We needed to replace 6 windows of a home in Alexandria, built in 1956. I had interviewed 5-6 companies and the last was Liberty Home Remodeling and they were the most impressive. Windows had to be measured and manufactured since they were not standard. Everything went smoothly and I was kept up to date. Good company staffed good people and the windows look good too. Quite a few neighbors have complimented has well!

We had our kitchen remodeled by Minks Construction and are very happy with the results! We found Carl to be a very experienced (35 years), insightful person who was committed to doing the best possible job for us. Carl demonstrated personal integrity. There were no surprises regarding costs. Carl was forthright about what our options were. I recommend Minks Construction to anyone who wants a quality outcome to a remodeling project in their home!

I have an electrical job so I logged into HomeAdvisor.com which is powered by Angi. Was never a fan of Angi not quite sure why and HomeAdvisor is a free service. I received a lot of bids for the job scheduling for total 5 the week, which was good. I really dislike the first company. I won’t mention their FG name. The technician comes in. He looks at the box outside. Wants to come in inside and see the condition of my circuit breaker panel. "I need to replace it because you might get an inspector who will make you make you change it." Said, "OK. Take a look at the estimate."

I thought they would send me a bid but he shoves an iPad in my face. Has a supervisor on the phone and says, "This one time offer you’ll lose, you need to sign today. It’s $13,000 for the whole job. That sounds like way too much how much, and for what I asked that’s $4500 but the inspector may tell you it needs to be changed so let’s permit everything peace of mind estimate. Here’s the financing. What do you wanna do?" I said, "I’m not gonna decide. Send me the bid," chased them out. So I tried think how can I find the truth. County permits. I called. They transfer me directly to the supervisor and after talking with him, he told me to get a little Electrician. "Inspector may or may not come in the house. The permits were outside and we can never tell you you need to do this because you’re grandfathered in." So they lied. Intimidation and hard sales tactics just to get me signed because they thought I was too stupid notice.

So I had another estimate from another Angie’s List. It was so inexpensive I thought it was a scam until I found his Facebook account very legitimate, family owned. Charles Electric, Leesburg. I high recommend if you want to save maybe 60+ %. My point is we complain about inflation. Unless we stop, shop the best price. These big companies take advantage because they think we’re stupid and they can do it. If we want to change inflation do some legwork, understand what that job entails and stop being one of those people that have the money don’t care, because they’re getting quality. I know I’m politicalish, but wanna make a difference. Stop paying these ridiculous prices.

Your Garage Floor installed an epoxy coating to my garage floor in March of 2019. Last year the clear coat coating over the chip layer started coming up and delaminating. Your Garage Floor advertises on their website that they give their customers a lifetime guarantee. They have refused to honor that guarantee for their work they did for me. This business is not BBB accredited, but there are several other businesses that perform the same service that are. I would not recommend doing business with this company. They don't do what they say they will do and it is very hard to contact them, unless you want them to install an epoxy floor, then they will respond right away. But any service work, no.

These folks are one of the worst lead sources out there. They are dishonest and do not hesitate to rip off their customers. Home Advisor was widely known as a horrible company and now Angi is just as bad. They sell a LOT of leads that are not in your service categories. They blame the homeowners saying that they choose the wrong category. They are so far behind all the other lead providers they don't even know how to integrate with CRMs. They truly specialize in work for handymen and "Dan & A Van" kind of companies. They completely lie about their credit policy for bad leads (Work that you do NOT do and made clear to them that you do NOT do). We spent thousands and can't get our money back. I have to call them every day to try to get credits for the bad leads that they deny anyway. Absolute crooks with no ethics at all.

On 5/7/24, Went to a handyman job through Angi Services set up through HomeAdvisor for some carpentry repairs. Worked for 3 hours, the entire length of the appointment, though job was not complete. Went to arrange an additional appointment with the customer and to collect reimbursement for materials. Customer claims he was told the price for the repair was fixed and materials were included in it.

Angi doesn't work this way. The appointments are based off of time and the materials are literally never included in the quote. There is very specific language regarding the contractor not being required to work outside the original appointment length without compensation; and there literally isn't an option for customers to choose regarding not paying for their own materials, with this job specifically listed as the customer would be providing their own materials.

The job was sold for $300, I was supposed to be paid $108 for 3 hours of work, and the materials were approximately $200. Angi removed payment for the job from my account citing a customer cancellation. Without getting into how confusing I find the idea that something could somehow be cancelled after it already took place, even in the event of a customer cancellation, I am still supposed to be entitled to some payment. I have thus far not been paid for the work or compensated for any material cost.

The real lead they send you is also sent to fifty more contractors, who end up annoying the client so much that he stupidly stops answering phone calls and messages. At the same time, all contractors have to pay for the lead.

I had requested quotes for my job, and then at the same time, submitted in the online system a request to have the job done. I ended up working with someone who was local to me, and gave an excellent quote. Then I had to cancel the online system request. Hopefully I did that right!! But my job is done beautifully, professionally, and in my price range.

My husband and I were starting a cleaning business. We got a call from Angi service, as Home Advisor services. The guy called us to offer us leads, promised that we're going to start making money by Monday, we went and bought supplies, and we were so thrilled about ideas that sound too good to be true. Oh boy, from the beginning it was a nightmare. We kept getting leads, we got ready to go, my husband drove 15 miles a day, we stated we will get whatever even if we have to drive a little far, The first customer told my husband she canceled the service 2 years ago and that was last year 2022. We couldn't understand, it was a fake lead to get us excited. So the next one was a fake lead again.

We received many other phone calls, some we answer, no customers pickup, just like the first 3, we then refused to make drive by. We even tried a last one that was closed enough, drove there, the person told my husband not to come back on his property. He does not have business with Home Advisor. Every call we received from then were fake. They start charging us fees, that we have not dealt with. So since the guy promised us our deposit money back guaranteed, we were pretty upset by then. We decided to call them so they could stop sending us fake services and requested for our money back with acct to be close. My husband told them to cancel, we do not want to do business with them at all. Do you know what?

After sending us our money back they continue to charge us for leads that we don't even accept. About 15-20 calls a day, we got to a point, we wanted to changed phone numbers. We spoke to the manager, he kept asking us to continue, he apologized, we said, NO. Got our money back and we moved on. We then PUT everything aside, continue with our daily 9-5 jobs. They still charged us even though we cancel. They took about 600.00 from our bank. We called, they apologize and tried to forced us to accept free leads, we said "NO".

My husband went to the bank, and showed the bank the refund receipt, it was supposed to be a closed account from home advisor. So we disputed it, got our money back, then the bank closed the card. WE DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. WE WERE CLEAR. So we continue to ignore them. Last month we received a collection letter under OUR small cleaning business we are trying to build, not even 1 customer from them, they want to SUE US according the letter. They are fake!!!

We need angi and home advisor, whoever you are, to please take my business off your list. We do not owe them a dime. We never do business with you, we were very upset, because they kept on calling us nonstop after our refund, but phone calls kept coming. We called and pleaded them to stop. We do not owe them money. We never work with you, not even one deal was legit. We desperately need help from a law firm. We are desperate. We reported them to Bbb. They claimed to reduce the payment that we owe to 500.00. We do not owe Angilist, Angie, home advisor. This is my complaint

    Please help!!!

"We followed up with Sandrina and Junior regarding their account, the adjustments made, a partial refund given, and pausing the request for a month. They agreed to stay in the Angi network. Due to non-payment, he did incur a balance owed to the account. We present a fair adjustment to the balance to resolve their complaint. The offer is available at any time if he chooses to accept the offer in the future. We consider the matter closed"."

The majority of people never answer their phone. I’ve have 20 leads, $1400 value and have landed 1 job. Most customers don’t even know why I’m contacting them when I try to call. Go ahead and do yourself a favor and put yourself through their lead input as a fake lead…. And see how they use a click funnel and then send you the lead right after.
