    My experiences with Choice have always been pretty good. They've always taken care of everything. As long as you go online and file the claim, there are not a lot of problems. But whenever you try to call them on the phone, it sometimes takes a while to get to somebody you can talk to. Some of us just keep on going until you get somebody to talk to. But their website is pretty friendly because I can use it. It's pretty easy to navigate. When I had some plug-ins that didn't work and the hall light wasn't working right, the gentleman came in and fixed it. He had everything he needed on his truck to do the job. But Choice sent out a person one time to do the air conditioner and I did not like him at all. So I called in and got somebody else to come out. But they let me change and I didn't have to pay any more money. So they straightened it out for me.

    Right now, I'm not real happy with Choice Home Warranty. I needed a new hot water tank. But I couldn't talk to anyone there. I have to do this online and then the contractor is supposed to contact me. But I didn't have a contractor contact me in about a day and then finally, I got an email saying that the contractor will be contacting me. Finally, the contractor and I set up a date. But they never showed up. So then I had to wait a longer period of time for another contractor to take on the job. It was a long and difficult process. I'm considering canceling my policy with Choice.

    The hot water tank was installed and the job is done now. But from the time I put in my claim, it was about a week before I got a hot water tank done. The person that installed it was good. He gave me the estimate and then said they would come back or let me know when they were coming out. Then he did the work himself. He cleaned up after himself well. He took care of it. They gave me a two-hour time when they would be out. But the guy was running late on the job. He didn't get to my house until after 5:00 and then he left my house until after 7:00. I wasn't real keen on that but I needed to get it done.

    This was diagnosed quickly and repaired upon arrival of parts. Back in action again. For the $65 initial fee, I now have a functioning microwave again.     We reported our garbage disposal broken and leaking on the 26th of December and did not get it fixed until January 11th. There were many problems with communication, registration and authorization throughout the whole process. We originally had a half horsepower garbage disposal and a third horse power garbage disposal was installed. I must say on a positive note the final technician that put in the garbage disposal was super professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

The repairs would have been significantly more expensive if I went directly to companies for the services. I have had the service for more than 3 years but in the past I would call nearby companies for service and they would usually do the work the same day, with this service it may be the following day for me.     The Choice reps are friendly on the phone if you can get them on the phone. You have to go through their website, and they don't respond immediately. I had to file claims, and there were items that I was not aware of. First of all, it's very hard to get a technician out. I waited from September 29th until Christmas week to get a plumber here, and there was no contact. So I had to keep reaching out to them and asking them. That was annoying. They just kept saying they were working on it.

    I had a plumbing claim. I had this issue with a drippy faucet, and if my dishwasher broke the next month, I'm not eligible. If it broke a week after, I have to wait an entire 30 days before I can file another plumbing claim and that seems not right to me. I was not happy about. I also had asked Choice, when I was waiting on the plumbing claim, if I could use my own plumber and be reimbursed. They said I can only do that once a year. I had to do that for an air conditioner claim, so I had already done it.

    Another issue I had was a hot water heater. I needed a new one, and they do not cover oil- fired hot water heaters, which I have. I didn't know there was a difference between oil and electric either. They do work with one company called Certified Professionals of New England. They're plumbers, and those guys are outstanding. The guy, Joe, is outstanding. Because of him, I signed up with Choice again because he said that they're one of the best in the area. He works for a couple different companies. So, I did renew with them, but if I'm disappointed after this renewal year, I'm gonna drop them.

    When you submit a claim, you call the center and tell them what’s going on. They give you a number and then somebody calls you and they start working on it. So far, the contractors have been very good. I had my washer worked on about six or seven months ago, and it fixed the problem for a while and then it reoccurred. So, the techs came back and determined that it was not the things that they fixed the first time. So, they're in the process of repairing my washer. The other claim is for my refrigerator and the technician has diagnosed it. It varies in temperature. Yesterday, it was over 50 degrees and some days it'll get down to 30. Then the next day, it's 50. I keep a thermometer on it. About a week ago, Choice was ordering the parts so they could get him back out here to fix the refrigerator.

    The washer man came out and worked on the washing machine. After he got into it, something else was discovered that had to be done on it. So, additional parts had to be ordered. But he was out here a week ago. So, I would expect that within the next few days, they should have the part and be ready to come out and fix the washing machine. And the same with the refrigerator. When I put a claim on it, Choice sent me a link to some kind of a process, where I find my repairman. And I didn't understand exactly how that worked. It sounded like I needed to find somebody and I had to pay for the repairs. Then the home warranty would reimburse me for them. I didn't care for that so, I did not take that option and waited for Choice to find a repair person.

    In the spring, we had a power outage and after that, the furnace or the air conditioner wasn't working. It was the time of year when I did not need either the furnace or the air conditioning. So, it wasn't critical. Choice sent a technician out and he effectively repaired it but it failed again. So, I called Choice Warranty again and they sent him back out again and sent two people out. It took those two guys way over an hour and a half, and they just happened to stumble on it. It turned out a loose wire in the air conditioner outside was causing something inside to blow a fuse. They fixed that and there were no problems at all after that. They showed me where to replace the fuse in case it blew again. I’m satisfied with Choice and I like knowing that if something fails, I can get it fixed.

    My experience with Choice has been very favorable. They've done a good job. They responded a lot quicker than I anticipated. My most recent claim was for our dishwasher and our dryer. Both decided to break down at the same time. The dryer was an easy fix. The dishwasher required them to have to come back several times, but they were always really good and communicated well. We had American Home Shield before and we were unhappy with them, and Choice has been good. I'm glad that we made the switch.

    Choice took in my request and assigned M&P appliance. The entire process took a week and I can say that the issues was resolved. Mike from M&K was very professional and did a very thorough job of identifying the problem and fixing. He also gave me 30 days warranty and his personal cell to call if the issues comes back.     I had a lot of problems and Choice helped with all of them. When my garage door spring broke, they sent over a guy to fix it. When you have one spring break, you should replace both. So they paid for one and I paid for one, and that was fixed. Then, my LG refrigerator compressor went out. There was a class action suit on that because they gave out defective compressors. So Choice replaced that, but then the refrigerator broke again and they're coming back this Friday to fix the rest of it. I was charged $65 once and they didn't even charge me twice for the second service on the leak in the refrigerator. So that was great. They all handled it on the one claim instead of two. I also brought Choice some customers from my community and everybody's pretty happy with them. My friends also took out a policy when I told them what I had. When you add everything up, they have a very reasonable price and they're a good service.

    I had a leaking pipe in 2nd floor ceiling which was dripping to first floor. In order to replace the pipe, a section of the ceiling drywall had to be cut out. When I asked if the drywall would be replaced as part of the plumbing repair. I was told that I would have to file another claim with Choice to get that work done. Since cutting into the ceiling was necessary to replace the leaking pipe, I would think its repair would be part of the original claim. So rather than file another claim and wait for approval and assignment I paid for ceiling repair myself. I think that defeats the purpose of the Choice Home Warranty contract that I pay for.

    When I first took out my warranty with Choice, I told the salesperson the house is 4,600 square feet and he verified that it is because there's an exclusion or a different pricing for a house over 5,000 square feet. I had an issue with the valve on the dishwasher and the tech replaced it. Close to Christmas, I had a leaky toilet and the tech they sent said he needed to have further authorization to continue with the repair of the toilet. He said that once he gets the okay from Choice, he'd schedule and come out.

    But then, I get a thing from Choice questioning my square footage. I contacted them and they had put a hold on the claims process. They said they got that my house is more than 5,000 square feet from the technician who was sent out. The guy who repaired the dishwasher went into a laundry room and the other guy went into a guest bedroom. He didn't take measures of my house or anything, how could they calculate my square footage? I thought the whole process was handled wrong.

    I gave the county assessor's phone number and told them to give them a call but they couldn't call. They could have made a one-minute phone call and verified that. If they wanted the document, they could have requested it after the phone call or got back with me. I couldn't understand the hold. Also, I asked for a mailing address and to mail the document and they said they have no mailing address. I talked to a supervisor because I couldn't get anywhere. I got her email and emailed her the document from the assessor. She saw it and apologized. The way it was handled really inconvenienced me. It was bad timing and bad handling. It was such a simple thing that could have been handled by a simple phone call.

    She authorized the repair and said that the plumber who was out here would reschedule. He never called so I called him. He went through his email and he said he got nothing from Choice and he was not going to take my word that it's okay to fix it. He emailed them and then they verified that it had been authorized. On January 8th, I finally got my toilet repaired but Christmas and New Year's are gone, which was when I really needed the repair. The technicians who have been out here to repair the things have been excellent, on time, and quick, though.

    The customer service reps have been pleasant and it was usually a quick response from Choice in contacting a contractor. I would hear back from someone to schedule an appointment within a day or two. I had a tough go around with Choice when I was having issues with the heating system and it was maddening at times. It hasn’t been the best experience. It took quite some time to finally get it resolved and we had more than one visit from contractors. It wound up being a lot of money out of my pocket because of their findings to replace the system. I've had to call Choice three times for small things but that was the biggest problem that I had.

    Everyone has been professional and helpful and so far, Choice has been worthwhile. They're the only ones I've ever dealt with and it was just a risk that I took on this place. It was a little bit older home and even though all the inspection criteria and concessions have been met for the purchase of the home, I didn't know if there might be things that could creep up, which is what the home warranty is there for.

    Despite the fact that the contractor CHOICE sent out specifically noted that our damage was due to normal wear and tear, the claim was denied because the part was no longer manufactured and it would have to be replaced. The rep basically called me a liar when I said we didn't touch it and it just fell off. The rep interrupted and was rude (I was too, admittedly). I have been on earth long enough to know what CHOICE did here and it is disgraceful. Why even send out the contractor and cost me $65 for an item you are going to refuse despite what the contractor says? Repulded by this company and by your customer support.     They've done a terrible job for me. The last time that we tried to use them, it was our geothermal heater went out. After 10 days, they still didn't have somebody to fix it. They advertise, "We can do it in 24 hours." Once in a while, it takes 48 hours. But in 10 days, they still didn't have anybody to fix it. They reluctantly allowed me to go find somebody to fix it.     Their initial service during a claim and tracking is good. I live in the Phoenix area and their network of contractors fix things excellently. But during the repair cycle, I don't have an advocate when working with the contractors that they hire. I have to be my own advocate and I end up doing some of the work. When there are delays in the services and stuff like that, I'm the guy calling and trying to figure out where they're at and scheduling them. That seems to be somewhat backwards to me. Other than that, the actual benefits to me, in the long run, are good.

    I've dealt with Choice Home Warranty before but I didn't like them because I have some rental properties. But when I purchased this new property, they had the best price. It's easy to submit a claim. They call and make the appointment. When there was a leak from the hot water tank, the contractor fixed something on that. Then we had them come out a couple of weeks ago for the garbage disposal that was still leaking. So, we filed again that it still wasn't fixed and they came out. They fixed that yesterday. I would definitely recommend Choice compared to when I dealt with them a couple of years ago. There's a big difference.

    I've been very happy with Choice Home Warranty. They would connect to me and give me a choice, and I call and make an appointment. The appointments are always on the up and up.     Choice Home Warranty has been good to me, so far. So, I would recommend it. They were comparable to what I originally had. And I wanted to make sure that they would not add anything without my say so. I've had one claim and it went well. It was a lot easier to set it up online because sometimes the headquarters would get busy and I don't like being held on the phone for more than a minute. The electricians that came out were excellent.     I had three different claims with Choice and the response was fast. I wish I had more of a one-to-one person to talk to but couple of times when the thing happened, they were closed, so I put the claim in online the next day. I got the email with the people who were going to fix my stuff and they called right away. But it was a couple of days before they could get out. One issue was for my garage door opener that was working sporadically. Initially, I had a garage door company come out and they wanted $900 for a new unit. I said, “I can live with it.” When I called Choice, they said that they would put in a claim and they covered the basic opener. That was a $400 credit and they put on the same unit for about 600. So, I've got 400 credits. The new unit only cost me $200 plus the $85 that they charged for the service. So, for $285 that I spent, they replaced the whole unit and I upgraded. So I was very happy with that.

    I also had a claim when my icemaker went out. I have one of those LG portable icemakers and it had gone out a couple of times. It would sit there with ice in it and it wouldn't shoot it out. So, the ice production didn't keep up with my use and sometimes, it would go three days without even making ice. So, the only solution was to replace the icemaker, which Choice did. But it took a while before the guy came out. Then he had to get a model number and they got to order the part. Then the part had to be mailed to me and then once it was there, I called the guy and we got it fixed. It took about 20 minutes to replace an icemaker.

    The third thing that happened was my toilet. It was 20 years old and the bolts that bolted the tank and the seat broke off. The bolts rusted and where they rusted, it started leaking out of the bottom of the tank. I had water all over the floor. It happened on a Friday night before Christmas. I have another bathroom, so that was not a real big issue. But when I tried to turn the shutoff valve off, it didn't shut off completely. It kept dripping and every three hours, I had to go empty the pot. So, I was up three times that night. I had to call a plumber and he was going to charge me $125 to come out then, but if I could wait until the morning, I wouldn't have to pay the $125 extra because it was late. It was 8 o'clock Friday night and I agreed. So, he got there around 8 o'clock the next morning and he replaced the shutoff valve for 225 bucks. But at least it wasn't leaking and I could sleep.

    I then called Choice and it took them three days before they could come out and look at the toilet. The tech fixed it and all he had to do was replace the bolts. So, it was fixed for the service charge of $85. I also asked him if Choice could reimburse me for the emergency and they said Choice Warranty doesn't pay for any unauthorized work. When I said it happened on a Friday night and they were not open, he said that they were not an emergency service repair place. So, I wasn't very happy about that. All in all, for certain things that you can live with, Choice is great. But if it's an emerging repair, forget it.

    I like the convenience of having Choice Home Warranty, but it's nice to have the peace of mind that the house is covered. Sometimes, it is challenging working with some of the vendors, but submitting a claim is not difficult. The vendors vary. Choice gotta work with who's in the area. Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're not, but it's been okay. The most recent repair issue I have experienced was one that wasn't so great. I needed to have some ceiling fans repaired and I submitted the repair request in late November. And unfortunately, it didn't get repaired until January. It was less than optimal, but it finally got done.

    The gentleman came out and did the assessment. They took the $75 deductible but then after that, it was like, "Oh, I'll come out next week with your fans," and then it turned into, "Oh, I can't come when I said I would come. Here's when I can come. Oh, wait, I can't come when I said I could come. Now, I can't come until another week or two, and then another week." So, it ended up turning into five weeks. The man finally did say, "You know what? I hurt my back. It's gonna be three more weeks." I was like, "You know what? You done took my $75. I'm not gonna fight with you 'cause I'm certainly not gonna pay $75 again." So, I just worked with them. Not all the vendors are that way, but it's hit or miss. Choice could have better follow-up on open claims. I would still recommend Choice to others. In fact, I have in the past. I made a recommendation to a previous co-worker of mine, and because of my recommendation, they got Choice for their home purchase as well.

    I wouldn't recommend Choice to my worst enemy. I signed up and they were not the brightest crayon in the box nor do they provide the best service, but it's all doable. I can tolerate it because eventually the job gets done. I was with them for a year then I signed up for another three years. I got a furnace problem and they are doing everything they can to avoid it. They've sent the same technicians out there four times to tell me that it needs to be replaced and they don't wanna replace it. Why? I don't know. From July till January of this year, I'm still dealing with the same thing.

    Every time Choice sends a technician in, I'm paying $75, and I'm getting the same old song and dance. They need more information, they need more information, they need more information. I don't know how much information they need. Why don't they let go of some of their money? I hope somebody gets this thing straightened out before I have to take legal action. I'd greatly appreciate a call back from somebody that has some authority. I need to have somebody tell me what they're gonna do, if they're gonna do anything. Otherwise, they should tell me they're not gonna do anything so I can start the legal procedure.

    The repairman did a great job. My understanding was they would repair the issue completely. While the repairman was at my house, the company UTG, responded over the phone to me saying that I would need a plumber to repair the problem (a new hose and new out-valve needed to be installed). They said they could do it for an additional $100. So a total of $185 (is what I paid. $85 is what I was expecting to pay, plus my $50/monthly fee). It took the repairman an additional 5 minutes to complete the repairs. I feel like the entire job should have cost $85 total. I feel taken by CHW. Call me to discuss.

    On Jan 4th Choice sent out A person from the company Appliance Nerd to check what was wrong with my dryer. I told him what it was doing. I told him 3 years ago I had a Sears warranty service on my dryer, it was doing the same thing. The thumping (sounding like you had a pair of Tennis shoes going around in the dryer) they replaced the dryer drum. It was doing the same thing this time. Third time the lining was coming out also. It had two cracks in the drum. The guy showed me I told him I think my old one had one in it two. He said the Drum will have to be replaced.     The Torsion spring broke on one side. When this happens, it's best to replace the springs on both sides because the remaining spring that didn't get replaced had experienced some heavier than usual tension when the other side broke, and it was also exposed to torque the same amount of time as the one that broke. It will likely break sooner than later, and the Choice Home Warranty would have saved themself money by replacing both, because when the other one breaks, I will have to claim it with this warranty, and Choice home warranty will have to pay a tech for the labor of fixing it again, when they could have only had to pay for parts had they replaced both at the same time. This is a poor business model for Choice and their customers.

    The service is bad and a waste of money. They try to force you to use service techs that are not able to handle certain job. My Tech was not able to clean my boiler yet they said he could replace it. They refused to send out another tech unless I paid another 85 dollars. It's a 3,000 cap so you still have to come out of pocket with thousands of dollars. In my case an extra 4,700 even with the warranty. I canceled my service with CHW as the service was not up to par.

    I called to set up two policies on Dec 27th with Simon **. He gave me a decent offer and guaranteed me I could cancel if needed. I called back that day to cancel, and we talked for a while about why. He was very pushy, which I understand because I'm also in sales. However, he seemed quite disgusted with me despite the extra time I took to explain why I needed to cancel. I believe we all deserve that basic respect. I told him over the phone to cancel, and he followed up with me by email. In the email again, I told him to cancel, and he responded, "The Policies were canceled. It will take 5-7 days to process."     I have mixed feelings about this company. They send service then you have to wait for them to approve or deny which takes 24hrs so nothing ever gets done same-day. I pay for a warranty and have only had one thing be approved right away. Everything else has been denied and I have to submit an appeal. Which then has been approved.     This was the second complete failure of Choice Warranty. The first was a plumbing problem which they stated was not covered. Now understand that the technician did not want to make the repairs so not only did I pay $3000 out of pocket for the repairs uncovered repairs. I also paid $65 to Choice just to be told they won’t fix it. Next Washer went out for second time under Choice. Charged two calls $130. Choice said washer needed replaced. Offered gift cards amounting in far less than any reasonable replacement. Had phone conversation with Choice in which they made no concessions and offered to send me a check instead of gift cards for a little over $300. Closest t replacement I could find cost me $600 paid out of pocket along with the $130 I already paid Choice.

    Still don’t have a washer. Absolutely terrible claim manipulation usually found with insurance companies. I’m a fully disabled Veteran and it is a shame that companies pay these kinds of games rather than just meeting reasonable expectations. Of course they assured me that all of these exceptions and exclusions are covered in the policy which is readily available online. Absolutely disgusting

    I have already stated to a case manager how insane it is to spend money trying to get my business which your company was successful a few years ago. In addition to appear to have a sense of urgency to have a tech come out and identify problem and propose a solution. However how does your company benefit by making the customer wait 30 days to receive an e-gift card from Lowe’s? Dishwasher completely out and all I hear is “it’s our policy”. The technician can order parts and have it up and running in a shorter amount of time. Your company could easily own the market but instead choose to not seek a quicker turnaround.

    In this technological age the goal should be 3 days max. How much happier would your customers be? I honestly can’t wait for this contract to end. I’m not sure who is worse. American Home Shield or Choice? I’m not even sure why I’m trying to help your business be successful. Your website says as a reminder: "The only Choice in Home Warranty.     It’s been 11 days and I still have no date for when my garbage disposal will be replaced. Mike at All Valley Rooter and Plumbing cancelled my appointment twice despite me cancelling appointments to accommodate him. Along with that, he doesn’t call me back as promised. After lying about getting back to me he had the audacity to tell me he was a man of his word. That was another lie!

    A technician (David, who was a very nice and polite guy) finally came out yesterday on day 10 of this ordeal only to confirm that yes, I need a new disposal. He said hopefully they will be back next week. The correct way to handle this would have been for the technician yesterday to go to Home Depot, buy a new disposal and install it. I would never use that company ever again for anything and I’m not very happy with CHW either. Too many hoops to jump through to get anything done. I’m not sure now what to expect if and when they do come out to do the work. Reconditioned disposal? Wrong size? Shoddy workmanship? Who knows?

    The process of the installation is agonizing due to our schedules & the weather and the schedule of EMS Service Ac Vac; finally Ac vac installed on Nov 14, 2023, the original unit was Lennox replaced with Goodman and we were charged more expensive than the other unit we have Installed, After a month and a half the unit stopped working Dec. 27. Because we are satisfied with them, for the 2 units they installed on Sept 29, 2023 and both are still working. The company who Installed the unit, that is not working in our Master’s BR texted us, they can come tomorrow, so hopefully they can figure why it’s not working and it’s not fair for us if they charge us for $65.00, I will let you if they do or not.

    I live on a small island and they don’t understand how limited I am. Customer service was very noisy background and was hung up on multiple. It took you over a month in October to November to find a service repairman! In November the part replaced didn’t fix it.     Disastrous Experience with Choice Home Warranty. I recently had the misfortune of dealing with Choice Home Warranty, and I must say it was a complete disaster from start to finish. Their failure to uphold their agreements and the questionable business practices have left me thoroughly disappointed. From the very beginning, their promises seemed too good to be true. Unfortunately, my suspicions were confirmed when I needed to make a claim. The supposed coverage and protection they boast about turned out to be nothing more than empty words. When I tried to get them to fulfill their end of the agreement, I was met with incompetence extreme unprofessionalism. These people seem to operate with the same intensity as a crime organization. Which I have found out that is exactly what they are. It's evident that once they have your money, customer satisfaction becomes a low priority.

    The real nightmare began when I decided to cancel my policy due to the constant letdowns and unfulfilled promises. Little did I know that Choice Home Warranty would make the cancellation process a nightmare in itself. Not only did they drag their feet in processing the cancellation, but they also deducted several hundred dollars from my account without any clear explanation. The deductive tactics they employed when I canceled the policy were nothing short of unethical. It's disheartening to see a company take advantage of its customers, especially when they fail to deliver on their promises in the first place.

    I'm not satisfied with the way that Choice Home Warranty handles their business. You have to wait and the technician has to text you and let you know that they're gonna take your claim. My boiler has been out for over a month now. The pilot light was on but there wasn't fire getting to the graders. It was the middle of the week, but the technician didn't have an appointment to come out until the Tuesday of the next week. The guy I talked to the first time called me. By that time, something else was going on. The pressure water valve was leaking a lot. He wanted me to take a picture and send it to him. He said he was gonna call. He was gonna get back with the warranty people. But I called the warranty people and was explaining to them what had happened. They told me they couldn't do an add-on information to the claim. I told them to cancel it.

    The next day, I called and put in another claim for the boiler. The first person came out and it's a box on there that controls everything that had gone out. When I called the company that sent that technician out to see what was going on, the lady told me that by my boiler being as old as it was, they suggested they replace it. They didn't wanna order this part because they didn't know how this part would work with my boiler because of it being much older. Come to find out, they don't make that part anymore. The warranty people said I had to get a second opinion. When the second man came, he found out it was the same thing. He ordered the part, but the part didn't work.

    I'm very disgusted. Choice Home Warranty doesn't have to beg me for my money. My money comes out of my account every month on the day that it's supposed to come out. For me to have to sit and wait over a month and it's cold out here, I'm not satisfied at all. When the technician gave them the price on what the part that he needed costs, they were complaining that it was too high. The reason why you get the warranty is because you're thinking that you're gonna be protected and you don't have to come out of your pocket with all that money at one time. I would have been better off saving whatever I pay a month. I'm using my gas stove occasionally. I open it up then turn it off some 'cause I don't wanna burn it out. Then I gotta use an electric heater. Now, my light bill is gonna be higher.

    Initially, I called Choice with the freezer problem. The guy showed up the first time and just played around. "Oh, it's done. No problem," and I still have the issues. Then they said they'd come out again and they never showed. They put it in the computer they ordered parts. So, I sat on the parts for quite a while. Then they showed up again after calling and calling. They put those parts in, and it still didn't fix the problem. Then, I didn't hear from them forever. So I called Choice and started it again, and I said, "My policy states, if you can't fix it, you'll replace it." The rep was like, "Well, I gotta send that over to some department." So they kept doing that and playing around and the next thing I know, "Oh, we're just gonna pay you out. We're not gonna fix or replace your freezer." It took a while for me to get the money.

    Then I called them with stove issues. The guy showed up, said what we need, and he tried to put my check to their system but their system was screwed up. So, I didn't hear from Choice. I kept calling and finally, the rep said, "Oh, well, you wrote a bad check to us." I said, "No, I didn't. I still got the check sitting here. They couldn't get it to go through the system." She said they'll call back and I still haven't heard nothing since. Also, I'm not sure where Choice's customer service is at, but they don't understand what we're trying to tell them. We tell them what's going on and the guy gets here, and it's something totally different. He's like, "Well, that's not what's on the paperwork." I said, "Well, I tried to explain to them." Their overall customer service is a nightmare but they never failed to pull the money out for the monthly payment.

    The rep gave me good prices because I signed up my three houses. When I first started to use the service, I called because my heat wouldn't work in one of the houses. They charged the $75 and they wanted the cash upfront. I wasn't ready for that. But I went ahead and I paid the technician. He came out to do a diagnostic test and I thought he was coming to do a repair. He said that's not what he does. He does a diagnostic first and then he comes back and gives us the price. Then, he told us what we needed for the AC to work properly was not covered. Every company is different, but I've never had that problem with another warranty. If they come out, they come out, assess the issue, and try to fix it. If it's gonna be more than what's on the warranty, they'd give you the total everything right then and there and let you know. I didn't experience that with Choice.

    The tech came back with a $1,000 bill and I asked Choice why wouldn't they cover whatever needed to be covered. They said I had only been with the plan for 30 days. I was calling in too early and if I wanted the heat fixed, it would be $1,005. They didn't fix it so I called to cancel the service and I didn't like the tone of the supervisor. She was more interested in me not canceling all three policies versus helping me fix my AC unit. I ended up calling back to speak to somebody else. I went ahead and canceled it with the other lady on that particular house. But I'm gonna cancel it on the other two houses as well. I wouldn't recommend Choice based on my experience.

    Lowery Heating A/C and Plumbing was assigned this problem. While it wasn’t a covered issue, Mr. Lowery was very knowledgeable and followed through until the issue was resolved. Would certainly recommend him to anyone with a similar issue. He gave instructions on how to avoid this situation in the future. My feeling is he is an honest businessman.

    A claim was submitted and it was coordinated with a repair company within a couple of days. Very easy to do everything online. The copay was collected and the broken part was ordered. The repair will be finished as soon as the new part comes in. An appointment has been made to come back and finish the repair. No additional charges will be charged to me.
