This is the second summer that I haven't been able to swim in my pool because Namco screwed it up so much. They were a local pool place and right after we bought the whole package for the above ground pool, they went out of business, so there wasn't any customer service. The pool wasn’t set up correctly so I had to have somebody else come in and do that. The pump hasn’t work properly so I also had to have another company come in and try and fix that. The automatic cleaner has never worked, so it’s just been a nightmare. We also bought a pool heater from Namco and it has just been a whole other can of worms.

We messed with the pool all summer last year and we ended up calling another local pool place, but we just closed it up for the winter. We started again this summer trying to get the pool heater hooked up and trying to get the pump to work properly. One of the pieces was leaking and we had to have another part, and then that part hasn’t worked real well either.

We bought a pool and got someone that Namco recommended. The installation was horrendous. After having the pool up for a year and a half, we had to put a new liner in it, and the person that repaired it told us it was installed wrong.

We had to get a pool replacement because our old pool was beginning to rust being up for over 25 years. We used Namco because of their prices and they were wonderful. Their teams were awesome, very friendly, professional, and pleasant. They were nice to talk to, informative, and not pushy. Couldn’t ask for a better experience there. They should keep up the good work and keep the prices. Of course the people there don’t set their prices but they do a fantastic job and they have sold me. I would go back there in the drop of a dime.

My wife found Namco up in Portland and we bought accessories there ‘cause that’s the only pool place we knew of at the time. We went in, found the stuff we needed and bought it, and it was easy. There were a couple different ladies who helped us there and they’ve always been friendly. Namco does what they were designed to do which is to supply us with pool supplies and they do it friendly. They also tested our water before and they know what they’re doing. It’s a fine place and I’d recommend them.

I bought a pool from Namco. I bought the liner and all my chemicals from them. Anything for my pool, I buy it from there and I like their prices better than Leslie's Pool Supplies, which is a competition. Everybody at Namco is polite when I speak to them. They were helpful in the store. If I need help finding something, someone's more than happy to help me. All their products work. I recommend them.

I also bought my second pool from them 3 years ago. I get the equipment for all the pools from there too. Their people do what they say they’re gonna do and I have no problems with them.

I liked the financing of Namco pools. I got a 24-foot round aboveground pool from them. We told them what we wanted and they knew exactly what it was. Within a day or two after we left the store, they had the pool company, Zack's Pool Service, contact us and I dealt with them directly. The installation went smoothly and their team was excellent. For the price I paid, the pool I got has been very good.

Namco is a local company in my town. I bought a brand-new pool from them, and different chemicals and everything for my pool and hot tub to keep them going. I ordered something from them about a month and a week ago and they made me prepay for it. But I haven’t heard from them. They could at least give me a heads-up call whether the order got there or not. Also, their employees seem to always change, but everybody is always pretty decent and customer service is great.

We've had an above ground pool for almost 50 years. We've replaced the lining in the pool and everything else. Namco used to be in Norwalk, Connecticut and that's how we started going there. Now, we don't like it because it's up in Orange or Milford and it's a long ride for us. We use hoses, chlorine and things like that through Namco. Their service has been very good. I just hope they move closer to us.

Had a positive sales experience when purchasing the pool. We purchased all the start up and winterizing equipment as well from Namco. We followed all the directions, asked the appropriate questions when not sure and had a wonderful two seasons with the pool. And then the water drained this past winter. The Manchester store guaranteed us we had a warranty on the liner if the seam was the reason. Sure enough when we opened the pool the bottom liner was pulled away in two places right on the seam. We took the pictures and sent them with our request to replace the liner, replace the two caps & cover which ripped due to stress. We also requested the pool water be refilled at their expense to requested email address.

We waiting the required 2 weeks to get an answer, when one failed to show up, we called. The email was deleted was the response. What? Why??? Then we called directly to corporate and they told us to resend and wait two weeks, but they would try to expedite. Again with no response we call, they sent an offer to the wrong email address. So they sent it again, the offer was 20% on a new liner. What happened to the warranty? Oh it depreciated over two summers a whopping 80%. My timeline of aggravation starts in April 2018, and today I still have no pool to use. I will be purchasing a new liner (not from Namco) and refilling the pool this week. I could have started this process a month ago, had I known the resolution was not in the warranty. As I now do my research (a little too late) I find the rating in all of CT to be a D- or worse!

My mom referred me to Namco, and they were having a sale at the time I was choosing to purchase a pool. I got a 15-foot above ground pool from them and the purchasing experience was fairly easy. But I had an issue with the ladder that I purchased, and I had to lug it to the store after it was put back together. And I was talking to someone extensively about returning it and picking out another ladder because the quality was bad. I didn’t feel it was worth the money and I wasn’t comfortable with it being safe. When I lugged it all the way back to the store, and after talking to the manager several times, at no point did they tell me that they don’t sell another ladder that is up to code. So, I ended up having to keep that ladder because they were only gonna do an even exchange. They were not gonna return my money. And I drove all the way there. So, I didn’t shop there after that.

Disappointing to say the least... We order a pool. Good price A+ for that. No shipping details, no email to tell us our pool has shipped or when it will be delivered. We have to call and find out . May take up to 3 weeks to process we were told. 3 weeks??? Really??? Didnt take that long. Thank god. So our pool guy comes to start the set up... 1 of the strappings is too short. Oh great! I guess that happens. We drive to our local Namco to see if they have an extra one. Nope! But they say they will order it for us. Ok Good. That was on a Sunday. The next Friday after not seeing anything, we call and they promise us it will be there by Tuesday. Ok. We call our pool guy to have him come Wednesday now.

Tuesday rolls around... nothing! We call again. We are told the part is coming from Canada. We ask for a tracking number. They cant give us one. We call back Thursday, again no tracking number but the lady tells us she will overnight the part from Canada. Wait? You mistake the part was the wrong part and you didnt overnight it to begin with? Shame on you!!! So I'm taking it that the part was never ordered the 1st time. 3 days later we receive it. FROM NEW YORK, NOT CANADA!!! Ok over 2 weeks now we have a pool to get set up but we lost our pool guy to another job.

Now we have to spend a lot more on someone else. Already PISSED as it is. take out the liner... plain blue. NOT WHAT WE ORDERED. After almost an hour on the phone the lady finally gives in to give us the liner that we had originally ordered. Almost a week goes by, nothing. We call again today and we are told it is going to be shipped out today. Why was it not shipped out right away??? WHY ARE YOU NOT TAKING CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! AWFUL AWFUL.

I bought my pool last year. Got it a week later, then it sat in my garage until the middle of July when it was promised to be installed before the 4th of July. Funny that never happened. Now here I am a year later and mind you I only got to use my pool last year for maybe 3 months, now here we are storing of 2018 my warranty ran out on the motor to my pool on May 30 Labor Day weekend and when I called the Namco store in Springfield the manager told me he would honor the warranty. It would cost me 38 dollars to replace it and it would get replace it with a Hayward motor.

When I got to the store yesterday it was a different story. They want to charge me 38 dollars for someone to look at it and try to fix it. Well lo and behold they are not even set up to repair the motors so one of the guys that work there was taking it home to try and fix it. The bar rings are gone in it. I stood around this store for over an hour to be told that they are not set up to repair them so in my eyes they should honor the motor warranty after all the crap I went through to even get the pool installed. Needless to say I will never deal with Namco again.

I bought a pool from Namco a few years ago and then bought one last year as well. Aside from that, I got some chemicals from them. When I bought the pool, the sales rep was very good but I had a problem with the installation. They forgot to put 22 screws in the top and they didn’t bother putting in the caps. I paid somebody else to come because it's under the deck. I called the installer and told him so he sent me the $25. But it was the aggravation off it. When you put up a pool nowadays, you have to have the pool filter grounded and Namco didn’t go over any of that. Years ago, you didn’t have to do that but now, you have to get an electrician to ground everything. The installers don’t do it and it’s an extra expense but Namco don’t bother telling you that. Fortunately for me when I took down the pool, grounding wires were there and I didn't disrupt them. I just took them off the pool. But other than that, it was fine and the price was good.

I would recommend them but I wouldn't have them put the pool in if I wasn't there. You have to watch the people when they put the installation and you have to check everything. Also, I was having a birthday party on the 21st of June last year and they brought the pool in three days before. I got nervous so, I called them and they were supposed to send me a gift certificate because there was a delay. They never did but that’s okay.

Their price at the time was a better price than the other pool suppliers. Now, I get mostly pool related products and services from them. I buy the chemicals yearly and I also bought the motors to run the pool. I always look for sales and Namco had more sales on chemicals. I bought a pool table and some chemicals for my swimming pool from Namco. But the place wasn't well run. I had been previously unimpressed with their customer service and even had to call the corporate office a few times when getting the pool that I had purchased from them installed last year. Recently however, I ran in quickly to buy starter chemicals for the season and I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful and I spoke with Howard, the new store manager for a few minutes as well. He was incredibly professional and I even ended up purchasing a new self-driven vacuum. This store has clearly made drastic changes to their appearance (much cleaner and more organized) and customer service. They have succeeded in winning me over again as a customer.

In the beginning, we had a difficult time with Namco Pools & Patios because we received the wrong walls for the pool. We ordered a 52 but then we got a 56. We put it up and we didn't even realize that the walls were wrong until we decided to fill it with water. Nevertheless, the guy who sold us the pool was very nice and tried to help us solve the issue.

The installation was a nightmare because we did it ourselves. We put the siding in and realized that the walls were too high for the pool that we ordered. My husband had to go somewhere to pick up the walls and it was a week after when we finally had our pool together. Nevertheless, there have no problems since then. We have the stuff to make the pool run. We also got a ladder, cleaning tablets and water brightener. We also got a kit wherein we'll have to do something different next year. Namco's people are very pleasant each time we go. Others should just check everything with the pool when they load it into their cars. Make sure that the walls of the pool are in the right kit.

I wanted to get a pool for my family. I used to work in Leslie’s Pool Supplies when I was a teenager and I always knew Namco was around. Namco was closer to home, and so I bought an 18-foot round pool, which was last year’s model. Initially, I went in the store and I did some research. And I ended up speaking to the store manager. I've gone to the pool place three times that week and then I decided to make my purchase. I bought the pool over this last summer. And I was told I was going to get all help and for any questions, they said to call them and they'd guide me through it. And none of those happened.

I bought the pool right out and did not do payment plans. And then, when it was time to pick everything up, they were missing this and that, so I was upset. I had to make several trips, which was not what I was expecting being that I paid in full. And a store manager helped me, but then she wasn’t available after a while. When I needed help, I called them and I got sarcasm. I reported the person to the store manager. And every time I called, they were too busy to talk to me, and when I showed up at the store, it was the same scenario. I walked out of the store pissed off. Everybody else when I called, it was a hassle. But I dealt with one specific lady who was amazing.

I had problems with my hoses and I went back to the store and the told me that it was what comes with the pool. And they were leaking, too. I ended up paying $1,600 that Namco charged to use their third party for the installation. They came back and checked it out and they kept talking about the hoses. But not once did Namco say they'd exchange them. And I asked them several times if they can you give me new hoses and it never happened. The installation team tried to help, but once they got paid and did their job, they didn’t care. And then when they came it was towards the end of the day and not even the actual owner would come. He just sent his workers to look at the hose and they told me the same exact things that we already discussed.

I'd tell others not to bother going with Namco. I went back and forth. I never owned a pool. So, I bought a saltwater pool, and all they did was give me a piece of paper with instructions, which makes no sense unless you’re dealing with pools. I kept calling and it was very upsetting. I also bought the pool late July. I’m in Connecticut, so I didn’t really get to enjoy the pool that much, and I got all the problems. Namco told us to call a specific company for water to fill up the pool. I paid $275 and they only filled up my pool halfway. It was very upsetting, too. I called and I complained. I have to reopen this pool, too. And I’ve never reopened a pool, but I’m using YouTube. And it would be great if they could help me with the chemicals and the six bags of salt that I got to buy to put in the pool.

We bought an above the ground pool from Namco because of my disability. The person who sold us the pool was a sweetheart. She was there whenever there was a problem in the beginning when they were still open because we found out they were closing down the New Hampshire store until further notice because of a new management. I am curious though about how the warranty that we paid for would go.

The crew that came out were a great bunch of guys as well. But when I had an issue with the pool, the original person that did it had to have surgery and he retired from doing the job. Namco found someone else who gave me a line and said that he doesn’t touch anybody else's work. So, I had to call back another person to solve the problem and Namco found someone else who did so. Other than that, it has been a good experience with Namco. They get things done professionally. However, they said there will be no new installation until April because the ground is frozen up here in Massachusetts. Nevertheless, Namco is a good place and they work best.

We’ve known about Namco for years and we’ve gotten our first pool from them years and years ago. We've also gotten pool supplies, pool covers, chlorine, and a couple of patio sets. I got my lounge chairs, swivel chairs and tables from them and they last. The quality of the stuff is good but their customer service isn’t the greatest. The people are very nice but they have a staffing issue.

There’s always only one person on all the time so if people are coming in through the door and we're trying to do a main purchase it takes time and they have to stop every few minutes to help someone else who could be standing there for half an hour before the guy is free enough to help. At the first Namco we went to the kid had no idea what he was talking about. He didn’t even know what kind of liners came with the pool and he was the only one there. If they're only going to have one person in the store they should make sure that person knows what they’re talking about. A kid who has no experience at all isn’t going to sell them some pools. When doing a major purchase I don’t want someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. It makes me a little wary.

We left and we were going to go to Leslie Pools and then my husband said they were having such a good deal and we went to try a different Namco. The one near us closed so we had to go to Nashua, but the guy was awesome. He knew exactly what he was talking about and he told us what we would need and what we should go with. He’s the reason why we got the pool and he made up for the first guy who was clueless.

We bought the pool early and two months later Namco called and said it was not available so they gave us a different pool. That wasn’t a good start but the installation was awesome and it lasted for almost 15 years. The team was excellent and great. The last pool we ordered from Namco was half-off, which was a really good deal. But from what we heard from other people who had it done the new installation team isn’t great so we’re a little nervous. We got a lifetime warranty and a warranty for the installation in case anything goes wrong so we’re covered all the way around.

Namco Pools & Patios is a big name and it's been around. I've heard they have good quality pools, so I went there. The staff was very helpful. We originally spoke with one person and we had a lot of questions. He figured that maybe somebody else was best for us to speak with, so he asked somebody else to talk to us. We talked to the big guy, the district manager and he worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. It was good. And so, we bought an above ground pool from them. However, we had some trouble with financing. They told me it was going to be three years interest-free and when I got my first bill, it was two years interest-free so I called them. They eventually got it straightened out and everything was fine now. But when I got my first bill, I was so frustrated. So far, I have told friends about the pool and that I went down to Namco. I said that they worked with me and they made sure we got what we were looking for.

I've bought patio furniture, two pools, and all kinds of chemicals from them and I'm happy with the service I've gotten. Whenever I go in and ask them a question, they tell me what I need, and I go and I do it. But my first pool was put together really badly. I told them that the liner was crooked and they told me that it was just the way that it was. I was stuck looking at the crooked liner for years and it aggravated me like hell. I then had the whole ground surveyed and everything and had my contractor friends come over to make it perfect. I put together a second one myself and it came out a lot better.

We went to a different pool supplier, a local place in town and it was very expensive. We checked out Namco and the prices were considerably cheaper. We could open a charge card there and pay off the pool a little bit each month. We got a 27-foot round pool from Namco. But the first Namco I went into was really bad. It was the one we ended up buying it from and it was the national store. We went in there and the girl took forever to come out and then she just couldn’t be bothered with me.

She was just rude. I was getting information on the pool and she was like, “Look over there.” I’m like, “Okay, do you think that you can show me some information because I have no idea what I’m doing, this is the first step for me.” She said, “Yeah, just go over there, that’s all the paperwork that you can look at.” She was just horrible and I wound up walking out. Then I went back about a week later, walked in, I saw the same girl and I just turned around and walked out. I didn’t want to deal with her again.

I called and I spoke to a manager and he was said, “I’m so sorry. She’s actually not employed here anymore, what can I help you with?” He wound up saying, “Come down I’ll talk to you and everything.” I went down and talked to him and he was really helpful. He walked us through the process, what to get, suggestions, what to do, what not to do, and got the ball rolling and it was fine from there.

They were nice and all but I don’t believe that the pool was level. It’s just a little bit off and depending on who I ask, people are like, “Oh, it’s fine. It doesn’t have to be perfect.” And I’m like, “Well it should be perfect considering I paid a lot of money to have it installed.” I talked to Namco about it and the rep was like, “Oh yeah just email Namco.com.” I never heard back. I did not send the email and I didn’t want to be brushed off like that, to just be like, “Hey, contact Namco.” They hired somebody to install the pool so they should be the one to follow through and find out about why this guy is installing it and not coming back to fix it.

But I do feel like they were really good. Their employees are knowledgeable and they know what they’re doing. They just need to be careful with who they have to install your pool to make sure it’s level. And I talked to a guy across the street who is very, very picky about what he does and he said he went through there and he had nothing but positive experience.

We’ve gone to other pool places but they were extremely more expensive and they don’t do coupons like Namco does.

The buying process was super easy, especially in person. It was also really easy to do online. When I ran into a problem and I called, they were able to help me with no problems. However, there are some employees that aren’t really so knowledgeable. You’ll ask them a question and they don’t really know how to answer. But there was this one girl that was always so nice to us. Her name was Cindy, and she was always been really helpful. Every time that she has given us a rate and recommended something, it always worked out.

She also called us at the end of the summer to remind us that we had a coupon. We were coincidentally closing the pool that day and we needed the chemical, so my husband was going over there anyway and we ended up buying the chemicals without having to pay for them because we have a coupon. Namco is a good company and we haven't had any bad experience with them.

Namco was having their fifth customer specials sale and we got a willow pool from them nine years ago. We got it in September and I picked it up the following spring and put it up myself. I still have the circle stand out there. The filter and pump still work because I put them in the basement but a part of the wall started to rust then the lining ripped and there’s the skimmer’s line. So, all I needed was the liner, the wall, and the skimmer. Whoever was answering the phone was very nice and helped me out the best she could. The lady said that I get the skimmer for free if I bought it when I bought it. So, I pulled the trigger on and I'm very satisfied with it.

The reps are still holding the wall and the liner for me until April. The rep said she’d call me and they'll deliver it. She told me that the liner has a separate bill to it than the one I bought before. It took me 15 minutes tops on the phone to purchase. She asked me if I needed it installed but I told her that I put the last one up so I could put the pool up again. It was a great price and a good product that’s why we went with Namco again. I've been to the store and I've checked things out. Since I go around the state a lot, I’ll swing it up if I’m in the area if I need a skimmer or chemicals.

We went to Namco in February to purchase an above ground pool for our home. The service while at the store was good. It all fell apart with installation. Installation happened in mid May. The installer (Bob **) that Namco provides was horrendous. They were rude, there were multiple problems that needed to be fixed after installation such as the pool was not level, to which the installer replied, "Well measure it yourself then we will come back out" (it was measured before I called and they came back), the filter was not installed correctly and was leaking, to which the installer replied, "Just tighten the bolts" (I told them to come back out after multiple calls they did).

I paid extra money for installation to have my yard leveled and after we had filled the pool, roots that were not removed put a hole in the liner, so that needed to be replaced, which the installer said was a defective liner provided by Namco. That was a ridiculous process to get the new liner. The Orange store was called multiple times by myself and my husband, the liner was finally ordered after 3 days. Then the stores refused to ship it to the Orange store, so the manager was nice enough to go and pick up (the only bright spot of our experience was dealing with Rob). They would not ship it to our home, so we had to pick it up from the Orange store.

Then it took another 2 weeks to have a different installer come out and fix the messed up job. The new installers were great but when they saw what the first job looked like they were appalled. They stated little sand was laid, but not spread and there were roots all over that were not dug up as promised for the extra money we paid. I tell everyone not to use Namco as a pool service.

I recently purchased an above ground pool from Namco. I knew the name and I talked to few people that had gotten pools from them and they seemed to be happy. The sales were very knowledgeable and courteous. They answered a lot of the questions that I had at the time and they helped in making the decision to buy the pool that we thought would be the best fit for us. The only downfall was that the stores are understaffed and after we left the store we had a few more questions that arose. We didn’t buy the pool right at the beginning and bought it just before the 4th of July, so I can understand that it was busy. But trying to make the phone call to get in touch with somebody to ask the questions was very difficult. Nobody there answered the phone so I ended up having to do all communications through email or having to go back to the store.

We paid to have somebody come out and install it, which proved to be a pain because we were told that we would have the pool installed 10 days from the purchase date and that we would hear from one of the many installers that Namco used, in about a week or a few days into after we bought the pool to set things up and coordinate things. We didn’t hear anything and we kept calling the store and it was kind of a back and forth situation. I found out through other channels that the installer that was assigned to install the pool had dropped it. My wife got on the phone and told them that we’re going to have the pool by the July 4th, which was close and finally after a few phone calls Namco had a different installer come out and put us at the top of the list because we’re getting upset with the whole situation as far as nobody reaching out to us.

Apparently once the pool is purchased and we decide to have the installation corporate schedules it. So we were calling the store and the store had no answers. So it was like some kind of a drop in communication at some place. The installer came out about three days later than the initial date. He was really good and relatively quick and he explained his whole process and told us what to do once the pool got to work. The pool is often filling within about six hours and he came over the next day. Once it was installed and everything was going I had one of the hoses that was leaking and I had to go back to the store three different times to exchange hoses. Finally it was okay and then, the rest of the summer went by with no issues until it came time to close the pool. I got my cover and all of the materials I needed to close the pool, a checklist, and instructions and everything was fine.

I know we’re also losing water from the pool and I talked to four different people from Namco and none of them were on the same page. One was saying that it was perfectly normal and another was saying I may have a leak. Then another one was saying we should have somebody come out to look at it. The last guy I talked to was now saying that what the person told me about somebody coming out to look at the pool was incorrect and that if I joined an extended warranty that Namco had, they would come out or they would send somebody out to look at the leak and take care of all of that. So basically he told me I was on my own as far as finding the leak, and that if it was something due to a failure of the line or on the seam that I would have to take pictures of it and they would have to approve it.

I was really frustrated with it at that point because my cover had actually gotten through a heavy rainstorm and it went into the pool. Then on Saturday I got in the pool looking for a leak that wasn’t there or that I couldn’t find while the cover was off. The best thing that I could do was try to find the leak and patch it and then come springtime go from there. But I couldn’t find anything so I probably will never give Namco another dime. I went to a different pool supply place and I spoke with somebody over there. He helped me out tremendously as far as what I should do. The cover they gave that I bought from them didn’t really fit right so I would speak with the gentleman there. He had explained a few things to me and he seemed to make more sense.

The last thing I want to see is the pool being compromised over the winter by the weather because of some issues that could have been taken care of. The biggest issue with Namco was the communication. Now you can get in touch with anybody because it’s out of season and when you call them somebody does answer the phone. Between the installation and them communicating with the installers or letting us know what happened if they were more upfront in the beginning as far as the installer backing out and everything else it may have been a different story. But just to kind of let it go and not answer our questions or taking the extra steps to find out why the installer hadn’t called us until my wife actually got on the phone and really started to let them have it because I was at that point where we said if we didn’t hear from somebody we’re just going to cancel the deal.

The initial experience we had from Namco was good and it was a mixed thing. Namco could be a little bit more helpful as far as first-time pool owner. It is a lot of money. It’s not like I was in there buying a raft and it's not like I had a lot of money for a pool. And when something that you have is something brand new like that you shouldn’t expect to have any issues with it nor the amount of money you spend nor the trouble. Namco needs to communicate a lot better and better train their employees to all be on the same page.

I’ve done business with Namco's store in Enfield for 40 years. I only buy chemicals from them and we used Baquacil on our pool before because our grandchildren had such tender skin and allergies. When we had an infestation of gypsy moth in our area which turned the water brownish from their feces, Namco sent a bunch of college kids who knew absolutely nothing about how to test the water and what chemicals to use. They told me to try this and that, and we tried six different products that they thought would help. But they didn't help and we ended up draining the entire pool of 8,000 gallons, so I can imagine my water bill when it comes in. I was very dissatisfied with Namco Pools & Patios.

They also closed down the Enfield, Connecticut store and the man from there that we used to do business with went to the Springfield, Boston Road Store. He very much seemed to know what he’s talking about and he, like the other group of kids, said that they had not been educated from the Namco Headquarters on Baquacil because it is a very different product. It’s the peroxide and not the chlorine. So this year, we're going to switch to chlorine and the new man in the Enfield store who told me that he’s going to be managing it next year said he'll be the one to help us. Baquacil is a very expensive product no matter where I go, whether I buy it from Namco or from Leslie Pools. Namco partially refunded me the money for the clearing up product but I don’t want the aggravation and expenses I have encountered in the past.

Namco has been around for a long time. We liked the cost of their products so we purchased a pool from them. Buying the pool was the easy process and everything went smoothly. But two years after we bought our pool, it split across the seam. This happened in the middle of this past summer and we were in the pool then. It had a tiny hole but within three minutes we had 12,000 gallons of water gone. The actual hole ended up being larger than five feet across the bottom. We were told it was definitely a manufacturer defect but Namco dragged their feet along. They said the issue was covered under warranty but it would take a month to process the paperwork in which case there would be no sense to have the warranty because the summer would be over.

So we had to buy a brand new liner for our pool and pay someone to come in and install it all. We have the phone number of the person who installed our pool and he was fabulous. We called him up and he put our new liner in for us. We paid him directly. Namco was no help and they're not going to reimburse at all. They said that’s not how they do things.

They helped us over the phone though. I called Manchester Namco on a Sunday night because I live five minutes from them and said I wanted to order a new liner. They didn't have one in stock so I called around a couple of different Namcos but nobody had them in stock. But Rocky Hill Namco said they can order it and have it in by Wednesday. That was perfect and I called Manchester Namco if they could do that too. The lady who answered was kind of put-off. When I asked if I could have the liner on Wednesday, she said no and that it was a ridiculous request. I told her that Namco Rocky Hill sent my order and that it would be there by Wednesday. The lady insisted that she didn't know what they were talking about and cannot do that. Manchester was not willing to even try. I called Rocky Hill to tell them that we would drive to the store to pick the liner up. They called me Monday that I could go there to get it and we picked it up by 5:00.

It was a funny turn of events too as the girl we ordered our pool from two years ago in the Manchester store, Gianna, was the person I spoke to at the Rocky Hill Store. She was a very nice girl. The whole pool liner business aside, we are happy with our experience with Namco. If I had to do it again, I would do it the same way and order from them. I'd hope it wouldn’t split though. I have also recommended Namco to a cousin and she went out and bought her own pool. But there should be an improvement on the speed of getting things done.

I’ve been pretty upset about this whole situation with Namco because when I went to purchase the pool on the 4th of July, I waited two weeks for the pool to come in. It came in on the 18th of July and they installed it pretty quick. It was five guys in and out, not even two hours. And so there wasn’t much inspection. The guy came in and told me to just sign the paperwork then took the hose in, and he left because I use my own water. Then I had to wait for the electrician to come, so he can make me an outlet so I can plug it in the pump. I plugged it in the pump two weeks after. But the pump was leaking, so it was both ways behind the pump. So I called the installer and told him that it’s leaking. And he said, “Could you wait till next week?” He said he’s going to be in the area next Monday, so we waited another week. He came in Monday, and they tightened up the loose ends.

I never had a pool before, so I don’t know what to look for or where it’s supposed to be. So after he fixed the pump, I had it running and then I went to check the water pH level. The lady said you need to run it for two hours to get the water cleared out. So it took a while for me to actually go in and use the pool. When we went to use the pool, my daughter was vacuuming. She said there’s a cut in the pool. My son also said, “Mom, you know, when you mentioned that, I did hear one of the guys that was there. He said, ‘Oh **.’" I took pictures and called Namco right away. I told them we just found out a cut. It's in the bottom of the pool and it hasn't been used.

Namco said they’ll try to take care of it. But it was upsetting to me because they tried to say that it took me a month to find out even though I explained the situation that I wasn’t able to use the pool right away. They tried to blame everything on me, and that I would’ve noticed the water level getting down. But it’s a size of the nail, and I would not notice a drastic change of water level. But if it was a huge one, I would've noticed it.

They gave me a whole headache this summer I should be enjoying. I feel like I got screwed over and they’re not believing me. They think that if I did it, I wouldn’t try to make a huge thing out of it. To me, it’s being honest and you’ve done it. When I called the Namco headquarters, they gave me a patching kit. It's like they want me to do it myself even though it wasn’t my fault. I said to them, “Fine. Right now I’m just upset. Give me the patching kit. Right now that’s what I’m going to get from you.” But patching kit is $16. I tried to tell them that if they noticed something like that, wouldn’t they just go replace it right away? Or tell me, “Listen, we cut it. This is how we’re going to patch it up.” Be fair with me. But don’t try to do it like I did it to myself.

I spoke with somebody on a Monday, and they said they would talk to me over the week. So this past Monday I called again and told them nobody got back to me. They told me they’re going to go look into that situation to investigate more. And the lady said to me, “Well, we need to see the proof.” And I told her, “Why didn’t you tell me that a week ago? I could’ve sent you the pictures.” I also said that I'll just send the pictures to the Namco store. But they said, “No, we need to have it.” But they could’ve asked me that a week ago. I could’ve sent it to them. They said that whoever needs to look at it, they need to call the installers and find out, and they basically told me over the phone that they never had a problem with the installer and that they’re very good people.

I took pictures during the installation, but I wasn’t really sure what to look for. I also told them that the whole pump is moving and it was missing screws, so they gave me a couple of screws to re-do it. And I told them that when the liner is connected, there’s a bolt sticking out. And my friend who did his pool himself said, “Who did your pool? Because if they’re professionals they could’ve hidden those bolts behind the post.” Because the kids could brush on it and get scrapes and whatever. So when I told this to the lady from headquarters, she said, “Oh, no. This is how we do it. The bolts you just take out. And if you want, just put a tape over it, that’s fine.” But I told her that it’s possible to make it nicer.

Since I didn't know anything about pools. I'm finding out the things that Namco could have done from my friend. I just feel like it wasn't resolved. I want somebody to be responsible for their mistakes, and it won’t be me. I went with Namco because two other people I knew bought from them and they did not have any problems. But they installed it themselves. Also, the other pool company that I spoke to wanted to charge me twice Namco's price. It cost me about $4,000 and I'm not a rich lady that can afford spending all that money. It was something that I wanted for years, so I figured that was a good year. I can invest and pay it off in two years. But I really don’t want a pool at this point. I'm frustrated because I’ve been fighting through the whole summer with this.

We bought a pool from Namco 15 years ago. We now got a huge leak in it, it collapsed, so it’s time to replace it. We went down to their store. It’s a busy location so it’s easy to get to although the store itself is dated and could use a refresh. Nonetheless, we knew what we wanted, we told them the size that we have and what we’re looking for, and we asked them for options. They walked us through the process and they took the time and explained the options to us. I think the prices were fair, we found something we liked, it was nice and we got our pool done. They installed it and they worked with us in the weather, so that was good. They were very nice and they made the entire process easy for us. The store and the people were great.

I recently went in to see about purchasing another above ground pool and was met by Becca, who was patient, professional and knowledgeable. I had to return a few weeks later in order to make the purchase as I wanted to pay for the pool all at once. Becca was not there however everyone present spoke highly of her, ensured her that she would be credited and notified that I made the new purchase. My wife grew up in this area and we always had a pool here. It was a 24-footer, but she and I are the only ones here around the household and use the pool. So we had Namco to cut it in half and they gave us a good deal. It's better to keep clean than the 24-footer. We use this pool to cool off and exercise because when you get older, you'd want a way of exercising with low impact. Also, dealing with their reps at the store was excellent. We already had a stand in the original pool, but it turns out we didn't have enough so we have to get a stand delivery. Then, the installer was coming up $50 for spending an hour to clean the grass off the stand. Other than that, I would definitely tell somebody else to buy from them.

My existing Danbury Namco purchased pool rusted in one totally random spot, not anywhere near the inlets, just a baseball sized hole in the wall, that then split, as if it was opened by a can opener. So, as it was 10 years old, Danbury Namco said, "Sorry, but that's the way it goes." Fair enough. I purchased a new pool, aluminum walled this time, along with the extra warranty. I also paid for their installer to do the job, as the salesgirl said they would "do EVERYTHING, level the ground, do ALL THE PUMP HOOK UPS ETC". And I quote, "This is what they do for a living, why don't you let them do it?," I said "My pool has a deck around it." "They do those all the time, let them do it", she replied. So we paid and signed up.

The installers came, and first thing they said, "we don't do deck around pools." Ok then. So after work, for three nights, I cut open 2/3rds of my deck, so they could install just the pool. Next visit, (two weeks later), installers said, "you have a pool, but no liner, in these boxes". Quick call to Namco. Apparently, Miss salesgirl forgot to order it! Two week wait on the order now, and we have to reschedule with the installer because they are "busy with other jobs". Three weeks later, Danbury Namco call. "your liner is here, but you'll have to pick it up". As I was just about to leave home to fetch it, they call back, "we will get it delivered". An hour later, a couple that live 3 streets away, pulled up in our drive, with our liner! Apparently, as they were shopping in the store, the salesgirl seen they lived in the same town, and asked them to deliver it!

On the fourth week, the installers came back, and installed the pool frame. I got home from work, and noticed none of the pump and filter hook ups were done. My wife said, "he said they don't do that, and Namco tells all the customers the same crap, that they do". So, after work, again, I did the plumbing work, finishing in the night. I told my wife, "it's done, they can fill it now". Yes, you've guessed it, " We don't do that, you have to order the water yourself". I'm done with Namco, I'll pay the extra money to get actual service from now on. And I tell my neighbors and friends (like the nice couple that had to deliver my liner) BEWARE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! DON'T DO IT!

He also didn't install the shut off valve that we purchased and had to come back for that as well. Recently our filter broke. Jocelyn at the Manchester CT store tried helping us replace it. Corporate apparently had it on pull back and she was told she couldn't sell us the same exact filter. We would have to special order it and no one could tell us how long that was going to take.

She was trying to handle our situation and help customers all by herself at the store with no help and nobody from customer service answering our calls. We purchased a display filter yesterday because Jocelyn took the initiative to finally give us a resolution. I am very displeased with Namco's service and will no longer be doing business with them. Jocelyn was a great help and she seemed very flustered being at the store by herself with no help. That is not a fair way to treat your employees or customers.

We don't believe there is enough sand underneath the pool and stones/tree roots are sticking out from underneath the pool area. There are ripples in the bottom of the pool and don't expect this liner to last very long. While I am satisfied with my in store experience, I do have some issues. Let's start with the good. 1st your sales staff was great to deal with and very informative. They answered all my questions politely. I have since been back for other items. However my issue is with your installer. And there are a few issues with them. 1st of all I am not thrilled about the fact, that myself as the homeowner was told I needed to pull my own permit. I understand paying for it but I feel that should be the contractor's duty. The fact that the contractor basically scammed me out of the extra fee for excavation really bothered me.

I work in the construction field as a heavy equipment operator. He told me he had to remove 9" of material which was a total lie, however for sake of not arguing I told him to go ahead and continue with the job anyway. I gave some specific directions on how I wanted the pool lined up (have an existing deck I wanted pool parallel to). It's not straight and gap looks horrible. While I understand that no liner will be perfect, I feel there are a lot more wrinkles in the floor of my pool than necessary. It was a bit windy the day of install. I feel if I did not pick up the mess as they were installing, there would have been debris all over my neighborhood. I guess in closing what I am saying is that maybe you should look into other installers, who will represent your brand better.

They’re also not always attentive or they don’t have enough employees in the store to help with the people that are there. But I worked with Namco when I was 17 and I knew enough about a pool to know what I wanted so I didn't really need a lot of help. Still, Namco should hire people who know more. They got kids who are 21 years old and under working in there, which is fine, but they should require some kind of training for them. I wouldn’t recommend Namco.

I’ve purchased a pool from Namco in the past. I was happy with it so I bought another one and this time, I went with an above ground pool. The value of the pool was good. Picking on price versus quality, we went with the one with the higher end pools. The purchasing process went fine but my experience this time has been less than great. I purchased the pool on April 2nd to get it installed early on in the summer but I had issues with getting the pool delivered. I called about a month ago to check on the delivery of the pool. I was told that it would be delivered the following week, that I would get a call that week, and that they would also arrange the install. That week came but nothing happened. There was no call. I called back the following week and received the same story. No call again. I ended up having to get on the phone with customer service and quite a few people to finally get the pool delivered so I could arrange to have the install done.

My goal was to have the pool installed by Memorial day weekend and they got the pool delivered in time. The next part was to have the excavation done on the site but they subcontracted somebody to come in and do the excavation. He totally messed up the site that the pool was sitting on so I had to go in and excavate myself. I have the equipment and I’m capable of doing that but the reason I had paid Namco to do it was because of my time. I ended up having to do it anyway. I also had an expense out of pocket because of the material that I had to have brought in to put into the site, which wouldn’t have been necessary if somebody didn’t tear the site up.

I had been on customer service trying to get this resolved a bit. I was looking for some credit back due to the money I have out of pocket and a bit from my time. But customer service requested that I contact the sub-contractors themselves which is not the right way for me to do it. I didn’t sign a contract with the sub-contractor, I signed a contract with Namco. This is something that’s still in process but I’m less than happy with any results that I’ve received from Namco's customer service.

I’ve dealt with the other pool places in the past and they were outrageous. And so now we went with Namco since they’re not that far away. Rick, the sales rep and manager, was great. When I spoke with him, we explained that it was going next to a pre-existing deck and that we needed a buttress-free system. That’s why we picked the pool that we ended up getting. But when we received it, we got the buttresses and so, there was mix-up somewhere. We’ve called them back and forth but they kept patching us through to different places and nobody would ever answer the phone. Then they started dodging us and leaving us on hold forever. We were on hold for 25 minutes so we used another one of our cellphones and called. The other person said, the person that we were waiting for already went home. So, that was a pain.

We just figured that we were going to have to take it as is. And so, I had to go underneath the deck and dig trenches to put these buttresses. I had to rent machinery to compact it and buy stuff for grounds stabilizer to make sure it would hold these buttresses up. Once I installed the buttresses, that next day I came home from work and the parts that we originally needed were here. Before that, my wife had talked to another lady and she told us, they don’t make that style of pool anymore because it collapses. Or because it was a thinner wall and they don’t have it with buttress-free anymore.

We ended up starting to install the pool when all of a sudden, some of the buttress-free parts showed up. So, I tore all that apart and put all the other stuff back together except, we were missing all kinds of stuff. I had to go make 16 plates and had to go buy grade 8 stainless bolts and other stuff that was missing. The packages said that there were 32, but the instruction said we needed 40. And the I open the packages and there’s 31. And a bunch of them said that they were stainless, but they were not. They were just galvanized. I wanted to follow the instructions to a T because it’s 45 tons of water sitting there. I’ve got downhill neighbors so if it ever collapsed, it would waste their house. So, I started going back and forth, getting nuts and bolts and trying to find grade 8 bolts around, that length was a chore.

So, it was a pain, but I guess that’s what you get for installing it yourself instead of having a crew that does it every day. They probably have all the extra parts in their truck. The manager said he was going to send us a $250 voucher to use at the store. So that would make me feel better about the pain that I’ve had but right now, I don’t think I would recommend them.

The interaction I witnessed with a bully ignorant stupid person was beyond gross... Robert was berated to a new level of degrading a store personnel. This should not happen to anyone anywhere. My experience as a adult has NEVER witnessed this action. Robert should be an example of professional behavior in the workplace. Please extend to your fellow staff Robert is a person outstanding character. He should be an example of professional behavior in the workplace. I'm happy with Namco. When I first purchased our first pool 15 years ago, it was a good price and deal. However, I'm far away from them so I get some of the locally. Sometimes Namco stores could have more supplies in there because I don’t think they stock enough. But the people usually are helpful though I did have a bad experience a few years ago with a person that didn't really care so I'm sure they're hopefully not there anymore. Overall, I'm satisfied with Namco.

However, the house is going to be sold because her parents are elderly now and we don't have use of the pool. We also have one of those small iTech pools for the grandkids for the last few years, and we decided to get a little bit bigger one. Namco is one of the three places in town and they also install the product. We have ordered and set up a contract with them and it should be delivered tomorrow. It was an easy process and the salesman was really helpful. He didn't try to oversell us and gave us options if we wanted to conserve. They were courteous and able to answer all of our questions. It was cost-effective and our experience with them has been pleasant so far.

I went to the Namco Pools in Southington and the rep was really nice. He sat down with me and we went through all the stuff. Then, the installation was very nice and professional. They were done in a day and I had no problems. The guy came back, gave us free pool school and taught us how to do everything. Also, I go to Namco in Rocky Hill a lot because I get all my supplies there. The woman who might be the manager is so nice over there. Our new pool has a good deal and it checked all the boxes that we wanted. We decided to put another one in because it had been several years and the last one was old. The previous pool owner bought the pool at Namco. It rusted out so we went back to the same store and got another above-ground pool. Everything went well with the purchase. The only thing was we purchased a wall thing on the base that is supposed to go on the edge of the pool. When the installer came, I asked if it was really important or not, and he told me it’s more of a personal preference. We paid for it, but the installer said it wasn’t included and the project has already started. I asked my dad but he didn’t want to stop the guy from doing the pool over that type of thing. The older pool didn’t have it but when we talked to the guy at Namco, he said it’s a good thing to have because it goes around so we won’t have holes or whatnot on the floor. Other than that, the pool installation was good.

I had the perception that Namco had affordable and reasonable prices so we purchased an above-ground, 18-foot pool from them. There was also a promotion on that size at the time that we were looking to make the purchase. The purchasing experience was mostly positive. I had some great conversations with the salesmen. We did everything over the phone and for the most part, the process seemed pretty straightforward. We live quite a distance away, so it was really helpful that the salesman did work with us over the phone and some things via email. And they also arranged for the installer to come and assemble the pool. We still get a foot of snow so we are looking to have the pool installed in May.

The only part that I’m uncomfortable or hesitant on at this point is that we purchased the pool with a card and we’re already making payments on it. But I don’t have any product here. We did the purchase in February and he said that a couple of things would be shipped to us. It was a pretty big purchase and I’m not sure what will arrive when. He may have given that to me and I may be spacing out, but I don’t recall that there was a specific date. I would feel slightly less anxious when all the items arrive. I’m probably out of my mind that I bought a pool I never even looked at. I guess I have a lot of faith in Namco’s products. But I would follow-up if I don’t see anything by the 1st of April.

We’re at our third pool from Namco. We have a signed contract and it’s paid for but we haven’t heard anything for the installation. In the past, we put up our own pool. This is gonna be our first experience of having them put it up. We’re a little nervous but we’ll wait and see how it goes. The only disappointment I had was that Namco closed their Latham store and it was actually a bit further out for us to go because we’re not from that area. They changed location, and the store that we went to for the third pool was almost like an empty room. There were just four or five pool setups and two people that was there were not getting their pools going and busy.

But at the Latham store, their shelves were full and ready to go for summer and there were people that were getting things going and working towards their spring line. We used to go there to buy our supplies, and now we won’t because it was not feasible to drive three hours to pick up chlorine and have our water checked. Other than that, we’ve never had a bad experience with Namco and I’m very pleased with the product.

We bought an above ground pool and deck from Namco. The other place got a great product but it has an outrageous price. I compared prices and there was a big difference so the pricing of Namco was good. And Namco had one product that was on layaway and then we realized that the pool was actually gonna be too big for the yard. It would've been a really good deal though.

Namco had a catchy place. We ended up purchasing the same day. I liked the way their rep was talking to me. I felt comfortable. I don't like to feel pressured when I'm purchasing something, she was really good and flexible too. I was told that we might have a problem because we have a marshland behind the house and the ground tends to be wet. So the pool that she was gonna sell us was an all steel one. And I was more worried about problems with rusting. I told her, "Then I'm gonna go with the newer style with all aluminum." And she was like, "Oh, yeah. That's why I reserved both of them. I just figured that way you can talk to the town and figure out which best gonna work for you."

I also told her that the building inspector in our town is really tough and I was surprised when I went over everything with him. The only thing he was really stringent on was staying away from the property line and keeping the pool close to the house because of the wetlands. When I told her about that, she was like, "Well, I want you to get all the information you need and then I'll hold these pools." That's why I told my wife, "I thought it was one of those things that will give you sleepless nights, but it wasn't at all." She was really good to deal with. But this other guy, he called us afterwards, and he was like almost mad. Like, he spent the time with us and we weren't buying the floor. I hate that.

The pools have come a long way since I bought one for my father years ago and that was just basically a pool. There are so much choices I have to pick from with the filtration systems and the way they're built. They do a lot more nowadays and it was very good. They haven't installed anything yet but I hope that the experience of buying it is the same as installation and everything else.

At that time, my kids wanted a pool and it was close to the summer. We recently moved to this house and it has a really big yard. We have space for the pool and so we used Namco Pools & Patios. It was a recommendation from some friends. And from my understanding, they do everything and come to the house. We asked them about that when we went to buy.

When I called and made an appointment with the installation company, they told me that I have to go to the city and do things. If they told me about that, I wouldn’t have paid the installation, and they just made it hard for me. I really have no time. I work, I have kids, and my husband works as well. Then just for that form, they were charging almost $1,000 or a little bit more on top. So it's not cheap and they should've at least told me. I told them that I would think about it and see what I can do. Because I'm not the type of person that’s gonna be running in all offices. They close like 4:00 or 5:00 and I don’t get out of work until 6:00. My husband is a truck driver so we had no schedule. It was just horrible.

So then I have to go to another company and canceled the installation with them. By then I want to return the whole system. We don’t have everything set up yet and the materials are still in the boxes because I wasn’t able to get all the papers that they asked me to do. They said that if I return, they will give me 50%. That’s their policy and that’s how they work. For me, it doesn’t make sense. There's always a return policy with anything that one buys. So I'm losing all that money and that's crazy. Then they told me that I can sell that to someone else.

We went to another place but it was a little bit more expensive. Now I know why. That company would do everything. All I have to worry about is just be home. I don’t mind paying a couple more hundred. I wanna be just nice and comfortable sitting in the pool. We were really disappointed. I was very dissatisfied and will not recommend them.

When our 13 year old NAMCO pool began to show signs of rust, we decided to purchase a replacement. We purchased a new model that had an aluminum side wall where the skimmer is located. We put the pool up in May and were able to enjoy the pool for one summer. We winterized the pool in the fall (as we have for the last 13 years), and this February we noticed that the aluminum wall has developed several splits in it and has collapsed. I called the company for a replacement since this pool isn't even a year old, and was told that they will not provide any warranty service since it was weather related.

We have had a fairly mild winter, far less snow and ice as in previous winters, and our last pool never had any issues. For a pool that is less than a year old to collapse like this is unacceptable. I also find it interesting that there are no negative reviews on their website. I recently posted a similar review to this, and it does not appear on their site. That, to me, is misrepresentation. We will never do business with or recommend NAMCO in the future.

On 5/11/16 I purchased a new 15 X 26 oval above ground pool and had it installed on 6/15/16 by Namco's Sub Contractor named Stephen **, SJ Pools. Had water delivered and paid $700.00. Within a month we had seven sink holes. I called Stephen and he came up to look at it and said the only way to fix it would be to drain the water and redo the liner. I wasn't happy with the idea of draining the water since we paid for delivery and would have to pay again for delivery. He said he would put in a claim to Namco for reimbursement of the $700.00 we would have to pay again for the water delivery.

After they came to redo the pool and water was delivered we gave Stephen the receipt. Stephen tried to get the reimbursement and I tried also. I was told to speak with James ** and given his business phone number. I called everyday for 4-5 weeks Monday thru Friday leaving James numerous messages. I even left messages to other employees at Namco's, never received a callback. All I am asking for is my $700.00 to be reimbursed back to me. To be clear, I am not blaming Stephen for anything. I am trying to ensure that this problem does not happen again so when I asked to customer service rep she immediately stopped helping and directed me to the manufacturer!

The manufacturer recommended resin rails however I would have to restart the warranty claim (photos etc). I asked Namco if they could get me the resin rails. Namco's rep rudely told me there was nothing she could do! I asked to talk to her superior and she refused to connect me to any supervisor - all of her communications (e-mails and phone conversations) have been rude, abrupt and not in a timely fashion! I am totally dissatisfied with Namco and their customer service department in particular the unprofessional person I have been dealing with! The other places I talked to seemed high-priced and I didn’t like what I was hearing from them. Then, a friend of mine told me that his father went with Namco in Peabody. I went up there and struck gold. The store manager was very sweet and intelligent when it comes to their products. Every question that I had, which deterred me from a couple of the other places, she hits right on spot. She also told me that I didn’t need to buy a lot or worry about a lot of other things. I was going to buy a bigger pool, and she told me I wouldn’t be able to fit it. And she was right, because when the installer came out to measure, he said that I would be fine with the 15-foot pool.

I’ve been to Namco several times since then. I bought all my cleaning products, chemicals, toys and floats, and bathroom cleaners from there. Another deciding factor was the price. I bought a lot of stuff on sale. I got a better deal from them from top to bottom. I had to call the store manager back four times for different small things, and even if she couldn’t take the call right then, she got back to me in a timely manner.

The installer came out first and measured because I wasn’t aware of the size. They were there two days after I bought the pool and installed it. He came back on his own time the next day to make sure there were no wrinkles in the liner and nothing was leaking. I had to call him one time because I had a question about a pump and he swung by on his way home and walked me through it. I also told a couple of my neighbors about Namco because they liked the pool. I hear all kinds of stories about how hard it is to get a pool up and running, and that in the end, it turns out to be a mess. But it’s the opposite. They did a good job and I was very satisfied.

I came in to the Namco store #00005 on Sat 7/30. I thought I needed a new pump/motor. The manager of the store, James ** helped me with the purchase of the new pump. I needed a pump right away, so I was disappointed to learn that the store did not have any in stock. I ordered a pump, he honored the online price that was less than in-store, and then added a coupon. Then he went above and beyond and set up a used pump to lend me until my new one came in. This was all while helping other customers on this busy day. His excellent customer service did not end there. The pump we borrowed did not work with our filter. I came back to the store the following day, he helped modify some fittings.

At the last moment I had him try my pump with the store's power source. It worked! James returned my order, insisted it was no problem even though he took the time to send me home with a pump. The other associates were also helpful. Namco is very fortunate to have an employee like James **. Without a doubt, I will be back at his store in the future. Thank you.

I ordered a pool almost two weeks before July 4th and was told by the store associate it would be installed by the 4th. First installer called and got upset with me because he couldn't make the deadline. I called the store right after and was told they would contact a new installer to meet the promised date. They never did. Didn't cancel the first installer either. I had to do that. Over the next 3.5 weeks I contacted the store and corporate office several times to find out who the new installer was and when it was going to happen. Never received a callback. Four weeks after original order, I had to pack up the pool (very heavy and lots of boxes) and return to store. Then the install manager "Dave" wanted to speak with me on the phone for the first time. They did refund my money. Complete lack of communication, made a promise they couldn't keep. Very disappointed. Now wife and kids go without this summer.

Called me at work because my son didn't answer the door quick enough then he hung up on me. I called him back to see what the problem was and he denied there was any problem. Never again will I order anything from them. The in store personnel have been courteous. I have not had any problems with the store.

When we went in to their stores, they had the items on display and we liked them. The initial purchase we had in August was great. We bought the pool, a whole outdoor patio set and swings. The guy was nice and helpful. However, he also told us to purchase the ladder and the filter in the winter as they ran holiday sales that time. When we called in though, there was never a sale. It turned into a huge nightmare. They said that we should have purchased those along the first time, so that we could have been booked for installation. We didn’t get our pool put in until July the following year, and even that was horrible. We had to keep calling.

The installers were okay. They had to come back once but it was more of Namco's fault. The main manager had no idea what he was doing. One of the assistant managers was terrible but the other one was excellent. He ended up fixing and getting the pool installed. He did a lot of work to fix a lot of people’s errors. But overall, it was a bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Robert, the store manager, was very knowledgeable and helped us decide upon and select exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, our installation didn't go so well -- the liner leaked and although we tried to contact the installer several times, he didn't return our calls. The first time he actually did call us back, he said that he would be over later in the week... but he never showed up. We tried contacting Namco's Customer Service, but it wasn't much help.

We contacted Robert for assistance. He followed up with both the installer and customer service. It took a couple of weeks, and we ran into a few more problems, but everything was finally resolved. Throughout it all, Robert always returned our calls, fought for us and made sure positive progress was made -- even working past his quitting time to make sure. Robert is wonderful to work with and is a true asset to the company!!!

The price was the main reason I went with them, though. The sales guys were the regular guys at the store and were okay. I told them what I wanted and asked what they had. I got two pools from Namco Pools and Patios. The first time was fine and we had that pool for five years. The second time, they had a little more of a problem. They sent me the wrong pool and the people that they contracted to install the pool were jerks.

Namco gave me a good deal on the pool. The lady was really nice and she helped me with everything. The only thing I don't like is they offer a system with an electrical part. They just tell you you're going to need this and that but I didn't know how hard it's gonna be having the electrical part. So I would've liked it if I would've gotten more advice about the electrical because this is not something simple that you're gonna just plug in the pump and start running. I would definitely tell people to find their own electricians. I spent about $700 buying the electrical supply that I needed to run the thing. If they would've told me, I would've paid $1,100 for them to have somebody do the installation anyway.

I also didn't like the installers. They were in a rush to do it. They have so many places to go and then they charge you $1,300 just for the installation. They do a real mess all over so it wasn't a nice experience. There's nothing that I can do with these people because I'm not paying them, I'm paying Namco. I spoke to the lady and she said, "We install it for you. We set it up nicely." You see the picture and you see how the pool's gonna end up, but it didn't end up like that. But with the service, it's something that they will help you a little bit more.

Namco Pool & Patio Equipment was a store right near the house so we went in. Aside from the location, we also went with them for the product that they offered and the discounted cost of buying the pool. From the moment we walked into the store, the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable. That person directed us to a pool and didn't try to oversell us. Everything was great. We bought an above-ground pool. Our pool wall collapsed due to the winter back in 2015, so we needed to replace that. We went to Namco in the beginning of March and they had some leftovers from the year before. It was a really good price. We did go to another store, but they said we had to come back in another six weeks because they really weren't promoting pool installation. It was too early for them. Namco was there and they were ready to get the job done.

The purchasing process was very easy. We financed it. We picked what we wanted and we were in and out. That process took all five minutes. When we bought the pool, we were assured that we were going to get it by Memorial Day. I called them up and asked about it. This was mid-May. The installers showed up on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and installed our pool. That was pretty impressive. The guys were fantastic. The whole experience was very positive. Both people I dealt with at the store in Hanover were very knowledgeable and very helpful in getting our pool installed by the promised time.

I bought a pool back in February 27th from Namco Pools and Patios. It's my third pool I've bought from them in my lifetime and it was quite an ordeal. I saw it online on my phone for $799 for an 18-foot, 52-inch in the middle. But when I told them I wanted that pool they said they don't have it and the closest one they got was $1,000 from a store, a floor model in Enfield. I told them that it's not what I came down there for, it's $200 more than I was expecting to pay because I just wanted a pool. I have the pump, the stairs, all the other accessories. And they said they'll have it down the store in about four weeks. On March 31st, I called back and they said it has not been shipped yet. I said it was not a problem since I'm not going to put it up until the beginning of May anyway.

When I called on the last week of April, the lady said they had the skimmer and a liner but not the pool. I told her those things were irrelevant because I don't need them, I need the pool. She put me on hold and when she came back on the phone she told me they didn't know where my pool was and asked if she could call me back. She's very professional, called me back and said Namco was going to give me another pool at the same price and they're going to deliver it. She was the only one that really did anything.

She took care of me because every time I'd call I'd get somebody different and I'd get a different story. I wasn't getting anywhere and I had already made one payment on it but I had no pool. So, I told them, "Prior to me making another payment, I have to have something here." Her name is Cherrie out at the Southington Store. She made all the calls and she got it all hooked up for me. So they made good, delivered and everything. I'm gonna put it up this weekend if it doesn't rain. It was excellent dealing with them.

However, there were issues with them not wanting to come out free of charge, so I ended up having to pay out of pocket. The pool made it through the winter, which is great. Then, there’s a whole piece that was cracked and when we brought it back to Namco, they didn’t recognize it. They said, “That’s not one of our pieces.” We went back on a Monday to show it to them. They had ordered it and it came in on Friday. Thankfully, we didn’t have to pay for that. Another piece was cracked, too. Instead of going all the way back over Hanover, we went to another store to get the piece so that we can open our pool.

Overall, we weren’t happy with the installation company. But the purchasing experience as far as working with the Namco store was great. We've gone back to the Hanover store and bought supplies from them. Additionally, the two salesmen have been great. I placed my pool order on the 6th of May. At the time of order, I was told it would be 10-14 business days until my pool was delivered to me. This was backed up by information on your website. As the beginning of that time frame came close, my wife called to get an eta so we could get some family members together to start setting up the pool. That call ended with us having no more information than we had to start with. She then called back a couple of days later and was told that the pool wasn't in yet but we should have it by the 3rd or 4th week of May.

I called back that very same day and was told the pool wasn't coming into the warehouse until the last couple of days of May and that we would receive the pool 5-10 business days after that. I explained what we were promised and the agent on the phone kept repeating the same information, making no effort to solidify a date for us to receive our pool. After becoming frustrated with her repeating the same response and having been given different answers every time we tried to get information, I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that was not possible. Never before in my life have I interacted with a customer service department that didn't have a supervisor available. Her excuse... they don't take customer calls and she is trained to service the customer. If that's her training and if it really is policy not to let customers speak to supervisors, Namco really needs to rethink its approach to customer service.

This whole order has made me regret ever making the decision to make a purchase with Namco. In two places, we were promised a lead time of 10-14 business days, and had we not made phone calls to find out the eta, I doubt anyone at Namco would have made a call to us to let us know that wasn't going to be possible. We made a promise to our son that we would have an end of school year pool party and if the last eta holds true, that may not be possible. The last customer service agent I spoke with could have taken the initiative to make an effort to see what could be done to make sure we get the pool as soon as physically possible, but she just couldn't be bothered.

I also stopped in the store later that day to talk to the store manager... the same person that placed our order. She sent an email to someone at customer service and cc'd that person's boss as well, saying that we needed to be contacted with information on the arrival date of the pool. 2 days later and I still haven't been contacted. Someone at Namco needs to step up and make this right.

Poor customer service or should I say no customer service! Our pool was ordered on April 9th & arrived on May 13th (and missing the pump). Tried to call the store for 5 hours & finally had to drive the 40 minutes to get the pump. I heard from the delivery man that I am not the only customer who is very upset with Namco. I really wish I could have gotten a refund and taken my business elsewhere. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Jeff has been a great help to me - answer my family. We bought our pool from him at the Orange CT store last year and we're so happy with it that we came back and bought a complete table set. This year we went back to see Jeff for the opening kit and ended up buying a complete patio wicker set. We'll end up buying a Jacuzzi from Jeff too. He's a great employee of Namco. Thank you.

Namco is a nice store and we like it. We always go there and get stuff. But the company who installed the pool was not good at all and I'm not happy with them. They made an appointment with us for Monday at 8:00 am but nobody showed up. I have my own company and had to leave my 6-7 employees in the job and go home to wait for the installation team. The installation team called me at 9:00 and said they'll be back at 11:00. They called again and said they were going to make it around 2:00 then showed up at 4:00. They lost me one day of work and ruined the whole day.

Namco charged me $2,050 to install the pool but the installation team wanted to charge me additional $350 to level the back of the house when everything was nice and leveled already. We ended up fighting for that and I almost sent the guys back. In the end, they told me I'm going to be charged $100. But, Namco is a good company. I will definitely send my sister and one of my best friend there, but I don't want the same company to install the pool. If the same company show up, we're gonna send them back.

The service I get at Namco in Manchester, CT is unmatched by any other pool company in the area. They greet you promptly, ask if you need assistance, but don't hound you. They give you the opportunity to ask for help, and then let you be and browse in peace if you don't. It is a great feeling walking in there knowing you aren't going to be hassled by someone looking to make a sale. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and are experts in their field without acting like it. I highly recommend Namco in Manchester for all your pool/hot tub/outdoor furniture needs. You won't be disappointed!

I would like to tell you how happy I have been with the Namco store in Auburn since James has been there! I have been a customer for a long time and have never been helped by anyone like James. I recently had an issue with my pool and needed information regarding my purchase from 7 years ago. James provided me with all of the information I needed immediately. I then needed to order a liner and he was able to get it for me in just a few days. I don't think I would have been able to get it all taken care of if James wasn't there. He went above and beyond to help me. He is such an asset to Namco Pool! I hope Namco realizes how lucky they are to have him.

I've been a customer at your Namco store in Manchester for I believe 20 years plus. I have purchased several pools, equipment, filter systems, motors and furniture. I never received any reward certificates in that entire time even though I brought it up to many employees who couldn't be bothered to look into it. This year I met Cody. Right away he was helpful in getting me set up this year and even offered to drive to Nashua to get me a part I needed. I asked him about the problem with the rewards and he immediately looked into it. The next time I went there he had gotten me credit for past rewards and now I'm also receiving rewards for my current purchases.

You are so lucky to have an employee like Cody who is both knowledgeable about your products and knows the meaning of customer service. I don't know if he is a manager but should be one so he can teach others how to be a successful business person. I have watched him interact with your newer employees and how he takes the time to teach them. Great find in Cody. Thank you.

Today we asked about a refund and they said, "Sorry, it is past the 14 days". I don't even have a pool to return. Really. I wish they would just give me refund so I can move on.

I bought a 24-foot, round, 52-inch pool from Namco. However, the purchasing process was a little difficult at first because the person that was assisting me was on her first week in her position. She couldn't answer all the questions, and she had trouble explaining things. She had to keep going back and forth to the book and asking other people. Also, I've been having issues with their sales department after the purchase. The installers were awesome though!

Also, I got a a pristine package with the pool but I was never told that I had to pick it up. They gave me my alarm when I made the purchase at their Southington site and that's all they gave me to leave with. So, I thought that's all I needed. They said I'll get everything else upon delivery. As the installers were installing my pool and were almost done, they ask for the sand, the filter hose, and everything else, which I didn't have! I called Namco and I couldn't get through for about 20 minutes. Then, I called customer service and they said they'd call the store for me to have everything waiting. I asked them "why do I have to drive back 45 minutes from where I live when they should've been given to me at the beginning?" I was waiting for a district manager to call me back, which I still haven't heard from and it's been 12 days now.

But since the installers were here, I drove 45 minutes to pick up everything and I drove another 45 minutes to get back in time before they're done. They were able to finish putting up everything. And then, there's one box left. When the installer opened it, he said they can't build my ladder because it was a liability and Namco doesn't allow them to build it and that it's in their clause. I called the store and sent an email to customer service. They responded with my contract and Paragraph B where it's stipulated that I have to build my own. If that's the case, their sales rep should've told me that upfront. But before I knew that part, I asked to bring the ladder back as I don't have time to build it. And then all of a sudden, they told me there's a restocking fee. Nobody told me there was a restocking fee to bring anything back that I didn't like when I only had it less than 30 days from delivery.

So now, I have a ladder in a box which I won't build because I don't feel I should have to build it. I understand the liability issues but I should've been told that upfront. And I should've been told also that I won't be able to take the package home now but I have to come back and pick it up. I went to that place twice during the initial purchase and they didn't tell me all that. And then, finally, I had to go a third time to pick it up. So needless to say, I will never, ever recommend them to any of my friends or family. And I will definitely tell them the experience I had, especially with that Southington location. They were unprofessional. The district manager never called back to try to resolve any issues. The only best part about it was the pool builders, because they were outstanding. But overall, it was a terrible experience.

I bought different types of parts and filters from Namco as I’ve known about them for quite a few years. I never had a problem dealing with them. They’ve always been as helpful as possible. I happened to run across their new location and I had to stop in and visit them. Then when I decided to buy another pool, I went to them first. I talked to a couple of other companies at shows, but I went right there at Namco and made my decision there. I liked Namco's salespeople - they’re fantastic and very good. We’re doing our own installation and Namco is very helpful as far as allowing us to do it ourselves. But at the same time, they wanted to make sure that we were satisfied doing it ourselves and because they have a very good team family. It has been a very pleasant experience.

Buyer beware!! They do not stand by their warranty for above ground pools! Even though you purchased it in their store you have to deal with a company in Japan who jacked the price up to replace it! In theory, I will spend MORE for just the shell than I would if I bought a whole new packaged pool! This is ridiculous! I used my pool 3 years, and this is how I'm treated!! I will never buy another thing from this company!

My experience with Namco was excellent. However, I had to cancel the pool because my property blocks up with the town property and I did not have enough room to put the side pool that I wanted to. When they called to schedule the delivery, I told the guy that we weren't going to be getting it and he said, "I'm sorry to hear that." Then, they took it back with no questions asked and everything was good. They were professional, courteous, respectful and accommodating for everything. If I am interested in a hot tub, I am going to go back to them.
