This product offers additional pieces that effortlessly fit together, allowing you to maximize and organize your space with ease. Its versatility is truly remarkable, and I personally adore it. My closets in every room have been transformed thanks to this ingenious closet organizer. Assembling it was an absolute breeze, requiring minimal effort on my part. It practically assembles itself! Just connect a few pieces, and voilà, you're done. It couldn't be any simpler, I assure you. Plus, it comes at a very affordable price point. After thorough research, I can confidently say that this product offers the best value. It's user-friendly, reasonably priced, and I can't help but fall in love with it. Not only is it incredibly sturdy and durable, but it can also accommodate a substantial amount of items without any concerns about it falling apart or breaking. While it may not support extremely heavy objects, its overall strength and resilience are exceptional.
My builder installed the ventilated ClosetMaid shelving when I had my house built. The other day I bumped into the shelf support pole. Three of the little plastic clips broke off. I contacted Customer Service to find out how I could get three of these little plastic clips. The customer service rep was essentially worthless, and I still have shelves hanging by the wall supports, as I can't get what I need through ClosetMaid.
Three little clips, probably cost them a quarter to make. I even offered to pay for the clips. I asked for the part number, in case it was available somewhere online. The rep wouldn't even supply me that. Said the clips are only available with the pole. Okay, fine, what's the part number for my item, wouldn't even give me that. Pretty bad when a large company can't even give you the ability to buy three little plastic clips. My entire closet shelving system is compromised and worthless now. Thanks rude customer service person for not even attempting to go the extra mile to help a customer!!

I was able to purchase product at Lowe's so delivery was not an issue but surprised how expensive it was for a 6 foot shelf with clips and brackets. The clips are way too small for the shelf to fit into without applying a tremendous amount of force downwards resulting in the mounted clip to break the surrounding drywall. The push pin clip is a terrible design for achieving any strength into drywall. So an easy job turned into a nightmare. In order to fix the job I pried each pin out, removed the clip, filed each clip to make a larger groove to receive shelf bar and reinstall new anchors (extra purchase and time). My first mistake was not reading other reviews posted over 2 years ago with same issues. STAY FAR AWAY FROM CLOSETMAID.
1. The outside of the box does not mention that the wall anchors are included so I bought and returned some.
3. There is no guidance on height to install the rack holding struts or of the drop for hanging bars from the shelf to enable clearance of two-tier shelves from the floor or each other.
I purchased (2) 6 foot closet shelves. One of the boxes was partly opened and missing the brackets and other parts needed to assemble the shelf. I was having my basement remodeled so I had no time to send it back and wait on a new one. I had to go to Home Depot to purchase the missing pieces. I end up paying $40 which is more than I paid for the shelf that was suppose to include these parts. I reached out to ClosetMaid to ask to be reimbursed or refunded. They told me there was nothing they could do but send me the missing parts which I now have no need for. They don't care about consumer satisfaction at all. I won't be purchasing their products again.
On 9/30/21, I ordered shelving thought to be missing from an order. On 10/1 the shelves were located and the order cancelled by phone. On 10/7, I was charged for the order and it was received the next day. I called to let them know this was cancelled ONE WEEK prior to shipping. I was assured a refund would be issued and a label sent to return the item. So far, 11/10/21, nothing but phone calls and emails from me with NO response or resolution other than empty promises. Due to at least 3 incompetent employees, they have my money and are ignoring all attempts at correspondence. Pitiful, they used to be a reputable company. Please shop elsewhere. 11/11/21 UPDATE: Wrote one more time, threatened Consumer Affairs, the refund is now pending my account.
Like so many other reviews (that I should have paid attention to), this company will keep you in the dark about your order until one day you receive an email that your entire order (our case it was three closets worth) due to one item being out of stock. Customer service (Brittany) was no help and not the least empathetic to the situation. Definitely go with other companies out there.
I ordered on Nov 30th 2020. Website would not take discount code so had to call in order. On Dec 10th I requested an order shipping update as I had not heard from ClosetMaid. I received a response saying orders take two weeks to ship. Today on the 11th I just received an email saying they canceled my order. While on the website reordering I found list prices had increased on one of my ordered items. Decided to research and read reviews and now have decided not to reorder. They have problems I don't need. Lol.
The entire thing fell apart as I was constructing it. Cams don't meet, bolts not long enough, leg tacks came open, and legs fell off while hammering back on. It was a waste of $100! Don't waste money!
Just received 400+ lb shipment of my reach-in “premier” closet. When ordering, I used the design tool, entering the closet dimensions... My measurements were absolutely accurate. Based on the submitted dimensions, ClosetMaid offered several options and I chose one. Total cost: over $1400. It took 2 hours just to unbox the components. I have now assembled the cabinet frame and put it in place. There is no way that the unit as pictured will fit in the space— not even close! I just went back to the design tool just to make sure I entered the correct dimensions. I did. I remeasured and resubmitted the dimensions and the program generated the same options.
I have not yet tried contacting ClosetMaid about the issue. Clearly, the design tool generates pictures that have absolutely no connection to reality. I am definitely not making a mistake. The design offered would need at least another 18” to fit minimally (over 20% more space than I have)... And that would still come far short of the design as pictured by ClosetMaid. What a huge disappointment this is. How can this company do something this incompetent?... So much time and energy wasted. Ugggh.
