The technician was prompt in coming out. He worked diligently to get the faucets installed and they are working well. He cleaned up his work area before leaving. Gave input as to how to keep the faucets in working order and was on his way! I will keep him mind if I incur any more problems with my water system.

Both of our toilet were stopped up. We were still waiting on the evening of day 4 to hear that a provider had accepted the claim. Once the technician arrived everything went well. I was, however, surprised that the tech did not have a toilet wax ring in his truck, but I was going to Lowe's so I got one and brought it back.

Could someone explain what normal wear and tear means. Not sure how something that cycles on and off during the winter wouldn't wear out over time. This seems like normal wear to me. Just an explanation would be very helpful to me. Thank you very much. Technician was very nice.

The process for our home warranty went very smooth and easy. They were very helpful in including us in the process and talking us through everything. The lady that helped us was very helpful in explaining the coverage that was included. It was a very beneficial process, and we learned very much.

Wow!! I had been with another home warranty provider which I would probably give a solid 2.5 stars. After my initial contact with Choice Home Warranty, the representative was a totally in tune with my need and questions. My questions were valued and answered with clarity. The various plans were explained thoroughly. I felt respected and valued. The coverage premiums are affordable and much lower than my current provider. Will definitely recommend Choice Home Warranty. Great experience, they were punctual and professional. I would definitely recommend Choice Home Warranty to friends. The Technician was on time with extensive knowledge of correcting my issues. Within one hour of arrival Dave the technician had my issue corrected. I wish I went with Choice Home Warranty years ago. I feel they are the best out there in home warranty.

I have had a built-in microwave oven and a refrigerator serviced. There were no surprise charges. I paid the agreed service call fee plus parts needed and labor. Service calls were answered and handled speedily. The service person had someone to advise them if they questioned how to fix the problem. They ordered parts needed for the repair and came back when they got the parts. No extra charges for coming the second time to install the new parts.

Technician was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Wait time to get approved to do repairs was less than 10 minutes. All in all good experience. Refrigerator was fixed without any issues and technician was here for few hours and had my refrigerator apart! Would definitely recommend. Extremely pleased!

On Tuesday night my heating system went out and by Friday the assigned company came out to access the problem. Turns out my system was old and needed replacing. By Monday I was back with heat. Service person from Autumn Air was on time, very polite and respectful and told me in plain terms as he determined the problem.

Had to call back after a lengthy conversation with Jesse… My contract was wrong… Coverage listed in Optional listed Undercounter Ice maker and omitted Free Standing Freezer. I called back, girl that answered had such a thick accent I couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t grasp what I was saying. Total lack of communication… Finally got transferred and same issue… Agent didn't listen to me and rushed to put me on hold before he understood the entire issue.

Was able to talk to David who was very helpful to take care of my service, now I am just waiting for the link so we can complete the process. Thank you, Larry **. I had waited at least 3 weeks for someone to be assigned for the call, but this time of the year as it is getting colder you need your furnace working. I had called 2 to three times and was finally told to find a licensed company to do the work as was taken care of.

Brando ** quoted me a premium yesterday, he sent a contract showing an increase of 10% of the premium, I am trying to call him but he does not answer his phone, I left him messages and he is not calling me back!! I tried to email him but he blocked me! I wonder if all your employees are like Brandon??

I've solicited CHW's help four times I believe. I have not had a bad experience with any of my service appointments - to date. I've enjoyed the customer service, quick response, and repairs so much, I even purchased a plan for my mother after my father passed away earlier this year. This is a stark difference from my experience with American Home Shield.

Corey ** was very professional and wanted to help resolve issues. Took his time to identify problems and suggest a repair to the Choice Warranty. Of course, since Choice Warranty is great at selling policies, but rarely pays out for any repairs, it has become a total waste of time for Corey, me the homeowner and an expensive lesson to not EVER renew any of my 5 policies,

Everything that we have turned in has been fixed within a couple of days. We’ve had a new garbage disposal, water heater fixed, and kitchen lights, we are very pleased with the response time. Someone has always come out the next day and taken care of the problem. We are very pleased that we have chosen Choice Home Warranty. It has been a big relief not having to find and call a particular kind of repair shop and then wait for a couple weeks for service.

Ahron was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was explained and thoroughly went over. He answered all of my questions and provided the materials that I requested. I hope I will not need the service but if needed he stated I could contact him personally. I found the price was very competitive and the policy is transferable if needed.

I submitted a request for quote about two days ago. In the past two days, I received four emails and a phone call, where two emails appeared to come from the same sales person but signing off as different names. I got the phone call before reading any emails. The guy on the phone was pushy and told me I couldn't get his deal over email, I had to take it on the phone. This was not true, as I found out later, two other sales reps sent me the exact same deal by email. I'm offended that he would deceive me that way. I asked him to please send me the offer over email because I was at work and would get back to him in the evening, and if he had been respectful, I would have chosen him over the other guys when I saw their emails.
He still got my business because the deal was better than what I had seen on the open market, he did send me an informal email putting the offer in writing, and Choice Home Warranties has good consumer ratings. However, after he got my business, he pushed to try to get me to sign up for a multi-year policy. I'm happy with the policy I bought and told him as much, but he pushed anyway and I shut him down. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile, as they say.

I called in the claim on 17 October. Soon received an email saying the claim was in work. After hearing nothing I called on about the 24th of October to inquire about the claim. They said I should get an email within 48 hours. Again, 3 or 4 work days went by without a word, so on 30 October I called again. I was told no one had accepted the work order and that it would be escalated. I should be getting an email within 48 hours. Again, receiving no emails, I called on 02 November. With just another thanks for being a Choice customer and I should get an email within 48 hours, I strongly considered canceling the program. On 03 November I finally got an email scheduling an appointment with JBS Plumbing for the following week, JBS plumbing came on 7 November and did an outstanding job. I wasn't pleased with how long it took to get a plumber out to fix the leak but am very pleased with JBS.

Been with Choice several years. Would recommend them. Called in with two claims. Was immediately assigned two different companies on Sunday and by Tuesday both problems were resolved. Both companies were respectful and informative. Am very relieved to have these issues taken care of in such pleasant and efficient way.

They never called me back so I have not got any information on when they're going to fix my problem. Pretty upsetting. When I signed up for this warranty I got the impression that they would call you right back and give you a service man so that you could get your problem fixed. However it has been hours and they have not called me back.

The whole process was seamless. Darin came to the house and assessed the problem. He knew exactly what was wrong and changed the part that was in his truck. He tested the machine several times and all was good. This was the first time I have filed a claim for an appliance and all went very smoothly. Thank you.

I was not completely informed as to the process. I was given option to proceed with my own person because they did not have a person to come out and check it. Once I did I was told broke because it was over tightened. Then as I progressed I was told they do not cover. I would not had any problems if I knew that in the first place. The Claim manager was very helpful and apologized and said they would give me $400 towards new one which I did. She was very nice and helped me feel better in regards to the repairs. This was my first experience using my Choice Warranty. I am very pleased with the experience and outcome. Making the claim was easy. I was very pleased that they used Sears Service as my Fridge is a Whirlpool. The technician was skilled and had me first in less than 20 minutes. Very positive experience.

The tech came out, stated a freon issue, and he would send the request. CHW closed the claim. I call CHW again and told them nothing has been done. They replied I would have to create another claim. I created another claim, same guy came out. Stated low freon, blower not working, and system board. After 2 weeks still waiting? I would not recommend CHW!

I spoke with Warren **, Regional Sales Manager. She was very professional, helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. I had initially signed up for additional coverage of minimal roof leak and she saved me money by explaining that if we had homeowners' insurance they would cover it for less of a deductible than this coverage. She also saved us money by explaining that since we had pumped our septic tank within the last three years, we didn’t need that additional coverage as well because the recommended maintenance time for pumping septic systems was every 10 years. Overall, we now have better coverage, with a lower service fee, than we had with American Home Shield. Thank you Warren. If my future relationship with your company is as professional and efficient as my interaction with Warren, I regret not changing to your company sooner. Thank you again Warren and I look forward to our new relationship with your company.

Ron was very professional and thorough, he meticulously investigated the entire furnace and AC system and when completed he gave me a full explanation and showed me exactly what the problem is and why I need to replace my system. So when it was time to make the decision to go ahead with replacing my furnace/AC it was not difficult. He helped me with setting up financing and all was completed and ready to proceed once all the documents for my HOA were completed.

Found water in the laundry room and not sure the problem. When the water was gone, figured the washer was the problem. Called Jerry ** who transferred me to someone to cancel plumber. I was concerned there was no internet info on this person. Jerry said this was a private contractor with CHW. This was concerning to me. Sears will be coming to check the washer. Will see..

Updated on 02/21/2024: It's more rural where I live, so Choice has a problem finding people who will work for them. Sears was the last one to look at my refrigerator, and they were the best. They asked exactly what was going on as well as for pictures, the serial number and the model number. I've been with Choice four months, and the best part has been after three attempts to fix my refrigerator, they gave me half the value of my unit so I could buy a new one.
Original Review: Technician came and reset panel, but it did not fix the cooling/freezing issue with my refrigerator. So he returned (55 miles) and did a complete overhaul, at no addition charge and that fixed the problem. He also texted 2 times to make sure refrigerator was working, even on the weekend.

I Received a call ahead of schedule when tech was in route. Everything was explained prior to occurrence and tech was extremely pleasant. Tech took his time getting to the root cause of the problem to prevent reoccurrence. Ensured everything worked properly before departure and told me to feel free to call if anything reoccurs within next 45 days. Great experience, highly recommend!

It is so easy to submit an online claim. The correct options are always there making it easy to select the proper issue. I am kept informed from the minute that the claim is filed to when the repair appointment is scheduled. I am very happy with the warranty service. They have rekeyed, fixed my icemaker and now they're coming to repair a plumbing issue. The one-time they were not able to make a repair, they were very clear about the problem that they found and why it is not covered by the warranty, which made perfect sense.

After waiting 48 hours to get a technician, Gentleman came out. Check all connection. Did some resets. Furnace lighted and running. So time that furnace out again, Choice home warranty, said she would get back me, I received a texts around 11:00pm sayings they wasn't going to cover my furnace, I ask why, new claim furnace was running. Technician left. Marlene reply was Alltypeheating & cooling say wires was loose. My he disconnect and put them bad, furnace running ok that 10/ 31/2023 day is 11/7/2023. Still no heat. SAD, SAD DAYS, DISABLE, WIDOW, FEELING VERY, VERY SAD, LOST FOR WORDS. PLEASE HELP.

Called yesterday and have not heard from anyone yet to fix problem. Nonetheless we are still waiting for the person or persons, or companies to call and set something up. It has been almost 25 hours and no response. I can't use my kitchen sink or dishwasher. Now I have dishes in the sink. And a sink full of dishes with everything pulled out from under the sink and a big bowl catching the water dripping down.

Heat system went out. Call for repair. Professional repair man came out. Repaired the heater. Heater's now working. I'm satisfied. I will recommend this company to other family members. I am pleased with their work. I'm also impressed with fast service. That they respond to when you call. I don't have to wait two or three four days. I would have given a 5 star but they scheduled a repairman too far from where I live and had to wait longer for a reschedule. But it was worth the wait! My tech named Chris was awesome!! Fixed washer and dryer within an hour and it works great! Very informative and so polite!

CHW was fine, however the repair company forgot us the first day. Then when I contacted them for a time they were coming back they acted like they didn’t know who I was and wanted a model number which they already had. Still waiting on parts and a time it will be repaired.

I called 10/30/2023 to start policy but changed my mind. On 10/31/2023 I called to cancel policy, spoke with resolution manager Clifton and he stated it would take up to 7 days for my refund. On 11/7/2023 my money still has been refunded. I had to call again on 11/7/2023 to find out why my money still hasn’t been refunded. Spoke with another resolution manager. She stated she wasn’t sure why it wasn’t processed but she sent the previous resolution manager a note that he never finished processing my refund.

Very unhappy right now! Our furnace needs replaced or repaired which might be an issue since we are having problems with getting anybody on the Iowa side to fix it because they don't want to work with Choice! We live in Iowa and have no furnace now because of the problem it has! We bought this house 2 yrs ago, the furnace was put in back in 2006! Tired of hearing it's against the law to replace it because it has a 20-year warranty on the part that's broken!! Nonsense! It needs replaced or when it gets really cold our pipes will prob bust and we will have another problem!!!! Will never recommend your company or renew ever!!! We are going to contact a lawyer if something doesn't change this week. Very disappointed and pissed!!!

Having a home warranty in place has definitely been very helpful. Unexpected things arise and can be expensive, having Choice Home Warranty has been a big advantage in keeping repairs up in my home. I've had Choice for 3 years now and plan to keep them in place for unplanned home repairs. I have recommended Choice to my daughter and her family who live in Louisiana, now she has home warranty coverage.

The technician repaired it well. The problem was with Sears. They gave me a time slot from 7 am to 6 pm! 11 hours! What was I supposed to do? Wait at home for the tech to show up anytime between those hours? Despite my calling Sears the day before and requesting a two-hour slot (like most home repair companies do) between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and them promising it, nothing changed. Fortunately, the tech called a little after 7 a.m. while I was still home and everything worked out. Sears' time scheduling sucks.

Great service, got us heat in 24 degree weather. All repair people should have this caring concern. Provided quick service and was concerned about the problem and wanted to get the system repaired and working... I wish all of Choice Warranty people had this trait and concern for people. If I have another cooling/heating problem I hope I get D and D air solutions for the repair people.

I was unsatisfied with the claim not being "completed timely." It was ongoing through 2 service companies and over 5 weeks without a refrigerator. I lost over $200 in food, couldn't keep it iced down sufficiently for that long. They would come out, fix it, and then it would not work, so they would order another part (another week to come in) etc. (Repeat, do it all again each week)

I find that in today's world there are less and less reviews that I can honestly give to companies because there is always something that deters me from being able to give them a 4 or 5 star rating. I am giving this review to Choice Home Warranty because I am happy to be honest and say this company deserves a 5 Star Review! I have already told my friends about this company and will continue to give a good rating as well as a recommendation. I had a very good report when I had my oven element go out. I wasn't sure if it could be fixed as it is a rather older model. I was pleased to see that the service man came with the element and fixed it the same day!

Wayne did a great job of installing two new faucets in our home…one in the kitchen and one in an upstairs bathroom. Both faucets were old and leaking. It was definitely time! We would highly recommend Wayne for any plumbing issues. He really knows what he’s doing!! We just met Wayne yesterday and we feel like we have a new friend that we feel comfortable having in our home.

I am a new customer, very easy to file claim. Within 24 hrs I was contacted and given a company and date for service. The claim was on a Saturday, appointment was on Monday morning. The Technician was very Knowledgeable, Professional and solved the problem. Set up parts tube sent to me and a date he will return for finalizing the repair. Got email confirmations, receipt for payment on the spot. Very Satisfied!!!

Since moving to our new home, I have had to dispute every denied claim. We had a leak in our dishwasher and have had a tech out 3 times and now it is leaking in the basement. I'm done trying to dispute and now it has been denied. So at this point, I am not satisfied with our experience with CHW.

O.k. yes, the CSR was very nice, BUT, when a repair, especially on a Freezer, or Refrigerator is required, SEND SOMEONE WHO CAN COME OUT RIGHT AWAY!! A week and you lose all the food and food is very EXPENSIVE. I wasn't at all happy with that. This is very UNSATISFACTORY. Now with that being said, my freezer was still running ok, but the control and the alarm on it wasn't working. However, when rep came out it miraculously came back on. I paid the $65.00 because if something happens in the next 60 days he said he would come right back over and fix it!!! He was very nice, just too busy for emergencies.

In my mind it seems like the fastest and easiest I've ever contracted with any service. I also spoke with Sha'meen ** concerning signing up for the internet. However, it is not yet offered in my area. Sha'meen was also very friendly and on top of it. He was patient while explaining things, even though the service is not yet available for me. The company was very responsive in scheduling an appointment with a repair company to get my built in microwave fixed. They then decided to replace it since it was too expensive to fixed. They offered me $191 which I refused since there is no built in microwave in the country for $191. They then scheduled a phone appointment with a manager. I was trying to explain to her that I can not buy one for that price but she would not listen. Kept repeating herself and stated her supplier can get it for $191 but would not give me the name of the supplier.

So far the company has been pretty decent. Way too many ads sent to my email for warranty I already have. Was disappointed I had to find a part for my gas oven instead of them finding it and replacing it. Wording has to be specific when putting in a request or you can be denied. Make sure the problem is within the start date of your warranty, if something isn't approved to be fixed or is denied you have to fight and only have 30 days to do it. You only have 30 days once they come out to fix what they said or call them out for same thing or you'll have to pay service fee again. Ask questions and make sure you understand what you're getting.

We got an appointment with the time frame. But then nobody showed up or called. Tenant called the contact next day but was told it was an unrelated company. We needed dryer vent cleaning... $60 was paid for a previous trip and was told there's problem with roof vent leakage (it was fixed later by condo association). Now a request in vain... I'm very disappointed!

First of all, I had a very knowledgeable technician. My HVAC was consistently running. He checked my unit outside and came in and corrected the problem. It has been working fine since the problem was corrected. I liked the fact that it did not take long to get someone to come out and service my HVAC. Great and promptly services. The repair came on time. He explained that something in AC Condenser not click each other that caused my AC is keep running even though I already turned it off. No part replacement needed. He told me if the same problem happen again, just give Choice Home Warranty a call and there won't be another service fee of $85.

I wish that we had the option of reviewing the repair companies that are sent out. Some aren’t rated with the BBB. Some have very bad reviews. I would prefer to chose which ones come to my house. Had my water heater broke and called, automated system helped me immediately. Had someone scheduled right away for inspection and estimate. Unfortunately, cost for repairs on estimate were not not fully covered. Technician was very friendly and acted fast. Took a couple of days before was replace but, it was worth the wait.

Every time I have submitted a claim with your company I end up having to pay someone else to do it. I have told the company who came to fix my furnace to submit the claim for my reimbursement. I haven't heard anything from him yet. So I don't know if he has or hasn't. Either way I am out of money once again for a service that should have been done by your company. I have never been so disgusted with a company in my life. I will not be renewing my contract with your company once my contract expires.

Choice Home Warranty offered no help when we had an issue with a claim. We had a AC company come out last month. Determined thermostat was bad. Had them replace it. The other day we had to turn on heat. It wouldn’t come on. Call Choice again. They sent a different company out. The tech determined that whoever installed the thermostat missed the heat wire. He hooked it up. It came on instantly. Ask Choice to have the original company to reimburse me the service call fee. The response, "Not our problem. Nothing we can do." No advice on who or how to go about this as I feel I shouldn’t have to pay the service fee that was caused by the 1st AC company not doing the job correctly. Very disappointed.

Sears tech arrived 10/7/23. Said they don't make those parts anymore, suggested I call CHW in a week. Received an email that parts were ordered 10/8/23. Called CHW 10/13/23, was told that you hadn't received a diagnosis from Sears tech yet. Called CHW 10/17/23, was asked to give you 24-48 hours more to find parts. Called CHW 10/20/23, was told you needed 24 hrs. more.
Called CHW 10/23/23, I asked to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor did not call back. Called CHW 10/24/23, spoke to a supervisor, told me that I would receive parts on 10/25/23. If no parts arrive call Resolution Dept. Called Resolution Dept. 10/25/23, was given the option to wait for parts or receive an E-gift card to Lowe's for $350. I chose the E-gift card but was told it could take up to 30 days to receive it. I still haven't received the gift card in my email. How ridiculous that you think it takes 30 days. I am extremely unhappy with your service. I have been without an oven for 5 weeks now.

Overall, good service and experiences. It is frustrating, however, when a system has been recently repaired that an entirely different company is sent out for a new claim. The new technician can't always see what was done previously and makes the new claim more difficult. The process would be made easier, and likely cheaper for you, if the prior company was referred for the new claim.

Everyone is very helpful but we called about a hot water issue and have been waiting for 5 days for someone to contact us with no response. This is our first request for help after paying for a full year's service. So far we are not impressed. I was sent a message that I can hire my own service provider. This would mean paying out of pocket and hoping to be reimbursed. If I had wanted to do that I would not have purchased this service. Not happy so far.

I have made multiple claims with this company. I pay 65 a month for the top tier package. They cover maybe 30% of claims. Things they claim they cover they always find a reason not to cover. I made two claims in the past week, one technician made an appointment and didn’t even show up. The other they refused to cover even though it’s something listed that they cover. Drywall damage from the AC leaking. Ridiculous. I’m cancelling this company. I can save the $65 a month and fix it myself.

We had a toilet leak and were hoping to get repairs done quickly. The appointment slot I was given would have been troublesome for us. I had the number to the company and directly called the technician. He answered the call immediately and worked with me to get a better (and quicker) time slot. "I'm not forcing you to save money" was the response when I said how I had not budgeted for an extended deal even if it will reduce the annual fee. I am not pleased that the repair done on my plumbing system was not covered, even though my plan lists plumbing. I had the repairs done and because I did not call first to start a claim it, I was told that it would not be covered anyway. I feel that if it lists plumbing then it should cover plumbing and the fact that I had it repaired prior to calling should not matter if I can produce a receipt.

The company I have an annual service plan with told me that he found a weak capacitor for the inducer motor, reading 60% of the full rating, and would cost just under $300 to replace it. I showed Belton Services the report my company provided, he checked out my heating system and advised the capacitor was fine and had a reading of 4.3 out of 4. He advised the tech either had a bad meter or was trying to sell you something you didn't need just to make a sale. It's nice to find a company that is honest and doesn't take you for a ride.

The appeals customer service rep was very understanding, polite and genuine. Great stress free experience. The overall experience is stressful because it seems as any home warranty, they want to find any way to not cover repairs. I'm also still waiting on coverage for my lights in my kitchen from over 6 months ago. Sometimes it's worth it, sometimes it is not. Sometimes it is a waste of time and energy to fight with Choice. The appeals rep I spoke with was an amazing calm voice on the phone. He did great and was the most assuring customer service I have had this week with my multiple calls to Choice because my house seems to want to crap out on me all at once.

Seal came out of door track. I couldn’t reinsert the seal back into its track on the door. The repairman came to the house and surveyed the problem, and fixed it within a few minutes. The technician was very polite and explained all. But claim coverage by your warranty company is sparse and there is a lot of fine print that the client is not made aware of prior to signing up. Even when the appliance says covered under contract, they come up with some or the other reason to not cover it. Then they say they give wholesale price equivalent, which no client has access to!! The case managers are rude and just keep quoting policy contracts instead of listening and explaining. No consideration at all

I was not going to sign up for something without seeing exactly what I was purchasing. Eliot was much less pushy and answered my questions well. May update later, but for my first claim I was immediately told the repair to my gas furnace wasn't related to normal wear and tear and that I wouldn't be reimbursed for the service call (they couldn't find a technician from their network to come out), even though the tech I found indicated on their diagnosis form that it was due to normal wear and tear. Of course, I'm able to "appeal" and work with a case manager to get reimbursed, but I shouldn't have to. I have a hunch that this is the standard song and dance their customers have to go through with each claim. Hopefully, they'll redeem themselves and I can update my review. NOT. A. GOOD. FIRST. I believe if you accept the replacement allowance it should be 90 to 95% of a comparable appliance to what's being replaced, you have an agreement with Lowe's for the eCard, it would be easy enough to get a price from them. The eCard should not take up to 30 days, the purpose of the warranty is to get back to normal life as soon as possible, waiting 30 days to purchase a new appliance seems ridiculous.

The only issue I have is that he said the White Roger’s 24VRelay needed to be replaced and he didn’t have one and suggested I buy one @ Home Depot or Ace Hardware. I checked both and they did not have. The more I think about it, it really is his job. That’s why I have the insurance. I would appreciate a call to tell me how this will be resolved. Thank you.

I was about to renew my coverage with First American Home Warranty at a higher rate and just started looking at the reviews for other companies. Choice came up as the best, but it said it cost more. I requested a quote anyway and to my surprise was offered more coverage than First American at a lower price. The technician was professional, carried and displayed an ID badge and was very thorough in his initial evaluation. However, I understood that his estimate of repair cost was $450.00. When looking at new dishwashers from both Home Depot and Lowes, their cost was about the same or less than the repair costs. Since this is an 11 year old unit, we expected that it would be replaced rather than repaired. Spending funds to repair a unit this old doesn't seem wise since other parts are likely to malfunction due to age costing more money for additional repairs in the future. Replacing it would seem the most cost effective alternative. However the decision was to repair this unit. Choice Warranties was quick in getting a technician out to us which is a very positive action. Both my wife and I are handicapped and handwashing dishes is very difficult for us.

My motor on my furnace went out on October 16, 2023. I live in Chicago where temperature range at night from 30 to 50 degrees. My furnace did not get fix until Friday, October 27, 2023. It took 11 days for my furnace to get fixed. I’m scared if my furnace goes out in January or February and the temperature ranges from 5 degrees and below. I couldn’t stay in my house. Since I retired my income is less and when I called to voice concern about my monthly payment going up, I was told that a request was put in. For me to get the monthly payment lowered back to what is was and my service fee was reduced to $75. I appreciate that so much. I was very pleased with the technician that was sent to my home to unstop my bathtub/shower drain. Devin was very friendly and professional. He accomplished the work quickly and efficiently. When he was finished the tub drained better than it ever has. He didn't leave a mess and gave me pointers on how to prevent further stoppages. Last two claims on subject items, paid almost $4000 out of pocket. You do not need my opinion, you can easily guess it. Both of these claims were thought to be covered. We have had CHW for 10 years and in my opinion have been very careful not to overwhelm CHW with stupid claims.

After having an electrician come out and install a transformer it should’ve been turned down since the voltage is too high and Choice Warranty is telling me to have them come back out it isn’t covered. Giving one star is too much, at this point zero stars is the service given.

I wish that CHW did reimbursements with all companies because I could of had the part replaced while the guy had the unit open. Instead, I had to wait three days later for the repairs, and then the guy asked me what was wrong and all they did was replaced the contactor without doing a Diagnostic check.

In my experience scheduling and the service process (trying to get CHW to pay for repairs) leave much to be desired. I would only recommend CHW to my enemy. Don't know how CHW received a #1 rating. The competition must REALLY suck! It's like choosing the lesser of the evils.

Do not let any of these good reviews fool you. Most of the good reviews are from their own employees. They have the worst customer service, very unprofessional, persistent, demanding. When you want to cancel service, they will transfer you to so many departments where you won’t cancel service. They don’t cover half of what they tell you over the phone. I called for the first time to get my washer fixed and never got it fixed even the guy that came over to fix it said Choice Home is the worst to deal with and recommend Sears Home Service.

The workmen came as they said when they called to make sure that I was home. They were able to repair the leak in just a few minutes and they didn’t leave any mess. Could not be more pleased. I had called about the leak on Monday and got an email about 3 hours later saying that the workmen would be coming on Tuesday. So the problem was resolved in less than 24 hours.

Overall, I have been satisfied with Choice Warranty, but I I was not pleased with my last experience this past summer when I needed a plumber for my kitchen leak, after they were unable to locate one I was given permission to find my own, which I did. He immediately identified the problem and the necessary steps to resolve it. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I was very satisfied with the service I received from this company. The Choice Warranty claim process is very user friendly. Choice Warranty was very prompt in responding to my claim and providing a knowledgeable, professional company to take care of the problem. The Choice Warranty service fee is very reasonable as well. This was my second claim with Choice Warranty and each experience has been positive.

Very satisfied with technician. Not so much with website and email with home warranty. Got a text. Said the ticket was resolved and wouldn't tell how it was resolved. Asked twice and I never got an answer except to say the ticket was resolved. Trying to get a straight answer was not working. It's very frustrating when all you say is ticket is resolved and nobody can tell me how it was resolved. Called the technician and he said it was resolved by agreeing to buy a new compressor motor on the AC unit. That's all I needed.

The serviceman was very nice and knowledgeable when he arrived on Oct. 27. He found the problem quickly and ordered the parts. I have received notification that he will be back on Nov. 3 to install the parts so that makes it a week from start to finish. That’s not bad in this day and time.

Been paying for pool coverage and Choice Warranty has covered nothing. Always some exclusion. Only covers above ground items which is Filter and pump. You denied both claims for the filter & pump which are the only 2 items above ground. So what do you cover. Your E.5 was a ridiculous excuse for the policy. Claim adjuster used the same verbage so it was useless. They were not interested even in discussing the issue. Just repeated what I already heard. I probably will not renew with CHW next year. I feel like I have been scammed by the fine print of what is covered.I definitely will NOT have the pool covered again. Thank you for your time. I am advising my friends that are looking for home warranty (almost all have pools) NOT to add on the pool coverage.

Our technician was very helpful and explained everything he found in his thorough evaluation. The door on washer was locked and would not open when cycle was finished. Technician removed cover and explained the workings of the washing machine, the difference between front loading and top loading machines and different brands being better than others.

I had a water leak from the freezer in my subzero, in addition to the temperature not cooling beyond 13 degrees. The technician group assigned to the claim (Applix) did a wonderful job diagnosing and remediating the problem. I opened the claim and one week later, the parts were already ordered and the technicians came again and fixed the issue.

Chris was very polite and efficient. He put shoe covers on to protect my carpet which was good. He had my AC unit up and running in 30 minutes. Great service.!!! There was no question about my deductible and my charge card was used to pay. Of course he had to call and let his office run the card thru after he gave them the number. But that was not a problem.

My only complaint is that it took about a week to get a technician confirmed. I guess we are considered "remote" even though the small city population is about 15K people. But, once here, the repair was completed in just a few minutes. And the technician explained the issue very well.

Choice denied my furnace repair claim citing a broad exclusion on valves. Since I had my system cleaned and the problem was identified I included the description in the initial claim that they made. Had repairman come back to see the noise that was coming from disposal. I was told it was find. The dishwasher repairmen came to see about my dishwasher and they took a look at the what was wrong disposal and got it fixed. Zero stars. I would recommend the technician. Who, does NOT have a contract with Choice. They don't want to work with Choice Home Warranty, so I paid out of pocket for diagnosis. I would NOT recommend Choice Home Warranty. They make every excuse NOT to cover something and when they do, they give you discounted “wholesale” value, which the public at large can’t access, so there is a large financial gap of out of pocket expenses. I am appealing a denial, and when it’s over. I’m changing companies. It's not worth the value or aggravation.

After purchasing Choice Home Warranty for 3 years for two homes for several thousand dollars about 10 months ago, I have finally made the first claim on one of the homes. This pretty much turned, and is turning more and more into a disaster. My pool heater was making noise and was in need of repair. They sent out a technician who diagnosed that he needed to replace two items and the Heater would be fixed. Choice approved his report and he returned to install the two items but the heater kept on making noise. The technician stated that the problem was the heat exchanger and he said that it is the main part of the heater and that the heater needs to be replaced and put that in his report to Choice.
After several days I received a reply from Choice who denied the claim and told me it needed flushing?? and that I didn't take care of the heater and they don't cover that.. I reviewed the owners manual for the heater and it stated no maintenance required. Looking further I saw that the water chemistry was critical to heaters' stability and I have my pool service company check and maintain water chemistry weekly. I wrote to technicians company about the claim denial and they sent me the technicians report and told me there was no "flushing" required or spoken of and that they had not received Choice denial report. Since I live in California, I forwarded my "denial of their denial" to the State Insurance Commisioner as instructed to do by Choice. I am awaiting their reply..

You set up an appt and the man didn't show up. I called you, then he called and was very nasty on the phone. He lied to you that he had tried to call me, I have an iPhone, no call. I am a 76 year old widow and he had my address. I was very scared. He said get someone else. I called Choice and they said I could get someone I knew and get reimbursed. Your delay in service repair is not timely when it is a matter of emergency. Just because you don’t have many technicians in an area. Let or allow the customer to find an adequate technician to perform the job and settle with that technician. If it is at all possible, why do I have to go find a hotel room to take a shower so that I can go to work if I don’t have water in my home when I told you that intake pipe inside the house has burst. I have an 18 year old Central unit and have had this policy for 3 years and told, "Don't worry. They will cover any expenses." My heater in the unit went out and the person they sent told me it was normal wear and tear. The Choice case manager said the tech told them it was because of no maintained. I ask her to have a 3 way call which she would not do so they both are stating different versions. I was told to get a second opinion which I did and they said which they denied. I have had the policy for 3 years and never had to use until now. Paid for this as they told me to do if I wanted to appeal and then told me they were going with their technician's report. Never would I ever recommend Choice warranty!!! The case manager was so very rude. This is a horrible company!!!!

My dryer wasn't properly heating. The technician communicated his time frame of arrival the day before. The day of, he called me shortly before he arrived in enough time for me to meet him. Midland Air were very fast to respond and set up a time within 12 hours. They were courteous and were happy to answer all my questions. The Technicians inspected the entire system. They took pictures of my evaporator coils and were happy to show me that the coils were clean, which is comforting. They found that the refrigerant was low about 3 pounds, but could not locate any leaks. They went through each possible options and made sure I understood. They injected Easyseal Ultimate-ls into the system, and to this day, the system blows cold and runs less than an hour or two per day. Thank you Choice... for sending knowledgeable and courteous contractors which exceeded my expectations.

The appointment was set up, but because I had a pumping leakage, I thought that five days was too long to wait. I have to keep turning the water off at the street. But after the plumber came, it was taken care of really fast. If there is a plumbing issue, it should be taken care of as soon as possible.
