I chose Choice because I was dissatisfied with my prior home warranty company. Even though I have only had two service calls, I have received prompt and professional responses from the customer service reps to the technicians. All repairs were done within a 24-hour window. Love that! I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Was Saturday, July 18th 2015. I did submit my claim and CHW team did everything possible to fix my air conditioning. By Tuesday, technician came and fix.

I had an A/C unit freeze up and needed help quick. I live in Arizona and the average temp right now is 110 July 20th. Quick professional service... My A/C was up and running in about 28 hours after it died. Thanks Choice.

I use Choice Home Warranty for the first time on Tuesday. My air conditioning had stop work about 9pm that evening. I call Choice Home Warranty leery how they can help me that late in the evening. I spoke to their service representative who was very professional and caring, who took my information and said, "We will call you once your claim is process." All I could think to myself it's going to be a hot week or longer. All I could think of doing was getting my family together (three children, ages one to three) and staying with family. To my amazement, Choice Home Warranty got in touch with early in the morning and my air conditioning was up and working by noon. The repairman was professional and courteous. Great Service. Will recommend this service to friends and family and strangers. Thank You Choice Home Warranty.

Be careful: Choice Home Warranty is a scam!!! They refuse to pay the companies that come out for the claims and they refuse to pay for the claim and offered us $300.00 for a $1300 washer that was less than 3 years old. When I got the plan it cost $1250 for 3 years. When I canceled the policy they prorated the plan to $59.00 per month of the 10 months we had the policy. The service fee on the dryer claim was $400.00 and they charged us that fee and an additional fee of $50.00. So for my $1250.00, I will receive back $200.00. WHAT A RACKET and I am not the only person taken to the cleaners.

Rainey Day Climate Control Company responded within one hour and dispatched service quickly. Parts were ordered and installed within 48 hrs. The technician Robert was very knowledgeable and friendly. The system is now working perfectly.

I have had this product for three years six months and am very happy with the service they supplied. Purchasing the service for a three year period, was much lower than the one year price, plus they added six months to the service. Also the service charge fee is considerably less than other home services I checked on. I've had a good experience with Home Choice and would recommend it everyone.

First serviceman sent Wed. did not diagnose the problem and lied to you about what was wrong with our A/C. The back and forth calls getting our problem resolved was exhausting as for our A/C was out Wed. and until 5:00 PM Thurs. When the second serviceman was sent to us from Sheerkahn Services (Sub Contractor) who diagnosed the problem in one minute changed a Capacitor and everything works fine. Do not use Jamerds Engineering on any of your A/C jobs in the future.

On the evening of July 16th 2015 I submitted a request for a/c service online and received a claim #. Shortly before 8 am the next morning I received a call from CHW with instructions to call Family Heating & Air to set up an appointment for service. Before I could make that call I received a call from Family Heating & Air stating they would be at my home at 9 am. I met the serviceman at 9 am and he determined that the A/C was low on Freon. He and his assistant recharged the unit with the needed Freon, tightened a valve that was leaking, and made sure the unit was running to my satisfaction. The entire repair was completed quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased and will continue recommending CHW to family and friends.

If you have a tiny repair, you "might" be ok. But anything major, they will blame the issue on you and deny your claim. They say you should have maintained the product... as if you're a professional. No need for me to go into lengthy details, it's all been said about this scamming company and their horrible customer service reps/contracted repairmen 10,0000 times on these review boards. I warn you, they will find a way to deny any major claim and there's nothing you can do. Oh and the workers that arrive, always late, will add on fees that just happen to been missed ahead of time. Pay a little more and use a real company please.

I had talked with a agent for the company and she quickly took my information. She told me who would be calling me and would send e-mail with information. We called in for service and BNB HVAC came replaced a capacitator but unfortunately the fan stopped working but Choice immediately sent them again. They ordered the part and tomorrow they will replace the fan.

I have used your services 3 times. For the first 2, excellent performance. This time, not as great. I was given the name of a company that later refused to come out due to some kind of conflict with you. By the 2nd company I was told they no longer service garage doors. Finally, the next day, I was given a company that ended up doing the repair. When the technician came, around 4.45 pm, he had to call in for authorization. Both he and I ended up trying to reach someone for at least an hour to no avail. He had to leave without being able to do the job. When I called the next day, the customer service rep. denied there had been a phone problem. The job eventually got done, but with a lot of hassle. But, as I said before, my previous experiences have been great, so I have high hopes of something like this not happening again.

The AC system fan was not running. The air was hot and it was over 100 heat index. I called late in the evening and the AC repair company called me the next morning. I set an appointment and he diagnosed it and got an approval on the part and in no time my AC was working!! Turnaround time was great.

My dryer sounded like metal against metal so I called Choice and the same day an appt. was set up. The techs arrived the following week and had all the parts they needed to fix the problem and fixed it that day. It was the Sears Blue Crew and they were very professional and polite. Thanks Choice.

My AC broke about a month after I got my warranty. The tech they sent out the first time did not fix the issue, and we couldn't get him to come back out, probably because he was located an hour away. Finally got another tech out. They denied the claim due to "equipment was not properly maintained." Although I have only been in my house 7 months. Not happy at this point.

I read some of the reviews on CHW and it looked like a good deal so I signed up. The next day I had more time and read more reviews and more information into their policy. I decided I did not want the policy so I emailed to have it cancelled. I received a phone call from Nathan who advised me they would offer me a free service call if I did not cancel. I told him I still wanted to cancel and he got very ugly with me, saying the weirdest stuff to try to get me to stay. Well two weeks have gone by and they processed the policy despite my wishes. I called to cancel again and they hung up on me. The third time I called they said they would cancel but asked what they could do to get me to stay. Um.... I cancelled my policy already. You processed it and charged my CC despite my wishes and you want me to "stay" with you?? Um no!

A/C went out on a Saturday. I reported on Monday (which is bad on me as could have done so on Saturday as 24/7 availability) and immediately received response from Choice Warranty. Repair tech came on Wednesday & found problem. It took another 7 days to finalize (I understand I was put at back of work as I had put window unit in to cool until repaired & they took others in front). Not really happy with the 7 days on A/C firm but work was good and professional. In any transaction, the real answer is would you do it again and I would take the Choice Warranty again so therefore recommend them. They did their part and paid as contracted. What more should anyone expect.

This is the first time I ever had a home warranty plan. Probably because it's my first time owning a home. Most of my neighbors have Choice Home Warranty. So I decided to get the plan. I have no regrets so far and will recommend them to others. Each department from sales to customer service to the company that they sent out has been outstanding, courteous and kind. The company that did the repairs on our A/C was Just Cooling and that got it right the first time. Keep up the good work!

At the first part of the claim, I had an issue because the rep said my claim was pre-existing because I had only had coverage for a few days. I asked what the 30-day waiting policy was for and that obviously, the condition could not have been pre-existing at the time I took out the coverage, which was over 30 days prior to the claim. They reconsidered and covered the claim and I was one happy customer. Thanks!

I had a plumbing issue and went online to submit a claim with CHW. It was a very easy process and I received an email stating my claim had been received. The following day, it was assigned to an authorized company for repair. I was very please when I received an email from CHW with the name and phone number of the company with instructions to call and set an appointment. The company came out in a timely manner and did a perfect job on the repair. I was very pleased with the experience.

Choice was very responsive in setting up my repair call. The first company they set me up with called me and said they don't do my city. Choice got another company set up the next day after I called them. The only negative was the company that was recommended had very poor customer service. They never once called me, I had to call them and a simple repair that their own technician told me would take 1 day took about a week. Mind you we live in Dallas, TX and the temperature was over 100 degrees. My family was sleeping downstairs in the living room on the floor.
The name of the company is ACAR in Dallas Texas and I hope Choice never recommends them for me ever again.

The repairman came Monday afternoon after we reported to Choice on Friday. He determined a motor was needed on the blower and came back Tuesday with the motor. He installed it and took about 6 hours all total. It is working now!!! The repairman was knowledgeable and very nice.

We've had Choice Home Warranty insurance for about 3 years and have only used it twice. Once for a plumbing problem that they never resolved, we had to hire a plumber ourself to get it fixed as the tech they sent was an air conditioning tech that didn't even have tools for plumbing. He had to go and rent them from home depot and the other time was this week for an AC issue and this time they wouldn't cover the repair because they said we didn't have the unit serviced in the past even though we have. If you're thinking of getting home repair insurance I would look for another company. These people just take your money and don't fix anything.

The motor on my pool pump failed recently. Within hours of submitting my claim, I was contacted by a representative from the pool company assigned by CHW. The pool company sent a technician to diagnose the issue and it was determined that the pump motor would need to be replaced. My motor was an inefficient single speed motor which CHW was going to replace in accordance with the contract. After a brief discussion with CHW, I was approved to get the credit for my single speed pump motor to apply toward the installation of a more efficient pump. I was able to choose a more efficient and more reliable variable speed pump motor and only had to pay the difference between the two. Being able to choose a more reliable motor reduces cost for both me and CHW in the long run. Thanks for the outstanding service!

Superior Services provided a prompt, courteous and professional service when the blower motor failed and filled the house with smoke in the middle of the night. Andy arrived in mid morning, quickly diagnosed the problem, made the repairs, found additional problems for which he needed to secure replacement parts and returned later in the day to complete the repairs. Once finished the air conditioner worked better than it had since it was new. I highly recommend Choice and Superior Services.

My first experience with Choice. We are off to a great start! Sam from Power One Electric repaired the issue. Excellent service and price. Probably important to point out that the service call is less than most other warranty companies. Also important to point out that Choice did a very good job of follow up in making sure the sub called and scheduled appointment. And lastly, home warranty companies are only as good as the contractors they use. Power One was very good! I hope they are indicative of all the subs they use.

Water heater at our home went out of order. Choice Home warranty helped me to get the issue resolved as a courtesy to help the customer which was very nice of them. There was a leak in water tank which was not covered under the policy but the specialist help me to resolve the issue.

Summer in Las Vegas, AC goes out Friday. Choice sends someone on Monday even though our father is elderly. Technicians go on the roof to determine the AC unit over-amped and burned a capacitor. They want to replace the whole unit. Choice denies the repair, saying it was due to lack of maintenance which isn't true, the units were maintained and cleaned last year. Don't bother with Choice Home Warranty, they will leave an elderly guy in the heat for 3 days and deny coverage to cover their bottom end. Typical scumbag company.
We cancelled them and will be notifying local news agencies about their shady business practices and notifying the BBB and everyone else we can think of. Thanks Choice for leaving an elderly veteran without AC for 3 days in the middle of a Vegas summer and weaseling out of a repair job to save your bottom end! Avoid Choice - if a big repair is needed, they will blatantly lie to avoid fulfilling their contractual obligations.

My mother's AC went out yesterday. I called Choice and they assigned a technician immediately. I was able to connect with Ronald, directly who is the owner. When I mentioned that my mother was elderly, Ronald and his technician, I believe by the name of Bobby, went out of their way to get to my mother's house within an hour! Our garbage disposal leaked. I called it in early evening and was surprised somebody answered my call and was able to send me a claim number and contact information of the plumbing company. The scheduling was easy and quick. The technician came to our house with ready to install unit and change our garbage disposal in less than 20 minutes. Fast service. I'm glad I chose Choice Warranty.

My downstairs A/C had no cool air came out at night. I called Choice and they arrange the technician right away. I thought it would be at least two days to fix it, but right after I contact the service provider Irish Air trying to make appointment, they said they were in my area and will be arrived my home within 30 minutes. They came and replaced the broken part and checked the whole system, the whole job done within 45 minutes. I had experiences with 3 other home warranty company and Choice is the best one.

The first company Choice sent out to my house to work on AC, ISDan, banged on the AC for hours and tried to tell me just a part was bent, bent it back, and that worked for all of 3 days at which time the AC unit was completely stalled and non-operational. I discussed my frustrations with Choice and they re-assigned Homeland Heating & Air and they did a great job replacing a part and getting the unit to optimal performance again.

I'm a homeowner and have two other rental properties that are also covered with Choice Home Warranty. This is my first claim with Choice as the A/C unit stop to blow out cool air. I called the CHW and they did sent a technician after three days to diagnose the issue. Technician told the compressor is gone and needs to be replaced. Technician was professional enough to answer my questions and seems to be a real nice person.
I have been following for the past three days with CHW and every time I call the representative says Claims Supervisor will call and no one returns the call. Yesterday when called a customer service supervisor offered to pay $400 to cover up the cost in lieu of fixing the problem. The cost to replace a A/C condenser with labor runs about $3500 (5 ton with heat pump) and up so don't know what is CHW thinking about offering to the customer which won't even pay for the labor.
The customer service supervisor (Mark) told the I'll be getting a call from Claims supervisor before the end of the day which never happened. This is Texas and the temperature is already in the three digit numbers. At this time I'm canceling and getting the refund on all of my three policies. CHW is the worst home warranty company that I have dealt with. Now I know the real reason as why their premiums are low compared to the industry standards as they just don't want to pay. Moreover others who I talked to have the same opinion about CHW. I'll be getting my refund as I can't wait any longer.

First off some facts: I have only owned this home for a few years, it is newer and built in 1997. The furnace inside is the original, but the outdoor A/C compressor is much newer and was installed in 2005 according to the dates on the plate. I have NO RECORDS to show what was or wasn't maintained when I entered into a legal contract with Choice Home to have these items included as-is - no inspection requires as Home Choices AD's tout. My Realtor bought me my Home Warranty as part of the home deal.
On July 4th, 2015 my 10-year old outdoor PAYNE Central AIR went on the fritz. I called the Choice Home 24 hr center and made a claim Sat. 07/04/2015 at around 6 PM. Come to find out that the claim adjusters are usually only assigning repair companies M-F, but I digress. My claim went unassigned and all my calls to escalate the case went unanswered. I am disabled and have Asthma and terrible Allergies, so opening windows and putting fans in them for air, on our 97 degree heat, just wasn't going to work.
I called for 5 days straight asking them to send out an approved Choice Home HVAC TECH when finally a CSR at Choice Home said, "At this point and after 3 days of no response by our claims adjuster because they are so busy, just call any licensed HVAC tech in your area and we will cover it." So on Wednesday, July 8th I had Heat Relief, a local HVAC company come out. They repaired the unit and had it fully functional in 15 minutes - seems the compressor start capacitor and the start kit serving the capacitor got warm and failed. My contractor said this is getting to be over 10 years old and has old R-22 in it so he thought it ought to be replaced. I'm a retired Electronics tech, so I stayed outside with him during the disassembly and install and test of the unit.
Other than throwing in and testing the new parts, the HVAC tech showed me the amperages on the compressor and fan lines, they were fine, but on the high side, which is perfectly normal wear and tear on a Central Air compressor. His results were showing on the compressor line amp draw at 18.5 amp (Payne's recommended between 14-20 amps) so it's within safe factory specifications. The HVAC tech tried to sell me a new one, stating that this will indeed go out again, just due to its age.
I mentioned my Choice Home Warranty to my HVAC contractor and said that Choice Home said it could be repaired first, or if it can't be fixed, replaced. I asked him if he would accurately relay his findings and the fact that he has it now working fine under the repair clause. In any case, he did the diagnostic and repair for a tune of $545.00. But before authorizing that amount, per Choice Home’s own direction, my HVAC tech needed to call a specially provided number and punch #5 to get directly into an adjuster who would okay the repair or replacement.
My HVAC tech (who barely spoke English) tried his best to relay the information to the very rude Choice Home adjuster with a strong New York, but who when pressed multiple times for his name, told me "you don't need that." After seeing that there was some communications problems with my HVAC tech and the adjuster, the tech handed me the phone and I reiterated what was needed and what parts the tech installed to get the system working okay. The adjuster then told my HVAC tech to go outside “without the customer present” and use his (the tech’s) smartphone and take multiple pictures of the unit, the pad, etc. of the PAYNE A/C unit outside and text them to a special pictures only line hotline Choice Home has.
Those pictures showed a very clean pad and area, showing a well maintained, working all without any weeds around it (I maintain it almost monthly by clearing out the fins, weeding and keeping it clean, opened to fresh air). The Claims adjuster hung up and even before the HVAC tech was packing up called me back to have me call the Claims unit. Immediately I was given a blanket read denial that the unit was old and had NOT been properly maintained and so that removes Choice Home liability on repairing or replacing it.
I was arbitrarily denied. I have heard of other Choice Home Warranty customers who get arbitrarily denied based on zero facts, whenever the customer hires their own technicians and IS NOT patient for Choice Home to call their preferred repair people. Besides maintaining it per Choice Home’s own maintenance plan for the homeowner, within their published suggestions as printed on both the Choice Home site and in our printed contracts, it should also be noted that the unit has not been subjected to any harsh working conditions. In Oregon, we don't normally use A/C because of the mild temperatures in Portland. June was just unusually hot, 90-97 degree avg range.
Besides all the work I do (and my yard guys do) to keep it pristine, weed and pine needle free, I have also had 3 HVAC companies out for either repairs of the air handler fan or furnace at least three times since I purchased the home a few years back. Sundance HVAC and Northwest Natural Gas has both come out and accomplished a complete system service. The latest being December 2014, less than 7 months ago.
I have offered what documentation I could find on those system checks and repairs and sent them to Choice Home and they still refuse to cover the repair. I was also told by other ex Choice Home customers that if you have requested multiple services for a repair or replacement to other items in your house, as is my case when my 7-year old Whirlpool washing machine's transmission died and would cost more than a new unit. Their Home Choice repairmen said it was a total and later, about 35 days without a properly working washer, I received a check for in the $200 range towards a new washer, minus my $45 claim fee. Here it is 07/16 and Choice Home Warranty still denies they have any liability.

I just join Choice Home Warranty from American Home Shield and they was a little less in price and I file a claim and they (Choice Home Warranty) lied and stated my STOVE WASN'T covered... I should have stayed with my other company, but trying to save a dollar this is what I get. And I will not refer Choice Home Warranty to NO ONE. THEY LIE JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY AND PUT YOU IN A CONTRACT. They are rude. I hate I chose them!!!

I'm a homeowner and was having problem with my central A/C unit not putting out cool air on Monday, July 13, 2015. I called CHW and gave a claim to claim department, it was taken and was assigned to a company for repair. I called the company that it was assigned to and was given a next day appointment but instead I was called back in about four hours and the tech was heading to my home for repair. Tech came and put in R-22 and it has been cooling without any problem. CHW was quick assigning the order and the problem was addressed right away. Customer service was excellent.

I called Tuesday morning and by Tuesday evening, our AC was working again. Thanks so much for the prompt service. When I purchased the warranty, I took advantage of a special promotion, and the service call which normally would have been $45.00 or more was free, and I didn't have to remind Customer Service about the deal - they brought it up first. I am new to Choice and it has been an easy and pleasant experience. I've had 2 claims since joining. I have the pool option and couldn't be more pleased with the ease and expediency of how my claims were handled. I had a repair tech on property within 5 hours of making my first claim and the repair tech was notified on the weekend for my second repair and made me his first stop on Tuesday. I have three long term policies with Choice and I'm getting ready to recommend to my property manager who handles over 100 other properties. I believe that Choice Home Warranty is the company that is positioned to set the new standard on how quality home repair warranty should work.

After getting a claim number I called the CHW recommended service provider who set an appointment, arrived on time, evaluated the situation, called CHW to get authorization to replace the unit (which was granted), and had an installer come within a week to do the replacing. At that time, I phoned the service provider for an upgrade to solve another problem and it was completed a week later on my dime.

My air conditioner went out on a Friday afternoon, so I called Choice Home Warranty. First impressions were good... The contractor called me within an hour. He said he couldn't get out that day and with the weekend coming, the earliest he could make an appointment was Monday at 9 AM. I agreed. The contractor was Reliable services. Never heard of this guy and couldn't find him in the local phone book. I was nervous, thinking he was a fly by night type of repairman hired by these home warranty people to get the lowest price available.
Monday came and no show. I called his number - no answer. I called Choice, who called him. He called me back about 10:30 saying that the appointment was for 11. I put this down to miscommunication. He showed up at 11:20. After he determined that either the compressor or condenser were inop, he told me I would have to pay him $1000 upfront, because Choice was always late paying their contractors and he couldn't afford to carry that debt. I knew then that something was amiss. Guy said he would call me that afternoon after he gets approval from Choice and he would plan on installation on Wednesday.
It's now Wednesday. Neither I, nor Choice, has heard from the guy. After EIGHT messages to Choice's "claim specialists" and FOUR phone conversations with "claim specialists", all I can get out of them is "...waiting for Reliable to submit diagnosis." Meanwhile, I sit without my air conditioner in Texas 90+ temperatures. Contrary to their advertisements and statements on their websites, I have found their claim specialists to be unconcerned, short, and not very helpful. I hate to look forward to calling the home office and work my way up the corporate ladder until I find someone who can help me.
I'm disappointed and angry because Choice does not live up to their advertisements. By the way, I noticed that their 5 star rating is gathered from 2500 of the 4600 reviews submitted. That means only HALF had a good experience. To me, that's false and deceptive advertising. I'll probably cancel with them at the end of my contract period or whenever the A/C guy ever shows up, whichever comes first!

My garbage disposal was leaking out of the bottom of the case. It happened on the weekend. My call was taken by Choice Home Warranty late Saturday afternoon. I got a callback with service provider information on Sunday morning. By noontime Monday I had a brand new garbage disposal installed. Fantastic service from Choice. When called upon to do repairs, they are fine. However, if parts are not available, they DO NOT replace the item like they tell you that they will. They only pay you the repair costs even if the item cannot be repaired. The sales people lie and tell you to pay extra for a "No Cap" policy so that they will replace the items with comparable items. But, when it happens, they claim that they only have reimburse you for repair costs. For a double oven that is $2750 plus installation costs, they paid $500. When a top of the line Maytag dryer went out and the part was not available, they paid $400. Their salespeople will tell you all kinds of lies to sell a policy. Buyer BEWARE!!!

The outdoor unit of my air conditioning went out on a Saturday afternoon. Called CHW and they were quick to set up a claim and assigned Get Cool A/C & Heating to my account. Get Cool couldn't get out there until Monday morning but that was ok because it was fairly temperate weather. Glad it happened when it did instead of the heat of a Texas summer. My air conditioner went out on a Thursday and because of a service provider not being available it was the following Tuesday before it was up and running again. This is a long-time and I feel it is precipitated by the lack of providers willing to participate as servicers under your dispatch which takes away much of the convenience and value of your warranty service. The service providers are from a far distance where, if more local providers were available, the value of your warranty is enhanced.

Laneisha was very helpful and so was the gentleman who called me about the repair of my dishwasher from Choice. However, I was NOT impressed with Alvic Appliance and will definitely NEVER use them. I hope you have another appliance company. The service charge is $45 and I asked the technician, Richard, if they accepted credit cards. He replied "Yes". So, I wanted to put the charge on my VISA. He called it into his boss, the owner of Alvic, and was told to charge me a service fee of $4.00 to put it on my CC. So, I was charged $49 for a $45 service fee. He did not discuss it with me or even tell me about it until I asked for a receipt and saw the charge. I immediately told him to call his boss back and reverse the charge and I paid by check. That was very POOR business on his boss's part. I will tell all my friends and Realtor Associates NOT to use this company.

The company recommended by CHW was no longer doing business with the warranty company, so I used a pool repair company that I had used in the past. CHW was extremely accommodating and were very good about checking up on the repair process. All of the people I spoke to on the phone were polite and helpful. My dishwasher was not getting water and so the appliance guy came out. He changed a valve but it still didn't work. Then he said that I needed a plumber because the pipe leading to the dishwasher was shutting off. So a plumber came out and fixed it. I only had to pay one time and everything was taken care of.

My garage door would go down and close, but would not open. The day after I filed my claim, a contractor came by and diagnosed that the gear mechanism had broken and the garage door opener needed replaced. He talked with the Choice representative and shortly thereafter returned and replaced the garage door opener. It took a little while before we were able to get in touch with the contractor (Called Choice that morning. Spoke with them in the late afternoon/early evening) but once we did, we were able to schedule an appointment. He wasn't able to fix the problem right away as he had to go get the parts and come back the next day. The repair was very quick and the A/C has been working fine since.

I was disappointed that the problem could just be fixed if the repairman could have just looked, he would have seen the leak, which he then could have fixed the leak. This leak test required EYES!! Instead he took a pic of where it MAY be and then left, leaving me with no a/c, and 3 days after I called I still had no a/c. I AM IN LAS VEGAS!! 110 Temp, called some else, they came and fixed in the same day. They used their EYES as a leak test. Your response of contributing to this cost was appreciated.

We have only been with CHW for a few weeks. We had a leak in our shower caused by the valve and they refuse to send anyone out. It doesn't seem to matter that it is covered in our contract. They keep trying to tell us that because the valve is controlled by the faucet, it isn't covered. They basically are using it as an out and now I have to pay a plumber to come fix it. Guess we'll be finding a new warranty company.

I am very upset with the runaround I was subjected to trying to get work performed stopping this leak. There seems to be a problem Choice has getting techs to accept jobs on manufactured homes in Indian River County, Florida!!? This makes no sense to me as there are numerous manufactured home parks in this area. I was told Bobbies plumbing would be assigned, but Bobbies said they advised Choice that they do not work on manufactured homes. I called back to Choice and was again told Bobbies would come do the work; again Bobbies refused the job. There are numerous plumbing concerns in this County but Choice cannot get any of them to work on manufactured home pipe leaks!??
I will say finally Choice got Artistry LLC to come down from Brevard County (45 miles away). They performed the work and did a good job. I was told the worker was not supposed to do work in Indian River County and came only because Choice begged him to fix my problem for which I am grateful! I do think Choice should work out this conflict with local plumbers, so that there are no long delays and problems getting plumbers out to fix such problems. I would like to be advised of Choice's remedy for this; when and if it is accomplished. Thank You.

Worse place I have ever dealt with. Tech was stupid and didn't show up three different times after I took off work and waited for him. He never called or nothing. Took three weeks to have somebody come out to my house in 100 degree weather with no A/C so they can tell me "We are going to fix that because it has a spot of rust on your ac unit." Have another house with ac problem. They came out and said, "It got struck by lighting. We are not fixing that house either." Not one burn mark anywhere in sight. We paid $45 to have a guy look at our AC. The warranty wouldn't cover it because they felt it was pre-existing -- a hole in the AC unit. Not sure how that can be pre-existing! Excuses to take your money and not cover you. Then we cancelled and they refuse to prorate our monthly payment we just paid even though their booklet said you get a prorated refund if cancelled after 30 days. They cover nothing!! Waste of money and time! You are on hold for a long time too. Awful, awful company!!!

The online system was easy to use and I received an email confirmation immediately. I received the name of the service provider within an hour of submitting my request. The service provider answered immediately upon the start of business hours and was able to come that morning. The provider was friendly and knowledgeable and completed the repair promptly. I had a competing home warranty company for 6 years, and CHW offered to beat them on pricing by a considerable amount. Made the switch and now regret it as they denied an A/C claim due to "non-maintenance" of the unit. The old warranty company always serviced and never denied a single claim in 6 years. Stay away from this fraud of a company.

My husband and I purchased a home warranty two years ago with them. In the two years we have had them come out twice for repairs. The total repair cost for the two times equaled 1000, this was told to me by customer service themselves. We spend over 50 a month for our home warranty. This morning a technician came to our home to repair our Kenmore front loading dryer (the kind that sets on the pedestal drawer) and told us that they could not repair it, to call the warranty company to let them know. We were told by the warranty company they would only provide 300 because they found a dryer for 299. I had them send me the link showing the dryer. The dryer was a small, older standard dryer that would not fit our family. I also have to wait for 30 days in order to get the money. I am very dissatisfied that I pay a fee every month and now have to spend money on a dryer. That is not why I purchased a home warranty.

I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by Choice Home Warranty. A lot of comments I read about home warranty companies made me very fearful of being scammed. I was hesitant to sign up for a service like this where there are so many claims of failure to deliver services. So I did my research. With the high ratings that Choice Home Warranty received it made my top 3 list.
To date I have had one claim and it has been problematic but it is not their fault. Manufacturers practicing "just-in-time" production schedules actually wait until certain parts are ordered before they even build them. So my repair, which required an entire new motherboard controller, is taking some time. But it's only because of manufacturer delays. CHW has been great and so has the service company they assigned, Major Appliance Repair, on Bell Road in Phoenix, AZ.
I plan on renewing for as long as I own my home.

My air conditioning unit stopped working about a month ago. It was extremely hot and humid and incidentally, I was terribly ill with an. I called the heat and air business with Choice. Within approximately three to four hours, the heat and air employee arrived and replaced the capacitor within ten minutes. My air conditioner is working as good as new and keeps me nice and cool. Thank you for your promptness and excellent work.

I have been with Choice for three years and I've received nothing but the best service from the people at Choice. My suggestion for improvement is for Choice to be more selective in the choice of contractors. For the most part they are OK, however, once in a while you run into one who leaves a lot to be desired. I also have a contract on another property and I will be renewing both very soon.

These people make up reasons to not pay for a claim. They send out companies that try to mark up repairs and report false problems. I called them for an AC unit that was not working. They sent LOCKE AC repair on APR 22 2015. The company said I had a loose wire on the condenser outside and he checked the 401a and added less than a pound. In and out 20 minutes. AC goes out again 22 June, they send out American AC. This time he tested and said he found a leak in the evaporator coil in the attic. I should call CHOICE to see when they will allow the evaporator coil to be ordered.
I called the next day and CHOICE said they have not heard from American. American came out 26 Jun 2015 to at least put in some 401a so we have AC for the weekend. This is Texas Summer heat. When this American Tech came out he said the evaporator coil was leaking and the condenser coil and he put nothing in the system. I called CHOICE and they no denied paying the claim calling it a pre-existing leak.
This said I called my company AC Doctors out and they showed a catastrophic failure to the condenser coil and after a 4-hour pressure test showed no leak on the evaporator whatsoever. I saw where the leak caused a large oil spill on the cement that could be notice in low light or with a flashlight. They replaced the evaporator coil (under warranty no cost for coil) and charged me for a refill of 401A and repair cost.
I called CHOICE again explained that their technician in April saw no leak, their technician in June tried to repair the wrong coil and both reported replacing 6 pounds 401A each without seeing any leak on the condenser (the leak was above the fill spout on the coil). This proves that no pre-existing leak existed and their techs ripped them off and tried again with replacing both coils. I was actually saving them money! They said send the repair receipts and they will look.
First email they denied getting so I resent. Second they denied so I resent. It was the third time they acknowledged receiving. I sent all documents and a picture of the leak. They still called it pre-existing and denied it. I spoke with the manager, twice, same thing. But he was quick to help me cancel my membership. Stay far away from this rip off company.

We had prompt and courteous service. We had 2 of our burner switches replaced. It works wonderful now. I think we need the other 2 replaced as well but that will be another time. The service was efficient and quick. We would highly recommend Choice for home warranty.

My AC was completely down. Choice Home Warranty reply less than 2 min. after I call on the 5th of July, a holiday weekend. A technician from SP Mechanical Services reply the same day and my AC system was back in service in less than 12 hours. Thanks C.H.W. & Steve from SP Mechanical Services.

My A/C was making a loud noise. It was still blowing cold air, but I was concerned. I called Choice and they agreed to send someone out to look at it. The technician came the next morning and as soon as he heard it he knew the problem. Bad bearings in the motor. He replaced the motor for the $45 service charge, probably saving me several hundred dollars. I was happy it was fixed as I am going out of town and my dogs will be in the house alone, and now cool for sure. Thanks Choice for being prompt and having good techs.

When I called the customer service line the rep was very helpful in my response to my needs. My garbage disposal was leaking and there was a leaky valve in the area of the dishwasher. Two work orders were submitted. At that time I asked the rep "If the one company could do the required work on both items would there only be one service fee?" and she responded that if that could be done only one service fee would be required. The company that was dispatched for the disposal contacted me and set up a time when they could come out work orders. Found that the dishwasher problem was just a valve problem so they received approval to repair but a new order was done and wanted to charge me for 2 service tickets. After several minutes to Choice the second service fee was waived. I was very pleased.

The only inconvenience, the technician showed up the wrong day. I had to leave work but it was an honest mistake. The problem was fix the same day. The technician was professional, courteous and patient. (I was a little frustrated).

I have had other experiences with other home warranty companies and Choice is by far the best. Every time I've called them, someone picks up right away, asks a few questions, and I'm set up. Easy. No worries. I even called on July 4th and input a claim. That is impressive.

I had to call on a Friday about 5pm about an AC that wasn't working in 108 degree heat in S. Nevada. I was assigned a claim number and provided with a company to call in my area with that claim number. Unfortunately, it was after hours on a Friday evening and they could not help me until the following Monday. Monday arrived and the company diagnosed the problem, did a temporary fix on the AC and received approval from CHW and the part was replaced for a permanent fix on Tuesday morning by 8:30 am. The only cost to me was the service call expense. Yea, thank you so much, I am cool again. It was a very uncomfortable weekend though and I did not have any place to stay. Toughed it out in 93 degree heat in my home. Whew, glad to be cool again!

Our oven was in locked position and oven could not be turned on. After calling Choice Warranty, we had fast call back from major appliance service co. Within a few days we heard from Choice Warranty that it couldn't be fixed and we were sent a check for $366. We bought a new stove and we are happy.

I called last week to get service on one of my units because it wasn't cooling my house adequately. I received a call back immediately, my call was dispatched and the service man was at my home the next day and serviced my unit for just a service fee of $45. I was quoted $400 by another air conditioning company that had been referred to me outside of my warranty company. I am a Senior Citizen and this was most appreciated by me that I wasn't told something outrageous with an outrageous cost for repairs.

Repairman showed up on time, ordered part. He came back that night at 900pm. Installed the part. My wife came home. The ac was on. We were thrilled.
