United Appliance Repair came out in a couple days after I submitted me claim. He was very professional. He found the problem and fixed it. He told me he had to charge me another 85 dollars to fix my tub. The same company and I had to pay twice in one day. I'm very disappointed in Choice Warranty.

The service technician that serviced our refrigerator/freezer was friendly and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it in less than an hour. Our ice maker is working wonderfully now! We highly recommend Choice Home Warranty and Electrolux service the technicians.

The company that was sent out was very nice, explained the issue clearly and fixed the problem. Rafco heating and air. The date they sent to come do the repairs was unacceptable but I called them and they worked me in quickly. Arrived on time. Brad **, my local accountant manager/rep, has been great to work with. He has gone over and beyond to help me.

Service is great. Contractor came before the appointment and did a clean job. Professional approach. Had a wonderful attitude and answer questions that I had on my mind. Would refer Choice warranty to my friends. He removed the part and stated he had to order a replacement and he will be to install such.

The technician was on time and professional. Work was completed in a timely manner. The work area was clean after the job was done. I hope that in the future if I need Choice Home Warranty, everything will be just as good. In the past I have had some bad experiences with technicians. Experience was very, very good. Choice Home Warranty got me an appointment within a couple of days of my opening the ticket and Walter at Lake Las Vegas Pools came on the date specified and had that heater running in less than 5 minutes, plus, he took the time to show me some things I did not know.

All I've done so far was place an order. It was easy and quick. Last time, was also easy. Choice has done a good job recommending companies that do a good job. They fix things so they don't have to be called back. I expect nothing less this time.

I’m exhausted trying to get Choice Home Warranty (CHW) to honor their commitment. I had identical claims that were 19 months apart. The 1st one they covered as advertised. The 2nd one they denied. Currently, in a dispute getting the 2nd claim covered. I completely detest having to negotiate to obtain services as advertised.

Had to press Home Choice very hard for addition of a job item to the claim. The additional job item was added the same day as the first two job items. All three jobs items were plumbing issues. OSP Plumbing did an exceptional job fixing all three issues. The technician was very personable, knowledgeable and explained what he had done.

I have been CHW member for a long time and will continue with their service for the rest of my life. Every time a claim is submitted CHW acts upon the claim assigning a professional technician the very same day. Superb service. Fast and very professional! If they cannot fix it they will replace it.

I purchased this home warranty from “Choice Home Warranty NJ” on 4th of July. Upon asking many questions about the coverage policy I was assured that their warranty covers all AC unit replacements and everything that is listed on the website. They sent me a policy but not the coverage details after I had paid them the full amount of $547.50.tax 34.77
On August 17th our AC unit stopped working and I submitted a request to choice home warranty to send out a technician. They took forever to send a technician who worked for a third party company called “Blue management”. This technician refused to admit that the AC unit was not cooling. The thermostat clearly showed the temperature in the house which was at 87 degree’s despite the AC temp being set at 70 or lower. He kept on lowering the temperature but there was no cool air coming from the vents.
After a good 30 minutes of arguing with him he finally admitted that there was a less GAS in the condenser unit. He had to call his manager to confirm that with him over the phone. He did not make any efforts to fix the issue and charged me $75 more on the spot for the visit. I paid cash and he could not even give me a receipt for it. The technician then told me he will submit a claim with choice home warranty and that I should wait for a call from them. Well more days go by and I hear absolutely no updates from any of them on the status of the claim.
When I checked on my account CHW website show STATES: "Complete”. When I call they said your Policy class E5 not cover this fault. I ended up calling choice home warranty and come to find out that they had resolved the claim on their end. It is now September 12th and I have called and spoken to multiple people from both companies and have yet to receive any updates or someone to come fix the issue. This company is total look like scam. Please save your money and don’t get scammed like we did. I am now out of $600+ and no AC until I find someone else and pay more to get it fixed. I will be canceling my policy with Choice home warranty.

Had a referral almost as soon as I reported problem to CHOICE and got off the telephone. Technician came promptly (within one hour of phoned in problem) and handled problem. Same company had been referred in other instances previously, and they are excellent. Very, very happy with CHOICE. Excellent service!!

The service process for this claim was so promptly and easy. AC broke down and I went online. Submitted a claim. Shortly after received email confirmed and assigned and scheduled a repair service technician. Came on time and did the repair. AC back to work. Can't ask for a better provider. Thanks.

Called within a few minutes of my entering data for my information online and Joe was very helpful in his explanation of the options and starting the coverage with discount for being a Veteran and being seniors. We looked into this with another firm and this firm was much better at helping us get started and we were told that they use participating vendors already in place with their firm. The other firm did not.

Jack arrived Sunday afternoon; he requested that we change from the previous day to Sunday. The change was fine. He first checked the ceiling above the frig; water had been running out from under the frig onto the kitchen floor. He next checked the pipes and shutoff spigot for the upstairs bathroom. This was the culprit. He put in a new gasket on the cold water spigot and the problem was solved. He was a very diligent young man and I would certainly recommend him.

The gentleman I talked with was very professional, friendly, and knew what he was talking about. Because of his great customer service I upgraded to the Senior Plan. I was extremely happy with my contact with him and his active engagement with me and even when I was on pause as he consulted with his manager.

Choice processed my claim and set up the appt for repair within minutes! The gentleman named James was beyond responsive! He texted me with an appt within mins and when the time was inconvenient he gave me a set time that worked out great for my schedule. He knew what the problem was after he needed to take out my dryer drum and he was very knowledgeable because my dryer is in excellent shape at 35 yrs old. Granted it is a top of the line Maytag and he had the part, thank goodness on his truck!! I was very happy with his service and Choice warranty.

My service was done by Sears home services? That was a pleasant surprise? William my tech was outstanding/ Ordered all the needed parts and was here the day after they arrived and finished the repair. All in all a great experience! So happy we have the Sears option. Very much trust them to do a great job!

My request to Choice for having my HVAC system repaired resulted in services being scheduled for a week later. When I complained, to Choice, I did not receive another response from Sears Repair or another alternate as was promised and expected. After a couple more days, I then contacted another HVAC service group which I already have a Contract Maintenance program with for years who responded and the repair would have required the replacement of a failed compressor. Economic decision was made to replace entire system including cooling and heating coils.

Smooth transaction. The appointment was accepted. Thank God our son was able to be at the house for the appointment on a weekday. We work Monday-Friday. As a consumer I don't think it's fair we have miss work, use our vacation time and also pay for a service. This time it worked out.

Great guy, talented, arrived on time and fixed the issue. He made the fixture better (better part) than the original hose bib. I needed a couple of 'off plan/claim' issue, and for an extra fee he fixed the drains in no time.

Our refrigerator was making noise, the guy came in two days to look at it and had to order parts, he called two days later, said he had parts and would like to install them. Everything works great. The whole process only took about a week and we are very happy

I have a fairly serious plumbing problem...I made the claim, I got assigned to a company that could only schedule me 10 days out...I decided to cancel claim and maybe draw another company....I drew the same company again - I assume they accept the Choice jobs before someone else grabs them. My previous experience with a plumber was taken care of in 3 days...did a great job.. This last experience is unacceptable

The sales rep was super pushy and aggressive. I only wanted one year of coverage and kept getting upcharge. Even though I said no multiple times on prepaying for a fixed number of years upfront he was so rude about it. At one point, I wanted to not even go thru with the transaction because he was being so pushy and then I see the annual charge already processed. I never had a sour experience like that before.

Made appointment for my home Dryer 9.11.2024. Between 1 and 5 they say it was a no show. Call Choice Home Warranty back. They put in a Claim to them about no show. But you gonna a send them back out to my Home. Heck no. I am done with Choice home warranty. You hear me Done. Don't get these guys for your HOME WARRANTY.

Blum Management Inc worked at my house the Plumber was professional, efficient and knowledgeable. After the routine steps he took the initiative and did an extra step which quickly diagnose and fixed the plumbing issue we were experiencing. He was also friendly and courteous, making the entire experience pleasant. I would definitely recommend him for any plumbing needs.

Everything went well except the plumber forgot to power it up. It was already late so I just called him up the next day and he came fixed it. We'll find out how quick Choice will issue the replacement cost (I opted for the out of pocket option).....that would be the real test. If it comes in quickly, then another star will be added to the rating.

Response to my claim was quick. GE was the repair company. Mal was the technician. Mal was excellent. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He also gave me additional information about the care of the refrigerator. Mal spent extra time to make sure I understood what had happened to cause the problem and how to prevent it from happening again. Mal called back later in the day to make sure the freezer was still working.

I knew I should have saved my money from the get-go. The technician could not fix our stove after ordering what he thought was the right part. Weeks later they came back and claimed a falsehood about our stove which then allows then to deny our claim. The escalation process is a joke, they just say we are in violation of the contract, no second opinion, no support, no nothing.

I called to inquire about Home warranty plans and spoke to a young lady, which reviewed plans and coverages for my home and I purchased 2 home warranties for each of my homes which plans most accommodate my home coverage needs. Only paid part of cost. This happened with previous claims. I have always had to pay my fee plus a large portion of the cost. Your advertising has led me to believe that having the home warranty policy will insure that the system is covered. That’s how it id written in the contract. This is covered for all the systems.

I had a leak with a garbage disposal. That was already installed here when I purchased my home some years ago. I was told it was not professionally installed. It was not covered under the warranty. I had to pay the $65 service fee. I had to spend money out of my pocket. That cost me $250 but I no longer have a leak that was the most important thing for me.

Not satisfied with commitment from your team. Whoever I talked with was not professional. It was like he was reading from a script and would not listen to what I had to say. Like he was rude and inconsiderate about what we had to say. I would not someone like that representing my company in that type of manner. I thought when I read your services that it said if it wasn’t repairable that you would replace it with a new unit. Not just offer partial payment on what the unit is worth. Our GE microwave that was more than 10 years old stopped working. Called HCW and they got it fixed. The technician came after a week time. If possible, I would have preferred an immediate appointment. However, the technician was friendly and fixed the issues within the same day. Thanks Guys!

Very professional and prompt at resolving claim issues. Initially my claims were assigned to Sears which is subcontracted by A&E. The worst experience ever with that company. In both occasions they sent their technicians and collected the portion of Fees I was responsible for. Never followed up nor they fixed the issues. After contacting Home Choice Warranty and explaining the unpleasant experience with Sears contractors, Home Choice immediately reassigned a different contractor and the issues were resolved immediately. Thank you Home Choice for your superb customer care. 5 stars and strongly recommend.

The technician was able to direct my attention to the probable cause of the malfunction over the phone without the need for an in-person visit. It was a simple repair that called to mind something I had forgotten about. This freed up my time and his, which was mutually satisfying.

Your company sent us a repair person, and he was unable to repair our problem, as he said he does not work on boilers, he said he would call you back to have you get the proper service person. We will wait to hear from you with another service person.

I honestly wish I'd never bought this warranty. We waited over 2 weeks (in 90+ degree heat) to have an AC technician come out and replace a capacitor. The technician was wonderful but CHW doesn't pay them enough to make your customers a priority so you get put on the back burner. It would have been better for us to have put that money back for repairs. We could have gotten someone out MUCH quicker. You have a very dissatisfied customer and your call center and supervisors are a joke.

I must say the experience that I have the technician who came to the house to fix refrigerator was exceptional. Though he was late arriving, he communicated that to me, it was very conscientious.. My low rating was result of the fact that claim was denied for unspecified reasons, and when I contacted to discuss, the agent I spoke with was unprofessional, demeaning, unhelpful and would not give me valid reasons as to why the claim was denied. He essentially blamed me for submitting the claim on the portal and not calling to submit my claim over the phone. I will work to appeal this and am hopeful that we will get this issue resolved.

The technician that responded to my claim showed me where the problem was and explained what was required to fix the problem. After calling HCW to report his findings and required action to repair the leaking toilet he was advised that some of the.repair was considered an upgrade and the home owner would be responsible to pay the amount not covered by HCW.
The technician was finally told by HCW that $68.30 would not be covered. The technician advised me that he had done this same repair 3 times the day before and HCW had approved the repair and covered the entire cost. I needed my toilet to work as I have my daughter and 3 grandkids visiting this week. I told the technician that I would call HCW but to complete the repair and I paid the $68.30. I called HCW to speak to a rep. It could never get a live person to talk about this problem. Later I did receive an email advising that I would be responsible for the $68.30. I have been a faithful and loyal client for almost 10 years and have even referred others. If this is what to expect I will not sign up for another 5 year period and not refer anyone else

Since August of 2021 we have been paying $916.81/yr for (almost) nothing! During this time we have made 6 claims, paid 6 $85 fees, and were denied coverage on 5 of those claims. We are ending our relationship with Choice Home Warranty and will be working with our lawyer to recoup our money paid for this worthless "service." DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Choice acted quickly contacting service for appointment. Choice also text me to follow up. Sears Service kept me updated and gave information how to track my assigned technician. The day of appointment I was texted by the technician of time of his arrival. I was impress with the whole process.

This is also a bad warranty company. I left American Home Shield after 12 years of being with them. They are so expensive now so I went to Choice Home Warranty because I read some good reviews. Their price is really inexpensive but their customer service is horrible, they sent out a person to check my gas burner which I only had my stove for almost 4 years and barely use it. The technician told me it is due to wear and tear so the won’t fix my stove. I called Kitchen Aid and they told me how to clean it, so it wasn’t my metal burner. I wrote to Choice and have not even gotten an email back stating they are looking into this bogus appliance company.
Now my air conditioner is making very loud noise, they set me up and appoint. 5 days later, I didn’t work and waited to the company to come. I received an email from Choice stating they will be here from 11:00 to 3:00 pm. Now it is 3:15 pm and no one showed up. I finally got to the air conditioning company and they said they never got a confirmation from them to set up an appointment. NO ONE SHOWED UP! Now I have to wait another two days and lose out on another days pay of work and in this horrible heat. The lack of communication from Choice is horrible, no phone calls telling no one is coming. I paid for 3 years of this crap! Be aware then they will blame on wear and tear on your appliance and won’t pay for it!

I’m yet to hear from Choice warranty on the coverage on the pool heater. The service technician came out quite quickly. Now I’m waiting for choice warranty to respond on the part that needs to be replaced! It’s my first time using choice warranty. Didn’t realize they take this long to respond on the replacement part!!!!

The second plumber did an excellent job of testing his first "drain-pipe clog-removal" of 100 feet. When the "test" revealed the clog-presence was still a problem, he did the "clog-snake of 100 feet" on a different drain-line.... and ran a test again. Success!! The washing machine finally drained without overflowing onto the basement floor. The second plumber was great.

Choice accepted or approved my claim for stove repair. Technician came out. Said had to order parts. Two months have gone by, I have called Customer Service and all I am told is still waiting for parts and they won't move forward and have called and emailed subcontractor assigned by Choice and told the same thing. Meanwhile, I am disabled and cannot stand for more than 2 or 3 minutes and have burned many meals on unregulated stove burners. Also, hard wired smoke alarms started randomly beeping and my claim for electrical help was denied as not covered because smoke alarms.

Not sure why you reached out to me as I just cancelled my contract. I kept hoping things could be different, but EVERY time there is just one small thing that causes a declined submission, or requires you to jump through hoops and deal with multiple people over and over again. The straw that broke the camel's back in this case was a dishwasher issue, which I paid the service fee only to find out the issue was with the garbage disposal....how would I have known THAT? THEN it couldn't be handled by that service tech, I had to submit a new claim and pay another $75 fee.... REALLY? Spend your money elsewhere.

I put in a claim for a toilet repair and it was approved and dispatched to a tech. Tech got here and was informed by Choice that it was not approved. I had to pay out of pocket a total of $357.34. Tech tried for approval numerous times. If it was not to be approved why would Choice dispatch and then the vendor disassembled my toilet leaving me with no choice but to pay out of pocket.

The technician who came out to repair my dryer was excellent customer service, this is my second time using my home warranty. Both appts was schedule the very next day. The service fee of $75 is good, it save you so much money in the warranty cover a lot that some home warranties companies don’t cover.

This is the most unscrupulous company that I've ever been associated with. They have absolutely no interest in being of service. I have filed three major claims over a 2-3 years time frame that I was totally dissatisfied with the outcome. #1 garage door opener, they did not repair or replace because the motherboard had burned out so they said the damage was not from wear and tear. #2 my oven went out and they sent someone to repair but that repairman made the situation worse because the oven would make an explosion sound when igniting. They sent someone else which said it could not be repaired so Choice gave me a $300 buyout instead of replacing. I am not sure what they thought I could replace either this amount. #3 on July 27 I submitted another claim for the refrigerator and it was determined it could not be repaired so this time instead of replacing the unit it was a buyout amount of $496.
I disagreed with amount and they assigned a case a manager which did nothing. I was told by case manager it would take about 30 days to receive check so I had to purchase refrigerator out my pocket. I called weekly for status updates and each time told that it had been approved and processed in which I should receive on it before September 5, 2024. Due to the dissatisfaction of service on August 27, I called to cancel service because I could no longer pay them monthly with the services that they provide. To date I still have not received the payment because they said I cancelled my service. This was preexisting and had nothing to do with me cancelling service. They are a ripoff.

Platinum Repair was assigned to complete my repair. The original date to do repair was in 5 days. That was unacceptable to me since we were in a heat wave and my house was 90 degrees. Choice suggested I call Platinum to get an earlier repair date. It is not easy to talk to someone at Platinum. The call goes on hold for approx 20 minutes and then someone comes on saying please hold and another 10 minutes goes by.
When I actually got to speak to someone everything was wonderful. They were able to move my appointment up. I received a 4 hour window for arrival. I received a text and phone call that my technician was 25 minutes away. When Ivan arrived he assessed the issue, went to his truck and replaced the part quickly and was complete in about 20 minutes. He did a great job. Other than the difficulty in calling the company the rest was exceptional

The technician was very professional and polite and communicated with us. Choice on the other hand is difficult to speak with, takes too long to assign a technician, doesn't answer the phone calls, passes you on to another person who can't help you and at the end of the long and frustrating process, offers half of what it cost to replace your machine or appliance. Go figure, not the best customer service company by far! I would be ashamed to work for Choice!

My tenants had a significant HVAC leak. The service company rescheduled our appointment three times! Initially arriving on a Thursday, but pushing back to Monday! And then was late for the appointment by almost an hour. The problem was simple to find and resolve, but the delay increased the long term damage to my flooring and caused my tenant to lose days at work. Not happy at all.

My first call about washing machine, I was given a new part which did not fix the problem and the technician knew it was going to work. The second technician came out and took the part and I later received a message I would get a new washer. I am now out 200.00. I am going to be given Lowe’s gift cards of 343.00. There is no way that amount will get me a new washing machine. I have to go pick it out, pay delivery fees, installation and take away. I have never been satisfied with any of your services. Let’s not forget the monthly fee. I would like to speak to someone but can never reach anyone. I would like someone to call me.

The main issue I have is that the ceiling fan we have, the motor is making whining / howling noise and creating excess heat when it is run. Choice does not want to replace fan until it totally burns out, which risks electrical- safety issues. Roughly $200 to replace. I am being allowed $75 for the fan. When I pay $65 technician fee doesn't show much benefit.

The plumber was shown the water damage and he found the problem after some investigating that included getting on the roof of the house and using a water hose to recreate the problem. To my satisfaction, he assessed that it was not a plumbing leak but a roof leak that cause the damage.

I did research after calling your company back in August. I read some of the referrals and a friend of mine referred me to your company. I left the signing up in September. Yesterday was good. At first I was going to just take a monthly payment, but then when I said that a friend referred me, the sales person had told me my friend took a fantastic Offer so I signed up for the 42 months and I saved quite a lot. Just excellent! Trophy Plumbing did a great job. Efficient. Hard working. Sized up the problem, got to work and did the job! Didn't get his name but he was respectful and fixed our problem. I would definitely recommend Trophy Plumbing in the future. Note: please work on your authorization process as that took much longer than the actual job itself. Poor kid spent an hour getting permission to do the job.

CW decided they could not fix my refrigerator (after a week of waiting for a technician, so you said it would be replaced. 15 years ago I paid 1,999 for it and was first offered a 900 gift card. That was raised to 1,100 but then was told it would be 30 days before I received the Lowe’s gift card. I don’t know how you expect someone to go 30 days without a refrigerator. Also, the Labor Day sales will be over and what I can afford for new refrigerator will not be anywhere close to what I had. The gift card should have been emailed to me immediately.

It has taken weeks to have a repair person come look at my broken microwave. The communication is difficult because there is no phone number to call to speak with someone about it. The repair company sent a part to my home address not having looked at or discussed the problem with me. They did it based on photos I sent them of the problem. Finally when the service person shows up, she says it's not the right part and it is not fixable. Then that afternoon, I get a message from Choice Warranty saying my repair is not covered.

The worst! Had a warranty with this company a year ago at that time they didn't not have any LG repair/service companies. They just contacted me and stated they now have many more repair options so I signed up again. They did give me my plan rate from the prior year but needed to fill out a new claim. The claim people stated it's a 30-day wait and because it needed repair they would not pay for it. But would send one of their techs I would have to pay and they would reimburse me at a prorated amount. I read many reviews where they don't pay anything. They will string you along for your monthly premium with no resolution for the real issue.

With other services I’ve had in the past, the technician did what was needed and then asked for the service fee. I don’t know if this standard procedure but it made feel like I was a crook!

Our family has had about 5 to 6 experiences with Choice Home Warranty. The company is excellent regarding having the technicians show up at your home. Some of the technicians do an excellent job, and some actually had to get help from someone in their shop. But in all cases, CHW makes sure your problem is corrected or repaired.

I received a phone call from a rep. of the company. Said great service, fast response... I received neither from the company ... About 3 months ago my power went out. I checked the breaker, its amp ... Have a short somewhere. Called. After 2 weeks I called back to hear they gave me a appointment with another company who could not service me for a week ... They never called nor did the company for a follow up. To date no reply to my e mail .. I hope this is not a common thing .. I understand things happen, fall through the crack, misplaced, The company they referred was bad. What about the follow up ... Problem still there and they keep getting paid ... Lucky for me I've been on assignment the last 5 + months... Back home today. To date my experience has been very frustrating and unsatisfactory. I experienced a leaking under sink hot water heater and had a technician come out and inform me that it needed to be replaced. He informed Choice and they have rejected the claim citing section CO as the basis of their denial. Unfortunately, that section doesn't exist in my contract and the customer service representative that I contacted admitted to me that the paragraph doesn't exist. I currently have an appeal pending but am quite disturbed that the basis for denial is a non-existent section. This doesn't appear to be a upright or honest company, but perhaps the appeal process will elucidate the validity of their denial or clarify their need to honor their warranty program.

This is a horrible company. We bought a new home, the seller included a Choice Home Warranty as part of the purchase. A few weeks in we had a built in microwave fail. The cost of replacement was $1,200.00. The warranty said they would cover built in microwaves. They initially offered $400, which we rejected. Choice came back with $800, which we also rejected. These offers were insults. We finally had to go to arbitration and settled with them there for more than $800 but less than the cost of replacement.
Additionally, Choice said they would cover the cost of an ADT alarm system. Our system was installed in April, it is now December and we still have not been reimbursed for the system. Our contact at Choice has also gone silent, looks like this isn't going to happen either. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.

I had two problems that needed to be repaired. Your app would only allow me to enter one of them. Finally I was able to talk to a human being and explained that I had two problems and she ensured that she would manually add my 2nd problem to my work order and this would eliminate me having to submit 2 claims because they were both plumbing problems. When repairman arrived his w/o only mentioned one repair. I'm totally confused.

CHW is great. They fixed everything. I had 3 faucets replaced, a garbage disposal, replaced, ice maker fixed twice, washing machine fixed twice, dryer fixed. Clog drain fixed, my AC unit needed to be upgraded. They paid half and I paid half. I'm staying with them. My payments are $85.00 a month but it's worth it.

Had trouble with one room of the house not cooling as much as it should. Would be 78 while thermostat set to 68. Original repairmen never showed up from sears. Every month they were on time to take $129 dollars out of my account but when it came time for them to take care of claims they would always have a problem getting contractors to come out or something else. Finally I had enough when they sent two different contractors to my home for the same thing and I had to pay $86 dollars twice in one month and they still denied my claim after having to pay a extra $172 dollars

I have been with this company for years. My payments are made on time but, it takes a while for them to find someone to come out to fix the issues. Each technician that has been out has been awesome, very knowledgeable about what they are doing. The company web-site has quite a few issues. It's hard to sign in if you have more than one account. It takes forever to receive your voucher.

For 5 months I have had technicians come out and try to fix my leaking refrigerator finally saying in May they would order parts to replace broken ones. It's mid-September and I'm still being told all parts are not in and they don't know when parts will be shipped. I Told Choice today September 7th I will wait until Monday for resolution and if that doesn't happen I will get a lawyer. I hope resolution comes and I hope no-one else has to endure the mental stress I have endured all these months from a leaking refrigerator, constantly putting towels in to soak up water and constantly being given the runaround from Choice. I wouldn't wish this for anyone considering a home warranty. I will let you know if Choice makes the Right Choice on Monday.

I have been under an extended warranty policy with this company for over three years. They are actually my fifth vendor I have contracted with, to provide these services. I signed up with them because I am a native of NJ and this company is based in Edison NJ. I also viewed them favorably because of their former pitch man "George Forman." They are very receptive to getting you the assistance but some of the companies do take a while to get back to you. I think the fee for service is too high, but for the most part, these are break-fix contracts. Most of the work is to fix stuff and there are delays if additional parts are needed.

Inconvenienced and delayed service repair even after telling front line person that partner was ill. Gave notice of no air upon returning from vacation on Monday night, service performed Thursday. The technician spoke limited English which made it very hard to communicate. We had 2 claims and he said he was to do both. After completing the first claim he asked for $75. We asked him if it would be another $75 for the second and he stated no. When he finished the second he asked for a second $75- we said he had told us there would be only one charge. He said could not order the needed part unless we paid him the 2nd $75. In your coverage brochure it says there "MULTIPLE DEDUCTIBLES MAY APPLY." So we were misled when he told us only one deductible. This resulted in a very unfavorable experience with Vincent Appliance Repair service who was representing your Warranty Company.

If I could give zero stars I would. I had 2 valves replaced in my home and they cut a hole in my wall to replace them. They left the hole in the wall and now want another $100 deductible to send someone out to repair my wall that they created. Not to mention the plumbing company turned off the wrong water valves and I had water everywhere and in the common wall to my dining room. I already paid $100 for the valves. The CHW is persuasive to get your money. They only resolve the essential problem and to the minimum and not trying to resume what you had. They change the parts with Builder-Grade parts and materials. They do not observe what you have got in the first place. They are not really responsive during very critical times (when you are in cold weather when the heating system is broken, for instance). When something happens, they try to find anybody in the area and not just the best experts in the area. You have to be persistent to make them proceed the job. They do not take the responsibility when the third company do wrong. The annual contract will be renewed on monthly basis and without sending you any notice.

I was surprised at how quickly the appointment was set up. In fact, The original appointment was 5 days out from my claim. Contractor was the Energizer Bunny....He had no assistant to run from water meter to home and ran back and forth dozens of times == Checked EVERY source of water in the house and exterior. The contractors they sent always asked for their $65 fee upfront. They would write the evaluation in such a way that would cause the company to deny my project even though it was covered. I always had to fight with reps to get serviced. I was so glad when my contract expired. I asked AI for the top home warranty companies, but they are not even on the list. Never again!

I have filed several claims, I am satisfied with all except the decision to deny my damaged stove, broken glass top & 2 eyes not working. The Rep stated some about claim denied due to Physical Damage, which is the reason for my claim, the rear burner blew with a loud pop, which cracked the glass top...i.e...Causing visible physical damage. THE DAMAGE WAS NOT FROM ABUSE NOR MISUSE, WHICH WAS THE INITIAL REASON DENIED, until I stated that the visible physical damage was secondary damage due to the rear burner making a loud popping noise which cracked the glass, that eventually spreader. Requesting that my stove glass top damage claim be elevated up, reviewed by the Claims Rep's supervisor & I speak to them personally about this claim!

The next day the repair was completed satisfactorily and by good technicians but I did not like not being notified no one would keep appointment set by the vendor not me! Easy to purchase. Horrid. Don’t waste your money. They will replace things maybe but if it’s done it’s cheapest junk. They cover 200$ you cover 2000$. Worthless. The turnaround time is weeks for someone to even look at something. It says you pay 85$ copay. Then they send someone out eventually. They then list everything as non covered. IF they do cover something it’s being replaced with the cheapest junk possible. It’s not a similar HP. It’s not a sized correct for your home. It’s the smallest generic garbage possible. They don’t list uncovered until it’s time to pony up the dough. Then everything is not covered.
You can’t get alternate quotes. You can’t get your own tech. Sewage line broke? Wait for 3-4 days with your house smelling like raw sewage til they can get someone to come out and diagnose it and pray they can fix it same day. Garbage disposal? Downgrade. May as well have kept a broken one. They do the same work. No refunds. If you cancel service no refund. You'd do better burning the money.

Worst insurance company. The way they lied to me on every single step. Customer service agent are not trained at all to explain what does policy cover. Claim department or case manager specialist, the worst people. So rude, so unprofessional, very hostile. I guess their job is to save company's money and rip customers off. But Choice stated the problem was not covered by warranty and I don't understand why it was not, I had to pay the 75.00 fee with no results, problem was not fixed because choice said it was not covered. I called Choice Home Warranty because my brother-in-law recommended the company. It was so easy to contact the company online. As soon as I submitted a online request I received a phone call based on the number I submitted. It only took a few seconds. Seriously. I asked many questions and was given an answer that I could understand. I would recommend them to anyone. All of my appliances will be covered as well as my septic. Washer would not finish spinning cycle stopped at 12 minutes. Technician found part needed replaced. He was very knowledgeable and helpful but scheduling to come back over two weeks out. Need my washer sooner than that. But the frustrating part was that at first he couldn't get the piece off and to break and get to it would have cost ME $92!!! Not my fault if part was hard to remove but luckily after he tried it again got it off. Not happy with Choice Warranty where you only conveniently cover part of the work. My daughter is having a plumbing issue and had to have a hole cut in her ceiling to get to the pipes and now claim dry wall not covered, when it is in the contract that it is covered. Why pay for this warranty if you are picking and choosing what's covered.

When I signed up for the warranty I was reassured that it covered broken or worn out appliances or systems. I put a ticket in for a repair, it took four days for someone to show up. The technician said he would submit the claim. A week later I received a email saying it was rejected. After many calls I was given a person I could escalate my claim. Between the two managers no resolution was agree upon. They kept saying, "We don’t cover the damage, but we will do you a favor and give you $200 towards your bill." A favor!! This should of been covered! Plus the plumber they sent out has has his license suspended many of times. Reviews said he won’t return calls or complete the work. Do not buy a warranty from Choice. They try to bully you into accepting their offers instead of repairing them.

Phoenix Electric responded quickly and did the repair. However, the next day the fan did not work. I called them and they agreed to come back out. Unfortunately, the time he could make it wasn't good for us. He promised to come out on Friday or, at the latest, Monday.

JAS Appliance Repair, came out yesterday and diagnosed the problem with are HVAC system, which was blowing warm air, and then they returned today with a approval, to repair my unit, with today's forecast, of 100, and upper 90's for the next 2 days, their service was 100%. I am trying to keep positive on Choice Home Warranty keeping their promise to repair my Central AC unit. Several Technicians have diagnosed the motor needs to be replaced. There are two areas of disappointment. First and most prevalent is that a technician is not always readily available. There are times when waiting is not an issue but other times when expediency is needed. Second area of disappointment is that the sales department may make promises that are not valid. For example, a couple of my repairs in the past were not covered items but I was assured that the new coverage would have included these items. I am highly suspect that this is the case but I won't know because the items are in working condition at this time. Specifically, the spring mechanism over the garage door, and the AC system.

Had a great experience signing up with Leo **. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and answered our questions. We did complete an inquiry online, and the only thing I would suggest is a less aggressive campaign from the sales team. We received multiple calls, texts, and I had several voicemails. I was in the middle of a family gathering and needed to discuss the warranty in my own timing. It honestly made me question viability--the company seemed desperate.

It started out a little rough, but Choice resolved the issue. All components that needed replaced were replaced. Technician that came out was new to the program but went out of his way to fix the problems. He came out on Labor Day and tried to repair but no parts available on holiday. Contacted CHW with issue on garage door opener. The appointment was set for Tuesday. Life happens and the technician missed the appointment. Made a new appointment for the next day. Technician quickly diagnosed the issue. He said parts should be arrive in a couple of days. CHW later sends email stating my repair appointment is two weeks away! This delay is unacceptable. Also first email back from CHW after filing the claim it was stated that I was due a free service call for this issue. CHW next email setting the appointment time then says I will need to pay the customary fee ($65). I paid the fee but please don’t give contradicting information.

Great job in figuring out my problem where Sears was out twice and blamed it on plumber. Plumber came out and said, "No. It’s the dishwasher." I’m glad the problem was diagnosed. Dishwasher has been down since the end of June. I would be wary of Sears coming to your home in my opinion.

On time, respectful, found problem, coming back 9/19 to fix. I had the same problem with water in April, technician didn’t fix it properly. He steamed the back plate which made it work for about a week, but began to stick again. Over the next few months the water started slowly to decrease in pressure, then icemaker stopped making ice.

On Friday I called about my refrigerator not working at all. Appointment was not made till Wednesday. On Tuesday I called GE and they were able to come a day earlier. I still don't know why I had to wait so long for the refrigerator to be repaired. This is about food and most of it had to be thrown out. Would have been nice if you had someone come and fix it on the weekend. I realize this was a holiday and you probably did not want to pay holiday rates for repair person to come.

Only issue I have is the warranty company says it’s a $60 co-pay and I was charged a higher rate. Michael was on time and so nice. He inspected the fan, disconnected it and checked everything. It was decided that a new fan was the best bet. He communicated same to Choice and they approved. We opted to choose our own and accept their money (about $70.00). When we get the fan, Michael will come back and install. No extra charge. So far so good with Choice.

When we noticed our dishwasher was leaking, we called Choice, our home warranty. It was before the Labor Day weekend, so we were told that Tuesday would be the quickest that a tech could get to us. The tech was there on Tuesday and went to work on the dishwasher door. In no time, he had the door of the dishwasher taken apart and he found the problem. After he showed me where and why it was leaking, he fixed it, put the door back together and I ran a rinse cycle to make sure it was fixed. It did not leak and my wife and I are very happy to have our dishwasher working again. We paid the $85.00, he sent a receipt to my phone, and he was gone. We recommend CHOICE warranty above all others. You can depend on them to be there when you need them.

We had James come to our home because our air conditioner was not cooling. James had many previous appointments before ours. He kept us aware that our 12:00 would eventually be 5:30. When he arrived, I was concerned he would hurry our appointment. Nothing could have been more correct. He gave our equipment a complete and thorough evaluation. He found a problem and showed us the problem. He then carefully put the conditioner, furnace and other equipment as he found it. He left at approximately 7:30. We live in Redding and the temp has been in the high 90's and low 100's. Our AC unit started blowing warm air. Put a claim in and our contractor was assigned the following day which was a Friday. We heard from him and he couldn't schedule us until the following Tuesday, after a three-day holiday weekend. Bummer, 106 with no AC is no fun. So, we have another home north of here and decided to go there and wait it out until Tuesday. While we were there I got a phone call from the contractor that he had some time on Saturday and could come by.
Unfortunately, we weren't home but he came anyway and fixed the AC unit sitting on the sidewalk next to the garage. Then, he went into the garage and accessed the attic to make sure it was working. Success! I couldn't have been more pleased. When we came back Tuesday the air was once again cool. Great service and loved that AC guy.

Assigned plumber assessed the problem and your company doesn’t cover sewer line issues. So I’m out of pocket for the cost to fix that. Not thrilled about that circumstance! Second time I’ve experienced an issue like this with Choice Warranty. Last time I requested a plumber with a camera to find the broken sewer line, Choice sent me a pool repair person. Cost me $75 and he did nothing. I tried to recover my $75 and Choice refused.

We bought a 6 year warranty on our home 2 years ago. Our garage door started making this loud noise. We thought it was going to fall off. We placed the service request Monday and Tuesday morning we had an appointment. We received information on who or when was coming. Carlos showed up and not only fixed the issue, but set up our WiFi garage door opener. He also programmed our cars and set up our app. All of this just for our service fee. I do not understand as I pay monthly for such service and cannot understand how Choice claims they are there for the customer but yet fails in this now and before. This was odd, 2 lights with individual switch, flickered, went out, came on. Auturo came to repair, lights were on, he tightened switches, lights worked. You can't repair what isn't broken. 2 weeks later, no lights in bathrooom. Same electrician, a very nice young man, shut off electricity at electric panel and found 2 circuit breakers not working. Repairs done, all is well. Of course, I was only charged for one visit by electrician.

Sold me a warranty October 2021, offered me extra three years for a reduced rate. 6 years coverage for $2400.00. I asked if it could be transferred or if I sold the house before then would I get a refund, of course! Well I sold the house due to work and called, to cancel and get a refund was told by a supervisor no refunds! This policy is good until Nov 1st, 2027. Used it once and it was a super hassle so buyer beware move on to a reputable warranty company learn from my devastating error!
