Placed a furnace repair claim at 3:00 PM and was told the repair company would email us to schedule to come out to look at furnace. We have not received any email from any company and it is now 10:00 PM. This is our first service claim and do not feel very confident in Choice Home Warranty!

I'm going on 3 years with Choice home warranty company and I'm very pleased. I've used their services several times and the procedure is a pleasure. I'm able to put in a claim online and the service company usually calls me with an appointment the next day. Definitely planning on renewing my contract. Thank you Choice!

Just sign up and paid for 3.5 yrs. I feel that the coverage is great, the experience will be known if and when the first claim filed. Overall, no complaints. I have been debating for long time on whether to buy a home warranty. Choice Home Warranty check all the boxes.

For the most part, I am satisfied. However, I have had a problem with a claim on a refrigerator in the past, which caused me to have an unexpected expense for an item that my plan states is covered. That is the only reason I cannot give Choice a higher grade.

Have always had great service and response from CHW. Each time I have submitted a claim it's been a matter of minutes before I had a response. And quick communication with the contractors assigned to my claims. Within a day or two my issues have been resolved to my satisfaction.

Very professional. Arrived when he said he would, fixed the garbage disposal quickly and efficiently. He explained exactly what the issue was with the garbage disposal. I Would recommend the service provider to other clients in need of service done on garbage disposal in this area. He also repairs heating and cooling systems.

Your response to all my claims have been great but I disagreed with my last claim, the spring to my garage broke and the spring are made in two pieces and you guy only cover only one part, since the spring are made that way, you should replace both parts, not just one part, the spring is one system that composes into two part, and the spring was put the same time.

The claim was fast to be approved! The date for the technician to come out was kinda far out but I called the office of the repair company and they got me in next day! Was so thankful as I had company coming in and clean linen to be washed and refreshed for company.

The reason for my dissatisfaction is in the handling of overall service. The technician was very thorough in trying to repair my dishwasher, but ultimately determined the unit required replacement. I expected fairly rapid confirmation from CHOICE that a replacement unit was indeed being compared and that I would be given a chance to verify or upgrade the replacement dishwasher. To date, I have heard absolutely nothing!

I'm very pleased with Choice Home Warranty. When I place my claim the scheduling of the repair and the constant updating was excellent. I was happy to know that I had contact to the repairman before they showed up. There was no problem with the finances all that was discussed before he arrived I am happy. I would most definitely prefer choice home warranty to anyone that needs home repair.

My top oven of my double oven quit working. Technician said it needed to be replaced. I was offered $677. Installation not included. Tell me where I could find a stainless steel double oven for that price?!?! The case manager told me that is their cost to replace the unit. Definitely sold a bill of goods.

We are totally unsatisfied that we need to use a Lowe's ecard and would prefer a check instead of the ecard. The reason being we want a check is because we would like to go where we feel comfortable shopping and not forced to go to Lowe's. Please have someone call us in regards to this matter and hopefully we can receive a check and resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you.

We had a very hard time with scheduling this repair. After a full week of waiting all day for the schedule visit we finally had a visit and the dishwasher was fully repaired. The service provider was on time and made sure that the dishwasher was working correctly before leaving.

Nest Plumbing showed up but did nothing, waiting on authorization from Choice Home Warranty. Never did anything before leaving because they didn’t have authorization to fix the problem. Why were they scheduled to be here if they were not authorized to come? I have had this contract for years and I have never had someone come and sit in my yard waiting on authorization to perform the service from Choice before just leaving after doing nothing because they didn’t have authorization

I was made to believe that my claim was approved. When the technician came he said it was not. If I knew it wasn't approved I could have called someone else and got a cheaper price. Instead of costing me $60 (as I was made to believe), it was $160. If Choice was NOT going to approve they should have told me first instead of sending me a tech that I didn't ask for.

Fast and professional. Highly recommend. Arrived within the appointment window and fixed the dryer. Knew exactly what to do. If you need a dryer fixed, this is the guy. So glad I could get this fixed literally the day after it broke. Was able to finish drying my clothes immediately afterwards.

Fast Responder Plumbing is truly a fast responder with nice and experienced plumbers. We filed the claim on Saturday, and Robert was sent to fix our problem on Monday Morning. Found a leak in water heater and needs to be replaced. Not getting enough hot water when taking showers. Technician did a great job of diagnosing the problem with the water heater. Technician also explained why the water heater had gone bad. Mainly age of the water heater. My water heater was about 15 years old.

Bryan was a great electrician. Highly recommend to anyone has electric issues. He was prompt, professional and good communicator. I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received. I just wish I could get a sooner appointment. My fridge went out. It takes a week to schedule an assessment appointment but you take the money right away. Doesn’t seem fair. There’s needs to be a quicker process when something breaks down. Also, there needs to be better communication from your repair companies reporting back what our problems are.

I sent in my information online and got a call right away from Chris from Choice Home Warranty. Chris was very friendly and explained things in a way that it was easy to understand. The pricing is very good as well. My brother also has Choice Home Warranty and him and his wife are very pleased. They had it for a while. He is the reason I went with Choice Home Warranty. Chris just made it official.

I am extremely frustrated with the handling of my pool issue, which has now spanned over three months and remains unresolved despite multiple claims. First Claim: The first company sent out to address the issue was questionable. Not only do they appear to not exist, but the individual who visited my home simply commented on how beautiful my family is, acknowledged the issue, and left without taking any action. This company has no online presence, and they never followed up or contacted me regarding the repair.
Second Claim: After two months of no resolution, I submitted a new claim, as the previous one had expired. However, Choice Warranty inexplicably marked this second claim as "complete" despite absolutely no work being done. I have made numerous attempts to contact Choice Warranty for follow-up and clarification, but I have been unable to get a response. This experience feels like a deliberate scheme, playing into the exact fears many have when deciding whether to hire or pay for a warranty service. I am requesting immediate attention to this matter, as the lack of transparency, accountability, and resolution is unacceptable. Please respond promptly with an explanation and a plan for resolving this issue.

Last month I had a plumbing stoppage in my both Tub-shower at my rental property and when I submitted a claim, no plumber accepted the dispatch and after four days they offered me a reimbursement choice which is mean that I have to find a plumber but the problem is no plumber wants to deal with the home warranty required documentation so l end up paying for the plumber out of pocket.
This week the hinge door of my 18-year-old dishwasher broke and the dishwasher was leaking water and after I submitted the claim and paid $85 for the service fees the CHW declined my claim because of personal damage. I don't understand how can someone break a built-in dishwasher door hinge from one side if it's not a normal wear and tear? I was paying the Choice Home warranty a total of $120 per month for both of my homes for nothing and not to mention I was paying a service fee each time. What a waste of money.

Ghost company repairman was kind & considerate and my grandson did not let him but he came back later, was able to evaluate our 10+-year-old dish washer and after tinkering with it about an hour he said our dishwasher was beyond repair... He said it must be replaced, we thank him and looking forward for my new dishwasher. Yes!

I called for service, provided my contract number, and withing minutes I was contacted by the serviceman to set up an appointment. He arrived at the scheduled time, however the vendor gave me a SIX-hour window to be present as opposed to a THREE-hour window which I believe is customary. The technician fixed the problem within 45 minutes, took the service fee check, and was very business like.

The process again has been seamless. Very easy to put in a claim and a quick response from the garage repair man. He came out right away and agreed with needing a new key pad and said he would be back on Tues. or Wednesday. As of now he has had NO confirmation as to when he will be coming to complete the work.

Appt scheduled by Choice with Capital City Plumbing for today 11-3. Finally was able to reach someone at number listed on assigned service and was informed they “do not” do warranty work for Choice. I attempted to just cancel claim until I return from a funeral and was told that it could not be canceled. It would be reassigned??? I have referred several family members and friends to Choice and today I’m very disappointed,

I have had 4 claims in the past year for my home in Kauai. I checked to verify that they serviced this area prior to purchasing. All 4 claims have had NOTHING done to resolve the problem, although I have called over 12 times and have been assured that I would hear from the company within 48 hours. I have now written a letter as mandated by Home Warranty prior to going to court. More than 30 days have elapsed; they have not responded to my letter at all. My claims were for a jacuzzi bathtub, not working; originally initiated 1/09/24; ceiling fans not working 10/21/24; dishwasher spraying water everywhere 10/21/24; and refrigerator which freezes food and then defrosts, 11/19/24.

A covered service on our warranty was immediately denied within minutes of the technician submitting it. It really felt like the default response was to deny the claim so that CHW could save money with the vendor. As a customer that is not our problem and provided a very unsatisfactory experience. I called while the technician was still on-site to get the denial reversed and was not treated with adequate customer service. I had to insist to speak with someone else. I still had to file an objection to the denial which then took another 24 hours before I was able to speak with someone to resolve the initial denial.
It was eventually reversed and we are being reimbursed since we had to get the leak repaired. If my claim is denied quickly I should have it re-approved just as quickly. Very disappointed with CHW and the trend lately of insurance/warranty companies denying legitimate customer claims. If you are being billed too much by your vendors then you need to take it up with them and stop having your customers bear the burden. Not sure I will return as a customer. We'll see how the next few months go until our renewal.

Service Technician came out, replaced a lot of parts on the water/ice dispenser assembly. After he left water started building up at the bottom of the tray where you place your glass for filling. I called the service technician back. He came out a little over a week later and said he didn't know what was causing the moisture buildup and there was nothing he could do. I called Choice Home Warranty to report this and asked if they could send a different company/technician out to get this problem corrected. They agreed and I am waiting to hear from new company.

Good job by the technician. Installed a much less expensive disposal than the one we had, but it’s still warranted for 6 years. I guess we can live with that! I would endorse the company but no identifying information on the truck nor the receipt nor phone information. Would recommend them if they were identifiable.

Although the furnace component was covered by the manufacturer's warranty, your decision not to replace the part cost me in using another HVAC company to perform the labor. Thus, I spent extra funds for a job your dispatch could have easily performed. Thus I'm not satisfied with this service call.

Choice took down my service issue and followed up with email that they had received my request. Within day or two had assigned the work to a provider. The provider was very efficient and did a good job. Choice then followed up to make sure work was done and to my satisfaction.

I have been very frustrated with the service scheduling. Several times I have received a notice in the middle of the night that someone was coming that morning. I appreciate the promptness of sending the technician however that shows no regard for my schedule. Both times I had a conflict & did not even have time to get ahold of the person coming. Therefore it messed their schedule up also. At the bare minimum I should have been advised that the notice for service may come in the middle of the night. I do not find the people who schedule the appointments particularly nice.

I had CHW for several years. During that period my Air Conditioner broke. Because of their fine print they claimed because it was "built in" it was not covered. They offered a few hundred dollars when the actual cost of replacement was approximately $15,000, which I am still paying off via loan 4 years later. Recently my clothes washer broke. They offered a $343 voucher for Lowes. The appliance was worth over $1500. They also make it difficult to cancel the service intentionally (you have to call repeatedly, wait on hold and then they try to save the contract. if we look at the cost of this service to me over the years it was in the thousands of dollars while they coverage they offered was approximately 25% of my actual costs. I would have been better off never having paid for this service.

A repair technician arrived at the appointed time and did a through inspection. He communicated the repair issues with me and explained the next steps in the repair process. He was courteous and knowledgeable. We are now ordering parts and proceeding to scheduling the next step.

The dryer stopped heating and they were quick to get someone out to fix it. The company they sent was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We would recommend. I once again called Choice to have someone come and fix a faucet leak. As has happened before, this company found a way to deny the claim, claiming that in the small print, because my home was lacking a pressure valve, which had never been installed when the home was built, the simple faucet repair was not covered. In the 45 years since my home was built, I have never had a faucet problem, but now, because of the lack of this pressure valve, this repair was denied. It appears the Choice home warranty continues find ways to deny claims. This is not what I was expecting when I paid the $1800 for a 5 year insurance policy, This is the second claim denied, citing reasons defined in the small print of the policy. They should be ashamed of themselves taking people's money when it appears that their business model is to accept premiums but deny claims. I will never purchase another policy from Choice Home warranty company.

In older years, CHW came to fix problems. Nowadays they just come to tell you what is wrong. Invariably, they tell you that your problem is not covered by CHW and that you have to spend extra money to fix the problem. Your contract book has been revised so many times to attend only to minor problems. In fact, a tech was assigned to me 10 days after the problem. This was a heating system problem in the middle of severe weather.

Water was turned in as clogged. Second file was was turned in as leak and low pressure. Already finding a plumber and taking care of it. Very good. Plumber will be assigned within twenty four hours. Looking forward to having our shower back in use this week. Always nice to have a hot shower morning or night.

David ** is a very knowledgeable and likable representative for Flamingo. He knows his stuff and was extremely helpful. On the other hand the person I spoke to when I made my original call was not helpful at all. All she was interested in was selling me an extension to my contract which turned me right off. She never even asked for the model #/Serial # of the dishwasher. Even I knew the tech would need that. She did not give him a proper description of the problem either. I would have called Flamingo myself but David reached out first.

Was disappointed by the wait time. It took two weeks for a person to come to my house to take care of the heating problem that we had, called twice to get it resolved. Very disappointed. The person was very nice but Choice Warranty is very disappointed. Pay on time every month and was so disappointed with the wait time.

Robert was kind and was able to offer a better deal than what I found online. He had to call me back because I couldn’t find my wallet and didn’t want to tie up his time. This is $75 cheaper a month than my previous home warranty company and $15 less per service call. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

DMVHVAC LLC visited on Sunday before the storm, which was appreciated, but unexpectedly charged a $2.50 credit card fee. The initial repair estimate was for Wednesday, but delays pushed it to late Friday before the delay in receiving parts and snow storm. The technician did not use shoe covers despite snow and sand outside, resulting in water and dirt being tracked through the stairs, master bedroom, and closet while accessing the attic. This caused unnecessary mess in the home.

Choice had a technician out the next day to unclog our line. Service call charge was all we paid, 45 minutes later they had the line open and flowing. The technician was polite and professional. They also respected our property. I have and will continue to recommend Choice Home Warranty to my friends. One friend in Tennessee signed up 2 years ago because of my recommendation. I’ve always been pleased with any claim I’ve made through Choice.

I have found Choice service to be prompt, reliable, with good coverage. Their coverage is quite good which is probably what is top of mind for most consumers. No complaints thus far. I couldn't have been more pleased with the plumber from Airhart Plumbing (serving the TriCities region of northeast TN) who came over to assess my hot water tank and my kitchen faucet. He was thorough and professional and I look forward to him installing a new heater and faucet in the near future.

I have had choice home insurance for years and suddenly this week during one of the coldest days my AC went out. I put in a claim and someone came to my home at 5:PM yesterday. After walking in my house with his dirty shoes, he disconnected some wires from the air handler inside and said there’s a problem with the unit outside and that he would contact my warranty company for approval then I would get an email response telling me when someone would come and fix the problem.
In less than 24 hours I received an email from Choice Home warranty saying “there was a power surge that caused the problem with my AC unit and the thermostat and my claim is denied”. I called them and asked how did they determine that there was a power surge at my house that caused the issue and they were not able to answer my question. It’s painfully obvious that, all they do is take people money and find an excuse to not pay the claim. This company is very dishonest and to top it off, the person on the phone were very rude and nasty, naturally, I cancelled my account with them. Anyone who read this review need to be careful with this company.

Choice Home Warranty is terrible and one of the worst warranty companies in fixing broken items when a service call is placed. My microwave broke and I placed a service call on December 26, 2024 and a Technician came over to evaluate the issue and ordered a broken part through Choice Home, but the part was denied and Choice Home Warranty decided to offer me Lowe's gift card to replace the microwave but the price offered was much less than the cost of the microwave in Lowe's. I replied to the email declining to the offer and to discuss the case with a Manager. Nothing has been done until today, January 11, 2025... I already paid $75 copayment to the Tech who came over to evaluate the microwave. Even if the cost of the microwave is given, who is going to pay for the Installation?? I am at loss now. I don't encourage or recommend any of the customers to join Choice Home Warranty to fix their issues.

Was a bit too long to get an approval for payment on heating system issue. Was finally approved on a reimbursement program. I just felt it should have been a higher priority being. I had no heat and mid-winter weather... The claim was for a high amount of money and I understand that they needed time to review it. I just felt it took too long on this emergency basis claim.

This company is one of the worst so called home warranty companies out there! They'll take your money every month and maybe pay for a small ticket item or two to reel you in. If you ever have anything close to a big ticket item they will deny it for sure. They do not care if you cancel on them because they will have already scammed you out of months and months of payments so they will say good riddance. STAY AWAY!

Grant came out to put in our gas valve so we could get hot water. We've had issues for the last month or so and it took about 15 minutes to get it on and 45 minutes later we had hot water. Thanks Grant! We appreciate how easy it's been to work with OSP from the receptionist to both of the techs.

I had an issue with my central heating system. Although it was a new system that was installed in June 2024, it didn't switch on when the temp was set. The company that CHW sent the work request to was Ava's AC and Heating, and Francisco was the assigned technician. He was one of the best technicians I have dealt with since being in Texas. His communication was outstanding: he sent me a text message a couple of days before he arrived, and the day he came to my house, he called ahead of time. I appreciated the fact that he didn't seem to mind that I was watching what he was doing and asking questions (only to increase my knowledge base); he patiently answered all of my questions. He also fixed an unfinished issue left by the original installers of the system. He had all the tools he needed and even had a replacement thermostat (which had "died" and needed to be replaced). He was very friendly and professional.

The service from Lee was a 5+. The replacement hot water tank was not an equivalent. I had an AO Smith and ended up with a dented environment something with only a 3 year warranty. I was dissatisfied with the replacement heater and concerned about the warranty. Doesn’t seem right. Is the warranty valid even though the unit arrived dented.

We decided to cancel our previous Home Warranty and go with Choice Home Warranty due to false promises made during our consultation. We are currently in below freezing temperatures, have put in multiple requests and have never even received a call back. We are being told they cannot find a technician to come out and it has been 3 weeks. We were told our claim (only one we’ve ever filed) was being expedited but still have heard nothing. Now that our pilot light is flickering and appears to have air in the gas line, a potential hazard we have been told we were given the option to pay out of pocket key and they will decide what will be covered, if anything. Beware. We have been loyal customers and have made all payments and have never had to file a claim until we were stuck with no heat and a potential hazard and now we cannot even get a phone call. Go with anyone other than this company.

Bonner Plumbing was dispatched to my home for a leaking faucet. The Part needed was extremely hard to find but the technician spent untold time and dollars to find the part. I was only without water for 24 hours due to this man's diligence, He was by far the best technician I have ever encountered!

I would give a zero if I could. I submitted 2 claims-both immediately denied. Both denied again on appeal. Reason: not ordinary wear and tear. Denied an electrical claim which according to the electrician they sent was ordinary wear and tear. They said the wire was cut. He sent photos and they “found” a hole in the wire that was not cut or broken. We have an old house, so wear & tear is expected. They denied another claim and the technician said they always deny claims. The only good fortune is that I was with them with them only 4 months and was able to get some of my money back when I cancelled the contract today. From the $499, they prorated and gave me $280. They charge $50 to dump them. I wasted $215 on these scammers. Do not contract with this company. Beware.

I wish I could convey in writing how disappointed I am in the service I receive from Choice Home Warranty. I recently submitted a claim for the water/ice dispenser on my kitchen refrigerator which through normal use developed a crack. The customer service rep insisted that this was not due to normal wear and tear which to me it obviously was. She also hid behind terms of the contract which seems to me to be a cop out. A warranty is like getting car insurance that you hope never to have to use but it is there when you need it. Since I am so disappointed in this warranty, I will discourage anyone from buying it.

They said I had 30 days to cancel and get my money back. I canceled in 24 hours due to my reading their contract and not being able to live within their arbitration process. Now, they will not refund me my total purchase price. They never stated they had a cancelation fee. That is bad business ethics.....either state it up front, or refund it in total.

Since purchasing my home warranty (1.5 years ago) I have requested service twice. One for an electrical issue, one for plumbing. On both occasions I had to wait for a week or more before a technician showed up at my door (not acceptable). I am currently dealing with a plumbing issue. After waiting for a full week the contracted plumber cancelled my appointment and rescheduled for the following day (today). Plumber arrived and didn’t have the needed tool to unclog my kitchen sink. He refused to return today to do the job. Doesn’t plan to be back until next week. Unethical and crooked.
Choice uses companies that are unprofessional, unskilled, and highly incompetent. When I called Choice (today) for support, they proved incompetent to remedy the situation. My kitchen sinks are still sitting with stagnant water in them, with no end in sight. Choice didn’t care and they have lost my business. I have already chosen a new home warranty company.

I am so happy with the plumber from Cascade Plumbing. He arrived earlier than he anticipated and quickly ascertained that the leak was coming from the unit upstairs. The neighbors will take care of the leaky tub in their unit and my association will then come over and replace the ceiling area in my bathroom. I already referred a friend to Choice Home Warranty and will definitely recommend them to others.

The first person I spoke to seemed a bit too eager to get me to commit that day and when I explained I was still researching companies, the phone disconnected shortly after at. The second representative was Alanzo **. He was amazing, no pressure, gave me all the information I needed to sign up. He was able to compare their product with another company in a way that was factual and didn't put that company down. Then I got another call from someone trying to get me to sign up. After doing my research I decided this was the best bang for the buck.
I would have given them 5 stars if it weren't for their old-school sales tactics. The excessive calling, the only way to get a quote was by entering your personal info and then when you agree to a plan, they start giving you discounts. I prefer to get straight to the bottom line. I also didn't like the "free ADT," read the fine print, the equipment is free if you sign a 3-year contract.

I just canceled service. I was told that your company is unable to cover the repair of my covered system “pool filter”, essentially because you don’t cover physical damage. It’s a leak in a pressurized fiberglass pool filter. Obviously it is physically damaged, hence the leak. That is not to say it was damaged by neglect or abuse as suggested. I’ve been a home owner for over 28 years and a pool owner for over 25. This is a 2nd home and it was suggested to me to get a home warranty. It has been a waste of time and money.

Getting an appointment for repair takes a long time. If an appliance is not working such as a heater, it seems that an appointment for repair would be quickly made. It is the coldest time of the year and my heater isn’t working properly. It runs constantly but doesn’t heat very well.

I am disappointed that you have denied my claim just because it is a digital and programmable thermostat. That should not make any difference. It runs my HVAC system just the same. I'm sure because you were estimated 1500.00 for the part you found a loophole in the contract to not cover an electrical component, but yet you will cover electrical outlets and ceiling fans and a Whirlpool tub but not a NEST Thermostat that was in my house when I bought the house over 3 years ago. I think that is poor customer satisfaction. I work in the car business and the aftermarket extended warranties are exactly the same and always try to find a loophole and reason not to cover a claim.

The garage door was not closing. The technician from True North Garage was awesome. He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem and made his recommendation. What justifies normal wear? NO ANSWER PROVIDED! This is normal wear when it is exposed to 120 degree temperatures and water that has high mineral content. I live in the Desert Southwest, plastic's normal wear in this climate is much different than that of Florida or somewhere that is not as hot and much more humid. This is a terrible way to do business.

The technician, Vincent showed up and went right to work on my issue. He took everything apart, took all actions to troubleshoot and identify the problem. Found it was an air leak, plugged it up after performing preventative maintenance on the system. He fixed the issue, cleaned up his work area and ensured all systems were working properly. He was professional, thorough, knowledgeable, personable and I would request him to come and service my appliances.

Everything I was told by salesman Mathew was very untruthful. I asked him very specific questions about what the policy covered and I filed my first claim for a leaking water heater and it was denied. First after not hearing any response from Choice after several days I called and was told they could not find anyone in my area to accept the job and would be in touch. Four days later I was sent a msg. stating someone was coming out he came out and replaced a part. I was contacted the next day that he received a msg. that he was denied. I was told by a case manager that the company needed to look at the water heater first then contact them for approval before he is allowed to fix it
Never was I told that it had to be done that way. I also explained to Matthew that we were in the process of putting our home up for sale and wanted this for a peace of mind until it sold and was told not a problem you can cancel at any time, turns out that is not true either! Definitely would be very careful. Get everything you talk about in writing!

Problem with Choice Home Warranty and having their Total Warranty Plan available. I told the salesman I had a Custom House and would expect like for like replacements if it cannot be repaired. He stated not a problem. First off they lied to me about the "Total Plan" to get me signed up. Here is one of the problems. I called to place a claim for a non-working faucet and ask if it would be replaced by the like product which was a Price Phister. Was told yes.
The repairman came out and stated it needed to be replaced. He called to get permission for the repair, but stated they would only replace with a builder grade faucet. I contacted CHW and asked what gives. The lady said yes it will be replaced per page 9 Para 13, however, you also need to read page 18 which states only to be replaced with a Builder Standard Grade Faucet. Fortunately. I found out that Price Phister has a lifetime warranty on the products and they sent me a new one, no charge,.

The technician was great, but nobody told him there would be no one available at Choice HW to approve his work order before 9am. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem and was very pleasant and professional. Not sure why Choice HW would allow appointments to be scheduled when they have no staff available to authorize the actual work. I was upset because I thought I would have to inconvenience my employer twice, but luckily the technician accommodated me which I really appreciated.

Plumber could not get the P-trap to stop leaking after installing the new disposal under the sink. A half dozen failed attempts to reinstall the P-trap sections the installer out of frustration took a break. Finally, through shear persistence and the skill of a Master plumber all the PVC P-trap sections were cut, fitted, threads sealed with putty, and new washer rings and connectors installed. Holding his breath the water was turned on, the line and joints were pressure tested and no leaks were found. As the customer, the Clockwise plumber demonstrated he had placed quality workmanship above just mediocre work- - for which I am thankful.

Tech repaired the leak in laundry room. However, to do so he had to remove a section of drywall. He advised someone from Choice would contact us to repair the drywall. This has not happened. The plumbing company does not repair the wall so I am guessing we need a different contractor to repair the wall. Please advise. Thank you.

I live in Hawaii on Maui and the service here leaves a lot to be desired. CHOICE only contracts with one company in HI and they are on a different island. This means that the customer (me) has to wait until a technician can be scheduled to come to my house - on a plane. Why not have a technician that is already on Maui?

Our dryer stopped working for the third time… It took a week and a half to get somebody out and then another week to argue for more money for replacement. Now I am being told it could be 30 days to get my voucher from Lowe’s. That would mean that we would be without a dryer for almost 2 months. This is unacceptable… Your customer service is so lacking that we will be dropping this Warranty.

I was told the claim was denied because there was no wear and tear. Per the technician that came out he stated there was wear in tear. Your company seems like a scam at this point. I don’t understand how a professional can tell you that the issue is due to wear and tear, yet you guys deny the claim and says it’s from improper installation which again the technician already said was from wear and tear. I’m going to look into legal action at this point for you guys signing a contract in bad faith.

We were given a time frame of 7-11am for the guy to come to look at our washer. He came around 1 or so. He wasn't able to repair the washer because it was older and needed a timer. So he let the warranty company know what was going on with the washer.

These ppl have been very sloppy and rude with me! Technician came to my home and diagnosed and wrote up then sent to Choice. After that I’m informed I’ve got to pay $420.00!!! I was told that the reverse valve that needs to be replaced is a modification and/or upgrade, plus pull vacuum to get Freon out of system to replace part!, and then refill! I’m beyond disappointed with y’all’s response and decisions! I’ve paid the 100.00 deductible and that should be it. Choice is an absolute joke!!! My AC IS STILL OUT!!!!

Delay after delay, inappropriate denial after denial, your performance is abhorrent. It is obvious that you spend your money on your high-pressure sales team, even requesting on a daily basis since I signed up that I extend my warranty, despite the fact that you are holding up repairs to my home that are clearly covered contractually. I like being able to schedule my own time and received text messages keeping me informed. Prepaying the deductible was easier too as you do it upfront. Your price is excellent and when I finally got through to someone that could take my claim it was excellent! Send another survey when the repairman is finished! Now for the bad! I tried going to the computer to input my claim. I could not get it to work, so tried calling to ask for help. Each attempt to ask was met with a very hurried "Place your claim online!" then they were gone! I was not given a chance to explain or get an answer! Finally, I got a man to listen, and he put me in touch with a helpful lady that took the claim.

Called for repair about 2 weeks before Christmas and repair was set for Dec 26, but was unable to fix until Jan 7 because ovens, stoves and refrigerator - freezers comes first. I wasn't happy both me and my husband being in our upper 70s. It was a big inconvenience and hardship for us when we had to do our laundry. We had to wait nearly 3 weeks and most days were extremely cold outside hauling our laundry out in the cold.

It was very simple to make a new claim. And authorization number was given and waiting for a call from the technician. You don't expect your heater to will not work when you experience the cold weather. But when it doesn't heat then Choice Warranty is the one to look to. They have given me good service in the past with my cooling system.

John was the representative that I spoke with, He was polite and quite professional. My concern is having to pay an additional service fee. It's not written in my contract and if it is I've overlooked it. So having to pay an additional service fee, is not only costly, but quite disturbing. I rated you a nine (because overall I'm satisfied with the results I've received, thus far). I gave you one star because I can't believe, someone can walk in my home and say, I don't service this brand and it cost me an additional hundred dollars to reschedule. I have Choice Home Warranty on my house and have had 2 very bad experiences. First, Our refrigerator went bad and had to be replaced. CHW authorized a replacement but, the way their policy is written, they can give you practically any amount that they want to give you. We received a check for a little over $900 but a replacement refrigerator was about $2500. They did the same thing with my built-in microwave oven which quit on us. CHW said it could not be repaired and offered us a little over $650 whereas a new one cost about $2000. In both cases, I had to spend over $1000 of my own cash! I asked "where did you come up with that amount?" I was told that "the committee" evaluated it but would not allow me to speak to a member of "the committee".
Their definition of replace/replacement states "we are responsible only for replacement equipment of similar features, capacity, and efficiency but not for matching dimensions, brand, or color. They can't lose with that definition and can offer you almost any price they want. I had both reviewed by one of their case managers but they refused to increase the amount on either one. You almost have to have a lawyer review their policies before buying to really know what you are buying. I am not a fan of Choice Home Warranty and would not recommend them. Maybe in their advertisements they should say "if you have a claim, we will pay you about 1/3 to 1/2 of the value of your appliances". That would be more realistic!

We got a year of CHW coverage when we purchased our house in 2022. We renewed for two years because a lot of our systems are old, and we expected we'd need replacements. Long story short, we ended up needing a dryer replacement. They began by offering us a $335 Lowes gift card to replace it. The cheapest dryer (sorted by price low to high) on Lowes' website was nearly twice that much.
When I called them to resolve this, they informed me that they offered cash based on their "actual cost." When I asked for evidence that this was their actual cost to replace a dryer, they informed me that they would not provide any proof but that they had a relationship with an appliance vendor who gave them "discounted rates."
I told them that their promotional emails promised a "written notification of the basis for the amount" offered. This "written basis" is apparently just the user agreement. When I asked for them to simply purchase the dryer from this vendor (I would pay for taxes, shipping, whatever), I was told that was not an option for me.
I interacted with three different case managers, wasted probably about an hour on the phone, and was just told over and over that the "policy" wouldn't allow them to do anything else. When I asked to speak to someone above a case manager, I was denied. Prior to this, our experience with Choice was fairly positive, but we will not be continuing to give them our business (especially since our premium has gone up 20% over the last two years). The whole situation is incredibly shady and reeks of a scam. If you have a warranty with them, be aware that you can cancel at any time and get your money back prorated for the rest of the year (at least according to the contract).

Daniel ** was a great customer service representative. I had an AWFUL experience the previous day with another representative who was so aggressive on the phone that I hung up on him. Even though I hung up, he continued to contact me back about 5 times but I just ignored the calls. Nevertheless, when I received an email today from Choice, I decided to call the 800#. Daniel and his manager apologized several times, gave me a better rate and now I am a customer. Great customer service Daniel.

The young man who came out to repair our heating system was wonderful. He went out of his way to take care of my tenants, one of which has health issues. The repairman wanted to make sure that they were my tenant did not have to live in sub freezing temperatures for another night.

The first technician that was assigned was a no show with no courtesy call and did not even respond to a text which his phone requested. I called Choice and explained that I no longer had confidence in them and would they please sent another company. They did promptly send one. Matt ** responded and kept his appointment even keeping me posted on his estimated time of arrival. He promptly diagnosed the problem, placed the claim. Choice got back to him within 30 minutes and gave the ok to order parts. Matt called me and told me he had ordered the parts and when they are delivered he will get back to me to install them. He estimated within one week. Matt was very professional to work with. I will be referring my friends to him and telling them to stay away from the first company. Referring your friends is the greatest compliment.

Not good. Too much money out of pocket. I thought I was giving up to 500.00 to 3,000.00 cover but I was told that's heater cost 2,000.00 and something. I'm still paying 975.00 that's almost thousand dollars that's still too much out of pocket that's was the main reason I got the warranty to help me when a big problem happened.

The technician provided excellent service. He was truly thorough with his diagnosis of the issue with our appliance. The previous technician did not do a good job at all. Now Choice decided to replace our appliance, but offered a few pennies toward the true replacement amount causing a hardship that is truly unacceptable and not the type of service we expected from a company that claims they are at the top of warranty companies. I would not recommend them moving forward.

I expected Choice to replace the stove with a like item and cost. I was offered only $338. My research showed a comparable gas cooktop stove varied from $600-$1000. Their policy is to DEPRECIATE the item based on age. I was never informed of this until my gas cooktop stove broke. Tried to negotiate for $450...they would not budge a cent from $338. If you don't have a boiler system for heat, go with American Home Shield.

My heat went out on a Thursday evening. I called Choice to ask for help as the temperature was down under 50 degrees. I waited all day Friday to hear from anyone and by 4:30 still had not heard from anyone about coming to fix it. I started sending messages to their home office. After a number of these messages I finally got a call from a local heating company that made an appointment for morning. Another night without heat. I told everyone that I had a NEST and the gentian came out without any thermostats and then had to leave and go pick one up. The most basic Honeywell that is on the market. The workman was great the replacement was way below my expectations.

Technician was courteous and thorough. He explained the problem and serviced the unit. He let us know we might have to get the vent on the roof checked but he could not do that due to our tile roof. His notes to his company enabled us to get someone who could check the roof venting.

Choice Warranty doesn't have any plumbers in Rochester, MI area. Getting their vendors on weekends is a big issue for any kind of problem. But they allowed to hire my own vendor after 1.5 days but their approval process for diagnosis provided by vendor was real fast. In past I have used their reimbursement process and it was smooth.

I have service with American Home Service. I am paying more for an expert tech to come out and assess my appliance. When I realized the Choice Warranty offers pretty similar service at a lesser cost it makes good sense for me to transition to Choice. So I called and became a member in February 2025.

I have coverage on two properties and been very happy with the service on both. I feel that the investment in the insurance on the properties was definitely worth it.

After speaking to the salesman and explaining my dissatisfaction with my existing home warranty experience, and stating that I very much disliked calling a call center and speaking to someone in another country, and having difficulty getting people to answer questions on the phone, the salesman told me that Choice has only US-based people answering their phones. He also said they answer quickly and respond accordingly. Fast forward 24 hours after signing up, I decide to call in to customer support to see how they respond. After a number of AI-generated calls and over a half hour of waiting I left a callback number. When They DID call back, it was a call center based in the Philippines.
I told them I wanted to terminate my contract application immediately. I was then transferred to an account representative in the U.S. who tried to talk me out of canceling, and gave numerous excuses. I finally was able to get my point across to him that I was not going to change his mind. Account closed… After researching ALL of the top home warranty companies online, and actual customer complaints, I’ve come to the conclusion they are ALL the SAME, and cannot be trusted. So now I’ll just put those payments into a personal account for appliance repair and replacement. Then I can deal with those things without these headaches.

My experience with Home Town Air is horrendous. They did not honor their low price guarantee, the way they put in my AC system that was totally incompetent, it looked like a 5 yr old got loose with duct tape, the install did not meet City building codes and the system has had multiple issues, plus the owner is a jerk to try to deal with. I can't believe Choice uses them. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

Sam the technician from Dominquez Electric that assigned to our claim for an electrical outlet issue was very competent and successfully completed the work. I will say the representative that called to get us to renew our warranty was a little pushy and felt that calling us on Christmas Eve was a little troubling. We did however renew the warranty for 2025 on our own within our time frame.

They are not trustworthy at least for some customers like ourselves. We have put in two different claims and both claims were rejected for very poor reasons and the first one they made a mistake and I have to call them again and again to explain how it was a mistake then they corrected it And the second claim has been 2 1/2 months almost and they never fix our heating for the second floor. And Customer Service is not reputable. I don’t even think they follow up on what they promise because many times they said they were getting in contact with the tech to come back and finish his job and CHW all they would say was they tried to get a hold of them? They tried to get a hold of them and they didn’t care that we have no heat When they could’ve sent a second opinion if they could not count on the company they had sent out. Too much to tell. I pray that none of you get stuck with them like we did.

Looked at 3 warranty companies. Went with Choice, agent Miles explained their program and how it works. Asked my age and military background. Received super deal signed up for extended term. Very happy that our home is now covered for any breakdowns for the future. I will recommend Choice to a couple of friends. If I make a claim in the future I will write another review.

I noticed problems with not having adequate hot water on 12-25-24. The service technician came on 1-6-25. Choice Warranty will not try and fix it, I am supposed just wait until it is completely broken. This may be a good choice for some people but not for me. I bought this plan thinking I would be selling my house but now I am going to stay. As for me I will just make an emergency fund for home, car, accident, etc...

I would strongly recommend against taking home warranty from Choice. Their processes are very lengthy and they try to find any excuse possible to deny the claim. In my case, I filed a claim for the refrigerator ice maker not working. They assigned a technician who came and investigated. He confirmed that the ice maker was faulty and needs replacement. However, Choice denied the claim saying this is part of a manufacturer recall. I contacted the manufacturer and they clearly informed (I have evidence) that there is no recall. They even send the confirmation over an email which I sent to Choice. Still, the Choice team denied my claim. The same ice maker was earlier replaced (about 2 yrs back) by another warranty provider before I switched over to Choice. Never switch to Choice.

I am very unhappy and dissatisfied with the stress I had to go through with this claim, I am a very unhappy customer. I had an 85 and 88 year old freezing in my home for to loss of heat. We had to wait over three days before a contractor could come out. After all that our claim was denied. I am considering cancelling the service.

I have been a Choice Warranty for more than 7 years, and their service has always been excellent. I Have 2 properties with their Home Warranty at this moment and I have no worries about the rented property. The tenants are happy and I am stress free. My primary is also covered by them and I am super happy with their excellent service. I had three properties with this warranty but this property was sold. The technician, Hector, who came to repair the dryer called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He was very respectful and pleasant. He went right to work and completed the repair. He showed me the part he replaced before he had me sign for the service and left.

A ring needed to be replaced. They did it but wood was warped and wet. We had just returned from a 2 week holiday family trip. I had to call them at 10am. We had a 7-11 window. I wanted it totally fixed. They changed ring out, tested everything but said they could not replace wood. I would've thought that they could have had somebody come to and do the wood like a subcontractor they said, I'd have to do a separate claim.

Avoid them like the plague, dishwasher broke and they wouldn't even cover half of a new one. Just a scam and at best a 15-20% off coupon for when something breaks, except you get worse handyman. Also the dispute is a joke, they will not listen. It is just there to make it feel like you're heard. Oh and my rep straight up lied about calling me and leaving a voicemail. Email came right as soon as my slot hit, still wrote a note saying they called and left VM. Liars and scam artist and I will recommend anyone and everyone away from them.

Bathroom main sink was clogged. Service was excellent. Technician was timely and performed as a superior expert. In other words, he immediately identified the problem, corrected and repaired the problem. No mess was left because whatever mess was made was cleaned perfectly. Most happy with a difficult outcome. Nick was very professional in greeting me and very knowledgeable about his job. The company Choice was not helpful at all. They did not approve to have the handles installed on my bathtub. Choice said by me using the handles to turn on/off the water and handles being stripped was not normal wear and tear. This is ridiculous in Choice saying this is not normal wear and tear. I am not pleased with this Company. I will be look for another Home Warranty Company.

Knowledgeable tech called ahead to confirm arrival and showed up in the appointment window time on time. He performed a few quick diagnostics and testing activities. After discovering failure issue he then reset system. The dishwasher was back up and running in less than an hour. Tech was clean and professional.

On January 6, 2025, Choice Home Warranty contacted me following the diagnosis of a plumbing issue at my home by the service provider they had dispatched. When I returned their call, I was informed that I would need to pay the plumber $75 for an additional service call because a second visit was required to further diagnose an issue that had already been reported. I refused to pay for a service that had already been performed and requested to speak with a supervisor. I was then transferred to a resolution specialist.
The specialist explained that the cost had increased to $100, as the necessary repairs were not covered under my warranty. When I asked for details, the representative stated that the work involved replacing a toilet with a new one and installing a new water line to accommodate the replacement, as the existing line in my older home would not fit the new toilet. Additionally, they informed me that another toilet in the home needed to be rebuilt due to issues with the flapper.
To ensure transparency, I called my realtor to join the conversation as a witness. During the call, the representative initially stated I would need to pay $100. However, as the discussion progressed, the representative suddenly changed the amount to $200. After the call concluded, my realtor provided me with the contact information for a regional manager to escalate the matter and address my concerns regarding this interaction with Choice Home Warranty. I’m glad to have the insurance because I’m 81 years old and it will give me some peace of mind to know if anything like appliances or air conditioners break, they will be fixed.

They were originally scheduled for December 24th 2024, and I rescheduled and spoke with a man, he said he would call me back with another day. He never called me back.
