    I give a five star review. Not for the CHW, but for Melly The Contractors LLC. This company was contracted out by Choice Home Warranty, and they did a superb job. For CHW, I'm not pleased with for the fact that they now take a credit card hold for the payment. Beforehand otherwise they will not send anybody out. My problem with this is not everybody has a credit card or may no longer use the card they have on file. So what do you do? Because the woman was adamant, they will not send anybody out unless they get a credit card hold, that's Choice Home Warranty's, new policy.

    I have been very happy with the response to appliance repairs from the warranty service. I had a recent problem with a dryer, the second time we had service through the warranty company.     AC stopped cooling, was lucky to get someone within 48 hours to fix it. Technician said it was the condenser fan and head.     I called CHW to check on my electrical issue…flickering lights, outlets not working and lights not working. An electrician came out and diagnosed my issue and said my panel needs to be upgraded. CHW never contacted me, but closed out the claim. The same thing started a month later and called to inquire about my first call and they said they closed that claim out and I had to submit another claim. So I had to another $100 for an electrician to come out to diagnose the same issue. He verified it and the next day CHW emailed me to say my claim was denied because it wasn’t from wear and tear! What’s considered normal wear and tear? I’ve lived here since May 2002!! I’m about to cancel this service….I’ve had it several years for what?

    Wish there was an option for negative review. Don't ever buy a warranty from these guys. You will repent for life. This company is a fraud. They systematically conseal facts to deny claims. They vendor they appointed for diagnosis clearly stated in his report that the issue was "normal wear". Still they made up foolish things to deny the claim. Their case managers including the legal team is extremely rude and fraud and deceptive. They called back the vendor on my back and told me that they verbally got the information from vendor that it was a physical "puncture" on the coil. Ironically, A evaporator coil unit is factory concealed with tar compound in a heavy duty metal casing." So as per them, magically someone entered the factory sealed metal box and drilled a hole in the coil. Utter BS. I have all the relevant photos and will sue them.

    Please do not waste your money with Choice Home Warranty. My dryer drum broke. The dryer is worth 1,200. They offer 300 dlls to replace it, or a e gift card at Lowes. They take 30 days to send egift card while the customer waits and waits. Please go to American Home Shields, at least they give you more to replace appliance and it take 2 weeks to get reimbursement.

    Trying to keep the emotion out of this and keep to the facts. Their advertising is misleading in that it does not warn you of all the exclusions and non-covered items. For example, my A/C compressor went. Covered. However the replacement refrigerant, electrical wiring, coil, compressor, and copper are NOT and since you cannot replace one without all the other, I am stuck with a HUGE bill. I should have taken all the money I have been paying for this warranty and put it in a savings account to use for such an emergency and had been better off. This is simply not fair. Additionally, they make it clear they are a warranty company and you have use their vendors. However, they then dump the matter in your hands and don't address any issues - like cancelled appointments, inability to speak with ANYONE other than an AI chatbot. This is simply not fair.

    The tech that came out arrived within the allotted time frame, and he messaged us when he was on the way. He was friendly and very knowledgeable of our appliance. He informed us of how it should be functioning and was able to troubleshoot to find out the root causes of the issues we were experiencing. The warranty company told us the parts were no longer available and the washer needed to be replaced. The amount of money given to us to get a replacement ourselves was not calculated for retail costs, so we aren’t able to actually get a replacement without dishing out money of our own too. This seemed a bit odd to me to say they are replacing something and then not give you enough funds to replace it. I will probably not go with this company again for a home warranty.

    I decided to return to Choice because your service when I first purchased my home was great, but your sales department leaves a little less to be desired. I called today to enroll and to rep started by telling me that my plan would be 594. Then he began to bargain by bringing down the amount by telling me that I couldn't get a plan for over 2000 for 6 years. When I couldn't afford that he then said it could be somewhere around 1800 with an additional discount. When I couldn't afford that it then went to four hundred something for 3 yrs with 3 yrs free. The bottom line is after all of that I still ended up paying 594 for one year and feeling like I was being taken. Because if you could charge me a lower price for a longer period of time I should have been quoted that in the beginning.

So went from a Wednesday to not having anyone set up till Monday when a “tech” got ahold of me to schedule appt for the following Wednesday. Well tech could not make it so set it for Friday. Tech did not fix the whole problem so he came back the following Tuesday. Basically water leaking under the sink is okay to let wait for over a week.     I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone. I had to get my own plumber after waiting for 3 days for your plumber and then you told me you wouldn’t reimburse me for the full amount of the replacement and it was put back EXACTLY like it was to begin with. You down rated the labor and parts that ARE required to connect the tank. I WILL tell anyone that ask me about you to NOT get your ‘warranty’ because what you pay for it doesn’t offset the cost. You might as well save your money and put it back to cover repairs.

    We purchased our warranty with this company and paid in full which gave us an extra year coverage free. We have an older home in Florida on a canal which means that our AC units are hindered by salt air and wind. We have 3 AC units for a large ranch home. Two are fairly new and one very old but a work horse that finally gave out. The Freon line leaked and that was not covered for replacement. Ok fine. We agreed to pay for the new line if they would replace unit because the existing old unit would not work with new environmental refrigerants. They offered us $400!!! We canceled the contract and extremely disappointed. They are not as expected from their reviews.

    Do not sign up these people are liars and thieves. Once they have your money they dispose of you. My contract expired and they were harassing me to renew, I clearly said NO multiple of times and they kept my cc information and was charging me behind my back.     Choice is a SCAM. The sales side offers great service but when there is a problem, the service side is just like any other insurance co. They deny any and all claims.....A/C quit working. Called them for service. They sent a Sears repairman, not in a service vehicle but a pickup and service tech dressed in Levis and tennis shoes. He looked at the unit and said it had a problem but would not be covered but he would call CHOICE. He did and surprisingly they denied the repair. Just a money grab and a SCAM.     I had a Speed Queen stackable washer and dryer that Choice Home Warranty said could not be repaired. The cost of a new Speed Queen stackable washer and dryer is $4600. Choice Home Warranty would only give me $1050.00 toward the purchase of a new stackable washer and dryer. This is totally ridiculous. You can't even find the cheapest of the cheap for $1050.00.     Choice Warranty is a sham - they deny every claim as a matter. So you end up paying $75 for a technician to come out and tell you what the problem is. (I can get a free estimate from any contractor.) Then after the tech tells you what the problem is he/she submits it to Choice (Who they know will deny the claim because they deny every claim. Then you have to pay the contractor yourself. Appeals on items that a objectively covered are denied and the appeal process is a joke. I argued with the representative for choice about a pool plumbing issue that was absolute covered under the contract and I was only able to convince the representative to come up with $100 on a $150 bill. (That's how cheap this company is.)

    I had a very disappointing experience with Clockwise Plumbing during a service call arranged through Choice Home Warranty. A technician who appeared to be very inexperienced arrived and spent approximately 15 minutes looking at a bathroom sink issue. During the visit, he called a colleague and mentioned he did not have the proper tools for the job. Despite the limited troubleshooting, his conclusion was that the entire sink needed to be replaced.

    This diagnosis seemed excessive given the minimal effort to investigate or repair the issue. It did not appear that a serious attempt was made to properly diagnose the problem. After the visit, I called Clockwise Plumbing to discuss the situation and ask for clarification. Unfortunately, the owner refused to take my call. When homeowners rely on a service provider sent through a home warranty company, they expect technicians to arrive prepared with the appropriate tools, perform a thorough evaluation, and stand behind their work. That was not my experience in this case. I hope both Clockwise Plumbing and Choice Home Warranty take steps to improve the quality of service provided to homeowners.

    I have to talk to your plan that covers everything. I had a toilet that wouldn't flush all the way so I called paid my deductible they sent out a technician who barely put a 6 ft clean out in the toilet and because it didn't work he requested to remove the toilet to do a better clean out and they denied it. They said that they covered up to 100 ft and because this particular technician refused to go out a hundred feet they refused to allow them to remove the toilet. I offer to remove it on my own and they said then it would void whatever contract we had. How are you supposed to evaluate if you can't remove the toilet.     I have been with Choice almost 5 years and never filed a claim, so Saturday on the 7th of March my air went out and I filed a claim, tonight is March 10th. It 85 degrees here in SC and no technician has called yet. When I called Choice today they asked if I wanted to pay for it and they reimburse me.. I’m a senior citizen on disability and do not have that kind of money. They say they trying to find a technician in my area, they knew that when they withdraw that payment every month.

    I have been attempting to cancel my home warranty immediately after I purchased it. I am still within the 30 day cancellation Period. I am unable to get somebody to do it for me. Every time I call somebody they send me to a cancellation voice line and nobody calls me back to cancel it. My policy number is **. Please cancel it ASAP.

    Cannot find me a plumber, still waiting. This is not the first time this has happened. Not many service people are interested in working for them. That’s a sad story and I bought 2 5 year contracts!

    Really upset regarding how they carried a service with issues with a sump pump. The technician who diagnosed gave a different reason for failure of pump than Choice ultimately leading in no coverage. Definitely made me feel suspicious of how they carry their business.

    This wasn't a major or costly one but I was impressed at how quickly it was performed. They had to order a part but it was received by them early and was actually installed early! This was much better than I received from another warranty co. a couple years ago. I had left them after they doubled their monthly fee. I hope this one doesn't eventually do that as well. So far, I am very pleased.

    Although the technician who responded indicated to us that our water heater needs to be replaced. It has significant mineral scale build up which is causing violent bumping and knocking, and he indicated that "Failure is imminent". "Choice" listed the report as "no issue found" and closed the ticket. I've asked for a review but none has been forthcoming.

    When putting in a claim, I was unable to understand the person on the phone. Also, the repairperson and the contractor assigned to my job were 1 hr from me; his car broke down, and he could not make the appointment. My pipe is leaking.
