We purchased this Samsung Smart Range last March. From the start the control panel was hyper sensitive and hard to work with. A week ago, I was going to cook something and found the oven door locked. We tried to troubleshoot it, with no success. The store we purchased it from won't serve it. I called Samsung several times and received no help.

I bought a Samsung gas stove, which has been the worst appliance I have ever owned. It is still under warranty, and they claim there is nothing wrong with my oven. However, it takes twice as long to cook. According to them and their diagnostic over the phone and pictures, all is well. This company does not want to remedy or warrant their products.

I bought a Samsung Gas Range from Home Depot in Griffin, Ga in June of this year (2024). When the range arrive, there were dents on the top of the stove. Two days later parts fell off the oven door. I called Samsung and they sent a repairman out with another door and top. He brought the right door and replaced it. He brought the wrong top. He left stating he would return with the right top, that was almost two months ago. I keep calling Samsung not only for the stovetop, but pieces of the grates covering the burners started breaking off when cleaned. They sent a part, but it was the wrong part. I am at my wit's end. I don't know what to do. I do know that I will not recommend to my friends or family anything made by Samsung, especially a range. Anybody reading this, please take my advice and not buy a range made by Samsung. You will be sorry. This is my opinion.

Dangerous and not worth the money. HIGHLY dissemination there hasn't been a recall on samsung ranges and refrigerators. WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG items AGAIN.

Have had our NX58F5500S gas range for 4 years and needed to replace the oven igniter 5 times. The last time it ate up the igniter in 2 months. We are shopping for another range even though everything else on it works fine. It's ridiculous that we have to keep paying $30 to regularly replace the same part.

Samsung stove model NX60A6311SS purchased in 2021 from Home Depot. The problems I have: There are serious hot spots in the oven. I have to lay aluminum foil along each side of the oven so I can bake without burning things on the sides. My knobs are all broken and the warranty only covered them for the 1st year, to replace them will be about $77 per knob. The 4 burners don't adjust well and the smallest burner barely works. The griddle in the center of the range top only heats up in the middle leaving the 2 ends worthless so instead of evenly cooking say 4 pieces of French toast.. Only 2 cook well. The heating element is poorly designed for this feature. One feature that works well and I like is the broiler at the top of the oven, I use it frequently.

Very disappointed with Samsung - My wife and I purchased on 2/20/2020 model # NX58M6630SS/AA directly from Samsung - Since we had this Gas Range we have been having nightmares!!! First the the display covering had to be changed under guarantee three times because the heat made it bubble up - The metal grates cracked and to changed - no longer under warranty the display has bubbled up again - The scary part is that if the back burners are on (cooking something) the electronics comes on automatically displaying all sorts of error codes - one time the over locked and went into self cleaning without having chosen this function - had to pull the plug to stop because it would not respond to my pushing the stop button and or clear button!! Every time we go on a trip we pull the plug not knowing if the oven comes on by itself. We have decided to do away with this piece of crap and purchase a new gas range - whatever you do do not buy SAMSUNG!!!

Instead of fixing the problem internally they want us to put covers and locks over the knobs that look like baby proofing- instead of fixing the problem. I will never buy a samsung product again.

Bought a Samsung electric stove in 2017. Had the heat control on two burners replaced in the first two years, it was not regulating the heat and was hitting high temperatures and very dangerous! A year later one of the oven fans had to be replaced due to wear. And currently the main control board became defective and won’t heat up the oven. None of the appliance repair companies can get this replacement control board. I did some research myself online and this board has been discontinued, no replacements available. I find it difficult to understand how the heart of the appliance become obsolete in a 7 year span. In conclusion I would not support this brand due to poor quality of the appliance as it was used on a scale of low to medium range.

We've had a gas stove model NX58H5600SS for less than 5 years and hardly use it as we mainly live in a different home to help an elderly family member. The left back burner knob got stuck with the burner going and wouldn't turn off! The only option to get it off was to turn off the gas to our home which means we can't use any of the working burners or the oven. The repair cost is over $500 which is close to the cost of a new stove. Everything works except the one burner but yet the entire stove has to be fixed or replaced. And Samsung won't stand by this product even though it's a manufacturer's defect as the warranty expired already. DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY. Their chat support also are extremely unhelpful.

I recently purchased the Samsung NE63T8111SG oven, and while the oven itself functions adequately, the design of the stovetop eye knobs is a significant flaw that overshadows its performance. The knobs are designed with plastic inserts that turn against metal, a poor choice that leads to cracking and subsequent slippage. When the plastic cracks, the knobs become almost unusable. To make matters worse, Samsung charges an exorbitant price for replacement knobs—nearly a fifth of the oven’s cost for just one knob! It's hard to believe that a single knob costs $86 to manufacture, especially since the oven comes with four of them. The cost of replacing all the knobs could nearly buy a new oven.

Since my purchase in 2022, Samsung has redesigned the knobs to use metal on metal, which is a more durable solution. However, the frustration remains for those of us stuck with the flawed plastic design. Samsung’s customer service has been unhelpful in resolving this issue, often transferring me between departments without providing a satisfactory solution.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this oven or any similar models that have the plastic knob design. The quality and customer service are not up to the standard I expected from Samsung. If you are considering this oven, make sure it has the upgraded metal knobs, or better yet, look for another brand. My loyalty to Samsung has only cost me more in the long run.

We paid $1,129.00 for a stove pictured. The glass was my wife’s first self cleaning experience…Had to be replaced. Ruined two prime ribs because the stove indicated 400 degrees, but it takes a 3.00 dollar oven gauge that reads 250 degrees, not 400, so you have to wait 20 minutes for actual temp to cook as recipe calls for 400 degrees! We have had thermostat replaced twice to no avail. And still it reads incorrect. The pictures keep our home and appliances immaculate…We have been putting up with this since December 2021…Bought at Home Depot here in Crystal River on sale mind you..

I just tried to cook two crab cakes at 350 degrees, and checked the 3.00 dollar oven thermometer and it read 350… for 25 minutes. It should be cooked at 165 degrees with meat thermometer, it read 75 degrees, so I put the crab cakes in a little Ninja oven so we could have them for dinner…I am ready to put this stove out in the driveway with a sign on it. “Free”…. All this time and we have just had it with Samsung. So if you all want a dependable stove for your holiday cooking. Beware of Samsung. Sincerely. Mr and Mrs. C, **

We renovated our home top to bottom and purchased a brand new Samsung Induction stove. After only 3 months of use the induction top quit working. That was a month ago. Samsung service is not geared to provide ready service in Canada. We have been unable to cook on our stove for over a month now. A service team were sent but they brought the wrong parts. So now we must wait for another indefinite period of time. My advice - until Samsung can both sort out their quality problems, and build a more efficient parts supply and service network - don’t buy a Samsung. Otherwise you will find yourself like we did - having to pay for a new mobile cooking top, limit the guests you can serve and wait for long hours on calls and waiting for service teams to come, repair, and come back and repair again. We still have no idea when we will be able to use our brand new stove again.

Customer service is terrible. The knobs broke off the stove and the inside of the oven glass was stained after first few weeks. The exterior scratched within the first few weeks. Dishwasher stopped working after only 18 Months. Unfixable-manufacturer defect. Samsung refused to replace it. Sent me $350. I paid $900 for this model and the amount is not sufficient buy any new dishwasher.

Microwave works well but poor design. The handle broke off and the plastic pieces in the door are all broken. The bottom lip acts as a grease trap and there is no way to clean it. The fridge plastic pieces broke quickly and there's no way to fix them. The particles of food collect in the bins and there's no way to clean them out. The particles are literally trapped in between the pieces of the bin that cannot be taken apart. Now it has been two years and my oven stopped working. Only heats up to 185. Today smells like gas and now I'm not even going to use it. No gas on - no reason for it to smell like gas when I try to heat up the oven. I will never again buy Samsung appliances. It's really hard to know where to start but suffice it to say do not buy a Samsung range! The inconsistency of cooking stove top and oven is so bad that I would feel sorry for someone who was a newer cook trying to cook on this range. My stove went crazy about 6 months in. By crazy I mean that the panel was blinking and things were going on and off. The oven shut off in the middle of preparing a meal for many guests. Before this the panel would blink and things would blink on and off. The warmer burner would cut on and off on its own mind you. They scheduled someone to come out and do repair. They replaced the entire upper panel of the range. They were supposed to replace the large dual burner front right position but the repair person didn't have that information and only had a small burner with him.

The inner ring of the large dual burner takes so long to heat up that it is almost useless. As well as I only have one pan that is large enough to fit that largest dual burner. I love to cook, have tons of cookware and almost every piece of it is all clad so I don't see how that burner can be useful to hardly anyone. Today the oven locked me out. I was cleaning the panel and here's some beeps and the oven locked up. There's a little place that tells you to hold it down for 3 seconds supposed to unlock it or lock it and it did none of those things.

After about six tries I was finally able to get the oven to unlock. This is without a doubt the worst appliance I have ever bought. And of course it was not cheap. It's infuriating to me that a company like Samsung has the nerve to sell such crap. I will not in case anybody was wondering ever buy another Samsung appliance. As I'm leaving my review with my 7th or 8th Samsung phone. I have four Samsung tvs. And those are just the ones that we have now. Previously we have had Samsung TVs for probably 20 years. We've been loyal to Samsung but there's something missing in this equation.

I bought a complete kitchen appliance set less than two years ago, all of which are their highest end products. All are also total garbage!!! Ice maker is stuck between crushed and cubed ice (and horribly loud when dispensing ice), the cooling in the drawer is sporadic at best, the range/oven combo is so beyond pathetic as it boils everything non-stop once whatever is on the burner reaches a cooking temp it will not do anything less than boil (so don’t plan on simmering anything!), the oven’s temp range while set at 350° will vary from 265° to as high as 400° and has never ever settled at a temperature close to 350° for which I usually use, and be VERY CAREFUL not to brush up against the stove as you will most likely turn a burner on without even knowing it, the stove/range clock is supposed to be automatically synced with the very expensive microwave but forget that too as I have to manually update the microwave clock as it loses minutes every week (I can buy a IKEA clock for a couple bucks and it never loses time!).

The dishwasher has started leaking twice in less than two years due to a horrible hose connection in the back of the dishwasher, etc etc etc.... So if I were you and you need an appliance I would avoid a Samsung product like the plague. I’ve spent more in service calls on this set I bought new less than two years ago than all the rest of my appliances I’ve owned in my previous 61 years of life. Lowe's did a good job with sales, delivery and extended insurance coverage. However, Samsung oven has defective knob design, all 4 knobs broke less than 12 months... PLASTIC!!!!

Odd request since after purchase date (common sense). They never sent the knobs. So we limped along with the broke knobs and now the control panel went out, less than 20 months. I have had the worst experience with my Samsung range. I have only had it a year and the control panel constantly flashes an 5E error, which could be a variety of issues. I try to shut it off and the digital screen doesn’t respond, so I unplug it and see if it will reset itself. It worked, for about 2 seconds. I then repeated the process to no avail. I finally got it to turn off, and then the stove randomly came on by itself later and was on the easy setting which is 400 degrees. If I had not been home I could have had a serious problem with that overheating and catching fire. So bottom line is, save your money and stay away from Samsung appliances. I have a Samsung refrigerator as well, and it has had freezer/icemaker issues the whole time I have had it. It’s been “repaired” 5 times and each time the problem just appears again. Sigh. Two complaints, one is VERY serious. 1- The main burner controls both can turn fully ON if your clothes brush against the knobs as you walk past it. You will not even know it until you see the burners glowing RED. This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS as the stove can easily cause a fire, because you never know if it has come on by itself unless you stop and deliberately check it every time before you leave the kitchen. The problem can be lessened if you remove the knob and add a small coil spring under the knob. That increases tension so that the knob has to be pressed harder before it can turn.

The second problem is the switches are prone to internal failure in short time. This appears to be planned to happen as both my main switches failed this week. My model NE58F9500SS is exactly four years old. It had both main switches replaced at the end of its first year, because of the problem mentioned above, the replacements had the same problem, which is why the springs were used. The present switches are exactly three years old. Earlier this week the smaller main burner switch began cycling itself on and off....with no one in the room. You have to jiggle the knob to get it to stop. and be sure it is actually off. Now the large burner switch has failed, as it changed itself from having infinite settings on both the inner and outer burners to total two settings.... ON or OFF. It does not matter what you do with the knob. It only turns to maximum all the time.

I take great pride in keeping my oven clean. It now looks like a war zone in a shape of a u. First call to customer service lands you in some country with pleasant agents, but very difficult to understand. They prolong the conversation by telling you how sorry they are, and peppering their responses with pleasantries, but have NO constructive feedback. He stated that there will always be a "variation" in temp and my experience was normal. Then I sent pictures of the thermometer reading with the oven set temp and the next step was to calibrate over the phone. That didn't work.

I then had two service visits. In one of the visits, the serviceman said that the oven can't be calibrated over the phone. They calibrated in person and finally it seemed the 3rd time was the charm. Several months later, the disparate temp issue reappeared. Same process. Now it is out of warranty, and they won't fix without charging me. I refused. Customer service is non existent, but they'll definitely send you a survey. Proliferation of surveys is inversely proportional to customer service. I will never buy a Samsung again. Defective items happen, that isn't the issue; it is how the company reacts. Samsung failed.

We have always loved Samsung TVs, so when we moved into this house four years ago, we bought all Samsung kitchen appliances. So disappointing! We have replaced the same burner on the stove twice, the burners do not heat up to the same temperature (high on one burner is equal to medium on another, and one takes forever to boil water). Almost every shelf in the fridge has cracked or broken altogether. After about a year, the dishwasher started making a horrible noise, and the timer went out. We had to replace a part in the microwave after just a few months because it stopped working. Stay away from all Samsung kitchen appliances!

We have a duoflex range, magnetic induction stove top. Product is good, customer service nonexistent. We initially took delivery in June, it had a defect, and they replaced it in Sept 2022. This oven is controlled by a central knob, which broke off 12 months after we took delivery the 2nd time. We called customer service, got great verbal assistance, clearly explaining to them (with photos) which part had failed, and they sent a tech. He came with the wrong part, and after some consult, Samsung now claims this is normal wear and tear, and will not help. We are 2-3 hours from Seattle, with few techs nearby. The knob is "unavailable", so we currently have a completely useless oven, with no end in sight. We are contacting every consumer protection agency we can think of.

I purchased the "pretty" Bespoke kitchen appliances (4) in Sept 2022. After receiving them at different times (all but the stove came damaged), when I finally received them all, I thought it would all be good. Wrong. Last month, a heating element in the front burner of my stove exploded, sending a heavy All Clad pan filled with rice pudding up to my ceiling and into the adjacent rooms. Large shards of glass were strewn about, and over a month later, I'm still finding tiny pieces of plastic. Samsung advised this was "fixable" because although a US based tech came out, their India based tech who saw the damage on a phone said it was. Such a horrible experience.

Anytime you want to call, you have to go through a call center in India. Every CSR had a heavy accent and spoke fast, making them barely understandable. I'm not going to agree to anything that I can't understand. When I finally got a US based "case manager", they really did nothing except to reiterate what the "tech" had said before. The appliance guy at Lowe's said to unplug it because it is not safe, but Samsung is fine with "fixing" it. What's wrong with this picture? It should be replaced, as it is less than a year old. Samsung is awful. NEVER purchase any high ticket item from them.

We don't need an air fryer, this is built into the range and now we can go back to baking breads with the bread proofer. Well worth the price. Customer service is great also. I purchased a Samsung gas stove/oven in 7/2019 for $750.00 at P.C. Richard. I didn't purchase an extended warranty but paid for it with a credit card that gave me an extra year. When the oven worked it heated evenly but in less than a year the touchscreen where you enter temp, roast, broil etc became corrupted. The oven heated but no way to know at what temp. At the time this happened Covid had begun and being immunocompromised I could not call a repairman. I use this oven 2/week at most. The self clean worked poorly. The past 4 times I turned on the oven. I smelled gas. The repair from pc richard's came ($200) and said the igniter was dead and they'd get me a new one in 10 days for $150. The repairman (who felt quite bad for us) said igniters should be replaced every 12 to 18months???? Fixing the touchscreen would have cost more than the product itself.

When he came back to install the igniter, he couldn't as all the screws had corroded. It would have cost more than the oven itself to repair so I sent him away after paying the labor cost. I emailed, called and sent a certified mail/return receipt request to corporate. The response is sorry, out of 1 year warranty when the stove was already failing. I am furious. Don't make this mistake. No major appliance that costs $750 plus should fail within 4 years. I understand that the company produces appropriate electronics but never purchase a kitchen appliance from them. It seems this is common knowledge. Is this the best Samsung can do. $750.00 in the trash.

We built our new custom home and thought we were buying good quality when we purchased 3 new Stainless Steel Samsung appliances from Lowe’s. Our oven has been the worst experience. The LED Clock wouldn’t illuminate in one area approximately 1.5 years in. Next our oven door latch would fail to close properly. It would open very slightly and the oven light would come on. Cooking would stop. I have to prop a bar chair against it to ensure it’s closed. When we call Samsung all they say is it is past the 1 year warranty. I take great pride in our home and care for our things very well. I’ll mention our other two appliances also: our fridge ice maker would not work form day one. They replaced it. It continued to freeze up and not work. Samsung didn’t care.

Finally my husband found a class action law suit against Samsung for this very issue so they relinquished and fixed it. Our dishwashers plastic rack split open (and the exposed metal rusted!). I did not cause this damage as I do not place my knives in the dishwasher. We had to replace the rack at a price of $200. The dishwasher cleans the dishes fairly well. I could never place pots or pans in it. They would not come out clean. We will NEVER buy Samsung again. They are only 6 years old now and we’ve had so many issues with them which began at 1.5 years time.

I did a full kitchen remodel and I used Samsung for all my appliances, Range hood, dishwasher, refrigerator and glass top electric range. I spared no expense to get the best that was available at the time and had to have the black stainless steel. After a year the display panel started to flicker like a fast strobe light. As I do with anything I'm having a problem with I did a search on the internet to see if other people were experiencing the same thing and what they did to resolve it. I was shocked to see how many people had experienced the same thing and more shocked that Samsung didn't consider this a recall part problem.

Instead we have to go to Amazon or other sites to purchase this ourselves and then we would have to pull the range out to get to the back of the range to replace the part and YouTube how to replace it. What this experience has led me to believe, Samsung does not stand behind the quality of their products and instead of stepping up and at least supply the new part at no cost to us they would sooner take the risk of people not purchasing Samsung products because of negative reviews. Shame on Samsung.

Most recent was a plastic cutting board that was moved while the counters were being cleaned. Stepped outside and when I came back in my house was full of thick smoke you couldn't even see. This appliance looks nice, however, my house has almost caught fire on more than one occasion due to the faulty design. The front knobs are extremely sensitive so the burners can easily accidentally get turned on. They beep quietly when stove is turned on but unless your house is totally quiet, you won't hear it. There should be a way to lock the stove top like you can lock the oven but this isn't the case. I realize you aren't supposed to put anything on the cooktop, but in real life, if you come home from the store with your hands full and you have a small kitchen, you put a bag of groceries in it and accidentally touch a knob, the stove top comes on and your house is on fire. A little over a year ago, I purchased 3 Samsung appliances and I will never buy Samsung again. My clothes dryer already went out and Samsung quoted me nearly $800, which is about what the dryer cost, to fix an easily accessible $40 part that shouldn't have to be replaced on a lightly used dryer barely over a year old.

Samsung sent tech rep to diagnose issue. He was surprised to see it happen, called Samsung contact only to find out that this fan change was put in by design on recent model.

Samsung second level customer support said they were sorry but that is the way the oven is designed, so they would not do anything to correct the issue or take it back (it was our problem). The oven shows no fan image beside standard bake, nor does it suggest anywhere in the documentation that convection is always present to some degree. Bought this stove 2 years ago. Bought it because we liked the sleek and modern looking design. Don't be fooled by this design as we were. You are better off with the old fashioned stove with panel in the back rather than panel in the front where you are working. First of all, this stove came without proper instructions on how to operate the computerized panel. It isn't user friendly and I went online to find instructions, and they simply were not there! I ended up figuring it out by trial and error. There was a booklet, but it had nothing as practical as operating instructions.

Second problem: every time you use it, you turn something on that you don't want! All of the controls are in your way, and they are sensitive to anything touching it. I have accidently turned on the self clean and couldn't stop it! Third problem: every time that you clean this stove after every use (front control panel which gets greasy every time you use it) you turn something on the panel. Fourth problem: stove frequently shuts itself off completely so that no controls work (error message). I have found that the only fix is to pull the unit out from the wall and unplug it and replug it and it will reset. I am a 60 something year old and obviously cannot pull this out of the wall by myself, so I have frequently had to wait hours without a functional stove for help.

Fifth problem: there are drips on the inside of the glass that cannot be cleaned without taking the stove apart. I have rarely used the oven because I have a small convection oven so I am completely bewildered how liquid drips have gotten inside of the glass. This has never happened to me before. I am resolved that when I have the money I will buy a new stove even though this is a new stove. Word of advice? Buy something a little less stylish but more functional and better designed and hopefully more user friendly with an actual manual telling you how to use it!

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time.

That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

We purchased the Samsung 30" slide in electric range manuf. March 2021 from Lowe's and it was delivered Oct. 2021. The burner has twice inadvertently turned on by just bumping the front dials. In both cases there was something on the stovetop that CAUGHT ON FIRE. This happened once to myself and another time by a contractor working in the kitchen. Researching, I found two videos on Youtube that documented similar events. Since the stove has been in place over three months, I cannot return it to Lowe's and I have spent many hours unsuccessfully getting assistance from Samsung. This has been a problem with Samsung stoves, apparently for several years. Please, for your safety, DO NOT BUY.

I bought my Samsung oven in June 2019. I self cleaned it a year later and everything seems to be working fine. I tried to self clean this year in September and all of a sudden it stopped in just about 20 minutes, then I tried to do it again and it stopped again. I tried it the next day but the same thing happen again. I got an error code that the fans are not cooling enough. I had to wait and still waiting this day for ABT to fix the problem. The biggest problem is not that, after I self cleaned this time I got a spot inside the oven that looks like a stain but it's not. I tried to clean it but it's getting bigger and bigger every time I touch it. By the way this happened after the self clean because I never had it before and it looks like as of the paint is starting to peel. The second problem that I have encountered with this range is that ever since I started using the middle burner, the paint started to peel around it as well. Just a reminder this is only 2 years old range.

I called Samsung twice and they promised me that someone will come out to help me with the problem. They gave me one time complimentary warranty since the manufacturer warranty is only for 1 year. I also had to tell the customer service people that if there is nothing that they can do about it, don't waste my time and send someone here, and the guy told me, "NO. They will be able to help you." A tech came out and looked at it and then he had to call his boss and show him what was happing to our oven and top of the stove, then guess what he tells me? "I am sorry, but this is cosmetic and it's not covered," and that's what I didn't want to hear. I was so frustrated, and pissed off. What a waste of my time.

I called the customer service and the lady told me that she is sorry that this had happen to me and there is nothing anybody can do for me at this time. I have never in my life had such an experience, and had to write a bad review about any company. I used to think Samsung was good, not anymore. I don't recommend it for anyone to buy it. I wish I had done some research before buying.

I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated.

I have spent 7k on these appliances and they're starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

At the moment, our house is fully stocked with Samsung stainless steel appliances from top to bottom. Dishwasher, microwave, freerange oven, refrigerator, TVs, etc. You name it, we bought into the Samsung brand due to the tech features and the sleek designs, but we regret every single decision we made when buying the Samsung brand. Never have we ever had such an awful experience with EVERY single product from a single brand than with Samsung. I'll keep this review narrowed in focus to just the Samsung freerange oven, but I do want to provide some details around the numerous and frequent issues we've had with every other Samsung appliance we own.

First off, some background, we usually buy our appliances from Lowe's due to the proximity to our home and the frequent sales they offer. We started to renovate our house a few years ago and began purchasing new appliances at that time. From the start we had problems. First, we purchased a new Samsung waterwall dishwasher and within the first year, we had to repair a plastic motor part that drained water after the wash cycle. We decided to not purchase the Lowes warranty at the time (regrettably) and I was forced to watch a YouTube video of a guy taking the motor apart and using epoxy to repair a cheapo plastic part that was seemingly critical to the machine's functionality. Next up was the Samsung microwave, which after 6 months had the motherboard supporting the dials blow out. It literally just stopped working, without warning or without an obvious cause.

Luckily, this was within warranty and a new board was mailed to us, which solved the problem. Fast forward 3 years (which seems to be the magic timeframe for ALL Samsung appliances to crap out), we're now having the exact same issue. So, outside of warranty, we need to figure out whether to fix or replace this crappy Samsung microwave. Next up we have the Samsung smart 55" LED TV. We bought this at Best Buy on a Black Friday deal 3 years ago and it was great...until it wasn't. No warning, it worked one day and then it didn't. Looked up all the DIY fixes and replaced the power board, no luck. It was JUST outside warranty and we know face the decision to pay more to fix it or just change to a new, different brand, TV. UGH!

Now, to the Samsung freerange oven. To start, we are very, VERY, fortunate to not have had our house burn to the ground due to this incredibly dangerous and absolutely awful appliance from catching fire....TWICE! Some details, again, we bought our Samsung freerange range oven, Model NE597R0ABSR/AA, Serial Number J0V27DCC501158V, from Lowes back in 2019. We had a very old oven that just wasn't cutting it and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing this oven. We felt at the time that Samsung had very good reviews, despite some of their newer lines of appliances being out for a short period of time. We take the plunge and the experience of having it delivered and installed was great. Not more than 2 years of having the oven we had our first of two awful experiences with the oven.

I cook for a family of 6 about 5-6 times a week, using 3 of the 4 range top burners and the oven at the same time. That's a lot of cooking on a regular basis, so when we were simply cooking on 2 burners without using the oven and we saw FLAMES coming from the back of the oven, we were blown away. And terrified! We immediately turned the burner, got the fire extinguisher ready and shut off the main breaker to the kitchen. The flames subsided but the smoke was still billowing out of the back of the oven and the fire detectors went crazy. As we pulled the oven out from the wall (and took off the food, which eventually spoiled) we could see where the smoke was coming from. We unplugged the oven and took off the panel and the entire motherboard was melted....it was like someone doused it with gasoline and set it on fire. Our oven was ruined and the wall behind the oven was charred.

Long story short, we filed a claim with Samsung and despite our oven being out of warranty for just a few months, they sent out techs (who didn't speak English) to replace the motherboard and it worked once again. We were pretty shaken from the experience and were hesitant using the oven or range with any level of intensity, but over time we began to use it normally. Not 10 months later, we were making dinner just like we always did (the night before Thanksgiving, nonetheless) and THE SAME THING HAPPENED, but on a different place on the the oven. We heard a POP, and the back of the oven started smoking and there were flames. Then the oven shut off. Once again, we turned off the oven, we pulled it out, we unplugged it, we removed the back panels and IT MELTED THE GODDAMN WIRES!

This was the last straw. Samsung appliances have been nothing but an absolute disaster and even with warranties, they seem to stop working/break/catch fire/etc just days or weeks or months past the warranty timeframes. Samsung makes appliances and products that look great, but my god they are absolute trash. We are now in the process of replacing every Samsung product in our house to prevent a disaster in our home. Do your research, buy what you can afford, but please, do not buy Samsung. It's garbage.

The range does everything that I would want it to do while maintaining steadfast temperatures in the oven as well as controlled trickle-gas flames on the stove top. The only negative comment that I would make is cleaning the stove top with its anodized black cover. Never use an abrasive when cleaning or you'll scratch the hell out of it! I bought a dual oven with convection and ceramic top electric model and it has never worked right. The stove top works fine. The ovens are convenient because you can run top, bottom, both at the same time at different temps or open it for one huge oven. But.... the temp does not hold. Once preheated, I open the door and in a flash put in the food. The food never cooks well.

After a few uses and about a day after my warranty was over (I don't use the oven often), I wondered why nothing cooks properly...so I tested it with a thermometer. When you open the oven to put the food in, the temp drops severely. When you close the oven, the oven does not bring itself back to the set temp. It stays at the dropped temp. This is a huge and severe flaw. The oven should maintain the set temp. Always. Obviously, its sole function is to COOK food. Called Samsung and they basically played dumb. No advice, no support... Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. The knobs on the stovetop are poorly engineered and will easily turn if something accidentally knocks into them (like a pot handle or your arm)--this has led to stovetops accidentally turning on and burning our dinner multiple times. The lower right stovetop also gets unusually hot and the lower left stovetop works unusually slow, even when the knobs are turned to the same setting--this had led to food burning on the lower right stove even when it's on low and left unsupervised for just a couple minutes. Stovetop grates too heavy but can go in dishwasher. 3. Oven temperature ready signal incorrect. It sounds when the temperature is till 50 degrees or more from the temperature I set. 4. Inside oven glass hard to clean. 5. I do not recommend a black stove top as it shows every particle of debris/ grease, etc. Get a light color. It is nice to have 5 burners. We have a 2019 convection model that wasn't working when we bought our home. 2 of the 4 burners only worked on High, so we could not adjust them. BTW - owners selling homes are supposed to sign a form claiming that everything works to their knowledge. These owners lied because not only did the Samsung oven not work properly but the Samsung refrigerator ice maker did not work either. We had to pay $100 with the home warranty to get someone to fix both. About a year later, a burner literally blows up! My wife had something on low simmering on one burner with a cover sitting on the other burners that were off. That cover had a glass center that blew up along with the glass that covered the burners. Fortunately, the glass didn't hit my wife or 7 y/o son who were right next to it.

I took photos and sent them to Samsung and they sent someone over to "review" whether it was really what we said, or an impact cause. Guess what? The dude said it was caused by impact and that it would cost us hundreds to fix. No joke! He even said it would cost us $100 for the visit. I told him to get out of my house and good luck getting your $100 from Samsung.

We thought the design of the burners was useful, but came to realize the oval burner in the center is pretty useless and in its limited use, is just not powerful enough to heat a large grate. Ultimately, a round center burner would be more useful. Last note, of the included 4 round burners, only the front left is actually sized correctly, the front right burner is too large for most pots, ok for a wok and the rears are too small.

The Stainless Steel look is very pretty and architectural, the warmer at the bottom works better as a drawer than a warmer because it is difficult to keep dust and dirt from entering. Another design to note, the door design is poor in that if something spills in between the glass panes, you literally need to use a screwdriver to take it apart to clean, bad design there. Looks great, operates fair... Buy again, probably not. One last note, this needed the igniter replaced within the 1st 2 years, reliable? No.
