This was my second claim in a short time & the service by choice is once again impeccable! I called early morning and my repair was complete by approximately 230 pm. Awesome! The Choice rep wasted no time initiating claim & assigning the same company that had just repaired my dishwasher the previous week. Simply fantastic! Choice Home Warranty price is just great! Inexpensive and a must have for any homeowner especially after a few years' old appliances, etc. Gonna be a long time customer!

Outstanding Phone service and outstanding for I called for washer service 7pm, told someone would call next day. Service personnel called around 8.30 next day, was at our residence at 10 and finished by 10:45. Outstanding all the way around. Thank you.

I had a four year contract with Home Choice. I had the outside unit fail on my central air. It leaked gas. They would not pay for the repair. I put my claim in on a Monday. The AC guy came out on Wednesday. I called them several times to ask why they rejected my claim. They said it was normal wear and tear and Home Choice does not cover that. Home Choice said vibration caused the leak. The cover was never taken off the unit outside. When I told Home Choice that, they ignored what I said and said they were waiting on pictures.

We are very pleased with the service we received on our a/c unit. Very professional technician and knowledgeable. We would like to keep him name on record for the future. Thank you.

I called Choice to get our cooktop fixed. They dispatched a technician and have him look at the cooktop. We couldn't schedule the repair sooner due to schedule conflicts. But overall I liked the service delivered. Thanks, Choice.

I have had all positive dealings with Choice Home Warranty. They are prompt to respond and always follow up. I recommend them for any new home buyer.

So I have a faucet leaking right now and I am with a different home warranty company that told me I have to have added faucets to my extended package, which made me go looking for another company. I called Choice and when they told me a 30 day wait, I told him no thanks and he then tried to entice me to still purchase their coverage to where my service fee would be half. I told him that wasn't the issue and then tried to tell me that it would only cost me $20 to fix the faucet, which is wrong. Because if I have to buy a new faucet, that alone is more. And a plumber may have to come out and that would cost more. The guy was very pushy, which doesn't help my problem.

Well my AC unit stopped working so I contacted Choice Home Warranty and within minutes I received my confirmation and contact number of the repair company. The repairman showed up within 1 1/2 hour and quickly assessed the problem. He contacted Choice and they approved the repair and a short time later we once again had cool air flowing into our home. Thank you Choice!!

I have had a home warranty on my home systems for 10 years. I changed my service to Choice because both the monthly price and service call fee were much less than the previous firm I used. I had an issue with my air conditioner on one of the hottest Houston holiday weekends this summer.

I made a claim and it all started to happen. I called one hour repair who made a appointment and came out to inspect and made a decision. My garbage disposal was replaced and I was back in business. Thanks to their great service.

I had AC issue on 7/13/14 (Sun). Contact was made with Choice. I received via email my service contractor; phone call made and was surprised but happy he answered. He came out the same evening and informed my husband we needed a new inside unit because it was burned up due to lack of maintenance and the home warranty company would not cover repair. It was going to cost me over $3,000 to replace that unit. So a call was made to another AC company for another opinion (out of my pocket). Let's just say my AC was repaired and cooling before 8 am Monday, July 14, 2014. I needed freon for the most part. I contacted Choice via an email regarding my service contractor assigned and the one I found. In a nutshell, Choice reimbursed me what I paid the AC guy I called. Customer Service Supervisor was great in dealing with my case. She is what Choice Home Warranty needs on their Team! AC is still going strong!

I woke up to find that my garage door opener had no power to it. I had recently signed up with Choice Home Warranty and decided to try it out. I was concerned that I might get push back since I was a new member, but I shouldn't have worried. The customer service representative was very friendly, listened to the issue, immediately issued a case number, and even gave me instructions to call the provider in an hour to get them moving a bit quicker.

I have always had a very positive experience with Choice Home Warranty. This time was no exception. Although after contacting Choice I found out the problem part was not covered under the plan, the customer service representative did everything she could to find a way to assist me. After discussing the issue with her supervisor they provided a case number to me for a technician to come and look at the problem, as I had been a loyal customer. Though there was still no guarantee they would repair or replace the defective item. The technician was very professional and quickly identified the problem. After contacting Choice they agreed to replace the part as it was not repairable. I just want to say thank you to everyone involved for helping my family and I to get the issue taken care of. Great job, great customer service and yes I would recommend Choice Home Warranty!

Bathroom fan not working. They have quick response.

I developed a block in my sink drain on Saturday. I called CHW Saturday night, and the customer service rep took my information. She said to wait for the Plumbing company (whoever it ended up being). When I called them on Monday afternoon to check the status, I was informed they needed some more information. Apparently, the first person I talked to did not do their job properly. This might have only cost me a day without a working sink, but it's worth mentioning nonetheless. That is my only complaint. The plumber that was contracted out was very nice, punctual, efficient and thorough. I would highly recommend this plumber to all my friends and family.

The technician came and cleared the clog in my pipes but noticed that my disposal was leaking and had a crack. He recommended replacing it but had to get permission from Choice. The booster pump on my swimming pool was making a terrible noise. I called in to place a claim and the very friendly representative I spoke with verified my policy coverage and quickly gave me the name and number to the company that would be used to take care of my issue. I called after hours and left contact information on their recorder. I was contacted the next day and set up an appointment the following day to get it looked at. The service man called before coming by. He arrived and turned the booster pump on and quickly turned it off. He went out to his truck and retrieved the new pump motor along with his tools needed to change it out. Within an hour he had the motors switched out and all I had to pay was the 45.00 service call fee. It was a marvelous experience with none of the hassle or runaround like I have received in the past with other companies. Thanks for being there Choice.

When I arrived home, my A/C had stopped running and it was 85+ degrees in my home. I called Choice and within minutes I was assigned a technician, who came out that very day and got my A/C up and running again. Wonderful service.

We have used Choice Home Warranty a few times and already and am pleased with their vendors' quick response time. The vendors have all been pleasant and knowledgeable.

Service request was very quick and I received a email with the service order number within an hour. Also received a call from the Service contractor the same day. My service order was completed within 96 hours from the time the service request was made. Last the service contractor was on time and arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment.

The first a/c firm called to tell me they could not handle your call. It took a while but another repair firm was contacted and they arrived when they said they would and made the needed repairs. I was very pleased.

The pool pump stopped working suddenly. In Texas summer this means in couple of days the pool can turn green. I submitted a claim request to choice home warranty online (it was evening). Next afternoon, which means the same business day, a tech came. He told me "this is probably a capacitor blew up. I will replace it." I asked "are you sure, you are not testing anything?" He said "95% that's the reason." He replaced the capacitor in 10 minutes, the pump worked smoothly. I loved this experience because it took few business hours from submitting a claim to having the claim fixed. And more importantly, I didn't hear the hassle of, whose fault is it, covered or not covered?... This is the kind of worry free service I am looking for.

My AC was leaking water and called for service - done excellent JOB from contractor and CHW.

The repairman was very quick, he knew what exactly the problem was with the agitator's inside parts worn out, and replaced them. Put the agitator back together inside the center of the machine and the washer worked washing my clothes as good as new.

Called on a Friday afternoon and had someone come look at my dishwasher the next Monday. Have to order a part but what a great job.

The plumber contractor was prompt in returning my call to make an appointment. The plumber assigned to do the work arrived when arranged, assessed the leak and made the repairs in a timely manner. He went over some extra equipment on the hot water heater which allows me to have hotter water. Great service.

These people are crooks. My dishwasher quit draining 7 days after the contract went into effect. Choice Home Warranty denied the claim as preexisting. Said I was supposed to know that when I bought the policy. They wouldn't allow me to speak to the Resolution Supervisor's boss. I live in an older home. I can see this happening with every system in the house.

Called CHW due to problems with my light in my kitchen not turning on. I tried changing the bulbs twice and checked the circuit breaker with no luck. I called CHW and they got a repairman out the next day. After troubleshooting the repairman said the problem was the ballast. Ok, no problem. He goes to check if it's covered and comes back to say it is not. So the ballast is not considered electrical? Because the warranty says my electrical is covered yet, they won't repair my light fixture?? When I wrote them to ask why they didn't cover it I received no response. If they just have people come to evaluate the situation I can do that on my own. I just wish I knew before hand that's all they did, I would not have wasted my money on them. No wonder they are not BBB approved. One very dissatisfied customer here.

I recently called about my a/c pan having standing water in it. Your company does not cover a/c draining issues. To make a long story short, I had to purchase a new a/c unit. It seems that I am wasting my money paying your company for coverage.

This was exceptional. The first vendor sent out: GET COOL didn't properly secure the wires for the installation of the Motor Fan and resulted in the wires hitting the fan and an outage. Choice took the responsibility for their vendor's performance and sent a different vendor "AC by Tracy"... and an excellent analysis, part provided, repair approved and repair replacement done in an efficient manner. What can I say, My respect for Choice is heightened and will continue to recommend. I feel I am not just a customer. I feel a part of the Choice Caring Family... I have already recommended friends who have signed up in both the 2013-2014 fiscal years.

Upon getting home about 3:30 pm on Thursday, 8/7/14, the house was 80 degrees. I called Choice and within 10 minutes I had a call from JP Heating and Cooling. They were at my home within 30 minutes and had the problem fixed within 15 minutes. I was so impressed and will DEFINITELY recommend Choice and this contractor. Thank you so much as I have multiple sclerosis and cannot stand the heat and would have had to stay in a hotel for the night had it not been for this wonderful service. I am so glad I switched companies and AHS should be ashamed of themselves for not only their terrible service but not standing to their agreement.

Our air conditioner died last week. We live in South Florida, and it was brutally hot all week long. The technician was kind, sympathetic and open, explaining the problem and what he was going to do. Even though it took a few days to get the part that was needed, he returned, fixed the problem, and did so in a professional manner.

The service on my freezer was excellent. I called Home Warranty. It only took only a minute or so. The service called and made an appointment. They were on time and had my freezer fixed in about an half hour. No Complaints at all.

Pool plumbing was leaking and pump was not pumping the water strong enough to facilitate vacuuming. Service man (Bob) came and fixed the plumbing and replaced two valves. The job was very difficult because there was not any pipe left to make connections. Bob had to chip away pieces of fittings in order to find surface to glue new pipes. He also took time to explain what happened and gave me advice to help prevent the problem in the future.

I was very impressed with the service through Choice Warranty. They were easy to reach and everyone I spoke to was very nice and easy to work with. They sent emails and made phone calls that were effective to keep me in the loop and keep the process moving along. The process was very timely. I am very pleased with their service.

I had a problem with my AC not cooling properly. I called Choice Home Warranty and sent a repair man a day later. He put some Freon and left. A week later, I had the same problem and I called Choice Home Warranty and they sent the same guy again. This time, AC Technician told me that there is a leak in the AC system and will charge me to do a leak detector test, $175.00. Choice Home Warranty will not cover such tests. AC tech told me that he found a leak in the evaporator coil and took photos to send to CHW.

Customer service was good. Very helpful with the situation. The service call with the contractor had a few miscommunications and took more of my time and his than expected. Overall glad it is done.

I have a dishwasher problem, and I call to Choice Home Warranty, and before I disconnect the phone, I received an email from Choice Home Warranty for a Technician's phone number. Next day, Technician came on time and found a problem, but unfortunately parts are no longer available. So next day Choice Home Warranty called me and gave me a decent amount of money for help to buy new Dishwasher. Now I am very happy that I made a good decision to buy a Choice Home Warranty. No worry for all Home Appliances.

We have a rental use that we have coverage on. The unit needed was not cooling properly so we filed a claim. The first tech they sent out was extremely rude and short tempered. He didn't have the 5 minutes to wait time for my tenant to get a hold of me to see if I would be willing to pay for extra services. He said nothing was wrong with the unit - it just needed cleaned. He didn't perform any service, packed up and left before I even had to time call my tenant back. I filed a complaint with Choice about the tech and they assigned someone new.

Toilet was not working proper so I called Choice.. I was contacted shortly by Jack's Plumbing who wanted to come out that very day. They said they had a man in the area but I could not be home for another hour. They said he would wait in the area till I got home. AMAZING! Problem got solved and back to normal. THANK YOU.

My AC stopped blowing cold air in the middle of summer in AZ. CHW was very helpful in taking my claim and immediately giving me a technician to call to come out and fix the problem. And they always check in to see how service went and if the homeowner is satisfied with the tech and with CHW.

My experience with Big D Appliance was the best ever. The technician diagnosed my washer problem within 10 minutes of entering my home. So this is my first use of Choice Home Warranty. I must admit when the contacted me I was a little nervous as I have heard many horror stories of home warranty companies. The phone was answered quickly (despite a message that call volumes were high). The person that answered was very professional and got things squared away. I received a confirmation email and a notice of the company that had been contacted to do my service before I even got off the call.

The service technician responded within 24 hours of service request. The service technician Mr. ** was polite and pinned pointed the problem. He ordered the part and returned on the promised day. He came on a Friday and returned on a Tuesday. Tuesday was the agreed upon day.

Technician arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, very polite. He wrote all info to order parts. I received a call from Choice service team 3 days later to advice of solution. The young lady was very nice and helpful. Thank You Choice Warranty.

Whenever the vendor was assigned, the vendor was there at time. When there was a problem, it was taken care of right away.

I was given quick prompt service. My washer machine went down and a service company contacted me the very next day. They came out within 2 days. It ended up that it was not able to be fixed. They offered me blue book amount towards a new machine. I was a little disappointed because I thought it was a total replacement, but still, they issued the check immediately and I received it before my new one was delivered. The customer service though, was excellent, everyone I spoke with courteous and explained everything with much knowledge.

Really liked the gentleman that come and repaired unit. I was called to update that he was running behind.

They said it cost too much to repair and it is old they will buy us out and give us $390. I know it is $2000 or more but I am satisfied.

I switched to Choice in July 2014. I made my first call to them August 1st regarding an issue with my pool pump. They told me I would get a call regarding the company and technician that would be servicing my call. I received an automated call with a telephone number. I called the number to set up service and there is no answer and no calls back. I have called Choice back and they told me they didn't have anyone else yet to come out and that I could call a company myself and pay the service fee and submit it to them for reimbursement. But of course, I have to call Choice once the service technician arrives and have them approved before any work can be done!!! This is why I am paying them so I don't have to do this. Over it!! I am switching back to my old company and paying more!

Needed service attention in a rental. As a distant owner, I required immediate response and complete addressing of the problem. One call to Choice resolved the problem. The heater was located in attic and leaking water that was damaging my ceiling and floor. The damages were minimized. I was pleased and so was my tenant. Thanks.

On a late Friday night, our air conditioner went out. Worried about the next several days forecast of 100 plus temperatures and being faced with a weekend. I figured we would be in for a hot time. I call Home Choice and made a claim on that Friday night. To my amazement, Home Choice assigned a repair service and I was contacted, scheduled and the Air conditioner was repaired early Saturday - All done and repaired within 14 hours from my reporting the problem. Response was quick when I submitted my claim for AC service. However the contractor could not schedule same day as I know many other companies do.

I have had this service for only a couple of months and already I have had two claims. The people at choice are friendly and very helpful. They call the day after you set up the service call to find out what's going on, and they call after the fix has been completed to make sure you're happy with it. The people they contract have been great too. They show up when they say they will and fix it right, no cut corners from what I have seen.. Well worth the cost of admission.

My A/C broke on a Friday afternoon in July in Florida. The first vendor they referred couldn't come until Monday. So I called back and CHW found another vendor that came on Saturday morning. So we were only without air for less than 24 hours. I am so impressed with the service.

I called in a claim for a leaking copper water line and an actual person answered my call and very professionally and politely took down my information. I received the contractor's information via email within an hr. and had an appointment scheduled in a timely manner. The technician called to ask if he could show up early which was okay with me. After he arrived he was done with the required work in half an hour. He was very professional did a fast job and cleaned up the area exceptionally well before leaving. A couple of hours later the same day I received a call from customer service following up to ask if I was satisfied with the work. I can say not only am I satisfied with the work but with everybody's professionalism.

I switched from Old Republic warranty to Choice Home Warranty because the rates were much less. I was very apprehensive about service, but I can tell you I'm extremely happy now. I had a problem with my hot water heater on Sunday, called choice home warranty and they had me a service tech out by Monday afternoon. Had to order a part and I had hot water Tuesday morning. Excellent service and my service deductible was less than Old Republic. You made a true believer out of me thank you!

My experience with Choice Home Warranty was a pleasant one. The customer service rep was very polite and took the time to understand my need. After understanding my need, the rep made contact with a vendor that would resolve my problem. The rep also gave me the name and number of the vendor that was assigned to the job. An offer of assistance was extended if we did not receive service in a timely manner. The service received from the assigned vendor was excellent. The entire experience was a pleasant one. I would certainly recommend this company to family and friends.

I signed up with Choice Home on May 30, 2014 after being with another Home Warranty Company for 6 years and the reason I changed was Choice Home was $10 per month cheaper and the Policy seemed to be similar but I quickly found out I was Wrong... My coverage began on June 30, 2014 and on July 7, 2014, I noticed an Appliance was making noise and Choice after 2 weeks found me a local repair Company and, when they came and diagnosed the problem, Choice Denied my Claim and said it was Pre-existing which was determined by their in-house Technicians even though I was not aware of the noise prior to July 7.

This is only the second time we have had to call, but this time it was our plumbing. Not only was the contractor courteous and polite, but they were very thorough and did not take long at all! The first contractor that came for our Furnace had Nothing but GOOD things to say about Choice Home Warranty! I HIGHLY recommend, and for the record I recommend often!

Called to make a claim and was contacted the next day. They came out that afternoon. Allen troubleshot the problem and figured out there were too many wires connected to the eye that automatically raised the door if someone or something broke the beam. Very thankful and no problem since. Also, I've worked with this company before and would recommend them.

I put in a call to the 800 number and I received an e-mail and phone call from the company that was going to do the repair. The technician arrived at 8 AM the following morning and was very professional. The technician was not able to fix the opener, and made arrangements to have a new one installed within 48 hours. I am very pleased with Choice and I feel that it was money well spent to purchase their home warranty!

After it was determined that my refrigerator could not be fixed, I was told there would still be some compensation. I have been told that if something cannot be fixed it would be replaced, but that must not be the case. Although, we bought the refrigerator used, and the money received will allow the purchase of another secondhand one.

The owner of Josh's Appliance Repair is the technician who showed up at the scheduled time on Saturday, July 26, and it didn't take him long to troubleshoot the problems. There are a couple of things that need to be replaced, and he had to wait until Monday to order them. He wasn't sure when they'd be coming in, but that's when we expect to hear from him again; when the actual work will be done.

The technician was polite and professional, showed up on time and had the problem fixed and on his way.

And later that afternoon, we had a plumber from choice who located the problem, and the problem was solved quickly and with just the cost of a small service fee.

CHW immediately assigned my case to a technician. I received both a call and an email confirmation. Each of the representatives I spoke with by phone were pleasant and professional. I felt as though they were concerned about me and the fact that my air conditioner was not working. Although the diagnosis given by the technician was not covered, personnel referred me to the manufacturer because the compressor should still be under factory warranty.

My washing machine stopped working on Thursday evening and I called the Home Choice Warranty. The next day a contractor came and fixed the fault explaining that it was a switch fault which he called the Choice Home office and was informed to replace the switch. It was an excellent first service.

This is one of the worst companies that I have ever had to deal with. They drafted my bank account and withdrew $465.00 of my money that was not due to them at all because my account was completely paid in full for the year. I called them five times before I spoke to anyone who could be of any assistance. They never returned my phone call of a previous complaint from a similar situation where they drafted money over a week before the date that I agreed to have drafted causing me four fees in total.

I live in a semi-rural area where service providers are not prone to using a Home Warranty Company. As a result, I have to use the reimbursement option. I have found CHW to be fair and prompt in determining coverage and authorizing and paying reimbursements. In fact some repairs have been approved when coverage was questionable. I have been pleased with my contract and impressed with the professionalism of the people with which I have had contact. I was offered and purchased coverage on two refrigerator ice makers that are an excluded item. I wish other such excluded items such as ice makers/crushers, ice and beverage dispensers, water softeners, garage door springs, travelers, tracks, etc., were included as listed optional items.

Ok, I called at 7am because the ac went out. It is 98 degrees in Houston with humidity feels like 105, it is now almost 6pm, have not received a call back yet. When I called back about mid day their 24hr claim line was closed for inbound calls. I am now researching other warranty companies. Heard many negatives about them but never had to use them before. They take the fees out promptly every month but cannot fix my ac. I have a baby in my home and I am currently pregnant. I cannot stay in a house over 100 degrees.

The technician was at my house and service was completed less than 48 hours after the claim was made and when the technician was uncertain about the amount to collect for the service call, a quick, easy phone call to CHW resulted in a representative who was able to take care of everything within minutes. This is my first service call with Choice and I am happy that I made the switch!

We have had a contract with Choice Home Warranty for several years and our present contract runs through 2019. We have had several claims and each claim was handled to our satisfaction very quickly.

While Choice Home Warranty (seemingly) does what their contract says is legal, what they DO NOT cover is far more extensive than what salespersons led me to believe. I've had three claims on three homes. One claim was covered. It involved a commode that was not operating correctly. The second claim was NOT covered because the plumbing issue was on the outside of the house by 2 feet. The third issue was not covered because doors aren't covered. A dishwasher is covered...except for the door. A refrigerator is covered...except for the door. A garage door is covered...except for the door. I was told this at the point of the claim but was never told this at the time of purchase. I've experienced coverage on competing warranties without all the "fine print exclusions". I will cancel my coverage and get the company I had previously at another property. I highly recommend AGAINST this coverage (or lack thereof).

The service was fast. The repairman called and came to my home the same day and he went straight to work. The next day your office call the next day and they were very polite and their settlement was very fair. Thank you so much.

My stove died out on me. The service man came to check it and it was determined that it would be best to replace. There was no hassle in getting the replacement money for the stove. It was quick (within 30 days) and the customer service was awesome. The only issue I have is that the money provided is not nearly enough to purchase a stove comparable to what I had as I was given the depreciated value. However, had I not had the warranty I would have had to purchase a new stove anyways, so it is well worth it!

Service was great. I called and registered a request for repair on Saturday. Later that day I received a call with the name and contact for the repair service dispatched. I called the company and they set up an appointment for Monday. We had severe storms so he called on Monday and made it for Tuesday at noon. Showed up on time, very professional, fixed problem, and was very nice.

I have several rental properties with them. They find more reasons not to cover a repair. They always say possible power surge when in fact there has been none. Then they just told me that they didn't cover low boy hot water heaters! They are in all of my condos. The salesperson just skipped over that. On another unit they said the air conditioning system had to be cleaned by a refrigeration company and I had to have paid bills for this. I have a handyman manager who takes care of this. They said it wasn't good enough. According to the contract it just has to be cleaned according to manufacturers warranty book. I have not been covered yet. Better to self insure when you have multiple properties.

Although the work has yet to be done, I have been assured that CHW will cover a portion of the cost. I am happy to be able to select my own technicians as I have someone I've worked with before.

Air was not working and service tech came out within 24 hours and did repair on fan motor circuit.

After submitting a claim for my pool equipment that was not covered by the contract (defective filter media), the technician discovered a leak near my pool motor. I submitted the claim to Choice and they didn't charge me another service call fee to have the technician come back out to fix this covered claim.
