Super Home is doing as best as they can. The service was very professional. They were very expedient. I had to make an adjustment to my appointment, and the Super customer service line was able to help me out very quickly. So, it was good. First-time homeowners should be aware of the upfront charges that the company is gonna charge for whatever service it may be. For me, that was one of the bigger things with this company that really helped me out. They have good pricing, and they offered good services for people who just moved into a home for the first time as homeowners.

Our experience with Super Home has been fine. The couple of things that needed fixing, got fixed. Occasionally there was the typical insurance, like, “I'm sure this was a pre-existing condition. We’re not going to cover it.” Or some attempts to get out of paying, as expected from insurance companies. But otherwise, it eventually got taken care of. For our recent claim, the igniter for the heater wasn’t working. Toro Heating and Cooling were perfectly fine and helpful. I appreciated that they were able to finish it early because we had no heat. It was 2 degrees out. One time, though, I was trying to put in a request for something, and it requires you to put it in a specific category, and it didn't fit into any of those categories. There was nowhere to put it in. There was no other option.

Jim - Thank you for your insightful feedback! We appreciate your account of your experiences and we are thrilled to learn of your satisfaction with Toro Heating & Cooling. Super looks forward to future opportunities to assist with your home warranty needs. Should you ever find yourself questioning what category your claim belongs to, please don't hesitate to reach us! The contractor that we had for an electrical issue was wonderful. I don't know if my electrical outlets were old, but all the plugs were falling out of them. Super sent Keith out to replace all the outlets. I bought them and he replaced them. Keith was great. Super Home is a different story. They're a colossal pain in the **. They deny anything and everything like that's their MO in life.
I have a 32-year old HVAC in this house that I moved into. It's working okay, but every time I get it inspected, the inspector was like, "Hurry up. Replace that. You're gonna be sorry." I called Super 'cause that's a good10 grand to do that. They were like, "Does it work?" I said, “Yes. It's 32 years old, but it works.” They said, "We're not going to do anything." I asked, "Okay. Do I need to wait until the freezing? I have to wait till it breaks?" They said yes. I asked, “I'm happy to put my money into it. Can you even give me a little bit back or help?" They said no. They gave me the 15 things they won't cover when it does break. I don't even know how much money I'm gonna spend if I wait on it breaking, which is what I'm doing now. I've called them for other things. They were like, "We don't do that." They've helped with some things, but overall, not enough.

Carol - Thank you for sharing your experience. We regret to learn that your policy does not offer the coverage you'd hoped for. Your home warranty offers coverage for mechanical failure while preventative maintenance and upkeep is the responsibility of the home owner. Should you have any further questions regarding your policy or coverage, please feel free to reach us directly.

We have an ongoing issue with getting pool contractors out here. We had one contractor come out and because there's only one spot to say what's wrong, I just put down the major issue but there were multiple issues that were wrong with the pool. The pool contractor didn't put those issues in. When I contacted Super Home about it, they said that I had to do another claim to get the heater looked at. They sent the same contractor out again. They looked at the heater and they wrote down the information incorrectly. They said that the heater wasn't working, which wasn't the case. The heater worked - you just couldn't read the display because it was burned out.
I told Super Home that the contractor lied because the heater works great. I told them I didn't want that contractor out here again. They said that I'd have to pay another fee if another contractor came out and found the same issue. I told them that's fine so they set up to send another contractor out and no one ever came back out. They've canceled the claim and I got tired of dealing with them, so I don't call anymore. But there was another claim when our oven stopped working and that went great. The guy came out, found the problem, and fixed it. The oven was up and running on the same day and that was smooth and fine. With caveats, I would recommend Super Home.

The claim submission process with Super Home is easy. I just do it on the app. A technician came out recently, and he was awesome. He was here like five minutes and fixed the door. I also have somebody come out for a ballast light and for a fan. He came out, cost me $89 and said, "Oh, well, you have to get these parts and then call me when you get them." If I knew what I needed, I wouldn't have called them. So I'm sitting here with no service. I've already paid the guy $89. Everything else has been fine. Everybody's been really friendly.

I was suggested to buy your home warranty for the first-time home so that I can request services for cleaning up or fixing minor issues at my new house. Super Home does not offer services for cleaning duct, adding pipes for radon, cleaning windows, checking gas fireplace. Also, Super home provides me a maintenance service for HVAC system. However, the home warranty won't cover the pre-existing problem for my old HVAC system. If the home warranty offers those services above, then, I will keep my home warranty for years. SK.

I had a plumbing issue and doing the claim to Super Home was extremely painless. I just provided the problem with some photographs. Super arranged everything. Then the individuals who came out were really helpful, friendly, easy to get in touch with and exchanged numbers so I knew exactly what time they were coming. Also, they give you the window, so you can prepare accordingly. So, that makes it easy as well.
As far as the warranty, one of the things that we did look at that relates to plumbing, is how far the warranty covers on the property in case it falls outside of what the warranty is. So, for instance, it's important to know if any piping that's coming in or out of the house are covered. There were a lot of services that we were reading that we didn't realize were covered as well. When we first had a rotor issue with the plumbing, we didn't realize that it was covered. So, we already had a plumber come out and do it, and then we realized that it was covered under warranty.
While they provide the documentation, it's important to read through all the fine print of what it does cover and what the exclusions are. We've been recommending Super Home to people that we know are either buying homes now or have existing homes and they talk about various repairs and things that they have. It's a great value. We always talk about how it does. I feel that it's paid for itself each year that we've renewed.

Justin - Thank you for your feedback! It is wonderful to learn that you have an understanding of your coverage and what is covered. We will always remain an available resource to answer any questions you may have regarding your coverage.

The plumber that we used over the summer, kept rescheduling. Then it got past the time. The person, every time he was supposed to show up never showed up. Then he would call five minutes before the end of the window and say, “Oh, there's really bad weather.” I'd say, “Where are you? There's no bad weather here.” He said, “Oh, well, where I am there's really bad weather.” I said, “But you were supposed to be here.” He had ghosted us for 24 hours. I'd spent more than 24 hours waiting for this guy over 10 different times that he was supposed to show up. But he never showed up.
I called and kept trying to get in touch with a supervisor at Super. Nobody ever called back. Then they told me I wasn't allowed to talk to a supervisor. I called about this one particular thing, which to this day is not resolved, at least 20 times. At one point, that person at Super said, “Yeah. We know.” They got the guy's name as Eddie. They said, “Eddie has got 200 outstanding things right now. He's really busy.” I asked, “Is he your only provider? He's the only plumber that you use?” But for our electrical issue, Keith was great. He has been out twice and he has been fantastic. He is very thorough, professional, willing to troubleshoot until he can figure something out.
But we've had Super Home for more than six months now and I don't honestly know if there's a way to escalate things within the company because there doesn't appear to be. It's like if you don't get something resolved with the person that's on the phone with you at Super, you can call back, but you're gonna get a different person that's at the same level. They say that they escalate it internally, but you're never allowed to talk to anybody else.

It used to be I could get somebody on the phone really easily with Super Home. But then there was a period of time where it was harder to get somebody on the phone, which is understandable. The app is easy to initiate the claim. We're happy with the quality of the people that come out and the variety of categories. We had one thing a while back. It was a ceiling fan that wasn't working. It ended up being confusing about what was covered and what wasn't. At the end of the day, it still wouldn’t work and we still didn't have enough fans so we ended up having to buy our own and get our own electrician to install. But that was a kind of a one-off. Everything else has been pretty favorable.
However, we have no paperwork whatsoever from any transaction. So that could be improved upon by Super Home. I'd like to have something tangible to be able to print out and keep in a folder or even just keep electronically. Something to where we have some record of what took place, the name of the parts that they fixed. I might remember at the time that it’s being serviced, but a year from now, I'm not going to remember what they did or what was the situation, a repeat of the same problem or just a different problem? But this past year, the amount we saved far surpassed the annual payment of having the policy. We're still planning to renew it again.

Super Home is absolutely great. The water line inside the freezer door broke. In order to repair it, they would have had to replace the freezer door itself in order to connect. The condenser and compressor were bad as well. Super Home elected to go ahead and pay for another refrigerator. They immediately had the funds available on a Home Depot card. We bought a brand new one. It went pretty smooth, especially going through the periods of COVID. They were working remotely. It took about two weeks.

There had been zero communication. I finally bit the bullet and called the local plumber that I know to come in and deal with the issue. I will be asking for a full refund of my money. I've had Super service out to my house three times in the course of the year, and I get statements from them that said, “You saved $611.” But I haven't, because they haven't fixed my problem. We've used Super to repair several things in our home, including our stove, dishwasher, and leaky toilet. All of the claims have been successfully resolved, but with the stove and the dishwasher, the repairs took a very long time. The repairmen who came out to look at the appliances didn't have the parts on hand to do the repairs and had to submit requests to Super to approve ordering the parts. There is often a breakdown in communication between the service person and Super during this process, with neither reaching back out to the customer to give them an estimate on when the part will come in and when the service person can come out to install it. During this lag I've had to contact Super multiple times to get status updates on the parts. It would be great if customer service could improve to better manage this communication.

A day later still no updates, emails, and still showing a closed claim (it still wasn’t). I called and dealt with an associate who was not terribly helpful or pleasant, and asked to believe that in 3 days of trying they have not been able to get an electrician to answer the phone or call back. I, without the leverage of a larger company’s resources, have indeed separately been able to reach electricians with a same day response so I struggle to believe this is the case.

I am very happy with my Super Home Warranty. In 2020 my furnace went out in the dead of winter during Covid. It was zero outside or close to it and we had no heat and of course it happened on the weekend. They first sent out someone immediately within 24 hours to see if they could get it going which they did l unfortunately boiler didn’t last because I needed a new part but it was sufficient enough to warm up the house and for us to get heaters.
I appreciated the diligence of the service worker who came out in the freezing cold day after day to keep the furnace working until our part arrived. You cannot beat that! It’s easy to mark good service when everything is OK - the supply chain, plenty of people at work etc., however this was a hard earned four star review. The majority of the claims have taken multiple visits from the service tech. We've filed 10 claims in the past year and we had two that went smoothly. Super Home closed and marked the claims as completed before the work was done. We had one instance where we were told that we were having an AC cleaned and the maintenance people allegedly showed up. But they never contacted me for any entrance information. Super Home closed the claim and collected their $600. But we never had our AC cleaned. That issue went on and was just resolved last year. Our tenants went the entire summer without their AC. The last claim we made was to have the boiler maintenance done. Unfortunately, that hasn't been resolved yet.

The technicians did a great job but the communication between Super Home and the technicians as far as when the service was going to happen, not so much. We had a repair that the technician supposedly sent in the request. Super claimed they didn’t get it and it was over a month later. It was only because I reinitiated.

Kevin - Thank you for your honest feedback. We sincerely apologize for the significant delays you experienced. If you have a plumbing issue, sometimes that can be pretty urgent. But you can never get anybody out here for 3 days at a minimum so that kind of sucks. For example, our drain was broken, and that it was stuck on. The tub wouldn't drain. I looked for somebody on Super, and they came out, but it took them 3 days. We also had a leaking air conditioner. It had condensation in August of this year. I'm not ready to turn the AC off for three days. There is no procedure for emergency situations and it's a real nightmare sometimes. I've considered switching somewhere else that has some quick response track because there was something that couldn’t wait three days one time. I had to pay somebody out-of-pocket to come to do it instead.
The contractors have been mostly really good. I like the appointment thing and I click three available appointments. It's just that I hardly ever hear from them, and then I just get a call and they say, “We're on our way. We'll be there in 30 minutes.” So, once I have one of those work orders submitted, I have no choice but to work from home until somebody comes ‘cause they don't do a very good job of giving me a notice. I use the Super app and it sends an appointment notification. But the techs that come out tend to not care much about what the window says on there.
Then the washer and dryer guys seemed to be struggling compared to the plumbers, the air conditioning techs, and the other people that have come out. The dude that came to fix something with our dryer forgot to hook the exhaust hose back up. We got the dryer fixed, and again, we had to wait three or four days. We were anxious to do some laundry. When I opened the laundry room door, 45 minutes into the dryer cycle, it was humid as New Orleans in July in my laundry room.

We had a sewer line that was broken and it just got fixed. But it was expensive. My portion was over $2,000. I thought that Super Home would pay for everything and I didn't know that it was going to be that much. The technician told me that it was a root from a tree and it wasn’t covered. But then I've used them several times and everything’s been okay. I just had to call back to get the status and the service that they were going to do.

We had to get our outlets replaced. They were wired in such a way that our inspection showed them as wired correctly. When the electrician popped the box out for an unrelated reason, he realized they were not, in fact, wired correctly. He ended up putting in GFCI outlets, which are safe without requiring the ground. However, Super Home didn't cover any of it because it was a wiring issue. I told them that electrical is covered in the policy. They said yes, but that is only when it's insufficient capacity or overload. I was like, “Well, it's not that we're overloading the circuit. And it's not that we have insufficient power. It's that they're not grounded.” They said that it didn't count. But that didn't make sense. Then they changed strategies.
They said it didn't count because it was a prior repair. I told them that we haven't repaired anything and that this is the condition we bought the house in. The whole point of a home warranty is you get what you get, and then you put a warranty on what you get. They should cover anything that breaks after what you get. It was obviously not a known preexisting condition because their electrician found it while he was here. They went through the entire terms and conditions. At one point, I asked them how are they defining capacity, because it doesn't seem to me, in my understanding of the word "capacity", to be a capacity problem. They looked up the definition of that word and told me, “The definition of capacity is XYZ.” They were reading it off the internet and then they got halfway through. It was funny because I told them that the definition of capacity isn't what they were saying.
At the end of the day, they said that we could say whatever we want, but they would not cover it. I told them that's the word in the contract we signed so the word in the contract matters. They still insisted that they would not cover it. But it was absurd to have someone say the terms in our terms and conditions don't matter. I am not usually this litigious of a person, but I was a little bit frustrated and thought they were a little bit nickel-and-diming me, so I was going to nickel-and-dime them back to a certain extent.
We got the guys out to do all of them, except three, which needed additional work. Then they went MIA and stopped returning my phone calls. I reached out to the electrician directly and asked to come finish the work four weeks later. They just came out last week and finished it. I haven't received the bill yet. Since we prepaid it all with Super, I'm hoping I won't receive a bill for the last three outlets. But they'll be hearing from me if I do. However, it was just this one time that was really mishandled. We've had several claims because it's an older home and Super has been pretty good with most of them.

I'm not very excited to have Super Home because even though I have the premium coverage, if there is an issue with something and the technician comes and he can't identify in the first initial visit and things don't fully function, Super Home still requires to pay $75 for a second appointment and consider that as a separate appointment. I'm not really happy about it.
If a customer or a client puts the ticket through for an issue, if a technician comes in and looks at the equipment or appliances and can't find all the issues, he identifies one or two. In our case, it was just one issue that he identified, and then he didn't report the second issue along with that. When he came back to take care of the first issue, he saw that there was something else wrong with it. He said he could do it when he comes back with the part and I just needed to let Super Home Warranty know about it.
When I called, they said that it was a separate issue because the technician didn't identify that during the first visit. It's their job to identify things, and if they are not able to identify that during the first visit, but they're able to identify that during the second visit, it's still on whoever they're contracting out with. They should not be restricting it to just the first visit. It should be for as long as the issue has not been closed or resolved. Whatever the technician identifies, that should be part of the coverage.
Other than that, scheduling appointments and having the technicians come down has not been a problem. But it's just that this is the only thing. It can cost me a lot if the technician is not well-experienced and I'm not the one who's picking and choosing those. It's up to Super Warranty and whoever they are contracting it out to. That is the biggest challenge I'm having.

Super Home is more hassle than it's worth. There's a lot of restrictions on what's actually covered. By the time I end up paying the initial premium plus any of the additional co-pays, I'm not positive that it comes out beneficial. One time, we had an undiagnosed problem with our pipes. The team that was sent out needed to tear down some drywall to look at the pipes. Then I’ve spoken to somebody from Super saying they had talked about how the drywall would be replaced because it was in the process of figuring out what the problem was. But then in a subsequent call, I was told that was not covered from it, and so that was disappointing. It’s still open in our closet. However, I did have some okay experiences with them.

Since then, we've filed one claim for pest control. We did it through the app and at first, it wasn't extremely user-friendly, but I'm not really the most tech-savvy person so that's part of it. I felt like a lot of the questions that I needed answers to initially weren't there. I called to make sure and I was able to get someone quickly and easily. The contractor that was sent out was on time and it worked out well. This is our first home warranty and in talking to friends, it seems cooler, younger, and easier to use than a lot of the older home warranty companies.

The people with Super have been very nice and easy to deal with. The only problem that I have is with contractors. Super Home subs a lot of the work out so they're at the will and the bay of how good of a contractor they get to do the job. The one guy we dealt with wasn't bad but he didn't communicate. It took a couple of weeks for him to change out the faucet which was fine but it would have been nice if he told us what was going on. We had to keep calling Super to ask and they would inform us and be really nice about it.
Super does very well. They have an online chat. Also, I can call them and the wait line is not that bad. But if the subcontractor has to send a report after every time they come, maybe when Super puts that in the system, there would be a code that automatically feeds to my website that says "Hey, the report was sent in. Here's the bluff, bottom line up front", just so I know what's going on and I don't have to call Super. That would also cut down on calls to them on "Hey, what's going on?".
Read policies so you know what warranties cover. Super covers a wide range of stuff which I'm very impressed by. I can't fault them for the subcontractors. This company is doing the best they can.

It’s easy to request a service online from Super Home. But we’ve had some difficulty in terms of when someone comes out and services things that there has been one or two times where they haven't resolved the issue. It's been a little tricky to get further support and to understand how we communicate that we need it. We had a sump pump and it broke so we had someone come out and try to fix it. But we’re not sump pump experts so we didn’t understand that it wasn’t fully fixed. Then you get an automated email asking how the service was. I marked that it wasn’t okay and that we needed follow-up. But we never heard back from them.
Apparently, that’s some automated thing and not the way that they flag that you need more assistance. So, Super Home should make it clearer on what to do if the service was not completed properly. In terms of COVID stuff, a lot of the services that we thought we were getting when we signed up, even when we signed up for the second year, are still not provided. I would look at those and question when they might be available for those who are looking at new warranties.

You’re working from home so things are changing but it is what it is. It takes days for the contractor to come and sometimes, even a week or two. But it depends. In the summer, I had a sprinkler leak. All the sprinkler guys are super busy in the summer, so it takes them a little bit longer which is like all the AC guys who are super busy. You just have to be understanding. Everybody is in the same boat right now and contractors hard to find.
I have a little bit of an issue right now but I'm assuming it should get resolved. I had an issue with my dishwasher about six months ago. The guy came out and said that nothing was going on, and walked off. This time, the dishwasher was stopping and the guy came out last week. He told me that he saw it stop but he didn’t know why and that it was a part issue. So, he told me to give him the timing. So, I gave him all the timings for the next couple of days when it kept stopping. Then, the vendor said that they have to come again and if they can’t figure it out, then they’re gonna say they don't know what the problem is. I don't know how many times they will come and see the same thing. But they're gonna do their best not to spend the money to replace it, which is their duty. But I’m happy and I don't have any issues.

The last two times I used them, Super sent me a schedule saying, "We're confirmed for this day and time." Then I was waiting around for the contractor to show up. I called the contractor and like, "Oh, we had you on the schedule for this day and time." They weren't synced up and that was pretty irritating. But in the end, everything's always worked out. Just a little bit of a waste of my time when the first appointment falls through.
One time, a part failed on my HVAC system, and it was extremely cold out, and it was an emergency situation. I got an HVAC contractor out immediately to repair it and then I asked Super if I could submit the invoice to them. They said, "No. That's not how it works." It would benefit to change that policy to allow us to submit bills after the fact so that if we're in an emergency situation, we can get ahold of someone that we know who's readily available. Usually, with Super, I have to wait a full week before I could get a repair done. In an emergency situation, I need it done ASAP. There should be a way that I can submit something after the fact.

I have a buyer's policy that was included with my home purchase. This policy supposedly covers any problems we discover upon purchase that were not disclosed to us by the seller. The day we closed we went to the house to turn on the AC. We came back later and it was even hotter in the house. We contacted Super. Several days later they sent someone to look at it. This individual was hours late, not wearing any company attire and in an unmarked van and had no company credentials. However he did seem to know what he was doing. He told me the unit needed replaced and he also told me Super would not do anything about it. He tried selling me a replacement on the spot. He told Super it was working and needed no repairs, while still contacting me to sell a replacement.
Super sent someone else out. Again no company attire, unmarked vehicle, no credentials. He didn't seem to know what to make of the system at all. He told Super the vents were the problem (they weren't). We had several reputable companies come and diagnose the issue. Both Cardinal and F.H. Furr said and gave us documentation saying that the AC was not functioning and needed to be replaced.
I called Super and they argued with me about it. The fact is, an AC system is not working if it's making the house hotter than it is outside. They agreed but wouldn't do anything about it. I paid to replace the system. They asked me to provide proof that it needed to be replaced. I sent it to them. And sent them the bill. That was over 3 weeks ago. I have followed up several times and cannot get a response. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and with the VA Attorney General's office. I'm also looking into small claims court. Do NOT waste time or money on this scam company.

I've had several claims with Super Home. The most recent claim was for yard care, fertilizer and weed. I am rural. I'm an hour and a half from Chicago, on the Wisconsin border, about the same time from Milwaukee, and a little bit closer to smaller major cities like Waukegan, Illinois, and Kenosha and Racine, Wisconsin. Super has a few in network providers here. So, in the case of lawn care, I went out and found my own provider and got them hooked up with Super. I had a claim in on a Maytag washer, and they had nobody in network. That was the same thing for my refrigerator. They laid it on me to find somebody and then have those people come in and then they had to call Super to get authorization to do anything.
In one case for Maytag, they had me contact Maytag to get into Maytag system, which I did. Maytag said, “Oh, we only deal with American Home Warranty. We don't deal with anybody else. Good luck. Goodbye.” So, I have to find somebody, and that's not my job. Super is selling me a home warranty service, and it's up to them to find service providers that will work with them. It's not up to me.
I haven't put a claim to them recently. I'm thinking about it. It's a simple plumbing job but by the time I get everything done and deal with home people that have a small business running out of their basement and wondering if they're good service providers, I've wasted hours if not days. I end up wondering what's going on. I've had a couple conversations with supervisors at Super. They know what's going on. I'm a customer service guy. I know what customer service is, I know how it's run and I know what it's supposed to do. It's just not easy. I understand the pandemic had something to do with it. They do use that as an excuse. But the pandemic’s over. Is the service gonna change?
When we finally get down to getting somebody in, it works. The one contractor that they brought in for my refrigerator went out of his way to make me feel like I had no idea what was going on with the refrigerator. I think they fired that service. He was incredibly obnoxious. So when they find somebody, there has to be some kind of interview process where they get a good feeling that this person or company is going to give good service or if there's just somebody looking for a paycheck.
I understand Super is a startup. They've only been in business for six years now, but by that time, they should have figured everything out. Their VP and co-founder left the company. That didn't give me a good feeling. Super has heard from me a lot and they've gotten a lot of negative comments from me. I told my Realtor agent, "Don't ever suggest Super to people out here in this area." Super got to learn that rural people deserve the same kind of service, if not better than city bound people.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and recommendations for improvement. Super is committed to providing our customers with better experiences and your feedback is a necessary part of that process. As Super grows and expands our network we will continue to add more servicers to support our customers. Super Home has been okay for minor issues. We've had our icemaker fixed. We had some original issues with the AC units and they sent somebody out and fixed them. The biggest problem has been HVAC and we have been trying to get it fixed for a year. We've had 10 appointments. Today was supposed to be the 11th appointment, but the contractor canceled and they are coming out tomorrow. But in those 10 appointments, three of which were canceled, and four companies they've sent. It has been an absolute unmitigated disaster with Super. They pick the companies, then the company comes out and diagnoses stuff. Then Super says they want second opinions. They send somebody else out, and the company diagnoses something, and then Super says they want a third opinion. They don't listen to what you say. They don't listen in phone calls. I've had rude people on the phone.
We had an issue one time and we were trying to get Super on the phone to resolve it. I had to spend half my vacation on the phone trying to call them, waiting on hold, and then one guy hung up on me. They didn't listen. I told them that I was on vacation but they went the next day and scheduled somebody to come out. We had to call them back again going, “We're in Florida. Why are you scheduling stuff?” You tell them what timeframe you want somebody to come out, but they don't care. They just schedule something willy-nilly. You have to take time off.
I wish Super will fix our air conditioning unit and then we could cancel them. We're so invested in trying to get this fixed now because it has cost two years of fees and eight days of missing work to get this taken care of. My time off of work is money. My leaves to go and spend time with my family and do vacations, I wind up having to spend it to deal with Super and their joke of a HVAC process. The problem hasn't been the HVAC company, per se. They've had some bad schedules and they don't communicate very well. But Super has been the problem. How many times they gotta send their own people out that they pick and then they don't trust them? If they don't trust them, why are they hiring them? So it's been a very, very poor experience.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues you've experienced with your HVAC unit. Super is working diligently to review your claim and will be in contact with you to discuss a resolution. We encourage you to reach us if you have any questions in the meantime.

Also, it's sometimes hard to understand what they will do. The last time I had the AC done, a guy came, spent 20 minutes, made something, and was done. On the other side of plumbing services, they are very tactful when they come. When they changed the water heater, it took some time but it was okay.
Our experience with the home warranty is not the best but it's above average. Super Home is a good company with a good product. They can really make it amazing if it's easier to reach somebody in person. When you're waiting, there are a lot of companies that the service where you can just put your own phone number and say, “Give me a callback.” And the service comes to you. You're not holding on the phone for an hour or 45 minutes to talk to somebody. If Super Home can have that, it would make things easy.

The only complaint I can think of is that when it’s hot in the summer and if our air conditioning goes out, I make an appointment online and it still takes three or four days for a guy to get here. But other than that, of the seven times they had been out over the last two plus years, six were phenomenal.

Hi Adam! We are grateful you let us help you care for your home, and we appreciate your feedback - it helps us to make Super better, every day.

We've had some continual problems with our air conditioning unit and Super Home just keeps throwing money into repairs and freon and the unit just keeps breaking. I don't think the contractors have a clue of what they're doing. Super Home sent out one person that actually was an AC person. He replaced our fan and did a really good job. But usually, they just send out these people that do all different kinds of things. They don't have any one specialty. They’ve been out here five times on my AC. This last time was the first time a technician ever went up into the attic to look at it. The whole issues that I'm having is the whole reason why I selected Super Home to begin with. I decided to go with them because they had an unlimited amount towards air conditioning and my unit is older. If you're gonna get Super Home for your large purchases like your AC, do not even spend the money because they're not gonna do anything to fully fix it.

Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience with Super. It saddens us to learn that your experience did not exceed expectations and we strive to provide exceptional experiences. While Super does not offer unlimited HVAC coverage, we do work with you to ensure the coverage you purchase properly suits the needs of your home. Super is committed to continuously improving our processes and customer experiences and hope to provide a better experience for any future claims. Selected SUPER based on their tech platform and a referral. Over a week for a claim review, spent 4+ hrs on phone, declined claim. T&C shows it would be approved. Complete scam of a service, waste of money, and too much stress. Avoid at all cost. Save your money and put it into the new appliance you need. Don't be a fool and spend 10 days swapping out towels under your leaking water heater waiting for them to approve your claim. Juan was kind on the phone but calls were dropped multiple times after being told we would be assisted. There is no home warranty on the market that truly works well. We emailed the CEO as well and he never responded. Here's our review. Happy to provide feedback if you need but will never recommend Super. Emailing our real estate network to deter their clients from Super as well.

Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your recent experience with Super. We regret to learn that coverage was not extended to your unit. Super understands just how frustrating it may be when these unexpected expenses come about. Our team is appreciative for the wonderful feedback regarding your interactions with Juan and we sincerely apologize for any issues that occurred during your communication with Super. We are always committed to improving the customer experience and hope for the opportunity to offer you a mutually satisfactory experience in the future. We signed up with Super in Nov 2020 in hopes of a high end experience to cover our home that we just renovated. We loved the idea of the concierge service and Super's promise of a better customer experience. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. Every claim has been a hassle and required many many phone calls and weeks of waiting. Their providers are mostly incompetent and therefore there has to be a second opinion to correct the issue. I have two claims currently that still do not have resolution and one of them is over 3 months old. I have also tried to speak with a supervisor and or a customer experience representative. No response. I have also asked about the options to cancel my contract and no response (I have called three times and emailed 4 times). They even blocked me on Facebook when I commented with my experience.
Pay $280 per month which is a lot of money compared to the other home warranty programs out there and it isn't even worth $80 per month. I am still waiting for them to get a second opinion (their request) on my garage door which is not operating properly on a consistent basis. How hard is it to find a garage door company in the DC area? Not that hard. They asked me to take a video to prove how it wasn't working which we did. This company is incompetent and I hope people read this before they find themselves in the same situation as we are in. Lots of money for a home warranty and no service.

Our homeownership have had some ups and downs but Super Home has been helpful during the more recent months during the pandemic times. It was harder to get through to their customer service representatives and that was sometimes frustrating. But in the end, they resolved everything to our satisfaction. There was that one time where it was more difficult submitting a claim. I don't even remember if it was a delay or something I needed to reach the contractor about and couldn't. But usually, it takes a day to get the appointment set like when our washer broke. On the next claim, I sent the email at night and the next morning, I had a confirmation of a time when a contractor could come out.
We had quite a few experiences with contractors and all but one was excellent. The installer put in our water heater wrong and that caused some flood damage. So, that was upsetting. But that was the exception to the rule. We had probably seven other service providers who were all great. I would use them again even if they weren't affiliated with Super Home.

Super Home has been super easy to use and that's why we've extended for another year. I've had about five claims. It's an older house. The most recent one was for a toilet that was constantly running. We just put in the request through the app, and they scheduled the appointment and the person came out. He was a little late because of his previous job. But he did what he needed to do and fixed our problem relatively quickly, and then he got on his way.

So far, we've been happy with Super Home. In the last year or two, we've gotten our money back of our policy. And we’ve only been told the pre-existing condition thing once or twice. So, Super Home had at least split the cost with us, or spent almost twice as much as I have on the jobs. We have had to, say, pay $400 of a $1,200 repair, but Super Home helped us out every time.
We put multiple things in the contract for the current owners and the seller to fix. We knew we had a house that was built in 1978, and some new appliances, some not-so-new appliances. So, from a risk standpoint, 1,000 bucks a year is probably something that will hit with our type of house, and how hot it gets, and how often our AC runs, and how often we use hot water.
Before the storm, we submitted a claim. Our upstairs HVAC igniter and some other things weren't working properly. Super Home accepted our claim. It was only 75 bucks to us and 890 to the other area. Because of that, we were much more comfortable during the freeze because we somehow did not lose power. It made us look like geniuses, and Super Home guys did well for us.
Here's another example. We have two units. One upstairs, one downstairs. Our downstairs unit went. I was able to get with one of Super Home's representatives or someone that is closer to the top that I had the number of. I was able to skip to the top and say, “Hey our AC capacitor’s out. We can't run the unit downstairs. Upstairs unit is struggling.” Super Home put us at the front of the line because we had babies, and came the next morning. We put in the claim 8:00 AM on Thursday, so it would be a Monday or Tuesday type deal. And it was really hot. So, a lot of other people had the same exact issue and we still skipped the line.

Thanks Ross! We appreciate the positive feedback and we’re proud to help you care for your home.

I've had one visit that went well, which was a locksmith. Super Home covered that well. But the other thing is when we moved in, we discovered that the HVAC system had tons of problems, and the worst being that the main floor of the house was not possible to heat it during the winter. It didn't produce any pressure. I read the terms of coverage thoroughly, and I thought that I had a good idea that they would be covered by the warranty. It's a specific kind of system, and I repeatedly asked them to send out a technician who was certified to work on these systems. But they didn't do that. But not only that, they actually send out technicians who I looked up the companies that they were with, these companies were not even certified to do any work at all in DC. So, they send out technicians who were unlicensed to do work in my house, which was appalling. I told them that.
They gave me authorization to go out of network to get a diagnosis on my own, and then, they denied the claim. It was a huge headache resulting in nothing. And it seemed like they were doing quite a lot of work to deny my claim and avoid paying out even a dollar for HVAC work. And the fact that they send unlicensed technicians to do work in people's homes is ridiculous.
I've had to call several times, I've repeatedly been told to expect a callback, and have never received a callback. So, it has taken a lot of work to follow up, a lot of waiting around, a lot of people having to tell people the same details of the case over and over, until finally, I got this authorization to go out of network for a diagnosis and estimate. I concluded that I needed to redo the whole system after talking to many HVAC companies. I sent them the estimates which was large, but I thought maybe they would cover some of it. And then, after sending that in, I got the first callback I've ever received from them, which was from a very lawyerly representative, someone who's clearly higher up than the other people I've been talking to telling me exactly why they were going to deny the claim. That was the only time I've ever received a callback.
I've come to the conclusion that Super Home is pretty much a scam. If I have another problem with the house, I don't think I would even bother submitting a claim. It's much more of a headache than it's worth. And it seems like their energy is completely devoted to denying claims. I would never recommend anybody buy a home warranty if my experience is telling.

I use Super Home all the time and it’s usually for plumbing. The tech recently fixed my sink again. Our garbage disposal wasn’t working. He came in, fixed my sink, and my drain in the bathtub in my master bath. He was perfect. He answered all my questions. Every time they come out, they go above and beyond. Super Home's reps are super friendly and helpful. Every time I call, they try to help me out. This is the second time I’ve had an issue on my garbage disposal. Before Super Home sent somebody out there, the rep tried to help me fix it. He gave me instructions. Super Home has been very convenient. I've had little difficulty, in the beginning, not knowing if I cannot really call them to try and communicate. I'm not computer-savvy. The application for this warranty is quite easy, but the service sometimes is not the best. The follow-up with some of the persons that are working for Super can be improved. We have been dealing with the washing machine for almost two months and the issue is still not solved. We have two different technicians. I had five visits from one technician. Then I had two different visits from a second technician. Still, it is not working properly. I would like some answer from Super at some point saying they cannot sort out this issue or they cannot get a solution and that they recommend buying a new appliance. Having in the middle of a pandemic, people coming on frequent basis to my apartment with my wife pregnant is not the best situation.
The second issue is with the ability of a technician, you need to call and make an appointment. The second technician just sent me an SMS saying he's around and if I have time for him to come. I have to stop everything I’m doing on my job just to let him into the apartment and wait for him until he's finished. If I don’t pay attention to what he's doing, the probability this is coming back in five days is closer to one. They need to be more careful with their clients’ time. I’m a very busy person and I work long hours. Then this person just shows up whenever he wants. Also, this second technician always had some problem parking close to our apartment.

If you have a choice between using Super or setting your money on fire, set it on fire. We had an issue that persisted through multiple years and contractors with Super regarding our HVAC system. Their contractors would basically tell us the system was trash and didn't work efficiently and would need replaced but Super wouldn't do anything unless it was basically on fire (though that's not covered either). They would make band-aid fixes which they said probably would not fix the overall problem. They were correct and finally this year the tech said the blower and heat pump weren't compatible something I feel should have been covered during one of the multiple other visits. This of course is NOT covered by Super! So 3 years of Super, half a dozen or so visits by their tech contractors, and we are finally told the system will never work right AND probably never has and saddled with replacing the system ourselves! Complete garbage!

I booked six different appointments with six different vendors and they said that all my issues were preexisting conditions so I ended up having to pay $75 for a lot of that. That was kind of a bummer. Other than that, I liked everything. Super Home also offered a concierge service through which I can have someone come in and install ceiling fans, do carpet cleaning or rekey my front door. They gave me a credit for that. It was really nice as those are items someone would wanna do when they move in. The offer gives a big discount on those services.

So far, my experience with them has been good and I haven't had any issues. But I was not aware that when there was going to be a premium afterwards. So the plan itself is the price that they've showed on the plan packages and I wasn't aware that anything that's covered under your plan, you still have to pay an additional $75 each time you set something up. That is a little frustrating because I would have liked to know that that was going to be the case beforehand as I would have thought twice about signing up.

The claim that I had with my hot water heater was not covered. We're not pleased with the technician that came out nor the charge that was charged to me for him just to come out and take a picture of the hot water heater. The only issue I have is this ongoing furnace thing. And they have found every reason under the earth. The first person who came out to see it said that it needs to be replaced. And ever since that guy said that, they've been sending people who say it doesn't. My heat would be at 70 when I set it, and then I wake up it would be 50. The contractor kept saying there was nothing wrong with the furnace. I said, "How is it possible that there's nothing wrong with the furnace?" Super Home had a guy who told me that I had to have all of my ducts cleaned to fix it. And then the ducts cleaning people said, "You do know this isn't going to fix your furnace." At this point, it seems to be working okay. But it is a 22-year old furnace.
What the furnace people had me do is just change filters. Every time my filter is dirty, they would say that's why the furnace was not working. I've owned homes before but it doesn't go from 70 to 50. My Realtor bought me a nice Nest thermostat. I had somebody switch it out, because maybe that was why. But it still happens where I would wake up and it would be 30 degrees cooler than it was when I went to sleep. But I don't know how to convince Super Home to fix it because they don't want to.
Super Home has some people who they know will say no, no matter what. The problem is it's intermittently working. It has to be literally broken. But if it's intermittently working, that is broken. But they don't seem to agree. If it breaks, that means you have a bigger problem, where all my pipes break. And those are all covered under Super. I had the same problem with my air conditioner where they wouldn't fix that one either. It was intermittently working. Until it was absolutely dead, no coming back from it, they would not do anything.
They've had three different companies. Their first company is the one that said the furnace needed to be replaced. Everyone said that it doesn't. And the guy who said that I needed to have all my ducts cleaned, I got all that ducts cleaned done, still had the problem. Yet the person they sent the next time did a quick fix or something cheap. And he said, "Oh, well, this needs to be replaced." It hasn't been so bad at this point that I felt the need to call again. But there is a very good probability that when I'm gone for a week that I could go back and the whole thing could be just dead.
Super Home is great with some things, but not so great with others. It is because it's a high ticket item, they don't want to replace it. I understand that. I didn't buy a house anticipating that I would need to have a furnace replaced in a year. And the thing is, the people they've had come out say about my 22-year old furnace, "Look, this thing's made better than the new ones. The new ones lasts for maybe 10 years." So, I'm hesitant to get rid of a good machine, but I want something that works or find out what the issue is so it doesn't happen again. But it was consistently happening once every few weeks.
Some of their people have been great. I had to have my toilet fixed, and every plumbing person that had come out has been awesome. They just came out and changed it out. I was a little annoyed that I didn't get to pick the toilet. The guys just showed up with something. And there was no communication. But it's fine. It works. It's a toilet. And most of their stuff, they try and do online. They want you to use their app. But I would physically call them because one minute one the thing is working, the next minute, they would say something is closed and I would be like, "But nobody even came out." Some people have been very helpful, as much as they can be. But there's only so much for a phone person. Much of it is whoever they are partnering with business-wise.

But the customer service people are a hit or miss. Some aren’t very well-versed and have given wrong information about policies and whatnot. But some are great. It's just not consistent. They're just not there. That's frustrating because they're the ones that my clients, who I refer them to, see as a primary point of contact.
If I could recommend one more thing, as far as the customer service goes, they should also have two kinds. I have a Super Home warranty, things like that. But then also, I have them for clients that I have a seller version for people that are gonna be selling their homes. They need their own type of customer service people separate from the regular public that calls them because the type of service and warranty that they have is different than all the others. It's more specific. When my seller clients are calling customer service direct, the customer service people don't know the difference. They almost may need their own dedicated line for these types of clients. It cannot be the same as just someone who went on the website or got their info from somebody else.

They were very willing to listen to my plight and make a better decision than even the computer could allow for. Super easy and very accommodating.
It was two plumbing issues. They sent a couple of companies that I wasn't pleased with. The one they just sent out was really great. I couldn't run the water in my sink. Those other big companies that aren't as good are what's being thrown at people right now.

I couldn't figure out how to log in to the app. The rep said that she was our on boarder, and that the title company hadn't given them our contact information. So she was waiting to get our contact information. So it was just a fluke that I ended up calling her. The tech that came out for the rekey did awesome.

We had Super Home come out for a couple different things. They've been helpful. It's just it's hard to tell sometimes what's covered. One time, I did try to call to see if something was covered with a plumbing issue that we had, and they couldn't give us a direct answer. It would be helpful to know like a specific list of what's covered when you call.

I was referring Super Home to other clients and then decided to use the home warranty for my home as well. Doing claims has been pretty simple. Only thing that I didn't like was on one of the claims, when the rep got here, he said one of the items wasn't covered. I ended up having to pay an additional amount. My air conditioner was like dripping excess water on the side of the house. He did something and it wasn't covered. I had to pay like an additional $100 and something for him to be able to complete the job. So, that was a little disheartening. I had purchased the extended stuff that I needed. So, if there were any additional things that needed to get done, I purchased that extension part of it as well, and it still wasn't covered.
My air conditioner started dripping again. So, I had to call them back out. A different contractor came out. I don't know if it the first contractor just didn't know what the rules were. Super Home could have them educated on what's included and what's not included. I had a client that I referred to Super Home as well, and it was a used home resale. And right after she moved in, something happened with a water heater. They gave her the runaround. So, I didn't like that part.

I had an issue with the hot water heater and the technician fixed the valve. He was great. One of the things I liked about him was he explained to me the process for why they weren't going to repair the whole water heater. While I disagreed with the decision, I understood him clearly. He said, "This is what the company calls criteria for the full replacement. It doesn't meet that criteria." So he did everything he could. His explanation was helpful. But the locksmith who came about a month ago came slightly ill-prepared. He was supposed to provide keys in addition to changing the locks and he only had two. So for seven locks, we only had one key for each. But overall, Super Home's service was good.

We've had to use Super Home twice for two issues. The First time, there was no problem. But the second time, we were extremely dissatisfied with them. We had a sewer issue with some sewage in our basement and they said they would reach out to someone to get someone scheduled to come in. But four days later, they had no one scheduled and they still charged us the service charge. Had I not noticed it on my credit card statements, nothing would have been done. I understand their policy of making sure they get the charge on file for whatever reason, but I see that as pretty unethical. We canceled the service request and demanded a refund. We had contacted someone else to take care of it and it was fixed right away. So, we didn't even go through the Super Home system because it was pointless.

I liked everything Super Home offered. It's been too good to be true, so I was a little cautious. If I found them on my own, I wouldn't have trusted that everything that was there was so. A friend of mine referred me and having a recommendation helped to sell it. I initially called and spoke with someone who answered all my questions then I filled out everything online. It was quick and straightforward. The rep was very good too. She was very informative. I had a lot of questions and she answered everything honestly, very detailed, and she helped make me feel at ease with what I was reading was true.
I've used them twice already and they were able to get me appointments quick. I'm hoping that that stays the same if something else goes wrong. The locksmith was great, but I'm still a little skeptical about the plumber. I'm not sure if I am 100% in agreement with what he diagnosed the issue to be 'cause he didn't do too many things, but I'm not a plumber either. Maybe what I was expecting is not realistic. Super Home also doesn't cover the work that I needed done and it was what the plumber suggested.

I'm a Realtor. Super Home had a rep come out to one of our classes. I wanted to try them out to see if I wanted to refer them to clients. I signed up for a year and left my other one, Landmark, to try Super Home out because I liked what the guy said that Super Home did. I was satisfied with the plans offered but I, unfortunately, have not had the best experience. I have not renewed as of yet. I'm still waiting for something to get wrapped up. I've been trying to get my dishwasher fixed since November, and it's still not. I find that the problem is the communication. Every time, I've had to be the one to follow up. My case manager has never reached out. They've told me, “Oh we’ve left a message. Your case manager should be calling you. He should be calling you.”
One time, I've gotten a follow up call. I was told that they only hire people with five-star reviews and they only send people out with five-star reviews. That was one of the things I loved. But we were sent some people who weren't five-star reviewed. Then we've had one guy come out twice. He came out for my fridge, and then he came out again for my washing machine. He did the same thing each time. He did the easy fix, and then when the problem is still there, I called back each time. All of a sudden, he either had surgery that very next morning or he was sick and couldn't come back out.
So then Super Home sent me somebody else out for my dishwasher. He came out and said, “Okay. Here's what needs to be done.” But then he never even called in our problem to get the part ordered. I called back two weeks later and said, “I haven't heard anything. I'm still waiting.” They were like, “Well nothing's been reported.” I had to be the one to call and get things done. It's still not fixed.
Everybody is very nice when I talk to them on the phone, and they all seem to know what to do but the callbacks and the follow up were awful. I really wanted to refer them out and I haven't signed up with another warranty yet, because I was really hoping for something better. I did tell somebody about Super Home before and I'm like, “Gosh. Well, I'm kind of glad they didn't sign up with it now because of my experience.” At this point, I'm very dissatisfied. I got an email saying that there should be a part coming in, but I still haven't gotten a phone call. To me, if I'm trying to help people fix major appliances in a home, and that's what my whole company is for, then I would be following up.

I used Super Home for an air conditioning service and it wasn't a very good experience with coordinating the date. In the location, I go in, and I put the date and hours that I prefer. They request slots and when they answer back, they just put the one that they want and then you have to start calling them to tell them if it's not in your options. You give three alternatives, so stick to one or don't give them. They put one that I was not going to be here. I called and called, and when finally I got someone, I explained and they changed the date.
The person came. He called me in front of the building and he told me that he was here for the service. I said, "Oh, I called and I canceled that service, I will have to go out in a couple of minutes because my mother has an appointment. I was going to take my mother to an appointment. We're about to leave." In the day of the service, a person came. The service was good.

Submitting a claim with them was very simple. I went online and filed it. They sent somebody over and took care of it the next day. I have this warranty on my rental property. When we set my account up, it was on my credit card. So, when my property manager wants to do something, it charges to my card, where my lease has it. The tenant’s paying for the service charge, so I can't do that. They should let a third-party pay for the service call versus the owner of the property.

Recently, we had a gas leak in our house that they refuse to repair for six months. We went round and round with them. They finally replaced the furnace but not after many phone calls, many people in my office getting involved, and many people going up the chain of command over there getting nowhere. There weren't any surprises, so I was very happy.
But the few times I had to call in to follow up, which is fine, but I get disconnected all the time after being on hold for a long time, and they never call back. I always get to call and end up with a new person and have to explain the whole thing over again. And when you’ve been on hold for 40 minutes, it's frustrating to have to start over. When I first bought my house, I was with a different home warranty company. I became a realtor and Super was one of the home warranty companies that was on the list of different home warranty companies that we would send to our clients. My broker vouched for them too. My clients were always asking me for different options for home warranties and I would send them about four or five of them. About 80% of the time, they would select Super because they like the price and the package. When I went to renew my home warranty, I decided to go with them.
I don't like Super at all anymore. They sent somebody out for my dishwasher and my garbage disposal. One guy came out, looked at my dishwasher and said, “Okay. That's all this is right here.” I asked, “Are you not the same person that's going to look at my garbage disposal?" He asked the model number for my garbage disposal and said, “I got it. I'll take care of this. When I order the part for the dishwasher, I'll order the part for the garbage disposal as well. Call Super. Let them know that I basically took care of both of them and I'm going to submit the request for both.”
I ended up doing that and this guy ended up getting sick. They ended up having to reschedule somebody coming out to fix my dishwasher, which I was fine with. But when the guy came out, I was thinking he was coming back with the part because somebody had already come out and identified what was wrong with my dishwasher. But the guy didn't even know what was going on with my dishwasher/garbage disposal. He looked at my dishwasher and said, "This is what's wrong with it.” I said, “I know what’s wrong with it. I thought you were coming back with the part that's wrong with my dishwasher.” He said, “No. They just gave me the work order to come out here to see.” I ended up calling Super and expressed it to them. They apologized for the confusion but no one has ever come back to fix my dishwasher. I ended up calling a handyman that I know. He came out and ended up fixing my dishwasher and my garbage disposal.
My HVAC went out and they sent out an HVAC guy. The HVAC guy came out and said, “This is what’s wrong with your AC.” They were gonna order the part, but it was over the weekend. They said it probably wouldn’t happen until earlier the next week. It was in the middle of the summer so I spent a whole week at a hotel. Finally, they called me and said, “We have the part. We can be there on this day.” I was super excited. He came with the part and installed it. Before he left, he was outside for 30 minutes doing paperwork. I went and caught him. I said, “I don't feel anything.” He said, “It should take a few hours for it to cool up.” I said, “Okay. But I don’t feel anything coming from the vents. I usually feel something almost immediately.” He said it would cool. 2, 3, 4 o’clock in the morning, it was not cooling.
The next day, I called them. I told them nothing was changing on my temperature. The guy that answered the phone asked me to check something. I went outside, and apparently, the guy that went out there forgot to turn something back on on the outside unit. I sent him a picture of what he wanted me to send him. He asked me to turn that on so I did and it started. A week later, something else happened. My secondary line was dripping really bad outside. I called them and it was a few days before they were going to be able to come out. I had that same handyguy go and move the secondary line a little bit away from my door because every time you walked out, it was dripping right on you.
The AC guy finally came. It was the same freaking guy that did my AC that I had the issue with the previous time. He went up there and started to look at some stuff. He said, "This is what’s wrong with it. We don’t cover this so it’s gonna be this much extra to fix it.” At that point, I didn’t care. I didn’t want it leaking and I needed it done so I told him I'd pay that extra which was between 200 and 300 dollars. He said they had to order the part and all I got was a notification saying Super does not cover it. I had to get it on my own. I ended up calling another HVAC company. They came out within 15 minutes. Whatever it was, they didn’t need an additional part. One of the little PVC pipes had a crack on it. The guy glued it and it was fixed within 15 minutes.
I don’t plan on renewing with Super and I will not recommend them ever again. Other stuff has happened but I’ve never called Super again. It’s disappointing. Had it only been the HVAC people, I would have understood it. But then, whoever that guy was that came to do my dishwasher never inputted the information into the Super portal so Super could know what part I needed. Whenever they do bring a company on, I don't know if there's any homework being done on these companies to make them part of the network.

It took about four visits over several months to kind of isolate and deal with the issue. We had a coolant leak on our heat pump so we had someone come out first in the spring. They decided that the most expedient thing was to top it off which was fine. In the fall, we started having issues again. We had someone come out and they said, “You don't have a leak and everything is fine.” We had our own contractor come and take a look and they said, “You’re light by two pounds and you definitely have a leak. They put that in then it worked for a bit.
We reengaged with Super Homes to get someone to look for the leak. They sent one contractor who was like an apprentice. He didn't really know what he was doing. He said, “I should get someone else to come back.” We asked them to send someone else out and after a bunch of back and forth, we got a different contractor to come out. He looked and did find the leak. He coordinated with Super Homes to get a new replacement coil ordered. They sent him back with the part except they had sent him the wrong-sized coil. Also, she sent it to an address that she got out of my email signature, and didn't cross reference it with my account. They had it delivered to my office, instead of my home. She said it auto populated from my email. I told her that my policy isn't at that address and it’s not the same zip code. So that was a little bit frustrating. My property manager was familiar with working with Super Home. So, I picked them and talked to an associate first. Then, I looked at the policies and filled out what policy would match my needs best and I went with the most common one. There weren't many options. There were just options based off of the size of the home, then you tailor it to your needs. As a first time home warranty buyer, it was a little confusing but that might just be my lack of getting one before.
So far, I've had three claims. When I have the techs come out, they schedule it however long until they can get someone out there. The company they hire doesn't call me with the results of the fix and my tenants don't understand what the fix was. So, I have to call Super and ask about that as well as the cost. I have that for my record-keeping but having a written report would be more helpful. After the contractor comes to fix something, they could report what the issue was, what was fixed, and how. I like what they offer for preventive services like rekeying and vent cleaning. It’s a lot of stuff that’s not covered and if it is covered by other warranty companies, it’s not easily identifiable on their sites. But it's very easy on what Super Home covered and didn't. I had my heater checked since it's starting to get cold. Super Home sent somebody out and they checked it and they said everything was fine. They found one electrical wire that they said was put in incorrectly. I asked the tech if that was able to be corrected because on my plan, I can update something that was done wrong. He said he wasn't sure. But my heater is on, so when it gets cold again, we will be good. So far, I've been pleased with Super. They've been very responsive.

We have four places covered by Super Home. It has been nine months so it's still new, but we have had six claims. They have a phone app and you submit a request on there. As long as the request is standard, it's smooth. And depending on what the request is, depends on how quickly they come out. If it's something like if it's 100 degrees outside and then the AC breaks, they get somebody out a lot faster than if it's not a huge emergency like the third toilet in the home is clogged.

About a month and a half ago, we had someone come out for my HVAC. They did what they were supposed to do and it was pretty good. It was good customer service and fast. If I had any questions, they were there to answer. They're quick and that I don't need to do much for them to come out. Usually, I can just call and tell them the issue and then they come out, and then they just fix the issue. If I have any further questions or any other issues, they're willing to come back out. So I really enjoy that part about them.

I'm very underwhelmed and disappointed with Super. The challenges that I've had with them have really been around. First, getting in touch with anybody is sometimes a really long wait. I've had to submit my number and didn't get a callback for two or three hours. I've also had issues with the vendors that they use. Not always the most professional. With the most recent claim, I was very clear that I needed my HVAC unit cleaned when I submitted my online request. When the HVAC technician showed up, he said the request that his company received indicated that it was just some general type of maintenance that didn't include cleaning. He didn't even have the tools that he would need to complete the task and that he would have to come back. Thankfully, he let me know that the HVAC didn't really need cleaning. The only reason that I had asked for the request was that I was selling my house, and it was what the buyer asked for.
The system tricks you into thinking that you've actually selected an appointment time or an appointment range. Typically, when I was going through the system, it might say 8:00am to 12:00pm, and then the technician wouldn't show up until after that, or the only time that it was available on there, 8:00am to 5:00pm. I wish that this system actually lets me select a realistic window time when scheduling. I also wish I hadn't signed up for Super. It's an annual subscription. I no longer own the home, so I'm not sure that I can stop paying it.

I've had Super Home send out a contractor to do the fall furnace inspection. Just tune-up. The technician came out. He came out with all the COVID stuff. He had a mask and was very respectful. He asked if I wanted him to put the booties on. We showed him where everything was. He was done maybe in 15 minutes, came up, then told me something about my furnace. I had no idea that we had a humidifier there. He showed me where it was and how to use it. I've been in the house for four years and didn't know how to do two things that he showed me how to do, so it was great. I had a different home warranty before and they had come out to do the seasonal furnace inspection but never said anything about either of the things that he showed me. I've been getting my money's worth.

The belt of our dryer had broken. The tech fixed everything. He was great. He said he’d been doing appliances for 20 something years. All was good. But I wish the claim process with Super Home was less online, and more where I could call and actually speak to somebody. They make you do everything through an app which seems to slow the process down more than you like.

I haven't had good experiences with warranty companies so I posted on Facebook asking if anybody knows of a good one, and someone suggested Super. The application process was easy. The salespeople should have plenty of time to reach out to get back to people or answer the phone call, and that's where the money comes in from. That's not what my full experience was. It takes some time to answer the call or get back to you. The door of communication was open but they're not always the friendliest. I'm in sales. I wouldn't have signed up based on their salespeople.
The plan options were good. They are expensive but I thought that I would get more better service and that they’ll be easier to work with. I expected them to be better to work with as far as getting claims approved, but I still have to fight with them to get things approved that should be covered. Then they tell me things aren't covered when it says my plan clearly covered them. I don't appreciate me having to wait. On one claim, I'm still waiting two weeks on it. They can't tell me anything about what they're gonna do two weeks after they'd come here. Not two weeks since I made the claim. In another one, they came and they're giving me reasons of why they won't fix the issue.
There was one claim where they kept denying me even to come to my house. I had to struggle with them just for them to approve them coming here because they said it wasn't covered, but it was covered. Then they came here and then after that, they would deny. It's covered. It's in black and white here. The same thing is happening with another claim right now.

The project is still not done and I am a little bit surprised with certain things. My understanding when I was buying the home warranty was that more things are covered or the service is faster. But it seems like these days, everything is blamed on COVID. I'm a broker and I don't believe it. I work with contractors every day. Recently, we had to hire a different company for a yearly clean on the furnace. We already paid for the service of the furnace and air conditioning in the spring. It also seemed like we had some issue with the furnace. It stopped working and the terminal started with a bad connection. I told Super Home we would like to schedule a cleaning but the rep said due to the COVID, they don't provide that service anymore.
The people who came in did a good job. We had a problem with the faucet and that guy was beyond amazing. The last person I talked to was a guy who was extremely nice. I thanked him 10 times because I appreciated his politeness. The person I talked to before was a woman and she was really mad. I'm in customer service too. Even if I have a bad day, you shut up and you just do whatever to make client happy. It seems like the person was working from the house and it was not very helpful or polite. But I will recommend Super Home. I always like to give companies or people second chance ‘cause most were good experiences. 92% I'm happy, 8% it’s kinda of like a cloudy vibe.

It's my first year with Super Home. One experience was perfectly fine. The plumbing issue that I had was taken care of super-fast, super-easy, and without any issues. The other two were not what I was anticipating. They were kind of weird. There was a switch that stopped working. I had them come out for my doorbell. The electrician said he was gonna call Super Home and put in something to replace the doorbell. But he had them close out the file and that was it. I don't know why he did that. I put that request in too, but I didn't get any callbacks or any sort of response from Super Home. He got paid and that was it, which I didn't appreciate.
I had made a call a few weeks ago which they charged me for but they didn't come out at all. It was for one of the sprinkler heads outside for the irrigation system. It’s shifted but I had them winterize everything on the outside so I'm just gonna have to wait until the spring. But I have to go back and call them to see if they can make sure everything was refunded. I don't think anything was ever taken care of nor did anybody call to get it taken care of.

We've had a few claims with the air conditioner, and in general, it has been pretty good. I submitted all of them online through Super Home's dashboard, and then they gave me a time frame and then the actual contractor called an hour or two before they show up. Super Home satisfactorily addressed the AC once last summer. It needed more Freon. And then this summer, there was something with the wires and they fixed that. The issue with some of these warranty companies is that they push it to the cheapest option or try to make it such that they will fix the unit again and again rather than replace it when it needs to be replaced. That could be a problem. But so far, it has been great.

We just got into a brand-new house and there was a lot of the smaller services that I could use with the service that I've purchased. That was discontinued for the year because of COVID. The first one wasn't good, but the second one was. They got someone else out immediately. So far, so good. The warranty has been reasonable in terms of what I pay out of pocket.

Our refrigerator in the kitchen - which an LG, bottom freezer stainless steel refrigerator started to make loud noises first and then the compressor died. I opened a claim with Super Home immediately on July 5th. They scheduled a technician to come to our house 3 days later. He came and confirmed the compressor was dead and needed to talk to Super and LG to order the replacement part and be back to fix it. I checked with Super the next day, they had no information regarding the tech's visit. When I researched the tech/company they assigned to fix the refrigerator, I found out that it was not a very small shop with 1 technician only. I raised this as an issue to Super, they said, they will check it out. I have not received any updates from Super next 3 weeks -- yes 3 weeks with no working refrigerator in July.
One of the customer service reps at Super kept texting me and asked to call the tech which I did. The tech never answered the phone and his voice mail box was full. This was the company Super selected to work with!!! Customer service at Super was absolutely horrible, no follow up, no updates no nothing. After 3 weeks and escalating through my realtor who recommended Super, a manager at a different department called me to let me that they don't even know if they can get the part from LG or not. Bottom line, nothing was done in 3 weeks. After hours of phone calls, emails, I told them that I will take care of it. They decided to send me $500 which was even less than 1st tech trip value according to their app (it was $700). The check was sent 3 weeks later. Meantime, I start to shop for a new refrigerator and ended up purchasing a similar refrigerator for $2500 which was delivered 2.5 weeks later on August 18th.
As a summary, I was without a refrigerator in July and August, between July 6th and August 18th, hottest time of the year for almost 6 weeks. This was my worst experience with any home warranty company even though their fee was the highest annual fee I paid. I am planning to terminate my contract when it's time to renew. I am not recommending them at all. They do not have a management team who cares about their customers and clearly that reflects on rest of the their employees.

I'll probably have them do service on the HVAC units in the fall. Our recent claim turned out not to be something covered under the policy, so we had to do it separately. But the service that was given was fine. They were responsive. That was the first time that we've had to pay for Super ourselves. It was previously covered by the seller of the house. So, we'll see if we renew it at the end of it next year.

The first year I had my home warranty through Super I was satisfied. I renewed and ended up paying about $600 more for similar coverage, which I wasn’t too thrilled about. But the real issue I have is with the customer service, and Super not taking care of things and I have to follow up MANY times whether it’s before someone coming out because they don’t schedule an appointment, or after someone comes out and the claim is never approved. i.e. I have an active claim on our oven that I had to follow up with Super 4+ times after the repair company came out two weeks ago, and it was finally approved a week later, and all 4 customer service representatives told me different things. The repair company word-for-word told me they have issues with Super everyday because the representatives don’t complete claims, save notes, or follow up with clients. This was one of many issues I’ve had, and it gets more infuriating every time.
I filed this claim with Super a month ago and my oven is still broken, in pieces and it’s one of the only ways we can make food because we aren’t going to restaurants with our baby and the pandemic. I’m a realtor and have put Super on all of my clients' contracts for the last few years, as well as my mom's contracts, and we’re in the hunt for another company because I would never want my clients to experience what I do. We’ve had several unhappy clients with Super too and it’s quite embarrassing for us! I highly recommend assigning each claim to a skilled and responsible representative that will follow through with every action item until the claim has been completed and the client is satisfied.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, there was a block and we could not schedule any services. There was no communication about when services would be restored or if we has a significant need everything was ignored. I'm very dissatisfied that when we actually needed to use the warranty we weren't able. I understand there had to be shifts, but there should have been more communication or even an extension to our warranty since we literally couldn't use it FOR MONTHS. I'm happy to speak with anyone, but if we are unable to get an extension on our warranty until late 2021 then we will not be renewing.

Super Home connected me with an account manager. Since it’s with a purchase of a home, the real estate agent and the account manager handled the signup process. I just went online and filled the rest out, and then got me all set up. The original plan option is minimal. The bigger stuff that typically warrants the majority of your calls, that's not included, stuff like refrigerators. Those are extra things like that, which was not made very clear. Also, the account manager tries to help. But when it comes down to it, they sent a lot of their people home so it's hard to get ahold of them. One time, I waited hours on the phone before I gave up. When I tried to use the app a few times, I couldn't get a work order submitted. And they told me that they're going to set some upgrades. On occasion, I've had trouble trying to even get a service order called in. It's not like the account manager can really handle that piece. But my experience was good enough to keep them.

I was presented to Super Home by my real estate agent and they appeared very forward-thinking and cutting edge, so I tried them out. However, their service was a big fail. I know COVID probably made things difficult, but there were months when I couldn't reach the company through online or phone. I had to cancel the credit card that I had the service attached to and I had to file the claim so that the most recent months weren't charged.
Super Home was not fulfilling the function of a warranty company, which is to be responsive when customers have claims and they're paying fees. And since then, the CEO sent out an email apologizing for the lack of coverage that they have for a few months, but by then, I canceled my coverage. Even when I had claims, you end up paying a deductible for somebody to come out, and then they cover some of it, but a lot of it you have to pay out of pocket. It's not something I would recommend to somebody, especially given their response for months on end.

We are not fix-it types. We don't have the know-how or patience so in buying a house, we had to have a home warranty. Super Home was the best at taking care of the problem and not like nickel-and-diming you to death when I did a lot of research on home warranties. People didn't have to fight to get things taken care of with them. There were a lot of people I knew who had horror stories with other home warranties where they paid and didn't get anything out of it. And they fought their warranty company every time they needed something fixed. Also, My realtor had suggested Super Home.
I filled out the form online and then somebody called me. This was about two years ago. The rep walked me through and I was able to really easily add on things because I wanted to make sure that my pool pump and things like that were covered. That was an extra charge but that made sense to me since not everybody would have a pool and pools would be expensive. It was also nice that I could get my water softener covered at an extra charge 'cause that'd be another thing that not every household would have. I didn't know anything about water softeners, so I'd be in trouble if it were to break.
The house that we moved into was previously a VRBO. This is our first house. We moved from an apartment so we weren't coming into it with a bunch of appliances. So we really needed a place that already had everything. The house had an old-fashioned stackable washer and dryer in there. It was never my plan to keep that stackable. It was not big enough for us. But I thought it'd get us through the first couple of months until I could get something better.
A week after we moved in, I realized that the stackable was broken. The transmission had gone out in it and it was getting transmission fluid all over our clothes. On the night I put in the claim with Super Home, they sent somebody out. The claim guy said it was not fixable. It would cost more to fix the transmission in that thing than it would to just replace it. Then the next day, Super gave me $1,500 and to buy whatever I wanted with it. Then it happened to be just enough money that I was able to buy a full-size washer and dryer with that money. So my first experience with them was quite pleasant because I was expecting to have to replace that thing on my own.
Super Home doesn't seem to be a company that's just out to get your money and not give you anything back in return. It's well worth it. Since we've been in the house, I had two toilets where they were constantly running. If it were just an old-fashioned flapper, I could change that. But they were the complicated Kohler ones, and so I had to have somebody come out twice and fix each one of my toilets. I also had a shower where the water wouldn't stop running because the cartridge broke in the faucet and the guy that came out fixed it and replaced the whole faucet for me. He could've just hooked my old faucet back on, but he fixed it all for me. All the people that Super Home has sent out have been really super nice. I've never had a problem with the contractor and with their billing. I would totally use them again and I recommended them to a lot of people.

The contractors have all been good and quick and they get the job done. Putting in a request is easy as well. I have an app. There's also a phone number. When I was told about Super Home though, I thought it was going to be more beneficial to have them. The initial idea was to save a little money on things that might need repair or done around the house and I don't know if that is due to Covid this year, but it seems like a lot of the services aren't available. When I wanted certain things done this year, I haven't been able to get them, so that's been super frustrating.
Earlier this year, I needed my trees trimmed and they said that it was not an essential service. Why not? It's a hazard and my homeowners' association is telling me I need them done. I had to pay out of pocket for that when I'm already paying $700 for the service a year. I also called when my AC system needed something and that was frustrating as well. I know what the AC was doing, but I didn't know if it needed maintenance or repair. I'm not an expert and I needed someone to tell me what it needed. That's why I have them. They said they don't do maintenance, and I told them that it would be helpful if they could send somebody out, so I could figure out what I needed.

Realistically though, it's not gonna be perfect all the time. We’d get some issues, but the most important thing is the way they handle it. That's what I like about Super Home. The last time was very to the point and efficient in solving problems. I only did one call and the guy figured it out and took care of it. I've had experiences where we had to go back and forth with other companies.
This is my second year and I'm happy with Super Home, especially with the last warranty call that I had where I got my call fee reversed. I called for a plumber and I wasn't informed the last one that I called him, it was something that had to be fixed because it's not covered by the warranty. Without knowing it, I called it and explained to the rep from Super, and he was able to reverse the fee. He told me that, “I processed it. I can't give you an answer right now because I have to bring it up to management. But if you don't hear from me, you'll definitely get an email if you got the refund or not.” A couple of days later, I got the email that it was refunded. They got to the bottom of it and got the issue fixed.
I was really impressed at how the plumber handled the situation about the plumbing system too. He went the extra mile. He looked at the history and he found out about the pre-existing condition. Had he not done that, we'd be going around in circles trying to figure out what happened. It saved us a lot of costs going back and forth. It was deemed as an unwarrantable item, so I couldn't fix it myself without having to call Super Home again and get charged with the $75. It's also good that Super Home took good notes on each claim, so at least they had a history to show and to at least give any feedback if there were any cases or issues to arise in the future.

Super Home's service has been amazing. I'm a single parent and I'm on duty at work full time. My life is stressful as it is. The first time I had to call them, my refrigerator compressor went out, my dryer went out, and my solar panels went out within like 10 hours span. One by one by one. It was a nightmare. My son and I went grocery shopping, put the food in the fridge and went to sleep. I woke up and lost all the food I just bought and the food that was already in the fridge. It was about $500 worth of food. It was bad. Super Home was able to send someone out almost immediately to fix that. The only unfortunate part is the person that they sent out within 48 hours couldn't do anything because it was under an LG manufacturer warranty. But it was still nice.
The following week, my AC went out and Super Home had submitted it as emergency. Unfortunately it was also on a holiday weekend but everything was understandable. I never felt like they weren't taking care of me. The most recent time was my water heater went out. It's Arizona so it's not too bad to have lukewarm water. It's probably hot when you first turn it on but it was nice that they still sent someone out immediately.
I love Super Home. I'm trying to move to Washington and I was gonna sell my house and buy a new house but I wanna keep them. I have also recommended them to people who are buying houses. I have airmen that rent and it would be nice if they have some sort of coverage. But if multiple things happened on one call when you're calling for a claim, it's just one fee. It's not $75 per thing which is awesome. I pay $52 because that was what the price was when I got it. But now, it's $45. It's not bad and it covers so much like electrical, piping, dishwasher, garbage disposal, fridge, range, microwave, washer and dryer and AC. That's just their small price and that's common because most people don't need more things. The next price up, it covers more like the roofing. It's nice that Super Home is something so affordable. It's been so helpful a total of three times and I've had my house for two years. All the people that they've sent are friendly.

We're buying the house and I looked at different consumer reviews of different warranty companies. The biggest pain point for a lot of people is a swimming pool which our house has and Super Home has the best coverage for it. I went with them and the claims process was quite easy 'cause I use the app. I just go in there and select what the issue is. Then I get two choices of the timeline for them to come. They've got different windows. Once you submit that, I don't know if Super Home has got kind of a service level agreement as to how quickly they get somebody, but usually within a couple of days, they assign a tech to it.
The biggest issue is the people that Super Home has sent out. The technicians that they've chosen haven't been ideal. Some of them were like on the bottom of their list because I guess we're further out than their usual client base. They get people from different areas of Houston that the technicians have called me and they're way off somewhere else.
We had some issues with the pool, of all things. Initially, Super Home had a company that half the time wasn't coming out like they said they would and I had to call back. There was so much follow-up on my part. Eventually, they went with a different company ‘cause it was another pool issue that we had later on and they sent someone else out. Communication's probably an issue between the technician and Super Home 'cause the messages didn't always get relayed. Once the technician diagnoses the problem, they tell me, "Okay, I need to let Super Home know if it's something approved or not, then you'll hear back from me when we'll schedule a fixed date." A week would go by and I wouldn't hear from either one of them so I would call Super Home since they're the ones who are covering. Their rep would say, "It's in our system now so let me push that through approvals."
We bought a rent house and I went ahead and went with them anyway to give them another chance. In terms of warranty type companies, they're right along with the rest of them. The advantage was the coverage for the pool but the level of service that you get right now has not been above the others. It hasn't stood out.

I've been a real estate broker for 20 years and I own a number of rental properties. When we sell homes to our clients, we always advise that they get a home warranty just in the event that something goes wrong. Being I've got stable rental properties that I personally own, having a warranty is a way to cover my back with tenants' needs, like when the air conditioning goes out or there are plumbing stoppages. I've always had a home warranty on my properties as well. Super Home has a better price and better coverage than other companies. Submitting a claim has been very easy. Online, I can just click from wherever I'm at on my phone, and I could submit a claim and a request.
The contractors have been very responsive and very professional, much better than the contractors dispatched by other companies, as far as getting work done efficiently, getting it scheduled efficiently, getting it completed efficiently and solving the problem. However, getting any response when you've got a problem or there's a follow-up and they need to order parts, I don't get return phone calls, nobody ever gets back to me. It took us three weeks to get a claim finalized because the contractor needed the authorization to get parts. They couldn't get anybody at Super to get on that.

My parents were aware of Super Home and told us. We tested them out while we were receiving the service covered by the buyer, and then we really liked it. So we decided to renew with them. The application process was super easy. Initially, to set the account up, our lender took care of all of that on behalf of us. So I didn't have to go through that process. When submitting work tickets, it's been pretty simple. It's all done on the app. Our experience with them has been relatively pleasant and easy.

We renewed with Super Home ‘cause we appreciated it. I like their business concept and how they were providing quality service and making repairs. The biggest, most recent benefit was our dryer went out. It was a large capacity dryer. We have a large family, so it was very helpful that they were able to replace it with a similar model.
There was a little bit of a struggle on scheduling and organization of the actual event on my part and their part, some miscommunication. I called in that time and then that was where we had some of the breakdown at first. I thought the rep was putting the service through, but she was telling me to go enter it in. I thought I had an appointment, but I didn't. But it all got worked out. I also appreciate the ease of the online option to be able to just pop in and make an appointment. The service of the contractor that came out was wonderful too.

My experience with Super Home is fantastic. I heard about them through a Realtor friend who said, "There's this new home warranty. You should take a look at them. They do things a little bit differently than most home warranty companies." The application process was simple. When they were putting my address, I had three options in terms of I can choose this or that, based on the size of my home, features, and stuff that I wanted to cover. I was able to select the option that I thought was best suited. The majority of what we're doing is all through the app. The app is simplistic and very easy to use. I just go on the app, I select an appointment, "Here's the issue that I'm having." They'll call me up and say they need to move something around. It's pretty seamless.
