The claim system was very easy to use and a company responded quickly with a date and time span of arrival. A company name and contact information was given for any concerns I may have with the claim work scheduled to be completed. The date of service was changed to an earlier date for my convenience.

This is the 2nd time the technicians from this business have responded and resolved an issue expeditiously. Very thorough with their work and analysis of issues present. Their response time to work order only took a few hours which which was was greatly appreciated. Awesome job. I highly recommend their work and professionalism.

I had to wait a week to have my claim evaluated for a microwave oven that stopped working. I was originally told it would take 2 weeks before a technician would be able to evaluate the problem with my microwave. It was determined that it needed parts and the technician had to file a claim/report with the warranty company. Fortunately, they agreed to replace it. However, I have to wait for a gift certificate to help pay for a replacement. This is an over the range microwave. The service call was $85.00. I pay $45.00 a month for the plan. I was promised a gift certificate for $191.00 for a net of $61.00 to buy a microwave in this economy. I had to buy a countertop microwave while I wait. That cost $62.00. It makes you wonder if a warranty is really worth it.

AC not working and coil leaking. They arrived on time and were professional and had my best interest at heart. Jose sent videos and pictures back to you guys as you at first didn’t want to replace the coil. So I am somewhat disappointed in Choice not the AC company.

Good job except in some cases. Kitchen drain is not covered because of false information from the technician and case manager did not listen to customer. It is better to check if the assigned party did good job or not. Choice Home is good insurance but sometimes managers ruined the customer experiences.

But he charged me. $75 plus tax? Just To tell me he can't fix it. After Choice, sent the electrician prior that never showed up billed me $75 over phone to have choice tell me he canceled service contract with choice. After Waited almost a month and a 1/2. To then have choice tell me my claim has been denied. They're good at taking your money. They take advantage of senior Citizens. Totally disgusted. Make all my premiums on time. But when you need their help, you're denied. This company does not have your back. They have only your wallet. Avoid this company. Run away when you have a chance.

This is second visit by Simrel Plumbing for different repairs. This firm provides excellent service. They are prompt, knowledgeable and professional tradesmen. They take time to fully evaluate problem and make necessary repairs. They always leave a clean work place. Unlike other contractors they do not attempt to sell additional services.

Tim was my agent and worked exceptionally hard to get me the warranty that suits my budget! I contacted Choice Home Warranty about a problem I was having with my furnace and Choice sent a repair person to check on the problem. When the repair person told Choice what the problem was and how much it would cost Choice would not cover the cost of the repair. When I signed up with Choice I was told they would cover the cost of repairs or replace the damaged part. But now they will not do either. I see no reason why I should continue to pay for Choice Home warranty if they will not honor their agreement.

So far I can only review the young man Jesse that I spoke to on the phone to take out the policy. Pleasant. Answered all questions. I have had home warranty policies before and it is nice to have that piece of mind. Hopefully whenever I do need service I can give Choice a glowing report on service.

We haven't used the services, because we just joined, which was based a the referral. I was told that the person who referred me would also get one month free. The customer service agent was thorough and I was happy with him. He answered all of my questions and eased any of my concerns.

Dryer suddenly had no apparent power at all. Technician was dispatched in a fairly timely manner and arrived on time. After checking the dryer he determined that the problem may be with either the outlet or the breaker, and advised I have both checked, and that if that was not the issue, he would return.

Our furnace wasn't functioning properly (just as a cold snap came in) & Choice Warranty got us a qualified HVAC professional as expeditiously as possible. The HVAC person was courteous & polite--he fixed the problem in short order. We have contracted with Home Warranty for approximately seven years and have always been pleased with the quality professionals that have serviced our home.

I called in that my AC was not responding to the thermostat setting. Your tech found out that the compressor circuit breaker was tripped. I am hoping that there is nothing going on with the compressor to cause the breaker to trip. If the breaker trips again, then there is something going on with the AC unit.

Daniel ** was a very professional and respectful salesman for your company. He did not push or force a sale and allowed us time to reach back to him when we were ready to purchase our home warranty. He was also very informative on the company's promotions. Unfortunately, there was a downfall on your company's approach of selling your product. Other salespeople who called us continuously was annoying. We know that there is follow up from an original inquiry, but six follow up calls and communications was a little too much.

Our furnace went out in March and the technician that was sent out said the furnace needed to be replaced. Choice denied replacement and told the provider to simply replace the heat exchanger. The furnace was in April and part of May and then we were in the Spring/Summer months. When we turned on the unit on October 7 it would not start up. Contacted Choice again and they sent out a technician. The technician said the unit needed to be replaced and because of the force of the air the exchanger that was installed in March was now cracked. To replace that again then the same thing would happen.
Again Choice would not agreed to replacement and suggested that the exchanger be replaced again. On top of this they told us we would have to pay $520 for the shipping costs of the part and they would only pay $240 for the labor. The part itself would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Once again Choice failed us. This is it. We will not be renewing and will share with everyone we can about our experiences with them. They never want to pay.

I called to submit a claim and within five minutes of my call I got a email response acknowledging my claim and message that I would be notified as soon as a repair technician would arrive to fix the problem. I appreciate the quick response and am waiting for the technician to arrive.

Service technician arrived on 10/10/2023, as advised. However, the repair required that parts be ordered before completion. Technician advised that he would submit necessary order parts and return for completion of repairs. He also advised the repair parts was expected to arrived in about five (5) days. Charles

Plumber that came to fix dishwasher was on time, knowledgeable, communicated well, thorough and efficient. He was just awesome every step of the way!! Top 2 plumbers I have ever had and I'm pretty old. Lol Would recommend Choice Warranty. They seem to use great professionals. Could not understand her and when asked to transfer me she completely ignored me. She was sick sick sick and in my opinion, should not have been on the phone but in the hospital!!! I think she should not have been working and learns to listen to customers. This experience is not helping your image or helping with confidence in the company. She seemed more important point was the money to be asked for at the contact with service company being sent to my home. Seems very counterproductive to me.

We had a very good experience with Mira from First Class Air. Mira communicated with us to let us know what time he would arrive. He let us know the every step what was happening. He was thorough and a very nice young man. I would use him again for air conditioner repair.

We had a air-conditioning issue and I submitted the claim on a Sunday afternoon and within a couple of hours I was given an appointment by a technician the next day. You can’t beat service like that. The home warranty went in to affect just over a month ago and I’m glad we made the choice for the 3 1/2 year coverage.

It was brought to my attention that your company is the ONLY warranty company that requires photo proof of "bubbles" which my tech took and showed them to me-- then I get a call from the ac company saying your company wants more photos before any work is to be performed--- needless to say I'm not happy-- especially when getting out of hospital and coming to a HOT house-- please review the original photos taken by the tech and begin working on this problem--- thank you very much-- Diana **

My water bill was doubled last month. That is why I realized there must be a leaking. The technician found a leak in the toilet tank. He came twice as the first time fix did not really fix, but he came back in a few days to fix the leak in the toilet water tank completely.

I had a good experience talking with Michael for my initial enrollment in a plan. He was very helpful and did not do any pressuring. I hate when that happens. Time will tell on how satisfied I will be with the plan when I have to start using it. I don't have anything else to say at this time.

I submitted a claim for my garbage disposal that was not working. I got an immediate response and an appointment for the next day with a time frame. The plumber came out within that time frame and was able to fix it and got it working for me again. I would definitely recommend them.

Promax repairman found. Problem immediately and had needed part in his truck! He then ran dishwasher to make sure it worked. Upon reviewing the cycles, he noted water draining from an opening on top or sink. "This is wrong", he stated. Garbage disposal is installed incorrectly. He then fixed the problem in about 5 minutes. This is a reliable repairman! Fixing with parts rather than replacing. Preventing future problems with a keen eye and a pride in his knowledge.

This had to do with our AC in the middle of summer. The temperature was extremely high, and there was a child and an adult who had just had a serious surgery. Choice then allowed me to contact a plumber of my choice to work on the drainage issue the AC unit had. We were VERY grateful.

We are new customers with CHW, this is our first repair and we were hoping for a better experience. Getting set up for service call was quick and easy. But essentially our refrigerator is dead, and the parts to repair will cost $1100-which CHW quickly approved-required for parts to be ordered. And that was the end of information even though I've requested updates. Sears is the vendor and there is NO way to reach a human to find out the status. There is a chat function that is only repeating the wrong info-that a worker will come in another week to diagnose (done already), and then request CHW authorization (done already)!
I have confirmation of the approval-but Sears claims not to. I feel like CHW should be advocating on our behalf to get information to Sears and an update on whether parts have been ordered. Because in the meantime we have a large family living out of coolers, trying to salvage what we have, spending a small fortune on ice because we are in Hawaii and the weather is in the high 80s every day. And it is the weekend so no way to get any info-hoping CHW will help us on Monday. We left American Home Shield because of poor communication & lack of reliable customer service...This is feeling awfully similar! Hoping still for a good outcome, and strongly recommend that you ask for reviews AFTER a job is completed because I've got nothing good to say....

Don't recommend using this company at all. They deny everything. Or they make it impossible. They don't have somebody to come out to your location, so you use your own person and then they deny reimbursement because you don't follow their many, many rules. Look in to this company further before you purchase a plan.

Took almost week to find someone to repair and that only happened because I called Customer Service on 12 Oct. I got appointment the same day (between 4:15 and 8 PM). No one showed. I called Tech and he said did not get ok from you that it was ok to come out. I called you back on 13th and you let tech know ok to come out. Fixed the same day. I missed work function on the 12th that I wanted and planned to attend waiting on Tech.

Called Choice Home Warranty and made a claim for service on my heat pump. I was contacted by the company that would do the work. They texted me when the serviceman was on the way. He was professional, knowledgeable, and a nice guy. Got the job done quickly. Paid my small service charge and that was it. Love it!

For thermostat not getting the power supply I was able to submit the claim on Choice Home Warranty website. Tech was assigned to a local vendor and they showed up in a couple of days. They were able to resolve the issue quickly had a good experience overall. On the previous claim I had to cancel the claim as deck could not show up earlier.

The gentleman (Danny) who came to my home was very personable and professional. He explained everything which made me feel comfortable about what he was doing. I will continue to use his services outside of warranty work as well. Others looked at my system and almost cost me a lot of money as I was lead to believe that it was not repairable. I had water backup from drain in my basement and nobody seemed to care. Can barely understand anyone in customer service. I don't know what country they are even in!! I took a day off from work to sit and wait with no information of if or when I was being helped. I was told to look it up online and I did but no information!!! Very, very poor customer care.

CHOICE reacted promptly after I submitted an electronic inquiry that my water heater had stopped. They put my service need on their vendor help board right away. It’s been posted for a day now and it’s Friday night. We hope a plumber will respond over the weekend! I am aware that I could select my own plumber from an adjacent city but I cannot afford to pay and be reimbursed. Where is that billion dollar lottery winner when you need one?

The reason I chose Choice Home Warranty was their high approval rate. I was a little put off by their demonstration of eagerness to help me by immediate phone calls as I reviewed this several times to assure my husband this was the best choice. The number of items covered, as well as the cost, were both very reasonable. I chose to pay for the year in full in two monthly installments. I found the 27-page contract a little disconcerting. And it was there that for the first time I learned about the 30-day waiting period. Hopefully, I will not have any problems before then.

Our refrigerator's ice maker was malfunctioning. Our Choice Warranty sent A & E repair to our home. Within minutes the wonderful gentleman had fix the problem! He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, kind & explained what he was doing. This was the second time this Great company & the second repair person that has been used by Choice for us. I had a very severe issue with my AC unit this summer with temperatures at 118 your company did not provide great service. The tech did not show and when you finally got one he did not do the service. It was horrible I had to pay out of pocket $1800 because both my AC unit went down to a neighbor who helped me because I'm a Veteran. So I'm giving this company another opportunity.

They refused service on a 7 year old lighting fixture that became detached from the ceiling claiming it was due to 'installation defects' and not wear and tear (it's 7 years old!). My opinion is that this fixture is too hard to reach i.e. an expensive job and therefore declined. Why bother having a warranty if you can't depend on then to honor it!

CHW tried hard to honor the contract by assigning tech visits, but the first 2 Sears technicians assigned to work on our LG refrigerator were of no help. Sears apparently doesn’t repair LG appliances anymore! But the 3rd, H. T., Tetra Tech Master technician, was very knowledgeable, smart and helpful, diagnosing, submitting it to CHW for approval, advising me about the 10 yr LG warranty on its compressor on my 5+ yr old top-of-the-line fridge which LG had misled me to believe earlier that it was only 5 yrs and ordering the 3 parts from LG itself. Waiting for them to be shipped and the fridge to be fixed after being out for 3 1/2 weeks and all the food ruined.
The reps at CHW at the Call Centers were very polite and respectful, but gave contradictory info and had no clue about what was happening. In the meanwhile, I kept on getting wrong, automated, computer-generated texts and e-mails about the tech appts many times daily! The girls said they have no control over it. Many, many phone calls, emails and texts. Very frustrating!

I called for service on 10/11 and they have scheduled the technician to come on 10/18, a week later. That is way too long. The other company I had before will send the technician the next day. I have a leak and I have to wait for 7 days. Unsatisfied.

It was easy to schedule with Choice Home Warranty and the repairman came out the next day. He was unable to get to the air conditioning unit in the attic because of a blockage in the opening to the attic but will come back when we can figure out a way to get to it. The office contacted us about what they will help to cover that part of the expenses.

I have refrigerator issue from past 5 months, Choice Home Warranty sends technicians every months, they are changing parts but the refrigerator issue does not get resolved, their fix does not even work for one day. Now when technician said that it is unrepairable, still I am not getting any update from Choice from Choice, despite sending msg. And calling them. They are still asking me to wait. What a pathetic service.

Most of my Choice claims have been honored. One was not, and I disagreed with that decision. Overall, my experience has been good to very good. Their contractors seem knowledgeable and easy to work with. Choice's response to my claims is sometimes delayed, but the contractors are well-trained, and courteous.

I was pleased with customer service and the tech. I just had a concern after spending a fee for each item and the problem I believe still exist. My washer still fills up even when it's set on extra low. This I was told is some type of sensor. With that being said then replace the sensor or replace the machine.

What could have been handled weeks ago turned into a more expensive 2nd trip. Our Air conditioner had been running hot and cold. We would it have it going and all of a sudden hot air would start coming out. We would turn it off for 15 minutes and would come back on cold again. This time it did not come on at all. Our first call the repair technician had the audacity to say it was just dust and leaves and needed a cleaning, this time the RT immediately knew the motor had blown. Now I have to wait another couple of days for insurance to approve the motor! Kind of makes me upset, but the RT was smart efficient and very nice.

Furnace went out on a Wednesday afternoon. Submitted claim and Choice Warranty offered the reimbursement option so we could get it repaired ASAP. We waited until Thursday and got our own HVAC service in. The furnace was fixed and reimbursement approved in a couple hours. Very happy with the experience.

This is a horrible company. The technician who came out was great and has no other relation to CHW outside of being contracted. He put my claim in and they immediately denied it. Even he was confused by the decision. I've had CHW for 3 years and the only thing they have ever covered was a clogged drain. They always have a technicality on why they won't cover something. Even last year after their plumber scammed me, they refused to assist me with anything else. That plumber caused my current issue and they still don't want to cover anything.

Terrible service and support by CHW with both claims (they are related) as I never receive the right support from you in dealing with Sears and caused me to spend additional money on a new claim and other support. You did not act to support your client (me) and I received lies, lack of support and terrible service from you. You do not know what Customer Service means. On top of the above, you revolved the case by giving me an e-gift card from Lowe's for my washer that takes 30 days to arrive. You expect me to wait 30 days to by a new machine? First, after making a claim in regards to our oven in our Texas home we got an appointment right away. The technician called to confirm the appointment and was very friendly. He came out and determined the problem and informed us he would submit the information to Choice. He was very friendly. That same day we were informed the claim was approved.

I have using home warranty services for 18 years. Started with Republic in 2005, then AHS in 2010, and just recently switched to Choice this year. 2023. No issues with the other except price increases. Choice had a very good reputation and offered me a great deal for a 5 year contract. No price increases!! Had my 1st claim this week. My garage door motor had a bearing go bad. I went online, filed the claim and next morning received email with contractor info. 2 days later Peter showed up and fixed the problem. He was very knowledgeable and even pointed out some additional issues that he took care of... So far very happy with everything. I will revisit my experience after the next claim arises.

Washer had a problem with the tub spinning and draining. Choice Home was able to process a special request which not the assign the job to specific company (bad reviews). Job assignment was pick up by Tactical Appliance Repair. They did an excellent job! Completely satisfied with work they did and Choice home timely processing of my work order.

I called in to place a claim and the rep who answered the phone told me he would transfer me to the right department when I told him I had a claim. The transfer was picked up by AI and said an agent would call me back when available. After waiting for quite a while I got online and was able to put a new claim through with no problem. I'm 84 years old and wanted to talk to a live person to mention how happy I was with the last service company they sent after being very upset with the first company sent to me.

I got an influx amount of emails from CHW to renew at a quote worth trying. So I clicked on to get quote and signed up to find out that the service fee jumped from $85 to $100. This was not shared in the first quote until after I had signed up. I am on a fixed income and this is not in my budget. I hope to find something that fits my needs.

The folks from Rooterman came to fix our tub hot water valve, and discovered that the plumbing behind the shower wall was bad. They temporarily fixed the valve so we could use it. They had to come back and fix the pipes behind the wall, and you guys haven't decided if you're paying for it or not. We had to. My hope is that you reimburse us for that because it is part of the contract is it not. R. **. The rooterman folks are very professional, and know what they are talking about.

My experience has been incredibly disappointing. I have been paying for this warranty monthy for ten years. In 2019, my refrigerator broke. After 4 years, multiple claims (for which I paid $85 each), and a flood caused (by a part that was specifically replaced by a Choice technician) that caused 13K in damages, Choice FINALLY agreed to a replacement after technicians had no showed us and multiple hour long phone calls. But, Choice will not really replace because the company does not provide even half of the cost of an equivalent appliance. The company holds all the cards, makes the rules and has a "too bad for you" attitude. This is a total scam.

This company is rife with deceptive practices. They dispatched a garage door service to my residence, even though the garage itself was fully functional; I simply required adjustments to the garage openers to align with the sensors. Regrettably, the technician they sent not only mishandled the situation but also damaged my garage door, caused an electrical panel malfunction, and inexplicably departed without charging us.
Subsequently, they sent another technician who refused to accept responsibility for the garage door issues, citing alleged door faults. It's worth noting that I had a thorough home inspection prior to purchase, during which the garage was declared to be in perfect working condition with no concerns raised by the inspectors. Shockingly, the company informed me that they do not assume liability for the actions of the technicians they send, even if they break or damage things. I strongly advise against using this company. They not only damaged my garage but also denied my claim based on contractual clauses. To all prospective buyers, exercise caution!

When I called to asked about a repair, no one could find that I had ever had a contract with Choice. Today the person started out charging me one price, when I said that was too much he came down. Requested stove repair. Sears tech came out, diagnosed the problem then ordered the part (baking element). The problem was tech NEVER returned to finish the job. I placed several calls to CHW and didn't receive any assistance from them. This was supposed to be completed on Fri. 10/6. Wasted a whole day because no one showed up or called. Placed another call on Monday morning 10/9 to CHW. Claim was reassigned to Appliance Repair and my problem was resolved on Tuesday in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.

Choice selected a contractor who scheduled appointment for a Tuesday, which I had to take off from work to be home. That contractor canceled the appointment that day and rescheduled for two days later. When the technician came out he could not fix our make of oven, which we put in with the request and issue. Choice had that technician collect our service fee and assign our service to someone that was qualified. That person did come out and fix the problem but once again Choice had the technician collect a service fee from us. 1 service, 2 fees is not in contract with Choice. Now they are telling me I need to call the first contractor/technician and get that service fee back when it was Choice that caused the issue. No, they need to make that call and fix the problem.
Also, when addressing this issue with Choice Rep they did not seem very knowledgeable on contract terms and being able to help. Choice is new to us, signed up 2022 after being with American Home Shield for many years. AHS was great, just getting too expensive. Choice is cheaper but you get what you are paying for. Might need to look at going back to AHS.

I purchased my warranty in 2021. On Sept 12th I submitted my first claim, which was for plumbing. After many phone calls to Choice's resolution department, still no technician. Today, Oct 10th, I called to cancel my contract. The agent tried to talk me out of cancelling. I thanked the agent for her assistance and told her after a month of waiting, I only wanted to cancel. I was yelled at because I chose to cancel. I was told I would not get a refund and and would have to fix the issue on my own and that I should reconsider losing money. I am very disappointed. We were informed about what items would be covered by our policy and they assured us multiple times that they had qualified technicians to work on geothermal. When we experienced a failure in the unit they were supposedly not finding a technician. We had to find our own. Then they didn't understand the cause of the failure. They did not make any payment to us. They said it was not normal wear and tear. We had 5 technicians that all agreed the unit needed to be repaired, without a guaranty, or the better option of replacing the unit. We received no reimbursement and they did not send a technician to our home to review the issues that were contested. We would not advise anyone to fall for their sales pitch and not to purchase any warranty program from them!!

I was disappointed with the lack of service done on my unit and the pictures they sent about my unit which were dated 08/10/15 indicating the status of my unit and claiming the issue was a maintenance issue. I was very upset about the claims of what they’d done etc. I never want Bennett and son coming to my home again. I feel that I have been ripped off and lied to. I requested another service to be sent and was willing to pay $85 again for the same issue about my air conditioner. I was blessed to have Sears appointed to my air conditioner and the issue was repaired. It was a leak in my coolant and thank God it was repaired. Plumber came and looked and told me. CHW does not cover a Bidet. He also checked around the toilet for other defect. After all he checked I paid him a $45.00 service fee. My dryer stopped working on 8/9 and reported. Tech from Sears ordered a part 8/14 that was unavailable. I waited till 9/11 and got a card to Lowe’s. Unavailable at Lowe’s and requested a check to buy. Assured I would get by 10/9. They just asked me to wait another month for the check. I’m guessing it’s going to be 3 months if at all waiting for reimbursement. Kitchen faucet was spewing water and just replaced it myself a month prior and it wasn’t covered because I couldn’t wait. My advice if you need prompt service stay away.

I’m nearly 70 years old and I have an awful time using computers which is why I prefer talking to an actual human. The computer that answers the phone asks for simple descriptions of my claim. But it asks me questions that I don’t have a clue how to answer and a live human would be able to help me through this. Once I finally connected with a live human, my problem was handled quickly. If I could have been connected quickly in the first place with a customer service representative, I wouldn’t have been so uptight. The only reason I gave three stars is the human I spoke with was very kind and did a great job. If I couldn’t speak with a human, I would have given only one star.

Initially my claim was not fully approved and I was told to take the part to Lowe's or Home Depot for an exchange since the part should be under a lifetime warranty. The problem with that was, they require a proof of purchase and I did not build the house so I do not have a proof of purchase for anything original in the home. The company that came in to fix the issue told them this info but Choice Home still declined it. My claim was assigned to a Case Worker, Latasha **. She quickly assisted in getting the claim approved so the work could be completed. I appreciate her for being fair in this situation.

Claim was easy to make over the phone using their automated system. Email response was prompt letting me know they were working on it. Then another email giving me the name of the AC repair company contact info and appointment time. I contacted the repair company to get a sooner appointment and they came out the next day. They came back the following day with the replacement part and the AC worked for a bit then stopped again. I had to call them back twice before the problem was solved satisfactorily. Overall, it would have been a 5 star review if the AC had been fixed without the return repair calls.

I wish to give my recent experience with Choice Home Warranty. In October 2020 we purchased a home warranty plan with Choice. We were quoted a monthly fee but they asked for our charge card info for the first payment but when the charge came out of our account it was for $2250.00, which was the payments for the whole year and then we got 5 years for free, they said. We have never made a claim with them so we didn’t know how bad that experience was going to be. I was able to print out the contract on 11/01/2020 and it shows total plan covered and what appliances were covered. It clearly shows that our water heater was part of the covered appliances.
On Sept 04, 2023 I called Choice claims dept and told them that our water heater was leaking inside the heater closet and that I’d put a fan on it when we discovered that there was water on the concrete floor. On Sept 05, 2023 Water Way Plumbing LLC showed up at our front door at 8:05am. They told us that they were there on behalf of Choice Home Warranty Plan and that they were removing the gas water heater from our house. The plumber came in, started sawing pipes and disconnecting lines and such and took all the copper pipes and fittings from our water heater closet and took it out and stood it up in front of our house. They left several fans and di-humidifiers and left after an hour or so. They gave us a bill for the $65.00 service fee, which we paid, and left. They came back the next day and left more machines.
That same day we got a text from an agent at Choice Home Warranty that denied our claim for the water heater and that we would get a call in the next 10-14 days to appeal that decision by a case manager. I called back several times and was able to file an appeal that same day. We went 14 days without any hot water in the main portion of house. No contact from anyone at Choice Home Warranty except another text saying our appeal was also denied due to rust accumulating on the bottom of the water heater ad that it was too old. On Sept 22 I called them to ask for a refund on our original policy and also a refund on the new policy we asked them to cover our 2nd home during the summer of 2023. I was told by Vincent that I needed to speak to our Case Manager, Tony and was given his direct phone and ext and that he would call us back about this issue. I was then transferred to his extension and the phone call was disconnected.
I called back and 9/25 and spoke to Jasmine, explained that no Tony had called me back and that I still wanted the refund on both policies. She put me on hold several times and came back with an offer of $600 and to not cancel those two policies. I explained that we had spent $921 dollars out of our pocket to finally get hot water back into our house and that I had talked to Water Wise Plumbing and they said there was no rust on the bottom of the tank and they were expecting to get paid for their removal services. Their expectation was that it was a covered expense as they had been dispatched to do the repair and also the installation of a new tank.
My husband, Dennis, called them again on 10/06 and told them that we would not settle for anything less than the $921.00 “self installation” of a new 40 gallon tank into our water/heater closet. Also that we were making several complaints against them, BBB and Arizona Attorney General. We are also pursuing a claim in small claims court for their not performing the work contained in our Home Warranty Plan. On this phone call the young lady told him that the water heater was not even covered in our plan, even though it clearly states Water Heater on the document I have. They agree to give us a refund for the remaining unused portion of this plan and a whole refund of the 2023 plan but said it would take 2-3 weeks to show back on our charge card bill.

We have our dryer making a squeaking noise. Website made is so easy to make a claim. Only issue I have with this company, if it’s an emergency, not able to get a tech same day or next day. Our a/c went out a day before the highest day of the year… Told us we had to wait at least 48 hours. And if you have a pool, good luck with them finding a tech for pools. Heater is not working. I can't provide an objective evaluation of the claim as the technician did provide a thorough evaluation and determined that there were major problems with the unit which was left inoperable. This is the unit for the main living space of the house and it will soon become cold here. Hopefully your company will trust the technician evaluation and bring this unit back online before winter.

We are currently 2 weeks as of today into our first claim for our refrigerator compressor going out. First vendor assigned was a no call, no show to our appt. New vendor was assigned, came out and diagnosed compressor failure and said they were suggesting replacement of refrigerator. Appt was 5 days ago, we are still waiting on word what is going on with our claim. So far, this has not been a good experience, with what is supposed to be the #1 home warranty company. 2 weeks and waiting....

Tech came and diagnosed and fixed problem in 20 minutes. I had some issues with Choice a few years ago, where techs chose not to fix appliances and said they needed to be replaced, which sounded fine until Choice offered me minimal money for replacements, but my last three service calls have been excellent.

I placed an inquiry for pricing quotes and coverage options online today, October 07, 2023. Within seconds, I received a phone call from one of your representatives, William. He walked me through home warranty options and asked if I had questions. My only question was why the disparity in a monthly quote between Choice Home Warranty and American Home Shield. He was not able to provide reason and I proceeded to establish coverage through William to begin on 11/06/23.

The experience was wonderful! The repair man came out at 10 a.m. (earlier than stated). He diagnosed the problem and said that he didn't have the part but his boss did. He called him and his boss said he'd come by and install it. He was an hour away! And he came anyway. We really appreciated that we didn't have to wait a week for the part and they went out of their way to fix our problem! Thank you so much!

Called in for pipe leaking in wall and flooded rugs in lower apartment at ** from pipe feeding **. Paid $75 for service repair and the Plummer came out and said it was a two man job and would return on friday of that week. On thursday I called the plumber and he said you refused his bid for the work, you want him to use PVC pipe which is not legal in San Francisco.
Due to the flooding to the lower floors of my building I was left with no choice but to temporary fix the broken pipe to stop major water damage to the lower floors of my building. Note the vent pipe still needs replacing and is split for an unknown distance up the wall. The repair required me calling in my brother a license plumbing contractor to fix the broken pipe but not the vent pipe which is still broken. Because I temporary fixed the leaking pipe without your authorised ok you refused to refund the cost of the temporary repair.

I have a house in GA. I submitted a claim for a pool leak over a month ago. Was given the reimbursement option because CHW could not find a technician. Did not accept the reimbursement option because I live overseas and it would be too challenging to find a repairman. Contacted CHW via website to explain this and got no response. Called to explain the same and was told the claim was closed! I asked the representative for a complaints number. I was given the number to real estate sales. Though the rep re-opened the claim, I was sent a repeat email the next day offering the reimbursement option. Called from overseas again and was told my claim would be escalated and I would receive a message in an hour. Message never came so I called again. Spoke with a supervisor who told me an escalation was never submitted. The supervisor was of no help. Here it is a month later and my pool is still leaking.

I had the best technician come out and service my house. He was terrific. My warranty company, however denies everything and looks for every reason to not pay a claim.. They would not repair my ceiling fans and they want to limit their “repairs” to less than $70. You can’t replace ceiling fan for $70. Do not go with Choice Home Warranty. They also have an active lawsuit by the Attorney General of Arizona and it exactly outlines why they’re being sued the same issues that I’ve experienced with them.

I recommend others try a different warranty company. It was truly a mistake trusting this company for the potential needs of my home.

Called Choice Warranty on 10/5/2023 that our water heater was leaking and spewing water all over the garage. I placed my claim and waited for a company to call me. I got a text that stated it wouldn’t be until Wednesday, 10/10/2023, to get someone to come out from Orlando. I called the company after and left a message. No reply until I received a text hours later stating that it would now be Thursday, 10/11/2023 to have them come look at the problem.
I called Choice 2 times to get someone sooner but said they couldn’t find someone. So now it’s almost a week without hot water. We finally got a friend to get the unit from spewing water but it took us 3 hours to clean up the mess. I never had to wait a week to get anything repaired. We don’t even know if it will be repaired or not since I was told they first come out to look at it before they have to get approval for anything else and that might take a day or two. This totally not acceptable. With other warranties companies we had we never waited a week. We are totally upset with this. We can’t imagine there isn’t a plumber looking for work that’s not closer.

On the 3rd of Sept I called with a problem with my well. They kept hemming and hawing and ignoring my request to speak to a supervisor. They made me two appt with plumbers. Neither showed up. I kept telling them it was a well problem, not a plumbing problem. They finally got a well person on the 29th of Sept. The people came and submitted their work order and that's the last I've heard. My well still isn't fixed.

The Technician (Victor) was excellent. He was excellent and went through a planned process to find my problem of water not dispensing from the refrigerator. He found a broken water line and replaced it. He was clean, professional and clearly knew what he was doing. He also checked my washer and dryer, dishwasher as part of his checklist.

Appointment was quickly set, technician was early to our home. He diagnosed the problem and even found another issue. Went and got the parts he needed and returned to our home within 30 minutes. He made the repairs, tested the dishwasher and confirmed it was fixed. The whole experience only took a little over an hour. We are extremely pleased with CHW and the technician. We have been with CHW over 8 years and have always been happy with everything. I highly recommend them.

Profound disappointment and frustration with Choice Home Warranty. I believe their actions are not only unfair but unethical. People are rude, disconnected and their only interest is to find a way not to pay any claim. My concerns were never addressed promptly or satisfactorily. I don't like to leave bad comments because I know how hard is to manage a business but in this case, they really deserve it. I wonder how can they get more than one star ever. I would like to leave zero stars if possible.

My microwave went down on Sept 19. It is now October 6, the parts have been at my house for 6 days and my microwave is still down. My garbage disposal has been down 11 days with no tech identified. I called you yesterday and told you to cancel garbage disposal claim. I can replace myself with a new one cheaper than your service charge. VERY upset about service and response from your people. If I could give a negative -10 I would. I have had Choice for 3 years. This the first time I have had a claim. Total waste of $50 a month for 3 years.

I had the absolute worst experience working with a “Resolution Manager” today, 12:40, 6 October 23. He had an accent and was extremely condescending. I began to explain my discernments with my experience regarding, no show for the plumber. He actually laughed aloud. I called him on it and he responded, “uhm, ma’am you’re just frustrated because of your situation, I was actually laughing because someone was spewing me something”. I couldn’t believe what I was actually hearing! What! Huh! You’re actually a manager, no way. He proceeded to go back and forth until I ended the discussion. I hung up, called back and canceled my service with this company. Never again!!!!

They do not cover any claims. My first claim that I called was denied. Reason it's wear and tear. Any claim you call in you're gonna hear the same. It's not covered. My pool sweeper went out so I called and filed a claim. It was denied on the spot. My pool guy told me he used them for a while to do some of their claims and he told me they wanted him to tell all their customers it's not a covered item. Also he told me they don't wanna cover any claims. Anyways please do not be fooled about their promises. They lie and lie and lie. Bunch of dirty thieves. Do not waste your money. And also you have to pay your deductible out of your pocket. After that they tell you your claim is denied.

Repair guy came out. Found the issue, reported back to Choice and two days later I received an email advising me that the fridge needs to be replaced and choice gave me 3/4 of what I needed to replace fridge. Although I thought that they would replace it but I’m grateful that I only needed to add 150 to what they gave me to get a brand new fridge.

Talked with Noah about new HW contract. He answered all of my questions and offered me a reasonable contract and price. I am waiting to see how your service is Because I am most unhappy with the service and the promptness of my current HW contract. It took 3 1/2 weeks for them to repair my refrigerator and I lost a lot of food while waiting. So my main concern will be Choice Home's response time to my issue.

I went on vacation for 3 weeks only to come home and find that my hot water heater was leaking and my clothes washer sounded like it was cleaning a bowling ball. For my first claim last year the technician responded and visited my home quickly. He instantly diagnosed the problem and negotiated payment amount with CHOICE. I am very satisfied with the work and payment. I filed my second claim today for a fan that is not working in my second AC compressor. I am expecting the same service from the technician and CHOICE.

My pool pump was burnt out and CHW responded quickly to my request and for that I was most appreciative. My only regret is the contract signed said very clearly that they would replace, not that they would partly compensate for the replacement cost which put me under considerable hardship to meet the remaining cost of the pump since I am retired and on a fix budget. They did not comply with their promise of replacement cost as per the contract.

The clerk who talked to me was obnoxious. He kept trying to upsell me with additional features and terms that I didn't want. He wouldn't take "no" for an answer, no matter how many times I told him. When I thought we were finished I kept asking him "Are we done here?" He was evasive at first, but then admitted we were done, but refused to give up trying to upsell me. The phone call from hell!

You sent a plumber to my house to evaluate the problem. He came by and looked at the problems that I reported. He found out that the water heater pan was full of water. Master bedroom needs a new sink. Bathroom in the hallway needs to be fixed. Weather is starting to cool down and I really need the problem fixed. I am wondering what the holdup is. Why is it taking so long to rectify the situation.

To be fair, it's way too early to rate the company. I was a bit surprised that I couldn't speak to a live agent. The bot didn't have the capability to ask or understand the problem. My shower's water pressure is extremely bad, I believe it is the valve. The only thing the bot could understand was my home has low water pressure.

The response was fast from Choice, a plumbing contractor was contacted and arrived the next day. The contractor evaluated the problem, took pictures and said the recirculation pump was bad and the hot heater was ok. They got approval from Choice to proceed and 3 days later made arrangement to come to the house. They installed the new pump, checked the system and were done in about an hour. The contractor and Choice had good responsive communications with me the entire time. The work was very professional. Great job! I would recommend using Choice.

Rob is a master salesman and I hope that this round of service will be better than the first. I used the contracts infrequently and was mostly satisfied with technicians you contacted to fix or repair the problem. There was a small problem a leak in an outdoor faucet that your agents would not fix and I had to pay about $50 to hire a plumber to repair.

The technician only called to say that he was running late! He didn't have the parts to fix it and said that he would have to order them. We have no idea when he will be back to repair the dryer! Definitely not much communication from him as to when he will be back! We may have to go buy a new one in the meantime because of lack of communication from technician!

My experience has been hit-and-miss with Choice warranty. The claim is denied almost half the time based on some deep-buried clause in terms and conditions. And you still have to pay the "visit fees". Also, the wait times for someone to come and look at the issue is quite long - most of the time it's about a week. And to fix the issue can take anywhere between 1-4 weeks. Not sure I'd continue with them once my current term expires.

I had a power outage that caused my appliance to stop working. I put a claim in and within 2 days someone was at my house. The technician ordered the parts and came back 2 days later to install. I would recommend getting the insurance they manage to fix all my appliances from a power outage. Very happy customer.

Choice is the worst home warranty company out there. I am sad to say I have been a member for many years now. I have had 3 denials in the last year of coverage and now I am DONE. They weasel their way through wording to get out of any work. I even had previous work done from them (literally the exact same issue and it was covered...) and now it's not covered. My compressor went out on my AC unit...Pretty big part of the AC unit that they "say" they will cover and they did not!! But monthly payments have gone up and vendor fees! Even the vendors who have come out to our house have told us Choice is the WORST company to deal with. There is a reason they have the cheapest monthly payments. They will not cover ANYTHING. They will find a way to deny coverage

I contacted Choice Home Warranty because I found water leak inside my wall above my downstairs shower. I had to remove the shower and all the drywall in order to find that the leak was on a copper cap coming off the side of my main drain pipe. After about 1 week, Choice Home Warranty sent out their contracted plumber. When they arrived at my home, they took my $85 co payment and all they did was take pictures of where the leak was happening and told me they would send the pictures to CHS for approval or denial.
A few day later, I got an email stating, "it has been determined that the cap was improperly soldered to the pipe and should have a male or female adapter/threaded cap and will require further service. This is not considered normal wear and tear and would indicate an improper previous repair/installation. Please refer to section A2 of your policy. Your policy has the following exclusion, all systems must become inoperative due to normal wear and tear." I have lived in this house for 30 years and it was originally built in 1963 and I have not had any plumbing issues since living here. The email also stated that I could appeal their decision and it would be turned over to a case manager for further review.
To make a long story short, I contacted the case manager that my issue was assigned to. I tried to explain that I had lived in the house for over 30 years and never had a problem with the plumbing. She just kept repeating that the item was not covered because of the reasons stated above. I was angry and she was very rude and did not want to deal with me or my problem. At that point, I was very upset and told her to cancel my useless policy because they do not cover items "no matter how old they are" as they stated in their ad to get me to buy their product. I called my own plumber and they were able to fix my problem with $10 part and about 10 minutes of labor. If you have an older house that was built many years ago, and the codes of building were not up to the current codes of building, DO NOT use this company for warranty. They will find a clause in the contract so they can get out of the problem.

We have been in our home since 3-9-23. We have had to file 2 claims. One on stove top and other on microwave. We have still yet to have either fixed. The process has been slow and not helpful at all. If you spent as much time working as problems, as you do sending promos, it would probably be fixed.

A gas leak was discovered on our stove cooktop by Piedmont Natural Gas and the unit was red tagged and shut off. The young man that came appeared to do a very thorough job and dug in to dismantling various things. He couldn't have done much more to find a leak but failed at that because it didn't appear to be leaking anymore, anywhere. Although the leak seems to have gone away it did leave me a bit concerned. It has been 3 days with no leak and we will have Piedmont back to check.

Once we submitted the claim, they were on top of it. Had someone out same day, covered the issue and it is being taken care of immediately. The only thing I do not like is that no one picks up the phone anymore to call you and advise of you of status. I am not a technical person and I believe a phone call goes a long way. Other than that, I would highly recommend CHW.

The technician received approval to put a snake in my drain but there was a washer that was old and was coming off which would’ve caused leak. I didn’t like how the technician told me after the fact that I have to pay $35 for a washer to be placed on the sink. This was in addition to paying the $85 service fee. He didn’t ask me prior to doing that or advise me of the fee.

The Service Tech from Sears did a great job! He was friendly...found the issue and ordered a part to fix my Fridge. He bypassed the water filter housing and was able to have water running back to the refrigerator and to the ice maker so I could have ice until he returns to install the water filter housing.

I am changing from my current Home Warranty due to several problems with their contractors and the coverages that were promised caused me additional money then should have been charged to me. Several items should be covered by the warranty but due to their contractors reporting things incorrectly it cost me more money than I should have had to pay. Heard and read a lot of great things about Choice Home Warranty and pray that their contractors explain the repairs appropriately. Time will tell.

My kitchen sink was not draining properly. I was not able to use the kitchen which was very inconvenient. I filed a claim with CHW, and it dispatched the call very soon. But it was not able to find a plumber nearby. It gave me an option of finding my own technician and got reimbursed. Once I accepted it, it sent me the reimbursement instructions, very clear. After the technician submitted his diagnosis, CHW authorized it within 30 min. I got the problem fixed within two days. I am happy with the flexibility and the fast turnaround time. I have just submitted the receipt for reimbursement, which will take 30 days. Hopefully this is also a smooth process, no surprise.

In the last year my experience with Choice Home Warranty has been very poor. I would not recommend anyone purchase a warranty from Choice. I have had a few claims that were denied that were from normal wear and tear and the lack of communication and understanding from Choice has been very poor.
