    My heating system went down the Saturday morning before the SuperBowl. I contacted Choice to file a claim. The claim rep was courteous, thorough and competent. I received an automated call from the Choice office approximately an hour later, describing to whom my claim had been forwarded and that someone would be contacting me soon. A half hour later I received a call from the H&AC company contracted to do the work. The rep courteously explained to me that he would not be able to check out my system until Sunday (SuperBowl Sunday) because of prior service commitments. Because of the unusually high temperatures we were experiencing, I had no problem maintaining a comfortable temperature in my home over that weekend.

    As promised, the H&AC rep came to check out my system Sunday morning, explained to me that I would need a replacement blower, and told me that he would order it on Monday and have it installed ASAP. The rep returned on Monday approximately 3:30 pm and I had heat by 5:00 pm. I'm extremely satisfied and gratified with the way in which Choice Home Warranty service managed the administrative aspects of my claim, as well as with the contracting H&AC contractor who serviced my heating system. Right in the nick of time I might add. The temperatures began dropping early Tuesday morning. Thanks, Choice, for the outstanding customer and technical services provided.

    Yesterday (Friday, January 31, 2014) I placed a repair call with CHW for my home washing machine at about 10 am (Pacific Time) and within minutes I was assigned for M/s Sachan Corporation for checking the problem & take action. CHW representative was so kind and provided me with my claim reference number, contact information and told me that my claim will be delivered for action in few minutes. I called the technician (Mario) and he was at my home in less than an hour (this is incredible and I never expected this to happen as quickly as it did). Mr. Mario (from Sachan Corporation) checked my "GE Washing machine" and was able to diagnose the problem in less than 15 minutes. It was the pump that helps draining the water and the technician said that he will do his best to locate the supplier online after he gets CHW's approval.

    Out of curiosity, I contacted CHW's team representative and informed her about the problem and the needed part and she was so helpful and promised to push the repair procedure as soon as she receive the technician's call. In less than half an hour, I received a call from Mario (Technician) informing me that he got CHW's approval and he ordered the needed pump and will be in his way to my home in less than 45 minutes. At about 1 pm (Las Vegas time); Mario arrived with the needed part (pump) and installed it, tested the Washing machine that was ready in less than half an hour with a smile. For such kind of a job it usually takes one to two days and I have to pay hundreds of dollars but with CHW I don't have even to pay the service call (because I had a courtesy free service call) and paid nothing for the parts and the job was executed in less than three hours (from placing the service order to finishing the job and handing it over with its best quality & service).

    I challenge any other insurance or service companies to break this record and I am sure that no one can do it better than CHW and its chain of local maintenance & service contractors. To you all "CHW Sales & Customer Service Team"; I send my best regards & thanks on behalf of my two daughters Hoda & Reema. By your honesty, transparency & dedication, you made my life easier and more comfortable. I am so please to have our "Six-year home service contract" and I look forward to keep your services as long as we are alive.

    Prompt attention at the onset. The tech assigned within 20 minutes, when contacted, I was informed that he did not work on well pumps. Called CW and reported what I found out from the assigned tech, was told that another tech would be assigned, never happened, after waiting a couple of hours called back to CW, was told that I could go the reimbursement route, which I elected to do. Called a local well tech, after a few calls between, myself the tech and CW things moved forward and my water was running when I returned home. The only complaint that I really have is that CW service personnel appear not to read the files before reading their scripts.

    I had the "other" home warranty company for 7 years. Every year the contract and service fee would go up. Last year my wife showed me an ad for Choice Home Warranty, and we decided to give them a try since their price was about what we paid the other company when we started with them. I had a problem with my garbage disposal and the technician that came was from the same plumbing company that the other warranty company used, so I knew then that Choice used reliable companies.

    Last summer my wife and I went out on a Saturday night for dinner. When we returned home the blast of hot air we received upon opening the front door was the first clue that the air conditioner was not working. In Las Vegas daytime high temperatures reach just about everyday into the 100's, and at night it drops to about 85. We figured to call Choice right away and check into a hotel the next morning until the A/C was fixed since it was a weekend and we knew it would take a while for the vendor to get to us.

    As we were getting ready to leave the house the next morning the repair company not only called us, but said they would have someone there by 2:00PM. Could not believe this being a Sunday. They arrived about noon, and the A/C was once again blowing cold air in about an hour. My contract was about to expire a month ago and Choice called me to let me know my options if I wanted to renew. I took their 5 year plan, which worked out great financially.

    I have a double oven and I had problem with shutting off then popping on by itself. A real safety issue I thought. The control buttons were not lit up and the oven would not come on. On two occasions I had issues where I put in a claim.     I recently placed a service call to CHW about my electric stove not working. Within 24 hrs a service technician came out and discovered that the problem with the stove involved an electrician so I called CHW back and they were very quick in getting an electrician to call me and was out to my home within 18 hrs and fixed the problem.     I must say, I have used many home warranty companies both for my primary home and my investment properties and this is one of the best companies yet. I have filed several claims from plumbing leaks to appliances and this company has treated the claims very fair. The service fee is fairly low compared to other home warranty companies. They always follow up with a call regarding your claim and e-mail. If there are some with bad experiences with this company, there is probably more to the story.

    My experience with CHW is they cover the repair of small appliances like minor electrical outlet problems, garbage disposal and thermostat for refrigerator but not major appliances. They will always find a reason to deny your claim on any major appliance. They denied the claims for the repair of my furnace and washer. The first was my furnace. Their reason for denying the claim was that I called the first day my policy kicked in. The next one was my washer. They claimed the problem likely resulted from overloading the washer (why on earth will any reasonable/responsible person overload a washer?) so for that conceived reason it was not covered.

    The staff in the claims department (a lady) I spoke to initially was so unprofessional that I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was kept on hold for over 20 minutes and finally the supervisor who spoke to me was most unpleasant. I quote the supervisor "we do not care about what the technician told you or did not tell you. We have funds but do not cover repairs caused by you overloading the washer". No courtesy whatsoever. Everything was done unprofessionally and in a discriminatory way, therefore I am unable to recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone!

    My furnace stopped working during a major cold blast - woke up to temps in my home of 46. I called Choice Home Warranty company who dispatched the repair request to Integrity Heating and Cooling.     At 9 pm Wed. night (1-22-14), my renters called, no heat. Terrible going to be 29 degrees, she has 2 under 6 and one due any day!!! I called and you got someone over there the next day at 11am!!     Recently had the inside central unit stop working. Choice Home warranty had a repair company come out to fix it the next day. Service guy was very helpful. His assessment of the problem showed the need for a part he had to order.     I have not had any problems to date. I hope all goes well for the entire length of contract. I had heat pump issues and the first person they wanted me to contact never returned my call. They gave me another name, he came out the next day, found a fuse problem and repaired. Had the same problem less than 2 weeks later and had him come back, no charge to me. Again not long after, same issue and I asked for a different person, but none close by. They said I could get my own to check it, have him call to authorize repair, pay him, and put in for reimbursement. That was just the other day. Unit fine so far and hope for quick response on reimbursement.

    A week ago last Wednesday, January 8th, I came home to find my house getting colder. The thermostat was set at 69 degrees and the temp in the house was 55.     We had the Choice Warranty for over one year and we called for service first time as the home was not cooling. The technician found that the Freon was gone from the AC condenser due to a leak. We paid $49 for this. Choice said that they do not cover leak detection test and we had to get that done at our own expense. We paid $150 to get leak detection test. After that it was determined that there was leak in the condenser coil in 2 places. Choice refused to fix it saying it was not regular wear and tear. We had all service records and inspection report but Choice refused to accept anything and refused to fix AC. Choice Warranty is a scam... Try other companies!!

    When I bought my double-wide and was told about this coverage I was skeptical because my home is an older one. But having talked to some neighbors they gave me the name of several companies but this one was most common.     My husband and I purchased a warranty through them and after the waiting period, we started having issues with our stovetop. So, a couple of days later I called to place a claim. After a week, someone was sent out to look at it. The technician simply looked at it, never taking any tools from his bag and said "I think it's this and we'll start here and go from there." The next day the technician called to tell me that because my stove was old and the part he "thought" was bad would cost a lot of money to fix, that the warranty company was going to offer me a buyout. The following day I receive a call from the warranty company telling me that they are denying my claim. The stated that the repairman told them that there were several things wrong with my stove. So, the warranty company had came to the conclusion that there were issues with my stove before the warranty became effective. This company is a joke and a rip off, don't bother wasting your money.

    I've been a customer under contract with them for several years. After you sign up with them they send you a contract that gives you a whole list of things they do no repair to the appliance. Usually these are major parts to the appliance. So when your appliance stops working they say that it's not covered because this is one of those parts in the contract. Or if it is a part that is covered they will find something about the product that had one of its parts recalled about 10 years ago and they never cover any item that had a recalled part even if that part was replaced. I've had my refrigerator go, sorry not covered, my dish washer go, sorry not covered, my toilet went, "oh that model we don't cover." Nothing is ever covered for some lame reason or another. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!

    The electrician was great. No problems with him. He gets 5 stars, but the reason why he didn't get 5 stars was due to your end. When he had to call you to get your approval, it took at least 25 minutes for someone to answer the phone and the music was annoying, and then he had to explain everything to him in order to start the job. This was not great customer service on your end.

    I have had Choice Home Warranty for the past three years and I will never be without it.     Following my original evaluation of CHW, I was contacted by senior level management who did an outstanding job of listening to my concerns and compromising on a solution. Following the compromise the representative gave suggestions for avoiding any problems with claims in the future. I am satisfied with the resolution of the matter.

    I have an AC/Heat unit that is 21 years old. My system is insured by Choice Home Warranty (CHW). After the system went down and a leaking coil was found CHW denied replacing due to the finding of rust in the system. The repair indicated that the system was 21 years old and it was normal wear and tear and was not due to rust or corrosion (although he did spot some rust/ corrosion). After denying the claim, I was instructed to have a second opinion. I had a second certified company come out and inspect the system and they also indicated that it was normal wear and tear (metal fatigue) and not due to any rust or corrosion. Also, I had to pay $170 to get the second opinion.

    The second repair service actually said everything looked VERY well maintained for being 21 years old. He was very clear to the claims department that no amount of maintenance could prevent the leak. I heard the second repair service say very explicitly that this was NOT a maintenance issue. After speaking with CHW's account manager, he indicated that any rust on the system would result in the denial of the claim. Although two technicians stated the system failed (leaking coil) was caused by old age and not rust, CHW denied the claim because ANY rust was found. This is another example of a home warranty company doing whatever it takes to deny a claim that they are clearing responsible for covering.
