Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didn't even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didn't hit the glass and no I'm not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and that's not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all.
Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Don't do this to yourself.

We purchased our Samsung #FTQ353IWUX stove 8 years ago. There have always been little problems, all happening after our extended warranty expired. Ie: the glass top cracked; cleaning cycle never completely cleaned the oven; now I have a problem with the oven light flashing off and on and snap/crackling/popping when I turn the oven on. Purchased from Lowe's. They gave me 2 repair companies to call. Neither will touch a Samsung. So, off to buy a new stove in the next day or 2 and it will NOT be a Samsung.

We have a Samsung Induction Range purchase in 2013. There have been consistent issues, but nothing as serious as last night. I was washing dishes when I heard a clicking sound. When I looked over at the range, the panel and burner lights were flashing. Within seconds there was an extremely loud pop and then major arcs and flames. Since our breaker box was in the next room, I was able to turn power off to the unit right away.
The range is out of warranty, however, because an electrical fire should be considered a major safety issue, I contacted Samsung and explained what happened. So, Samsung is sending a appliance repairman out to assess the damage and because my oven was on fire, they won't charge me a diagnostic fee! Really Samsung? Shame on you! You should be taking this oven fire issue a little more seriously than you seem to be, especially in light of so many complaints that have been lodged against you just this year alone.

I am very unhappy with this "Samsung Oven" No#:(0D1NFDAH900088B), that I purchased in November of 2016, at Best Buy. I do homemade cakes for family and friends, each one I try to bake in this oven falls flat. It has been tested by Best Buy's technicians, and I still have the same problem. I have to go to my sister's house, because I can't bake a cake in my own oven. Not one cake that I tried to bake has risen properly in this oven. The oven is peeling and rusting on the inside and there is stains on the glass doors that will not come out. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN!!! UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN DALLAS.

I have had my gas oven/range (NX58H9500WS) for almost two years. It has worked fine. Suddenly the gas burners were not running properly. Orange flames instead of blue. I had it checked and all of the burners are LEAKING GAS when in the off position! Enough gas, that when the gas man walked into my house with his gas sniffer running, it went off immediately. Thank God we have not blown up by now! I will contact Samsung, but it doesn't look too promising. A $2000 range only good for two years...garbage!! Never Samsung again...NEVER!

I bought a brand new Samsung convection range NE59J7651WS, and it is only 23 months old. I have only used the self clean function twice before, and before this cycle completed the control panel fried and stopped working. Now I have to find a repair company to fix this. I noticed there are hundreds of customers that have the same issue and I think it would be appropriate for Samsung be accountable for this issue. A recall should happen and if not a class-action lawsuit may be started. I'm all for that!! I will definitely never buy another Samsung appliance again!

I bought my Samsung FE710 in February of 2015. Almost immediately after purchase, the markings on the top to show the level of heat required and the number of rings desired started to wear off. Secondly, a crucial knob to deliver heat to the biggest ring malfunctioned, displaying a red light at all times. When this happened the electric circuit for the house blew. When power was restored, the red light came on - constantly again. My phone call to Samsung took over 2 hours, mostly on hold. I gave them purchase date, serial number, model number, and their only advice was to phone a repair place in another city. The knob defect has now been repaired, and after some discount, I paid over $300 - for a knob. My other problem continues.

Model FER300SX. I bought this 4 years ago. First the front glass is edge to edge and we barely tapped it with a small pot and it shattered so bad I had to remove it all together. The glass top is nearly impossible to keep clean and the oven never quite cooked evenly. Now, at 350 degrees, thermometer reads 175-200 after 40 minutes. Bad mistake this was. Won't buy another appliance with Samsung on it.

I just logged in to see if anything had changed. I purchased the Samsung set electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. This was for our winter home and used only 6 months a year. So other than entertaining these appliances do not get used. After reading these reviews I'm feeling very lucky. After two years we are on our second stovetop that has exploded (and not covered by warranty). The top is so bad you can slice your hand open just by cleaning.
The stove light stays on hot permanently, the cleaning feature has never worked, the heat is never even and the funniest thing is that the first time I cleaned it with Windex all of the numbers came off the dials. When I called them they agreed to cover it, wasted my time by sending out a repairman who then called me a liar and said I had broken the stove. I have never heard of such unethical handling in my life. I own apartments and have never had this problem with good old American products. And I will never shop at the store I purchased this at because they carried and supported such a horrible product.

I purchased model NE59J7850WS/AA. It was not heating properly and I called to have it serviced. When the service tech came out he stated that they had several problems with this unit and that's just the way it was. He didn't even have a thermometer with him to check if the oven was heating properly. After using my own thermometer he made a few calls and replaced the entire board in the back. It's working better but does not heat evenly. The newest issue is that the glass top is really hard to keep clean. I've had glass top stoves before and never had a problem like this. We called service and was told if it isn't a manufacturer defect we would have to pay for the service call. I think the most insulting thing was she was trying to tell us we didn't know how to clean the cooktop. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I don't believe they are a quality product.

A week ago, I used the broil setting on my newly installed Samsung Double Wall Oven. Within 5 minutes, the oven reported "Overheating" and a C-21 error. The oven was VERY hot. Of course, I immediately called support since the oven was under warranty and only a little more than a month old. It took a week to get service from Samsung's authorized repair team - Dish.com. I was dubious when the service person started looking up repair instructions on his phone. (Only one arrived for something I knew would require removing the 265 lb. oven) After reading the repair instructions for a while, he decided he would need help in removing the oven and called for a second person.
After arrival, they proceeded to remove the oven. The stand they set up to support the oven wasn't secured and I watched as they dropped the oven on the floor and it proceeded to tip over and put multiple dents and scratches in the new Samsung refrigerator. So now I have a damaged refrigerator that up to this time was 100% scratch free. Once they replaced the control board (which is a part that shouldn't fail in less than a month), they started reinstallation. While reinstalling the doors that have to be removed to pull the unit out - they dropped the upper oven door. It landed on the latch of the lower oven bending the latch, so the oven won't close. Of course, in the process, the oven door finish was chipped. Not just scratched but chipped down to raw metal. This is all not to mention the dent in the floor and paint/drywall damage.
So now going on the second week - I still have an unusable oven and the bonus of a damaged refrigerator. They tell me it will take 3 days to get someone out to look at the damage. No indication of when it'll be made whole. As an architect and Director of Design with over 750 luxury apartment units on the drawing board right now - I won't be specifying Samsung appliances.

When I bought my Samsung self-cleaning range with convection oven and glass door it never occurred to me that dirt could get between the double glass on the oven door. I have had ranges from other manufacturers with see-thru doors before and have never experienced a problem. The Samsung, however, manages to collect dust so that after three years I can't even see the interior of the oven. I had a Samsung repair specialist look at it and he said there's no way to clean it.
After three years the self-cleaning process no longer cleans and burners have hot spots. I've stopped using the convection feature because there's no difference between that and the regular oven as far as performance is concerned. I am very unhappy with the Samsung range and am looking forward to replacing it soon. I would not recommend a Samsung product to my worse enemy if I had one. Suggest if you are thinking of buying Samsung you run as fast as you can in another direction.

Purchased a Samsung oven June 5, 2016. Within 18 months the finish on the inside started peeling off. If you pull out the oven racks the finish is off, the bottom of the oven the finish is off. We paid $ 1700.00 for this oven and of course Samsung will not do anything, they say it's cosmetic. Regardless if it is cosmetic or not an oven should last longer than 18 months, unless it is not meant to be used for baking or cooking. And of course if the powder coating is peeling then the cooking temp, will vary which it does, have hotspots. Samsung does not care about their customers, they sell crappy products. Now I'm afraid to do the self-cleaning. Who knows what will happen.

We bought a package deal at Best Buy in December 2016 - a Samsung dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and slide in double oven. In one year's time, 3 of the 4 appliances have broken and need expensive parts. However, the gas slide in range is by far the worst product (NX58K9850). After using the self cleaning feature for the first time, the oven over-heated and door locked. We have to pay $400 to replace the control board to get it to work again. After seeing so many similar complaints, I can't believe there isn't a recall on this oven. We will NEVER buy a Samsung appliance again. Wish I had seen this site Before I made my purchase!

I purchased this oven in Sept 2016. The self cleaning settings are for 3-5 hours. When I ran it on 3 hours previously, it did not clean the oven so this time I ran it on the 5 hours. About 3 1/2 hours into the process my husband and I noticed a very strong burning smell he thought smelled electrical or insulation. The ovens electronic control panel quit and the lock remains locked. I researching troubleshooting we found this is a complaint and the repair shop said it is a common issue that they repair frequently. We have not found out the costs to repair nor do we know the condition of the inside of the oven. This oven should be recalled as we have had sore throats since. We have found the costs to repair can be between $200 and $1100.

This gas range fails within a year!!! PLUS it has been a total nightmare getting service for Samsung products. I finally realize from other reviews their products for the home are subpar. Only 1/2 the oven has worked the full oven has not. Now I have a brand new range with only a 1/2 oven!!! It is my understanding from reading other reviews if you use the self cleaning feature it MELTS the buttons and the circuit board. BEWARE OF THE short lived quality of the Samsung brand for this kind of product.

Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.

I bought a Samsung stove - cost over $1000 for dual ovens (when the slide in partition is used). It has always been ridiculously slow to reach cooking temperature - I have long since given up and just throw the food in and hope for the best. It's usually about 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. The real problem started when I was broiling toast - happily I was watching it so when the back of stove caught fire I was there to shut everything down and hit the breaker. A huge circuit board caught fire and melted and destroyed all the wiring too.
I waited weeks for a technician who charged me $260 (through Samsung's site) and it worked again, but constantly makes clicking noises. The tech said this was normal!!! (It was clicking while he there.) I guess he thinks I'm stupid! Now the convection fan comes on without turning on the convection side and keeps running with the door is open. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Good chance that my house would burned. SHAME ON SAMSUNG. They've ignored the fire issue for years.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. I'm going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

I bought the Samsung electric range model NE59J7630SG in July 2017 from Home Depot when they had the huge sale with refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Before, I have been using a different brand electric range for years with no problem. After about 2 months later, I started to see white scratches in the middle of burner. It looked like some liquid residue right underneath the glass top, which I could not get rid of with cleaning. After 3.5 months later, one night, my mom used it before she went to bed, slept, and when we came out the next morning, we saw round shaped broken glasses on the cooktop which soon gave a big long crack across the burner. I called customer service asking for replacement (had 1yr warranty). They sent me a tech to diagnose, then they said they could not replace it because it's a physical damage.
I requested second opinion, they sent another tech who said he would request for the replacement, didn't hear anything back for 2 weeks. I called the tech and found out Samsung denied it since it's a physical damage. The tech said it would cost me $500 just to replace the top after I just spent $750 buying a new one. I have been fighting with Samsung for 2 months now, spoke with 4-5 different managers. Three of them gave me an approval to get it fixed at their cost, but nothing gets done. Every time I call them, I get a different rep at a different location, they cannot connect me to the person I spoke to before. You give them the ticket# with the approval, but doesn't matter. They don't care what the previous manager promised you, you will have to start from the beginning all over again.
They are saying it's their policy that physical damage is not covered by the warranty, I did something wrong with the range, doesn't admit that it's their product defect. I googled to see if people had the same problem as I did, I found people with the same problem!!! Even I found one on this website, this lady her pictures on here and it looked exactly the same as mine and she said one day she heard a loud bang in her kitchen and the crack on her cooktop!! Do not waste your money on Samsung product. Their product is horrible and when there is a problem, good luck with it.

I have read other reviews and I am horrified to find that we are not alone in our experience. But what is even worse is that we bought our Samsung Range in late 2010 not because our 30 year old oven didn't work, but because I wanted a new sleek glass top. In Dec 2011, we also experienced the sizzling sound immediately followed by a loud POP and then black smoke and flames coming from behind the controls. After going the rounds with Samsung customer service etc, we finally got someone out to replace the motherboard at the cost of a service call for us because even though it had been just over a year, our product was out of warranty because it was manufactured 3 years prior to our purchase! Whatever!
Then, to make matters worse, while baking a cake today (nearly 6 years later), DEJA VU!! It happened again. Exactly the same as the first time. So here I did waiting for a return phone call because I told Samsung I wanted them to get their dangerous piece of crap out of my house before it killed my family, of which I'm certain it's capable of doing. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance and not only will I not recommend them, I'll also try to convince anyone that's thinking of getting one, not to!

I purchased and installed a Samsung Gas Range (NC58H9950WS) in Spring of 2015. I recently ran (Dec 2017) the oven cleaning feature, and now my display is not working. I've found many similar reviews stating their displays stopped working after running the cleaning program. The cost to repair this is approximately $1100 to replace both display boards (the range cost me around $2500 new). It would seem that Samsung sold us all a bill of goods by saying this feature is available on their range but in fact using the feature will make other parts of the range break down and require replacement. Samsung has discontinued making two parts that we need to fix the induction cooktop. The circuit boards blew up and there are no replacement parts being made. Samsung doesn't stand behind their products. They simply told us "sorry". Sorry?! That stove was over $2000 and cannot be fixed! How irresponsible of Samsung! Not only is this bad for the consumer, but it's bad for the environment! I understand that things break, but the fact that there are no parts being manufactured to fix it is inexcusable. 12/24/2017 My wife turn the oven on of our Samsung Range Model # FTQ3531WUX?XAA, about 5 minutes later heard two large "POPS". Wondering what the noise was went into kitchen to find black smoke billowing from the control panel. My wife came in about the same time. I pulled the stove away from the wall and my wife pulled the plug out of the wall. Flames were shooting out from the back side of the stove. Was able to extinguish fire and silence the smoke detectors. Luckily we were near or my kitchen, wall or entire house could have gone up in flames.
12/26/2017 I contacted Samsung Corp. I explained exactly what happened and the first thing they asked if anyone was injured. I said "NO, we acted fast." They said they would send a technician no charge service call or labor to determine if the cost would be greater the stove replacement. The part (new control panel) with tax came to $179.49. I thought it was cheaper than a new stove so he fixed it and charged me just for the part. The tech said he couldn't believe Samsung would only cover the trip charge and not the faulty part too. Maybe if someone got hurt or my house burned down would they cover it.
After we had it repaired I did a lot of research and I am not alone with this faulty problem. Numerous people owning Samsung stoves had fires too. I wrote another letter to Samsung Corp. explaining our situation and asked if I could have the amount of the part refunded. My request was denied again. They gave me a number in South Carolina to call, it was their product liability department. After nearly a half hour explaining our experience they refused to refund the cost of the part and said I should be happy they covered the service charge. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she said no one is above her. So that is our Samsung range story. My advice and my wife's is NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG!!! Your life could depend on it!!!

Purchased 01/15/2017, delivered 02/07/2017. We have been contacting Samsung for service since October with no success. We have now been WITHOUT A WORKING RANGE FOR OVER A MONTH. The so-called "SERVICE and WARRANTY" for this appliance is a joke (See below). We have not used the stove as Samsung instructed for over a month.
We've spent $100's of dollars eating out and can only can eat cold sandwiches at home. We also had to cancel our Christmas gathering that we've had for 15 years due to this on-going problem. "MISSING THE SPECIAL CUSTOMER INVOICE RECEIPT". 01/05 - (8:57pm) I called Samsung back, told them we ALREADY SENT THEM EVERY DOCUMENT AND RECEIPT WE HAD RECEIVED from Home Depot.

Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March 26, 2016. Last week after the holidays on 12/27/17 decided to use the self cleaning oven for very first time (oven was only lightly soiled). I picked the short 2hr cycle since it was the first time using the cleaning feature. About an hour later noticed the display lights were all off and oven was not running. Oven door was locked. The knobs and display panel were hot. Waited for it to cool down for hours. Nothing changed. Luckily the stove top still worked! Called PC Richards for my extended warranty service. A week later the repair tech came and said he has seen this problem many times before and that it is a known design flaw of the range and suggested I clean the stove manually from now on! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing - after spending over $2000.00 on a new range I am supposed to clean it by hand?
The tech ordered the 3 hidden thermal fuses and will return to repair when they come in. If that does not unlock the oven door he states it could be that the motherboard was also fried and need to be replaced. Luckily I have an extended warranty but if I attempt to use the self clean again will this happen all over again. I will be contacting Samsung for the answer. I am 60 yrs old and have never had to clean any oven manually before and don’t intend to start now! Apparently this is a known flaw and this product should be recalled by Samsung. I will wait until the tech returns with the parts (hopefully within another 2 weeks) and everything is fixed and then intend to contact Samsung again. This is a major inconvenience, not having an oven for at least 3-4 weeks. I hear the customer service and satisfaction at Samsung is less than adequate but I am relentless and will not accept this situation. I will keep you posted.

All the knobs that control the stove top have broken and the cast iron grates have even broken. In over 25 years of owning appliances, I have never had one that broke down in so many ways. Never had knobs or grates broken before and two thermo couplers??? To make matters worse, my local appliance repair company won't service Samsung, wish I'd known that before I bought it, lesson learned. I understand why they won't service this badly constructed stove/range. When I contact Samsung for help, the first guy hung up on me. In 2012, I purchased a Samsung microwave, electric stove/range, and refrigerator. During the first year, the control panel on the refrigerator stopped working three times. Fortunately, the refrigerator was under the one-year warranty, and Samsung paid to have the panel replaced each time. So far, I have had no further problems with the refrigerator. Within five years, the handle on the microwave pulled off. Within two years of purchasing the stove, the oven completely stopped working. The cost to repair was nearly as much as a new stove plus the repairman could not guarantee when the parts would arrive from overseas.
I decided to purchase another stove and stuck with the same Samsung model as it matched the other appliances in my kitchen. Who could imagine (not me!) that within two years, the ceramic stove-top, for absolutely no reason, would crack and shatter. I can understand occasional problems with manufactured products, but to have all four appliances perform so poorly within five years is indicative of gross incompetence and poor workmanship on the part of Samsung.

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but don't work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs.
The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. It's so damaged I couldn't use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since it's on the top it falls into your food. We "upgraded" to a stainless steel Samsung gas range two years ago. I loved it at first... it was pretty and new, however at the one year anniversary I noticed that the bottom pan of the oven was cracking and peeling. I contacted Samsung, but alas, we were one week out of warranty but they would be happy to send us a new part for 79.00 plus installation. I said “No thank you,” because I might have to order a number of these because they only last one year. Upon cleaning my stove about two months ago, I noticed that the knobs are all cracked and one is broken... the plastic shaft (that is painted to look like metal) all defective. Probably due to the fact that they are in metal knobs… attached to metal shaft and the exhaust from the oven is directly below the knobs.
So! I called Samsung and received the usual mantra that the range is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send me some more to the tune of $55.00 per knob plus shipping. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but receiving no satisfaction. THEN! I got call from customer service a week later, that they would indeed give me a one time warranty on the knobs and to expect them to come shortly. I was really happy and looking forward to the knobs arriving. Well... we are one month out from receiving the call that they would replace the knobs, so I called Samsung to follow up. After sitting on the phone for another 45 minutes, I was told that Customer Service had sent the order to the parts department and the parts department denied the claim. Of course, no one called or emailed me.
So, they told me I could order new ones. No thank you! Two weeks ago I was going to bake an item, and my oven would not heat up. We purchased the extended warranty from (H.H. Gregg… who is currently out of business!) so I called the warranty company who sent out a service man who replaced the oven igniter. The service man told me that most ovens are made this way... the bottom plate chips and cracks... the knobs break and crack... and to be on the watch for the convection fan because that will be the next thing. This range is just a piece of junk... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance. We thought we were purchasing a quality appliance... guess the joke is on us!!

We bought a Samsung Stove Top/Oven last September. On July 31st, a regulator malfunctioned which prevents the gas from turning off. We immediately called Samsung, which (after several phone calls) said that they would give a full refund (instead of paying for the repair). That was their choice, not ours. After two days with no response from Samsung customer service, I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time... which has been a pretty standard amount of time to wait) I was told my picture of the receipt didn't capture the whole receipt and was asked if I could take it again. I did, sent it into the same email I sent the first and heard nothing for 2 days. I called and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me they didn't get it. I resent it and then it was verbally confirmed that they received it and it was adequate.
We heard nothing for a day or two and I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me it was in process. I explained that we were without an oven and they assured me "they understood". I've called back every 2 or 3 days for a month... always given the same promise that "today, someone will call me/email me/contact me" which hasn't happened. In one month of dealing with their customer service I have only received one phone call or email from Samsung. Every contact was initiated by me and every email has gone unanswered--even when I request and demand an answer. on August 17th I was told that my refund request was rejected because my "receipt was not a valid bill of sale because it didn't have all of the required information" (that is, the model number and name of the stove). This was the only receipt I was given, so I called the local store.
They sent me some screen shots of all the information they had, which I forwarded to the emails provided to me by Samsung. In the 12 days since, I still have not heard anything from Samsung. They have not called back (as they said they would), they have not answered an email (which they said they will). If I call, I cannot speak to the same person I spoke to the day before, but must listen as this new person assures me they are "on my side and want me to get my refund" and assure me they will call me back (which NEVER HAPPENS). When I ask to speak to a supervisor (or "executive customer service") I wait for 40 minutes and still get zero help. What a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT the oven has been and what a complete and total mess their customer service has been.

I purchased my Samsung electric range Model NE597R0ABSR in September of 2014 from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas. Last week on 08/10/2017 the oven suddenly caught on fire when I turned the oven on. Nothing in the oven. The control panel read that the temperature of the oven was only 275 degrees. I just heard a clicking noise and then a small 'boom' and I could see my oven was on fire through the glass. Smoke alarm went off, and I got the fire out without getting hurt. The heating element in the oven had caught fire on its left side and was melted. The lens around the light was also scorched and then there was all the damage to the walls of the oven being scorched, the oven door glass was also scorched and damaged. I was very lucky that I was still in my kitchen when it caught fire or else I imagine more damage would have occurred to my kitchen and home.
Of course being 3 years old it was no longer under warranty, but from the number of complaints on this same issue with Samsung ranges which not only includes my model number but other Samsung models it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I called Samsung customer service 1-800-726-7864 and told them what happened and they said it was no longer under warranty. I said to them that it looked like a manufacturing defect and was told well manufacturing defects were only covered for 1 year (ridiculous).
The stove is a fire hazard. I unplugged the stove after I got the fire out. Then the Samsung customer service rep I talked to the 3rd time finally said that they would sent an authorized repair service to my home to evaluate the damage. Samsung would pay for the service evaluation and the labor to replace the parts, BUT NOT THE PARTS. Turned out that when the tech took the back off of the stove, it was the wiring harness that had been on fire also, plus the circuit board was damaged and that was just what he could see without taking it apart any further. Turned out the circuit board, the wiring harness and oven heating element parts would be a whopping $420.00. That was just the beginning, then there would be another $60 charge for the tech to come back.
I told the repair service I was not paying for any parts and would not be having the stove repaired and it was ridiculous for me to have to pay anything at all for Samsung's negligence in manufacturing a stove with so many defects. An electric stove should never just catch on fire because the oven was turned on, and the wiring harness shouldn't have caught fire ever. That $1000.00 stove should have lasted more than 3 years. Samsung obviously does not care about their customers, or their well being, and I will never buy another Samsung product. So many of their appliances have exploded, caught on fire that it is ridiculous that these same products continue to be sold to the unsuspecting US public.

There are numerous reviews of this unit stating that the stove burner knobs are poorly designed and can easily be turned on by casually bumping into them. I can attest that this is true. This is why we remove the knobs from the stove when not in use. However, it appears that my unit (NE58F9710WS), with knobs removed, turned on spontaneously and caused a small fire with paper items that were on the stove. There was nobody home at the time, and the damage caused by the fire was minimal. My range hood must be replaced, and smoke damage occurred throughout my home. It could have been much, much worse. So far, Samsung has been cooperative and has agreed to repair the unit and cover the costs of the damage to my home. I hope Samsung takes these claims seriously and provides an updated design that is less likely to cause fires.

On February 4, 2017 we visited P.C. Richard and Son and we replaced all of our kitchen appliances with brand new Samsung appliances. In July while I was cleaning the glass cooktop on the range, which we purchased for $800, I noticed it was cracked. The crack appears to have started on the Rapid Boil burner and extended in all four directions to the edges of the top. I immediately contacted Samsung support, fully expecting that the damage would be repaired as the range was under warranty. With just two of us in the home, the range is lightly used and well cared for.
The customer service agent asked that I send in pictures which I did that afternoon. I received a call from Samsung support looking for the photographs 3 days later – at that point I was told that the pictures would be reviewed and that they would get back to me. Three days later, I received a call from Williston TV and Radio Repair to arrange a time to come out to look at the stove. I expected that Samsung’s agent would be coming to repair the stove, however, when the representative arrived he took more pictures and told me to expect to hear back from Samsung in a few days.
A few days went by and I was contacted by Williston and told that Samsung deemed the damage to be physical and as a result would not be covered under the warranty. I asked what the definition of physical damage entailed, and the definition I was provided was basically everything under the sun – cleaning solutions, inappropriate cookware, abuse, etc. In fact it seems that the definition is setup to protect Samsung even in the event of defect.
Still in shock, I started to research to see if others experienced the same issue and I was surprised to find many complaints posted to sites online all had a similar story. I’ve attached some of the complaints along with our receipt to this letter. After finding that other consumers had a similar experience, I contacted Samsung to ask for a second opinion, I was told that would not possible so I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me that he would put in a work order for another opinion.
Three days later I received a call back from Williston to setup a repair call – I explained that I was looking for a second opinion and was told by the representative that they were the only local Samsung agent and there would be no second opinions. Exasperated I inquired as to the cost to repair the cooktop thinking that a couple of hundred dollars out of pocket would be worth putting an end to this issue. I was informed that the cost to repair the range would be $400 - which is half the cost of range. Even if I pay for the repair, I have no guarantee that the replacement top would not have the same problem because I am convinced that product is defective.
My husband and I have used glass cooktops since the 1980s and have never had a problem. The cookware we use has not changed, how we cook and care for the cooktop including cleaning fluids we use have not changed – and yet within 6 months this cooktop is completely ruined and is unusable and here we are in August and we can only cook using the oven and our microwave. I believe that Samsung has an obligation to stand behind its product and the warranty. I expect Samsung to fix the stove top or replace the range.

We bought a model NE58H9950WS "chef's collection" slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they don't "soak up the heat" but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the oven's ability to reheat.
Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced "everything" but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesn't work and there's nothing you can do about it.
I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. I have contacted Samsung technical service department and they also refuse to take responsibility for the damage door. A new door part number DG94-00223E would cost $350.50. I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and it's been a nightmare. Initially the stove was scratched during installation, so they sent me a new one. The new one sounded like it was about blow up and clicked and clicked. The lady said it was because it's cold in Colorado?! They swapped it out. Then there is the refrigerator. With the first one, the right door wouldn't stay open, so they sent out someone to 'fix' it. After he fixed it, the right door stayed opened, but the left one didn't.
They claimed that's how they are supposed to work for efficiency. No, that's simply not true. They sent a new one. This one had a terrible buzzing and humming sound every time it turned on. They sent me another one. This one was even worse, but the good news is that the doors stayed opened. Clearly how they should work. So, I let them know about the loud sound and they sent me another one. It's the worst one of the three. I'm at a loss. Does Samsung just make a terrible product?
The dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. I always rinse them and make sure there isn't much of anything on them. And it stinks!! I keep the door open, which is annoying. Very very disappointed in the products. This has been going on since I purchased them less than 6 months ago. I have spent hours upon hours trying to talk to someone, emailing, and waiting for my 8 different appointments. I do not recommend their appliances at all. They look good, but not worth the money.

I saw a white powder covering the internal glass, tiny pieces of glass on the bottom. The house was filled with a smoky (didn't smell like burning though). All the windows were opened to clear it. I started an online chat with Samsung. They told me to unplug it and wait for their people to come. That was 4 days ago. I have since had 2 chats and 2 phone calls with Samsung. Still nothing has happened. Last I was told that if I did not hear from them in 2-3 days to call back. That would be a week. Customer service has been unhelpful, unknowledgeable and a waste of time.

Out of nowhere scratches keeps appearing because of daily use. If you pass your fingernails it will leave scratches too and can't take them off. Sucks. Paid almost $3,000 and this is my 2nd week with it. It is a very attractive stove but you can't even get too close just to prevent from getting more scratches or else. Did anyone ever hear of this happening... I woke yesterday morning early to hear crack pop noises in my kitchen. I was flipping scared thinking we had a mouse. So we proceeded to take the stuff from the cupboards out to check, nothing and I still hear the noise. So I'm home alone at this point and decided to get my shoes on and run and prepare for the mouse as I pull out the stove. As I pull out the stove and look behind I see sparks and a little bit of smoke. It's my STOVE SPARKING "Not a mouse." The sparks were coming right from the cord. How scary I almost was electrocuted or could have lost my house in a fire.
Now my house is built in 2006 so wiring is new. The sparks were coming from the stove not my wall outlet... The stove is the Samsung Chef Collection ne58h9970ws. Was only purchased September 15, 2016. Not even a year old. It's all under warranty but dealing with Samsung has been nothing but a nightmare. We have 8 months left on the extended warranty and are looking at replacing the range after just having it for under 3 years as this range is very poor quality - Samsung should stick to making TV's. On July 2016 I purchase all my kitchen appliances from Samsung at Best Buy. Unfortunately it's not a year of purchase and I had a very bad experience which I believe it's not fair for any consumer. First, they advertises that the appliances are stainless steel, which is not. It is hard to clean. On the range side the flat top is also hard to clean and it scratches easily, which it shouldn't happen due to the fact that that is a every day use item with multiple use. I don't accept the fact that they are saying that it is cosmetic and also is tear and wear before a year of purchase. I live alone and barely cook for this to happen. I'm very disappointed with this product and the way that they handle and washes off the responsibility of the quality of their products. This is not an item that costs $100 or less we are speaking of an item that the price is over a $1,000. Unfortunately according to them there is nothing to be done.

Bought a Samsung electric range (NE595R0ABSR) a little over 3 yrs ago and last week the circuit board caught on fire. Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. I will ensure that all Airmen under my command know what horrible customer service Samsung has and how dangerous their products are. I do not want any of them to have to worry about problems from their appliances when they are deployed.

The technician told me this happens all the time; he has to install a new thermostat. It seems that because we used the oven every day one or two times, the igniter was burned out. This is just incomprehensible to us! I also don't like the burners on top of the stove. Two are large burners with lots of BTUs. Both, one more than the other, send flames around even the biggest pot I own. (Think huge stock pot and a large 12" frying pan.) What good are BTUs if you always have the burner on slightly over medium even to heat water for pasta. This stove is very attractive, BUT it is "all show and no go!"

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs.
New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them.
Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Don't know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldn't fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware.
If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowe's had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowe's Hardware, N. Within 2 hrs (the cycle was set for 3), the front display panel went black, and oven stayed locked. After trying to submit a warranty claim, and finding out I was 5 days past the "warranty", I called a repair company. The repairman told me "never use the self-cleaning option as this happens all the time, it causes some temperature sensor to fail and can burn out control boards as well. Lucky for me he was able to disable the oven lock. Again something he says they can't always do and then the door has to be replaced as well.
My previous range was a much more expensive DACOR and I used the self-cleaning feature all the time. The only reason I had to replace the range was because I dropped something on the glass top and the replacement glass was no longer available because the range was 16 YEARS old! According to the repairman it's the way the newer ranges, like this Samsung, are now made and he told me again not to use this feature. Why buy a self-cleaning stove and can't use it??? I have had the repairman out twice (as he thought it may be the boards) and I'm now waiting for the temperature sensor to come so he can install. Months of frustration with a ridiculous repair process. We purchased a Samsung electric range as part of a package of appliances from Lowe's for our home in Florida in July of 2016. We soon learned that the temperature in the oven was not being maintained properly. We found out that Lowe's would not replace and that we needed to go through Samsung for repairs. We have now have had repair people visit 7 times and have had all electrical components replaced three times. Meantime we do not have an oven that works and have wasted all that time dealing with repair people and service technicians at Samsung that do not have a clue. Hundreds of reviews have been written regarding the same issue with these ovens. I am ready to take part in a class action suit/massive recall effort to force the miserably incompetent people at Samsung (think Galaxy Seven Smart Phone) to take appropriate action.
In related items we separately purchased a Samsung TV that randomly failed after just two weeks while no one was in the room. Thankfully, Best Buy (unlike Lowe's) took a stand and replaced the unit free of charge. Lastly, a craftsman was working at our house and overheard a conversation that I was having with Samsung one day. He told me that he had been a Samsung repair person for four years and finally quit his position because the processes and information that Samsung uses were so bad he was embarrassed. I'm not sure if Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is still the CEO of Samsung, but he should be the most embarrassed of anyone. Under his leadership a once honored company is now an incompetent laughing stock. I was cooking with my pot on the stove when I heard a pop. I removed my pot and saw a crack glass and indentation mark on my pot. The stove range I used on was the RAPID BOIL side from picture, which need to handle the temperature flux it experience. The crack surface has shattered glass and fine glass dust. I seen crack, shattered glass pictures due to physical damages on Consumer Affairs and other websites for Samsung stove and mine look nothing like that. It is clearly a material properties failure and an engineering mistake.
I reported my problems to Samsung and told them I'm scared to use the stove as it is unsafe to operate and it's also what they suggested until they receive the images and send out technician, which they said will take 2-3 days to review. I sent the pics and wait, hear nothing from them for a week so I call them back. A new agent review my transaction id # and told me that the previous agent close accident close my case. So he issue me a new transaction id and said he will escalate with the supervisor to get it resolve ASAP, and I resent the pictures again. My family been eating out and frozen foods during this ordeal.
I call back the next day and nothing happen, so I have to retell my whole problem again to the 3rd agent which went ahead issue me a ticket number with the local technician to take a look at the problem. To bring out this technician, I will have to pay out of my own pocket if it is a cosmetic problem. So today I was going to call the local technician guy to schedule an appointment but Samsung finally call back and said they deny the warranty issue without reviewing the pics. They said they haven't receive the pictures, which I sent TWICE. Now, I'm trying to schedule with a technician and see where it goes from there. I will follow up with updates.
UPDATE ON 03/31/2017: After millions of phone call and countless agents. Scamsung tactics of denying picture not receiving, "We have to hang up on you because we cannot leave you the phone for too long," "A supervisor will call you back." So the first technician never came out because all he does is just take pictures. He requested I sent the pictures to him via text message, so I sent him 4 pictures. I called in Samsung to check my status, they deny the warranty on Mar 20 on the basis "No load/min load using an aluminum cookware with enamel coating." They saying the pot I was cooking in was empty, I was the cooker and there were stuff inside the pot, who cook an empty pot. Aluminum cookware, isn't all Americans use aluminum cookware, but I found out that they use whatever words I misstated in the phone conversation against me.
I realized the pot I was cooking on was not aluminum, but actually steel, I tested it with a magnet. So I called back in and was able to reach a manager on the shop floor. And explain the whole process again to her that this was a material defect, I was using RAPID BOIL setting on left side of the stove. The crack was due to the high heat fluctuation and the glass couldn't handle the temperature due to the expansion of material. Further into the conversation, she agree to issue a service repair for the stove due to "spontaneous pop while cooking." She scheduled Monday to have a third-party vendor to come out and repair, but all he did was come out and take picture, the same as the first time. Or so I thought he would come out and repair on Monday, Mar 27. But all he did was take a picture on his cracked phone in a dark kitchen room.
I thought they issue the repair service for labor and part, called in. And of course it would be different agents every time and from different region. They would say, "Let's wait for the pictures" and basically they take me a whole loop again, back to square one. I was able to reach an ECR Leena Mar 28 (executive customer relation, someone actually had the power to help) and she told me only 2 of my pictures were uploaded and that from that pictures it was a discoloration damage. I was confused that she can't even see the crack bits and pieces. So she asked me to send in the picture directly to her to review. Pictures were sent to her, and she is downloading it to her computer. She told me the downloading it is take too long, she has to hang up on me and another agent will contact me.
Never happen, it's always you to have to call in. And again, you have to explain everything but this new ECR agent Karla Mar 29 didn't bother to listen and just outright say my warranty was deny using the denial from Mar 20 instead of reviewing the conversation I have on Mar 28. I asked her, "Let me talk to someone that will listen and want to help me out." Remember that the services was offer from the Shop Floor Manager, but they kept saying, "It's not on record," "I can't find it," "I don't know who you were talking to." So Karla told me that a supervisor will call me back in 24-48 hours, no one call me yet. I don't expect to and tired of dealing with them.
At first I want a repair, now I rather replace it with a different brand. After exploding Note 7, exploding washer and dryer, exploding oven cover, I'm glad my glass top was crack instead explode, but it could happen to someone else. Scamsung afraid of another massive recall on using low quality glass top material so they deny my warranty. This product is unsafe and should take off from store shelve. I'm willing to join class action lawsuit against Scamsung, contact me. While all this happen, just found out my Scamsung refrigerator that I bought at the same time, the water and ice dispenser stop working, need to replace the control panel/switch. Save yourself from trouble and don't buy another Scamsung products. My range model was NE59J7630S.

We purchased this range on sale for $3400 (regularly $4200) in September, 2016. We'd previously bought a gas range, and soon realized that - as seniors - we'd made a poor choice on the basis of open fires and safety. Sears was kind enough to exchange the range for a much safer Samsung induction/electric range. Although this range is still under warranty, Samsung's response to the problems we've encountered with it has been disappointing. Curiously, the model number of this range is difficult to find online; instead, other model numbers pop up.
(Some background: We're familiar with induction cooking. We previously owned a Toshiba induction range with which we were very satisfied. We moved house approximately eight months after buying our Toshiba range; the range became part of the sale. The induction-suitable, magnet-attracting Queen's Cookware pots we own worked well on our Toshiba induction stove top.)
Our Samsung range has three issues: Samsung's induction stovetop will not work with our Queens Cookware pots. Samsung's manual states: "Cookware is suitable for induction cooking if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware and the cookware is labeled as suitable by the cookware manufacturer." When we complained that our Queens Cookware pots didn't work on Samsung's stovetop, Samsung offered no reply. We wrote Queen's Cookware, which in turn sent us a letter confirming that their pots should work with induction stovetops. Sears sent a repairman who said only that the problem with Samsung's stovetop was an "engineering issue." We've since switched to a different brand of pots.
The timer of Samsung's range is so soft. We can barely hear it. The same repair man agreed the timer was difficult to hear, but said it is what it is. It's the timer this model provides, with no modulation. The range's oven is a major problem. Both my husband and I are experienced cooks. Baking failed in this oven - over and over. Muffins and cakes didn't brown and were unbaked in the centre, or - when I allowed them to cook longer - they burned (an issue not helped by the model's faint timer bell). After months of this, the penny dropped that we should compare the displayed temperature to the temperature shown by an free-standing thermometer. We quickly saw that the temperature on the free-standing thermometer was at times 50 deg. F. higher than the temperature shown by the oven's "set dial."
Last week, my husband spent 30 min. on the phone with Samsung. Thirty minutes! The woman at the end of the line said it was "normal" for the temperature of an oven to differ from its set dial. She said a store-bought thermometer would register the temperature of our oven as 100 deg. F. lower than the temperature on its set dial! As my repeated baking failures with this oven showed, the issue is not with the store-bought oven thermometer, but with the oven itself.
She recommended that we record the ongoing temperature differences to draw up a "calibration chart." This meant that if we wanted the oven to cook at 325 F., we should set it at a different temperature according to the chart we drew up. I was outraged. Not only did I feel designing such a chart was ridiculous and should be unnecessary, but the oven's temperature (on both regular bake and convection bake) fluctuates up and down. After getting nowhere with this woman, she finally gave my husband the name of the local repair service that had previously visited our home.
A different repair man arrived. He told us that "all ovens now work this way," adding that we would have to buy "a much more expensive brand" to ensure the temperature on the set dial matched the oven's true temperature after its preheating ended. He said he couldn't do much for us, but pressed two buttons simultaneously (first 1, then broil) to increase the oven's internal temperature by 50 deg. F. He said he didn't recommend increasing the temperature any further. He recommended that we wait 30-to-40 min. (after the time bell indicated the oven was fully heated) before putting any baking in the oven. He said that waiting this long would allow the oven to reach the temperature on its set dial.
I tried that this morning, setting the oven to "regular bake" at 325 deg. F. When the timer dinged, my oven thermometer stated the oven had actually reached 290 deg. F. It took a further 10 min. for the oven to climb to 325 F. rather than the 30-to-40 min. the repair man had recommended. I suspect this time varies with the oven's setting. Is this acceptable? I don't know, but I sure don't like it. I expect better from a $3400 induction range. I will never buy another Samsung product.

We purchased a package deal at hhgregg in November 2015 including a Microwave Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, and Gas Range. We are not at all satisfied with the range. We had the range service twice in August 2016 due to inaccurate temperature control. Each time they replaced the thermostat, and the also the control board on the second visit.
Believing this was an anomaly and no need purchase an extended warranty, we let the warranty expire in November. In February 2017, we began to experience the same issues. The temperature would not stay within the prescribed/published range, the oven would not light when following the proper use methods, and despite following the directions in the manual, the problem persisted. We contact the service department and they sent a tech on March 2, 2017. He had never seen the problem we were experiencing before, contacted tech support and they told him to replace the control board. So now I must wait another week for the board to arrive and be installed.
The warranty is expired and despite my protest that they replace the board in August, and it correct failure should be covered, they refuse to do so. Now it cost me $90 for the assessment and another $90 for the next installation service call plus the $150-$200 for the board. When I contacted Samsung they said sorry, nothing they could do. So my message to Samsung, "Go to hell." I will bad mouth your product line until I take my last breath. Planned obsolescence is no way to build a future in the U.S. market. We are not fools.

Samsung NE59K3310 Electric Range - Just bought it brand new from Lowe's and the oven never gets up to the set temperature. When the beeps ring out that it is at set temp we only get 200 degrees and wait for over 15 minutes to get to 335 degrees. We bought an oven temperature gauge to test it. I followed the factory adjustment procedure and increased it by 15 degrees. Now the oven takes 30min to get to 350 degrees but drops to under 300 degrees within five minutes and doesn't come back up. Before I called to get it fixed I googled Samsung ovens and find so many defective units. It's mind boggling. I have decided to return it to Lowe's and buy a GE, Whirlpool, Maytag or ANYTHING else. The other problem is the amount of pressure it takes to activate the controls. Being male with no fingernails makes it easier, but my darling has to use her knuckle to press to get enough pressure to activate the controls.

We purchased a new Samsung Gas Range (top of the line!). Purchased the extended warranty as we usually do! We had the stove delivered in time to cook our Thanksgiving turkey in it! We were disappointed to find a 'glitch' that would not allow the oven to heat past the 'pre-heat' built in setting of 175' UNLESS we turned on a range top burner! We figured this out ourselves! We called Samsung for repair, and we're given a 'work order' and said 'someone' would call soon to set up a date to 'check it' out! Well it turned out that I had to call back as no one called me! They never apologized, but assured me that someone would call soon. Days went by and no call! The Samsung operator finally gave me the # for Lake Electric stating that they were an 'authorized' repair business for Samsung.
Finally someone called me and made an appointment for a date almost a week away! I reminded them that it was the holidays, and I had already had to cancel my Thanksgiving get together due to the lack of a STOVE! Now Christmas was coming and again I would have to beg off and have my daughter do the cooking! This was becoming crazy, and disappointing to say the least! The repairman finally came and assured me (after hours of work!) that he had found the problem and had fixed it! Wow! What a relief! After he left I tried to turn on the oven, and again could only attain the pre-set 175' UNLESS we lit the top of the gas range (on at least one burner!). The oven proceeded to heat properly, and quickly (as it 'should'). The next day we smelled gas, my husband shut off the gas line, and we started the process over again, and I assure you customer service had not improved!
The woman at SAMSUNG was 'curt' and almost rude 'ie' "We have a work order that work was done recently on that range." I said, "Yep, that is true, now we have a gas leak lady, gas and did not want to risk an EXPLOSION!" She did not apologize again, and merely said, the same pre-written instructions concerning repair work! It went on and on for weeks, and was considering offering the repairman a cot in the kitchen, and he agreed, but when I told him I had demanded a manager was told that they get '3' chances to fix an 'in warranty' appliance before the 'replacement' or money back could be given! I told him, "OK, but I'm keeping track!" It turned out that the problem was NOT fixed, so the repairman was in my house for FOUR times, but of course the one time 'gas leak' call would require them 'starting over' on the '3 times and out' rule!
Finally the last time the man came out he replaced 5 'parts' (on a brand new stove)! And a couple were due to 'bad' parts (so that wasn't Samsung's fault!). I was required to give them one more chance! So the this being the last time we were going to accept this terrible customer service, we said "Sure, send him out one more time!" The repairman came out puzzled as ever, and spoke to the SAMSUNG TECH GUY on the phone, all the while taking pictures and sending them to him! So the repairman declared it working and left hoping never to see our house again! And lo and behold, it actually worked FOR A WEEK, then guess what? The same problem again' the oven wouldn't heat over 175, so I lit off a burner and sure enough the oven temp progressed to the promised 350'!!!
I cooked my meatloaf then realized that it wasn't done in the center after the 1hour and 10 minutes, so I stuck it back in, and after setting the table and everything else out on the table I check the oven and realized it was barely warm! Then looked and noticed that my hubby had turned off the burner on the cook top as he smelled gas! So the oven just stopped too! NUTS! We called for the repair service (and had to go through the less than cooperative customer service reps).
This time a new repairman showed up with NEW PARTS in hand, so I told him the 'history' of this beautiful but unproductive appliance, he said, "Let's get the Tech on the phone and see what he thinks." He again talked to him for a LONG time and asked me if I had all the repair notes, I said, "Oh yes, I have them ALL." He looked through them and read them to the SAMSUNG TECH who then said, "This is crazy. This range needs to go back to the factory!" He then gave me a paper with the number (evidently to be guarded with my life and my next grandchild's life!) which gives us the right to send this thing back to the hell it came from! DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS! YOU WILL BE SORRY!
Updated 03/07/2017: If you saw my last post describing our 'terrible' experience since we purchased our Samsung range, just wanted to 'follow-up ' and tell you that after much time (we bought it in Nov.) and many 'repairman' trips to replace parts over and over and over, I finally demanded my money back, and although customer service is the worst ever, with the help of Bob at my Home Depot I am getting my money back, so I can buy a range that works! But even after being given a 'code' indicating that their 'Tech' guy decided it was not fixable, they called to say that a 'repair order' had been sent in! I said "OH NO YOU DON'T! I requested my money back and you have already surpassed your 3 repairs and you're out." I believe they were trying to get someone on my property again, thereby starting the '3 tries' rule all over!
I called 'Bob' at Home Depot who calmed me down and promised to try to contact someone who could solve this! He called back and said "they are saying it was an error" (the phone call trying to set up another service date after 5 times with no results)! I told him that I had posted on Consumer Affairs and saw many others with similar problems, some exactly like mine! Yesterday Bob (Home Depot) called and asked if I had received an e-mail yet from Samsung verifying I would get my money back! I answered "NO and I still can't use my oven." (the Tech told us NOT to use it at all) Bob got back into it again, and called to tell me to call a certain px.number in order to proceed with the refund (no one had told ME that!).
Long story, even longer, they agreed I would be getting my money in the form of a check soon! (AFTER an email explaining the process!) We shall see! In the meantime PLEASE avoid SAMSUNG PRODUCTS! By the way, customer service WILL try to finagle you into an 'exchange'. Don't take it! As they will just bring you another 'bad' oven, demand your money back! GE makes one that has many of the same features, and actually 'better' ones! like a REAL second oven, not a super heavy 'shelf' you have to insert in order to utilize the 'second' oven. But otherwise the same, without the blue lights on the gas knobs (nice feature and possibly why I opted for the Samsung) but G.E. cafe has 'auto locks' on the knobs so no one accidentally bumps the knob into the 'on' position'! Not as pretty at night, but just as safe!

Called Samsung again and the same repairman came out but said he needed to order a thermometer. 3rd visit he said it was working, but temps dropped about 25 degrees, then rose over 30 degrees. He said this is how ovens work. The oven is still not fixed but at the end of Jan they are sending another repairman. The saga continues. What a poor product and customer service. All this happened within the first time we used the oven. The side by side refrigerator started leaking water and won't stop leaking (water dispenser). Samsung sent out repairman for the range-oven, ordered parts then came back out to finish repairs, tried to use oven again, oven went up in smoke again. SoCalGas Co. came out and RED-tagged the Range-Oven. So far Samsung has blamed us for all the problems. We had to hire an attorney to handle this mess. My range stopped working on January 12th. I called Samsung. I was told there isn't a warranty and that they don't support their products for more than a year. If I spend a few thousand dollars on an appliance, I expect better. The person I spoke to was rude and short and basically said "tough". I know getting those calls from unhappy customers isn't always fun, but usually manufacturers of product take pride in their work and stand behind it. It is what it is.
Turns out a wire, for some reason shorted out on 12th of January. My range is 2.5 years old. When that happened, the techs ordered some parts thinking it was the terminal that blew (guess it happens a lot). They had to order parts. They came out on January 18th and guess what? It wasn't the terminal. It was a short in a wire. But also the "motherboard" blew out.
They ordered a new one and came back on January 20th, but the new board fresh out of the box, was cracked and didn't work. So they ordered another one. They came today, January 25th and that board, fresh out of the box was cracked also. I have been without a working range for 2 weeks now! I contacted Samsung about their less than stellar quality of parts and they informed me it was the service techs were not Samsung Authorized. Ha! They sure are. I am not opposed to paying for service. It's like a new car, you have to have service it. For me it's about the quality of the product.
I have never in my life been so disappointed in a product I purchased. I am so deeply discouraged in this company right now. How can Samsung, in good faith promote a product that only last a couple years? Then all of the parts that have been ordered are broken also? That's wrong. The less than acceptable quality portrayed by Samsung is completely unacceptable.
The moral of the story is this. I will never again purchase a Samsung Product. I will not recommend it to a friend and I will not give a 5 star rating to this kind of support, service or quality. I am telling everyone I know to never invest in Samsung. You do not stand behind your products. The quality of the product is less than stellar and consumers deserve better. I deserve better!

According to the repairman it's the way it's made and was told not to use this feature. How silly is that? Why buy a self cleaning stove and can't use it??? I tested it again while still under warranty and it did it again for a second time. I am calling Samsung for a full refund. Either way I will surely be running the self cleaning feature more times before the warranty runs out. They will be paying the repair people as much as it takes until warranty is out.

When we moved from a townhouse to a condo we purchased all new appliances, one of which was a Samsung induction range. The range was delivered in August 2016 and we finally had it removed in December 2016. Over that time we had to have three on site repair visits and would have had to have a fourth if the unit had not been removed. The stove top worked fine until one day we heard a loud pop and a fuse blew. Two of the burners had to be replaced. The oven was a disaster. It did not work more often than it actually worked. Most often what would happen is that we would put something in the oven and then the control panel at the front of the stove would stop working. No amount of touching of buttons would make the thing work.
We ended up throwing out more food than we actually were able to cook. Samsung service is terrible. They insist on starting any conversation with a web chat. Then you need to call an 800 number to get a repair scheduled. Then you need to work with the repair company. Everyone points fingers at everyone else. Finally we had to get the store that we purchased the unit from to work with the Samsung rep who finally agreed to replace the unit (with another brand). I would not recommend a Samsung range.

First time in 20 years. I am sick that I had to do so now that I have had to experience complete failure in my new products. I went through 5 new stoves and returned them for one reason or another. Lowe's was amazing in their desire to be sure I was satisfied. I eventually settled for the Samsung because I thought the small oven and the convection feature would be good.
I am 62 years old and started cooking when I was 8. I have never in my entire life burned as many things as I have burned with this cook top in the past 4 months of ownership. I cannot control the temperature so I have to cook absolutely everything on the lowest setting and stand over the stove while it is cooking. The ovens just completely stopped working today and I have no idea why. Before the ovens quit working, the fans blew in my oven and overcooked half of the food I would bake and under cook the other side of it. I NEVER EVER get the stove top clean, EVER. I use the products made just for the smooth top and all it does is smudge. I am way too frustrated after 5 stoves and then spending what I consider a fortune on this stove to even consider calling service people if I will not be able to understand them. I went to the place I purchased the machine, because I had a warranty with them. They came, and they verified the stove had gone on fire. The company I purchased this from is taking care of the issue that Samsung should have taken care of. This is reprehensible on the part of Samsung Customer Service. Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. Of course Samsung will not acknowledge that there is a problem with this unit doing this. Leon's Furniture (where I bought it from) will not accept any responsibility either. They (Samsung) is now telling us that the consumer needs at least 3 inches on each side of the range for clearance (who in the heck would build an opening that huge for their range and it would also be aesthetically ugly) and how stupid would that look for a slide in range (the glass top would not sit on top of the counter then??). Then the next excuse is that you should pull your range out every time you self-clean... really?? (Not with my bad back!) Strange that in every distributor that sells this range such as Lowe's, Home Depot, Leon's that their display models do not have a huge 3 in gap on both sides of the range, can you say FALSE ADVERTISING!
Before I bought this monstrosity I had a Kenmore slide in range and never, EVER, did I have a "high heat/scalding to the touch" issue with it, it never caused damage to the surrounding cupboards either. Beware of this extremely dangerous product and most of all they (Samsung) will take your money but they surely don't care if they damage your newly remodeled kitchen. Warning... keep children and pets away from this dangerous product. I now see why they have so many complaints about phones, dryers and now stoves. At least stand behind your product if they damage a consumer's property!

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has "no record" of my problem. Over a month ago Samsung's repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback.
I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and can't do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements won't work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

Purchased a stove and refrigerator in June. Have already had 5 service calls on the fridge due to an error code that keeps popping up. Last week I used the self cleaning feature on the stove. Once it ran through the cycle I noticed the control panel was not working and the stainless was brown. Called Samsung Galaxy who put me in touch with service quick. After I called and left a message and waited 2 days. Another week for the appointment. The service tech never called to confirm and I waited all day. He arrived and change gedanken out a part but the cosmetic damage was not repaired. He had to call Samsung to get approval. Now he has to come back for another service call. Horrible service department.

Bought a gas cooking range year ago, gas is leaking from somewhere inside the oven. They have a worst customer service. They want customer to spend money on repairs, seems like, they are making money from there as well.

We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no it's a defective finish.
We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said it's cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, I'm really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.

I bought a Samsung Range under a year ago and have been having problems with it ever since. When using the oven, it heats my cabinets, knobs, walls, over the range microwave, and exterior portions of the range to over 160 degrees. When using the oven the stove knobs are too hot to even turn on the stove top. We called Samsung and they immediate sent out a service technician. The tech said the area was getting extremely warm but the range was working properly. We again called Samsung because we are unable to use this unsafe product in our home and they were very rude and not concerned about our safety, but agreed to send another tech out. Second tech, said it was getting warm and that’s how ovens work and left. I know for a fact that this is NOT how ovens work.
My cabinets and over the range microwave are nearly too hot to open when the oven is on. My neighbor has the exact same range and hers is not operating this way, so I know there is an issue with mine. We are not able to use this oven at this point due to safety issues as my husband has already received burns. Samsung is not willing to resolve this issue and that is unacceptable, especially because it is still under warranty.

We purchased a Samsung glass cooktop stove. Three months after our purchase the glass top cracked. The crack occurred the second time I used the burner. I noticed the crack the next morning when I went to dust the cooktop. A KitchenAid repair person told us, that this happens occasionally with glass cooktops. Glass can have bubbles, etc... This repair is covered under their warranty. Samsung however considers this physical damage and their warranty does not cover "physical damage". Nothing bumped the stove or fell on top of the cooktop. We have had a glass cooktop for twenty years, so it took me a while to understand what this meant.
Regardless of what is wrong or if there is a defect in the product that results in physical damage, then it is not warranted. I am amazed that they can get away with this. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product and plan to report this to every consumer protection agency I can reach. This is definitely a buyer beware organization. Nowhere in the literature does it say that. I called Sears and Samsung multiple times in two days. If I plugged it in and the rest of the machine works, it's not me plugging it in wrong! Samsung's customer service, or lack thereof makes me wish I could return this and put my old rusty one back. Don't buy from Samsung! Especially if you plug it in yourself! How ridiculous! Or perhaps replace the specific part for two hundred dollars and just hope it doesn't just keep happening? Which clearly it will with all of the people having similar experiences.
The previous oven they had lasted my parents 20 years! What's worse is that they purchased a matching Samsung washer, dryer, and microwave. Who knows when those are gonna break or blow up? As of right now I plan to contact an attorney, this is happening to way too many people for Samsung to not do a better job of helping. Why are these appliances still being sold to people??? We bought ours at Best Buy who of course are more than happy to take their money for another oven. My parents are older and they aren't gonna get online and research this stuff. We purchased our Samsung Induction range in Jan 2015. Within a couple of weeks we got an error message which made no sense but nothing on the range worked. As this was under the one year warranty I called Samsung. After several days and several calls I was informed there were no Samsung certified repair people within a three-hour radius. I called Calgary and was told by a Samsung certified repairman they get calls from all over the province but will not leave the city. I returned to Sears where I purchased the range. They were willing to replace the range but asked if I would allow them to arrange their service people to come out, which they did. No stove for three weeks as the entire electrical panel had to be replaced. Fortunately at this time I purchased five year extended warranty through Sears.
We now have issues with the oven. For no reason, mid cycle/baking the oven puts out an error message (silent) and the range does not work. On one occasion it just stopped working without an error message. Thank goodness I don't have to try to get a repairman... Sears will send out their technician. I have read complaints about cleaning the glass top. I clean with soap and water. Dry it then spray with Weimar cooktop cleaner. It does a great job and my cooktop is still looking good. If you have an induction range and you find a stainless steel pan doesn't work, you likely have one of two problem. Some stainless steel pans have additional metals in them which will cause them not to work and the other is a warped bottom. I deeply regret buying this range and given Samsung phones catching fire and the clothes washer lids blowing off... I will never buy any Samsung products.

Don't buy Samsung Ranges. I brought the chef collection 30" last year and within two months had to exchange it for another. After four technicians later and new computer boards, they finally replaced it with a new one. The range would go on by itself and the only way to shut it off was the main switch in the basement. So far so good until one day I was making a sandwich for lunch and heard this loud cracking. I didn't know where it was coming from so that night when I started dinner I realized it was the cooktop that cracked. I wasn't using it, the range was off. This is most bizarre. How can this happen? Well I looked up on this consumer site and apparently I'm not the first person. So there's got to be a defect right? Maybe a recall is in order.
When I called Samsung they said they would extend my warranty but I needed a tech to come out to make sure it wasn't caused by physical damage. Okay a tech came out and clearly wrote that it was not caused by physical damage and reported that to Samsung. I called them to see what happens next and they claim I need a second opinion and more pictures. They forwarded more pics and Samsung said it was caused by physical damage and I wasn't covered by the warranty.
I asked a customer relations person who can I talk to that can help me. She said "an executive customer service person, but they only have outgoing calls, you will have to wait until they call you." That person called me today and left a message and told me according to the pictures it was physical damage. So I guess they are calling me a liar. I'm not done with them yet, but they are the lowest of the low companies that screw people right and left. Their customer service is full of abrasive people that will not help me. Thankfully the shards of glass held intact and did not fall in. As per my manual the glass top was covered for 5 years. I call extended warranty that had expired and found out that this was common occurrence with samsung stoves. I register a complaint with Samsung customer service and as per the guy who spoke he will send a service tech to inspect cause as it was still under warranty. I was asked to email pictures which I promptly did.
After living 1 week without stove I follow up and was transferred to Executive customer service and the lady who spoke was really rude. She checked my email as I am on phone after asking for date and case # etc and right away says that claim is rejected because it is physical damage and after repeated questioning too could not explain physical damage and proceeded to say it was my fault. I said I'll sue them and she goes on to say I could and send me the response in email as I asked that for legal purposes. She cuts me off and emails that it is my fault hence not covered. I call again and fight my way through the same BS Executive customer service and convince other guy to open new case and send pictures from different angles.
After dealing with them for 3 weeks an hour each time on phone they say they cannot honour the warranty and say it is cosmetic scratches that caused the break. We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.
15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had "Samsung validated the receipt" - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to "access and take a picture" to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes "yes, the door glass is defective" and leaves.
It's now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. I've reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one can't get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

Follow up; my frustrating experience with all of our Samsung appliances. Stove Model NE58F97. Fridge Model RF267. Washer WF 328 and Dryer DV 328. Stove has a previous review in Feb. The amount of issues with this stove warrants action by consumers. Doesn't cook! Burns, dries out, undercooks food and anything with fat under high heat will be sucked through the convection fan and turn into a smoking mess. Will not broil anything, try and broil a steak, you'll be sorry. The only way you are going to bake a potato is to place it directly on the lower stove element and turn it once. That's how bad the cooking is.
This stove is all flash with zero engineering or consumer testing. The glass top ($); well seems everyone is having problems with the top. Too fragile period! I will be replacing my top after a 1 ounce salt shaker nicked the edge. Looked like an innocent looking edge chip but the first time the large burner was turned on it shattered the top. Design flaw or purpose built? You be the judge, looks suspect to me. Wonder how many glass tops were made? The shelving is horrible, we had an incident in previous review where the locking sliding shelf would lock into place randomly. Looked locked in but wasn't. Rest of shelving just falls to bottom with any weight. Really bad on lower half of stove. Dangerous! Burns! Damaged ovenware! Really! Burners are all over the place with heat regulation. Zero simmering capabilities, goes from no heat to blast furnace.
Ruined many high quality stainless pans and Revere Ware to the point they are unusable (warped). Way too hot on high settings. Multi burner has multiple control issues. I do not bake cake goods but I can just imagine the problems with that because it can barely cook a pizza. Warming drawer is worthless (low setting too hot) and makes loud banging noises from heat expansion. Do not open this stove without turning your head away, the steam that shoots out of the front of this stove is dangerous. Cooling fan was dead quiet now has annoying high pitch. So it will not cook, it's dangerous, will destroy your property and you will need a new top ($500) around every two years if you are lucky. This is my personal experience. Please if anyone has had a good one let us know!
Fridge, well the fridge has performed fair but here's the list. Ice maker way under powered. Has been replaced once under warranty ($). Struggles to dispense or crush ice. Interior shelving horrible. Folding and sliding shelves have a mind of their own and continually cause items to fall out of fridge. Folding shelf was stiff so we tried to stay away from using it. Broke ($) at hinges 3rd time we used it. Front lowest edge of shelf is rounded without lip. Stuff slides off shelf onto floor. Fresh drawer broke the 2nd time ($) we cleaned it. Just hangs loose now. Freezer will occasionally go into steroid defrost mode and you will have an inch of frost on everything (normally a 16th of an inch).
Washer does good job washing but screams horribly on any fill cycle. Sign they used cheap plastic on their water fill valves ($) and calcium buildup is slowly clogging it. Washer has the load leveling feature ($) which has gotten sloppier. Dryer does well but occasionally acts like the sensor ($) is going and will leave a damp load.
I won't buy any of their products again. They got too big too fast and have turned into company that needs profits and have designed their appliances to be cash cows (that is what the dollar sign represents in this review) for their parts and repair business and affiliates. I purchased my stove through the internet from Goedeker's in St. Louis, MO in 2014 and paid $1800. I will not bother with their customer service, they have to be overwhelmed and under corporate pressure to not honor their product from what I have read. Stay far away from their products and good luck finding anything of quality out there today. Our own fault we let this go on.

Samsung FE710DRS/XAA Range. This range was built-in 2011 and we bought it in 2012. For the first year, it worked fine. Unfortunately, within a week or so of the warranty ending, the center element of the three element right front burner stopped working. Per Sears: We had to replace the front element AND the burner control switch, since one of them caused the other to stop working. In other words, the Sears technician didn't know which came first, the chicken or the egg! But! They were both bad! Unless! As he then added, "Unless the controller is defective, in which case you'll have to replace it too!" Cost? Over $400. We decided to live without the center element, after all the middle and outer elements were working fine.
AND THEN! Six months or so later, while my wife was baking the Christmas Turkey, the controller declared that the range was suffering an E-27 error! Naturally, I got out the operator manual! So! I turned off the circuit breaker as instructed! And the range worked. Until the next time. After that, every time we used the oven, we got either an E-27 error or an E-0A error. E-0A meaning that the oven was too hot.
Naturally, Sears told us that we had to replace the oven temperature sensor and almost certainly the controller as well, since it PROBABLY was defective. Cost over $400! We decided to live with the E-27 and E-0A errors since turning the circuit breaker off and back on "fixed" the problem long enough that we could finish baking whatever we were baking. Unless, of course, my wife or daughter was baking a cake. Which is to say that if the controller declared an E-27 or E-0A error, the cake would be ruined.
And then! The 2-element front left burner decided to operate at FULL POWER no matter where the burner control knob was set. Naturally, my wife found out that the hard way, as in: She left the kitchen to answer a phone call, while simmering vegetables for a soup, only to suddenly see smoke pouring from the kitchen! That was the last straw! So! We started looking for another range. BUT! The Samsung had one last nasty trick up its sleeve! The right rear burner "OPENED" while I was heating water.
Just in case you don't know what "OPENED" means, as applied to an "electrical device", it means that a conductor, as in a piece of wire (the wire in the burners of all-electric ranges are conductors) separated, in a spectacular fashion, as in: SPARKS and loud POPPING NOISES! No, it didn't blow the 50-amp breaker, but it kept right on sparking and popping for about a minute, when the wire in the burned finally "pulled apart", which OPENED the circuit. AND SO NOW, we were down to one burner working properly, the left rear burner, one burner that was dead, the right rear burner, one burned that was "limping", the right front burner, and one burner that would only work at full power.
To be perfectly frank, I would not have a Samsung range if Samsung offered to give me one for free! AND! To be perfectly frank, I am not in the least surprised that Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 smartphones have batteries that can explode. I was so excited to purchase this item for my new kitchen remodel last year. I made the purchase in March 2015, believe it was delivered in June 2015. The stove was installed in July 2015 and began use in August 2015. I am out of warranty. The first time I used the "self-clean" mode, the control panel died and the oven remained locked. I contacted Samsung, who arranged "out of warranty" service. The stove broke on Friday, service was today (Wednesday). After the technician detached the oven from my grout and backsplash, he determined the thermostat went bad. I paid my $79 service fee and he is ordering the part.
Technician is concerned as to what caused the thermostat, saying ideally he'd replace the control board, the fan, and the sensor so that he doesn't end up back. I contacted Samsung, very upset with this clear defect. I get the "Sorry you are dissatisfied, but you are out of warranty." 15 years I had a Kenmore... never had a problem... ready to go back! DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT, CLEARLY NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY!!

Went to Lowe's, where I bought it, and showed them pictures. They immediately replaced the bad one. It is 11 months later and I have the same problem, cracked cooktop. I called Samsung as it is still on warranty. Tech came to my home and told me he thought it would be approved. He showed Samsung a video of the stove in real time. Without any dialogue Samsung denied the warranty saying it was customer abuse. I have 4 other Samsung products but this will be my last.

I purchased this dual oven convection range in July 2015. I have read the manual for tips on how to bake properly, no help. I attempted repositioning racks for regular baking, convection baking. Nothing mattered. Biscuits are burned on the bottom and white on top. Angel food cake was overdone on one side and not done on the other. Cakes are a flop. I love to bake and have baked successfully for fifty years.
Called service; they are not knowledgeable of the product and outright lie. They rescheduled a visit by repair and they never showed up. I called back; same with complaints, no return visit. The only thing the repairman did was flash a beam to read the temperature at entry point. Said "everything is ok; but I'll replace a board". This did absolutely nothing. I'm back to a range top with no way to bake bread, cakes or pies. This range cost $1299.00. All I want is to be able to use the appliance without ruining everything I try to cook. I bought an oven thermometer to gauge temperature. Set on 350 degrees, the lower rack read 200 degrees. I would gladly return this range to purchase one that gets the job done. Is there any recourse other than suing Samsung? I'm at my wits end, this purchase was no doubt the worst choice I've made in my life.

Because I now have smoke coming out of the control panel when I bake in the lower, and because the lower oven is making the same sounds that the top made just before going out, it looks like I will have to replace the range. I won't make the same mistake in purchase. I won't buy from a box and I won't purchase Samsung.

Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is "working up to the specifications of the manufacturer's design" then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?
Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears' repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said "why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.")
A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we won't try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing.
You say "There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit." That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasn't here when it only went to 345, he hasn't been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, he'll tell you what's what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We aren't going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. We'll see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.

Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a 'heat crack' (isn't this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumer's fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

I bought the Samsung dual flex because of the flex zones which seemed amazing. Well, let me tell you, the thing is very difficult to use. No more just turning the knob and having the oven on. Everything requires several steps which is frustrating when you are busy cooking and don't have a whole minute to program the oven. It seems petty until you are doing it.
Worse is the lack of quality. My previous range was a 30 year old JennAir. A burner went out and the repair was $120. I should have repaired it. This Samsung is junk. We only cook 1-2 times per week with the stove (have an electric pressure cooker and infrawave we use a lot) and my son was trying to turn on the burner and it made a loud pop, the lights in the house flickered and it tripped the 50 amp breaker!
I called Samsung right away. Their service center is in Compton, that Compton, and their service people treat you like you would expect to be treated in Compton based on the city's reputation. The guy told me to unplug the stove. I told him it would be a minute because I put a silicone bead between the stove and the counter so spills don't get under my stove and I would need a minute to razor that before moving the stove. The guy told me THAT was what broke the stove. I wish I was smart enough to have come up with sealing the stove and counter to stop the mess but a professional service person did that at my old house and it was amazing. And I have done it since because counter spills running between the stove and counter are gross. And there is no way a paper thin silicone bead on the outside edge of the stove and counter top seam would cause the stove to make a loud pop and then trip a breaker.
A few days later someone calls me to come look at it. I thought I was covered at least under parts warranty. Nope! Nothing. $150 for someone to show up and then whatever the parts cost. The fact that there is only a 1 year warranty on this item should be a big red flag. This is the second Samsung appliance to let me down. I bought a Samsung fridge a while back and it was DOA. I ended up with a Whirlpool I hate because I let them haul the old fridge away and then had a fridge full of food spoiling and they offered to deliver the Whirlpool floor model in the next half hour. So 2 for 2 on the Samsungs being crap. And their service is horrible!! I'm almost wondering if they are not using prison slave labor. When they call you it is a Compton number they call from. The way their customer service people talk to you and don't care at all prison labor would make sense.

Its hot temperatures do not correlate to those of the recipes forcing you to remove it ten minutes before the suggested recipe temperature. Even then, the result is a dry brownie or cake... In other words, it overlooks everything.

We thought that Samsung would be a reputable manufacturer when we decided to purchase a new stove. What a huge mistake in thinking that was!!! We had the smooth top stove model NE595RO for less than one month. I was cooking on it and my pot became stuck to the element. I could not get it off. So I let it cool down and then was able to remove my pot. (I always wipe my pots off on the bottom before cooking to ensure nothing will cause it to stick to the element area). A piece of the smooth top actually stuck to the pot and came off and made a dime-sized gouge in the smooth top. Was I ever mad. I had a KitchenAid smooth top for over 21 years and it looked as good as the day I had bought it. It was the oven that died in my KitchenAid and being so old we decided to get a new one rather than start to repair the old one. Plus the Samsung was a lot cheaper than many other brands. You only get what you pay for is the correct rule.
I phoned Samsung and with the first call was told to send in the pictures and explanation which I did. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. One week later after no call, I phoned them back and I had to now deal with a very rude moron on the phone who would not tell me how to contact the supervisors at Samsung. Needless to say I had bought the extended warranty but the cook top should be covered for one year and it was only one month old when this fiasco happened. I did receive an email from Samsung stating it was a cosmetic issue made by the customer and they would not repair it. Samsung will use every excuse under the sun to lay the blame on the customer when in fact they have shoddy products and the most heinous customer service. This was our first and last Samsung purchase. Had we known then what we know now, we would have never bought a Samsung stove. BEWARE of Samsung products.

Samsung slide-in, glass cooktop over oven, Model NE58F9710WS - We have been using the range for approximately one year and are generally satisfied with its performance. If there were children in our household, I would have to replace the Samsung with a safer range.
We are very careful to not leave anything on the stovetop. Recently though, I was on my knees cleaning the oven when I felt heat coming from the cooking surface. I had momentarily placed the oven partition there and it was now fused to the cooktop. Unknowingly, I had accidentally bumped a control knob with my shoulder. When I lifted the (smoking) partition, it took a dime-sized divot out of the glass top. I accept responsibility for the damage, but this would not have happened if the controls were not as exposed and so easily activated. Now we must shell out several hundred dollars for a repair!
