The sales rep was very good. I got the Safe Step tub for my parents and it's a nice luxury to have in the home especially for older people. It’s like a little spa for my parents and I like the safety features. There are also a lot of options to it. My mother can sit now and the little micro bubbles make your legs feel better. It's something special because right now, you need something special in your world. If it's affordable for others, they should consider it.
Thanks for your review, Barbara! We're so glad to hear you and your parents are satisfied with the tub. Enjoy!

There was a gal from Safe Step who came out to the house and she was fantastic. She knew the things I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time on because I had already done my research online. I already knew I wanted to buy it and I just needed to know how much it was. But she still told me about it and ran through the features with me. If there were things that I wanted more information on, then she played to that. So, she was cognizant of what my interests were as far as hearing about it. She was very nice and accommodating. So, I appreciated that about her. She measured everything and I love that she informed me of what they were going to do and what it was going to take.
Installation crew-wise, there was a piece of it which was a kind of a velcro on the front, and it didn't come with it. Literally, the person who was at my house drove over the next day and brought me the piece. So, they were Johnny-on-the-spot, great guys, easy to talk to, easy to work with and wonderful people. I primarily got the tub for my mom. She doesn't live here, but she comes down and visits. I haven’t technically used it but I need to because it's cool.
It would be nice if the price came down some. It was nice to have the discounts available and I took advantage of all of those but it’s still very expensive. It's worth it but they would have a hard time selling them. But then, it’s not as hard to spend money when you know there's value in it. It’s a fantastic product and it is going to serve me very well. I love the hybrid feature because I have a lot of people that visit me and they don't all want to take a bath, which was why I went with Safe Step. The fact that they manufacture it, install it and service it is phenomenal.

The sales rep from Safe Step came out with his presentation and it was very thorough. We liked what was said and the shower attachment made me decide to go with them. The installation team was very competent. They were nice gentlemen. We had some problems but we got them taken care of. I like the walk-in bath tubs very much. It’s very relaxing, helpful and I'm enjoying using it. Other than getting in and closing the door, the experience with Safe Step has been fine.

It was getting to be a hassle stepping in and out of the bathtub. I figured a walk-in would be better. I liked that with the Safe Step, it's easy getting in and out. The installation went well. Everybody was courteous and nice and friendly. Most people like the rainbow shower. I like it, but to me, the showerhead is a little bit too large. Also, it takes the tub a long time to fill up. With a regular tub, you just turn the water on and step away for a few minutes and come back and you step in the tub. You can't do that with the step-in tub because you can't leave the door open. I read all the instructions about three times. They explained everything to me. Once a month, you should fill the tub up with warm water and wash it out.

I’m very crippled and I thought a walk-in tub would help. The rep from Safe Step presented what he had and explained it to me, and I thought it was right. He was friendly enough. Two guys were here for the installation. There are a couple things I don't like about the tub. The temperature of the water shuts off halfway through it, and I can't turn the water hot enough. It’s kind of small, too. I'm a bit disappointed for the money that I paid. They sent it in this house before I had any idea what the size of that damn thing was. But it does help my knee a lot.

The Safe Step walk-in tub had a lifetime guarantee and the other ones didn’t. The installation went well but I wish they told me that they were going to put a big conduit on the very face of the front of the house. They had to create another place for the electric to enter and so, they had to put these little pipes up above the place where the box is. They were talking about it but I didn't know that this was what it was going to look like when I went in front of the house and looked. It was atrocious-looking. When I saw that, I was blown away and not in a good way. I just stood there. I couldn't believe that they did that to our house. If we ever sell the house down the road, it probably would be a lower value now. The trees block it and I got a painter to cover it with the color of the house because they were metal pipes. But even so, nobody else has pipes on the front of their house.
Everything went very fast. They were very good and nice people but I wasn't happy with the way they had to do it. It was already put up there and I couldn't tell them to take it down. They said they didn't have any place else to direct it because we didn't have an attic it could go through. So, they had to go across the way. It goes up and then sideways. But if I had known that that was going to happen in the very beginning when the salesman was here taking pictures of all that and if he had told me about it, I would have just passed on the whole deal.
The salesman sent pictures to the workers and he got all the measurements. But he didn't tell me that was what they were going to do and maybe he didn’t know. I'm not happy with that setup. While the installers were doing it, they could have come up to me and told that it was what they were going to do. They had to bring in electricians from their sources and they could have consulted with me. The other thing is, the tub is too short for me. I'm almost 6-feet-tall and if I get the water level to where it’s going to bubble or the jets are going to go, it goes all over the floor because these are very powerful water jets. So, I have to spend a half-hour cleaning up the floor. It comes up over the top and the sides and even though I have the shower thing inside, it still bubbles over and makes its way outside of the tub.
I asked the salesman if there was someplace I could sit down and try it out. But nobody had one and I ended up spending all this money. Then, they made it sound like they did so much for you because they put up that wall and shower thing. I mainly use it now for a shower because I can't fill up the tub as much as I'd like to. I do but I fill it up low. I would like to sink in and have my shoulders get some treatment and my back but I don't want to splash all over the place. I wish that I had more room and that I had known in advance what it felt like to be in there. Also, every once in a while, the thing doesn't even work right. You press a button and the whirlpool will go. Sometimes, the jets will go and I don't know if it's working right.

The sales team was great and the installation team was very good explaining everything. They did an efficient job as well. Everything was great, except we didn't know they were gonna use our Norwex towel to clean up with. It was hanging behind my bathroom door and after they left, we found it all soiled on the floor. It's an $80 bath towel and it was ruined. It was full of slivers and fiberglass particles. We washed it, but it didn't do any good.
The biggest problem with the Safe Step tub is it's noisy, and it takes a long time to fill up. We have to sit there so long before it fills up so we can use the jets, but we're getting used to it. One of us is the old person in the house and she uses it the most. She likes all of the features, but she doesn't know how to turn on the bidet thing. Other than that, the tub is relaxing. Her knees don't hurt 'cause she doesn't have to get up and down out of the other tub.
Hi Terry and Linda, thank you for your review! I'm so sorry to hear about your towel being ruined. I would be upset as well. Please give us a call at 1-800-989-5101 to discuss any problems or concerns that you have. Other than that, we're so glad to hear that you all are enjoying the tub! Thanks for letting us know!

I'm very pleased with Safe Step. It's absolutely a joy. I'm enjoying it very much. I have a little back problem going on. I get in that and sit about 30 minutes, and what a tremendous help. I've really wanted that for a long time. I like all the features in the tub, but I also enjoyed the shower when I went to shampoo my hair. I was pleased with the two gentleman that put the tub in. The installation went very quickly. They were here about 8 o'clock, and by 12:30, they were finished. They were very good. They got in there and got to business, and they took some pictures off the wall when they had to beat up the other bathtub. I was very happy for their consideration. The sales reps were also wonderful, polite and nice as they could be.

My lower back has issues at times, and I’m 71. I felt like it was time to do something for my body. Safe Step had a good package deal. The installers were good. They came when they were gonna come, did what they said they were gonna do, and they came back when they said they were gonna come back. Everything turned out wonderful. I enjoy the massage on my Safe Step, and the seat seemed to be better.
Hi Donald! We're so glad to hear that you're happy with your tub, and that the installation process went smoothly. Thanks so much for letting us know, and enjoy!

I wrote a check to Safe Step for the 14,731. It showed it got deposited the same day, which was the 28th. Then two days later, another check was cashed and they added a dollar to it. It was 14,732. It showed where a dollar was added. I said, "How the hell does anybody add $1 to a check?" But the same check got cashed twice within two days. They cleaned out my checking account, went into my savings, and I was broke for a couple hundred dollars. I didn't check it until Saturday night. I couldn't sleep. I got up, and I checked my account to make sure the check got through. When I saw zero balance, it was awful. It was the worst experience I had my whole life.
I went from Saturday night, all day Sunday, and I called the 800 number on Monday and made an appointment at the bank. I got to the bank and they didn't know how it happened, and so they started to do an investigation. I waited a week. I just got a letter back yesterday and they said, "Sorry for the inconvenience." I called them up, and I said, "Inconvenience? You could be talking to one of my members of the family. I could be dead. It almost gave me a freaking heart attack. I got the money back in my account. But what I wanna know now is, how did one check get cashed twice within two days with a dollar difference?"
This claim department said, "I should get back to my local bank and ask them." I said, "I wanna know why I wasn't protected. I have overdraft protection. But why wouldn't the bank call me and ask me if two checks are wrote, if one check is getting cashed one day, and two days later, a dollar is added to it?” I called Safe Step, and told the rep about it. He said he only got one check. He was pretty nice about it. Then when I called him two days later and told him the money was back in my account, he still didn't know how and now they're trying to blame it on the bank where they have an account. All they're doing is pushing the buck around.
I got rheumatoid arthritis, and I thought maybe the Safe Step might help me with my shoulders. But with my experience, I've not been able to use it because it brings back that terrible nightmare. I'm not really comfortable with it. I'm like shying away from it right now. The sales team was very nice. It was just the experience afterwards with the check getting deposited twice. If anybody asked me about it, I'm gonna say, "Oh, my God, don't use them because somehow they cash your check twice." It was terrible.
Right now, I don't even know how to use all the gauges in the bathtub. I tried to use the shower last night. I couldn't get the top shower working. I can't blame that guy who came to install either because I had a doctor's appointment. I thought it was gonna take three days. I thought they wouldn't be done the first day. I left at 2:30, and they were ready to wrap up, so he went through it very hurriedly. I have not really enjoyed the bathtub at all, so far. I'm so disappointed. When you get in the shower, you have to sit down to close the door or even get in to close the door. You can't just walk in.
The first experience I got in, I got out, my floor was drenched. Then the second time, I watched what was going on. I think the bubbles were too high. I wasn’t explained about the cleaning of it once a month. It was a good thing I read the pamphlet. I wasn't told where I could get any more beads if I wanted any more of that aroma that puts in that little dispenser they have. I don't know if I'm at fault or who's at fault because of the incident with the check episode. It's just has a bad taste in my mouth.
Barry said he's gonna send me a check for 250 for all the aggravation I went through and send me some beads. I've never heard anything from him back on that. Then I did get a callback when I called them. I thought I had a leak, but it was about three or four days later before someone called to see if anybody had called me on it or what was going on. Then he gave me his number and said to call him back if I had a problem. Right now, I'm not happy until I find out what happened with that check.
Hi Judith, we are terribly sorry to have put you through all of this inconvenience. It seems that we were given two checks, and mistakenly deposited both. When the problem was brought to our attention we fully refunded the second check, added $250 for the inconvenience, as well sent you a care package. We love our Safe Step. It’s awesome. My husband did fall a couple months ago. We had the antique tub with the claws feet, and it's really tall, and I don't know how he slipped because I wasn't at home at the time. I like our Safe Step because it's safe and it has the Jacuzzi. We're getting older and I do have some aches and pains. I have sciatic nerve. My husband has problems with his knees and back. Having the Safe Step, we don't need to do exercises every time.
The Safe Step rep was very nice. He really explained the product very well. We saw the video. He took a little time. It wasn't a rush thing. The installation was great. It took a little longer because I live in an older house, so they had to do reverse plumbing. They had to come back the next day. It took like a day and a half. They were very clean. With the way they cleaned up, we didn’t have to really do any cleanup behind them. It was wonderful. Everybody was so nice.
Hi Catherine! Thanks so much for letting us know how your husband and you are feeling about the whole process. We're so glad we were able to provide a safe bathing option for you two. Enjoy!

A salesman came here, showed us some videos and told me how much the bathtub costs. He was nice. The installers were good as well. They cleaned up their mess. I like the jets on the tub, but all my wife has done right now is get in it to take a shower. She had her hip replaced and she can't get down in the water and take a bath. When the shower blew a part, the guy had to come and put a new shower pole on. All in all, the Safe Step walk-in tub is a good investment. My grandson said that when he buys a house, he has got to have one.

I got a knee replaced and my other knee is not in the greatest shape. I'm 73 years old and my wife and I are both developing balance problems. We saw Safe Step on TV and in other advertisements. So we looked into it and called them up. We had the salesperson come over and she did a good job of explaining it to us. The guys did a super job and were done in seven hours from start to finish. They left the place clean and everything's in order. It feels great having the tub, except the hot water heater runs out of hot water before it quite gets full. I gotta figure out something different to do. The heater has only been in two years and it's a 40-gallon. So, it should keep up. I increased the heat on it to see if that will take care of the problem and I'm gonna crank it up every time we use the tub just for that purpose.
We had a shower that we couldn't figure out how to put any grab handles on because the tile is so hard. It was one of the problems the installation crew had. They ruined three bits trying to drill that tile to put the handle inside. So, it wasn't just me. They were the proper bits to drill that kind of tile and it was just hard. So, they put the handle on the edge of the tile as you step out of the tub, which works fine. There was also a strip of tile where the wall was that they had to take out. I gotta find somebody that can saw this tile and make me a couple of three-inch strips so I can glue up there on the wall to finish it out. It's no big deal, other than finding a blade sharp enough to cut this stuff.

The doctor suggested that we get a walk-in tub for my husband because he got really bad arthritis in his knee. I've seen advertisements on TV a lot more for Safe Step than others. Then we went to look at Kohler and stuff and they were all equally as expensive, but I wanted a name that I know I could go back and get service if I needed it because that was quite a big purchase, just as much as a car.
The Safe Step sales representative that came out to us was a lovely man. He explained every facet of the tub, its operability and all the steps. But I didn't like to be rushed into a sale. When he came in, he filled out the form and started asking us a bunch of questions and I didn't realize that he was doing it to actually sell the tub at that time. So I told him that we'd like to think about it and he said that he just filled it out and that I wouldn't get this discount 'cause I was handicapped and I got the money saved on it. We were gonna buy the walk-in tub but he put us on the line. After he did, I asked if he would mind waiting for a moment and I went in and took my time working my budget. He was very nice and he sat there and waited.
I had two young boys to do the installation. They're probably the nicest people you'll ever wanna meet. But they left a mess. I still got goop on my walls and they came back out to clean it. But some of the stuff, they just said that they couldn't get it off. There was still caulk and goop in my tub. We've just been slowly but surely trying to get it out. Also, there were fingerprints all over my wall So I'm gonna have to paint them. My favorite feature about the tub is the air and the water jets together. But I do not feel any different than any other tub. I was expecting the MicroSoothe to be better.
Hi Mary, thank you for reaching out and letting us know how your experience went. I ordered the walk-in tub in August and it was installed in September. The installation went terribly. They broke a line. I’m on the 14th floor and it flooded two floors below me. I finally got the water turned off. I wouldn’t place the blame on the two people who worked on it. But I got work orders and for many weeks, people would say that they would get it taken care of by the end of the week. That went on for several weeks.
I’ve used the tub one time and the water has gone up over the back of the tub. They said that I can get a splashguard from Home Depot. I paid $16,000 for this and I’m not gonna run into Home Depot, spend $5 and install it myself. It wasn't set levelled so the seat remains wet. I'm 6 feet tall and it’s way too small for me. It's designed for someone who is maybe 5’6 tall. For me to use the foot massage is impossible and to sit in it is uncomfortable. So, I was sent this cushion and it's open-cell, which is useless. It can't be used. It's the sponge like you have on the sink.
Closed-cell foam is something that you can get from Home Depot that doesn't absorb water. So, if you were to put that underwater and you also have a seat that one can sit on which consists of cellulose, you have to take it out and wring it out. Then you should put it outside. It's one-time use only. I'm gonna go to Home Depot and get tile sponges, which is the kind of thing that you use to grout tile and you smoothen out the tile, and that is closed-cell foam.
The person who sold it to me was a very good salesperson. She upsold me to different things and that was fine. They make a lot of money on these things and it was incumbent upon me to do a little bit better research. But under no circumstances would I ever recommend Safe Step. I wouldn’t recommend even getting one of these things. It’s a total waste of time and money. I’m not an old person who has to have a walk-in but because I do quite a lot of extensive traveling, I figured that I’ll just throw the money I’m saving on traveling into a tub and a new kitchen as well. It was a huge mistake. If I wasn't having so much stuff with my kitchen right now, I would have more time going to public sites and expressing my displeasure.

He's very knowledgeable and a good salesman. I liked the installer too. He was excellent. When he introduced himself, he said he was the best installer in the country. My wife has used the walk-in tub twice but I'm in the process of solving the hot water problem. The water heater is very hard to get to. It's under the stairs in our closet. So, when the salesman came, we weren't able to access it. I thought since it was fairly new that it would be okay, but it was only a 38-gallon water heater and it is inadequate to supply the tub.

Safe Step was the first one I called and I didn't venture out on any other. The sales rep was very professional and I was truly impressed with them. They were kind to an old lady too. The installation was done in less than half a day so everything was great. My favorite is when we’re sitting and have the water higher than my regular tub. I can go in the tub and do my thing. I can read a book if I want to. I haven't done it anywhere that I could go in it to sit and relax. The experience has been good so far and they promised to come back if I had anything, so that’s a plus for me too.

The only thing I didn't like when I worked with Safe Step's reps was that like typical salesmen, they don't answer their phone when I try to get a hold of them after the fact. Overall, Safe Step did a good job. I was shocked that their installation only took five hours. They protected my floor. But then they stuffed where the shower head was coming out of the wall with a bunch of caulking. I have to pull all that caulking out 'cause once it dries it would shrink. I have an indentation in my wall and I gotta get in there, step on the seat of the tub, pull all the garbage out of there, and do it right.
Also, the finished board that they put up wasn't caulked on top. If I was doing a job, I would caulk it all the way around. I ended up calling the office 'cause they don't answer other lines. The girl there said that they would get in touch with somebody who does the contracting and one of them would give me a callback. A week later, I'm still waiting for a callback.

We have a tub placed about 14 years ago for my mother-in-law. We checked into it. We had Safe Step installed. As far as the sales team, the first time was great. On the second time, we had a little bit of problem trying to get the shower put in. But once we got everything, and we're dealing with Patrick, everything went just as smooth as could be. Everybody was great, helpful and prompt. Everything went very well. I like the jets because it makes it easy to sit in there and relax. I don’t like the Safe Step tub but I can’t get rid of it. When I first spoke with the girl, she said they would measure and I'd have a whole year to decide to do it. However, the one who came to measure said he was not going to measure if I was not gonna take it. It was supposed to be with overhead shower but they just put the hand held thing. A senior is not good enough to hold the shower, pull it out, and shower. Also, why do they make the door open on the inside? Another thing is they should not put the button for the jets to the back. They should put it where a senior can get the button. They should put those things to the front or higher. It’s bad enough that I have to go in and turn sideways to close the door, then I have to push knobs at the back.
A few friends have come and looked at it. One said they don’t need to get a walk-in bathtub. Some of my friends are still concerned about the going in and the closing the door. The other one was saying you’re really not leaning down because there’s really no headrest. What my other girlfriend said was, “I’m an old person. I can go into the bathtub, but I am cold while I’m sitting there to turn the water on.” It’s not something you can turn on then go into, like your shower. At least you can turn your shower on, know what the temperature is, and go in. With the the walk-in tub, you can’t do that because your door must be closed or your water will be out.

Safe Step's salesperson was excellent. The installers were superb. They're the best installers I've ever seen on anything. They said they'd be here at 8:00. They were here right at 8 o'clock. They were done in about seven hours. They were gone between 2:00 and 3:00. We've got a couple of issues about the tub that we've got to take care of. There's a little leakage at the base of the door. We haven't called about that yet.
The thing I'm most surprised about is it appears that our water tank is a 40-gallon water tank. Before it fills up, the hot water is all gone. If they wanna sell this stuff, somebody might say to the people buying it, "Look, this thing takes more than 40 gallons to fill up. And if you only got a 40-gallon hot water tank, you're not gonna be able to get it tippy top full. So that it comes up over those back jets.” We've got to either buy a bigger water tank or never have over the back jets. Somebody should have looked at our tank. You're sitting in there waiting for it to get to the top, so you can turn all the jets on. Then all of a sudden, the water coming out of the tap is cold. No matter what you do, it's just cold. I gotta figure out what to do about that hot water. But Safe Step's people are wonderful.

We looked at Safe Step's advertisement, and we thought it was a good deal. My daughter has a lot of knowledge about things like that, and we decided that that was the best option. Everybody at Safe Step was excellent. The guy that came in and took all the details was a gentleman. The people that installed it were in and out of here in no time at all. They did a good job.
The only problem is my legs are swelled up, and my feet are swollen on the top of my feet, and I can't get in the tub. I try to get in, and I can get in with the door open, but I can't close it on my feet. The door is very low on it. So, I can't use it. Overall, my wife is ecstatic. She said it was the best thing that ever happened. She loves it. She looks forward to her bath.
Hi Mike, we're so glad to hear that the installation process went smoothly, and that your wife is able to enjoy the tub. You may have already tried this, but maybe try sitting down in the tub then moving your legs to the side to close the door. That's the easiest way we have found to close the door. I hope this helps, but if not please give us a call at 1-800-989-5101 so we can help assist! Thank you!

I had a tub for the last 12 years but it was really looking awful. I wanted a new one so I read about it and I am thrilled to death that I got it. The rep was very nice and informative. Those guys during the installation were wonderful. The tub looks beautiful. I could sing its praise all day long. It's bigger than the one I had and the quality is much better. I really like those microbubbles. My son-in-law who's had a stroke was visiting. I put him in it and he thought it was great. My husband loves that he gets in it. I feel relaxed when I get out of it. I'm very satisfied with Safe Step. If anybody would want one, I'd be glad to show them mine and talk them into it. Having two tubs, I really see a difference and I didn't think I would. I couldn't recommend it enough. Anybody that needs that tub would be very happy with it.

Our Safe Step tub is wonderful. My husband hasn't quite been able to use the jets yet because he's been going in and out of the hospital with congestive heart failure, but I have been able to use it. It relaxes me so good. We're loving it. My sister's coming over this afternoon to try it out because we're trying to convince her to get one. The guys that did the installation came in at 12:30 in the afternoon, and they were out of here before 6 o'clock in the evening. They washed the walls and the floor. I couldn't have asked for a better clean-up crew. I heard nightmare stories. I've had it before where the installers said they were gonna have it all done in one day, and it was a mess. My wife has trouble getting around. I was thinking it'd be easier for her to get in and bathe. She's having trouble bathing. Standing her up and getting her right on the shower's kind of a hazardous deal. I was doing it more or less for her sake and her ease. She didn't like taking a bath or a shower because she was fearful of falling and it’s kinda aggravating to do that. She loves our Safe Step tub. It gets her clean without having to do a lot of stuff and washing. It works out really good. She likes bathing a lot more. It's a lot easier and a lot safer. She goes in and bathes now without having to stand around and try to wash and get around and clean, which is a whole lot better.
The installers did really good. They got 100 on that thing. But they knocked a hole in the other wall. I've called them twice. They're supposed to come out and fix it, but I ain’t heard from them. She’s 89 years old and her legs hurts a lot. The only thing is I wish I’d known before that the tub is big and it holds a whole lot of water. When the tub was put in, I was told my mom's hot water tank wouldn't be a big enough, that she may have to get another one. The water doesn’t come out cold, but it’s not warm enough either. Still, I'm pleased with it. The installers did a good job. They did it faster than I thought they would. When they put in the Safe Step tub, it's deep, and my mom was a little scared at first, but she likes it now. She has used it four times and I like that it makes her feel better after she uses it. The rep from Safe Step was nice and the team that came to install was wonderful. They were pleasant and professional. They cleaned up and got the job done. I feel better when I get out of the tub. However, it is kinda small. I was made aware of the size before I purchased it but I didn't realize it was that tight. Also, I had called them because there is a spot in the caulking where something needs to be done to it. This was over two weeks ago but I still have not heard from anyone yet. It's not a big spot but with all the money I'm paying for it, it needs to be fixed. My husband said there's a potential for leakage. We did not use the tub as told for 24 hours so it's not something that we did.
My uncle told me about tub that they had installed and how good it was. One day I was watching it on TV and that's what made me call in addition to the fact that they were offering the shower with it. I was trying to get them the referral bonus. The representative told me there was some paperwork they should have filled out. He was gonna send an email. But they are in their late 80s, early 90s so they're not good with texting and all that. I would love for them to get the referral bonus because had they not given me their input, I wouldn't have even thought about it.

It's great that I'm able to get the water at least up over my stomach. The only problem I had was the inspection. They told me to leave the water in the tub so they could look for leaks or anything. The inspector was supposed to come the next day but he didn’t. After about five days, I called the number that I could get hold of, and evidently, the word wasn't communicated to the inspector. I had let the water out after seven days so then they rejected it. I had to fill it back up and the inspector came back the next day. He was nice.

I am enjoying our Safe Step. The only feedback is that the shower part of it is not so kosher. For me, it’s a beautiful system except it's a little too narrow. When you're showering, whether you’re using the overhead or the handheld, too much water is going over on the counter. It spills on the counter, which consistently, you have to dry. It would be good if there could be a slope to make one part of it a little lower so the water runs back into the back. It is very good for a bath. Because of the nature of my job, I have to do more showering because I'm one of those essential workers. And that is my go-to shower room. So, for me if you're sitting and showering, it’s a little okay. But if you're standing, it’s not so okay.
We saw Safe Step and we loved everything about it. The sales representative that came out was a great guy. He could sell anything. His name was Frank. The installation was very good. We first saw Safe Step advertised on TV, and then we got a flyer in the mail. I called about it, and then a lady came out and gave us a little presentation. At first, she was a little pushy. But by the time we were over, she was helpful. Because I had some doubts about taking out that Jacuzzi tub and how it was gonna look when they came because the physical size was so much smaller than the tub that was being taken out. I was concerned because we had a window there and it was like, "We're gonna do this, that." I said, "No, this is a nice home and we're not doing that." So, I said, "No, just forget it." Then she said, "Let me talk to our installer and see what we can do."
I really wanted the tub because of my husband mainly, and then I've used it since it's been installed. Then, the lady who was that salesperson thanked me and sent a thank you card. The installers were super. They sent the wrong stuff though. So, we waited. They said four to six weeks. It was closer to seven weeks before they got here. Then, when the fellas got the tub and started to put on the fixtures, they sent for a shower instead of for a tub.
So then, it's a week and a half later. They finally got the fixtures that are just for the tub. Lo and behold, he said they were oil rubbed bronze, but they're a lot lighter. It's not like chrome, that would be an obvious difference, but it does not match like it did. But by that point, I was like, "This is what we've gotten." So, that disappointed me. Because the color of the shower stuff was the exact color to match what we had.
They were also supposed to ship it to my house 'cause he was doing another job about 60 miles away, and when he finished that, he could come and put the fixtures in. But, they didn't. They shipped to his house, which is a five and a half-hour drive from where we are. So we had to wait till the following week to get that put in. Also, the tub's a little bit narrow to get in and out of. We're not tiny, but we're not big people. It's okay for us, but even my husband has a little hard time with the narrowness. But it's great 'cause it saves water.
Hi Sabrina, thank you so much for your review, and thank you for being so patient with us. I can understand your frustration, and I hope we resolved the issues. Please give us a call at 1-800-989-5101 if anything changes. We hope your husband and you enjoy!

The sales rep from Safe Step was a good salesman but when a salesman tells you what the tub is supposed to be like when they install it, then he needs to follow up on the guy that installs it. There should be somebody behind them that's gonna look up at the job and make sure the tub is put in like it's supposed to be put in. If not, it gives the tub a bad name. The installer worked really hard and did a good job doing it but it's not like we were told it's gonna be. It takes 15 minutes for the tub to fill up and we were told the plate that goes around it would have a tilt to it like water gets on it, it would go back in the tub. It's impossible for that to happen. It's perfect level. But we can deal with that.
I got the walk-in tub for my wife because she couldn't get in and out of our other tub and everything about it is really nice. Our favorite features are the air jets and those small bubbles. My wife likes that the best. And the seat’s nice. It heats up. Also, it's nice that they have that temperature control where people can fill it and they don't burn their feet up. It's automatically preset and you can move it wherever, but as far as safe, that switch gives it its name. It’s very safe for older people that don't have feeling and confused about adjusting stuff.

I saw Safe Step's coupon in the Sunday paper about a $2,000 discount. I called with the coupon and I asked how much it would cost but nobody would tell me. They said they would make an appointment to come to my house and they would have to see. Their rep finally told me how much it costs and I said, "Jesus. It cost that much?" But all the things that are on it are what makes it expensive, as well as the installation.
I am having a ball with the tub and they say that it will change your life and it already has. My first time taking a real bath in the tub, I got in bed and I almost didn't get up. It relaxed me. Whenever I tell somebody that I got one and tell them how much it costs, they say, "Good God," but I tell them I don't regret it. I worked for 37 years. I'm a retired teacher and I need something that makes me feel good at my age.

I’m in a wheelchair. I had seven surgeries in two and a half months on my legs. I also had back problems and I got a shower, but it’s nowhere that I can put the shower chair. My daughter got Safe Step for me so I could take a shower if I’m tired of just washing up. I can’t stand in a long time and I can’t raise my legs that high. The people that came to do the installation were really nice. However, the first time I got in it, the tub was leaking so we had to call the folks back. They recaulk it and they wanted to make sure that it was dry. We waited a week before we got in it. Then when I got in, it was leaking. They said they would come fix it, so they had to come back again.

Safe Step's rep was nice and did a good job. The installation went well, and the installer did a good job too. I did not like that he wouldn't lower the shower any farther than it was. It was tall enough for Paul Bunyan. He lowered it a bit. But that was disappointing that he wouldn't do that. The tub was a very big expenditure for me at 17,000 something. But I'm hoping it will help with my polyneuropathy, arthritis, and some other general issues I have.

There was instability in a shower that was why I went with a walk-in tub. The salesman came to the door and he was a little bit aggressive. I didn't like it. Then after that, it was pretty straightforward. We have no problems. After purchasing, it took a month, which is bad. Then after, the crew came. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I'm a lot more secure in it. We enjoy the bath and the jets and we love them. We're completely happy with it. It's just that the price is a little bit steeper than we thought it would be.

I did a competitive quote of American Standard, Koehler and Safe Step. The (3) brands I found with lifetime limited warranty on tub and installation(limited meaning as long as you own the tub). Kohler was first with a product that proudly bears the name. I was ready to buy when the Kohler rep left! Safe Step was next and wow! Their Top-of-the-line walk-in tub with a stand-alone shower had features Kohler only dreams about.
Fully Heated Seat w-head rest
Chromotherapy
Aromatherapy
True Stand Up Shower
Low Price Guarantee
They beat Kohler’s best price by thousands of dollars! While I was waiting for Safe Step to arrive, American Standard called to cancel our scheduled and confirmed appointment. We rescheduled but as they say, “you snooze, you lose!”. When the dust settled from buying Safe Step I called American Standard and cancelled because I had already bought Safe Step! I also called the Kohler Rep and told him what transpired with Safe Step. He was gracious in defeat, I am now waiting for installation by Safe Step and the wife is waiting for her first Safe Step Spa treatment! Stay Tuned!????

Safe Step's warranty is good. The salesman that came out was really good, except he told me that the payment would be $140-something a month. If I only paid the interest the first three months, then it would go up to 177. I just took him at his word, and I should've read it. When they called me, they said it was 177. The salesman told me it would be less than 150 and I haven't heard anything else. Other than that, the guys who came out to install were friendly and nice and they did a good job. I got a fiberglass tub, which is better than a plastic one. I haven't been using it but once or twice a week. I don't use it every day. It takes a long time to fill up and I just like to get a shower and get out and be through with it.

My husband and I got to a point where I thought it was the best solution for us to to get that jacuzzi tub situation without putting in an outdoor spa or a new tub. We both were having trouble getting out of the tub and my husband fell in the shower so I knew it was time I needed to do something different. The salesman from Safe Step was very knowledgeable. I was ready to buy it when he walked through the door but he insisted on telling me everything about it. It was a very thorough presentation and he was very professional. The installation team was great. They had to take the bathroom apart and move the counter out of the way, and they did a good job. Everything has been fine with the tub. It's operating wonderfully and we really like it. I mainly bought it for the spa part of it. We've always had outdoor spas but we moved and retired and I didn't wanna have to get in the hassle of maintaining one outside.
I had a little dust-up when I first got it. I didn't close the door properly. It leaked and I didn't realize it. I stopped payment on my check 'cause I was pissed. I thought it was the tub and I couldn't get ahold of anybody. I called the main number and the girl on the phone was very uncooperative about getting someone out to take care of it. She was not very professional. She was very rigid and not the best customer service person I've ever had before. So I called the salesman and he came out and saw what I had done.

It was all professional and they were all out of here early. My husband loves the tub. We have a hot tub in the cellar but he has problems getting in and out. The Safe Step one is perfect. They represent the company quite well. If the company had everyone like them, they’re in good shape. I've had numerous hot tubs, and they're mostly a pain in the rear because you're always in a situation cleaning them every month. If you're in the winter areas like I am, it's hard to fully utilize it when you go outside running to get in the hot tub, then freeze getting out of it and trying to get back at the house. It's annoying. So, I wanted something inside. I work a lot outside just around my house, and it involves some snow sports. So, it's nice to sit and get a massage when you're in the tub.
I looked around and saw the tubs. Based on what I saw, Safe Step was very competitively priced as well as it seemed to have all the options that I was looking for, not the least of which was the shower. So, you can use the tub with the shower or just use the tub. I wanted both. That was a major consideration. The installation was great. The people were friendly. The process came exactly as planned. They were on time. The only problem I've had was that my water heater is old and not up to the task. So, I'm getting a new one today, but outside of that, the tub's been great.

I had a flyer from Safe Step. I called them. I had two companies come and I thought that Safe Step was more quality, the way the guy demonstrated everything, talked about it and showed me films on his little iPad. But I would never recommend Safe Step to anybody because of the service I got as far as the sloppy work they left behind.
I had an older shower door and they took it off to put the one that I bought from them. One of them asked me to send pictures because also they had to take my doorframe off to fit the tub in there. When they put the doorframe back, the frame wasn't in right. It was a little open and I said, "Can you fix it so it's not open like that?" He put caulking on it. They made a mess of caulking, they cracked the tile a little bit where it doesn't look good but we're just stuck with it. It just looks ugly, like something was run down on it.
I complained and I wanted somebody to get back to me. I called to talk to two people and two people said they would get back but they never did. So, I'm not happy with the service we got. We are happy with the tub, though. We liked the tub. We like the lights and everything about it. They've never mentioned it to us till afterward that there was one bigger than that one we got, but that was okay. They said the other one was only an inch bigger. But it would've been nice to have the bigger one.

I heard good things about Safe Step. It sounded good. It's not now. I’m in a terrible state. I have RA. It's making my RA worse. It's one thing after another. The tub is leaking through the door. I have photographs and proof. The salesman has photographs, but he's in the hospital having a gallbladder removed. I'm horrendously unhappy. He told me that he had a hard time getting installers for the Richmond Virginia area. And none of us can help that. But he knew it all. I built my own house and I finished this house in five months in 1991 when everyone said I couldn't do it. I even did a bit of the work. I know my way around a three-quarter-inch board, watermarks, measuring, getting things level. I am not a stupid builder even at my age.
I didn't care for the installer so much, but I thought, “Well, it'll be okay. Everything will be okay. Calm down, come down.” He acted as if I knew nothing and that always irritates me. He refused to fix the door. He said it would leak. He said, “We filled up your tub and it didn't leak first.” It didn't leak until I got into it. I got into it, filled it halfway up, and it began to leak. The first leak was pretty bad because I got it three quarters filled before it really puddles.
I had a hard time getting anybody to come back. Finally, the installer came back and said, “Well, we filled it up and it didn't leak. There's nothing more I can do.” I said, “Well, the salesman tells me you can adjust the door.” He said,” I'm not touching those bolts. If I touch those bolts, it will leak.” And he left. After that, it was just trying to get ahold of everyone. I thought I had an appointment for yesterday, but it's really today's appointment. But in case I needed to, so I filled up the tub again after six days. I filled it halfway up and it leaked worse than the first time. That was after a little fix-it by the salesman. He had come back and he was hoped that would help but he wasn't sure. It didn't. Now it's leaking worse around the door seal. The doors weren't placed right therefore the seal isn't right.
I would like to talk to the owner. I have talked with somebody in the fix it department, the lady that answers the phones, but nobody has called me back in a timely manner. Somebody is supposed to come today. She said, “I will have the person call you right back,” when I talked to her yesterday. Finally, after four or five days. However, nobody has called me back. So, I still am not sure somebody is coming today named Kenny.
I was getting ready to call the federal government if somebody doesn't show up today at 12 o'clock or if they don't call me. I'm calling the feds because I have to get a lawyer fast. I don't want to be out $16,700. I can't afford to lose that kind of money with an 88-year-old husband and me with RA. I cannot afford it. I expected something good and I know what it takes to get this thing out and to get another one in and not have me lose money. It's gonna be impossible. And with RA, that's a disease of stress as much as anything.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease so my movement was very limited. The tub gives me the opportunity to take both a bath and a shower. The two guys Safe Step sent out were magnificent. They did a beautiful job and were as nice as they could be. The rep put on a very good presentation, and he answered all the questions. He had everything together. I was very impressed with him like that.
The guys that came out to install were perfect. They did a beautiful job. I bought two units, a tub and a separate shower stall. The shower is going to one house, the tub went in another house. I asked for the same guy who put the walk-in tub in to do the shower install in my other house. However, they measured their shower wrong and they gotta replace it. It’s about two inches short. I’ve been waiting for them for a couple of weeks to call me and tell when they were coming in. And I only have a 40-gallon hot water heater, where it takes an 80-gallon hot water heater for the system to run right. It just doesn’t keep the water hot all the time like it’s supposed to. I’m waiting for a callback now from the installer to pull the 40-gallon out and put an 80-gallon in. Other than that, my experience so far has been unbelievable. I already recommended Safe Step to two people.

I saw Safe Step on a commercial on TV and I asked about it. Someone came out and showed us the details. When the guy came out, we liked the way the guy presented the item to us so we went that way. I told him I wanted the best there is because I had knee surgery and my husband has hip problems. It was mostly for us. I like the air in the tub. It’s bubbling and it seemed like it gets the deep-down extra dirt that normally you can't get when you're using soap. It’s amazing. My husband's in there more than I am and he would sit there with a glass of wine. Usually, when we buy something like that and it costs a great deal of money, we always want the top of the line. Like when you buy a new car, you don't want to buy a used car. You want to buy the best.
The installation team couldn't get one of the jets to function right. My husband told them that it was getting late and to go back to their room, get a good night's sleep and they would have a fresh head in the morning. Because sometimes you need to just step away for a minute. When they came back, it took an hour and they were done. They were great. Safe Step is the best thing because soon as I got back from Germany, I told my husband I wanted a walk-in tub. He said that we would buy the house first and then we would get the tub. I love it. I don't even take a shower anymore. I sit in the tub. I even tried to talk my sister-in- law to get one.

The sales representative named of Bob came into the home and did a fine job. He did a very nice presentation. I was pleased with what I saw. I told him that we had others that we wish to speak with. He set Safe Step as the first one that we spoke with. We did have others come in, took a look at their product. The big selling factor for us was the low step because my wife is not able to move very well. And the fact that Safe Step uses a single handle tap for the water supply versus two handles, which allows us to mix the water much easier, which was another strong selling point. Some of the others only offered the dual handle and had a higher step. One had a lower step, but they had the two handles. We liked what we saw and that's who we went with.
However, the installation is where lies the rub. It was botched. Bob came in, the sales rep came in and took pictures. We had to take out an old garden tub that was there. There were things they found when they got in that nobody could have expected. I spoke with the installers when they came in. Gentlemen by the name of John and Jonathan. John seemed to be the lead while Jonathan was a younger individual. But both seemed to be very knowledgeable. I said, "How long does this take?" John said, "Well, normally it's three and a half, four hours. Normally, we can put one of these in. We've done quite a few of them." They did a fine job. They put down covering on the carpet, kitchen floor, then the tile where they had to come through that area as well, to make sure that the floors were in fine shape. I was impressed with the way they started.
I took my wife over to our daughter's and stayed over there for a bit. And then, came back and saw what the installers had gotten into. Whoever plumbed the garden tub, it was a mess. They worked through it. They started about 9 o'clock in the morning and left at 9 o'clock that night. So, they were there 12 hours. I went in after they left to use the toilet, and lo and behold, it didn't have any water at the stool. That was the Thursday before Labor Day that we did the installation. I called Bob and talked with him. He said, "Call the hotline number. Call the service department, the 800 number that you have. I'll contact them as well."
Friday morning, I tried to reach out and found out that “Operator 22 is not available.” I tried that two or three times. I called back and talked to Bob. He said, "It's almost Labor Day weekend. Maybe they've left early." And I said, "Well, okay. What would you like me to do?" And he said, "I can't get ahold of anybody either." I spent Friday with a bucket taking water from my shower, filling the toilet so that I could flush the stool. We have a two-bedroom home, but my wife needs to use that bathroom because it's set up with the handrails and guardrails so she can get on and off a stool conveniently for her.
Saturday, I went in to make the bed and I picked the pillows up off the floor where I put them and they were wet. So now, the leak is coming through the wall. The wall is a common wall between that and the tub installation. I said, "Well, it's got to be leaking there. It's got to be coming from the tub." As it turned out, that's what it was.
I talked with Bob again. And he said, "What are you gonna do?" I said, "If I don't hear anything from you guys on Friday, I'm gonna plumb the damn thing myself Saturday," which I did. My son and I went out and bought a piece of PEX, couplings, a supply line, and ran a new water line from the existing water line over to the stool. It still works. We did that ourselves.
Safe Step called Tuesday. I got a call again from John and he said, "I understand we got a leak. Do you want us to come tonight or do you want us come tomorrow morning?" I said, "I want you to come tonight." He said, "We can't get there before 7 o'clock." I said, "I really don't care. I can't shut the water off to the house ‘cause we got to have the toilet. And they don't have any stops to allow me to do that.” I had picked up their tools that they left laying out by the shut-off. There's a curb key and a channel lock out there. In order to shut the water off, they had to go to the street to shut it off. Their tools were laying out there. And I said, "Well, by the way, I've still have those here.” And I put the lid back on the meter box.
They came back and got the problem fixed and taken care of. It has worked fine. My wife loves it. Jonathan was very good about explaining to us how things work and making sure that we understood everything that we needed to know about it. I'm old. I probably forgot a lot of what he told me, but we've learned and my wife likes the tub. I received another call from Bob. He said, "How do you want me to make this right?" I said, "I don't want your damn money. So keep your money. I don't want any." I got a call from the district manager saying the same thing. They offered me cash to do it. I told them I didn't want the money. I love the tub. It does exactly what we wanted to do.
In the tub itself are two handholds. There's one on the side opposite the door and then there's one right by the door, that when you open the door, you can't get ahold of the handle. The door blocks that. You can reach over the top, but you've got to put your wrist on top of the door to do it. It's in an awkward position. And it's awkward for my wife to get in. It's still a two-person job for her to take a bath. I'm there with her because it's difficult for her to get in and out. That handle could perhaps be positioned on top or in another area. I would suggest that their product development guys and their engineers see if they might be able to do something different.
Hi William, we are terribly sorry to hear of the awful installation process you experienced. That is completely unacceptable, and thank you for making us aware of this issue. We're so glad it's been since fixed, and that your wife is enjoying it.

He was very informative and the whole nine yards. The installers were also fine. They came in and did their job. Everything was done like they said it would be. However, there are a couple of things that we noticed after they’ve gone. I was under the impression when I decided on Safe Step that they could build it personally for me and they didn't have to tear out anything. I went with them because of that despite having two other estimates come out and those were both a lot cheaper. However, when the guys got here to install, they had to tear out stuff so I was kind of disappointed with that. Now I have to go in and repaint and all this crap. And when they put the little electrical thing so you don't get electrocuted, it was crooked. I had to have somebody come out and put an itty-bitty dab of caulking that they missed. But it took almost two weeks to get ahold of somebody and for them to call me back. They said they were gonna call me on a certain day but they were two days late. I wasn't real happy with the service.
It would have been nice if they returned calls in a timely manner. There was one day I called them to get a repairman out to put in that little bit of caulking and I talked to one woman who told me to hang on. All of a sudden, another woman comes on and wants the same information. They said somebody would be getting ahold of me, which would have been the next day Thursday, but I never heard from anybody. I also went on to their website and I was texting with somebody there. I told him I needed somebody to get a hold of me. They gave me a different phone number from what I had. They tried as hard as they could. The salesman would tell you one thing but the guys that really put in the tub should be the ones selling the product because they know what they can and can't do.
Other than that, I'm really happy with the tub and it does what it's supposed to do. I hadn't taken a bath in probably 30 years so that was nice. But the installers had a tough time installing it so the little bit of lesson I got on how to operate it was really quick and I had to figure things out myself after getting sprayed in the face a couple of times. I got it down now.

The Safe Step sales rep was a very nice fella. The installer didn't really finish the job. He didn't finish under the house. He was supposed to fasten up the wire, but he didn't get it done apparently when I went under there later. The tub was too much money. But I like that I can get in and out of it without being afraid I'm going to fall. I've sat in that tub longer than I ought to be. I'm satisfied. People need to buy it and try it themselves.

I like that Safe Step made just one product and it was made in Tennessee. I live in Tennessee. I liked the product and that was just the only product they made. They weren't diversified. Their sales rep was very good. He did a good job. The installation experience was kinda mixed though. I didn't think they did the greatest job. I had to have them call back to do recaulking. When they came back, they did the recaulking. But then they left a flashlight and I called the number and told their guy that he could come and pick it up. He never did. So I still have his flashlight. It's a Milwaukee 12-volt Halogen flashlight. I'm not gonna waste my time getting it back to him. I've given him a call and told him it was here. They did a satisfactory job, but not an exceptional job.
As far as the walk-in tub, I like the microbubble. I had difficulty with electrical connection the first time, and I had him come back and fix that. There was a disconnect on the power. But other than that, it was okay. Overall, my experience with Safe Step was very good. I was going to finance a portion. It was for a $10,000 loan. I had an 850 credit rating but they didn't approve my loan because I had an elderly abuse person have me cosign on a loan, which they defaulted on and I got hung with it. That brought my credit rating down, but I had a perfect credit rating. And for a $10,000 loan, they disapproved it and they wouldn't seek another loan for me. So I had to use my savings to pay off the balance, which bothered me because that left me with no savings, which I didn't appreciate. $10,000 is nothing with my credit rating and I've got a $350,000 mortgage and I'm paying $2,000 a month on that and I've never missed a payment.

We love the person from Safe Step. She was so efficient. She explained everything beforehand and told us exactly what we could expect. I've been in contact with her numerous times. The installation team was very efficient. They came in and got everything done in a day. They were very neat and clean. I don't know how they got the tub in and fixed my bathroom back up, but it was perfectly done. My whole bathroom is white, and there wasn't a fingerprint on anything. It was meticulous when they finished.
The gentlemen that put the tub in were very kind. They had come out several times. The first time they came, fortunately, it was so smart of them to have me to test the tub. So they put it out in the garage for me and let me walk in and get used to the tub. We discovered that maybe I could use the larger tub. So, I'm so thankful that they had that insight. While they were here, they gave us a few really good suggestions. They were so helpful, that went over and beyond the call of duty. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable they were. Then when they came back to actually put the tub in, I get infusion, and they came at a time that I was to have that and the doctor had recommended that I shouldn't have persons coming in and out of the house at that time. So, they agreed to come back at another time and put the tub in, and that's what they did.
With the pandemic, there were several things that happened that was beyond everyone's control. It was the storm that was out in Tennessee, that they got hit pretty hard, right at the time that our order was going in. So that was put off a little bit. Then, it was the pandemic that came right after that. That stunted things, but it ended up being put in right on time. As far as the walk-in tub, I love the aromatherapy. I use the water jets for my back and my legs. I had back surgery. So, I had a disc removed and I have two screws in my back. I've taken less pain medication, because now, when it gets pretty bad, I use my tub.

Safe Step's salesman came to my house and sold me one of their tubs. When their installers came in and put it together, they had to come back three different times. There was a stopper that made it so that when I open the door of the tub, it doesn't hit the wall. I showed that to the installer and said that the door doesn't even touch the wall. Instead, it would touch down elsewhere. The installers said they would get me another stopper but they have not done that. I wish I didn't buy the tub. It's very hard to get in and out of the tub. If the user is a bit heavy, he or she can't get through the door easily. I have to sit on the seat and it's not comfortable getting in and out. I don't think this tub is worth it.

I had a car accident last October and I have been in terrible shape to be able to do anything. I just bought my home and it had a nice and big Whirlpool tub in it that I couldn’t get in and out of after the car accident. I finally had to buy the Safe Step tub. This is the best part for me. I have never heard anything like this. I had to use a walker and half the time, I can’t even walk. They gotta put me in a wheelchair, and so, my daughter went in and out of the bathroom when the installers were putting the walk-in tub in, but she didn’t pay any attention. Then later that day, I asked my daughter where the installers put my other tub because our friend gave that to my sister and they took it. I figured they probably put it out in my garage somewhere. I went with my daughter to the garage and look and make sure it wasn’t sitting somewhere that it would get damaged.
When the installer got done putting it in, I asked him about how to use it and he showed me a little bit about that. Then I called him up and said that they didn't put my toilet in the bathroom. He said there wasn't one ordered. I told him there is and it’s written on the paperwork. At first, Troy said he was gonna put in two toilets and then, he knocked it down to one. Then the $800 shower thing that goes on it, couldn’t be done in my house for some reason. That was part of the deal and I’ve seen the advertisement on TV. I guess that was why he was gonna put in two taller toilets for me.
I got a hold of Troy. I told him about the toilet and my tub. He then asked me if I told anything with the installers about the tub, to remove it. I told him that I didn’t think I would have to tell them not to take my tub. He called the installers, and the way it ended up, he said that what they would do is the first time they get a tub from someone else’s house that the people didn’t want, he’d give that to me. I told him that didn’t make sense. They didn't understand, the Whirlpool tub belongs to me. They had no right to take my property. They should have at least asked me if I needed it disposed. There wasn’t anything wrong with it. It was quite new, but I just couldn’t use it because I couldn’t get in and out.
With regards to the toilet, he said that he'd come and put it himself. But at any rate, I never heard from him, and I really need that toilet. I have called Safe Step and left several messages on that 800 number. I wanted to talk to someone about it and see if I’m gonna get my free toilet, or if I need to go ahead and have somebody install one. I don't know what to do.
I really like everything about my tub so far. It is wonderful for me because I couldn’t step up to get in. My whole right side has been numb since the car accident. But I don’t really know anything about it. I notice sometimes after I take a bath, I can be off in the other room and I’ll hear it running and then it cuts itself off. I don't know if it's supposed to do that or not. I thought maybe that has something to do with it draining. I’ve heard it do that twice now. Maybe it's supposed to do that afterwards when it finishes. But I wanna make sure that it’s correct.
Hey Sherrie! Thank you so much for leaving us a review, and making us aware of some of the issues going on. I am 86 years old and had trouble getting out of the bathtub. I’ve got handles I could hold on to, but I would get one leg over the side and the other one I had trouble getting out. So, I had wanted a Safe Step tub for years. I finally got one. The reps were just really nice. They put up a cloth, carpet-like thing all the way from the front door to the bathroom and then all the way around in the hall in front of the bathroom where they wouldn't get anything on my carpet. They cleaned up after their self when they left. I was scared to get in it at first because I was afraid I wouldn’t know how to push the buttons and get something going I didn't want. But I have used it a few times and I really like it.

I went to two competitors and I was getting ready to do the third one. I just wasn't satisfied with what the first one had to offer for the dollar amount that they were charging. The third one was the other one that was on TV, and it looks good on TV. I canceled my appointment with them once the guy came from Safe Step. I like the one he gave me. They had three different types of Safe Step walk-in tubs: the bottom level, middle level, and the higher level which had the temperature monitor on the tub. I didn't have that because that was a little bit more than what I wanted to spend. They gave me the one which had the jets. I like the way it looked. I knew it was expensive, but the price seemed fair and adequate.
When I picked the one, the guy said that because my shower is on this side and the door is here, they would have to get it made with the tub turned around so that the shower is on the other end. I was worried about how would the shower work if the original one was on that face. He said that they run things under the bottom of the tub so I won't have a problem with it. It'd be working correctly, and it is. The guy who put it in was very knowledgeable of what he was doing. He explained everything, how it worked, what knob is for what, and all these.
However, I didn't know that the water would go cold coming in prior to filling all the way up to the top to where the level where it’s supposed to be. If it won't be filled up above the jets, water would go everywhere when turning it on, and I don't want that. He said I could use the other jets for the legs and down in the tub where I anchor my feet without turning the one for the backs on. That's good, but if I wanna use the ones for the back, the water level has to be above those jets.
I only used it one time because the water was cold by the time it got to the first level of jets for the back and I didn't wanna be letting all that water go in the tube and it's cold. Then I would hardly have any warm water in the tub to take a bath because all the cold water going in will make the warm water that’s already in there make that cold. That's the problem I have with it right now. I don't know whether I need to get a bigger tank. But the guy told me I should be okay with the tank that I have. I was gonna call the number that they gave me and I haven't yet.

My parents are not as excited as I thought they would be about the Safe Step walk-in tub that I ordered for them. I'm an occupational therapist and we recommend step-in tubs. Dennis, the rep who came out for Safe Step, told us about all the great features the tub has. How the door would swing in and how the tub would make bubbles all sounded wonderful. I loved the filter as well as fact that the tub is made in the US. The fact that it has a warranty for parts and labor for my parent's lifetime was a big selling point. My parents don't have to go from one place to the other to find a repair person.
However, there are so many bells and whistles and nobody took the time time to explain that to my parents when the tub was installed. They have no idea how to use it. Also, when they put the jets on, the water splashes all over the place and makes a huge mess. That is a huge fall hazard. My parents are older and they don't know about computers and what buttons to press. I'm hoping someone would go to my parents and show them how to use it. I'm going to them to see if I can figure out what the problem is. I don't want my parents to fall. Them having to sit and wipe water is a big red flag for me.
The Safe Step tub is a very expensive piece of equipment and a lesson on how to utilize it is really important. If I am to spend $16,000 on a tub, I need to be able to use it properly. I would love to be able to recommend Safe Step to my patients. However, if my parents are not happy with the tub, I don't know if I would be able to recommend it to other people.

I called up Safe Step and customer service was very good. The rep explained the product very well. We also had to learn ourselves. But I got all the directions and how to clean it. And then the installation was okay. I was right there watching as much as I could. They sealed the tub then used a chemical. I couldn't use the tub for 24 hours because of the stuff they put on it. Everything came out fine.
The only thing was the rep didn't tell me the information if there was a leak. I called up Safe Step up last week or week before and told them to give me a ring to get the walk-in tub repaired. The tub doesn't drain when the tub is full of water. It only does it when the water's going down into the drain. Now, I gotta put a towel and I look over it to catch the water. When I open the tub up afterwards after I finished and water is going down, I look over that and there's water on the towel. It's not that much water and it's not overflowing, but it's enough.
I've been waiting for Safe Step to call so I can get a man to come over and check it. I made a work order for it. I called them up. We've had appointments all this month except the 22nd and 23rd. This is the 23rd and I have nothing going on. I told them I would be here the rest of those two days for them to come over here and look at the issue. I didn't care what time or what day. Now, I gotta go to the doctor tomorrow at 11:15. I want someone to come over here and check the tub because I've got a sick feeling that it’s not sealed right. I've cleaned it underneath and got all the dirt in the seal. I clean it up every day and I wipe it down. But that issue aside, I like it my walk-in tub especially on my legs and my knees. I'm satisfied.

The sales rep was a super nice guy and the thing that I liked about Safe Step is that it had that overhead shower head on. The installation was also all fine and very efficient. A gentleman and his two sons out of Tennessee came and we had a good time putting that thing in. However, the gentleman had a problem because the unit he was supposed to put in here wasn’t where it was supposed to be and he had to go to the warehouse and get it so he didn't get here until the afternoon on the first day. So he came back the next day and finished up.
Afterwards, I contacted Safe Step because the drain wouldn’t hold itself up and then when we would adjust the shower head where we want it, when we turn the water on, it would go all the way to the ceiling. The people I was talking to didn't know the service guy was on vacation so it took a couple weeks. But he came and fixed the shower head for everyone, including myself. He also worked on the drain and held it up. Now, when I get in, get the tub full of water and get all the jets going, I can’t make myself get out. It's so relaxing. I still haven’t figured out how not to get so much water on the outside but I'll figure that out. I’m real happy with the tub.

The first time I sued the tub, I filled it up then got ready to get out. I started to drain it and all of a sudden there was water running out of our commode and flooding our bathroom. Plus, the tub was draining really slowly. It was installed properly but was not tested properly. There is even a sticker on the tub that says it should be tailed and drained. I called Safe Step and asked if we needed to get a plumber out. I was told that they have a plumber with them and that they were gonna put in a six-inch drain so there would be no problem.
When the installer came out, I told him that I didn't understand how putting in a wider drain was gonna solve the problem. The man told me that putting in a bigger drain would take care of the issue. It didn't and I had to sit in the bathtub for three hours before it got drained. My husband had to bail the water out with a bucket. Safe Step doesn't seem all that concerned about issues once their tub is installed and paid for. We had our plumber out and he took care of the issue and the tub has been working since then. I like that with it, I'm able to sit and soak. I like the jets of the tub as well. I'm satisfied with the tub.
Hi Sherry, I am so sorry to hear of your experience with us! That sounds absolutely horrible and I'm glad that the issue has been fixed. Please give us a call at 1-800-989-5101 so that we can take note of this issue. Thank you for the review, and I hope you are enjoying your tub!

I'm getting to where I can't get into a bathtub and I can't stand up in the chair because I'll fall. So I didn't have much choice other than getting one of the walk-in tubs. Safe Step's name was what I went for. One of the guys that put the tub in wasn't very friendly. The other was all right. He said that I had to wait two days and take my bath. I waited about five days and then I had water all over the floor. So I had to make them come out. They came yesterday and said he redone the drain.
I thought I was getting something good by the reputation of Safe Step. Also, they didn't get me what I told them I needed. I needed an outer door open when you step into it. Instead, the door pushes inward. They told me that they didn't make them. But I know darn well they do. I am not pleased with them for not giving me what I ordered. I should just go ahead and make them take it out and go somewhere else. For $14,000, it ain't cheap, and you ain't got nothing on it but the tub and the water coming through. I ain't very satisfied with them. Another thing was when the salesman came here to sign everything up, he told me he needed the code words to my computer to get into it. I didn't understand that and I asked him why he needed to have it. He said that the company needed it.
Hi Edith, we am so sorry to hear of your experience. Please give us a call at 1-800-989-5101 so that we can assist with these issues. Also, please let us know who your salesman was, as asking for your computer information is not part of the protocol and is a little alarming. My husband's 80 and I'm 76. I was diagnosed with cancer and I've fallen several times. We needed something safer for our tub and though we've seen other providers, we really liked Safe Step. We went with them and their installers cleaned up very well. They did an excellent job with the installation. However, there's not enough room through the tub's door where I can swing the door in to get out. I have to sit on the tub's seat or move to one side to be able to clear the door. The door touches my tummy and I'm not heavy at all. I've dropped down to 90 pounds with my cancer. Other than this issue, we love our tub and we're really enjoying it. We like the ease of getting out. I love my showers every night.

My mother has a Safe Step and it has a shower to it, so I decided to get one as well. The sales rep that I spoke with was very knowledgeable and very nice. The installer did a good job too, except up at the top. I've asked him to come back and look at it, but he's not been back. There's a stabilizer up at the top of the shower that he put in and it doesn't look right to me. Then, the back panel of the tub up on the wall doesn't have its gloss to it and I don't know what happened to its finish. Other than that, the installer took the door off of the hinges during the installation and the whole process took two days. The quality of the work done could have been better but I like our Safe Step. It's therapeutic for me because of my back surgeries that I've had as my leg is bad from the nerve damage that I've gotten. I also like that we didn't lose the shower when we lost our tub because my husband is not a tub guy. He’s a shower guy.

Safe Step's rep was very nice and informative. When we bought the tub, he gave us discounts on it because my husband had served in the military. Back then, I put some money down on the tub. When I got papers from the bank that they used, they had charged me the full price instead of the price that the rep had quoted us. That made me mad. When I talked to the rep about it, he said that I could pay the amount owed anytime I wanted. Regardless, they're still charging me interest on that amount.
I told the rep that I wasn't going to accept the tub. He told me that I didn't have a choice. I told him I did and he said he'll have to redo things. Safe Step sent me the discount where we had financed things but then they still left the interest rate on it. I accepted the tub then I went to my bank and got a much lower interest rate on the loan for it. Currently, I love my walk-in bathtub and I have no qualms about it. The guys who came to put it in were very efficient.

I like the Safe Step walk-in tub. Their salesperson has a good personality and I like her. But I was not totally happy with what happened with the installation. They wound up taking up a lot more room. The way my tile floor was, the guy took out the whole tub and it was gonna leave a space and I wasn't gonna get some more tile in there. I would have done it differently.

I couldn't have a bath and I couldn't stand up in the shower. So, getting the Safe Step walk-in tub was a medical-type thing. Their rep was friendly and knowledgeable. Then the installation went wonderfully too. They very much had my thoughts and input in their listing area. I enjoy getting in, sitting down, and filling it with water. I love the air motion the most. The space is fine right now. If I get worse, I will have a little bit of trouble getting in the door and sitting down and having enough room to shut the door. But overall, I had a lovely experience with them.

Safe Step's rep was a nice guy. I got one of their products as I was afraid I couldn't get out of my tub. Their techs who came for the installation didn't clean up like they were supposed to though. I found out to my dismay that a lot of stuff should be changed as they were putting my tub together. First, they put a towel bar standing vertically. Plus, they have a hole in my tub where they took my old shower off. They then put a white piece that they cut to make it look like a diamond shape but then they got it off-center. They should think stuff over and make a pretty design.
Also, I wrote them a check to pay and their guy didn't realize that he would have to use his cell phone to transfer the check to the bank. So they wouldn't accept that. I wrote another one and the next time, I printed their money out. That check bounced so I made the techs a third check. The tech called me asking if they have cashed the check. I checked my account and saw the money was gone. This is ridiculous and things shouldn't go this way.

I had not done anything with my bathroom that concerned the bathtub. I've been here for over 15 years and I've had that same tub for the same time. I couldn't get it cleaned anymore and I couldn't do anything with it. I didn't know what to do so when I saw the ad for Safe Steps, I decided to go with that. At first, I wanted just a corner shower like the garage showers, but they told me that that wouldn't work with the space that I had. I then decided to go with the shower doors. I'm happy with the shower. But I don't think they used the space that they said they were going to use. They had to extend the space about maybe four inches out in order to put in the shower, doors, and everything.
I'm not too happy with the glass doors either because it's not unbreakable. It's not like Plexiglass. I'm always afraid in the case that should I have a dizzy spell or something and fall against the glass. That's about the only thing I was worried about. It took a little more space than I thought it was going to take but the glass doors are okay. I was just hoping I would get something not so wide open. You could see everything in my tub and that's okay too. But I had preferred to have some nice shower doors that would cover everything that's inside my shower.
On the whole, I like my walk-in tub and I'm satisfied with it. It's much better than what I had. I hadn’t had to have to climb over the tub. Now, I just walk in and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm more comfortable with taking a shower, which now with the heat, I take a shower maybe twice a day sometimes. And every night when I come from work at 10 o'clock, I take my shower before I go to bed. That works okay. I have recommended and would recommend the walk-in tub to a friend.

Keith, the guy from Safe Step, came out and their tub was about 1,000 lower than this other company. He was very nice and he seemed to be all upfront. He showed me the paperwork and told me about the free shower thing. It took Safe Step so long to get here. They told me that they'd be out here within a couple of weeks to install it and it took over two months because their factory closed down and they couldn't get the tub. But, that happened to everybody and it wasn't their fault. The installation was very good. They did a really nice clean job in less than a day. Everything has gone smoothly. I was happy with the salesman and with the installer.
I was feeling guilty about what I paid for the walk-in tub, but since I've used it I'm not as depressed about the price. I have back problems, a knee problem and a restless leg where it feels so uncomfortable that they start to quiver and shake and the tub helps me out quite a bit. Also, the guys had left the shower at a certain height and I wanted to lower it. I turned this little key to lower the shower and all of a sudden it just started leaking and this little white circular gasket started going out. I pushed that back down and turned it off. I haven't used the shower since. I called Keith and he said he was gonna call up whoever would be doing the maintenance for them, to set up a date with me to come out here and fix this leak.

I went ahead and contacted them. The rep was very professional and he knew his stuff. He did very well. The installation went really well too. There were no problems as far as hiring them. We were remodeling our bathroom and we thought that a walk-in bathtub might be a good idea. It was excellent dealing with Safe Step and then it took them roughly six to seven hours to install. The quality is good, but it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I'm pretty big and with the way that the tub is made, I have difficulty getting in and out of it because of the way the door swings. Also, the water runs off of it onto the floor. Safe Step needs to put some type of a barrier that keeps the water from running off of it.

A man called me on the phone and I also got a card in the mail explaining the Safe Step walk-in tub. I called and talked to him. In no time, he was here at the house and we went through all the stuff. We looked at it and looked at the construction of it. It looked like it was the best construction. Based on what the salesman told me, the product is made in Tennessee. He worked for Tennessee and installers all come from there. It sounded like a better deal to me.
The installers were really great. They surprised me in lifting the 200-pound tub and getting it in here. You have to come in the kitchen door and lift it up over the kitchen counter then into the bathroom. They had to lift if over the vanity there. They got it over the place. It was just amazing to me that they could lift that thing and move it like they did. They also cleaned great especially with the virus stuff going on here. I had no apprehensions about them coming into the house. They seemed pretty good and healthy when they started.
I had to tear out the door jambs and everything to get the walk-in tub in here. The installers took out the doorcases, a 2x4 framing, and sheetrock. They got the walk-in tub in and set it up and running. But some of that stuff they did needed to be sanded down and the installer said he'd come by and do it. Having somebody be here if he calls or makes an appointment ahead of time, we can probably do it. But I've been getting my own doctor's appointments and my stepdaughter has her doctor's appointments in another direction and there's been a lot going with the three of us. There are times that nobody's here. We're gonna work it in with the repair guys.
I don't know when the guy is coming back to sand down the wall where the sheetrock was replaced. He told me they have another customer about 30 miles from here. He had do some follow-up over there and he'd come back by here and sand down the wall where the sheetrock went in and the door jamb. He said he was coming back so I trusted him to do. They're at Richmond which is about 80 miles from here. As for the paint, I have to do that. I understand that part upfront.
At first, I was not completely satisfied with my walk-in tub. I have not filled the tub up completely with water and have not tried all the jets yet. Neither has my wife or her daughter. I've been using the hand shower mostly. I have a bad hip and I have to sit down. I can't stand up and do it with an overhead shower. I have turned it on and just got wet by it then went to the other handheld shower. I seem to be getting along all right with that now. I made a couple of adjustments in the way I sit in there. I've been able to get my back cleaned and doing it by myself.
I haven't filled the tub completely with water yet, so I haven't done the monthly maintenance thing because there had been no air or water in the jets. I brought the water up to my knees one time and used the jets on the back of my legs and my feet. I just hadn’t had the time to get in there and settle down. There's been a lot going on here. I also haven't discussed much about the walk-in tub with my wife's daughter. She had a little trouble understanding the control at first, but I think I got it going all right on that. My stepdaughter works fine with the shower.
She'll be coming back home and maybe she'll settle down and we can discuss it a little better. There's no problem keeping it clean. The curtain has no problem too. But I haven't got the first water bill since the tub was installed so I don't know how much that's gonna increase on me. I am retired and on a budget. And I can't stand a whole lot of increases right now.
I put the walk-in tub on my homeowner's loan which is the biggest thing. It is only 3.5 interest. I got a discount for doing that because it was like a cash deal. I also got a good discount being a senior and being retired military. I got the price down to where I think it was reasonable. But I’m not sure how long it's gonna take me to pay it off.
We have the tub for safety reasons at home and it's for all three of us. It was very tough for me getting in my old tub by myself. I could hardly get in there. I have a right hip that's in a bad shape. I can hardly walk. The doctor said if I lose 25 pounds, he would put me in a new hip joint. That's where I'm in the process now. That was one of the big steps about getting this Safe Step tub. My wife is having a little bit of trouble too. She's 77. It's the same for my stepdaughter. She's 53. She had her hip joints replaced. She had a lot of serious injuries and a lot of arthritis had been setting in, so the walk-in tub has helped her tremendously by getting in safely.
As far as cost goes, it was outrageous. But I'm happy with my walk-in tub and even the hand shower as it uses less water than what I was using. I used to turn the shower on, leave it on, and sit on a chair to do my legs and everything. The shower stayed on more or less the whole time I was in there. Now, it's just on while I'm using the hand shower. I get wet down doing my shampoo.
If I get in there and start doing a full bathtub thing, it’ll use a lot more water. But the benefits of using the jets and everything, it helps with my arthritis. Once I get a hip replaced, it's gonna help more when I'm doing my therapy stuff to get the body back in shape. It would be so much better there after I've had that surgery. Looking down the road, it's gonna be a big help.
We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience with us, Leroy! Thank you for letting us know, and enjoy!

Also, it was amazing that they could do the installation in one day with just two men. They were fast, courteous and very upbeat. I would recommend them. I have the fold-down seat if I need it and the wand that I can use if I wanted to sit down and shower or when I wash my hair. I love it. My grandson just had knee surgery, so he would come over here and shower. He can get in and out of the bathtub and I get to see him every couple days.

Both my wife and I are in our 90s and we can no longer get in and out of a tub so the walk-in tub has been great. We love it and it has saved our marriage. We like the new shower addition too. It's easy to get in the tub but I have not used it very often lately because I ain't had time. It is a little bit time consuming. On the quick days, I usually do the shower since I gotta run somewhere real quick. The tub is more for me if I want to relax in the evening. It does help me a bit 'cause I do have back and knee issues. I like the jets, mostly. I also like the micro bubbles. It has made some difference in my skin. I'm not one to do the lotion thing and the first time or two I used it, I could tell a difference how soft my legs were.
The only thing that I can't quite figure out is how to get the water hot enough. I've got the tank size that I need, but I don't know if maybe I need to turn my temperature up on my tank. The water coming out of the faucet is cold before it's full. It may be set on the safety setting. Additionally, I did buy some extra wall covering. I told the guy I wasn't in a hurry for it and they brought it the same day. However, I have some other places in my bathroom that have some covering on it, but it doesn't match the same shade. Also, if I'd have realized that things would've ended up the way it ended up, I would've not went in or I would've shopped around to see if I could find if there's anybody that does it any cheaper. But I do like the fact that Safe Step is not that far away in case there are issues.

We’ve got everything but the shower. My wife said that the installers were very good. They installed it efficiently and they cleaned up after themselves. I was very satisfied with the work they did.
We only have a 30-gallon tank and my wife likes her water really hot. So the first time she got in the tub, it didn't really get hot enough for her to enjoy it. We’ve been trying to get an inline tankless heater put in. I had to order it and it took two weeks to come in. Then they came over to the house Wednesday to install it and somehow the manufacturer had put the wrong unit in the box. It was supposed to be an inside unit and they packed an outside unit. So we’re still on hold to get enough water. But I have gone in and filled it up so I can use the jets down at the bottom for my legs and that’s awesome. Safe Step Walk-in Tub works. The price was good and they worked with us on financing. The only thing that slowed up the installation was because we had to wait two weeks for the door. But overall, they’re a great company. I would highly recommend Safe Step to anybody.

My wife has spinal stenosis, and she hasn’t been able to get into the bathtub for two years. So, we decided to have the Safe Step salesman come and see what it was and it was down on my wife's alley. The two nice gentlemen who did the installation and the electricians were excellent. The installation couldn’t be better. The walk-in tub is like a toy and it also relaxes you. But my wife can only do half of it because it relaxes her too much. Also, I have arthritis and it really helps me. We were satisfied with everything that went on. The salesman and I tied in and we really connected and I couldn’t ask for a better experience.

I have difficulty getting in the tub and my family was concerned. If I need to go in and take a shower, they were afraid to let me do it alone. With the Safe Step walk-in tub here, I can go in and sit down and take my shower. The sales rep I dealt with was very good. He was very thorough and he made sure our questions were answered. The installation went fine on my house. Everything went fine. I like that I don't have to worry about trying to take my leg up and fall. I also like being able to walk in and sit down, turn the water on, put the jets on, and lay back and enjoy it. When I get in there and do that, I feel 90% better when I get out. Everything was very good. Safe Step was very well with me. They were very prompt getting back to me. They moved me up a couple of days to get it done even quicker because the lady just lost her husband. She lives by herself and I’m the only one she sees in the real world anymore. She has, literally, no family left. Safe Step was well worth it. The installers did very well. They cleaned up when they were done. I had them add one or two grab bars extra just for the lady as a precaution measure. They did everything they were supposed to do and very professionally. Before I put the tub in, it has been three months before the lady took a bath. She took sponge baths. But now, I have my assistant go in there once a week and give her an actual bath in the tub.

They had to come back and put that on. The installation was nice, clean, and didn't take long. I love the walk-in tub. I have trouble with balance, which is way off. When I had my regular tub, I have to hang on all the time when I got in the shower. I was scared of falling, which was why I got Safe Step. We use our Safe Step Walk-in Tub regularly and we enjoy it. We are able to take a nice hot bath. We can use the water jet or the air jet or the micro-cleaning. We can also shower at the same time. So, if we didn’t have the shower capability, it would not be as useful ‘cause that’s currently the only shower we have in the home. The Safe Step sales representative we dealt with was very professional, very thorough, very knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. The installation went very smoothly and fast. I decided I wanted to look into Safe Step. I have a son-in-law that works for Ferguson and I asked him for information, he gave me two phone numbers, and it was very simple. I didn’t call Safe Step first. I called the other people first and they let me know that there would be a fee for them to come out here and discuss it with me. I said, “You’re gonna charge me to try and sell a major item? I’m not gonna do that. You can go spend your time and effort somewhere else.” So, then I called Safe Step, and their representative out of Grand Junction came down and did an excellent job.
The installation was amazing. I’ve seen a lot of people that know what they’re doing and how to do it, but those two young people did an outstanding job. I was impressed in terms of how well they worked together and how fast they were able to get that job done. And I’m not shocked anymore in regards to both lack of quality or great quality. The tub has everything. The MicroSoothe Air Therapy System is my favorite feature. The tub certainly was what I was looking for, so I’m perfectly happy.

We had someone come over and talk to me. The installers did a fantastic job on it. They were polite and they knew what they were doing. But according to the inspector that came out and inspected the work, they put the wrong circuit breaker in. They sent a copy of the letter to Safe Step and they hadn't got out here yet. They also didn't tell me that I had to get a bigger hot water heater. I have to find a 80-gallon water heater so I haven't got to use the tub except for the shower. I love the shower in it. I would recommend my friend or neighbor to get Safe Step Walk-in Tub instead of getting bathtubs especially if they’re as old as I am 'cause it's easy to get in and out. They treated me right and the experience was pretty good.

We have a good experience with Safe Step. I read about them on an ad in The American Legion Magazine. We then interviewed other people and other tubs, but we felt that there was more quality with them. Their quality control was the best -- the three-inch step to get in and out. The rep who came out was wonderful. He is our friend. His knowledge and professionalism are both 5-star. The installation went smoothly. Dave from New Haven came down and he was fine. So far, our walk-in tub has lived up to its hype. The getting in and out is the biggest thing for us. The safety precautions would have to be up there.

The sales rep did really good. And then, they came out and installed the tub. It took them five hours. I live in an old log cabin and they made my bathroom just look beautiful.
I did a double-take because the guys that came out were kids and most of them are more in tune with their telephone than anything, but those kids got right to it. They had to take the frame out of my bathroom in order to get the tub in, and they replaced that. They not only replaced that, the door stuck a little bit. They took a little extra time. They fixed the door so it wouldn't stick. I live by myself. So, bathroom doors aren’t something that I’m really worried about. It never got up to the top of the list. But they did a fantastic job. They came in and they said, “We could take the walling all the way up to the ceiling like he told you.” But he said, “This is a better deal. It’s acrylic, it’ll last longer, it looks good. And you’re only gonna have your wall stick out like, I don’t know, four, five inches.” So, he put the better stuff in. They were just fantastic and polite. I couldn’t ask for anybody better to deal with.
There were a lot of things that I didn’t know about the tub that added to the thought that it would be a good thing for me. I’m getting older. I have a friend that comes to visit who is handicapped and she loves it and especially the jet tub. I got all of their options and it works for me. I can go and sit in that tub and 20 minutes later, I’m out cold. I also had their micro-thing and of course the heated seat, which is standard. I also got the air where it just bubbles everything up. And I got the shower. Most of the time, I just want to shower in the morning, but at night, when I get through farming and ranching, I can sit in that tub and relax and when I get up, I’m a regular noodle. I don’t ache anywhere, I don’t hurt anywhere, and I can sleep.

I like taking a bath and the Safe Step Walk-in Tub enables me to be able to get in the tub with ease. It has the lights, which are kind of irrelevant. It has the feet jets, seat jets, and the heated seat. It also has the cleaning bubbles. We were not told that those water bubbles would clean the unit. But the instructions that we got did tell additional things we'd need to do to clean so it wasn't a big deal.
The rep was very nice and accommodating, but he didn't relay everything to the people that installed the walk-in tub. We were going to run a 220 wire from our box to that area but the installers were not aware of that. They were thinking that it was a 110. They were gonna have to call an electrician to do that. But the electrician never called us to set up a time so we did not do it. They said that they would knock off the money if we could do that. But, that didn’t get done and we really didn’t get any benefit of that charge. We didn’t have it installed and they had given us an allowance of $250 for it or whatever. We were told that a 50-gallon water heater was all we would need for it. That's not correct because we've purchased a 50-gallon one and it still runs out of hot water before it gets filled up. So we’re not gonna turn right around and spend another $400 and buy an 80-gallon or whatever we need.

And they were in a big hurry, they didn’t do what they said they did. They didn’t tell me the drainage wasn’t fast enough.
On the second call, Safe Step has done everything possible to help me get adjusted to this tub. Not blaming the company and I think the installer was a nice guy, but he didn’t bring me into the tub. I have heard about walk-in tubs and I went online and looked up, and I checked out Kohler and I checked out American, and I checked out Safe Step. I called and made appointments, and the Kohler could not give me what I wanted because my water heater is too small. They said I need a larger water heater and I didn’t want to have to redo all of that work. And American was going to go try, but I didn’t like the way they talked to me.
Amy came out and I liked her. She and I got along very well. And we took measurements and she says the tub was a little bit smaller than what the Kohler was, but it would work perfectly in my bathroom and with my water heater. So, that’s what I got and I love it. I like the fact that I don’t have to worry about falling out of the tub. Also it helps quite a bit. I have spinal stenosis, and when I use it, it helps with it so like my legs don’t bother me in that as much. Plus I can do exercises in the tub. My legs moving like I’m riding in a bicycle.

The installation was done very well. The crew was good and very cooperative. They got the work done in a hurry. Everything was neat. They did a good job but there are some things I had or questions happened, and I want to get somebody over here to go over the tub operation again. The engineering of the situation could be improved and I wanted somebody talking to me about that. And I wanted to get more information about the operation. I didn't realize that that drain comes on so late. That wasn't explained to me.
When I called the service, the woman was a hell of a woman. I tried to tell her what was going on and she tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about and why was I calling. I was calling for information. So, I said I wanted to talk to somebody and then she said she would get me one. Then she put me on that recording where you have all that music in the background. I waited and waited until I just hung up. I was not very happy about that. It's not good for Safe Step to have somebody who acts like she did, when somebody tries to call about some problems.
I've used the tub about three times now. I love soaking and everything. I've got leg problems and that was great. The tub helps me out with that. The delivery of water, for one thing, is slow in some cases. The two shower things aren't working right. I finally got it to work, so I get the lower shower to work. And I like the design changed a bit. I didn't know of that hot water but I got that working right. So, I got a lot of it going. Everything's going pretty well. And the other thing was after I took a bath, it was 45 minutes later, all of a sudden, that water clear out that the tub has goes on. I thought something was wrong with the motor or something like that.
That's when I called the rep. I was just trying to find out something about it. But nobody told me it was going to take 45 minutes before the pump comes on to get rid of the water. I started to realize that after I did it a second time. Somebody else who has a tub said something to me about it. It just seems strange to wait 45 minutes to get any water left in the system out of there. You think it would happen within maybe 5 or 10 minutes of the tub completely being drained. So what I wanted was to get somebody back here who I could talk to about some improvement on the design, with the shower curtain and so forth, and the lips of the tub. There's a problem with it because of the way the plumbing goes. But still, there could be things that could be done in the design. I'm an industrial mechanical engineer, and that's what I was trying to tell that woman. I know a lot about engineering and design.
For example, the two-shower system that Safe Step has. I like the handheld shower. I use it all the time. But this other shower is much too high. That's one of the things I did not like. The way the plumbing was designed coming into it, you have a splash thing against the wall and against the back of the tub, but not in the front. So, you take the shower, you can't get the curtain around the shower, so that shower can just splash out and roll right onto the floor of the bathroom. That's the design problem of whoever the engineers were. That's why I want to talk to somebody I can point these things out, that can improve their product.
I like to get the crew that helped put the tub in for me first because the guy and I understood each other. And I can talk to him a little about it because he installs these things all the time. I like to get his views on what my thoughts are. I made myself clear about what I would like to do, what I would like to get. Because the tub is great. There are some things that they just didn't think about. I wanna help myself and I wanna help Safe Step because the tub is a great idea.

Everything that I saw in Safe Step Walk-in Tubs on the video when I looked it up online put the rest of the places I looked at to shame. Their installers were all friendly and nice. They were proficient and they did pretty good. There was some miscommunication but we worked it all out. The whirlpool tub is one of my favorite feature and also the microbubbles. But a thing I don’t like about it is the showerhead. As much as you tighten it and then if you finally put full pressure of water to it, it shoots up to the ceiling. Also, I spill water on my floor when using the tub once in a while. So if Safe Step will ever redesign, there should be little runners that put the water back into the tub so the water doesn’t go off behind the seat.

The sales rep we dealt with was nice and informative. And the crew that came out for the installation was nice. They seemed like they knew what they were doing and they were here for quite a while. They were here for 12 hours and they were determined to get it done. It was after 9:30 at night before they left, but we gave them permission to stay that long rather than coming back. They said they were gonna drive back home, which is almost 100 miles away and we had a couple of extra bedrooms which we offered to let them stay overnight. But they said no and that they needed to get back home. One of them left his shirt here, which I’ve washed. If he ever comes back this way, I’ll give it to him. I've been wanting a walk-in tub for 15 years, or longer. I was wanting to buy one many years ago but at the time, we decided it wasn't in our budget to do that. So I have done some homework for a while on them. I had looked at the Jacuzzi brand earlier but it seemed like every week, I would get something in the mail or see something in a flyer somewhere about Safe Step. It seemed like Safe Step was flashing in front of my face every time I turned around. It seemed like it was an omen that I had to call and check it out so I did and then I liked their warranty program. I just hope it all stands up to what they say if I have any issues.
The sales rep was great. He answered all of my questions but I didn't really have very many questions either because he answered them before I asked them. I've gotten a new tape measure out of it too because he went off and left the tape measure. I called him before I thought he was too far but he told me to just keep it. He said it was a bad habit he has and that he buys them by the dozen because he does it all the time. The installation team did good as well. We've had a couple of issues but that wasn't their problem. It was my plumbing issue. They came to put the tub in one day and they had to come back the next week. My house is 40 years old and before they put the tub in, they wanted a plumber to come in and look at the drain, which I appreciated. They wanted to make sure it was draining well and it was easier to do it when it was all open than after the tub was put in. So we got put back about a week.
They also didn't get to complete the job 100% but it's not their fault. They happened to be the first step of remodeling this bathroom. I was aiming to have the bathroom more torn out before they got here. But the guy that's been doing all my work has not been able to be here for almost two months because of other issues with all this virus stuff going around. The guys had to do more tearing out than they were hoping they would have to do. So they did good.
They also couldn't put the handrail on the wall or the baseboard that goes across the front. They said that they weren't gonna put that in because a new floor was coming in and they didn't wanna put some of those finishing touches until all the new tile work got done because it was just gonna have to come off. So they didn't do some of the caulking work. So they left all the stuff here and showed me the instructions. I guess they would leave those normally so the guy that comes could finish it out for me.
I haven't been able to use the shower part of it but we have used the little handheld a little bit and I always wonder if the microject is working right. It's where it's supposed to put the air to help clean your skin where you supposedly don't have to use soap. On the little video they left that shows a girl doing exercise in the tub and in the way the guy talked to me, you could always see a cloud forming when that would come in. So if you do that very first thing, I can see the cloud coming in. But if you do the water jet first and then do the microjet last, I don't see any cloud.
I was under the impression that there wasn't an order, that you could do them however you wanna do them. If you wanna do the micro thing first, middle or last, it would always work. But is there a sequence that you should do those things? There is also a little knob inside the tub that adjusts the pressure against the jets but I don't know if that works for sure because when I turn it, I don't see no difference. But overall, I enjoy the tub.

My uncle, who was up in years, was coming to live with us and wanted to have a walk-in tub. We started looking around and Safe Step was the one that met all his requirements. The installers were absolutely perfect. They were neat, kind, and answered the questions we had. Although the way they made the doorway wider wasn’t perfect, it was all right. There was not much they could do there. The installation took them about six hours, but we enjoyed their time. They were whistling or singing and had great camaraderie between them. They also had great efficiency between them.

I was having a lot of trouble after my spine surgery and I thought it would be easier for me to be able to get in and out of one of those tubs. The reps at Safe Step were great and the tub feels good. It was wonderful the first time I used it. But I took a fall inside it and I had to call emergency people to get me out. I got my leg caught in the bottom. Getting in was okay but getting out was what my problem was. We decided that maybe it's something that I can't get in and out of. I'm handicapped so I need help and that didn’t do it.
The two people who handle that type of situation said it has never happened before. The guy didn't know what to do. But that's the problem. I thought it was something that I could use and that's easy to get in. But the first time I used it, I ended up almost in the hospital. And I'm still paying the price right now because I got a right hip problem and a leg problem. But we’re already making arrangements to have it replaced with a shower made for me where I wouldn’t have to step in. They already came and measured. They got all the information they need and they're sending it over to the office. Safe Step is taking the tub back and we're gonna negotiate how much the difference would be. They’re trying to make sure that I get what I was supposed to get in the first place.

The installers Safe Step sent were very nice, informative, and clean. They cleaned up after themselves which made me happy. And they showed us how to use the bathtub. It was wonderful. I have bad knees and I'm getting ready to have knee surgery so for me, the ease of getting in and out is the good part. I also like the fact that besides it being a bathtub, it's also a shower. The whirlpool and the bubbles are relaxing. Jumping in it is my relaxing. After dinner and the dishes are done, and the laundry is done, and the house is clean, I'm gonna go sit in the tub, turn on my music and try not to fall asleep.

My wife has some pretty bad back problems and getting in and out of a regular bathtub is a little bit dangerous. We got Safe Step and their reps were all professionals. They did a good job. Also, it’s a very nice tub. It’s well-constructed. There was some foreign material that came out and the thermostat didn't wanna turn at first. But after it was all rinsed out and we got enough hot water in there, it’s great.

When we looked at Safe Step in the book, it looked pretty nice and we decided to get it. Plus, we watched it on TV. The installation went all right. I like that you don't have to bend all over to get in the tub. You could stand up or sit down, which is more comfortable. It's just like sitting in a chair. But if I was fat, it would be hard to get in especially when you open the door and step in. You still kind of bump your leg. I like the colors and the lights on it too. I have mostly been doing the shower part and haven't tried the jets yet, but I'm sure I'll get into it when I get the time. You also don't have to worry about slipping and falling. The floor protection on it is kind of rough on your feet, which I like.

I called Kohler, American Standard and Safe Step, and in Albuquerque, the only one that had a person that could come out and put it in was Safe Step. The sales person seemed pretty nice but was very frustrated because I wouldn’t take it the first go-round. He was so pushy. But I had a couple of things I had questions about, so we worked those. He was a typical salesman in the way he worded things. When the contractor came, we had put in there that we wanted the tub, not destroyed. We wanted it out. The salesman said that the contractor could probably do that and he would work on it.
When they came, the guys said, “We don’t do this at all.” I told them the salesman said they would at least try. The first day, they didn’t even put in the tub. The contractor wasn’t available. That was Wednesday. So, he came in Thursday and we talked about it. He said, “We don’t do that." I was very angry about the fact that the salesman had led me to believe they would at least try. We had to go back and really think that one through, but I had a mother that has compression fracture back and needed a safe place to get a bath. She had also fallen again since then and had 5 stitches in her eye and a black eye. So, I really needed a place for her to get a safe bath. I had a 17-inch tub in my bathroom, which made it very unsafe.
If the salesman hadn’t lied to me in the first place and said they couldn’t do it, I would have gotten another contractor in here and removed that tub before they ever came. I was angry about that. I would not recommend him as a salesman at all. The contractor did end up compensating me with about a quarter of what the tub would have cost. The contractor was nice, but we ended up with a couple of challenges with him and that he’s a little fudged on time. It took longer than what they had kinda said. His people didn’t show up on time. They came in the morning then they didn’t show up the rest of the day.
They started Friday and came back Saturday. He did not tell me they weren’t coming back. He told me they were coming back, that he had another crew coming in right after the one guy demolished the tub and took it out. He spent Thursday telling me that the best way to do it is to have 2 days. I wasn’t opposed to 2 days, per se, although Safe Step promises pretty well that they’ll do it in a day. I was willing to work with that. They had to change the drain as my drain was on the wrong side of the room. I understood that and that made sense. He had to take that concrete out, redo the drain, then put in another piece of concrete. It would be best if they dried it overnight. That’s pretty reasonable.
Safe Step does not have their act together. Their contractor and their salesman do not work together. I’m 66 so I’m not exactly the springiest chicken, but for somebody that has any type of mental issues and are really needing the Safe Step because of physical disabilities, working with them would be very frustrating and they would be very much be taken advantage of.
Hi Karen, I am so sorry to hear of your experience with Safe Step. I would be frustrated too, and this miscommunication should have been prevented. We’ve been looking at advertisements for quite some time in different magazines and on television. I happened to pick Safe Step out to ask for additional information on their product and we had a salesman calling us. He explained it even more and we were pleased with him. He was very knowledgeable and very good. On installation, two young fellas came here that I figured didn’t know what they were doing, but it turned out they were very knowledgeable and hard workers. Everything went fine. They had some problems getting it in, which we all understood, but I would highly recommend them. Other than that, I heard from talking to local plumbers that it took so long to drain the water out of the tub and they weren't in favor of it. But we found the opposite. It drains out very fast and that was a 5-plus.

Jill, the salesperson I dealt with, did a fine job. I was sold on having the tub before she ever showed up, and I called and asked her to come. I knew what I wanted. I went with Safe Step because of the shower package -- the others just have a hand-held shower. The installation team was fantastic. They were wonderful. They were here by 8 o’clock in the morning like they said they would be, and it took them about eight or nine hours. Mine was a tricky situation and they had to run an electric line, so it was good.
However, the water gets cold before the bathtub will fill up. My husband, who has dementia, takes a bath, but he doesn’t like to sit still that long for it to be able to fill up. Whenever his caregiver is here, I take a bath and I love it. But, it takes at least an hour to enjoy the tub, and I don't have enough time. So, we’ve just been using it as a shower and it works wonderfully. I’m gonna get a tankless water heater put in, so that I’ll have plenty of hot water, and that way, anytime I get a chance, I can take a bath.

I had Kohler come by and they never informed me that my wife would need to be there. The salesman walked in and said that if she was not gonna be there, we couldn't do anything that day. He was a little rude and arrogant, so I didn't even set another appointment up with him. American Standard was supposed to come by as well. The appointment was for 10 o’clock and at 9:30, the guy called me and said he couldn't make it, that he wasn’t feeling good. It sounded like he just woke up. On the same day, Safe Step came by and the salesman was polite. He was straightforward with everything. However, all of them were just a scam.
When you talk to them, they tell you they’ll give you a price that’s good for a year and they do, but that price is about $4,000 more than the price if you buy it today. I would've went ahead and got prices with someone else, but seeing that it was gonna cost me $4,000 and my wife seemed to like the tub, then we just went with it. Once they got their money and got a deal though, they were done with us. When I got the tub, the air jets weren’t working correctly and I’ve had no feedback from the salesman. When we bought it, he told me he would be the man that I would be dealing with if there were any problems. When I called him about the problem, he said I needed to call another number and I’ve not heard anything back from him since. It took me a long time to get ahold of anybody to get things done too.
Once I got ahold of them, they got there and got it done. They had to cut the concrete in the drain. They just put it up on a tube and board and blocked it up, so instead of being a three-inch step, it’s roughly a four-and-a-half. That’s not a big deal, but it’s not what I was told when it was sold to me. All in all, we’re happy with the tub, but I’m not real thrilled over Safe Step's service. I’d tell them the same thing if they’d call and ask me too. I would've thought after they came, worked on it and did the repair, someone from their customer service would call and ask how things were going, but it’s nothing.
Hi James, I am so sorry to hear your experience with our service was not a pleasant one. I completely understand your frustration, and will be making our service team aware of this. I liked the way Safe Step's Walk-in Tub was built. I can soak my legs in it. I have circulation problems and it really helps. The Safe Step rep showed me everything and basically ran me through everything. He was here for a long time. Then the crew called me and came right on time like they said they were going to. They got here between 8:00 and 9:00 and they left at 8 o'clock that night. They worked their butts off and did a fine job. Whatever they got paid, they deserved it. Those guys who came here and worked and the sales rep were really good people.

After I called Safe Step, Randall came out and he was excellent. He told me that the tub would help with your aches and pains, and my wife has more than I do. I really got it more for her than I did me because it’s a safe tub, and I’m really happy with my decision. The whole thing is excellent. I like the way it lets me soak and so does my wife. Plus you can exercise in the tub. The DVD shows you how to do some exercise in the tub. The tub is really doing my wife some good. It has helped her to loosen up some of her muscles. It’s very good for her back and her legs as well because she's got OA in her right leg and issues with her back back from doing a lot of heavy lifting in her lifetime. The tub has relieved all the pressure in it.
The installation team was great as well. At first, the tub didn't fit so we had to go to the smaller one because our house is small. They let us know what's gonna happen and it happened. The installation didn't take time. They worked just a day and their work was excellent overall. My wife loves the Safe Step people. If she does have a problem, they call her back and tell her what she needs to do. She's happy with that. We did have a problem with the remote control and they sent us another one but my wife had gone ahead and fixed it. It’s working fine now and we've got two remote controls. The company really treats us good.

We’re getting up in age and my mom is with me now so we needed the tub. But the very first tub Safe Step installed was leaking. They couldn’t even turn the water on. It would just leak and leak. They didn’t sign off on the work and they had to send a crew out. But the tub sat there for about three weeks and Safe Step ended up putting a brand-new tub in. The guy demonstrated but I noticed he did it from the remote control. They should have tested it because once you turn the pump on and you turn the arrow, it moves the water around but they should have put their hands over the jets to see whether they were coming out and they were not. If my mother hadn’t seen that the other day, I never would have known it.
My mom asked what the jet on her back was supposed to do and I said the water pressure should be coming out there. I thought maybe she didn't know how to work it but when I went and checked it, she was right. I filled the tub up to the brim and found out that the jet wasn't working. I let the water out and I put the water in for the foot jets and they weren’t working either. So first, I called Jason and we went through an over-the-phone test-running to find out that we got a problem with that tub and that none of the jets were working. Then he got me to call in the work order, which I did, and then when Safe Step took their information out, they had to order a pump diverter. The rep said they’ll be calling me and letting me know when the part comes in and they'll make an appointment. I hadn’t heard anything from anybody but I’ll give them a little time to catch up, considering COVID-19.
But I am a little concerned because it’s a $16,000 tub and those are two brand-new tubs. I chalk it up to this – it’s a 2020 tub and when you've got a brand new product like that, you’re gonna have some problems in them until you work the bugs out of them. Right now, my mom can use the tub and she can take a bath in it but she’s not able to get the benefits out of it if she really wanted. Even I have a lot of ailments and I’m not able to use that tub. My wife and I do have a jacuzzi tub in our bathroom but the Safe Step tub has got super-tub jets. On the other hand, the guys who came out were professionals, as far as their attitudes, and that’s a plus for them. They came in and got their job done, no mulling or complaining. They did a good job in installing. It isn't their fault the tub isn't working.

The sales rep was a good guy. He was very knowledgeable, and knew what he was doing. I also got Safe Step because they are made in Tennessee and without the installation, things would've been great. The installers were a father and son team. They were amicable, but they were slurd and snot on a doorknob in the East Coast in January. The eight-hour installation took three days and it was not bad for the first time they ever installed a tub. Unfortunately, they said they've been installing them for years. They seemed very amateur. Not only were they two hours late the first day, but they also blew four hours turning off the water. I didn't hear any work and when I went out there, I asked what was going on. They were sitting out by the turn-off for the water and said they couldn't get it to move.
I asked why they didn't tell me then I called BVU. They were out here in 10 minutes and turned the water off. All in all, the tub is wonderful when it works. It was a little cool and I have had to upgrade my water heater since then because it wasn't doing enough work. I grew up in California as a surfer and I can take the cold water, but my wife froze to death. I liked the final product and getting enough hot water in it ought to be great. As long as it's warm, we can get my wife in it.

I couldn't step up to get into the tub that I had and decided to get a Safe Step walk-in tub. I came to find out that my hot water tank did not produce enough hot water to get it to work properly for the top jets for the back. You need 40 gallons and getting a new water heater is out of our expenses. Also, the door is a little bit narrow. Getting in through the door and getting it shut is harder if you're a little bit overweight. You have to sit down on a cold tub to get the door shut. I'm dissatisfied with my Safe Step experience.

My fiancée liked Safe Step Walk and we decided to go with it. When the first guy walked in, I showed him what needed to be done and what the salesman said would be done. He then looked on his phone and saw all the areas marked out that needed to be done. The installers were gonna rebuild my floor and reset the commode. I got a new commode and sink. They were gonna put that in for me. They were also supposed to lay an underlayment underneath the tub because it was original wood. The guy said that he wasn't getting paid enough money to do that job. I told him to pack his bags and get on down the road.
I called his company, and his company called me back, and that next week, they had a crew out there that knew what they were doing. The second crew that came out did a good job. They got here at about 7:30, started at around 8:00, and finished up at about 5:00. I like the shower and I found using Safe Step to be good. I’ve got one leg, so it worked out good for me. Everything went well during the installation of the Safe Step Walk-in Tub of Larry who has been in my care for over years now. I couldn't have asked for better people to install it in this home. We've had a lot of theft as people who have come in and out have picked up anything that's not nailed down and tried to walk out the door. None of that happened with any of the kids who installed the tub from Safe Step.
One time though, I put Larry in the shower to clean his bottom half. Then, I took him out of the bathroom and put him on the bed. All of a sudden, I heard water going and I saw that someone had messed with the controls of the Safe Step. I couldn't figure it out so the water ran all night long.
