Think twice before purchasing a Samsung home appliance. I purchased all Samsung appliances when I moved into a new home (only 3 years ago) with an extended warranty. 3/5 appliances have broken down beyond warranty repair and I’ve been told by the warranty company and Samsung that I need to purchase new products because the parts are too expensive. The repair people who have repaired some of the appliances already have told me they tell people to stay clear of Samsung as they have expense parts that fail far too often. Samsung customer service was absolutely terrible when I called and I will never purchase from this company again.

In April of 2023 we replaced our entire lineup of appliances. Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer plus a 75 inch television and 2 new S23 phones. Now mind everything is Samsung and the extended warranty was added on every item. After a month or 2 the $3500 refrigerator started making a very loud vibration noise and continues to to this day. The noise is not constant but is certainly noisy. Most repair shops I contacted wouldn't come to my house to look at it because of 2 reasons. 1-they have stopped working on Samsung equipment due to the horrible support on warranty service. 2- I didn't buy it thru them. Thus my refrigerator still acts up and after countless calls to Samsung it's still not fixed.
2nd experience....my Dishwasher stopped working around the first part of September. It's completely dead. I was able to contact a business to look at it. They've been to my house 5 times and the unit is still dead as a post. They state that carrying and servicing Samsung appliances has been a nightmare and are planning on stopping the sales and service. Again numerous calls to Samsung has been useless. Folks, I work hard and spending the money we did was a big deal and we were kinda proud to have all new appliances. But this has became a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. Please, please, please stay away from the poor quality items Samsung sells and buy from someone who stands behind their products.

After 18 months the dishwasher stopped working and gave an LC error code. I did some research and spoke with customer support. Both said the machine was detecting a leak so I called a plumber. The plumber said there were no leaks detected. That was $200 bucks down the drain. I contacted Samsung customer service again. They created a work ticket and said someone would contact me in 24-48 hours. They also said they would as a courtesy cover the cost of the repair, labor and parts, for this service. I received a text from the assigned company stating they do not do work that’s out of warranty and declined the job.
I spoke with customer service again who said they would find another company. After 2 days, I called them back. I was told the other company declined the work order. It would’ve been nice for Samsung to call me and tell me that instead of me having to call them. They assured me they would find another company in my area. Ultimately, I received a text saying they canceled my with ticket and suggested I look for a local company since they were unable to find one. They said since they couldn’t find anyone with whom they have a contracted service, they would be unable to cover the costs of the repair. Customer service is shady at best. They are not in the U.S. either which was not a surprise. They give you the same canned and rehearsed answers and promises and tell you what a valued customer you are and then don’t keep their word. Stay far away from Samsung appliances. Had the same issues with 2 other appliances with them.

This is review is based on 2 years of usage. I have literally hand washed vessels and put them in the dishwasher to see them come out with food debris. This is not a once in a while experience, in fact I feel lucky if the dishes come out clean some day - which is very very rare. I have tried everything from vinegar to a dishwasher cleaner and nothing works. One might think I need to clean the filter - well there isn't one that is accessible. It screwed down with a million screws under the bottom propeller. It relies on a cheaply made food shredder apparatus that is no good. Samsung's dishwashers are a testament to its low-quality manufacturing, and serves example how Asian companies rip off western customers. The company should not be licensed to sell American markets.

This model DW80R995OUS dishwasher leaked after three months of light use in our new home. It is still in for repairs and it's been over a month. We requested a new dishwasher as this is clearly a lemon. The water that leaked out damaged our new kitchen cabinets. Samsung has been avoiding us. Different people all say they will get back to us and never do. We have all new Samsung appliances that we should have never purchased. This has by far been the worst experience we have ever had in our 50 years of buying appliances.

We bought Samsung washer, dryer, fridge, gas range, micro wave and dishwasher. About 2 weeks after the extended warranty was up the freezer on the fridge stopped working and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge. The dishwasher, Model DW80M9960UG/AC has stopped working now as well. I guess we should be happy that we got that much use out of it compared to the experiences of some of the people posting here. It never did seem to clean properly and did give off odours. We bought a Whirlpool fridge and tomorrow I will be buying a Whirlpool dishwasher as well.
I will never buy another Samsung appliance of any kind. A costly lesson learned. At least we still have our old Maytag dishwasher we can use till the new one gets here. As the other ones start to go I will be replacing them with Whirlpool as well. I will also never buy an LG as I have not heard anything good about them as well. With this many dissatisfied customers you would think Samsung would want to do something, then again maybe not.

They wouldn't refund or exchange it so they sent Engineer #2 (missed a day of work #2 because their estimated time of arrival is between 8-5). The second engineer couldn't fix it. They said they would give me a refund...they denied it 3 days later. They said a second time that they would give me a refund, then denied that one 3 weeks later. It has been 10 weeks since I bought the dishwasher (brand new). It has done no dishes. I have missed 2 days of work. They still refuse to refund or exchange the product. 1000$ dollar pile of garbage, within the first month the wheels fell off the bottom rack, causing it to hit a spot welded part that holds the gasket in place. Called Conns to send a repair technician to fix it, he sat on his phone in my kitchen and said there's nothing he can do, he then voided the entire warranty with Conns and Samsung. I've been forced to MacGyver a patch. It also requires removal and cleaning all the internal plumbing every few weeks. Hands down worst machine ever made. It also on a good day gets 20% of the dishes clean. I'll never purchase another appliance from them again. Thank you for attending my Ted talk.

We bought a nice Samsung dishwasher from best buy about 3 years ago, according with the label attached to it was built on 04/2019 so is not an old dishwasher. However it's not working properly anymore, it leaves a lot of moisture on my dishes and the filters at the bottom have mold build up in a way that I have to keep cleaning it manually at least every 2 weeks. I have used special detergent ads that supposedly remove the build up but nothing helps.
It's not the hot water, after reading and Google the issue we found out is the heat coil which is the one in charge of heating and drying out the dishes and leaving them hot to the touch at the end, (that doesn't happen anymore) and there's a 5 year warranty for certain parts. I called Samsung and they don't want to help. They said the warranty is for 1 year and 5 if there's any leaks or the racks, etc., but not the heat coil. I am very disappointed at Samsung, this is something they should fix, is a very important part of the dishwasher in charge of the heating, without it there will be all this moisture and the reason why mold is forming.

Despite Samsung claims as to the quality of their dishwashers, our experience does not bear this out. It is super quiet, I'll give it that. However.. it does not wash properly. Every load almost a quarter of the contents need to be hand washed because they did not come clean. In order for even that much to be clean, it can only be loaded very sparingly with lots of space between items, and even then they don't all come clean. Loading is a nightmare. Tried following their diagram from the book that came with it, but it's a joke, there's no way you can load as indicated, things collapse on each other with no way to get water etc between, thus reducing the already very minimal cleaning ability. Also. It takes almost 3 hours to run, which is exorbitant for the very few items you can put in with any hope of them getting clean. Also, when it is finally done the dishes are completely wet so need to be dried. I gave up and now have this expensive worthless appliance taking up space. Hand washing is preferred over this disaster. I'm so angry we wasted the money on it and now can't unload it in good conscience to anyone.

I purchased all of the Samsung Bespoke appliances because the look great. However, they are extremely poor quality. The glass top on the ranges are prone to crack, mine did the first week I had it, Samsung will not repair or replace after many attempts. I had a cheap Frigidaire glass stove before this one and it lasted 9 years with no issues, fist week I had the Samsung the glass top cracked. The Dishwasher is the worst. It leaked after the first week which triggers an error code and the machine shuts down.
Using videos on YouTube I figured out how to fix it but I had to dismantle the bottom half of the dishwasher. While in there I found that the plastic frame was cracked, there was broken spot welds, the assembly was bad and it had drain tubes outside of the catch area and caps were off the washer assemblies. The dishwasher tub is coated with black sound proofing. It was melting off one side and I had to tape it all back on with packing tape. Had I not take it apart I would have never known and it would have melted off and dropped down on the washer pumps and parts. Very poor quality.

And the Samsung repair tech only comes to the area on Mondays, if it's not a holiday. Months of laundromats with a new washer. After 4 attempts and 2 months to fix the washer, it's still won't work. Samsung says it is still "exploring repair options." And it's always "sorry for the inconvenience." I have never seen less interest in customer service. And forget "the customer is always right". It's as if they think we're enjoying this or trying to scam them. And forget getting our laundromat bills reimbursed. We are just stuck with a washer that doesn't work. Okay, we got the Champagne colored Samsung Washer (Model# WA52A5500AC) and Dryer (Model# DVE52A5500C) with Smartthings Wifi. IMO this is the dumbest thing on a washer and dryer and totally unneeded. First off it is a pain in the you-know-what to setup the Smartthing app that then loads your Samsung account but, the verify button for the code doesn't work. You have to go to a PC and put the code in to get the app to work. It is just a mess. You also have to go between your washer and dryer wifi and your normal wifi to set up. Anyway, you have to walk to the washer to put your clothes in right? So why not just punch the buttons while you are there. Same thing goes for the dryer. You have to take your stuff out of the washer and put in the dryer.
Unless you have a super advanced robot in your house that can do the tasks to wash clothes and dry them like put in clothes, detergent and dryer sheets it is pointless. The washer and dryer work fine but, cost over 2K at Home Depot. Of course you have to buy a kit to go with them. If your going to put an app controlled appliance out make it plug and play instead of the confusing mess it is. For this review the "company" had to be listed but, you can't pick washer and dryer and you can't just use Samsung when you start a review. So I had to pick a "Company" name which isn't the appliances I am reviewing.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher, #DW80R7060US. It's pretty and high-tech with all the impressive features however, there's a problem that I have never experienced with a dishwasher. When you load the dishwasher but it's not full so you don't start it right away, and the next day, you open it back up to load more dirty dishes, it smells horrible. There's a moldy rotten smell, and I rinse all dishes with hot water and a brush with soap prior to loading them into the dishwasher. In all my years with many different dishwashers in probably 15 houses, I've never came across this issue.
Why is the dishwasher and/or the dishes molding and stinking while sitting in there rinsed? It is a very strong moldy smell and I cannot figure out why it's only happened with the most expensive high tech dishwasher I've ever had. I'm not doing anything different then I've done with every other dishwasher I've loaded. It's very disappointed. It has to be leakproof I get that, but do dishwashers need to have vents so it's not airtight when not running, I wonder... I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher.

I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer at the Home Depot. 15 months later the washing machine started shaking violently. I called the Home Depot and they referred me to Samsung. Samsung sent a technician to inspect the machine; he deemed it not repairable, since a component broke off and punctured a hole inside. I called Samsung and presented my experience as a reliability problem. Every person I spoke to; 3 CSR's, 2 supervisors and the office of their president keeps referring me to the expired warranty, I finally had to express that I understand the warranty portion.
I found on the Consumer Affairs site that the estimated time to failure for the machines is 15 years if maintained properly. I am troubled that I have to replace the machine now after 15 months, to me this is a design or workmanship issue that Samsung should be morally obligated to fix; they however feel that I do not know how to use a washing machine and told me that they are sorry that the machine broke. I feel bad for other customers that buy Samsung appliances thinking that they will not have to buy another one for 15 years... if you like Samsung phones, do not think that Samsung appliances have the same level of quality!

My dishwasher tub liner has a lifetime warranty which states that if it cannot be repaired it will be replaced. Goodman Home Solutions came on 9/7/22 and stated it cannot be repaired. Now Samsung is saying that because they can't get that report from Goodman, that they will not cover a replacement dishwasher. How does this even make sense??? Samsung is obligated to honor the lifetime warranty and replace my dishwasher. It's not my fault no one is able to get the report from Goodman home solutions.
Natalie the president of Samsung and the rest of their customer service team has the worst customer service attitude and lack of communication skills. They are robots who are taught to just repeat the same non-sensical lines to you over and over again without any higher level of thought. Instead of honoring the warranty by replacing the dishwasher, she thinks that just texting me a $450 coupon for ANOTHER samsung dishwasher is enough. $450 barely covers the value of a new dishwasher! I am certainly NEVER buying another Samsung product for as long as I live. Samsung sells poorly made products and has even worse customer service. It is actually against the law not to honor your warranty. A 1 star is actually too high of a rating.

Our 6-month-old dishwasher began no-starting and giving us an error code that was later traced to a leaking drain hose. Rather than replace or repair the hose, they swapped out the entire unit. I found it weird, but who was I to complain? The replacement (which looked suspiciously like a refurb with its unfamiliar gaskets) underperformed from day one, and after about 4 months, the motor died completely....
* * Are you ready for this? * * Samsung informed us that the manufacturer's warranty only provides one unit replacement (which had been used up on a **drain hose issue**) and now would only replace the part... which we have now been awaiting for over 2 months. Because apparently, a motor is an extremely rare and exotic part for a dishwasher. But at least it makes a stylish dish drying rack for when I hand wash everything. So to recap, A) Samsung hauled away our otherwise perfectly running machine to resolve a leaky drain hose, B) WITHOUT letting us know that refusing replacement was an option, and that not refusing meant no more replacement, C) Replaced it with a unit that soon died on us entirely, D) Told us that there were no more replacements allowed, E) Have had us waiting on a resolution for 3 months and counting.
So if you want to donate $800 to charity while discovering things about yourself like your tolerance level for being dorked around, then buy Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher through the Samsung online store on 6/3/2021. The dishwasher was installed in October 2021. In May 2022, it stopped working and displayed an error code (PC). I contacted a Samsung "Pro" on May 31, 2022. He created a ticket number 5/31/2022. He confirmed that this dishwasher and the repairs will be covered under warranty. He said, "We have well-trained, highly professional, and certified technicians who will take complete care of your unit regarding this issue." Since this original conversation there have been many ticket numbers created. Ticket numbers were closed out by Samsung before the issue was resolved.
The technicians were professional. They worked with Samsung Tech support while working on the dishwasher. Each time they came to work on it, they left without the dishwasher being repaired. They had come to fix the machine 5 times before deeming it unrepairable. They gave me a number for exchange. I called Samsung on 9/30/2022 and sat on hold for 20 minutes before having to hang up. I called again on 10/4/2022. I spoke with Densel with the "Exchange and Refund Team". His ID# is **. He gave me a new ticket number once again for an exchange of the unit. He then informed me that the unit is no longer under warranty, so he cannot order a replacement.
So, I have went over 5 months without a dishwasher due to a faulty unit being manufactured and delivered to me. I have taken off work 5 days to be available for the service technicians' visits. Now I'm told the dishwasher is not under warranty and I'll need to purchase another one. Another, even greater concern I have, is that we bought a matching stove, refrigerator, and microwave from Samsung. I will not be purchasing another Samsung appliance EVER after this experience. If this is not covered under warranty like it should be, I would like refunds for all these appliances. I will be forced to remove them all to find a matching set from another manufacturer.

Buyer beware, we purchased new microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, TV, speakers, Laundry machine, etc. branded Samsung at a Lowe's store. Our entire household is Samsung products right now. That was the biggest mistake we ever made. First off make sure to keep your receipt and also please purchase the extended warranty even though it is not worth it. We did not keep the receipt for our purchase, without original receipt you cannot file any claim with either Lowe's or Samsung. We had to call the credit card company we used, which in turn reached out to lowe's on our behalf to get them, now let's the fun begin...
Within less than a year the dishwasher broke down, then the Microwave door broke down as well. We thought it was going to be easy to have Samsung come in and help us with the repairs. Nope, we needed to go to a site to upload our proof of purchase, then upload a credit card where a third party put a hold of $200.00 for each piece of broken equipment for evaluation. When they finally show up the Microwave warranty had just expired they stated and it was going to cost more to have it fixed so we lost that $200.00 for the visit.
The dishwasher was under warranty, we had to wait for them to approve a voucher then send to lowe's to have the device replaced. It's been 90-plus days we are still caught up in a back in forth between Lowe's & Samsung. they are blaming each other while in the meantime nothing is being done to replace the dishwasher. I went to lowe's yesterday they claimed they had no knowledge about my claim, I asked for a supervisor and call samsung on the spot and pass him my phone. Lowe's stated that samsung will issue a voucher to replace the dishwasher, Now price of every items are up, lowe's states that I have to pay the difference.
These shiny Samsung products are just garbage, they broke easily while Samsung and their resellers make it virtually impossible to file a warranty claim and have it processed. Once again buyer beware, if you do not believe me read the other reviews on google about Samsung manufacturer warranty and defective home equipment. I just do not get how Samsung and Lowe's are getting away with these scams.

Here's the deal - Samsung only allocates a set # of appliances per area. This means when they send you something damaged there is a good chance you will not get the same appliance you ordered when replaced. If you happen to order a set of matched appliances and 1 is damaged make sure you refuse everything! Here is why - after 48 hours of accepted delivery they will not take anything back however their window to get back to you with a replacement is 48-72 hours. Seems very unethical to me.
In the event they cannot find the replacement in your area they may offer a comparable replacement but it may not match everything else you purchased and at this point you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Their staff is somewhat rude and their senior leadership does not respond. If you purchase from a big box then throw another party into the mix and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. At the end of the day all roads seem to end with Samsung and their customer service is non-existent.

I had a I called the store where I bought it in Gatineau and they advised me to call Samsung direct. I did so and was told that they would be sending someone out. The repairman came out found evidence of leak in the lower basin yet was unable to determine the source. He left saying he would take a chance and replace the basin.
With the dishwasher being brand new and the uncertainty of whether the fix would even address the problem I again called Samsung. In the end three conversations with executive customer service three chats and their response was to not only hang up on me on one occasion but also to leave me on hold for 15 minutes when I had immediately called back wishing the information of the agent who hung up on me. The executive customer service is terrible. There is no desire to make sure that the customer has a functioning appliance.
The operators are unprofessional, the policy relating to dishwashers or appliances is that the repair person must say the devices unrepairable for them to consider replacement. In my case my dishwasher not only started to get mold but has been out of service for 3 months while I try to get this resolved. Again this is a dishwasher purchased in October of 2021 from Brault et Martineau Gatineau and has only worked for 3 months. There's apparently no way of escalating past the executive customer support and even while speaking to them they refuse to put me through to their supervisors. I am trying to get this dishwasher replaced and the battle continues. To anyone else interested in a dishwasher do not buy a Samsung!!!!

I called Samsung because I was still in company guarantee. The Tech came 3 weeks later. It's been more than 3 months. They send the Tech to my house to change one part each time. I send them letter and call them, They never call you. I was told they can just repair and they can't exchange or refund. I don't need to tell them I need functional dishwasher. They know but they don't care. I am working and I can accept the Tech in my house just on Saturday. I am waiting quiet every Saturday for Tech, till now they changed more than 5 parts. I purchased my Samsung Dishwasher because I have other Samsung products that I am very pleased with. This dishwasher has been a huge disappointment. In the past I have purchased KitchenAid dishwashers and never had any problems with my KitchenAid products. This Samsung Dishwasher simply does not clean my dishes well. I have to examine every single dish I remove from the dishwasher to make sure it is clean. Most of the time they are not clean. I have even ran the rinse cycle before running the wash cycle and that doesn't help either. I have tried different cycles and it doesn't matter, my dishes just do not come out clean.
I am very disappointed in this dishwasher. Even my 30 year old KitchenAid cleaned better than this Samsung model. I would not recommend you purchase a Samsung Dishwasher. I notice they have a section that gives suggestions on how to make the dishwasher work more efficiently, that was never necessary with my KitchenAid Dishwashers.

Pros: very quiet, cleans and dries well, utensil rack is wonderful. Cons: the planets have to align in order for the buttons to work. They even mention this in the manual, after 2 weeks the “guides” for the utensil rack started breaking, in 4 weeks we received an LC error and the drain pump kept running, we would power it off and it would turn itself back on (which was interesting since half of the time we couldn’t power it on due to button issue). We had to shut off the circuit breaker. The error was for a water leak.
My husband started looking at reviews and apparently this is a widespread issue. The design for draining is flawed and any moisture will cause this error. We are exchanging it. Best Buy was gracious and one of the sales people said that we were not the first to return this appliance. I was so disappointed because in the first week I really liked its performance. We are waiting for the replacement so I am currently using my high priced dishwasher as a draining rack as I wash my dishes by hand.

DO NOT waste your time and money. Samsung appliances are worst and their customer service is even worst than their service. The dishwasher came faulty from the company and we used for 1 time only and we reported that. They can't fix it so they decided to replace it. However they have unit to sell on website but not to replace (which doesn't make sense at all). So they offered me a refund what I paid and I don't want that as they are selling the same unit 200 more than what I paid and haven't used that unit even. Also, they said the warranty start from the date of purchase and not when it got delivered.

We have been using this dishwasher for two years and regret the day that we bought it. The only positive thing we can say is that it’s quiet. If you like doing separate loads for plates/small items and a separate load for pots & pans /storage containers then this unit is for you. PROBLEMS: The lower rack at front has a set of three rows of tines that don’t allow for easy placement of small plates. If you try to use the front and middle rows, they are too close to the front of the rack for anything but saucers. (If you use saucers) If you try to use the middle and third row, your small plates interfere with the dinner plates. (The tines for the dinner plates are slanted in the opposite direction from the small plates)
Also all the tines have the wrong slant for North American plates. If you try to add a pot, the tines are too close together for it to fit properly. (There is a feature where you can fold down the plate tines to fit the pots but then there is no place for plates.) The upper rack guide roller retainers protrude and cut your hands if you are not careful. If we could afford to toss this dishwasher out, we would have done so on day two! We like it even less after two years.

They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. I am reporting Samsung for a deceptive warranty and service. I purchased a new dishwasher on Aug. 20th. It was installed on Sept. 14th. On Sept. 22nd I noticed it was leaking and not washing. I called Home Depot and they sent a technician out to my house. They found that the back case of the dishwasher was broken and it was leaking water into my cabinets and into my living room.
I called Samsung and was told that since I didn't report the damage within 48 hours they would not be replacing it. I called Home Depot and Kimani at corporate said they had a lot of issues with Samsung not standing by their warranties. She was able to connect me to the warranty department. The warranty for the unit is 90 days in writing in their paperwork.
The warranty department wrote up a ticket and said they needed to send their own technician out to see the unit. They came out 10/1 - the technician barely spoke English. I showed him the damage. Samsung called me to say that the damage is not their fault and they are not replacing the unit. I have a claim with my homeowner's insurance to fix the water damage which is around $4,000 and I have a broken dishwasher. They are not willing to stand by the warranty and replace the unit.
I am out several thousand dollars and no dishwasher. This is very deceptive. I am hearing more and more cases about this type of service from Samsung. I am in the process of contacting Home Depot. I wanted to report this, because it fraudulent business practice. I hate to see more people affected by this type of business practice. I can't believe this is legal.

5. Technicians from TWO different service centers stopped by and claimed the fix can’t be done. The reason from the first technician was that the kitchen floor needs to be re-modeled in order to pull the dishwasher out. He also stated that it would take him 2 hours to fix the leaking problem and he had no sufficient time to do the work (which makes no sense?). When I mentioned that there was no issue with the kitchen floor during the instillation process and during the first time Samsung came over to fix the leaking issue on 10/4/2020, the technician had no response and left.
6. Another technician from a different service center stopped by about one week later and claimed that the damage is not under Samsung’s manufacturer warranty. In addition, he couldn’t explain what the root cause of leaking was. The cost estimate to fix the leaking problem by the second technician was also outrageous.
As a customer, we purchased a Samsung dishwasher, used it for about 6 – 7 months, then started having leaking problems. We tried to get this fixed, but the leaking problem occurred again after about 14 months. Samsung then told the customer to contact the technician directly to get problem fixed, all at the customer’s own cost. Samsung Model DW80K7050UG/AA-0000 failed twice in two years:
- Top sprayer wand bearing failure
The touch screen failed to respond unless the power was reset. This got progressively worse until we had to replace the dishwasher with a Maytag. The display board was $150, but the problem might’ve been in the main control board which contain the power supply. Since it was out of warranty the repair may have cost $300.
After a year of ownership, the top sprayer wand bearing failed because it was ground down by debris picked up by the dishwasher. I consider this a design defect. Fortunately this was under warranty repair but the dishwasher was out of service for about two weeks. Being an engineer, I deem this to be a design failure where on filtered water was put into a bearing which ground the plastic down until the bearing failed. Forward to November 2020, and for the third time in as many years, the error code LC came up.
The dishwasher is no longer under warranty by 3 weeks. A call to the appliance store we bought it from, said they would send an estimator out for $175.00 just for an estimate which didn’t cover repair, labor or parts! A call to Samsung’s Customer Service on Nov. 23rd, had the gentleman tell me because this has been an ongoing problem for the last 3 years, we qualify for a new dishwasher. At the 7mo mark (July 1st), it stopped washing the dishes in the bottom rack properly. I contacted Samsung July 3rd. It’s July 24th and the dishwasher is still not repaired. Technician came out and said that he had to replace two parts, the bottom spray rail and the control panel. He had to order them. That was visit #3. Visit #4 was when he came to replace the parts. After a couple of hours of work the dishwasher was still not repaired. He said that there was another part broken, the motor that moves the rail. He’s suppose to come back Wednesday, July 29th. In the past 8mo, according to my count, 4 different parts have broken on Samsung’s “top of the line” dishwasher. I hope my review keeps someone from making the same mistake I made. moral of the story: listen to advice...do not buy samsung appliances. They're inferior quality. They look nice on the outside, but they're garbage on the inside.

BUYER BEWARE! Here's what I'm dealing with right now: We purchased an entire kitchen set from Samsung.com in December as a black Friday special. In March, the dishwasher stopped working. We contacted Samsung via their website and set up a ticket. The day of the appt, the technician didn't show, we contacted them and were told that Samsung cancelled their contract that day due to Covid. No one bothered to call us to let us know. They said we would have to wait until the lockdown had passed. We did. For 3 months.
As the state has now reopened, we contacted them to see when we could get the repair. They advised us they no longer had a repair service in the area. We then asked for a replacement, they never actually responded to that despite our insistence of a repair or replace, instead they offered to refund us the amount we paid for the dishwasher. Because of the discount we received for purchasing this is as a set, the amount they are willing to refund is only half the cost of a replacement dishwasher. This would force us to have to pay out an additional $400 after going 3 months without a working product, this is unacceptable.
For the first 3 months I was cordial and patient, but this past week has brought out a whole different side. I am beyond frustrated with their customer service, and I do not think it is right that I would have to pay them any more money to get what should have been included in my initial kitchen package. We got their Tuscan Stainless Steel set and it is an exclusive color only to Samsung, we would have no choice but to give them more money or risk losing home resell value for having a mismatched set.

I would never recommend Samsung products and the customer service is completely lame. I have a Samsung washing machine that had a recall because the drum wobbled so much. It wobbled so much that it loosened a hose and poured water all over my house…. My laundry is on my second level and I have a cat walk that water poured down into my living room and hallway on my first level and ran through my ceiling on my first level and through my walls down to my basement…leaving water spots on my first level ceiling and damaging several ceiling tiles in my finished basement. I didn’t notice all of the damage and the damaged tiles in the basement until months later when I had another issue with the washing machine and Samsung sent a third-party service company out here to repair it.
They repaired the machine and left. Unfortunately, the service company called, Unique Repair (who I would never recommend, as they do not stand behind their work) managed to forget to connect the hose, which led to another incident of water pouring from my second level down my first level and through my walls to the basement. Fortunately, I was able to get the service techs back quickly to stop the machine and drain it, although the damage had already been done. We went into the basement; the service tech also taking his own photos. This second time around the water even damaged more basement ceiling tiles and left stains on my first level ceiling.
Both companies, the service company and Samsung are trying to put the blame on each other. How lame of Samsung, since it is Samsung’s faulty washing machine, under warranty and Samsung sent the third party out here to represent them. The first time it happened it was solely on Samsung. The second time on the repair company. Either way, somebody should be responsible for the damage caused in my house. I have suggested to both companies that they split it, but they do not respond and or communicate with each other.
Samsung does not stand behind their products. I am an innocent consumer that has been extremely inconvenienced twice by this Samsung washing machine and damage caused to my home, and Samsung support has been completely lame. Nonresponsive and not willing to provide any resolution. I would never recommend purchasing from Samsung. The last I spoke to Samsung customer support she was closing my case, I had no previous knowledge that my case was being closed, because it had been two weeks and she wanted me to provide quotes for the repair. During the world crisis going on it was difficult to get someone out here to quote me on the repair. Actually, It was against the law at the time, as nonessential workers would be fined if working during that time.
I finally provided her with one quote and waiting to get another, so she would reopen the case, and she has not responded to me. I’ve reached out multiple times with no response. Seriously, what kind of company operates like this? I am a business owner myself and I would never treat my clients/customers this way. I stand behind my work. I’ve had to spend numerous hours dealing with both companies and getting nowhere. When I did nothing to cause this situation. I’m sure they are hoping to wear me down.

It washes for 2.58 hours according to the button on top. (If you can get it to run). It stops and starts. We have called Samsung did everything they suggested by unplugging it. The only reason I did not return was because hubby installed it and I didn't want to go through the trouble the take out and return to Home Depot. It is quiet but I would rather it be noisy and actually clean my dishes. Had I known I would be hand washing after running a cycle I wouldn't even have bought a new one. I've done everything that has been suggested, I have to run it on storm wash just to get them halfway clean. I love ALL my other Samsung products except the dishwasher. Look elsewhere for yours!

However their supposed "convection" stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldn't believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. Our Samsung dishwasher is three years old. The internal blower/fan has always been noisy, but we accepted it. However, both the upper and lower baskets have rusted through to the point that supports and wheel mounts have completely broken off. I think it's crazy that two parts that should last much longer are almost the same price as purchasing an entire new unit. Since I now need to buy a new dishwasher, I am definitely not buying a Samsung. As I replace all my appliances, I will be researching other brands, even if they cost more. I was asked to participate in a customer survey, however the survey was to rate their employee in the call center. She was helpful and pleasant. In September 2017, we purchased the top of the line Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot thinking it would be the last dishwasher we retirees would buy. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the model because my husband threw the manual and paperwork away in disgust three weeks ago when, after two years and four months we sent the dishwasher to the dump. It needed a new pump and the repair would be so expensive we might as well buy a new one. Our model had the storm surge feature, if that helps identify it. Also, the racks were starting to rust. The clean was not as good as the Whirlpool we replaced it with for half the price. We also bought a refrigerator at the same time. We’re attempting to join a class action suit because the ice maker leaks and the ice compartment freezes into a solid block and Samsung refuses to acknowledge the problem. I’ve learned that Samsung, LG, and even some GE appliances use the same inferior parts.
I bought Whirlpool because that’s what the repairman owns. But I bought a Lowe’s 5 year warranty on my $326 dishwasher (sale price) so that I’m covered. I distrust the company warranties and their planned obsolescence. Start talking to your friends and associates, I’ve found three others disgruntled with their Samsung appliances. Personally, I would pay a small fortune for an appliance with parts and manufacture in the USA. I’m old enough to know major appliances that lasted 30 years and more. Remember when Made in the USA was a guarantee of quality? Not assembled in the USA with parts made in Mexico or China. Thank you for allowing me to vent, and please don’t buy Samsung.

We bought our entire appliance set through Trail appliances. Nothing wrong with the excellent service we received at time of sale. Installed the units in our new kitchen. At 11 months the dishwasher dumped large amounts of water on the floor during wash cycle. Finally got a technician to come and look at it. Samsung's support for him over the phone was pathetic. Between him and I we finally figured out the problem lies in a poorly designed tub vapor venting system. I have to regularly remove this silly valve and clean it. Just poor design.
Now that the unit is 4 years old the drying fan motor vibrates. I removed it from the machine and tested it on the bench. It is not noisy outside of the machine but whines loudly when reinstalled. Fortunately I am a mechanic by trade and disassembling this machine is not a challenge for me. Purchased a home and did a remodel and purchased a Samsung appliance package from Home Depot. The dishwasher has been a NIGHTMARE!!! I am the only one in the home so I don’t run it every day but once I did begin to use it and not even 2 months later had to have the pump replaced. One month later YET another repair! Spoke to a representative who said they would refund my money and she would send me an email with how to get this. Received the email and provided them with everything they wanted. Waited a month and No refund check. Called NUMEROUS time to take 10 minutes of explaining to have them transfer me to claims where THEY DO NOT ANSWER AND YOU'RE ON HOLD FOREVER!!!
I called numerous days in a row and have sent emails every day with no response!!! HORRIBLE!!! So I called and explained to Home Depot and they said there is nothing they can do! It is absolutely ridiculous!!! Pay over 400$ for something and it is not overused and you can’t even use it!!! For Home Depot to support this manufacturer is very sad!!! Bad customer service and terrible appliances. I have since heard this complaint from other people that unfortunately purchased a Samsung appliance. Never again.

I bought dishwasher as well as refrigerator and electric range in 2013. In 2014 the dishwasher started to have problems (the soap compartment wouldn’t open), so the technician came and replaced the whole dishwasher under the warranty. In 2015 the dishwasher started to malfunction again, the same problem. Another technician came in and replaced part under the warranty again. In 2019 the same problem occurred again. This time the first technician couldn’t replicate the problem. The second technician came in, and he said that it’s most likely intermittent problem, and it’s possible that 3 different parts should be replaced, and since the warranty run out, he doesn’t recommend spend the money on the unknown. I really appreciate this concept.
When I called Samsung again, they said that the main circuit board under the warranty since it was replaced in 2015. But when I tried to call the company who is fixing the dishwasher, they explained to me that Samsung doesn’t extend the warranty on the replaced parts and everything goes to the original date of purchasing or replacement of the machine. I had a dishwasher for over 20 years in Massachusetts (not Samsung), never had a problem. Never will buy Samsung products again and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. On top of the bad product, bad manufacturing warranty too.

Apparently either Consumer Affairs OR Samsung does NOT want reviews of clothes washers as that is no longer a product which can be reviewed. Ours is 3 years old, sat in our basement for nearly a year from the time it was new until we finished our house. Only two people in the house, used once every two weeks. Lots of issues with not filling, not pumping water, not spinning. Samsung says "Too bad. You should have paid even more than the $520 so we would fix that piece of crap....sucker!"

The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locker room, even when it was empty. It was installed by Home Depot. I re-routed the drain hose higher to keep water from the disposal from back-flowing into the dishwasher, which I assume has no back flow prevention valve, given the amount of water left in the sump after running. No change. I've owned and installed many, many dishwashers and never had an odor problem, even when they were full of dirty dishes.
We bought a second home home with brand new Samsung appliances. A Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. We have issues with every one of them! Poor design and poor engineering is consistent throughout the entire line. I wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy! The seller paid $500 for a transferable extended warranty. It took him 3 months of constantly calling Samsung and hours of arguing to finally get the warranty transferred! So, if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance, well, good luck.
In addition to the constant horrible smell, the dish racks are very poorly laid out and waste a lot of space. Good luck trying to fit 12 place settings into this. It does a poor job of removing coffee stains from cups. The upper rack has only 2 height settings. On the higher one even small saucers hit the very useless top "cutlery rack". On the lower setting you run the risk of the washer arm hitting any moderately tall dishes or pans, which causes food to stick to the dishes.
I am speculating that the smell is caused by incomplete draining. There is filter that needs constant cleaning, but even keeping it clean doesn't prevent the smell. There is a sump under the filter where water pools, but that should be clean water? But many other dishwashers leave some water in the bottom and do not have this horrible smell. And, at this price point, the dishwasher should have a food grinder instead of a filter that needs constant cleaning! Again, poor design and engineering! The dishwasher is very quiet, and if you set it up within the confines of the poor design and engineering, it will usually get things fairly clean. But you can find many, many other dishwashers for much less money that will do a much better job every time, and smell fine even with a load of dirty dishes. Don't fall in love with the pretty face! Buy something that works!!!!

A class-action lawsuit could be brewing here. I purchased a home in October 2018 with a suite of 4-year-old Samsung appliances. The only good thing about the dishwasher is that it's quiet. With that being said dishes often come out after being washed with food particles still on them and do not dry well. My issues started a month ago when the dishwasher wouldn't complete a full cycle - it was stuck mid-cycle. I chatted with a Samsung rep who said to flip the switch off and back on on the circuit breaker. This reset the dishwasher and it did complete the cycle. Two weeks later, the dishwasher lights were flashing, it was making a suction noise, flashing a LE code and wouldn't power off. I had to shut off the circuit breaker.
I chatted again with a Samsung tech, who promised a tech would be out the following Monday. That was the 1st lie. The technician couldn't come until Wednesday and I had to pay $100 for a trip fee (the rep never mentioned this) because it's out of warranty. Tech comes out and says I need a new door because the door won't properly lock - which will be $230. I have a hard time believing the "door is suddenly the issue" considering the dishwasher is 4 years old.
After reading the other nightmare reviews on this site, I'm certainly not going to funnel $330 into the repair of a garbage appliance - which should work properly. Even after taking my issues to Twitter, Samsung has still yet to respond. Garbage appliances + terrible customer service = me spending money to buy a new Bosch dishwasher. Save your money and avoid Samsung appliances like the plaque! I've also had to reset the circuit breaker on the 4-year-old refrigerator a couple of times. Never had any issues with the 9-year-old suite of Kenmore appliances in my last home.

Said the motor was defective and was going to order a new part. No idea when it would be in. So unworkable brand new dishwasher - needs a new motor, and I am not happy with getting a repair.

I ordered the Install and old appliance haul away when I bought my dishwasher. I got neither of these things. The all in one package is why I chose Samsung to begin with. The contractors who arrived with my appliance had no certifications to install anything nor did they bring any tools (I had to give them my tools). The contractors pulled my old dishwasher halfway out and said they couldn't go any further for fear of damaging the wall (the washer wasn't connected to the wall and any qualified installation tech or plumber would have known that). So they left me stuck with a dishwasher halfway out of place. I had to get a plumber to come out and finish the job which costed me money! I was also transferred 5 times because agents kept transferring me to the wrong department and had to call twice because while on hold I was transferred to the review line which took me off the call.
After finally being transferred to the home appliance line the agent kept telling me he understood my frustration and he would be upset too if that happened to him. After I asked at the bare minimum compensate me for the the plumber having to come out he told me there was NOTHING he could do because it was XPO's fault not Samsung. Well I paid Samsung for a Samsung product so yes it is Samsung's fault! So I'm out the money for a plumber!
I have already left a complaint with the BBB and will not be ordering anything from such a dishonest company again. I was lied to when the Samsung website said installation and haul away. The best offer I got from the agent was they could send someone out the week after which is completely unacceptable because again my dishwasher was hanging halfway out! My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped working -- no lights, nothing. I called Samsung and was told if it was the control board it would be a warranty repair, but if it was the front panel it would not be. The authorized service repair company came and --without running any diagnostics -- replaced the front panel, and charged me about $300. The unit worked for a week, and then the same problem reappeared. They came back to do the work. Samsung said would be a warranty repair -- replace the control board -- but then after the work was completed, charged me $140 for the board anyway!
After many contacts with Samsung, which agreed repeatedly that the control board was a warranty repair, I was never able to get the money refunded and Samsung failed to follow through with numerous promised phone calls. I would never buy another Samsung product after this experience (which is particularly a shame since I've been a loyal Samsung customer for years -- phones, TV's, memory cards, etc.).

We recently purchased Samsung Dishwasher Model #DW80K5050 that seemed visually fine on delivery. When we attempted to install it a week later, there was internal damage not visible from the outside. Samsung sent a rep to confirm the DW had likely been dropped to cause multiple internal issues. When we shared this with Build.com, they said they had no responsibility since damage was not reported in their 24-48 hr window EVEN THOUGH DAMAGE WAS INTERNAL and COULD NOT BE DETECTED FROM THE OUTSIDE.
And when we reached out to Samsung they said their warranty doesn't cover new appliances that had never operated (i.e. delivered broken). So we are stuck with a yet to be installed dishwasher for which we just ordered replacement parts at our expense. I would avoid buying from Build.com that was unwilling to correct this situation despite nearly $20,000 of appliance purchases from them the past year alone. And I would also avoid purchasing Samsung appliances based on their customer service, or lack thereof.

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to "upgrade" our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance.
After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

Now we have a new one and the same thing is happening; but this one is only 6 months old. I called Customer Service and they sent a technician out who told us Samsung will not replace the plastic cover. I read the Warranty and it states that I have a one year warranty. On what I don't know anymore. At Home Depot where we bought this we were told the whole dishwasher is covered for one year. It's only a matter of time before this one does what the other one did and the these control buttons fall out. How can Samsung & Home Depot sell such cheap stuff and not back it up at the very least for 1 Year?
I then EMailed Tim Baxter the CEO of Samsung and some girl called me and stated that the cheap plastic is considered Cosmetic! And NOTHING Cosmetic is covered under the Warranty! I asked her to send me a list of everything they consider Cosmetic on this dishwasher and she said she couldn't do that! I wonder why??? I'm done with Samsung & Home Depot! I am a contractor who has installed over 100 dishwashers. This is the worst installation design I have ever seen. The hot water & drain connections are at the left rear corner of the D/W. The hot water supply line requires a 90 degree fitting (which is NOT supplied). The water supply connection is 3" above the floor & 4" from the left side. The water connection fitting on the D/W is PLASTIC. You have to buy a 90 degree fitting (brass), then remove the BRASS connector nut & replace it with the PLASTIC nut provided with D/W.
When you connect the water supply line to the 90 degree fitting, it has to bend at a 90 degree angle to fit in the cabinet opening. The Drain hose is also connected at the rear left hand corner. You are warned to "not overtighten the 90 degree fitting (PLASTIC) or it can cause a leak. THEN, it tells you to slide the D/W into the cabinet opening & be careful not to kink the water & drain hoses.
It is such an idiotic design that the instructions actually say, "Get a SECOND or THIRD person to help you if this is necessary." Once installed you have no way of seeing if the water or drain hoses are leaking, until it is too late. Three days later water was dripping from my basement ceiling, due to water connection leaking and ruining my bamboo kitchen floor. For 46 years I have installed D/W's with the connections right in front behind the base panel. An easy connection for one man/woman and you can readily observe if you have any leaks. Samsung should stick to TVs.

Next, the element in the oven failed (3 times to date) as well as the control board which set us back $250. The microwave has always had a mind of its own, and will often beep and turn lights on and off during the middle of the night. Since it still seems to work, we are leaving it alone. Finally, the ice-maker in the refrigerator door freezes up and causes a mess, and needs to be defrosted once a month.
Apparently, this is a very common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Another reason to stay away from this product. Amazingly enough, we contacted Samsung no less than 10 times regarding these issues and the response has always been "your appliances are out of warranty", too bad so sad. If you are planning on purchasing Samsung appliances, I would highly recommended you do your research first and go with another brand! I for one will NEVER buy their products again.

If you want to buy a dishwasher that will last 3-4 years then buy a Samsung. When ours stopped working it was hard to find a technician to look at it. Finally we did find someone and after 3 weeks of trying to get the right parts he told us to just go and buy a new dishwasher, he couldn't take the crap from Samsung anymore. Think before you buy!

I would strongly discourage others from purchasing a Samsung dishwasher, at least the DWF80F600 Series. Ours lasted almost exactly 3 years before needing to replace it because the estimated repair costs are more than 75% of what a new Samsung dishwasher would cost. From what I've read on-line the over level water error is extremely common and breaks again once fixed. It is unacceptable for an appliance to not even last to the 5 year mark.

This dishwasher has been extremely disappointing. We bought all "Better" Samsung appliances when we bought our home and the "Waterwall" stopped cycling a few months after we bought it. It took about a month to get someone there to fix it (under warranty). 18 months later it's not under warranty and it has failed again. I think we paid around $1,100.00 new so the cost of ownership has been over $350.00 a year. We read horror stories but thought that it was more likely that people upset with their purchase were more likely to leave reviews and that they were probably skewed. They weren't. I'll start reading reviews to make our replacement purchase. Lesson learned.

Poor Samsung customer service! My dishwasher was broken after using it for second time. Fine! A technician came and reported it as an unrepairable issue in Jul. Then, it took 2 MONTHS to get replace approval! However, I got a call from Samsung after confirming with me to replace a new unit in Sep, said there is no available inventory near my area (Baltimore, MD), "We (Samsung) are gonna refund you the dishwasher." So far (Oct), the case is still pending, the broken dishwasher is still in my kitchen! Never and ever buy Samsung products!!! Terrible customer service!!! Poor internal communication!!! I'm running out of my patience!!!

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher because I thought I saw reviews that it was a good choice. Can't trust all those reviews as this dishwasher lasted less than 2 years. The cost to repair was more than what I paid for the dishwasher in the first place. I have never owned a dishwasher with such poor lasting ability. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. SHAME on Samsung for such a bad product. I should get at least 5-10 years out of it. They don't even have enough confidence in their product to offer more than the standard 1 year warranty. I am just so disgusted right now. I don't know what to do.

Install required a repairman which it should not. Poor design and performance. 1 year and 3 months after purchasing the pump failed. It is designed to be very sensitive to leaks, but it leaks very easily. I would never purchase a Samsung dishwasher again. Samsung should stick to phones.

Samsung is 100% the worse product we have purchased in years. We have had a broken dishwasher in our kitchen for over 2 months. The unit broke shortly after purchase and we had to go through warranty. They sent Dish Network repairmen out. 4 times. Each time took a minimum of 5-7 hours. They showed up late, or not at all after scheduling a long window of when they might appear. They never fixed the unit and disappeared after it was establish they would have to replace the unit. We call Samsung and are told someone will call us back. We are also being told they are replacing it with the same unit which seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Don’t do it!

I bought the model DW80k7050us May 14th 2018. Worked beautifully and very quiet. On Oct 12th it would not turn on. There is no reset switch and troubleshooting does not address mo power. It is under Samsung's warranty even though I bought 5 year protection plan. I live in new Hampshire and Samsung's repair contractor is 2 hrs away in Gray Maine. Samsung will not allow a local contractor.

I just got a brand new Samsung DW80K7050US dishwasher which retails for $950. To install it, the electricity must be connected (easy) and the output line has to be connected (easy) and the supply line has to be connected (easy). But.. when I turn the water on, I can hear a high pressure leak but see no water coming from anywhere. After a few minutes, a puddle of water comes from under the machine. There isn't a drop of water IN the machine. That means that when the machine was put together, there is a leaky seal or missing washer someplace... And I have to uninstall the machine, turn it upside down and play surgeon for a few hours trying to fix this damned leak. That is ridiculous.
Even worse, I have done searches on this, and that problem is not uncommon. Typically it is fixed by the install, but in this case, I installed it. Why should I pay someone $150 to connect 3 wires and two hoses? It's no more complicated than attaching a garden hose. Obviously they don't test their products for leaks before shipping them out.

I am very disappointed with my new Samsung DW80M9 series dishwasher. It was billed as being a better cleaning product because the spray arm goes back and forth rather than in a circular motion like traditional dishwashers. I actually rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I have to scrub them to get every speck off before using this very expensive dishwasher. The one factor in its favor is that it is very quiet. I hope Samsung’s engineers will work on this very disappointing dishwasher.

I have had this dishwasher for 3 years & it’s been repaired 12 times. It wasn’t cheap but honestly I wish I kept my older model Kenmore. Since day one this has been nothing but a headache, now it doesn’t turn on & I’ve been waiting for Sears repair to get the correct part. Twice the part that arrived was wrong. Now I’m being told not till the end of October are they expecting the part. Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I was even told by the repairman they should just stick with TV’s.

Never pulled Dishwasher out from Cabinet. 2nd Company came out found a bad hose on Dishwasher that was a Samsung Part. Dishwasher is only 6 months old & hose has a hole in it. Took a week to get parts and had to raise the roof for Service or it would have been another week for repair. Been on the phone with Samsung so much and took off work until I could have bought another Dishwasher!!!!

I purchased 4 Samsung kitchen appliances August 1, 2014 when I moved into my retirement home. Since that time - within the first 18 months, my microwave had 4 service calls. Gratefully, I maintained my Home Warranty protection that was provided for the home and have renewed that warranty annually. The home warranty company ORHP - sent appliance technicians out and a Samsung certified technician who could not repair the microwave. Eventually, after 3 weeks they replaced the microwave with a Samsung upgraded unit. It is still working 2 years later.
Now the refrigerator icemaker freezes up and I have to use a hair dryer monthly to "defrost" the ice build up in the icemaker box. The refrigerator is a French door model that has a "flipper" on the left door which locks in place that door when closing. It also broke. After reviewing some online videos, I ordered a small tension spring for $8 + shipping, popped the flipper bar apart, replaced the tension spring, and fixed the issue.
Now, in September 2018, my dishwasher has broke not allowing the door to close and lock. The repair part is available and easily replaced so I had the home warranty company send out a tech who replaced the part on 9/12/18. On 9/23/18 after loading dishwasher after a BBQ with friends, the same problem re-appeared. To top that off, I recorded the dishwasher while in the rinsing and drying cycle so the tech can hear hit. I re-played the recording for my wife and daughter who thought I went to an airport and recorded a jet taking off or landing...the noise decibel level is high...
My Samsung 5 burner stove - I find that the grates are not really safe and worry when the grandkids are at the home. When you put a frying pan or pot on the grates - they wobble until you position them just right. They are not made with enough cross members to support smaller pots or frying pans. On more than one occasion, I put an 8" frying pan on the grate to fry eggs and the pan just flops downward until the handle touches the stove or countertop. You need to counterbalance the pan with the eggs and position carefully. I am negotiating selling my 4 appliances to a relative to place into one of her rental homes and buying a completely different brand.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and that's it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DW's are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, I'm out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

Samsung finally replaced it after they said they couldn't get the parts to fix it. 6 months after the new one was installed it broke and Samsung said that the warranty was over on the dishwasher but they would send a repair shop over to look at it at my cost. I would highly recommend that you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.

Last year at the Black Friday sale I purchase the French door Samsung fridge and a Samsung dishwasher. Terrible experience. Fridge and dishwasher came defective. I paid warranty on both. After so much trouble they finally fixed my fridge, which would make this terrible noise, like an old car. Now, with the dishwasher for which I paid 700 dollars, came with a defective rail on one of the trays, and also the door is defective. Neither Lowe's or Samsung have been able to help me. They said is nothing they can do. Even with the warranty. I haven't been able to use my dishwasher and I still making payments on it. Never in my life I will buy or recommend Samsung products again. And not at Lowe's either. They are the worst.

I thought I was doing great by buying supposedly Better Appliances. WOW was I stupid. I bought a Samsung Stove which was off by 60%, was told by Samsung TOO BAD. Bought Microwave, Dishwasher which completely sucks, doesn't clean dishes, much less pots and pans, Washer and Dryer, basic quality at BEST, and a Fridge. Overall Samsung Quality is the worst, their Service and Warranty which is 1 year are the worst. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG UNDER FOR ANY REASON. Their stock is going to drop, all the service people will tell you not to buy anything from Samsung. Must be a reason!!! I was in Home Depot and talked a person out of buying Samsung so I cost them 2 appliances. If we all complain to our friends about Samsung, they will self destruct.

We have also been given the run around from Samsung about what seems to be a faulty product - their waterfall dishwasher. What a horrible company, I cannot believe they can stay in business. Our dishwasher is just two years old and quit working. After talking to several customer service agents on the phone, through email, and online, it is still not fixed. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point.
There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). If you are looking for new appliances, please do not purchase this brand. We had issues with our refrigerator also. They are poorly made, and Samsung has to have the worst customer service of any company on earth.
