Ordered several windows and doors for a remodel project. The windows were delivered with broken panes as well as the garage door. It has taken 3 months to get all this corrected and today the last window arrived!!! And you guessed it. Both screens were ripped and had holes from shipping. Never again will I ever walk into another Home Depot store!!!

I paid for a front door to be measured on 2/2/2025 with Home Depot. They were scheduled to come measure on 2/13/2025 at 0800. No one showed. I called Home depot, they said Harrison was scheduled to come measure my Security door. I told them how complicated is it to measure a front door, I was told they put me down for a Security door. Since it was put down wrong that the measurer would not be coming out. He showed up at 0930 and measured my screen door. After reading the reviews and the problems I have had so far this company seems to incompetent to install a FRONT door. I even went in person to Home Depot. At this point I am even considering to cancel my Home Depot account.

I would not recommend HD Windows. For anyone looking for window replacements in Florida, we have many options, and I agree, prices vary by $100,000, with Anderson being the most expensive. Home Depot was not the cheapest, but not the highest, and seemed like a great choice with PGT windows. After spending $70,000 in August (HD requires you to pay up front), we are still waiting for the job to be complete in March. PGT and HD continue to blame each other for wrong parts, missing parts, etc. The portion of the job that was completed failed inspection and had to be redone.
The contractors hired have not been the issue; it's the missing parts, wrong items ordered, and even some items we paid for but were not even ordered until the day of job they realized were not here. So here I sit, another day having to work from home with hammering and dust all around because all the window work orders are completed during the week, and someone must be present.

The order process and payment along with the first measurements went well. However about 2 weeks after first measurements were taken I got a call about needing to remove trim to check if there was enough clearance on the top side of door. The guy who came back to measure said Jeldwin doors are taller than everyone else in the industry. I ordered a Jeldwin door so this needed to be found out. Well, I removed the trim and found about 5/8 clearance and relayed that info but was told it still needed measurements anyway one month after pay for the door installation it was measured the 2nd time. No, we are going on 7 weeks that they have had my money and still no door installation.

Shar was working the Customer Service desk at the Home Depot in Arnold, MO this morning. Good thing for me! My wife and I had gone there to pick up a glass shower door which we had purchased online. It must weigh 150 pounds. When they brought it out from the store room, the shipping box had significant damage, and Shar suggested that we inspect the product before we took it home. It turned out that the shower door was okay. Then Shar not only called for assistance to help us load the door on our truck, she also let us use a roll of tape to re-seal the box while she went looking for an appropriate dolly to transport the item.
Finally, I was so concerned about the possibility of damage to the shower door that I had forgotten about another item I had purchased. But Shar remembered, and brought the item to me while we were loading the shower door. Here's the best part... Shar was not the employee who had waited on us when we came to pick up the door. She saw that there was a problem and came forward on her own initiative to help. Thanks, Shar!

Ordered a door we liked from Home Depot, when the installer came out to install it he said that it wasn't right and wouldn't fit. Home Depot said that they shouldn't have ordered the door as the company doesn't make one that would fix our opening. Ordered a different door that was eventually (about a year after starting the whole process) installed. The installers didn't put any kind of insulation around the door, so it was a bit drafty until I added it. The door also is susceptible to the temperature, when it's very sunny out it sags so the screen door doesn't close all the way. Overall the process took a very long time (more than one year from start to finish) and we were left with a door that is quite a bit of a disappointment. Quality is lacking and installation was quite a bit less than I was expecting.

On May 25, 2023 we had new windows installed by Home Depot. Last winter it wasn't that cold, so we never noticed. This year with temps dropping lower at night. We discovered their windows are horrible. It's freezing in the house all the time, and the glass is so thin you can hear every single noise that's going on outside. Please think twice about using Home Depot for any kind of windows. They are very cheaply made. Thousands of dollars wasted. We have contacted Home Depot.

We chose Home Depot to install all new Milgard windows, French doors and a slider. While the initial purchase and scheduling went well, once Home Depot received my payment, they stopped providing any semblance of customer service. One of the windows installed was the incorrect window. I was assured it would be replaced as soon as possible. It has been 3 months and is not yet replaced. Three of my windows had major scratches upon installation. I agreed to live with one, but asked for the other two to be replaced, as they are very large scratches in very visible areas. I am still waiting on installation, even though I was assured by the installer that the windows were in a month ago.
My French doors do not operate properly. They were installed incorrectly, so the locking latches rub against the frame, making opening and closing difficult. My children are actually incapable of opening them because of the amount of force required. I am certain that is a fire hazard. I have been asking for it to be fixed for 3 months. The installer tells me it’s Milgard’s problem.
My slider was installed without a latch for the screen door. I was assured it would be installed shortly. The first time I went to open the slider after the installer left, it was impossible to open. Apparently, broken wheels are a known problem on this slider. It’s been 3 months and Home Depot has not been out to fix it. The installer has indicated I need to go through the scheduler. The scheduler has not returned a phone call or email since my original installation 3 months ago. I have never been so disappointed in a company as I am in Home Depot. PLEASE save yourself the trouble and go through someone else!

I would not recommend Home Depot for window install. I order 8 windows spent over 16,000. The large window would not close. After further review the Home Depot installer decided to reorder the right window. Still won’t close. Noticed the window frame was not installed evenly. I have called numerous times with no call back. Very frustrating that the customer had to keep calling for updates. In the meantime their air coming through my window. Now I’m told they’ll order a new window. At this point I think I’m getting the run around. By the way. I also have 3 screens with gaps. So I can’t open the window unless I want bugs to come inside the house. Home Depot installer have replaced the screens with the same results. After 2 weeks of now response they tell me they’ll order 3 more screens. Never have they come out to remeasure the screens first before reordering another screen. It’s plain to me that the default screen doesn’t work.

Back Screen Door. My first measurement was on May 30, 2024.. It is now Sept. 13, 2024 and my door is still not completed. After the 1st. installation, it was a terrible job and the door was damaged… After NUMEROUS phone calls, excuses, and phone calls not being returned, finally another installer came, did not have all the parts, left, came back did not finish the job said, he’ll be back the next day, came for 45 minutes, said he’ll be back he had to get another piece of something. A week later he has not been back yet. Been calling everyday with no luck… Door still not done 31/2 months later.

The home consultant (Brian **) that was sent out before starting the job showed how the windows would not absorb heat, he demonstrated this by having a heat gun on one side of the miniature demonstration window and having no heat penetrating through the other side. I'm not sure what magic trick he did to accomplish this but once we had our windows installed, it felt like any sunlight against the windows only MAGNIFIED THE HEAT. The heat penetrating through our new windows is way worse than our 50 year old original windows...
The installers that were sent out are the only reason for the any star rating. They accomplished their work as they said they would but we were not happy about them not using insulation foam around the windows. So that doesn't help with the heat penetrating through and around the windows. There were 3 windows that had manufacturer defects so they explained that these would have to reordered and reinstalled as soon as possible. A month and a half later they called and said 2 of the windows could be repaired but the third had another problem and they again would have to reorder.
So 2 of the 3 have been installed and as far as the third one, they have quit communicating all together. There is no one that has been able to help me figure out what is going on with this last window that still needs to be repaired. It has been several months and we are constantly reaching out to them and they will not respond. At this point I do not want to deal with them. I would just like to be refunded or compensated for the lack of communication that this company has.

I would not recommend Home Depot for Window replacement. The install crew did a good job but they did leave a bit of a mess to be cleaned up. There was damage to our walls and window sills. The biggest problem was the replacement of a defective window. There was absolutely no communication....we always had to initiate the communications. We heard every excuse you could imagine and it was 6 months later before we got the window replaced.

I had Home Depot install 6 windows 2 years ago. After 13 months one was leaking whenever a heavy rain came. When I called, I was told installation is guaranteed for 1 year (ridiculous). They said they would send a one time courtesy repair. A man came with a caulk gin and no ladder, and put caulk above the leaky second floor window from inside the house. Needless to say this did nothing. Found a puddle last night after a thunderstorm. Never again Home Depot. You just lost a $45,000 kitchen remodel.

After previous outrageous quotes for the exact same brand of windows, I decided to try Home Depot based on cost and was sold on how they would support me. In February, 2 different people came over to measure, doing it twice as part of their quality assurance before ordering the replacement windows. The windows were ordered in February, installation was March. I scheduled a day off work from my new job for the installation. The installer arrived, measured again & said the order was missing a kit. Home Depot called me up apologizing and placing another order. After weeks of trying to reschedule they reluctantly agreed to install on weekend as I could not afford to another day off of my new job. 2nd scheduled installation was mid-May, the installer drove 3 hrs only to find out the glass ordered was too big. The installer called the Home Depot rep who came over to explain and OFFERED me compensation to offset having to take time off.
When I asked what would that compensation they said after everything is installed. The offer to compensate came from Home Depot manger and their scheduler. The 3rd time in mid June the windows were finally replaced on a Saturday. After the inspection I anticipated a follow up call from Home Depot.... it's been 4 weeks now. Ghosted! No follow up satisfaction survey, no call from any rep. They have never completed my order on their system so I am not even able to leave feedback on their installation site. The product is good, the installer is a 3rd party and he did a nice job. I cannot recommend Home Depot installation services.

I have a standard size door and it should have been a red flag when they would not let me order the door that had good reviews on their website. They said they had a door that looked exactly like it that they would sell me but it wasn’t listed on their website and the guy wouldn’t give me the manufacturer name when I asked so I could google it. The company they are using is feather river. Look up their Yelp and google reviews and you will see 1.5 stars! They hid this information from me until it was installed. I ordered the door in March. The 1st door came in damaged and they rescheduled the door installation a couple more time before finally installing the door in June.
Right after they installed the door I noticed it wasn’t latching and had to be slammed shut. The top of the door protrudes inward 1/2” and when I took a level to it I realized the door is warped. I called Home Depot the next day and they said the installers would stop by tomorrow. They never showed up so I called again and the door manager was out sick. When I’m finally able to talk to the store manager she promises she will call me back in 10 mins. That never happened and I’m still trying to get this issue fixed. The store keeps sends me to an answering machine every time I call

We purchased windows from Home Depot over a year ago in Fort Myers fl. We waited 4 months to get installed. When the installer showed up he said 1 window was wrong. It was opaque for the bedroom but was supposed to be clear. He installed it and said he was ordering the correct one. He said it would take a while as they are behind but would contact us when it comes in. We have been waiting 8 months. We called our home depot sales rep. He said to call warehouse. We left them 3 messages, no return call. Called sales rep Bruce ** back. He Said call install manager. We have left 3 messages. No return call. Now we are looking for someone higher up to contact.

In early December of 2023 we paid $4267 for windowless front double doors installed by Home Depot. Today is April 8, 2024 and we are still attempting to get the shoddy trim work completed. We already paid an outside company & got reimbursed by Home Depot for their cutting wires & sealing up our security system wiring. We also had to hire an outside contractor to fix the torn up concrete. We got reimbursed by Home Depot. Currently, we are trying to get them to approve us hiring a contractor to correct the shoddy trim job for $150. Still waiting for Home Depot to approve this. Four months now & counting. Never again!

I contracted with Home Depot to purchase and install 20 windows. Installation was scheduled for November 2023. During the installation, they did a rush job, did not install several of the windows properly (one fell out), they damaged one window and they damaged the trims in cills on half the windows. They even tried to fix some trims with caulk! Despite this terrible job and a missing window, they demanded payment and harassed me every day for 2 weeks (even though I had paid 75%+ of the window installation). After 2 months of arguing, they agreed to repair the damage they caused. When they came to finish the repairs, they called me to schedule the first repair but just showed up on the second repair. Then they proceeded to harass me for 3 days straight (11 calls + emails) while I had to wait for my bank to process the payment. The Home Depot was absolutely horrid.

I was warned not to utilize Home Depot for my front and rear door purchase and installation and I wish I had listened. Firstly, for a door install, you must use a measure done by a Home Depot representative, which I did. The first order I received was damaged, and according to Home Depot's contactor, the doors were "short." I canceled the order and reordered the doors from a different store using Home Depot's measurement as required.
The second order came and the new door measurements were off as well. However, this time the Home Depot contractor didn't let me know. Instead, they filled the excess width with sealant; they tried to extend the transom using sealant; neither door was caulked, the rear door is missing 3 screws; spackle was used on the exterior of the rear wooden door, the rear door is not even sealed, and cheap, 3- inch pieces of brown plastic were used to fill the gap between the floor and the door -- my doors are white and my flooring is gray. The doors look horrible! I sent pictures to Home Depot and asked for a refund because the front door needs to be replaced and the rear door needs to be repaired. A Home Depot representative came out and took pictures of deficiencies that I had missed.
Long story short, Home Depot basically told me to kick rocks because 1. I got what I ordered. But, I didn't order the doors because I am not a door installer, Home Depot measured the doors, ordered the doors & supplies, and hired the contractor. 2. I wouldn't allow the contractor who ruined the doors in the first place, to fix the damage they had purposely caused. I liken this to allowing someone who spit in my food, to prepare my dinner! The only way to recoup my loss is by suing, which would cost more time, money, and stress than it is worth. Consider yourselves warned.

Ordered two doors from Home Depot to be delivered to my house. The first door was schedule, I'm sitting in my house waiting and get an email that the delivery was missed. Did see a truck go by the house; apparently that was them. Never stopped, knocked on the door or called ahead or anything. Had to reschedule. Door was delivered. Did not call ahead or knock on door to let me know they were there this time either. I happen to hear them outside.
Second door: They gave me a delivery date. That date came and went. Called to check and they said they would email me a new delivery date in 24 hours. Never received that date. Called again and was told I would get my door in a few days. I get 2 automated phone calls about a "delivery" that was going to happen. That automated call did not mention "Home Depot" at all. It did give me an order number which was not my order number for this door. I think it's a scam call and ignore. At 8 pm on a Friday night I hear something in my driveway. Go to look and it's the delivery of my door. No knock on the door or anything. (what is up with that?) Take the packaging off my door the next day and the door is damaged. Received a measly 15% off the door. Take it from me folks STICK WITH LOWES or literally anyone else if you need something delivered!

The whole process dealing with Home Depot was very dissatisfying. From constant appointment changes, to sending a window installer for a door installation and the doors being too small! Does Home Depot not realize or care people work and when the measurement team, installers come, people need to take off work? When the door installation finally happened, the doors were too small along with the framing. Home Depot blames the manufacturer. If that is true, why doesn't Home Depot have some type of quality control to prevent this from happening. This lead me to take yet another day off for a second installation to occur, not to mention the other prior times.
I then was expecting some sort of a discount for all the trouble. I contact the design consultant and she forwards my email to the individual who can grant a discount and make things right. I was told we needed to wait until the project was done. Once the the project was completed, I contact both of them to discuss a discount or some sort of compensation. The cherry on the top is they both go silent and I get no response. Due to all the issues, I will never use Home Depot again or even shop in their stores. All they care about is their money and not the customer. It's very disappointing that Home Depot will allow all these issues from cancelled appointments to the doors not even being the right size! Very embarrassing for such a large company!

Home Depot sold me a very expensive custom 10ft wide window and install. It was and continues to be a nightmare. The caused a catastrophic leak that is damaging my home office below the 2nd floor Guest suite and still is leaking!!! They claim they are not responsible for leaks!! That statement alone is disturbing and they have caused over $10,000 of damages and refuse to fix the damages and worse will not try to stop the leak except to squirt tube after tube of silicone sealant everywhere....they have even stopped doing that. Anyone that wants to see this unprofessional job and the tubes of silicone caulk and continued damages and you are near Melbourne Florida or Vero Beach come on over. It is basically unbelievable.

I am being charged before windows were installed, installation poor for Home Depot advertised as professions. Windows not the best made. Windows were not well made and installed. Another crew sent to fix bad installation by first installers. Some part of certain windows not well made to be fixed by another crew. A window installed vinyl broken a bubble in a window and a window with a creak lock on several windows poorly installed and loose and no screw and air blowing in windows shaft where windows let up and down walls and windows seal were damaged. Home Depot started billing me for windows before they were even delivered or installed although I was told no payment or billing until windows were installed and I approved windows and installation.
Windows were purchased in September 2023 and I am still dealing with windows being installed better and two windows glass has to be replaced. Poor installation will cost me more money to repair damage done to windows seals and internal wall damaged while windows were installed. To summarize just poor craftsmanship and installation for what I am being charged for especially since Home Depot advertises professional bonded and insured installers. Highly disappointed. Will not recommend.

Ordered 29 NEW ANDERSEN 100 Windows beginning of Aug 2023 to be installed. Were told it would take 12-16 weeks. After the run around of them not being able to do a complete install (synthetic stucco), they gave me a name of an UN-Licensed contractor to finish the job so that the order would not be cancelled on our part after they had already collected over $10K from us. FOUR months later we receive a call (expecting them to tell us our windows were in), stating they won't be able to provide our replacement windows! They have held onto our money for 4 months with no communication and NOT refunded us by CHECK, since our CC has since been paid off. We have requested they also now pay us interest on the money they have held onto all this time and for the complete nightmare it has created for us to start this process all over with another company.
Our windows needed to be installed by end of year to be able to have our painting contractor completely repaint our home. Home Depot has completely destroyed that while we will have to live with drafty windows for at least ANOTHER 3-4 months! They stuck their stickers on all our window frames when they specifically state NOT TO and after calling their department regarding this issue, we still have not heard one word back from them about the removal of those nor our refund. I purchased an exterior door and tried several times with me refusing the door on their last attempt. There had been several issues with Home Depot starting with a tile installation. The quality for the tile installation was poor workmanship and sent the same inexperience installer which made a bigger mess. I had file a complaint where they tried to offer me money and get another company to install. I told them that they were paid for a quality job and I expect that. I would not take the time to find more tile along with someone else to correct their mess. After month the Executive Office decided to have an experience installer to remove the tile and redo the installation. It is still a bad tile installation but would not allow them to further mess up my home.
I had to file another complaint regarding the exterior door. I had surgery scheduled and tried to have door install before the surgery. The Executive Office several tactics to make me keep the door. After executive office refunded my credit card, I assumed that was the end of it. On 12/04/2023, The trucking company brought the door back to deliver and I explained my credit card had been credited to my card. Executive Office tried to manipulate me into accepting the door and they withdraw the refund. The driver called dispatch that told him to deliver the door anyway. I told the driver if Home Depot was giving me the door I’ll accept. He gave me vague answers so now the trucking company tried manipulating me.
I called the Executive Office to ask why were they delivering the door again. Due to the issues with the dishonesty from the Executive Office, I started recording our conversation. The rep told me if I had need for I could keep it so I asked for something in writing. She said she was sending while the truck driver was here but she tried stalling. I gave the phone to the truck driver then she said since they had not fully unloaded the driver would take it back. I asked her, "So what you told me was changed." Home Depot will not honor what they said.
