The service technician was polite, knowledgeable and courteous. He diagnosed and fixed the problem. Would recommend Fidellis.Very responsive and professional company to work with. If the need arise I would ask for them again, I will recommend them to family and friends. They take pride in their work. Honest and professional, and show up in a timely manner.

Nite Air technician arrived as he had stated, he was professional, personable, efficient & had my AC running in minutes. I was & I am immensely grateful. My AC had been out for 5 days in record heat, on one of those days my outside thermometer registered 107°

It takes CHW too long to find a contractor to repair your appliance. I have a double refrigerator & it is losing air on the refrigerator side. My husband submitted a claim on 6.17.24 and we did not receive service until 6.22.24. This is not the first claim we submitted with CHW where we had to wait a long time for service. It's now 6.25.24 & our refrigerator is still not cooling because a part (Damper Control) had to be ordered. The technician will return on 7.5.24 to replace the part, which is too long to wait. And now we noticed the freezer side of our refrigerator is losing air & not cooling. Have Mercy!

The technician that came to my house was excellent. He was professional, insightful, and punctual. My problem is with Choice. The lack of communication and follow up makes me wish I had gone with another insurance company. I have still yet to speak with a representative however I receive about 50 emails a week in spam. Additionally, when marketing contacted me they didn't even know I was an existing customer.

Submitted claim online and within an hour had a call from technician's company scheduling his visit for that very same day! Arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem with our washing machine and gave very detailed information on next steps (approval for repair, ordering part, scheduling follow-up for repair, etc.). Extremely personable and knowledgeable guy. Couldn't be happier with my first claim with Choice Home Warranty!

It was ok. My A/C went out. Had to wait 2 days in brutal heat to get it fixed. The technician fixed it right away so it ended well. I am glad I have Choice Home Warranty. The service was fine but I didn't like waiting 2 days for service but like I said overall good experience.

Called the CHW 1-888 number and left a message for a call back number and after 3 minutes somebody called me back. He asked a few questions and process my claim in no time at all. I have a problem with my central air conditioning unit that runs all the time and it is not cooling the air inside the house.

The technician who came to my home in Iselin to repair my AC, filled Freon and did the necessary repair and he was paid. The AC stopped working in 3 days. Now they want to charge me more for filling freon, seal leak and vacuuming the ducts. It's very unfair practice.

We had water in our dryer and the control panel would not turn the unit off. We had to unplug it. When the technician arrived, the problem had resolved itself. However, the technician answered a lot of questions and make some recommendations on other services we are looking into. It was a quick response (next day) and a knowledgeable and friendly technician.

Kintek Plumbing was prompt in scheduling & explained all issues in detail. Would recommend them to anyone. I wish it had carried over to Choice Home Warranty. CHW leaves a lot to be desired. You get a 0 for your ineptitude. I will not be recommending you to any homeowner.

I filed a claim for a garbage disposal at 9 AM and by 3 o’clock the problem was resolved. I’ve been with Choice Home Warranty for nearly 2 1/2 years. In that time I filed three claims. All have been handled professionally. The claim process is quick and easy with just a few clicks of a mouse. I would highly recommend choice for their reliability and ease of doing business.

Just started the process but so far it’s been easy. Now let’s see how it goes from here. We are waiting on a call from a plumber. The floor is also warped so it more than just a leaky toilet. We live in a small town. Not close to big city.

I love the company that you use for HVAC/ac. They do a great job and are very nice guys to work with! Five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!!’ Richard and Tony are awesome! Tony discovered two wires had melted together and fix it quick! Have to have the ac working when it’s 100 degrees and higher super pleased with them and their professionalism!

I was notified by the plumber that he would be late, but that he would be here. I thanked him because most of them don't call. So thank you. Once he arrived went to work and did a great job. I don't know why this won't go through but this is the last time I doing it.

Very helpful and suggested every option possible. Not pushing but very patient. Thank you. Very knowledgeable extremely helpful. I saved money less than my old plan I had. It seemed better coverages. Less on calling fee. I hopefully plan on staying with you all. The agent suggested a lot of other options for seniors which was great but couldn’t do it at this time. This warranty company is full of lies. First page of their webiste. "We're Here for you 24/7 in our call centers" LIES!!! You have to call during business hours to speak to someone! They tell you 24/7 online customer support, also LIES!! Yes, you can send them an email but that's NOT 24/7 online customer support, that's send us an email and we will reply within 24-48 hours. Under the "Terms of Service Agreement" it's clearly stated: "Upon request for service, We will begin contacting Service Provider(s) within 4 hours." But what they don't' tell you is if your system breaks on Friday afternoon and their office is closed, after front page lies of 24/7 phone support, that it's 4 hours after they open on a Monday morning. Two weekends in a row now I have had AC issues.
We have elderly people in the home and our temps are reaching 110 today. I specifically asked why my claim was not submitted into the system on Sunday for a tech to accept the call. The phone rep straight up said, we weren't here yesterday to submit the claim to our service providers. I asked about their lies and terms of service agreements that THEY themselves have to abide by since we are required to and that's what we are all agreeing upon but they don't care about their customers. They are just here for the check. False advertising and lies from the start. I would STRONGLY suggest finding someone else.

The technician that stopped by was very knowledgeable and helped tremendously on a positive maintenance suggestions. The AC is working fine now. I will continue to provide a scheduled maintenance on the AC. The technician provided a filter for the AC which saved me the trip to the store, he also provided a name of a vendor for the preferred type of filter which will save me monies.

Choice and HWA are the top worst-run businesses I have ever encountered as a consumer.
- They tell me they are looking into it, and a week later tell me they'll assign a case manager, who will contact me in a week (no water for 2 weeks).
- They give you phone numbers that do not work and do not reply to emails, and give you no way of contacting them.
- Their 'customer support agents' tell you they can't transfer you to your case manager, and give you a number that doesn't work. They tell you that you can not speak with a supervisor when they simply are being unhelpful, but ask enough, and they'll transfer you.
- They say they'll 'call you back' but never do.- Their network of service technicians are unreliable at best and down-right incompetent at worst. I question whether some of them are even licensed. Acting as a contractor, Choice/HWA carry the liability of vetting their sub-contractors which they are obviously not doing.
Stay far away from their services. Home Warranty of America was acquired by Choice Home Warranty. You're better off taking the monthly charge, and putting it into a savings account to fund large repairs than go through the warranty process.

Obtaining this warranty was an excellent decision. It has been easy to file a claim and I don’t have to worry about contacting technician to come make repairs to my appliance. I have used this several times and everyone that came to my home was professional and experienced. Very pleased!

Good. But Pro always give a very high labour cost which 50 - 60 more than the fair labor. At the end of the day, the claimant get the cost of item and had to arrange a better fair pro. That's all I can say. The policy should example of claim settlement for big ticket items.

Too slow sending repairman. I called on Wednesday, repairman didn't come until Friday. He had to report back to his boss which had to report back to Choice. I'm 74 and the heat is unbearable...I think things could and should move along faster. This is my first experience with Choice and I'm not happy.

No one seems to want to work with you as you make things so difficult. Two technicians were assigned and canceled because of the delays in answering and approving service. The technician who finally came was very good but waited for a very long time for an answer which did not come until he completed the job. He does not have time to sit around and wait for hours for answers from you. The approval should be done with the assignment so that work can be done quickly.

It’s very important to stay in touch and follow up with each claim. Sometimes there are communication problems, but have had good luck resolving them with Choice. We had one claim that was a little difficult to resolve but eventually it was done. We have had this plan for two plus years and Plan to Renew when our 3 year contract is up.

After 3 failed appointments, 2 because the companies did not have a ladder for roof access and one because the company was located in Maryland, not Texas, a very good technician was sent out from Lenari. He did a very good job fixing the problem and was very professional. If I have another A/C issue I would very much like the same company be the one to handle it.

I spoke multiple times with the sales representative. I was under the impression that he was well aware of the home we were moving into and intending to cover with the policy. We chose a monthly fee policy. Within the first 3 months of since purchase, we had 3 claims…A furnace, water heater and AC unit. While Choice was great about sending emails, 99% of them were meaningless and the other 1% regarded the scheduling (mostly rescheduling) of appointments to evaluate our issues. We became so tired of the “run-around” and wasted time that we ended up scheduling contractors to fix our problems.
I honestly believe the difficulties we had in communicating and their constant rescheduling is by design. Worst yet, when my wife became engaged in the process and called Choice, they convinced her that based on our home size “we’d been sold the wrong policy” and proceeded to charge us $2,000 for the “right one”! I’m not joking…This really happened! Needless to say, we immediately requested a refund, which I believe was granted and canceled the policy. All I can say is buyer-beware!

The Tech was great. The number of times CHW needed 'additional information' delayed the process for days. We have been without AC for a week now and who know when it will be repaired. This has taken way too long and each time 'additional information' was requested could have been done much quicker.

I called to create a claim and it was completed within 5 minutes. The repair company called right away to schedule an appointment. The technician came within the window of time scheduled. Unfortunately, my appliance would not make the weird noise again but the technician gave me some helpful tips if it should happen again.

My refrigerator stopped working when I was on vacation. I came home with all my food spoiled. I called Choice Home Warranty. They had someone come right away, the service representative sent pictures of repairs that were needed to be made to Choice. The decision was made by Choice Home Warranty to replace my refrigerator. It was appreciated so much since we just lost all our food, at least we had Choice Home Warranty.

Working with Choice Home Warranty has been a positive experience. The appointments have been timely and professional in most cases. I have had appointments where the tech didn't show up and only an email was sent to reschedule after we have already made arrangements to be home. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to others but I would recommend they monitor the companies they use to make the calls as some may not meet the companies' expectations.

I used Choice warranty for two separate issues. My HVAC unit was not working properly. They came out and fixed the issue same day. My refrigerator went up. They sent someone but it took a few days for them to come out. They determined I would need a new refrigerator. I had to wait 39 days before they issued me a check to replace my refrigerator. Waiting 30 days is unacceptable for an appliance you need to use on a daily basis and I explained I had a new born infant in my home who was just born. I needed to store breast milk. Happy they fulfilled both claims but the process for replacing an appliance, I airing 30 days is crazy. They did honor contract.

Our washing machine stopped working and I put in service request and a tech came out and advised you of the problem and you promptly advise us that it could not be fixed and made an offer to replace it via a Lowe's ecard which we accepted. We ask for a check in place of the card as we will buy a washer at Lowe's by using our Lowe's cc. We needed a check to pay on the CC. Thank you.

Very nice worker, and very fast service. No issues with rescheduling. Website user friendly but if an emergency there is no emergency contact. Worker showed up earlier than scheduled time which was great and finished the job in a timely manner. I like the call back service when operators are busy and did not have to wait very long.

Removed and replaced valves in basement to washing machine reconnected. Washing machine removed and tidy up area where work had been done. Seemed to be very knowledgeable about the situation. Completed repair in a reasonable amount of time. Customer was very satisfied with the job that was completed. New water valves installed.

A/c has gone out. Choice sent a very thorough technician out to check it and he concluded that I need a new unit. Now choice wants a “second opinion“ and so I have no a/c for at least 14 more days until another technician comes out to check it. It’s mid 90’s and over 100 degrees in my house. Choice is a horrible company!

The technician that came out to service my stove burners was very helpful and knowledgeable. It turned out to he a minor issue and they are working now. However, I do feel it was costly. I realize companies charge a fee to come to the house but I am also paying a monthly fee to Choice Home Warranty.

My heat was not properly functioning. I placed a work order and a company was assigned the next day and quickly scheduled to assess the problem. They also quickly scheduled my repairs l. I was disappointed to learn I had to pay a significant portion of the fees without any explanation from Home Choice. I also would have preferred I had the option to request the repair parts be that of the same manufacturer since it was available. Now I have of I what I consider a mismatch of parts. The assigned company also used sealant tape rather than caulk around the casing.
After the new part was installed I started hearing a constant whistle every time the system came on and was told I had to pay an additional $1,500 to stop the noise though it was not present before the repair. I'm appreciate the swift response and so happy to have cool air in my home but not thrilled about the process of the transaction. I'm not sure if I will renew my warranty when it come up. As a consumer I want to be sure I get the value for services In this economy.

John did a good job. Knew what he was doing. Made the repair and unit is working. Would like to have him again to repair my unit. Chw was slow in finding someone to fix the unit. I was out ac a week in 90 degree weather. Chw needs to fix who you talk to when we call, was not happy the way the call responded.

Our dryer was not blowing hot air. A ticket was created and service was performed within 3 business days. I am well pleased with the repair. The technician was knowledgeable and remedied the issue quickly. We were grateful to have the dryer fixed so quickly, since laundry was stacking up. We would definitely recommend Choice to others.

After filing a claim I heard nothing that day and on the second day called Choice. I was told the appointment would be the following afternoon. I was was unable to use my facet as the water would run off the island counter immediately. The plumbing company never called for any information and when the technician called an hour before the appointment I told him to have the proper paper work to enter the condo complex. He said he didn't have it. That ended up being an ordeal as I scrambled to get emergency approval from my mtg. company.
I think Choice took too long to get me a plumber and the plumbing company should been prepared with their licence and insurance papers as almost all condo buildings require them in Florida. Then the plumber told me I was lucky I had the parts to do the repair and I told him your company should have called in advance and gotten them. He said it's the client's responsibility since my facet is expensive (a BLANCO) and that if the owner can't get the parts Choice would only allow them to put in a "Chinese" similar faucet. That wouldn't have worked for me for two reasons. My bar sink facet is on the other side of the island and it matches the kitchen faucet. Secondly when I bought my policy they never mentioned they wouldn't replace with an same model if available.

Eddie was so friendly and nice and I wish he could answer ALL OF YOUR CALLS! My Air conditioning system quit working yesterday and I came home to a sweltering house! It's easy to get very agitated when your are that hot, but talking to Eddie was very easy and he made my first claim very friendly and very easy and Sears had actually picked up my service call and set my appointment before we were off of the phone. The only thing I would like to see improved is that Sears expects you to wait the entire day for them. I am a working woman and taking the entire day off seems way too much to accommodate Sears. They should break it down to 3 segments like the cable company. Early morning/mid day/late afternoon so as to improve customer satisfaction. Other than that - super happy that I signed up for this warranty protection and totally looking forward to getting my a/c fixed obviously!

Placed a claim that was accepted by 4D‘s Plumbing. They arrived when scheduled and addressed the out of line conditions in a timely manner. This is a family owned business and have been assigned claims at my house over the last 5 years and I have had the pleasure to meet 3 of his sons who work with him learning the family business. The technician did the service. He called and told me he was coming to assess the issue. He came out and assessed his the problem and said he had to submit a claim. He called the next day to inform me that the claim was granted and he was coming to complete the job.

CHW sent a technician in 01/2024 that seemed to have fixed an issue with my heating. Now 06/2024 I'm having another issue with the AC. Today's technician (Sonny) was wonderful, and fixed the shoddy work the January technician did. Had to pay out of pocket, so hoping CHW will reimburse me.

This was our first claim with Choice and it was a world of difference from our old warranty company. Our selected technician was a small business owner, he was knowledgeable, friendly and very respectful. We love supporting small family owned businesses. The repair was quickly approved by Choice, the technician repaired the issue the same day. Our A/C is now cooling properly again. Choice is a terrible warranty company! This is the 3rd time we made a claim and there is always some reason they can't cover a claim or they assign technicians that don't cover our area. Choice makes the consumer do most of the leg work in communicating with the technicians. This last claim is the last straw, I am immediately canceling and I will share on every social media review I can find how terrible their service is. Our air conditioner went out. I made a claim describing we had seniors in the house and needed the AC fixed as soon as possible. They took 2 days to try to find someone to service our area. Choice then sends an email asking us if we wanted to hire someone out of network since they were not finding anyone in network and they would reimburse us minus the service fee. We hired the people that actually installed the AC unit that had the issue.
We sent Choice the problem description, pictures, invoice and everything they asked, and on the same day Choice denied the claim stating we didn't get prior approval. I needed my AC unit fixed immediately! They completely ignored that this was an emergency and that we had seniors in the house as I stated in the claim. They make us do all the leg work, promising to reimburse us then find some technicality as to why they won't reimburse us. They always find a reason not to pay a claim! That's been our experience. Choice is the worst warranty company we have ever worked with. We had AHS before this and the only reason we stopped using them was because they started getting too pricey, but their service was so much more superior.
They always did the leg work, we got decent technicians in a reasonable time, though they try hard not to replace stuff. They actually did replace one of our ac units and one of our appliances inside the house. Choice is the complete opposite. We have not had one successful claim out of the 3 we made. I guess the moral of this experience is you get what you pay for.

I only had a few questions to ask and no one would call me back. The man I talked to about getting started with this company was very short with me and wanted off the phone. I am considering cancelling this service. I don’t appreciate being treated this way. I will request my money back too since it is not in effect till July 29.

Franky ** was very informative and took the time to explain to me all about Choice and all the benefits your company had to offer and how much better and different your company is compared to the one I had. It was about to expire and I was shopping around to see if I could find a better company and when I called Choice Franky was very kind and professional and took the time to explain all about Choice plan and showed me how Choice was so much better and he convinced me to switch to Choice and he convinced me to sign up for the 3 year plan to save me even more money.

Damond, the technician, was very professional and knowledgeable. He fixed both air conditioners. Unfortunately for me, two A/C units were having issues. Choice Home Warranty paid for the A/C unit that needed a part to be replaced. But for the second unit, Choice Home Warranty had noted that they would not fix it. I had to pay out of pocket for a brand new A/C unit. I asked Damond if he could help me with the second A/C unit since Choice Home Warranty would not help me. He said yes. He just finished installing the 2nd A/C unit and it works well.

Bob came and found simple fixes for three of my issues. The final issue was a burned out light fixture. He quickly replaced the fixture for me. Bob was quick, efficient, and very professional during my repairs. I would choose Bob from Copperology for my electrical repairs for any additional ellectrical situations in the future.

Called a few months ago to inquire but took no action at that time. Received a couple of follow-up calls from Choice and have gone back with them as I was a satisfied customer before dropping coverage several years ago. Adam did a great job fixing the toilet, he was quick to come and take care of the issue. It only took a few minutes to replace the part that wasn’t working correctly. No problems so far, the toilet is flushing normally. I am keeping their contact information should I need any plumbing work in the future. I will also recommend them to my family and friends. I don’t have anything else to write other than I appreciate the prompt response from the company and how quickly they were able to respond and service.

Response from Choice Warranty was almost immediate. Received an email within a few hours of who and when the technician would be coming to fix the problem. The technician was very professional and informed of the work that needed to be done and when he completed the repair, he explained what was needed and how to avoid any further problems.

Unfortunately, the first company that was sent for this problem was totally a failure, service man did absolutely NOTHING, came in, looked, stood in front of washer, LOOKED, did not check to see the problem and left. After several days calling the company and being told "IT IS UNDER REVIEW." I ASKED FOR ANOTHER COMPANY. So far so good, he will be returning when the part comes in and I will be able to give my full rating.

The drum in the dryer didn't turn when turned on. It was a faulty switch and was fixed immediately. The repairman found the problem at once and gave me the part number for a new one if I chose to get one. His explanation was adequate. I was satisfied with the result.

After verifying with a tech on the phone that a waterline leak in our slab is covered and with the covered items listed in the contract we were denied coverage. This is typical, Choice looks for ways to decline coverage. We would not recommend Choice Home Warranty, there is no value in the policy.

I call Choice warranty to find why the Sears tech order parts for my refrigerator before coming to inspect and why it would take a month to install parts. Choice contacted Sears, Sears would contact me. I thought it would be a phone call or email. However, it was a text indicating that the time frame can be move up. I appreciate this update. The tech came and had no idea that someone order parts before coming out. However, he install the parts and fix the problem. The tech was confused about the my situation too. For me, this was a terrible experience.

On June 2, 2024, I put in a claim to CHW that my pilot light would not stay lit. Four more days have passed and I sent them a crappy email telling them that they needed to look outside their network to get somebody out here. I finally received an email on June 7 stating that a technician would be here on 12th of June. When the technician had arrived, I was told that I needed a new water heater because mine was 20 years old and I suggested changing the igniter which he said he would do but he would have to come back as he did three days later.
After that, the pilot light still would not stay lit then I was informed I needed a new water heater, and that he would CHW. A few hours later, I received an email from CHW stating THAT MY WATER HEATER WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED NORMAL AND TEAR. If it’s not normal, wear and tear that would suggest that I was negligent, careless, or that it was pre-existing. As it was not pre-existing because I have never had any issues with it and I just purchased this house a year ago in April. Needless to say, I went out and purchased a new water heater for almost $700 and had it installed for another $600 as I am still fighting with CHW on their final decision. Anytime I have put in a claim to CHW it has taken them at least a week or more to get someone out here to correct the problem.

I called to get a quote/policy based on the referral from a neighbor. I got a rep on the phone who gave me the same deal as my neighbor, told me he's handle transferring my American Home Shield Policy for me, then said I'd start my policy on July 1st - then took my payment and rushed me off the phone. Since then, I have not received policy docs and I still have reps calling me 10-12 times a day to sell me a policy. I finally answered a call from them and asked WHY they keep calling me, they were confused as well as to why my name was on their list.
I then asked why I haven't received my policy docs and they advised that I hadn't logged into the system and provided them a copy of my current policy with AHS - to which I replied, "I had no idea that I had to do that, nobody told me and I have yet to receive my policy docs" - but what I did receive was a link to this survey - so if this is the only way I can get SOMEONE at this company to get me the information, then so be it! I'm actually about to cancel this whole policy as I have not been treated well nor have I been given the policy. But I will say....they certainly CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITHIN SECONDS!

Not that the job is complete. But I always thought we pay for insurance plus a deductible and the work would be covered. I even have come to know warranty companies will replace everything inside a unit before replacing a unit. But to get a bill for thousands of dollars ($5k+) on a claim is unsettling.

This company is a joke! Paid them their monthly fee then a contractor to repair my appliances showed up and demanded that the minimum charge, which was $100.00 per appliance that had to be serviced! Same company two different appliances here to service both but hit me with a double service charge of $200.00. Then after two weeks the service was still not performed, got the comment that they were still waiting for the parts. Finally cancelled the poilcy. STRONGLY DISCOURAGE CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!!!

We’ve had seven service calls on this unit. Up until yesterday the refrigerator held at about 36 degrees and the freezer held at 5 - 12 degrees. However after the latest service call by FUSE HVAC & Appliance Repair both the refrigerator and freezer are not functioning at all. PLEASE HELP.

This technician addressed the problem and explained it to me. He was able to order a new door because the old door had plastic tubing instead of stainless steel and the water froze in it causing the problem. I don’t know why GE put plastic in this model when all others are stainless steel. He was thorough and efficient.

I have Choice home warranty for almost 3 years now. They're usually reliable to refer technicians to fix the problem. This year one of my ac unit gave hot air and my thermostat read 85 degrees when I put the claim on Tuesday and I have an appointment with a technician for Friday the following week (10 days later). It was too hot to stay in the house for 10 days without ac. I hired a company on my own to repair my ac within 24 hours and when I called choice home warranty and they refused to pay for the repair. Choice home warranty is better than the company I used prior.

We have had no luck with Choice Home Warranty company. Our daughter hasn’t either. We have had 3 claims over the last year and half and they have not paid any of them. The last one was in the last two months with our wash machine. They contacted Sears to come out and they never showed up. After 2 attempts we called the local dealer in Highland Illinois that we bought it from and had them come out (which only took 2 days). After looking at the washer they determined the problem and said they would order the part and be back to repair the machine. In less than a week they were back with the part and fixed the machine.
I uploaded the documents and bill for the repair to them as directed on their website. They denied the claim because they said the proper procedure was not followed. This was NOT what I was told when talking with another agent from their company. The other agent said if the repairs were under $3000.00 it could be submitted online and they would subtract the $75.00 service fee and send a check for the balance. This was the second claim this happened on.

I had Choice Home Warranty for 2 properties: I attempted to use it once on one property for AC trouble: I paid the $75 dollars for them to come out so that the Choice Home Warranty denied the coverage, so I was out the $75 and the cost of fixing them again on another property for the refrigerator and again there is a max amount covered so I still had to pay. Also the company they used did not show up multiple times: I would have saved more money if I did not have the plan-for me it was a total rip off. I would not recommend this company and I’m now skeptical of any other.

This company breaks the law and steals your money. They provided me a contract for 3 years on 2 properties (over $3,300), but, denied 2 claims that were covered in the policy. They make broad, reaching statements to deny the claims, such as, "our master technician says it has to be pre-existing for the component to fail earlier than it should have", and, "the item is beyond normal wear", or, "it is a manufacturer's defect". Even after the technician stood right there in my kitchen and told me that there was nothing we could have done to prevent or accelerate the damage done to the wire harness under the refrigerator. He stated that it was a common occurrence on that model, and that Kenmore stopped making that refrigerator model, so, it probably meant we would need a whole new refrigerator. I mean, this is exactly why we by these home warranties, right?!?!
They have these safety net, canned statements to justify taking your money and providing you with nothing. On top of all that, they make you pay $100 to a technician that is not even licensed to do the work in my state, then say, "all of the technicians we send out are properly licensed and bonded". I had to explain that having a business license is not the same thing as having a trade license...In the end, when I cancelled, they had the nerve to prorate my refund, so, on top of not meeting their contractual obligations and not providing any value at all, they kept $800 of my money, and I am still out the $200 paid out to the two technicians they sent out. Stay far away from these crooks.

The technician came out and said that it needed a part that was no longer made and said he would call Choice and let them know that day. I called numerous times and it seemed like they were giving me the run around. Finally two weeks later Chioce sent me an email telling me they were going to replace and send me gift certificates do $335 for a new dryer it would take up to 30 days. I had already been without a dryer for over two weeks and my wife was not happy. I called your service and they agreed to send me a check for $335 which I haven’t received as of this date. I went that day and purchased a dryer. Service was slow. Very disappointed. Even yet over a year ago I had a tech out to fix my garbage disposal. He fixed it and said it should be replaced. I told him that was between him and Choice. I am on aid with a credit card.
At the end of the month I got my bill and besides the $85 service he charged me $280 more. I called Choice and was told I would get my money back. Your representative even called the tech's number and couldn’t get an answer. I called numerous times over the next year telling me it was beings taken care of. The last time I called the rep said the case I was closed and there was nothing she could do about it. So I am out $280 because you hired an technician who ripped me off. I am not very happy with the service. Of course Themis all happened after I paid for a three year contract.

I called on a Saturday evening and someone was suppose to come on Tuesday. I called the technician and told him if he had a cancellation on Monday would he please call us to fit us in. He called and was able to fit us in on Monday. Our AC was fixed and we are satisfied with our service.

CHW emailed the schedule information with the statement that I was to pay the technician the $75 service fee. Then CHW charged my credit card $75. I called the number on the email which belonged to the contractor. Spoke with him and asked who I was supposed to pay. He said the technician NOT CHW. I then called CHW and ended up speaking to someone with a very heavy accent and difficult to understand. He was very polite. I explained what happened. He said everything was correct. I was to pay $75 service fee like the contract says. I explained AGAIN that CHW had charged my credit card and the technician hadn't even been to my house yet.
I was on the phone for over 1/2 hour trying to resolve this. He kept saying "Please hold the line while I look into this." That happened about 5 times. He FINALLY said they would send a refund. I asked how long that would take and was told 3-5 business days. So I told him "If the refund has not been sent to my cc company by end of day on the 5th day, I will dispute the transaction and let my cc company go after CHW." At that point he became rude but didn't ask me any more questions nor put me on hold again. The refund did get processed on time. I've had this contract for over a year and this is my first claim. I check my accounts every day and thank heaven I do. Wonder how many others this happens to and goes unnoticed???

So far my AC has needed service twice since I became a Choice customer and both times I was able to get a good technician to come out and fix it with minimal hassle. It's nice to be able to send a request and have the problem solved the first time with minimal disruption. I came to Choice after my last warranty company chose to suspend doing business in my area (or with me, I'm not really sure) and I'm happy I did.

Later was contacted by a repair man who came over to my house the same day. He worked on the machine for over an hour and determined that I needed a new motor. He told me he had to order the motor which he stated would take about four days. He contacted me four days later with the motor and installed it same day. I now have a new old washer. We had a washer drain clog, it was assigned to Autumn Air and they reported for the initial repair on 6/7. The technician completed the repair, but once we used the washer for a complete cycle. The clog reappeared; the technician returned to the home and discovered a crack in the pipe. Several days passed with no update. I called Autumn for an update and stated they were awaiting an update from Choice. I called Choice and was informed they had not received information from Autumn. Now, we are on day 13 of this communication, and no resolution reached on the holdup. Finally, I received an answer from Autumn that Choice approved a review of the clog and has a tech lined up to go and take pictures of the pipe, not sure why but will await the feedback. The bottom line, the communication between the Warranty Company and Service Provider can be improved, for the customer to have current updates on the problem.

Total Pro Plumbing=amazing, diagnosed problem and did replacement same day. Prior CHW sent techs who didn’t complete jobs or return calls. CHW closed jobs and failed to send me any notifications, then wanted to argue about it. See yelp posts for additional details. I rated this as a four because it took six days for the technician to come out. And reason for that, I was going to give it a three because being a senior citizen and not having an air I know it’s not the technician's fault but to have to wait that long. I never experienced that before with the service that I had before. I do understand that they have to find the contractors. I do get that but I have never experienced that. The longest I ever had to wait with the company I had before was no more than two days. The technician that did come out had great customer service. I gave him a plus plus plus thumbs up.

I had a clogged shower and toilet water wouldn't build up. I requested but it took them awhile to find a technician. They was in constant contact with me. When they found the technician he did come and fixed both jobs. He was friendly and knew his work. For that I will keep Choice warranty. There was a bit of confusion with the orders, I was emailed only one ticket but the technician had two which wasn't a problem I just wanted to be aware from choice warranty and not from the technician because each job was 85.

Worst experience ever in 5 years. Because of delay in getting anyone here had to buy window unit as my husband had open heart surgery plus I'm 76. Assessment verified at least HVAC replacement. Very dissatisfied with our financial responsibility. I'm regretting recommending my brother, who lives in Florida, to purchase your program (which he did). Choice Home Warranty is the worse warranty anybody could purchase…before them I had First American home warranty. Never had any problems with them. The only reason I change to choice was because they had a 3 years deal that sounds really good and when I spoke to their agent he made sound even better!! Big mistake!! My dryer stopped working. They sent a person that came in Challenger car with no logo of who he worked for, no uniform and when I paid him my deductible of $75 he told me he did not accept checks so I gave him cash but never gave me a receipt for the cash I gave him.
Not only that after he sent his diagnosed of what was wrong with my dryer choice decided not to fix my unit and send me an email letting me know that they will only pay me $300 for it. This is ridiculous. What am I gonna do with $300? People sometimes what sounds good is not the best. Make sure you research before you make a contract with any home warranty.

Tech from Sears Home Appliance was polite and conversive. He did not find a problem at this time. I believe he was honest in his findings. Another company had previously stated our unit would need to be replaced. They stated the coil will be the issue. My only concern was that it was almost 1 week before appointment was scheduled. Hoping IF our unit fails they can come out more quickly

The tech from DVC plumbing was great. Came in and knew exactly what the problem was. Fixed it and was done. CHW was right on top of my claim. Only issue is they need to check with the homeowner before making appts that don't always work. Put us in touch with the tech and we'll set up the apppt.

Do not use them. Customer service is awful. I called to ask questions about my policy and either they transfer me to a recording or they hang up. I submitted a request to ask my questions on their website and still no response. A week later I am still trying to get to speak someone with no luck. So now my request is for a refund. I can't get anyone to speak with to cancel either. I went with them because they came through Consumer Affairs recommendation. Please look at BBB as they have only a B rating and there are legal issues. I have filed a complaint with BBB.

The response to my call to CHW was great. The service guy came by, I paid him the service call $65 and he made a quick observation. He then went out to his truck to call to see if it was going to be covered, He came back and said that this wouldn't be covered but he would fix it for $500+. He said that CHW would get back to me and - crickets -. My call to the 800 number has not been answered either.

I was confused at first, since I just had my first claim with Choice Home Warranty. I used another home warranty company for many years, and they processed claims differently. I received email from CHW the same day after technician left my home, and CHW is replacing my dishwasher. I am pleased I will be receiving a new dishwasher from Lowe’s.

I have not been satisfied with some of the quality of the service providers Choice has sent to my residence. I've issues with the providers not showing up for scheduled appointments and not returning calls. Choice increased my service call fee during my contract period without notification. I wasn't aware of the increase until a service provider was trying to collect the higher amount. I consider this a breach of contract. This was the final straw and I will not be renewing my contract. I will be moving to Old Republic Home Warranty.

Our service tech was very efficient, diagnosed the problem almost immediately and made some good suggestions for ongoing maintenance. However, from the time we called Choice Home Warranty, we were two weeks without our furnace. Fortunately the season allowed us to layer clothing. We would have been in dire straits in the winter.

Yes, he answered all my questions about repairs. That freon is included in the policy, water heater, etc. 75.00 Service fee was explained and what other things are covered. He was very straightforward and explained exactly what is covered in my plan. Also I was given a discount on the monthly fee.

I had leaks in 3 places in my house, the kitchen faucet, the washer water valves and a stain on the ceiling where the upstairs bathroom was leaking from somewhere. He identified a malfunctioning tub faucet as the probable cause of the bathroom leak. The serviceman was polite, had his shoes covered and solved all these problems in a timely manner. The technicians that they have in their network are not great. The technician take more than a week or two to come to fix the issue. So in the hindsight, warranty does not help as you will have to wait for two weeks minimum to get things repaired.

I dropped home shield warranty for Choice warranty. After 2 month with choice. I put a claim on my refrigerator. The repair people came and said the the freezer condenser is out. I ask what is going to happen. They ask me how long I was with the company and when I said 2 month. They said they are not going to cover it. They are right. After 2 months I just dropped them and regret leaving home shield for this company. I will not recommend it to anyone. Trying to a person was hell and on weekends you can't even contact them. I am now looking for another company.

My AC stopped cooling during summer in Texas and I created a claim with Choice Home Warranty hoping it will be handled in a timely manner. To my dismay they schedule an appointment > 10 days out and when I contacted them regarding that they said they can try to find a different network vendor but can't guarantee it will be earlier than the first one when the first one itself was more than 10 days away. In the end I ended up paying out of pocket to get it fixed after waiting for a couple of days as the heat was unbearable. My recommendation is a definite no given my experience with them.

Your customer service needs big improvements. When I first called the man that answered the phone did not even give me a chance to explain the fact that I was not able to speak with anyone, he automatically transferred me. This happened 3 times, then you don't have a choice to speak with anyone and get a call back but that doesn't work as I don't have my phone all the time. Please try to fix this issue.

I have been over a month dealing with a dishwasher claim, after they have ordered the wrong parts because they were “cheaper” and now they want to replace it. Problem is the replacement cost they will approve is only 1/3 of what I paid for my dishwasher. They don’t actually give you enough to replace with “equivalent” options as they say. I would check further into other companies before signing a contract here.

The tech called me almost immediately after I filed my claim. He arrived at my home in 20 minutes or less and fixed my garage door. One of the coils broke and my car was trapped inside. Even before I had got off the phone speaking with him, I had already received my emails that he said I would received as well as his direct phone number in case I would need to speak with him or had any questions. Albert ** quickly and efficiently resolved my gas-fired water heater issue by coming over at 9pm on a weekend night. Hopefully all is solved, but it was a mystery as to why the pilot kept going out. Since he's been here, it has been burning steadily. Dishwasher leak resolved by Johnny and Paul, who came out a day after I filed a claim with Choice Warranty. They quickly diagnosed and solved the problem - a garbage disposal drain plug that hadn't been punched out when my contractor re-plumbed my sink after he had someone put in new countertops. Choice was fast and efficient in getting these technicians out right away, after I filed claims.

I can't believe I still pay you for no help. I have nothing good to say about this company and I'm going to end my subscription. I pay you 87$ a month and the only thing you helped me with was a washing machine. You claim to replace it but it covered almost half of the replacement. Maybe you should check prices before you pay 200$ for a washer. When my central AC took a dump I paid someone 85$ just to step on my property to tell me you wouldn't cover anything. You're a miserable company and should be put out of business. I had plumbing problems that needed four companies to come take a look at what was going on and I had to pay each one 85$. Saving me money?!?! I could have just hired someone to fix the problem for a lot less than the 500$ I had to pay for nothing to be done. You suck!!!

Considering - Choice sent the wrong 1st technician with Flamingo who was awful, they came back with the right technician Omar who actually moved my refrigerator (unlike the other tech,) found the issue and fixed it. So nice to have ice cubes again and be able to buy Talenti Mango sorbet again. Took two times but it got fixed. Better communication is definitely a must.

This company is a scam! I bought a three-year warranty with them and they gave me an extra six months. I have called them about a handful of times in the last 3 yrs and every single time they either got out of the repair or I ended up paying the deductible which was more than the actual fix itself. Just recently, I called them to unclog a toilet at my Short term rental and they scheduled the plumber to come out 8 Days later. I ended up calling my own plumber and fixing it and they refused to give me a reimbursement. Don’t waste time with this company because once they take your money, it’ll be hard to get them to pay for any repairs.

She offered three plans for full coverage and provided pricing that fit my budget. After getting all the details I opted for the 3-year plan to lock in my rate that included a free 6 months beyond the 3-year plan.

Hot water heater has been outside covered for about 18 years. Just finally wearing out. Choice chose not to repair or share in cost to replace. Other than that, I have had Choice out for fridge and wash machine. Great service on those items.

On Tuesday evening, June 11th, my A/C went out in my home. I filed a claim with CHW and received an appt with All Florida Cooling and Heating for Friday June 14th. After assessing my unit, the technician stated that it was my Compressor which was given me the problem. He submitted his report to get approval for the unit to be fixed, however, on yesterday (Sunday June 16th) I received an e-mail stating that I was not covered. Although my unit went out 10 days after my coverage started (which was June 1st), I am being told this is a pre-existing condition, when my unit was working fine on June 1st and I have never had a problem with my Compressor for the 12 years of owning my home, up until this point.
Right now, my wife, kids, and I are living between my mother-in-law and my sister’s house, transferring clothes and other essentials back and forth because we cannot stay in the house due to the heat. I am very upset that we were denied coverage due to a freak occurrence. I currently have it in appeals, and I hope this can issue can be resolved soon. However, my first experience with CHW has left a bad taste in my mouth and a lot to be desired.

It took about 24 hours before Choice Home Warranty was able to assign a contractor to provide service. The technician was scheduled a timeframe for service from 4pm-6pm. The technician didn't provide us an update to arrival, so I called the company at 5:45pm and they informed me the technician's ETA was 30 mins. It took nearly 40 mins for him to arrive.

They have covered some things leaving some ie a water heater still costing me $600 after the call fee and with a major issue like the AC in hot temps of Alabama literally gave me the run around for almost 2 month ending with them texting back to try a 4th company and locked me out of all communications with them. Come to find out they are protected by arbitration which will end up costing even more money. SO SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND SANITY. They may cover here and there but you in the end have no say so or power over the contract YOU paid for.

My first initial experience was not good because the appointment was canceled. I truly felt this would be a pattern considering the season. My technician (William) was a professional in all areas. He arrived as scheduled, he put on shoe covers immediately and went right to work. He explained every aspect of the procedure and was not rushing through the procedure. I was very blessed to have my issues resolved without any long waiting period. To be told I needed to go to warehouse to get part was so much better than it will take 2 weeks to get part. I would feel so much better if he could fix any future repairs. If all technicians are this wonderful I will be your customer for as long as I own my home and will happily refer the company.

We have been without A/C since May 25, 2024. Our tech was not dispatched until June 7th, it was deemed we needed a replacement I made my necessary payment to CHW that day. One week later we still have had no contact by Sears, come to find out our work order was cancelled. Neither CHW nor Sears said they could do anything to remedy the situation. I finally got ahold of a representative at CHW who states they reopened the work order and expedited it but still have no verification that anything is in process. I'm very upset and dissatisfied with the level of customer service received.

Ivan from Brightstar Electric showed up the same day as my call to Choice. Ivan listened to my problem and diagnosed the problems as bad electric sockets on one side of my house. When I accepted his diagnosis Ivan methodically identified and replaced several bad sockets in my living room. Ivan was knowledgeable and communicated well as to the solutions needed.

Called because my ice maker was growling and not making Cubes. A tech arranged a visit and arrived to determine what was causing the issue. He was pleasant and thorough and determined that the flap that keeps household air from entering the ice chute was the cause. I reviewed it with him and sure enough. He will return when the part is available. Altogether I am very satisfied with the handling of my claim and am hopeful that the return trip will resolve my issue. We are disappointed that Choice Home Warranty took so long to complete this claim and that we had to file it twice and pay two co-pays. We had to point out to them where it was covered in the policy. We also could not get a full accounting of the costs for repair and why we had to pay $650 in addition to the two deductibles of $75 each. The technicians they sent were both very good. I would recommend both ISOM and Formula Air.

A plumber from Anytime was dispatched for the service. He was on time (early), fast, and a very nice man. Repairs were completed and remain fixed. He was kind, courteous and professional. He had my dishwasher up and running within 40 minutes. Choice Warranty was fast. Called on the 7th, service date was the 10th, ordered part and came back to finish the job on the 13th. Service fee had to be paid in advance, at the time of your call. Having gas range replaced and offered less than $500. Because they added additional $100 to offer they will only issue e-credit to Lowe’s. Nevada was cold and condescending on the phone and it was basically, "Accept or not as this is all you get." l and if I had read my paperwork from CHW I would know this! Maybe so, but when I mentioned to her that if she was on my side of the phone she wouldn’t be happy either. She actually said, "No I would be fine because I would have read the paperwork"!
I went to Lowe’s and the person in appliances said everyone complains about CHW and how little money is offered and that their only choice in stores is Lowe’s. CHW seems to forget everything is much more expensive than 6 years ago. My air conditioner is from 2006 and I guess they will only offer me $500 to replace and tie my hands on who I purchase the replacement from when it goes out! Also, Nevada said she was emailing my e-credits to me and she lied. I received an email from her stating the E-credits will be available in 30 DAYS!

Then I get an email from Choice Home Warranty denying my claim and I have to submit a claim questions this denial. Every time we've had a tech from Feniv's it's been a 1 and done fix. Always great to deal with, great communication, and great work. I wish they could be sent every time because of how professional and knowledgeable they are, in addition to how well they kept me informed of their ETA, when they were en route, when they were 5 mins out. It was refreshing and left me with high confidence in their work, yet again.
