Washer problem started Sunday Dec 24th, tech came out Thursday Dec 28th. Tech concluded the computer board was bad, needed replacement. He notified Choice and they responded with $343 towards a new washer in a Lowe's ecard. I agreed to this and I am waiting for the ecard to arrive, the response said up to 30 days. This I find unacceptable, 30 days really, I have now been without a washer for 11 days and going to laundromat. We'll see how long the ecard takes. So far the experience has been positive.

Guys did an good job fixing main toilet. I showed them a second toilet. They said it needed all new insides which I had bought. They said I had to call and make another appointment for that toilet. Makes me think the company is all about getting extra money when the job could have been done while they were already there. Was disappointed. Thank you.

It was very easy to place a claim once I got a live rep, bot could not understand me and I speak perfect English. However a lot of background noise after being transferred to a rep. I had to keep asking the rep to repeat the information he was giving me due to this noise. We will see what happens when the repair man contacts me.

I am happy to return as a customer of Choice Home Warranty. I have used your service in the past and discontinued when I moved to a new location because a warranty came with the home. As soon as it ended, I wanted to switch back to your company. I was very pleased in the past.

The tech came out who was excellent but it turns out the washer was in essence, Totaled, so the washer needs to be replaced. This is where the unhappiness with your service starts. First, you valued the washer incorrectly, it's a front load and you had it as a top load. I believe this was not a mistake but a way to pay as little as possible. Second, the valuation of the washer is only 50% of what the washer will cost. Third, I will not see the money for the washer for almost 30 days, due to the billing process. This disgusts me. And fourth, we are forced to buy the washer at Lowe's, which limits me from buying a washer before the 30 days. I find this to be very restrictive. The bottom line is this warranty service is only good for the A/C and heater. It's better to buy the 3 year warranty with Lowe's so you don't get screwed like I just did.

The repair person was on time and called before he arrived. He went over the problem and fixed the problem in record time. Thank goodness it wasn't too difficult. The repair person was courteous, and covered his shoes when he arrived, which I appreciated since we don't wear shoes in the house. Before leaving he explained the problem and what he did to fix the washer.

I put in a claim for water heater and was denied. I am new with this company and this is the 2nd time I had to use them and I have not been happy either time. I am in the process of trying to get this appealed. I just don't understand how it is not covered when it states that it is, why am I paying for this warranty when nothing is covered. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone. Once my contract is up I will be leaving this company.

Very professional and courteous experience. The plumber showed up and completed the service in a timely manner and cleaned up after he finished. I'm very satisfied with the work. I would recommend this company to friends and family members. Joe which was the technician explained the reason I was having this issue and what he was going to do to resolve the problem.

Your Quick Response on arranging a Technician is very appealing. This was arranged in less than 12 hours. I'm expecting a call from the Technician any time soon. Once this work order is completed then I will be in a better position to give more recommendations for this Home Warranty Co.

It took some time to work through all the particulars of my new account. Michael ** took the time to thoroughly explain the policy, coverages, and discounts that Choice Home offered. He was patient with me and that is appreciated. I have experienced policies with other contractors so I needed to make sure. Mr. ** was very professional and I feel this will be a great home coverage company to align with. Mr. ** also reminded me that Choice is number1!!! LOL. Thank you.

I have had two different warranties on two different homes. I haven’t used this service much but when I did, I was impressed that when I called in a claim for my A/C, I was given a prompt and immediate response. They came out, replaced parts and we were done. I was so impressed that I switched over my other home in another State and received discounts for multiple homes and upfront payment. It saved me money in the long run and peace of mind.

Now as far as the tech that came to the house he was awesome and did a great job. But as far as dealing with Choice I am not satisfied at all. The Tech gets 5 stars but Choice gets 2. It's been almost 2 months since the tech was here and I have to finish the process myself. Not happy at all. This rating is only temporary, it could change after I finish the claim. We shall see

The process for filling a new claim is very seamless and easy. I was able to file a new claim on my phone on the website for my heating system issues and CHW had an appointment set up within an hour of me filling my claim. Would recommend to a friend

Being a Choice Home Warranty customer has been a roller coaster. You have to schedule everything online. It's relatively easy to schedule, but it's very hard to talk to someone. I don't like that I can't talk to somebody. I had an issue with one of my appliances and they wouldn't fix it because they said it was my fault. There was no way that it was my fault. The service person that came out just gave a false report. I spent $500 to fix it out of my pocket. Choice didn't cover anything. That was my washing machine. It's a front load, and there was a hole in the gasket where the water drains and goes out. I have a drawer underneath the washer, and water was getting down in there.
When the service person came out, this big round thing that has a funnel where the water goes down and out had a slit in it. I think it was defective from the factory. It's just my husband and me. We don't have anything in our pockets that would physically be able to go down that hole and cut a slit in that little tube part. They were saying that I had left something in my pockets and that was what caused the leak. There was no way that anything could go down that hole and cut a slit in the rubber. This isn't paper-thin. It's a good thickness. After that, I tried to cancel our home warranty, which ended up benefiting us because I had an issue with my dryer. They did repair that, but trying to cancel the policy is a nightmare because they told me they canceled it, but they kept billing us. So, I wouldn't recommend them.
The repairman that came out for the dryer was very nice. He explained things to me and showed me what was wrong with it, and it was a belt on the dryer. He said sometimes they will make noise after they're repaired. He said I can call him directly and he would come out and put another belt on it if it was noisy. It wasn't noisy at all initially, but it was noisy after he repaired it, but it seemed the belt got acclimated. The man who came out for my washer was from Sears. He was rude. I'd ask him a question and he would just be very curt and short about it.
I was asking the person who came out to repair the dryer about how they decide who comes out and who doesn't, and he said that Sears and somebody else are contacted first. They send their repair request out to either one of them and if they don't want it, then it trickles down. The guy who repaired the dryer said they just get the leftovers. I hate to say that there's coercion between Sears and Choice Warranty that they will say, "Well, the customer caused this." They can say anything, and there's no way I can dispute it.
Another time, I had an issue with the toilet. It wasn't flushing. My husband is in a wheelchair, and he can only use one bathroom that's in the master bathroom, and that was the toilet that wasn't flushing. They scheduled me a week out to get that toilet repaired. When I went to cancel, I explained, "Well, you should have called back and let us know. When I talked to the person about scheduling it, I informed them of the situation.” She tried to put the blame on me by saying, "Well, you should have done this and you should have done that." Even if my husband wasn't in a wheelchair, that is ridiculous. They can't tell me all the plumbers in the city of Houston are all slammed and can't get out here sooner than that.

After filing the claim with Choice Home, I receive an email stating that my claim has been rejected. Which leads me to feel unsupported. How can a warranty service not service a claim with a home. This must be changed, especially when it’s a newer home. The roofing was helpful and insightful but choice home did not support me much.

I phoned in a request for a recheck on a washing machine repair. But nothing has happened yet. The washing machine is doing the same thing it was doing before. The drum is banging around. The original repairer said that it was normal, and that the torsion bars that go in it break all the time. But this has been doing it since he made the repair. He was a nice enough guy. He did his job. There's a plastic tray that the washing machine sits in. Everybody puts those plastic trays down and to do the repair, he had to lift the washing machine out of there. When he put it back in, the plastic tray got broken. He pointed it out to me, but he said he couldn't lift the washing machine on his own, which is understandable. So, at certain times, Choice needs to send two repair people rather than just one.
At this point in time, Choice is all right. It's peace of mind if something goes wrong. But I understand how these things work. They're in it to make money. If you put in a heap of claims, they're not gonna be very easy to get along with because then they wouldn't be making any money. So, at this point in time, I'm paying my monthly dues and I'm not putting in a lot of claims, so they're taking care of me.

We had no heat. The technician came and found out the transformer had blown and he had to replace it with a new one. He also found out that the previous Home Warranty Company that we had installed a thermostat wrong and corrected that. We would definitely have them work on our unit again.

I just had a repair done on my stove. The digital controls and the top oven stopped working. So, Choice sent someone and they found one thing wrong. He checked the upper part of the control, and then they had to get a whole new piece and he was back in about three days with the piece. He had to wait for the part. He came back and he was a very nice guy. The oven functions better than when we first bought it. It's about six years old. I told my wife, "Sometimes you had to hit it more than once." Now, you just go near it, and it goes right on. It works much better than when we first bought it. I, overall, was very happy with the experience.

The service technician was professional. He notice the problem immediately. He ask for payment. He proceeded to his truck to call for clearance. He then returned and did the job in a timely manner. I was upset he didn’t have a receipt to give me as I handed him his money. The technician stated I would get an email receipt.

Before I could even fill out the online application, a rep called and walked me through the sign-up. I made my payment and set up automatic payments and the rest is done. The rep was very polite and professional. He made sure I was satisfied with my choice. I felt that he was genuinely concerned with my plan for my home devices. I can rest assured that my coverage meets my needs.

Your customer service was horrible. I called to speak to a supervisor after two calls that ended with no answers from your associates. They said no supervisor was available but said one would call me within two hours. Never got a call. I had major issues over what your sales person told us regarding timely service call out in our area. A lot of promises to sign up. We dropped our last company because of poor customer service. You all appear to be no better.

I shopped around. Choice was only insurer that answered all my questions, gave competing pricing, and no pressure sales. Also, they cover more items then my previous warranty for $200 less a year! The sales person was friendly and looked for the best deal for me. In this day and time savings are rare.

I’ve been receiving emails from CHW for quite some time.. I decided to purchase my home warranty because my daughter has 2 homes with CHW. She referred them because she has been using them for several years. I saw firsthand how efficient they are whenever she needed to utilize their services. So, it made perfect sense to purchase a home warranty from CHW for my home.

Choice Home Warranty never followed through on any claim that I had. I telephoned them countless times and was told every time that someone would call me and arrange a time to come make a repair. This NEVER occurred! They were absolutely unreliable the entire time I had purchased a warranty with them!I’m 64 years old. Never in my 64 years have I ever experienced any business as unreliable, undependable that broke every promise and their word. I would never recommend them to a living soul on Earth!

Very disappointed that my replacement voucher will not be arriving for another 27 days from now. We have already waited 10 days since technician came making a total of almost 6 weeks which I think is unacceptable. I recently changed from a different company and certainly got better service with them. That's leaving us without a cooker for far too long. I am not intending to recommend this company to friends,

Our dishwasher stopped working during the end of the year holidays. Choice Home Warranty had a technician try to repair our dishwasher. After troubleshooting and replacing a part, the technician determined that the dishwasher was unserviceable and needed to be replaced. Thankfully Choice Home Warranty issue us a Lowe's gift card to replace our dishwasher.

Updated on 01/02/2024: I spoke with their resolution department and they refused to refund the money. The rep did misinform me, they take a payment for setting up the account, then they bill when the account takes effect. They did offer a credit for next month but after dealing with them today and reading all the negative reviews when posting mine on all social media, google, yelp, etc. I asked to cancel and send confirmation of the cancellation. Just beware of this company and really research before making any payments.
Original Review: I contacted this company in the middle of November and explained that I was with another company. The representative informed the service wouldn’t take effect until Dec 1, 2023, but I would need to pay now. I confirmed with him this would cover Dec and I wouldn’t be charged again until Jan 2024. He assured me that the payment was for Dec. My bank account has been debited Nov, Dec and Jan. When I call there is always a long hold time. I finally spoke with someone today (Louise) who claims all payments are correct after I explained what has happened. She transfers me to a recording that wants my contact number for a returned call due to high call volume. If I do receive a call I may update this review but right now I don’t trust this company.

I talked to Maurice today and he was professional, helpful and friendly and was a pleasure. I have been an AHS customer for many years but lately I have not been happy with the service I have been receiving from them. I did some research on Home Warranty companies and Choice came up on top. My decision to switch was decided while being helped out by your representative Maurice. Great support every time I call them, good to see they do provide multiple options to get you started with home support system. This will enable you to view your options before you make a decision. The issue hasn't been fixed as we are waiting on the repair parts. I am however, finally convinced that the broken part of my refrigerator is being properly addressed. I am disappointed that Choice didn't send the proper people the first time in SEP and that I have had to pay two $65.00 fees and wait four months to get my refrigerator fixed. This is what happens when a HVAC company is sent for an appliance repair. The second experience was much better with a Sears appliance repair technician quickly troubleshooting the issue and getting repair parts approved and ordered within a matter of 45 minutes. Had they been sent the first time, we would have had a correctly working water dispenser four months ago and saved $65.00. We are excited for the final repair on 11JAN2024.

I have a dishwasher that you have determined is not worth repairing. I understand that is your right as the warranty company. Then I also accepted your very low payment of $246 to compensate me for my broken dishwasher. I need a dishwasher today; I received the information that my $246 payment that only can be used at Lowe’s will be received within 30 days by email. This is not what I was looking for when I chose your company. Your response time has been excellent. The technician was excellent. I agree with the statement that the dishwasher should not be repaired. Where I find, I have a problem is in the extremely low payment and how long it will take to receive it. Nowhere near what a dishwasher cost to replace.
This payment is being made by email, I do not believe that it takes 30 days to process it. Although I would not be able to buy a dishwasher for $246; today, January 2 there are deals available that would put it in range. My problem is this, the point of the home warranty is to save a customer from having to pay out-of-pocket expenses. I am going to go buy my own dishwasher today then I will receive a payment for Lowe’s later. I do not shop at Lowe’s. This is really disappointing. I am a sales agent for real estate and I am desperately searching for a home warranty company that does what it implies it does. I guess I have not found it.

Jack was our technician. He was knowledgeable, diligent and hardworking. He was easy to talk to and ask questions. He got the job done in a timely manner. Full disclosure, he was our technician around a year earlier, so we were glad to see him return. He arrived within the promised time frame. We would absolutely welcome him back in the future for needed work. We have been satisfied with the work performed.

Mark seemed very knowledgeable. Appointment timely. Need to wait for a part, but Mark was confident that the problem will be resolved. Had different home warranty previous with very unsatisfactory experiences. This claim appears to be a very different and more satisfactory result. Part should be here in about a week and expecting a working dryer.

At first, everything was going well, but these last two months, it's been almost impossible for Choice Home Warranty to get technicians out. Half of the time, they couldn't find me a contractor, so I had to use my own means. I sent a request for plumbing a month ago. The plumber called me two weeks later, but then when I tried to coordinate with the admin for that claim, they contacted Choice saying that they didn't feel comfortable with all the paperwork. Choice Home Warranty said they’d reach out again during the 48 hours and I still haven't heard back even though they've escalated it. I tried to speak to a manager, but they said they'll just tell me the same thing. Meanwhile, I got the parts needed, then I paid out of my own pocket for a plumber. There's a reimbursement, and I'll look into it.

Appointment made on Tuesday, 26th Dec; technician did not show up until Friday. Quick assessment found broken plastic pieces for the top rack. Parts needed to be ordered. Choice Warranty emailed that repair is not authorized after the $75 fee is already paid. So, we paid for a home warranty for the whole year, plus the service call fee for nothing! What a deal!!! Never again!

Living on a fixed income, it makes it very difficult for excessive expenses. The warranty with the monthly fee is much easier for me to budget. That’s the laminating a one time paying out for repairs. My initial contact was positive and informative. The phone was answered immediately. I had several questions. Those were all answered to my satisfaction. I don’t really have questions about the body of the warranty, and also about the cost of the warranty. All my questions were answered satisfactory.

I am seriously thinking about leaving this company. They take your monthly payment. Send businesses to your house for the job and half the time it’s a half ** job or (Choice) refused to pay for the job. That it’s not under their guidelines. It’s a wear and tear. My repair man very professional. Easy to understand. When telling me what was wrong with my machine he even used diagrams to explain. Sears repair awesome! Choice home warranty awesome too! A10/10. This is why are hands down the best home warranty. I will stay a customer for years to come.

Just about every claim I submit has been denied. The contractors are very lackadaisical. They do not even try to solve the problem or they come ill equipped to handle the situation. They put words in your mouth and they ask for cash. This experience has been the worst ever. I would not recommend because it is not worth the money.

Turo has been a great help. Way cheaper than dealing with your traditional car rental services. App is easy to use and has a wide variety of people hosting just about any car you'd like/need. Would thought change being able to send license earlier so verification can be done quicker than 24hrs.

Technician was very knowledge of the part and repaired it very quickly, had it working again in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty for any repair. I have used their service for over 2 years and have had repairs done to my air conditioning, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine. Appointments were promptly made, and repairs done as soon as parts were received which were shipped directly to me.

Great technician! Very prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. Explained everything he did and why he was doing it. Called later to check on his work. Cleaned both machines as he worked on them. I enjoyed him working on my machines. Good guy! You need more techs like this guy. I would highly recommend this gentleman to my friends.

Have been waiting over 3 weeks to have a leaking shower repaired. Communication with Choice and the repair companies has not been good. I have problem communicating with Choice customer service recordings. I am a senior citizen and it would be nice to talk to a live person with in 1 to 2 hours.

Have had to have several repairs on various appliances and have had any major problems. Easy to make a claim online and set up an appointment. Had one claim that the thought was that it wasn't normal wear and tear. Did contest and they reconsidered. In the end the manufacturer removed the broken part as they had many complaints about it being broken. The dishwasher works perfect without it. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a Home Warranty.

Claim was reviewed and approved quickly. A tech was assigned within a day and he came out to check the issue. After approval, the tech called the next day to install the heater. Just a few days from claim submission to completion of the job! There were some glitches to make the install code compliant and to get the water heater into the smaller space but Jesse at Drain Busters handled it all so efficiently-he did a great job!

Wade plumbers were on time and took a look at the problem quickly and determined what needs to be done. They called Choice and got approval within 15 minutes and finish the job in a quick and professional manner. There was no charge for all the work that they did.

I call but your response center didn’t get my response at the first time I had to yell in order to understand me and make me mad. The problem was that my microwave door broke and I need to have it repaired and it was difficult to place the claim.

Mr ** came in. Was having a hard time but stuck with it. Trying several different ways that did not work. He kept working the clog and all of a sudden we heard the clog popped loose. He was very professional and I recommend H&H for anything you need. I hope we don’t ever have issues like this again but if we do I would want them to come out.

It took a bit too long to replace/repair and it was a bit costly with the not-covered cost, long time between communication with assigned assessors, and had to result to emails to finally get my answers. The assigned technician only replaced one pipeline and a couple of rubber washers inside the old lines that supposedly were to be replaced and then charged us $390.00 anyway. Finally at the end we got the water heater replaced, so we are otherwise happy with the final results.

The company contracted by Choice, Thayer Electric, specifically the technician, Ray did an exceptional job in identifying and correcting the issue with outlet problems. He explained what he was inspecting and took action to fix the problem. Choice selected the right company! Highly recommend Choice and those they contract to correct your house warranty problem.

The technician was great BUT the issue is not fixed. He showed where he got a text from you asking for possible cause of problem and he showed me his response when your rep said they got no response. Meanwhile my refrigerator part is not on order because he has not gotten approval from you.

I had an air conditioner problem in Sept. on the 13. Optimum Air conditioning came and changed, the thermostat and the air worked. On December 29, I turned on the heat, the thermostat said heat on but was blowing cold air. Thermostat was at 65, went down to 58. I called Choice, yesterday AZHVAC came out. Took off the thermostat. Asked if I had a heat pump. I said no. He went out and looked at my unit, came in and said the thermostat was programmed for a heat pump, switched it and I have heat, technician from AZHVAC knew what he was doing, guess Optimum never checked to see if the heat would work also.

I am glad that I decided to switch HW companies. The previous company came with the purchase of the home and they were horrible. It was very difficult to get anyone out to my area in a timely manner. It would take days sometimes weeks and I would get a call saying no one was available to come out as if that was ok to tell someone who knows this is a service for which you were paid. Even though the other company had been paid, I did some research and I found Choice. They have been the total opposite. Choice dispatched technicians out so fast I had to cancel and reschedule.
The technicians were so understanding. They worked with me, kept me posted via text and still got out to me quickly. They were also very professional and courteous. It's clear that Choice takes their role seriously and is dedicated to earning a valuable reputation. They have done exactly that with me. Thank you so much Choice. In a day and time where customer service is almost extinct, you are greatly appreciated. My refrigerator works like new!

I have had three other home warranties in the past 10 years and the other three cannot compare. This is the second time I have needed to use my Choice Home Warranty Plan and all I can say is that it is all around the best warranty service! I spoke to an agent immediately, when I called on Christmas Eve morning, I received an email from the contractor Christmas evening for an appointment, the contractor was at my house on Wednesday to diagnose the problem with my furnace, the contractor came out Thursday 2 times to get my furnace up and running. I do have to mention the response time for Choice to approve the work was amazingly fast! As I said before, Choice Home Warranty is the ULTIMATE!

I would not recommend Choice home warranty. If I could get money back for the seller who purchased this warranty, I would get it back for them. This warranty was a waste of money at closing. Choice home warranty does not have a customer service line, and does not respond to any of the ‘contact us’ emails you may send. The technicians do not get the proper contact number for how to reach me. The number given is all 9s and the appointment is not made with my schedule or the technician in mind. This has been a terrible ordeal. This warranty is horrible.

System would not allow me to file 2 heating units in my house- which caused delays in handling. Once claims were set up and inspection done, parts were ordered from out of town, even though they were available locally and we have children and elderly at the home. Choice opted to save a few bucks over our safety. Weekend and Holiday are now further delaying the repairs. Attempted to talk to supervisor about issues and “Stella” never bothered to call me. Service has been less than mediocre. Have been a Choice customer for years and renewed with multiple year policy, but will reconsider our decision.

Vendor showed up within the time window. Very professional and polite. He looked at the unit and said the pan is damaged and needs to be replaced. He was unsure because he doesn't know if it will be covered. Said the office would review with Choice Home Warranty. Once they get a decision, they'd get back to us. I haven't heard anything back from them. Based on the policy, it should be a covered repair. So now the Issue is whether this is a covered item or not per Choice Home Warranty. Would like to know one way or the other.

The email I received was suppose to renew not start a new policy. Now I have been charged twice. And money returned and now charged a third time and not refunded. Another rep transferred me and did not tell me. This is a terrible experience! I have been on phone for hours.

To say I am dissatisfied and disappointed in Choice Warranty is putting it mildly. My washer broke on 11-3-23 and I submitted a claim the next day. A repair man came out pretty quickly and we were told it may be hard to get parts.I received a refurbished part approximately 3 wks later and was told more were coming. Never received any other parts and I just kept being told give us 24-48 hours, I was the one who did all the follow up. On 12-29-23 I got an email saying they couldn't repair it and they offered me money in the form of a Lowe's gift card that will take 30 day to receive.
I have been without a washer since 11-3-23 and I still have to wait 30 more days, this is so unacceptable. It has cost me a fortune going to the laundromat and your company could care less. I am so unhappy with your customer service. This is not the first time I have been dissatisfied. Most times you don't even have any technicians to come out and I have to find my own. My last experience I had to get my own repair person and I never even got reimbursed, apparently you never got the bill I sent in and then it was too late. I have never had such a bad experience with a warranty company!

Was sold a bill of goods. I want to cancel immediately. Wasn't what we agreed to. Was told 65 service charge. And same day service. I also called no less than 10 times and can’t get a hold of anybody except your claim department. Left a message for the sales guy as well. Multiple times. I think his name is Dale but when you lie to people why would you give your real name. I want to cancel. I also called my credit card company and filed the fraud charge. I’ll be glad to talk to somebody ** but in the meantime, I don’t wanna do business with you guys ever.

Submitted claim and appoinment was scheduled within an hour. Tech came quickly and was very professional. Did trouble shooting and repair in very short time. I was pleased with Choice Home Warranty and the company they contacted for the issue to be resolved. We just moved to the area, so I would not have known any dependable service companies to call.

The repairmen from Epic Mechanical Services arrived at stated time and asked me what type of problem that I was having with the unit. At that point they started testing various wiring systems in the unit. Once the faulty system was found they quickly repaired the unit to a satisfactory working order. Job well done.

The service tech was wonderful. He came to the house twice. Had to obtain parts he didn’t have. Overall he spent considerable time and made sure it was working before he left. A wonderful gentleman. As a matter of fact he didn’t finish the job until 7 pm or later.

Choice Warranty does not care about its customers. It took almost a whole month to send a technician to fix my claim. I would have to call pretty much everyday just to keep my claim a priority to have them find a technician. They had no issues taking my money when they sold me the policy but they do not hold up their end when it comes to needing something fixed.

On Christmas Day and when everything is closed, my garbage disposal decided to have a leak, sent a repair request assuming it's going to take at least a week, but within 3 days I got a new garbage disposal installed. During all the wait period their customer service were in constant communication with me.

They were quick to respond and find a plumber for me. He is very knowledgeable in his work. Luckily the problem revised itself and when he called I did not need him for that specific job. I cancelled the job with CW and they were quick to respond with the cancellation.

We have submitted two claims. First one they could not find anyone so we were told to find our own - then when we submitted claim it was denied. 2nd claim refrigerator was going out - past 4 days and still no appointment - when you ask about claim get same canned text - looking for a reasonable appoint time but they do not tell you what reasonable time is - also tried to contact sales rep who sold us the policy. No answer and when we call company no one know who he is. You pay your premium every month thinking we have coverage - and you get nothing for your money - also when I did call you are never able to escalate and talk to a supervisor. The employees taking call have just can text answers and never able to transfer.

Tech scheduled quickly, was timely, and professional. He explained what the problem was and expected repair window. CHW totally a disappointment. I'm currently looking at other companies. Their total lack of commitment to the customer is cynical and disgusting. They attempted to get me to accept a $389 Lowe's gift card instead of repairing or replacing my stove.
After requesting a review, they increased the amount to $612, which is definitely not enough to replace my stove, purchased in April 2019. When I requested an escalation to his supervisor (nicely, of course), he informed me that he was the superior. I then asked for information on requesting arbitration, as specified in the contract, and he told me that I was on my own. I have filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General. I have, and will continue to leave honest reviews about my experience with CHW. The reviews are definitely not flattering. My biggest regret is that I recommended this company to family and friends.

My garbage day was leaking. Within 5 days Dan from Oregon Environmental Services came out and replaced it. Dan was friendly and did a great job. He brought everything he needed with him so I didn’t have to wait for him to get parts. Would definitely have OES come out again if I have a plumbing problem.

I had to call Choice for their services twice in the last six weeks. The first one was for a combination washer and dryer problem and it was fine. The second time, it was the washer that went dead and the repair guy said it was a simple fix. I put the claim in on December 3rd and the parts didn't come. When the servicemen said they were coming, I said I didn’t have the parts and they said there was some confusion with the address.
So, I gave them a new address. I live in a gated community, I have two addresses, one for letters and mail, and one for packages that come in. And you have to put both of them in there. The service people from Sears only put in the top address, which is nonexistent as far as the post office is concerned because UPS and FedEx use the emergency 911 numbers that are assigned to the house because they're easier to find. And UPS never goes to the mailbox. The people in the post office should have recognized our name and got it taken care of, and we’re in there often enough. But instead, they shipped it back two times.
There was no way you could call to explain what the problem was. I tried calling Sears, which was the service group that Choice sent out. And trying to go to Choice, I got a recorded message. It was a phone tree and you push a number but none of it was applicable. The people who came out from Sears were excellent. The last one was Shane and I explained the situation to him. He said he would make some phone calls and see if he could find the parts on one of the other trucks. And he did. If it wasn't for his extra effort, my machine still wouldn't be working.
One other time, I dealt with Choice for the water heater and they didn't have anybody in the area that worked on water heaters. I found the guy and then we put the paperwork in for them to get paid. That was long and involved as well, and it should have been straightforward. I'm not dissatisfied with Choice, necessarily, although they didn't have an option for me to physically talk to somebody. I am dissatisfied with who they chose, which was Sears, and I would never use them again. But I don't know if I had that option.

I always get a prompt response from Choice Home Warranty, usually within a few minutes after placing claim. Sometimes the technician that accepts the job will reschedule more than once. All other experience with the company has been good. I have had my dryer worked and central air worked on.

The representative was timely, professional, and able to resolve all my issues on the first visit. I would definitely recommend him and hope that when I have an issue he is the one that returns to my home and fix the issues. What I do not appreciate and like has nothing to do with the representative that showed up at my home. My negative to Choice Warranty is being charged a fee twice for the same product (GE) and at the same time. It isn’t as if they left my home and returned a different day.

I would like to say I was quite surprised by the way Choice took care of my issue. They responded with a very good plumber and once the plumber got here in a very short time and it was during the Christmas, New Year's holidays. They responded to two anchors plumbers within minutes of evaluation of the problem and it was okayed. Two anchors was back within days to do the repairs and did an excellent job. I’m happy I had choice warranty

I live in a Rural part of Montana and I switched to Choice due to dissatisfaction with my previous warranty company, American Home Shield. I had a problem with the microwave and the technician (from Sears) came on time. He was very professional and made diagnosis to find out some parts are broken and needed to be ordered. He ordered them immediately and set another appointment to finish the fix. It was a pleasant experience and I recommend him. I just hoped the next appointment was closer or if not, get a temporary solution until this is fixed because otherwise I will have to live without a microwave for about a month.

Plumber called me stating that I was the next stop and informed me with a second call when he was 10 minutes away. Plumber was very courteous and did a very good job identifying the leak by readjusting my garbage disposal and locking it in place. He then proceeded with any additional leaks.

I felt that Choice was very easy to work with upfront... Called and they kept me in the loop but then the company they hired to fix the problem did not want to work with Choice and would not do as they asked. I called them and I think Choice did also but still nothing. So after 3 months, I paid the bill so it would not go against my credit.. I then submitted the invoice to Choice and they would not pay it, since I paid it. I called support and I was ready to cancel... They let me know that it really wouldn't be worth it, because what they would refund me was minimal and if something happened again that it would cover a lot more than what I could get on the refund. So I kept it and now I have a contact to call when something does go wrong, so I don't have to go through all these hoops.. Thank you for your help and listening to me.

Brett from Crow was here yesterday and fixed our problem. He was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly and just a nice guy. We recommend his company 100%! Alberto explained everything very clearly, and answered all my questions. Alberto even went as far as finding me a cheaper price for the service. I like the fact that they are situated in Florida not overseas. Will you get someone that you can barely understand them. Their dispatch time is between three and seven hours which I feel is outstanding. Since I just bought the policy yesterday, of course I haven’t used it yet. As long as I received the service, they claim I will receive this would be a nice company to work with.

Technician showed me pictures of my air conditioner which I had not seen before. Will call him again when my unit needs maintenance. My second experience was much better than my first one when you couldn't find a technician and I had to pay out of pocket for the charges and did not get reimbursed. Cortinas and Sons were very polite and professional. Came in and resolved problem quickly. Explained what the issue was and fixed. CHW opening a claim was too difficult with automated voice recognition not recognizing and sending me in a loop several times. It took 4 calls and 2 days to get a work order open.

CHW is reliable. But I've had issues with them. My most recent claim was for the water heater. The water heater itself was under its own warranty also. They came out, inspected it for $65, said, “Yes, the water heater is bad.” I had to get another water heater. I paid them the money for the water heater. But I ended up paying $100 out of my pocket. I told them, “I'm not supposed to be paying anything. I should get my money back.” But they never did that. They just kept saying that it was covered under its own warranty. They also paid me to go out and buy another microwave. The cheapest microwave even that they stated was 199, and they only gave me 196. Why didn't they give me 199 when that was the cheapest one you could buy? Then she mentioned retail. I can't get retail.

Had a right door closing issue. Tech ordered new magnetic seal. Also thought we had a Master circuit card problem, but tech noticed some sparking on the wall electrical box that may have been the cause. Owner will have the box checked to ensure there was no refrig master circuit card issue first.

Boris from One Drop Plumbing is the BEST. I had a water leak and the other #2 Plumbing Contractors, "I FIRED" that told me it was the drain from the sink & dishwasher to the sewer behind the cabinet wall. They wanted to put in a new cleanout and break my house plaster plus cut out my cabinets to put in new piping to the sewer. ** Boris found out that it was a leaking Air Gap & Faucet Sprayer on the kitchen sink. He put in a new Faucet with sprayer in faucet {NICE} with a new Air Gap and new Hot Water Valve. FINISHED, NO MORE WATER LEAKS. *** Boris saved me about $2,000 + because he was an Experienced Plumber & Home Owner...

Had 2 different techs come out to look at our AC/Heat pump. Both techs said same thing, fan and module bad. This is a York Heat pump that is warrantied to the original purchaser for 10 years. A 2014 unit. I bought the house in 2022. York Warranty paperwork clearly says warranties are NON-TRANSFERABLE. The claims lady doesn't accept the data sheet and claims it is indeed still under warranty. Won't accept the NON-TRANSFERABLE part. Awful company and I will not renew and my real estate wife will steer all of her clients away from Choice.

Choice assigned Chesterfield Mechanical to fix the problem and were very professional and helpful as was Choice itself. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I joined Choice Home Warranty earlier this year after a horrendous experience with Home Warranty of America. Just this past month (December) my ejector pump failed and my tub started filling up with water when showering. I opened a claim on 12/21. A tech was dispatched for 12/26. On 12/27 both replacement/repair was done! No hassle, no going back and forth. Just straightforward saw the problem and fixed it. I am grateful and they have my respect.

This was a model experience with a home warranty! Our garage door opener was inoperable and the door could not be opened manually. I am pleased with my initial claim. The technician was friendly and helpful. He explained the situation and apologized that he couldn’t fix it that day due to approval. I pay close to $1000 a year on a school teacher’s salary for this service. Of course, when I need it you decline my claim. I’m disappointed.

Our dryer stopped heating on Christmas Eve, contacted Choice Home Warranty on a Sunday. Christmas day I had an appointment for Wednesday. The service tech called and stated he would be 30 minute early if that was ok. He showed up diagnosed issue, actually had the part in his van. Installed part, tested dryer, cleaned up thanked us and departed. Dryer works like new, tech was great!

I have had three different Home Warranty companies over the last 5 years and I would not recommend them to anyone. They have hidden agendas that ends up costing you the customer. I spoke to one of the salesmen for Choice and was impressed on the responses. The hidden items offered with the other home warranty companies was spelled out with Choice and I felt I knew what I was getting for a change.

Bad policy company, when they can't supply a tech, tell you to find your own, and then refuse to reimburse you. Terrible company, poor management, and deserve to be taken to the cleaners. Clearly their liability policy premiums will be on the increase, until they get hit with a big punitive decision that their carriers won't pay.

The tech that came here from Sassaman was great, but he explained that he would have to put it through Choice Warranty. OF COURSE YOU TURNED IT DOWN. We have used this warranty maybe 5 times in the last 5 years and each time was crap. How is a jacuzzi bathtub supposed to work without a replacement heater. A plumber from a company called CRS was able to replace a part in a toilet that connects to the toilet handle, but said the handle itself he couldn't replace because you turned it down. EVERY SINGLE TIME WE GET horrible horrible customer service from your company. I just got the estimate from Sassaman and they are quoting $565 (not sure if this is labor and part so we have to call). What a scam you're running.

This was my first service request with “Choice” and was a big disappointment! Also setting up a service request is very difficult because there is so much background noise!!! Choice Home Warranty emailed a day & time for service. The service company wasn't even open that day. I phoned many times attempting to contact the service company without reaching anyone. CHW did this to me once before. I am disappointed that they are still setting up appointments and notifying customers without verifying with the service company that the appointments were available.

I submitted my claim for my furnace not working on a Wednesday afternoon, Dec 20, 2023. I did not see a technician until the following Tuesday, December 26, 2023! No heat in the winter (and on Christmas) for almost a full week. We I called to inquire, so they could say was "sorry, you'll have to wait" but they have no problem taking my payment every month for 12 years! The tech who finally came out was AWESOME, but Choice was horrible.

The HVAC technician that came out to diagnose and fix the issue was very thorough. He determined the problem and was able to get the parts needed to fix the problem approved by the warranty company quickly and repaired the unit. He was very knowledgeable and polite and explained everything he found with the unit while he was working on it.

Initial contact was good. I haven’t experienced anything until I use your service. The cost was comparable and lower than some other home warranties I’ve used. So far I’m pleased. I received and reviewed my contract on a timely basis. The agent gave me his individual contact information, to include his first name and direct Extension. He also offered incentives to encourage multiple year contract, which I didn’t choose to do having done so in the past and regretting same.

Technician was very kind and seemed well versed in HVAC. Unit didn’t make any noise like it did when I made the claim. He checked everything out and said it was working up to par. Took off panel to look inside at the components and everything was working like it should when he hooked up his readers. Seemed to be new to Choice Home Warranty because he didn’t know how long it was to come back for the warranty to cover it incase it started making the noise again. Overall, we were very pleased with the service.

Choice Home Warranty is truly a Godsent! I can't imagine anybody having a home with appliances that doesn't have Choice Home Warranty. I have submitted at least ten claims to CHW and every contractor that has come to my house, has surpassed my expectations. Today I submitted a claim for a dryer that needed a heating element. Within two hours of submitting my claim, the dryer was working again! When an appliance fails, I don't get a panic attack anymore; I just contact CHW:)

Denied claim with no explanation. When I asked for an explanation I received different reasons from various reps I spoke to. Finally, they told me they don’t cover heat pumps. It would have been nice to know this a month and one half ago when all this started. Will not be renewing as the service is too slow with little information. Why have insurance?

The Tech got the heat pump working, and that was good, but now it is still not operating as it should and he is being called back to further repair the unit. The unit does not continue to operate on auto when set for that, but goes to high and then shuts down until it's way colder than it's set for before coming back on.

Upon placing claim for repair CHW responded promptly. Listened and recorded problem. The person who answered the call was courteous and professional. The correct repair company responded and set appointment for assessment and work was completed in 2 days from initial contact. The service Technician that came out was professional and respectful. The service Technician did an awesome job. I told the service Technician the ice maker stopped producing ice. He said to me when the repair is completed the ice maker will start back making ice. I’m just starting this coverage so I have not used it yet. However, from a pricing standpoint, it is way better than American Home Shield. I didn’t line by line comparison, and it appears to be equal to what I currently have for a substantially lower monthly cost. My expectation is that the service will be equal. I would definitely recommend this to others. These plans get to be very expensive so this appears to be a good value for the money.

I have been with Choice Home Warranty for 10 years. Overall the experience is average. There are times that it takes several attempts to get a service repair person to contact me or I have to find a repair person. I'm still annoyed that my water heater wasn't covered although my ex-husband's water heater was covered and it was the same issue (we also had the same repair guy). What's covered depends on the customer rep that is assigned to the repair. This year I'm renewing my policy but not happy that Choice won't honor my co-pay that I've had for 10 years. It seems that loyalty doesn't really get rewarded anymore.

Tech came, diagnosed, submitted, replaced next day. All as it should be and without issue. This is what every experience should be. Expectation should be nothing less. The fact we reward doing the job properly these days instead of it being the norm and minimum expectation is absurd. I did not give a 5 as tech left some grease on my heater housing. I just painted and scuffed it up using as a bench. Could have thrown a rag down. Otherwise perfect execution.

Even though I wasn’t able to get an appointment for 10 days (it was during holiday season), the repairman came on time, was personable and very knowledgeable. He repaired the garage and told me how to maintain and oil my garage door to keep it operational. Very pleased with Cooper Garage and will recommend them.

The first plumber you dispatched was one of the worst I've ever experienced. He never showed for the first appointment. I attempted to call him three times and went to voice mail each time. When I called CHW, the customer service representative placed me on hold while she attempted to contact the plumber. She ended up emailing him. The next day, the plumber rescheduled the appointment, he never showed up. When I asked for a different plumber, the customer service rep started to tell me what the proper procedure was and she refused to obtain a new plumber. I called back the following day and explained what happened, he switched plumbers and the new plumbers were very good.

I will not recommend this company to anyone else for home warranty service. Their customer service portion is sorely lacking. Overall, I was very pleased with this experience, based primarily on the excellent efforts of the technician. I filed a claim online and was informed that a technician would be able to inspect the appliance in 3 days. This meant 3 days to inspect, 1 day to get repair approval, 2-3 days to get parts, 1 additional day to install the parts (total estimated time = 7 to 8 days). I called the CHW support line and was told that the job assignment is an automated process and is given to the first technician that responds to the job opportunity, regardless of how long it will take to get to the customer (hours or days).
Online support stated that the job could be reassigned, but that it would take 24 hours and the process is still automated, with assignment to the first tech to respond. I called the tech directly and he went above and beyond to resolve the issue. He altered his schedule and visited at 8:00 PM the same day, ordered the parts and installed them within 2 days. This is exceptional customer service and he is to be commended for his expertise and going the extra mile for me.

I have tried since the beginning of June to get things fixed at my home. They closed an open ticket for my electricity problem without anyone coming to fix it. And made me pay again even though I had already paid one guy when he came to evaluate my problem. They told me in July they couldn’t fix my refrigerator and it’s Christmas now and I’m still waiting for the money they have promised over and over so I can purchase a new one. Original Service date was for 12/22/23, Technician called me on 12/21/23 had an opening and offer to come now. I accepted, he came and I showed him the shower that we were not getting hot water. Choice Home Warranty has people that work for them that are good. For the technician that came out to the house, the experience was very good. He had to buy a part and that took three weeks so I waited all that time. Then he got the part and put it in but the icemaker never got fixed. I was talked into paying $200 a month for a certain amount of months and my contract would last until 2026. But I sold the home, so I didn't need it. After the experience I had, I decided not to use it. I asked for my refund and they said I wouldn't be getting much of a refund. They said I could go ahead and transfer it to the next new owner. That was the only way that they could give me my money back. When I took out the warranty for my house, they had told me that if I should sell it, I would get the money back. I would not recommend Choice.

I was offered 14 months for $682 total and $75 repair fee if someone has to come out by Joseph ** (?). I never got the documents that I pre-paid. They were to be sent to me by email but I got some different offer and no documents. I will discontinue my contract if the documents are not received and they are not what Joseph said they would be.

UPDATED 12/28/2023: Our oven quit working on 12/18 and an appointment was set for 12/22. The service company was a no-call - no-show. Our rescheduled appointment is now Tuesday 1/9; 10 business days after they did not show. My way of thinking is that the appointment that was not made on 12/22 should have been their first appointment the following business day. Service requests that were called in 1-3 days after ours are being given priority over our earlier scheduling for service. They did not contact me to reschedule, I had to go through Choice Home Warranty to reschedule. At this point, our oven will have been out of service for 3 weeks, including the holidays, until someone shows up just to look at it and then order the parts and schedule a return visit which could be another 2 weeks. It's the same repair needed that was done just 10 months ago.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: No call - No show to repair our oven. No oven for Christmas dinner. My wife and adult son were home the entire day waiting for a text from the technician for our 8 AM to 5 PM repair window. It's now 6:30 PM and no one has contacted us. I chose Choice to see what it was like. I didn't see anything negative about them. I used their service last month. I had a repair request and a plumber came out a little before 9:30 and fixed my hot water heater. I was very happy with that. He was gone in about an hour. He had to wait for the okay from the company to clear the repair job.
I initially thought I needed a whole new hot water heater. But he said I just needed to have replaced the thing that ignites the hot water heater and control the temperature valve and all that stuff. He had the part that I needed for my hot water heater on his truck, which I really liked. A lot of times repair people will come to your house and they go, "I don't carry that on my truck. I have to go and get it. And it'll take two or three days." The plumber was very courteous, professional, friendly, and polite. It was a great experience. If I didn't like the service that I got, I was going to cancel. But he was great, so I kept the policy. In fact, I had just renewed it. I'm thrilled with the service that I had.
I'm redoing my house. The city that I live in had been doing some work out here. I was away from the house and they had turned off the gas in the neighborhood. They had put a little placard on the door letting you know that they would turn it off and they would turn it back on. But someone had to be in the house to turn it back on. I didn't know that. I came back to the house. I have gas heating system. The hot water heater was on but it didn't stay. The system was turned off and I was told, "Okay. You need a new valve. But you need to call a plumber...Because you need some new stuff." I was then told that I had a leak on my stove and that had to be turned off totally. I have one of those stoves that have the electronic ignition for the oven.
I'm on a fixed income because I'm a senior citizen. I have to do stuff a little bit at a time. Between today and Friday, I would call and try to make an appointment for next week to get a repairperson to come out. The service fee is $65 fee. But I need to know if it's gonna cost me anything extra if I need a part. My oven wasn't working right. I stopped using it because the thermostat went haywire. It only went up to 250 degrees and then it would blink. I was scared. I thought I smelled gas from time to time. I've got to call American and make an appointment for the day after Christmas for them to call someone out to repair my stove. If that works out, I will probably keep the warranty forever and a day. I’d try to recommend them to people.
The first, I said, "This stuff, this is too expensive. I can't afford this." My husband was military and they gave me a discount. I've made three payments total and they paid for the rest of the year or the next two or three years. I re-upped in June or July and I re-signed up. I'm paid up for two years. I really like that. Looking at it from that point of view where even though those initial three payments were rather expensive, the fact that I didn't have to pay anything else for all the rest of that time, it really is not expensive. Things are good with the cost for the service and quality and all of that stuff.
American Home Shield has different programs and they say which one sounds the best. If you're confused about it, they'll tell you, "This one, if you do such and such, you pay this and you get that and all of that.” They give you a choice. They make a suggestion but they don't pressure you. You make the choice of which contract that you want. I am thoroughly pleased with the service that I received.
American Home Shield calls you from time to time to see how things are going. They'll tell you when you're close to your expiration date. They'll ask you different things and tell you what's available. If they're still offering the same contract, you can get it again. They'll even tell you, "We've got something new that you might like even better."
A lot of times when you're trying to navigate the technology and you don't have the expertise or familiarity with how things go, you press one button and you mess up everything else. That makes you so discombobulated. American Home Shield takes their time explaining and it's not high pressure. A lot of people try to say things and they're fast talking. American Home Shield talks to you in a normal tone and they're excited about the product. That's good. They also make sure that you understand what you're getting. I'm perfectly happy with it.

I called Choice, paid the tech his $75, and haven't heard back yet. They were ordering a part on my microwave. In the past, having the protection plan was pretty good and I recommended a friend of mine to Choice. But it has gotten worse in the last couple of years. One time, I had a plumber tell me that the service was covered, then he told Choice that it wasn't covered. So, they got a lack of honest repair people in the past, but I've had some good ones too. It's a matter of whenever you need somebody, are you going to get somebody who is on the ball?

This is the third time I changed warranty places because of the situation of what they do after you're with them. You would think after you're with somebody after five years, there would be a bit of benefit there that you're confiding in that company or you wouldn't stay around that long. I have no problem with Choice, but I was a little upset that they couldn't tell me that they were raising my monthly thing that I had to find it in my checking when I went for my statement. They are one of the better companies that are out there, though. Choice offers, if you come up with three grand and pay them right away, they would drop my monthly down to $33. But I don't have that kind of cash right now.
A month ago, I had the water heater elements changed. Paid my $75 and what I had to pay. This month, I got my bill because I pay monthly. I used it now, it went up. Other than that, I stayed at the 56.16 every month and it didn't go up over a year and a half. I had to see it on my account when it came in because it's automatically taken out. I didn't know until it did that. And I had to change all my books in my checking account here at home.
Some woman named Jessica kept sending emails from Choice every day about security. I already called and told them. I sent them three emails, telling them I have security and I don't need any more. And they told me they would give me a free month. In the last two weeks, I've been getting emails from Choice wanting to know whether I wanna become a member. "Excuse me, but I think I've been a member for a year and a half, two years now." But I like their program. I liked everything that they did. It was much better than the other situation. I was with the other company for five years, and after I had to use them twice they doubled it the first time and tripled it the second time. That was when I started looking for a different company. But why all of a sudden, after two years, would I be paying Choice 56 a month, and once I used it, it's 66.72?
I just sent Choice an email again about it, but they didn't return anything. When it's something that they don't like, they don't return it. They don't call me back or let me know anything. But as far as when I call them to take it to get the problem or somebody here, that was quick. They worked that way very well, and got the other people here. And the people they sent from Oley was very good.

We are very, very pleased with the responsiveness of this new plumber working for Choice Home Warranty in our area. The previous plumber was not dependable or timely at all. It would be weeks to get things repaired. This was significantly impacting our opinion of Choice. However, this new company, Two Men and a Snake, were completely the opposite. I put in the claim this morning and they were here at 1:40, diagnosed the garbage disposal needed to be replaced, got authorization from Choice and had it replaced this afternoon on the very same day. It was amazing!! I’ve never had such service from any Choice plumbing company before like this.
I hope they will keep this company and keep using them. I will make it clear once again, that I do not want Good to Go Plumbing to ever be assigned to my home ever again. When he showed up drunk at 10:00 at night at our home to do work after we had been put off for over a week after he failed to make multiple promised appointments, and then had the audacity to blame us to Choice for not being able to get the work done. I hope Choice has gotten enough complaints about his work that they will stop using Good to Go Plumbing altogether. For sure, this new company is a great step in the right direction to improving Choice’s reputation in our eyes. Thank you very much!!

I'm 82 years old and the only income I have is Social Security and I don't have the money to pay out $800 or $500 for repairs. Trying to find somebody to honor it was a problem. So, when I found out that Choice Home Warranty provides their own service people, I signed up. I had someone out here one time for a dryer problem. I have a gas dryer and the burner wasn't staying lit. Submitting the claim was quick. I called and didn't wait too long on line for somebody to talk to me. I told them what the problem was and they said, "We'll have a technician come out and check it."
The tech came out within four days. He was a good guy. He knew what he was doing and he was very professional. He found out what the problem was and he figured what the cost was gonna be and he called, and got it approved. He ordered a part and it was another week before he got the part. Overall, it was good. The fact that I don't have to chase somebody down to honor warranties really helps a lot. I can call them up and get things fixed. I'd recommend Choice Home Warranty wholeheartedly.

The plumber did a fine job. The reason I couldn't give 5 stars is the wait time: the claim was filed on 12-11-23, and the technician appointment wasn't until 12-21-23. The plumber showed up within the time window and was polite and professional. He explained what he thought the problem was and how he planned to proceed. He completed the job swiftly.

When Choice took over my previous warranty, I had an issue with a microwave's handle which came off. There was no problem. I had to get a new microwave because it was cheaper to buy a new one than to fix the handle. When the handle of the new one came off inside of two years, they told me it was because of physical damage. I asked, “Well, how does physical damage happen when you open up the microwave? You can't. You gotta open it up to put your coffee in. You gotta heat up something. That's not physical damage. That's just everyday wear and tear."
Still, they refused to cover the repair. I had to submit paperwork and threaten to go to Small Claims Court until they finally said, “Okay. We'll give you this much.” So it was very unpleasurable. But they're under new ownership. They still have the best plans and policies for what they cover. Under the new ownership, it's like a Cadillac of plans. There are no exclusions anymore. The price has been greatly reduced too so the coverage is very attractive. With the original warranty before the new company guy came over, we paid 1900 for two years. We got six years for 2,200 now. That's tremendous difference.

On the first claim, The technician repaired two bath pop up assembly sink drains I think they are called. On second claim he confirmed damaged phelagn (spelling?) and loose bolts but has not been authorized to repair them. I was satisfied with his work on the first claim. Toilet had a slow leak. Falcon Plumbing came out and did a very good efficient job. They were on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. They reset the flush valve and the leak stopped. Toilet has been working fine for the last few days.

Submitting a claim could be a little more streamlined. As far as using the website, it's helpful in terms of submitting a claim but not in terms of accuracy in what is covered. Concerning contractors, I had one who showed up looking completely disheveled. He had no uniform and he was wearing flip-flops and socks. So, I wasn't even sure that he was a service technician. But he did the job and when he left, I realized that he flooded under my sink and never said anything. I ended up calling the contractor back to let them know what happened. They ended up sending him back out. He took pictures because the flooding ruined the floor around my sink. Choice said it was up to me to deal with that company myself to get that issue resolved. I tried dealing with the contractor but they refused to do anything. So, my kitchen floors are damaged and I have no one to fix them.
With my other claim, the contractor was Sunshine Services. They were very professional and their communication was spectacular. They fixed the ceiling fan. It was a good experience so I will use them again. With choice, I'm finding that a lot of times when I do have an issue, I'm told something's not covered that initially was supposed to be covered. Also when I had a claim and I wanted to switch back to a contractor they have given me before, I had to speak to three different people in order to make that happen. I had to explain to them that my negative interaction and situation with one of the companies made me leery of random companies coming at any time, even if it was for the same service. I would prefer to keep the actual standard of care and stay with specific companies.
Also, when you have to send over a claim and they accept the claim, they send someone out just to tell you that they don't cover it. That should be acknowledged and disclosed before you pay for a service call. I had a microwave door that cracked from use. We paid for the deductible and they sent someone out. The tech said, "Okay, I will submit everything." We paid his service fee just for Choice to say, "We don't cover that." I already put the whole description in the service claim that I submitted. I ended up paying for a service call that I couldn't get any service done for. Because Choice said they don't cover cracks. But no one ever said that before setting my appointment.

The tech arrived, had everything he needed, found the coolant leak when other techs couldn't, documented the work needed before proceeding to be sure what would be covered, and to get the work approved once he knew possible solutions. The actual repair is pending approval. I sent comments to CHW and they approved the follow up work to fix the leak and add coolant.

I am happy with Choice, their response was spot on. Be aware that Choice covered the cost to replace my water heater but I had to cover the cost to bring it up to today's building code. Which is only right. As with homeowners insurance if you opt for full replacement it will cost more.

My washing machine stopped working and the repair technician diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered the required parts. The parts were shipped directly to me and the technician installed them on the next visit. He was prompt and arrived at the estimated time. He explained the issues and was very professional.

I love how easy it is to schedule a repair online. Preston from Winston Doors did a great job of teaching me about the maintenance and issues with garage doors and how to prevent some issues that are under my control. He was knowledgeable, friendly, arrived on time, and worked quickly.

We’ve only had to submit one claim and it wasn't super quick but it wasn't a super long wait. The rep told me who's gonna be coming to the house and I researched that person, and it was a company that had bad reviews. So, I didn't want them here. I told Choice to give me another appointment with another contractor. They gave me a little bit of pushback. It took 20 minutes for them to assign it to another contractor. But the contractor that came out was great and the problem was corrected. It was a good experience with Choice.

Have had both good and bad experiences with your trusted responders. Sometimes work is delayed by no one of your people is available for a long time and other times they respond immediately. I realize that the companies can be busy but there seems to be resistance to working for Choice versus other jobs.

The prior technician sent out was completely rude and seemed to be bothered to do the job. The new technician was extremely nice and worked hard to fix my issue. He even made an extra trip to get supplies needed for a leak and he did not have to. He is a very good handyman and I am going to hire him in the future for other work and I will recommend him to other friends.

Jason was friendly, explained to me what the issue was and was professional. Had a good attitude, came back very next day and fixed the problem with my furnace. Placed shields on his feet when I asked and was respectful of my property... Yes, I would definitely recommend this company to friends.

Choice is a good company, fast response. Garage Door Repair is also good, used them several times. The first tech called and said he was on his way, I told him that my son was there. He replied "I'm going to need a check." I told him it was there. 20Min later he arrived at the house before looking at the problem he said I need a check. More concerned getting paid than anything. I'm really impressed by the service. Both the guys were really nice. They called ahead and shortened the window so I wouldn't be waiting forever. One of them had to delay but they called me and let me know why and how it happened. They didn't leave me waiting which I appreciated. The dryer was my biggest concern so they fixed it within 72 hours. With the range, four other burners worked so I was not that concerned. The part was on backorder 'cause it's a Bosch but they got it fixed. Their mechanics were super nice.
I switched to them because they were 40% less than what I was paying. Plus, I really like the customer service. The people I've met have been nice. So far, best cost, best service.

This was the first time I put a claim in, and I found it to be very easy. Once I had the claimant, I received a date and time for the service. I received a phone call from Jacque from 1st Call, LLC to confirm the employment and make sure we were good to go. Joe, the service tech gave me a call the morning of to let me know she was about an hour away. Joe was amazing. She was looking at a standalone freezer for us, which was not keeping its temperature, she explained everything and was extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to save the freezer, but the service that we received was some of the best we’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend Choice Home warranty, especially if all of their contractors are as good as 1st Call, LLC.

Having a home warranty makes things a lot easier. We don't have to hunt for people. It's just one call and that should do it. We had a home warranty company that was terrible, so we decided to try another one, which was Choice Home Warranty. Submitting claims has gone off okay, otherwise we would move to another company. That's the way we live. We like what Choice has. We had an oven door that the hinge on the oven door broke. It was right around Thanksgiving, so we appreciated the quick response. They replaced the broken hinge, it was fixed and we had Thanksgiving dinner. It was a success.

I've got several policies with Choice Home Warranty. I have rental properties, and the warranty saves me money. I have a townhouse in Odenton, Maryland that had a problem with the dishwasher, but it turned out not to be a repair. It was just an old machine that was making some noise that the new ones don't make. That's what the repair man told me and I said, "Fine, thank you." It only cost me the co-pay. The only complaint I have is it takes a little too long to get a contractor assigned. I've also had some not-so-good contractors, but most of the time, they're good. I would tell people to give Choice Home Warranty a call. "Hey, here's the number. If you wanna try them, go ahead."

The reps understand my needs quickly, and in those times, when I needed to set up an appointment, it went easy and quick. I had two times where I used Choice Home Warranty's services. I did it online in one of the times, and the other time, I did it over the phone. In both instances, the same tech was sent out. He was very experienced and very quick to diagnose the problems and fix them. I was very pleased with his competency and speed. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Choice has been very easy to work with. From a cost-benefit analysis, they are excellent. They do the job right the first time they're here and I have no complaints. Recently, the broiler element went out on our dual-fuel Bosch oven. So, we called Choice and the technician came out in a week and replaced the broiler element. When the service technician was checking everything out, he said that it impacted the control panel so he had to order one. I have that and they're coming out on the 22nd of this month. The technician was very good.

Choice is very reasonably priced but sometimes, it takes a while to get the service call answered. So, there's a wait period. And I get it that sometimes that happens, but it's probably more frequent than not. Someone needed to come out a couple of times when I filed a claim and the service visit was mediocre. It wasn’t super satisfying but it wasn’t bad. Knowing what I know now, people should do their homework first but it would be worth at least getting a warranty on their home. I would recommend to at least look into Choice Home Warranty.

My service was good except for the one I had a couple of weeks ago. The repair person replaced the stem in my shower, but the service wasn't as good as it could have been. Now, when I turn my shower on, it makes a loud noise. I'm gonna call Choice and tell them about it. Besides that, Choice Home Warranty has been good so far. They gave me money for a new washer and dryer.

I signed up for service on Sunday. Monday I received an email offering a promotional discount from one of your account managers. I asked him for the discount and he refused. I then sent a email on Tuesday to your customer service asking to cancel the service. No reply. On Wednesday I sent another email to customer service asking to cancel. No reply.

Digital display went blank on 2 yr old Micro/Oven combo. Not allowed option to fix display,, Choice only option was $650 for a $3k oven..No option was allowed to fix. A check was offered as only option.

Placing the claim is very easy and quick. Technician responded quickly and they are professional and pleasant and friendly. They explained the problem and they explained the possibility of solutions. The people who answered the phone were friendly and considerate. They filed the claim although automated answering machine was not helpful in doing so. I been with this company for the last 2 years and they stand by their commitments.

I contacted Choice yesterday morning when I woke up to no heat. Choice put my repair request out immediately. An hour later, I found that the air filters for the heating system were clogged. Heat came back after replacement. Called Choice again and had no trouble cancelling my request with no service charge.

The latch on the microwave door was not connecting. The door would not close. The microwave can not work if the door is not closed or latching. Completely disappointed about your decision not to repair or replace. Was told by your representative the microwave latch was not ccovered. But the microwave is covered. Is not the door latch a part of the microwave.

An appointment with the technician was scheduled the exact day that I put in the claim. They even told me I could call the technician for a better appointment time. Quick turnaround for warranty company. The technician that was sent out seemed skilled and performed the repair quickly. I have put in several claims with this company and have been impressed.
