So far so good. I called the 800 number to start a claim on our Samsung Refrigerator. The agent was helpful in taking my information and setting up an appointment. That is all I have to report so far. The response was fairly quick, I have received an appointment already. That would make it within forty eight hours. Like I said earlier, so far so good. We'll see how Thursday goes, after the repairman leaves.

Paid $85.00 to be told that I must contact the company still under warranty for repairs..... Glad to see customer service!! I am very disappointed after paying over $900 a year for protection to have the ball dropped in my lap..

Bertrand, the repair technician arrived early; was very professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. He replaced the bad part, reinstalled the back of the dryer and tested the dryer to ensure that it was working properly. It was a good experience all around. I would recommend Bertrand for future appliance issues.

I looked online for information on home warranties. While trying to get information on Choice I received a call from your rep. When I asked to be sent a copy of your policy and his direct call back number he became very aggressive. I hung up! After reviewing other sights, I called back. A Mr. ** answered all my questions, provided what I asked for and offered his assistance. I told him that I would review the policy and get back to him. After review I contacted him and started my warranty.

It’s taking a little bit longer to get my leaking copper pipe fixed. The customer service personnel has been great at keeping me informed of the delays and I appreciate the information. The first plumber company temporarily fixed the leaking pipe and we have water at this time. The copper pipes are all oxidized and need replacing from the ground to the water heater supply line. Hope to get it fix soon. Thanks for the updates.

Kevin was terrific, patient, competent, and a pleasure to work with you. We may need to have him come back, depending on the electric status. Microwave was working when he left. We were also very satisfied with the expedited process in Choice Home Warranty, accepting the claim, obtaining an appointment for us with the technician within a few days. So all is well. We would like to renew the home warranty for 2024-2025.

Updated on 04/17/2024: The last person to come to fix my machine was on time, professional and knowledgeable. He showed me a few tricks to get more water in the machine as well as guidance as to how to clean the drum where detergent may dry up, causing white streaks on dark clothes.
Original Review: Repairman showed up in a timely fashion. He stated when he left that the above problems were taken care of. One week later I am still getting error message UR (not in maintenance manual so I have no idea what this means). Time left changed from 22 minutes to 24 minutes. Spin only lit up at 14 minutes but did not spin.

The technician came to my home because my garbage disposal was making a loud noise…he said it had to be replaced..he had a new disposal in his truck and completed the installation in about 20 minutes…he was a gentleman and professional…I had a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend Choice Warranty.

Choice ordered the wrong parts so my approval and payment were voided and the claim went to an appeal instead of just an update I could approve. 5 days later I finally reached the rep and approved the repair for the uncovered cost. This is our second use of the coverage. The first was a washer and the replacement part sent from the warehouse was bad. I am so not impressed with this company.

Phil signed us up today for a policy. He gave us all of the information we needed and then some. He's extremely knowledgeable and gave us the best option possible. Phil will also be our point man if, at any time, we have questions regarding our policy or submitting a claim. The enrollment process was an excellent experience.

The technician was terrific. What is terrible is the low amount Choice Home Warranty offers to replace what was not repairable. 60% of what it cost to replace the appliance is totally ridiculous. I would never recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone. Complete & terrible Warranty for the home. We are alerting the company who recommended Choice to stop doing so.

Several different technicians have been to my house at different times from Down South Plumbing. All of them have been WONDERFUL. They were fast and efficient and did a great job. Very pleasant. They notified me when they are within an hour of getting to my home, and made it here when they said they would.

The technician was wonderful that came out. He was friendly, finished the job within a reasonable amount of time and did an excellent job. We were very pleased with his work and his attitude. He was very friendly, polite, and did not waste any time getting the job done right the first time! Came in to assess the job, got the tools necessary and came back in to complete it within a great time frame! He was courteous to let us know he had arrived.

I got this warranty with the sale of my condo and renewed it because I was afraid the furnace would go out. Sure enough, in the middle of Iowa winter, the compressor on the outside heat pump unit failed. Choice Home Warranty allowed me to use a heating and cooling company that I trusted, agreed with their recommendations, and reimbursed me the maximum amount of my coverage within 14 days. I am completely satisfied with the way my claim was handled and the performance of the customer service reps that I dealt with during the process.

The plumber was very nice and courteous and was very knowledge in what he was doing. He explained everything that he did and and gave me advice as to how to try not to have the problem again. He was on time and informed me of how far he was from my home.

The representative was knowledgeable and very helpful. I would recommend Choice to anyone. I have been with Choice for over four years and never had a problem getting anything fix and they are always right on time. Last year I had problems with my refrigerator and I thought I would need a new one, but Choice got my refrigerator fixed with no problems and I’m so happy that I didn’t need to purchase another refrigerator. I had problems with my garage doors and again Choice came through for me again. The only setback I have is the $85 out of pocket to pay upfront for the technician and $51.63 a month just to have the warranty. Please look at the prices for each and look at the price for military. I’m retired military and I don’t see a discount anywhere. I really would appreciate some discount if you have any for the military. Thank you so much Choice for always being there for me.

Excellent, friendly and professional service received from Jonathan of Cal-Fix Refrigeration and Appliances. He arrived at the time promised, answered all questions and resolved the issues that were reported when I sought assistance through Choice Home Warranty. Although an earlier, prompt appointment had been offered, he was accommodating to meet the scheduling needs of my tenants.

Unique Plumbing and Handyman services completed my plumbing issues with no problems in a timely manner and with extreme efficiency. He was friendly, courteous yet very professional. I had so much faith in CHW and got 2 friends to buy their warranty but after my experience I may be canceling my service as well as my 2 friends. Customers beware. They lie to you to get you to buy their warranty. I has a warranty company I used in the past and they were great but can’t remember the name. Wish I could.

My repairman was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and was proficient in repair. Thumbs up all the way! He was on time and I was first on his list. He cleaned up afterwards and was kind to my dog, who happens to be my service dog. I would recommend my service man and Choice Home Warranty to my friends and family.

Every technician that Choice has set up for me has been more respectful and honest than any other service person that I have hired directly in the past. If they can’t find someone in a reasonable amount of time they will offer a reimbursement if you want to take care of it on your own. Washer went out 3 weeks ago. Was judged to be unrepairable. Choice offered $394. We still have no washer...nor ok to purchase at Lowe's. We were under the impression items would be replaced...not offered 1/2 of cost. Very disappointing!! Going to have to re-evaluate if service is worth the cost.

I reached out for a plumbing issue. I was assigned a technician who came out yesterday. He called to confirm he was coming and his arrival time. His name is Eugene. Very polite professional. He asked how my day was going and that showed me he cared about me and my problem. Eugene diagnosed my problem, and fixed the issue. I was very pleased with him and would highly recommend him to anyone. Eugene is an exceptional business man and I respect his character!

For the most part I’m very pleased with both the ease of submitting claims and the timeliness of the service appointment. Although, one appointment had a window from 7am to 6 pm which I thought was a bit much. Luckily I was able to accommodate the lengthy window. All in all I’m pleased. Thank you.

Frustrating experience getting the appointment completed. Technician did not have a phone that would accept messages so there was no way to contact him about the assigned repair time. Then he did not show up during the window assigned. However, he had two flat tires that morning that put him behind in his schedule. He just should have called us to let us know he was running late. Once he got there, he was very nice and very thorough and did a good job. I think you should require that all of your contractors have a usable phone to communicate with the customer.

You should have the service provider qualified to do the things right very first time. I had very difficult time getting my refrigerator fixed and it is not yet even completely fixed. The service provider came to fix made even more worst than what was and had very difficult time to have him come back to finish the job. I went through very difficult and stressful situation and lost my groceries worth $300 from my refrigerator.

I made the call due to my gas oven leaking. It smelled terrible in here. The process was easy, all automated on the phone. Technician reached out immediately (within 1/2 hour) Gary was very friendly, nice and thorough. He did a fantastic job at explaining everything to me as well.

Choice was able to give us a great deal on multiple years of coverage and it turned out to be quite a bit less than the competition. It would be nice if there was no copay but that keeps people from calling for every little thing. Submitting a claim is easy. You call the 800 number and tell them you have a claim. Another option was to go online and submit it but I thought I’d talk to a person live. The technician that Choice had in this area called and scheduled the time to come by and take a look. It was for a GE refrigerator and Choice happened to send a GE technician. So, you couldn't expect more. They're better. He fixed it the first time he came. I've had other home warranty companies come out and try to fix a similar problem and it always took two to three calls to get them out. When you send the right guy, he knows how the refrigerators work.

My main Air Conditioner was not working properly in some of the hot days of last Fall. The fan was continuously running and the air conditioner wasn't cooling. At the same time, the main furnace was also experiencing a problem. The technician we've used for years diagnosed and repaired the furnace, but said we would take care of the air conditioner in the Spring. I now have Choice Warranty and decided to ask for a service call. The service person, Alex, came the very next day, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the air conditioner. He was here about an hour. The company from which he came was Quality Ambient. I could not be more pleased with this service and Choice Home Warranty.

Noticed water in front of my washing machine & called for assistance. The man who answered my call was polite & found my account without any problems. He did have a small accent & I had some difficulties understanding his questions, He was patient with me & repeated the question. I spoke with 3 different people, all were rude, pushy and arrogant. I understand wanting to make a sale but really! No customer service whatsoever. I can only assume it's the type of person that are hired. They should have more training and not be so pushy in sales. You have to listen to the customer as well as being heard yourself.

A tech come out within the prescribed time frame and thoroughly searched for a problem with pipes in my HVAC system. He showed me pictures and discussed his findings very well. Even though he didn't find the cause of the leak, which seemed minor and possibly happened long ago, he gave me suggestions as to do could be done. The service rep from the company was extremely polite.

Technician called prior to appointment window with an estimated Time of Arrival. Technician was able to identify the problem immediately and replace the igniter without sending for the part. Repair was done in one visit. Had some problem with A&E (Sears) who wasn't able to respond within 48 hours, and Solorio Heating and Air was able to give us a 48 hours' response. Love it.

We filed claim and were connected with appliance company who contacted us in timely manner. Good technician, very informative and understood problem. Technician was easy to work with and we had good results. Choice Warranty gave us the option of Lowe’s gift card for fair price which we chose to replace our microwave since repairs cost more than replacing.

This company has come thru over and over. Water leak under my slab and they were here in 3 hours to fix it. I can not thank them enough. Great job Choice. Everyone check out this company. Choice has been with me for a few years and has not failed me one time. The team they sent over went over what they had to do. Follow up was great. Even came back the next day to check out their work to make sure we were happy.

Machine was not spinning or draining. Technician informed me that the cost to fix was more than a new machine so a Lowes E- Card will be sent for replacement. I do hope it will take less than the 30 days told to arrive. Very happy with service provider. Service was provided within 24 hours of claim submission. My Dad suggested this company, so glad he did.

My claim was denied as a water leak in my faucet was due to improperly operating the faucet. This was the reason CHW provided for the claim denial. If the water did not leak I wouldn't have requested service. Service for my AC unit was also denied for also improper operating the unit. What bothers me is that the plumber told me he sees my issue with the faucet all the and it's always cover but I would be responsible for a minimal fee. Then CHW denies the claim. I don't get it. NOT happy at all.,..

We filled a claim for our whole house humidifier and surprisingly the approved it. We had a great company come out and do the initial visit. Pipeworks Plumbing Heating & Cooling fixed it. They were professional and friendly, I really liked them. Choice also replaced our hot water heater a few months ago and that company was horrible, the man was condescending and was terrible replying back to us about times and costs. He got the job done but it was a frustrating experience. I called Choice but was told he signed a contract for our job and he was the only one able to finish the job. So yes we had items replaced but so far it's been a toss up about the workers coming into your home. It did cost $460 installation plus $75 for initial visit to replace the hot water heater. The humidifier just cost the $75 initial visit, which was very nice.

The Tech fixed my refrigerator in a quick matter. Choice was very easy to work with instead of other company I was with. Took some time to get schedule fixed up to get Triple C Repair. But when I got everything worked it went quick. They had the part in truck to fix my refrigerator leak problem.

Our Tech was awesome. He was timely and kind and efficient. The warranty companies reads from a script and is not very helpful but the tech they finally assigned was wonderful. The warranty company TOOK FOREVER (4 days) to assign our case and then when they did the person they assigned it to cancelled on us. They finally reassigned us and the tech was kind and helpful. I would use this tech again. Waiting to switch warranty companies.

The technician was able to identify the cause and eliminate the noise of the inducer motor on my furnace very quickly; however, unfortunately the noise came back and I will need for him to come back and try again. I have had 3 different technicians from 2 different companies out 4 different times trying to fix this extremely loud noise with this motor. I’m hoping that the last technician, who seemed the most knowledgeable, will be able to fix it once and for all!

My representative had excellent customer communications. She explained to me all requirements of home warranty plan. It was a great offer so I agreed to buy into the plan. Also she stated if I'm not satisfied I can cancel anytime. I have heard so many good rating about the company. Also in the current future will recommend, friends and family, to join the home warranty plan.

This is one of the worst warranty scammers. They never include any details in the policy and the policy would show as "Covered". But the catch is all the details about the warranty will be explained only after declinging the claim. Secondly they process all the claims and then charge you $75 when the technician visits and then decline the claim. CSRs are a Joke. They give you false information and never get back to you. PLEASE AVOID. Luckily I cancelled it after first experience itself.

When Tech came, we determined that it needed a new door & not just opener and they gave me all particulars and pricing. It was installed the next day and works like a charm. Pricing is good and installation was perfect. I am pleased and would probably consider calling them again or referring others.

I am frustrated with the outcome that presented itself. The vendor came to fix my garage door and was waiting for Choice to give authorization, but they told him that the parts is not covered. I called Choice for verification to see why is not covered. I called and they said is not covered and not giving me no detail why? At this point I am frustrated with the whole situation. I called again and I spoke to a case worker and she said is partially covered now. This technician came to my house and is waiting for authorization. He have other customers to go to and they telling him no is not covered. Is very frustrating when someone come to your house is trying to fix your problem and they can’t. I don’t understand what’s the point on getting insurance and the parts is not covered.

I am able to place the claims successfully and got automatic emails about the technicians. For Stove top the diagnosis is wrong (spark module needs to be replaced) but after following it up with owner later he came and identified ignite needs to be repaired and finally he did it correct. Since other burners are working fine I waited for long time to resolve the issue and several calls for follow up. Kitchen sink food crusher is leaking and can't use the sink for cleaning the vegetables and utensils and really struggled to overcome the issue since need wait for four days for technician appointment. On arrival he replaced the leaking food crusher with new one immediately and finally happy.

Response from CHW was prompt. The online system is very user-friendly. I was able to submit my claim online. Communication via email was detailed and efficient. I received an email with the appointment date and time. The appointment was for the very next day. The AC tech came to my home and assessed my unit. When I called to inquire about my claim, the representative was professional.

He was very professional, assess the issue and diagnose the problem promptly. He was also very friendly. I was able to diagnose the problem it was the motor so they need to order one in he said and then said, "We will order a new one and fix asap." Later I received an email saying they would replace the dishwasher.

5 star service! Bustamente Repairman was on time and had called earlier to give me an exact arrival time. He was very polite and diagnosed the issue quickly. The tech sent was very nice however English was not his first language. I do not believe he understood the complete issue with our microwave. Because of this Choice denied my claim. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! The issue was not due to any power failure. The tech did not understand this evidently. I hope this review gets CS to contact me. They have not been attentive.

Gus with Megawatt Electric was fantastic! Very kind, professional and patient. He had to come back 3 times and finally decided the ceiling fan needed replacing. He tried a few things first but to no avail did not work. I would definitely hire him again for any electrical job I need.

I called to cancel after only two months because we were sold with a lie that whatever happened in our home would be addressed quickly and that was not true. Along with extra money that would be needed on top of our monthly fee. I was not just hung up on by the supervisor because we asked to opt out of their services but they clapped their hands while we was on the phone. This company is a joke and very very disrespectful. They tried to blame the plumber and I told them he had nothing to do with our choice of leaving them but everything to do with the lies we was told to get us to sign up. And the long process it takes to get help. We had our gas shut off because our home was filled with gas from our water tank leaking. I had a problem with my washer. Their tech come out, diagnosed the problem so they told me it would be better to replace it rather than fix it. My washer is 12 yrs old, I paid 1050.00 for it at that time. They e-mailed me and said they were going to give me a gift certificate for $343.00 what a joke. So I told them just to send me the check and I will decide what to do. I will have it repaired because it's will be much better quality than a $343.00 one and I was not impressed with the agent I spoke to. When my warranty runs out they will never hear from me again!!!! I've been a member since 07/03/2022. I have been fortunate enough to not have to follow through the claim process but once. The one time I follow through it's denied. The orbital disk that's connected to the orbital arm is plastic and is a shell where water is dispersed. After normal wear and tear, the two halves of the shell separate. Not sure why the manufacturer designed it this way, but it is flawed. Based upon your policy, when the disk separates, you do not cover this because it's considered "PHYSICAL DAMAGE". This is why I am highly disappointed with this result of this claim. Now the heating element which was also discovered to be bad, you guys are replacing at no charge. This is why I am giving you at 2 stars. But the orbital disk for this dishwasher is a known issue and should be covered. I will definitely be shopping for another home warranty company.

After filling out the claim I was contacted by CHW. They asked me a few questions concerning the leakage and assigned me a plumber within two days. I contacted the plumber and he gave me a date and time for the appointment. Upon the plumber arrival he looked at the leak, explained to me the problem, and repaired it. He did an outstanding job.

He said he would get the part and come back Thursday the following week and he left later. I got a email saying he would be here on Tuesday between 11 and three. That was the last word I had..

First off… if it wasn’t for their awesome phone communication staff… they’d be getting 1 star. When you talk to people from CHW about your claims or issues, they are very kind and professional. Never a bad experience with customer service. But that’s the only positive here. They have coverage in their contract to basically make it to where they can deny you for any claim. Be prepared to get denied or shorted for every claim you submit and then have to file an appeal to get any amount of coverage or money. Even when you think you have them by what is stated in their contract/agreement… they’ll twist those words, so that they deny you. You pay for their service monthly and then pay a service fee for technicians to come look at your problem and if they deny your claim for any reason… you don’t get that money back.
I had two claims at my house that needed fixed, they sent the same technician out for one trip. I still had to pay 2 service fees just for Choice to undercut me on one claim that I had to appeal to get more money to cover the replacement of a new dryer. The other one I got denied for and I appealed stating normal wear and tear on my ice dispenser stating they can come look at my refrigerator themselves and see there’s not even a scratch on it and since the spring on the lever of the ice maker broke, CHW doesn’t count that as wear and tear. They count that as misuse, neglect, and physical damage.
They gave me $100 towards the repair. The total repair will be $312. So I’m responsible now for $212 of a repair where I already paid $85 for a service fee. I’m basically just paying for this out of pocket, but with added stress and complications because I have to take time out of my workday to sit on the phone for 30 minutes to complain about CHW’s awful reason for denial.
If you are interested in a home warranty company… I highly recommend thinking about just putting $100 aside a month in a high yield savings account and using that as an emergency fund instead of paying for a service that burns your money in front of you and causes you added stress when they’re supposed to relieve stress and worry of home fixes. Extremely disappointed in CHW’s business tactics.

We would have had to call someone else to come because we would not have been able to wait the almost 5 days it took to get an appointment. That is my only negative about the experience. I wanted to give a five-star rating, but I can't, because no one is coming today!! I just spoke with both Michael from Customer Service, who informed me my policy expires this June 2024, that I could get a lower price if I did it right then, and that I could have service today. While on the other hand, Jane from Claims. Had me hold the line, while she checked and informed me, that my policy didn't expire until August 2024, but I had to wait 24-48 hours for service. Which annoyed me. Both Micheal and Jane were knowledgeable of their jobs. But there was a discrepancy in, when my policy exactly expires and when I'd be able to get someone to my house today. I don't know if it was to just get me to renew my policy "right then and there" for whatever price they wanted to offer me. But to not get any service with a flooding basement... Come On!!

Turns out it was that the flame sensor had gone out and that I had mice that had gotten into the attic. But I called Beutler who installed these systems when the house was built it in 2004. The first technician you were going to send was BBB accredited but I did not know I could call then direct to schedule a day I was able. Then we tried a coupe of other technicians. When I looked hem up online I did not feel good about them at all. Finally I was going out of town the next week and had to get this done, so I called Beutler. The problem got resolved. Your people on the phone were very kind and tried their best but it sounds as though their hands were somewhat tied.

More times than not, their technicians come to collect a 60.00 trip fee. The last one actually had the work approved by Choice and just didn't complete the work. I suspect they were paying him less than the trip fee. Techs look for ways- to the point of being dishonest to give reasons to avoid paying. There was a decent tech once who was honest about what was happening. I had to pay extra to get the new part I needed because Choice only wanted to cover a used part that would have compromised the efficiency of my system. Better to save the fee and build a repair account.

I called Choice on Monday, 03/11/24, and received a call from Iron Mountain Plumbers that very day. We made an appt for Wed., 03/13/24, for 1:00-4:00 PM. Then the next day I got an email stating they changed my appt to 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. I had already explained to them that I worked full time and could not leave work before noon. Our clothes dryer stopped drying clothes on a Sunday. I called Choice right away. We have had this service since June of 2023 and is the first time we have had to use. I called Choice Home Warranty for service on an ice maker. A technician came out and misdiagnosed the problem. 2 days later the entire refrigerator stopped working. I called to report the problem. I called 3 more days in a row and was told Choice Home Warranty could NOT find a company to respond to diagnose the problem. 3 weeks later, I still didn't hear about my refrigerator not working and finally filed with the better business bureau to get a refund for my home warranty policy. I can't understand how this company has gotten such a high rating. There was no reason my refrigerator should have been broken for weeks with no repair personnel being dispatched to repair it!

I have Home Choice warranty pretty long (5yrs); They process all claims quick and OK, but in latest claim on fixing my Dishwasher, they suggested to replace it (better than fixing) but instead of replacing, they send me a check valued about 30% of the market price of a new equivalent dishwasher; I told the Case Manager that I don t need money, just replacement; She said NO, no new machine (per contract - they should) and NO instalment (I have to do it myself??) and..."YOU HAVE NO CHOICE"....

Technician quickly replaced the fill valve on my toilet. Work was completed in 20 minutes including turning the water off at the outside valve, replacing the fill valve and turning the water back on. My son in love recently purchased a six-year contract with CHW, and I chose to leave my current contract with American Home Shield due to the higher cost of the service callout fee. The Wayne Dalton torquemaster torsion spring broke and the garage door no longer operated. The garage door tech reported that warranty did not cover this item and that I would need to purchase a conversion kit (standard spring assembly). Warranty stated they only cover the garage door opener and not the track (spring) assembly. I paid $85 for service visit & $530 for the tech to install spring assembly after warranty authorized me to pay the tech $641 for this job. This was confusing & it did not seem fair to me that I had to pay so much money.

The first claim had to do with dishwasher repair with incidental finds of garbage disposal. Both dishwasher and garbage are being taken care of. The repairman told them that my stove had a lock on the oven that had stopped working and the control panel needed to be replaced. Even though there was no visible damage, they said that there was physical damage, and it wasn't covered. The repairman said there was no physical damage. I filed a dispute, but it didn't do any good. I offered to send pictures, but they insisted that it would still not be covered.

A contractor (who was not listed ANYWHERE online as a reputable business) was sent to my home. Said there was no issue with my air conditioning unit of my HVAC system when there clearly is. The contractor that cleaned my vents indicated to me that additional work needed to be done on my air-conditioning unit, citing a possible leak that resulted in rusting in the bottom of the unit as well as the coils. The contractor sent by Choice Warranty told you there were no issues and anyone who looked at my system would know what he said was false. This individual is clearly out to make easy money without doing any work. He is a scammer of epic proportions.
Secondly I found him to be extremely unprofessional when he initially contacted me by not identifying himself by name or company and calling me by my first name. He ought to be removed from your rolls. He also attempted to get me to pay him in cash, which I refused, another thing that should have led me to the idea of him being as scam artist. You need to get rid of this individual NOW!!!

Our furnace has not been working for three days. I opened a claim on Mar 8 at about 8:30AM and here it is Monday Mar 11 and I still do not have a repairman scheduled. We are without heat. I called Choice Warranty yesterday and requested some priority. The agent told me that I should get an email from a repair service and the service could be done on Monday. I did NOT get any such email. I called today and got the very same runaround until the agent disconnected the call. So far, Choice Home Warranty has not helped me at all.

I’ve experienced good technicians who are knowledgeable, but sometimes fixing the problems are expensive and may not be covered by the insurance. In that case I receive a voucher for Lowe’s, for maybe 20% of the unfixable appliance and make the best of it. I would like to choose where I would like to spend my money, I’ve never really shopped at Lowe’s.

Used my own vendor of choice. They stopped the leak but a part is now needed that they are searching for. The best part is they got there in a timely manner on a Friday afternoon. Thank you! Technician was very helpful and respectful. Great Mannerism. Check all possible areas and finally concluded that it was the microwave that was bad even opened it up and said it had built up grease in the circuit board area and showed us his findings. He was a good guy to work with and now we have some new directions to get the microwave replaced.

First person came and shortly diagnosed the problem. Ordered a part. Scheduled next visit. Part arrived. Next person come and repaired oven in a very short time. They both knew what they were doing. Good service. Repair gentleman who fixed the oven had so much knowledge and experience. It was a pleasure to have him work on our appliance. Thank you.

The experience would have been excellent if not for the fact that the contractor (EMSHVAC) initially assigned the task could not be reached to confirm the appointment. The phone number when called responded with “this number is not available“. The contract was given to this contractor twice with the same results. Upon contacting Choice for the third time and requesting that a different contractor be assigned everything went great.
Afrim with Oxford Air was a true professional. He informed me when he would be arriving and I was able to reach him to confirm. When he arrived he was thorough and professional. He diagnosed the problem, informed me of what the procedure was for the repair and how and when I should expect a response from Choice. Upon approval he ordered the part, scheduled a date and time for installation. Again he arrived on time, performed the job and was very helpful in providing me with additional information concerning my unit. I would recommend his services to anyone I know. I would recommend that he be the first contact you have for HVAC services in this area.

Still waiting to hear when someone is coming to fix my oven. Oven is not working. Cannot cook in it. It’s been four days and haven’t gotten any response on when someone will be coming to repair the oven. I need my oven to be fixed by Easter so I could cook my Easter dinner.

Ace's did a very good job of making an effort to come out the same day because I couldn't get the car out of the garage because the spring was broken. Choice covered very little financially. It cost me $1250+. I had to have a new garage door opener which was not covered by the warranty.

Choice Home Warranty makes it easy to file a claim. They quickly dispatched the work, and within minutes of filing a claim a work order was assigned. We have used Choice Home warranty for over six years, and they have helped us repair several appliances. I love the quick turn around!

When my hot water heater went, I called Choice Home warranty and they assigned two anchors to do the work. They were terrific on time, honest thorough and in the end everything was perfect. I couldn’t be more pleased with the process. I would use two anchors again if I ever had any work in the plumbing area. They were great.

This is my second claim this year and I must say I am very pleased with the service. The previous contract over last 3 years I had continuous problems and delays with claims getting fixed promptly. So far on this new contract I have been very pleased with the response. The repair shop is assigned quickly and responds quickly. So far, so good. Keep up the great work.

Technician did excellent work. He replaced the heating element. His office did communicate his arrival time. Fixsmart office was to inform me when the technician was 30 minutes out. I had a medical emergency the day they were scheduled to do the repair. When I arrived home the technician left a business card in my front door. I then tried calling & texting his office with no response. Finally I called CHW about my issue & finally got the repair rescheduled.

The technician and I communicated prior to the appointment where I was able to provide details and images regarding the problem. He was able to diagnose the issue from this information. He courteously called and let me know he was running about an hour later than scheduled and showed up when he had estimated. He got to work and had my machine up and running in no time.

This claim was solved efficiently. I submitted a claim, I later received notification that a technician was located. I scheduled with that plumber but they did need to reschedule from the original date & time. I met the plumber at the house and he installed a new unit within 15-20 minutes.

I feel Choice Warranty was extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend it to my neighbors at my condo association. The electrician was very courteous and worked quickly. Communication between myself and the electrician was good and between Choice Warranty and myself was extremely good. The repair of my lighting was repaired beyond my expectations.

The technicians were polite and friendly. He called approx 45 mins before arrival. He checked the problem and did repair (1 of 2) fixtures. He check power in both outlets and tightened some wires. The tech recommended solution for other fixture... The 2nd light did come on later that day. Hopefully it will stay on. Because the fixture was part of the medicine cabinet, the whole cabinet would need to be replace because there were no market parts for our cabinet because of age.

Great technician! Got the job done in no time and was very nice. My husband spent hours trying to fix it with no luck. A wire was broken that needed the expert to find. Definitely would hire Winston Door company again. He texted regularly to let us know how far away he was away. The company also sent a picture of the technician in advance.

I was very pleased with the quick response to both my claims I filed one week apart because first my washer was leaking water and the second claim was that my dryer was not heating. Technician was very friendly and helpful and he was able to solve and repair the trouble issues on both the washer and dryer on his first visit. The warranty service was easy and professional from setting up the appointment to choosing a quality serviceman. I had a terrible experience with an AC company that come to do a “tune up” and tried to scare me into $9k worth or repairs. I called my home warranty and the serviceman solved my issue immediately. After Lonnie arrived several days after we reported the problem, he worked quickly and efficiently to replace the part. Choice NEEDS to address a problem: You immediately send an email with the date and time of the appointment. However, the company isn't in on the communication! When I contacted them as to confirm the appointment, they said you hadn't verified the time with THEM, and that they had not yet set any appointment! This is the third time that's happened. I notified you of the original problem, and it took 4 1/2 days for them to come.

The technician attempted several ways to clear the stoppage under my kitchen sink. He continued to work at fixing the problem even when it appeared that he was going to be unable to clear the stoppage. That persistence eventually solved the problem and eliminated the need to cut open flooring and pipes.

Our AC went out after starting a policy and having a little over a month and our claim to have it fixed was denied. The email I received said because the failure is due to normal wear and tear “over time.” Most wear and tear doesn’t happen overnight, it’s an older unit which is why we felt we needed a warranty to be protected. Unfortunately we had to use it sooner than we expected and now they won’t cover.

The technician, Steve **, provided excellent service. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. He had experience dealing with our appliance and was quickly able to diagnose the problem. This was my first time submitting a claim to Choice Warranty and I’m impressed with the ease of the process. DeLords Inc. arrived on time for our appointment this morning. The Technician was very personable, and friendly. He listened very carefully to my issues with the garbage disposal and plumbing. He fixed all of my issues and verified with me that I was satisfied with his work, illustrating that customer satisfaction is very important. I especially appreciated him taking the time to explain how to properly care for my garbage disposal on a daily basis to prevent buildup of sediment and food inside of the disposal. I am very satisfied with the work done and quality of the service provider.

Very fast service! My dryer stopped working on 2/5 so I called the Choice Home Warranty to file a claim. The repair technician came on 2/6 to check what was the problem. The parts of the dryer were broken and needed to be replaced. On 2/8, the repair technician came with the part and got it repaired on 2/8. The technician is very friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed the dryer in no time at all. Great service and I'll would highly recommend the company and the Choice Home Warranty!

They are always prompt with responding to my problems, the companies they use are respectful, on point, and get the work done as quickly as they can get the parts. We have had a few unexpected issues arise in our newly-purchased home. Choice Home Warranty has been very responsive and helpful each time we have made a claim. We are also pleasantly surprised at how broad the coverage is, from re-keying to furnace repairs to the HVAC system to appliances to plumbing, it’s all covered.

Worst company ever. I would give zero stars if I could. They have no urgency to fix any issues. I paid for 5 years in advance. I had a leak in the ceiling of my basement. They didn't care about the damage and inconvenience it was causing. It took a month for their contracted technician to fail to follow through with the work so I had to find my own and try reimbursement. Of course they made everything difficult along the way and tried everything to deny my reimbursement. I had to threaten a complaint with the BBB and speak to their customer advocacy department just to get a reimbursement for the work that was done, that they agreed to. They also completely denied my claim for the drywall repair caused by the leak and parts that had to be removed for the pipe leak to be fixed.
I cancelled the policy and they took all the funds paid to me out of the prorated amount due back to me. They said this was part of the agreement. Another loophole they were able to find. So I basically paid all the repairs myself. I wish I would have never gotten involved with this company. It would have saved me time, money and energy. They provide misinformation and will find every loophole to deny coverage and payment. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It is not worth it.

If you need a rating, don't you think it would be best if you fix it first. The furnace that needs to be fixed is still not running, it would help me determine if Choice is in need of a high or low marks for their work once the work is complete.

Kurt was very helpful as we transition from another company to Choice Home Warranty. Kurt gave us the quote for our property in Gulfport Mississippi and the options for military or VIP package. He advised me of the effective date that the plan begins (8 April). Kurt and I discussed many options and the incentives if I add our home that we reside in and information for future plans.

I am cancelling my service with you. You denied my claim for Samsung 3 door fridge ice maker that quit making ice. The service tech was very thorough and reported the ice maker could not be repaired and ordered a new one. You denied the claim. We thought when we bought this service that this was what it was for, to help with repairs and/or replacement for faulty items in our home. I was wrong.

However he did make it work, but HE said there is one thing we shouldn't use but we could dry clothes in the normal manner, HOWEVER, AFTER HE LEFT, IT run a little bit and then it shut down. I had a plumbing stoppage that was on my top tub upstairs where they weren't draining. I have two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs. Everything else was draining. I called Choice and I did a claim and they had a plumber come out. First thing about this plumber was that I had to contact him because they put me out for about six days. I've been without plumbing now for a month in the tub. It's extremely alarming. The plumber told Choice that I didn't have a ground cleanout so he couldn't do the job.
Choice told me, “You can contact him and see if he can do something better.” So, I contacted the tech and he said, “Oh, well, I could come out. Give me a couple of minutes.” He told that he would call me before he came out. I told him that it was fine with me and that I was on my way home. When he called me, he was in my house with my 15-year-old daughter. He said, “Yeah. Well, I’m gonna put in the stuff. All you got to do is call to Choice and see if they’re gonna approve it.” So, I called Choice and they said that the tech said that I needed a ground cleanout. I told them that I have a ground cleanout. But they closed my claim. Every house has a ground cleanout. You can't even have a house in New Orleans without one. So it didn't make any sense to me.
They said they had to put in an appeal for the claim and then the rep asked me to take pictures of the ground cleanout. I put in pictures of the ground cleanout and after I sent them the pictures, even though it's clear pictures, they said that the contractor said that they didn't. So they were gonna have to send him back out there. I asked if I could get somebody else out here because this was the same person that said I didn't have a ground cleanout. He didn't want to do the job and got my account closed. I can't afford to have my thing closed. I'm without plumbing and I'm taking a bath in my mom’s house. I have five kids in the house and the amount of pissed off is really high.
Choice told me that I had to get a second opinion. I had to pay another plumber to come out and get a second opinion on my own dime. They wouldn't change the plumber and they said, “If he said that that would do it, then the other plumber gonna come back out and do it.” I have a plumber coming today to fix it. If he fixes it, then I'm gonna cancel the service with Choice because it’s not worth it at that time.
The other thing that I don't like is that when I was forwarded to the claims department, they told me that I had a claims manager. But I never talked to that person. They said I was setting up an appointment to talk to the claims manager. But I still haven't heard back from that claims manager. I’ve talked to everybody else except the claim manager. The amount of service that I'm getting is terrible. As a company, I wouldn't even assume that they would even accept this type of customer service.

It was easy to sign up with Choice. The gentleman that I dealt with was very nice and professional. The price was presentable. It was really good. It was less than the previous company that we had. We got the 13th month free. So it was super attractive.

I sent Choice Home Warranty my information and asked them to give me a quote. I also asked for a quote from a couple of other providers. Choice Home Warranty came up as offering more. For the standard plan, they got more included than the other two providers did. I went ahead for the high plan and added a few things to it. That still came out cheaper than the others.

I signed up with Choice and I was disappointed because they covered me for roof coverage, and unfortunately, I had some leak from the roof and they turned around and said that they cover only shingles and they don't cover tile roof. I told them that the guy who sold me the policy never told me whether they cover tile roof or not. They kept on charging me for no reason. They should have been upfront saying that, ‘What kind of roof do you have, sir?’ If I told him tile roof, then he should have told me that, ‘We don't cover tile roof.’ So the rep did not tell me the truth.

My experience with Choice has not been great and I’m now looking into switching to another company. I had a very small issue with a garbage disposal. The thing that sits in your sink in the kitchen broke the other day. I filed the complaint, and then it took about five days for somebody to come and even see it. The sink was not working for five days. When the contractor came out, I told them to make sure they got a matching one like what I had in place. I had an InSinkErator one, which I checked online and it was about $300. But they got me the $60 garbage disposal machine from Home Depot. It was the cheapest one they could find at Home Depot and they told me that that was all they could get me. They can't get me the one I had or anything comparable to it. They said it does the same job and that's all that Choice would pay them for.
I called the Helpline at that time, and that person was not able to help me out in any way. He said, “You’ll have to re-file the whole thing. And our auditors or those evaluators will go through what is needed. And they may, they may not approve it.” I told them that it was already five days and I couldn't wait another five days. So, I ended up just getting it replaced with what they had. But that thing is just so obnoxious. When you switch on the garbage disposal, it makes such a loud thud noise. Initially, we were getting scared to even switch it on. I called back Choice saying, “Hey, thing, it's working, but it's like making this loud noise whenever I switch it on.” They said that they would file a new complaint. Then a few days later, I got a message saying that the guys who were supposed to come back and see this device said it was probably a filing error and everything was okay, and they never showed up. So, then I didn't bother.
