We had Choice before at another church we were at. We lived in a parsonage and my refrigerator went out and Choice came out and worked on it then. I was always happy with the service. I like the fast service. This is a brand-new policy for me. But we had Choice before for about four years and I would recommend it to anyone. Submitting a claim is simple. You pick up the phone and call them and they come right out, no questions asked, and they look into the problem. Choice also sends me a text and tells me who's coming. I like the peace of mind of knowing that I can get my stuff fixed and not break the bank.

Choice told me that any time I call somebody for service, I have a $75 deductible and they take care of the rest. I signed up in December and everything is going good so far.

I had to file a claim for an AC unit. I spoke with representatives and they told me what I needed and then they sent somebody out. The tech went to the unit, found out what the problem was, and came back with a part on the same day. They took care of it. All in all, Choice gives the most coverage for the best price.

When I signed up with Choice, it took me several calls to get the account number if I needed to do anything. You can't even get in on the system if you don't have the account number. When you try to log on, they check your stuff to make sure you're there. I also tried getting a copy of the policy but they don't mail things either. I still don't have anything that shows my account number. But it was pretty easy to get in contact with an actual person.

I had a bunch of questions based off of reviews and Choice gave me very good answers and that made sense to me. They only use 4-star and above service workers and they offer to fix things that might still be working, but not properly. So everything that my old warranty didn't do, they do. The rep talked about the coverage very thoroughly. Signing up with them at first felt a little telemarkety because a lot of different people would call after I filled out some information online, which I don't love. But I get that that's business and speaking with them was enjoyable. It was just multiple calls and emails and texts. But everyone I spoke to was great. The person that I spoke to was very personable. I didn't feel like I was talking to somebody reading a script. He was actually talking to me like a human being, which I appreciate.

We switched after years with AHS... You have better coverage at better rates, and the repairman who came out to help fix our fridge was topnotch. Your claim filing system is fast and easy. And the per trip charge is 25% less than we were paying with AHS. All in all, we are thrilled we switched to Choice Warranty.

These plumbers were the best I’ve ever dealt with. They called, they came on time. They were neat and they fixed my drain. It was a great experience. I’ve already recommended them to a friend and I can’t thank you enough for sending them. They are an asset to your company and I really love your service. I’ve had it now for almost 2 years and I’ve never had any problems.

It took a few days but once the service call came, it went well, technician was very professional and fixed the problem. The tech did a good job communicating with me after the service to let me know where the problem was and how he fixed it. I would recommend them again if I need service done.

I used the phone to put in a claim. Call back time was excellent and claim was approved and submitted within 15 minutes of original phone call to submit the claim request. The representative was courteous and efficient as well as friendly. The process to submit a claim was easy and very pleasant.

I would love to leave a 5 star rating however in all I unfortunately I can't at this time. I had to contact the plumber when he didn't show up during the appt which was between 7am and 11am. It took 3 times calling before he answered and he told me he hadn't gotten any information of the appointment. He did come that day and found the leak however it was not at the part we thought. It was in the handle part that turns on and off the water to my faucet. So we wouldn't cause a worse leak, he disconnected everything off my sink and took pictures of the part that was cracked and leaking so he could submit it to get approval to complete the work. It has now been 7 days and I have heard nothing on when my repair will be completed. I currently have to use a bucket to bring water to my kitchen to fill up my sink so I can wash my pots and pans, clean my counters and mop my floor. I would greatly appreciate it if the work would get done and soon.

Water heater is over heating. Maybe an electrical problem. Was able to register a claim quickly but was not able to relate that this may be an emergency because cannot unplug electric cord as it is in metallic sheath through wall. During relating claim should be asked this question. Have not been assigned tradesman yet.

Your service is responsive and representatives are helpful BUT it takes too long to get anything done based on your process. The plumber comes out, detects a leak coming from the faucet and it needs to be replaced. Instead of repairing or replacing it then he has to go back fill a report, await a response from CHW, order the part and reschedule an appt for install. This process took up to 5 days. Meanwhile we were without water in the kitchen faucet, hence unable to cook or clean. On top of that, the faucet replacement was for builder quality but apparently based on the cheapest builder, not the same quality as the property builder had originally installed in my unit. I don't expect better but at LEAST a comparable quality and model as that originally installed by my builder. I ended up upgrading the faucet at my expense just to have a in-kind faucet installed. I purchased 4 long term CHW contracts. I hope this was not a mistake.

Not please at all with working with poeple in the company. The electrician sent did some repairs then discovered one of the fans wasn't working. He reported what he did along with reporting the broken fan unit. When I called the company they said they knew nothing about the fan and I would need to open another claim, which meant I would have to pay another $75 to the same vendor. Not pleased at all with what I have seen with customer service with the company By the way I purchased a five year policy, perhaps I made a mistake.

I've had a few home warranty companies and Choice has been the best by far. Best in terms of cost, but more importantly to us, best in terms of how quickly the service gets scheduled, and how great the service providers have been at figuring out and solving the problems. The website is super easy to use and asks questions that other warranty companies don't, allowing me to be very specific about the issue, cutting down on multiple trips by the service provider.

The worker wasn’t able to fix the problem. He had to order the parts,which he did from my home. I was told that the parts would be shipped to me. I got an email saying that they were shipped out on Saturday 3-2-24. I haven’t received anything from the supplier, haven’t heard back from the technician,, haven’t heard from you yet about what’s going on? Someone was supposed to be here today 3-7-24, between eight am and five pm. It's ten forty am. Haven’t heard anything back yet, what’s going on???

I was just informed that there is an additional charge for my repair without any explanation. This is not right, very unethical. There is no reason you should not explain the extra charges. I feel your marketing to get people to sign up are very misleading. I am sure you have it in fine print somewhere in your contract but that doesn't make it right.

My garage door opener “snapped” and failed to open the door. I used CHW’s website to file a claim. Service was scheduled within a few hours. When the garage door technician arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and informed me of the follow up needed to finish the repair. I have not yet been contacted to schedule the repair, but I am confident the repair will be completed as promised.

The tech was great. Knowledgeable. The resulting repair and labor parts cost were way off base. Not sure this is their cost but more of a Choice thing. The coil was quote was at ~$1500, but was found locally brand new OEM for $487. Labor quoted was 2500, which other than brazing is not that much or that difficult.

I was impressed with how speedily a professional contacted me and scheduled my service in 2 days! The only complaint was that Choice gave me one time window for the morning and the professional gave me two different time windows on the same day for the afternoon. I contacted Choice and they cleared up the issue. The contractor did a great job when he arrived. Unfortunately, we have to wait for a part for my broken garage door opener but the contractor educated me in how to manage my garage door in the meantime. When part arrives, I'll be scheduled for another visit. Looking forward to it!

He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, fast, clean and very Professional. He called the day before coming, sent reminder email. He was on time. Very courteous and reliable. I overpaid him $10 and came back and returned the money to me. That shows more than honesty, but also integrity. I am very satisfied with the service and the technician. I totally recommend his services 100%.

I called Choice HW on Saturday to report problem and was hung up on three times. I finally used the online which isn’t as responsive. It always takes too many days to set up an appt. Then when the repairman comes, I’m told they don’t have the part and have to come back after approval from Choice HW. This repair right now will have taken one week. And it’s not fixed yet.

Because of Choice Home Warranty, the process of having a key part to my water heater repaired was seamless. The in network vendor completed the work in a timely manner. The whole process took slight over 72hrs. Not only would I recommend Choice Home Warranty but have already done so to several family members, colleagues, and friends.

I am very disappointed after submitting my 1st claim. Parts do fall under normal wear and tear according to 2nd and third opinions I got. Unfortunately Choice Warranty opted to deny my claim including appeal. I Feel that If a Customer has no responsivity for a Damaged Part it should be covered into warranty. I am needing to Spend more out of pocket now not expecting this loss at home and damage to my budget. I just hope that it isn't like this every time I am going to have to submit a claim going forward because they promise everything is covered although some exclusions apply.

The plumber was supposed to show up today from 3-8 pm. I waited at my house all day for him to come. I had to cancel an appt and wasn’t able to do a couple of things that needed to get done. I am very dissatisfied with CHW and their plumbing contractor.

I submitted two claims. However, both were plumbing problems. Why do I have to pay an $85.00 fee twice when both are for plumbers? This doesn't seem to be very fair to pay the plumber twice. Yes there are two plumbing problems however, it seems to me I am paying some of what is supposed to be Choice Home Warranty's part.

Choice Home Warranty is not worth the money you will spend on buying their contract, even the Ultimate Plan. There are more exclusions than inclusions. Read through their contract before you buy. There have been two systems in our home that we opened claims for. Our master shower had a leak and because it was the pan that was leaking, "pans are excluded..." When our air conditioning unit failed, they had multiple excuses to deny our claim. There is always something.

The representative was kind and understanding. The plan choice is simple, either basic, or total. His answers to my questions were clear and to the point. He also tried to help me get a better quote as much as possible. I would highly recommend it to my friends. Excellent service!

The tech was on time and very friendly. He seem to be more knowledgeable than some of the past tech we have had. He took a little while but was able to make his best guess and it seems to be working fine now. I don't know what else to say.

Rep was rude and pushy and rushed me. Did not want to listen to my questions but gave a discount when I told him I would call AHS. His personality was horrible. The claim was processed and a techinician arrived a day after filing the claim. Very fast service with a reliable company and technician. Unfortunately the washer was beyond repair. Choice offered a Lowes gift card in lieu of them replacing the washer. We found a replacement at Lowes that was equivalent to what we had and was on sale so the amount offered was acceptable. After accepting the gift card, we were informed it would take up to 30 days to get the gift card by email. The sale will be over and the offered amount is not enough to replace my washer. I feel duped by this offer. Not happy and we've had Choice for several years with great service.

I had problems with my washing machine. I called off for service. They send these people to the house. They come and they start to work on the wash machine. Then they don’t have the pasta. They got ordered pods then they come back and help we gotta get more pots. And then they don’t understand when you’re talking to them and I just handicapped my wife and I and we just can’t go to the machine place to clean our clothes. So I had to purchase a new one and the people that answered the phone and you tried dealing with them don’t understand anything. Thank God I got in touch with a manager coordinator and she took care of everything. If it wasn’t for her, I would think I’ll be changing companies.

The man came out and looked at the Microwave and he diagnosed it. He was on time and was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. He submitted the info and they decided to give me an amount for the replacement of the microwave and a small fee for hauling away and installing a new one.

After two problems with one service provider, a second company representative showed up and said the control panel on our Maytag wall oven was not working and could not be replaced as it was no longer made. Choice told us they would have Lowe's send us a gift certificate for $338.00 to buy a new replacement. I cannot find a comparable wall oven with convection for this price. I am not happy with the small amount and have not heard from Lowe's about the gift certificate.

This is my third use of Choice warranty and it's the first really good one. My previous experiences were so disheartening that I didn't plan to renew. Perhaps the fact that I complained about the past helped them try harder to please me this time. I really thought it was going to take a lot longer and I would be without hot water for a month. They surprised me by sending a very good tech who made sure that I got taken care of rapidly and I was only without hot water for 3 days. Thank you for showing me that you can be reliable. This experience was so much better.

Today I’m reviewing my last claim with Choice. They were quick to get someone to take my claim. The company they sent was awesome! Diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour. Even though this is my first review I have had numerous claims because I have two different policies. One is for my home and one for a rental. They have all been handled efficiently and fairly. My only complaint is the monthly bill increased by $20 after the first three months and the amount to be paid at the time of services increased by $20 as well. I’ve had other home warranty companies and they are by far the best!

My wife and I were pleased with everything they did yesterday. They drove all the way from Bryant and were actually 30 minutes early. Technician fantastic! On time, fixed problem 15 minutes. Took CHOICE 24 days to get someone to my home. Dozens of calls asking for help. 24-48 hrs is their motto. Terrible cust service. Second try water heater. Called December 23. Today March 3rd still have no help yet. Have heard you will be helped in 24-48 hours so many times that I may get a tattoo 24-48 hrs.

Well I pay for warranty, was given $193 to replace my microwave, had to pay $85 for the deductible. To buy a similar microwave looks like I will still be out $500 roughly, I will definitely question Choice Home Warranty when it comes time to renew. The gentleman who came out was great to work with.

I landed on the Choice website during my research for home warranty options. I hadn't even decided to choose Choice but as I was considering completing the form to request a quote I received a call from a local number. I normally don't answer but when I did it was from Choice. Very apprehensive about whether this was truly a representative from Choice. I listened and Tal provided his name, call callback number and understood my apprehension. He called back to inform me of a billing error before I could even notice it myself. I logged onto the site before our call ended and was provided a very good quote for a Total plan. I had a very good initial experience and hope that when I do need to use the policy it will be just as helpful.

I have a Bult-in Microwave that is suppose to be fully covered for repairs, they decided not to repair it and give me Lowe's gift with a value of $199 instead. The value of my microwave at least at Lowe's is $500 and then I have to find and pay someone to replace the microwave. I never recommend Choice Warranty to anyone. Use AHS.

Air Control NWF are great people to work with. They came out and found the problem quickly. They made the whole situation a much better experience with their knowledge of the HVAC systems. They are a fair and honest company to deal with. They do what they say they are going to do. That's hard to find nowadays. Great service!

The plumber diagnosed the issue and told us the entire extent of the problem. He was very professional and pleasant. He will return Friday to complete the work. I was impressed with the way he handled the situation. He obviously knew what he was doing. I look forward to the completion of this project. So far Choice Warranty is worth the money for the work that has been done. Needless to say that I am happy with the work being done.

CHW and their service provider were very prompt to respond to my claim. The service technician has paid visit three times and has been on time every time. The appliance is still under repair at this time due to the the delay in getting the proper part. The technician is very courteous and works diligently.

Our techs for both claims were friendly, knowledgeable, called to let us know they were on their way. Appoints were booked very quickly, which was very appreciated. Good communication via text or email by the Choice Warranty. Overall, this time was a very good compared to the nightmare we had last time.

My air conditioning stopped working and I contacted Choice. They arranged a technician to come over the following day and fix the problem. The technician was very courteous and professional. I would recommend Choice Warranty to any of my friends. I would like to also add that Choice Warranty is very fast to resolve customer issues.

We called to inquire about new 1st time coverage options, ask questions etc. being we currently had a policy thru another company and we were just checking. Adam answered everything ask questions to understand us and what we had what we were looking for and issues with current policy, he even answered all our questions and even helped us try to know how home warranty works in general. He made the transition so easy and very understanding and made sure we understood things. Adam was super exceptional.

Furat from A-Z had the parts and fixed my problems! He was very courteous and explained the problems and the fixes. Furat was very knowledgeable and had me back up and running! He did explain everything to me and that it was double the service fee due to two different claim numbers.

I'll be more fair than I feel I was treated on very first claim. My claim was denied because the non working unit was said to be due to a rat that gnawed wires and shorted it out. So now I was not pleased. How am I to know what the cause was. So now I'm having to pay for replacement parts and labor myself. Thanks for nothing, except taking my money.

Handled a plumbing issue at our rental house in Texas. Service fee was handled over the phone as we do not live in the same state as the issue. Filed the claim on a Saturday and had a plumber out first thing Monday. Plumber responded to a voice mail I left on a Sunday, after normal hours. I would recommend the plumber even outside of Choice Warranty. One of the best experiences regarding any claim I have ever had. Just renewed both my house and the rental house policies for another year.

My water heater wasn’t giving hot water. The polite was out. Choice sent Force plumbing and they fixed my problem right way. I was very happy. I definitely would recommend Choice to anyone. I submitted my claim and it was answered in the same day and so did Force Plumbing. So I had hot water the very next day.

The technician who serviced my home was very effective. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it without any disruption to me. He called to give me an estimated time for his arrival and he called again when he arrived. This was a very good experience. He was pleasant, professional, efficient and effective.

My first claim was for broken springs to the garage door opener. It was late Friday afternoon when I filed the claim. Monday midday the repair was completed and I paid $85.This was a dream come true. I’m so glad I chose Choice home warranty company for home warranty coverage. Their service was first class.

My garage door opener was making a horrible noise and will not open/close. Called in a claim and they are working to get it assigned for fixing the same day. Waiting only for a call or date to come repair the opener. Hope to get it fixed before any rain or hail arrives.

I had to wait over a week to get it fixed. I had to make several calls to have the work approved and besides the 60$ co- pay I had to pay an extra 95$. I have 2 policy with Choice and I am not happy. Never put a claim and was treated unfairly.

This company is fantastic. The technician Mr. ** came and repaired both bathroom exhaust fans right away. He is very professional, nice and informative. He figured out the problem immediately. He went and got the proper fans needed and installed them correctly. They worked wonderfully. I would certainly use and recommend him to anyone.

I was a customer for 5 years, but they no longer have companies in the Peoria, IL. area willing to do business with them. Called in the middle of Nov. 2023 to fix a faucet leak. Three weeks later they send a guy from 1-1/2 hours away. I told him the problem and what he would need to fix it. He shows up and says it was just a loose screw, charged me the $65 deductible and left. Two days later it's leaking again, called several times to come back and never did. Called Choice to complain and they assigned it to another company about 1-1/2 hours away and after several promises they were coming, still no show. Contacted Choice asking for my $65 back to hire a local denied. Today on 3-5-24 canceled policy.

The technician, Alex, was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. He found the problem quickly, and explained everything in a clear manner. Our biggest issue with Choice is never the contracted technicians, it is that Choice always seems to find a reason to not cover a repair. We trust Alex's recommendation. Does Choice?

They were prompt in sending a repairman out to check the microwave and dishwasher. Repair man fixed the microwave. Was unable to fix the dishwasher. They sent me a price to help replace the old broken dishwasher that could not be fixed. Repair was very professional and courteous, he was efficient in his work.

Service Tech was courteous, professional and fast. Prior to the work conducted, we were advised an assessment of our unit would occur. Throughout the entire process, we were given updates. After the work concluded, the Service Tech ensured no mess was left. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family.

I was without heat for a few days until a technician could be assigned to me, but the issue was resolved expeditiously and professionally when the tech finally arrived. CHW is reliable, but short on providing same-day-service for most jobs including emergencies. My sewage backed up into the basement one day, but CHW could not dispatch a tech until 3 days later. I had to call my back-up home warranty company for same-day service.

I had difficulty hearing Telephone Rep. That was taking my information. The person is not an English Speaking decent; and spoke very fast. I had to interrupt, and ask her to speak slowly, and clearly. She did took my information, and got the help I needed, but it was not a clear, easy conversation.

I had difficulty finding the phone number. The number that was given to me was bogus. I finally found the number and placed a claim for my kitchen sink. The representative was difficult to understand. I never received a copy of my warranty until today. I was not pleased. The person who signed me up gave me a number that did not work. I finally got a copy of my plan by email. I'm not sure about this company.

The technician, Alex, was courteous, helpful and efficient. We were concerned that he might not be able to move the refrigerator himself but he did and completed the repair in what seemed like record time. I would be glad to use Axis appliance repair again any time I have an issue.

Right now I say the was so far good, however my claim isn’t completely finished. The service technician that came out was on time and very nice. The only complaint that I have is the out of pocket cost of $455.00 when only the hot water tank to be replaced, no replacement of pipes, or anything because I did this 12 years ago when I had the last one installed.

Let me preface that I am a real estate professional that has dealt with home warranty companies with success. I purchased a CHW for my new home based on a discount offered through a veteran's services website. Our water heater began to leak 4 months after moving into the home. I filed a claim with CHW and there was no acknoledgent or follow up. I had to call customer service several times in which they promised to send a follow up email, never received. I logged into my profile and changed my email address in case there was an issue with delivery. I began to receive some updates but they were generic with no details.
I tracked down the company's contractor information and spoke with them directly. When the contractor assessed the leak, he agreed that the water heater needed to be replaced. He stated that I needed to follow up with CHW and ask them to expedite the claim since the leak was worsening and we would be without hot water. I contacted CHW and the rep stated they would email me documents to review and approve. I never received anything from them. I logged back into my account and found in a chat that the work had been approved by CHW and that I needed to authorize the work. When I clicked on the link, the system said the work was approved by me but there was no description of what was getting approved or any details of the scope of work.
I followed up with the contractor asking them when they would be able to replace the water heater since we were without hot water and they stated that they were waiting approval from CHW. I contacted CHW and they stated that they were waiting on paperwork from the contractor. Neither party or information system seemed to have any idea of what was occurring with the process. I contacted both for several days with the same story, each side blaming each other all while we were without hot water. Fast forward, the contractor selects a date for the installation and stated there was a $560 additional charge that needed to be paid at the time of service.
I called CHW and asked what that fee was for since my plan was 100% coverage. They stated they did not have any information and that they would call the contractor and email the documents once they figured out what the charges were for. The customer rep stated my plan should be 100% coverage. I explained the work authorization process I followed and she agreed that I should have received some additional information. Once again, no further follow up or communications from customer service. In an effort to complete the work and get hot water back, I paid the contractor and have been working on recovering the money from CHW with no success. I have contacted through the portal and customer service number with no success.
The customer service reps, while polite, are either incompetent or are unable to resolve any issues because of their system. CHW states that a representative willl follow up as the request needs to be processed up the chain but there are never any follow ups. When requests are made to speak with a supervisor, the customer rep states that they are unavaialbe and someone will follow up within 24 hours...again no response. Stay away from CHW, they and their contractors are below board, their customer service structure is non functional, and they have been the worse out of the industry to deal with. I will not recommend CHW to any future clients and I will not be renewing my contract.

There is no phone number to contact anyone to ask about appointments, the number provided in the claim does not responding. So I missed work many days waiting for the technician to come or Respond. So upsetting and unfair. If someone responds for customer like us we will be glad, with 5 different home warranty with you. So hard to get the service.

My AC & Heating System broke without repairs possibility and a AC company was called; They submitted an Estimate for a full replacement unit for $7,000 from 13,500 after negotiation and Choice will reimburse the repairs by replacement. Started claim on 2/27, still waiting for water heater to be replaced. Should be a faster process, could be almost 2 weeks! Water heater is leaking. Technician has been here to take pictures, claim has been approved, just taking too long to be replaced. I would expect replacement to be done within a weeks time, no more than that.

My claim turned out pretty good most of the time. They immediately take my claim and then tell me a timeline that it may take to get the part fixed and they keep me very informed. It may take two to three weeks based on the part I need. I've been happy with them. Right now, everything's working. The techs that came to my house were excellent. They usually respond within 24 hours but the experience has been a little difficult. I couldn't get some plumbing fixed. I had a drainage problem and they said it was an issue before I had the warranty so they won't cover it. I just let it go.

Dozer’s Appliance Service came out to check/repair my garbage disposal. The garbage disposal could not be repaired and Choice Home Warranty approved a new garbage disposal. Choice was prompt in getting back to the technician allowing him to purchase and install the new garbage disposal on the same day. Drain was fixed. I will keep an eye on the leak that caused damage to the ceiling below the shower. We weren’t sure if the issue is in the pipe or the shower needs a new seal around the edges of the inside of the shower and tile. Will monitor the situation for a few days.

The CHW sales rep I worked with was polite. He knew what he was selling and he was quick. It's never easy working with any of these home warranty companies. But Choice was a bit easier to get somebody on the phone with them than with other companies. The house we use this warranty on is a rental house and my tenant did not have anything negative to say. Everything was fixed that we have to be fixed.

The washer broke down in March 2023. They fixed it and broke down again February 2024. Had to be replaced and they only gave me $343. For a very good washer they would cost $800-1000 to replace. NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. And the same story with a fridge back in 2022, it took them TWO MONTHS to figure out it was “broken” so Thanksgiving and Christmas, full house and NO Fridge… What a nightmare

I submitted my equipment problem online. I had appointments for contractors usually within 12 hours. It takes longer to get the parts. My refrigerator was complete in 30 days. The dryer will be done within 2 weeks. I am. Very satisfied with the contractors to fix my problems. I do wish there was a faster way to complete the job. But I am satisfied with the money we are saving.

He explained the problem about my garage door (though not covered in warranty) due to added foam insulation (which in my opinion didn’t add more than 2 lbs of insulation to weight of door) but evaluation and determination of coverage was issue was not due to wear/ tear. Though this complete system is over 20 years old (can’t figure out this policy or evaluation response). But very good experience and would recommend this company.

They are excellent in so far as having quick responses to claims. However, I would have to admit that several times what was offered in response to either a repair or replacement, was inadequate to do either in a quality way that would allow for ongoing quality of a product that had failed. With the exception, that this last claim was completely covered so that the repair was paid for and allowed for the product to be returned to full functioning order.

This company is a rip off. I believed in them after they sold me and purchased warranty for my three homes. Paid for three years to get the discounted rate, well in 1 year they denied every claim I had and will not share the technician's notes with me so I don't know what was wrong with any of the claims and so I had to pay someone else to come check the problem to fix. They also have the worst technicians/vendors to deal with. They don't return calls; they don't show up sometimes so you can waste a whole day. When you try to cancel, they give you the run around and put you on hold for literally 1 hour or more and they try so hard not to let you cancel. I had to ask like 20 times. The person on the other end was giving me such stress about "I just want to cancel." I had to call like 3 times until I had to complain to BBB. Horrible experience.

The claim had processed very quickly and sent out a technician the next day. The technician identified the problem very quickly and was able to resolve our issue with our heater system. Salesman deceived and lied to me about the "Freon" coverage for A/C unit. Said it was fully covered, no cost, but I had to sign-up and pay for a Warranty Plan before he could send me the Service Contract to review, within the hour. So I paid and hours later still have received nothing. Later, found online a sample contract for CHOICE HOME WARRANTY which states clearly that Freon (refrigerant) is Not Covered. He LIED & DECEIVED me deliberately to get my money and a sales order for him. Also called another CHOICE sales rep and he told me the same Sales LIE and stated that he would quickly send me a sample Contract; but he never did send one. This company, CHOICE HOME WARRANTY, allows their reps to LIE & DECEIVE people in order to obtain sales order. I will be reporting them to my State Insurance Bureau and cancelling the Contract immediately with my credit card company.

Your sales reps fight against each other for the business. Also they say they will match coverage. At the present I have lower prices from 2 other reputable companies. Service call is in most cases $65.00 per month and monthly price is lower. While I signed for $85.00 per month yesterday, your company is now advertising $75.00 per month. Request for service was placed on Wednesday 2/28/24 afternoon. Repair was completed on Thursday 2/29/24 before 10 am. Phone scheduler was very professional in scheduling. Repair technician Sam was on time, prepared to work and carefully explained each step of the process. When the work was completed he showed me that the system functioned as intended. He also recommended future service but didn't try to push it or upsell beyond the warranted repair. Fantastic customer experience from start to finish. This was our first repair/warranty call and it was a 1000% improvement from the previous warranty company we used and Choice was less expensive. Pay less and get more, enough said!

They were professional and efficient in how quickly they were able to detect there was a problem with a switch for one of the burners on the stove. 95% of what I have submitted has been rejected. Scheduling is not ideal, you should at least give to 2 time options. So not only do I miss work and pay the service fee but then I am told my request is not covered. This is getting old. How can a non working toilet not be covered. This will be an issue at renewal time. I was told service would be good but I haven't experienced the good service.

I called over two weeks ago to have my refrigerator looked at. No one has got back with me. I’ve called three times since it’s still. I’ve not received a call back from anybody about getting my refrigerator fixed. That’s horrible. Business is probably closer to three weeks. What if it was a real emergency? Everything in my fridge I’d probably throw out. I’ve called three times with no results. That’s not how it should be. That’s just bad business.

Very puzzling experience with TB Plumbing after denied claim. Paid my $60 service fee and then after technician examined everything that needed to be done it was determined that only shower part was covered but neither sink I have two nor running toilet. TB Plumbing came back with a bill for almost $600. This caught me by surprise!

I purchased a home warranty from Choice because you advertised that you covered heating and air conditioning systems. I waited the 30 days and after my policy went into effect my HVAC system broke. Contractor came out. Did something to the tank, he said he reset the water heater, now on Sunday tenant states no hot water, then Monday they do. I still wanted the water heater looked at because if it not working in January. Now the contractor states the water heater is leaking. I feel it should have been replaced back in January, this is too short of time since the claim last month. Now my claim has been denied.
I am a long time member and have 3 homes under Choice. I wish the water heater, water tank was covered. The water heater is inside the tank. Who’s taking it apart to get to the water heater, or maybe I just don’t understand. Please advise. And the whole, I can find my own service provider, that breaks my soul and trust that Choice Home Warranty is not doing what they are supposed to be doing to uphold my trust. That hurts. I bought my home in VA back in 2016. Once the 1 year home warranty expired, I have been with Choice and Time I stated before now have 3 properties with Choice. Thank you.

The icemaker wasn't working and the technician sent to check diagnosed the problem immediately. The problem was that I had a reverse osmosis system removed and the plumber failed to reattach the icemaker to a source of water. The diagnosis was quick and I am now having to employ another plumber to reattach the water source.

Plumber was able to show me how to fix in a few minutes. Explained that not using it often, causes it to lock up. Gave me a wrench to handle it if it happened again. Would definitely recommend him to handle any plumbing needs in the future. A home warranty is great to have and leaves you feeling secure about any appliance repairs or replacements.

Had a leak, thought it was the water heater, it was the expansion tank. Ben from Around the Clock Plumbing came out on a Sunday and replaced the tank promptly. A very nice and polite young man. Just the thought that he came out on a Sunday was amazing to me. I was very pleased with Choice Home Warranty and Around the Clock Plumbing. Would recommend to a friend!!!!

Placed the order on Friday. When taking the warranty was told tech will service the claim within 24-48 hours. This time the claim was picked up after 24 hours and tech was scheduled for a date after 72 hours of picking up the job order. The lapse in assigning the technician for a plumbing work is detrimental if we are not able to use the amenities at home. Technician was good and knew his job and completed the work within the window assigned to him.

My first encounter with the other plumber you sent me was horrible. It took months to take care of the issue. I was ready to cancel my policy but your staff talked me into trying this other plumber who was wonderful. Joseph, from Flawless Sewer and Drain, was terrific. Everything was fine. I called and they scheduled an appointment immediately and the guy came and looked over the dishwasher and after he found some debris he took out debris in the spinning area in the back of dishwasher and now it seems to be working ok.

The manager was very helpful and understood my situation, which was unresolved for a year in regard to my dishwasher. She offered to have it checked and taken care so I agreed to have a third visit from a technician. I had previous visits which were never resolved and so I called to cancel my membership. She offered another visit without me paying a copay which is a great help. I don't want to pay for the third time if it is not going to work out for me, two previous visit and payment were unresolved. I will wait for the third visit hoping this will be the final solution.

Called to file a claim for pool pump repair, which took very little time. The repair man called me the next morning and came out to evaluate the pump, which was surprising because I have waited 5 or 6 days to get someone out. Determined it was the motor that was bad.

Tech who investigated failure on behalf of Choice Home Warranty was excellent. He communicated before, during, and after the visit. He felt the failure to be more normal wear and tear rather than abnormal and did not notice any signs of overheating. My opinion of Choice Home Warranty not to pay for the repair was a financial decision, not one of honoring their obligation. Was not much of a discussion in the repeal process.

On Thanksgiving Eve, I had a pipe/plumbing blockage in my home at approximately 4 pm. Dinner was being prepared for the next day. I managed to get a plumber to come before everything shut down for the holidays. We were his last call. I didn't have time to contact Choice and wait 1-2 days for an assigned vendor. I submitted my receipt for reimbursement and was denied. What else could I do?

The technician who visited to fix our clothes dryer, was professional and courteous throughout the entire interaction. While he was ultimately unable to repair the dryer on the spot due to economical reason, his approach and problem-solving skills were impressive. He thoroughly diagnosed the problem and explained the issue clearly, providing us with option for moving forward. This proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile were greatly appreciated.
While I understand that having technicians remove their shoes may not be the standard practice for your company, I would like to respectfully suggest considering a policy of either requiring them to do so or providing them with shoe covers for entering customer's homes. This would help many customers feel more comfortable and maintain the cleanliness of their residences, especially during the winter months. Overall, I would recommend [Technician's name]'s service to others based on his professionalism, problem-solving skills, and customer service. I’ve had my Home Warranty now for a while. Just made my first claim. My washing machine died, submitted my claim over the phone. I’ll let you know how my experiences after they get back to me and how long it takes.!!! I’ve heard a lot of horror stories from people that have home warranties not by Choice Home Warranty. Service on garage door was excellent. Repair guy was knowledgeable. All service details were excellent from scheduling to company assigned to do work. I will renew the contract when it is due depending on renewal pricing. It has been enjoyable working with Choice Warranty thus far. All contractors were knowledgeable except 1 thus far.

The technician that came out was very knowledgeable and was able to identify the problem and describe it for Choice to approve the fix as he's described it. He gave us a lot of good advice for future use of our sewage ejector in the basement. He arrived on time and quickly identified the issue.

Long story short- I’m leaving Choice Warranty after a display that measures of shocking length will be gone to refuse coverage. I cannot rely on Choice for explicitly what I hired them for, covering old worn down appliances. The microwave in one of my rental properties stopped functioning. After speaking with the tech, it was determined that the microwave was used with exposed metal. This is undoubtedly true, however the metal became exposed after long term *use*, something common according to tech. Despite this, Choice determine that this was not covered because the *use*, not the wear and tear. Thus, they were able to justify calling this a case of “user error” and not covering it. I have no confidence that Choice will similarly dodge coverage, and as I bought the warranty due to having older appliances, I cannot afford that risk and have changed this and two other properties to old republic.

I've had Choice for almost 2 years. Thankfully, I've never had to use them until now. My microwave shut off for no reason on a Saturday. I called that same day and my claim was not only processed promptly but, company was out on Monday and microwave fixed! I was so happy and impressed!

Great service within expected time and covered the parts and labor. I made the claim online through an automated service. A claim number was given & service was scheduled within a matter of a few minutes. I received an email with all the info I needed including the name of the service provider, their phone number, and date & time of service. Very impressive even though I did not speak with a person.

I spoke to 3 gentlemen before making my decision. The first man was short with me because I asked for a copy of the contract so that I could see the fine print and compare it to the program I currently have. He was so angry that he hung up on me. I called back and talked to another man and explained what happened. He quickly sent me a copy of the contract for my review. Then, within 30 minutes I received a call from Christian who was patient and answered all my questions. So far, besides the first person I talked to, I am completely satisfied.

The person who answered the call was somewhat abrupt, hesitated to give me his name and then transferred me before I could ask a simple question. I chose the prompt to ask a question about my policy and spoke to Eunice. Eunice was very professional and knowledgeable. She answered my question then set up a new claim for the issue I have. She is an asset to your company! The person who answered my call may need more training in customer service. Everyone is busy but abruptness equals poor customer service!

The issue the tech thought he fixed is worse. The noise the dishwasher is making has gotten so much louder that it woke everyone in the house up the first time we ran it after he left. We're concerned the motor might be failing and may cause a fire. I'm frustrated to have spent money on a repair that seems to have made things worse, not better.

I received notice that my washer issues would be covered with e cards to Lowe’s for replacement. I was happy with this outcome when I accepted. After a few days of not receiving the e mail with the e card I contacted Choice and was advised it would be arriving in the next 30 days! It is an E card! It should have been sent immediately. Thirty days without a washer is a long time. I can’t even go buy a new washer and use their money for reimbursement since it is an e card to a certain store. I am very unhappy with this timeframe and would not recommend Choice to others. Unfortunately we paid 6 years up front and still have 4 1/2 years left on it. ☹️

My 1st Choice Home Warranty Claim was filed on Saturday - I couldn’t speak with any rep as teleprompter wasn’t functional so I filed claims online for garbage disposal and separate for dishwasher - online claim was super easy and within 2 hrs I had an appointment set up for my garbage disposal repair with appmt window time -tech arrived after appmt window.

The gentleman showed up when he said he. He explained what was with my plumbing, showed a picture and fixed the problem. He was very professional, polite and courteous. He used disposable slippers so that he would not bring the outside into my house. Very pleased with his performance as a plumber for the problem that had with the water leaking from the ceiling.

Our dryer started making loud screeching sounds. I filed a claim. They immediately responded and a few days later our dryer is running like new! We have unfortunately needed to utilize our policy a number of times over the years (9 yrs now I believe)…We keep renewing…What else can I say!

I have been told that I will have to pay seven hundred dollars for technical assistance by other technicians before they can begin working on my new replacement furnace at my house in living room area. I have been lucky with the weather so far. Since this project is now in its fifth week I believe.

I called on a Sunday for information on the service and was expecting a call back on Monday. I received a call back less than an hour later. The gentleman I talked with explained the service and answered all of my questions. I was quoted a price about $10 dollars less a month than the price I saw online. Judging by my interaction setting up the service I don't expect any problems if I have to use this service in the future. The cost is less than I was expecting.

I called several times prior to this past week and I was told that the company was waiting for the technician to tell you the parts that you needed as well as the warranty on the unit. Charged for refrigerator part. Ice bin was cracked due to ice maker leak. Charge for garbage disposal that wasn’t fix by plumber technician. Told me an electrician needs to come out. Before leaving, I asked him to check the breaker switch, the disposal is working but for how long. Anyway not happy with service so far.

First off, the technician was polite but failed to take measurements once he determined that he would be requesting a replacement. So I called to make sure they understood that my space would only allow for a tall one, no more than 20 inches. Which I believe an order had already been put in for one that was bigger so they had to contact HC and put in a request for different. This would not have happened if it was done on the front end. Secondly, the guy that came and installed the water heater was very nice and got the job done. However, he said he doesn't discard the old one. Which is ridiculous. So now I'm stuck with the old water heater that I have to have hauled away.
The biggest plus to having a home warranty is to take the worry out of getting things easily fixed, taken care of. I thought part of that would be to take care of the mess and discard the broken appliance. So I'm very frustrated that discarding is on me. Lastly, the $300 fee I had to pay was ridiculous. The only replacement was the water heater. The hoses, copper hose, electrical that were in place were fine. So no new was required. So tell me why don't they assess all that on the front end and give estimate instead of me paying them $300 for nothing. I am disappointed in the overall experience. Guess I expected more.

Within 24 hours of being notified, we had an appointment scheduled with a repairman, Brian from Mr. Smith's Home Repair Service. Although we had a sink full of dirty dishes for several extra days, Brian came today, attempted repair, realized appliance (garbage disposal) was beyond repair, and replaced it. Our dishwasher is now happily working with its brand new disposal. We are completely satisfied with Choice Home Warranty's excellent service.

Notified Choice Warranty about my leaking water heater. Plumber arrived two days later, which found to be timely as it was a small leak. 30 minutes after acquainted time I called and they informed me it would be about another hour before they come arrived. When they did they were quickly, told me what the problem was, and proceeded to fix it in just a few minutes. Cost was less than an hour of using a local plumber.

Choice set an agreement with a repair service in a timely manner. The repairman notified me when he would be arriving and arrived on time. He was polite and efficient. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty circuit board needing replacement. He did tell me that further diagnosis could not occur until that board was replaced. After 3 days having heard nothing I called the repair service and was notified they had contacted CHW and informed that the usual parts company they dealt with no longer had the item in stock. They were researching other companies and the part would cost 3 times what they normally pay at $300 some dollars.
CHW sent a text saying they would replace the dryer by sending me a check for $360 dollars in the form of a Lowe's gift card. I could find no comparable dryer at Lowe's for that amount. Closest was $590. So the offer is not going to replace my dryer. If CHW has some agreement with Lowe's to replace my dryer at that cost I hope they will deal direct and get my dryer replaced. My 3 star rating is based on the repairman and the repair service. Also with CHW contacts in a timely manner. Not satisfied at the moment as I am still with the unresolved issue of Dryer replacement.

Submitting a claim is simple and easy to do. The response from Choice is swift and straightforward. The communication about the repair call is timely and clear. The claim center reps are competent and able to answer questions. They are polite and take time to explain the process. I was given the opportunity to submit my claim "on line" or through a representative. I felt like Choice valued me as a customer and was interested in fixing my problem.

My husband thought the service person was competent and did an adequate job, He did say that the problem will return because the stopped up toilet as part of a larger problem. He said he would call Choice and get back to us. We have not heard yet. We are hoping Choice doesn't say it's not their problem as they have in the past.

They advertise that when an appliance breaks or doesn’t work., you pay a small copay, then they fix the appliance or replace with the similar model. In our experience, when our appliances did not work, we did pay the small copay, but whatever was not working was an exclusion according to the contract. Horrible, Even the techs that come out initially say this is the worst company. They say if you want a home warranty to go with American Home Shield.
