    I have never had such poor service. Whenever I call to talk to an actual person, I can tell that they've got an out-of-country call center. We started having an issue with our dishwasher during the week of Christmas. Here it is, going on 3 months later, and 4 re-assignments later, they're now telling us that they'll give us $246 to replace it. We have to pay for the installation and haul-away of the old unit (which, by the way, isn't that old, it's a 2022). The warranty has not given us any service but the bare minimum. No attempts to get a tech out right away. So disgusted it's not even funny.

    The technician was super, communicated well and was flexible with scheduling. Choice Home Warranty could do a little better in being available by phone to answer questions and for some items in general be quicker on scheduling for higher priority issues. Not being able to get through to a human on the phone is extremely frustrating and makes me feel like just a little decibel number in a sea of customers that CHW only cares about for profitability, not actual customer service.

    The techs came out to my house and promptly repaired the shower faucet cartridge. It put up a bit of a struggle so they had to go get a replacement pin but outside of that extra trip for parts the whole repair only took a few minutes. The technicians were very courteous and personable as well. Would reccomend both Choice Home Warranty and Arizona Drain Pros to anyone.

    Filed claim on February 23. Claim resolved Mar. 3. Takes too long to get an appointment. The company advertises 24 to 48 hours response time. My last couple of experiences was not that... both of these appointments was like four days before the person could even respond the first company that you gave my claim was unreliable, called scheduled to meet did not show.

    When I called complaining about the first company that didn’t show you made me feel that your hands were tied and you couldn’t do anything. You just had to put it out there and see who answers the next time. Don’t like the way that makes me feel, especially when I have tenants waiting on me for a response. I was led to believe that you have so many companies working for you that I should not have to wait so long. I guess that’s not the case, hopefully, in the future the response times will get better because right now my experience sucks and makes me wonder if I chose the right warranty company again.

    After putting in several claims, it seems to be more and more difficult to try and get repairs done within a reasonable amount of time. I was without heat for over a week waiting for a repair and then once it finally was done it ended up breaking again within a few days. Out of disgust I called them outside Contractor who had worked. With Choice Home Warranty in the past and was told I now needed an addition to the work. I’ve already done to put a new burner in. I ended up opting for a whole new furnace feeling I could no longer count on your company, keeping me safe and warm in the winter.     My garage door broke and I reported it to Choice Home Warranty late Friday night. They assigned a repair person for an early Monday repair. I had to reschedule to be available by reaching out directly to the company. It would be helpful for the intake to ask your availability when submitting the claim. The repair company was well rated, the repairman came on time and was friendly, and the repair was made within an hour.

    Why 3 stars? A spring was broken in the door and the standard and recommended repair is to replace both springs. The repairman said the local supplier only carries the entire piece that contains both springs. Choice would only approve replacing one spring from a 3rd party supplier. This part would have had to be ordered online. Replacing only one spring is not recommended as it causes imbalance in the door and typically the other spring will quickly fail. I ended up paying an extra $100 out of pocket to get the door repaired properly. Choice should be approving proper professional repairs, not repairs that are just 'make do's' that a DIY person would do.

    I was totally disappointed and not satisfied with the service I received from Choice. It is now going four weeks my machine is down. My washer is less than six years old. I had to wait two weeks before the technician came to evaluate my machine. The results was I needed a part replacement which was to cost near three hundred and maybe fifty nine dollars. From that point Choice needed to make a decision. Now it's a third week waiting for their result. Choice decided to replace my machine in the sum of $339.00 to purchase from Lowe's. The problem is Lowe's does not have a machine in their inventory that cheap. Nor does any other reputable appliance store. Choice guaranteed to repair or replace my equipment.

    I was sent an email with what was to include a certificate or something to take to Lowe's. Unfortunately, I was not able to retrieve the coupon from the email. I requested for them to resend the coupon. I was basically told NO they could not do that. That they could maybe send me a check that could take up to 30 days for me to receive. I've paid Choice enough money to justify satisfaction. With only once requiring their assistance of providing a technician for my Samsung refrigerator. I paid the technician for the service call $85.00 and no parts was required. Since I've been a part of Choice, I am really disappointed ☹️. I made the unfortunate mistake of paying off a six-year policy with Choice Home Warranty for about $2,000, thinking I was securing peace of mind for my home’s major systems and appliances. Instead, I have been met with nothing but frustration, hidden fees, and outright refusal to honor their coverage whenever something breaks down.

    They Find Every Excuse to Avoid Paying. A few months ago, my water heater failed, and despite it being covered under my policy, they conveniently claimed that some parts required for installation were not covered. Because of this, I ended up paying almost $600 out of pocket—nearly the cost of a brand-new water heater from Home Depot ($400 - $800). To make matters worse, they made my family wait three weeks without hot water. I have five kids, and the cold showers led to all of them getting sick. Absolutely unacceptable!

    They Make You Pay for Everything Anyway. Recently, my kitchen sink clogged up, and instead of honoring their policy, they claimed the issue was caused by a broken pipe, which—surprise, surprise—is not covered. This is just another example of how they twist their policy language to avoid paying for repairs. And let’s not forget that I have to pay $75 every single time a technician comes out, even when they refuse to cover the repairs.

    Do Not Waste Your Hard-Earned Money. If you’re considering Choice Home Warranty, please think again. They will take your money and do everything possible to avoid paying for repairs, making you cover the costs instead. They do not value their customers or their families.

    I had Choice Home Warranty about 4 years now. My heater went out, the pilot wouldn't stay lit. I had my HVAC people who came out and serviced my furnace back in August 2024. They advised on 2.14.2025 the heater is an older model and carbon dioxide is escaping and it needs to be replaced. I opened a claim with Home Choice warranty on Friday 2/22/2025, received an email claim was assigned, no update or response since Friday so I called on Monday 2.24.2025, was advised it was assigned to a technician and they would be out on 2.18.02025.

    The technician called asked me to send a picture of unit, I did. He called me at 3:00pm, said he was running late and would be there shortly. He then called back at 5:00pm said he couldn't come, he was stuck in traffic. He asked to reschedule for 2.25.2025 at 11 am. I had to call the technician because it's now 2:00pm and he still wasn't here. He finally arrives and looks at the furnace, takes pictures and says it needs to be maintenance. I advised it was already Maintenace in August. He said well, "I other than that it's nothing I can do." I said well the other HVAC company said it needs to be replaced. He disagreed. I paid my $100 copay for him to come take pictures.

    Needless to say claim denied. I now asked is their a written in policy that describes how often you're to maintenance your system since it hasn't been a full year. They couldn't provide this information, told me to file an appeal. They are a rip off. I am out of thousands of dollars paying them monthly for nothing. DO NOT USE THEM. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR UNEXPECTED EXPENSES. THEY WILL DENY YOUR CLAIM.

At that time, I was with American Home Shield, but Choice offered a better rate, so I tried them out. Up until recently, things had been okay. However, my latest experience was disappointing.

    I needed my leaking faucet replaced. The first plumber that came said they didn’t have the necessary parts and that they would order them, which would take a few days. It ended up taking two weeks in total, which was frustrating because I had to wash dishes in the bathtub during that time.

    When the plumber finally returned, they informed me that they could only replace the faucet with a builder-grade one, whereas I wanted something equivalent to what I already had. They told me I'd have to purchase my desired faucet, and they would only install it, which meant I was out of pocket for the replacement.

    When I called Choice Warranty to clarify, they only confirmed that they authorized a repair but didn’t explain why they wouldn't cover a comparable replacement. The whole ordeal left me feeling like I didn't get my $75 worth out of the service fee, and it certainly soured my perception of the company.

    My son also had similar issues with them at his properties. He even decided to drop their coverage due to questionable professionalism from the technicians. In both our cases, it seemed like the contractors were either unlicensed or not very knowledgeable, adding to the frustration.

    I’m not sure if I will renew my warranty with Choice when it expires, given this experience.

    I first learned about Choice Warranty many years ago through a TV ad while I was living in Orlando. They were advertised as the top home warranty service, which led me to try them out. When I moved to El Paso, Texas, my insurance had expired, and since Choice Warranty offered me a great deal, I decided to continue with them. I’ve had their coverage since purchasing my house in 2018, and my warranty is valid until 2026.

    When submitting a claim, I’ve found the process straightforward. After submitting, they review it and inform me if they have someone scheduled to assess the issue. Although not all claims are approved, such as the time when a main piping leak and refrigerator wear and tear were not covered, most of my claims have been accepted.

    My most recent approved claim was about three weeks ago for a heater issue. It intermittently turned on and off, and Choice Warranty sent a technician who identified it as a limit switch problem, which was replaced. I am aware of the $65 service call fee, which I find reasonable.

    In terms of technician quality, my experience in Orlando was very positive, with skilled technicians. In El Paso, the quality is generally good, though sometimes the technicians arrive in unmarked trucks. However, they complete the repairs effectively, so I regard them as competent.

    Overall, I am very satisfied with Choice Warranty. They've consistently delivered on their promises, and the service deals they've provided me, especially when expanding into Texas, were highly beneficial.

    I've been a customer of Choice Home Warranty for about a year, having switched from American Home Shield, primarily due to their more competitive pricing. However, I can't say that their service has been better.

    My latest claim involved my heater, for which they efficiently replaced the control board. Unfortunately, I previously had an issue with my ice maker that was not resolved satisfactorily. Despite several visits from two different companies, the appliance was deemed unrepairable, and I was offered an $800 Lowe's credit card. Given that the refrigerator cost about $2,000, this offer seemed inadequate. The ice maker now only works sporadically, which is frustrating.

    I had a different warranty but I had some trouble with them. They didn't help me pay for something I thought they should, which was my garage door. My daughter had Choice and was happy with them so I switched. I call when I file a claim and I talk to somebody on the phone. The process is very easy. I just had a claim. My stove broke and they had someone come out and fix it within 24 hours. He could not fix it so they came up with a number and they asked me if that was agreeable to me, which it was. I paid the difference and I got a brand new stove. I was very happy with the service and everything I got with the stove issue. I did have a heated discussion with one of the reps. I live in a small town. We have a Lowe's and a Home Depot. They found a stove at a Best Buy, and I wasn't gonna drive 38 miles to go with a stove. She finally agreed that she would look at some at Lowe's and let me know what they could do.

    Also, my dryer went out. My breaker had blown and I didn't know it. The tech told me it needed a new part and that the home warranty company would pay for it. I said okay. But then, I could see my dryer from my hallway in my kitchen, and so I watched him and he never changed out the part. I questioned him but he said he did. I called Choice and told them that if he charged them for whatever it was, he did not do that. They called me back and asked me some questions again and I hope they took him off of their list. Other than that, I'm really happy with them right now.

    When we were buying a house, they gave us four home warranty companies to look at. I looked at Choice Home Warranty, and they had the highest rating on the internet.     I heard about Choice from their advertisements and I looked it up. As I'm getting older, I should do everything around my house myself. But I'm pushing 72 and I don't wanna do it anymore, which led me to go into a home warranty company. I usually go online and submit a claim from there. At times, there's a problem with language but it’s been fairly easy and they've been responsive. I had a toilet that kept running and I also had a bad faucet in my sink for my kitchen. The part in the toilet was replaced and I provided a faucet. The repair people changed it and did all the labor on it. The response was good and the service was fairly rapid. As of now, I've had no problem with people coming in and fixing things correctly. I've had some very good people and people who weren't that great, but they were okay.

    I had a problem trying to get somebody to fix my Jacuzzi two years ago and that took a little bit of time. Choice had three guys come in and they were trying to price it out at different places. But eventually, it got done. You have to negotiate with Choice. They have different levels of copayment. Sometimes, you gotta give the people who come in the payment right upfront and they only take cash. But I've had guys who would wait until the end of whatever they do, and you pay a check and it works. I had one problem when Choice didn’t cover my icemaker, which aggravated me. But the coverage has been good.

The reps are very nice and the contractors have been good. They have done what they said they were gonna do. They explained everything to me and took care of the problem.     Four weeks ago, my heater was not putting out. A repairman came out, went upstairs and found out that I had a filter that wasn't working. I asked if I could buy on the side and he said yes.     I had a water leak in the inside plumbing of my house. A plumber came out and fixed the first one. He thought he was done and went away. When I was doing some of the things he suggested, like covering the pipes with insulation, I noticed that one of the pipes was still leaking so I called him up. It took him a little while to get back to me, but he was very friendly. He fixed the problem and in the process, he had to open up a wall to get at the pipe. Then I had to call and get the drywall guys out here. For some of the home warranty companies, that would be part of the first call. But with Choice, it is not. It's an additional $75 because there's another technician coming out. I was surprised at that but I was happy with the jobs that they did. Now I have to finish the sanding on the drywall, painting and putting a new floor in my walk-in closet.

    I've had four claims and I've had one technician who told me that Choice is the best out there but I also had another technician tell me it is the worst. Also, there were some surprises that I wasn't aware of. On one of the things on my electrical claim, the electrician said it wasn't covered, so I had to pay him more money. Another thing is Choice does something that I don't understand. After a week after I open a claim, they ask, “How is our service?” But most of the time, I haven't even seen a serviceman yet. They should at least wait two or three weeks before they send that email out. But overall, I've been very pleased with what they do.

    We purchased a house built in 2005, and during the initial inspection, everything seemed perfect. However, after closing, we were faced with a series of issues, including problems with the wine cooler, dishwasher, and all three HVAC units. Since then, it has been an uphill battle to get the necessary services through Choice Home Warranty.

    The process of submitting a claim is frustrating. Once a ticket is submitted, you only have 30 days to resolve the issue with a $75 co-pay. Many of these problems require replacements that take longer than 30 days to process, forcing us to pay another $75 for the same issue. To make matters worse, Choice Home Warranty consistently finds bizarre reasons to deny coverage. Despite our home inspection clearing the HVAC units, they claimed that the issues were pre-existing and refused to cover the repairs.

    I ended up spending an additional $15,000 out of pocket, which makes me question the purpose of having this insurance at all. It feels like I'm paying both for the insurance and the contractors, yet still end up replacing entire units myself. I am extremely dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty and will never use their services again. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for home warranty coverage.

    This company is absolutely horrible. They closed a claim "by accident" and never informed me. I waited an entire week with freezing temperatures without hot water due to their oversight. I had to fight with them until I spoke to a manager who agreed to let me hire my own plumber and they would reimburse me. To absolutely no surprise at all, they only agreed to reimburse me for half of the cost, and then proceeded to take out another $100 for a service fee when they did NOTHING. I found the plumber, I had to do all the leg work, they did nothing.

    The check was cut and processed a week before my renewal for another month was supposed to go through, yet they withheld mailing my check due to my account being 'past due', an entire week AFTER the check was already cut and processed. This was the last straw for me, as I have had a few bad experiences with claims even before this one. Working with this company has caused me nothing but headaches and high blood pressure.

    I have had a Choice Warrranty for a couple of years. I have a fairly new build home so my appliance are all only about 7.5 years old. I've had them out around 4 times for washer, dryer, fridge and garage door opener. Only once have they had to replace a part for my washer. All other times they just had to play with them and got them to work. Last week my dishwasher decided it wasn’t going to push any water out. I called choice and they had someone call me. The company contacted me and wanted a better description of the problem. I told them it was just doing a lot of noise and no water coming out. The lady on phone told me the tech thinks the motor is broke and they were going to order one and it would be in one day later. I said fine.

    When the tech arrived he was doing a computer check. Not really sure what he found. He said he put the pump and motor in. I wasn’t standing over him I was in living room and could hear lots of banging like he was hitting something with a wrench. I did video it because it seemed unusual. Then he went outside for a bit came back in and said he had to order another part and it would be two weeks. I said fine. After that happened the same afternoon choice emailed me and said they were denying claim because of damage that was not covered. Also found out the tech did not get approval first to put the part in.

    When I emailed them to dispute the denial they called and all I got from the woman was read section 5 or whatever it’s got damage not from normal wear and tear. She did offer to give me 100.00 and I refused. They pretty much told me to take it up with people they sent out. And by the way they are not calling me back either. I am very mad and I will continue fighting about this. I cancelled the policy. I know this is long but when a 70 year old woman is told that she basically damages a dishwasher just by using it with no explanation that is not good. They also would not let me talk to any of the supervisors. Said they were as high as it goes. I guess they own the company. I would never recommend these people. Also the weird thing about it all is that I told them the man was banging on my dishwasher over and over. I even videoed it. No one even asked about seeing the video.

We've been told it could take up to 30 days to receive it, which seems to be longer than necessary for good customer service. This is the FIRST time since joining the company in 2023 that we have been pleased with the selected company to service us. A company selected to service our sump pump the week before had very low ratings on Google w/ strong negative comments. I actually cancelled the appointment. I suggest Choice do a Google search on all companies they send to service customers before dispatching. With the exception of the most recent encounter, we have not been pleased with Choice. Whether we renew our contract (originally for 3 years) is still questionable.

    The technician sent to help us with the stoppage in our sink was a bit off-putting as he was so involved in telling us how we were wrong about where the problem was than to take a breath and listen. He was competent, and in the end he was much more personable. We are not a young couple. He asked about situations with our plumbing that went back to the time we purchased the house over 3 years ago. It wasn't surprising that we couldn't readily remember what if any issue was had and how they were resolved.

    We did go back into the bedroom and tried to recreate memories of this and were able to remember a problem in our main drain back a few years ago. His expertise is very good and I'm not saying we were displeased with his service. He just needs to take a breath sometime and stop talking long enough for a customer to respond. This is especially true of elderly people whose memories may not be what they should be and they take time to sort through and remember certain instances.

    Our technician was awesome. He figured out what the issue with the dishwasher was in a quick and timely manner. Helped us know what needed to be fixed and what happened. Disappointed in Choice Home Warranty as they would not cover the part that needed to be replaced but will take care of them ourselves. I will call the fix it man myself next time instead of using our home warranty but it’s disappointing to have a warranty and they won’t fix certain things that are broken.
