I just had the most horrible experience with Cuisinart customer service! OMG. I received a “beautiful” coffee maker for a gift and upon opening found a crack in the coffee carafe. The customer service agent refused to send a replacement rather giving me the model number to purchase a new one myself? I asked to speak with a manager and was not so nicely told the manager would not speak with me and simply tell the customer service individual to tell me the same thing he already told me…”here is the model number and you can order it online”! What? I will be sure to tell everyone I know never invest money in cuisinart products as the company is NOT consumer friendly. Wow!

Twin oak pellet and gas grill. Worst grill I’ve ever owned. Cuisinart subcontracts the grill manufacturer and customer service to a 3rd party. Lousy quality. I’ve had 3 warranty claims in 2 years. The body is deteriorating. The electronic control went out. The design is deeply flawed in that the pellet side does nothing to add real smoke flavor because the few pellets needed to reach 200* is so small that no is added. Really lousy customer service rounds it all out. Cuisinart used to mean quality. Don’t waste your money. If anything goes wrong you will be ignored.

My comment is less about the product than about the customer experience of purchasing direct from Cuisinart's website. After our former 3 quart pot started leaking through the base weld, we opted to purchase a new one. I selected a level up without the weld and thought - based on the website photo - that it was the same size. When we received it, it was taller and narrower, making it unsuitable for our needs. Upon reaching out to customer service and explaining, I was spoken down to and told they would consider my request to waive return fee via a ‘referral.’ I was to hear back in 3-5 days. Week passes with no response, so I call back. Told - there’s no response, so that probably means it was denied. Asked to speak to a manager, ‘you can submit a referral, and someone will call back in 1-2 days.’ Sure. Anti-customer start to finish. Would not recommend doing business direct.

I’m horrified to find so many reviews going back over a decade of EXACTLY what happened to my Cuisinart coffee maker this morning! Keep in mind we’ve also had this machine for less than a year—it was a wedding gift purchased through Theknot, so I’m not even sure we’ll have luck getting anything out of the warranty which is maddening. I brewed a pot of coffee, poured myself a cup (about 5c left in pot on warmer), went to collect/take the trash out and came back inside about 10-15 min later to hear loud gurgling and sputtering.

Before I even got to the kitchen I smelled electrical/plastic burning and when I got there the coffee maker was smoking from the warming plate AND the inside of the coffee maker. I unplugged it and took it outside but it didn’t stop gurgling and smoking for a while. The burner got so hot it started peeling. I don’t even want to think about what could have happened if I had been gone longer with our dog left inside. THESE NEED TO BE RECALLED. Why are so many of these issues specifically with 12c models?? An EXPENSIVE machine down the drain but thankful we didn’t also lose our HOUSE AND DOG!!

Thank you customer service for Cuisinart. Your products work very well and through wear and tear. I learned online that if you chip a dutch oven on the inside it is now unsafe for future use. I was very disappointed by this but learned the maker usually replaced it for free. That was incredible news and now brightened my day even more when it was true calling the customer review number provided. Thank again I just wanted to share how this made my day more delightful.

This toaster toasts one side more than the other and you have to turn it over and toast the other side. I set it at a high number and one side ends up perfect and the other side is not as toasted. Then I must turn over the bread and toast the other side.

Why you felt the need to individually package each knife and then repackage it again. Makes no sense. I am bleeding from both of my hands and I still have not gotten the package open. We bought this coffeemaker less than 5 months ago. We noticed that it was ruining our counter top because there is a lot of rust build up under the coffee maker. No, problem, I thought, there is this great 3 year warranty that Cuisinart has, let me call them and have them replace it. Wrong. Rust apparently is not covered under the warranty. Why would it be, a coffeemaker will never come into contact with water will it? We had another, similar, Cuisinart Coffee Maker and it lasted for 10 years w/o a single spec of rust. Do not buy this or any other product from Cuisinart.

Bought a handheld mixer, February 1, 2020. It stopped working two years afterwards. Beaters kept falling out. Inside mixer. Had shaky parts. I only use this during the holidays. Very little use. Called Cuisinart 5/23/2023 after totally frustrated with the product. The first person was fabulous and listen to my handmixer as I turned it on and off. He told me the product would be covered and a new one would be sent. Received several emails after that wanting proof of purchase. Sent them all the information. Never heard back from them. Just got off the phone with them, and told that it was beyond a three-year warranty. Do not buy this mixer. It will not last!. It should’ve been replaced three months after the warranty expired.

I use all Cuisinart items.. Long story short my Aunt gave me a new pizzelle maker two years ago. Just recently it stopped working and smelled bad like it was burning. Priscilla from customer service was extremely rude and told me completely different things than another rep said. I kept getting different answers. Since it was a gift I didn’t have a receipt. They made me cut the cord and take a photo then proceeded to tell me the unit was out of warranty period. Even though their warranty is longer than 2 years . Well I’m done. The machine probably cost them 5$ to make and to keep a customer. They chose not to send me a new one. NEVER AGAIN. THEY LOST MY BUSINESS…. Buyer Beware.

I have had three coffee makers from this company. The first was great and lasted over 15 years. The second was great also until the grinder quit working. Cuisinart replaced it under goodwill with this one, thanks Cuisinart. Unfortunately I am not all that happy with it as it has a thermos for only ten cups when the reservoir holds 12 and although I have the strength set at bold the coffee comes out a little weak, but the main issue I have is that the thermos doesn’t hold the heat. 30 minutes after the coffee is made and when I go for the second cup, the coffee is lukewarm. The other two coffee makers I had the thermos’ held the heat for at least three hours. Other than those two things the coffee maker is very good. But because of these two things I could have bought a 100 dollar machine that would have been just as good.

This may seem petty but I needed a new Toaster so did some research and concluded that a Cuisinart 2 Slice Toaster looked perfect. Before I ordered one, I checked to see where Cuisinart was located and GOOGLE revealed they were in Stamford Connecticut, I buy nothing from ANY Californian company or business. I am in New York so figured I 'd have the toaster fairly quickly and subsequently placed an order for one through the Cuisinart website on the 20th of Jan 23. On the 21st Jan I received an email telling me my order had shipped - well, a packaging label for UPS had been made. I checked the tracking details to find out when it would be delivered to see that it was in a place called "Goodyear AZ" - a long way from Stamford Connecticut!

As a result of that, I emailed Cuisinart to find out why the order was in AZ when they were supposed to be in Connecticut. The reply I got was they weren't in Connecticut but a city very very close to Goodyear AZ - Glendale AZ. The email also stated that MY order was shipped from their New Jersey Warehouse. Because of that revelation, I replied asking why on earth the order was in AZ if it was shipped from New Jersey. As of this review, and a second email to Cuisinart to try to find out what was happening, I have heard nothing, which seems to be the standard operating procedure for Cuisinart if you question them OR even ask questions.

In short - how can you trust a company that doesn't even know where they shipped orders from and who can't be bothered replying to customers issues? You can't, and shouldn't. IF you want Cuisinart stuff - buy it from a shop, at least you will know that you will get it. Better still, buy a different brand, there are LOTS out there.

I ordered a part from Cuisinart and payment was made on 12/03/2022 and on 12/04/2022 I received a tracking number displaying "shipping label created". Appx 2 weeks after receiving that notification I reached out to them because the status of the shipment had not changed and UPS had still not received the package. The first person I spoke with told me that my order had been cancelled by myself the day prior, however no phone call was made and my records indicated the same. I made her aware of this and she had very little to say to me beyond that. I called back right after and the person I got ahold of made me aware that it was not cancelled but that instead notes had been made upon my order that were very strange and were not something she had seen before. Before the call ended she made me aware that a manager was to reach out to me in the coming days however no one ever contacted me.

On 12/20 I reached out to them by email once more and they never responded. I then took it upon myself to see if anyone else had experienced the same thing I was going through and sure enough many other consumers described a similar experience with Cuisinart parts. They had like me made Cuisinart aware of their predatory practice of listing things as in stock but when an order was placed nothing was ever sent out. Since my last inquiry into the status of my order one person had responded but went dark after one email. It is currently 1/14/2023 and the product still has not shipped, a month after I had paid for the product with the expectation it would be shipped within 5-7 business days per Cuisinart's own website and I suspect it may never come.

The internet said the arrival date was four days after the order which was going to work for me. But the blade never arrived for the weekend and 7 days later it still hasn't arrived. Customer service did not realize that the internet was giving the customers arrival dates. They had no power to reduce the price of the product or to stop the delivery of the product. I spoke to two customer service agents because the while the first (unfortunately rude) agent put me on hold, we were disconnected.

Basically the learning is, Cuisinart is not a company to rely or trust. I have enjoyed the food processor for years. It is a shame that the company doesn't value their customers. Today, after opening my mixer to use ... which I can't use due to a manufacturing defect. I now realize it seems to be an ongoing issue that your company isn't doing anything about. Selling defective products deems to be the way of the world for you. I will not be buying any more Cuisinart products and will advise all my friends and family not to do so in the future. Your products are a very big disappointment! Teresa

I have not had any issues with this Cuisinart Microwave. The turntable is very reliable, just be sure it is placed correctly on the rollers, or it will not rotate. Is easy to clean, suggest putting a cup of water and heat. This will make it easier to remove any food that has splattered on the sides, or top of the inside. The outside is metal, also easy to keep clean, be sure to locate in area that microwave has room on all sides that are not touching for good ventilation.

I bought an air fryer toaster oven from Cuisinart. Its baking feature does not work great but overall I was satisfied with the product till it lasted which was less than a year. In about 7 months, the toaster option stopped working. Then 2 months later the product stopped working altogether. Cuisinart claims that it will provide 3 years warranty to the product. However when I called their warranty, I was told that since I did not unplug the product after every use they are going to count it as incorrect usage of the product and not cover it under warranty. Cuisinart's warranty works like an insurance provider that finds ways to invalidate the warranty and blame the customer for the breakdown of the product.

The last 2 times I have fried 2 eggs in this skillet with canola oil the eggs have stuck so Bad that I had to put dish washing soap in it and allow it to soak overnight just to remove the pieces of stuck eggs. Sent Cuisinart an Email stating the above problem, and was told to take 2 or 3 exact pictures showing stuck eggs and send to Cuisinart. I emailed them back and suggested they do some of the work to help me, since my age 73, does not allow me to do a lot anymore for various health reason's, Cuisinart's response ---was too bad, do it their way or shut-up. My point just be careful purchasing anything with Cuisinart on it, cause they are Rotten.

TOA-60 Cuisinart AirFryer Oven. I needed a small countertop oven when I moved into a retirement center. My requirements were that I could fit a 12 inch pizza in it, that I could bake bread in a loaf pan, it was in my price range (living on social security). I looked online at all the available options and chose the Cuisinart TOA-60 AirFryer Toaster Oven. When the oven arrived I plugged it in, placed an oven thermometer inside, and set the temperature to 350 degrees. I waited for the temperature to level at 350 degrees but it never did. The temperature kept going up! I tried all the different settings and the temperature would never hold steady. A steady temperature is needed to bake.

I called Cuisinart and explained the problem and they sent me another oven. When it was here I plugged it in and repeated the temperature check. The temp was not holding at a steady rate. It seemed as if there was no thermostat at all. It would just keep getting hotter. Once again I called Cuisinart and they politely said they would send me another one. I asked the representative if I could get a refund and she explained they wouldn’t do that but could issue credit towards another Cuisinart product. I told her I really needed an oven that would work and the odds were not in favor of the next oven working either. She said they would send me another one or issue credit with no other options. I said alright then, send another oven.

They did send another one and it has the same problems as the others. I looked online and saw that other people had the same problem with the same problem. I’m not sure what the statistics are, but a large percentage of people have had this issue and it seems wrong that Cuisinart hasn’t dealt with it or that at least they should offer a refund. I’m very disappointed with Cuisinart.

The first one developed a leak in the heating coil but was just out of warranty so Cuisinart did not do anything for me. I bought a second one because I figured the first one was just a fluke. NOPE,,, The next one leaked in the exact same manner as the first and after the warranty expired. Searching the internet the first time there have been other customers complaining about the same problem. I would have hoped Cuisinart would have rectified the problem but apparently not. Such a shame because I loved the grind and brew convenience. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. This time a bought a Moccamaster made in the Netherlands. I am hoping that it lasts as long as they say it will. It makes an excellent cup of coffee, much better that Cuisinart. Time will tell.

The surface is non-stick, but I find I can brown in it. It is perfect for an omelet, or scrambled eggs as well. It is really a multi use pan. As I said, it is not a wimpy pan, but it is not so heavy as to be challenging to use.

I purchased the largest size Cuisinart food processor. As a food processor, it works fine, however, within only two years, the plastic bowl and parts cracked, splintered, and chipped. My husband jerry-rigged it so we could get it to work, if we were both present, but it was a 2-person job. I believe that for the money we paid for this, it should've lasted much, much longer. The replacement parts are outrageous. I would not make this purchase again. The older Cuisinarts had glass bowls, and were made to last a long time. This was hugely overpriced. I had a cheap, little Hamilton Beach food processor that lasted over 30 years before it broke. My expensive Cuisinart lasted less than two years. I also purchased a Cuisinart waffle maker (before the food processor bit the dust). It works okay, but the waffles do not cook evenly. I think this brand is overrated.

After the pot was finished brewing, it made a popping sound. The sound was much like the noise it makes if there is moisture on the bottom of the glass server, but much louder. The machine started smoking and filled the kitchen with burnt electrical smell. The whole machine was smoking and you could tell there was a fire starting inside of it. I rushed it out to the patio where it took about 7 minutes for it to stop smoking. Good thing I was home.

After an Internet search, it appears this is NOT an isolated occurrence (consumeraffairs.com). Kudos to Amazon for giving me the option of going through Cuisinart company for the warranty OR returning it to Amazon for full refund. This is to notify anyone that has purchased a DC-1100/BK coffeemaker that they check the bottom of their heating plate for corrosion. You must turn the coffeemaker over to find this out. We clean the top of our heating plate with a wet paper towel only per the instruction manual. Granted that our machine is now 5 years old, but I really don't know when the corrosion started. All I can is that we looked at the bottom our coffeemaker yesterday and it disintegrated in my hands. There was nothing left except for flakes of corrosion. I am assuming that this is a fire hazard.

I called Consumer Affairs at Cuisinart and asked if any recall has been issued on this model and they said no. I told them I didn't want to go buy another machine like this one unless they have fixed this problem. The representative was very helpful and said that this part has not been re-engineered so they obviously "don't know" there is a problem with it.

My complaint alone won't help this situation. If we want them to do a recall of this part on this coffee maker then the consumer should provide documentation - purchase date and proof of purchase, and description of problem (I suggest a picture of the problem also). You can call (800) 726-6247 and ask for Consumer Affairs. I hope that others call so that they fix this problem. I am very grateful that I checked this yesterday because not having a solid base on the bottom of the machine could have started a fire.

The product did not arrive after ten days or so; I called back and learned that the order had not been fully processed. After the product arrived, it didn't fit the machine - despite the fact that I had carefully verified the product model and serial number before confirming the order. When I called Cuisinart on Monday 03 June to report the problem and get instructions for how to return the incorrect product, the representative reported that Cuisinart's "system" was inoperative. I was advised to call the next day. I also called the Conair Corporation's non-toll-free number, which was listed on the product packing slip to see if I could return the product directly. No: I could only do so by contacting Cuisinart.

Predictably, I couldn't resolve my problem because the "system" was undergoing an "upgrade." Really? What kind of company expects to sell its products when it can't even maintain an inventory management system or get it up and running after 48 hours? Shoddy and shameful. It was completely covered in rust. Apparently this company knows a problem exist from all the reviews from customers who have the same problem with their machines. The plastic tubing inside is defective. It cracks or a pin hole ends up being the problem. I tried some water tight sealant over the crack and that worked for about 3 weeks and it started up again. Never did get it to stop leaking.

The 2nd machine did the same thing - leaking - bottom plate was rusted. This plastic tube leaking was farther up inside the machine where I could not get it too. Also both of these machines started making a noise, sound like a grinding noise from when the water is being pulled in from water tank area. What I found out is the so called water pump motor is the issue. After a few yrs the noise got louder and louder. Did not need a alarm clock anymore. 5 am and the echo thru the house from the auto timer of the coffee machine, the grinding noise started up. The only thing that still works without a hitch is the automatic bean grinder with the machine. I still the grind part for the basic drip coffee machine now.

2nd defective lid on Cuisinart Pro Custom 11" ( DLC 8) - I seldom use a food processor, but when the recall for the blade was issued I took it out to inspect the blade to see if it was in the recall. After removing the blade I replace the lid and the plastic piece on the lid that depresses the plunger on the rear of the bowl snapped off rendering it inoperative. When calling in the recall for the blade, I ordered a replacement lid for about $34.00. That took me about 2 hours on the telephone. The replacement blades arrived about a month later, and the lid didn't arrive until about about a month after the blade... Approximately 8 weeks for delivery of a purchased item.

Once the lid arrived I unpacked it and briefly tested it on the processor for fit and function. Everything seemed to be correct. The next time I go to actually use it it won't start. A cursory inspection shows that the plastic piece on the lid that depresses the plunger (the same piece that broke off on the original lid) is bent to where it doesn't contact the plunger sufficiently to operate the switch for the motor. Apparently they replace a component that was so brittle that it breaks after use with a component that is so malleable that it deforms the first on the first or second use.

Another call to Cuisinart warranty and after about a half hour they are able to find my purchase of the lid in their system. They are sending a replacement, claiming it will arrive in 8 to 10 days... And I was informed that they want me to send the defective part to some place in Arizona but they are not going pay for the return shipping. Really??? The customer agent I spoke to on the phone was polite and as helpful as possible. But their product is flawed, their customer service is understaffed and their return policy that requires the owner of a defective product not only be inconvenienced but pay for a return of a defective item is ludicrous.

When we went to assemble the machine with the portafilter had mold on it and was clearly an old machine which we were beyond disgusted with!! We have emailed Cuisinart consumer & customer service which we received one response after a few days asking questions which we already provided in our initial email! We are seriously disgusted with the lack of service or care for their product, I am not sure how any company would want their customer service to run that way. If this isn’t a material defect I’m not sure what they would cover... but they certainly made no offer to replace it. Power light won’t even come on. Prior to that it was unreliable. Requires descaling an average of once a month but since there’s no warning light, it frequently just stops working and it takes about 10 run-throughs before it starts working. In the meantime, you waste untold numbers of coffee pods. Construction is also very flimsy compared to earlier models. I’ve switched to Keurig after this.

I first thought the program function wasn't working; my husband read all the instructions and figured out how to program it, so that was no issue - also: customer support was very helpful, saying they would send out a new machine immediately; all I had to do was cut the electrical cord of the one had had and send the cord back to the company.

But now the brewer has taken to pooling in the coffee filter and not draining down. Maybe this is because the grind is too fine but I had no such problems with my old Cuisinart models. This thing is just too finicky and difficult. I don't want to get a brand-new coffee-grinder, adding money to money already spent. I'd avoid this in future. TLDR: Cuisinart is a scam & don't expect them to honor any warranty. Cuisinart seems like a great company to buy cookware from because of their slightly reasonable prices. However, if your product is defective and breaks, don't expect them to hold up to their warranties. I bought a $30 Cuisinart coffee grinder one time. The motor inside started burning after 5 seconds of grinding coffee so I called customer service. They told me that I would need to pay to ship it back, have it be evaluated, and then I would be notified [it was defective on their part & I got a new grinder].

Based on this experience, I thought they would be good with more expensive items so I tried to get my pans replaced after sending in photos of an egg cooking, sticking, and burning to each pan (yes, customer service told me to do this). Customer service told me that sending in photos of the bottom plus an egg burning to the pan would be enough to prove my case. When I finally got a reply from Cuisinart, the representative told me that I would have to ship all 13 pieces out from the Midwest to Connecticut plus $15 check for them to return the items on priority level. I told Cuisinart that it's pointless for me to spend $100 on shipping 30lbs of cookware when I can buy a generic set for slightly more since there was no guarantee they would even cover the warranty. Just buy any other brand besides Cuisinart.

New carbon filters less than half the recommended time, even though twice filtered water was used. Once through the main water inlet and the refrigerator itself. Would always ask for a cleaning after 2-3 pots of coffee. Soon, it was almost every pot it would ask for a cleaning. Now, it won't percolate at all. The element is hot, the filter is new, the trap is clean, the tank is free from debris and drains properly. The lid is secure and functioning properly.

This morning, tried to brew a 1/2 pot before work, and the water remained in the tank. Attempted to troubleshoot to make sure everything was in place as usual. Still nothing. Tried another cleaning with distilled vinegar and water after removing the filter, nothing. Water still sitting in the tank. So, can't clean, or brew. This coffee pot gets used maybe once every day or so. For the price, maintenance and filters to keep things clean, it shouldn't have issues this easily. A cheap $20 coffee pot lasts other people a decade, this one barely a year with minimal use. Not happy at all with how much effort needs to be put forward with such little use.

I could easily leave off this piece entirely and have a working food processor were it not for that, so I'm quite unhappy to start that this required piece breaks easily. This is after I've already gone through the blade recall, where I waited the better part of a year to receive that replacement part.

I ordered the part on Feb. 1, 2018. It's now Feb. 14 and the order is still "processing" (but my card has evidently been charged). I sent an email on Feb. 10 asking what "processing" meant and for clarification on when this would ship, using the email listed in the order confirmation. I received back a clearly automated note about checking online for recall status - something that happened back in 2016 and had no application whatsoever to my situation; if I had another query, I should contact a different email. I tried that email immediately. This was Feb. 10, explaining the situation and the non-response from the web store. I've heard nothing. I wrote again on Feb. 13 and have still heard nothing. I guess I'm supposed to make a phone call, spend time on hold, all undoubtedly to be told it was, um, processing.

Two weeks on a web store order is excessive, particularly with no update or other status information. It's particularly galling when the construction of the food processor means that if anything in the Rube Goldberg connections goes bad, the whole thing can't be used - and even more so when the quality seems to not be the best.

This is my second Cuisinart food processor; one I had to give away during a move. I have Cuisinart cookware, Cuisinart toaster, various gadgets, and previously had a Cuisinart coffee maker (which lasted less time than the $16.99 one I picked up at Aldi's as an emergency replacement). As I mentioned, I suffered through the giant backlog during the recall; I put that claim in the first week it was announced in December and did not receive the part until June 20, 2017, so I've had a working food processor for less than a year before something else goes.

I thought I was being maybe silly and expecting quicker service (as I would normally expect from a web store), but looking at other complaints, it seems I'm not alone. I won't be buying another Cuisinart product. I bought a fancy $399 food processor that's, yes, nine years old, but has spent the past two years mostly out of commission, none my fault. [The coffee maker didn't last the warranty period, but wasn't worth the hassle.] I'm angry and disgusted that their usual customer service routine is apparently to ignore people until the person gives up. From everything I've seen, the specialness of Cuisinart as a higher-end product went away once they were purchased by Conair. Never again.

I accidentally dropped the cover of my Cuisinart food processor breaking off the locking tab that allows the processor to work. I ordered a replacement cover from Cuisinart on December 8, 2017. I heard nothing so on Dec 27 called to find the status of my order and was told the part was on back order. I contacted Cuisinart by email on Feb 1, 2018 and was given the same excuse the part was on back order with no date for availability. I’m now stuck with a useless food processor. Looking at these comments apparently this is a common complaint.

12" Non-Stick Teflon Fry Pan Peeling - 6 months after I purchased my non stick fry pan the surface has started to bubble. I called Cuisinart on Jan 9th and was told to email pictures of the problem and back of the pan. My email was sent on Jan 10th with pictures. A week went by so I sent another email asking for status - no response. I called on Jan 24th because now the pan has peeled and is a health hazard. I was told it had not been reviewed yet. I asked for a supervisor, and was rudely told they would tell me the same thing, I said I still want a supervisor, and she cursed at me and put me on eternal hold.

I called back and was told by another rep to call again the following week because they were behind due to the holidays. I called again as instructed and this time I was told that it takes 20 work days to review the complaint. WHAAAT - this is a health hazard. I thought Cuisinart was a good company but now I will NOT purchase any more of their products and I will ensure I tell everyone I know not to purchase as well. This is just bad customer service!

My less than one year old machine loses power, just turns off, so I called customer service of which they said they will send a pickup, to box it, gave me a number to put on box, said UPS, will pick up. Well 4 phone calls and every day for 2 weeks taking out the package to be picked up, nothing has been picked up. When I call 4 calls so far... they allllll have different stories: 1. It takes 3 days. 2. It takes over 5 days keep putting out and in at night. 3. Warehouse is closed until 2 Jan, don't know why they didn't tell you. 4. I am looking at your record. Nothing was ordered to pick up!!! I wanted a supervisor, she rudely told me they would tell me the same thing, I said I still want a supervisor, she hung up... What kind of company you run? I am going to FB and letting everyone know, the company is awful.

New coffee maker failed after two weeks. Followed instructions, including supplying proof of purchase, and returned coffee maker at my cost ($37.04). Cuisinart has had this item for almost five weeks. They haven't shipped me a new coffee maker, can't seem to find out why, and I've been on hold for most of 40 minutes waiting for someone competent to address the matter competently. Never purchase a Cuisinart product.

I am on my third Cuisinart food processor. Number one, a Duck Egg FP16, intermittently would not switch on, until after four years of light use the motor gave out. UK customer service excellent and replacement sent out straight away. Number two was silver FP16 which had regular use (only pureeing homemade cooked soup). After almost four years this one had just been used, the base was switched Off but there was suddenly a horrible acrid plastic smell and smoke was coming from the base. It was hurriedly switched off at the mains and taken outside. The horrible smell remained throughout the following day! This one also replaced by return. Number three is now an FP14 as Cuisinart do not make the bigger 16 version anymore. It works but the lid seal leaks and soup runs down the outside of the bowl in spite of not putting more than .75 litres of liquid in it.

The lids on these processors are most difficult to clean. Bits of food get trapped in the handle although I have managed to prise the current one apart to clean it out. Mould will eventually grow inside the lid at the top and is almost impossible to clean and dry properly - I even tried an electrostatic bath to no avail. My current solution is to leave lid and large and small feed tubes on top of my boiler overnight to dry out. This seems to be working at the moment. All three processors left 'bits' unprocessed that float around at the sides of the bowl. As soon as this one goes wrong I won't be replacing it with another Cuisinart. I would not recommend this make because of its bad design.

On October 30, 2017 I ordered a reservoir tank for our Cuisinart Coffee on Demand coffee maker. On 11/11 I emailed Cuisinart to inquire when the water tank would be shipped. Two days later I got an email saying that it was on backorder and they would be getting more in in 2-3 weeks. On 12/8, I sent another email to inquire when I might expect shipment of the tank. I got an automated email saying they had received my email and I could expect them to reply in 24-48 hours. I also tried calling them and sat on hold for half an hour.

Five days later, 12/13, I had not received a reply to my 2nd email, so I emailed and tried calling them again. Now, today, 80 days after first placing my order, I STILL have no word on when I might expect my water tank. I've read in other reviews that some people sat on hold for almost an hour before getting to talk to someone, so I thought I would try calling again. An hour and 40 minutes later, still no one to speak to. I will not be buying another Cuisinart product again because their customer service is the worst I have encountered in my 70 years on this planet.

My Cuisinart coffee maker broke after a few months. I called their customer service and waited on hold for close to an hour. Eventually I spoke to someone who said they would send a replacement. She instructed me to ship the defective product back to them and to include an invoice for the shipping cost which they would reimburse. The replacement coffee maker arrived and I shipped the old one back with the shipping invoice. Several weeks have gone by but the promised reimbursement hasn't arrived. I've emailed Cuisinart customer service twice but they have not responded. I dread the idea of calling and spending another hour on hold, which should not be necessary.

The lid to my food processor broke in August of 2017. I ordered a new lid and by the end of September the order was still processing. I emailed the company and was told that the lid was on back order and would not be available for two to three weeks. On November 4th after still not receiving my lid I emailed again. They did not respond in the time frame that they set (24-48 hrs) so I called them and a very nice young man explained that I called the wrong department and gave me the correct number. I called and the agent told me that the part had come in and I had not received one and that the part is again on back order and it would be two to three weeks!!

In the process she gave me the name of another company that could fill my order. I looked at the other company's website and learned that my lid had been discontinued and that the new lid would not fit my bowl. I will need to also need to order a new one, and a new pusher as well. The total for this purchase is over $120.00! A whole new machine costs $190.00! My real concern is that Cuisinart at no time told me this was a problem and I found it easily on an outside website. They never once contacted me with updates. I had to contact them. I am now waiting for a phone call from them that I requested on Sat November 11th that was supposed to take 48 hrs. I am extremely frustrated with the customer service of this company.

I do like Cuisinart coffee makers for their strong hot coffee, but this DCC-2800 coffee maker is not one of them. The lid design is very bad, two small plastic molded pins with springs is ready to broke at any time. I had two of those coffee makers, and in both cases those pins did not survive 12 months. Cuisinart refused to replace the last one (their 3 years warranty is one-time courtesy replacement, and you need to send the broken unit back).
