Buyer beware! Power Home Remodeling in Southeastern Michigan is terrible. They are so overpriced and attempted to pull a scam on me at the end of the siding job. Someone pretending to be a Quality Manager comes after the job is complete (a quality manager would be assigned and on site multiple times throughout the job) and tells me my roof is in serious trouble and I need a new one for $40K. A complete scam. I have to pay a 3rd party roof inspector to validate these findings which were completely false. They are thieves. I've had a few problems that they are now refusing to fix. How does a door handle just fall off a $7K door. This place is overpriced garbage. Do not even look at this company. They are a joke!

We liked Power Home Remodeling's warranty and their products. We purchased windows from them and were able to customize our order with the type of the windows we chose and the time they put them in. The sales rep was thorough and he knew his product. The install team was fabulous. They were on time, efficient and knowledgeable. Their quality of work was excellent. I would recommend them to a friend. Power Home Remodeling has a good product and a great warranty.

We had bad customer service from the last home improvement company we used to do our windows and they had only done half the windows, so we decided to give Power Home Remodeling Group a shot. Their rep knew exactly what they were gonna do. He wasn’t 100% knowledgeable about stuff like basement windows but he was a good kid. The installers were fantastic and they did a really good job. I would recommend them to anybody. Power Home Remodeling Group was very friendly, responsive, and they offered a good price. They provided good customer service. In fact, the project manager came to our home and inspected the work after they were done.

Beware when approached by this company for a “free” estimate. A pre-salesperson coming door-to-door finally convinced us to schedule for the same day, with a 3 hour notice. Not much time to do any research. We were clear we did not have a lot of time, and assured it would be quick. When at 7 pm sharp the actual salesman came, he was professional, polite, informative and enthusiastic. The presentation and window measurements took at least 3 hours. Even with my better-than-average knowledge of home improvement costs, I was convinced by the well-produced presentation and clever psychological manipulation that their vinyl windows were far superior to anything anyone else sold anywhere.
We were finally presented a price of over $34,000 for 17 double-hung windows, two bays, a plant window and a patio door. My initial reaction was that was extremely high, and though I asked for an itemization, I never received it. I was just distracted with more numbers and financing options, and guaranteed that no one could beat their prices (they showed some supposed similar invoices from competitors). There was a “today only” option of financing for $422 a month at 9.9% interest for 12 years (that comes to $60,000 in the end!). But the “if we have to come back” price was over $900 a month at 19% financing. This seemed very distasteful, but the explanation seemed logical that the way they can save you money is by not spending a lot of time on estimates.
We eventually reluctantly agreed to sign a contract, honestly mostly because the salesperson was so nice, the product seemed great, it was 11 pm and I was exhausted, I thought we could pay off the terrible loan in a year or so with a home equity loan, and there was a three-day cancellation allowance. The next day when more alert, I began to have some regrets that the price was exorbitant. I quickly scheduled some additional estimates with some local reputable companies. Even companies Power claims to be cheaper than gave me better prices on comparable products. We made the decision to instead go with a local company who offered me a price of $26,000 for all windows mentioned above plus an additional bay window, all in composite, a far superior material to the vinyl Power was offering.
We contacted Power well within their 3-day cancellation policy. There is no way to directly contact the salesperson, you get directed to a “cancellation department.” A “cancellation specialist” was sent out because they said we needed to sign additional cancellation documents to the ones we faxed in. We took time off work for this. This person turned out to be an aggressive sales manager. In having us answer some survey questions, it was obvious his goal was to throw his salesperson under the bus, but we insisted he was great, it was that we decided we could not afford it, trying to avoid conflict. He said they never get cancellations ever, so it must be something the salesperson did. He then launched into a line of questioning about our finances, wanting to know why we could afford it one day but not the next.
His frustration quickly turned to anger when he was not getting the answers he wanted. He implied we were crazy or negligent for not proceeding because our windows are so bad. He insisted we should just do some now. My husband stopped him, said we were done, said this pushy behavior is exactly why we don’t want to use the company, and he blurted, “Even if I could save you tens of thousands of dollars you would not go with us?!" (The job was only tens of thousands to begin with...) At this point my husband told him to get out of our house. He shouted at us on the way out that he might have to fire the salesperson for selling us a job on a house that was in my parents’ name (he got permission from someone and it shouldn’t matter anyway), implying it was our fault. Turns out, there was no paperwork to sign... The estimate might have been free, but the aggravation definitely was not.

Power Home was the first development company that came by and we were really impressed with their presentation. Their sales team was good. The installers were good too and they were fast. We got a total of 17 windows and a sliding door. We went with white and everything was the same, except we changed some that were regular windows with no openings, and we had it where they slide open now. I am almost 100% satisfied with the quality of work done. But, I wish they could communicate a bit. There were things on some screen upon the installation and I was under the impression I was gonna have another person come out and do a final walk-through.
When they were installing and they wanted me to sign off, I thought the guy would explain to me that somebody else was gonna come by. Looking then, I gave myself a day to look at all the windows, and we noticed some screens that weren't put in well and a couple of things wrong. They’re gonna come out on May 15 but it was a struggle getting them then to come back out. Nonetheless, Power Home had great service and they did a good job compared to what it could’ve been.

I've known about Power Home Remodeling Group at Sam's Club and they were the first one to respond on my questions about insulation. First, I had insulation in my attic. But then when they came over here, they checked and have two windows added to the project, so we also had two windows replaced. The installation was great and they were fast. We contacted them in December and everything was already set up for the insulation by the end of January. And the same thing happened with the windows. They came over in February and the windows were done by beginning of March. The overall quality of the work done was great. They were very proactive and they called over and over constantly letting me know where we were standing in the process and asking for feedback. They also always send somebody to come and check the work.

Our house was completely flooded and we were in the rebuilding process and we needed windows. I figured I'd give Power Home Remodeling Group a go. I purchased windows from them and they were exactly what I wanted. They were all custom windows and Power Home worked with me to do exactly what I needed. The sales rep was very thorough and patient with us. It was late when he came out but that was the only way he could meet with us because my wife is working. We had a lot of questions because it was quite an investment, but he listened to us and got us where we needed to be at the end of it. I totally believed in it so that was important to us also.
The installation team was amazing and they did 12 windows in one day and it was way ahead of time. When they got there, I thought I had to take another day of vacation to be there, but they were done before they said they would be done. And everything was square and fitted and insulated and in place, and they cleaned up and I could never tell they were there other than the new windows. The work was incredible. I would recommend Power Home and if I see Power Home talking to someone, I stop and recommend that they use Power Home for whatever. I regret not using them for my roof, but I had my roof lined up when they came in and it was already taken care of. But had I known, I would have used them.

The people that live across the street from us had work done by Power Home Remodeling and they introduced the company to us. Everybody there was great. The work was very professionally done and we were very much satisfied.

Everyone was always ready to explain every project thoroughly with patience and clarity. All of the materials used were top quality and the workmanship was perfect. They did such a good job with my roof that I hired Power to do my doors. After the doors were complete I put the finishing touches on my house with the window caps. I love the way my house looks and I feel secure about the fact that all of the work will last for a long time to come.

Windows and installation were excellent. Only issue we had with calls to and from main offices -- would only listen to my husband, even though he told them anything I called about would be agreed by both of us - a bit chauvinistic on more than one occasion; don't get it in today's world but because of the excellent product, I would buy additional windows if needed.

Power Home has been great with everything we needed and we like the quality of the replacement parts that we bought from them. They helped us out with all the replacement windows. We customized it, with the flats in between the windows, the screen-type, and minor items. We had a rep that came to our house. He spent many hours with us doing the quote and getting us approved for all we wanted to do. And then, the project managers did follow ups through the whole field process and construction process. They would make sure that I was satisfied with everything.
They sent one crew on site to do the windows. When they realized they didn’t have enough manpower on-hand, they brought in another crew. They finished the job all in one day. The windows are holding up great and we love them. They're much more energy efficient. Power Home Remodeling is a good company to work with and hopefully, their products last long as they say they will.

I found out about Power Home from my field salesman who walked up to my front door. I liked what he had to say and then he made arrangements for a formal proposal. I sat down with that sales representative and went through the materials and how they would do it. We spent about five or six hours together and went through all the details of answering my questions and finding out exactly how they would propose to attack my problem. I had a roof and siding issue because some of the siding is above the roof on the second storey. The concern that I had was what do they do first -- put a new roof on and then have the siding people climb on the roof, or do the siding first and then rip the roof off and have to deal with closing up the joint between the roof and the siding. That was something that we had and we talked through in great detail.
The roof was put on in one day where they came and ripped off the old roof and put the new one on. There were about eight guys and they were climbing all over the house, some of which was two-storeys high and some only one-storey high. They were everywhere and they did a nice job of getting stuff off. We only had one minor accident where a piece hit the side of the screen window and it cut through the screen, but that was promptly replaced. They took all the materials down and loaded it up into a trailer that they had brought the new material in and swept up the yard. It looked like nothing had happened.
Three or four days later, the siding people came and it was a different crew of people, and they were here for two days. They started on Wednesday and were gonna come back Thursday, but they canceled because they were afraid they were gonna get rained on. So they came back on Friday and finished up the job. They had a dumpster and all the waste went into that and they generally did a very good job of picking up. I found a small collection of staples and nails mostly on the driveway so I chided them a bit about that, but there was not so much they could do about it.
The gutter group showed up the following week and they were only here for a few hours. They ended up with two of the gutters draining in the wrong direction. They weren't even here for an hour and they changed it. I pointed it out to them that they were taking the water to an area in my yard that doesn’t drain. They ended up putting up two new downspouts. We left the two that were there already in place and they just repitched the gutter to go the other direction, and it all came out very well.
The project has only been here for a little over a month now and so far, I'm very satisfied with the quality of work. I have done roofing jobs myself and they were up to my standards. I was impressed that there was very little on-site managing of what was going on. Everybody knew exactly what his job was and went on and did it. There was communication when they needed materials, but everybody had their own target and what they were trying to do, so they just proceeded to do it. I was very happy with Power Home. They did what they said they were gonna do and they did it efficiently and with minimum disruption.

Power Home Remodeling Group had a display at an arts and crafts festival called Snellville Days. I liked their product and I liked the folks that I talked to. I got windows from them. The price started out higher than I ended up paying and I ended up feeling like I was getting a good price and quality product for the money that I was spending. Plus, they did some extra work on a couple of windows that they didn't replace. They put in metal capping. They were honest, reliable and the price for the product was excellent. In fact, I've referred two of my neighbors to them.

My new windows were great so as the sliding glass door and the new screen. We only had two out of five windows done by Power Home Remodeling because that’s all we could afford. But I'm very happy with the ones we had done. We have big winds out here and we have to turn the heat down because it holds the heat so well. We have been paying about $800 a month for the windows and we've had it for about three months. It was a little expensive but you have to pay for quality and that's what we did.

Definitely not the cheapest company to go with but they generally do good work and are easy to get on the phone if you need something. I've had to use my warranty coverage before and it was quick and easy. I used them for the siding, windows, gutters, and soffits on my house. Their claim of not using subcontractors is a little misleading though because they do use other businesses to do the work, they just have an exclusive deal with them.
For example, if you hire Power to do your siding you may see a crew show up from "Bob's Siding and Roofing" or some other business name. This company may have a contract to only take work from Power but they aren't really employees of theirs. Also, brace yourself for the longest sales pitch of your life. They will spend hours with you to make the sale and will pressure you to sign right then and there by offering deals that are only good until they leave. Make them the last estimate you get and know what you're willing to spend before they start the pitch.

Power Home's product worked out in the neighbor's house and it looks good. I also got windows done and I'm getting roofs done in the next two weeks. I was also able to customize the door locks. Power Home's sales representatives were all professional and good guys. The installation guys were good, too, and they were in and out. Also, the work done was of good quality. The only thing is when I paid them at the end of the job, they stuck it on the roof. When the realtors came over, I gave them a check for the windows, but they ended up sticking on me on the roof. We're still in the middle of it and I called them and they said they were gonna take care of it and the thing didn't get taken care of. So I had to call them again today and then hopefully, it's taken care of now. But it was all good other than that. Power Home did good work.

I heard about Power Home Remodeling through friends and bought windows from them. They seemed to have a good product and reasonable prices. Plus I like the guarantee. But the original salesman left out two of my windows and now it’s causing me a lot more money. He put out 10 windows on the estimate which is the correct thing. But when the guy came out for the quality control of the two windows I had put in, he said not all of them were included.
I haven’t figured out yet but my price jumped up to $5,000 so I’m not real happy about that but I have no choice because they started the project and now I can’t have different windows in my house. They need to train their salesman a little bit better. It’s a very inconvenient. They have to do an estimate and make sure they do it right. But I like the product and the installation crew was wonderful. They came alright but just be careful, make sure everything is correct on there and make them itemized every single thing.

Power Home Remodeling Group gave me a good deal and I got windows from them. They got good sellers. They worked with us and showed me the program that they have including the guarantee. We made an appointment and they showed me the windows that they have and its difference. Then they took the measurements, made other appointments with the installation guys and they took the measurements again. After four weeks, they sent the windows and the products. I was happy with the first group that they sent as they were good. However, they sent a different group the second time, and I wasn't happy with them. They stop working and talked a lot. It took them too long to do the job. Other than that, I like the windows and they look like they're of good quality.

Many door-to-door salesman have good products that they will do anything to sell to you at outrageous prices. It's an interesting concept. Our salesman boasted about how Wal*Mart and Costco wanted their product to sell directly -- but that PHR wouldn't dream of doing it w/o their own talented field techs and amazing service. What this really translates into is the fact that they do have a good product -- they just have very inflated prices and salesmen who are out selling at variable prices. Perhaps PHR has found an industry that has been stagnant and figured out how to jazz it up. They could use a bit of competition.
If there's anything I would advise is that no matter what the salesman tells you, the first price is not the final price. The second price is not the final price -- and I'm not sure if they'll go lower after the third price. Send em packing and they'll send more people to call you and offer other deals. It's the classic salesperson BS. If you have one over, be sure you've already made dinner plans that will accommodate (They will stay 6 hours and wear you down - it's door-to-door 101). They'll start off with a 'today's price' deal that's good for 24 hours. If you resist, they'll offer you a deal if you do them a favor and do a survey (which is funny -- just give them more ways to manipulate you), and then after that, if you agree to have before/after pictures posted on their site, they'll reduce even more. Say no again and they follow up even though the sales guy said it doesn't work that way.
When they tell you stories about why they joined PHR, they are usually human interest stories and they aren't true either. My sales guy told one story at the beginning and then contradicted it multiple times towards the end. Do I want their windows in my home? Sure. Absolutely. I'd love them. But I don't need them and a second opinion on my home debunked all of their black mold nonsense. If your windows have crud between the double panes, it's because they are windows. You could just replace them with other windows, not a big deal. The windows product is a good one. No matter what they tell you, it's not the only one. One last thing that I thought was funny ... I'm in Texas and all of their marketing material was based on the East Coast market. C'mon people!

The guy from Power Home Remodeling Group that came and did the presentation did a very thorough job and I liked how he interacted with us. When we came to do the estimate, he went over everything and he spent six hours at our house going over all the details and why their company is better than other remodeling companies. We got our windows done by Power. They measured the size of the windows, but the windows we purchased aren't customized. We could get the triple pane glass which breaks into little pieces instead of shattering.
The installers were very professional, came on time, and finished earlier than when they said they were going to. They tried to keep the mess to a minimum and cleaned up behind them. They did a very good job and the quality of the work was great. I like that the sliding windows can slide open on both sides and are not just restricted to one side. They repaired or when needed replaced materials in the areas that had been installed by the 1st crew. I had Power Home do the holders and the windows. They were friendly and they explained everything really well in the beginning. They told me that I wouldn't pay anything until the project finished and until I made sure that I liked everything that would be done. They also told me to make sure I liked the contract before I signed it. You pay little by little and that’s really nice because it’s hard to save money to do projects like windows, sidings or roofs. They then sent out people who gave me the prices and then someone came out to make sure everything was okay about everything.
Four guys came here to do the first project since it was not big. It was raining then and they worked really hard and they were really nice. They worked from 7:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. They did the job in two days and they cleaned everything before they left. It was so fast. Then, the supervisor came and told me to make sure I liked everything. I pointed out some little things and they fixed it. I'm really happy with what they did. All that time they were like, "You like it? Everything okay?" They're doing the old siding in our house in May. I've also recommended them to someone else.

Power Home was aggressive at BJ's where I saw them. We were already looking at our roof and it just so happened they were lined up well and then they gave me some quotes. Power Home's sales rep was friendly. He came up to me and asked me if I was looking to do any home repairs such as windows, doors, or roof. I told him we were already looking into our roof and also, for them to come out and give me the whole shebang and see what we want.
We had the roof scheduled twice because of the weather. And then, when the installers came out, they showed up early, so I wasn’t even up out of bed yet. I ended up having to get up and move my car out of my driveway so they could park. They did our roof when we had 2 ft. of snow on the ground though, so they scheduled to clean up. So, they're supposed to be coming out soon to clean up, but I got nails and asphalt everywhere. The roof's done and it's holding up, and they were upfront that they couldn't do a full clean up at that time, but they'd be back and do a magnetic sweep and spring cleaning. But they're all only talking about a magnetic sweep now, so I don't know if I'm gonna try that or in about a year.
Power Home also had to re-quote me. They were supposed to cover the particle board and they didn’t quote enough for that. It was difficult to get the estimate correct because they couldn't see all of it, but they ended up having to replace a whole lot more of the boards and the floor. But they gave me a decent price for it and they did a good job. They didn’t try to trick me for that, but it was kind of disappointing that we had to pay a little bit more than what we were quoted originally.
The only thing is the phone calls seem to be uncoordinated. When I was setting it up beforehand, I had to talk to a lot of people and somebody always had to call me back after they talked to somebody else. It just seemed like there was a lot of back and forth that went on. But it is difficult to finalize things which was understandable when you're trying to schedule putting a roof on. Other than that, everything seemed to have turned out all right for us. I'd tell my friends about my experience and the simplicity of it. I'll also tell them to do their research because the quotes were decently high, but the quality was decent for the quotes as well.

My wife and I were starting to get estimates for replacing a 27 year old roof when a Power representative was canvassing the neighborhood. In speaking to the canvasser, we told him that we were interested in an estimate. He called his office and arranged to have a sales rep come to our home early that evening. Anthony ** spent about 2-1/2 hours going over everything about Power as a company, the roof, the materials, and what to expect. We decided to go with Power based on his presentation and estimate. Within a week, we had another Power rep come to check everything out and schedule the job. We were surprised when it could be scheduled within 2 weeks of the estimate.
The day of the job, six (6) workers came and did a job in seven (7) hours! The original roof was done in 1991 by 2 guys and it took a day and a half! The cleanup was great - the workers told me to just check the driveway for any nails or debris after the dumpster is removed. I found only 3 nails and enough tar paper to make a sheet about a foot by a foot and a half! Really good cleanup by the workers! My wife and I were really surprised when we got a call from another Power rep who came just to do quality assurance about the job. He spent about 45 minutes going over things with us and activated our warranty as well. Since our roof was done, we saw that one of our neighbors had their roof done by Power and we gave the phone number to a friend who needed a roof as well. Thank you for a job well done!

Power Home Remodeling Group did our windows and insulation. Their reps weren't very pushy, and they were nice and answered our questions. They showed how moisture was getting in causing damage and we had to replace stuff. And they also looked at our insulation in the attic and they said that our insulation wasn't up to the required standards. And they also talked about how they have a reflective thing to put in that would help keep the heat in during the winter and cooler in the summer. Then, we looked at everything they said and figured it was something we probably needed to get done so we didn’t have more damage on our house.
The guys who did the installation were great, although one of the windows apparently got cracked and that didn’t get caught before they put the windows in, so we had to wait for our window to come back in. We had set a date when they were here doing the windows, but they kept trying to move it up. But I needed to put up the time because of my schedule, and then they said they were fine with that date. On the day we were expecting them to come, I got a call at around 8:30 saying that they didn’t have a window yet. I told them that they had been trying to move the time up for a month and they didn’t even have the window. And they said that there were some problems on the other end and it wasn’t done right, so we had to move the date out again.
Other than that, they did a really good job with the actual installation of the windows and cleaning up the original steel metal framed windows that were broken. We also like the quality of work done and we noticed a difference in the temperature of the house. It keeps the heat out and keeps the area inside cool. We could only afford to do the top windows, but they figured that those were the ones that would be most effective for us, and it did make a difference. Power Home Remodeling Group had good teams and everybody we had an experience with was really good, and we would recommend them.

I'm always in the market for home improvement and I heard about Power Home Remodeling Group at a Katy Rice Harvest Festival. They had a table out there and some people were talking. The company seemed to be honest and reliable. They showed me the product and it seemed to be a decent one. The guarantee was there so if anything goes wrong, they're going to stand behind the products. The rep whom I spoke with was laid back, but very cheerful, and knowledgeable.
I had two sets of windows installed and I was a bit skeptical on the first installation. I'm better now but I wasn't impressed with the worker bees. For the first installation, they showed up late and then they had to leave without completing the job when I expected it to be completed. They promised me that it would be done in the weekend but the warehouse have ran out of the right color of putty that they were supposed to use for my particular job. Also, I was informed by the worker bees that they didn't work on Sunday. They decided that they have to come back on Monday and fix it but I wasn't home and I don't like when somebody has to come to my house and I'm not there. Another problem was that there was somebody in the working crew who I recognized. He worked in a facility that I have worked at and he wasn't always straight at the edge. However, it has been better for the second installation because I had smaller windows installed.
I was told that I wouldn't get a bill until so many weeks after the job was finished but here came a bill and it wasn't the amount I was told. I called them and I asked what's going on. Their project manager told me what I needed to know information-wise but now they're telling me differently. Now, I have $17,000 worth of windows in my house and I have to pay for them. I knew that I have to pay for them but I wasn't told that I was gonna start paying for them before the completion of the second job. However, the quality of the product is good and I'm satisfied with Power Home.

We are happy with the work. However, we are supremely disappointed in the cleanup. We have a bag full of nails that we have found on our property, mostly in the backyard where our 3.5-year old plays. One of the nails was ON his swing seat. When the guy was here for 3 and half hours giving his sales pitch, he spoke about this amazing piece of equipment the teams use to clean up at the end of a job that has a super powerful magnet on it. We have trouble believing this was used at all on our property. We understand finding a few stray nails, but not overflowing handfuls. The team also left the electrical wires loose. I pointed out the one from the power lines on the street before signing the release paperwork, and they fixed that. The other one that actually connects to the side of our house was reattached later, at the follow-up visit, because we didn't notice that one was loose (then unattached from wind) until later.
Again, we are very satisfied with the actual work and finished product, but we have to give a 3-star rating because of the issues described above. We will be paranoid for months about someone stepping on a nail or our landscaper ruining his mower if a nail gets caught in it. We are a bit nervous about the remaining work we have scheduled, but you can be sure we will be checking the area for proper cleanup before signing the release paperwork.

The 4-Hour pitch that we were given promised us amazing windows that wouldn't leak and would save us money on our electric bill. These windows leak worse than our old ones, due to a combination of a crappy installation, which they won't admit to, as well as just crappy bait-and-switch windows in the first place. The so-called lifetime warranty is the only thing keeping us from reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as they are working to put Band-Aids on the windows. Shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

We purchased windows and sliding doors from Power Home Remodeling Group. The installation experience was fine but they did more damage than I felt they should have. They knocked a chunk of rock up above my sliding glass doors, which they just screwed back up and threw some mud on. I told the guy when he came out here that it was not very nice. On the outside, they used crowbars to pull the windows out and they didn’t protect the actual wood I had around it so they knocked the pane off all the way around the windows on pretty much all of them.
The windows are great, but the installation was bad. I did construction and I know that they should protect people’s stuff and they didn’t protect anything. I go and look at people’s stuff all the time and I go and tell them, "This is what I'm gonna have to cut, this what I'm gonna have to do." But no one from Power Home did that and no one said, "Oh, you're gonna have to stay on the job there, but we're not responsible for it because you signed a contract that says any damages is yours," which I thought was kind of screwed up so I was not happy with that part of it. And because of the damage, I wouldn’t recommend them to my neighbors.

I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!!! We just spent $36,000 on windows, gutters, sliding glass doors and French doors and it is probably my biggest regret. The only thing we haven't called the service department for is the gutters and sliding doors! The same day they installed the windows we noticed a gap on the windows. We got 7 windows installed and 5 of them had the gap.
We called them and they came out and try to tell us that the gap was there for expansion? So I told him, "Ok. If that is the case then the other 2 are defective." When he noticed we weren't buying his bs he said, "Ok. I'll throw some caulk there and it will take care of it!" I was mad! We just paid these people $15,000 for these windows. There is NO WAY they should be caulking anything. We demanded new windows! We told him we were about to spend another $20,000 on doors so he said he would make a call to see what they can do, he came back in and said we will get new windows because those were indeed defective, so there he was caught in his lie about room for expansion.
1 week after that we got our new replacement windows and 2 weeks later they come and install our doors. We were so happy because the door is BEAUTIFUL!! The next day it rained and guess what we see. WATER IS LEAKING FROM ONE OF THE DOORS! Mind you we spent over $10,000 on these doors!!! Nothing should be coming through anywhere! We call them the next day to schedule yet another service.
2 days after we call about the door we notice that now there's a draft coming from the windows they replaced so we had to call them back and tell them they need to check that out too. They send the same man to check our doors. Now he tells us that the trim on the door wasn't sealed right and he's going to caulk it??? THEEEN he checks out the windows and his answer to the draft that we now feel but never felt before was because the opening where the window goes wasn't made correctly when they made the house!!! But if that was the case why didn't we feel it before?? And why would they install windows where they know they won't work?? This place is horrible! I wish we never used them. I would never recommend them. I wish I could give 0 stars!!

Joe and T answered my questions during the install and completed the project well in advance of what I anticipated. (We were between Nor'easters at the time.) Tom was able to tweak a couple of things that I was concerned about and provided information regarding the rest of the windows in the condo. I am looking forward to working with these gentlemen again in the near future.

The work was completed with quality that met expectations. The first crew (tear down siding and freeze boards) however was late or no show 3 times and the work was completed a few days late. Calls from the office were not received as arranged twice and I had to call to see when the crew was returning. The second crew (gutters and downspouts) was better (the third star) and while there was a lot of debris Shane came out and cleaned up most. He left my shovel damaged however. Overall though the folks were civil and apologetic.

A guy had a display on Power Home Remodeling Group inside Sam’s. I told him that I may be interested in getting an estimate on having some work done so he set up a day for me to get an estimate and for the guy to come by. The sales rep was pleasant. He was here for hours and hours. At first, I was just gonna get the roof done. Then I got to thinking as well that I needed some windows, rain gutters, and a radiant barrier inside the attic so I had more than what I wanted. The installers did a good job, plus they were neat and made sure they had a cover for everything. Once they were through, they made sure everything was picked up. I was watching them do the work and I was impressed by how detailed they were and they made sure that everything was done correctly.
There were a couple of people who asked me who did the work and so I told them that it was Power Home Remodeling Group. They had never heard of them but I gave them their name and number. They may be interested in getting some work done around their house because when they were driving by, they saw the people working on my house and they admired the work that Power Home did.

They took care of everything that needed to be taken care of and they cleaned up after themselves. But the screen door wasn't closing, so I had to call a a couple of people to come and adjust and fix it, and I’m glad that has been taken care of. Power Home's sales process was rather high pressure and somewhat off-putting. Their sales reps were really extraordinarily good. The young man that did the sales job kept repeating that Power Home was one of the highest regarded companies by employees. But many of them used that as a hook in their sales approach and I would rather hear that the consumers held them with high regard. But a lot of those home repair outfits were fly-by-nights and Power Home's operation had a national rep which gives me a degree of confidence in them, so I bought into it.
The installation team was very professional. We had our roofing done in one day, and also some gutter replacement and attic insulation. Then they would be coming back to have the capping done around the windows. It turns out, we have no problems with the jobs that they have done for us so far and Power Home had given me a lifetime warranty. I would recommend the work that Power Home has done, though there would always be that little weariness about their sales pitch.

Their sales team described the products and did a demonstration of how everything works and how reliable they are. The installers came out a few times already for stuff that needed redoing, but they responded really well. Also, I had them come out with the project managers themselves, making sure everything is to my standard.

There was a rep at Sam’s Club who made a presentation for Power Home. We liked it and we thought the guy was knowledgeable. The price was also reasonable. We had our roof redone years ago by Home Depot and it seemed like it was in the same ballpark. The first guy from Power Home was courteous and he asked me if I had something that I wanted to fix. I said the sliding door, so a person came out to do that. He went up to look on the roof and said that that should be the priority and not the sliding door. We talked about the attic. Our roof was relatively new, but the roof deck was falling apart. We had a ventilation issue that caused the roof deck to disintegrate, so they put nice shingles on a bad roof. Since then, we’ve had another guy back in here installing the backdoor and the front door. We’re doing the sliding door, the front door and the gutters on the house when they come back in a month or so. Nevertheless, the installers did fine.
However, there was an issue with the group that was picking up the dumpster but that wasn’t the installation people’s fault. They’re working with us to fix our yard but they got stuck in the driveway. It was icy and they slid off the driveway. And then, a second truck came to get the first truck out but it got stuck as well. Finally, the third truck came and got the first one out but when he tried to back up, they got the second truck out and he got stuck. It was a mess in the gutter. I got chewed up a little bit and they’re supposed to be helping us fix it. Also, there were two installation teams. The first one was a roofing crew and two or three days later, there was a solar eclipse team. Both teams did a nice job. They were quick, fast and cleaned up nicely. I was happy with that. If somebody asked about my roof, I would say Power Home did it and they did a nice job.

They did everything they said they were gonna do and even came back after the second time and fixed the stuff that they’d gotten hurried doing the first time. Their work was excellent quality. Both the windows and doors are fantastic, but they’re really expensive. They supposedly block 70% of the heat rays coming in from the sun. I had companies come into my house and looked at the windows and doors and gave me estimates. And it was either in March, October or November, which were the colder weathers to which I’m not very susceptible to. And I was wandering around in shorts and t-shirts and these guys noticed it was cold in my house and they were keeping their jackets on. And on their demonstrations, they kept showing me how well their windows and doors keep heating and keep you warm. Power Home was the only one that saw that I don’t get cold. So they told me that they could keep my house cool and keep it at the temperature that I wanted. And I like that they know their customer and that they didn’t try to show me all the demonstrations that they do for the normal windows and heat coming through.
My house had different types of windows. They had the fake plastic dividers in all the windows because all of them go almost from floor to ceiling. And then I had one sliding glass door in my basement replaced and another one in my family room. I got blinds that are installed in the actual doors, which you can raise and lower and turn them to deflect the light. During the installation, it helped that Power Home had one team whose job was canceled and so they ended up having two teams in my house, and then they were done. They also helped me with payment. I have a total of 33 windows and doors, and they divided the work into two halves. They did the front half in May and then a couple months later, they did the backside of the house.
I was impressed with the quality of their work. I was there the whole time watching them taking out the windows and cleaning up everything. They took the family room sliding glass door out and there were major ants but luckily, it was just the little ones and not the big black carpenter ants. They went and sprayed it all and cleaned it all out. On the inside, they retract the carpeting down that went along with the sliding glass door.
I was also watching them as they get the various windows and doors level and to get them even. It was always not a perfect fit so they got to use the shims to get that all in. And then using the sealant, they sprayed insulation around it to make sure that there was a good seal between the windows and the frames. They also re-caulked on the outsides and insides. The outside of the windows that used to be wood was covered in vinyl as well so I didn’t have to worry about painting that. When I noticed that there was a sharp edge and I pointed that out to them, they re-fixed it so there was no way I could be cleaning the windows on the outside and accidentally cut myself.
Pricewise, they definitely weren’t the cheapest but they weren’t the most expensive. I could probably find cheaper windows but they made their own windows. They brought it in, installed it and guaranteed it. I liked that they did all that. I know some places where the people who make the windows are different from the people who install them. So if there were problems, I might have to deal with more than one person in group or company.

I knew I was going to need a new roof sooner than later. Power Home knocked on our door and we decided to purchase standard roof from them. We liked that they didn’t hire contractors to do the work outside consulting. They were also a bigger outfit than the storm chasers that come door-to-door. The process got confusing on who I could go to and where. I tried to understand what phone number I had to call and when I called, it was the switchboard. That made things a little bit more confusing. It'd be nice to have somebody to call in case something came up instead of having to go navigate through a switchboard. They assigned me a project manager but I don't know if I ever met one. I asked two other people if they were my project manager and they said they weren't.
Their installation team were in and out when they came out to work and they did a much better job of cleaning up after themselves than others guys who came out here. They were pretty efficient and were able to do it in one day. They scoured the yard and everything looked good. I found 10 nails under the dumpster that they had there, which in some ways made sense. Unfortunately, the dumpster was in the driveway so was in a bad spot for it. Outside of that, the rest of the yard was immaculate. If somebody was looking for a roof, I'd tell them to consider Power Home. Compared to what I've seen with others that had roofing that took multiple days. they're a very efficient outfit and they have the right people. They also do a really good job of sharing the process with the customers.

Power Home was in the neighborhood doing other jobs and they knocked at my door. Their sales team was okay and we bought the windows, sidings and a door from them. The installation was good but instead of sending technicians out there that are not going to install the product, the installation team should be involved because they are the ones who know what they’re going to do or need. The wrong door was ordered and we had to wait for weeks again to get another one. They went out and they were supposed to put another door in the back, which didn’t fit. So, we ended up only putting the door in the front. We’re still at the point where they don’t know how they’re going to reward us or give us an incentive for all the time that we lost from work just because the team was not ready to install it. I was supposed to get a call yesterday and nobody called me back.
We also got gutters and we had problems too because they lifted up my shingles. The installers didn’t do a good job of putting them back down. While the installation team was mostly good and we're happy with the way that they worked, there was an issue with the first inspection.
There were some screws missing and in trying to get that resolved, it took another five days to get somebody back just to put in a couple of screws. That was frustrating. Power did a great job. The workers were very courteous, show up on time and cleaned up excellently after the window installation was completed. I highly recommend Power for your home improvement to do’s.

Power Home Remodeling did our windows. They're great and I love them. The sales rep was very polite and answered all our questions. The installers were good and very efficient, and they did their job right. I loved that it was a one-day thing to get the job done. If you're going to get new doors or windows, go with Power Home Remodeling. If anything happens, you know that you can call them and that they'll be out to fix it.

The installation service was good, and the installers were very sincere and nice to deal with. The quality of the Bow window was very nice, with the exception of the double hung opening. The frame is pretty thick, but very solid comparing to other windows I got installed a few years back by another company.

The work (Siding, windows, gutters and door) was done when scheduled and in a very timely manner. The people that did the work were friendly and asked questions as they were working to be sure it was done the way I wanted. We are happy with the results.

Overall great job. The only caveat is that I'm still finding small aluminum shards on the ground from either replacement gutters or flashing. I know they cleaned up and used blowers, but I have to be careful not to get cut on some of those pieces that I constantly pick up around bushes and on grass. The house looks great and I'm generally happy with the service overall. Yes, I would recommend.

When I took before and after pics, I shared them with my friends back East. The positive feedback was tremendous, everyone saying my house looks so much better with the new windows. I agree wholeheartedly! My utility bills are yet to tell the tale, but I am more comfortable in here even with a lower temperature setting.

Installers left a large bag of trash in bathroom, rather than taking it outside to trash container. In installation process in master bedroom, alarm system wiring was damaged in such a way it could not be hooked up again on window WITHOUT TOTALLY UNINSTALLING THE WINDOW AND FIXING THE WIRING. I understand you bear no responsibility for alarm system operation, but to damage the wiring below the window, and then to do nothing to fix the problem is unconscionable. Thanks for your efforts!!! If I receive any inquiries about you and your products, you can rest assured I will share my experience fully.

The experience with Power Home Remodeling Group was great. I was walking out of BJ's when someone from Power Home approached me. I purchased windows from them. Their price was right and customer service was good. My windows are a little bigger than normal and they were able to accommodate that. The installation team was in and out. They were good and very professional. The quality of their work is very comfortable since my house has become warmer than it was. If someone would ask me about Power Home Remodeling Group, I would recommend going with them.

We bought windows and doors from Power Home Remodeling Group and we had a good experience with the sales reps. The installation team was good as well. They cleaned up everything afterwards. The quality’s good and I have no complaints.
