The initial appointment took over a month to happen, but we got a very good technician. Our follow up appointment for the actual repairs still has not been scheduled. It's been two weeks since the initial appointment. We understand it takes time but this is a constant pattern with Choice Home Warranty.

This is my first claim using CHW. The referral to the repair service was fairly quick. Although the The Clockwise Plumbing response was delayed for a day, service technicians (Gary & Eli) were very courteous, professional, and gave helpful preventative advice. I had read some of the reviews and didn't expect too much; however, the Overall, excellent service.

Within an hour of filing a claim, a service repair company picked up the job. Within 1 1/2 days, the heater was fixed. The repair went quickly and a part was reinstalled. The technician arrived promptly and explained what was going on with my HVAC system. He had a replacement part in his truck. Within an hour, the system was running well. Thank you.

The technician was very knowledgeable with the issue I was having. He explained everything in layman's terms so I could understand. I was very happy with the outcome of this project. I hope to use him again if the need arises. It is helpful knowing I have my major appliances covered if the need arises.

Very dissatisfied regarding CHW not approving to fix my heater which needed two replacement parts to get hot water as soon as possible. After having a warranty for so long. Paying out of pocket as a widow on a fixed income was truly unacceptable for me to consider recommending anyone. Your policy should be evaluated not as a one size fits all. After speaking to a supervisor I was given some help. I should not have had to pay for another heater so that I could have hot water of the holiday. Very dissatisfied regarding this matter.

Michael of Airborn Service Plumbing arrived early, proceeded to diagnose the faucet problem as he explained his logic reasoning and within a short time discovered the blockage of a filter in the connecting hose causing the problem. He also discovered a potential problem which we might have suffered with our dishwasher and corrected it. He is the best.

I submitted the microwave claim on the 10th, no one came on the 13th, I reported it again on the 14th. No one came. I called and the rep said 24-48 MORE hours to respond. I asked to speak to a manager and she intentionally hung up on me. I called back 3 times and finally got a manager that helped me. Finally on the 19th the technician from Whirlpool came and said the part is no longer manufactured. It's been 3 days and still no follow up. It’s the 23rd. Awful!

So far this year I had issues with my shower system not working properly. I got it repaired very quickly. Before this I had issues with my water heater and was able to get it replaced promptly. They have been quick to react to service request and send the necessary personnel to get the job done.

The two men that were sent to our home yesterday, were very professional. Upon entering our home they took their shoes off which I did not expect and I told them that it was alright if they did not take them off. The work they did was perfect. Service representative came a day early. Mr. ** unstopped the bathtub, ran water to let me see water moving freely and it doing so. Mr. ** was pleasant and he explained to me the problem. After he was done I asked for a receipt for service fee $85 and he said, I would receive it by email. I have not. I want a receipt, please reach out to the contractor. Thanks

My call was answered promptly. Very nice lady took my info quickly. She was very friendly and explained what would happen next. She gave me a chance to explain everything. She made sure I had paper and pencil ready. And then gave me my claim number. Repeating it for me to make sure I had it correct.

I had a wall microwave completely stop working. I was only offered $199 the WHOLESALE for what they called a 'COMPARABLE' replacement. The lowest price on a replacement unit was $850 + $300 for the trim kit to mount unit in the wall, not including labor to install! This company no longer has technicians available, thus the reason a $199 voucher was offered. I escalated the situation to a case mgr but was told this is the best they can do & the resolution is per contract. I find this unacceptable and do not recommend this home warranty, nor any other company.

Very Informative assistance with choosing my home warranty coverage. The coverage options were reviewed very well in detail. Microwave heats well 2 out 3 times, but you never know when it doesn't until you take the food out and have to put it back.
I machine is not producing enough ice. It never gets half way to the shutoff wire. Some difficulty in properly explain the ice maker and the manufacturer.

The experience was ok. The plumber was flexible with my time frame but my toilet seat was cracked and when I asked about it he said no they don’t fix that. I asked him to please check and he didn’t. Another issue I had was that he didn’t take credit cards. I think we should be notified if someone comes out to do work and doesn’t take credit cards.

We have been first SEARS, then Choice Home Warranty customers. We have waited up to a week for service a few times, but we have NEVER been disappointed in the repairmen who have come to our home, or the quality of their work. Twenty years of service without complaint. We both remain happy and confident in the Choice Home Warranty service.

Even though my claim has been denied because the parts for my front load pedestal are no longer available, I would recommend Bradley Appliance Repair to anyone. Brad is fine technician and very honest. And Lori called me this morning regarding the claim, which was very efficient for a small company.

I now have had to enter a NEW Claim because the pool equipment is leaking (badly) after the repair was done to the pool pump. I never had leaking issues before the repair and now I'm told it's a "new" issue. All of the issues should have been investigated and repaired the first time.

Appointment was very easy to set and service rep that came out was great. My washer could not be fixed and Choice made a offer for replacement right away and it was a fair amount but I think it is insane that it will take up to a month to get a egiftcard. This is all electronic and should only take a couple of days at most. Now I cannot even shop for a new washer for up to a month and then wait for delivery. Looks like I might have to wait to next year to do laundry.

High View Plumbing sent Greg, plumber to fix the leak. Greg was professional, helpful and knowledgeable about the plumbing issues. Greg had been here recently to fix a problem in our half bath. I knew when I saw him that he would do a good job for me. He fixed the leak in our master bathroom where the leak was and now everything is fixed! If I have any issues with plumbing I would like High View Plumbing to come fix any problems that I have!

This is the 2nd time making a claim with Choice Warranty. I am a first time homeowner and that comes with a huge responsibility. Fortunately I chose this company for extended home warranty and I am so grateful I did. The both times I have had an issue a tech shows up the following day, and my issue is resolved in days! I'm looking to extend the service if given the option. 100% recommend.

I had an emergency water leak. I was going to call a plumber as I needed the issue resolved quickly but figured let me see if Choice will work out. Within 20 minutes of submitting claim, a plumbing company was on the phone with me letting me know they would be there within 2-6 hours. They came within 2.5 hours and had the issue resolved in about 40 minutes. Thanks again to Choice for miraculously saving the day!

The technician was great!! The communication with Choice Home Warranty was awful... After denying a claim for $156.00 dollars for stupid reasons, and then me asking to cancel my membership... thus they approving it immediately.... What the heck!? No... I would definitely recommend the tech, but not Choice Home Warranty.

Our microwave went down and the next day someone was out looking at the problem. After an hour troubleshooting and trying to fix it, they needed to order a part. The next day we got an email offering money to just replace the 17 year old appliance. We accepted that offer, found a new microwave at Best Buy and we lived happily ever after. :) Appreciated the prompt service, quick decision making and reasonable resolution.

The guy was on time. He informed me as to the problem. Found out that everything was not covered by Choice Warranty. Had to replace everything out of my pocket. The guy was very pleasant and professional. Enjoyed having him take care of my garage door opener. Not sure why I'm still using Choice Warranty. They don't cover anything. That a person can use. Still waiting on a different claim. I'm sure they won't cover that either.

Smart Choice Heating & Cooling Services was the company to fix my heater. The Tech was Aboel that came to repair the heater. He called to let us know that would arrive to our house between 3pm to 8pm, but he was here by 3:40 or so. Again he called to say he was on his way to us and gave a time he should arrive. Great customer service from the start to the end. We have had some very bad companies sent for our claims and most were not good at customer service nor professional. In fact I have a old water heater that had to be replace and the company left it there. So Smart Choice was great and want them to fill all my request for heater, A/C and/or water heater repair and maintenance needs.

After telling a salesperson calling me at 6:am and telling them I was unable to talk about it and could he call me back. He refused to take no for an answer. And was very rude with his comments. Sometimes the claims process is good but there were times I've had issues. When our furnace broke down in the middle of the wintertime, they said somebody would get here in about a week. But it might be cold in a week in the middle of the wintertime so I had to hire somebody to come out and do it. After arguing with Choice a number of times, they did give me some money to pay for the repair. Recently, I had a refrigerator claim where the magnetic seal came out and then the other door would close on it and seal the refrigerator. They weren't gonna pay for that and I had to challenge that too. They were saying it was not mechanical but I said that it was. It was a metal piece on a hinge and it was mechanical and it was broken. It wouldn't close all the way when we close the door where it was supposed to be, the way it was supposed to work.
Also, the tech didn't even replace that part. I called him a number of times because he came and he replaced one of the seals on one of the doors of the refrigerator and he said he didn't think that was part of the problem. I called him a couple of times but he ghosted me. But we've had other issues and Choice fixed those and did it very nicely. They came out quick, they fixed the problem, and everybody was happy.

We live in the Kansas City, Missouri Metro area (28 min to downtown) - We filed a claim for our freezer not freezing and making a loud noise. Opened a ticket 10/30/24. They scheduled a technician to come out. He didn't show up. We called the company and he came out the next day. When he was trying to figure out the issue he pulled up YouTube on his phone. He had no idea how to fix it. He said, don't put much in it and it should start freezing. UM WHAT? It wasn't even very full. Well when he filled out his report he only mentioned the noise. Long story longer - we called and had to have them come out again. Of course he was a NO SHOW. Then the next day the company said, "We can't reach him either, just have CHW send someone else".
SOOOO we called and requested another technician. By this time it was 11/9/24. We made over a dozen calls. Keep getting the runaround! Called the main number 888-531-5403 (they have no ability to do anything but were nice enough to transfer me to the Resolution Team 800-496-8316) - Spoke with **. ** was nice and asked me to give the Dispatch Team time to find someone. I asked Jimmy to contact the Dispatch Team and provide me with who their authorized partners are in Kansas City. He said he had no way to do that. I also called the Office of the President 732-913-3665... Spoke with **- He was SO RUDE! Not helpful and said I had 2 choices - wait until they find someone or I could find my own person and they would reimburse me up to $300. I explained to him that I had read all the reviews online and it is a NIGHTMARE to get them to reimburse you so I declined that option.
I asked ** if he could contact the Dispatch Team and provide me a few companies I could call that they partner with in Kansas City. He said, "No, I told you what your options are". Well over the next 11 days, I called every day. Spoke to ** 3x - he was rude and yelled! Spoke with ** today and he got rude and yelled. As of today they said they found a technician in IOWA (3 1/2 HOURS away) that will drive to Kansa City on Sunday, December 1st between 3pm-8pm. I said, WHAT? Seriously? You are sending someone from a different state over 3 hours away on a Sunday and all he will be able to do is say, "yep it isn't freezing"... Then what? We wait another month to get it fixed? So now I have to go through Thanksgiving and more than likely Christmas without the ability to buy food to freeze? Basically the Office of the President (who can do nothing) ** & ** can yell at customers and they can't even give me names of people in Kansas City?
BEWARE!!!! Don't waste your money. If they don't even have someone in Kansas City, Missouri or the state of Missouri...it is horrible! All I'm asking is for them to give me a list of people they partner with in the area. Why is it a secret? Do they even have anyone? Next stop is Stat Atty office, BBB, ConsumerAffairs, Atty General that handles 2147 Route 27 South, 4th floor, Edison, NJ 08817 and their "president' and I put that in small letters because I read on a lot of sites he doesn't really care and laughs when you call him (they have his personal number listed on websites - I didn't call it because I wouldn't be that rude and I know it wouldn't make a difference) ** - email ** and the "vice president" **.

Thoroughly checked the fridge and was able to identify the problem - which wasn't the one we had anticipated. Was then able to make appropriate repairs which, so far, have proved to be what was needed and completed to our satisfaction. Clean worker and explained to us exactly what he had done. Be very happy to use his services again.

I was amazed by the fast service I received. I emailed my service request in the early morning and before noon, I was contacted by the plumbing company and an appointment was set for the next day! The technician arrived on time (actually ahead of time), and worked competently replace the Moen shower valve. Work was cleanly and efficiently done. I am very pleased with how both my home and me was treated.

I was happy with the plumber. He was quick and kept his appointment time. He cleaned up everything after he was finished. Things went smoothly and I would recommend his services to anyone needing a plumber. I don't know what else to say but service was professional and prompt. I would use his services again if needed.

Though initial response and technician diagnosis went without a hitch, the eventual denial for authorizing repair of the refrigerator interior led lighting was not what was expected. Contract specified in clause C7 that ALL refrigerator components were to be covered. Using an arbitrary interpretation of clause E10 - Electronic or computerized energy management or lighting and appliance management systems... dispute of claim was denied. Therefore I will obtain requisite parts and perform the repair. This is not the first time a "loophole" was used to deny a simple repair. Still waiting on claim update from the Choice case manager and the scheduling of technician to accomplish approved repairs. Having paid good money for this warranty agreement, I was not expecting this turn of events.

Reimbursement for money spent for a replacement/repair issue should not be based on prior approval from CHW since, in most cases, this is an emergency situation and there is not enough time to go through the claim process before the replacement/repairs are underway or completed. I am very disappointed with myself for not reviewing the fine print and with CHW for making it more difficult to have repairs/replacements done in a timely manner. I hope that CHW reviews that policy in regards to reimbursement since most of us purchased the insurance for just such emergencies.

Thankfully it turned out to be a GFI that had tripped. Your automated phone system was not easy to work with. Then saw email the next morning on who would be coming to my house and no one contacted me on whether it was a small problem or not. Also no one informed me that service call would be 100 not the 85 I thought it was. Lady on phone told me that some calls won't come out for less than 100. Would be nice to know.

He is definitely an asset to the HVAC company represented for this service call. Although I am disappointed in Choice regarding covering failed items, it is in no way attributable to the excellence of the technician.

Mason's Air Control came in and quickly analyzed the problem. Gave me good advise on how to resolve my problem. I felt like they took great care in assisting and educating me on what was going on with my unit. I would definitely recommend and use their services again. The pumping company called OSP Plumbing took its time to respond with a date and time (a week after the claim was placed). The window of time for the work was from 8am- 12, while Choice Home care was 7am- 11. The company got a little testy when I called to confirm window of time and would not tell me a more specific hour.

He and his team were very professional and were flexible with rescheduling the time window, which was important for getting my kids on time from aftercare. They were persistent and determined to identify with my heating system and remedy the problem. If I happen to have another issue arise with my heating system I will request their services and hope that Choice sends them again!

CHW stands on business. I made a service call on SUNDAY Nov. 17, 2024 and by Monday Nov. 18th, they emailed me a technician would be out Tue. Nov. 19th. Very impressed with speedy service. It's ironic, the person that referred me to them passed away.

Upon the observed stoppage I immediately called Choice Warranty to set up a case and get a repairperson. Note, I live approx. 7 miles from a larger populated town that has plenty of plumbers. Upon repeated inquiries (approx. several days) Choice could not find a plumber. I called a previously used plumbing co. and they had a plumber in my town finishing up a job and sent him to my home, where he fixed the problem in less than an hour, Choice emailed me and gave a date of Oct 26 for the repair. Since I did not adhere to their protocol for using a technician without their approval. Choice initially said they would not pay any portion of the plumber's fee,. Under the circumstances they relented and are giving me $150 (I paid the Plumbing Company $295).

A constant leaky kitchen faucet Late at night to find water leakage on countertop had to resort to turn supply line off, at times it would stop on its own, then it would start again, I call about it once before, but it had stop, 2 weeks went by it Started all over again

The determination on rejecting this claim is disturbing in the facts I will discuss here. The shower pan drain is leaking that's a given. Which the tech was sent out to repair & was & would to be covered under the policy! Fact. With this fact, the tech was unable to repair the leak as it is under the shower pan. Now you refuse to stop the leak, as which was the initial goal because it is under a none covered item is ridiculous. There is no other way to stop this leak through the warranty then. I ask to re-review this case and hopefully will come the understanding that your initial findings are that it is a leak, the policy covers leaks! The fact that it can be fixed under the pan! Then by all means, fix the leak.

Technical seemed competent and professional. He lives 4-1/2 hours away and he was anxious to get on the road, so he failed to leave me a model number and serial number since he took the box away. I called him and asked him to text it to me when he got home. I has not done that. I also left him a message that the sensor kept on. No response back. I guess he felt that when he left my home he was done with my job

I was very disappointed with Choice because my HVAC unit was not working well. They said that they didn't cover that and I was very disappointed because it wasn't like it was a month after we took it out. So, it was 10 months or so. But the best thing that they were able to do was once I paid off the HVAC, they gave me $400. I like that Choice has coverage of the small things. But when it came to my HVAC system, they didn't.

The heat in our house was not starting up properly and needed a qualified service to come and fix the problem. We have had CHOICE HOME WARRANTY for several years. Whenever we had a problem with any of the covered things in our house we just had to call Choice and then had it assigned to a service that had qualified technicians who specialized in any issue we’ve had. All we paid was a small fee for the call no matter the problem it was the same fee. The Technician we had this time was knowledgeable and very pleasant explaining it to us.. I recommend CHOICE as a good choice to have your home covered.

This is the second time Kintex Plumbing has come to the rescue. Jose was the technician who came both times. He’s wonderful!! And Kintex has responded quickly to both calls. While he didn’t have the right size disposal with him, he gave me the option of immediately having a smaller unit or waiting a short time to get the correct size unit. I appreciate that he gave me the choice.

Choice Home Warranty had a lower payment per month. Submitting a claim was easy. Also, the initial claim representative was a good experience. The contractors are fine if they know what they are doing. But most of the time, they do not completely fix what needs to be fixed without me having to pay out of pocket. I had a bad experience with Choice fixing my air conditioner. They did not totally fix it. I ended up paying out of pocket for one of the repairs. It went out in the month of June, and still is not fixed to this day. When I tried to resolve the issue, Choice said I would have to pay more money out of pocket and they would not fix it. I still get the service and pay for it but I want to cancel it. I just haven't because I've had some personal issues.

Had an excellent service starting with a claim to the issue resolution. All is taken care within 24 hours. The technician from the third party company FarmulaOne Air and their customer service is excellent. I don’t even have to pay for the part that was replaced in my furnace. I certainly recommend to go with Choice Home Warranty if you’re not currently using it.

I have been satisfied with my experience with Choice Home and have referred at least one of my friends. Sometimes it does take a little longer than I would like to get someone out to my house but all of my experiences with providers have been positive. The fees seem to fluctuate so that could be tightened up for budgeting purposes but all in all I am satisfied.

Fortunately, I have not had to use CHW very often but the two or three times I have had to use CHW worked out well. Two weeks ago I had to use you because our microwave stopped working. Thanks to CHW we are dealing with Lowe's to acquire a new one, this has not gone as well as I had hoped but it is working out. Thank you for a fast response and we should have this resolved as soon as we receive our Gift Card from Lowe's.

CHW assigned a factory authorized technician who quickly diagnosed the problem and CHW handled the claim quickly with the funds to replace the old microwave. CHW will issue a gift card in the amount agreed upon for us to use to purchase a new microwave. Technician was prompt, patient and efficient.

Do not get Choice home Warranty, stay away! This company is a total rip off. Every single claim we submitted, they denied. We’ve had issues with our pool pump. They denied it. We have an issue with our upstairs heating unit, not turning on. So we paid the $85 for a technician to come out and he didn’t fix the problem. He actually made it worse. Now we have a loud noise coming from the attic and it keeps us up at night. Choice home warranty, still denied the claim, even though this was the fault of the technician. So not only does my heater upstairs does not turn on now. It makes a loud noise. This just does not seem fair at all. Please take my word. Do not trust choice home warranty. They are a fraud.

I always read the reviews of any vendor who Choice selects to send to my home. After reading the reviews posted by other Choice customers for SEBINO, I was worried. I must say my experience with them was the total opposite of everyone else. They were punctual, pleasant and professional. The agent Seth was very friendly. Gave us all the options available to him to offer. Price is very reasonable. We’ve never had a home warranty so we can’t say anything about service yet.? We will have to wait and see for our first service request. We’ve seen reviews that they are on top of it.

They have found a way to NOT honor every claim that I have ever made. I bought an older home, so I bought a warranty. This company says that they cover old appliances, systems, etc. That has not held true. I have submitted claims for old systems and newer appliances....nope...not covered for one reason or another, even with maintenance records. Having this service has been completely useless to me.

Technician was very knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. He took his time and took care of everything I asked him to do. After doing everything, he went to every room and made sure that each radiator was on. I'm not happy to have to keep on typing because my description is not being accepted although the count is over 328.

I don’t like the amount of money they offered me to replace my dishwasher. The amount does not cover the cost of buying a new dishwasher. So I disputed the amount and they said, "That's all we can give you." They based the amount on a 15 year old machine. You offered $246.00. The cheapest dishwasher at Lowe’s is $297.00. Plus you do not cover installation, that cost is $200.00. I am not happy!!!

The repair man who came yesterday did a great job. Was very nice and finished his work in a timely manner. However we have been without a dryer for 5 weeks and without a microwave for 4 weeks. We were not told the co pay had increased from $65 to $100 for each of the repairs. We called many times during this period and have never had to wait this long.

I feel that the salesman was very aggressive. I plan to reestablish my membership after the warranty expires on my house. He kept pushing until I finally agreed. I found Choice to be very helpful in the past but don’t need two warranty. I hope this works out well. I still think that the individual was not listening but the offer was very nice.

Our disposal starting leaking out the bottom on a Sunday. I filed a claim online, and had a appt scheduled for 48 hours later and was notified via email within a few hours. The Plumber completed the work very quickly and was very professional. The replacement was handled with no issues. Great service, and I would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Choice about my Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker not making ice. I received a text next day from a technician to come out and check the problem. He notified me by text when he was 15 min out. He arrived within the window of time given. He was polite and thorough in discovering the problem. A part had to be ordered. It didn't take long and the tech returned to replace the part. He was respectful of my home and very courteous.

I contacted Choice to purchase a home warranty as a house warming gift for my son. They called me relentlessly after I made my first contact and before I made a decision. They made promises pertaining to coverage enhancements when the house exceeded their limit for square feet. When I received the policy, nothing we discussed was described, as I insisted. I called multiple times and they tried to increase the price based on the size of the house, even though I was very honest from the beginning and they quoted me a price based on factual details. I continued to call demanding a corrected policy based on quoted pricing. I was told a manager would get back to me. It never happened. They pulled a bait and switch and ignored my attempts to resolve the matter. I finally called one last time to cancel the service. I wasted hours of my time trying to fix this for my son. The worse experience I have ever had with a business.

Unable to rate your creditability until I request service. I had American Home Shield for over 15 years however, the quality of the technicians sent to address a repair need left a lot to be desired. Some of the vendors were totally unqualified to work on the appliance that needed repair. Hopefully, the service companies you contract with will prove to earn a favorable rating when I need service in the future.

I just got off the phone with Ms. ** of Choice Home Warranty and she refused to refund the $1485.00 I paid for a 3-yr warranty. Her company refused to fix my Amana refrigerator and the technician Juan ** of Universal Repair in Garland TX charged me $85 and said he would order the parts and return to fix my refrigerator. I never heard from him again. Choice Home Warranty stood by him. He turned in a different report that is only visible on their end of the website. I cannot see those notes when I log into my account with them. I have requested a refund repeatedly. I do not want another technician sent by CHW in my home again. I have not been able to use their service and they have decided to keep my $1485.00.

A friend of mine recommended Choice and the first time I used it, they were responsive. The technician who came out for the service did well, which was why I renewed. I jumped on the bandwagon when they were offering a number of years and I wouldn't be going up on the service fee for a while. So, that was another incentive for me to extend my service with them. I had one experience when it took a while for the technician to call me to schedule something. But that was it. I hadn't had that particular technician anymore. Choice is a good home warranty service to invest in. I've only used the website twice and the first time that I did, I didn't have a good experience with it. But it has been a couple of years ago since I used the website and it may have improved.

Had our semi-annual central a/c maintenance last week and was told Freon level was low. Called Choice Home Warranty and they had someone out the next day. After testing the unit, they determined levels and pressure were fine. Saved over $200 by checking with Choice. Sometimes the appliance need not be repaired or replaced and just need a second opinion. Well worth the cost of the deductible.

After I provided my card he was rushing me off the phone and I asked was this total inclusive of the discount and he replied only the $75 off not the one month free because I was paying monthly not annually. HORRIBLE! I would not recommend it. My dishwasher has been broken since October 16th, and no one has yet to come out and fix it despite multiple attempts. They won't even offer me a refund, just a fake apology like they care. My faucet broke as well. I filed another claim, and the tech stopped responding. 2 broken appliances cost $150 (2 service fees), and I am still required to make monthly payments.

We've had no heat for over a week. Furnace needs replaced per technician. Haven't been kept informed of progress by the Choice company. Still don't know when the work will be done. Have a 93 year old living here with medical issues. Have explained the situation to 6 different employees and a supervisor and problem not solved yet. Very dissatisfied.

The cooling and heating system on the 2nd floor of my home wasn't working, Mr. ** of the Johnson Builders came to my house and fix the system in no time. He did an excellent job. Good work. This is a mixed bag review. Choice home warranty initially assigned a tech to my claim that never showed up, so my claim had to go through another tech assignment process, ultimately leaving my furnace out of commission for an entire week, rather unhappy about that part. The second tech who was assigned to my claim was absolutely stellar though. He identified the problem within a few minutes, was quick to grab the parts needed, and had my furnace up and running in no time flat.

I’ve been stuck with this company for 6 years—don’t make the same mistake. They rely on arbitration to avoid accountability, deny legitimate claims, and offer disingenuous customer service. In one case, they refused to replace a failing motor in our heater because it hadn’t “completely failed,” leaving us with sleepless nights and a hefty service fee. In another, a septic issue left our home unlivable for over 10 days. Their only solution was a $150 voucher, forcing us to pay most of the cost out of pocket. Even if I hire my own tech, they’ll only consider reimbursement after a month—if they approve it. Save yourself the frustration and expense—avoid Choice Home Warranty at all costs.

STAY AWAY!!! The tech said my Heater unit is over 18 years old and needs to be replaced but he was told from the Choice Home Warranty rep that they Just want him to fix the broken parts. That's ridiculous. It's an 18-year-old unit and the technician refused to fix parts on a unit that old. Now I'm stuck with no working heater still!! What's the point of a home warranty If they won't honor replacing appliances?!?

I had a slow leak in my hot water tank, Choice sent OSP to determined I needed a new one. Choice approved and OSP installed it in a timely fashion for which I was very grateful. I called OSP this morning as they have to arrange for the city of Las Vegas to approve the installation and sign off on a permit. Hope that will be accomplished today.

My three failed appliances (over 8 weeks) were repaired quickly and efficiently, but I'm puzzled over the fact that all three technicians were dispatched from another city, making travel time and distance (and cost for them) unnecessary. And the timeline for the scheduled repair was much longer than it would have been if someone from my city of residence had been dispatched. Just seems like a very silly arrangement.

I reached out to 3 or 4 companies to get pricing and plans to make a decision for what my wife/I would use. When I gave my contact information to Choice to get the price online, I was immediately called. I told them I was doing my due diligence and would reach out for clarification if needed. Since then, I have been called no less than 9 times and texted 7 times. After the 2nd time, I was assured I would be removed from their automated follow up system. After the 4th time, I asked to speak to a manager and was put on an automated line for 15 mins and eventually hung up. After the 5th day of calls/texts, I am blocking each number and now writing this review as my only recourse. This is going on abusive and something is wrong if 4 separate employees have assured me the contact would stop and it happens again 1 hour later.

Appointment made on 11/1 for 11/6 between 8-12. At 12:20, I received a call from the technician asking me what the problem was with the washer. The form I completed online indicated the problem but I told him it seemed to be an issue with the push button start. He asked me to take a picture of the service tag and send it to him to see if he had the part. He told me he didn’t want to come out if he didn’t have to. He had to order the part and the new appointment was made for 11/12. The technician who came out to install the part, different person from who I originally spoke with, did a great job. I’m just unhappy that I had to wait almost 2 weeks to get the problem resolved.

Clothes washer stopped working. I called Choice Home Warranty who sent out a Technician. He told me that Choice would be contacting me for a settlement because he couldn't repair. Next day I received an email claiming that this is not covered and I had 7 days to appeal which I did and spoke with a Norlie ** a representative of Choice. Her words were denied denied. She told me to read section A paragraph 2: "Become inoperative due to normal wear and tear." I requested to speak with someone else. She told me no one else to speak to. Why have the insurance if this is there out.

This claim was for my microwave. You determined that it would be replaced. I tried to go to the start the process and it says the process has been completed. I hadn't even opened the email until just now. Again, you want to give me a Lowe's card, however, Lowe's is the most expensive option for buying appliances, so I prefer a check.

Hello, I want to point out that since Choice could not provide a technician to come and unblock the stoppage I had in my drains, they allowed me to seek my own and then get reimbursed. Unfortunately, I will not get a refund, that is awful and bad customer service on Choice Warranty's part. The technician I chose, were friendly, informed me of available time slot due to last-minute notice. They came and ensured I was able to use my bathrooms. Especially me having IBS and 2 small kids at home. I will be considering changing to a different warranty company soon.

Satisfied with the fact that Choice was able to quickly assign a service provider to come and take look. As a result of the technician's analysis, it was recommended that it was best to replace the dishwasher (Bosch 800 series) than to repair. Of course I was not expecting to get anywhere near the amount it would cost to replace my same model but I was expecting to get something where I could buy something average. They gave me a $246 Lowes gift card. The cheapest dishwasher at Lowes is a Hotpoint for $270 (on sale), and this does not include installation or haul which adds another $250.
I really don't understand how Choice remains in business because really what they offer is mediocre service at best. The only reason I give it 2 stars in instead of 1 is because they are indeed at least fast to respond and assign a technician, but that is it. And this is not my first experience in having this type of issue with a claim, so this is their standard practice. I would not recommend Choice and would suggest others to explore other alternatives.

We had our dishwasher repaired by independent vendor because Choice couldn't get one here for 2 weeks from out of the area so they said we could choose our own and they would reimburse our out-of-pocket. We sent them all the necessary documentation and it got lost so my wife just got on me about where's that reimbursement check and we called him and they said, "Oh well we don't have those invoices on file. Please send them and we'll get you a check" and that was in September this year. Now we just had to resubmit them and they're telling us it's going to be 14 to 30 days before they can get a check to us which to us is kind of a crock because they've already failed to reimburse us for months.
We'll see how it goes with getting our hot water heater fixed. Of course it happened on the weekend where is the time before it was on a holiday weekend so with the dishwasher anyway hopefully we can get the okay by 9:00 tomorrow which will be 24 hours since I filed a claim to go ahead and get someone local here to come and get this hot water heater replaced cuz it's leaking and it's pretty well shot I think but we need someone to come look at it and get the thing going. We'll see how good choice home Warranty wants to be on this one. Hope they change my mind.

I wasn't too happy with the automated claim process and almost didn't see the reply text to tell me I'd be hearing from High View Plumbing the next day. But the young man who represented their company and replaced my badly leaking garbage disposal was wonderful. He called me when he was on his way and quickly and efficiently replaced the bad appliance. He was very nice and helped this old woman with another minor task while he was here. I'd highly recommend Kaden and High View to anyone in the Forney/Dallas area.

When I arrived home to meet with the technician, I did not like the fact that he was parked in my driveway verses parked on the street. Therefore, I could not park in my usual spot in my driveway. We had to wait one week for someone to come out. A lot of food was lost in this time. Technician was in and out in a matter of minutes without explaining anything except to wait a few hours for fridge to cool. We are into the next day and fridge is still not cooling. Hot water pipe under the sink was leaking. The plumber fixed it in about ten minutes. He called me about thirty minutes before his arrival. Arrived on time and left the area very clean. Excellent job. I have used this service about six times in the past four years. All the technicians have been top-notch!

Dave from Lee Enterprises arrived Saturday morning for an appt to check why I have no hot water. He checked out the thermostat and wires and reset the system. He walked thru the house to the kitchen and bathrooms and I am now receiving hot water throughout the house. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend him anytime. Thank you

Called Choice, they assigned a technician. The Company they assigned called and ask for a model number from the machine, I was unable to provide. I called Choice and told them. They said it was assigned and the technician was scheduled. They were a no show for the appointment, no phone call, email or text. We called Choice again and another appointment was scheduled with same company again with same results, no phone call, email or text. I canceled appointments and stayed home to wait for someone who never came.
Quite upset, I called Choice again. They scheduled someone to come on that Thursday and then we received another appointment for Friday. We called to see what was going on. Then we get a call from the company they had assigned technician on Wednesday before any scheduled appointment and ask if he could come now. I said yes. When the technician came, he was very nice and efficient, fixed the leak and left. The repair office person left a lot to be desired. She had called after two no shows and wanted to charge us extra for their service call but we had refused.

My furnace went out yesterday. The coldest day of the year so far! I immediately called Choice Home Warranty. They had a technician out here early the next afternoon. He was very nice and courteous, and answered all my questions. Shortly thereafter he texted to let me know that my claim had been approved and the furnace will be replaced.

I was having problems with my furnace running properly. I called and reported the problem. They came to the house the following day. The technician found the problem and fixed it. I now have a warm house and am very pleased with my experience. The technicians were very friendly and helpful.

Submitted a claim for a leaking expansion tank, it was approved and a service provider accepted the job. He arrived and submitted the request for approval. Shorty after it was denied because 'it wasn't due to normal wear and tear. He clearly stated it was normal wear and tear on his submission. When I spoke with case manager she said the denial was wrong and the tank simply isn't covered. I asked why it was even listed as an option to click, didn't really have an answer. Fairly confusing at this point. She was very professional and since I had paid the service fee for a denied repair, and it should have been denied when submitted, she paid the $75 to the provider. I told I was using the same provider that day as the issue still needed fixed.
At that point, I guess that was all she could do. My problem is if the claim would have been denied originally I would have called a buddy that's handy and we would have fixed it. Turns out it's just swapping the tank. My only cost would have been the replacement tank. I didn't do that because I didn't want to bother buddy and also take my time over what at the time was $75 for approved claim.

I wish the plumber could have found the leak but we tried everything. Too bad it was only after he left the one thing we did not try or think of is what caused the leak. It was the drain, not in the tub but the drain under faucet that catches the overflow.

One contractor didn’t pay payout money from Choice Home Warranty. And they owe money $2555. I was worried about that. Choice Home Warranty helped me collect money back. I appreciate it and am so happy. And They are good service and responsible for it. I recommend the company to friend and family.

Put in a claim and technician was out to look at refrigerator the next day. I was shocked because didn't expect such quick service but was for sure welcomed. Assessed quickly, ordered part which arrived within 4 days and fixed once part arrived. Refrigerator is back to normal and functioning like nothing was ever wrong with it.

I reported a sewer line backup in my basement. Fiore sewer service came quickly and resolved my problem. The technician quickly assessed what needed to be done and got right to work. He was prepared with all of the tools needed to perform the task at hand. I was very happy with the service he provided. I would request them for my future sewer clearing needs.

Extremely easy to make appointments using the online system. A repair technician was assigned rapidly. Technician, Frank, called prior to arrival. He was very experienced and diagnosed the problem very quickly.. Installed replacement part in minimum time. Machine has returned to operating condition. I really liked how I could schedule my own appointment date & time. There were no hitches along the way, I set the appointment & the technician even came 1 day earlier. He called us the day before asking if we would be home & he could come by then. It was perfect! In the past there's been too many cancellations & reschedules & no shows. Somewhat disappointed in the service company they sent out. It took a week for them to arrive the day. They sent the appointment for between 11 and three. They actually did not arrive until about 5 o'clock. No phone calls saying they would be late. A little better communication would've been nice.

This company took too long to find me a plumber so I just hired someone myself because water was steady leaking in my ceiling. Now it doesn’t look like I will be getting reimbursed for the repair because they have all these strict rules about get the repair authorized before they fix it. They took so long to find plumber. Choice Home Warranty has been "ok" for me in the past. Earlier this year, they replaced an A/C unit for me -- great, I thought! It turns out that the installation was completely botched, and the vendor is no longer reachable. The way it's installed presents a safety issue -- but after multiple attempts to ask Choice to fix their issue, they will not escalate my case to a manager/supervisor, and they say that there is nothing more that they can do for me. I mentioned to them that this is a safety issue, needs to be repaired, and they tell me that they are not responsible for their vendor's work and I should call their vendor. Their vendor is no longer reachable and out of business -- this has created more headaches and cost for me.
Furthermore, I live in South Florida. In two instances this summer, I had A/C problems during heat advisories. They were going to take a week to get someone out to fix it, so both times, I had to get my own vendor. Not satisfied at all -- there's no way to escalate cases and actually get problems resolved. I think their service has gone downhill. I will not be renewing with them. If a manager wants to get in touch with me, I'm happy to revise this review if the issue is fixed.

I spoke with your claims department on Tuesday and a claim was submitted. A technician came by on Wednesday, looked at the heater and said he would let the claims department know. If my claim was correct they would authorize repairs. It is Friday and no repairs have been done.

Request for service submitted on Saturday, 11/9, response received within an hour that the work order would be assigned. Within 24 hrs notice received that a contractor had been assigned and shortly after we received notice from the contractor that we were scheduled for Monday afternoon. The contractor kept us informed of his arrival time and arrived exactly as scheduled. Part had to be ordered, job completed 11/15. Communication with contractor was excellent, keeping us informed of all aspects of job. Professional, friendly and courteous.

As an 75 year old consumer I tried the “online” application and it was a process that I had some difficulty with. When I had entered all my information and just wanted to read the “warranty language” I tried to go back to agree to it and lo and behold all my information had disappeared. I’m sure it was only because I didn’t understand the “online” process due to my advanced age. So I called to main telephone number and everything was corrected and settled within minutes. My suggestion: if you’re not comfortable on the computer “online” process make the phone call. It is so much easier and far less time consuming.

My claim for an electrical switch to be fixed was denied because it was not due to fair wear and tear. Every need won't be due to fair wear and tear, but to honest mistakes, and I believe that reasonable mistakes should be covered (at least earnestly considered) especially for the rates that I pay. If I called in 10 claims a year, of course that would seem suspicious. Also, reporting a claim causes one to be cautious because what is reported will be used against the customer to not pay the claim. Very disheartening.

Great service, my 20 year old washer broke and the service tech came to see if it could be repaired but due to discontinued parts it could not be. I received a notification the same day of how much the replacement credit was and I scheduled a call for the next day to discuss payment options. The credit did not cover the new washer I have to buy but covered a large chunk of the new washer. All in all great service every step of the way!

Unfortunately it takes too long to receive the reimbursement ecard. I was told I would have to wait 3 or more weeks to receive. In the meantime I do not have a dryer. Unacceptable when since this is an ecard should be able to receive same day approved. The gentleman that came to the house was professional and I appreciated that. Choice Home Warranty denied claim for the broken gear on the garage door opener, they sent a technician who added things that were not necessary to increase the cost of repairs and that CHW knew would not cover and would serve as an excuse to deny the claim. After trying to make them understand that the problem was the broken gear, they offered to send me a check for $190 if I paid the $1000 cost of the repair to another company or if I wanted to use the company they had sent, they would send the check by $190 and I had to take the remaining $810 out of my pocket, that sounds like a scam right?
They charged me $100 for the service fee, when I got my membership or policy with them the email said it was only $85 but they charged $100. It doesn't make sense to pay that amount of money for the service fee and pay additionally for my own repairs. Very bad experience after having paid for almost 2 years of membership and when I make a claim I have to pay out of pocket for the repairs and a guy who shows up at night and in less than 5 minutes makes a diagnosis increasing the order work for the claim to be denied.

When we told Choice we needed repairs, two techs were sent to our home. They assessed the situation, charged us $150 for the service call, and worked on the repairs. The work was unfinished, because they needed an additional replacement part, which we believe is under a separate parts warranty. The service technicians were great. But Choice then told us it would not cover the repairs under our home warranty, indicating the service report was insufficient to justify the claim. The head service tech said he submitted reports to Choice 3 times, and he had no idea what else they needed. The 3 stars is an average of 5 stars for the techs and 1 star for Choice.

The technician came out on Thursday November 14th. When the technician came he was very accommodating and repaired it quickly. He was very nice and efficient. The technician that came out last year put the wrong Spring on my garage door. Instead of $65.00 the cost to repair the problem cost me $678.00 plus the $65.00 fee. I am not a happy customer of CHW. It seems that every time I submit a claim I end up spending much more out of pocket.

It took them from Nov1 -Nov 14 to come out. I had to called everyday nearly. I am disabled with lung disease. I explained and after asking to speak to several managers they helped push it forward. Finally Nov 13 a nice young man texted and said, "I will be there at 7:30 in the morning" and he was here at 7;30. I was so pleased with him very professional. Everything was great moving forward. After being a customer of CHW I was shocked and appalled how Choice will do just about anything to not pay for appliance repairs or replacement. I choose to share to bring awareness that someone may benefit and not be fooled or as completely dissatisfied as I am. I filed a claim on my refrigerator that was making an unknown noise. The service provider came out on a bike in work out clothing. This provider had no tools of any kind and stayed in my home less than 15 minutes.
Days passed by with no word one way or the other of the outcome. I had to call CHW to have them to try and reach out to the service provider who I had placed calls and messages to with no response. The next thing I received was a denial letter from CHW informing me the service provider stated there was a power surge in my home that caused the refrigerator noise which was the fan and it was not covered. I sent pictures of the service provider on his bike with no tools and informed CHW nothing was tested as this provider never touched or stayed long enough to do anything professional.
Case manager Norvette t who was completely rude, unprofessional, and has no phone etiquette or people skills. Stated the service provider did not need any tools or testing equipment to make a diagnosis. Unless norvette herself is a genius how could she alone make that determination. Point is CHW will go to any length not to pay after receiving months and months of payments with no claims filed. Please be mindful. As I paid my $60 monthly fee to CHW and $85 for the service fee totally $144 and no service rendered.

The word is Choice warranty do not hire a big company for repairs you use individual. The individual that was sent to my house to repair the icemaker. Had no idea what he was doing. It would take me a whole page to explain him trying to fix an icemaker. I think that’s why the whole refrigerator now is not working. The adjuster solve the refrigerator problem by going me $1000. To replace this refrigerator cost about $200. I’m out $1000 because of the first repairman you sent.

Staff was very helpful in setting up appointments and very courteous. Explained how the process worked gave information on how to view appointments on computer. Our problem is our washer and dryer not performing properly. Appliances are 12 to 13 years old with rust and other items not working very well.

Master bathroom on the second floor is leaking on 11/02/2024 into the kitchen (Which is clearly plumbing system issue) which I have taken insurance. Technician came to home after 11 days (11/13/2024) and he told me he need to cut the drywall to access and fix the standing shower pipe and he told me he will get the permission from Choice Home Warranty. Today (11/14/2024) choice home warranty denied claim (it has been determined that the shower drain is leaking due to physical damage and needs to be repaired). which is not true. Choice home Warranty doesn't want to pay the claim and simply blaming us. Even technician didn't say that it is physical damage. Now claim manager is calling and saying that she will pay 117$ (after claim denial - I see clear intention here to want to pay less money to the claim) for this and rest I need to pay. As part of insurance I need to pay 65$ and rest they have give to technician. Please don't buy this insurance. You will regret later.

Called a claim for a problem with malfunction of stove burners and a broken kitchen faucet. Only complaint is that claim was on same date and was told I would be charged for separate claims. That would tell me I’d be paying for more than half of the claim cost. Seriously thinking of looking for other coverage.
