Great services... Responsive, but wish we had been able to confirm service appt sooner. Glad it wasn't an urgent request because the appointment was scheduled almost a week after my call. If it had been urgent, I would have hoped to get an appointment within 2-3 days. This was my first service call with CHW. Professional when service was performed.

He was prompt, polite and knowledgeable. Great experience. It was an easy fix and I would have him again if anything else goes wrong. There have been another company that came once to replace an outdoor fan that was terrible. Glad they aren’t using them anymore. But this experience was very much to my liking. Thanks again for coming to my aid so fast.

Dealing with Joseph ** was one of the worst experiences I’ve had dealing with a service provider. From the beginning of the conversation, in my opinion, his responses were as if I was irritating him. I hung up on the conversation because I wasn’t pleased. Mr. ** called back, apologized and asked to continue. Throughout the conversation, he was very aggressive, not talking no for an answer. I DON’T APPRECIATE THAT! After that terrible experience, I still purchased 2 home warranties. Not because of Mr. **’s poor customer service, but because CHOICE is considered to be the best for home warranty service. I’m still processing whether to terminate my contract because of this interaction. Thank you.

Came home from doctor's appointment our a/c had stopped cooling. Filled out a issue report on Choice's website. Got a answer back in a hour that a repairman would be here the next afternoon. A/c tech showed up on time, had my a/c going in no time. He actually fixed it, not wanted to replace it like most.

My issue was never resolved. My hot water heater went out. They sent a company over that does not believe in communication. Appointments were set. No technician was showed up. Received little to no guidance from Choice Home Warranty. Ended up paying out-of-pocket for another company to get my issue fixed. Company is only as good as the people employees and the contract company SOS in Chattanooga Tennessee was horrible which unfortunately is a direct reflection of choice home warranty as that is who they choose to partner with.

Very professional and prompt. Jose came one day earlier than our appointment time because of a cancellation in his schedule. Jose had the parts on hand and completed the repair on the spot. I highly recommend his company. Jose looked the part as he and his helper looked and acted in a very business like manner.

Good technician. Horrible warranty service. My dishwasher control board went bad. Choice said "Great news. We're going to replace your dishwasher." Right. They paid me only a fraction of what a new low end dishwasher costs.

My claim was handled quickly and efficiently. I was very pleased with their claim system, I had an appointment with a contractor within a few minutes. The contractor was professional and quickly identified the issue I was having with the HVAC system in my home. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty; you will not be disappointed.

Updated on 4/13/2024: The ongoing problem was a tub/shower faucet that was stuck in the off position and could not be turned on. The plumber's arrival was timely, he was able to fix the faucet, and he explained to us in detail what had caused the issue and how he fixed it. We are very happy with his service!
Original review: The automatic registration did not understand my problem. I repeated the issue numerous times and finally got a call back from a live person. The issue was no water from my bathtub faucet. My choices were no hot or no cold water. I had no water at all which was not understood.

Technician worked very rapidly to fix my dryer and very pleasant person. However I have to have someone come to clean out the vent that goes out the roof of the house before using my dryer. I guess that is not included in the repair??. That should be included in the repair since we are not able to do that.

The techs were very good, friendly and knowledgeable. They willingly answered questions. They explained the procedures to expect following their visit. They were careful of the kitchen while they worked and did not create any mess. We would be happy to have them do work at our house again. They were very professional.

My garage door not open and I have a tech from Choice Warranty came out. It took 10 minutes for him to fix it. He told me that garage not done right and need panel replace or the whole thing replace from 1000-2500. I said no. Today I hired different garage company. He came in just gave me a tune up and balance my door costed me only 90. (He said nothing wrong with my garage...) I confused why choice warranty company pick unhonest contractors and send them to their customer. The time frame these contractors was horrible. They gave you 5hrs waiting for them come and you can't go anywhere do anything else. I don't know when in emergency situations how long they will come to fix our problems?

Received call on time as scheduled and the representative was really good with communication and explained the next steps and that Choice Home Warranty will be initiating the diagnosis provided earlier to get the new out of pocket charges to be approved. I will be looking forward to getting this issue resolved soon. Wish to have a followup call to get this sorted.

Buying a house can be nerve-wracking. There's so much to take into consideration and it's overwhelming. However, someone has been there to walk me through every step and has streamlined the process flawlessly. I am so grateful for the team I was provided. They chatted naturally with me and made me at ease while giving all of the information. They made sure to pause when I had questions and also had answers to questions I didn't even consider. REVIEW CHOICE CONTRACT... SECTION K.. [“Replace” or “Replacement” of a Covered Item means for ... washer ..., We are responsible only for replacement equipment of similar features, capacity, and efficiency ... ] Without my GE WASHER, starting in Oct. 2023, two months of exchanges of phone calls. In January, CHOICE sent an e-mail with an attached LOWE'S E-gift card, $343, to buy a new washer. I called CHOICE who stated that I accepted this settlement when I opened the email. More phone calls and email to them. CHOICE said I never called to dispute the amount less than replacement cost of washer, $518.86 (not including taxes and delivery set up). [Note: April 2024, this claim not resolved.]

My Garbage disposer quit working. I called and was offered appoint next day. Unfortunately, I had a Dr.'s appointment then. But was offered another 2 days out. George from Alpha Plumbing showed up in the stated time frame, and had it replaced in no time! He was pleasant and knowledgeable. He made sure to show me that the new unit was the same horsepower as the one that was taken out.

I feel Choice should have allowed me the same amount of money it would cost me to replace my washing machine with the same brand (GE). Instead, they gave me an allotment to replace my machine with some random brand (Insignia)--the brand name of Best Buys. Insignia washers cannot be compared to GE. So, they only allowed me enough money to replace my washer with the cheapest brand that exists. Even if it offered the same features it is not of equal quality and I find that unacceptable & a poor business practice. I should have received enough money to buy the same model GE washing machine as was broken beyond repair.

He was on time. Seem to be very Knowledgeable, and polite. Came back to my home to complete the job in a reasonable amount of time. He also gave me very good information on how to save on electricity cost and pointers on keeping my home safe. I would definitley recommend him as a electrician.

If you live in a rural area do not use Choice Home Warranty. Unfortunately, I have had three claims in over 2 years. 1) Water leak under my mobile home - took two months for a technician and then technician refused to go under home to repair. We paid ourselves. 2) Ice Maker went out on Refrigerator, took over 40 days for technician.

I was pleased with the service I received. I was not happy over the service fee NOT being part of the down payment for services. Choice only covered half of the repairs, so I had to pay the other half AND a service fee that was on top of what I had to pay. Not happy with that!!

The technician was on time and extremely knowledgeable. He accurately diagnosed the problem, replaced a part, and explained why the broken part caused the dryer to fail. I could not have asked for better service! This was my second experience with Choice and the second time I can rate their service EXcellent.

Using Choice Home Warranty for the past year and a half has given me peace of mind when covered items break down. I've had a few appliances break down during that time and each time, Choice Home Warranty has come through, quick and easy, to repair and if not feasible, will replace the appliances with a new one (of course, the current value of your old appliances to be business fair). I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty for your warranty needs!

Choice process was easy to submit; not so easy to work with if you want to talk to a real person. Their call center is not 24/7, they don't answer calls over weekends, when I did get a real person to talk to they were not very helpful and obviously working from a foreign call center. Tech they sent out was excellent and job was completed and done well.

Our ice maker in our refrigerator broke, so we called Choice Home Warranty. Our technician arrived two hours early (probably would be best if he called first), but he was fast, efficient, and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the fix, and gave us a timetable for when it would be completed. We are happy so far with their service.

I had the most horrible experience! My tech was great--needed help with the phone app a lot but knew about my machine. I was 6 years old, used by me--a 72 year old widow without a lot of laundry or big loads. My machine quit spinning last week while washing a load of delicates! The way it jammed apparently indicated the machine was overloaded!! The customer service person at Choice asked the tech if it looked like it was overloaded and he said NO! After the call, he felt that Choice would offer me a buy out since the repair was more than they wanted to cover. I got an email stating that I had overused my machine and abused it and they would not cover it!!! I have now heard horror stories about Choice doing this to people.

Jose was on time, very courteous and professional. He checked the dryer settings and the vent for any possible blockage. As it turned out, the dryer worked just fine when he checked it so no repairs were needed. He could not explain why it wouldn't heat when I used it prior to his visit. He must have had a magical touch.

Updated on 05/24/2024: The technician kept his appointment and was in and out in under 10 minutes to fix an issue with the dryer. While the fix was fortunately easy, it was something that I would not have known about (a loose wire for the dryer door). He was professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend his company for future work in the Fort Collins area.
Original: I placed a claim this morning around 8a. Apparently an appointment was scheduled from 8a - 5p, but I didn't get an email until Noon. I didn't see this appointment until 1p (after my scheduled lunch) and the folks came and went by 12:30p. There was not enough notice nor anytime for me to make work arrangements or get home to be there. I called A&E services (as the Choice Warranty recommended) and the automated phone message told me to reschedule online. I had to use a digital chatbot that wasn't helpful to me.
I called Sears Home Services directly and scheduled a new appointment, but it is now over 2 weeks away. I don't understand how it went from same day (with a lack of notice) to over 2 weeks away. To me this doesn't make sense. So now I'm stuck for a couple of weeks without a dryer. I could have had a repaired dryer today, if I had known about the appointment more than 30 minutes in advance. In addition to the deductible fee, I will also be paying for dryers at laundry facilities for over 2 weeks. Finally, when I made the claim this morning,

Last November I put in a claim on my infloor cleaning system on my pool, after being denied I talked to a second level advisor who said the infloor system is not covered under my plan. I managed to repair the system myself after talking to Jandy as even my regular pool guy couldn't figure it out. There was no mention that the denied claim would be held against me.
After 2 years of being a client, this past week I signed up for 3 more years of Choice coverage, and even added my salt system. My pool pump seal started leaking so I put in a claim, paid the contractor $75 however the claim was again denied. I was told that I needed to send in a receipt from a certified tradesman for the infloor system repair. I have part receipts but I didnt pay anyone labor to repair the infloor system. After numerous attempts to explain to first level and second level that the pump and the infloor system are two complete different parts I was told that nothing in my pool is covered anymore because of my denied claim. Very disappointed and frustrated with Choice Home Warranty.

I bought home warranties - never using much in the past - but given current appliance/work prices and age of the home, I decided to purchase home warranty - and unfortunately for them but fortunately for me, I've had to use their services quite a lot lately. They are prompt and keep me updated. Their booking system is not particularly good &/or accurate so call the company directly. Also, replacement cost is not good so hope for repair capacity.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! After getting the runaround for 3 weeks - Choice Home Warranty opted to replace my washing machine. The amount they offered of $547 would not buy even the most basic of units anywhere on the market. The case manager stated the offer cannot be changed and is based on "THEIR PRICING THEY COULD OBTAIN" - not what we would pay on the fair market. They would not share the specific criteria used to determine the value of my unit, only vague statements. To replace what we currently own, the cost is almost double their offer. Their offer is in the form of a Lowe's or Home Depot card. If you can't get your replacement unit there, they will send a check to you in the next 30 business days. Buyer beware!

We submitted our claim on-line and received an immediate response from Choice telling us that we would receive a response from the assigned contractor within 24 hours. We received the contractor's information immediately after we received the notice from Choice Warranty. The email gave us the name of the company, date and time they could come for our repair; BUT, we were instructed to call if we wanted to adjust the day. Since it was a Saturday when we placed our request for help, we waited until Monday morning to contact the repair company. They were professional, and very helpful. They were able to come that day and our repair was done immediately.

First of all, I would like to say I have been with CHOICE HOME WARRANTY for several years. Each time I file a claim there’s an issue to where I have to pay a lot of money to have the service completed. I’ve talked to several people there. My last conversation was with Sarah, a resolution manager. I discussed with her that I was not happy with the amount of money that I had to pay even though I’m paying monthly and considering going in and canceling the policy. She took it upon herself to cancel it without my authorization because I said I would cancel it. I will be filing a claim with the BBB regarding this and each issue that I’ve have had each time I filed a claim with your company. Becoming the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with!!!!

Had a water disaster from a fridge. No payment for the valves under the sink and not enough money for replacing the fridge. Had to get emergency service for the valves so I could turn on the water so I could use the toilet and shower. I have no more to say, just disappointed with the service so far.

My realtor should have been kicked in the mouth for trying to recommend this company. Waited 3 weeks for a repair for my pool and this was due to them "trying" to find someone. I live in Florida and every other house has a pool and you can throw a rock and find a pool repair company. How about investing in your relationships with local businesses and get them to work with CHW. The tech that did come out was not able to fix the problem but he tried everything he knew to do and I truly appreciated his work and effort. Tech support through the pool manufacturer helped me to diagnose and repair. Do yourself a favor and never, ever, ever sign up or pay anything with CHW. Pay out of your pocket or hire your own person.

The plumber came out and took the faucet apart and looked under the sink. Told us that he thinks the problem could be in the faucet. I do not believe he replaced the corroded pipe under the sink. I wish he would of left some paperwork behind telling me what he actually did because our water pressure is still low at the kitchen sink.

I would not recommend Choice Warranty. I have had several issues that either were not covered by your policy or the technician sent by your company which cost 75.00 each time, were wrong on their diagnosis or repaired the item the cheapest way possible. Very disappointed. Furthermore, I constantly receive emails from Choice to purchase your insurance. This must discontinue.

He was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. The window of his arrival was 8 am to 5 pm and he arrived very promptly at 8:30, which allowed me time to do what I had to do for the day. He got straight to the point and told me exactly what the issues were with my machine. He did a great job.

Choice scheduled garage door opener repair for a week out. I called technician, Ariel **, and he rescheduled for same-day service. He understood that the garage door wouldn't open, my car was stuck inside the garage, and that I couldn't get out until the door was fixed! He came quickly and repaired the door opener competently and efficiently. Very happy with this service!

Unlike the bad experience in January, this was far more pleasant than being declared ineligible for coverage just two months ago when our washer and dryer wore out after more than 23 years of service. This time, though we had to wait one week for the fridge repair, the technician arrived on time, completed the work in 90 minutes and now our appliance is cooling and freezing our food supply.

Really good. Great customer service. Easy to fill out a claim and fast service to get a contractors. Have had zero issues with their services. Will definitely resign with them when this contract ends. I do wish that the contractors picked would be better though. The one that came out for our washing machine have yet to return to fix our issue.

Choice had a technician here the next day after my claim. Also communicated with me the next morning letting me know a technician would be out later that day. Very efficient and seemed to fix everything but now after heat is working we don’t have air so I have requested a service call. I would recommend Choice and CC & Sons.

I called a filed a claim on my oven. Spoke to Amanda who was very courteous and he wrote up my claim and told me he would send it to someone and I would be contacted. I received an email telling me an appointment time. Representative was very knowledgeable and was also very helpful. He wished me a pleasant day at end of claim.

Although I just signed up for a policy, I can say at this time I found Lorenzo to be helpful with answering my questions and patiently explaining some of the coverage I did not quite understand. This policy, to me, appears much better than that offered by others to include greater coverage areas.

Spoke with Aaron. VERY high pressure. Wanted quote only and he was high pressure and fast talking and impossible to talk without him interrupting. Before I realized it, he debit my account for $2640. Now it will not be reversed for two or three days. I no longer wish to have anything to do with Choice Home Warranty.

I am a new client, I tried to communicate with you 4 times, I asked to speak to someone in Spanish, but every time they transferred the call it dropped. I even let the person know that the system was failing. If this is how things start, I think I will look for another service option where I can get help.

The tech was on time and had the right parts to repair our Maytag dryer. It turned out that the dryer had the bearings go out which was the cause of the horrible grinding noises. The dryer is now back to quietly drying clothes in record time; just like it used to.

We purchased Choice Home Warranty to protect our home appliances air conditioning water heater etc… We have had the warranty for about a year. We had problems with our 2 year old Samsung washer. It would vibrate on the spin cycle and go into a shut down. Called CHW and had the technician scheduled to come out in 4 days. The repair man came to the house, was here for 5 minutes and put a call in to CWH. Waited for them to call back, he told me if they didn’t call back within 5 minutes he would have to leave for his next call (are appointments scheduled for 5 minutes?) and CHW called before the tech had to leave thank goodness. He then told me good news. "They are going to replace your washer."
They stated we will receive our e-Lowe’s coupons within 30 days. It would be nice if the funds could come a little quicker as my wife and I are in our late 60 and we had to go to the laundromat to do our laundry which cost us time and money. We have not had to do go to a laundromat in many years. They did cover about 1/2 the cost to replace the washer. It took several phone calls for me to get approved to receive our e-coupons that can only be used at Lowe’s. If you want further details call me at **. Thank You David **

The two guys that showed up to work on our plumbing were amazing. Matt and his co-worker were friendly and professional. They did an excellent job fixing our faucet leaks. They took their time and evaluated the problem. The leaks were fixed un no time. They even had to make a run to Home Depot for a part. Great Servicemen.

When I bought my first house 4 years ago, I was so worried that I wouldn't know what to do when things stopped working. My worries went away as soon as I got Choice Home Warranty. Now when something goes wrong, I put in a claim online and an experienced, vetted technician is at my house to fix things, usually the very next day! Plumber was good and installed the disposal in about 45 minutes. However, our old disposal was a 1/2HP and was replaced with a 1/3 HP unit. My old disposal was about 15 years old while the new unit has a 1 year warranty. I should mention that my scheduled appointment was for 11am to 3pm. The plumber arrived at 7:45am. I received no call that the appointment time had been changed. If I was not home at 7:45am, I wonder what would have happened. Anyway, the disposal was replaced the day after I called. It works and does not leak. Next time I use the home warranty service I will know to ask a few more questions.

The technician himself was awesome, but there was no need for him to come out. You should know that a dryer that still has heat needs the duct cleaned, so the technician who came out was the wrong one. If you offer the option (dryer does not dry hot), then you should send the right person out for that job.

Veronica called me today about Choice Home Warranty. It just so happened that I had been researching Choice for the last hour as my present home warranty company was a nightmare. As a Realtor dealing with home warranty companies on a frequent basis, I appreciated her knowledge, efficiency, and friendly demeanor. I wish I had her on my sales staff here in Phoenix.

Repair facility came out in a timely manner and described the problem. They got with Choice Home warranty and a solution was put in place right away. Great service all around, I would recommend choice home warranty to anyone who’s looking for this type of service. Putting an order for service is very easy and the turnaround for getting a company to come out and find out what the problem was even easier.

Everything's been awful. When I make a claim, it's online and it's usually fine. The process that I have a problem with is finding people who will come out and do the repairs. I've had people cancel on me at the last minute because Choice does not pay them. I've had one time when nobody showed up and I've had people cancel the day before. It's a big pain in the butt for me because I have to take time off of work to meet these workers to come to my house.
Also, there was a contractor that came out for my dishwasher and they misdiagnosed it. They spent all this time on parts and repairs and they spent more than allotted. Then Choice said they would give me $240 for my dishwasher, which they based on what it was worth. Where in the world can you get a dishwasher and install it for $240? Nowhere. I'm so disappointed with the way it was handled. I was kind of hoping that it would be repaired or replaced within the guidelines of the contract. Instead, I got $240 which got me nothing, minus the $75 that it cost me to have the company come out in the first place. I would love for somebody to call me back. I talked to a claims representative and she was awful. She was argumentative and so not helpful.

Choice Warranty does not guarantee their warranties. I have been a customer for over 4 years and now they have changed some parts of their warranties and don't cover or will not reimburse the customers on what's no longer covered. Bad business and I won't renew my contract with Choice Warranty again.

Our tech was very friendly and quick. He went out of his way to make sure we didn't go without water over the weekend. He is very knowledgeable and explained the process and what he was doing. I would recommend him for future projects. 5 stars in my book. Great job!!!

Konstantin was flexible when trying to find a time that worked for my schedule. Upon arrival, he quickly diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator and after fixing it, he spent a lot of time fixing my ice maker, as well. He was very professional and friendly and I intend to recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

We filed a request with Choice Home Warranty to check our Sub Zero freezer. A repair company was assigned, but then we were told they didn’t work on Sub-zeros just before the scheduled arrival time. We were then reassigned a repair company more than a week later! That company did a great job. Our concern is with the delay in service.

The response from Choice was prompt when we made a claim on our dishwasher. They assigned a technician within a couple of days. I cannot recall the name of the company. We were assigned a window between 11 and 3. The Technician Jeremy who was assigned arrived in time, worked diligently to fix the problem. We were very happy with him and Choice.

When dealing with a stressful home appliance situation you need to know that the home warranty company will be there to provide the service you need. The service we received was fast, professional and friendly. Our AC was fixed by Shacks Services, we always recommend Choice Home Warranty to everyone. Ray’s Contracting Services, Installer was efficient and effectively replaced our disposal. We felt very comfortable with him and his service and would Like to use him whenever I need service for any and all household items. Covered under said warranty. He shared several great tips on appliances and operating household equipment to ensure long life of said equipment.

Pleasant young man. Did his work efficiently and effectively. Was on time. The time to get service was reasonable. The leak was addressed and tried the a/c to see if it drained correctly. I was told it did. This was our first claim and I was very pleased overall. Was surprised with how quickly I got service. I was asked if I had more than one a/c which I do have. I’m sure that was to assess how quickly the repair could be done.

I called in a service request and got immediate response from the automated system. It only took a couple of minutes to get the service request logged and a claim number assigned. I’m very please with the service so far. I got an email confirming the request within a few minutes after the call.

Pool tech was amazing, prompt and honest. Also fair in price outside of warranty. Unfortunately Choice didn't warranty a worn out part deeming it's not wear and tear, which makes no sense since it's non-functional due to a worn out part. Will be discontinuing my plan to move on to a better company. Pool tech stated that he's had this issue many times with Choice and gave me better recommendations of a home warranty.

On time and problem was fixed. Tested other parts to make sure there was no problem. Very friendly and I was very pleased. Left phone numbers if I had any other problems. Explain what could have happen and explain what he was going to do to fix the problem. I would highly recommend. Very professional, called to let me know how far he was before arriving.

The evaluation and explanation of benefits for our recent claim still make no sense. I simply asked how the final value of replacement was determined and received two vague responses. “We have an internal formula” and “you contract is the number.” I realize this is not the representative’s fault, but the system does not provide enough money to replace the broken item even though the contract says it is a covered item. I guess we have different definitions of “covered.” I am not happy and will not recommend Choice. That said the representative was very nice as she was bound by a flawed system and leading language.

I found that it is a reasonably priced service that provides peace of mind when it comes to keeping my home up and running. I know that any appliance or system will be repaired quickly by excellent service technicians.

I became a Choice Warranty member on February's 5th 2024 and on March 6 2024 it was my first claim to choice warranty. My hot water heater in my guest house went out. Now I have my hot water heater inspected least three times a year and draining flush so I made my claim to choice. A plumber came out the next day, inspected my hot water heater and said it was bad. He took down the part number and turned it in to choice. He called me back about an hour and a half later and told me choice had denied my claim. I called choice and they told me it was a pre condition that's why they could not fix my hot water heater but My 30 days grace period or waiting time was over the day before. I did not anticipate my hot water heater going out and I had just changed over the choice.
They told me on February 5th after 30 days if anything goes wrong in my house they was going to cover it. This was not the case. They told me I have to appeal the decision and I had to wait another day but by the way water was leaking all over the back of my guest house I had to turn the water off and I had guest so I talked to the representative of my appeal and I didn't even get what was going on out my mouth and he told me in no way are they going to pay for my hot water heater. Since I was new to choice they offered me one month free and $200 towards the replacement of the hot water heater. I paid for a hot water heater and I let the plumber remove and replace the shut off Valve. It took me two days and $800 later I'm very disappointed in choice.
I would never recommend you to my worst enemy and never to my friends. You are the worst home warranty company I have ever dealt with I filed a claim on the 30th for my pool filter. By the way you told me my filter was covered when I bought his warranty, even asked did you cover cartridge filters and I was told yes. Long story short I was told no give me one month free and a service fee call. You have not yet stood by your contract, your word or by me as your customer. You should be ashamed and not be in business to rip people off. You have ripped me off. You have cost me over $1,400 in home repairs when I thought I was covered by my home warranty. I'm only sticking with you because I have no choice but as soon as I find a new home warranty company you are going to get fired as Donald Trump would say.
So if you're thinking about getting choice home warranty do not do it. Go to somebody else. These people are crooks. They have no intention on standing by their warranty only giving you excuses why they can't take care of you and giving you half-** credits as they should be taking care of whatever went wrong with your home. My review is horrible. Do not spend your money and waste your time because this company would make you so sorry that you ever choose them for home warranty. They have not taken care of me and all they did was give me stress and stress me out and took my money and made me spend money that I shouldn't have to spend.
I'm so sorry that I ever switched over to choice. Don't. Do not do it. Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. Take my advice. You're better off going to first America home warranty. That was my old homework company. I have one complaint I blew up fired them. I was there for 7 years and only have one claim denied. I've been with choice right at 2 months and had two claims denied, verbally lied to several times, told sorry that I feel that way but there's nothing we could do for you but give you a credit and make you spend money and you shouldn't have to spend. If I had the resources I would sue choice.

My dishwasher stopped working so I called Choice. I was called by the repair company the next day and an appointment was set for two days later. The repair guy found out that a wire shorted and burnt through. He put the wire back together and wrapped electrical tape around it. All that being said, I still had to pay $60.00 out of pocket which I thought Choice would have picked up more of the cost for the service call.

The only good experience I had with Choice warranty was the sub-contracted technician that came out. He was very professional. As for choice warranty they did not want to spend the money to fix my washing machine so they gave me a measly $300 gift card to Lowe’s to go buy a new one and as everybody knows, that’s not nearly enough to buy the cheapest washing machine out there. I very highly DO NOT recommend this company. They are a horrible company that hides behind the fine print.

Although home warranties don't always cover all our house problems, this time it did. Easy online scheduling of the appointment and the plumber came in a few days (breakdown late Friday). He fixed the problem and even called ahead to make sure he had the right part. The only glitch was waiting for the company to approve the claim, but it all happened. We are grateful to Choice Home Warranty and master plumber Jeff.

I have been very pleased with the response that Choice Warranty has provided. I always receive a response to any claim I have made and an email the following day with the claim being given to a vendor. If for any reason the vendor does not respond I can always go back to the website to see the reason.

The technician did a thorough diagnosis of the compressor and air handler. Found the problem with the compressor on the outside of the building and air handler in the attic. The compressor was low on coolant and the air handler in the attic was leaking and full of mold and bacteria.

I filed a claim with the company regarding my spring being broke in my garage. A tech came out and submitted pictures and their diagnostic. Choice Home Warranty denied it stating that there is rust on the photo the tech submitted. They double checked with the tech and the tech stated that there was no rust on the spring, that this wasn’t a pre-existing issue, that the spring just broke. The company still told the tech no that’s rust and denied the claim. Not knowing they went through a law suit in 2016 and recently on the news there are customers that are looking to sue them for not covering their claims.

For the most part Home Warranty is great! It gives me some peace of mind. The issues I had in the past were resolved pretty quickly and so far I've only had one issue. Not exactly sure who dropped the ball. I have a water leak, plumber showed up and told me they needed Choice to respond and "accept" work order after I paid the fee. They waited about an hour and then they had to leave and said when Choice responds they will return. No work was done, water is still running.

I called on Monday about my hot water tank and they weren’t able to get anybody out here till Wednesday so two days without a shower, two days without washing dishes, two days without doing laundry but the guy that came out and did it was awesome. His name was Brad From A&C plumbing.

My first experience dealing with Choice was horrible, when our tankless water heater had an issue Choice refused to get a technician out to us. I had to pay out of pocket to get a plumber. Which Choice said they’ll refund me. So after I hire my own technician they changed up and said I didn’t do it correctly so we’ll give you a 150.00 which also to a month to receive. The technician for the dishwasher was great. So it appears they pick and chose what they want to take care was the attitude I got from customer service.

I was told on the phone by your salesman that my equipment would be replaced with an equivalent unit that I had purchased and nothing could be farther from the truth and when I was trying to explain that to a representative I was treated poorly and then she hung up on me, she didn't want to hear it.

Fast response and good vendors. I am happy with Choice and I would recommend to my friends. The only issue is the definition of what they call physical/forceful damage. I had a faucet needed to be replaced and the vendor diagnosed as wear and tear, but the claim was declined as forceful damage!

Technician showed up on Tuesday afternoon with no notice. A message had been sent sometime on Tuesday am but my phone had not been turned up. Very personable and appeared very competent. He confirmed it was a bad bearing, sent the necessary pictures and requested the appropriate parts. This is Friday, the part is in Gillette Wy and it will be installed tomorrow. So far the service has been excellent. Hoping the repair goes as well.

Garage door rod/spring and accessories were replaced by Fusion Garage. I was able to have it repaired within 3 days for diagnostic to CHW approval for claim, and repair. Note: Rod/spring assembly not covered by CHW (read contract exclusions). Repair was completed in 45 minutes. I am very happy with results. KUDOS to IVO from Fusion Garage.

I submitted a claim on 3/13/24 and today is 4/4/24. It’s been exactly 3 weeks and they have not been able to fix my leaking kitchen sink. I have spoken to them 17 times in the last 3 weeks and every single time I have been told they will take care of it. They never have. I have been transferred to resolution twice and have done absolutely nothing. Every time I speak to one of their representative they tell me the same thing, I have to wait 24-48 business hours to hear back and I never do. I have been calling the plumbing company they assigned and they said they have submitted everything they ask for multiple times or it’s crickets from the warranty company. It’s been 3 weeks since I have been able to use my kitchen sink and it’s more than unacceptable.
What is the point of purchasing a home warranty if they do not care or do anything for you? Yet they send you multiple emails a day to buy their products. This has become more than an inconvenience. At this point they are at a breach of contract. They were paid to do something they have failed to do. I will also be filing a complaint with CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS. This company should not be in operating. They are scamming people and potentially causing their customers hundreds of dollars. Check BBB reviews. They are 1 star with a pending lawsuit from the State of Arizona.

I've been happy with what Choice Home Warranty has come out. I have a septic system and they have the biggest variety of things. They have saved me money already. However, when I was having problems with my dishwasher, it was a hassle the first time. They couldn't find anybody in this area to come out and do the dishwasher but that wasn't their fault. They wanted me to get someone from the local area, but nobody would do it because of the Choice Home Warranty thing.
Sears came out and everyone was very informative and friendly. They fixed whatever was needed and everything's working fine. But I had a heck of a time trying to get the correct phone number to them so that they were able to call me. They finally came out and had the correct phone number but I had to take it on myself and call the company that was supposed to come and give them the correct phone number. I had them out a second time. I wasn't sure if my dishwasher was working correctly because one time when I opened it, there was still water in there. I called somebody else. But there was nothing wrong with it.

MJ Appliance repair set up an appointment to come out and fix our washing machine. They were on time for the appointment and fixed our washing machine. They called back that evening to make sure everything was okay. This is something you do not expect to have happen after a service call. I would recommend them to repair any appliance in your home.

Quick turnover from CHW with a response within 5 minutes (or less) after submitting a claim that they are processing it. Usually, they come back within 24-48 hours with a technician, a date, and a time of an appointment to come out to the house. They're always prompt and professional.

I submitted a claim to CHW for the repair of a dishwasher. The contractor said he would order the parts and be back to repair, only to find out the claim was denied. CHW claims it was not normal wear and tear. The dishwasher is 5 years old, and CHW claims the problem is not normal wear and tear. This is my second denial of a claim on two different policies I have with CHW. This is not a major claim and I have invested over $800 in these policies but NO MORE. I am actively looking for another Home Warranty company now, and will make a switch as soon as my research is complete. I hope this small denial was worth losing 2 policies that just began in JANUARY, and this was my second year with CHW. My sister just joined this year because I spoke highly of your service. I will share this with her as well. Thanks for letting me see how you really feel about your customers.

The jury is still out, I reported a problem with a stopped/clogged kitchen sink and all I have so far the the claim number, the problem was reported at 1:31 p.m. central time on 4/4/24, it is 5:51 p.m., same day, as I write this. I expected a call from a local plumber by now... I hope to hear from someone early a.m. tomorrow, 4/5/24. BTW, this is my first claim.

I recommend Choice Home Warranty. It's working for me. I have all my rental with them. Whatever I need, they take care of it. They've gotten better during the last couple of times. They are calling Sears who are much better and professional. If they need to change a part on an appliance, they have everything. In the last couple of years, I have complained about their contractors. They were asking Choice something else, but what they were doing was completely something different.

I got Choice in December and I was truck driving at the time over the road. I was never home and it gave me peace of mind that I have Choice to rely on if anything was gonna go wrong. But I have a hard time with wording claims. The last claim I got was denied and I got the chance to talk to them and I got denied because I worded it wrong. I was having a pipe issue and I said it was on the outside and outside pipes are not covered. I know that. But I have to go outside to go under the house.
I just wanna call them from now on because I was putting in claims online. They told me it's best if I just call them and talk to them. I'm real bad as far as emails go, too. They email me fairly quickly and I'm not a good one for checking emails. Other than that, the contractors have been great. The guys who came out for my AC were awesome and I was super impressed. It was the same way with the plumber for the clog I had in the drain. Choice has top quality contractors that come do the work and are very courteous. It's good quality all the way around.

Repair appointment was scheduled on a timely basis after claim was filed. Repairman showed up as scheduled and replacement of icemaker was done quickly and satisfactorily. No problems at all. The repairman was from a reputable firm and was very competent and professional. Repairs were completed within one hour of the repairman's arrival and in a completely satisfactory manner. Choice Warranty did a very good job with this claim.

2. Even after the tech is authorized to make changes an email is sent with a new tech assignment.
3. This has repeated with 6 technicians and in 2 instances I have ended up paying the service fee even when the service was not completed.
This is a scam company and has to be blacklisted and other home owners saved from this agony. Talk to the local plumbers and electricians, they will tell you about Choice Home warranty.

After going through other two warranty companies, Choice is fair and transparent into what is covered and what is not covered. Also, the technicians have been mostly good except for a couple. There were contractors that were rude or would come and do the minimum and leave everything dirty or try to find ways of not doing the job. I usually make a complaint about it and Choice either responds or changes a technician. Customer service is responsive, although not fast, and the process has been easy. I put in a claim and a technician comes a couple days after. They either fix it or they come back a couple days later with the part that is missing. I wonder how Choice does business because I've had to do a lot of things at my home. It's worth it and I'm gonna renew it.

I call Choice Home Warranty. My boiler was leaking on 3-26-24. Technician came, he say he could not fix, it was to be replace. He submitted to CHW. I contact Tania my case person. She told me they were going to replace same A O smith 75 gallon boiler. I would have to pay $1145.00. On 4-4-24 service guys came from CGP. They bring off brand boiler I didn't accept. I was charged for modifications that really were necessary copper fittings and such to install the replacement water heater. THESE WERE PARTS, not modifications. You can't avoid cutting out a water heater without replacing old pipe, fittings, and valves. CHW is a lying service company when the contract says PARTS ARE COVERED, and then they charge you for them. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND CHW, in fact I would push back on any idea of wasting money with you guys. MY BLOOD PRESSURE SPIKES WHENEVER I THINK ABOUT CHW.

I live in Mich. Furance went out. To us, that's an emergency. Placed a claim, waited 7 days and no service call dispatched or company to call. We had to find our own company. The tech had to fill out paperwork for us to get reimbursed. Now I should be invited to the company picnic. I am working for them. Cancel coverage should be as easy as obtaining coverage. I don't need an agent giving Lippy with me for trying to cancel.

Most of the time I am pleased with the service. They truly do try to help you if there is a problem. Sometimes their contractors are not the best but they do try to make it right. It is very easy to set up a claim. I wish they had a better emergency outlet for us. Like when someone has no heat. We have to then called in our own people and can't use CHW.

We were so dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty. I keep getting calls to sign up for Choice, and I keep telling them I'm already a member. I do not think their people talk to each other a whole lot. When we had them out to fix the dryer/washing machine, it got all confused and they cancelled that. We had to start over. So, we're still waiting. Maybe they'll be out here this Friday to fix the dryer. They also came out and cleaned our dryer one time, but we still had to pay the $64 copay. I would tell others to shop around and see if they could find something better. The coverage is good and speaking with them seems to be okay, but to get something to happen is a different story.

Choice has been my home warranty for several years now and hands down 5 stars. The representatives there do not just treat you like a number. They truly care about you and your home and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are taken care of. They communicate to you every step of the way and are fast to respond! I know a lot of people do not like home warranties, but that is probably because they have not had one that was like Choice.

I have eight properties with Choice. The claims go through fast. Generally, I have to go online, and that works. Sometimes, I call in, which also works. Sometimes, I have to wait a little bit, but that's okay. When there was an AC problem, they fixed it. There was a plumbing problem that they fixed as well. It was a bathroom leak. The plumber detected the problem then he had to communicate with Choice to get the okay. In 15 minutes, he got okayed so he changed it.

I've had multiple policies with Choice Home Warranty. They're very prompt in responding when I call. I said my things are 20 years old, so I have to call occasionally. But I am unhappy about one incident. I had someone install a hot water heater for me. I've been calling frequently. And they keep telling me the guy that put it in was supposed to come back and put a bladder thing on top. He never came back. He was an unsavory kind of guy. So, I was anxious about him anyway. CHW has never paid for that for me. So, I do not have a bladder tank which is up to code on my hot water tank. That was all I complained about.
They were very good. I'm satisfied. I got the hot water heating, except they still owe me a bladder tank to go with it. I have a couple of rental properties. And I got tired of calling because they should have followed up. I plan to keep CHW if I still get good service. They keep going up on their fee each time, which I'm not happy about. But that's business.

Contractors need to be trusted that they are getting paid.
Attached is the approval then after repair they disapproved and locked him out of the system. Then I had to step in and help Jim.
We pay you monthly for a service and would expect to do the same for contractors. I waited 8 days for heat. Unacceptable

I had the dishwasher looked at a couple of times. The first time, the repairman recalibrated the electronic panel on it. The wire notes were loose the second time he came out. I would like to pay less though.

For the Heat Pump call, the response service and appointment has been timely and professional. For the Refrigerator call, the process and response has not been as timely and a bit frustrating in working to reschedule the appointment with the vendor or getting a service order number in order to reschedule the appointment. We had a small claim where we had to replace the garbage disposal. The only challenge I had with that was the company didn't leave us any type of receipt or any paperwork on the garbage disposal. I wish they had left us that information because I keep very thorough records of everything. Other than that, my wife was pleased with the people that came out. We're happy with Choice.

After hundreds of unsolicited emails I stupidly answered a phone call. Since I had just experienced several repairs around my home I purchased a home warranty. After checking company out on Better Business Bureau I have decided to cancel. Have now spent 10 minutes on the phone trying to cancel. She wanted to "downgrade" my policy to $600 and refund only $700 of the $1,386 I paid a day ago. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Glad I'm cancelling if this is how they do business.!

In all fairness, our experience with Choice Home Warranty has been favorable, we have had this service for several years now and we just signed back on with them last year for another 2 years. Having said that, this is not the first time there has been a delay in choice’s ability to find a contractor in a timely manner. Normally it is not a huge deal, but in this case it was. The appliance was leaking water all over our kitchen and we could not identify where it was coming from. The delay in choice’s ability to get a contractor our to us right away caused further damage to our home and we had to end up making a home owners claim for the damages to our kitchen, office, bath, laundry and living room. We are thankful that CAPX Pros LLC was able to get out to us right away in order to mitigate the damages and we will be having them do the build back as well.

CHW has been good. Fixed our AC then replaced our above the stove microwave. And yesterday instead of repairing a resistor in our ceiling fan because the lights stopped working. They replaced the whole fan with a new one, very happy with them. Just wish they were not so expensive and service call was not so high.

The person who was sent came that afternoon at 5. He was very efficient. He found where the water was leaking on to the floor. It was the valve connecting the water line was not tightly closed. It took him about 20 minutes to find and correct. He was excellent in his service.

We haven't made many claims but the couple we have were executed promptly. Most people say that dealing with the warranty company is a drawn out process but we were sent a service tech both times within maybe 2 business days. Our AC replacement will take a little longer which is understandable since parts have to be ordered but the tech was scheduled the evening before Easter. I didn't even expect a response until after Easter.

Thank you Hometown Heating and Air (Jim). Repair was done after waiting a WEEK for a technician. After the the repair I stayed in contact with Jim. Choice was not going to pay for the repairs until I stepped in and helped with the matter. If they would have taken care of Jim’s company he would have accepted the job in Amherst N.Y. Right after mine. I am disappointed that another family could not be helped because contractors aren’t being paid. Luckily Taylor from Choice called me and assured Jim would get paid. I hope Choice calls Jim at Hometown so they have a quality contractor to help their clients with heating and air breakdowns. Contractors need to be trusted that they are getting paid. Technician called and apologized for being late but would arrive in 45 minutes. He was personable, friendly and efficient. He had the problem corrected within a half hour. This company is awful. The warranty was included when we bought the house. We had the warranty for over 3 years and every time we made a claim it was like pulling teeth. They sent technicians who were either completely unqualified or were just too lazy to do a good job. Our HVAC system had a leak and multiple times they sent someone to just charge the system instead of actually find the leak and fix it. Twice they kept us waiting for 2 weeks in the middle of the summer with no air conditioning. When your policy is set to expire they will harass you endlessly to get you to renew no matter how many times you tell them no. Save your money. Or just burn it. Either way, it's a better use.

When I first took out the policy, I felt confident that if anything broke down it would be repaired or replaced. All the advertisements seem to reflect that. When my dishwasher was leaking, the service looked at it and said he was unable to get parts due to its age. I figured they would offer a cheap replacement, and I could Pay to upgrade it. But NO, the best they would do was a payment of $146.00. The cheapest dishwasher I found was $400.00. The cheapest one I found in the color to match the rest of the kitchen appliances was $600.00. Very disappointed!!!

Once I reported my problem to Choice Warranty, I received an email to let me know when someone could come out. It was late on a Friday afternoon when I called. I received a call from Central Air the next day, and they came out to repair my drain on Sunday, Easter Day. I am quite pleased with the technician that was sent was very professional. I think his name was Bruce. He explained to me what was going on with the drain and fixed the problem expeditiously. Yes I would definitely recommend Choice service.

Do not pick Choice Home Warranty, if you do, keep your expectations low. Allow plenty of time in your life to deal with them and following up daily. When I purchased my new home a home warranty was included. My gas stove top all burners didn't work and odd clicking while cooking, my dishwasher didn't clean well, and microwave buttons 4, 6, and 9 don't work. I opened cases on each of these about a month after moving in. The same tech was sent out, his tool box was about 4 inches by 9 inches and 3 inches high. He came to my house 4 times in about a month. I called choice and asked for new technician when it was obvious he didn't have a clue and they refused to replace him. I could have diagnosed problem better using YouTube. I gave up. Bought a new dishwasher because handwashing all the Thanksgiving and Christmas dishes was too much.
Choice would not compensate for their lack of help. This is 3 months later and I'm waiting on the parts to come in for the stove top still. When I opened a new issue for my AC I learned choice Warranty closed the stovetop issue as resolved. Nobody told me. They said they were going to offer me $398 for a new gas stove top replacement but too late now, I only had 3 months to respond. (Really? Where can you get an equivalent one for that? Why didn't someone call me? My contact said parts were coming and on back order?) Then the same service tech with his cute little tool bag showed up to repair my microwave, I told him I would let him look at it (and pay him the $75 fee, if he would fix the stove top and monthly ever since he's been telling me the part for stove isn't in yet).
I'm just being patient and waiting with my microwave service order. Now I know that there was never a part coming in. And the microwave service was also cancelled. I asked Choice if they would cover my dishwasher replacement or the hot water heater replacement that was needed the week after closing on house. Answer is always no.
Last night our AC quit working. The service tech they sent was out here quickly, and was very nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing. But he is waiting on Choice Home Warranty to determine if they will fix it right or half ** pay for a partial job and just fix for now. Time will tell. Working with Choice Home Warranty has not been fun or productive. I'm so disappointed and could have used the money paid to them to cover the cost of my new dishwasher. On the positive side, they did call back quickly every time I ring them during the business day. The electronic answering service at night opens the case and dispatches service, but not much more then that (voice recognition is not the best). So if they misunderstood, you may get a pool guy to fix your garage door opener.

The circuit is located in the kitchen and therefore there isn't many appliances that can be used. I filed a claim online and within 1 hour Choice Warranty had a repair company scheduled to come and fix the problem. On 03/29/24, I filed a claim (#**) to have the sump pump in my home replaced after it failed and septic waste/water/backed up in my home. I purchased a three year warranty with Choice in 2021. At that time, I purchased the upgraded plan to include the septic tank and the sump pump. The claim was filed, and a technician was dispatched to my home but was not available until 04/03/24. (The technician was based out of Alabama, when there were local Georgia technicians available immediately.) I called Choice requesting immediate service since there was septic water/waste backing up in my home and I have a disabled child in my home and need an operable toilet. I was told there was nothing they could do.
The technician was kind enough to come to my home on 04/01 after I contacted him directly to stress the sense of urgency. After evaluating the sump pump, the technician reported that the pump needed to be replaced. Choice denied the claim stating that the pump did not have a check valve. I am not a plumber so I would have no knowledge of a check valve being required. Additionally, when I purchased the upgraded plan, no one from Choice discussed any specific coverage requirements for the sump pump, septic tank or any other items with me at that time or later. The purpose of purchasing the warranty was to cover expenses, such as this one. I have no choice but to find the money to pay for the replacement since I cannot risk the health concerns associated with waste and septic water backing up into my home and impacting me, my daughter and/or my disabled son.

This is the second time that a claim has been submitted and has been declined from them. We spend over $600 for these warranties and then you get no benefit from them. I just made my first claim and it was a pretty fast process. I have problems with my washer machine and CHW agreed to have it replaced. I just don’t like the amount I got back because it was low and not enough to purchase a new one, I also have no choice but to get it through Lowe’s which forces me to have to add money in order to buy the new one. The process is also taking long, it says the gift card can take up to 30 days to receive.

Choice is the best by far. I phoned in around 830 pm and by 830am the following day there was a tech at my door (Florida). They are replacing my 4 ton heat pump air handler Free of charge. I've been with them 7 yrs on my 2nd 5 year term and will renew when the time comes for another 5.

I put a claim in on March 23. A repair person showed up 3 hours after the 2 hour window on Wednesday, March 27. He agreed the unit was broke and submitted his report. Choice denied the claim for an item specifically covered in the policy. On April 1, after the close of business, I am still waiting to hear back on my appeal. So I am not happy. My first two claims were turned down for reason I could not argue with but they were still turned down.

The plumber that answered our claim knew the cause of the error code and went right to work. He attached the discharge hose to the under sink disposer and ran tests to ensure the dishwasher was filling and discharging water as required. The service technician did a great job when he finally arrived. The 8-5 window is unfair to the customer and all day the time getting pushed back making it difficult to plan anything else. Neither he or I was able to reach your approval area when he was there as they said closed for the day- how is the technician supposed to get approval? Your customer service number is hard to work with- not open enough hours and since it is located offshore language is definitely a barrier. You guys have to do better to differentiate yourself. Visit by the technician was excellent. He diagnosed the problem in a snap and had to order a circuit board for the microwave. It appears they couldn't get the board, or some other reason, but since then I have heard NOTHING! I've contacted customer service on at least 4 occasions to find out what is going on. "We'll contact the service company and get back." After each call----crickets. l have been without my microwave since Feb 11. This isn't the type of support I would ever recommend to anyone!!!! SHAME ON CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.
