The blender started out just fine, then the motor started making this loud noise, & with metal shaving, coming from the bottom of the pitcher. Also the blades in the pitcher are loose & it leaks. I would like to have a new blender or a refund.

Health Master Elite - I'm soooo hurt. I used my blender twice and all of a sudden I threw a Halloween party and tried to use it then boom!! No action. So embarrassing. I was proud to hand these guys $250. I thought I was paying for quality but instead I got $250 taken away from me. Not cool at all. People work hard for their money and we deserve nice things. You knew the value of this blender was nothing so why on earth would you put it out there for us to purchase. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I brag so much on this blender when I got it. I even recommended it to a few family and friends. I'm actually afraid to call and ask if theirs still working. I need to be reimbursed or send me a better blender. It's not fair. Please, please, please replace my blender. Please. :(

Like other people I thought I could trust Montel Williams and was buying a high quality blender. Used it a few times and then it stopped working. This company stole $200 from me. Don't waste your money on this blender.

I bought this blender 2013. Today my wife was making a water melon juice today and the machine started smoking and stopped working completely. It shut down the electricity in the kitchen. I called customers service soon after that and spoke to Felicia who eventually transfers me to another department and then spoke to Brian who explained to me that this machine THE HEALTHMASTER FROM MONTEL had been discontinued already but they will replace it with another unit that have the same lifetime warranty on the motor and same power as the HealthMaster. He also told me that I should be getting an email on next 24 to 48 hours with a confirmation and a tracking number. The unit should arrive in seven to ten days. I cannot wait to see my new unit.

I purchased the Healthmaster 6 six years ago and I had a wonderful time making smoothies in it. It has some flaws which needs to be corrected but it's a great product. For one, there needs to be some material at bottom of the pitcher that can stay in place after constant usage. I notice after constant use materials start coming off the pitcher. There is a brownish to black slime that lines the top of the pitcher after use. This should not be. I like the product because it's affordable and it's actually better than another well know blender that I purchased after I bought the Healthmaster and there is no comparison. I upgraded myself to the Healthmaster Elite and was very happy with until the pitcher started coming apart so I ordered a new pitcher. If you fixed these things, this would be top of the line high quality product which would give Vitamix a run for their money.

I hear multiple negative reviews for HealthMaster, but my experience has been very POSITIVE as far as their customer service is concerned. Yes, after 2 years of use the motor went out and they replaced it with a brand new Health Master. Then after 3 years of use of the new replacement machine, the motor went out again and AGAIN they replaced it with a brand new unit. They have given me no hassles and no problems with the return. I say they have exceptional customer service and back up their warranty. At least this is what I've experienced. Also, I love the machine...it's made some great smoothies and looking forward to using it for many more years!!

I'm so upset that I wasted my money on this blender. It worked for about a month and it died. I called to complain about it, so they said I will need to pay $50.00 for a new part which they figured it was the cup that was broken, but they ended up sending me a whole new one. It was a different style, it only worked 3 times and since then is in storage. I figured forget about it, I'm not going to keep paying money every time I call and complain about it. It's a shame that Montell is making money out of a blender that is so called life time guaranteed.
I have never paid so much money for a blender before so when I saw the advertising on TV I figured it was time to invest on a "good blender," so I'm still using the same blender that I won at my old job 15 years ago is a Cusinart, unfortunately I don't have the receipt anymore. I was so mad one day that when I was doing a spring cleaning I saw the big folder they send you with it, and I just tossed it. I forgot I had the receipt in there. What a waste of money, money I work hard for, I have a disabled husband who does not work so everything I buy is a sacrifice, it just makes me so mad when I think about it.

Healthmaster Blender was given to me as a gift from family several years ago. I was using it regularly and the last several times it had a brown slime on the bottom of the pitcher. I called the customer service and was told product no longer made and no parts available. We are talking over $200 for something with a lifetime warranty on motor. This product is a scam and monies should be refunded.

A bunch of FRAUDSTERS!

I was gifted this blender new some time ago and it was supposed to have a lifetime warranty. During the third time I used it, the motor smelled funny and stopped working. My wife called the number listed for support and they said that because this model was no longer made it is no longer supported under its "Lifetime" warranty. I find that to be a violation of that warranty. If they aren't willing to abide by their own warranty, I suggest that people should no longer buy this product. I would think that if it has a lifetime warranty and they no longer make the model, they should replace this with the newer model.

My family has owned this product for 2 years, but only used it a dozen times or so. It smells awful when in use and a greasy brown slime appears at the base of the blender pitcher. Today, when using it to make a smoothie, it smoked, caught fire, and sent hot metal/plastic shards flying around the kitchen causing bodily harm. This product isn't just garbage; it's dangerous. This product's liability needs to be addressed.

My experience with this blender is exactly the same as the majority of other reviewers here. I purchased this highly touted appliance through Montel's infomercial - big mistake. I used it a few times a week for about three months, solely to make smoothies. The one time I attempted to make soup it was so scary that I aborted the mission after just a few minutes. I thought that it was going to burn my house down, and it was supposed to go on like that for a very long time. After the few months of smoothie making, it just stopped working. It will reluctantly turn on, but instantly shuts down when any other button is pushed. It's been sitting in my basement for almost two years because I've been too angry and disgusted to deal with it. I was duped, along with many, many other people. What can be done about this?

I purchased my blender in June 2014. I did not purchased the extended warranty. I called the company today using the phone number provided by one of the customers on this website. I was ready for a fight and a runaround. To my surprise I DID NOT have to fight with the customer service department at all. The customer service floor supervisor Christina was professional and attentive to my needs. She said that model was discontinued and asked if she could transfer me to the parts department to handle my request. The representative in the parts department Brian was professional and pleasant. He informed me that he could send me another blender - a new better blender. All I had to pay was $19.99 for shipping and handling and the unit should arrive in 7 to 10 business days. Looking forward to receiving my new better unit soon. I will let you know if Tristar held true to their promise when I receive the unit.

I was so excited when I first purchased this machine that worked really good, especially by emulsifying very well. I am attaching proof of purchasing a Health Master, which lasted only three years. I did it through Amazon.com, however it is unbelievable that such a very well-known product worked only for so little. I am really disappointed. By November 2015, one day, I just turned it on (as normally), and it was totally dead even when I didn't use it everyday, just from time to time... I am attaching proof of my purchase in 2012, and also proof of new purchasing. But this time (unfortunately for your firm) from Vitamix, since I couldn't count on Health Master for very long. I think it was not fair to pay so much for a blender (supposed to last at least 8 years) that lasted barely three years. What a POOR PRODUCT!

My 76 year old mom spent $269.94 (including a 6 year warranty) on this piece of ** appliance and gave it to me as a Christmas gift in 2012. I did not ever use it until I attempted to make a smoothie on 04/03/2016. When I plugged it in, NOTHING! Please read my review and comments below and you can get your unit replaced FREE OF CHARGE with a superior product. If you purchased a warranty, the remainder of your warranty will convey to your new unit. If this information provides relief for even one person my job is done and I am happy! Please read below!
04/20/2016 @ 1235 EST - Several days prior to making this phone call, I with an individual [Customer Service Supervisor (CSS)] regarding this appliance. I was informed that the product has been discontinued, there is nothing that can be done -- "We can only refund the cost of the $30 Warranty." Subsequently, I requested to speak with HER supervisor and was requested to provide my email and phone number. I was informed that I would receive a call from her supervisor. After several days of waiting, I called back on 04/20/16.
I spoke with Christina **, I informed her that the product had a 6-year warranty. In addition, the motor was touted as guaranteed for life. I was informed that since the product has been discontinued, there is nothing that can be done. I asked to speak with her supervisor or manager above her. She asked for my contact phone number and informed me that her supervisor would call me within 45min to 1 hour.
04/20/16 @ 1429 EST - No phone call was received, so I called again and spoke with Christine ** and was transferred to Jhanelle ** (CSS). After much ado (same story I was given by all previous agents), I informed her that a class action lawsuit would be pursued and I would contact all individuals making negative reports to consumer advocacy agency. At this time, she transferred me to the “Specialty Department”. I was transferred to Caldwell, NJ and spoke with “Brian **” at the “Corporate Office”. After stating my case (including potential class action lawsuit), I was kindly informed that my unit would be replaced -- at no cost -- with a “Shred Emulsifier (Model # SE1-PRO)” that can be found at: **.
Although this item retails for only $149.97, it appears to be a superior product to a functioning HealthMaster Elite. Furthermore, the remainder of the 6 year warranty would convey to the Shred Emulsifier. As food for thought (pun intended), the website touts a “100 year warranty” on the motor. I have copied and pasted this web page onto a word document, should there be any “confusion”.
Brian informed me that I would be receiving a confirmation email within 24-48 hours that includes a tracking number. He also stated that although he has no direct phone number for contact purposes… If I do not receive the confirmation email in 24-48 hours or if there are any other unresolved issues, I should contact him at the Customer Service number (1-973-287-5170) and immediately be asked to be transferred to the “Corporate Office” to speak with “Brian (employee ID **)”.

Extremely dissatisfied with the Healthmaster Elite I purchased after watching Living Well Montel's promotion of the blender. It was very expensive. After about 20 uses to make protein shakes, it started smoking and reeking of smoke. I only used it once to make soup (this was highlighted in the promotion of the blender) but thank goodness I never left it to complete processes unattended as I feel it would have caught fire. It should be removed from the market with a huge warning to consumers.
I feel I have been totally ripped off as it was several hundred dollars. I dare not use the appliance again as the smoke from it was thick, putrid and I feel that it could very easily catch fire and cause an electrical fire in my home. I am disgusted that Montel promoted this inferior product and the manufacturer should be held responsible & should be compensating consumers for this inferior, dangerous product. Where are the standards in this country for safe guarding consumers? I look forward to a response from this complaint and expect monetary compensation. Model no: JLA-8. Serial number on the appliance is CA0067959 Date code 1208. It also states that it 'conforms' to UL STD. 982.

I purchased the Healthmaster a few years ago and it was horrible, nothing like how it was portrayed on tv. First of all, it was not as easy to use. Secondly, I used it 3 times before it burned out. It was a very heavy machine. I didn't realize that before I bought it. But, most importantly, I wasted money I didn't have to waste. I learned a valuable lesson because I had it awhile before I opened it and used it, so the fourth time, it wouldn't do anything. You could just smell a burning smell. I guess I burned it up making daiquiris. I hadn't even attempted to make smoothies yet. I totally wasted my money because they said there was nothing they could do about it. I wish I could rate it a ZERO. I would have to look for the receipt, don't know if I still have it. Don't want anything, just wanted to give my review.

I wanted to purchase this juicer for a while. Also seeing Montel was endorsing it was a big plus for me. Seeing he has had major health issues and this was why I wanted to start a lifestyle change. One of my family members purchased it that really could not afford the payment which was about 250 or more for juicer plus shipping. I used it a little over a year. I had issue within a couple months of it turning off and having to constantly hit reset button. Seeing there was a warranty on it I used it and one day just nothing. It took a complete dump. Motor won't come on.
I am very upset as I almost bought Jack Lalane juicer and this one I picked because it was smaller and everyone was going crazy over it. I wished I had gotten other juicer now. Tristar, I called and all I got was someone telling me over and over it's discontinued. I kept saying "so what are you saying? I am just out of luck now?" Same response: "it's discontinued." I just hung up seeing I was so angry I might have said something bad.
Poor Montel surely is feeling the pinch putting his name on a product and people being so upset they lost out. I really think anyone that purchased this item before it was discontinued should be reimbursed or given some credit towards another like juicer. Lifetime warranty does not mean if it's discontinued next week you are out of luck!!! Keep your word when selling a product and live of to a name. Especially when you are using someone's name on products that people admire and may buy it because they are endorsing it! No order number seeing it was a gift to me... but if you would like person's name that purchased for me I can surely do that... You don't ask for receipts for gifts and order numbers. I do have model number so seeing it's discontinued for my same reasons that should be good enough? My info is there to contact me.

We purchased the Healthmaster Elite and used it twice for light duty, it then sat undisturbed on the counter for some time. The 3rd time we tried to use it, it won't even get power. I know now, after reading all the complaints here, that this is a widely known problem for the Healthmaster, that not only does Tristar not honor their product warranty, but they are now distancing themselves from the product, almost as if they never helped to sell it.
I have written Tristar corporate offices, and indicated that without abuse or misuse of the product, the customer should never be charged in such cases. If this were one of Tristars cheaper products, I'd be a lot less angry, but as it wasn't, I'm officially complaining. Tristars CEOs should not expect their customers to take any less in satisfaction than they themselves should, were they the customer, instead of us. Furthermore, I think there should be some sort of legal action a group of people can take, that would stop this sort of sale in its tracks or at least force the company to make good. Buyer beware!

I purchased this blender thinking it would do its job and work for a good amount of years, but instead burn out in a matter of months, and was only used like 7 times. Spoke with the company customer service and at first mentioned these blenders were discontinued. After that in order to receive the replacement I had to pay for shipping and handling 29.99 and follow the email with all the details. When I received the email, there was no indication for me to send this money. After all it did come with the warranty.
After asking the associate of why they were discontinued and they were going to replace it, the call went silent. I called back again. Spoke to another customer service. She explained I was misinformed by the first person I spoke with because if I sent the blender for a replacement, they were not going to send a replacement and I was going to pay for nothing the 29.99 for shipping and handling. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't buy this product that not only is expensive but a waste of money if it breaks down and of course according to the company discontinued!!!

Hello -- I bought the blender and it sat unused for at least a year. For the last 2.5 years I have used it successfully to make vegetable smoothies mostly. The last several months it has gotten so loud when it is on that I had to plug my ears. This morning it caught on fire at the end of the mixing. When I removed the top container, where the blade end sits in was smoking and ball bearings were perched on the edge. Turning it over, all the metal pieces had melted! Glad I had a couple of good years with it but not worth the $200 or so spent when my Mom's Oster blender she spent $30 works almost as well!

Purchased the Healthmaster about 3 years ago. It worked fine up until yesterday. I plugged it in and nothing, no light. I assume the motor has died so I called the company. The manufacturer's warranty states there is a lifetime warranty on the motor. I was informed they have discontinued this model and can not honour the warranty. I asked for a number for the manufacturer and they don't know it. He told me to call Montel but didn't know his number either. I ordered this product about two and one half years ago and paid full price through their online website--which was about four payments of 39.95. I added warranty service which I actually used to replace the blender pitcher as it started leaking about 9 months after I bought it. I had to send a check for $29.95 plus pay for return shipping (which was around $15), but they did send me a replacement. In April of this year, I had the same thing happen as well as the motor stopped working. I had to send them another check for $29.95 and it cost around $30 to send it back. I have never received a new blender. I called about four weeks ago and they told me one had been sent out. Then the sales person said, "Just a minute", and came back saying, "Oh, it wasn't sent out for some reason. We will send it out right away." I still haven't received it and it is July 2. I called again this morning and they told me it was sent out April 28th.
I told them the previous girl said it hadn't really been sent out for some reason but they would do it. He tells me that they will send it for sure and I will have it in 5-7 days. It is a decent blender--I did use it a lot, but I wouldn't order it from Montel Williams TriStar. If you want one, order it from Amazon for around the $90 including prime shipping and don't bother to pay for insurance/warranty. I have spent over $100 just returning things to them because I had to give them $29.95 each time plus pay for return shipping in order for them to send anything back to me. Next time this goes out on me, if I ever do get a replacement back, I'm going to get something that lasts longer and has a better record. I know Amazon would have helped me with the replacement had I ordered it through them.

Then there were times that the blender wouldn't power on but eventually it came on. Last night, my husband made a smoothie which was very tasty but today the blender wouldn't power on AGAIN! I called customer service and spoke with a man named Reuben. I told him the problem I was having with my blender and he asked me for the model number. There seemed to be a language barrier between us because I spent most of our conversation repeating myself as well as asking him to repeat himself. I gave him the model number and was told my model was discontinued.
I asked him what was the reason it was discontinued and he purposely ignored me and tried to talk over me. I asked him again and was ignored AGAIN! I decided that I would be the better person and not make a deal of his rudeness BUT when he asked me to go get a "BUTTER KNIFE," HOLD IT ON THE POWER BUTTON, to see if it would come on. I was SHOCKED and was somewhat AGITATED because now he was messing with my intelligence! My friend who was listening because I had him on the speaker phone told me to repeat back to him what I heard him instruct me to do. That way there would be no confusion, right? Well, that is EXACTLY what he wanted me to do because he said sometimes this worked to turn the unit on.
I must say I felt REAL STUPID, but because I'm just a woman with no knowledge about this blender, I DID IT, with much regret. NOTHING! I asked to speak to his supervisor and he tells me it won't make a difference because she will tell me the same thing. I said,"Fine, but I still want to speak with your supervisor." Before let me talk to anybody, he told me that I should purchase the new Healthmaster Elite for (I think) $149.95 and I would not have a problem anymore. Then he transferred me to Rose. I explained my problem to her and as I was giving her the model #, I realized I gave Reuben the wrong model # (not enough characters). So that meant Reuben was just shooting me his usual BS. Rose told me the reason they discontinued my model was because the parts were hard to find, BUT the company was offering a "NEW" "REFURBISHED" model at a VERY LOW price of 74.99 with FREE SHIPPING!
WOW!!! Forget the $199.99 I previously paid for my blender because now I can get the ELITE model for $125.00 less! THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! BECAUSE I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING THAT HAS LIVING WELL OR MONTEL WILLIAMS NAME ANYWHERE NEAR OR ON IT! P.S. It also smelled like it was burning when we used it.
Then one morning, the motor just kept cutting itself off and then not coming back on at all. I called customer service and they were VERY RUDE. Like they were mad at me for questioning their product. I let them know what happened and that we paid $230 for it plus $30 for an extended warranty. I was told that they no longer make this model (YD-2088E), [even though it is still listed on the website as of today, February 2, 2015] and there was nothing that they can do. Purchased in 2010, and it worked fine for 3 years. Then the unit was releasing grease into the pitcher and into the drinks. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement, here is where my problem begins. The supervisors at the call centers can't seem to understand that when purchasing from another country you must pay taxes and duty, but when you are receiving a replacement part which has a $0.00 value as it is being sent to you free the invoice should read (Replacement Part) so that the shipping company avoids charging taxes and duty when bringing it into Canada. It took me about 6 calls to different people to get 1 person to understand.
Well here we are in 2014 and my replacement needs a replacement and lo and behold I am back in the same friggin corner. What is so hard to understand that you pay taxes on purchased items and not on replacement items which carry a (0) value? God, even UPS understood that concept. All I am looking for is an amended invoice that says "replacement part" on it. What is the problem with this company? This is not costing them an extra penny. I have found the product to be good and I have found that they have honored the warranty, but I find that I am dealing with many people who don't do too much thinking for themselves.

I loved my blender at first... It made great smoothies, sauces and soups. We used it daily. Then it started this high-pitched squeal every time we used it that would come and go. I sprayed the motor with WD40 and the squeal went away but the carafe/pitcher started to leak and got much worse over the next few times I used the unit. It made quite a mess. My husband and I WERE in love with this machine. However, My husband and I had purchased the 3-year extended warranty so I called for a replacement carafe/pitcher, because my pitcher started to leak out the bottom (as this was the part that was said to be faulty according to the customer service rep I spoke to). The customer service center must be in India, or some far eastern country, because all 4 representatives I tried to speak to must be Indian or in the Philippines. They tried but they couldn't understand me, and I had a very hard time understanding them.
The replacement part was on back order and the ETA they gave me was OVER 2 MONTHS! To this date I have not received the replacement, and I get jerked around every time I try to reorder a replacement. They cancel on me. Or they say it is back ordered. I then had to pay $74.99 to get the NEWER version because they do not make the one I originally bought, and now it is on back order. 6 months later. If I had known that it would have taken them 2 MONTHS to replace a faulty part, or 6 months to get a complete replacement, NEITHER OF WHICH I HAVE RECEIVED YET, I would never have purchased the product AND the warranty.
They offered to send me a complete returned unopened box or "REFURBISHED" unit for $74.99 with no shipping and handling! Wow, what a fix! I thought they said LIFETIME warranty on the commercial. Since they couldn't honor my warranty with the new part I needed... I could BUY another unit?!! WTF... I asked for a refund, which they denied, since it's a 60-day return and I had it for over a year, actually a bit more but who is counting. Especially since I cannot seem to get a replacement part or even a replacement machine. They have billed my credit card on three occasions now and then refunded the money each time within a day or two.
This last time saying that I had cancelled the order, which I did not do. I sent them a letter asking where my machine was. So they cancelled my order and refunded me the $74.99. I am highly disappointed, insulted, and angry. I want my money back, a new FUNCTIONING machine or the parts that WERE under the 3-year warranty.

Six months ago I bought a Healthmaster Elite Blender, ordered through Lowe’s Hardware in Waipahu, Hawaii because I needed to exclusively blend my food, because of pocket in my throat and because of low blood count and chronic tiredness. After a period of time, using this blender, my blood count returned to normal and my tiredness went away, to my satisfaction. Things went along fine until recently, when I noticed that the blender started to be intermittent and finally would not run any more. Fortunately I had a small Nutribullet blender, on hand for trips, so I was able to continue to blend my food.
I contacted Lowe’s to no avail, since they only had a 90 day warranty which had expired. Lowe’s told me to get a repair authorization number from the Living Well Montel Healthmaster Company, and they would do the warranty repair for the Living Well Montel Healthmaster Company, since the motor does have a lifetime warranty. However, when I called the Living Well Healthmaster Company, they told me they could not provide me this number, since I had not order my blender directly online from them through their company.
Well, I was stuck with a blender that would not work. I was thinking of buying a Vitamix Blender to replace this blender, but I decided to take the Healthmaster Elite Blender apart, to see I could see physically what was wrong with it. Well to my amazement, I found circuit board plug receptacle connection closest to the bottom on the blender, had come unsoldered and pulled out from the circuit board because of excessive heat. Further investigation disclosed that the plug connection was physically loose, which was causing heat buildup at the plug connection, which had melted the circuit board solder connection, causing it to pull out from the circuit board; thus rendering the motor inoperative.
I resoldered the circuit board connection and tighten the plug connection so that it would not heat up again, when I plugged it back in. I reassembled the blender and it now works perfectly. I am not looking for restitution from the Montel Healthmaster Company. I only want to report this so that people will be aware that they may have warranty problems in the event of the blender failure, if they buy this blender from a third party company such as Lowe’s. Knowing what I know now, I would have been much better off to order directly from the Montel Healthmaster Company to have fully warranty coverage. But I only became aware of this blender when I found it online and ordered it in person through Lowe’s. I had ordered this blender because it was about one half the price of the price of a comparable Vitamix Blender.

She has sent info to Montel Williams and complained on his facebook page. Get no response from them except future possible delivery dates. They can't get them in (supply issue?) and won't give us a different item and they won't refund the money. Should have got the more expensive Vitamix. The thing worked pretty good for a while. I used it on weekends only making two smoothies for the week. But it started to become a little noisy although it kept on working.
However, the last use cause a great deal of smoke and sparks. Can't seem to hold up to long term use. Their website continues to advertise that Health Master has all colors and models available. So we called again, but when we call, they tell us they don't and that blenders are on back order after the first lie to you that it will be shipped out to us within two weeks. This seems to be the "go to" lie of first resort. Horrid company to deal with. If I were Montel Williams I would be ashamed to have my good name associated with such a company. He won't have a good name much longer.

Tri-Star Products Health Master. I have had mine in the attic since 2012 when it stopped working. I finally decided to do whatever I had to take advantage of the lifetime warranty on the motor. I learned that Tri-Star Products will not honor the lifetime warranty because they discontinued that particular motor's model number, NOT the blender. I told them I don't care whether I have the same motor, I just want a blender that works. The two people with whom I spoke both, in the Indian manner, politely and repeatedly refused to replace the blender. I even told them that I would take a refurbished model.
The two reps with whom I spoke both lied and said they were located in NJ and that there is no corporate number and no supervisor. They kept saying, "So sorry for the inconvenience." I told them they should be apologizing for the dishonesty. What a shame. I'll never buy ANY Tri-Star product again, because the company is corrupt. I am now seeing the same experiences all over the internet. Wish there were a class-action lawsuit I could join.

They replaced the blender base. I then bought the warranty for the pitcher which sits on the top of the base which cost me $40.00. The bearings on the pitcher went bad. In June 2014 I ordered a new pitcher which I had to pay 20.00 shipping. It is October 18, 2014 and I still do not have my pitcher. Every time I call them they tell me that it is not available. I ask them when it will be available, they tell me that it is on backorder. I ask them to honor my warranty and ship me another machine. I called customer service and they tell me the motor has a lifetime warranty, so they'll send me a new base but I have to pay the shipping. That sounds reasonable to me, so I agree. A month goes by and nothing. I call them and they tell me it's backordered. Ummmm, why wasn't I told when I called originally? "How long?" I ask. "Another 6 weeks" they say. Heavy sigh. Okay, another 6 weeks. Fine.
So I call again 6 weeks later and get the same runaround. So I post my dissatisfaction on their Facebook page, and get an immediate response asking me to private message them with my order number so they can investigate the issue. I do as they ask, and am sent a reply stating the same damn thing! Backordered for another 6 weeks? Really? Really?! So there are no blenders at all to be found in their ENTIRE warehouse? So if I saw the infomercial today and called to order, there would be NONE available?? I find this preposterous.
It's a shame, not only for myself, but for all the others who I see before me who have had the same issue. If anyone out there is planning on buying this item: DON'T!! HealthMaster VS - I purchased this about 6 years ago on QVC. Montel sold this as flawless. My husband passed away. Then I found the blender in the garage, put it in the kitchen. First time my daughter tried to use would not turn on. It took me an hour and a half to figure out all the lock features between the lid and the base. Some overkill here. The noise level was enough to wake me at 3:30am when my daughter gets ready for work. We don't use it often. But I mistakenly want some crushed ice for a cold drink. The motor works, but the blades froze in place. The stench that came into the blender jar went into the ice. I mistakenly just put the ice into a glass and cover water. It was enough to gag me. As much as I paid for this, I am so disappointed. First in myself for not checking before buying. Second that Montel touted this as an excellent product, better than anything on the market. About the 2nd or 3rd time I went to use my Healthmaster, I noticed an awful black thick ooze around the top of the motor unit and in and around the underside of the pitcher. At first I thought this was oil, but I now believe it was the juice of the fruits and vegetables that I was blending becoming jet black from oxidation. Oxygen turns fruits and vegetables dark, but after the blades break the food down into such minute particles, they will turn black almost instantly, in my opinion. Besides, if it were oil coming out of the motor, mine would have used up all of its oil after the first time or two, and then there wouldn't have been any black stuff.
There is always plenty, when I use it. My husband has tried to determine what causes the leak, he said the shaft from the pitcher is too loose on the bearings as best as he could tell, since he can't get it apart to view the parts inside without risking tearing it up. Because the bearings are too loose it causes the seal to leak when it flops around, though it may not be much play, it doesn't take much for that small juice particle to get through it. It seems such a shame to me that what could be such a fantastic health machine has such a small piece to render it totally unusable. I would compare it to the O-ring in the space ship that blew up. Such a majestic man-made ship could be totally destroyed by this small piece - the O-ring.
I wish my Healthmaster Blender didn't leak, I would love to use it. Would it be too much to ask for the company to find a way to make it work, and replace each one of our pitchers. I am not too sure about the motor anymore, since I haven't used it much the past 2 years. The only time I have used it during that time, the motor did seem to hesitate.

She put it away for several months, pulled it out to use it, and no power. We called the company. They suggested returning the motor, and we pay S&H $35.00. So my mother paid the $35 and a new motor was sent to her. She still cannot get the blender to power on. I tried for her, by pressing the restart button. Nothing, no power. This blender has only been used three (3) times. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

I own a Health Master Juicer. I bought it for $150.00 a few years ago. I used it a few times then put it away in my pantry. Today I decided to use it and it wouldn't turn on. I called customer care and they told me to try the reset button. I did and nothing happened. They told me I could get a replacement motor and I only have to pay S&H $35.00. After checking to see if they had it, I was told they were out of stock and it would be 6 weeks before they had one OR I could upgrade to the elite model for $75.00.
I really think this is unfair after spending so much money and using only a few times. This product is not very good if it won't work after hardly using it. And I feel like I'm being shafted into getting a more expensive model! I don't know what to do now.

After reading all the negative reviews I will save the return and shipping postage and put the money toward a Vitamix. I'm glad I did not buy a second one for half price at the same time. His impassioned pleas, his so-called concern for our health all the while lining his pockets with hard-earned money from hardworking people who only want good health. We've had our Elite for about 2 years but, only used it for a period of less than 3 months and that was only recently. Now the motor unit is leaking what appears to be oil from a piece on top that turns the blades. There's oil all around the bottom of the pitcher every time we use it. I tried to call the help line to see where I could send the motor for repair and on all occasions everyone acted as if they couldn't hear me.
Finally I gave up and took the unit to the usual appliance repair shop I use and they said they couldn't do anything. Something about the parts not being available to them and perhaps only available to the company from which it was bought. However, after reading the terrible problems others have had, I've decided "what's the point!". I'll "run it like I stole it" and when it finally breaks, I'll buy the one I should have in the first place, a Vitamix.

The second Health Master barely used caught on fire after about 2 years. It almost burnt down the house. Called customer service. They wanted $80 for an upgrade, otherwise I would need to call back in 6 to 8 weeks. I had never heard of such crap call back after my house almost burnt down. It's obvious this is not the first one that caught on fire. The Indian guy I talked to who I could barely understand, finally agreed for me to send a 34.99 dollar check and the old mixer back (why do they need the old burnt mixer) so it's on its way as this morning. I would be so lucky after reading all the problems this mixer has had that it would get lost in mail.

Unfortunately, I didn't feel inspired to use the mix until spring was arriving or I would have beat them on their 60 WARRANTY!! Started making smoothies with ice. They were DELICIOUS and I was feeling better. All of a sudden GOO like green GOO was oozing from the bottom of the pitcher!! I called the company and was told I had to pay 50,00 for another pitcher!! I was going to send them the money because we were eating better. I decided to do some research and read some un-biased reviews. So many others were having the same exact problem AND they were having it all around 3-6 months of use!!
200.00 is a lot to spend for 2-3 weeks of juicing smoothies, even if it was everyday!! The company should have made a better product. And they know that there pitcher "gizmo" is defective, their solutions to charge customers for another defective pitcher!! Montel wants to cry in compassion for soldiers' families not getting their 250.00 death benefit due to government shutdown!! OK Montel, don't be a hypocrite. What about the hundreds of thousands of $$ you made off of consumers trying to get healthy. Really, what about all the terminally ill people who bought this to have some quality in their lives??? When I called the customer service number, I got someone apparently in New Delhi, because everyone with whom I have spoken has an Indian accent and is named John or Penny. I called first about 4 weeks ago. I was told that the lid would be replaced under warranty but they were out of stock so to call back on 9/2 which was 3 weeks later. I actually waited until the 6th to call and when I did, I was told they were still out and to call back in another 3 weeks. Infuriated, I called back immediately and asked for a supervisor and this time had a real smart ** for a rep. He said that regardless of status, they were still out of stock and wouldn't have one in for 3 weeks. That's a grand total of 7 weeks without the ability to use my blender. Just saying!!!
Both reps were however kind enough to offer me a replacement blender for the low price of $80.00. I explained that before I invest another 80 pesos into one of these things, I would just save up and buy the Vitamix which is 10 times the machine that this one is. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this piece of crap. It's loud and really not as powerful as made out to be and is only a wannabe to the Vitamix. Thanks for nothing, Montel. Health Master's customer service is not understandable due to language barriers and is almost nonexistent. To top that they refuse to give returns. I am on customer service right now and they put me on hold because they have no solution. They want me to buy a new blender top for $49.99 for a top that I only used 3 times and say it is money back guaranteed again. It's only 60 days and then what? I asked to speak to a manager and they say that he will say the same thing and was too busy. They have me on hold now, because I told him that I was reading all the complaints online with consumer reports and all service reps say the same thing. So I told him that this is scripted and I will contact Eliot Spitzer, etc.
This has to stop. Something must be done about these celebrities promoting expensive junk on the backs of hardworking Americans! The reason I bought this was to get healthy, not to get more stress in my life and get sicker by this "Sick Master". Montel should be ashamed of himself promoting crap that was probably made in China. The jerk just hung up on me! Who do I contact now?
