My fan motor on the AC unit would not shut off. I put in a call to CHW and they sent a technician the next day to resolve the issue. I am totally satisfied.

Soon after purchasing our home warranty, our built-in microwave went out. It was our first time filing a claim so we were unsure how well it would work. We submitted a claim and a local appliance company was assigned to our case. They called and set up an appointment to come fix our microwave. Choice also contacted us to verify that the local company was meeting our needs. Both companies acted professional and were easy to work with. After this experience, we will renew again.

We had a heat issue and our first issue to call in. I opened a ticket online and within an hour received a call to schedule a tech the same afternoon. He was on time and had the tools needed. He got right to work and discovered the issue. He called into Choice to approve the part order which they did and he ordered the same day. As soon as they received the part he came back out and installed it and completed the repair.

I recently had to call Choice Home Warranty as there was a terrible smell coming from my toilet. I was assigned a contractor and he was very good. The contractor was able to come on the same day, was timely and worked quickly. The normal cost of calling a plumber is so expensive that I am thankful that I have Choice Warranty. Thanks for a great experience.

After having this company for about 4 years and have a contractor that they sent out to check and repair our furnace about every year, our claim was denied for a replacement. I feel that we were unjustly denied especially when all the maintenance was done by their contractors. I change filters as often as needed and after calling them several times to find out that we were denied "in the middle of winter" that was very unprofessional.

I had good experience with CHW. Claim processing is fast however servicing is slower and perhaps that is due to technician's availability and nature of work, but the service is always provided which makes one satisfied.

I filed a claim for a leak around the toilet, which started 30 days after my start date. They approved it, sent out a plumber, and then denied coverage, saying it was a pre-existing condition. They offered to pay for 1/3 of my service call, rather than the $45 in my contract. I asked for a refund and they continued to argue with me. I got 30 days of coverage, during which time you can file no claims, and my refund was $96 less than I paid!

This was my first time using this home warranty. The online request was easy to use. The technician was helpful and came in to do the repair in a timely manner. I had another issue once the repair was done and requested a recall out. I was taken care of immediately.

Furnace issue. Came out quickly. Resolved so far.
Thought we may have had an electrical problem in a ceiling light, turned out burned-out bulb. This was an expensive bulb replacement as I had an extra bulb. Charged me a service call.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. THEY WILL find any loop hole to not cover anything. Roof Leaks, Air Conditioner replacement, water heater replacement, flood from water heater, exhaust fan - reasons giving for not covering. Requested money back on this and they refused.

I have made two separate claims to repair my microwave. The second claim was addressed by a customer service employee as was the first. Both times seem to be making forward strides but the second half hopefully got my problem worked out. Today the microwave has yet to be repaired but I have high hopes that it will be within a week. My only concern is that the companies sent out to work on my machine they promises that they do not keep keeping your clients informed. There is very little more important than being kept in touch. To date my machine has been indisposed for a month and a half and as I said, I am certain it will be fixed within the next week. This is why I have given a positive experience. Hopefully, I won't be proven wrong.

I was experiencing electrical issues & called Choice Home Warranty Friday night. They allocated a technician within 2 hours and made sure that they provided somebody who could come over the weekend and fixed the issues. I am really glad I have CHW as it was a very cold weekend and half of my house was without power which really had me worried. I would definitely recommend CHW.

Unfortunately the cost of repairing my microwave exceeded the cost of buying another one. I was told they would send me a check for $160 in 30 days. I cannot purchase one and have it installed for that amount. I thought it would be replaced if it could not be fixed. The customer service rep that called me was very nice.

The call center agent was very helpful and provided me options if I was able to get someone out overnight to correct my heating issue. The service technician who performed the work was friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed the issue fast and without issues.

The problem was reported. A service tech was assigned and arrived in a timely fashion. Service tech was knowledgeable, pleasant, and business like. The unit is functioning but will require further testing when the a/c is in use and the tech scheduled a service call in late April to complete his assessment. Process was smooth beginning to end.

On Monday the repair guy came, did the assessment of what was wrong. He called the insurance, they approved the job that needed to be done and by Tuesday my air conditioner was up and running. Everything was so smooth and painless! I still can`t believe it.

Equipment would not be repaired as claim cost would be too high. Service was prompt and accurate until replacement was changed to only a very low offer. Offer was very low for replacement of dishwasher as it was less than 50% of my cost for replacement. With my annual fee I have to decide whether or not your service is of value. My fault for not reading the coverage down to all of the fine print.

The response to the request for repair was prompt. The staff at the main office were courteous and friendly and knew what needed to be done for this repairs order to be processed. The repair person was also responsive, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about how to determine the problem and was able to correct it the next day after obtaining the part to repair.

Garage door opener quit working. Contacted CHW and a tech was assigned. He was too far away and declined, contacted CHW again with this information and another tech was assigned closer to area. Second tech had issues being set up in system; contacted CHW again and a third tech was assigned that showed up the next day. Garage opener was repaired and is working great.

The man came to fix the leaks, but needed a part. He called the next day to tell me that they had ordered the part and would let me know as soon as it came in, which was the next day and he came right out and fixed the problem. The only things is he charged me a travel fee of $20. I was not ever told that there would be a travel fee along with the $45 for co-pay.

The agitator in my washer stopped working and there were very thin slivers of white plastic in the drum as well as a gritty residue. The repairman who checked the washer explained what happened and indicated he had never seen anything like that before and he had been in the business for many years. The washer was a very popular top of the line washer that was 5 1/2 years old. He called Choice Warranty and explained the problem. To repair the washer would have cost more that replacing the washer; therefore, that same day, Choice approved an amount for me to replace the washer. I am very pleased with Choice Warranty and would recommend them to others.

I called for a work request one week after the purchase of my home policy and the customer service rep was more than helpful and professional. A contractor was assigned the same day and I scheduled a service visit within 48 hrs of the request. The heating tech was very professional and knowledgeable and my heat was up and running in no time. Thank you all for the great service.

Overall the service was completed and done well. The only thing that is in question is that the $45.00 co-pay had a tax added to it which was about $3.00, which is no big deal, but my previous service for my dryer, was not taxed.

The repair technician was excellent. He tried to first repair the unit, but it was burnt out. So he replaced it. He was quick, neat and knowledgeable. I am so glad that Choice sent him. I am happy I went with Choice for my policy.

Choice Home Warranty is a fraudulent group of thieves. The first two calls were handled well. I was pleased to experience something other than the negative reviews I read. Unfortunately, the negative reviews were correct.
The motor for my heat pump went out and broken the manifold where it had been mounted. These clowns send an inexperienced tech (mind you a third person) after saying they would send the tech who had just been here a few days before. The guy shows up and does nothing. No communications. I confront the company about their intentional practice of attempting voiding the policy so they don't have to write any big checks. The inexperienced tech comes back to my home and removes pieces of my heat pump with no authorization from me or my wife. This failure of a company takes two days to get a response and the good news is they will not cover the repair.
This company needs to be shut down. I have a $600 electric bill to pay (compared to $200) because I wasted time thinking this group of fools would do what their policy, website and customer services employs say. Fix it or replace it.
I missed work to go get the pieces of my heat pump from the tech they sent to take them. The office was a half rotten shed in a backyard. I did not get the motor. The one that was returned was not the motor that belongs with my unit but because I was at work and the tech drove off with no permission or communication, I am stuck with parts that do not go to my unit, a unit that does not work and a house to heat with two small children.
All businesses are after profit. No one wants to write big checks. I understand. Don't steal parts, don't fabricate solutions to avoid responsibilities, don't touch things that are not yours and just tell the truth. Mr. Choice Home Warranty - you chose your job. Try doing it well.

The guy came by next day after my first call to claim. The tech said that my ref needs a heat relay and have to order it. Still waiting since 2 days. They were due to come to install today but they called to reschedule tomorrow because the tech forgot his car appointment and they prioritized his appointment over my claim. It is not what I have in mind to honor the best service. It is bit disappointed. However, he may have some reason to take care of his appointment. They promised me that they will take care of it tomorrow between 8 -12 AM. So I am expecting this... All of our food stuffs are crowded in my 2nd refrigerator and freezer and very inconvenienced...

I have been with Choice for a few years now and I can honestly say that they are prompt with taking calls for service and assigning technicians. My most recent experience surprised me, since I called before I went to work, not really expecting to talk with someone that early. When I first called, they said I would have about a 5 minute wait time, so I figured I had time to finish getting ready. Not so! My call was answered in less than a minute and my email letting me know about the technician assigned came not long after. I am happy with my experiences so far and the technicians have been friendly and professional. I also love that the fee has remained the same, especially since the last company I was with increased their fee each year! I hope to renew my plan later this month for the next year.

Had my A/C unit breakdown in September, 2014 110 degrees outside. Choice took 4 days to find a contractor that would still work for them. I had an additional problem with my other A/C unit and because I didn't want to "wait" 4 or 5 days again, so I called the contractor back. He helped us immediately, but would not perform ANY MORE work orders from Choice Home Warranty because they have never been paid for the work Choice authorized.... BEWARE!!

My furnace went out on a Sunday (in Chicago, that's not good!). I contacted Choice Home Warranty immediately and Choice sent an email very shortly thereafter with the contractor's information. I called them first thing in the morning but unfortunately they had no appointments available. I called Choice back and within an hour they assigned a new contractor, who I called and they came out at 8:30 that evening. A part had to be ordered and they were out the next day to repair. My experience started out bad. When I was told that not only was my dishwasher not going to be repaired, the value CHW placed on it wouldn't cover replacement. Friday February 27th, our furnace stopped heating. We called and made a claim and Harlow Services came out the same day and determined the problem. We spoke to the contractor and Choice Home to find out what was going on. Today the contractor came out and fixed the issue.

On February 11th I called Choice Home Warranty because I was having problems with the hot water heater not staying on and I would have to keep hitting the re-set button to start it up again. I also had problems with the garbage disposal not coming on even after hitting the reset button. I called on the evening of the 11th and they had Maritime plumbing at my house by noon the next day. The man was pleasant and professional and had to replace the garbage disposal and both thermostats on the electric hot water heater. He was there for about 2 hours and cleaned up after himself and left.
I have not had any problems since then with either item. If I had not had Choice Home Warranty these two repairs would have cost me over $500.00. I have been with Choice Home Warranty for over 4 years and have had to call them over 6 times and I have been 100% satisfied every time and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. Every time has been a super fast response time and a pleasant experience.

All 1 Plumbing - ** is an excellent plumber who came and fixed my clogged toilets. He was quick and exciting in what he did. It was a pleasure to have him fix everything. The only thing is he had to pay the gate fee to get into my complex. I think Choice should pay it - all companies if they do not have a gate pass pay the fees ($10.00). It was very nice of him to pay it.

Front burners will turn on, but won't shut off. Additionally, when in the on position, only one temperature provided; high. Contractor was able to identify quickly what the problem was and immediately placed the part on order. Contractor was extremely friendly and helpful.

We were a little frustrated at first because the first company assigned to our claim did a diagnosis, but then was no longer in your network. It took several weeks and multiple phone calls to Choice Home Warranty, but you finally assigned someone who knew what he was doing. It turned out that the 1st technician had diagnosed the problem incorrectly and the repairman who actually did the repair had it completed in less than 30 minutes. Thanks for finally sending someone who knew what they were doing.

First warm day needing the AC turned on. Noticed unit was blowing room temperature air (indoor temp was 83 degrees). Filed online claim and had a response back by email within 10 Minutes. Received another email about 20 minutes later with the name and phone number of the repair company. I called St. Pete Heat and Air on Sunday evening and they called me back at 8 AM the following morning. The repairman was here about 9:30 - the outside fan unit needed a new motor. He contacted Choice for authorization, ordered the new motor and installed it this afternoon.
We have had Choice for a couple of years now after having some very bad experiences with some other warranty companies. Choice has been consistently reliable and diligent. Would (and have) recommend this program to anyone. Thank you.

Upon purchasing warranty with CHW, I was told I did not have to have an inspection of any sort performed on my rental property. When I finally filed a claim with CHW, they did not want to honor our claim because they stated we failed to have a "preventative maintenance" check done on a perfectly working heating unit. Our rental home gets inspected between each tenant. You can't possibly predict when a heating or AC unit is going to give out on you especially when it's working fine. I feel like I wasted $470 on a year policy with CHW. It's the first and only claim I have made and already turned down? It was determined that they would be able to cover the repairs, etc. needed because it does fall under what is included in their policy, however at their discretion they can deny it without proof of preventative maintenance and that's exactly what they did to us.
It is not like we were negligent, it's a rental home and as most landlords know, it can be an inconvenience to any tenant. Therefore it is important to always ensure all units and appliances are working properly and that is what we always ensure is done. I think that if it was something minor, CHW wouldn't have a problem covering the claim. But because it happens to be something big and expensive, they will then pull out their "preventative maintenance" card and make us appear as if we were negligent. I am so disappointed with CHW especially after seeing so many good reviews. I was very hopeful that I might have found a company that didn't seem like they were a scam but after further research on the internet, I found other dissatisfied customers. I will not be using CHW once my policy expires and I will not recommend them to any homeowners.

We've submitted several claims since becoming a Choice Home Warranty customer and each claim, from plumbing issues to heating, has been addressed immediately. We really like the fact that we're not paying large amount of money out of pocket for services that would normally cost an "arm and a leg".

Choice Home Warranty assigned the repair to Deano's American Appliance Service. Deano's contacted me promptly upon assignment, arrived on time on the agreed day of service, and handled the entire repair in a courteous and efficient manner. We have not had any issues with the appliance since it was repaired.

JB Services came out on Saturday, checked the oven and ordered the part needed to make the repairs. He said as soon as the part came in, He would install it, probably Wednesday 3/4/15 or Thursday 3/5/15. The Gentleman with JB Services was one of the most professional people I have seen in a long time. Very polite and knew exactly what he was doing. I was very impressed with the service.

I have had the policy for about 6 months and had a few other issues that were taken care of fairly quickly, but my current heater problem they denied the claim. My heat pump stopped working and the service technician said it was due to low Freon. He said the Freon level was low due to a leak in the inside coil. He said choice would probably deny the claim due to the repair being expensive and us not having the policy for a long time. To my surprise, Choice denied the claim, said there was rust on the coil, indicating I had not properly maintained the unit.
I change the filter every 3 months to prevent the coil form getting dirty. Choice not saying the coil is dirty, they are saying it leaks because it is rusted. I do not think coils were made of steal, so I am not sure how they rust? Anyone that has the coverage or is thinking about adding it need to have their AC/ heater unit serviced twice a year, even if it's working fine, otherwise Choice will deny your claim. It's a shame I really liked the idea.

I submitted a request for repairs to CHW. They denied the claim because the tank was leaking. By the way, they do not cover leaking tanks. Their claim it was due to rust or sediment in the tank. I watched the tank being drained and there was zero evidence of either. The tank was leaking through the heating element. Their technician even made the statement we were lucky it did not trip the circuit breaker. After several attempts to get them to pay through the BBB of New Jersey, got tired of fooling with them. This company is disingenuous at best, I believe they are frauds and thieves. They have horrible reviews and grades with the BBB.

Called CHW to file a claim. I was on hold a bit longer than I thought I would be but when I did get a representative on the line they very receptive to my concerns. After just a few minutes of confirming information they processed my claim and contacted a technician to for a service call. Even though it was on the weekend the service technician called to schedule an appointment in the next week. Unfortunately, the computerized control board fried and it was more costly to replace than to buy out the equipment. It took about a week but the final result was a prorated check to replace the oven. Happily, a new product was purchased and I am very happy with the outcome.

I was having problems with my dishwasher and used the site to have someone sent out. Choice responded quickly with info of a local repair company to come out. After more than two weeks of calls to the repair company and little response I called Choice and they gave me a second company to call. The second company's communication was much better and they are setting up to repair once the parts come in.

I am a call center Supervisor myself and I have been very impressed with CHW service and customer focus. I was a bit surprised at the level of fairness and follow through, given the low price for the coverage.
Long story short, my dishwasher broke and caused my breaker to trip. The dishwasher repair company had to come out on more than one occasion and eventually it worked out that repair cost more than the unit. Originally the repair company told CHW that the issue was secondary to installation so CHW was not going to cover due to improper installation. While I understood that thought, the unit had functioned perfectly for nearly 20 years. I couldn't imagine how now suddenly installation was the issue. The CHW representative thoughtfully listened to what I said and had her manager review the claim. CHW ended up paying me money out for the unit. I didn't expect that at all, but was extremely relieved! I also should mention that in the process the repair company did not contact me in a timely manner to reschedule their visit. A CHW supervisor contacted me concerned and to discuss the claim further. I had a technician out that next day.
We bought this warranty as we are selling our home and wanted to offer it for the new homeowner. We will now use CHW for our new home purchase!

I recently begin having problems with my garbage disposal. I called Choice Warranty to place a claim and within minutes I received a call from the plumbing company asking when would be the best time for them to look at the disposal. I signed up for choice home warranty because they were having a promotion and I was told that the promotion was only for a limited time, but I had 30 days to change my mind and cancel with no questions asked. In the meantime, I shopped around and found a policy that I think better suited my needs given the age of my home. I also reviewed their contract and noted that there were many exclusions that other policies did cover. I called to cancel and I was on hold for 10 minutes. Then when someone finally did get on the phone, they snapped, "What makes you want to cancel our policy?” I told them that I wasn't interested. They laughed and very patronizingly said "You don't know what you're doing. We’ll see you back in a month." I told them to cancel it, and they laughed again and told me "We canceled your policy. But you'll be back."
They did have the lowest rates out there when you factor in the service call fee, but if you look carefully at their contract, there are too many exclusions! I have also heard other people canceling their policies because they said that they had put in claims that weren't covered because of exclusions (e.g. failure of their water heater, but not covered because of sediment, i.e. lack of maintenance). But now with their extremely rude customer service, I will NEVER ever consider them again. I will not recommend them to our neighborhood association who regularly asks for feedback on home warranty companies.

My washer was malfunctioning and I filed a claim with Choice. They immediately transferred my case to the technician company who came to my place in a couple of days and diagnosed the problem. Choice, thereafter, felt that the issue could not resolved by merely repairing the washer since it was a old unit. Call them out to fix my refrigerator. Their technician said it was the motherboard and I found it not to be covered under the warranty. I was in the process to buy a new refrigerator and had a second opinion and found out that it was not what their technician said it was, something different and fixable. I fix the issue and they reimburse me and I'm still waiting on a check. Not long after that I had an issue with my dishwasher and gave them a call. When their tech came out he said that "the dishwasher is too old and the filter was dirty". I feel that I wasted money that I could never get back over false speaking that things in my house will be covered. I will never deal with a company like this again.

I have an older house with a spa room in the house. The equipment has been updated but it's very complicated compared to most pool filter systems with multiple pumps and bubblers. On Sunday afternoon, I called Choice Home Warranty to report a water leak under my kitchen sink that has been a problem for a few months now. When I spoke with the representative, she was professional, listened to the issue I was having and provided me with the contact information of the company assigned to coming out to my home and making the repair.
On Monday morning, I called the company and they told me they would try and get someone out to my home Monday afternoon, but at the latest it would be Tuesday EOD. On Monday around 3pm, the technician arrived and within 15 minutes, he made the diagnosis that I needed a new garbage disposal (the reason the leak was happening under my sink). He had the replacement part in his truck and made the repair. In total, he was probably at my home less than 45 minutes. What would have cost me well over $200 only cost me a deductible of $45! Exceptional service across the board - from Choice to the repair company. Love it!

I had initially come to Choice Warranty from a much pricier competing home warranty company. I was nervous that perhaps Choice Warranty was too good to be true and that when I'd need to actually file a claim, there would be some sort of arcane reason in the fine print and I'd end up being stuck paying out of pocket the full price of the repair.
It turns out my worries were unfounded. It only took a week of holding the contract and I had my first claim. There was a plumbing stoppage. The technician sent over from Choice was able to snake out the plumbing stoppage and quickly fix the issue. He even took a quick look at one of my other toilets (at no charge) and made a quick adjustment to improve the water level in the tank. The only reason I didn't give the full 5 stars, was because of a bit of confusion with the plumbing company not receiving the work order, so the problem get fixed a day later than it probably could have been fixed. But overall, I'm quite happy with the service I received.

I was notified at 10:30 that there was no heat in in the house, I called CHW and requested service. At 12:31, got a message from CHW that a technician had been dispatched to the address. Dispatched! WHAT! I contacted the Provider and he answered and told me he was changing his schedule and would be at the site within the next hour. WHAT! I asked him to call me if he had any problems and with results. He called me to let me know he was there and about 10 minutes later, he called to let me know the was working and he was done. He explained what the problems was and how to correct it. I thanked him and let him know I would let CHW know the quality of service he had provided. Temperatures in our area were at 11 - 23 and not going up. The quick response by CHW and the contractor was excellent.

Please keep in mind this is my 1st time having a home warranty program. I have nothing to base my experience on so I'm giving it 4 stars (happy). I bought a 1956 small ranch style home about 9 months. Took out a warranty since it came with older appliances. My counter top cook stove left burners quit working. Called to have it repaired.
Here is the only downside to this system. I live in such an isolated area I had to call around for a repair man since Choice Home Warranty only had Sears in a city several miles away. Sears refused to work with me on my work schedule. So besides that I found the repair man. He came out and assessed the repair. Called for parts and found out that they no longer make or have the parts to my stove. Called Choice Home Warranty and they talked to repairman. Then assessed to give me $245 towards a new stove cooktop. I am happy to have warranty for it would have cost me more. I look forward to seeing how they will help in the future.

A very competent plumber came promptly the next day, but was unable to determine the source of the water. He explained that if the water appeared again he would return following up with no additional charges. Today the water returned, but I was able to determine that it was from the condensate pump that was attempting to carry the overflow from the humidifier to the outside but was blocked by ICE. (No drain in the basement.) So I turned off the humidifier and the condensate pump and mopped up the basement. Very prompt response from CHOICE.

Recently I had some minor electrical problem at my rental unit, which was fixed promptly. I have told all my friends and family about Choice Home Warranty. Their service is being on hold and not responding to claims. They bend over backwards to deny all claims and this is also a quote from their contractors as well. You get what you pay for and they offer free months so they can get you on but don't expect service or professionalism from them or their contractors. Their contractors told me they personally have American Home Shield and they would never have Choice because they do everything to deny claims. I change two of my personal residences to Choice and it was the biggest mistake I made. I wouldn't give them even one star. Be careful because they have aggressive sales people who will do everything sign you up but will definitely not be there if you need them.

Our washer broke. A man looked at it. I had to call Choice Home Warranty three times before they could tell me when the washer could be fixed or replaced. During the third phone conversation, I was told that I will get a $300 check in the mail in 30 DAYS! Keep in mind my washer costs $750. My aunt's home warranty covers 100% cost on replaced appliances. I'm canceling after I get my check and taking my business to a place that will help me in a time of need that I am paying for! Choice Home Warranty is a joke. DON'T USE THEM! BEWARE! I was also told that if your air conditioner or heater needs to be replaced they will only pay max $1500.

On December 7th, 2014 customer service representative for Choice Home Warranty notified us that repairs for our 2 1/2 year old Maytag dishwasher exceeded its value. Informed that they would send a check (within a month!!!) for only $190 towards the purchase of a new dishwasher. Told them "that was not reasonable". In accordance with the agreement booklet, I mailed a letter on Jan 6th asking for mediation. Subsequently I have called 2 times asking what the resolution will be. Both times I was told someone would call me back. It has been 6 weeks and no one has addressed my request for mediation. The new dishwasher was not a high-end model. I chose a Maytag at Home Depot. It cost $548 plus $99 for delivery and installation and $20 for an installation kit. We have scanned a copy of the receipt for the new dishwasher and our letter to CHW. I do not feel that we have been treated fairly. Thank you for your assistance.

We filed a claim approximately 30 days ago for a refrigerator at our rental. They dispatched Sears and the charged $45.00 and said the frig was fixed. On 02/11/2015 I called because the frig quit working again, it took till Tuesday 02/17/2015 to send someone out and again charged my card an additional $45.00. The tech reported back that the frig was not repairable. CHW called and reported this to me and let me know that because it was leak it was not covered because it was not mechanical. I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking for prompt service.

I was very please with the experience I had with Choice Warranty. I called them on a Sunday to get help with my heating unit that had stopped working in the middle of the night. They sent me the information that I needed to get my unit service. The people they chose were very friendly and was at my home at the scheduled time.

Your staff who handles the claims were very professional and timely as far as submitting the claim. But the technician who was to do the work I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. He kept giving excuses why he couldn't show up. Finally when he did show up he had nothing to work with, asked for the $45.00 and left. Never called back or came back.

We have a 9-10 year old pool/spa heater. After several repairs, technicians claiming to have cleaned out unit each time, spanning over the last 3 months, the unit finally became more expensive to repair than it would be to just replace it. Choice Home Warranty said they needed it to be notated on repairs that the technician did clean the unit out. Once that documentation was provided, they then claimed that because there did appear to have dust inside the unit, the unit obviously being an outdoor unit, that in their opinion the unit was not maintained, thus they would not cover the unit. I asked the technician if there was anything I could have done to have maintained the unit any better and was told there was absolutely nothing I could have done to have kept the unit from going out. Since Choice obviously does not cover what they say they will cover, it was unnecessary and too costly to continue to use their services and I canceled my policy.

The technician that was assigned to me, for my home, was very prompt on arrival. He thoroughly explained what seemed to be the problem. To make sure though, that the problem would not continue, he used heavy duty equipment (augur) to search from one end of the home to the other which was at the front street level. This machine weeded out all debris, dirt and grime found in the line. Most was from a previous owner of the home, before 2012. Very long hair, that I do not have was found to be clogging up my kitchen sinks and also the guest bathroom tub. Before the equipment was run the entire length, I had no idea that the guest bathroom tub would later be affected. I am living alone and only run water down the tubs not in used weekly. Extremely happy with the contractors available to them. They made my hard work of bailing water GO AWAY.

Very pleased with the prompt and polite manner in which my claim was handled. This helps take a lot of the stress out having a repair problem and the inconvenience and expense associated with it.

My washer quit spinning. Placed an order for repair to Choice by email and had a repair company assigned in less than one hour. The repair person came and assessed that the repair would cost more than the replacement of machine. Choice Warranty representative called and explained the situation and offered me a check to replace washer. The money was very fair and so I accepted the offer. I have three properties covered with a Choice Warranty and every claim has been handled in an expedient and professional manner. I will renew coverage when this contract is completed. Thank you.

Had a shower head that was leaking on sheet rock and wall, and thought maybe the plumbing was leaking in the wall. The plumber came out and checked it out and found that only the shower head needed to be replaced, which was not covered by our warranty. Still he only charged us the warranty call out, which I thought was more than fair.

Sears home services came and repaired my washer and it worked for a week and then I had to recall them to fix it again. It is still working now, they replaced the same part as the first time they fixed it. I hope Sears will have better trained technicians the next time we call to have something fixed.

Garage door would not open. Good response from Customer Service who entered the claim. I had a "confirmation" e-mail within minutes and a call from the Contractor approximately an hour later. The Contractor arrived on the agreed time, identified the problem and cleared required action with Choice. The work was completed during the same visit. Choice actually approved fixing of an item not covered in the policy. Great service Choice!!!

In reporting my claim, I was able to reach a live representative who was courteous and responsive. I was told what local service provider would perform the work and received follow-up calls to ensure an appointment had been set. Very satisfied with the experience.

Once we got the repair date straightened out the service was excellent. Jesse, the owner of Elite, was our service man. He was friendly and efficient. I would want him back in a heartbeat. I have been with other warranty companies and yours is by FAR the best. I recommend you to everyone.

Choice Home Warranty has been professional and attentive to the few claims made. Their staff listens well to understand the claim being made, clearly provides the necessary information needed regarding the claim, and follows up to confirm claim is completed and you're satisfied. I'm suggesting the subcontractors CHW use to service the claim, need to more responsive regarding acknowledging the claim. When they arrived they did handle the repair professionally.

The technician advised that water was frozen in delivery tube and removed ice maker. Leaking water in the freezer which in turn caused ice to form on lower shelf. Took down model number of refrigerator and checking with you to order a new one.

It was nice to see you for the company to come out again for the same thing and not have issue in repairing my dryer and it was less than 30 days from the time They came out the first time. So I didn't have to pay another fee. It's nice to have a good to stand by you in your time of need.

My dryer needed a new motor. JB Services were professional and very friendly. I was told it would be 3 to 5 business days. Mr. ** arrived two days later (on a Saturday). I would not only recommend Choice, but also JB Services. Thank you for a job well done.

I called in and given a claim number. The technician assigned called and scheduled an appointment. I was provided a courtesy call and met technician at my home. Repairs were done quickly and efficiently. Technician provided me a receipt and was out in 30 minutes!
