I was not satisfied with the first technician assigned to look at my broken garage door opener; thus I called Choice Warranty and they assigned another technician. The second company was excellent. They analyzed the problem immediately and resolved the issue by replacing the broken opener with a new one. The mechanic did an excellent job.

The current claim, no sooner that the assigned technician informed me that my dishwasher would be too expensive to repair, CHW Representative called me to inform that I would receive a check for the replacement for my dishwasher. Not only was the response quick, the representative was polite and professional. This certainly was a pleasant experience to a unfortunate incident with my major appliance.

Do not even ask this company for a quote unless you want them to stalk you for the next year (or longer). I have "unsubscribed" from their emails countless times and they keep emailing me. I immediately mark their emails as spam, throw them away, and they invent new ways to get their junk advertisements back into my inbox. I am so over this damn company. Stop it now!!!

The Furnace was leaking due to a faulty gasket and cover plate which was not readily available. While the first attempts at repair were not successful, the company persisted and the problem of locating the needed part was resolved and the furnace completely repaired. In each of the needed service calls, only the initial service call charge was out of pocket.

Aire Serv owner made the appointment for 8:30 am on Saturday. He arrived at 8:29 am, diagnosed the problem, but did not have the necessary part with him. He said that he would get the part, but had another appointment before noon, so would be back to install the new part at noon. HE WAS. I was well satisfied with all of the procedure.

I had a problem with the heating system. It wasn't working properly with a burning smell, then I called Choice Home Warranty and they immediately assigned me to the Technical group who called me to arrange appointment and he came on time and fixed it, and he didn't leave until he made sure everything was ok. It was a great experience and I recommend Choice Home.

I brought a home warranty and they said with this plans regardless of age of home, make, model, if something break and they cannot fix it, they replace it free. This past 1-15-2015 Thursday I got up and hot water tank was not working. No hot water. I called them out to see what was problems and they found it was under fixable and now they don't want to replace it. They stall me over the phone for two days and I got up Saturday. Called them to find out they closed for weekend, never followed up with me, with holiday Monday that mean I been without hot water for over 5 days. They lied on technician about they have the claim but never told them to fixed my hot water tank. This is unacceptable, leaving me out in cold like this and you go home and don't care but lie to consumer what you are selling.

Our dishwasher was not cleaning properly. It first started on the upper rack, then the lower rack did not come out clean either. I contacted Choice Home Warranty and within 2 days someone came out and cleaned it out and replaced a part that was not allowing water to flow through my dishwasher. The repairman was from Sears and he was Excellent! He was on time, did the repair quickly and was very professional! I was grateful because it was fixed before the holidays. I have had Choice Home Warranty for quite a few years and found them to be very fair. I will continue to use them because it gives me peace of mind that I will be covered for when I need future repairs.

Well it's never fun when an Appliance you use often breaks down. Our Wash Machine was not agitating so we called our Choice Home Warranty company and places a service request and they were very helpful to get us set up ASAP with a service person and to even help me call them. Well, after the service person came over, he determined it was not worth repair...Not Good. Well Choice called and will be sending us a check to apply to an new Washer. You have a very satisfied client who is also a Realtor, so you can believe I will be referring Choice Home Warranty to my clients. Thanks!!!

Water was standing around the base of the toilet. The service agent came out and surveyed the problem and came back later and corrected the problem. He said he would be in my location at specific time and he was there. The whole process was smooth and simple.

My washer repair claim has been the third claim I have had to make since having my home warranty. Each time I have called at after hours and have always got a response and able to make claim at that point. I have had great customer service and response from Choice Warranty. Once this policy is over I am wanting to continue my service for another year. I would recommend Choice Warranty to anyone. Great job and thanks for all your help.

Oue double wall ovens failed so we called Choice to have them repaired. Turned out the needed part was no longer available (14 years old). Expected the coverage to be repair or replace but NO, not at Choice. Their coverage gave us the cost of the part and its replacement only! The total was $180 for double wall ovens!!! Our replacement ovens cost us $4,500!!! Now looking at the fine print on their contract vs what is indicated on their website. We will not renew and would discourage anyone from signing up with Choice.

The problem was with the freezer of our Subzero refrigerator. They came as scheduled and determined that a part had to be ordered. We were called a few days later and the part was in. The tech came as scheduled, solved the problem and did an excellent job. Can't ask for more than that.

My experience with Choice Home Warranty for a heating unit repair proved to be an excellent experience. The representative that initiated my claim was very polite and courteous. She took my information precisely and accurate. A qualified technician was dispatched and called me within a two hour window, which was unexpected being we're in the winter months with lots of breakdowns. The technician diagnosed my problem and repaired my unit within a 30 minute timeframe after arrival. Now that's quality service!!

Then I received call from the guy and he show up next day and he diagnosed and he told he will back and after two days he called me and told he got the part he will come and fix it. I have no heat on my 2nd floor since last Thursday. I called Choice Home Warranty, they sent somebody but he could not figure it out why there is no heat. Technician vinny from their vendor promised me He will come back & make sure everything is ok. But I am waiting for him to come back for last 5 days but he never showed up. Every time you call he promised he will come back but when he do not show up & he has a excuse either he is sick or child is sick or he has to go to wedding & make me wait from last 4 to 5 days. As of today I still have a same problem. I have to put portable heater in my house upstairs so pipe do not get freeze. Every time you called home choice warranty they will tell you "we will stay on top of it & take care of it." Today home choice warranty promised me they will take care of it. Let's see.

I called in the morning to Choice Warranty regarding my garbage disposal that was not working and it was also leaking. I was given a claim number by Choice. The plumbing company (Watson Plumbing) called me within an hour of receiving the claim number to set up a time. The time was scheduled the same morning. Please let Benjamin ** (the Mechanic who came out) manager know he did a great job and was very personable and cleaned the area off well. Thanks again.

Choice Home Warranty Sucks, they do not live up to expectations. They do not cover appliances as stated in warranty, and when something major happens they do not uphold their end of the deal. I have now been without AC/HEAT for over six months, getting an attorney and fighting this with them for their own techs' mistakes. I cancelled my policy after being a loyal customer for well over a year and they claimed I never cancelled it. A lot of problems with them...

My first experience with Choice Home Warranty did not go well. My wife and I purchased a new home on December 10th and a condition of buying the house was that the sellers purchase a home warranty to cover us in the event that there was something wrong with the house. According to Choice's website one of the benefits of a home warranty is that they cover new homeowners at a time when financial strain is at its most (after purchasing a house).
The first really cold day of the year, our downstairs furnace went out. This was 27 days after purchasing the house. I contacted Choice and they told me that someone would be in touch to schedule a service. The return phone call that I received instead stated that Choice does not cover issues with houses during the first 30 days after purchase because it is a pre-existing condition. Furthermore, after I bankroll any repairs, I have to provide a receipt proving that the repairs were completed or they would assume any future issues with this unit are also a pre-existing condition.
I cannot fathom why to renew my home warranty with this particular company with that level of customer service. I don't know if it was a pre-existing condition but I negotiated a home warranty to be paid for if there was the eventuality of a problem and to protect myself from it. Is it the fault of the home warranty that I had this problem? No, but covering these issues should be the cost of doing business. This rule was created to protect the company and not its brand new customers who just paid for the protection that they are not receiving. I am not writing this review because I don't think that they are potentially capable but to warn new homeowners that this is not the company for you. If you think that there is even the possibility that there could be a problem with the new house then get a company without this ridiculous 30 day rule.
Two more points. The first 30 days, according to the website, is a part of the total time you are covered. That means you are only getting 11 months of protection from them rather than the full 12 that you are paying for. The second point is that the furnace kicked back on and the downstairs is now 68 degrees while it is 30 outside. Apparently I still have to get a tech to come look at it if I ever want to have a claim in the future over this unit. Not worth it. I should have read the fine print and found this error. If I had, I would have gone with a different company. Guess the ball is in the court of public opinion now.

I called on Monday about my washer. The call was answered by a very nice and helpful gentleman. He explained the entire process. That afternoon I was contacted regarding the repair. The repairman was there the next afternoon fix the problem. He was very helpful also. Compare to the other home warranty services I have dealt with in the past this was by far the easiest and best.

I called just before Thanksgiving because my washer was acting up. I put in a online for a repair and it was very easy to do. I got a response within less than an hour with the name of the company and phone # to call to set up an appointment. I was not happy with the appointment time frame so I called Choice and they set me up with Sears with a quicker response time. Tech came and fixed my machine and I have been happy since. I like Choice Home Warranty deductible. It's very affordable.

From the time I called in to file a claim and the time the response came through, it seemed like just minutes until I got a call from the electrician setting up my appointment to come check the problem out. The electrician called me prior to coming out and I was given ample time to leave my job and come meet him. This was the first time I have ever called upon a Home Warranty service so I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised when I made my first call to Choice Home Warranty. I just want to report that my heat went out suddenly last Saturday. I called the claim in a little after 9:00am, and had a repairman in my home within 2 hours. The repairman was able to diagnose the problem, go for replacement parts and repair the unit by 3:00pm, and all of this on a weekend! I was impressed.

My heater's circuit board went out and I contacted Choice Home Warranty. They sent a tech out who initially stated that my pressure sensor was not working properly and needed to be cleaned. He cleaned it and it ran for a few hours. After noticing that the heat wasn’t working properly, I called him back to state that the fan was coming on but not the heat. He came out the next day and said the circuit board was going bad. To get a second opinion, I contacted my regular HVAC tech who has been servicing my unit for 8+ years to get his feedback. After his review he stated that the circuit board may be causing the gas valve not open properly but what was needed first was the Circuit board. I followed up with Choice Warranty and was told that the Circuit Board was a secondary issue caused by the primary issue (GAS valve) and it was not covered. I disagreed with this as well as my tech.
I contacted the company several times and was told they would send another technician out to verify the circuit board causing the gas valve to not open properly. When I contacted the company the following day to see when I could set up the technicians visit. I was told that that was never said and it wasn’t in their file. I called several times to speak with a manager, was told he (**) would call me back and he never did. I had to call him back several times to speak with him. Needless to say the cost of the circuit board was around $160... I spent way more in monthly premiums for the warranty. A complete waste of money!
I am outraged as I have been putting more money into my monthly plan than what the part was even worth and to have them treat me as a consumer so poorly. This company is a complete rip off. You are ok as long as you are paying your monthly premium and not filing a claim. This is by far the WORST home warranty company I ever dealt with. I would recommend paying a few dollars more to get good service because you won’t find it with Choice Home Warranty.

My washing machine broke 4 days before Christmas. I called immediately and was given a number for a repairman. However when I called that number it was not working so I had to call CHW back. They were very apologetic and tried the number for me and got in touch with the repairman and had him call me. Everyone was very professional and polite.

Our Microwave went out about a week ago. Choice Home Warranty were prompt in their response and sending out a Tech. They offered to pay for 3/4 of the cost of the Microwave or Fix it at no cost. We are very pleased with Their Warranty Program.

Called for repair. Was contacted by a 3rd party, All Desert Appliances, who serviced our dishwasher in a timely manner. I feel the customer service that I received from Choice Warranty was excellent.

I was told the water heater was not covered by my contract. Because of the wording on the contract, it was not clear. After speaking to their representative, they agreed to pay for half and apologized for the misunderstanding. I found them to be accommodating.

We do not understand why there is such limited coverage to replace our water heater. At the time we spoke to your sales dept. they did not let us know just what kind of coverage we were getting. By the time we received the information, it was still confusing to read what was included and what was not.

Everyone at Choice was very helpful. I called very late in the evening and they assigned Empire to solve my problem right away. Empire responded the first chance they could and was able to fix the problem. Very happy with service at both ends and would highly recommend Choice to my friends.

I called about our a/c not working. They sent a tech out, he inspected the unit said freon was good but compressor had locked up and that chw should replace it. Not 5 min later I called chw to see when they would fix it and they said they were not going to cover it due to sludge build up which makes it pre existing. I asked the tech. He said there's no sludge, they just say that to deny the claim... The tech told us it's been that way for over two years that chw has never approved a claim... Please stay away from choice home warranty. Save yourself the headache.

I called to get my light switch fixed and they didn't even send a electrician to diagnose it. The lady diagnosed it ON THE PHONE and didn't allow my claim to be sent to electrician. I am looking at another home warranty company. Glad I only signed up for 1 year that ends 3/31/15.

On December 2, 2014, I contacted Choice Home Warranty, the heat in my home was not working in my home. They dispatched someone who came the next day, assessed the issue and returned two days later to repair. One of the two repairs were covered. I paid $300 for the other repair. Two weeks later, my heat went out again, but then came back on. The week of Christmas, my heat went out again, so I contacted CHW. They dispatched the SAME company. They issued the SAME repair. The next day, my heat still wasn't working. I contacted CHW AGAIN. They wanted to dispatch the same company. This is getting old. I suggested they find a new contractor who might be able to identify the real issue, CHW agreed. The new repair company came to my home that same night and assessed a new problem for why the heat was continuously shutting off. He had to notify CHW which was protocol.
The next morning, after I called CHW about the status of my claim, they informed me that the repair company they dispatched just 12 hours prior, they no longer work with. Seriously? So they are looking for another NEW company to come fix the issue. So we're waiting on New Years Eve for an update. Two hours pass and I haven't heard from them. I called at 2 pm to follow up and they are still looking for someone. I never hear anything from them the rest of the day nor by 10am Friday, January 2, 2015. I call again. They then tell me they are still trying to locate a company but NOW I have the option to find someone myself and be reimbursed. Why wasn't this option offered to me Wednesday, December 31, 2014?
Needless to say I am not happy with the level of service and concern from Choice Home Warranty. There is a lack of urgency to service and keep customers happy. I will not be renewing my policy with them in March and will write a letter to the Better Business Bureau and the Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS. I don't recommend them to any homeowner.

My last fiasco with this company was this morning.... grrrrr! We purchased an older ('60's) home 5+ years ago knowing that we were going to update and renovate. At the time of purchase an American Home Shield warranty was included in our package, I maintained their coverage until the Fall of 2013 because while we had replaced some items, the HVAC and 2 water heaters were still the existing units. We had filed several claims with AHS over that time and all but one were approved... not always the best experience, but in the end they did okay. I decided not to renew because of a denied claim on the HVAC and the higher renewal price/service call fee. I then picked Choice Home Warranty, lots of sales hype and I could cancel and get my money back at any time, reduced service call fee and a reasonable rate on the policy... all major companies have to be similar... right? Boy was I ever wrong!
Heater blower making a grinding noise (I think that the bearings might be going out) "we don't cover noise", I told them that it wasn't the noise I was calling about, it was whatever had changed to cause the noise... service fee and no change... Don't know what is wrong, but we can't repair because of noise! Ultimately had it replaced by a private company... The bearings were worn and it would have burned out the motor if I had left it any longer.
A/C compressor goes out, I have a house full of company coming in 4 days. Can't get responses from their "contractor" and they have FOUR full days to RESPOND, not even arrive, if the call is made on a weekend! Finally get someone and then the claim is denied because I don't have records to document service according to the manufacturer’s specifications! You're correct, I haven't owned the whole time since the unit was new! Denied! Took all of 4 days to get the answer without air (100 degree weather). I pay a private company $2000 to replace. At this point I decide to cancel policy... Was told that I should just leave in place cause I would only get $50 back with proration and fees (I should have taken my $50 bucks) in case I had an issue before January 5th when the policy expires.
01/01/15, we get up to no hot water. I started not to call, but thought, what the heck.. I probably won't hear from them because it's a holiday and they will wait it out because the policy expires in 5 days and I have on 2 occasions been very clear that I will not renew. I email them at 6:30 and by 11:00 AM have a notice to call their plumber and schedule a diagnosis! (thinking maybe I might have been too hasty in saying I wouldn't renew). Plumber (same company that came out on the 2 previously denied claims) arrives at 1:30, looks at it says that the burner won't stay lit because there is slight leak that he THINKS might drip on the burner. He never even tried to re-light the burner (I had earlier and it wouldn't stay light longer than 10 minutes). He said it need to be replaced, but he couldn't yesterday because the supply companies were closed for the holiday, I understood, and he said he would submit the claim and call me back.
I stopped him and asked, "So is there any reason you see that they would deny this claim? Is there something that will be in your report that would make it not covered?" His response "This is a slam dunk... not much more that could be wrong with a water heater." He never called back and I assumed it was because of the holiday. This morning at 9 AM I receive an email asking me to call CHW. I get through to a man who says he is a supervisor. He review the notes and tells me that because of the tank LEAKING on the burner and the stoppage with the roots growing into the pipes, my claim is denied! I said “What?! There are no roots growing into a pipe in the water heater closet in the middle of my house!” He repeats it again, and says the plumber found roots when he ran a "snake" in the line...
I said that no lines were run, there was no snake and there was not stoppage. I asked if he understood how a water heater worked and if not give me a different supervisor. Then I was told that because the tank was leaking it would not be covered... I asked, “What else could be wrong with a water heater other than the burner and the tank?” Again, denied! Biggest bunch of crooks... ever! So if you’re even thinking of considering Choice... don't do it! It's a total waste of money and time and money and time and peace of mind!

Was not happy when my range started overheating & displaying error codes.... around the holidays at that! I began the claim process believing that due to the holidays, it would be weeks before it would get looked at..... Within 24 hours the "ball was rolling" & a tech was at my door assessing the situation!! Awesome service!!!

The pilot light on my furnace kept going out. CHW had two technicians to come out, the following day, who diagnosed the problem and replaced the part. They even gave me the old part which was replaced. I am no longer in the cold. Thanks.

When our oven wouldn't light, I called Choice Home Warranty. They responded quickly and I was able to contact the repair service and set up an appointment. Mr. ** couldn't have been more respectful but I was disappointed that he didn't take the microwave apart to really see if what he thought the problem was is really what is the problem. Now I'm not sure this microwave couldn't be saved.

I renewed my home warranty in September of 2014. I placed a service call on a clothes dryer in December of that same year. Choice Home Warranty refused to warrant the repairs stating some sort of secondary conditions that they never explained. They just said they would not cover the cost of repairs. I requested they cancel my policy in writing. This took three emails before they would cancel the policy. They stated my refund would be applied to my credit card. I contacted them stating I did not pay with a credit card, I paid with a check and gave them the check number and the bank it was drawn on. It is now January 2015 and I still have not received a refund. I would never recommend this company to warrant anything.

Basically they don't cover anything a home warranty should cover --- the rust and erosion, which is the nature derogation of common use of your appliance. I just spent $6000 replaced my heating unit due to the heating exchanger is rusted, and choice home denied the claim. I worked with technicians from different contracting companies and they all told me choice home is the WORST!
When I try to cancel my contract, they said I can only get $120 (7 months in 13 months) contract. So they told me better to stay in contract.

I was out of town when I needed help. I called and got the help I needed for two different occasions, back to back. Customer service asked if it was the garbage disposal and I said no. If I had said yes I wouldn't had to pay 90.00 dollars. She knew from my description, but I didn't mind because it was on a weekend. If had to call a plumber it would have been higher, so I am pleased with you.

I have complained about my Microwave Oven issue. The Choice warranty service was great. They immediately sent the Service representative to check the problem. He recommended the Choice Home warranty to replace the oven with New Oven. The warranty company issued me a check for replacement. But they asked me to install on my own. I did not expect this. My previous home warranty company used to install the non functional items for me. This is the only thing that I did not like. Apart from that, I liked the Choice warranty service.

On 12/22 I had a tune up on my Heat pump system and the ARS technician found a leak in the evap coils and a weak capacitor. I initiated a claim with Choice Home Warranty and was told the claim is denied because I had a Carrier Heat Pump outside unit, and a Trane air handler, in which the liquid pipe that connects the two units are of different sizes, not compatible, thereby, contributing in part to the failure of my system. Choice Home Warranty approved a claim about 6 years ago to replace the outside heat pump. I had no choice in the matter and trusted the technicians that they sent to make the replacement and could not know that the new unit was made to fit, and not a match. CHW caused the failure when they approved the carrier unit to be installed with my Trane air handler. I no longer trust CHW, will not renew and do not recommend that company to any one.

I am overall very happy with the services we have received with Choice Home Warranty. Every time I call I am able to speak directly to someone starts the process of getting a tech to the house. The only reason I didn't score 5 stars was because of a company they had come out was not great to work with but I noticed after saying my concerns to Choice they did not have the same company come out again. They have been great to have as a home warranty company.

I am currently with American home Shield, but trying to make a decision on whether to stay with them or not. I filled out an online form so that I could receive a quote. I received a quote instantly. After that I immediately received a phone call. I told the guy that I needed to know what the service call fee was because that was not made clear to me with the quote received. I referenced AHS because I was comparing them to that company to make my decision. The guy hung up on me. A band called the customer service line for the company to speak to a representative there. I asked him could I have a customized plan the way I did with AHS so that I could compare apples to apples. His communication skills were lacking and I have to pull information out of him. They were being very dismissive to me and I wasn't even a customer yet. I hate to see how they would treat me once they receive my money. I am definitely staying with AHS. I'll just have to pay the higher service call fee in return for quality service.

They coxed me into signing up for a long 5 year contract and telling me that I can cancel anytime and get prorated refund. After a few service calls, they started to find all excuses to decline coverage. When I cancelled, they charged me $50 in cancellation fee PLUS ALL THEIR PREVIOUS PAY OUTS!! So, essentially, I paid them all these coverage time for nothing. Worst company ever.

My fridge stopped working so I had to get my own appliance guy to come and look at problem since it was two days before Christmas and Choice could not send somebody till Dec. 30. I had to pay guy myself who diagnosed the problem was an electrical one. Choice then sent an electrician on Dec. 24 who was able to fix the electrical issues.

Keystone Realty just took over these units and their reps were honest about that had happen out at this unit prior to us. The vendor M&A HVAC services was honest about what was going on. He quickly went back out to check the unit, he knew it was the tenant unsure about a heat pump. He explained to the tenant how a heat pump worked. I have not heard back from tenant since he went out there.

With the first cold morning in November, I couldn't get my furnace to turn on. I called CHW who gave me the name & number of a professional to call. I called Choice Home Warranty about a faulty kitchen sink garbage disposal. They assigned my call to Royal Flush Plumbing. Their technician came on the prescribed date at the prescribed time, quickly assessed the problem and obtained approval from Choice to replace the appliance. He did so quickly and effectively and the new disposal was working great just in time for Christmas cooking and cleaning duties. I was impressed and appreciative.

I had leakage at my house on Friday night and I called up Choice Home Warranty. They assigned a plumber to look into this but that plumber was not available on weekend so they asked me to call any plumber or contractor and get the leakage fixed and submit the claims later. Problem was fixed by other plumber and I paid him out of my pocket for full repair. But the plumber they assigned came to check if everything was fine and he did his own review. I have submitted the claims and hoping they will refund it without any problem. I would recommend them to my friends for sure. Thanks.

Sunday, December 21, we experienced serious leaking from the kitchen sink. I called Choice and was quickly set up with a plumber who promised to arrive Monday, December 22, by 9:00 a.m. The plumber (Prestige Plumbing) arrived by the time promised. He quickly analyzed the problem -- and solved it.

They told me when I signed up that everything is covered. If they can't fix it, they will replace the appliance. I had my warranty in effect for 40 days and my oven went out. They sent a guy out to my house (arrived over 2 hours late) to look at it. He never pulled the oven out and never tested anything. He was on phone the whole time. Choice said that the problem was the touch pad and that caused the ECB to go out. Since the guy never tested anything, I asked about a second opinion. They said I could pay for the second opinion and they could talk to the tech while he was there and could get things approved if needed. They are CLOSED on Saturday when the tech was at my house. Even though their website says they are there 24/7. 2nd tech spoke to them and let them know his findings that the ECB is what is bad, that the touch pad works fine. They keep saying they won't cover the ECB because it was caused by the touch pad. They also say, because they don't want to cover the claim that it happened too soon after getting coverage. I cooked for 63 people for Thanksgiving. That would be impossible to do if I had an oven that didn't work.
Everyone that answers their phones say they are a supervisor. No one is a supervisor. Told them I wanted my money back! And the cost of the deductible for the 1st guy that came out. They refused to give me the full amount of my policy that I paid, AND THEY ARE TAKING A $50 CANCELLATION FEE FROM WHAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID!!! The guy offered to waive the $50 if I would sign a waiver and not post any reviews. I will not accept his $50 because I feel like everyone needs to know what thieves they are! They take your money, send unqualified people to your house, and then refuse to cover the problem (even when I had a certified appliance technician come out). DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY. IT ISN'T WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON!!! THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, and they don't have a problem in cancelling your policy because they aren't going to cover anything. They take your money and when you do have a claim, they won't cover it.

Choice Home W. representatives were very polite and handled the claim fast and with accuracy. I received several emails along for confirmation that I received the requested service. Unfortunately, the choice of providers has much to improve. I have yet to get my tank serviced, even though I was promised by the company that they would come out the next day. I also had to call many times before they even answered the phone. Another company I called didn't even have a working phone.

The washer was found to be non-repairable. Choice contacted me the same day to issue credit for new product. What a great service, hope they're around for a long time.

Contacted CHW about my needed repairs. They immediately started the process and found someone to contact me. After some questions, they, (Sears) determined that they could not provide the service needed. After a few days, CHW contacted me and asked if I would agree to locate someone locally to repair and they would reimburse me the additional cost if any. When the repairman came and determined the cost I called CHW and let them talk to the Repairman and then sent me a reimbursement request form. Now waiting on the parts to arrive so repairs can be completed. Then the process can be completed.

The technician said most of the damage was done to the door even though the entire dishwasher was damaged. The results were they could not fix it and would not replace it. Choice offered me $200.00, but I was still not happy as I felt they should have replaced the dishwasher. They called me back to settle for another $100.00. I accepted the total amount of $300.00.

New dishwasher (3 years old, with receipt from Lowes) was totally destroyed by the tenant. The service company was prompt and courteous. The damages were mostly done to the door as well as to other parts to the dishwasher. The final results were can't fix it and no replacement. I was not happy at all so I wanted to cancel policy. I never had a claim since the inception of the policy (2011) so a manager offered me $200.00 and a free service call for the next time. Even though most of the damage was done to the door, the entire dishwasher was damaged. I think they should have replace the dishwasher instead of $200.00 towards a new one.

The Technician was on time. He was polite, investigating the problem thoroughly. He was orderly and clean while he replacement my garbage disposal.

I transferred a few of my policies from American Home Shield to Choice Home Warranty. By far this is the worst thing I could have ever done for myself and for my company. I have had a tenant without hot water for over 4 days and Choice would not approve repairs due to the fact that their "pre-screened technicians" were unable to diagnose the problem accurately. After the third day I was asked to find my own plumber and pay him to find out what I would need to fix my water heater and I did just that to find out that Choice did not want to pay what he was asking to fix the hot water heater even after wasting 3 days of both my time and leaving my tenant without hot water.
After about an hour of probing questions to the point of which I am ready to just cancel this policy and pay out of pocket so my tenant would not have to suffer any longer with out hot water, Choice agreed to reimburse me for the repairs on the hot water heater. I received confirmation email for the reimbursement forms, so I quickly contacted the plumber that I found and asked that he return to the property immediately to fix the hot water heater. Approximately an hour and half later Choice calls and says they are no longer going to assist with the repairs for the hot water heater because some "unknown technician" called them and said we did not have water in the tank - that's why the heating elements were bad. I asked them who was this guy that's saying this and how does he come to this conclusion. These are false statements. I would like to know what type of diagnosis he could perform to say this and who authorized this person to come to the house. I was simply told now we will not cover the repairs and I had to deal with it. This is completely erroneous and I will NEVER recommend anyone to take the RISK of dealing with this company.

Of all days, my water heater quit working on Thanksgiving Day. I was in distress but then I remembered that I had this coverage but I figured with it being the holiday, their office would be closed. I decided to call anyway and to my surprise, my call was answered by a cheerful rep willing to help. I was ecstatic. She was right on it as far as setting up my claim and setting the expectations regarding getting an appointment set up. My water heater was repaired without incident. Smooth transaction. I'm so happy that I have this coverage.

The first company did not come out, but I was very pleased with Crystal pool work. They asked for model number and came prepared to fix my problem. I have recommended your company to friends.

When I was sleeping early in the morning, I heard a noise with something sounding like bubbling and when I got up, I looked in my shower and saw what I thought was dirt on the ground. Later on when I was washing clothes and someone flushed the toilet, the bubbling sound happened again and fecal water was coming out of my shower and both bathtubs and the toilet was bubbling, it was non-stop for a few minutes. I called choice home warranty to see if they even covered the plumbing. I wasn't sure because I have not called about anything yet and not only did they cover it but they had a plumber call me back within the hour and he was at my house within two hours not even and fixed the problem very fast!

Had a problem with my Whirlpool washer. Called the claims department and told them about it and they asked some questions and that afternoon they emailed me a contact to make an appointment to get it fixed. The repair man showed up, fixed it with no charge to me and it is good. Very happy with the service.

This is the first experience I have using the policy and the promptness of your service and the ease that your customer service provides is really good. After using other companies and being disappointed, I am happily surprised that it is now actually working out.

Overall it was good. However a few things can be improved upon. First I was assigned a technician who does not service my area, so I had to call again to get a different technician. The 2nd technician I got delayed the service and I always felt like I had to wait just because I was coming via a Choice Home Warranty. Probably you can give a list of few service technicians to customer so we have a choice.

When we first talked to Choice we already were very happy about the knowledgeable sales person and the various options he showed us and gave a very good recommendation. After about 9 weeks we needed repair service. Since Choice did not have a technician available at that time for our particular appliance, they suggested that we choose our own pay and Choice would reimburse us. Work was done we talked to Malka another very efficient and courteous staff lady, who arranged for our reimbursement. We highly recommend Choice.

I was very pleased with the exceptional level of service. When I contacted Choice Home warranty about this on Sunday afternoon via email less than 4 hours later I received a phone call from J & J septic service and an email from Choice. By Monday at 11 am the septic tank had been pumped out and parts ordered for my system. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

After hitting a brick wall in the beginning, due to no one in the area to do the job, my service experience took a complete u turn after receiving a call from Laura. She took things too a whole new level of customer satisfaction for me. One day later everything was fixed completely. Laura was VERY prompt, friendly and concern about my needs. All of a sudden, my washer decided to go on the fritz. Submitted claim online (real easy) and received call from their claim department within the hour. Representative asked questions, assigned claim number and advised that we would receive call from repair technician within 48 hrs. Well, had technician at home within 48 hrs! Unfortunately, washer repair wasn't a cost efficient solution so they provided compensation instead. Considering that we had used the washer for 3+ years, compensation was fair. Very happy with Choice Warranty.

My refrigerator/freezer stopped working Sunday. I called Choice Home Warranty Sunday morning. The customer service girl gave me the appliance company to call. I called the appliance company and they came out Sunday afternoon. I called Choice Home Warranty Monday morning and they informed me the parts have been ordered for my appliance. I appreciate the work done to get my appliance repaired.

The initial Plumbing service company did not return my calls, including a message left on the emergency telephone number. CHW representative reassigned the work order to another company. The technician arrived within the quoted arrival time, he was pleasant and cleared the drains. All is well and thank you CHW...

The reps were very nice and managed to find a tech that I made an appt with for Wednesday December 17 2014 at 8 am. This was my first time having to use my service contact. The process was easy to do. So far the experience was overall very good. This was a must need investment. The monthly payment is very manageable giving that I am a retiree and live on a limited income.

Choice Home Warranty initially chose to have a local pool service company repair our inoperative pool heater. The chosen company was previously our pool service company and their work for us was unsatisfactory and we so advised Choice Warranty. They respected my advice and chose a company in another city approximately 70 miles away. That company would not make service calls that far away. So, Choice Warranty asked me to choose a repair service and I called the company that services our pool heater and they came to the house within 24 hours and effected the repairs. Choice then agreed to reimburse me for the amount of the repair over $45.00, which was great with me. The claim was approved and, as of this writing, the check will be mailed on or about 20 December. While 30 days from the approval date, that's Choice's policy and I will accept that. The great thing about Choice was their decision to permit me to choose the repair company and honor their invoice. Repair person came out and said my dryer vents needed to be cleaned on three separate calls. That is the reason why my dryer was not drying clothes. However they were able to do something to get it to work. On this last call the repairman came out, took my tenants money and said "you need to clean the vents, there is nothing I can do for you." They then said this was part of owner maintenance, so I called a separate company and the gentleman wrote a statement and took pictures and said "your vents are fine, the problem is with your dryer." I called Choice Home Warranty back and sent them statements and pictures and they said "no matter what your technician has found, we are going to take our tech's word for it." So now my tenant is out of 180 dollars for service calls and extra work that was not needed, and I am out of $550.00. I am cancelling my service today. (This is summarized, lot's more)

In reference to my claim in the month of November and December, I have nothing less to say but how remarkable the situation was handle. I had the best response time of the technician and customer service you could ask for. The customer service team was there to make sure my needs was met and the job had been taken care of. To me that made all the difference in the world. Just knowing that someone was really looking out for my concerns and to know that my washer and dryer claims were being adhere to. Customer service and contractor were good. Not so happy that it takes 30 business days to get paid for non fixable items. I have to wait from Nov 17th to Jan 5th to get a new clothes dryer.

My furnace started making strange noises so I called Choice. They assigned an HVAC company in a few hours. King HVAC came out on Friday, the day after I called them, and diagnosed the problem as a bad blower on the fan. They returned the next day, which was a Saturday, and thank goodness they didn't wait till Monday because the furnace stopped working right before they arrived to replace the blower. If they hadn't been so responsive, I would have been without heat the whole weekend and it was cold outside. Thank you King Heating and Air Conditioning and Choice Home Warranty.

I called Home Tech Appliances from Gaston, SC at ** and spoke to Donald. He told me he was in my area and he could be at my home within 30 minutes. He did arrive in 30 minutes. He checked out my range and checked and had the required parts on his truck. He started the repair and had them completed in about 30 minutes. The range now works great. I would highly recommend this repair service and I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

We did not have hot water. We called and a company was assigned quickly. The next day we received an appointment. They came out and were knowledgeable and was able to fix it. It felt so good to have hot water again.

I recently had a leak from under my garbage disposal. Choice sent me a plumber who diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced it for me without a problem. This particular contractor (Triumph Plumbing) has done work at my house before. I was completely satisfied with my service.

I called this company at 8 AM on Tuesday December 9, 2014 and had a claims number within 15 minutes and a technician at my home by 12 noon. The technician that was assigned arrived promptly and had my heater working within one hour of arriving. After having a bad experience from another warranty company, I am looking forward to renewing.
