I called the company due to a defect in the pitcher. Order form with my product quotes replacement is $49.99 with free A&H. Reps on the phone state $79.99 plus S&H. States form is wrong. I spoke to two reps, no satisfaction. I requested a supervisor or manager and I was told they're too busy to speak with me and it wouldn't do any good. They would tell me same as them. I want the pitcher replaced free of charge and the company to admit their product is defective. Several complaints have been put in due to this issue. It's time Montel Williams apologize for his.product having defects. Either replace defective product or give back money to consumers. Quoting one price on order forms and another through website and customer service line is fraudulent.

Do not buy this blender! My husband bought this for me as a Christmas present. Right away, I noticed oil spraying out of the bottom. I didn't think much of it and put it in the cabinet below and didn't use it again for a few months. Now, when I use it, oil pours from the bottom along with what I'm mixing. I can't use it any more. I called their customer service and what a joke that was. The man I spoke with could barely speak English and was very hard to understand. I explained that I have not used this blender but maybe 10 times and now I couldn't use it at all.
I asked if they had any replacement parts to send and I could probably fix it myself. He said my only option was to buy another pitcher. I told him that from everything I just read on the internet, this is a common problem and I'm not going to buy another pitcher. I would rather put that money towards a new blender and It won't be a Health Master. I'm thinking my next letter will be to Montel Williams. It probably won't do me any good but it might make me feel a little better.

We have used this blender consistently for 2 years, about 3-4 times a week. We are about ready to order our 4th pitcher, as the mechanism leaks after 3 months of use or so. The last pitcher made it a year. They give out and leak all over the place. Great idea, not so great product. It cost $50 plus shipping the last time I ordered. The motor seems to be holding up okay. It does what smaller blenders cannot do, but I could have ordered a better product if I had known ultimately what it was going to cost. It’s still cheaper than a doctor visit I suppose.

Do not buy this blender. I bought the Healthmaster Original with a 6-year warranty. I've owned it for 2 years. I haven't used it much until recently. I have been using it daily for a couple weeks. I have never been pleased with the power of the machine. It doesn't have the strength as shown on TV. It is stronger than my Walmart buy, but not strong enough to make shacks that have frozen fruit without a lot of assistance. Now after a few days, it has started leaking oil as well as my shakes onto the base and bottom of pitcher. The motor is much louder than had been and the base rocks a little while blending. I'm worried that it may have leaked oil into my shakes since I've been feeling very ill after drinking recently. I will be charged $54 for them to ship the fixed or replaced machine back to me, not to mention the cost on my end of shipping the broken blender to them. I don't really want it back, but I deserve a new blender. I have a Vitamix ordered. Do not buy this blender!

I purchased this and didn't use it much right away. When I started using it, after the 60-day money back warranty, the motor started smoking. When I called, I was told that it was likely the bearings and they aren't covered under warranty. So I put it into storage and have only pulled it out a handful of times since then when I really needed a blender. I had company this week that drinks health shakes for breakfast, so we used it about every other day. It was working pretty well and it wasn't smoking so I thought, yeah! Maybe it'll work out after all. Not so much!
Now the pitcher is leaking and I'm concerned that any old liquid that was in the seal or grease could be getting into my shake. So yet again, it's going into storage. Keeping it just in case a class action comes through. Would love to get my money back. It seems to me that if a person like Montel sponsors this, he would be aware of all the complaints. How could you put your face and name with a product that receives so many complaints?

I bought the Elite and the 3-year replacement warranty in January of 2012. I have used it daily since then. Today, Feb. 12, 2013, it started making a loud noise and shaking and wobbling all over the counter and before I could get it turned off, black stuff was pouring into the blender and ruined my morning smoothie. I thought it would be a small inconvenience of not having it for a few days since I had purchased the warranty and had all my paper work but when I called, they told me I had to send it back and send a check in the amount of $55 to get a replacement! Do not buy this! Buy a Vitamix!

One year after I purchased this expensive HM, it started to have black liquid pour out of it, not to mention my shakes, from the bottom. It makes a horrible loud grinding sound and now smells like it is burning and pieces of the bottom are falling apart. I can't find my paperwork but know I purchased an extended warranty. There is no phone number on the bottom of the machine, just Shahaar Industries. Can someone help me? Thanks.

I purchased the Health Master after my sister did. However, she began to have problems and told me about multiple part replacements. Soon after, I had the same problems. First, it was the brown liquid from the base. Now, the pitcher leaks. Pay $25 for a new pitcher? Ha! That would be throwing good money after bad. I am going to get a Magic Bullet.

We have owned a Health Master for about 8 months. We make a smoothie everyday for breakfast and today there was a burning smell from the machine and black particles (looked like melted plastic) coming from underneath the container. Now, it still runs but there is a grinding sound when we use it. We liked it initially, but it never emulsified the frozen strawberries or ice very well (so don't know how it can emulsify cement as in the infomercial). Plus there is no safety mechanism to secure the container to the machine! It's not CSA approved obviously. For certain, we will not fix this product in fear that something else will break and we can't live without it for 30 days while it gets fixed. Shame on Montel! I guess he's laughing all the way to the bank!

I purchased the HealthMaster elite after watching an infomercial that showed Montel making juices for kids. It claimed to be powerful and makes healthier juices by using whole fruits and vegetables instead of discarding much of them into a pulp bin. I wanted to make healthy juices and smoothies. I have only used it once and the juice came out warm even though I followed a recipe and it was not like juice from a juicer - it was very thick like a smoothie. Who wants to make fresh juice or a smoothie and have it come out warm? If I was making soup, I could understand it being warm. The machine cannot be used on the high speeds as it bounces all over the counter- you have to stay with it and hold it still. The base is heavy and the pitcher is a light plastic and does not have the feature of locking into place that even a $10.00 blender has!
You think Montel would research reviews on a product before putting his name on it! The customer service representative told me that there had never been a customer complaint on this product and that I was the only one that had a problem with it. When I said that had to be a load of crap, she put me on hold and never came back to the phone. I then went online and researched reviews on the product and found that the average reviews for this product was between 1-2.8 stars out of 5 and that I was not the only one complaining about this product. I called customer service back and another representative told me that all he could do was ship me a new base and I would have to send the old one back. This was with the extended warranty, which he said did not cover refunds on the product. I was told on the phone when I ordered it that if I didn't like it, that I was entitled to a full refund.
I will never order from an infomercial again! Even if it says you only have a few minutes to call and order, I encourage anyone considering buying this product or anyone that knows someone considering buying it to jump online and research the reviews on this product, because the average review for it is not good. I have never written a review on a product before, but the customer service representative who told me that there had never been a complaint on this product and that I was the only one who had an issue with it really upset me. I knew I could not be the only one. Now that I have gone online and done my homework, I only wished I had done it sooner and not trusted an infomercial just because of the familiar name representing it! It makes me wonder too if the juice coming out warm actually destroys some of the nutrients. I should have known that it was too good to be true that this product could make cold juices and smoothies and yet also makes hot soups!

I used this junk master for about 1 week and it leaked all over my kitchen. I poured the liquid out to look & see what was wrong. The blades fell out into my sink. That scared me because the container is plastic. Could the blades spin fast enough to bust through this cheap plastic? I think so. Can't we as consumers, get quality products anymore? I mean, this was not a cheap purchase. Come on Health Master, you know you have a problem with your product. Fix it and do right to those who bought from you.

After using the Montel Healthmaster Blender for two weeks (one smoothie each morning), approximately 28 minutes of use the bearing started leaking. Pretty much the same response from the manufacturer as everyone else - dropped calls, put on hold until five o' clock then drop the call. When I did get to talk to them, I was told it was out of warranty. Junk, scam and a rip-off. How has it come to this - a company can deal so unethically with so many people and be allowed to continue to do the same thing over and over and not be held accountable!?

Nonetheless, the Healthmaster web page states that you have 60 days to return the product. The customer service department was not willing to provide me with a return address or phone number. People have had new ones sent to them that still have the same problems. This item is very disappointing and a waste of my money. In Dec. 2011, I purchased a Health Master Blender from a television infomercial with Montel Williams. Since then, I keep getting a recurring charge on my bank card. I have not ordered anything other than the blender but this company continues to charge for a bogus "Value Plus Membership" that I didn't even know was part of the Health Master Blender order. I called my Bank and had tried to have these charges stopped only to find these charge show up again the following month.
Today, my bank representative was kind enough to assist me in contacting this company (since I have been trying to contact this company for the last 4 to 6 weeks with no success in actually getting anything other than a busy signal). My bank rep was successful and with her help and guidance, we were able to cancel this "Value Plus Membership." The rep from Value Plus Membership Services stated that I could file a complaint and request a refund from Consumer Affairs. She suggested I contact Consumer Affairs directly for quick results; otherwise I could be waiting another 2 weeks for their "Refund Request Letter". The charges are $24.95 per month. Since Jan 24, 2012 through Aug 22, 2012, they have received a total of $199.60 from my account. I would like to file a scam complaint and try to get my money refunded if at all possible. Please let me know what my next step should be in this situation.

I am very angry at the present time for I purchased online the Healthmaster Elite from the Montel Williams Healthmaster website. I read the terms of agreement. I was advised that I had a right to a full refund if I was unsatisfied with this product or did not want it, so long as I returned the product for a full refund within 60 days from the date I purchased it.
I purchased this product on 6/11/12 and returned it via USPS delivery confirmation on 7/31/2012 at 6pm, as clearly stated on the Montel Williams TV program I originally watched and as was informed of the refund policy and also outlined in my purchaser's terms of agreement outlined by TriStar Products, Inc. Therefore, I am well within my rights to expect an immediate refund, which is totaling $100.86. It should be credited back to the credit card of my son, Tyler, who used to make this purchase as a gift for me.
The reason I returned this product was after receiving it, I realized that the blender already in my home was just as sufficient as the Healthmaster Elite device and performed 90% of the same functions. And since I had already paid for my other blender, I decided to repackage the Healthmaster Elite in red and contact the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff and request how to proceed with properly returning this product. I initially contacted the TriStar Product, Inc. customer service staff during the week of June 20, 2012 to request how to proceed with returning this product. However, instead of a simple return and refund conversation, I was told that a senior customer service staff member would have to contact me at my home at a more convenient time to him/her.
I patiently waited for literally one full month, until the second week of July 2012 to contact the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff yet again. This time, after being put on hold for more than 10 times and forced to stay on hold for more than 45 minutes prior to a staff person taking my call and another 25 minutes of being forwarded to various customer service staff and eventually to a male supervisor, I finally was provided with an RA number, which is a Return Authorization number. I was also told I would have to pay out of my own pocket to return this device.
The TV show that advertised the Healthmaster Elite blender information included Montel Williams emphatically and repeatedly stressing to potential buyers of this product that there was a 60-day, no-hassle return policy, which included free shipping and a free return policy. To date, I am now being denied the right to a full refund of $100.86, and I am being told by TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff that as of 8/1/2012, my product was accepted as a returned product by their company.
However, no refund of $100.86 will be refunded at this time due to the credit card my son used to purchase the Healthmaster Elite not being open and able to accept refund presently. This is entirely not true. And despite the numerous attempts I've made yesterday and again today to resolve this issue with the TriStar Products, Inc. customer service staff and supervisors, I'm being given a new excuse now, that my son will not receive a full and complete refund due to the fact that I returned the Healthmaster Elite well after the 30-day initial trial period expired. This is not true, as once again, this product was purchased with a written agreement (terms of use for the product and purchase) and live on TV with Montel Williams promoting the product, that I had a full 60 days to review this product and return it for a full refund, which again for me would be $100.86.
In summation, please advise me as to what immediate course of action I should presently pursue in order to ensure that TriStar Products, Inc. is forced to immediately refund my son in full $100.86 for a product he graciously ordered for me and which I never used, only opened, reviewed, and then within the 60-day limit, returned with insurance on the product and delivery confirmation from the Enola, PA 17025 postal office. If possible, have a member of your legal team contact me for a brief overview of my son's and my present situation with TriStar Products, Inc. and perhaps offer me some much needed legal advice as to what legal actions I must pursue at the present time to immediately remedy this most unfortunate of circumstances. Thank you ever so kindly for your time.
Note: Should a member of your legal team attempt to contact me unsuccessfully, please advise him/her to leave a detailed voice mail message, to include the date, time, and specific reason for his/her call. Finally, provide me with specific dates and times which are most suitable for me to return his/her call. I will also require a brief explanation of the specific information I should have at my disposal when I am best able to return his/her call. Thank you ever so kindly once again for your time and attention to this situation at hand.

Hey idiots, we paid, ship the product! When we called, they said they would have to wait to charge the next payment before shipping it. What? The customer care line said their job was to protect the investors and would ship after they got our second payment. I told them to just stick it and cancel our order. The motor also, over this time, now seems to struggle with just yogurt/milk/spinach and a few frozen strawberries. I looked online and found similar complaints. I called the customer service number, and was told that the leak of oil was due to a crack in the bearing housing, and that problem had been fixed. They would send me a new unit, pitcher and motor base, if I paid the $34.99 S&H charge.
I was not asked to return the defective unit. I'm reluctant that I'm getting into a do-loop of paying recurring fees, to replace a unit that cost a total of $229.95 to begin with. I think if there's a known problem, a recall should have occurred, and replacement after rectification of the problem should have occurred, at no cost to the customer. At this point, $34.99, is cheaper than buying a new but different brand replacement for this product. I was told 2-3 weeks for delivery of the new unit. Now when I called on two different occasions they stated that "I would have to pay for the shipping". I really don't think this is fair. I've done nothing inappropriate as far use and they state,"a 100 year warranty on the motor. Well, that is what is not working. So, why should I have to pay for the shipping on another product. I asked if they have to make the customer pay to get another machine, then they must have a lot of their machines coming back, both times they stated, "no". I confirmed my email address each time, but still have not received the label. I also wrote to the complaint department and haven't received a response.

I purchased the Healthmaster Elite thinking it was less expensive than the Vitamix I was also considering. The Healthmaster Elite was 4 payments of $49.99 so all told, it came to over $200.00. It came with a nice cookbook filled with what looked to be wonderful recipes. What it didn't come with was a motor strong enough to process meats like chicken or turkey like the infomercial claimed. I tried to make the Monster Mash that was a meatloaf filled with vegetables - a recipe for children who don't like vegetables, but I used to it to learn how to run the machine. I prepped everything according to the recipe and started to process the chicken.
However, every time each time I ran the machine, the motor overheated and shut off. I let the machine cool off and then hit the reset button. I turned the machine on again and the same thing happened. I tried about 5 times before the machine permanently quit on me. The recipe should have taken only an hour (including baking time in an oven). However, since the motor kept quitting, it took 2 hours because I gave up on the Healthmaster Elite and finished the recipe using my Cuisinart. I then had to clean up the various pieces to 2 counter top appliances when I should have needed only 1. While the Monster Mash recipe was an interesting concept, I found the recipe to be bland, to say the least, even for a child's palate.
A 100-year guarantee on a motor doesn't impress me at all when the Healthmaster Elite doesn't work as advertised the first time out of the box. Nor does the 60-day return policy. I didn't want the machine replaced; I wanted a refund despite using the Healthmaster Elite for the first time after the 60-day return period. This is a large machine the requires a large amount of counter space for my very small apartment kitchen. It took me quite a while to clear enough space for this machine because I am disabled and have difficulty maneuvering things in my kitchen. I went to their site to find out that I needed to get a return authorization number.
When I called, I was told I would get a label with the return authorization number on it. Healthmaster wouldn't hear anything of my disabilities and why I missed the 60-day limit so this is what is going to happen: they're going to send me a mailing label with the authorization for the broken Healthmaster Elite, I send the broken one to them, and they, in turn, will send me a new Healthmaster Elite WHICH I DON'T WANT!!

I have two Healthmasters, one standard model and the other overpriced even more Higher HP model that claims to have more power. So with two different units, I couldn't tell any difference between the so called Extra Power to the standard model. Within a few months, the Deluxe Model, like many other complaints I've seen online, began leaking grease from the motor into the base, then started getting oil/grease into the contents in the pitcher, which also started leaking. The lower cost unit, also proved to be a piece of junk. Also Made in Communist China, and routinely trips the circuit breaker on both the unit itself and the GFCI outlet in the kitchen where it is used. I haven't tried grinding a concrete block like Montel Williams claims on TV, but I can say apples, carrots, and other hard veggies or fruits don't do as well.
I bought these to lose weight and get greens, fruits, and other so called healthy foods into me that I wouldn't normally eat. However not only did I gain weight, but some of my health issues got worse following their recipes. I'll take part of the blame for not sending them back immediately when I opened the repacked box to the inner box and saw in big bold black letters: MADE IN CHINA. So at $267 per unit times two, I'm out of over $500 worth in crap I can't use, made in China for pennies on the dollar. I wonder if we should start a class action suit against Montel Williams? After all, he is here in America where we can get to him in the courts. China, no chance. I think today, I'll start calling consumer reporters, Montel Williams show, the Better Business Bureau, and any news agency I can think of about the POS blender. I was among the first people, like many others, that thought this would be a great kitchen appliance when it first came out. Now I'm man enough to admit I was wrong.

I bought the Health Master through a television advertisement on April 2010, then after using, it randomly for the fourth time it did not work. I called customer service to try and resolve the issue and they explain that I was few days late for the warranty that I had purchased. And that they could not refund my money, but they could replace the health master. I waited weeks for the replacement via mail and when I finally received the product, it did not work. I called them again and they wanted to go through the same tutorial to see if it worked and then they just hang up on me.

After 2 months of using the Montel Health Master, it started leaking black oil from the bottom of the unit (so much oil that it dripped). I went online to check the complaints regarding this problem and sure enough it had been reported by a good number of people. When I finally talked to someone in customer service about the problem, I was told that mine was the first complaint in this matter (today's date 08/20/2010). I guess all the other complaints was just in my mind. Go figure.
I requested a full refund, but since I was past the deadline of a refund (2 months), all that was offered to me was another Health Master. I was also guaranteed that this problem would not occur again, which got me to thinking, if this problem has never been reported by anyone else in the history of the Health Master, how could they give me a guarantee. Yes, I am **. I will never ever buy another product with Montel Williams’ name attached to it. Shame on you, Mr. Williams.

I purchased the Health Master from a TV commercial. I did not open the blender for 4 months (my mistake). I have used this product twice to make a fresh fruit and yogurt smoothie with no ice. Now, the motor has burned out. I contacted the customer service center on 03/27/10 at 10 am, I explained to their agent what has happened. I was informed because I opened the box and used the product and it was past the 60 day mark, they will not give me a refund or accept the product back.
I even purchased a 3 year warranty but was told that is just for parts. This was not explained to me at the time of purchase. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was informed that none was available, and they would call me back. I am still waiting for that call. I am now stuck with a product that does not run. This is deceptive practice. I have since found there are a lot of people having problems with this company. It needs to be stopped. I purchased this product for $239.92 plus warranty $15 shipping $29.99. I am out $284.91.
