    I've made a claim online on Christmas which they got back to me right away with the technician information, which I thought the technician would call me. However, I had to call them since my kitchen sink backed up. I called throughout the day to technician with no callback and no answer on the phone. I contacted Choice toll free number that displays 24/7 on website, however when I called they said their offices are closed. So I emailed the emergency line with no response and I sent 2 emails on my claim with no response. I'm going on 3 days without being able to use my sink. Is Choice Home Warranty 24/7 establishment or is it false advertising on the site, and the sales person who sold me the plan lied too about 24/7 services? This is first time I had to put in a claim and deeply disturbed with the customer service. If this is the case I want my $ back.

    HORRIBLE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY. I never write reviews online, but there's a first for everything. If you are already with this company, do yourself a favor and find another company. I just experienced the worst customer service EVER. I was much better off with #AmericanHomeShield. Please think twice before signing up with this company. I've used them one time and the first service company they dispatched never showed up. Then the second company charged us an outrageous amount for something CHW denied.

    Then the next time I needed them to work on our a/c, they didn't dispatch the call and I had to call back and remain on the phone for 45 minutes. I ended up having to call someone on my own and pay for it out of pocket. Now, today I did a claim online only to be contacted a hour later by a foreign representative telling me (very rudely might I add) that's my issue with my hot water heater would not be covered and he would not dispatch service. I asked that particular representative, Carlos, to escalate my call and his response was, "No, I won't do that, you can call back." I'm still in disbelief.

    Come to find out, after speaking to a "supervisor" that took 50 minutes to get on the phone, Carlos is with their dispatch dept. Ha, as if that's why I experienced what I did?? Then I was told that my leak on my hot water heater might be covered, but the tank is not covered. Makes no sense whatsoever. Please think twice about paying for services with this company. It's not worth the headache. And if anyone else has experienced something similar, please email me: **. This company is not rated well with the BBB and apparently they get away with a lot.

    I bought this warranty hoping it would protect me in my time of need. I was mistaken. My refrigerator quit on me and I am savvy enough to know that my Condenser gave out on me. I called these folks and they sent me a technician, Matt with Hinco something, after 5 days. (My food went bad). I asked them if they could find some on else sooner, but they told me he was the only one they had. Once the Tech came, he diagnosed that the "Sealed System Condenser" had given away and told us that he would call the Choice Home and let them know... I had to pay 45 $ for the visit.

    A few days later, the Choice Home folks called me back to tell me that, "Since there is a leak in the system, we do not cover leaks." I called the Tech back and asked him about all this. He was stunned. He told me he had given his report that the compressor was probably out and he was not the right person for that as he would not service that. I told him what the Choice Home People told me and he said that similar thing happened to him earlier with another client, when he had gone to fix a Washer Dryer and had given a report saying that the Timer was out and the Choice Home people called the customer and told him they did not cover the knob. When that was not the case at all, the client, according to the Tech, cussed the, out and finally they gave him an approval. The Tech advised me to do the same thing. I tried but to no avail.

    These people are cheats. They will take their money in a heartbeat and will not pay up when and if it is their time to pay back. I will be filing a lawsuit. I don't care how much it costs me, but these MFs are totally fraud. They might pay up a few dollars but when it comes time to pay up for the big amount, they will try to find a way not to pay. I will be writing this all over the Internet, Facebook... wherever I can... along with the Lawsuit I intend to file. Please don't get duped with their smooth talk and misrepresentation. Folks like this need to be in jail.

    Our heating unit broke sometime between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. We awoke on Saturday to find a cold downstairs. Luckily the upstairs unit was still working. After submitting a claim online and calling Choice directly, we were assigned a technician. Unfortunately the technician did not perform warranty work on the weekends. With the help of space heaters we made it through the weekend. On Monday morning, the technician came as scheduled. He worked for more than two hours on the unit. Our unit was fixed and back blowing out warm air. I asked the technician what the repair would have cost and he said over $300 (had we not had the warranty). Thank goodness we had it!!

    I have recently switched to Choice from American Home Shield for my rental house in Texas. I live in Georgia and have already noticed a significant improvement by switching to Choice.     The tech that was sent to our home came within a few hours of us calling in the problem with our garage door opener, and it was a Saturday. He made some adjustments, greased the track and we tried it about 10 times. It worked flawlessly. The next morning it was froze up again. I called on Sunday direct to the provider. He told me that he could probably adjust it again, but that it might quit again so he recommended he come Monday morning and see what was wrong. He replaced the capacitor and it worked but he said there was too much wear on the unit and recommended replacement.     Service tech came out to evaluate situation with leaking water heater. He determined that it had a ruptured tank. After calling Choice Home Warranty Co., the tech was told that it was not covered. I then received an automated call telling me to call CHW Co. I was informed that only things like burners and faucets were covered. Not the actual tank. I truly feel that this is a bait and switch action and advise everyone who already has a policy, and anyone considering signing on, to double check what is really covered. I am retired and I feel like I've been "had".

    I have had Choice Home Warranty for only a month. I had a dishwasher break and refrigerator leak. My claim was denied on my dishwasher because I was told the problems found couldn't have happen when my policy started. That being said, I felt lied to at the time I was sold the policy. READ THE FINE PRINT... Their sales and service reps will not tell you the truth. I specifically asked if an old appliance was to have problems, would it be covered; "of course, no questions asked". Which I have now found is a complete lie. After paying for the complete policy, I was offered 10% refund. Really!!! After having the policy for a month?

    The customer service center reps were rude and completely provided no assistance. I was screamed at and was told there was nothing I could do, just take $39 and shut up. Buyers beware! I made a bad decision to purchase a warranty with Choice. I am completely disappointed and advise anyone looking for warranty, select another company. Do not let the ratings fool you like I was.

    This company is no different than any other home warranty company. They start a claim and connect you with a company, this is where it goes downhill. The company they assign you is too busy to get an appointment right away. They finally get to your home and of course your appliance needs a part that they have to order which takes up to a week. By the time they get back to your home it's approaching 2 weeks. I currently have an open claim. The original company assigned to me backed out of the contract with Choice so I am stuck with an inoperative dryer right now.     This is the second home warranty service I had. I was skeptical about home warranty because of my past experience with other national company providing similar service, but my friends had high recommendation for CHW so subscribed. Two months after the subscription I had plumbing issue to which a technician was assigned immediately. This is where I restricted myself to give 4 star instead of 5 because it took four technicians to actually perform the job. The first two didn't show up, the third one came for inspection but then was not reachable by CHW or me (customer), fourth technician was assigned, and he finished the job in 2 days.

    In all this CHW customer service was excellent and apologetic because of first two technicians response and even waived my service call fee as courtesy.     I have a repair contract with this company and find them very difficult to deal with on the 2 occasions that I needed to call them. They claim that all appliances are covered until you need a repair. Then all of a sudden it's not covered. Example is I called because my refrigerator was not working. They sent a repairman who said it needs 2 parts to be repaired. When Choice called me, they claimed they could not cover the repair because the parts were no longer available for this model and the best they could do was give me $200.00 toward a new refrigerator. I was surprised to hear that since my model was not old. So I called Maytag and was told that the parts were available. I called Choice back and then I got a new story.

    Choice does not want to pay because they claim that part # 1 caused part # 2 to not work so part # 2 is not covered because it is now considered secondary damage. They do not want to cover part # 1 because only replacing this part won't fix the problem. This is just double talk to me. After much back and forth, they said they will cover part #1 but I will have to pay for part #2 and they will no longer cover the refrigerator. Although they claim to cover all appliances, it is just not so. They find loopholes in everything. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

    The response time for Choice Warranty has been excellent. The service providers have also been high quality. The drawback for Choice Warranty are the caps on the services that are covered. The yearly charge is not competitive anymore when you have to continue to pay so much out of pocket. I'm not sure I would renew because of this drawback.

    In June 2015, we had a noisy pump in our washer. Called repair co and they removed a penny from pump. We paid the service call. We called Choice Home Warranty. And informed them we had paid the service call and that there would be no claim. In Dec. 2015 we had a washing machine problem again called

    repair. They checked the machine and found the outer tub had to be replaced. We informed Choice Home Warranty people and sent a quote for repairs. We made all repairs, paid bill, informed warranty co. They refused to reimburse us. They stated that bill for June was not been paid. We had not filed a claim. We in turn canceled our contract with Choice Home Warranty. At this time we will not recommend this co. for any repairs.

    Had Sears Home Warranty for years, Choice Warranty with a better price 22 dollars less. That was our biggest mistake, was paying for 3 months then the furnace start acting up, nothing but cold air. We call them and pay a service fee of 45 dollars for the tech to come. He came and told us the heat exchange is cracked and some wire burn. He is coming the next day to repair them. He never show up or call. We call Choice Home Warranty, they told us that is a pre-existing conditions and is not cover. Never had a problem with the furnace. Last maintenance was on September 2015 by the same tech.

    NO PROBLEMS EVERY WORKS FINE SINCE THEN. THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF I EVER SEEN. They will do anything to sign you up, as long as you do not file a claim you good, but once you do nothing is cover. Scam, scam. And customer service are nice, but once you file a claim, they become nasty and unfriendly. And if you ask for a supervisor, they put you on hold and no one comes online, and they will not cancel the contract. Crooks scam.
