The plumber dispatched to service my claim was extremely unorganized and provided horrible customer service. Choice service members diligently listened to my complaints and went above and beyond to have my issues resolved. Sadly they had to assign a new plumber, but happily they were awesome and we have hot water again.

The ice maker on our beautiful built in refrigerator stopped working. We had no idea why. It actually slowed down and we called you... It did make me worry as I had called in the evening and I didn't get anyone to answer but I called again in the am and the agent took care of me.. The company you sent was very professional and did find the problem. It had to be replaced and once again you did a great job of letting us know it would be taken care of... It was finally installed yesterday. It took about one week in total to fix the issue. I feel very satisfied with the service. Thank you and we will continue to recommend the company.

I had a sewer back up claim in my downstairs bathroom. I reported my claim and within 4 hours the service tech was at my door. They immediately assessed my damage, ** the process to me and contacted Choice. I received both a phone call and email confirmation of coverage. I did not expect such immediate response. The problem was corrected within the same day with a warranty! WOW.

I opened about 15 claims in last 2 years for my rental properties. Their technician will visit only to trap you. Tech will tell you this is not under coverage of CHW. If you can pay us that much money we will fix your problem. If you will refuse tech will report this issue is due to lack of maintenance so we CHW will not cover this. For one claim, he reported you not replaced AC filter on time so it's out of coverage. I will never go with CHW.

CHW was contacted on 3/20/15 regarding a problem I was having (garage door stop working). Four Season Garage Door company was contacted. Service man came out fixed my garage door. He was courteous, efficient and very professional with my repair. I will be recommending this company and CHW to all my neighbors/friends.

The tech came out. Said it was a bad part. Washer began to work. Later when I got home from work to do a test load it wouldn't spin. I called him back to let him know. He said he would call Choice about the warranty and let me know. The transmission was bad. They're replacing it!!! Hope to have it back tomorrow.

** from JB services came to my house to fix my dishwasher. Very professional. Took the time to explain what was wrong with the dishwasher and proceeded to fix it. If I ever have any problems with my appliances I would like him to be the one that comes to fix them.

I've had numerous problems with the vendors in competency & just money hungry. They're not committed to customer service. I spoke with Choice Home Warranty about my issues, and they immediately rectified the problem. I was given the opportunity to hire someone of my own, & be reimbursed up to $150.00. I thought that was fair & great customer service.

Choice Home Warranty Reps were very friendly and professional when reporting the claim. The technicians did not respond as fast as I would have liked because it was a refrigerator issue. It took several days to have someone come to my house. This was after contact 2 separate companies. The first company did not even return my call for 2 days.

Placing the service request could not have been easier. The technician promptly contacted me for an appointment. When he showed up, he was on time, polite and very professional. He had the part on his truck and my fridge fixed within an hour of arrival. Very satisfied.

Multiple claims denied - all high value- examples: ac, water heaters, breaker panels, etc. Breaker panels were denied due to the fault being age and corrosion. CHW stated that even though the breakers were 40 years old, they would be covered but "since corrosion is caused by moisture that should not have been present without a hole in the wall". I live in the Southeast, any idiot knows that it is a humid place, naturally, therefore we have moisture in the air that causes corrosion in panels. They said this is not possible that my tech was wrong. Upon calling back they said they are not techs, so they cannot review moisture issues so the claim would be denied. True con artists here! Circular arguments with no knowledge of issues. Want to get screwed? This is your company!

I have a Samsung refrigerator. It works well but all of a sudden there was a bad noise. I called Choice Home Warranty and they came to my rescue immediately. It was such a relief to have them. The repairman that was sent was fabulous. He was very concerned and very considerate. I recommended Choice to 5 people that live in my Association and they all signed up. Great service!!!

Dishwasher stopped working and called in the claim. I had a call within the hour to schedule a visit from the tech. After the visit the tech filed the claim and within the next day we had the claim resolved. Choice home warranty is very quick to respond, thank you!!

I called on Sunday evening and by Monday afternoon the electrical company was out. They were friendly and professional. They completed the work within a few hours. Also, Choice Warranty contacted me to follow up on the status of my claim. This is the second time I have had to make a claim, and both times I am completely satisfied.

I called for service as I had a leak coming from under the kitchen sink. The representative was very efficient and got my claim submitted immediately. I then received and email about 15 minutes later with the name of the plumber who would do the repairs. The plumber was here within a few hours and had my problem fixed right away.

I am very impressed with Choice Home Warranty. I was only a few days in with them and I had an issue that needed repair with a water heater. Not only did they get someone out quickly but the plumber had to follow back up because the problem needed further repair. CHW authorized it quickly and in a professional manner. All with great communication! Well done and look forward to having them as my home warranty!

My microwave went out and they could no longer get the parts for it. It was 10 years old. By being covered they gave me 180.00 towards a new one. I was grateful to have that coverage. Also my electric panel went out in the kitchen - all outlets. Seems it had something to do with my breaker box in the garage. I did not use one of Choice Home Warranty repair people. I just called an electrician for getting how this works and they still paid a portion for my repair. Once again I appreciate having the coverage. Being a single Mother it gives me peace of mind that I have help at the time I need it. Thank you Home Warranty Team. You are a blessing to me.

I purchased a homeowners contract. The first repairman visit was supposed to be no copayment. The repairman said he needed his $40 deductible. My wife paid it. I called up Choice Home Warranty. They said they can't do anything about it. A few months later I called about a fan that does not work. They told me it wasn't covered. It clearly states in my contract that it was covered. These people are crooks. Stay away from them. I was a customer of American Home Shield. Another company who were excellent. I am going back to them.

My air went out in my home on Friday night at about 10 pm. I tried to contact them by e-mail but was unable so I called the toll free number. To my surprise a service agent answered and told me she would get someone dispensed to my home. It surprised me that she had someone because I live in a rural area. I have unfortunately had to use the service twice for relatively minor issues. The process was fast and CHW assigned a licensed professional immediately. They then followed up with me to ensure that the contractors had contacted me to make an appointment. The whole process was painless. I will be renewing when this contract expires.

Our air conditioner began to blow warm air. We called choice to send a repair man. The air conditioner repair man diagnosed the problem, but told us that choice warranty usually denied replacement or repairs. Sure enough, choice denied our repair due to some kind of "small print" in our agreement. My husband and I had talked with their representatives 3 times prior to signing up with them. No one told us that the air conditioner might not be covered for repair or replacement if there was a grounding problem associated with the compressor. After a long conversation with ** , who said he was a manager for choice, we were suppose to receive a form to fill out and receive a 200.00 refund and cancel our warranty. 10 days later and we have not received such a form or refund.
These people are terrible. Do not trust this company. We paid 400.00 and were told we were out of luck getting our air conditioner fixed!!! As senior citizens who live on a pension, we of all people need protection for repairs. This company flat out lie to us. Now with 95 degree weather, we have no air and cannot afford to replace the unit. Thats to CHOICE WARRANTY. Please be very careful dealing with these untrustworthy people.

I have submitted two claims with Choice Home Warranty (garage door and garbage disposal repair) so far, and both times they have sent over extremely professional technicians. The repair personnel knew exactly what the problem was, were prepared with all of their replacement parts and were quick, efficient, courteous and professional. I left another home warranty company for Choice, as I was tired of fighting with them for coverage purposes and even if I did not utilize them over the course of the year, my service fee quickly climbed to a really high amount. Home Warranties are less expensive than the cost of major repairs, but you still want to keep the costs down as much as possible, and I believe Choice to be a great fit for me as far as price, customer service and the technicians they send out for repairs.

My name is **, due to a leak in the coil system, the AC unit at ** was not producing cool air. Choice warranty initially assigned the work order to Bennett and Sons (407) 703-4488. This company did not service the area. The work order was reassigned to TLC Indoor Air Services LLC (904) 292-0636. ** of TLC diagnosed a leak in the coil system due to normal usage wear and tear. Choice Warranty is taking the stance that due to rust and corrosion from coil leak, the AC coil failed, when the opposite is true as stated by the service technician. Due to the leak from normal usage wear and tear the rust and corrosion is a by-product. I have been a customer with Choice for more than two years. I have been denied three claims ** and now the current one **.
Choice is asserting the LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY in the contract when it does not pertain the cause of the AC coil failure. I will upload images from the technician and notes from his diagnosis soon as I received them via email.

I had my dishwasher stop working so I called Choice Home Warranty and they took my request promptly and assigned technician within hours. But since it was weekend, technician called me after 3 days and said will come on next day as he was busy. I told him to come on same day even if it is late hours. He said will try but didn't make it. I called Choice representative and they checked with him. Finally he came in evening next day around 8pm and said will have to replace few parts. Choice Home warranty called me next day and offer me buyout option since parts and labor were greater than repair. I had no choice other than to accept it. Was out with dishwasher for a week now... Would have liked to get it repaired...

I got online to try to submit a service request.... The website is not user friendly... I was not able to easily submit a request. However, upon calling the service center, a request was submitted and technician assigned promptly. This warranty is for one of our rental properties. By the time I contacted my tenant, they stated that they have already been contacted by the technician assigned and have an appointment set up to fix the problem. The technician showed the following day and rectified the issue. Both myself and my tenant are very happy....

My air conditioner broke. I put in a claim on Thursday. Choice sent out a local technician who was rude and wasn't able to figure out the issue until I googled it and told him what I found. He then told me my thermostat needed to be replaced and tried to give me the cheapest Honeywell thermostat you can find. It is $20.00 at Home Depot (I checked it). My thermostat came with my home and is a very nice touch screen model. Choice said it was not standard when it was and would not be covered. The technician who came then told me I would need to pay the difference, labor and drive time for him to go get the model I currently have. I called Choice and they said they wouldn't pay for him to go get the replacement model and I would have to pay out of pocket. The technician took his $45 and abruptly left without even putting mine back on the wall (it was hanging). It fell and broke. It is saturday, still no AC and now no thermostat.

My claim was handled quickly - from sending an email with the contact information for the repair company, to the follow-up. The repairman came within the service window specified and he had the needed parts with him. He was in and out within 45 minutes and my washer is running like new.

My dryer stopped working. Contacted Choice Home Warranty and they provided the name of the service co. It was easy to set up an appointment and I was able to get a next day appointment. They arrived on time and fixed the door switch. Dryer is working perfectly now.

I was only with Choice for about a month when my washer went out. At first Choice was on it and sent a repairman... I paid my deductible. Two repairs were done on washer. Then when repairman left, I ran a load and still had the same problem. The washer was not going into spin mode... I made Choice and repair service aware immediately. Later the repairman looked at it again and said he would have to call Whirlpool for advice. Then turns out, Choice denied my claim for further repair. I did tell Choice and the repairman I thought it was a timer issue. I tried to work with Choice and got nowhere! I cancelled my policy. Choice did nothing for me! I would not and do not recommend Choice. They can't help you with simple things so beware!!! Glad I found this out early!

Our 17-year old air conditioner compressor stopped working after own the home less than 6 months. Choice calls it "premature failure" because they think compressors should last 18 years (most A/C specialists disagree), so it is not considered failure under normal wear and tear, so they denied the claim. Our contract said nothing about premature failure, but they refuse to cover the claim. Their sales pitch says they cover your home no matter how old. Don't believe it!

Overall, I was pleased with Parker Brothers Plumbing. They called to tell me when they would be here. They introduced themselves upon arrival and got right to work. The one thing I was not completely pleased with was the job that was done on the toilet that needed a new flush valve/gasket. It's a very minor issue, but the technician did not adjust the chain on the new part and the toilet did not flush. I did not realize this until they had been gone for a while. I had to go in and adjust the chain myself. Other than that, I am pleased with the overall service.

Blake Heating and Air representative called me and set up an appointment time. The representative came to my house on time and assessed the problem correctly. He ordered the element that was needed for the oven. He told me they would be back to install the element as soon as it came in. Blake representative returned in a couple of days. He installed the element and the oven worked properly. The Blake representative did a good job in a short amount of time and he did the job properly.

I had thrown out food twice because the appliance would be cold one day and not cold the next. The Choice crew came in, diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective part and was on their way. Due to the cold weather and record breaking snow levels. It's difficult to rate the service rendered nor would it be fair to the Company. As I was watching TV, it and the light in the room went out. This was strange in that other lights in house were on. I then went to breaker box to determine if one had clicked off. That's when I called, after being assigned a rep, who I knew from previous experience, I knew job would be handled properly and professionally. However, the tech, determined it was a power company problem, water shorted some lines. He assisted in getting power company notified. They responded and solved problem. The tech followed up to see if all was OK and it was. While I hope I don't have other problems, I hope the assigned tech will be on all calls.

My pool pump had a bad leak. I called CHW, and told them what I saw. The man that answered the phone was very polite, and professional. My dryer stopped working (belt broke and needed new rollers). This is what the tech sent out told me. The technician seemed like a nice man but his age (looked to be in his late 70's and had problems standing up) and appearance (wore sweats) came to look at my dryer almost a week after I made the service request. He opened the dryer up looked at it and unplugged some of the electrical wires. He leaves after telling me it should be no problem to fix. Come to find out he reported over 10 problems and due to this exaggeration Choice Home Warranty denied the claim. I asked for my money back after they would not even listen to me. I have the tech on camera as well... Don't waste your money on this one.

I made a claim for the leaking on the main shut on/off water pipe in the garage on Friday, CHW assigned the plumbing company name of Commercial Development and maintenance Service. They schedule the service the next Monday between 2 - 5pm, because they are not open on the weekend. When come in the tech only took 30 second, and collect 45.00 deductible by cash or debit card (they do not accept check or credit card).
Something is fishy, and told me that they will call to schedule the service Tuesday or Wednesday. On Tuesday morning I got a call from CHW warranty, the operator told me that the plumbing is not cover by the policy, therefore they are not going to fix it. Why is it being selective on the service? It is the scheme of the warranty company just to get you to buy the policy and when it comes to fixing it they will wash their hand, in my case, I was sucker in to buy 3 year policy, just to have a peace of mind that plumbing, appliance(s), electrical etc will be cover when it's needed. Called 3/12/15, was told to wait for an email contact, no response as of 3/13/15. Called back in the morning, they said had no responses to their calls to contractors. It was freezing in my house and I was just getting over pneumonia, needed heat, was told I could call any contractor. Called, got someone, they were over in an hour... Now I submitted my bill to Choice for reimbursement, was told had to wait 30 business days for refund. Why so long- don't understand, don't know why. Especially since I had to do everything myself, and I'm out $300 dollars for a month. Till I get my money back I really can't respond to this.

We recently had a dishwasher repair due to a rotor problem. The repair company sent the technician on the third day, ordered the new part, and replaced it in one week. The part is about 77 if we order it directly from the manufacturer, but the service fee will be up to almost 200 from the repair company. We only need to pay the 45 service fee with CHW. Happy customer. Note that since our dishwasher is not a common brand, the first company does not provide the service so I had to call CHW twice.

This was my initial claim with CHW. I went online and completed the service order... within 10 minutes of me completing the claim... they had assigned a work order number and assign the job to Electrical Repair Service company. I was told to call the company to setup a service call in which I did. The Electrical Repair company was about 30 minutes late getting to my house but the technician was very nice, explain what he was doing and fixed the problem with no issues. He called CHW and they okayed the work he had done with no issues. I have to admit... I'm very pleased with my first experience with CHW!!!

The repairman showed up when they said they would be here. It took him a short while to determine the problem and he had the repair part in his truck. He cleaned up the dryer and the debris that was left from opening the dryer and did it all in a very professional and business like manner. He was informative and did excellent work. The warranty paid for 1/10th of its value in the very first year. I will renew next year.

He did say he would be back the same day. Otherwise, he did a great job, was very friendly, and very clean! I was having issues with my air conditioner. It is that time of year that we turn them back on and sure enough, they were acting up. I figured it would be a while to get someone out. We had no heat for 3 days during the coldest weather of the year. I called to report that we had no heat. I waited and asked for the names they had contacted, but was told they couldn't provide that info. Finally, we contacted a company they found. The guys from Complete Efficiency Air were wonderful, clean, polite and knowledgeable. They found a breaker inside the unit we never knew was there. Heat came back on, but quit again after about an hour. I called, and they immediately returned, only to discover the last repairman had by-passed the heat in the unit outside which ruined the computer board. When the new board arrived, they pleasantly returned and installed the board. This recommendation is lengthy, but it doesn't begin to describe our relief that we have Choice Home Warranty. I'll gladly recommend this company to anyone!

I have to admit when I signed up for Choice Home Warranty it was with a bit of trepidation.... You hear so many stories about how most of these companies are not reliable! Just this week I had an issue with my washer. Reported my washer problem to them and they immediately assigned a tech to service my washer. The tech came out, diagnosed the problem, and reported back to Choice Home Warranty.
On my way back to work from the tech checking out my washer (time frame of about 20 minutes) I received a call from Choice Home Warranty about the status of my claim. The repairs to my 10 year old washer were going to be more than the value of the machine so they told me they would be sending me a check for $300.00 toward a new washer. I made the customer service rep repeat what he said to make sure I heard him correctly!! Needless to say I am VERY HAPPY I purchased a warranty from Choice Home Warranty!

CHW sent a company out that did poor work - left me in the cold for 2 days and he ask for money out of pocket which I gave him. The company finally did an okay job but after 30 days the problem arose again. But I called them then they sent another contractor out from another company. They came out right away about 9 because I called about 6 pm Friday.. he did temporary work to get me thru til Monday. Then when Monday came he was here first thing completed the job in a timely fashion. He didn't burn me by asking for more money. Soon after purchasing our home warranty, our built-in microwave went out. It was our first time filing a claim so we were unsure how well it would work. He got right to work and discovered the issue. He called into Choice to approve the part order which they did and he ordered the same day. After having this company for about 4 years and have a contractor that they sent out to check and repair our furnace about every year, our claim was denied for a replacement. I feel that we were unjustly denied especially when all the maintenance was done by their contractors. I change filters as often as needed and after calling them several times to find out that we were denied "in the middle of winter" that was very unprofessional.

I filed a claim for a leak around the toilet, which started 30 days after my start date. They approved it, sent out a plumber, and then denied coverage, saying it was a pre-existing condition. They offered to pay for 1/3 of my service call, rather than the $45 in my contract. I asked for a refund and they continued to argue with me. I got 30 days of coverage, during which time you can file no claims, and my refund was $96 less than I paid!

I have made two separate claims to repair my microwave. The second claim was addressed by a customer service employee as was the first. Both times seem to be making forward strides but the second half hopefully got my problem worked out. Today the microwave has yet to be repaired but I have high hopes that it will be within a week. My only concern is that the companies sent out to work on my machine they promises that they do not keep keeping your clients informed. There is very little more important than being kept in touch. To date my machine has been indisposed for a month and a half and as I said, I am certain it will be fixed within the next week. This is why I have given a positive experience. Hopefully, I won't be proven wrong.

They allocated a technician within 2 hours and made sure that they provided somebody who could come over the weekend and fixed the issues. Equipment would not be repaired as claim cost would be too high. Service was prompt and accurate until replacement was changed to only a very low offer. Offer was very low for replacement of dishwasher as it was less than 50% of my cost for replacement. With my annual fee I have to decide whether or not your service is of value. My fault for not reading the coverage down to all of the fine print.

He called the next day to tell me that they had ordered the part and would let me know as soon as it came in, which was the next day and he came right out and fixed the problem. The only things is he charged me a travel fee of $20. I was not ever told that there would be a travel fee along with the $45 for co-pay.

The agitator in my washer stopped working and there were very thin slivers of white plastic in the drum as well as a gritty residue. The repairman who checked the washer explained what happened and indicated he had never seen anything like that before and he had been in the business for many years. The washer was a very popular top of the line washer that was 5 1/2 years old. He called Choice Warranty and explained the problem. To repair the washer would have cost more that replacing the washer; therefore, that same day, Choice approved an amount for me to replace the washer. I am very pleased with Choice Warranty and would recommend them to others.

The repairmen arrived within the agreed upon time and made the needed repairs. It took them a few days to arrive after calling for an appointment. Repairmen were polite and friendly. They explained what was wrong and how they would make the repair.
