The stove repair went well. I received an email with a scheduled appointment right after registering my repair and the Technician came fairly soon after that to assess the problem. He came back the next week after getting approval for the repair by CHW. That went a little slow, but we weren't pressed.

I haven't had many issues that weren't resolved quickly that directly related to CHW. Some of the technicians have been less than favorable, but that is no fault of CHW. I took away 1 star because my appointment fee went up $10 after I renewed. Boo. Forty 7, 48, forty-nine, fiddy.

My husband was here and said that the repairman for Nico LLC was on time, which was very important to us. Also, he was very polite and quite knowledgeable....He repaired the problem pretty quickly. There was a probe that had come loose and it was touching the oven rack. So the light would not go off. We are very pleased!

We got off to a rough start, but overall the heater was fixed, and I am very happy with the service I received. I would recommend the service to my friends and family. The technician that came out was very knowledgeable and polite. I am happy with my Home Warranty.

This plumber knew what he was talking about. He provided valuable info and good info. He took his time and was thorough. He is a good plumber and I would recommend him to anyone. He came upstairs and took his time taking the faucet apart. He had the tools he needed so he was well prepared.

I was completely satisfied by the way that Mr. ** made me aware of the best coverage for me. And of the time that he took with me. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have been Choice customers for several years. Although we have not had many claims, we like the fact that we can count on service in a timely way with reliable service providers. It is great peace of mind knowing we can easily get service when we need it. Because they have a pool of reliable vendors, we can depend on prompt service.

Replace icemaker. Technician showed up on time to review what was needed. Came back 2 days later with the replacement. Install was quick and working properly. Claim was answered quickly. Process was a little slow. I can say the technician was very polite. As I said earlier the claim process is slow as it was over four days before the ice maker was installed.

I had a technician come out to fix a refrigerator that I thought was faulty but instead, I need an electrician. The appliance is fine but it is the outlet that is bad. I was not aware that the outlet was bad until this technician checked it and told me what the problem was.

After initialing a repair request for my Garage Door I was notified within a day that it had been processed and the repair would be done in two days. The technician was professional and helpful. My only concern was that Choice's policy is to replace only the spring that was broken, rather than follow the norm of replacing both springs so now I am waiting for the old spring to break and have to go through the process again.

Sad to know that I was charged and the guy still needed to do another test to see just where the issue was but was told it wasn't wear and tear so bye bye 85$. I'm really looking into another place cause to be out money just to learn "No we won't cover it" is the disappointing part which saying sorry won't get it.

It's bad enough I can't shop around and have to use Lowe's, but 30 days to wait for an eCard. So I'm suppose to do without a dryer. I found one on sale, ends tonight... Customer Service just kept telling me it would be up to 30 day. Oh and I love that the start button on my washer isn't covered because using it daily isn't considered normal wear and tear.

Decided that in this current economy it was a good idea to have some peace of mind when it came to protecting our home and appliances. Homeowners insurance is not enough. Daniel made the process smooth and worry free. He was able to get me a great deal as well for the Total plan with some extras.

The Technician checked everything on the washing machine and could not find any issue. Since had recently had some snow and very cold nights he concluded that the pipe carrying the discharge to the sewer had frozen and that caused the overflow to backup. However, by the time we got someone to check things out, the ice damn had melted enough to allow the discharge to flow out

Have had Choice for a couple of years now and it’s so nice knowing that when I need a repair person to come out for one of my home appliances which are all smart appliances (means cost more and more to fix that is all!) it’s going to cost me a flat $65 or $75 and that’s all. I consider myself the smart one for getting Choice Warranty

Kurt ** was so helpful to me. He added some extra packages for me. To encourage the renewal. I was not sure in the beginning but I did. He explained me payment options and I accepted to renew my plan. To open claim is easy with CHW. I think that is enough for review

Not very satisfied with the way the sale of this contract was handled. Not very transparent and very pushy. He also did not follow through after my personal phone call to him and an email. He pushed me into signing the contract and did not give me a chance to think over it.

Choice took my call and immediately set up a claim request for a leaking hot water tank. They were able to get me assigned to a plumber within a short time. The plumber people worked me in as soon as their schedule allowed, then they called even before the appointment time to come to see the problem. The plumbing company had worked with Choice many times and were very friendly.

Choice and Sears Repair made the entire process very easy. The information about the repair scheduling and the technician was timely and kept me involved in the process. There was a one-day delay to the arrival of the technician but the length of time to correct previous jobs and effects of traffic, etc. can't be predicted. I'm completely satisfied with the professionalism and quality of everyone concerned.

But once again parts not covered, extra 50 bucks, something about two caps, job was well done, very happy. Don't know what else to say. Another subject had spa extra try a claim, was told spa not connected to a pool so no coverage so told you to cancel spa coverage, did not happen right away so was told because of mistake my next copay would be 65 dollars, did not happen and nobody knows anything even though caller recorded

Our washer broke and so I had to file a claim. The process was very efficient. I was able to submit the claim very easily on the phone and then all follow ups were through text message or email. I received timely reminders of upcoming appointments or if information was needed. I was able to correspond through text with the repair person to provide more detail which enabled the repair person to have a new circuit board on-hand knowing it was more-than-likely the issue. The repair was completed in one visit.

Technician from Sears Home Service was excellent. Choice spent several days before a response was arranged. I bought all new appliances when I bought the house six years ago. The microwave malfunctioned. Tech said parts were not available, but he would try. It’s been over a month without our microwave. I’m concerned you might fix it with questionable parts and we will have a leaking microwave. We are still without an essential part of our kitchen.

Waiting for follow up service. Excellent so far. Please hurry. Technician was great and informative. Plumber had all necessary equipment and and arrived on time. Technician explained problem and said he would write up work order. Need work order approved as soon as possible because of weather (heavy snow melting causing heavy water to be drained away).

Today, We scheduled Our 1st repair call to Choice. The process to make this claim was basically seamless, and "Rose" who I spoke to at Choice, to schedule Our repair visit was really Good. We are scheduled to have Our repair issue addressed/fixed tomorrow, as a result of Our first request for this service, through Choice, that We have paid for, and are looking forward to a positive resolution to Our request for Service/Repair.

My refrigerator stopped working one morning. I opened the door and everything was warm. The food in the freezer was soft. I called Choice and they told me to go online and submit a claim. We had a snow storm the next day and Choice told me that I could called a tech myself. I did not have a repairman of my own and a neighbor gave me a referral. Called Acme Appliance and the tech said he would stop later that day. He discovered it was the Mother Board and defrost that were the cause. He replaced both and that fast I have my refrigerator back working again. My Technician Tom was very knowledgeable and professional. Choice was on top of everything. Emailing me, giving the tech authorization to do work. The tech took pictures and submitted them with the receipt. It was a very smooth process. I am so lucky that Choice is my warranty company because I feel that they really work with the customer to get the job done. Thank you Choice... Pat N

I heard from a family member that the company was good and they have been a customer for four years. There was no pressure sales. In today's world all of these things matter a lot.

We have a sewage smell issue. It took weeks for someone to come check out the issue. Now we are being told the problem is not covered. That it’s not a normal wear and tear problem but still don’t know what the problem is or how to remedy the issue. How can you tell if it’s a wear and tear problem if you can’t tell me what the problem is. Very disappointing. How much more can I say. You didn’t fix it. You’re not going to fix it. You didn’t tell us what is causing our problem or how we can fix the problem.

I had other home warranty providers but all they did was nothing for me but with Choice feeling pretty good about this warranty. I have had Choice Home Warranty for the last 5 Years. I have made several claims through that time period. I had a few that they paid. And several that they did not. I live in an area where there are no repair people who like to take home warranty plans, which means I have to find somebody who is willing to deal with them. It has not been easy, and thus I have ended up paying for several repairs out of my pocket. Now my contract is at its end and I am not going to renew it. We have had numerous phone calls trying to renew the policy, I answered one and told them that I do not wish to continue the plan and I gave them my reasons. They continued to call.
Now I have had several emails from them letting me know that they are going to continue my plan and start charging my credit card each month to continue their plan. I went into the website and canceled. I have done that twice so far. Today I have yet a third email letting me know that they will not let my policy lapse and they will charge me a monthly rate on my credit card. I do not understand such a practice, and I don't think it is right. I will yet again go to the website and cancel the policy. So please beware of this company.

Lester, the Supremo Electric Technician, was highly skilled and professional. He was on time, all of my questions were answered fully, and he worked skillfully. That's why I had Lester back to my house, for other electrical repairs. Quite truthfully, it would be difficult to trust another electrician, other than Lester.

Well first let me start by saying they deceived me when getting on with them and then when I filed a claim they did not want to pay at first. Then they told me I would be getting the maximum amount. Then after that they are telling me I need to send them a bank statement proving I paid the AC company before they will send what little money they finally settled on. Also do your research. ALL home warranties are a SCAM. Every company and and every service technician I spoke with all told me that it is one of the biggest rip offs in America. Choice is the worst by far. I am starting a Tik Tok to start a campaign against them. I am also going to the BBB on them. DO NOT go with Choice or any other home warranty if you like your money.

Appliance Service Solutions was not the first company that Choice referred to come out to evaluate and repair my dryer, but I would hope that they are the ones sent for any future problems I might have. Abby, the technician who came, was prompt, courteous, and efficient, and had my dryer repaired in short order.

The hot water machine has been off for a couple of days. It needs to be reset to restart the hot water tank. The service contractor is very patient and quickly resolves the issues. He also explains the procedure of resting processing. Thank you very much for the service and helps.

I called for a claim on Saturday Jan. 05, 2024. After several days a company was assigned. The company took a week to notify me of a date for service. Coming on site and determining the problem the representative did not have the knowledge to repair it. Choice reassigned another company that did not come on the day of service. After talking to a resolution representative I was assigned a new company and received great service. The TIME of getting the REPAIR reported to the day it was resolved was TWO WEEKS! This not acceptable! The company needs to be aware of creditable service providers before they are contacted! Good service = happy customers = more business = more profits!

My two toilets were constantly running and needed repair. Choice Home Warranty saved me lots of money because plumbing is very expensive. I just paid my coverage fee and everything was fixed. These days inflation is the monster taking the consumer by surprise but Choice Home Warranty is fighting back by helping consumers with home repairs. I highly recommend retaining coverage with Choice Home Warranty.

I am very happy with technician Christopher E and his prompt attention to our need for a working furnace. That being said, I was not happy to receive a text message on Sunday from Sears Service (via Choice Home Warranty) "confirming (service) for Friday, 1/26 between -hh:mma." There was no way to contact the sender of this text to learn the accurate time window we are to be home on Friday, which is very disconcerting!
Updated 2/1/24: Choice Home Warranty took my upfront payment for a 5-year home warranty policy and has now disappeared when my gas furnace stopped operating. This was the first claim I'd ever made. I've called CHW 16 days in a row begging for a furnace repair (they say they can't get a part) or replacement, as outlined in my written CHW contract. This winter is cold and rainy. It's January 2024. How can CHW be so callous? Not even an offer of temporary electric space heaters! Do not believe CHW's empty promises during the sales spiel!

I contacted Choice after I had already paid someone to come look at the oven. I forgot I had a warranty! So, then I called and scheduled an appointment. The technician arrived on time, good communication. He came prepared with the correct parts to repair the oven, did it promptly, and didn't leave a mess. He was polite and friendly. I feel satisfied with this warranty, so far.

I noticed I had no hot water in my home, so I called Choice to file a claim. Within 24 hours I had a repair company at my house, they submitted a claim and it was approved. I'm just waiting for my new water heater be installed but it was a painless experience thanks to Choice Home Warranty! Glad I had this warranty!

The technician knows and review everything to find the problem and fix it. I like that he wants to be sure why my issue happens and ask me questions to be sure about it. I described in detail what was going on with my heating system. I described the sound it was making. I described the smell coming from my attic where the electric/backup furnace is. After paying for the service call, I found out that no matter what sounds or smells comes from my heating unit, if the heat isn’t working, there’s nothing they can do. My question is, why was not that said to me prior? I paid for a conversation about the fact that as long as the heat is heating, no matter what, it’s not covered. I wish I was told that prior to. In fact, my claim was originally denied. I was good with that. But they sent another email after saying a serviceman is coming. I could tell by the look on his face when I described the issue that there was nothing he could do YET he still had to charge me. Felt very SCAMmish in my opinion. Very unhappy. Full disclosure upfront satisfies a customer more!

While Choice is hands down better than my previous home warranty company, Sears, there were some hiccups that I think/hope will be resolved from now on. I switched from Sears to Choice several months ago because Sears has a 11-hour window for a repairperson to arrive. How ridiculous is that?! How disrespectful of the customer's time. So I switched to Choice after being promised that I would have no more than a 4-hour window.
You can imagine my dismay when my first two service calls were assigned to Sears! I had to call to change the assignment both times. The second time, I made sure they understood that Sears was not allowed in my house. Let's hope they got the message. As for the dryer repair itself, Penny Appliance' Edward was excellent. He figured out what was wrong and fixed it. Not as easy as it sounds because it ended up with more than one problem. Can't recommend him highly enough. I plan to ask Choice to send only him on issues that he is qualified to fix.

I paid a lot for this policy. You decided to replace my washer instead of fixing it. You offered a price well below the value of any decent machine and only with Lowe's gift cards which might take 30 days to arrive. I need a machine so I emailed the sales rep because I had questions. He did not respond. I ordered the machine anyway and it should have been delivered this morning. The truck could not get up our hill because of the snow but other trucks have made it up here today. I will not have the machine until Saturday IF they send someone in a truck which can get up a hill. This area is rural, dirt roads and hills. Drivers should be prepared for that.

The Hot Water Heater is leaking and spewing sludge and rust into the master bath tub. A plumber service technician was summoned and confirmed the water heater needs to be replaced. CHW immediately approved the replacement! I also had a problem with my master bathroom faucet which had no water pressure from both the hot and cold water. This was a fairly easy repair by the plumber. I had to pay two separate deductibles which seemed weird as only one service technician came out and was able to take care of both problems.

Whenever you purchase a Home new or previously owned it's very important to protect your investment. I've owned many homes & you don't want surprises to fix or replace your appliances. Jon was great to explain things. Filter porosity and water pump maintenance were commented in great details. Assurance was the key, that service is always available. It took two weeks to get a technician out and now that it will be authorized to get it replaced. We will be without the microwave for more than a month before we get the replacement voucher. The replacement microwave will need to be special ordered and that will take two weeks. Not very customer focused from my view point. Customer care should be of paramount concern! I don’t see the concern or care!

You were recommended by a friend and I was very impressed with the customer service representative Luke **. The enrollment was easy and the special offers were impressive so I decided to enroll my daughter as well. Again, this was an easy process and I would highly recommend your company. I have been a customer for 15 years with another company and NEVER got an incentive for being a loyal customer. They kept increasing the premium every year.

They keep changing the contractor even when the contractor is telling us they can get the parts then they want us to pay a separate fee for getting new contractors and they won't approve the contractor to fix issues. It's been going on for over a month and now we have to leave town for cancer treatment and they want us to re-open a claim when we get back and pay again for them dropping the ball not us and when we reached out to customer service they were extremely rude and keep telling us that's just how it is, this has been a extremely bad experience and do not recommend to anyone else.

I have been refused coverage for high price fixes always the same would not recommend them. I you do sign with them read the fine print very closely. They tell you all is covered but NOT…. For example air conditioning heating system pool and hot tub problems.. At least they haven’t canceled me because I use it too much.

Choice Home Warranty is awful. Literally took them over 2 weeks to get someone to look at my gas cook top. The first assigned tech, after 4 days, did not work on gas equipment. The next one didn't service the brand, after 9 days. On the 18th day after submitting my claim a tech arrived. Ultimately we could work around no cooktop, but NOW my hot water is out. I put the claim in on Friday morning and as I write this review on Monday afternoon, there is still no assigned tech. If I had to guess they're as bad at paying their techs as they are at paying their claims. Stay away!

Automated attendant asked the same questions several times, even when it required and I clearly answered with a "yes" or "no" answer. Didn't like automated attendant. And haven't heard anything about the status of my claim.

The service provider has been excellent. He has showed up when he said and been very helpful. Using the app claims are easy and responded to quickly. I have been using Choice home warranty for some time now and have been pleased with most things. I do have some questions about how my subscription is tracked.

The technician was fast to help me, but Choice is absurdly slow to get me the Lowe's gift card so I can get my actual appliance up and running, 30 days is ridiculous. If it was at least a check reimbursement I could get the appliance with my credit card now and pay myself back but unfortunately, with a Lowe's gift card, I'm stuck waiting over 30 days for a reimbursement? It makes me very unsure if I will renew when my year contract is up.
I am relieved it's just my microwave that went out and not a water heater or AC! I can't imagine being without those things for 30 days plus while I wait! Never had an experience like this with previous warranty companies, I got Choice to save a few dollars a month but I know who I will be switching back to, not worth saving a few dollars if they are this slow to help the homeowner get their home up and running.

Choice Home Warranty has been very cooperative in all aspects of servicing my needs. I have had 2 warranty companies in the past 3 years and they are far better than any of the others. Monthly payments are reasonable. Service calls are inexpensive. Easy to reach on the phone, no robots, they check on your progress every day until completion. Very pleased to have them.

The company that was sent out to service my dishwasher was very terrible. I request service because the water was not draining out properly. The company collected my service fee and left the water in my dishwasher and stated it had to be replaced because the arm was burn off. The warranty company Choice stated that it was not normal wear and tear on my dishwasher. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I am extremely disappointed in CHW's management of the problems I had with my clothes dryer. The dryer was burning clothes. There was a burning smell coming from the dryer and interior parts on the dryer were also burning, CHW sent out the same vendor 2 times. They could not fix the problem. CHW's only response was they would send the same incompetent vendor out for the 3rd time on the same problem. When I called CHW the reps were either rude or hung up on me. For the safety of my family and my property, I purchased a new clothes dryer without the help of CHW.

Joe came out and quickly assessed the issue after an initial scheduling problem from CHW. Got the approval the next day and was onsite to fix our water heater. Couldn't ask for better service and communication. We highly recommend Joe and Fidelity Plumbing here in the Treasure Valley. I hope Fidelity stays with CHW for a long time.

They do not tell you when you get quoted and pay. They don't tell you about a 30 day wait period. This is clearly a MAJOR issue that should be disclosed BEFORE taking payment. I would not have signed up if this had been communicated.

This is the second claim I filed for the same problem. Thankfully - and finally! - Choice found an HVAC company to come to check out my problem. They found the problem and submitted a claim for repairs. Had they not told me they did that, and I didn’t check the Choice website, I never would have known what was going on. I received no notification emails during the entire claims process. Even now, I know my claim was accepted but have no idea if I’m supposed to pay anything out of pocket when the guys come back in 2 weeks to complete the approved repairs. I’m grateful you guys found the folks who fixed my furnace, but am disappointed in the Choice end of the service.

We have been a customer of Choice Home Warranty for 3+ years and live in a suburb of Pittsburgh. We filed our latest claim in January 2024 for a furnace repair and although their customer portal states that all claims will be assigned in approximately 4-6 hours, it was still not assigned over 24 hours later. It seems their technician database is very limited as it has been my experience that despite the type of system I have filed a claim for service, it takes an inordinate amount of time for them to assign to a repair technician.

CHW evidently doesn't pay contractors very much. The first 2 contractors they assigned my claim to ended up bailing when they found out what they were going to be paid. So I had to go through the process 3 times until they found someone willing to do the job. The other issue is CHW sets an appointment time without checking with either the contractor or the customer! But their email makes it sound like it's a done deal. So you have to know to call the contractor and work out an actual schedule with them. So it took a while, but the issue was eventually resolved. And they covered it without argument, which is also nice.

Just got this company today. Salesman was knowledgeable and explained policy. I will rate at later date if I use the policy. I believe this is needed by myself. The price was right and hopefully the service will be accessible. Today's repairs are so expensive. This fits my needs in the event something breaks down or breaks.

My whirlpool Duet that is 17 yes old is almost like new now. Choice Home Warranty has replaced almost all of the inside of my dryer in the last year. With 7 people living in the house, having a dryer is not a wan. Iit is need and Choice Home Warranty has kept it going for us. Thank goodness for Home Warranty, I would not have wanted to pay full price for those repairs.

My appointment was 11AM-3PM. He arrived at 8:30PM. Problem was taken care of. You should pay me for my time spent waiting instead of being free to do what I needed to be doing. I'm glad my problem was taken care of, but I had things I needed to be taking care of instead of sitting and waiting on the plumber. Plus he was from far away and had to drive a long way to get here.

Michael fixed my heater, but the people running the company billed me over $340, did NOT give me a written copy of the bill & want the Ins. paid in full without a detailed copy of what will be covered. When you buy/pay for something you deserve a receipt promptly in case something goes wrong & to know the cost prior to the server leaving.

Very quick service. Very accurate service. Very knowledgeable plumbers. I’ve had Choice warranty for many years. I’ve renewed my contract with them 3 times. I’m happy to know my house is almost completely covered. It gives you peace of mind! I was even able to cover my in ground pool. If you have a pool you know repairs are very pricey. We’re very happy with the company's quick response to our issues.

The interior pane in my oven broke. Choice got a repairman to my home within a few days. The repair company was terrible. I had to wait all day & it was impossible to speak to anyone. They asked me for some information on my oven so they could send him with the necessary equipment. Didn’t happen And the Choice Care denied my claim! I spent an entire day waiting for nothing, and it cost me $65 !! The second time I’ve tried to use my warranty and the second time I was denied. I’m canceling immediately.

Our garage door had a broken spring. The technician repaired it in about 1.5 hours. He also did a tune-up of the door. It now works and sounds so much better. The company who did the repair is Winston Doors, LLC, and I would recommend this company. They were on time, courteous, and did a good job.

The attendant knew my name because they recognized the number I was calling from and found our account easily. The work order was made in just a couple of minutes. I joined your service last night. The rep that helped me was Keisha **. I asked her to go over what was covered since I didn’t have everything listed. She assured me countertop microwaves and window unit air conditioners were included. I questioned this and she reassured me. After reading the contract last night and speaking with customer service this morning I now know they are not. It’s sickening what a person will do to get credit for a sale. I hope this isn’t a reflection of how your company does business.

I had reviewed a number of policies online and compared them to the warranty I initially had. My home is only a little over 3 years old. But with new construction the way it is and the expense of appliances, I decided I needed a home warranty after moving in. Troy, the salesman provided me with additional information on coverage, answered all my questions, and then told me how I could save additional money by extending the plan for longer than a year. While, the cost was more than I expected to pay at one time, by averaging it out by the years covered, he saved me a considerable amount of money. I had hoped that your company would have offered an installation payment plan over a year to pay off the premium, rather than paying all at once.

The technician was very professional and quick. He found problem (the blower was broken) very quickly and he fixed it fast. The only problem I have was a wait time in temperature of -12F. I started the claim on Saturday and I got appointment on Tuesday and that cost other damages to my house like leaking pipe.

I've been a customer for 3 years and definitely think it's a good company. The only negative is it took 3 weeks to get my Fridge fixed. My other appliances were fixed within a week when broke. The customer service is always available so that I definitely like. I'm a big believer in having a home warranty because you never know when something is going to break down.

I have had my warranty with this company off and on for the past 5 to 6 years and I have to say that I have had a horrible experience. Recently my AC unit gradually stopped working properly and in normal fashion I filled a claim. Well after a tech was assigned and came to my home to assess the issue and issued the claim, as usual it was denied. Now like many other times I have to wait on a case manager to further talk about my problems. In the meantime, I have to sit in my home in the winter with no heat. This is very frustrating and very unhealthy for me and my family and I will not forget the poor service I have been receiving from this company not to mention the plumbing fiasco I'm still dealing with from last year. Live up to your promise you have in your ad, "If we can't fix it, we replace it." Have not experienced that promise my entire time with the company.

Choice responded within a day and made an appointment very quickly. In the meantime, our heat came back on and when the tech called saying he was on his way, we had to tell him we had heat again. We were impressed with the quick service CHOICE provided and will definitely continue with our policy and probably will renew when due.

My technician was great! This is not about him. The communication is horrible. My address was incorrect and I called CHW and talked to a lady to correct it. I asked if my technician would receive the change and she said yes, but he did not. I had written it in the notes on my account just in case, thank goodness. On the Sears site, they tell you to chat if you have any changes, but the chat is not a person and only has certain categories to chat about, so I could never address my problem. I called the only phone number I could find to try and correct my address, but no one answers and they send you to CHAT which doesn't work. That was a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn't use them again for that reason alone. My technician when he finally got here; thank God he called me--was great and very understanding about the confusion. I hope someone takes the time to look into this and resolve it. Very unsatisfied with this.

They had our repair service scheduled within the day, and it was on a weekend. We only had to wait three days for the repairman. The service representative was professional and knowledgeable. He scheduled our second appointment during the service call and ordered the part on the spot. With parts ordered, when all was said and done, our oven was as good as new within a week.

Replaced the leaking water heater in as early as three days through Choice Warranty. Technician was efficient and was on time scheduled. He gave us our options and kept us informed. Helped us get hot water with minimum out of pocket cost for the replacement during the cold front in January. I would recommend Choice Warranty and First Star Plumbing to my friends. For future I would keep Choice Warranty and use their service for my needs.

My water heater was not providing sufficient hot water. The technician (Pedro @ TB Plumbing), performed full diagnostics and determined that the control panel & thermostat settings were off of sync. Now I have enough hot water at the "energy efficient/high usage" setting. His efforts took less than 45 minutes. He was cordial and informative and explained every step he was performing. I would certainly use this company and hope they stay with the CHW program.

Contractor was super pleasant and diagnosed the issue very quickly. He then ordered the part and returned the next afternoon to accomplish the repair. Choice people are always friendly and helpful. The technicians that Sears sent to do the work were not very good. And the communication between each tech and Sears was missing, so each tech had no record of what the last one tried. It took over a month and about 5 visits to get the refrigerator fixed. Thank goodness it is now working well!

I signed up with Choice Home warranty in good faith that the information disclosed during the information phone call would be honest. We informed Choice representative that we have an older home and we were assured that did not influence claim approval. On our first claim, the technician arrived in a timely manner to diagnose the problem and attempt to obtain authorization to fix. Because it was after business hours on a Friday night, authorization could not be obtained because Choice is not an emergency plan. As a result we were without hot water and heater for over a week because Choice denied the repair because of "preexisting condition". Pipes were corroded and that is what caused the gas leak.
Second attempt to submit a claim. It took 24 hours to get a response that a technician could not be located so our water pipe continued to leak until we could contact our plumber. I called to cancel our policy after 24 days and was charged a cancellation fee. When I informed the "manager" we were not told about a cancellation fee, his response was no company talks about cancellation during sign up. I asked to speak with a manager over him and was informed there was no one over him but I could call back (be on hold for who no how long) and speak with a different manager who would provide the same response.

Put in claim for refrigerator in Las Vegas NV. Took 5 days for technician to arrive. Tech said appliance could not be repaired and said they let Choice know. Choice said more info needed. 4 days of Back and forth calling tech company and Choice, both say other is wrong. Finally canceled contract and bought new refrigerator. On another contract for home in MT, made 2 claims months apart for different break downs and Choice could not get a technician out for either case.

Definition of "replacement" needs much more clarity and should include the recommendation of the technician. In this case the recommendation of the technician was to have the entire heating and cooling system replaced because of the need to switch over to a modern coolant (r-22) instead of having two different coolants, the former being much more expensive and less as efficient. Also the option of receiving only a cash reimbursement allowing the customer to assume the lead role in determining the extent of the work to be done as well as the one to do the installation.

They have managed to find a way out. There was a faulty part that caused irreparable damage to the tub and the machine now leaks and they said they cannot help with replacing the machine because they do not cover physical damage even though it is internal and due to the faulty part. So now after waiting over a week to get a service call... paying $ for the service charge... now we have to go buy a dishwasher. We will not be renewing our warranty with Choice.

This last experience was pretty frustrating. Our furnace needed to have the control board replaced, and the company assigned to the claim was much easier to work with than Choice itself. Choice gave me a confirmation for the replacement date with a timeframe range of about seven hours. We cleared our calendar and canceled plans to be here during that time. The time came and went and no one showed up. I tried to call Choice and was transferred over and over to a number saying the office is closed. This was a Friday, so now there would be no one I could speak with until the next week. I left a messages and wrote into the company on the customer support page. I never received a callback even still.
EMS-HVAC was much more helpful and responded to me later that evening. They let me know Choice should not have given me that confirmation email because they did not even have the part yet. I don't know how that happened, but it was quite frustrating. I have still yet to hear from Choice about that issue. The company replaced the furnace and all is well, but I’m not super happy with Choice at this point. Why not even call back to check in on things or try and make it right?

The original repair date for my refrigerator was set for 3 day after I called. When I called to ask for a sooner time I was told I would have to call the repair company myself to try and get one. This was unacceptable. The service technician was very capable and was not any part of the problem.

Once we had a firm date, there were no issues. Resolved the problem. In and out no problems. My time frame was 7 thru 11. They got here at 11. They were done in 10 minutes. It was an easy replace and they had it in the truck. I was able to call and rearrange the time. The lady at the office was kind and helped me with appointment with ease.

We were strongly encouraged to find a qualified technician ourselves & file for reimbursement. We found someone who is coming today but the process is confusing & not as easy as when CHW sends a technician. So we will see how this works. Also finding a phone number for CHW customer service is difficult.

From the original service call on 11/24/23, it took Sears 7 weeks to successfully complete the work. The original tech had poor people skills, failed to properly diagnose what was needed, causing a ridiculous delay, and was obviously ill suited for the job. At our insistence, Sears finally sent another tech - John - employee ** who completed the fix in 10 minutes! My 5 star review is for John....

I would have given this review a five star but I was not pleased with the time that I was scheduled to wait for someone to fix my garage door spring. I was locked in my garage and could not open the door and the warranty service scheduled me 3 days out. Thank God. The company called me and I was able to get them to come the next morning. Extremely dissatisfied with my claim care rejection. I had a water leak in the ceiling of my basement, and they refused to take care of it. Your company told me that it was a result of abuse or neglect. How can it be abuse when a water leak is in your ceiling? This company was given to me as a referral from a friend and obviously I made a great mistake.

Called for repair of furnace. Choice call back was immediate. Scheduled an appointment with Just Better Air Conditioning and Heating. Satisfied with Technician Jason. However I was not satisfied with the charge. Choice charge is $65.00 but in order for the charge to be $65.00 the company wanted cash. Since I used my Debit card they added another $1.95 to the call which totaled $66.95.

It stopped working. The Technician was very kind and knowledgeable with this issue. He knew exactly how to diagnose the unit. He explained everything professionally. He was very informative and covered any questions I had. He discussed what was happening with this microwave so that we knew and understood the issues. Weather conditions considered at the time required more time for a technician to accept the assignment. Other options were offered if this needed an immediate solution. As it did not, the time needed for the assignment of this by Choice Warranty was appropriate given the weather. As previous claims have been satisfactorily completed in the past and present is the reason for this recommendation.

Unit not cost effective to repair. After 20 years in service Choice allowed almost 50% of original value. Diagnostic service was prompt and hassle free. Reimbursement was made quickly. I would definitely use and recommend Choice Home Warranty. I have used them for several years and recently purchased multi-year coverage.

The service technician that came to check our washer was knowledgeable. He found the problem. He told us he would report it to you. I received a report from you. You told me that you would replace our washer. I then received and offer of $343.00 in the form of a Lowe's card. I checked at Lowe's for a washer. They range from $498.00 on sale at the time all the way up $800.00. We believe that an offer of $343.00 will not replace our washer. I would for you to find a washer to replace ours.

I'm so pleased with this plumbing company. The guy they sent me, Jeffery, he called as he was on his way as the appointment guide stated would happen and he arrived within the window he said he would. He was so thorough, he asked questions, he checked things I complained about and noticed other things that I had not. He was knowledgeable and polite and didn't make me feel as ignorant as I clearly am/was and I appreciate that. Technician arrived early---which is great. However, through no fault of his, the part won't be here until Friday at the earliest. It's in the high teens at night and we have no heat. Would recommend trying to source alternatively other than just contracted vendors for parts. Technician was great! Would like to be able, through the program, to choose our local vendor who knows our unit.

I had an excellent experience with the case manager assigned to my case. She did an excellent job explaining to me my options and we came out with a perfect solution to the issue at hand. She was professional and courteous. Although my case was not simple, she took her time and guided me through my options. Scheduling a time to speak with her was very easy and convenient with my schedule.

I contacted Choice today regarding my policy. It expired and I purchased a new one along with some discounts. Salesperson was very helpful and professional. Only negative was when my policy was to be renewed, I didn't notice and it expired. You should have auto-renewal for those that prefer it.

(1) Whirlpool refrigerator freezer has a ice maker that running over the ice tray. I have take an ice pick to breaker up the ice. (2) GE Refrigerator freezer light is burned out. Tried to change it out. It gave me a shock and you can feel the electricity in the metal handle sometimes. I called the 1st time. A lady hung up on me. I called back. The lady told it would be $85.00 service call.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with your service. Our furnace stopped working on Sunday night. I entered a claim on your system on Monday morning. This is Wednesday evening and NO technician has called or emailed to provide service. This is Kansas and we are in the middle of a deep freeze with temperatures as low as 20 below. When I called to express that I could get technician here this afternoon, they told me I had to wait 48 hours for them to find a technician. I understand your rules but when I can get one here the same day, you should be able to get one here in two days. All the customer service rep said was, "if you get your own, we won't pay for it." Is this your way of getting out of paying for legitimate services needs for your customers? I'm so disappointed.

Entered two repair requests on separate items. One item was scheduled for repair; no response on second work order. Excellent technician, no complaints on service. I have prepaid 3 years of CHOICE, was told my service call would be $65... I paid the $75 charge asked for - it's not my job to negotiate. I am inundated with CHOICE emails offering me good deals to entice me to sign up... totally unnecessary and huge nuisance. I am so far very disappointed in my choice of CHOICE.

Rep was very courteous and took my information about the sudden knocking and clanking noises coming from my house heater in a very polite manner. Received claim number right away along with how I would be contacted for follow-through of the claim. When I did not understand what he said, he repeated it with no problem.

I decided to cancel my policy the day I opened it after seeing that there were almost 12 thousand complaints to the BBB in the last three years. I planned to take my time and research warranty options understanding I might choose Choice again. But the representative who “helped” me was rude, bullying and condescending — which pointed to the culture I read about in the complaints. Glad I won’t be paying to be treated that way.

We had an issue with our furnace. I filed a claim on a Sunday morning with a Monday holiday to follow. On Monday Choice Home Warranty notified us that an appointment was set up for Tuesday to have the furnace checked. Because temps were far below zero I expected that it might be some time to get a response, but we were pleased that the issue was taken care of on Tuesday as it was a really busy time for HVAC companies.

Phil ** was my Sales Manager and he was Great! I’m new to Choice but he was able to explain CHW purpose and how it functions when submitting a claim and fixing or replacement of the item. He also offered a discount and explained how the monthly billing process works. He was thorough, patient and answered all my questions clearly. We were done in less than 10 mins. Outstanding customer service and Choice had reasonable prices.

I would NOT recommend this company. They seem to always find a technicality to deny your claim. They mislead you when trying to make the sale and don't follow through on their promises. They are pleasant to deal with but that does not make up for the poor service. Save yourself from the heartache you will have when filing a claim.

I had my ice maker replaced less than a year ago and I still have to pay a service fee to have it replaced again. I believe you should at least have a year warranty on parts and labor. I should not have to pay another service charge. You claim to be the best home warranty provider so prove it.

A Home Repair repair agent was sent out to check the appliance and reported to Choice Home Warranty that the parts to repair the unit were no longer available. The amount I was offered was not acceptable and I requested to speak to a customer service representative, I am satisfied with the amount to replace my double wall electric oven but not the Method of payment (Lowe’s gift card). Or the untimely manner of payment. I still have not received payment. I submitted my claim #** on 1/2/24.

My Guest Bathroom fan was out. Called Choice, got an appointment, they company came out, got the approval and he fixed the fan motor. Very nice guy and he was very fast. My out of pocket was the fee of $65 and $25 for the repair. Very good experience. Didn't take long to repair either.

I called to file a claim that my furnace went out. I live in Chicago where we were in a deep freeze at a -10 with my pipes at the risk of freezing and bursting. The first She was not very accommodating at all. I waited 3 days for someone to come out called Thur. at 9pm, didn’t get serviced until Monday at 1:30pm. I think this is unacceptable. Due to the negative temperatures this should have been a high priority call. The technician that was sent was Great. He explained and made sure that everything was working before leaving. Thus far, our experience with Choice has been good. So far, they have been awesome. I had a leak in a couple of faucets. It wasn't a big emergency. They didn't come immediately, but they kept in communication with me about it. The technician who came was extremely professional. I needed new faucets, and so he got right on it with Choice Warranty and ordered right away. He was meticulous about matching what I already had. He was really quick to get back to me. There had been a delay in the product. He had an appointment and then they didn't come in. When they came in, he scheduled the very next day.

I had an issue with dishwasher and raised a request. Technician came and did not even open the dishwasher and said there is no issue and kept running cycles saying it is just foaming. When it did not worked after he left, I called him again and he said that he will order a part. After few days I called him again and he said part is backordered. I had GE person came and had a look at dishwasher and after running diagnostics they mentioned that due to this running other parts are also messed up. I called technician again and then Choice Home said that this is normal wear and tear and they don’t cover. How come they approved the part at first place and now saying they do not cover. Overall 2 technicians came through chw and made the situation worse. And chw is not covering the claim when the technician they send made it worse. Never go for the service from them. Waiting to see if they can resolve this issue.

After having another home warranty coverage for 12 years decided to switch. The agent Henri was very helpful and found great saving for our needs. So happy I made the call today. Got a great deal and locked in for 6 years to boot. Our old warranty rates went up every year and deductible went up 3 times in 12 years. Their service was horrible and always told that's not covered. Was told I would never hear that again. Thank you.

The guidelines were excellent and very informative. I inquired to email add concerning this service. I received numerous emails, text and phone calls from different agents and was quite frankly becoming quite irritated by all the calls and texts. I caregive an elderly lady and didn't have time to speak or text until today. When I told Jen my situation and I would have to call she gave me the number and said call at my convenience and gave me hours and number. At that point is when I decided that yes I would call. If the texts and phone calls would have persisted I wouldn't have called because I was beginning to wonder was this spam or the real deal. Messages were left from each phone call which were many which mimicked any scams that might be out there especially my being a senior.

I already had a friend who has this type of program and has been satisfied so I was definitely interested. I have been in customer service and sales all my working life so I know about working hard to get a sell.
Nathan was excellent as a representative with giving me the information without my sensing I was just another person to make some money off of. He gave me the information with no pressure at all. After I purchased he then asked if I were military or Senior and I stated yes. At that point he gave me the info concerning the discounts for the next few years. He answered all of my questions with sincerity. Nathan was most professional and I could say used my approach to making a sale to a consumer. That is why I was able to listen to the info from him...and the extra sell of the extra years and say yes. I had a few more questions concerning price guaranty, transferring and refunds. He had already given me the information but I always ask after the information is given to see how the response is...to see if the response would be one of patience when repeating.
In closing I can say I am excited about this plan and can't wait to read the contract to see what it all entails. Nathan was professional, friendly, very knowledgeable about the home warranty, was patient and willing to make sure I understood what I was signing up for. He defintiely is an asset to Choice Home Warranty and should be acknowledged for his over and above job of customer service. To me if you have good customer service with a company even if there are issues I can be assured if there are issues they will handled correctly, efficiently and no hassling.
I have to commend you providing the guidelines as what the company is all about and definitely covering any question one might have concerning what Choice Home Warranty stands for and is about. During this conversation, I had given the sales rep my requirements to send me a confirming e-mail with his name, extension (which he offered during call) presumably with the policy number (was not sent). In the year I have had this warranty they have come out about three times and it’s always been quick. Time technician gave me a problem because he wouldn’t respond but they resolved it and sent someone else in two days. Customer service is always been quick to respond. Our clothes dryer worked but did not get hot enough to dry the clothes. The tech sent out by Choice was there the next business day and replaced the heating element. He was fast and efficient, and the dryer worked great when he left. I would recommend Choice as your Home Warranty choice!

Sam arrived on time, even in the cold damp rainy weather,. I had my dryer all ready for his inspection. He was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem... detached dryer knob. Fortunately it wasn't broken. He unplugged it, reconnected the knob, repowered and confirmed it was working correctly. He wasn't too chatty but was quite friendly. He processed my payment and was gone all in less than 30 minutes. I was quite pleased of course.

This company is known for denying claims because they don't want to pay. They misinterpret your contract and the policy to deny your claim. I've had several different subcontractors tell me to switch my home warranty to another company because they'll deny your claim. If it's at the end of the year. Everything is denied from Oct through Dec. They'll point to one of the excludes even though it's not what is occurring in your claim. There could be water everything where and they'll say it's looks like gel. Or they'll claim it's rusty and plastic can't rust. Someone needs to file a lawsuit against this company.

I don't like that all communication is by email, not phone or text. It is very impersonal and there is no input from the customer. I don't like that I am supposed to be at home from 8AM until 5PM for the repair. That is ridiculous, regardless of the reason. People have other things to do in their lives for which taking an entire day off to stay at home and wait is not possible. The system doesn't work well for me because I am not tied to my email for this kind of appointment, nor do I understand how, when requesting a repair on an appliance, I may have to wait over a week for a day assigned, but not have any idea of the time of day that it will happen.
This is my first experience with Choice Home Warranty and it is very different from a "local" home warranty company that employs technicians who work for that company, The schedules are in 2-3 hour windows and the repairs happen within 48 hours. Customer phones the company and they phone you and tell you when the repair person will be there. It is much more agreeable to me. I repeat that the person who did the repair was great: it is the system that doesn't work for me.

The person Choice Home Warranty sent was excellent. When the part that they replaced broke, they came back and fixed it. What did not work for me is that you cannot talk to a real person. You have to first put your claim in on the computer and unfortunately, no one works on weekends or after 5 o'clock. I had a problem that started on Friday afternoon and didn't get any help until Tuesday morning. It happened to be a broken furnace which in the winter time is a problem. A company as big as Choice Home Warranty should have service over the weekend and after 5 o'clock. It's ludicrous to think that that is impossible.
They also say that a claim can be addressed between 24 and 48 hours. You're offered a chance to go ahead and get your own repair person. But the repair person that you get has to contact them in order to get approval before they fix something or Choice does not pay for it. If I can't get through on the weekends, how can the service person get through on the weekends? I didn't wanna take the risk that if I had hired somebody myself, I would have lost the opportunity because someone at Choice would decide I had my own guy and they were not gonna do that. It's a very fragile situation with you getting your own person so no matter what you do, you have to wait. The second thing that's difficult is that the people that they hire are not English-speaking. For some of them, I've had problems with understanding their language and they speak very quickly. Choice Home Warranty needs to vet their people better so that their language skills are better.

Also, made comparisons of his warranty to my existing warranty with a competitor that sounded like his offer was a better value. I still have to compare the warranty between the two companies to be sure which is best for me.

I signed up for Choice Home Warranty when I purchased my home in April 2023. This issue stems from a shower blockage/stoppage. I put in my claim on December 24th. On December 28th, the first tech showed up and said that because I cleaned up the backflow from the shower drain, that there was nothing he could do. He took the $75 service charge, and left. A week later, the shower drain backs up again. A 2nd tech from the same plumbing company arrives and tells me that the 1st tech had since been fired. The 2nd tech, without doing ANY due diligence diagnosed the blockage as roots growing in the pipes, which is not covered in the home warranty, and then left.
I hired a good plumbing company who snaked my pipes up to 100 ft (covered by home warranty). This did not clear the stoppage. The plumbing company then ran a camera and discovered it was standard wear and tear that caused the stoppage NOT ROOTS, I have video of this. We did have to jet the home to fix the issue. I understand camera & jetting are not covered by home warranty, and I have no problem paying that, however, should the tech from the home warranty contracted company did their job, I would not have had to pay another plumbing company to snake the pipes.
When I filed a dispute with Choice, the case manager said that their contracted company tried to snake/cable my pipes, but it didn't work. THEY LIED. The contracted company did NOT do any work or due diligence to diagnose the issue. Choice should pay the $475 I paid to have the pipes snaked as there were NO ROOTS in my plumbing, regardless if cable/snake fixed the issue or not. TLDR: Don't go with Choice, this isn't the first issue I had, but IT WILL be the last. There are much better home warranty companies out there.

Choice Home Warranty is terrible. If people aren't as persistent as I am, they're not honoring their contracts. My heater broke and I called them. They told me they were looking for someone to come out. It took over two weeks. I was without heat. I kept trying to get them to escalate it. They finally went to a service representative who placated me with new language, who said no. I had asked if I could have my own repair person, would they reimburse me. They said no because I’ve had to use that service before and had a reimbursement. I got my exhaust fan fixed. They got scripted things to say stall me out. They acted like they couldn't do anything to let me get someone out here. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and was told no. I was left with no recourse.
I reported it to the Nevada Division of Insurance and they contacted them. Eventually, they said they'd pay for it, but they needed to see photographs before the repair was done. By that time, I had engaged someone to repair it. I didn't wanna do it off warranty because I thought what if there was something expensive going on. That was why I have the insurance. But I couldn't go longer without heat in my house. It was 10 degrees at night for a few nights. I was running on this tiny electric heater in one room. I got someone to come out. Fortunately, it wasn't a huge repair. I told the Division of Insurance that I don't have any photographs. They just needed to pay for it. It wasn't a lot of money. It was $240. The Division of Insurance contacted them and they reimbursed me for the cost of the repair.
When I had a repair done on something else and had my own contractor come in because they couldn't find anybody, he had to send them photographs. It was a water heater. He had to send them a detailed listing of the parts, what needed to be done, and what they charged. It was regular contractor charges. But they talked him down on the charges. I ended up having to pay more because the charges were more than what they were willing to pay him. It's a sham. I live in a mobile home. In Nevada, you have to have licensed contractors with mobile home work who have that permit. There are people here who do many. But they don't wanna work with these warranty services and Choice in particular because they pay slow. They always wanna bargain down the price. The best and most reputable contractors in the area don't want anything to do with them.
I reported a washing machine that was broken in late November. They sent somebody out. He came out, but he never responded after he did the diagnostic. I finally told Choice. They sent me somebody else was gonna do it the other day. They finally engaged Sears to do it, which probably charges more.

The tech that came out was nice and thorough and explained everything. I am scheduled for a return service to fix the issue or to have the toilet replaced. I have not yet heard any further information at this time and look forward to working with the company to fix the issue.

Save yourself money and headaches dealing with this company. If I could rates negative I would. Tried to charge over 2K to replace a water heater. What’s the coverage for if I have to pay over 2K. Case manager very unprofessional and rude Shauntel **, acts like she has no supervisor. Management should definitely record her calls with customers.

Updated on 02/09/2024: After calling in and filing the claim it your company a few days to find someone to my the repairs to my system. Then I got a email from Choice asking if I wanted to opt out of the claim and get paid to do it on my own. I did take the option. It took over two weeks for choice to find a repair company and it took them two week to contact me. In the meantime I did the repair myself. The company you sent the work to was very slow to respond anyway. I am not a happy customer with choice home warranty. You contact for more information.
Original: Part of my house's electrical system has gone out. I open a new claim to get it fixed. I call in and the system was fast and it opened my claim. This the direction. Use the automated system. Now I am waiting on one of Choice's home warranty services to contact me to see about getting back in working order.
