Technician was great. However, case manager was rude and impatient. Offering 246 dollars for a new dishwasher was inadequate. Nowhere can one get a Néw dishwasher for that price. Paid thousands for multi year contract with Choice and boy am I sorry. Case manager hung up on phone in the middle of our talking.
I just finished talking and purchasing your home warranty. The agent who called was very courteous and excellent! He clearly explained the top home warranty, how it’s worked, and what it cost. It was an excellent warranty and my agent was thorough about explaining how it worked. I purchased it and felt I had secured my home and its appliances and systems. Vlad came out and showed up on time. If not a little early which was preferable, was in and out in less than 30 minutes, replaced a 20 amp glass fuse in the microwave and now it’s working again, was very helpful, did an excellent job, friendly and professional.

I had a blower motor circuit board go out and it was replaced and covered by the warranty. Immediately after, a transformer in my A/C compressor went out. The tech was sent right back out thinking it was related to the first issue. When it was diagnosed, the tech had the part on his truck and took care of it on the spot, and it was a covered item too. The Technician was very friendly and professional with useful recommendations. He gave advice for future maintenance that will assist in extending the use and performance of the air conditioning system. The call prior to his arrival was very useful for preparation.
Tim came in and had the issue diagnosed in less than 1 minute. Even though the issue was not covered by Choice we decided to go ahead and have him proceed. Within one hour the air was functioning normally. Tim also provided us with what to do as PM moving forward.
My AC service request was processed and an appointment made with a technician very promptly. An immediate notification was sent that the request had been sent to a local vendor. The technician was very courteous and professional as service was completed in short order.

I submitted a claim to Choice Home Warranty regarding my electric wall oven not cooking frozen dishes completely through without increasing the temperature or cooking the dish longer. CHW sent Prompt Appliance Repair LLC out to make a diagnosis. The technician said, "I needed a panel kit and would submit to CHW." CHW sent me an email that said, "Great news, We have determined the best long-termed solution is to replace your Oven Stove Cooktop."
Reading on in the paragraph it says, "In lieu of replacement, we are offering you Lowe's eGift Cards for $329.00." When they are trying to get your business, they tell you, "If we can't repair it, we will replace it." When you actually put them to the test, it becomes a different story. Ever since Prompt Appliance came out and tinkered with my oven it won't heat up anymore and the cooling fan continuously is running which will most likely increase my electric bill and probably creating another problem. Choice Home Warranty should get their contracted company out to my home to get my oven heating again so I can cook in it and turn off this fan. Remember, the oven was heating where I could cook in it and the fan wasn't running! People think twice before choosing home warranty companies, they aren't what they advertise to be and they are using substandard companies to save money.
Repair went ok. She showed up in a timely manner. She made the repair in a fast time. She knew what the problem was very fast. I don't like Sears repair personnel from past experiences but I was glad she took care of this problem.
The initial call was pleasant, even though I didn’t want it! But the pleasant voice caught my attention and I agreed to listen and the way Cortney ** presented his home warranty plan he got my attention! His knowledge of the plans kept me interested and I’m hard to sell over the phone especially since we had been Burnt twice by other companies! Long story short, we are now in the family of Choice Home Warranty! Very pleased!
My stove would not light the oven and my icemaker was on the kaput. The technician came over and fix both of them. He was on time very courteous and professional. He fix the problem, knew what it was, cleaned up after himself. Put everything back in this place. Thank you very much. Good job.

Complete radio silence. Technician came over 15 days ago for repair and was paid. They rescheduled an appointment to repair today. No one responded nor advise that no one would be coming. My refrigerator is still not functioning and waiting for it to be repaired
They arrived on time, got the work done in a reasonable amount of time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They explained what the problem was and when they were done, they sure they made sure the garage door remote worked before they left.
I just received a call requesting another $65.00 for a new work order. I previously placed a work order from the home service club, (I don't know who this Choice warranty company is). I paid the $65.00 co-pay. While waiting for an appointment for the repairs, (two different technicians never showed up). They were both, no calls, no emails, no shows or no texts, nor did the home service club let me know that neither technician would not be coming. This is a very unusual situation, makes me wonder if HSC called any technicians at all, hmm.
A new problem aroused. Yes, I did call in a new order that occurred while I was waiting for my appointment to be completed. On May 7th, I told the C.S. Rep James, that I felt that I shouldn't have to pay an additional $65.00 co-pay because the home service club hires unreliable technicians. James told me that he could see that I had reported this issue and that I would be getting an email stating that I would be able to hire my own technician and that the home service club, (or Choice warranty or whatever their name is), would reimburse me, (now how would I know that?). The Home Service Club or choice warranty is asking for this additional $65.00, which I don't believe I should have to pay. I had previously asked if I could add this new job to my previous order. I was told that I would not be able to add this new order to my previous order.
After mulling this issue over, I called the home service club in order to verify if what C.S. Rep James told me was in fact correct, before I hired anyone. This morning I spoke with C.S. Rep Guillermo, and he told me that the home service club, or whatever their name is, was, no longer offering that option to their customers, hmm, did James have or just tell me incorrect information? Hmm. I called my financial institution to stop any more ACH debits from my account by the hsc. When and, if the work order is completed, I will be firing them. If hsc does not hold up their end of the contract, I will put them on BLAST, with every social platform that there is, The BBB, and I will see them in court!! Who is this choice warranty company anyway, this is not who I signed up with. This company is playing games. I wouldn't recommend it to another human, dog, cat, bird, rat, skunk, you name it, etc.
The person that we talk to was very informative and made us feel comfortable about our decision to get the home warranty plan that we have. I cannot remember the name of the young man that help us but he was great. Thanks and keep up the good work.
My account manager Simon contacted me nearly instantaneously as I was starting an online application. He was exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable regarding the terms and conditions of your plan. I was appreciative that he offered me a senior's option for future service which ultimately will save me a considerable amount of money.
From start to finish online claim process it was a breeze. Very attentive and Diego called me back just to clarify the process. I was able to file the claim for the Garbage disposal. Even with our past claims, Choice Home Warranty has Always Come Through.
Unfortunately my washing broke today and fortunately I have CHW as my on service provider. The customer representative “Bart” was very helpful and courteous in helping me place a claim. I have been a customer for CHW for over 5 years and I am very happy with the service.

I was scheduled the next day. Provider was right on time, in fact a few minutes early. Saw the problem. Went and got new part. Installed in no time. Was courteous and professional. Took care of issue. No problems. Would recommend them anytime.
Tech came into the house to look at the dishwasher… To determine the odor source. He determined it was not sewer, nor was it electrical. He further stated it is OK for me to use the dishwasher even though he could not put a name to the odor that he smelled I feel confident that he did the best job possible.
I signed up for a home warranty. The next morning I got a call purporting to verify my data. They recited what I had given, then immediately tried to sell me on some other service. I resent cold calls as a waste of my time. I especially resent a company trying to upsale me after I have chosen it for a product or service.

Contractor (both of them) were fine. Choice apparently doesn't have enough vendors in my San Jose area to affect a repair in a timely manner. First one came within a day to evaluate leak but second one (for a second opinion probably because the cost to repair of the first was too "high") was EIGHT days later all the while the leak continued. Ten (10) days later the problem is still unrepaired. Won't be using Choice anymore once annual contract is done.
We had been told that our water heater was leaking and it needed to be replaced to the tune of $3,000. Since we have Choice Home Warranty, we made a claim. Jason from Pike's Peak Mechanical inspected the water heater and said there's no sign of leakage. He was professional, friendly and honest. We expected a different experience and were thoroughly surprised and delighted. Highly recommend.
Mr. James O. was very, very polite and went about his work. His explanation of the problem was clear and precise. I would give Mr. James O. and excellent in ratings. Yes, I would rate Mr. James O. tops. Mr. James O. dressed clean and neat and presented himself in a very professional way. Uniform was neat and clean. Yes, I would recommend Mr. James O. to other customers.
We really appreciated the work of the technician who serviced our claim. He called first thing in the morning to give us an estimate of when he would arrive that afternoon. He asked pertinent questions at that time, to prepare for the visit. He took care of our issue when he was here and was very nice.
I recently made a claim as the HVAC system in my home would not turn on. Network HVAC came out and stated that my wire was blown because it was pinched between drywall and a beam. This analysis puzzled me because unless the “specialist” had X-Ray vision and could see through the wall to make this determination there was no way to officially determine this to be the cause of why my systems would not turn on. So, because of this “evaluation,” CHOICE stated that my repairs could not be covered under the terms of wear-and-tear. As you can imagine this was upsetting to me and so I appealed the decision, this is where I discovered that CHOICE is not such an upstanding company.
My appeal was scheduled for Monday, May 1st at 1:30 PM, which I picked as it was my lunch period. Needless to say, a CHOICE representative Tamika **, called me at 1:00 pm just to inform me that she had the final say in the appeal and she was not approving the repairs to my HVAC system. Because I was in my class with students and this call came in 30 minutes prior to my scheduled time I attempted to express my concerns in a timely fashion. I even requested a second opinion based on my concerns. Tamika was crass and unwilling to hear my concerns, she informed me that I could sue, but as far as she was concerned this case was closed. As consumers we must be intentional in how we allow companies to treat us, we give our money and they treat us poorly.
If this reaches just one person, please be aware that CHOICE is not a fair company and they do not stand by their word. I suggest looking into another home warranty company and doing extensive research and looking at reviews. Look at how others express how they are treated by the company, this is important because as patrons we work hard every day to earn a living and we can’t waste our hard-earned dollars for companies that don’t appreciate our business. I also suggest that you be careful because I had to search through many engines, just to leave a review on their site, that is a telling sign that the company only wants to report positive experiences, and that is an enormous red flag. Please be mindful, we don’t have money to waste. ZERO STARS IS MY ACTUAL RATING!
The Tech you sent was very good. I am totally pleased with him. But CHW I am very surprised and disappointed. If I am ever sent a survey I will acknowledge that on the survey. Tech found thermostat was not operating and needed replacement. CHW authorized him to replace it with new up to $80. The one that was broken was Pro1 T701I. No idea of cost or availability. I do know it was WiFi, as are 60 other devices in my home. Why is CHW do replacing broken with equal or better parts? CHW is approving only the part that degrades that system. Will be hard for me ever answer a survey with good results for that reason. Customers should never be forced to use parts that do not have equal or better options. Other than that the repair was very professional, quick and great. Your tight-fisted decision ruined that final outcome.
I prepaid a 4 year CW contract and have neve used the warranty. I bought this to cover my AC if it went out. it did and I made a claim and you denied it. You said you don't cover corrosion in coils. I have now spoken with 4 HVAC people that said ALL AC units will eventually have corrosion as that is part of the wearing process. I will neve use you again and I am an internet influencer and have over 80,000 followers. Everyone of them is going to know what a bad company your are.
He was very polite and professional.. Checked the stove and determined could not be fixed.. Contacted the company and problem was resolved. He respected the issues I voiced concerns about my stove and the oven issues and tried to put me at ease.
The company who came out to replace the garage door opener…motor is no good…have yet to hear back from Choice about what is covered. When I call and speak to someone, I am told it is covered at 100%. When the garage door company first came out, they said CHW barely covered anything. CHW wants your business but trying to get someone at CHW to give you an answer is nonexistent.
The garbage disposal was leaking at the bottom. Called Choice Home Warranty to get it fixed. It was an ease to call them and they scheduled the repair right away. The technician came on time and repaired the problem professionally.
Fast and Easy to submit a claim, excellent service and a quick response. Made claim on Tuesday March 9 and received an email that it was assigned a repair shop and they will be at my residence on Wednesday March 10, can't ask for better service than that.
The reason for only four stars is the customer service person I talked to was very confusing in the information he gave me to information I was asking for. I was trying to determine if there was an existing subscription to your services which was suggested by the information I invited.
Two technicians from Prodigy, plumbing company did an excellent job. They were professional and came to the appointment in a timely manner. We are satisfied with the services they provided. We would recommend their services to others in the future. They have been to our home on three occasions to repair the tube for the showerhead and the toilets.
We’ve had the same technician come out for two separate issues. He’s friendly, arrived on time, professional and knowledgeable. Turn around time for repair was super quick and our stove was fixed. Both experiences with this company has been great. Definitely recommend VIP Appliance!!

Horrible experience, we submitted a claim for our non working refrigerator last Wednesday and it been a week and no decision has been made. On what they are going to do or cover. We already had a technician come out Friday to look at it and he told them what it was going to take to fix it. And now we are waiting on another different technician to come out to reevaluate the refrigerator. So more waiting ensues.
I put in a claim for my ceiling fan and I was contacted by Choice the next day to get it fixed. I have used them in the past for a plumbing issue and for my central air conditioner and the work is always done quickly and with no problems. I’m glad I have the warranty on my home.
The man was great. Fixed it and had no problems. Would have him back to fix my AC anytime. He called and said be there in an hour and right on time he was. He had to go back to his shop to get the parts and he came right back like he said he would and installed them.
Choice Home Warranty responded within hours of filing our claim. The technician arrived and repaired our appliance to our satisfaction within two days. Choice Home Warranty has also covered us for our refrigerator and clothes washer; they have saved the day for us!
I bought and paid for, upfront, a long term home warranty, and paid extra for my ice maker, pool and spa. When the ice maker went, it literally took an act of congress to get them to even send a tech out, they kept insisting I did not have the coverage. Then, just 4 days after their warranty expired, their replacement ice maker died. I went thru the same challenges again... When I had problems with the spa, they sent out an untrained, unlicensed, random person doing business in the pool industry who wrote up a fallacious report about the pool being installed contrary to code, even tho I kept inspection papers in a lock box nearby and showed them to her, the pool and spa had been there over 30 years and nothing she wrote about in her report came close to addressing the problem. Additionally, she caused further damage to my pool, for which I had to sue her. I filed a complaint against her with FL-DBPR.
I won my case, but CHW, still refused to pay the claim. Finally, when my a/c failed, they sent out an unlicensed technician, who lied about doing a freon test, for which he charged me $150. When another HVAC tech came out, he took pictures showing me no freon test was ever done by CHW's so called carefully screened technician, Gio ** of GT Air Conditioning and that upon checking with FL-DBPR, I learned that there were complaints filed against Gio ** in 2015 and 2016 for his work defective, unlicensed HVAC work with CHW, and he still was not licensed.
CHW had sent me a denial letter for the a/c claim before Gio ** came off the roof citing the reason for the denial as the moment he poured in the freon into the unit, he leaked out completely. When I appealed, with pictures showing no freon had ever been poured in, CHW never responded. My account number was **. The claim number was **. They had a consumer advocate named Mercedes ** contact me and offer me $400 to remove my bad reviews. She claimed the unlicensed HVAC tech stated in his report that the a/c unit was low on freon. Since I had a licensed HVAC tech check it, take pictures and write a report, I was able to refute his report. They are the worst. There is no sense in contracting with them when you are going to get stuck paying for repairs anyway.
A/C ER Heating and Air- Professional, on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. Emmanuel's customer service is exceptional! My air conditioning was fixed that day- no waiting for parts to come in. Trustworthy from the start and I highly recommend Emmanuel and his company!
It took a week for you to find a tech, then I waited a week for him to show, which he didn't! You then rescheduled with the same tech and had to wait another week for him to show, which he didn't! Finally, after threatening to cancel my policy, I was reassigned to a new tech, which was one that I've dealt with before. I only waited two days for him to show and he was fast, friendly, and professional! Questioning why you didn't go with them in the first place?? Still debating on whether to renew or not when the time comes.
I called at 8:30 PM to report an air-conditioning problem. Within 1/2 hour I had a message that someone would be at my home the following day. Man arrived at 10AM and fixed the problem. OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Certainly my CHOICE!
I've placed two claims and in both cases, the revision process has been extremely slow. I'm worried of what could happen if I have a critical problem/failure in my house that need urgent repair but I have to wait days or week for you to respond.
I have always been skeptical of home insurance companies, but current economic pressures pushed me towards taking a chance on a home insurance plan. After researching the major home warranty companies, it came down to my comfort level with the sales representative that I spoke with. I chose Choice Home Warranty. 6 months later I filed my first claim and hoped for the best. I filed my claim on 5/3/23 and the repair was completed on 5/5/23. Two days exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with the outcome of this claim. A standard has been established and I fully expect that future claims will be handled in this very professional and timely manner. I called to have a tech come to my house to repair a washer that has recently repaired less than three weeks ago. I asked for a different company because I am not satisfied with the service that this provider gave.
I was offered a very low replacement amount for our washer, but had to accept because CHW would not increase the amount. Only after speaking with three representatives, and accepting the payout, was I informed that it would be ANOTHER 30 DAYS before we would receive an eGift card from Lowe's (the only store we could use) so still have to spend more money to go to a laundromat for the next month! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Kitchen faucet leaking and needed replacing. They replaced it and stopped the leak in at least thirty minutes to an hour. They also cleaned up their mess and I am so very grateful to Choice Home Warranty for selecting this company to do the repair.

Waited 2 days with no response for our HVAC issue. We called and the claim department gave authorization to seek out our own technician. Waited 3 more days for Choice to make an appointment. By which we were tired of waiting. So we hired based on local reviews. He was great. 10/10 North American HVAC. But then was told after he came and we paid. The Choice warranty would NOT REIMBURSE us, which we did not satisfied with.
I was very pleased with the work Juan did for us. It appears that he was able to find the source of our leaks and was able to provide a solution. We're waiting for the silicone sealant to cure before testing the seals. We will need a contractor to repair the holes in our bathroom ceiling that were made to gain access to the necessary pipes & fittings. We hoping they can replace the missing sheetrock with an access panel for future access to the plumbing.
We have had warranty plans in the past and have chosen this one as the best for us. We are in our 80’s and this is the best program for us. My husband is very knowledgeable about electricity and plumbing. But it is not so easy to be getting up and down anymore. We looked at other programs and this seems financially the best. The Company has a good reputation for service.
Last yr I experienced a lot unprofessionalism all around. Had someone check my air conditioner…first person I received never got back, second company had an attitude because they had every intention on not showing up until I called toward the end of appt time which was kind of late. Showed up with an attitude, changed a part. When asked if he checked the coolant he said no and left. When I called Home choice because it was cooling but not like it usually does. They told me I needed to pay another fee. So now it is leaking in the hallway. Hopefully this transaction will be better. Had a courteous customer rep THIS time. Even the ones I encountered last yr were argumentative. Almost canceled this warranty.

I just purchased Choice Home Warranty today. I look to using their services when time comes. The person I talked to was very knowledgeable and professional. I joined this company because I was disappointed in the company I was with. At least Choice Home Warranty doesn’t make you have a contract clause.
Tech arrived in timely manner and resolved our problem quickly. He was very thorough and made sure the water softener was working properly before he left. Very satisfied. He also instructed me on how to reset unit. He advised me if unit malfunctioned after he left to just call him and he would come back.
Jones Overhead Door came out and the garage door started working after they pulled it up. My husband and I had to manually close it Saturday night. He said nothing could be repaired at this time but it was not up to code. We replaced the old one. We were out the $85.00 fee plus the price of the overhead door. I hope it doesn't work that way every time we call. That was the reason we changed to your company.

The company that they send it to me (B&B Comfort Master) to address the issue has a great crew, Bryan ** take care of the issue, he was very respectful with us and the property, he explain us the problem and fix it.
So far my experience has been disappointment with 3 of the 4 claims I have presented:
2. A call for a clogged sink took almost 4 days for a reply-- I ended up doing the work myself, and;
3. The same tech who came to fix my dryer door apparently only changed part of the latch and the fix only lasted 3-4 months before I had to call back to have same issue resolved. Fortunately, the Sears tech was very helpful and professional--but I ended up paying 2 service calls for the same issue with the same dryer.
Great technician. Knew exactly what to do to fix issues. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. Was able to diagnose problem and direct without making a mess or any damages to house. I would highly recommend using this company again for any electrical issue needs you may have.
I'd recommend technician Ron from A&E Factory Services ANY day. Trustworthy and professional. Knew troubleshooting skills and got 'er done! Another positive is that he called approximately 30 minutes prior to show up time. Where I didn't appreciate the hours given to me, 7am - 6pm, Ron, at least, called to let me know he was on his way.
We replaced what was a top-of-the-line washing machine. Your max offer was $547. I talked to a case manager and they said my washing machine did not match your top-tier level and would not pay more. I asked them to show me where I can purchase any front-load washing machine for this amount. I just went online and searched and there is not one below the cost of $698. The one I am purchasing with a huge discount is $749. It has features like the one I am replacing. I understand that I may need to add money to get nice features, but I don't think I should have to add money to purchase the cheapest front-load washing machine available. The max amount you offer to replace an appliance should be at least equal to the price of the cheapest one your customer can purchase.
The customer representative is very courteous and respectful. He is very knowledgeable about the job that he is representing. I can feel at ease now that I have a company that will back me up in case I have troubles at home.
Spoke to representative today to get pricing on Home Warranty for my home and representative was very nice and courteous. Did everything he could to get me the price I was offered previously and got a supervisor to approve it. I am happy so far with all I have experienced.
Updated on 05/17/2023: A tech initially came out and replaced a blown fuse. The air handler stopped working again the next day. Tech returned several days later and concluded the 19-yr old blower motor needed replacement. Choice home warranty refused to approve the expenditures because the blower motor was dirty. I spoke with a Case Manager who refused to spend anything to offset the cost of the new blower motor. Refused to acknowledge that the blower motor age could have contributed to its demise.
Original Review: Initial response was fine - we were assigned a new vendor (Air It Cool) because we had had terrible experiences previously with the originally assigned vendor (Air Zone). The tech arrived on Friday May 5 and repaired wires and a blown fuse. It worked through Friday but was NOT working Saturday morning. We called Air It Cool Saturday, left a message, and called again Monday morning. They are sending someone over tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Hopefully they will determine if the fuse blew again, and why, and fix the source of the problem..
The plumber worked with our schedule and arrived on-time and set right to work. Multiple problems were identified and repaired. He cleaned up after himself and left everything neat and orderly. Excellent job. I would definitely use this contractor again.
CHW is a great company and offers a product at a great price. They do need to update their web page to better serve existing customers. I needed to cancel a claim and could not online. I also could not verify the claim had been canceled. I was able to contact CHW by phone to cancel the service call.
Bruce ** was awesome to work with but I didn't like getting calls and emails from other sales people while trying to make a decision. There was one lady that was very pushy that almost kept me from going with Choice Home Warranty.
Difficult understanding person who took claim. Background noisy made it more difficult to hear. I would think a plumbing problem would get faster service than three days..please try to get someone here sooner. When scheduling work why are late evening hours given? Mine is until 8pm.
This man was kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He listened to my past experiences and seemed understanding. I would give him a TEN for the way he presented himself and made me comfortable and I believed him. So you all do a good job and take care of your customers. I am sure he will.
I tried to turn on my AC May 6 and nothing happened. I called Choice Home Warranty (for the first time ever), They were great and set up an appointment time for me. Today, May 8, the most professional and courteous AC repairmen arrived at my home, They checked out the situation and very quickly knew the problem I had. A very important part of my central air and heating unit didn't work anymore. They had the needed part in their truck, got it, installed it and now I am sitting in a very cool and comfortable home. I am so glad I trusted and bought into Choice Home Warranty. Orlando the Technician and Alex the Technician in Training did a fabulous job representing their Company O&N Cooling and Heating. Choice Home for me sent the best. Thank You.
The Service tech said the service fee was $75, and then the invoice said $65. My mistake for not looking at the invoice before I wrote out the check but would be helpful if the tech was made aware of the service fee before arriving at the appointment.
Waited days for technician to come to repair my washer. When he came on May 2, 2023 he diagnosed the problem and ordered parts. It is now May 8 and parts are not all here. No one has been able to tell me when the parts will arrive but I was given an estimated delivery date of May 15. Technician cannot be rescheduled until parts arrive. I have offered to buy parts if I could be reimbursed but no one has been able to give approval for this. Waiting this long for repair is totally unacceptable.
I rather speak with someone over the phone when I'm handling business. I read the last email about waiting on a response from a case worker within 24 hours. My A/C is down for repairs. I hope to hear from someone soon.

Hector of Robert & Sons AC & Heating repaired my AC by finding the issue right away. It was a simple issue, but the AC would not turn on. Then I agreed to clean the condenser on the outside AC unit. He did that quickly & efficiently and showed pictures of before & after. I would call then again for sure.
Great representative, straight forward without much of the high- pressure sales associated with Home Warranty companies. I appreciated his honesty. I shopped many of the companies and this appears to be the best available rate. The proof will be in the service when needed!
The rep was enthusiastically helpful and got the upsell…I called for additional info and I received answers on everything requested. We’ve used AHS and we’re very disappointed and hope this Choice was right. If your service is as good as your supervisor sales rep I think we’re in good hands.
Tech was early, called ahead, was very friendly, knew what he was doing and had problem fix in 20 mins. Have used C.H.W. Before. Always had good outcome on the system that had to be fixed, and the techs that they sent out were very fast, about doing the job and getting it right the first time.
Thanks for the quick response on my request, techician made contact with me next day and appointment was scheduled. He was very flexible with my schedule, as soon as he arrived and checked the unit, he provided me with clear summary about the issue, he worked on it in an hour or so and had my AC providing cool air again.
Within hours of putting in my claim, we were contacted with an appointment the next day. Then right on time, Courtney came out for an issue with our oven. He was courteous, and professional and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He had to order the part, so hopefully the fix for our issue goes as smoothly!
Technician resolved the problem. The problem was due to the suction vacuum created in the drain line that has caused the water not able to be released to the drain pipe. The solution was to add a drain opening port to release the vacuum but keep the condensate flow path open.
Peter was very responsive. He identified the problem and was quick to diagnose the issue, order the part and set up a return appointment. He was very knowledgeable. I hope you can come back and re-service the machine when he gets the new part ordered for us.
Keisha was very professional and I enjoyed speaking with her. I received numerous calls from Choice and I asked to be taken off of the list because I was getting calls 2 or 3 times a day, so I finally joined Choice. Thank you.
The technician that came out was very knowledgeable about the dishwasher and exactly what would need to be done to resolve the problem that my dishwasher was having. He order parts and returned as soon as they were in to repair my dishwasher problem.
When this Technician came out he was very informative and knew what he was talking about. He explained everything in detail of what was wrong and what he would do to correct problem. Have already recommended his company to family.
Technician was on time and fixed my issue in minutes. Very nice guy. Professional. Shared his knowledge with me and how to prevent the problem in the future. Only fault was Choice Home took a week to assign a technician.
The technician who finally showed up was very good. My lower rating is because we did not have heat or AC for 17 days during a change of seasons when we needed both. I was repeatedly told that they were "working diligently" in finding a technician. The technicians I talked to in my area do not want anything to do with Choice. I finally contacted BBB and surprisingly, a technician was quickly assigned all the way from NJ....over 100 miles away. If parts would have needed to be approved by Choice, this episode would have gone at least another 10 days. Way too long for 76 year old people to wait for heat.
I wrote to Choice last weekend about my Microwave not working. I did get notice that someone would be coming on Thursday afternoon. I could not be home at that time. I called and left a message with the phone, did not talk to a person. I was texted to leave a message, I did but did not get a response. I called Choice and they told me that they too called and left a message. I called Choice the next day and still did not get a response from the technician. On Thursday I did get a text saying they were coming. I was finally able to get them to respond when I texted that I need to reschedule. They came on Friday afternoon. I was told that they could not fix it and I would be informed the next day what would happen next. I did not get any response from Choice. I am still waiting to be told what will happen with my microwave. I have been without a microwave for a week now.
I called Home Warranty for an electrician to service a kitchen outlet that stopped working that also made my microwave stop and an interior light dimmer switch with a short. The process of opening a service request was fast and easy. An electrician emailed within hours for a same day appointment, he called to confirm. Service was effective and fast. This was my first time using my home wary and I am very pleased.
I’m waiting for parts but so far this repairman has been very good. However the first repair person that came stated would get in touch with you and order parts then that never happened. My suggestion is never use MsMicrowave. Sears so far is better.
I contacted CHW with a plumbing issue. After 24 hours no plumber in my area had picked up the job. The immediately offered me the reimbursement plan. So far so good. Not sure how it will turn out but I sent in my invoice. Positive that they won’t let me down.
We placed our claim four days ago and are still waiting to hear from a service provider. The communication from Choice is good, but we would like the service to get completed. We received an offer to arrange for our own service provider, however, this is not the service we signed-on for when we purchased our plan.
I was without hot water for an entire week with a family of 6. Not an easy task. Difficulty in finding techs seems to be a common theme. The company that finally came did a great job and that raised your score to 2 starts. I would give zero stars for the service to date from Choice. Will probably switch back to American Home Shield with done.
I am truly impress on how my repair request handled very professional and no hassle at all. I was given an option to have it repair and Choice Warranty will reimbursed me, but with my busy schedule I didn’t have time to call any company but Choice Home Warranty found one for me and my repair was scheduled in no time. The technician and the company that was chosen for me is great. I’m very pleased with the repair he did. Technician very professional and kind. I have a great 1st time repair experience. Kudos to Choice. Made my life less stressful.
So far my experience has been good and I haven't had any issues. When I have filed claims in the past, Choice has provided a technician to fix the problem right away and I haven't had any issues. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to a friend.
The technician was very knowledgeable. However I called Choice on a Friday morning to report that my only refrigerator was not working and they said they couldn’t get anyone here until the following Friday. I expected better service from this company. A full week is too long to go with no refrigerator.
Based on previous experience with CHW, I expected a great response from the CHW phone rep. When I was told I would not see a plumber for 8 days, I explained that I needed a faster response (within a day or two). I couldn't believe it when he responded, "we don't supply emergency service!" To me, emergency service would be a response in hours the same day. I was concerned when I saw that the repair technician was from a distance, but this did not end up being a problem. Fortunately, after contacting the technician, he was able to arrange his schedule to come in two days. Once he arrived, he quickly detected the problem and resolved in short order.

I would highly recommend Thomas at 1st Garage Door, who came to my home to repair my garage door opener, He was extremely knowledgeable (explained what was broken and how he was going to fix the issue). I submitted the repair order on Friday afternoon, Thomas was here Saturday @8:17am.
I tried to use my warranty that states “All parts are covered” however they only partially covered my repair and want me to pay the difference. That is not why I got the warranty. If I could cancel without penalty I would!! Such a ripoff!
Had a little difficulty communicating presenting request for furnace repair. Person understood my request...that was great. Furnace stop working, it appears that condensation is not draining because it fills the drain pipe that must control the heating process...I give up what can be so aggravating than appliance break down so what else do you want.
Garbage disposal was leaking at the bottom and they replaced the whole thing. Also my ice machine wasn’t working and they ordered the part. I love this service. Gives me peace of mind that I don’t have to go bankrupt and pay a Plumber or electrician 100 Hr for labor plus parts!
Telephone representative was professional. Very knowledgeable of product. Explained everything thoroughly. Will recommend to my neighbors. This policy covers all major appliances and has a low trip charge. Currently all my appliances are in good shape. I bought this policy for peace of mind. In the future if anything goes wrong I won’t worry about repairs.
I had contemplated becoming a “new” client of this business because of their spa coverage BUT changed my mind AFTER I was grossly misled as to the amount that would be charged to my credit card. NOT at any time was I informed that $3,150.00 would be charged to my credit card and I NEVER authorized this charge!! This amount was never mentioned!!
I was appalled when I received an email from Choice indicating that my cc had been charged that amount for a 7-year plan!! I immediately spoke with the representative who charged my credit card (when I received an email showing charge), and he apologized and transferred me to a Resolutions Manager who was extremely rude, talked over me, very patronizing, referred to me as “sweetie”, etc.; and continued to tell me they would have to review the call before she can discuss a refund which would take 15–30 days. I felt the conversation, quote, and information was ALL intentionally misleading!! This type misrepresentation and victimization needs to stop!! I am highly disappointed in Choice Home Warranty!!
When I took out my warranty was told it would replace whatever needed to be done but didn't say you would pay the whole amount. I think you are misleading in your product. In past when you scheduled work contractor didn't know about it and said this happens all the time. Am hopeful things will improve.
I put a call in because my AC unit wasn’t cooling. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He determined my thermostat was bad, replaced it and now we are cool over here. It did take 48 hours before a technician came. Fortunately for me it’s May.
I spoke with Anna and she was so professional and made the process easy and she asked questions on my needs and was not pushy to explain any additional program. I will recommend Choice to all that ask me about Choice and their warranty program.
The technician was extremely knowledgeable and had the replacement part for my microwave in his car. He found the problem, replaced the part, reassembled the unit, checked it out, and was gone in less than an hour. I was amazed.

The Choice Technician arrived at the appointed time. His office had called ahead to let me know that he was on his way to my home. He was very friendly and courteous. He introduced himself as "Joe". Joe was dressed appropriately in a shirt that identified him as an employee of the plumbing company I had been told would be servicing my claim. The van he drove was also clearly marked.. I showed him into the kitchen and he immediately went to work examining my frozen garbage disposal. He tried several methods to free the disposal, but none worked. He then informed me that the disposal would have to be replaced. He said he would have to submit a request for replacement and that I would be contacted by Choice within forty-eight hours by phone or email.
The technician was wonderful! The problem was dealing with CHW. We eventually got a little $ out of them but it was a battle! The poor guy hadn’t dealt with home warranty before and I really felt sorry for him. It wasn’t his fault that I had to spend so much out of pocket!
I have plumbing issue where it seems like the main drain is clogged and water is flowing back from basement toilet when running water upstairs. Put claim in Sunday with Choice Warranty and technician didn't come out until Friday. So had to deal with that until Friday. When technician came out he snaked the drain to find out possible break in the main line. Called choice to figure out next steps but had to wait for company with the technician to submit the report. So I had to call a plumbing company to come out and they came out the same day to snake it again to make sure and they are sending a camera guy on Monday.
Your Sales Rep, Zachary, that I gave my business to, was very good, but so was Amy. However, I do not understand nor appreciate, Choice having a dozen sales reps contact me. That's abusive. I seriously thought about not having anything to do with Choice because of the company's abusive tactics. However, not the Rep's fault. But the name Choice is a negative to me now.
Appointment was set for 7 days later with ANGEL A/C Cancelled their visit. Dishwasher was run over weekend and did not leak. A plastic piece was found on the floor of the Dishwasher. We put it back in place - and no more leak. Cancelled Tuesday May 2 visit by text message to Angel A/C.
Everything in my house from my airconditioner/heater unit to my dishwasher is now covered. Now I can rest easily with that in mind. The staff was very informative and helpful. Everything was explained well. I will definitely tell all of my friends and family about this wonderful coverage!
My experience was great! The service person arrived in a timely manner, and was very pleasant. He solved my problem immediately! He even checked out the slow drainage in my bathroom tub which was not a part of my claim. Everything was handled very professionally. I will call them again, if needed!
Tracy ** was fantastic and did a very good job. She was accommodating in every way and answered every question we had. She has a great disposition and was pleasant to talk to. Nothing else to really comment on. Hopefully the home warranty service is as good as she was.
Since the refrigerator is too expensive to repair, Choice warranty will give me a certain amount of money to purchase a new refrigerator at Lowe’s. They will send me gift cards and I will be able to purchase a new fridge of my choice.

Luke, your representative, was very helpful, and walked me through all different options which would be best for my household. I advised Luke of my loyalty of 20+ years to a competitor, and found out that loyalty does not matter. My last home service was the last straw. Their fee $100 call out fee, and to replace a $15 part was additional $100. I soon found out band aid fixes were their way to get the job done. I just do not understand where customer service has gone. So, that’s when I spoke with Luke, and he reassured me that we would be treated differently. I’ve done a lot of research in who I wanted to have as my home warranty, and you guys are highly rated through consumer reports, so taking a leap of faith.
Our Washing machine shows an error code and would not fill with water but would not wash clothes, nor drain water; we were informed by technician that the motor had went out! After the motor was replaced the unit is working great!
Refrigerator could not be repaired. Technician at company CHW set up was not scheduled until a week after fridge stopped. He was a "no show" & business would never answer phone or return messages. But, he did sent report to CHW immediately after 2nd appt. CHW made a low=ball offer. Then had to wait days to meet with claims specialist. Offer was more but was told could be up to 30 days to get-e-gift card. By then, it will have been 8 weeks with no fridge.. Unacceptable and frustrating..
Useless humans on the phones. Talked to no fewer than 5 people. NONE of them were able to carry on a conversations. Too busy following the script, to sell, or set appointment or whatever. NO ONE COULD JUST TALK AND HELP SOLVE OR UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING. NO ONE. Put down the script, flow chart, troubleshooting guide whatever. LISTEN TO AND TALK WITH THE OTHER PERSON ON THE CALL. Have a rational intelligent conversation. I knew going in on things that the "home warranty" was going to be worthless and it is. Thankfully it was paid for by the seller of the house. I never would have bought nor will I ever buy or recommend one. THEY ARE WORTHLESS.
Choice Home Warranty was very easy to deal with and Michael was very knowledgeable in explaining my options and getting me the best home warranty plan for my needs. I moved from a different home warranty company and saved a lot of money with choice home warranty.
The technician was excellent, and it seems he did a great job as the door works well now. We were glad our policy covered most of the repair but were surprised and disappointed that the policy did not cover the one wheel in the track that needed to be replaced. We had to pay an extra $25 on top of the expected $65 copay for that (the gear etc was covered by the policy). The technician and that company were great as he did a good job, was very pleasant and polite, and they called 30 min. before arrival which was very nice.
I am so pleased with every interaction and claim I have made with and through Choice. I really didn't have much hope in home warranties when I bought my policy, I only got it because it was a requirement when I closed on my home. I started with the minimum 1 year, but was so happy with it that I decided to renew for 3 years, and never plan on ever canceling as long as I own a home. They are quick to find capable and friendly local technicians to fix what is going on in a timely manner. I have only ever had an issue with one Tech not showing up, and Choice was quick to help me find a new one the next day. They have been reliable and helpful, and I regularly recommend them to friends.
I paid my $85 dollars, your company didn't paid a thing. You wouldn't ok the unplugging. I was lucky that the plumber didn't charge me for the extra charge that ran over $85 dollars. What up with that? If you're not going to honor my policy, then why do take $55 dollars a month from me. We need to talk.
You make me find my own technician and won't pay his rate, and offer me $70 to buy a fan? Total **. Decent fan costs at least 125 or more. What can you buy for 70? Crap this is my house not the barn.. You expect me to go out of pocket 300 for covered repair. When we file for arbitration, you will pay me but only after I pay 200 filing fee and you pay 300 fee. WHY!
It is with joy and respect that the technicians who came to fix my washer was highly professional in repairing my washer. Not only did they repair my washer but gave us tips on how to be more of aware of operating our washer. Again, we greatly thank those great technicians.

We live in Florida and it gets very hot this time of the year. When our air-conditioner stopped cooling our home, I called Choice Home Warranty and file a claim for service. It took a few days for the issue to be acknowledged but the technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and had the issue resolved very quickly. The website was easy to navigate. I will be recommending this to anyone who buys a home.
Choice wanted a second opinion, I paid the first tech for the service call. Choice order a second opinion and I had to pay another service call. When this repair is over I will be canceling my contract with choice. They was week in between calls so they had plenty of time to make sure I was not charge again. They do not honor what program they are selling you.

I was impressed with Surge's willing to explain the difference between insurance and warranty. Then check out the name of my insurance. Explained the VIP Program of 9 years or even could do 3 years charges to keep same prices for different years.
Easy to file claim and received follow-up email of claim submission (submitted on Sunday evening). There was a delay in identifying a repair technician and scheduling a date for visit (1 week later). However, I was able to contact the Fix-it Operations center and was able to schedule an appt for Thursday vice Sunday. Awaiting CHW response to a faulty safety switch replacement. Once repair is complete, would update experience.
I had to get a replacement appliance, but they only awarded such a small amount that I can't afford it. They were very difficult to get thru to an agent and when I did, there were a lot of apologies and "if you read your policy" answers. I do like the 65 dollar pay instead of 100.
Very professional and courtesy. Took care of my problem in a timely manner. I was asked to take a picture of the information of my refrigerator and text it to them. I did as asked and he came with the parts that he needed. Took care of the repairs in one visit.
We searched the internet and found that Choice was rated #1 in Home Warranty coverage. We felt the rate was fair and Maurice was very knowledgeable and helpful and we feel confident knowing if we have problems our home is covered.
The technician who came out was outstanding. He made a recommendation to replace our appliance. Choice offered a payment of less than a third of a comparable unit after the diagnostic fee and labor. I had to make an appointment to speak with a representative to attempt to negotiate the offer. I was told there would not be any negations and their offer was final. I argued for my total 15 minutes of allotted time that I only wanted a comparable unit and the offer of $191.00 did not cover the replacement cost of $329.00 plus the labor. It seemed as if I was complaining to a brick rather than another person. I've had this home warranty for 2 years and I have never made a claim, I will not have it for a third year. I did not want to write a review, but I have received 6 emails about describing about my experience so there you go!
I called to get information about coverage and pricing for a home warranty for my home. I had a home warranty that expired 4/20 and needed to get a replacement. Charlie was very helpful in answering all my questions about the coverages, limits, exclusions, policy term limits. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding about my concerns. I choose to purchase a policy and paid for 3 year term.
Dishwasher was holding water. Call Choice and they sent someone out. Was able to get to me on Tuesday instead of Friday. The guy was on time and got to work on dishwasher right away. Water draining and dishwasher is working great!
Your team like to reject every claim, rather than look at your covered policy. We talk to one agent they say covered. Talk to another agent, they say not covered.
Everything is subjective. We do not understand why the system is so subjective.
Super Appliance Repair came today and he replaced a piece for the water flow. Thankfully, he had the piece needed and just installed it with no apparent problems. All good right now, I'm doing a load of laundry and hoping all goes well! The Gentleman came within the expected time frame and was done within 30 some minutes! He was very courteous and didn't leave a mess! Thanks!
I am so disappointed with this company. I get a home warranty hoping that when one of my home appliance is broken, you will cover the expenses for repair. But that’s not what happen. I have been a long time customer of your company, but I’m not satisfied with the way you handle things. It’s always not covered by the warranty.
Very nice young man installed the new door opener. Very courteous and very helpful in explaining the problem and then correcting the situation. On time. He did phone about his arrival time to assess the problem and upon returning to install. Would recommend.
