Way too long waiting for our hot water heater issue to be resolved! Our hot water heater started leaking on a Thursday night, I submitted the claim immediately and the soonest CHW could get a contractor out was over a week away! That’s unacceptable for something as important as a hot water heater.

Repairman was very knowledgeable and arrived on time. After diagnosing the problem Choice Home Warranty said the repairs were not covered because the breakdown was not normal wear and tear. That could be said about any system failure. I am currently evaluating whether to renew my home warranty when it's time.

Our nearly 20 year old microwave finally gave up on us, so we filed a claim with CHW (our first). The technician they sent was great - he worked efficiently and was very courteous. He confirmed that there was no way to replace the broken part due to the age of the microwave, so CHW would replace it. We had a great experience to this point, and were even considering renewing our warranty at the end of its term.
Then we got the replacement offer - a Lowe's e-gift card in an amount too low to cover even the cheapest microwave at Lowe's. I called to appeal, but they said that was all they could do because it's the amount they can buy a microwave for wholesale, even though they won't buy and replace it themselves. They did offer to mail a check instead of the Lowe's card, but we still have to find and buy a microwave at retail price, including tax, after already paying for the home warranty and service fee. It will take up to 30 days for them to send the check. I'm not sure how they can consider this "replacing" our appliance since we're doing the bulk of the work and still having to pay out of pocket for even the cheapest replacement (and hope they actually send us the check).
To cap it off, the case manager I spoke to was patronizing and the "appeals process" was basically him reiterating what CHW said in an email without any chance of changing the amount - a complete waste of time. This has been a huge headache over a microwave, but I'm glad we now know that Choice Home Warranty is basically a scam before needing to make a bigger claim. We'll be saving our money in an emergency fund rather than giving it to CHW in the future.

The major problem with Choice Home Warranty is the kind of Companies you use to serve your customers. We had one first Pluming Co. (RITE COST PLUMBING) that is really bad, mostly 2 to 3 Stars in all reviews. It is really frustrating having to spend 6 days in a hotel, because you guys work with so mediocre companies. The second company was extremely good. Polite, on time and showing care for us. Really detail explanation of the problem. (ARIZONA DRAIN PROS) I will give them 5 stars. Choice Home Warranty needs to be more selective when it come to the Companies they use.

I reached out to Choice Home Warranty to start my claim. Within 24 hours they had a contractor assigned. Contractor diagnosed the issue within the hour. They reached out to the claims team, told them what was wrong with the furnace, 3 hours later I received the approval for the repair and told me to reach out to the company to get updates and here we are a week later and back in business. Thank you choice home warranty for the continues support to keeping things at home right.

Condensation around 2 vents in house. Claim denied for maintenance? Home is 5 years old. Filter changed monthly and have had manufacturer service the unit every year. The basis for denial is lack of service. This is not correct the home builder has serviced the unit every year. This is why we got the warranty in the first place.

I called in for a plumbing issue. When the plumber came it was the garbage disposal. I had to pay 60.00 twice. Once to diagnose, the second time to replace it. I’m not plumber. I should not have to pay twice, been a member too long. I would like a 60.00 credit

Technician was great. Got right to the problem. Found the replacement part in his vehicle. Apparently the burner was bad. He tried all the burners to make sure everything was working properly before he left. Stove working great. He also assisted by having the stove pulled out far enough so we could clean behind and around it. Thank you.

The technician Jason who was sent to repair our not working microwave was very knowledgeable, competent and efficient in his work. Repair the unit in no time. He was very courteous and I highly recommend his service. The Choice company responded very quickly to the request for service and scheduled service to accommodate our day and time available.

The technician did a great job, but I thought I would have one assigned to come sooner. I made the claim on Oct. 17, and it wasn't fixed until Oct. 22, though 2 of those days were the weekend. At least it wasn't the originally assigned date which was Oct. 25. The other thing is this company requires me to tell the technician a different code number before going out, doing the work, and finishing the work. This was very strange to me.

Mr. ** was excellent. He came soon after the order was placed. He thoroughly explained the problems he found and addressed the issues promptly. We had to pay the uncovered expenses out of our own pocket and found his pricing to be fair and reasonable. If we have an HVAC problem in the future we intend to ask for the claim be referred to HVAC Experts.

Salt sensor not working, showing 1700 does not move. have checked sensor on screen with yellow light showing. no matter how much salt I put in it still shows 1700 for salt content and it should be 3300 content. Has been this way since August 2024. This is causing salt not to be turned into chlorine

First, I was concerned that it took a full week to get a technician to my house. This was only a microwave, but what if it was my refrigerator or freeze? Or my HVAC? That's a long time to wait for service. Second, my unit replacement cost was significantly less than I expected, although my claims manager was very helpful in helping me find least costly resources. Third, while my unit was replaced, the cost of installation was on me. Which makes me wonder whether repair would be preferable to replace.

Thank you for prompt and professional response. It was rare to have a week's worth of 30-degree lows in mid-Oct and I needed the furnace to work! It is a new house purchase and having the warranty spared me from a huge amount of stress. I will definitely use the service again for some other identified needs or repairs.

I was very pleased with the service that Choice Warranty provided. Our heater stopped heating. I call them and the next day there was a very knowledgeable Emmanuel to look it over and tell me what was wrong. He fixed it and take pictures so I could see what he had done. I definitely will use Choice warranty again when something goes wrong at my house.

Good service and I would refer family and friends. So far they have been a really good service and help. I just hope the service continues to be great for as long I'm with you guys and hopefully my furnace gets fixed in a timely fashion but as far as service, I have no complaints. Very pleased with what y'all have done for me and I will continue to stay with you guys.

Knew what needed to be done and how to fix it. Worked cleanly and throughout the repair he kept us up to date. We had a sink and waste disposal blockage and I certainly would recommend Shilo plumbing to anyone looking for this type of work to be done.

I’m feeling we just wasted our money to pay to CHW! First of all for major repairs never scheduled with vendors less than two to three weeks. Vendors not showing up on scheduled day. CHW always has excuses to pay repair costs and makes excuses to skip it and give you a responsibility to fix it, then CHW pats portion of repairs. This home warranty is horrible because never fixing major issues like AC or plumbing issues. They do just small repairs like appliances repair.

I've lived in this house going on 2 years. I have always had a problem with slow drains in my bathroom. I tried different products and it would help for a short time, but then it would be slow to drain. I finally had enough. I called Choice Warranty and I was assigned a claim number. It took almost a week and a half, but l was happy to see the plumber at my door. He was pleasant & went right to work. He spent a good half hour or more and my problem was fixed. I can now take a shower without the tub filling up at the same time. Thank you to the plumber. Life is good again.

I had a plumbing issue where my one side of my sink would back up into the other. And Choice Home Warranty came through again with a Top Rated plumber, who knew what exactly what to do!!!! First I was denied because of a question, but I got my problem fixed after I razed hell. I thought that my policy had in it that I would not have to come out of pocket for any problem that I had. My first time with a claim with Choice, was not great, as a disabled veteran I was hurt.

I am very pleased with the service provided by Choice Home Warranty related to my gas furnace not heating. They were prompt in advising who and when my issue would be addressed. The heating and cooling company was also prompt, although they arrived after the scheduled time, they let me know when they would arrive and why...which is very understandable. I am sure there were many who learned their heat was out since this was the first real drop in temperature this season for Central Alabama.

They showed up on time and repaired the problem. They took the washer completely apart and put it back together. They were courteous and clean up before they left. I did not see what they did but the washer is working just fine now. They did a damn good job.

Diagnose and replace dishwasher. The technician was excellent. The extremely LOW BALL offer I received to replace my dishwasher was disgraceful. Not only was it sorely inadequate for its amount, the representative could not provide an adequate explanation how your "business" formulated this sorely inadequate amount. I look forward to posting further on-line reviews on how low my opinion is for this experience with this company.

Corroded tank flap and water level valve replacement. Josh, the tech from Forever Plumbing, is so professional, prompt and fast our whole family hopes he is the one who comes. My valve on my hot water is broken. My thermostat would set but there was no heat. I filed a claim and had to wait over the weekend for assistance. The house was chilly but made it through. The service was supposed to be between 7:00am and 11:00am. They did not come until 2:30pm. This was because Choice Warranty did not give the claim to the company until much later. Once service thing went well.

The repairman came to my house on Thursday and determined what was wrong with my washer in less than 3 minutes. He said he would order the parts needed and come back and repair it. On the next Monday he brought the parts (2) and repaired my machine in less than 5 minutes. Outstanding!

The final outcome was good but it took seven days and not so convincing copay amount which I agreed readily because of the grave situation and avoiding further delay. Leaky water tank could have been emptied during inspection avoiding multiple moppings of the basement for six days causing severe physical discomfort to us, both being senior citizens. There's room for improvement with one of the telephone call agent in terms of courtesy.

Technician came to check AC unit. Found out that the compressor was bad. He suggested to CHW to replace the unit. They agreed to replace the units. Along with that the technician called me and said that I had to pay 1755.00 before CHW would send the unit to him. I’ve been with CHW for over 7 years. I was under the impression that all I would have to pay is the flat rate of $100.00 and CHW would pick up the cost of replacing the unit.

There was a leak on our ceiling and the assigned plumber diagnosed the issue correctly. Another plumber from reputed local company said I need to replace the toilet in master bath that is located above it and quoted $1000 bill. Good so far. CHW assigned another plumber who can work on the pipes. But they did not show up on the appointment date and it got rescheduled. Then I received an email from CHW that I need to pay $500+ as some of the work is not covered under warranty. Not happy with the late notice but want to get the problem addressed.

We had the regular routine service on our furnace this morning, before the winter cold season and before we were ready to turn it on for the winter. During the service and inspection showed the furnace is unsafe to operate. The Heat exchanger is rusted and cracked, the motor used to blow the exhaust out of the house in leaking oil, the vent pipe is damaged, the blower motor is leaking. The technician indicated this is a health issue with the issues he discovered. I have 21 images from the technician, I can forward of the safety and health items he discovered.
We started a claim with Choice Home Warranty. They assigned American Moose Mechanical (Branden **) to come and do an inspection. Branden spent considerable time tearing into the system and found some minor issues which he fixed. He took time to go around the house checking various vents for the presence of CO gas, which he found nothing which would cause us any danger. He changed the filter and buttoned up the furnace after he told us even though the unit was older he did not see that it was any health issues or that it wasn't functioning properly. Thank you to Branden and Choice for their ethical workmanship and for saving us thousands of dollars.

Driven by the rating listed under 10 best home warranty providers. The customer service provider, Adam, was Positive - Informative - Patient & Knowledgeable... Hopefully at the time of need, the technical service provider will be the same. Paying the same amount for the entire home vs only my kitchen appliances was not a NO BRAINER!! My pool pump has been repaired three times for a leak. I hope this repair will work longer than a month. I keep having to pay for this leak because it’s over 30 days. I think you need to be replacing the motor and seals. I believe the repairs that have been made on my pool pump. Motor has not repaired the problems and it only extended my problems. Also, the individuals repairing my pool have been different each time so it’s hard for them to know the problems.

Used online to open claim, fast and easy. Two days later repair man came out to fix it. Due to the amount of money needed for parts, he recommended that Choice replace it. Spoke to repairman about what he was seeing on different types and brands. Based on this we went out to Spencer's and purchased a new washer. It came the next day and was installed quick. Works great.

The company that they had come out, Mohave Appliance Company was able to resolve my issue and fix my washer. I was very pleased. That they were able to fix it, and I was very pleased with the technician that they sent out was a very nice and kind man.

Excellent repair response on my dishwasher. Thank you, and look forward to receiving that credit voucher. Tech showed up promptly, and provided a quick update, after which CHW made a quick decision on disposing of my old appliance. So, all in all, we're happy with this though we had to wash by hand for a week or so.

It turned out the dryer wasn't making that surging noise but the techs still went in to check it out. They took apart the machine and cleaned out any lose lint that was inside the unit. They were excellent and very professional!! Thank you for referring us to a professional group.

A component of my home AC was not covered by the warranty so I had to pay $1,200 for a repair. My washing machine was not repairable and the warranty did cover a replacement. However, the replacement amount not only was not enough to purchase the least expensive washing machine I could find, it also came in the form of a Lowe’s eCard and would not be digitally sent to me for 30 days. I now have to either buy a washing machine out of my own pocket and use the Lowe’s card for something else, or wait the 30 days until I receive it and use it, along with money from my pocket, to buy a washing machine. Either way I’m FORCED to purchase something from Lowe’s instead of using the local appliance store I had planned on using.

I rated my experience with four stars because Samboni had to come and correct the a/c company that installed my new unit, who neglected to turn the gas back on, costing me another $75 service fee. Why am I held responsible for someone else’s fault? The rep from Samboni Home Services was great.

#1: kitchen oven made a noise and quit about April 27, 2024. I discovered the oven element was burned in two. I replaced it but was not getting electrical power to it. I filed a claim on May 1, 2024. A technician came out a couple of days later and diagnosed the problem as both heating elements were bad. He never checked any electrical supply. He ordered parts and 10 days later the truck with (wrong) parts broke down and was towed somewhere. Another tech came from same company and diagnosed control panel bad. He said elements were ok. Ordered parts to be sent to my home. This took several days. I checked part number against part number ordered. Numbers not match. I called CHW. Was told a technician would have to confirm. Another 10 days! He came, confirmed wrong part. Reordered, parts came, correct parts. Was notified by CHW that the original techs had resigned from contract and CHW would assign another tech company.
Another 10 days. The bottom line, 60 days without oven! #2:A/C started freezing up, low on refrigerant. Tech came and topped off, said that was all he could do. No leak check. My regular HVAC man did leak check. Leak detected. CHW manager said he would send his original tech out and do a leak check. He arrived and someone from CHW called him off and canceled leak check. I have since paid to have leak fixed no thanks to CHW. #3: Oct 14, 2024, microwave started noise and electrical smoke smell. Called CHW. They sent tech. He said too expensive to fix. CHW agreed and offered me $191.00 which I foolishly accepted. Found out it would take 30 days to get money and no installation included. I’m done. Thanks!!!

The technician that came to troubleshoot the issue we're having with our refrigerator was professional, helpful, and courteous. However, he did not have the part necessary to resolve our fridge issue, so he will have to come back a second time. We were pleased with how he explained what were not and what were the issues he could see.

The gentleman addressed the problem. We now have air conditioning but we were disappointed to learn that he did not carry programmable thermostats which we currently had. It was replaced with a manual thermostat. We were not happy with that so I guess we'll have to go purchase our own comparable replacement.

He came to my house. Was very nice. Looked at my pool motor and was very surprised at the sound. He got right to work looking at all the parts. And could also see the water leak.. He was sure of himself and very nice young man. Also said hello to my grandson that was here.

Bad experience overall for a replacement air conditioner. Fact reported 8/8 contractors came out, diagnosed, made funding $4200 on $9200 unit. I did not have the remaining $5000 and no a/c and left. Another contractor came, wanted the entire $9000. Then went to claims department and was told I could get reimbursed for a new air conditioner so I applied. I got a whopping $658 to replace my air conditioner. I was told I had parts and labor covered. You tell me where I can get a new HVAC FOR $658! I called the CEO, nothing. I called claims department, spoke to a manager there, nothing. So I’m still out an a/c.

I did my research before choosing a home warranty company. I'm glad I did because so far my experience with Choice Home Warranty has all been positive. Twice I've had things break down late at night but as soon as I went online to file a claim, I received a response and was scheduled with a technician. So far I have only had knowledgeable technicians come to my house which really takes the stress out of an otherwise stressful situation.

Allow me to make it known that she provided all the details about what will happen now that a claim has been filed. Further expect to hear from a Repair Technician now that the claim has been filed within 24-48 hours or less to discuss a convenient appointment time to diagnose the problem at my home and complete repairs within the limits of my home warranty contract. Service, overall, has been excellent. I do, however, find it frustrating that I'm provided a number to call to put in a claim and receive an automated assistant that seems never to have in their bank, what I am looking for. Having to put in a claim online is so impersonal.

This company called me months before my policy was to expire and I told them I was not interested anymore. I had originally paid the full year upfront and never setup a monthly payment plan. Then I see a monthly charge in my bank account and asked why they ran it without my consent. I told them I had spoken to one of the sales people that was trying to renew my policy and told them no. They said they sent me an email and I did not respond. This company is a scam when I told them I didn't want it anymore. Not happy at all.

The technician needs to work on his customer service skills. He never explain the major issues with my microwave. All he wanted was the $85 that I paid him in cash and that’s it. There has to be a level of professionalism where service is being conducted in anyone’s home. Please don’t send him to my house again.

I have talked to some other home warranty places and they were not nice at all, it was very hard to understand what some were saying. You guys are fantastic. I just called and boom you take care of my claim... All I did was say what my issue was and you're like, "No problem. I will do that for you." Our technician, Robert was amazing. He came to the appointment on time, he was very knowledgeable with the repair of our washing machine, he was extremely polite, a pleasant person, as well as a clean person compared to others. He explained everything and stayed over till the washing machine worked properly.

I was without power or internet for 6 days due to storm. I called Choice when internet was resumed and entered claim for A/C unit not working. After 24 hours Choice supplied name of contractor who never contacted me. 48 hours later I called contractor, mailbox was full, no answer and no email or contact info listed. I told Choice and they said they would search for another contractor which may take up to another 48 hours. I asked to obtain my own contractor and was refused. I am elderly and told Choice it had now been 2 weeks and my bedroom was 87 degrees and I was forced to get help. When Choice was unable to get contractors in the past they allowed me to obtain one and send photos and bill to them for reimbursement.
I could wait no longer due to health reasons, had no problem finding a local contractor to repair unit.. Since I went out of system for repair due to the above circumstances I did not ask for full compensation, just 25% reimbursement which I feel more than reasonable. They turned over to claim specialist, who was very polite, but rejected any help. Bottom line: Choice loves to collect your premium, but will find any and every reason to not pay a claim. I have been a customer for several years, but that didn't help.

Technician came and worked on the refrigerator leak for about 30 to 45 minutes. Said everything was OK. Technician stated that if we had any further problems to give his company a call. We paid him with a personal check for $85 and then we signed our invoice and he sent it to us through our email.

It was pretty easy, the only thing that could be improved on was getting the service tech in the same day instead of the following. The technician was easy to work with, he was behind schedule though and did not make it in the estimated time.

When the time came to renew, I told them I don't want to renew over multiple phone calls. They disregarded my words and charged my account for an annual renewal anyways. Also they outsource phone calls to India so you are giving your personal information to a call center in India which does not feel very secure.

Was not granted the amount of money to replace the frig without paying $500 out of pocket. I have nothing else to say except that I think that Choice Home Warranty should think about granting at least close to what the customer is going to have to pay to replace the insured appliance.

Overall, I am happy I purchased this ins. We have had numerous things fail and Choice repaired them all to my satisfaction. I also like the fact that you can be reimbursed if you choose your own contractor, or need work done sooner than what can be scheduled. I plan on renewing.

Although it took several days to find an A/C company in my area, Diamond A/C & Heating was great. The technician was very friendly & knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the part. All I had to pay was the service fee as stated in my contract. I would definitely recommend Choice Home Warranty.

I'm a customer of CHW since 2019 and have no major claims, although I did have a fridge they should've replaced since their contractor couldn't repair it. They didn't, cause they said it was due to neglect because the pic that was sent showed dust on the coils, which were actually covered with the fridge cover plate before the tech took the pic. They assumed it was uncovered, even though the problem was the result of "normal wear & tear." Once I realized they thought it was uncovered the whole time it was too late. It was only uncovered when it was removed by their repairman while diagnosing it. So I paid for a new fridge ($1200).
But now I have another issue with my furnace that they can't repair so it needs to be replaced. Their contract will only cover up to $3000 at their discretion and the remainder of the costs for the furnace and labor is on me or they will replace it with one of equal value. So I paid all these ($85) monthly bills for almost 6 yrs (thousands of dollars) and now when I need them, all they will pay toward my furnace is $2600. They're garbage as far as I'm concerned.

I was only given 300+ on a wall oven that cost over 3000.00 This will not replace my oven. The repairman was extremely nice but I'm sure he didn't determine the amount of money to replace the oven. Which is no longer being sold. Unfair, yes. I hope this not how you treat all your customers.

The technician, Matt, sent to my home to repair my Samsung washer was excellent, courteous, professional, punctual. My top load washer leaded several times prior to calling for repairs. Matt took the time to check out the washer in all situations and, like often happens, the washer didn't leak. Whether the washer was fully loaded, I was using extra rinse at the time or whatever, who knows. I informed Matt that since I had eight months remaining on my present contract I would definitely keep an eye on it. If something evolves during the remaining time I would definitely request Matt.
During my three year contract I have requested help four, times; one for dryer, microwave, refrigerator freezer and washer. I was pleased with results on dryer, and freezer on refrigerator. I wasn't pleased with microwave results as Choice bought out, which I had never heard off and had I not had a son and son-in-law visiting at the time I would have been out the cost of installing new microwave and removal of same. This would have cost me about three hundred dollars - just for the microwave. Again, Matt excellent.

He recommended a vent cleaning company that was affordable and then I was able to compare with other companies. This helped me use an affordable cleaner. Overall, I'm satisfied with the washing machine claim. The machine could not be fixed, a check for a new machine was sent several weeks later. The cost of a new like washer did not include delivery and haul off which was extra. I felt that these costs should have been included, the policy states repair or replacement. Replacement means, if you replace, then you bring it out and haul the old away. That didn't occur!

I was asked to appeal a denied claim. The appeal was not successful. The denial was not justified as there was no exclusion or other reason to deny it. I had to pay for the completion of project which is a hardship for me. Because of this, I a giving a neutral rating. In the past my experience with Choice was a positive one.

Choice Home Warranty: Definitely Not Recommended. I previously had a great home warranty company, but due to increasing restrictions by my state, they were forced to stop providing service. After extensive research, I chose Choice Home Warranty (CHW). Big mistake. I paid $49.25 per month to cover my entire home.
Seven months in, my Asko dishwasher needed a new control panel. I filed a claim and had to use CHW's contractors. One company confirmed the control panel needed replacing with a genuine Asko part and said they’d return in a week. They didn’t. After a week of no work and unanswered texts, the contractor finally responded three weeks later, stating he was out of the country and having trouble sourcing the part.
I contacted CHW and they reassigned the repair to another company. They came out, confirmed the issue, and promised to return in a week with the part. They didn’t. After two weeks of silence, they advised me to contact CHW again. This time, CHW offered a $357 Home Depot gift card to replace my dishwasher. Not acceptable for several reasons: 1) Home Depot doesn’t carry Asko products, 2) $357 is only 1/5 of the cost of my dishwasher, and 3) I don’t support a forced relationship between CHW and Home Depot. My case was referred to a Case Relations Specialist. After a week, I was contacted and explained my situation. Though I disagreed with the settlement, I accepted a check instead of a Home Depot gift card. The transaction was processed immediately and I received the check four weeks later.
The story doesn’t end here. I contacted Asko USA and learned they only have one parts supplier in the country. The part could be ordered for $365 and delivered in five days. CHW had strung me along for two months only to opt for replacement unnecessarily. I cancelled my policy and, during the cancellation call, was told replacement isn’t like-for-like. Despite multiple attempts to retain me as a customer, my policy was cancelled. As a final blow, CHW attempted to charge my account two days early for the monthly payment due on the 20th. After unsuccessfully trying to reverse the payment, I was told to do what I like. California's strong consumer protections fortunately work in my favor.
It doesn’t end there. My son in Texas signed up with CHW at the same time. Over the same period, he submitted four claims, two of which were for: Repair of an electrical connection from the circuit breaker to an external junction box. CHW denied coverage because the circuit also powered a pool light, which wasn’t included in the plan.
Replacement of a garage door spring. CHW denied coverage due to the age of the garage door, deeming it past its end of life. He found a local company that replaced the springs and pulleys, inspected and serviced the system for $250. The repair was completed immediately and the company followed up to ensure satisfaction, even offering discounts for future services. This is how a company should operate—providing fair, honest service at reasonable prices. They will surely grow and provide jobs, all by maintaining integrity.

The electrician showed up and the first thing he did was break a panel cover that was over the kitchen light fixture. So he had to go to the hardware store to buy another one before he actually started working on our electrical problem. Then he fixed the problem but didn’t do a great job cleaning up because I had to vacuum up the floor in the kitchen since there was several pieces of the broken panel on the floor. It’s a good thing that no one cut themselves walking on the floor. Not the best experience but job was done and now the lights work in the kitchen.

My oven went bad and was told it wouldn't be covered because it was caused by NORMAL wear and tear. I have never heard of such a thing. If I didn't do anything abusive then it should be covered. Then I talked to some claim representative who was the worst person I ever talked to. So he tries to insult my intelligence by offering me a $100.00 towards my claim. I told him I was cancelling my policy and he didn't seem to care. I don't know if I will receive my 100.00 now. In my opinion this was the biggest scam I have seen and then not take care of the issue.

I want to give 5 stars for CHW for taking actions quickly but I’m disappointed that we have to wait 5 days before we can have Hot water on a cold weather due to the longer processing time to have the plumbing company to install the water heater because of busy schedules. The only problem we had was the power went out in the neighborhood. He tested the different parts and found the problem, went to parts store and got the parts needed and replaced them. After the power came back on I turned the dryer on and it is working now. The repair man was very good and helpful. He checked my main breaker box to make sure it was good. We ask neighbors and their power was out too.

Technician called in the issue. Choice declined saying the unit was still under warranty when that was false. It expired 6 months earlier. So I have ended up paying the technician you sent and will likely have to pay more based on what he discovered. As soon as I discovered this, I called my assigned agent but another took the call. They noted I had to send them on Carrier Inc letterhead the fact the warranty expired. I quickly went online and produced the warranty record and uploaded it to the Choice site as recommended. It is noted I would hear something on my appeal within 24 to 48 hours.
It has been more than 24 as of this note. My assigned agent has not even called. Hopefully this will get taken care of promptly. BTW, the agent I spoke to was not very nice when I asked questions. He gave me the serial number and model info and spoke too fast. I had to stop him multiple times to ensure I got the right number. As it turned out he was one short on the number described to me. I had to find it on my outside unit.

However, I got notice from Choice Home Warranty stating the dishwasher's issue had nothing to do with "normal" wear and tear. I was not happy with the amount of money I was given to replace my old refrigerator. I could not find a replacement nowhere near the amount of money I was given. In their initial e-mail they said they would give me one equitable to what I already had but when I talked to the case worker it was an entirely different story. As I told her I didn't care about them sending me the check I wanted them to get me a refrigerator. This is false advertisement. Each time I have used the service the technician has never had the parts needed on hand which entails another downtime for the appliance. With my plumbing issue, I had to get the needed part myself. When I had my refrigerator serviced the technician made 2 or 3 extra appointments in order to get parts. When he couldn’t repair the refrigerator he gave up and Choice gave me an allowance of money to replace the refrigerator at Lowe’s. I felt it unfair they dictated where I had to buy the replacement plus it took almost a month to get the Lowe’s voucher.
I was without use of the refrigerator for over a month from start to finish. That was unfair. In ending my evaluation it seems it takes too long to get repairs done. Getting appointments are fine and the technicians come when they are scheduled. It just takes too long for the technicians to complete their work. Other than the time factor, I am currently satisfied with Choice but the time issue causes the 3-star rating.

I had a quality name brand Jandy pool pump. I was assured when the policy was issued that the components would be replaced with the same brand that was existing. Or a component of similar cost and quality. That is not what is happening my $2,000 pool pump is scheduled to be replaced with a $500 Builders grade pump. I have a recorded conversation of salesperson from Choice Home Warranty saying that they will always replace with the same product or something better. I am not at all satisfied and I want someone to call me back.

Built-in microwave had completely shut down. Put in a claim with Choice warranty.. Within an hour, spoke to technician and set up an appointment. I got absolutely no help from Choice Home Warranty after hours on the phone. Choice closed my claim while the part was ordered to my house and the technician stood in my kitchen but couldn’t complete the repair after paying the deductible on the first visit. At this point I was so disgusted I offered to pay the deductible again but I was told I would have to pay the entire amount of over $300. I had to open a second claim and pay the deductible again to have the repair completed. Both technicians were great and very apologetic since it took 5 months to get my ice maker replaced. So far a big waste of a lot of money.

One rejection to fixing for stove, however, the technician just described the problem incorrectly and got rejected. Practically impossible to argue against rejected claims. When I call to correct the record for rejection to claim processor was rude and didn’t answer any questions. It just rejected to speak to me treating me like I was an idiot. However, other than that experience, the rest of the service has been great.

My LG front-load clothes washer developed a hole in the gasket/diaphragm. After submitting the claim Choice took over 48 hours to locate a vendor. Once the vendor was located it was going to be another 6 days before the clothes washer would be repaired. I ended contacting the repair person direct. Requested they stop out as soon as possible to diagnose the problem (easily identified - hole in the gasket). Once confirmed, told by the repair tech it would take another 5-14 days for a part. Unacceptable, especially when LG parts are available from online appliance suppliers/vendors. Too long of a process and no follow-up from Choice.

Moe was great on the phone today. I was a bit frazzled today when I received an email renewal from my present Home Warranty company (AHS) with a 50% increase in monthly premiums! Moe knew exactly what I was going through and he then walked me through the Choice Home Warranty pricing and coverage. The service person came, went through the whole microwave to figure out what was wrong, told me that he had the report back, what he found and that I would be hearing back. This is not my first experience filing a claim with Choice. My first one was dragged out for months and resulted in a reimbursement which was less than half of the expense I incurred to get a replacement. This time the decision to deny my claim came as the technician was leaving my house. Clearly, Choice warranty claims to have superior coverage but in reality will do anything not to pay out a claim. I will tell everyone to steer clear of purchasing a warranty through Choice. It is not worth the money or headache.

Stay away from Choice Home Warranty. I just had an electric water heater go bad. Choice Home Warranty sent a technician and I paid the service call fee. Next I get an email from Choice Home Warranty saying “Congratulations your claim is approved” and that the non-covered costs to install the new water heater would be $568!!! How absurd! What good is a home warranty when you’re required to pay that kind of money for “non-covered installation costs”??? I could buy a water heater at Lowe’s and install it myself, all for less than $568. I also paid extra to have my hot tub covered under my warranty policy but when it broke CHW would not repair it. I will certainly not be renewing my policy with CHW.

The WORST home warranty company I've ever dealt with. I chose it because it was the cheapest, but I guess "You get what you pay for" is true. They will send a technician who comes in his own vehicle with a small tool box (that anyone pretty much has) who's unable to fix issues, and they'll deny your claim after having you pay the service fee. It takes a while to get a tech scheduled, too -- not sure if that's because they're looking for cheap/unreliable technicians.

Regarding my dryer the tech was very nice and professional from Appliance Dr regarding Claim#**. My only complaint is 3 weeks to resolve/repair my dryer is to long. Also his arrival time was an hr late. Regarding Claim #** (washing machine) I hope I receive my check within 1 month to replace my washing machine. Regarding Claim #** filed today 10/17/24 I hope my heating system is repaired asap now with temperatures dropping into the lower 40s at night.

Appliance stopped working on Friday morning for about 2 hours and then started up again. When tech came out on Monday computer showed no errors so there was nothing to repair. He said that if it happened again within 30 days he would come out again to check it..

My HVAC failed overnight, cause unknown. I submitted a claim for service that morning. I received a response within the hour, the tech arrived before 9am and serviced my system fixing the fault and leaving within 20 minutes. I am 74 years old, prior to this past year I was an ardent subscriber to a competing service that has gone downhill. I switched just last year, this was my first service request, and it was the fastest service response I have ever received for repair of anything before this.

We have had to file two claims in the past 3 to 4 weeks. First, our oven and stove top were having issues with not preheating above 375 degrees and two burners were coming on when one particular burner was turned on. Then our washer stopped working and the door was locked with laundry inside. We filed a claims for both and the same appliance repair was sent for both claims. He was very knowledgeable about the appliances and fixed both of them without any issues. We would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I had an issue October 2024 with my gas furnace not turning on. Choice scheduled a technician to check it out and he realized the problem and thought that my furnace was too old to recommend fixing what was wrong. He sent the information in to Choice and the next day Choice approved a new gas furnace for me. I'm just waiting now for it to be installed on October 24th. I have to pay $1746 in other charges to get installed but it's still cheaper for me than buying a new one outright. I'm satisfied. Choice also did the same type of replacement for my air conditioner 2 years ago. I've had Choice since 2011. I'd recommend Choice Home Warranty. They've been good to me.

The technician was great! I am still to receive the gift card to Lowe's for my replacement oven. I spoke with Choice on 10/16/24, and the rep told me that she would email my gift card at that moment, and it's still not there. So I will call again today to see what needs to be addressed.

Choice chose NOT to replace our malfunctioning water heater, claiming it was broken when we moved in! We’re still using it, so I must disagree. Repeated calls and explanations were to no avail! Very disappointing! This is not the “warranty” help we were expecting! I would recommend you read all of the fine print before committing!

Technician came a day late. Took 1 week to get someone to come out after I reported the issue. Tech was nice, CHW sucks. Having a home warranty is not worth the hassle. The process needs to be quicker, I had no heat for a week in 30 degree weather.

I had this home warranty in my house and It seems good to have. I considered securing my investments and having all the home warranties when I started my rentals. One of my rental unit furnaces broke and they come and replace the new one. It is "win-win". I recommend everyone to have this kind of warranty. I hate when I have a specific question and it takes me 10 minutes to get through the automated line to speak to a live person. AI can't do everything. You still need a live staff that can speak clear English without a heavy accent. You think you are saving money, but you aren't because your clients get frustrated and go to another carrier.

Signing up with Choice Home Warranty was very easy. I had one bad experience. It was for my washing machine and Choice sent somebody out from Sears and he said he had to get a new part and I waited and waited. It took several months until I finally contacted Choice Warranty again and again and said, "This is not gonna work. You gotta get me somebody else." The rest were positive experiences. The techs have always been very polite and got the job done.

This warranty company is terrible. They give you the run around on claims. They only cover 3000.00 for air conditioner units and all components in a 12 month period. This doesn't even come close to touching close to the cost. When I spoke to the person that sold me the policy originally, they lead me to believe that I would have a peace of mind of knowing that I would be out of pocket very little. That is and has not been the case. There are much better warranty companies out there that coverage limits are higher. Buyer beware!!!!

Avoid Choice Home Warranty – Untrustworthy and Deceptive. I am extremely disappointed with Choice Home Warranty and strongly advise against using this company. From the start, they were untrustworthy and deceptive. Despite having a valid contract with a previous company, they failed to inform me that I didn’t need to go through a 30-day grace period.
The CEO is unresponsive, and all their case managers have done nothing but waste my time. I filed a pool/spa claim over a month ago, and they've been lied to me repeatedly. The first contractor delayed the appointment for over a month, then claimed I wasn’t home — even though I have security camera footage proving otherwise. The second contractor didn’t show up after a 10-day delay. When the third finally came, they denied my claim, citing physical damage instead of normal wear and tear, even though the equipment is over 10 years old. Today, they reiterated the same denial, blaming the issue on motor failure.
This company has terrible communication and constantly lies, making the situation worse instead of resolving the problem. They failed to guide me on maintaining my previous warranty when I signed with them, breaching their contract. Choice Home Warranty has treated me poorly, and their dishonesty is appalling. I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs. They remain in breach of contract, and I am considering legal action for the material, health risks, and damages they have caused me and my family.

The policy was misleading when sold to me. I specifically asked for pool and spa coverage. In the policy, it shows Pool/Spa, but in the fine print, it didn't cover the spa pump. So in reality I just have pool coverage. You should change the policy verbiage or ensure that both are covered completely.

I Filed a claim on 10/2 for a water leak, as a laymen person, It is not my responsibility to determine where the leak is coming from. They schedule a time with a contractor. He comes and didn't do a thorough exam and determined it was the garbage disposal and my claim was closed, and another one had to be opened, same contractor, same pictures used but they said I had to pay another service fee as it was a different system. Same problem water on the floor, how it is resolved is the company's issue not mine. Garbage disposal replaced and still water leak. I had to talk to multiple reps, as the one hung up on me, when I said I was staying on hold until a supervisor was available.
Third time out they did find the leak, but didn't have the adequate equipment to determine where it is. Need a camera and scope. Choice Warranty doesn't want to send the appropriate tech out with the appropriate equipment, just said to contact homeowner insurance. The root cause still has not been determined. I requested a case manager, received one. Scheduled a time to chat, they didn't show up and canceled the appointment 10 mins after it was suppose to start.

The Hot Water Heater is almost 30 years old and the only thing that was noticed was a cracked cap, see photo. How can this be considered "physical damage" no other signs of and not "normal wear and tear" of a unit of this age. We appealed the decision but still no written diagnosis and the Technician has not responded to us since he came to inspect. Still denied. We are very disappointed and we do not recommend Choice Home Warranty.

I have had other home warranty companies before and Choice is the worst. My hot water heater went out after having the warranty in place for some time, By the time I paid the deductible they made me also pay of the installation and on top of that it took 16 days to get a new one installed. The first assigned plumbing company set 6 appointments and never held any only after I called and complained did I finally get someone to come out. By the time I paid all the charges they required me to pay I was only 92.00 below me going to Home Depot and buying the hot water heater and hiring a local plumber to install. Which I could have gotten installed in a day not 16 days.

John and Cameron arrived on time after calling 30 minutes before arriving. They were friendly and went right to work. They replaced my faucet which had rusted out and was leaking. They worked fast and I was completely satisfied with their repairs. They cleaned up the work site and the floor and accomplished all the repair in 1 hour and 10 minutes. I would recommend them for any plumbing job.

I switched to CHW after being with my previous home warranty provider for 15 years. The CSR was extremely helpful and took his time in explaining their policies in detail. They beat the competitor's price in both monthly charges and the service fee. All while offering more coverage for the things that are actually important. Will see if they stand the test of time.

Didn't receive the equivalent to the old faucet, new faucet didn't come with the pull up push down sink stop that on the top of the faucet as the old one. Not as convenient as old faucet. Would have preferred the pull up push down model, thanks in advance.

I had been dealing with a stoppage in my son's sink for a few weeks. To no avail nothing with clear drain. The plumber whom I dealt with before was in and it cleared in matter of minutes. Would not recommend Home Choice Warranty to anyone. They were slow to find a technician, and did not cover the cost of repairs. This is the 3rd claim I submitted, but 1st that was somewhat fulfilled. The first was denied because they don’t cover Septic Tank pumping, even though the salesman sold me on 1 pump a year. The second was for A/C not working in July, they took 2 days to find a technician who could come fix it 2 weeks later, I ended up just canceling and fixing it myself. Finally I claimed my Water Heater Tank leaking, they still took well over 24 hours to get a technician, then did not cover even 50% of the full cost of replacement. Use a different warranty company. Technician that replaced Water Heater was great, would recommend Fix It Pro Maintenance Services LLC and would use them in the future.

I have been with this warranty for 4 years. Majority of the time when my Appliance is broken the technician have to come back again so therefore I am paying $75 + 75. Too expensive. When talking to customer service my problem was not resolved. Seems like she only listen and restates the policy instead of fixing the issue. I will not be renewing warranty for next year.

I had a sink that was leaking. Most plumbers would charge at least $200 if not more, but because I had Choice Home Warranty it was fixed in less than 1/2 hour and it only cost $85. I have also got my dryer fixed as well for the same low price. They come to your home according to your availability. Yes it's a 4 hour window but like I said it was done right.

They were slow but finally got it all done...Mark and Brandon was his helper. They had to try 3 times to get drain open and 2 times to stop faucet leaks...Had to replace seals for second time...First seals did not work...Made tube drain faster and stopped faucet leak...Both were slow leaks and drain slow.

It would be much better to offer 2 service repair options. I love your quick response but only having 2 days to plan for a service repair date is difficult. I work and already have my calendar scheduled. I’ve called the repair company but they never return phone calls. 2 days notice is far too short of notice unless the repair is for AC or heat. Please offer 2 free dates prior to scheduling the repair.

Received 2nd day service, a Sunday was between, so that was good time response. Our repairman was courteous and professional. Satisfied with results. After diagnosis, He was able to complete the repair in several minutes as he had the replacement part, a fuse in his van. Very pleased with the service. Our dryer is up and running again. Our repairman was very personable in addition to being knowledgeable. Nowadays it's nice having someone pleasant to deal with.

Horrible issues getting any service. I went 3 weeks with a newborn without any AC service much less, horrible customer service. Not happy with the company, eventually they did come through but ridiculous. I was told several times that they were elevating the issue to get a service technician out faster but that didn't happen. It took me calling the company and speaking directly to a manager in order to get anything done. This is ridiculous.

Your product was not explained in detail. Not until I paid and received a detailed description of coverage was it clear that the policy sold to me was worthless. I cancelled within 10 minutes and will never do business with you or recommend you to anyone. Your salesman never confirmed the square footage of my home or explained the number of units that are covered. Most larger homes have double ovens, additional refrigerators, two HVAC units, several garage door opens, more than one disposal, etc. These type questions should be asked during your sales pitch.

After canceling appointment medical to be here from 3 to 8 they decided to change appointment at 4pm to tomorrow 3 to 8. No explanations, tech won't answer phone. I called Choice Warranty claims department, I was told either be here for 2nd appointment or another provider will be contacted and another 24hr wait. We are both in our late 60s with chronic illnesses, temperatures in house 83 with fans running, we need solutions not excuses.

Bad Contractor. Did Not diagnose with tools. He said he had experience and he can tell just by listening to my furnace. He was quick to leave after 10 minutes, if I didn't ask him questions He would have left sooner. He quickly asked for the $60 deductible and left out the door without giving me a receipt or invoice and diagnosis report.

The last time they came they charge me service and never came back to fix problem. When I informed them, they argued with me and I lost the service fee. Now will see how CHW. I had called first to inquire if my situation, deteriorating gaskets in toilet, would be covered. I explained they had not yet started to leak but I was trying to prevent that problem. I was told that yes this would be covered so I initiated a claim. Technician CHW sent was great and agreed that the gaskets were failing. When he called for authorization, CHW denied the claim since there was no water leakage yet.

We had an air-conditioning unit replaced and they came earlier than the allotted time and finished and did a wonderful job. Very professional. I would use them again in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed. Choice warranty is the way to go. They’re very professional and they get the job done.
