10 January 2024; I ordered a DCC-1200BKSNAS coffee maker from Amazon. Previous experience with an older model of the same design and the claims of "After your water passes through our cuisinart coffee maker water filter all you are left with is clean, safe, great tasting coffee to drink" and "coffee maker water filter stop the build-up of impurities that can eventually cause damage to your coffee machine or brewer" influenced my purchase decision.
Unfortunately, the poor design/engineering or manufacturing of the machine has completely defeated the functionality of these benefits. The receptacle for the filter holder is too large to provide any actual directional water flow through the filter. The holder rattles around when in place and floats up and out of position when filling the reservoir. The older design used a round filter and a holder that friction fit into the socket at the base of the reservoir, a practical and functional design.
When contacted by email, Cuisinart customer service (and I use the term loosely) requests pictures and or videos which were provided, tacitly agreed that the filtration system was not functioning properly and sent what they described as an "improved" filter holder (YAY!). It was an exact duplicate of the one I have issue with (BOO!!).
An interminable number of disappointing emails filled with meaningless platitudes and inane suggestions have convinced me that they have no intention of honoring their stated warranty under the defects in materials or workmanship clause and will continue their campaign of false and misleading claims. Obviously, the voice of the consumer is no longer of any concern to this company, they are going to continue to abuse their customer base with substandard products and abysmal service. The one star is for style points, I still like the look of the machine.

Cuisinart is absolute trash! I ordered a pan set and noticed the shipping address was wrong and three minutes after ordering I tried to get the address fixed to match the billing and was told I'll have to wait for it to get to UPS then call them to see if they can change the address. Ordered at 10:32 am on a Sunday and at 10:35 there's nothing they can do. No changes or canceling of the order. I'll probably return the pans when they come and order from another company simply out of spite.

I purchased the set of pots and pans last summer for my daughter who has a family with four young children. Not wanting to hurt my feelings she did not let me know just how poor quality these pots are. I learned the hard way while I was at her place and trying to cook something in one of the pots. They stick more than any pots I have ever used in my life. I am so disappointed that I found this out too late as I no longer have the receipt. I bought them on sale at a home hardware store. They are basically useless and we now have to try to find her a better set. I was very disappointed because Cuisinart is usually such a good brand.

I placed an online order on Saturday 03/08/25 and immediately realized a mistake. I called customer service, was hung up on 3 times by people who spoke with a thick accent. I could not change the order via customer service. I was told to call 833-844-6428 on Monday. I called as soon as they were open. I was told that I couldn't cancel the order or change the shipping address. I would have to receive the item and pay to have it shipped back for a full refund. I will never buy from them again.

I bought a Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill (Coffee grinder) for my new condo. I moved in a year ago. I have been preferentially using a pod type coffee maker and have had no occasion to grind coffee. This past week I had guests and ground some coffee in my brand new grinder. It worked as advertised for the first two grinds and then stopped working. I cleaned it, turned it on/off, plugged/unplugged, repositioned, took the receptacle out and replaced it.... worked briefly once and never again. I tried to WRITE to Cuisinart for assistance but it said I got the serial date code wrong (which is on the plug, they show a picture and I copied it directly from the plug) and disallowed me to submit.
I called on Monday (today) and the girl offered no help, no service center. Just that the machine is out of warranty (2 year warranty, I've had it for a year) and told me to buy a new one. I find $30 per successful grind unacceptable. My STRONG RECOMMENDATION - don't buy ANYTHING CUISINART. If you do, staple the receipt to the instruction manual and file it. Don't expect any help. Good luck.

My husband and I got a knife set 3 months ago and the block completely broke, definitely a quality manufacturing issue. When we called to get it replaced they said that was not under lifetime warranty and all they could do is offer 20% off for a new set. Will not be purchasing from them again. This showed greed and low quality, along with dishonestly of marketing for what is under their warranty.

Their policy say that it takes 10 days to get refund and yet they have failed to refund my money... I have filed BBB/FTC complaints and spoke with multiple representatives and sent emails....and they say they received the item in the 4th which is a damn lie... the UPS tracking shows when they received it.... I would not recommend buying this brand or ordering items online... they are big liars and Kitchenaid product and customer service is waaaaay better.

The first year I bragged about how the Cuisinart: DSA22-24 frying pan was the best one I ever had due to it being so easy to clean. One swoop and it was clean. However, going on 2 years now it is not so easy to clean anymore. After making scrambled eggs etc., I have to scrub it like it was an old iron pan. It kept getting harder and harder to clean so I contacted customer service and explained that I had already tried the baking soda trick, and they sent me an email to submit pictures which I did along with a ticket number. After contacting customer service a week later they said it was normal wear and tear as it becomes harder to clean. Wow! Didn't expect that, Not even a discount. Phony Warranty and after all these years I am done with Cuisinart and will not even buy a new Cuisinart coffee maker as that is also about done after 3 1/2 years.

I bought the Cuisinart SS-21 to replace the Cuisinart SS 10-cup & Keurig single-serving I have. I went through the self-cleaning process on the new SS-21. I took the insulated stainless-steel carafe off the base and almost burnt my hand when I touched the bottom of the carafe. It was very hot. The “Resting Plate” on the unit’s base was also very hot. This never happened on my existing 10-cup.
I called customer service and described the problem. First, after they talked to a superior, they said that the carafe might be defective and conducting heat from the water down through its bottom. While on the phone, I tested the carafe by running very hot tap water into the carafe, the bottom remained cool. They talked to their superior again and then told me that the base does have a heater and that it was operating normally. From what they said, I guess that the SS-21 uses the same heated base as Cuisinart’s SS-16 with a glass carafe. I am not satisfied with this unit’s operation and must send it back at my own expense. My complaint is that they do not warn an owner about this burn hazard.

"I've given Cuisinart toasters three chances with two different models, and each time they've let me down. This latest long slot toaster has been a complete disappointment. The uneven toasting, unpredictable settings, and flimsy build quality make breakfast a frustrating experience. Sometimes it over-toasts on one side while barely warming the other, leaving me to guess if I'll get a proper slice.
But even worse than the toaster's performance is Cuisinart's customer service. Each time I've tried to reach out, I’m met with long wait times, dismissive responses, and zero accountability. After three bad experiences, I’d expected at least some acknowledgment or an offer to make things right. Instead, I'm left with an overpriced paperweight and a sour taste for the brand. Buyer beware—this toaster is not worth the headache."

We have a lot of Cuisinart appliances. They’ve been great. We dropped the coffee maker while cleaning it and bought the same one. It’s programmable and has no carafe. It dispenses. Upon arrival it would intermittently brew immediately in the evening when programmed to brew in the morning. If I hadn’t owned the identical unit for three years without an issue I’d claim user error. Sent 3-4 emails over a period of a month to customer service without a reply. Finally we connected and I sent them serial # etc. They replied that they would email me a claim number and instructions. Three weeks later and 3 emails from me, nothing. Finally called them and they said the procedure was to cut the cord, send them a pic and they’d send me a new coffee maker in a couple of weeks.
I asked how I was supposed to make coffee while I waited and reminded him that the last time customer service said they would send a simple email it never arrived. The agent asked me to set the maker to brew in the morning to see if it would brew immediately. I reminded him that the issue was intermittent. I can set it to brew at 6:00 am before I go to bed and sometimes I wake up to a cold pot of coffee that obviously brewed some time overnight. I set it to brew and it didn’t malfunction so he closed the ticket (that really was never opened, right) and said to call back if I have any more issues. Wait, what? Did I just spend 2 months with a bad coffee maker only to be told there is no longer a problem and call back if there is? Yup, told the guy that was lousy customer service and I’ll be buying myself a new coffee maker from another brand.

Until recently, I was a proponent of Cuisinart Customer Service. Not anymore. First, it's 3 year parts and labor warranty and its processing has changed dramatically. Gone are just calling in an incident followed by the product being sent to you. Followed by the customer returning the power cord to Cuisinart. Oh no. Now you have find a box and ship the product back to Cuisinart. Then you have to wait for Cuisinart to determine the issue and then return it to you meaning that you'll be without a coffee maker from three to four weeks. And now, Cuisinart is outsourcing part of its customer service to third world nations. Where, if you're lucky, you'll reach someone who speaks understandable English. Or, perhaps, you get someone who doesn't understand the problem and hangs up on you, twice. After my latest experience, I'll be purchasing another coffee maker from a different brand.

He transferred me, I was on hold for half an hour, & he got back on, apologized, & suggested I contact them through the website, which I did. AT NO TIME did I ask for warranty coverage; I wanted to know & make sure this was documented as a problem. Every time Cuisinart emailed, it was to tell me the warranty was expired. Twin oak pellet and gas grill. Worst grill I’ve ever owned. Cuisinart subcontracts the grill manufacturer and customer service to a 3rd party. Lousy quality. I’ve had 3 warranty claims in 2 years. The body is deteriorating. The electronic control went out. The design is deeply flawed in that the pellet side does nothing to add real smoke flavor because the few pellets needed to reach 200* is so small that no is added. Really lousy customer service rounds it all out. Cuisinart used to mean quality. Don’t waste your money. If anything goes wrong you will be ignored.

My comment is less about the product than about the customer experience of purchasing direct from Cuisinart's website. After our former 3 quart pot started leaking through the base weld, we opted to purchase a new one. I selected a level up without the weld and thought - based on the website photo - that it was the same size. When we received it, it was taller and narrower, making it unsuitable for our needs. Upon reaching out to customer service and explaining, I was spoken down to and told they would consider my request to waive return fee via a ‘referral.’ I was to hear back in 3-5 days. Week passes with no response, so I call back. Told - there’s no response, so that probably means it was denied. Asked to speak to a manager, ‘you can submit a referral, and someone will call back in 1-2 days.’ Sure. Anti-customer start to finish. Would not recommend doing business direct.

I’m horrified to find so many reviews going back over a decade of EXACTLY what happened to my Cuisinart coffee maker this morning! Keep in mind we’ve also had this machine for less than a year—it was a wedding gift purchased through Theknot, so I’m not even sure we’ll have luck getting anything out of the warranty which is maddening. I brewed a pot of coffee, poured myself a cup (about 5c left in pot on warmer), went to collect/take the trash out and came back inside about 10-15 min later to hear loud gurgling and sputtering.
Before I even got to the kitchen I smelled electrical/plastic burning and when I got there the coffee maker was smoking from the warming plate AND the inside of the coffee maker. I unplugged it and took it outside but it didn’t stop gurgling and smoking for a while. The burner got so hot it started peeling. I don’t even want to think about what could have happened if I had been gone longer with our dog left inside. THESE NEED TO BE RECALLED. Why are so many of these issues specifically with 12c models?? An EXPENSIVE machine down the drain but thankful we didn’t also lose our HOUSE AND DOG!!

This may seem petty but I needed a new Toaster so did some research and concluded that a Cuisinart 2 Slice Toaster looked perfect. Before I ordered one, I checked to see where Cuisinart was located and GOOGLE revealed they were in Stamford Connecticut, I buy nothing from ANY Californian company or business. I am in New York so figured I 'd have the toaster fairly quickly and subsequently placed an order for one through the Cuisinart website on the 20th of Jan 23. On the 21st Jan I received an email telling me my order had shipped - well, a packaging label for UPS had been made. I checked the tracking details to find out when it would be delivered to see that it was in a place called "Goodyear AZ" - a long way from Stamford Connecticut!
As a result of that, I emailed Cuisinart to find out why the order was in AZ when they were supposed to be in Connecticut. The reply I got was they weren't in Connecticut but a city very very close to Goodyear AZ - Glendale AZ. The email also stated that MY order was shipped from their New Jersey Warehouse. Because of that revelation, I replied asking why on earth the order was in AZ if it was shipped from New Jersey. As of this review, and a second email to Cuisinart to try to find out what was happening, I have heard nothing, which seems to be the standard operating procedure for Cuisinart if you question them OR even ask questions.
In short - how can you trust a company that doesn't even know where they shipped orders from and who can't be bothered replying to customers issues? You can't, and shouldn't. IF you want Cuisinart stuff - buy it from a shop, at least you will know that you will get it. Better still, buy a different brand, there are LOTS out there.

Appx 2 weeks after receiving that notification I reached out to them because the status of the shipment had not changed and UPS had still not received the package. The first person I spoke with told me that my order had been cancelled by myself the day prior, however no phone call was made and my records indicated the same. I made her aware of this and she had very little to say to me beyond that. I called back right after and the person I got ahold of made me aware that it was not cancelled but that instead notes had been made upon my order that were very strange and were not something she had seen before. Before the call ended she made me aware that a manager was to reach out to me in the coming days however no one ever contacted me.
On 12/20 I reached out to them by email once more and they never responded. I then took it upon myself to see if anyone else had experienced the same thing I was going through and sure enough many other consumers described a similar experience with Cuisinart parts. Customers waiting on the phone are required to confirm they are still waiting by pressing #1 every MINUTE. Or press #2 if you want a call back. Clearly they discourage waiting. Customer service did not realize that the internet was giving the customers arrival dates. They had no power to reduce the price of the product or to stop the delivery of the product. In about 7 months, the toaster option stopped working. Then 2 months later the product stopped working altogether. Cuisinart claims that it will provide 3 years warranty to the product. However when I called their warranty, I was told that since I did not unplug the product after every use they are going to count it as incorrect usage of the product and not cover it under warranty. TOA-60 Cuisinart AirFryer Oven. I needed a small countertop oven when I moved into a retirement center. My requirements were that I could fit a 12 inch pizza in it, that I could bake bread in a loaf pan, it was in my price range (living on social security). I looked online at all the available options and chose the Cuisinart TOA-60 AirFryer Toaster Oven. When the oven arrived I plugged it in, placed an oven thermometer inside, and set the temperature to 350 degrees. I waited for the temperature to level at 350 degrees but it never did. The temperature kept going up! I tried all the different settings and the temperature would never hold steady. A steady temperature is needed to bake.
I called Cuisinart and explained the problem and they sent me another oven. When it was here I plugged it in and repeated the temperature check. The temp was not holding at a steady rate. It seemed as if there was no thermostat at all. It would just keep getting hotter. Once again I called Cuisinart and they politely said they would send me another one. I asked the representative if I could get a refund and she explained they wouldn’t do that but could issue credit towards another Cuisinart product. I told her I really needed an oven that would work and the odds were not in favor of the next oven working either. She said they would send me another one or issue credit with no other options. I said alright then, send another oven.
They did send another one and it has the same problems as the others. I looked online and saw that other people had the same problem with the same problem. I’m not sure what the statistics are, but a large percentage of people have had this issue and it seems wrong that Cuisinart hasn’t dealt with it or that at least they should offer a refund. I’m very disappointed with Cuisinart.

I am writing to let you know that my SS-700 has failed in a very dangerous manner. I had the timer set to turn off my machine shortly after I left the other morning to drop kids at school. I returned an hour later to find that the machine had stayed on, spewed out all of the water, and was extremely hot. So hot that the k-cup in the machine had shrunk up like shrinky dink plastic and the plastic body of the machine was warping. I tried to turn it off and the switch did nothing. I truly believe it was reaching the point where it could have burst into flames, if I had not returned home when I did. I also could have had some pretty major water damage. I was very lucky to have only been gone a short time, as I truly believe I might have lost my home otherwise. I tried to warn Cuisinart, and got a so sorry, so sad message. I am very unimpressed with their customer service.

The replacement parts are outrageous. I would not make this purchase again. The older Cuisinarts had glass bowls, and were made to last a long time. This was hugely overpriced. This is to notify anyone that has purchased a DC-1100/BK coffeemaker that they check the bottom of their heating plate for corrosion. You must turn the coffeemaker over to find this out. We clean the top of our heating plate with a wet paper towel only per the instruction manual. Granted that our machine is now 5 years old, but I really don't know when the corrosion started. All I can is that we looked at the bottom our coffeemaker yesterday and it disintegrated in my hands. There was nothing left except for flakes of corrosion. I am assuming that this is a fire hazard.
I called Consumer Affairs at Cuisinart and asked if any recall has been issued on this model and they said no. I told them I didn't want to go buy another machine like this one unless they have fixed this problem. The representative was very helpful and said that this part has not been re-engineered so they obviously "don't know" there is a problem with it.
My complaint alone won't help this situation. If we want them to do a recall of this part on this coffee maker then the consumer should provide documentation - purchase date and proof of purchase, and description of problem (I suggest a picture of the problem also). You can call (800) 726-6247 and ask for Consumer Affairs. I hope that others call so that they fix this problem. I am very grateful that I checked this yesterday because not having a solid base on the bottom of the machine could have started a fire.

When I called Cuisinart on Monday 03 June to report the problem and get instructions for how to return the incorrect product, the representative reported that Cuisinart's "system" was inoperative. It was completely covered in rust. Apparently this company knows a problem exist from all the reviews from customers who have the same problem with their machines. The plastic tubing inside is defective. It cracks or a pin hole ends up being the problem. I tried some water tight sealant over the crack and that worked for about 3 weeks and it started up again. Never did get it to stop leaking.
The 2nd machine did the same thing - leaking - bottom plate was rusted. This plastic tube leaking was farther up inside the machine where I could not get it too. Also both of these machines started making a noise, sound like a grinding noise from when the water is being pulled in from water tank area. What I found out is the so called water pump motor is the issue. After a few yrs the noise got louder and louder. Did not need a alarm clock anymore. 5 am and the echo thru the house from the auto timer of the coffee machine, the grinding noise started up. The shaft screws onto the motor and is easily replace by removing 9 screws. Customer service will not sell me a new part. I must ship the entire processor across country at my expense, include return shipping fees, and they will tell me how much it will cost to repair it. Why can't they just sell me a new part? It will cost so much to pack and ship this thing, and then pay for the part that it's cheaper to just throw it away. What an ingenious way to avoid the responsibility of replacing defective products! What a total waste of our precious resources. I'll never buy the brand again.

My Cuisinart TOA-60 Oven is defective so contacted Cuisinart and they sent me new oven (warranty replacement) and told me to use same packaging to return defective unit. They also told me to enclose $10 to cover shipping of replacement oven. I took defective unit to UPS and due to size of box and return address, it will cost $94 to ship defective unit to CUISINART and that is the least expensive option!! That is more than half of what I paid for the oven!! Contacted CUISINART telling them I refuse to pay that much to ship defective unit and they will not absorb the cost. Terrible to demand customer to assume shipping cost for defective product!! I will never buy from them again nor will I return the defective oven. They can come get it!

Do not buy the above product. The viewing window for this kettle has a defect. Ours broke with a few months of receiving the product as a gift. When I researched and learned it to be known manufacture's defect, I emailed Cuisinart Customer Service. They did nothing to resolve the matter or offer a replacement. If food is recalled, we can take it to the store to get a refund. I would think a big company like Cuisinart would do the same to stand behind their brand. Not true. I will not buy Cuisinart products again and will not recommend the brand to others. See similar reviews: **.

Cuisinart: I will never buy another appliance from them! The electronic panel on this new Grind & Brew Thermal Coffeemaker is not functioning: it registers EMPTY when I have filled both water and beans; it registers CLEAN when it is clean; and it does not go on except in the programming mode, i.e., ON does nothing. In addition, it makes THE WORST coffee I have ever had. Cuisinart customer service does not answer emails and, as I am writing this, the "customer service" technical rep has not picked up the phone after 30 minutes of wait-time. This company, wonderful for giving us the Cuisinart, has definitely gone down the drain.

2nd defective lid on Cuisinart Pro Custom 11" ( DLC 8) - I seldom use a food processor, but when the recall for the blade was issued I took it out to inspect the blade to see if it was in the recall. After removing the blade I replace the lid and the plastic piece on the lid that depresses the plunger on the rear of the bowl snapped off rendering it inoperative. When calling in the recall for the blade, I ordered a replacement lid for about $34.00. That took me about 2 hours on the telephone. The replacement blades arrived about a month later, and the lid didn't arrive until about about a month after the blade... Approximately 8 weeks for delivery of a purchased item.
Once the lid arrived I unpacked it and briefly tested it on the processor for fit and function. Everything seemed to be correct. The next time I go to actually use it it won't start. A cursory inspection shows that the plastic piece on the lid that depresses the plunger (the same piece that broke off on the original lid) is bent to where it doesn't contact the plunger sufficiently to operate the switch for the motor. Apparently they replace a component that was so brittle that it breaks after use with a component that is so malleable that it deforms the first on the first or second use.
Another call to Cuisinart warranty and after about a half hour they are able to find my purchase of the lid in their system. They are sending a replacement, claiming it will arrive in 8 to 10 days... And I was informed that they want me to send the defective part to some place in Arizona but they are not going pay for the return shipping. Really??? The customer agent I spoke to on the phone was polite and as helpful as possible. But their product is flawed, their customer service is understaffed and their return policy that requires the owner of a defective product not only be inconvenienced but pay for a return of a defective item is ludicrous.

My fiance and me purchased a Cuisinart espresso machine for around $200.00 at a Superstore and upon opening it the next morning in excitement to make our own coffees at home we discovered it was missing pieces and it was used! When we went to assemble the machine with the portafilter had mold on it and was clearly an old machine which we were beyond disgusted with!! We have emailed Cuisinart consumer & customer service which we received one response after a few days asking questions which we already provided in our initial email! We are seriously disgusted with the lack of service or care for their product, I am not sure how any company would want their customer service to run that way. It has been almost over a week and still no response. Such a waste of money and the worst experience to date with a so called 'customer service' department.

I bought a Cuisinart TOA-60 Air Fryer Toaster Oven for my wife in Dec 18 and it has yet to heat correctly. Over the last 2 to 3 weeks, via the Cuisinart website, I have twice written them about the problem and have had no response. Also, my email direct to their customer service has gone unanswered. The problem is that it heats about 75 degrees hotter than the dial setting. Of course this burns the food. This is my first experience with Cuisinart and likely my last. I do not recommend this product nor do I recommend Cuisinart due to their dismal customer service.

This one allows me to turn it off. Very smart for Cuisinart! I got the Stainless & Copper model and it looks beautiful in my kitchen. Took everything out, notice a that I need to order a part because the Emperador was cracked. There is no customer service phone number to call and speak with a human, you have to send a contact form. I sent the model#, but I didn't see a SN# nowhere on the machine or box. They wrote several emails back asking the same question over and over again for a SN#/Model. I originally contacted Cuisinart about this, but they have referred me to Best Brands. Just before Thanksgiving 2018, I purchased one of your oven mitts at my local retailer. After less than 2 months of use, your oven mitt has split between the thumb and index finger. Please see pictures attached. This caused my hand to be burned when I pulled a pizza pan out of my oven for my family. I purchased a Cuisinart item because of the long term history and quality of your company and its products. It is now obvious to me that Cuisinart has chosen to farm out its items to a company that produces poor quality. I will now think twice before I purchase another Cuisinart item. It's a shame that a quality company such as Cuisinart is now selling poorly made products to its loyal customers!!

My new Cuisinart coffee pot broke. I registered this product when I first purchased. I understand products break however I'm unable to get a hold of the customer service or warranty department. It's been 4 days. I called and got a recording that the customer service department had a high call volume. I was encouraged by the recording to email the customer service department and I would hear from someone within 24 hours. I emailed and did not hear from anyone. I called again, same recording, I sent another email.
I'm on day 4, no response and I'm receiving the same recording when I call. I stayed on hold for an hour one day. No one picked up. I'm not sure what direction to turn in next, except to purchase a coffee pot from another company which seems to be a waste of my money since I have a warranty on the coffee pot I just purchased. Either this company really does have a high volume of calls and inquiries (which is a concern) or they just don't care about those who spent money on their product only to be ignored. Very frustrated!!!

My food processor has a 3 year warranty. In the past year and a few months that I have had it, the bowl and cover and insert have broken 3 times. I called the company in late 2017 and I paid for a new cover. Service was slow. For 4 months now I have called customer service and was on hold for 2 hours, finally hung up. 5 or 6 emails to not only the U. S. email address, but also Canada thinking they might care about their company...no response. Maybe we should all file complaints to our respective attorney generals in our states. They need to be fined for failure to fulfill warranty claims and not answering calls or emails about their defective blades. THAT is a dangerous issue. Of course, we have to remember we are dealing with the Chinese here so it is no surprise...or shouldn't be. My advice to all of you in cooking land...DO NOT buy Cuisinart!!!

We have owned two Cuisinart food processors and both have failed due to broken working bowl covers. In both cases, the cover piece that connects between the cover and bowl allows the processor to rotate at speed. If this connection is not made, the motor will not operate. I have contacted Cuisinart about replacing them (beyond 2 yrs old), however customer service wants to charge me for the cover (out of warranty) and at the same time will provide a new bowl and "pusher" at no charge. I don't need a new bowl or pusher, I need a warranty on this critical plastic piece so that I don't spend an additional $30 every two years. Bottom-line I will not be purchasing any more Cuisinart products.

Original review: I purchased this mixer from Sam's Club and only lightly used it for 4 months. While mixing mashed potatoes for THANKSGIVING. The left beater quit spinning and it started making a strange noise. Turns out the gear had stripped inside the mixer itself. I called Cuisinart Warranty department and explained the situation and received an apology, along with an expected replacement to be received in 10 business days.
Today is December 21... Called Cuisinart Warranty department to see why I had not received my replacement. Cuisinart Warranty department says to me that the warehouse has stopped shipping anything until January 2nd and they have no control over their policy. So first off I was lied to being told I would receive a replacement in 10 days, and secondly I am left without a mixer to make Christmas dinner. THANK YOU Cuisinart. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS AGAIN! When you are out of business...be sure to look back regrettably...knowing the mistakes that you have made!!

I generally like my Cuisinart toaster ovens even though they don't last that long. The most recent one I have has been working fine till 6 months ago when the bottom rear heater element started bending upwards due to the heat. It is now just touching the lower baking rack. As the the product warranty has expired (2 couple of years), Cuisinart will do nothing to replace the unit, only to acknowledge that the bent element is an abnormal occurrence. Unfortunately, there is nothing else I could do but to replace the toaster oven.

I’ve had this pot along with others in the set for several years now. The other day I accidentally allowed a pot to boil dry for only a few seconds. It was on medium heat on my ceramic cooktop. I immediately removed it and cooled it with water. The bottom of the pot actually blistered! It no longer sits flat and I don't feel comfortable using it again. I contacted Cuisinart to ask if the lifetime warranty would cover this. They said NO, only manufacturers defects are covered. If this isn’t a material defect I’m not sure what they would cover... but they certainly made no offer to replace it. After I told them I would share my now low opinion of the quality they said they may reconsider replacing it but I would have to pay for shipping! My view of Cuisinart just slipped several notches.

Simply put, do not buy this. You will regret it. I don’t know how this has a 4.5 star rating on their site. Had mine less than a year before it completely stopped working. Power light won’t even come on. Prior to that it was unreliable. Requires descaling an average of once a month but since there’s no warning light, it frequently just stops working and it takes about 10 run-throughs before it starts working. In the meantime, you waste untold numbers of coffee pods. Construction is also very flimsy compared to earlier models. I’ve switched to Keurig after this.
