    I called Choice Home Warranty in the morning, less than an hour they already assign me a technician. Within 3 hours the technician came to the house and fix the problem. Same day service -- they fix my problem on the same day. For 15 years I was with Old Republic and they are way more pricey and they keep increasing my yearly fee and you pay more for service fee and yearly fee.     DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I filed a claim to have my pool pump looked at because it was making a loud noise and the company they use said it was going to be 3 weeks before they could come take a look and two days later the pool pump caught fire causing 2200 dollars in damage and Choice Home Warranty said unfortunately they do not cover fire damage. Then 2 months later my garage door wouldn't close so I tried to file another claim and again their coverage only covered the garage door opener not the springs, hinges, tracks or rollers so I had to pay over 300 to have it repaired. So basically I paid Choice Home Warranty for monthly coverage that didn't cover anything... I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN OR REFER THEM TO ANYONE!!!

    In 2 occasions I have called Choice warranty. One for a dryer repair and once for an air conditioner repair. For the dryer repair they would not repair the dryer and offered me an amount that was 1/2 of what it would cost to buy a new one. They denied the A/C repair claim because it was too expensive and said that the motor was dirty. I questioned the technician who responded to the service call and he said that he didn't tell them that the unit was dirty. When I asked to cancel the account, I was told that because they gave me some money for the dryer repair, there would be no refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ADVERTISE LOW RATES BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PAY OUT ANY CLAIMS.

    It has been over a month asking for repairs to garage. I called the company that came out to check garage and was told they had not been asked to come back to make repairs. I have called Choice Home Warranty 4 times and still have not gotten repair. I was going cancel but they said all I would get back was 150.00 from 375.00. Bought this in November and only called in this one repair. Did not cancel after they told me they would pay 100.00 of the 250.00 cost. Only problem is they barely cover anything. Everything I asked...example hood lights not covered...sensor on garage door not covered. Hard to understand what they actually cover. I feel so strong they are ripping the consumer off. I would tell anyone not to trust them. Still waiting on repairs!

    I have sent claim for microwave which is located above the oven is not heating up. But you said this microwave will not cover under the warranty.     I had a breakdown of AC heating system in my home. It happened on Friday morning. The claim was lodged with the CHW. They very promptly sent the job order to a local company in Phoenix with intimation to me through e-mail. I contacted the company in the noon time. They were very busy due to lots of jobs at hand. They gave me an appointment for Monday between noon and 5:00 PM. Come Monday, they reached my home at 11:30 AM and were out the house within an hour after changing the fan motor.     I purchased a home six months ago and bought a Choice Home Warranty. My dryer stopped drying last week and I filed a claim. I had a technician come out to the house today and he said that there was something wrong with one of the electrical components. He filed his report and said that Choice would contact me with further instructions. I later received an email stating that they would send another technician out...in 19 days. I called to let them know that this was not acceptable - I can't dry clothes. Choice stated that they are sending out their "last resort" company and that this is the soonest that they can come out. "Last resort?" Not something you want to hear when you have an issue with your home.

    Another option was that I could have a technician of my choice come out but I would have to pay them up front (I have already paid the copay for the first technician) then I would have to get any repairs approved before anything could be considered for reimbursement. This seems unreasonable as one of the reasons I have the warranty is to avoid this hassle in the first place. What happened to the first technician's assessment? Is Choice Home Warranty trying to avoid paying for an expensive repair?

    I have the "The Total Plan" and I am paying additional charges for a larger house, additional water heater and additional HVACs. Seems like you should get more for the premium I am paying. I called to cancel my policy after this experience. I believe that this is unacceptable, again, especially for the premium I am paying. I am getting reimbursed 1/3 of what I originally paid (six months in) even though I was told when I purchased the policy that I could "cancel at any time". My fault for not reading the fine print. I wouldn't recommend this company to others.

    This company has been horrible. The repair companies they have sent to our home have been incompetent. When our microwave oven stopped working, the repair tech did not have a clue how to fix it. My husband had to take it to a microwave repair shop himself with the part. Now we filed a claim for leaky faucets. We paid our money for the plumber to come out and mess up our hot water to then find out Choice Home Warranty doesn't cover leaky faucets. Never purchase a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty or you will be paying for everything out of pocket.

    My heating unit is not working suddenly and CHW sent a technician to work on it. After checking on the unit, he said is the coil part need to be changed and that should be covered since I've done all the maintenance and filter changed regularly. But the next day I'd received a call from CHW said my claim ($1777.32) had been decline due to the rust; corrosion and lack of maintenance. And I told them the sale agent has said it'll be covered even the unit gets rusty. Now they said the agent shouldn't said that and is not under the fine print.

    I'm so unsatisfied the way CHW do their business. They kept saying under the contract it's not covered. Then I found another technician to do the second opinion. He said he'd been worked with CHW and they are known for not approving any repairs over $200. They will find a way to decline the claim. I'm telling you if you think buying CHW is a peace of mind (that what I thought), don't be fooled by them. It's a totally nightmare dealing with them. Because I'm one of the people thought CHW has good review. Don't be fooled by those unless you want to be the next victim.

    I have made 2 legitimate claims to this company that have been denied for ridiculous and illegitimate reasons. After you file a claim, they have someone "diagnose" the problem for $60 and then they search for reasons to reject the claim, no matter how silly or dishonest it may be.     I noticed my washing machine was acting funny so I contacted Choice to have it serviced. This is my first time to use their services. They sent a technician who basically said, "The repair is more expensive than the machine." Somehow they never got a hold of him and after 10 days of me calling, they sent out another technician who said the same thing. At this point, the next day Choice contacted me and offered a fair buyout for the machine based on their established worth. Not sure if they just wanted a second opinion or they honestly couldn't get a hold of the first tech, but at the end I am happy with the result and the check will help greatly in my purchase of a new one.

    Purchased a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty, 10/18/2015. Contract states they have responsibility to arrange service contractor for any repair on home, including all major appliances. I called 1/12/2016 to arrange service on my range. Choice claimed to arrange for a technician to come out. Instead of him contacting me, I was forced to contact him (Mamaroneck Appliance and Repair). He made appointment for the following Saturday. He was a no show. I contacted Choice Home Warranty who did nothing. My billing period was up on 1/19/2016 and I stopped payment as they refuse to provide me with the proper service as promised. There has been numerous phone calls but they will not send a service tech as they promised. I would not recommend their service as they do nothing and I find my money is wasted. They are in breach of contract.

    I can only go based upon what has happened so far, but Choice was very quick to assign someone to help diagnose the water heater issue. They actually came the next day. My water heater is 15 years old and I believe it to be on its last leg and I'm very surprised by the fact that they won’t just replace it but they are after all a warranty co and want you to pay out the butt to have the warranty. But in reality they aren't doing what really would be the right thing to do which is replace it because it's so old. The exclusions for what they don't cover are far more than what they do cover. With that being said the customer service and the response time was impeccable.

    I was assigned a Heating and Air Service out of Tyler, Tx. promptly after my notification. The service tech came out, evaluated the system and reported to the home office that the control panel had a short which caused it to fail and it was not grounded properly. Choice declined the coverage due to this report. I had a qualified electrician look at the system and he said it was grounded properly. I asked Choice if I could appeal. They told me to contact a licensed Heating and Cooling Service of my choice and have them evaluate the system and call them on their findings. I called East Texas Heating and Cooling out of Alba, Tx. I had used this service on three different occasions in the past. Their work and analysis of a system had proven to be accurate and unbiased. They had repaired a system for a nominal cost when another company had condemned the entire unit.

    They evaluated the system and confirmed that the control board had shorted out and caused it to fail. They agreed with the electrician in that the control board was properly grounded. They called Choice and explained what they had found and confirmed their qualifications. Choice covered the repair. I am impressed with the fairness of this company.

    Well didn't we have a banner week. Not one but TWO appliances decided to break down on us. The Micro and then the Washing Machine. I didn't know what to think when I called the "Claims Team" from CHW. I really had no need to be concerned because I have dealt with Choice Home Warranty in the past and every claim was well handled and to my complete satisfaction.

    When my latest double barreled event occurred we did get in touch with CHW and all the wheels went right into motion. The very next day a service man was here to evaluate our situation and concluded that BOTH appliances were unrepairable and that he would advise the CHW front office. The next day I was in touch with CHW and they explained the situation to me and my options. It was at this point that we decided to accept the "buy out" option and once again we are satisfied with their proposed offer. This whole event was handled very professionally and with the greatest of experience. We thank the "Claims Team" very much and give them a hardy "Thumbs up".

    Customer service was very good. I had what I thought was an electrical problem with the garbage disposal working inconsistently. A plumber was assigned and came very quickly and determined it was an electrical problem. An electrician was assigned and was not able to come for 3-4 days but then he did repair the problem. After I called the office (before the electrician visit) I told them I did not think it was fair to have to pay an additional copay and they waived the second copay due to the circumstances.     Problem was determined to be thermostat wiring to heater was shorted and wiring needed to be replaced. Vendor replaced the wiring and cleaned up the wiring efficiently and safely.     Contacted Choice on 1/4/16 that heat pump wasn't working. They assigned Allied to diagnose the problem, they replaced a part but the system still didn't work. Allied was again authorized to come out and found out that the defrost board and sensor was not working. We are getting nothing but the run around from Choice regarding authorization to go any further. I have spent WAY too much on hold with Choice. When I finally get them to answer, I get the message that all has been authorized, just set up an appointment. This is not what Allied is being told, Choice will not authorize this part!!!
