Because of my remote location (a far drive for the workman) I had to learn that Choice and the workman needed to upgrade who would be notifying me of the change from a Monday to the eventual day, Thursday. No problems, all happy and civil, I very much appreciated all the efforts to get the work done. The man, Seth, was very pleasant, reliable, efficient, and thorough, completing the job earlier than I'd anticipated.

Being new to CHW, I haven’t had opportunity to use the service yet but I was extremely impressed with the Account Manager, Anthony. He was very friendly and professional. I’m pleased so far with the plan and the price he quoted me and hope the service is as efficient should I need to use it in the future.

I would not recommend this warranty in regards to washing machine issues. My washer needed replacement and it was some years old. I was only given the value from years ago. Thus to get a new washer I will have to come out of pocket. I have used this warranty before with different results.

My husband and I were gone from the house for a few hours on Tuesday, and when we returned realized our air conditioner had gone out. We placed submitted a claim with Choice, and was given Saturday as first available. I called the AC company and they were able to get us in the following day. They came out, need new system, warranty company approved that day. Waiting to hear costs associated with the fix, and when it can be installed. So far, impressed with how quickly things are moving...More to come.

Technician took the time to diagnose the problem and had the parts with him to repair. Previous repairman was an obvious rookie and replaced a key furnace fuse with incorrect amps. This caused a component to blow on the circuit board. I will request the Sears repair tech for an HVAC issues I have.

First time contacting CHOICE H. W. for service and it was great! I did the claim online. It only took me 5 months or so. Within a few hours there was a message from the technician scheduling the service. The very next day 7am, a technician texted me to inform me of his ETA. The technician arrived exactly at the time he gave me. Performed the repair and done! Very professional and attentive. Very pleased with this service.

Technician was able to come out earlier than initially scheduled, which was a plus, for me. Normally I have to wait for a diagnosis to be submitted/approved before the work is completed but he was able to fix everything while there.

Our dryer was making a clunking noise. The contractor came a day earlier than scheduled, methodically checked until he found a loose screw causing the problem. He was professional, neat and friendly. We are very pleased with this contractor and with Choice. Even though, Choice takes repair calls automatically, they are efficient and respond quickly.

Technician was friendly and professional. Found problems with the washer and repaired it. Technician arrived at time that was specified. Problem was resolved very quickly. Technician explained what the problem was and showed it to me. Technician showed me where the water was coming from, Tested washer after repair and and the problem Was gone. Would most certainly recommend this contractor for future jobs.

I was pleasantly surprised with the customer expert experience I had last night. I’m calling to reopen the claim. I had to speak to three people, all very pleasant and knew what they were doing. The last gentleman was able to help me get the claim open again. All the agents I spoke to helpful and it was much appreciated.

Liberty Drains did a very professional job. He came in. Diagnosed the problem and had it fixed better than new. Justin is a very knowledgeable and responsible person. He called the day before and gave me an approximate time to arrive, the day of service he called and was very prompt.

I've had very good results with Choice Home Warranty and the techs they sent out were fabulous. I've had to have one appliance replaced and that took a while. But other than that, everything was good. They recently came and fixed my washing machine. It was a new washing machine and I didn't notice for quite a while that it wasn't agitating because I don't stay in my laundry room after it fills up. But it's working fine now.

Kyle did not an excellent job- the policy benefits and his presentation won the deal for us- he answered every question in detail, no hesitation - we signed up for 6 year plan- I got a good vibe from Kyle. he represented your company well without talking down about a competitor - I gave him a couple scenarios about a service call versus actually having an appliance fail and who pay what...All in all to repeat the combo of Kyle and the Policy benefits sold us

I've been with Choice Home Warranty for at least 10 years and I've had no problems. The technicians they have sent have been very good. Last week, my dishwasher stopped working and because it's so old, they're going to replace it. They gave me a credit at Lowe's to buy a dishwasher. I've been happy with Choice and I just renewed for another three years.

We've purchased houses before and the home warranty is offered when people purchase. Choice Home Warranty is terrible. At first, they were okay. They took care of the first claim with no problem. After that, we had a claim and the service technician that they supplied us was not very professional, thorough, or prompt. Choice strung us out for weeks and months on the claim and never finished it. That was all I could take. I canceled several months back, and I'd tell people to stay away.

Young man who helped me was clear. He explained everything to my knowledge, and I felt secure, allowing him to charge my account. His name was Clarence, and he explained everything that would be covered by the plan, how much it cost and what each individual visit would cost. I was satisfied with his answers and made the choice to use Choice. I have nothing further to say on the subject, I believe I have make myself perfectly clear.

We had water leak underneath a wall and the possible damage to the dry wall. If the leak continued, the damage could cost us >$10K to repair. Choice Home Warranty (CHW) technician came and diagnosed the problem that did not relate to water line plumbing, instead it related to the condensation water from the AC unit. Subsequently, another AC technician from CHW came and clearly identified a 'block' that prevented the condensation from draining through drain line but seeped under the wall. The technician employed high pressure blast and flushed out the line to remove the block and thus enabled the draining of condensed water. Everything is operating well now.

The gentleman came out with his stool bag ready to work. He knew his job and did it well. It took no time for him to repair the dryer and he also gave us a tip on how to maintain and prevent breakdowns. I would highly recommend for service to my washer and dryer anytime. Recommendable!

Finally got hot, clean water on Oct 1. Claim initiated in 9/13. First technician came on 9/17, drained tank and stated it needed replacement. Choice agent called and suspected tech had filed false report, including 3 trips and a pipe replacement. I confirmed his suspicions. Second tech sent on 9/24. He confirmed replacement needed. Choice agreed and scheduled purchase and pickup by tech, Tech came on 9/28 and installed. He left, thinking new heater would heat up by evening. Never heated up.
Called tech on 9/29 and he could not get back until 10/1. He found that a wire connected to power did not have good connection, reattached wiring and unit worked within the hour. Took this long to complete replacement. Second tech seemed competent, but scheduling and one error caused the delays. He apologized for the problems, and I think he would still be a good subcontractor for you to use in the future. My other concern was my out of pocket cost, Your salesperson did not mention this and indicated that Choice would pay for the replacement. I am sure the cost to your customers is in the fine print of the contract and I would like to receive a copy of the contract by email or mail.

No heat from dryer. Called Choice Home Warranty. Replied with a week date of service. Returned call stated no cancelations, asked to find another vendor which they did. Really happy with service. From their customer service on phone and their service technician, Great service!!! Good communication skills, very polite, I would use them again.

Our master bedroom toilet flush stopped working. We made a claim with Choice Warranty and they had someone out within 2 days. The plumber texted us the night before to confirm the time they would Arrive, and we’re on time the following morning. The plumber was friendly, understood the issue and replaced the part within minutes, made sure everything was working. The plumber (Mitci Plumbing) also cleaned up after themselves and made sure the job was done right. Great service!

I am very pleased with the service provided by Choice Home Warranty. A service call was issued the day after I submitted my claim. The repairman was very knowledgeable and completed the repair in a timely and professional manner. Pictures were taken before and after the repair. Choice been great for us. They are very fast at getting things done. I signed up last year and I had no problems. This year I have my dryer went out, they fix it. My microwave and they on it. The service and technician were fantastic, quick, friendly, and solved both the main issue and another that would happen soon. It was also nice to have a claim completed vs denied needing to fight to get a covered service completed, like many from Choice. Auto deny seems to be how you take my money and refuse to warrant covered items.

For the first time since I’ve had CHW, I had a timely response to a need for service. I have been very disappointed that CHW does not have adequate coverage in my location. When I’ve tried to schedule service on my own for reimbursement by CHW, I’ve been told by local companies they do not like to deal with home warranty companies. As a result, it's very unlikely that I will renew when my current policy term expires.

The tech that was sent was very helpful in making suggestions but made it clear that the warranty did not cover the storm drain. I wish that the warranty covered more. Terms in the contract did not make that clear to me. However the tech did offer some suggestions for perhaps tackling the issue.

Contacted CHW on Sunday, company/time assigned same day. Bright Star was assigned, workman came on Tuesday at scheduled time, had part and problem solved. Henry assigned worker and I give him five stars. I was pleasantly surprised with timelines of resolution, and very happy with Bright Star. I was a bit skeptical because of some online reviews (they were not recent though).

Felt the length of time to replace the garbage disposal was a bit since I had water actively dripping underneath and onto my cabinet. The technician, I believe his name was Jerry, was absolutely wonderful. When he received the replacement garbage disposal he came back and only took a few minutes to replace it. He was also quite efficient in diagnosing the problem.

I had a leak in my house. Ran under the wall and was flooding the hallway with water. It was assumed by my own research that a fitting on the shower side was leaking, upon arrival, Justin with Liberty Drains took the time to listen to the issue, then took one look and said it was likely it was the tub spigot! He was right!!! 15 minutes later the entire job was done. Even used a snake cam to check and make sure the shower faucet was not leaking, giving me peace of mind. 10/10, 5 stars. Thanks, Justin! Zero leaks since!

The system were not check out properly. Only if you had disconnected the A/C unit from the main switch it will never trigger off, The main breaker is good. Getting things done with CHW is always efficient and a great customer service experience. I was able to submit a claim online on a Sunday night regarding issues with my garage, and by Tuesday the issue was resolved. That has been my experience with CHW since my policy was started. I have tried several times to get my heating repaired. I have not heard from anyone. I had one appointment 4 weeks ago and never showed. I asked for a supervisor to call me. They never did, I am turning this over to my lawyer to represent me on false advertising if I don’t hear from anyone. I am also making a copy of this email to send to my lawyer. Thank you.

He was very knowledgeable and got the job done. He told me exactly what he needed to do to fix the problem. It only took him about 5 minutes to install. It is working a lot better now. The only issue I have with service is timeframe it took from calling in work order to job completion. Seven days in my opinion is not acceptable for “home warranty”. Choice Warranty needs to step up their game in regards to customer service. Choice is basically a referral service in my eyes. I had to reach out each time contact was necessary, Upon arrival to my home, technician was friendly, professional and worked quickly to address and fix concern,.

The ease of submitting a new claim online is phenomenal. Am a disappointed that I have yet to be assigned a CHW Technician. It's been more than 24 hours. This is in regard to a Kenmore washer. In the past of using Choice Home Warranty, for broken appliances, whoever the assigned CHW technician was, I was pleased with their expertise.

The repair rep you sent out needs to be replaced. He was unreliable. He would say he be out 2: o'clock would not show up till 8 or 9 and would stay till 11 or 12 pm. Also would want to be paid before any work was started and always wanted cash. Very unreliable. Would not want him back.

So far so good. Initial process was fast and easy. However, I would rather set up the appointment with the service company instead of the service company telling me when it is. Might not be convenient. Also the final review will depend on how the oven works after the repair.

OMG - I could write a damn book on the corrupt work practices they have at CHOICE. Please think twice before paying your membership to this company. They have a book of excuses for any problem. It will be cheaper to call a technician and get your stuff fixed yourself. You don't need these middleman.

I was given options as to how I could pay to get lower rates. I accepted to take the three year option along with putting all 3 houses with the same company. The personnel was willing to assisting me to do my house together at the same company. This prevents me from missing my monthly payment. I also, got a better price.

I will never use Choice Warranty again. I am going going to cancel my contract. They are only going to bandaid the problem because it's not in their best interest to replace a 23 year old refrigerator that is not energy efficient and not working properly. Shame on them. They gladly take your money but when it comes to replacements...again...it's not in their best interest..no matter what would help their customer. I turned in a request 10 days ago and still waiting. Shame on Choice! I will tell everyone in my Park of over 1100 people and they will tell others. Shame, Shame, Shame. I am old and feel as though they are taking advantage of me for being a senior citizen.

Initial claim for my Viking stove was April of 2024. They took 4 months to find a technician that would actually show up for the job. Choice Home Warranty kept reassigning different technicians, but they all flaked out. The one that did show up with a total hack. My repairs were approved but the technician never got the parts. Eventually the "claim" on my stove expired. I had to call and file a new claim for my stove and will have to pay a new technician to diagnose and get repairs approved. I am still waiting for them to find a technician for the second time for my stove. Oh and if you happen to use their call center it sounds like everyone is in China and you can barely understand them. So good luck getting help. Do yourself a favor and hope you have to never deal with this company.

Filed a repair of Air Conditioner. They took 8 days to schedule a technician to come out. Temperatures were above 100 degrees and still are. I was lucky that later that day the unit's fan came back on and has been running normal the whole time. Didn't cancel as not sure unit was going to keep running. I'd be screaming mad if I didn't get lucky. I cancelled repairman and had to call Choice as their website has no feature to cancel online. I had to waste my time to call.

Be aware of this company. You will pay believing you will get peace of mind when something goes wrong with one of your appliances, but you will find out that after they send the tech and you pay your share, they will deny the request from the tech to order parts to fix what is broken. They will tell you that what is wrong is not covered under your plan as per some anonymous footnote. I have had both an air conditioner and a refrigerator, both denied repair because of fictional clauses to my contract, clauses that I never heard of.

They were on time, wore booties to not dirty our floors, and they were very quick and efficient and did a nice job and cleaned up the area after. The gentleman that came in response to my problem took his time and was very professional and thorough in trying to find the problem with my washer. Unfortunately he was unable to find a problem with my machine as it seemed to be fine. It was not when I went in and requested a service call. He did say that it could possibly be the pump and to call if the washer stopped draining and he would call in for a new one. He took a picture of the number off the pump. I like that he checked everything on the machine and did not guess.

I never heard of this company until my realtor referred me to them. They were very responsive. Filling the claim was really easy. Someone came out within a few days to handle the repairs. The agent was helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this company to my friends. I really could have summed this up in two words. On point.

I was referred by a friend to sign up with Choice home warranty when I bought my house. They gave military discounts on deductible and have a wide range of coverage. When it came to getting things done, I had one good company come out to fix my microwave, but it took three visits before it was replaced. As for my washer/dryer, the contractor they sent out wrote up that I was the cause of the washer not working and the company did not cover the replacement. The contractor stated that I was rich and could afford it. As for plumbing, the contractor they sent out didn't completely fix my toilet parts in the tank and was lazy enough to try to make me lift a toilet in and out of my house. The last thing was my water heater.
Although I explained my situation with a gas leak and needed attention right away, they sent someone after the fact and refuse to cover it because I already had the work done earlier that day. I tried to get them there sooner but it conveniently didn't work out. After several calls back and forth with the resolution team and the case manager, they wouldn't cover the situation. I cancelled my warranty. For what I spent over the years of of pocket and time off, I could have put that money in a high interest yield account and use those funds to pay for things. I'll never recommend our use them again!

The tech came on 9/18 and stated I need a part to fix my refrigerator due to it leaking water. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything about the part or when it will be fixed. This could affect my floor. I am very dissatisfied with this service. It is making me rethink this warranty.

The company that came to do the inspection of the heater just took a picture of the unit and left without doing any type of inspection to it. And the installation is more than what the heater cost, that's it for now. Thinking of leaving the services of CHW. No more to say at this moment.

Service tech notified me when he was on the way to our home in advance. He arrived on time for the appointment. He was very professional and took his time evaluating the problems with my freezer and refrigerator. He explained what items were the problem. Indicated that he would turn the information over to Choice Home Warranty. He was excellent.

I have filed a couple of claims with Choice Home Warranty. Each one has been done to my satisfaction. One for my furnace and one for a bathtub faucet leak. Both contractors that Choice recommended, has done a good job. I even filed a claim for an old refrigerator, but the refrigerator was so old, the parts weren't manufactured any longer. The service guy was very helpful. I have no complaints. I recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Updated on 11/13/2024: Choice understands that homeowners need and want their appliances to WORK! When they don't, well, it sure is nice to have a company like Choice on your side. They eased our expenses on a replacement dishwasher and we are very grateful they did!! While we don't often have claims, when we do, we're glad Choice is there to back us up.
Original Review: Omas Appliance Repair has not completed the repair of our dishwasher that we filed a claim for back in July 2024. It is now October. We filed another claim for the same repair. I don't blame Choice, but we need a better repair tech out here to fix the problem with our Samsung dishwasher. BTW, do NOT recommend Samsung appliances.

Happy to take your money upfront. Unwilling to be fair and help you out when it comes time to actually repair or replace anything. Had a dishwasher go down. Took more than a week for them to assign a company to come out. The company no call/no showed. They said I could hire my own tech and they would reimburse me. Turns out, they just straight up lied. They had zero intention of ever reimbursing me. Offered me an insultingly low amount towards a new dishwasher. I have the emails and everything. Straight liars. Straight garbage. Avoid at all cost.

Excellent exchange of ideas regarding my appliance, plumbing and electrical home insurance. The agent, Kurt ** provided me all the necessary information and gave me a very good deal to sign up with this company. I'm looking forward to doing business with Choice Home Warranty and moving away from the very bad Sears Cinch company - they don't call customers to let them know when they are delayed. Don't recommend Sears Cinch. Hoping Choice Home Warranty will be better communicating with customers.

This is my 2nd time using you to get work done under my warranty. The first time the company really did not have the parts and it took 3 weeks to get my furnace fix in the winter. Now I have a kitchen sink that has a broken pipe which means I can't use it and the repairs can't be done until the 4th of Oct and this is the 3rd of September. I also believe this is a one man shop. Ryan was early and flexible with my schedule. Since he was early I had a meeting to run to while they were here. Choice Warranty didn’t cover my issue but tech from First Plumbing was very good. I would felt good with them in my home while I was busy with work. They were quick and gave me good information.

My only challenge was dealing w/ the machine phone system. It could not get my problem understood!! Finally I got it but you need to have the ability to speak to a PERSON when that happens - so I gave up trying to put in my 2nd issue and had to call my AC company to address the problem and now have to pay $$$!! For the fix. Not happy! Why have this service? If I can’t get through to a representative?

Overall I'm very happy with the service provided by Choice Home Warranty. They've been very prompt and helpful with any appliance services covered by the warranty. In the past, I've used them to service refrigerator, dishwasher and garage door opener. Over the years, they've gained my trust and I'd highly recommend them to my friends and family for their home warranty needs.

The repair person said they would evaluate and order the part. They would have to return to fix it. It is scheduled for almost 2 weeks after evaluation. It is a week from tomorrow on Oct 7. I like having coverage but denied something that breaks with normal use on front panel. I have checked with other repairmen.

Tech came out and replaced spring. This was covered but other work that was needed was not covered. Tech said that the additional work was required but it was not covered. He had to adjust the weight to be evenly managed by the tension of the system spring. Seems like this would be included when the spring is replaced. I had to pay an additional $237.

I have a 21 year old washing machine that wasn't spinning. They ordered a new belt and came back the following week and installed it, but it still wasn't spinning and was told that part needed not available and I got an email stating they would give me an e-gift card for Lowe's to replace it. The amount given was a nice amount and I'm just waiting to receive it so I can purchase a new washer. They said 30 days.

I had American Home Shield previously. It was spendy, the service providers were esteemed (we could also choose our own), and the repairs and replacements were conducted with a minimum of conflict. Not so Choice Home Warranty. From their homepage we learn "CHW offers service contracts which are not warranties.". I signed up via telephone, a 7yr agreement for $2,300, reading the agreement on-line. The wording was similar to AHS, so I felt ok with the deal. The difference is, CHW does everything in their power to stonewall, frustrate, and discourage the client.
2 yrs ago our dishwasher failed (pump and sensor replaced). The service person provided (we couldn't choose) was questionable, broke the under-sink valve, flooded kitchen. He fixed it, was there 5 hrs. OR I could call a plumber and wait... On 9/1/24 dishwasher died, kaputt. Service provider dubious, deemed machine dead. Via their site, CHW offered $246 in Lowe's coupons to replace a KitchenAid KUD1021RWH that cost $498 on 3/5/07. Attempts to contact them via email resulted in automatic messages to make an appointment with representative. I did so with trepidation, ended up talking to someone on another continent who couldn't tell me replacement make/model suggested. Person refused to contact me with their appliance wholesaler, or their superior. Stonewall. Deceive. Evade. Refuse. Choice Home Warranty is awful.

The results of the word of the tech & the "experts" at CHS varied to the point of putting major repairs in a system that is already 12 years old. My email indicated that I was approved for replacement, but the word compressor was left out. Until I questioned the extra expense on my part of $1505 did I find out that you all only approved the compressor replacement.

I submitted a claim on September 7th. You weren't able to find anyone to help until 20 days later. I had to proceed with the pool closure before repairing the unit. You are not even flexible in the process when you can't find someone. I was expected to have company come out and look at the unit, then submit information and you wouldn't consider reimbursement if they fixed it before you were notified of the issue. I am considering cancelling the plan and finding another home warranty company.

The blower of my furnace wasn't working and Choice put the work order in pretty quick. So, I was satisfied with that. The techs were very good. The same company has been coming out to my house for a while. I've had some issues for a while, but they did take care of it. The issue with my furnace has been going on for two years and it should have been replaced two years ago but for whatever reason, it wasn't. I had to replace the heat exchanger in it. But I don't wanna complain too much because I wanna make sure I get my furnace. Other than that, everything's been good.

When I call I have no problem getting through and taking my information about what’s wrong, only takes around 24 hours to let you know about who and when the professional will be here, when the professional got here he was kind and courteous as they should be, and finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up his mess. Choice will do anything they can to make you pay as much money as possible to warrant your home appliances. They are less expensive than other warranty companies, so I guess it could be the tradeoff you get for paying less, but the service you get from the warranty company, not the vendors they use because most of them are honest and above board, is inferior to other warranty companies. They have a lot of loopholes that get you and you will hear the words "our policy states" or "as it states in our policy" every time you get them on the phone is there is an issue.

Both experiences with Choice Home Warranty were in the last two weeks in Austin and they did a really good job. Victor from Steglau Corp fixed the dryer that needed a new timer. I didn't realize the timer was so vital. So nice to have the dryer running well again! Choice chooses good companies to repair things in our home. For the A/C repair, they chose Tru Air. Patrick came out to evaulate the problem. He was top notch. They are putting the new a/c handler and compressor in on Monday. We are really pleased with the companies Choice chooses and the fine employees that each company sends out to help us.

The washer would spin and most of the water was draining, but not draining water from clothes; diagnosis led to replacement versus repair. The Technician tried to recreate and actually but big towels in to spin and drain. This shows the concern for best outcome for the consumer and not just quickest solution of ordering a part, waiting to install -

I signed up for Choice Home Warranty a year ago after using American Home Shield for more than a decade. I have only had two service calls during this time, and both got denied. The first was because my washing machine was leaking. The claim was declined because they said it wasn't considered normal wear and tear even though this is what the technician told us.
The second one was much more annoying and costly. We had our air conditioner serviced in late August, and the service technician indicated that because of a vibration in one of the pipes, it caused a leak. He indicated that this was normal wear and tear that wouldn't have been detected during our regular maintenance. Choice again denied the claim claiming it wasn't normal wear and tear. We appealed the decision, which was a complete waste of time and the agent was not prepared and clearly guided to simply repeat the initial decision and not look into it properly. We sent an email to the CEO, which went unanswered. We also filed a complaint with the BBB, and the responses from Choice also just repeated that it wasn't normal wear and tear. Avoid Choice Home Warranty. It isn't worth it.

Upon contacting choice online with issue I received appt date email the following day. It wasn't until a week later however the technician called and came earlier. Issue was my gfi outlets stopped working as well as some other outlets. Plus some other weird issues periodically occurred. Technician was very thorough in checking each issue and making appropriate repair. Plus I got a lesson in electrical issues in case issue happens again. Technician was very nice and left everything clean and spotless. I would recommend T & M Services again.

Elevate Services got our appointment moved up to a quicker date! We were originally scheduled 9 days out, but they got here in 48 hours! It was so hot and our family, (especially our kids) were struggling to sleep. They fixed our AC issues by installing a new AC blower motor, promptly and efficiently. Our technician Josh was great! I submitted a claim Friday night online Saturday received an email with my appointment time for Monday. The company called to confirm my appointment and called again when the service technician was ten minutes away. The technician explained what needed to be done to repair the A/C. I asked if him if had the parts and he said “Yes ma’am”.

My air compressor would not come on so I had no air conditioning. It was 4 days before we could get a repairman out here to fix it, he was good. It only took him 5 minutes to figure out the problem and another 15 minutes to fix it.

Had a good experience with the tech. Prompt reliable service. Some parts were needed, and the tech had them on his vehicle. Save a lot of time. Clean techs and very knowledgeable. They could have put the toilet lid back on and the seat as well. We had taken them off so it was easier for the repair, but thought they would put back on. We took care of that ourselves.

Called my CHW representative regarding a leak in my roof over my stove after a heavy rain. Within a couple of hours, she had filed a claim and contacted a contractor to set up an appointment for repairs. Just knowing that I have someone to help me when I have an unexpected home repair emergency is the greatest peace of mind as a homeowner. Her reassurance that everything would be okay calmed all my worries. As a homeowner all you want is to know someone is there to help you get the problem solved as quickly as possible and just to let you know it will be alright.

It is very important to understand they are extremely skilled at the scamming process. It is very simple. Any claim is subject to denial if it is not "caused by" what they consider "regular wear and tear"... this is 100% up to their discretion and opinion. This is just 1 of the many verbal fine print loopholes. I just cancelled their service after 10 months and having every claim I made denied. I have a few friends who used them who have got a claim or 2 approved over a few years but the total of the pay outs was significantly less than the totals of the MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO CHOICE.
MOST IMPORTANT THING TO UNDERSTAND IS: even if you are able to get a rare claim approved they will always make sure the payout is less than the amount that you paid to them via monthly payments. They are extremely skilled at this and they have thousands of words of fine print to back them up. You will lose money with this company ONE THOUSAND TIMES OUT OF ONE THOUSAND. DO NOT USE.

Was discussing various product offerings over the phone with a salesperson. We were disconnect. I figured I would call later to wrap things up. Then I noticed a charge for almost 3 grand on my card! The guy just went and charged me even though we had not yet settled on anything. I immediately email the company and didn't get a reply. I filed a claim regarding my undercounter ice machine. Choice contacted a technician who came out and looked at the appliance. He told me he would contact Choice and let them know the issue. He never contacted them and I was not able to contact him. Choice had another tech come out and reported the issue to Choice. Choice denied my claim saying the issue was prior to purchasing my claim. I contacted the tech and he said that was not true, that it could have gone out at any time. He told me that he had issues with Choice doing this to a number of his clients. When they see how much it is to replace, they deny the claims.

My digital keypad on my range went out, Choice elected not to fix it, made me a subpar offer of $338.00 as a final offer which I was forced to take or leave it. I went with Choice because I was under the assumption that if you couldn't fix it you would replace it. Not so. A replacement would be minimal price of $800.00. Fact. As you can see I'm upset.

I've been satisfied ever since I went with Choice Home Warranty. It's got very low cost and it is beneficial for anyone that owns a home. Submitting a claim is quick. I call over the phone, and it's always a good experience over the phone. They take care of it quickly. It doesn't tie up a lot of my time. I like the promptness. When I call, they get here quickly. I may have to shuffle some things around because I may call today and they come today.
I've had a great experience. I only had one bad experience with the pool pump. That was around COVID time. So, they just wasn't getting supplies then. It probably took five months to get a pool pump. It cost about $1,000 to get my pool clean after I didn't get the pump on time. It cost me a little bit of money on the back end of it.

The technician was great and professional. However, Choice did not pay for the repair as they said it was not covered. I waited 1.5 weeks for a repair that was not covered when the failure was listed in the request. Had I known I would have been paying out of pocket, I could have hired someone else sooner.

Home Depot had a $29 special for AC tune-up. The technician from ARS found several things wrong including low freon. The technician from Angel AC did not find anything wrong except for low freon. He added the required amount. Angel AC is one of the companies that Choice Home Warranty uses.

Everything was handled very professionally and friendly by the contracting house. The contractor operates in a 2 hour window and they were on time with a email prior notification of expected arrival time and arrived as predicted. Technician was awesome, found the problem almost immediately and reconnected the wire and the dishwasher works great!

Policy #: ** Claim #: **. Two bathrooms have a link to the basement when the tech submitted his reports they were combined. Now they are not fixing the second bathroom stating I only need Grout. The second is leaking when the shower is turn on. I’m still waiting for a case manager’s to contact me. After this I think I’m going to cancel this contract. Every time something big need fixing is always problem. This not the fist time I’m having issues with Choice Warranty'.

Their claim process is very easy and online. I like that I get the direct number of the company that is in charge of providing the services. I have mixed feelings about the Choice Home Insurance. When it comes to Air conditioning issues, average waiting time is 48 hrs. Since I live in Arizona temperature is 105 to 115 in the Summer. Had to move family to a hotel while waiting to be repaired adding cost $150 to $200, plus $75 co pay. Not worth it to have home insurance. For other issues like plumbing or appliances may be okay.

It just rubbed me wrong having a long argument with someone for no reason. The Technician was on time and very professional. He diagnosed the problem and proceeded to fix the issue. The Plumbing Tech, respected my home by placing covers over his shoes, before entering my home for the assignment. He also explained how he was to repair the damaged part. First time I am impressed with Choice Warranty support. Resolved dishwasher leak issue in 3 days from claim initiation date. Reported on day 1, technician diagnosed on day 2 and parts replaced on day 3 - inlet valve was malfunctioning, resulting a leak. Alex from JD Appliance Repair - provided a good service.

The technician who serviced my sink was excellent. However, it was very difficult to communicate with Forever Plumbing. They did not answer their phone. The air handler fan motor stopped working on Monday morning. I promptly reported it online to Choice Home Warranty. By Monday evening an appointment was made for Wednesday morning. Darrell from Love My AC showed up on time. He quickly confirmed the motor needed replacement. He got on the phone and got approval right away from Choice. He had the motor on his truck and replaced it. Darrell was polite and professional.

All he did was figure out what was wrong but didn’t do any repairs as he had to get it authorized by Choice. That’s a whole other story. They only authorized part of the repair and not the whole thing I filed about. They cited a part of the disclaimer about pre existing conditions even though they were advised everything worked until date I filed the claim. Even after I appealed they still denied part of the claim. Appeal process is a joke and they don’t consider any additional details that one provides. I will be looking for a new home warranty company as this ain’t the first issue I’ve had with choice. Basically they suck!

I called to start a claim on a washer that was not functioning correctly. They actually found someone to service it. The company worked with my renter for scheduling. The service company went out, found the problem, fixed it and my renter paid the $75 fee. The claim was processed in no time at all and everything was approved. The repair came to around $200. It was quick and easy. Actually, happy that I purchased multiple plans for other rentals.

I called Choice get my washer and dryer fixed. The technician arrived on time. The washer was not completing cycles and the dryer was not drying the clothes all the way. There were a few pieces missing or broken on the washer. He did the best that he could but said he had to order some parts. He did fix the dryer but told us to clean the dryer filter ducts before we used it.
The technician did a very good job. I had confidence that he knew what he was doing. He was pleasant and friendly. The following day I received a call from Choice stating that the company determined that the washer was not fixable. Choice offered me money to help pay for a replacement. We have not received the money yet but I been told that it's being processed and on the way.

The representative I spoke to was helpful, convincing, but not pushy. I wasn't sure if we should go with the multi-year option and therefore, I declined. The technician and entire team did a great job getting my air conditioner working. They are willing to go the extra mile no matter what time of the night it is. Don’t be caught in a web by false reviews for this company. I have been an AHS warranty customer for over a decade and recently didn’t like their premiums and changes to their services. So based on reviews I found Choice Warranty. Upon a regular Dryer service call they determined I’d need a replacement. Now, being used to my previous company I assumed 100% replacement and fair turnaround time of not more than 3 weeks. First of these guys are sending me an e-gift-cert from Lowe’s that takes 30 days to receive and then they only covered 60% of the cost to replace based on the cheapest dryer available at Lowe’s.
Upon calling customer service and asking them why am I not getting a no cost replacement option, like my previous company, to where your policy clearly indicates full replacement, they just reiterated that depends on diagnosis. Well the diagnosis clearly said replacement. They told me to cancel my policy plus take a 30% hit on the premium refund, plus they will cancel my e-gift card to which I’ve already paid my premium for the month as well As the service call fee. Before I could even agree he already cancelled my policy and told me to check email. He further told me not to write any reviews or negative reviews. This company is truly a scam. Best way to get a home warranty is ask a good reputable realtor that you know of. They will usually advise who the better warranty companies are.

The service technician was very friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about my problem. Unfortunately, CHW would not approve the service to be completed. The technician also accidentally opened my front door too wide and put a small gash in my wall, when reported to the company via text, they did not respond or follow up with me. I also reached out to them via a p/c to get a personal quote & was told that I would be contacted as soon as possible and I still waiting to hear back from them.

Oh this will be factual! They are by far the worst company I have ever worked with. When they say 4 hours. That mean 4 days. You won’t get a person in the phone unless it’s for sales. And they are rude as hell. They will just keep transferring you to claims. And they never answer. You can leave your phone number. And they never call you back. I did a claim on my refrigerator. By the time they got back to me. I threw out 200$ in groceries. They will be here tomorrow. But I called corporate in New Jersey. There are zero management on site. So there’s no accountability for their actions/ lack of. And their rudeness. So I have platinum. Supposed to fix or replace. Let’s see how that goes.
They are not accredited by BBB. The only one that’s worth talking to is Bruno. If you can get him on the line. I definitely will not sign up next year. I paid for the entire year. So highly doubt I’ll get my money back. I do not recommend this company at all. Like I said I’m disabled. Needed my medication in the refrigerator. The medicine can’t be on ice. So I had to have my Dr call in a 24 hour supply until it gets fixed.

I was a member of American Home Shield for 5 years. I was satisfied with the service. However about a month ago, our kitchen sink plugged up and we had company coming, and AHS wouldn't send a plumber when we needed it now. I paid another $250 to get it unplugged, then they were going to raise my rate. I stopped doing business with them. I found CHW, they gave the same service plus. The rate I had to pay for a service was $75 vs $106 for AHS, and the yearly rate was much cheaper, AHS doesn't do a yearly rate. I'm very pleased as I saved some money and that's hard to do in this economy.

My microwave buttons stopped working. CHW had a repairman look at it. Apparently, it was better to replace it instead of fixing it. CHW is sending a Lowe’s gift card so we can purchase a new one. Waiting on the gift card now. Said it would take up to 30 days. Wish it was sooner since the repairman said it was best to not use the microwave again. All I’ve done so far is make the appointment. That took more effort than I expected. The phone number that Amir ** gave me did not work. I called and got the message to go online from another phone number. I went online and it first couldn’t find anything but sales. I finally found the correct website and listed my needs. Then was told to make a phone call to complete it. What I was told by Amir ** and what the scheduler said were different but we were able to reconcile and I have an appointment scheduled for day after tomorrow. Hopefully all will go well.

First appointment with repairman was a week away. The day before the appointment, it was rescheduled for 3 days later. When I called him, he said he would try to make the original appointment but it would be in the evening. He actually came earlier than expected and I appreciated his efforts. He recommended replacement for my 14 year old washer. Within a few hours, CHW agreed and made the monetary offer. We declined the ecards and instead chose to receive a physical check. No problems. The rep even even recommended a few washers that Best Buy had in open box to help us out that that were comparable to our old washer and would fit within the monetary replacement parameters.

So instead of having the technician fix the mess up they made us pay another deductible fee for someone else to come out. They are incredibly rude and I'm thinking of canceling. Truly awful service.

This was my first experience with Choice and it was not good at all. The AC went bad and no technician was assigned for days. Eventually asked for picking my own vendor and that also took days for email to come through. The problem with that process is it requires approval before fixing anything. I had tenants in my property and was running the risk of them suing me as those were 90+ degree days. Eventually I had to call the service on my own and get it fixed, and I finally decided to replace the HVAC system itself. The wait time on this issue was horrible and incurred a lot of cost on top of the warranty policy price I paid. I almost decided to cancel my 7 different policies with Choice.

Our garbage disposal broke down. Choice made us an appt within a couple days and the appt was almost 2 weeks out but not a huge issue. The company could have fixed the issue on the spot but they had to diagnose then wait for approval from Choice to fix it. Overall I am happy with the results.

I was notified of the appointment, the name of the company, the number of the repairman. Seems like it is going great. He was to be at my house by 3 p.m.. When he did show, I called his phone number. He answered. He name my name. He only gave me the number to his home office. I called that number at which time I was told that they do not do business with Choice Home Warranty who are in Colorado. Good grief! Didn't anyone check with these people? So I am stuck with trying to find someone and no longer trust that I will be reimbursed for whatever it costs me to get it fixed. I am not happy!

Contacted Choice Warranty regarding a leak from living room ceiling - coming from between ceiling and second level floor. Choice response was very good and a contractor responded within 4 hours. Contractor (First Action Plumbing) technicians (Gage & Lee) arrived within promised window and promptly identified source of leak and made the required repair.

I just got off the phone with the with Vincent who is with Choice, I have received a few calls that I didn't answer because they came across as Spam. I think they should come across as a call from Choice. Vincent also told me there was an email sent about my appointment tomorrow that I never received until 4:15 pm today. If I hadn't called, I would have never gotten the email. I pay good money for this service & am not happy with this at all. I was supposed to go away today for the rest of the week & wouldn't have known that anyone was coming. Not a happy camper at all.

When it comes to minor repairs, Choice is 2nd to none. I have had two major issues that Choice did not respond the way I had hoped. A washing machine needed replacement. Instead of taking into consideration the cost of a new machine, comparable to the one I had that needed replacement, Choice's Representative took a hard line stance and offered me compensation that did not even cover 50% of the cost of the machine that I replaced. I had no choice but to accept it, costing me approx. $600.00 out of pocket.
I had a major electrical issue in my home. Choice's handyman showed up, did his inspection, reported his finding to the office (wires would need to be traced) to determine exact problem. Choice's Rep. informed me that this is an issue that Choice would not approve. I paid 100% of the cost to repair issue. Bottom line, Choice needs to be more responsive to what they advertise on what they cover. Not simply disapprove a claim because it costs more than a minor repair or provide minimal compensation to replace a major appliance.

They have always been fair as long as the item is repairable. The problem for me is if it needs to be replaced. You only pay a portion of the cost to replace. In my case, the washer would cost $568 replace. You will send me a Lowe's gift card for $340. I am on SS and have to dig up the remainder. I have to find a way to pick one up at Lowe's. Lowe's will deliver for another. Most of the time you do good if the items can be repaired at home. If it needs to be replaced I only get a portion of the cost and I have to find a way to pick it up from Lowe's 40 miles from me. I am low-income and hard for me to come up with the money to buy, pick it up, get it in the house, and hook it up.

I purchased the warranty for 5 years and my washing machine stopped working. They charged me $65 service fee and said the appliance need to be replaced. They are giving me $342 only!! I can’t find a washing machine for this price. I don’t want to go to thrift stores for washing machine shopping. I won’t renew the warranty again. For the amount I paid for the warranty I would have bought new appliances. The case manager was nice but couldn’t increase this amount.

The service tech, James from Callahan Contracting was great. He arrived on time and was very quick with fixing the issue that we were having with our AC unit. He was friendly and professional. Problem was coded wrong in computer. Person came for the wrong thing. He discovered the problem but could not fix it because of coding. He was very nice about it. I had to call in another claim to fix the problem. I called Choice to get a refund on the service fee or to waive the subsequent fee due the incorrect coding. I stated the problem in the narrative and it had nothing to do with the coded problem. Of course, they refused. From this point forward I will never use the web page to report a problem. I would rather explain the problem to a live person. I am not a very happy camper.

If you buy Choice home warranty then you are buying yourself a fake peace of mind. You will pay all your be premiums but when anything breaks in your house they will deny the claim after charging you additional $75 for the tech fee. They have trained specialists to find something or the other as a reason to deny your claim. Save your money and save your self and stay away from this choice warranty home insurance company.
