Made the claim. They responded right away with an assigned plumbing company. The plumbing company called me a few minutes later and set up an appointment. Very happy with the superfast service.

I called in and given a claim number. The technician assigned called and scheduled an appointment. I was provided a courtesy call and met technician at my home. Repairs were done quickly and efficiently. Technician provided me a receipt and was out in 30 minutes!

We had a heater break down in February. Technician states it is a blower. For 3 days, Choice Warranty says it still needs information from the technician, technician says he has given them everything, and now they want to replace only the module they THINK might be responsible for the blower not working. The kicker is they want to order it online and it will take who knows how long to get here. Even if they order it overnight, I am facing ANOTHER weekend with no heat in February with a toddler sick with pneumonia. To top that off, the technician says even when he replaces the module, the blower might not work and here we go again. At least 5 different people, including 2 supervisors have promised return calls that never came. There is a module with a blower right here in town the technician could have installed this week and my kids would have heat this weekend.

The washing machine was making an awful noise when the wash cycle started. The service repair man was at the job site the same evening of the call. As I wasn't expecting him until the next day, it was a pleasant surprise. He (service repair man) was polite and knowledgeable and fixed the washing machine expeditiously. I sincerely appreciate the great service.

My dryer decided it would run as long as it wanted to often leaving me with scorching hot clothes and a full lint screen which I knew could possibly cause a fire. As a new member of Choice I was reluctant to call but I did and the service I receive was wonderful. They were one step ahead of me throughout the required service. I hope not to have many repairs but if so I hope all of my experiences are wonderful!

Our 8 year old Samsung over the past week or so was getting warmer and warmer, not a good thing in a refrigerator. Finally decided it was time to call in an expert. Called Choice Home Warranty, got a call back from Home Workx USA in a very short period of time setting up an appointment. Tech showed up on time, took about 1 minute to diagnose the problem, ordered the part and he was on his way after filling out the paperwork in about 10 minutes total. Part should be here in a couple of days and the tech said it would only take about a half hour to 45 minutes to install. He could not have been nicer and very professional. The service fee was also very reasonable. I highly recommend these folks.

The pricing and service options have impacted my opinion very favorably with Choice. I was able to make a one time payment for services and a great discount. When I called for service I received the repair in a timely and professional matter. An email follow up confirmed an appointment, the tech took care of the repairs in less than an hour, that simple.

Very good service. Within an hour a tech was assigned to the claim. Within 24 hrs. the matter was diagnosed and we are waiting for the needed part to complete the repair. Tech assigned very professional. Good quick service. What more can I say.

I called in month ago to sign up to the service, and they said "your service will start in a month from now..." I have sink clogged so i called them today to see if my service start or not to claim that... The lady said "today is first day for your service." I told her about my sink. She said "sorry we don’t accept claims in first day." Asked why, she said home should be perfect in first day. Asked that no one told me about this policy, "yes sir we apologize but still we can't do service for you," so asked her to cancel my policy. She directed me to gentleman who told me that people wait till first day of service to claim...
I told him "all mine is sink clogged and since you don’t to service while my service is active and I already waited month before my service to be active, I need to cancel and give me all my money back." He said "won’t give you all your money, there is administration fee." NO one told me about that. Salesman in the first that if you cancelled any time you take your money back. He said, "no sir there is fees." I think you steal money from me then... he said "you try to scam me" and yelled in me and hanged up…

Tenant said dishwasher did not have water coming in. I went to check and confirmed. Called Choice and they wanted to send out tech right away but tenant had to postpone. When Tech came, they quickly identified that the dishwasher did not actually have a problem. It was operational procedure. Solved a headache for me. Thanks for the quick service.

My garbage disposal sprung a leak and shot water across the kitchen. I called CHW, spoke to Marquis at about 1:45 pm, and by 4:15 pm that same day the technician arrived, assessed the situation and installed a new garbage disposal. Both customer service and the technician contributed to an excellent experience.

This is the 3rd time that we've had a problem with our dryer not heating. I spoke with Darren from Complete Home Solutions about an appt. He made an appt. for Wed. but on his way from his home to another appt. he stopped by to check our dryer. He said the problem was the timer and will order the part. We only have to wait a couple of days. Darren was very efficient and polite.

I called in @ 7:00 am because my furnace was not producing any heat. I was assigned a claim # and waited for a repair firm to call. Dan from D&S called a few hrs later. Dan said he would be out in 1/2 hr. He was clean and identified himself, made repair quickly. The entire experience was better than I could have expected. Thank you so much!!

The service technician came out to our home about two hours after I called. He spent a number of hours fixing the lack of suction in the pool filter. When he left, the filter worked fine and the pool area was clean.

Very disappointed with this company. Have been paying them for a year now and only tried to use the warranty twice. The first time it took them two days to find a company to come out and look at my dishwasher. The companies that they manage to find consist of employees that look rough and don't seem to know what they are doing. The second time I tried to use my "warranty," they refused the repair of my refrigerator saying that a leak is not covered under their policy of wear and tear. What is the point of having a warranty?
Again, the employees did not seem to know what they were doing, were unkempt, and left black hand prints all over my counter and refrigerator. So, I paid the service fee for nothing. I am going to make sure every person I know keeps away from this company, including current warranty holders that I know that signed up with them because of me.

The company, Masters Plumbing and Septic, called Monday after I filed the claim on Sunday. Impressed with their quick response. Rocky checked all three toilets and concluded that all three had one common problem... the wrong type of rubber plug. One toilet had a broken flush handle (he ordered new one), one was flushing too much water due to a wrong setting. One toilet had to be shut off totally to stop the leakage of water. The water level was wrong in all three toilets. He will return to finish the repairs soon he says.

The service experience was not at all what was sold to us. The policy sold to us has more exclusions that were never explained. Feels like this was a real bait and switch tactic on us and we purchased a 5 year policy! Seriously considering our next action steps. Advice to others: ask questions regarding coverage and get it in writing. The hard sell pressure tactics have left us with a service warranty that has very questionable value. Shop around for home warranties, ex. told hot water heater was covered, never told about exclusions. Called for service to find out nothing is basically covered and paid $45 service fee to find that out. Was never told there is a monetary cap on services. In the end, the warranty is only good for small repairs.

First issue they said they will replace your appliances if could not fix but if your stove is a couple years old they give you the value that it may be worth today. If paid $400 you may get $175. Deceptive. Second problem if contract word something wrong or house had defect when was built they will not cover the problem which you have no control over issue. Deceptive. But you pay $370 @ service fee $45 dollar and we get nothing but games like this. I am very angry.

Choice did what they promise. I needed a repair on my dishwasher and submitted my request for a repair. I received a confirmation email with the name and number for GPA, my service provider. They contacted and set an appointment with a 2 hour window, and showed up as promised. Very polite and professional, assessed the problem and set a time to return the next day with the parts, again, with a 2 hour window. They contacted me about halfway into their window and said they would be about 30 minutes late, apologized and offered to come or reschedule. I said no problem and they came, as promised and repaired the dishwasher. They cleaned up after themselves, worked quickly and again were very polite. I bought a 5 year policy, this was my first claim, so far so good.

Everything went well with the whole process of the service visit - The technician was prompt and decided what to do about the microwave. Sherry was very professional and personable. It was determined that it was too expensive to repair the microwave so the microwave will be replaced. I was never notified of the results; I ended up calling to find out the final decision about the microwave. I was told a check for $170 would be sent to cover the microwave.
After a couple of weeks, I called to find out if the check had been sent. The rep told me it could take up to 30 days to receive the check... 30 days? I'm supposed to do without the microwave for 30 days!!!??? I let the rep know that I had been pricing microwaves and $170 would not cover the current prices of microwaves. He said, according to the policy, your company will reward with replacement money below current prices.
This warranty states it will replace the microwave and I feel you should give enough money to actually replace the un-repairable item! Most of the microwaves I saw that were worth anything were running for about $199 and up. I don't need a fancy microwave but at least pay me for what's available! And making me wait for 30 days??? Other than these issues, I was happy with the rest of the process.

Within 48 hours of calling a service call, my house heater was back in service. Empire Mechanical LLC troubleshot and replaced a faulty ignitor for my heater in 8 hours. Thanks to Mike ** for hard work and sending me a receipt the next day as I requested. Excellent customer service.

There is MUCH "fine print" included in the requirements. For example, when selling the product they claim that plumbing is covered, yet if there is any issue outside the walls of the home then it is NOT covered. A subsequent claim required that I produce a receipt for the previous non-covered plumbing issue. It was months later and I did not have the receipt so they would not cover the new problem with the washing machine.
Then, there was an issue with a dishwasher that was leaking. The gasket around the door was causing the problem. The salespeople tell you that the dishwasher is covered, but no one (except the fine print) will tell you that if the problem is from a gasket it is not covered. I had Choice Home Warranty on three different properties. I actually ordered them by mistake. I was very sorry for that mistake. I canceled all three accounts and went back to the other warranty company. I would say "you get what you pay for", but actually I paid something and got nothing. I recommend against this company.

This company is a scam and do not intend to honor your claim. I have been trying to get a claim honor since April 2014. I asked that my account not be renewed because I was paying premium for nothing. Now am told that my claim also is terminated because I do not renew my contract even though the claim is still pending during the year I paid premium for.

I was totally satisfied with the way C/W handled my problem. I was given a contract # and the name of the company that would be calling me with an appointment within 24 hours. That didn't happen.So I called them twice, still could not get an appointment. I called C/W with my problem, the rep made a call and the repairman showed up that day. Thank you Choice Warranty. I've used Choice twice so far. Once for a garbage disposal and once for a spring for a garage door. The disposal was replaced faster than it took to get confirmation to fix it. The spring was not covered, which I find disturbing, because it is connected to the opener. Without the spring the opener can't open.

I was so pleased when I called Choice Home Warranty for my plumbing problem. The toilet was not flushing properly. They were professional and handled my claim immediately. The plumber came the next day and fixed the problem. I would recommend Choice to all my friends who are home owners and fear something breaking and not have the money to get the repairs done.

Tech came out same day as claim was filed. First repair did not last. He came back next day and was able to determine the actual problem. Had to get parts but was back next day. So far, water heater appears to be working ok. Very pleased with service and technician.

I claim Garbage Disposal: Leaking Water on February 02 and get the service within 48 hours. The plumber replaced the device quickly and carefully check all the pipe to make sure everything is OK. Very impressively. I like the excellent service.

I really appreciated the prompt response from CHW! I got my email with the number of my servicer almost immediately! When I called and didn't get a call back the next day from the servicer, a CHW employee called and directly connected me to the servicer!! It was Tuesday afternoon when a horrible noise started to come from behind the laundry room doors. It sounded like someone was dragging a stick against a picket fence. We soon realized that the noise was coming from our washing machine, which was in the spin cycle. We called CHW and were assigned a claim number immediately. A technician called us within an hour and made arrangements to come look at the machine the following day. Once he arrived and determined that the machine would have to be taken into their repair facility, he called CHW and received authorization to remove the washer. Within 24 hours, he called back and arranged a time to return the washer. The technician was right on time and within 15 minutes of his arrival, the washer was back in service, operating perfectly. Thanks CHW, for service beyond expectations.

I called Choice Home Warranty on Wednesday morning to report that our 5+ year old Whirlpool dryer was taking FOREVER to dry the clothes. The technician they dispatched - Chris from Gimino's Appliance Repair - was here by 1:00 p.m. (he would have come earlier but we were on our way out). He opened the dryer completely up, cleaned it out, greased the roller bearings, cleaned out the lint exhaust pipe, and determined that the heating element and the thermistor fuse were both shot. He put the entire unit back together and said he had to order parts, and that he would call when they came in.
He called on Friday (two days later) and I asked him if he could come out on Saturday morning. "No problem." He just left, the dryer is heating VERY well, and he left the work area cleaner than when he arrived. All-in-all, I am 100% pleased with the job, plus Chris is a very nice guy to deal with. Because this was our first service call under our year-old warranty, we got the first call completely FREE! Now, THAT is what I call EXCELLENT service. I am SO glad we bought the 5-year service package on all of our appliances. I can't tell you what great peace of mind that gives me, knowing all of our repairs are covered for the next 4 years. If we are still here when renewal time comes around, be assured I will buy another 5 year policy!

My heat did not come on. I submitted a claim online Thursday. CHW assigned a claim number and contractor the same day. I called the contractor that day and they came out the very next morning. The contractor discovered the problem and my heat was working again within four hours of them arriving. I was greatly relieved and appreciative. I would and have recommended CHW.

Choice Home Warranty services was timely and efficient. In less than ten minutes they had located and secured a technician to repair my dryer. I called the technician and scheduled him for that evening. He came and discovered that I had a shortage in my door beside a broken belt. We called Choice back and they approved the repairs without a qualm. I paid my low service fee and I had a working dryer again. Thanks to Choice for their care and concern.

I placed an order for repair on my hot water heater around 4:00 pm and was contacted by a local repair agent within thirty to forty minutes. The plumber was at my house by 6:00pm and did the job in a timely and efficient manner. And he was most pleasant. So far I've had two claims and both were not covered. They seem to always find a loophole to get out of paying. One was a water heater that I had to pay $2000 to replace because it had sediment in it. That disqualifies it. And now the electricity is out in part of my house and they don't cover tracing the wires to find the problem.

Choice Home Warranty through no fault at their own had to send a second repair person to my house. The first vendor was worse than horrible (Diamond Appliance Repair - IF YOU GET THIS VENDOR CALL THEM BACK TO ASK FOR A DIFFERENT ONE). The second vendor was phenomenal, he actually fixed the dishwasher and after three days of use no leaks. VP Appliance Repair was great to work with and explained everything to you. Great workmanship and the most amazing thing is that he put the dishwasher back in place that the first repair guy did not. VP Appliance repair found another source of leak and remedied the situation. Choice Home Warranty stepped up to the plate and got the equipment running again.
They have always been a good company to deal with and have had great experiences with their service repair vendor (EXCEPT DIAMOND APPLIANCE REPAIR - WORST VENDOR I HAVE DEALT WITH). Choice Home Warranty were wonderful and listened and will try to rectify and fix your problem quickly and efficiently. They cannot be held accountable for the poor quality of workmanship by their vendor. I have been really happy with them.

I called and provided customer service rep the info and problem pertaining to my appliance (stove). They scheduled an appointment, and I waited for service tech to contact me. My home warranty with Choice is for a rental property I own. The communication between Choice and I (the landlord) has been excellent. Communication between my renter and the contractor has been rather slow but primarily due to scheduling issues of my renter. They have come on Tuesday and diagnosed the problem to be a broke heating element of the oven. The part has been ordered but not yet installed. Promised to have it done no later than Saturday the same week.

Placed a claim for my furnace. A technician came out, reported the claim, said that the unit was old, sent pictures. They told me the technician said the system was not maintained denying my claim. I cancelled my service. I was told by the company they never pay claims over $100.

After trying all I could do, I called my Choice Home Warranty to get help with fixing my garage door opener. My garage door would not go down unless I held the wall button all the way down. Once I placed the call on Monday, Wednesday morning my garage door opener and motor were replaced and everything is working great. Canes Repair service (Bobby) did an excellent job. I'm very pleased with the entire process. Thank you all very much.

I was happy with the service. Every appointment and service was easy to schedule. The timeline could have been better as in I could not get the appointment as soon as I wished, but both appointments were scheduled within a week's time frame. It was easy to get to Choice Home customer service personnel by phone during the day.

I called Choice Home Warranty to report an inoperable garbage disposal, and the individual that assisted me was very helpful and courteous. She immediately created a claim and informed me that a company would contact me within the hour to set up an appointment to fix my issue. The company contacted me 15 minutes later and set up an appointment for later that day. The technician that arrived had my disposal running in less than 30 minutes. I was very satisfied with the Choice Home Warranty assistant as well as the technician that fixed my disposal.

Our garage door opener suddenly stopped working on 2/3/2015 morning. Called Choice Home warranty at around 10:30 AM. They assigned a technician within 15 mins. Called the technician and he came to the house around 1:30 PM. The garage door opener needed to be replaced. He replaced the same and our garage door opener was functional again by 2:15 PM.

It’s been 5 months I bought this home warranty and for the first time I called them as my water heater was not working. They sent in technician from Fahrenheit Plumbing and the guy came and said that the issue happened because of leak in water tank and water tank is not covered. I was not satisfied so I called another technician and he came and told that water heater was burnt out and tank has nothing to do with it. Choice Home Warranty guy was charging me $897 to replace the water heater and my guy did the same job and put the same company water heater for $650. Now I gave them in written that it was water heater which was bad and they are making me run in circles.

We were having a problem with our furnace not working properly. It would begin running, stop, then begin again. There also was an odor of something burning throughout the house. Since we were expecting a horific snow storm, we decided to have the problem addressed. It was late Friday when I called Choice Home Warranty to submit a claim. I couldn't believe it when I received a call early the next morning and the service technician was at our house within the hour. Needless to say, we couldn't have been more pleased. The storm came as predicted but thankfully our worries of having no heat had ended. Thank you Choice Home Warranty for your immediate attention addressing our heating problem. I intend to sing your praises to everyone I know.

Choice Home Warranty have been great. It just has been the heating companies associated with them that have been very poor. It has been three times now that we have tried to get a company out to take care of our heating issue. All three times with appointments no-call, no-show. Multiply calls to the heating company with no answer to when they will show up. I hope this feedback helps b/c I going to call Choice Home Warranty again for the same thing.

I filed a claim online on a Sunday night. The next morning I received a local contractor number. They were out the next day, determined that the disposal could not be repaired and it was replaced without question. Serviceman was polite and responsible. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Purchased this insurance when we bought our condo. Didn't use it, forgot all about it. The fridge quit working & I started calling repairmen. The soonest somebody could come was 3 days later. Remembered we had Choice Home Warranty, gave them a call & was hooked up with A & L Services. In less than 3 hours my refrigerator was fixed. I'll tell everyone I know to get this Insurance.

I am a new customer to Choice Home Warranty and had a doubt since it was not recommended by any local realtors. However, my first service claim washed all my doubts away. The call center was very helpful and the contractor was extremely knowledgeable about the heating system that he came out to fix. Since I had an old heating unit, he had to order a part (double shaft motor) at around 7pm. Surprisingly, the part and the contractor came back out at 1:45pm next to fix my broken heating system. I couldn't ask for more.

My problem is I have had same call on a Lennox Model 80MGF-3-75 Series. It tries to fire up but then goes out. Choice contractors have replaced several parts in attempt to solve problem, with no luck .This is getting old and frustrating. I think they should have a Lennox serviceman repair it or replace it like they guarantee. This is a rental house with little babies in there. The last tenants moved because furnace did not work and almost started a fire with space heaters. I am afraid of getting sued by new tenants if babe get sick of cold die or burn up in fire. So question is, will Choice really replace a item appliance if it cant be fixed? Well that remains to be seen. Does someone have to die or a house fire happens before they will? I guess time will tell??? Who knows???

Our furnace pilot light went out twice in late December. I was concerned because I didn't know what caused it, and alarmed because cold weather was coming. After submitting the claim to CHW, I was given the phone number for Manny's Appliance Service. I called and spoke to a very pleasant technician named James on 12/30/14. James came out that afternoon to take a look at our furnace. He came back about a week later to replace a part, which was questionable, and our furnace has been working flawlessly ever since! Thanks for the great service, James! You are a knowledgeable and conscientious professional, whom we deeply appreciate.

I woke up 1/25/2015 with no heat. I called Choice and they were very helpful and friendly. I was able to get a HVAC guy Paul ** out on a Sunday. Paul had to order a part so we had heat the very next day. I would recommend Choice to anyone. Very satisfied customer!

I have filed 3 claims thus far with CHW. The first was my A/C. It was denied because it was normal wear and tear and I didn't "maintain" it properly. The second claim for my hot water heater was covered because it was the controller however the unit was 10 years old and we ended doing a cash out (which I am still waiting on) because they weren't going to replace the hot water heater even though it was time and is in my attic. My third claim was for my pool heater...they just informed me that the heater is covered but not the control panel on the heater because it is electrically?????
They say the same thing... "It's in your contract..." but when you buy the plan the sales team tells you everything is covered. There is always an excuse to not cover the claim. The service fee is cheap $45 but I would rather pay more for the service fee and actually have my claim covered!!! Looking for a new warranty company because I am not pleased with CHW AT ALL!

About a week after having a garbage disposal repair the dishwasher was not emptying. Making a second claim sent a different repair shop who did not show up as arranged. A call to Choice Home Warranty resolved the issue with another company being sent the next day. The problem turned out to be the fault of the company that Choice Home Warranty had sent the week before for the dishwasher repair. I can't fault the warranty company and another call resulted in them crediting my deductible. I can't ask for more than that.

This is my first experience with a home warranty company, so I really didn't expect much. Our washer started leaking and then stopped spinning so I called Choice. Choice was professional and helpful during the call, then followed up with an email. Their provider called the next morning to schedule service. When the technician realized that the fix would be expensive, he got on the phone with Choice, then told me that Choice would call with an offer to "buy out" my washer. I received both a call and an email within an hour, accepted their offer and am now waiting for the check to arrive. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars: a) haven't received the money. b) service provider called on Friday and couldn't get to me until the following Wednesday.

My heat pump went out on a Sunday night. I submitted a service request online and was given a contractor's contact information the next morning. Good response. The contractor came that afternoon and submitted the following - "found a broken line on the TXV and checked and found the compressor has open windings from no Freon. The contactor is pitted and the capacitors are leaking." This was submitted to Choice. Their response was that since the valve failed and all subsequent damage was "due to the valve failure," none of the repairs would be covered since the valve is not covered.
I spoke with their rep 3 times as did the contractor explaining that the valve was not bad but that the broken line caused the issue and that the contactor pitting and capacitor failure had nothing to do with this. They simply repeated that the valve isn't covered and therefore nothing is covered. The contractor and I were very frustrated. Since the weather was so cold and I had gone without the heat pump for several days, using my fireplace to stay warm, I chose to have a new unit installed. The estimated repair cost was $1900 but the contractor was good enough to contact the unit manufacturer and get the compressor replaced under warranty which brought the repairs down to $1000.
After calling Choice everyday for 8 days, leaving messages, I finally talked with the rep who sold me the warranty. He passed me to his manager who said all he could do was refund a prorated contract cost amount. I received 71% of the contract cost and zero satisfaction. Their warranty was worthless and their reps were like speaking with robots.

Because it was a refrigeration problem they allowed me to make a service appt. with another company of my choice and worked well with the technician to complete the work and pay the claim. I didn't think that I would be able to get my heat fixed on the same day that I made the appointment much less on Christmas Eve, but the technician came within 40 minutes of me calling him. It took him only a few minutes to diagnose the problem, and he had it repaired in about an hour and a half. Highly recommend!

We filed a claim to repair our older washing machine. Even though we had just experienced a disabling blizzard, CHW was able to get a repairman to our home to diagnose the problem with our appliance. The dishwasher was not working properly. Called for service. Got the response right away. Was contacted by the technician in less than 24 hrs to set up an appt. He came, assessed the damage and told me that more than likely it wouldn't be worthy to do the repair and will probably get some money towards the purchase of a new unit depending upon review and approval from CHW. That was the case and two days later I received a call from the company to let me know I would get a check in 30 days towards the purchase of a new dishwasher. I was really pleased with the whole situation from beginning to end.

Though my dishwasher was still claimed as on fire, they did send $250. Though it did take awhile to get a response from the plumber, once one was contacted he was there in a day and pipes are all running good, so all is good.

My dishwasher overheated and some wires melted. CHW claimed it was a fire, which it wasn't, but they would not replace my dishwasher. But they did give me $250, which paid for about a third of the new Dishwasher. Then my kitchen sink clogged. We had to call three plumbers for one to take CHW. The final one Roto Rooter was great and fixed everything up perfectly. It took about a little over a week to get someone to the house.

Washing machine - leaving clothes very wet - not spinning proper. My original contact with Choice was pleasant and easy. They gave my claim to a local appliance repair shop and they came out when scheduled. Everything was prompt, professional, easy AND affordable. It turns out the repair man said there was really nothing wrong and I felt a little dumb but thought at least it was looked at by a professional.
The very next day I get a call from them stating that Choice had approved them to replace a part that may be beginning to wear out and wanted to be proactive and eliminate a future call for the same issue. They have ordered the part and should be out next week to install it... AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO ME. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty to everyone. Garage door tech said a circuit board was $90 (the estimated cost of the part and labor to install). I called the claims center and the service person increased the cost to $160, to which I agreed (seemed fair to me), then sent a check. That's adequate claims service. I still am unsure what to do since I reread the contract and noticed the $1500 cap. That will not cover half of the cost of a failure in my heating and AC unit.

I just switched over to Choice Home Warranty as of December of 2014. I was with another company for 7 years. I paid $33.00 more per month and $20.00 more for each service call. Most repairs with the other company took between 7 to 14 days to complete, from initial inspection to getting authorization, to ordering parts to final repair. All Brand Service the company that did my repair this time only took 2 days. They were courteous, professional, on time and pleasant to work with. I am pleased and impressed with Choice Home Warranty and the service provider they used.

Called into Choice at 7pm. Received email within a couple of hours with vendor assigned to my claim. Vendor called the next morning. My unit started working again on its own so I told the vendor it was not a emergency so we set a 10 am appointment the day. They spent time going thru and found a couple small discrepancies and thermostat not always working properly. They ordered a new part and replaced it a couple days later. I have had no new problems since. Tech were friendly and very knowledgeable. Thanks to all!

I bought the warranty back in early December after reading all the glowing reviews on this site. My washing machine broke on Saturday. I called right away to file the claim. I did not receive a return call from Choice Home Warranty until 4:40 pm on Monday afternoon. They said they couldn't get anyone to come out for 8 MORE days. I said I could have my repairman out in a day so they let me get him out. He said the belt and transmission needed replaced and that it wasn't worth putting money into it anymore.
Choice spoke to him then denied my claim saying it was a pre existing condition. I told them everyone has household items with pre existing conditions. I asked to be transferred to a person to cancel the contract and did so. Honestly the only thing I recommend about this company was that the cancel process wasn't a hassle. Communication was terrible and they seemed not to care that they just took 2 months of premium for nothing at all.

Everything about Choice Home Warranty was personal, professional and polite. When I called, even though there was voice recording saying there was a long wait time due to a snow storm up north, my call was answered within minutes. The Claims Rep person was excellent and helpful. She made sure she understood my problem (my house flooded and I needed a plumber) and explained everything. She even told me the name of the contractor and said if I had not heard from them in an hour to call them. Great service experience. And I love that you can reach a claims person 24/7!
The quality of service Florida Plumbing Services provided was excellent. When they heard I really wanted someone there that day, they got a team out to me within a few hours. They were great as well. Very nice guys and very personable and professional. In fact, when I wrote a check to them for too much, they caught it in the office and called me, then came back the next day to exchange it.

Having been a customer of Choice for nearly 3 years, I can say I have had only positive experiences. The cost is minimal, and the service has been quality. My only complaint, and it is minimal, is that if you file a claim online, it still requires a phone follow up. Although this assures communication is thorough, it can seem like a unnecessary step. I'd strongly recommend Choice compared to its competitors.

My dishwasher was backing up. The solution was simple. The technician simply removed the plug from the garbage disposal that my husband recently installed. The technician also went beyond a basic service visit by resetting the dishwasher and running a maintenance check which made me feel as if I didn't waste my service fee. Great job!!!

When I had trouble with my furnace fan, not shutting off, because of a faulty relay. I called in my claim, and talked to the service rep. to explain the problem. He gave me a work order number, and the name of the service contractor who will be handling the call. No sooner did I hang up and dial the contractor, and told him my name, he had just got the service contract off the computer, and he knew my name. Wow, talk about quick. Rep. came and said he was ordering a new relay switch, and should be in in a couple of days, and then he will come back and install same. Really happy with the whole system, and glad I had switched to Choice Home Warranty, and dumped the other less than professional company. Keep up the good work.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I just filed a claim on a leaking toilet - it had been leaking from the base (floor). Plumber came out, and had to fix the flange. They denied the claim. They wouldn't even pay for the plumber having to remove the toilet and putting it back. Then the other thing is that if the plumber had been working with choice home for a period of time, they would have known that the company wouldn't approve the flange fix. But they fixed it anyway. I just heard from them this morning. They were there for 40 minutes and want to be paid for 1 1/2 hour service - $200. I was with American Home Shield for 20 years and was never denied a claim. Had to always pay that $65 each time and my monthly was $50, but now I see that was so worth it. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB in Florida.

My washer pump went out on Friday and Nathan (Nathan's Appliance) came out on Saturday. The parts places were closed and he came out today (Tuesday) and put in the new pump. Nathan was very professional and honest. We were very pleased with the service he provided. I would recommend him.

My AC started to make a noise. I called CHW. They send a guy from Queen City Mechanics. The guy just vacuumed the area. After 10 min he said that I owed him $159.00. Choice Home Warranty does not cover that. This person did not fix anything. So, they send another company. They found the problem but after two weeks I called CHW to find about the status of my issue. After several calls finally they talked to me to said that they not cover that problem because is my fault. This company is joke. Think about it before you hire them.

I call Choice Home Warranty about my furnace. They sent a technical out. When the tech came out he suggest that our furnace be replaced. Two day later I received a call from Choice Warranty that was not going to fix or repair my unit. I asked them to send me something in writing to why they were denied my claim, and they also said that they don't send out nothing in writing to why they were denied my claim. I would not refer this company to anyone.

I have been using home warranty services for 20+ years and Choice Home Warranty is the best! During the very cold weather my heater went out. I had completion in less than 2 days! I have used this service twice and both times I had an appointment scheduled the same day!

Upon signing up with Choice Home Warranty we went to turn on the pool heater and found it not working, so I put in a claim and within a day we had a pool service to contact. The man came right away and thought it to be the transformer, however found out it keeps shorting and has put in for a new heater. So it will remain to be seen what happens - as to the current status, all is well.

There was a plumbing issue at my home. The initial vendor assigned was unavailable until an unreasonable date so CHW assigned the claim to another vendor. He came the same day and resolved the issue within 24 hrs. Excellent customer service.

The issue was addressed very quickly after I reported. The service company which was assigned to fix my garage door took no time to schedule the service. On the day of service, the associate called us and checked if he can come sooner than planned and we were OK with it. He took care of our garage door with perfection.

I entered contract in November 2015 and call them in mid-January 2015 to request service for my washing machine. The MC technician inspected the issue and informed me that the pump needs to be replace. He will bring a new one within a week. The next day, I received a call from a claim supervisor informing me that the service would not be covered because the issue must have been there before I entered contract. The fact is that I have used the machine when needed and never experience any issue until January. I was charge $45 for the visit and the machine was taken apart. I am very angry with CHW and want them to do their job and fix the machine instead of accusing me of being aware of an issue that did not exist. I have been paying $40 a month for warranty not to enrich those who are incapable of honoring their contract.

I called in request for service on my washing machine. I was given a Service number, told who would be servicing my washing machine along with their number. I contacted Cooling Tampa, they came out within 48 hours, determined it was unrepairable. Choice called me with an offer of $300 to put towards purchase of new or used Washing Machine. We had problems with our Maytag dryer. The control panel was messed up, sometimes it would work other times it took forever to get it to start. We called Choice Home Warranty and they immediately called a repairman. They had to order a new computer board for the unit. When it arrived they immediately came back and replace. Worked good for about a week, then started again. Called Choice back. The repairman (Chris) immediately came back, ordered a new computer board and touch control board for the unit. As soon as the boards came back he was here, installed new boards, made sure everything worked correctly, even had a smile on his face... Don't see that too often. Unit is working fantastic, no complaints at all!

The experience began nasty because the first tech was not timely and not a good problem solver with my issue. After contacting the customer service department, they immediately assigned another tech who came in and did the repair immediately. Have 3 homes that were placed with Choice Home Warranty at the end of 2013. I've called for service on 4 occasions and had 2 denied. The first denial was for a leak in the solenoid connected to the icemaker. The technician collected $45 and then said our plan did not cover leaks of any kind. He proceeded to turn off the icemaker valve, but failed to do so completely. As a consequence the line continued to leak and ruined our kitchen hardwood floor. One week later Choice Home Warranty realized I had purchased optional icemaker coverage and completed a repair, but the damage to the floor was brushed off as the responsibility of the technician's insurance company.
The last denial was for a circa 1998 A/C unit on our rental home in Gainesville, FL on the basis that a Freon leak was not "wear and tear", but rather "failure to clean or maintain as specified by the equipment manufacturer". The company's claims supervisor actually stated that unless I could prove the A/C unit had documented maintenance completed on the inside of the unit since the last repair (June 2013), the leak of Freon experienced was not covered. He has provided the company's home address for us to file a dispute - we'll have our attorney draft the letter, and look to cancel the remaining terms on our 3 contracts.

Choice home warranty is the best for home warranty solutions. I was skeptical initially with horror stories of other home warranty companies, but Choice had me covered from Day 1. I had issues with heating during the month of November and I was able to call and quickly get a claim started. When they did not get a tech to service immediately, they were okay for me to arrange the service tech and later reimbursed me. I really loved their flexible approach. I even got the check back within 2 to 3 weeks.

I have 4 ton lennox, would come but motor would not kick in, just sound like couldn't get up speed, so no blower. Called air force one 2x a day for five days, with no return call. Not even courtesy call. When I called TXU, they helped (ins was through them). Called CHW, they were out next day. They sent an e-mail & called to follow up. I called to have my Dishwasher repaired, (age just over 1 year). CHW sent a technician who diagnosed the problem as the control panel and controller. This machine cost over $1200 now a little over 1 year ago by my contractor who just rebuilt my home after a fire. CHW decided not to repair or replace my dishwasher as the cost was too high but instead is sending me a check for $260. They quoted 2 paragraphs in their contract which allows them to choose NOT to fix or replace anything at their discretion and to pay what they want to pay regardless of retail value. If you look up the BBB for Edison, NJ which is where they are located you will see that they have a grade of "F" due to an exceedingly high number of complaints in the past 12 months.

Our dishes were not getting clean even though the dishwasher was going through the full cycle. I found out that it was not filling with water. I called Choice warranty and they contacted a repair company. The service provider contacted us and we set up an appointment. The technician found there was a bad relay on the motherboard. They replaced the motherboard and all is good. Real pleased with the service provided.

Contacted CHW on a Saturday morning week before Thanksgiving about hot water heater not working. This is the 3rd time in 2 months. After 5 days without hot water CHW couldn't find a plumber to come out and work on heater. Seems none of the plumbers contracted to CHW wanted to work on a GE hot water heater. After going back and forth for days and Holiday approaching I reach out to BBB. Once that was done I then dealt with supervisors.
In speaking with CHW supervisor Jayme I was given the choice of finding a plumber to do the repairs. I found one willing to come out the same afternoon. However they refused to speak with CHW as did several other plumbers I called. They agreed to give me a written diagnosis of the problem to forward on to them. I told CHW supervisor that none of the plumbers I contacted wanted to deal with them. She emailed me a reimbursement form and I was instructed to fill that out and attach the diagnosis as well as the invoice. I faxed a copy attention to Jayme as I also mail a copy.
After 45 days of not hearing from CHW I contacted BBB again. BBB reached out to CHW again on my behalf. CHW came back and offered me $100 for labor. The bill for replacement was for $750. Replacement of heater was a legitimate claim and covered by CHW. However they now claim I didn't get plumber on the phone to get their approval to repair or replace the heater. Seriously? No status report on claim, no letter, no nothing! I'm a Realtor, we have always sold these warranty companies to our clients in order to protect them on expensive repairs. These companies are a joke and a ripoff. I'm now waiting on BBB since I refused to accept $100 on labor. Don't waste your money. Put a little aside monthly for repairs.

The first plumbers CHW sent out fixed 2 of my 3 issues, but didn't want to tackle the third issue. They also left a mess throughout the house and I had to call them back to clean it up and unclog a drain they had plugged with plaster. They had bad attitudes. CHW is sending another plumber to repair the remaining problem without charging me another $45 deductible for the additional call. I am happy with how CHW handled the problem, but not the first two plumbers. I am not sure if it was just a problem with those two technicians or the whole plumbing company, but CHW is sending new techs from a new company this time.

I was quickly given a claim number by customer service supervisor. I called the contractor and they said they will be out to my home in 45 mins. It took them about 2 hours to arrive, and they diagnosed the problem as a bad ignitor. (It took about 15 mins) Mr ** said they would come back on Friday sometime, they needed to get the part. Friday afternoon I received a call and Mr ** said he would be here at 6 pm. Again, late about 1 1/2 hours. They finished the job in about 20 mins later. I found out through internet research, the ignitor can be purchased locally at Home Depot or a Supply house.

Low or no hot water coming out of any faucets throughout the house. Started with a couple and over a few days ended up being all faucets. Juan, the plumbing technician knew almost immediately what the problem was and proceeded to make the repair. He explained what could be done to keep this from happening again. He was friendly and explained all he was doing. He went through the house and checked each faucet to make sure I had the proper pressure and amount of hot water. I advised him not only was it more than it had ever been, the water was hotter, too. Would recommend his company, DeWolfe's Affordable Plumbing to anyone for plumbing repairs. Choice Home Warranty representatives were very responsive to my needs and did a good job for me. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone who is looking for a warranty for their home. This is the first time I had a claim and I am every impressed with their handling of it.

Our heater gave us trouble and that day we got a technician out to the house. The repairman was VERY skilled and wonderfully helpful. We are warm again! It was all easy and quick and cheap! 1st Claim filed on 8/20/14 - AC issue - Denied numerous times - Covered repair. Technician used my phone to contact CHW - explained system was original - 37 years old and nothing else - just old, age was the factor and parts could not be found. When I spoke to CHW later that evening and spoke to a Supervisor - he told me that the technician stated poor maintenance on the unit. Falsifying the notes in my account, and disregarding diagnosis of 2 technicians. Caught them lying to avoid paying for repair. Numerous phone calls (15+) and emails - I reach a customer advocate whose email address was on the BBB website. Gave opportunity to resolve. 1 month to finally agree to the repair after having to provide maintenance records. I pay for the repair out of my pocket (Mid August) and only reimbursed the max that they would pay out of $1500 weeks later (10/14 estimate check received).
I filed a 2nd claim on my upstairs AC Unit on 12/30/14 - The Compressor apparently shorted out. Not from a power outage. They again claim lack of maintenance. 2 Technicians feel it was how the compressor was installed, that the lines might not have been cleaned out causing contaminates to makes its way into the refrigerant system (common occurrence) - CHW told me they could not determine the cause but denied the claim anyway in their favor.
Again, I have emailed, made numerous calls and have since written a letter to the CEO - no answer. Am I shocked? Not at all. The contract is clear. They cover 2 AC Units. I have 2 AC Units. Claim 1 was filed on the downstairs unit on August 29, 2014. Claim 2 was filed on my upstairs unit on 12/30/14. All components are covered. They pick and choose what they will cover based on what it will cost all the while they sit back and collect the consumers premium. I should not have to jump through hoops to have a repair covered when I have a warranty in place for just that very reason. They do not return calls, emails, comments from Social Media.
Why would you do business with an unethical company like CHOICE HOME WARRANTY?? I filed a complaint with the NJ BBB. They responded immediately when they felt they were in the right until I corrected them and told them this is a second claim for the 2nd unit. The BBB closed the case today and placed it in the "UNRESOLVED" file because Choice Home Warranty would not respond back! Why not respond if in the right? Because they know they are liable. Run from Choice Home Warranty. This would be the most costly and worst CHOICE you could make!!

Choice provided us with a technician and after the initial appointment would not submit diagnosis or details with CHW or us. Choice had made several attempts to call the technician while on the phone with us as well as calling him at other times. No return call backs after several attempts from both parties! After 15 days to give the technician (Jeffrey of Jeffrey Appliance) an opportunity to complete the job CHW offered us a check of $300 towards the replacement of a new washing machine.
My wife and I were very happy with this outcome; in fact we're so pleased with Choice that we are adding more rental properties for CHW to protect our investments! We have had over warranty companies and Choice is the Best Value. Also my initial contact with Choice Account Executive, Maurice **, has been wonderful in assisting me anytime I need him and he is always quickly to respond to my emails. A very satisfied customer.
