Works well and has a good sound when cleaning. I like the quietness of the product and length it takes to run the dishwashing cycle. I don't have to rinse dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. Nice, efficient size for any kitchen. I can fit any dish, pot, or pan into the machine and it will be clean. I don't have to separate the silverware exactly. Price was good and I got what I paid for. Didn't have to purchase an expensive product to get the cleaning power that I needed to get my dishes clean.

Very easy to use and works without any problems and also have many extra features that are very helpful at saving time, water, and energy. Standard 24 in but the inside is designed for large capacity load. Very easy to load a whole day's dishes at once and not have any problem. Outside is black, inside is stainless steel. Very easy to clean outside with inside very easy to use cleaning cycle and it is very quick cleaning so you can use it again. When on sale this is an excellent product. Cannot beat the price for all the features that you get. Can get it in a couple of days and very easy to install and use right away.

It gets the job done. It does a good job cleaning the dishes and also drying them. There usually is not a spot left on the dishes or glasses. The size of the dishwasher is appropriate. It fits enough dishes, glasses, and silverware. I cannot complain about the size. It also fits nicely in the area that we have it in the kitchen. The appearance of the dishwasher is nice. It is made nice and it is sturdy. I cannot complain about the appearance. The dirt also comes off nicely when you clean it. The value of the dishwasher was nice. I think the price that I paid was a fair price especially for what the dishwasher does. I cannot complain about the price that I paid.

Runs smoothly, not super loud, always cleans everything. The dishwasher has been running great. I never have had any issues with the dishwasher. The size fits my area in the kitchen great. I love that the size is not too big but yet it fits really well. I have enjoyed the washer machine. The metal has fit well together with my whole kitchen. I would like the buttons on the front though. That is the only problem I have had. The washer seemed a little expensive for my budget and thought it works well but yet the price definitely works for how they uses. I just think for the middle class it might be much.

It cleaned the dishes amazingly. I have never seen my dishes so clean. The process was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this dishwasher if you want your dishes clean. It is an alright size but it could fit most of my dishes but some I had to wait to do them separate. This shouldn't stop you from getting it. So what if it doesn't fit all of the dishes, it fits most. Though the performance is great the design was slacking big time. It could look so much better but don't judge a book by its cover. The appearance shouldn't throw you off too much. The price was so worth it. You might think it's a little too much but the value for the performance is great. I know, I usually have a problem with prices but this my only exception.

It is powerful and exceptionally easy to use. It is intuitive and the dishes come out sparkling clean with no need to rewash or rinse. It is also energy efficient and uses less water than other dishwashers. It is quite large and accommodates all of my dishwashing needs. I can also comfortably fit several pots and pans, as well as at least a day's worth of dishes. It looks very sleek and modern. I think it comes in several different finishes and colors and there are enough options to fit in any kitchen. The dishwasher itself was a little expensive but you save money on water and electricity and it looks very durable. I imagine t would last a while and need very little repair.

My dishes are clean when they come out. I was afraid that there would be food residues and other stains, but that did not happened. It has a great number of water jets that get the dishes wash at every angle. It's just the right size, plenty of space inside to fit large plates and pots and pans. The bottom shelves makes it easy to wash large baking sheets and the separators help organize and allow you to fit many dishes in there. It had a very advanced top of the line sleek look that do not disappoint. It looks more like a work of art than a dishwasher. I felt like I bought something straight from the future. What I got for the price I got was not bad. I expect it will last me a long time and work hard for my family. The price could've been less which would have been awesome. But I got what I paid for.

It is a good dishwasher but I'm not too crazy about it. It does not wash the dishes perfectly. Even if you pre-wash the dishes, do not see any crazy results. Its size is ok, fits perfectly and for the family of 4 it is just enough space in it. I'm not too crazy about the appearance. Nothing special just white. A little old looking not too modern design. But still good enough. The value of the dishwasher is very good. It does not cost a fortune. I would say a good value for what it does. In some stores is really cheap.

We didn't have any problems with the washer during our time with it. I would get another one when in the market for it. It was easy to use. We would usually have to leave the door open to finish air drying the dishes. I had it down to a science on how to fit everything in the washer for loads. It could usually fit everything we needed it to in one load. It seemed to the right fit for my family. It was your average appearance dishwasher. It wasn't flashy, which was fine for my household. I don't feel that our house would need a flashy or better-looking dishwasher. The dishwasher came with the house when we first bought it, so we weren't the original owners. But I feel like I looked up how much it would to replace it if necessary and it was a good value for the money.

It works great and is really efficient and quiet. It just seems to take a long time to complete. I think it works great and really cleans the dishes. It fits perfectly in my kitchen. It seems to have a lot of room and fits a lot of dishes. I would like to have a little more creativity in the way I fit in my dishes. It fits into my room decor and it looks fairly sleek. It doesn't stick out at all. I don't think you are really looking to see the dishwasher so it blends in nicely. I feel like it is a good value. It is fairly efficient (which is why I think it takes so long). So it doesn't use a lot of water or electricity while it cleans the dishes. It was a good price.

Definitely reliable and sturdy. Lasts a long time if treated well. Also cleans really well with spotless dishes. Personally I loved my dishwasher. The dishwasher was kind of small on the top task. Could definitely use more space for pots and pans and larger than normal cookie sheets. Not the most attractive dishwasher. If you want performance, go for this one but if you want appearance then something else would be for you. Definitely a great value. Great performance for a great price. Very good investment to make for a new family on a budget. Lasts for a really long time so makes the buy even better.

It's a very dependable, high quality dishwasher and it works great. I would recommend it to anybody. I would even go out and buy an extra one for my house. I love my dishwasher. It's very large on the inside and fits just right in my kitchen. Has all the necessities I need and I couldn't ask for a better dishwasher. It's just right for my cabinets. My dishwasher is black, matches my counters and it's easy to clean. It's also very bright. It never shows dirt or scum or grime. It's perfect and I would even recommend it to family and friends. It's very well worth its value. It's actually worth more than its value, it worth a whole lot more than what I paid for it. It's a great product for its price.

It performed well. Got the dishes nice and clean. Compact but packs enough punch to get the job done. Add rinse solution to help get rid of spots. It is smaller but works well. Big enough for a small family, but if you have a lot of people living in the house you may need something a bit bigger. It is big enough to hold large dishes, smaller pots and pans. Appearance you would probably expect from a new appliance. It is white and therefore shows dirt but is easy to clean and actually doesn't get dirty often. The price was very affordable even for a smaller dishwasher if you shop at the right place. It is a more of a basic model but has enough punch for the price.

It works well on dishes and glass - virtually no streaking. Does an inadequate job on pots and pans, best to do these by hand. Fairly quiet and has never leaked. At most we were a family of four and the dishwasher was of sufficient size to only require dishwashing once or twice a week. It is a standard size, nothing special. It is a nice looking dishwasher. It is very easy to maintain. I have never scratched it nor has it ever chipped. The holders inside are brittle and a few have broken. We got it on sale years ago. It was a good value and years of satisfactory service support this assertion.

Very functional and easy to use. The best dishwasher I ever had. Noiseless and fast cleaned. This dishwasher is cheap in price but good in quality for a small family. Works very well. I'll update when it breaks down to let others know how long it lasts with regular use and care. Very good size. Can place pots, dishes and almost all your dishes for a family of four. Love this dishwasher. It is quiet and gets the dishes clean. Plenty of room to put larger items. A welcome addition to my home. I would recommend this. Simple dishwasher with basic controls but it works very well. Includes the basics to start washing such as soap packets and jet dry. Simple is good in my book since there is less to go wrong. It's working strong so far. Great price, great performance. I always trust Kenmore brand. Good buy. Does what it is suppose to do. I would recommend it to someone. Price was excellent too.

Space is good and color is perfect for my kitchen. I would recommend it any time 'cause it's good. It's very sophisticated and easy to match with colors kitchen. I love this kind of dishwasher. The value is good and perfect. It a good quality for the value, you are not going to be disappoint because it's a perfect dishwasher and not too expensive.

This dishwasher cleans well. The only problem I have is the dishwasher not completely drying. When I go to empty it, the dishes have water sitting on them and I have to dry most of them off if not all. The size fits well under my counter. The size of it also fits the dishes well in it. It could be a little bigger but the size it is works fairly well. The appearance of this dishwasher is great. It is all black. The all black can sometimes cause issues with fingerprinting though. Fingerprints on the dishwasher are extremely noticeable. I feel like what I paid for the dishwasher it should dry better. That should be part of the dishwasher that should work well. I should not have to dry the dishes off after every wash.

I hate doing dishes so any dishwasher was a joy. I babysit a whole summer to get this dishwasher and it was worth it!!! The dishes came out sanitized. Since there were only two of us in the family I could easily fit my whole load in. The dishes came out of the dishwasher clean as a pin. Looked like a regular dishwasher. Very easy to clean and keep fingerprints off of. I had black to match the rest of my appliances which were Whirlpool and they matched up perfectly. The price on this dishwasher was better than all I had checked with in the area at Lowe's and Home Depot. I had also checked at a couple of furniture stores in the area.

I am very pleased with the Kenmore Dishwasher that I purchased some time ago. It is easy to load. Plenty of room for 4 serving size of dinner plates, glasses and all other things used at a family meal. Pots and pans are not a problem. They always come clean. No pre-rinsing is required before loading to have all come out spotless. It is a built in Dishwasher and is the regular size of built-in dishwashers. I don't know the exact dimensions. It is large capacity interior, which will take care of a large amount of dishes, silverware, glasses and pots and pans. The door is easy to open and controls are in a handy location. My Kenmore Dishwasher has a white exterior with silver trim around the top. It matches other kitchen appliances that I have. Everything is well-coordinated which gives good decor. I don't remember just how much I paid for the Kenmore Dishwasher but it was priced right. I purchased at Sears and got financing which made it nice.

Runs quietly and quickly. Cleans dishes like a charm. Best brand name for a dishwasher. Highly recommended. Kenmore has many different types of dishwashers and quite a few different styles and colors too. This dishwasher fits well in my small kitchen. It also holds all of my dirty dishes at once. I only have to run it once a day or at least every other day. I have discovered that using Cascade dishwasher soap is the best one to use for washing the dishes. You don't have to use a lot of soap. It also dries the dishes fast. The appearance is just plain so that it will match any style of your kitchen area. It is average sized so it can fit in almost any sized kitchen room. This dishwasher fits well with anyone's budget. It's not too much at all. It is definitely worth the price to pay. It lives up to the Kenmore reputation.

Nice easy to use dishwasher that is quiet and cleans dishes rather fast. Takes packet, liquid, or powdered detergent. Is very quiet and runs through a cycle in under 30 minutes. Fits at least 30 large plates, and at least triple the amount in small plates. Fits about 32 cups on the top shelf. Bowls can be a bit of a trick, but it can fit at least 6 bowls on the top rack as well. Nice, easy to clean. White finish makes it easy to clean and maintain. Has easy to push buttons and settings that allow you choose the type of wash you wish to have. This dishwasher has lasted for years. Great value for the price and workmanship. I have to basically hand wash with soap and a scrub brush beforehand in order to have them come out clean. I am beginning to think of dishwashers as sanitizers rather than something that actually cleans the dishes. It's really quite frustrating. I can fit a lot in there, even though it's pretty small. The only issue I have is that some cups don't fit in the top and pans have to be washed separately but that's pretty normal. It's nothing special really, just your typical dishwasher, but it's a sleek black that fits nicely with my stove and oven. That being said, it isn't ugly either. As I said before, I'm dissatisfied because I shouldn't be required to hand wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. It's not only this one I've had this problem with though, nor this brand.

This dishwasher has a great traditional design that would fit in with every style kitchen. It is also very easy to clean the door of the unit. I think this dishwasher is a great value. It does a great job of cleaning all the dishes. It uses a small amount of water and electricity to run and it didn't cost a lot of money.

Does a thorough job cleaning most dishes. Some utensils still need to be soaked prior to putting them in the dishwasher, but that's about it. Have to get creative with some dishes to ensure they don't prevent the spray bars from spinning. Running two loads wouldn't be an issue if it didn't seem like the standard cycle took all night to finish. The dishwasher complements our kitchen. It looks sharp and the stainless steel is fairly easy to keep clean. The handle is pretty sleek, too. Purchased the dishwasher as part of a Black Friday special. Based on the available features, I still think it offers one of the better values for the upper mid-range of dishwashers.

It is plain but it gets the job done. Appearance isn't everything to me so I'm totally fine with it. I like plain and simple. If you don't need all the frills and fancy things that you get sometimes in appliances, this dishwasher would be good for you. It's louder than we expected (partly because it resonates within the cupboards it's next to) and recently has started to leak -- not from mechanical issues that we can observe, but based on the type of detergent we use in it. Ball/pod detergents seem to be incomparable with it. Otherwise it's performed reliably and done its job. We knew what we were buying and we're already assuming we'd replace it a few years into owning the home.
Fits enough items that we can usually clear one side of the sink if not both; for larger pots and pans we sometimes can't fit everything in one cycle. Very nice looking for a mid-range model; matches well with our other appliances and isn't as susceptible to fingerprints as other stainless items we've owned. We got what we paid for -- not saying it's not a fair value for a "builder model" but rather that we knew the level of quality we were getting and assumed we'd need to upgrade in a few years. Cheaper to do that ourselves than through the home studio/builder.

I have had several dishwashers. MY best one was a Kenmore - 30 years ago. Well, I don't know what has happened but this last Kenmore dishwasher is a piece of JUNK! Not only have the wheels on the arms broken 3 times (that pull the top rack in and out) but it does not clean. Filth and small granules of food are stuck on the inside of cups and glasses, plates feel sticky. When trying to troubleshoot, it looks like the spray arms are not working/moving. For what I have spent in replacing parts it hardly seems worth it to invest anymore in this thing. Very Disappointed.
When I went out looking to replace it, was told that any American Made Dishwasher is only made to last 5-7 years tops! And that is why they push the extended warranty. Well I think that this throw away attitude and lack of quality from manufacturers is pathetic. I have been told to look at European models, specifically Miele. In needing other new appliances I Will NOT Be Looking at any Kenmore (Whirlpool) products! Kenmore is NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

It works great. Cost effective. Only complaint is wheels come off at times. But the dishes come out clean and the drying is great. If you are on a budget it is a solid purchase. I am very happy with it. Nice size. Fits a lot of dishes, the top rack is very versatile. It can store different things and in different ways. The silverware caddy removes nice and easy too. I really did not get this model for the looks, it was the price compared to other dishwashers that made it attractive. It looks like a budget model, but it doesn't look bad by any means and fits the kitchen nicely. The job this dishwasher does at the price compared to other brands and models make it a best buy. If you want a dishwasher that is basic and does the job right, this is the way to go.

Sometimes we can wait until after breakfast the next day to start. I love the stainless steel and black look. It matches our other appliances perfectly and is sleek and easy to clean. I bought a Kenmore 5 years ago and still have and use it. It has never broken down and continues to do a great job. It's efficient and energy saving. Is 24 inches wide and about 24 or 25 inches deep. I paid around $300 for it and that was about 5 years ago. It's about 35 inches high so the overall size is pretty standard. Great Design. Attractive. The display panel on the front blends in nicely and clean. It's understated and attractive and yet simple. My Kenmore was certainly not the top of the line model but it is very well done and has a very high-quality appearance. I feel I paid a great price. It was on sale. The size of this dishwasher is a standard size that will fit into most of the built-in areas for dishwashers in the average home. It is fairly large and has a spacious compartment to load all kinds of cookware. The color and texture of this particular dishwasher, I feel personally, can easily blend in with any kitchen decor, and is also quite eye-catching and attractive in appearance. Washes well, easy to use, dishwasher runs very quietly. There are lots of options to choose from which will help with the cycle you need to run based on the dishes you have used and how dirty they are. Silverware holder is in the bottom rack which doesn't allow you to get as many plates are large items, I usually run my dishwasher about every 3-4 days and we are a family of 4.
I am not fond of the black plastic at the top with the stainless steel look, I would rather have the entire thing stainless to match the rest of the items in my kitchen and also having the buttons in the front allow little hands to be reaching and touching them, which may cause some of the cycles to mess up. I would say these are great for the value, they last 8-10 yrs depending on the use and how much they are used. My last Kenmore lasted 11 years, the racks started breaking and rusting up.

I have had no problems fitting large bowls and long grill utensils in either the top or bottom rack. The dishwasher's appearance is just OK. It is easy to use based on the design of the panel, however the stainless steel front stains up fairly badly. I feel that the value of the dishwasher compared to what we spent on it is not very good. With my Kenmore, I literally don't even have to rinse my dishes before putting them in and they come out clean with the first wash, saves so much energy and money. This size is perfect for me even though there are only 2 people in my household. Sometimes we aren't the best at getting dishes done right away and they accumulate fast. It fits everything great and I usually only need to do one wash per time.
Definitely looks sleek and modern. I like that it's not white and doesn't get dirty on the front easy. I've had white ones before that just get dirty to the point that no cleaner can even get whatever is on it off. This one cleans up really nicely and easily. Some models are a little more pricey but the quality is worth it. Even with my large family, I can fit all of a week's dishes--including pots and pans into one load. There is enough space between the two baskets for taller dishes, and enough space up top for taller glasses. The stainless steel front blends nicely with most kitchen decors. Plus, the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Its black accents match other appliances in my kitchen. Overall, even though it's almost 10 years old, it still has a modern look that enhances my kitchen's appearance. I have many times over gotten the value for the money paid for this dishwasher. The best thing I like is the stainless steel inside of this dishwasher. However, we have had problems with debris being left in cups/glasses, especially if they are put on the bottom rack. For the most part I'm happy with the size of the dishwasher. Frying pans and large pots fit on the bottom rack...just doesn't leave much room for any dishes if they are very large. We have a black outside on the dishwasher which I have found to be very nice for hiding dirt. Most stains are not very noticeable and it clears very easy with a quick wipe down. This was a little more expensive than the other dishwashers but it was worth the money because it consistently works hard with large loads and a large family.

Sometimes it doesn't seem to get the dishes done or clean. Doesn't get them dry. Sometimes I have to redo them even with using the products that it recommends. It's just two of us in the house, it takes a couple of days to get enough to wash. It's small enough for my very small kitchen, it fits in a small space and it is easy to hook up to the garage disposal. It's white and plain. I didn't want anything with too many buttons or too hard to clean. It cleans off without too much effort and I like that. I can just use a cloth to clean the front off. It wasn't high priced so it was easy to purchase. It was very heavy to carry in the house. I liked it cause of its low price since that is how I shop.

It fits very well in my kitchen. It had tons of space which I could wash dishes and it got many of the stains and smears that my family makes. They are all messy eaters. I didn't have to do a ton. I just pushed the button and it went. It works great and I really haven't ever had a problem with it. I was responsible and cleaned it every so often. It's just getting older and I want a new one.

Nice, clean lines, lights are easy to see and the dials are easy to read. Like the way it compliments my other appliances. Husband likes it well, also as he often loads it. Thankfully it was still under warranty then, but still would not expect something to go wrong with it for just a year’s worth of use. It was big enough to fit all of our needs just fine, and we have a family of four. Never had an issue with the space with it at all. Overall, the outside of the unit is very nice, because I got the stainless steel one to match all of my other appliances in the house. Inside, it looks like any other dishwasher. The value was alright, not a real big deal and not a real big price either. But overall, I would say that it was okay for what I had to pay for it.

Ultimately I can't make a bigger comparison here as it's roughly the same size of my previous washer, but I can say that even with pretty full loads I have had no trouble loading up to capacity and felt I didn’t have enough space. I am a one who tends to appreciate minimalist design so I like uniform colors and the sleek metal look tends to match the décor of my kitchen very well. My dishwasher is about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It holds a lot of dishes, so I am very satisfied with it in that matter. It fits well in my kitchen, but it doesn't take up too much space, even though it is quite roomy on the inside. I love the color of it - it is black and silver, so it blends in with my other appliances (e.g. my refrigerator). It is quite shiny, too, but not too much of a shine. My wife and I needed to replace the dishwasher that came with the house when we purchased it 5 years ago. The old one was terrible and we wanted something more reliable so we did quite a bit of research. This dishwasher is quiet but it does not hold as much as my old one did. At first, I was not sure about buying a dishwasher on the web, but it arrived safely; and once installed I could not believe how quiet this dishwasher is!
It is a really great dishwasher. The only drawback that I can think of is that it does not show remaining time. A lengthy dry, the condensation drying takes a while to happen. Unlike a drying element which relies on brute-force-heating, these dishwashers have to wait for the natural process of evaporation & condensation to take place. Is a considerable investment. Having said that, as is often the case with kitchen appliances, you do get what you pay for, and this machine is a true work of art. The problem I have had is with the change in the ingredients in dishwasher detergent! It's not the dishwasher's fault! I bought some plain citric acid, and that has solved the problem of dishes not coming out sparkling clean! Plenty of cycles, including pots and pans and a china setting, which I have used for my knick knacks. Also, a time-delay, which is very handy, as is the Quick Rinse feature. Also has a water-heating setting, and either a heated drying or air drying.
It's plenty big, does a service for eight serving dishes, silverware in a basket. One of which closes (for little things), and a small basket in front for utensils and plenty of top space for glassware and small plates. I got a shiny black front to my dishwasher to match the other kitchen appliances; I find it quite attractive! My dishwasher is quite old; it's 13 and still running just fine. Only one service call, many years ago to unclog a little drain, which the repairman showed me how to check myself. Some of the tines on the baskets are damaged, but it's way too expensive to get new replacements, and it's not that big of a problem. The dishwashers does a load everyday.

The model I have, I bought in 2011. It's been almost flawless in performance. The only issues have occurred when something needed more thorough scrubbing afterwards. My model is an HE one. All stainless steel walls interior. From the top down, there is an attached basket in the back for long or small items. There are two flip down racks attached to the front sides for more small items or long ones. Prong sections in the rack itself can be folded down for odd shaped things. There is a washing arm under the top rack so everything on the top rack gets well cleaned. The top rack adjusts up and down for taller items above or below. The bottom rack has a removable knife rack on the left side. The removable silverware basket, I have it on the right side, is divided into 5 sections with divided lids that can be folded up or down to separate utensils. There are jets on the back wall for the pot scrubbing feature, which can add when choosing cycles.
There's a removable filter basket in the bottom. There are lots of cycles to choose from, all of which I've tried at one time or another and all work well, including a one hour wash, a sanitizing wash, a top rack only wash, etc. The machine is very well insulated so it's super quiet. I can barely hear it running, which I really appreciate, as my bedroom is directly above the kitchen. There's even a delay wash option, so it can run after I go to sleep. The door can be left open at a variety of different angles without it falling down or shutting. This is great for letting it air out, as I don't use the drying cycle. I live in a dry climate so allow the dishes to air dry by opening the door all the way and pulling the racks out. It is a standard sized washer, meaning it fit in the same location as my old unit. However, it is larger inside than my old unit, so I can put taller items inside.
I chose a brushed stainless exterior to match my fridge. This has not been so wonderful though. It shows stains that I can't seem to get out. Something must have spilled on the exterior at one point that etched into the finish. When polished with a stainless steel cleanser, it looks great, but within a day, the stain reappears. The cycles' panel is on the top of the door, so it's almost completely hidden from view when the door is fully closed. There are 3 led lights on the front, just above the handle, though I've only seen two of them lit - red for when it's running and blue when it finished. I've no idea what the middle light color is or what it means.
When I chose this model, I had a choice of handles. I chose a rounded one for hanging towels on and if I bump into it, it doesn't hurt so much. This was an expensive home appliance, being just under $1000 (originally $1400). I got it on clearance when Sears closed out their big home stores. At one point, just four days after the warranty had expired, the washer's computer control panel stopped working. I looked on YouTube and found the fix, which saved me a $90 service call, and took less than 5 minutes to do.
After having read how many others have encountered this same issue, I think the control panels are preset to fail (and most just after the warranty expires), to force people into making an expensive service call, because it takes less than 5 minutes to fix it. And once it's done, it hasn't reoccurred, at least not for me, and it's been over a year now that I fixed it. It would be easy enough to program that error to happen at a specific time, by either the manufacturer or a salesperson with the programming instructions. I always try to repair, or replace, things myself, to save the exorbitant cost repair services charge these days.

Installed Dec 2010, our Kenmore Elite 13939, has had new pump (Nov 2014), and new touch panel & control panel 3 times. Problem as explained by a technician: The machine vents inside itself. The hot, wet air corrodes the electronics. Nothing can be done to correct this design flaw in this model. Now (Feb 2016) we are on the march for a new DW because this one is broken AGAIN. You can bet we will ask, "How is it vented?" before buying a replacement of any kind. Other than that, the machine works nicely. :)

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher came with the house when I bought it, and it was by far the most advanced appliance in my kitchen. It has always worked fine without complaints, has no leaks, and its digital display makes it easy to tell when washing cycles will be completed. I don't use it often nowadays since it's just me in the house now, but it's been a trouble-free part of my kitchen for over a decade.

I have a Kenmore QuietGuard dishwasher from Sears, Roebuck and CO. It's very simple and easy to use. There are three wash cycles to choose from: Light, Normal and Heavy. There is also a wash delay feature that allows you to set the washer to come on at a different time. There are three other option selections like High Temp Wash, High Temp Rinse and Heated Dry. Also there is a quick rinse option for rinsing the dishes off that will be washed later. There are no bells and whistles and lights flashing all over the place. It's just simple, easy to use and in my favorite appliance color - WHITE.

I have had my current dishwasher for over thirty (30) years and honestly have had no major problems with it. The lower basket needs to be replaced since there is probably five to six (5-6) prongs that keep the dishes in place. Due to how old this product is Sears (Kenmore) has difficulty finding a replacement part for the dishwasher. Any suggestions? This the first and only dishwasher I have ever owned. My prior dishwasher were my right hand and my left hand. These as well as my Kenmore run a close first and second. Kenmore is a far better product than ninety-five (95%) of ANY manufactured product on the market today. Keep up the great manufacturing you do Kenmore. HUGE kudos to both Sears and Kenmore.

In the 20 years or so we have had this Kenmore; it came with the house we owned. The Kenmore we used maybe a dozen times over 20 years. In those dozen times the Kenmore worked OK I guess but we prefer to wash our dishes when we dirty them and not wait until we have a dishwasher full of dishes. That being said an unused dishwasher is great for storing bulky items like chips in, so other valuable cabinet space can be used for other things.

Beware. This is the second unit we have had that has blown the main fuse internally for no reason other than poor design and manufacturing. This causes the unit stop working completely. It is an easy repair and upgraded parts are available online but this should not happen at all given the cost of the units. It is such a common problem that forums are inundated with posts about people having this issue. I am not willing to buy one of these overpriced pieces of cheap manufacturing from Sears again. For the same or a little more I can purchase a unit that will work properly in the long run. Our current one lasted only just over a year before failing. Since our last unit failed as well I could repair it myself as the same part fails almost every time. My parents' Kenmore dishwasher has had the same thing happen to it as well. I would recommend that anyone serious about a reliable dishwasher stay far away from the Kenmore brand.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite dishwasher serial number FO2117032 in June 2010. Within the year warranty period, some of the labels on the control panel fell off. Sears replaced the panel at no charge. Then about 3 weeks ago, one of the labels fell off. I called Sears repair and spoke to 2 different representatives and they both told me that I would have to pay $129 for labor and diagnosis and the part would be extra. I told them that since this was the 2nd time that this had happened, it must be a defective part. They told me to call another number to see if there was a recall of that part. My husband called and there was no recall. He also was told we would have to pay for service and the part. I feel this is Sears' responsibility because some of the other labels are loose also. I am an owner of the Kenmore Elite dishwasher that I have bought in 2004 (8 years ago) from Sears Canada (model 666.16462300; SER FR1509082). I've been told that the dishwasher was made by Whirlpool. It has been a good dishwasher aside that the door was noisy. Last night when I turned it on there was a black smoke with smell of burned rubber and flames coming out from the top of the door and one can see sparks behind the buttons as well. I just want owners of the same dishwasher be aware of the potential fire hazard. If we weren’t home when it happened, we could have lost our house. Multiple times I have tried to contact both Sears and Whirlpool to file a complaint and to ensure a follow up, but nobody is interested to come and look at the dishwasher to establish what the issue was unless I'm willing to pay for it. I am irate with Sears. I purchased a Kenmore dishwasher from them in December 2010, and I had my own technician install it. The dishwasher was a total lemon, and started malfunctioning the first week we owned it. After four repairs for the same problem, and eight months of begging, Sears finally agreed to replace it. What is the only catch? Since I chose to use my own installation technician instead of Sears' service, Sears now expects me to pay $150 to install a new dishwasher! So, they sell me a piece of junk, and then expect me to shell out $150 to remedy the situation! This is unreal.
Below is a list of everything disappointing about our Sears experience:
1. Sears didn't agree to replace their product right away. It took four breakdowns, and eight months to get them to get any sort of customer service.
2. Sears never informed me when I bought the dishwasher that by not using the Sears installation service, I would be responsible for the replacement costs, if the product malfunctioned.
3. Their multitude of DISRESPECTFUL sales representatives ranged from sarcastic to condescending and arrogant to blatantly rude.
4. I was informed that I could not speak to anyone higher on the chain of command than a sales representative. I could write to the CEO if I wish.
5. Their sales representatives on many occasions reminded me that, "they were doing me a favor by not charging me a $50 restocking fee" for the replacement dishwasher, since my product replacement was outside of the 90-day window. Ummm, Sears refused to replace the dishwasher within the 90-day window despite the fact that it had broken twice!
6. One sales representative sarcastically offered me a $10 gift card for my "year of trouble".
I am incredibly disappointed in Sears. They used to be my “go to store” for any appliance, automotive, and outdoor need. Unfortunately, they will NEVER see another dime from me.

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher, model no. 665-15953000, was purchased at Sears. It caught fire while in operation while the cooking range and exhaust fan were also in operation. The house is filled with smoke. The cooking range exhaust fan and duct were contaminated with fire extinguisher dry chemical agent and smoke residue. The dishwasher no longer works.
After fire, the removal of dishwasher front cover panel reveals a history of water leakage from steam exhaust vent, in the upper dishwasher door, down toward the electrical wiring that is covered by plastic protective flap installed by manufacturer. And it reveals a history of sound dampening pad the manufacturer adhered to the dishwasher door, disintegrating and falling onto wiring inside of the lower dishwasher door.
