    My mother is 94 years old and is solicited by this company repeatedly. She has the beginning signs of dementia and is easily confused. The mass mail HomeSafe sends out is arguably ethical. The mail states it is an 'IMPORTANT NOTICE', all in large print and then states in bold letters 'HAVE NOT CONTACTED' us....when she has no business relationship with this company. And they end the paragraph by stating 'before it's too late'. All kinds of 'scare tactics' are in this correspondence, which is just downright despicable. 'NO FINANCE CHARGES APPLY TO THIS OFFER', is stated verbatim, again my 94 year old mother has no business relationship with this unethical company.

    Who would do such a thing to the elderly our most precious generation, who need love and compassion and not scare tactics. How do I know this? I am the Power of Attorney for my mother and have cancelled multiple subscriptions for warranty companies. This upsets her so much that she cannot sleep or eat. HomeSafe, what misnomer of a name for a company that send mass mailings to the elderly. Shame on you HomeSafe!

    I've been with HomeSafe for a little over two years, and it's been a good experience. I used to call them when I do my claims. Now, I do it online. And when I do it online, I get a call within 24 hours, which is perfect. Their representatives have been fine. It's been by the book. I had one claim rejected, but they were rightfully so. I did not push back at all. I'm HomeSafe's biggest cheerleader. They let me choose my own contractor. If my contractor is a little too high and they didn't meet the whole claim, I was okay with that. I had an experience where the hourly rate on the bill from the contractor that I chose did not quite agree with what they accustomed to paying but I chose the contractor and, whatever little I absorbed, I absorbed on my own.

    My mother had HomeSafe for the home, so I just continued to policy. When submitting a claim, I call the phone number that's in the book, and then I tell them what the problem is. Then they send somebody out in one or two days. I canceled my policy with HomeSafe though. I didn't have a bad experience with them. They have a good policy. They just didn't cover everything that I wanted covered. They have too many individual policies. I have to have everything in one policy.

    So far, my experience with HomeSafe is good. I've been with them since December of 2025. Different companies were calling and HomeSafe gave me the best price for the monthly payment. The only thing that was a little higher was the service fee. When somebody comes, you have to pay the service fee of 125. I found out about that later, but everything else is good. I would recommend HomeSafe to a friend. They're a good company. So far, they're doing their job.

    I had an issue in my bathroom being stopped up when I wash clothes, and the water would go in the tub. Then when I would flush the toilet, it’d be backed up. HomeSafe was very helpful. I didn’t have a problem with submitting a claim. I told the rep what was going on, and she told me what to do, and I did it, and it came out really good. The people that they sent out was really nice and very helpful. They did what they had to do. I haven't had any problem since they came out. So, I was very pleased with HomeSafe. Overall, the coverage is very good. I pay 50-some dollars a month, so I don't have any problem with it. The price is good. They'll call me if I'm behind. I'll try to get that straightened out. They've got outstanding customer service, too.

    I'm 82 years old and we've got appliances that are getting old and HomeSafe has taken care of them. Right now, we're waiting on a guy to call to fix the broiler in our oven. Usually, a contractor is dispersed out in two or three days. They've been excellent. They've taken care of everything. My most recent repair issue was on an air conditioner. It was handled great. I paid $65 and they fixed it. It probably would have cost $1,200 to $1,300 to get it fixed if I had to pay for it myself. Having HomeSafe has been very beneficial. Their response could be quicker but they've covered everything that I've called about.

    I was happy with CarShield as they saved me about $4,800 on the transmission. Since HomeSafe is the offshoot of that company, I thought they would be good, too. I've been with them for eight months now and so far, I would recommend either company. HomeSafe's price is fair at less than $100 a month and when I used them recently, they handled my claim expeditiously. They understood that I actually saved them money.

    I had a garage door electric problem and I reached out to them by phone. They said they would open a ticket and told me to get an estimate. When the serviceman came out to do the estimate, he said he could save me money if he could just go ahead and fix it right then and there. I told him okay and that was what I did. Then, I told HomeSafe that, submitted the bill to them online, and they happily paid the bill. I got the check within a week and I was very happy. I'm sure they were happy as well because we ended up getting one service call instead of two. So it saved them a $150 service call.

    I have a deluxe home service contract with HomeSafe. I explained to them what I needed and they were very helpful towards me and helped me decide on what to do. They recommended a company and a technician came out. He was good. But he insisted on me paying him my service call. When I talked to the lady at HomeSafe the next day, they reimbursed me back my money because they were supposed to pay the technician and the technician wasn't supposed to do that.

    My husband passed away and I have nobody to do the things that need to be done. I signed up with HomeSafe and so far, I've submitted one claim. It took me two times to get to somebody who would help me and when finally did, I was sent somebody for a plumbing issue that showed up in just a pickup truck. Prior to the visit, I was informed thru an email of his name. I wouldn't ask for him again as he was kind of shady. He told me not to send pictures to HomeSafe and to send them straight to the person that they were going to send out to do whatever job was that I needed to get done because could deny it if the picture wasn't taken right.

    The claim was for the shower head in the guest bathroom. We were changing it out and the pipe went back into the wall. Originally, he was told that he would have to tear out all of the old tile. This house was built in the '60s and the bathroom in the guest bathroom is pink tile with ugly gold trim from the '60s. I'd love to have it gone away. But he did not have to tear it out. He went through the closet in the guest bathroom because he could just do a little hole. He cut out a little hole in the sheetrock in the guest closet and fixed it that way, then he patched the hole back up.

    All in all, if I have to call HomeSafe again for something and I have the same type of experience that I had the first time, I would stop others from going with HomeSafe in a heartbeat. I'd go back to American Warranty which was who we had when my husband was alive. Also, I'm on a fixed income and, right now, HomeSafe's price doesn't hurt me. But if they went up, I'd have to stop.

    HomeSafe is great. One of my coworkers recommended them, and I've been using them ever since. I just put in a claim and they paid us. I have no problem with them. They were unable to fix my stove, but they were able to pay the claim out. So, I can go ahead and look at another stove. The best part about it is they were able to use a direct deposit. I definitely will refer them. They worked pretty quickly once they got everything together. They're very knowledgeable.     Submitting a claim to HomeSafe is fast, easy, and thorough. The overall claim process is easy. I liked it better when I paid the service people for the service call. I normally just call. The quality of the service people is 50/50. I had two good experiences, and I've had two bad experiences with the contractors. One of the contractor didn't do anything. I'm having the same problem with another contractor. I don't know if they fixed it properly the last time. The good thing would be they took good care of the microwave. The washer and dryer was also very quick and easy.

    I talked to a HomeSafe rep, Ben, and he was talking about everything that they all can do as far as my appliance. I was livid. I told myself, "It sounds too good to be true." He said, "It's not, and it's a guarantee." For 49.99, that's not bad for each month for all the appliances that they all have me covered with. I want nothing to happen to my appliances.

    I told him I had insurance with Sears, but Sears didn't offer that much as they do with the amount of money that I have to pay for all these appliances or whatever it's going with, like the tub. He also told me that I have to pay for them to come out and check, and that I'll pay 150. It sounded like he was for real. I said, "Okay, I'll try it." He said to make sure I cancel the other one before I start with them, which I did. Their reps explained well. Every question that I had, they explained in detail. They were also very polite and patient.

    I was starting to have problems with my washer, my dryer, my dishwasher and decided I needed to get some help instead of paying every other full charge for that. We went with Homesafe. We ended up replacing my dishwasher. They gave me $30 and said, "Go buy it yourself. We won't replace it at all." I've had two charges within the last month, on a clothes washer that has developed a leak. They came out and charged me $75 for a service charge.

    The repairman taped a little hose to the side of the washer because it kept flooding. And that lasted for about three weeks and it did the same thing again. He came out once more, taped that same hose to the side of the washer, and it continued flooding. I called them, and I told them, "Don't send this guy out." They said, "Let us see who else we can find." I said, "Forget it."

    I have not canceled that yet, but I need to cancel that policy because they suck. They do absolutely nothing and I've ended up buying a new washer and a new dryer. This cost me $1,200, and it's cost me about 20 hours of dry-up time from the two floods I've had. The first flood cost me $5,000 in new carpet and all, which they paid absolutely nothing for. I would probably not get a home warranty. It's a rip-off. You pay so much a month for it, and it's continually costly. I've gotten absolutely no satisfaction at all from them.

    I’ve been with HomeSafe for three years now. Submitting a claim was a little bit difficult, at first. But when I got it down for the phone numbers and did it online, it wasn't that hard. My most recent claim I did strictly online. It took them three days for the techs to come out and the techs did a very good job.     I got a policy for our outdoor water lines with HomeServe, which has been excellent. Then, when I saw the HomeSafe name, I associated the two. I figured that HomeSafe had to be equally good, and they turned out to be. I’ve been a customer for five years and I’ve made several claims. I usually try online, but it’s not as good as talking to a person. It works better to give them a call. Dealing with the reps is great, and they usually get the tech out within a day.

    The only time I had trouble getting someone to come out was when my refrigerator broke down, and I had to wait a few days. The person we had been using, and whom I had called before, had been closed for a couple of days. But he came right away and was very nice. He explained that his mother-in-law had passed away and his father-in-law wasn’t in a good position to be making decisions, so he was going to call him to see what he suggested. It was a closed system and HomeSafe ended up sending me a check for the refrigerator because they couldn't find one for the limit amount that was set in the policy. I added a few hundred dollars to it and found something. It was better than having to buy a whole new refrigerator all by myself.

    We've had a few claims with HomeSafe and every tech we've had was very good. Recently, the dishwasher was washing the dishes but they came out still wet. So a tech came out and looked at it. He had to order a part but when he came back, it didn't take him very long to fix it. Before that, he'd been there for two other items and for those claims, he had the part right away. Other than that, I would recommend HomeSafe. Their claims process is simple. You make a phone call, then they put you in touch with a repair person. By the time they come out, there's a deductible and that's fine. What I like best about them is the customer care people on the phone who are very eager to help. They apologize for the problem and take care of it. Also, I've never had to call more than once on one problem.

    Everybody at HomeSafe is nice and courteous. The customer service has been excellent in the three years I’ve been with them. I’m a phone person and submitting a claim is very easy. I just call them and tell them what the problem is, and they will get you help right away and let you know. Within the next few minutes, they will get somebody on the line, or somebody will be calling me in the next hour or two.

    HomeSafe's claims process is pretty easy. I've been a member for two years and I would recommend them to my friends. But they don't have technicians in Maine When I had a claim, I called them up and told them what I needed. They said they didn't have anybody in the Bangor area that did that, so I told them I could find one. I have a home contractor here called One Stop Home Repair. We've used them several times with HomeSafe and they've been pretty good.

    I had CarShield for my car. As they're related, HomeSafe called me and said that that could get my appliances covered as well. I signed up and have had them for a couple of years now. Over the years, I've had an oven, a washer and a dryer replaced. However, I had a problem with them that I was about to cancel my contract with them last year. I needed to get the refrigerator replaced but they wouldn't reimburse me anything. I even went to P.C. Richard and got the original receipt they still had 10 years ago. I got the original receipt, but it didn't have the serial number on it. It had the model number but according to the claims person that I spoke to time and time again, they needed the serial number. He didn't want to hear anything. But except for that one experience, everything has been very good. HomeSafe has been very helpful and very much on the money.

    Homesafe called me and I gave them a chance, but I was disappointed their customer service. I made a claim and didn't hear a response back. I already have a home warranty provider, so I was seeing which one was better. On the other service that I have, I make a claim on the app and get a response within an hour. With Homesafe, they said somebody called me, but I didn't get an email or anything like that. I thought, “You know what? I don't want to really deal with that.” I discontinued Homesafe last week, so I no longer have it.

    My house was paid for, so I need to put some warranty on the stuff that I have in it. HomeSafe gave me the best, price-wise. I've talked to several company, but they were the cheapest and it was reasonable, so I took it. I do have a lot of competitors still trying to beat this quote, but I'm not one to just keep switching over. As far as claims, I would call the company and they would set it up. I would report everything, and they will give me a claim number. When they send someone over, I would pay the person who's doing the job. I would pay them my deductible. The claim process is easy. They would let me know who's coming, and it's supposed to be licensed in that area. I've had two claims so far.

    The latest claim that I had was with my heating and air unit. I had my own company. I had two people to come out. The first company that I had to come out was the one that was doing my heating and air unit on a contract. They come twice a year. Once I got an estimate from them, then I had got a second opinion from another company. During that time, I had got my own company to come out, and they sent the claim to the warranty company. Everything went well so I'm pleased with the way it is.
