ServicePlus Home Warranty costs

Plans generally range from around $50 per month to $80 per month. Prices will typically vary by location, home size and selected plan, so the best way to get an accurate cost estimate is to request a quote from ServicePlus Home Warranty.

ServicePlus Home Warranty coverage exclusions

Preexisting conditions are not covered, which is standard with most home warranty contracts. Additionally, there may be parts or components of covered items that are excluded from coverage.

For example, while air conditioning systems are covered under the Platinum plan, replacement filters for those systems are not provided, according to ServicePlus’s sample service agreement. With appliances, items like knobs, dials, shelving and any removable accessories are generally excluded from coverage.

ServicePlus Home Warranty claims

You can file a claim 24/7 online or by calling the ServicePlus claims department toll-free. After you submit your claim to ServicePlus, it will assign one of its approved local contractors to your case within two business days (four days on weekends and holidays). The service provider will then contact you to schedule your appointment, and you’ll pay a service call fee, which is specified in your contract.

ServicePlus guarantees labor for 30 days and parts for 90 days. Should a failure occur due to the labor provided on your repair within 30 days, ServicePlus will send a technician to fix the problem at no additional cost to you.

There is no limit on the number of claims you can make during your contract term. However, there are dollar caps on some covered items per contract term.

ServicePlus Home Warranty coverage limits

ServicePlus Home Warranty places coverage limits on certain items. If the cost of a repair or replacement exceeds this amount, you’ll be responsible for covering the remainder of the costs yourself.

ServicePlus caps coverage at $1,000 for certain brands and at $1,500 generally for access, diagnosis, repair or replacement of all covered items. In addition, it has some per-item coverage limits. This is the maximum dollar amount the company will pay out per contract term for specific items.

*For access, diagnosis, repair or replacement (per contract term)

The company is a complete fraud. First, they promised everything, the truth is they do not cover anything. I will give them a rating of minus 0. As a matter of fact, I am filing a formal complaint against them. Please, if you have been deceived by this company, get in contact with the BBB. They did not send me the Home guarantee guide until a month has passed and they already charged me 500 dollars to star on February.

When I realize 2 more payments of 299 have charged on my credit card. On March the 2nd and April the 2nd. When I asked for service. Because I paid for the Platinum package, they were supposed to charge me only 45 dollars for service call. When I checked the paperwork they were asking for a 100 dollars for service call. When I requested a service nothing was covered. The first page said they cover everything. When you read the subsequent pages, they worded this way: service parts are covered and you read the two lines of what is covered and 80 lines of what it isn't covered, if you are lucky to be able to see the type, that is minuscule. The owner of the company have a email address that isn't existing. If you try to contact him, you aren't going nowhere.

He also have acount on Instagram and LinkedIn. You can't get to him. All the contacts are fake. Please read the fine print of the contract and you will find out. Don't fall for it. And if they get you, please let's get together and file a Class act demand in Court. People that scam should be punished by the law. They target older people.

I am also complaining to the Council of Age. They don't want to give my money back. I request a refund because my stove top reheated and goy damage, of course, they send a good local man who determine the glass should have been change because the heat will not be conducting the right way because the glass was damaged. They only cover a 16 dollars sensor. The worst part is that I call and ask to terminate the contract and they still charged a different Credit Card without my authorization! I will pursue fraud charges. I don't give them the credit card number, but somehow they find out ??? How? Please don't fall for this scam!!!

I've had this warranty for my home appliances for a while now. I filed a claim for a broken dishwasher two months ago. The only thing they will tell me is that there are no technicians available and so they continue to send me emails offering a less than $200 or up to $200 reimbursement for actual costs. They estimate this is way less than the actual cost of a repair. So far I haven't seen anything other than promises of a potential reimbursement. I would avoid this company like the plague.

Don't get a ServicePlus Warranty contract- Save your money and just pay the cost of repair yourself- Because that's what happens when you get their warranty contract- Bad customer service and never can send a tech out to fix your problem appliance anyhow- Stay clear of this company.

This was the absolute worst home warranty experience. I had some electric problems. The first person fixed the symptom, not the root problem that appeared a few months later. My heat wasn't working. The tech said a compressor needed to be replaced. That didn't sound right to me. I had my HVAC people come out, as I have a maintenance agreement with them. They confirmed my heating system was working. It was an electrical issue. It took a while before Service Plus could get a tech out. Then my power went out throughout my home except my refrigerator, coffee maker and my wi-fi (thankfully, I could still work). Fortunately, it was a warm fall, but it was now December. I called an electrician and had to replace my circuit panel. Service Plus agreed to refund my money. After countless calls and promises it is in process. It took 2 1/2 years to receive. The technicians did not seem very qualified at their job.

My mistake was paying $1500 for a 3 year plan upfront. The 1st couple of years, we didn't need anything. Then the stove eye died and the oven was acting up. They changed out the eye but did nothing for oven with a $75 copay. Called again when they never came back re: oven, they wanted another $75. By then a friend fixed. Next was the AC. Not cooling. Waiting on tech to be assigned. Called everyday nothing. That's been 6 months ago, they still have as open not assigned. Again we had to fix.

Yesterday hot water tank leaking, called and got the instant no coverage on ruptured tank, only mechanical covered on hot water heater. Refused tank coverage. I lost my mind on them. Apparently it's a one man show desperate for money. Learn from me, Home Warranty are a scam. Took out extra policy on hot water heater, septic tank, free standing freezer. All the fine print will ensure you're not insured.

I've had this washing machine for less than 5 years. It was a top of the line machine. ServicePlus sent a technician 10 days after my request, and unfortunately was not able to repair it. The supervisor at Service Plus was nice enough to inform me that they were not going to replace my washing machine, but give me the pro-rated amount of $250. After complaining for several minutes, the supervisor bumped the amount up to $300. Wow! So generous! Why did I ever go with this company? They said the check will be sent in 6 to 8 weeks.

Stay away from this company. They do not deliver and they lie. I have a contract with them and I filed a claim April 26, 2026. I have spoken and written to them several times 1-844-619-1115. They assured me someone would contact me for the repair of my dishwasher. As of today I have heard nothing. They are dishonest and are not honoring the contract I have with them... Stay away from this company. They are terrible!

I would give ServicePlus zero stars but it won't let me. I have been with service plus for 4 years and oh, let me tell you they're real quick to take their monthly payment on time!! I only called for service twice the whole time I've been with them or using their service, I placed a service call on May 23 or 22. I live in arizona and it's freaking hot. It's 105 degrees today and in my house it's 115 degrees. We are a week and half 10 days no air, waiting and still no service, no tech, no call, nothing! I The over the edge part is after 10 days of Service Plus of them making excuses. They emailed us saying it's not covered 👀! Excuse me... I can't believe they are allowed to scam people.

I wish I would of never trusted that service Plus promise. If my kids get sick after a week in this hot house I don't know what to do but to call all channel news that will air this service plus bs service. If my kids get sick from sitting on this hot house I promise we will be in court without a shadow of a doubt. I am 10 days waiting for service. This is the worst home warranty company service. I don't recommend. I should of stayed with first American. They are the best I will say. Smh!

I hope service plus really thinks about the service they provide because they say 24 to 48 hours for service but I guess because I really need them to fix my air I gotta go through this frustration and my kids my poor kids have been living sleeping in this horrible situation waiting on service plus to get some know how. This is the worst and best part about it and making I'm sorry if I am rambling, This company is full of crap. Not covered!!! Wow. Hard working people you think you're paying for a service and all you get is attitude, rude representatives that can't really speak english, they don't know what they are doing! And the worst is the customer service! Ugh!!! The universe don't like ugliness.

We paid this company for years but when we filed our first claim they couldn’t be found. No call back or email to even acknowledge our claim. Then when we called to cancel we were told we couldn’t until the end of the year which was seven months away. And they were very rude about it! No thank you!
