    Had plumbing problems so called CHW and they scheduled a plumber to come out. It still did not take care of the problem so CHW sent the plumber out again. It seemed to fix it but only for a couple of days so they sent out a different plumber and it was our septic tank and the line going into the septic tank. CHW took care of it and all is good again.

    I had a non-functioning thermostat with a non-functioning ceiling light overhead. I contacted CHW and they assigned an electrician. Over the phone he concluded that they were separate issues, so I explained it to CHW and they assigned an AC repair service as well.     I had Choice send 2 techs to my house 2 different times... 1st one couldn't diagnose anything. 2nd one said bad fan motor. Replaced fan at 8:30 at night!!! Also guy was driven to my house in a Nissan Sentra - not even driving himself - also neither tech had uniform or introduced themselves as AC techs. Could not get AC working. Said bad board. He did not even call in new repair the next day & was MIA even for Choice. I run a business out of my home & was dead in the water for 6 days.

    I finally got referred an HVAC tech from a friend. I called him at 2:00, he was out to my house by 6:00 & within 5 minutes had my AC up & running. The reason the AC would not work for prior tech was AC unit door was not put back on correctly so safety switch would not let unit come on... REALLY... AN HVAC TECH COULD NOT REPLACE DOOR TO UNIT???!!! He also used to work for a home warranty company & told me stories you would not believe. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - these guys are crooks. I have no idea where they find these guys that call themselves HVAC techs-really, WORST EXPERIENCE OF SERVICE IN MY LIFE!!

    Moved into newly purchased home and within two weeks, we had 2 issues that didn't come up during home inspection or appraisal. Our oven would quit working once on and show error codes and the 2nd issue was a leak from our main room bathtub. We contacted Choice and immediately they put us in contact with the contractors who would ultimately visit our house to assess the situation. The oven needed a part and Choice followed up after they approved the repair and the contractor returned within a week to fix. No issues since.

    Concerning the leak, the contractor showed up and turned out to be bad sealing on the bathtub overflow. He repaired the seal and fixed the problem right there on the spot. Being a skeptic on the whole home warranty from the beginning, I can say that so far we have received excellent service and two small but immediate problems with our 1st home, were taken care of.

    I've had this warranty for over a year. The very first time I made a claim about my garbage disposal they tried to come up with every bogus excuse to not pay for the claim. I recently made a claim about my AC. They tried to tell me both units had the same problem and weren't covered. Then they said it was old and couldn't be covered. They are a slimy grimy company that will take your premium every month and leave you hanging when you make a claim so buyer beware.

    I used to have AHS Home Warranty and after years of frustration, I decided to change our home warranty. This time, I did my research and found Choice Home Warranty to be the "highest" rated of all home warranty companies. I, immediately, called and changed companies. My home warranty dropped from $57.33 a month, and $75 per house call for any home warranty issue, to $38 a month, and $45 per house call with Choice.

    My first experience with Choice Home Warranty has been EXCELLENT. It is spring, and of course, our A/C unit began having issues. My husband called and someone immediately picked up and listened to the issues we were having with our A/C. With AHS, I would be on the phone for 45 mins waiting for a representative, no joke, and by the time they answered, I was furious! The NEXT DAY, we received a phone call from the A/C company contracted out by Choice, and had an appt for that afternoon. I couldn't believe it. The company arrived on time, fixed the problem, was courteous, and I am just so unbelievably pleased. With AHS, I would have been waiting 48hrs for someone to call, prior to making the appt, which would have been sometime next week, and much of the time the issue was never fixed.     I purchased a 3 year home warranty in October 2014. No issues until this spring. Turned on the air conditioner. Worked fine for a couple days then quit. I called and they sent somebody out quickly. The technician said even though it was very normal wear and tear, the A coil WAS NOT covered because of rust.     I had problem with my Furnace. I have 3 year deal with Choice Home so I called them. The guy came, I made him easy that I know my gas valve bad. He confirmed that and walked out. Charged me $45. In few minutes, Choice Home called me that they can't cover that. So I had to buy a gas valve and install myself - cost me another $120. Now, it is working like a Champ. Now my refrigerator is bad.     I wasn't sure if my issue would be covered or not, however, after calling and setting up my appointment and the plumber coming right on time (actually was able to make it a little early)... I was pleased to find that my issue was covered and it truly only cost me the small service fee. My bathtub had backed up and it was the most disgusting thing I've seen... black sludge filling my tub... Next thing I knew, it was then backing up into the adjacent bathroom tub as well.     This is by far the worst warranty company. If you pay attention to the coverage, they don't cover anything that can actually go wrong with the appliances or the system that you need them to cover. By the way, if you call and get the cancellation department that gets more interesting because they treat you like it is a break up and you are the worst thing on the planet and will not even ask why you are leaving the company. But they will not hesitate to slap that 50 dollar cancellation fee on the account even though you are "under no contracts or obligations" as the salesperson stated.

    By the way, the guy in the cancellation department told me he was a supervisor and the only people above of was the board of directors (which I find hard to believe). I then looked a little closer into the company after I had already paid my money (don't do it by the way... too good to be true), they are not even BBB accredited and they take pride in that. Then I looked on here and seen that all bad reviews about this company are grayed out which sounds weird as well, but oh well, I will post everywhere else too.

    On 22 April 2015 submitted a claim to Choice Home Warranty for work on a clogged main sewer line at my residence. Needed to have the work done as soon as possible since we couldn't use our bathroom or the shower. Choice Warranty provided a name for a contractor but couldn't schedule me until the next day. I immediately called Choice Warranty and informed them that I couldn't wait and that I had to call a local plumber to do the work as soon as possible. Choice Warranty informed me that I could file a claim to get reimbursed. The sewer line was cleared about an hour later and I filed the reimbursement claim with Choice Warranty.     Oven went out Thursday, called filed a claim same day. Tech called next day and arrived two hours later. He said he has the part and would be back on Monday. Didn’t go to work to wait for tech who never showed up. I called mid afternoon and lady said Tuesday between 1-5pm. Tech called 1250 pm to tell me he doesn't have the part even though he said he did last Friday. Called CHW they said to stick with them b/c parts are on order. I asked them to call the tech b/c I am not happy with their referral choice. 48 hours later (Thursday) I call the tech to verify he is coming to the house. He said no b/c CHW never called him. I called CHW and spoken with manager and he said he would call the regional manager and get it resolved and call me back in 30 mins.

    I called today (Friday at 10 am) to speak to another manager. He called the shop and they said it would be Monday between 1-5pm before he can come back. I was hot during this call. That manager took no blame and said it was due to the parts only and he did what he could. I could have called the freaking company and see if the parts were there. I was out of work for two days waiting on this tech and CHW never did what they said they would do. That is what pissed me off the most. I was mad at the Tech and their referral but after my first experience I am definitely upset at CHW. Can't see myself referring them to anyone I know and will seek for my full refund after this first and only experience!

    When I first called to report the claim there was a bit of confusion and I was sent an air conditioner repairman in the place of a plumber. I called choice, explained the error and a manager waived the deductible. Due to the fact it had already been met I was unable to get anyone to come out on sat or sun however they did come on Monday again. There was a bit of a mix up, the plumber said the claim was approved but the customer service person was arguing with me that it was declined. I could not talk to her, she would not let me explain and was talking over me. I requested to speak to a manager and he apologised for his employee and that he would counsel her. I did have to pay for what was not cover. The technicians were great and so was the service. They even gave me a discount.
