Thermostat stopped over the weekend and then late Friday night my toilet started leaking and I am a woman in a wheelchair who is paralyzed and cannot afford to risk falling and when I called this morning not expecting the way I was treated and dealt with so very quickly and the companies that did come out to do the work (Sparkles Air and Emergency Plumbing) were fantastic. I bought this warranty due to my condition and just as a matter of fact in case I needed help and Choice was there and the companies sent to me were great. Thank you all so very much.

I have now used Choice Home Warranty for two separate issues and have found them to be very professional. Filing a claim is as easy as a click or phone call and CHW takes it from there. Both contractors were friendly and professional and the repairs were completed promptly. I have highly recommended CHW to my friends and family.

My order was placed on Saturday, because of the memorial day weekend did not get service until Monday. After a little miscommunication, a repair person arrived and took care of my problem.

My dishwasher was not draining and the dispatched contractor said he wasn't able to repair. Choice Warranty is reimbursing me $180 towards a new dishwasher. It will not cover even half of the cost but it's better than nothing. The contractor has been enlisted for two different claims and was both times rude and very reluctant to repair. The dryer is still not working properly and the dishwasher might not have needed replacement but Choice have been kind enough to ban him from any further claim calls from me.

Excellent fast service. Put a request online and spoke to an actual contractor within the hour. Was able to get an appointment for the very next day. Technician was prompt and very knowledgeable. Overall great experience.

My experience has been absolutely worthless with what I was misled to believe in regards to home repair coverage offered. First the monthly fee and service call fees I was quoted to sign up were incorrect. We had some basic home repairs needed, and when I called it was stated that they wouldn't be covered. I went back through the materials sent to me and everything we needed completed was not covered. As a matter of fact there is more things not covered than covered by them. We used it once for our dryer and to this day it still doesn't run effectively. So much for a new replacement. The times I've called it has taken over 15 minutes to talk to a human being. Again I'm thoroughly displeased with Choice Home Warranty and would not recommend them to anyone.

I live in a condo where the water heater is below the a/c. I thought I had a problem with the water heater but when the technicians arrived (Claim #** - 4 LEAF PLUMBING who was GREAT), they discovered it was actually the a/c. CHW sent another technician and they identified the issues and helped me work through them. Appreciate the extra help very much. My contract number is **. I am buying another house in the area and will be selecting CHW for my warranty provider.

I called CHW when the motor on my swimming pool filter pump wouldn't start. The person taking my call was courteous and explained the process to me. An e-mail confirming my work request was received and I contacted the service recommended to me by CHW. The motor was repaired promptly. I paid my $60 service fee. To replace and install a new pump would have cost $1200. So I am very happy I had CHW on my side.

Turns out the circuit breaker for the AC unit had been tripped. Possibly due to lightning. Tech was timely, courteous, and professional. He checked the unit to confirm the unit was operating properly.

We returned home Wednesday night to find our ac thermostat blank and no ac. I immediately called the 1-800 no. for Choice Home Warranty for the first time since I had joined back in Sept. The gentleman assured me someone would be able to contact me by 8:30 the next morning. As I was hanging up I checked my emails as he said to, and got the info to call company that would be coming out. Thursday morning at 8:30 I contacted the company and the very pleasant lady already knew I was going to call and told me she would call her tech and call me right back. That's she did and our technician arrived about 1:30 p.m. and my ac was repaired and running cool air within 45 minutes!! All for just $60. Thank you Choice Home Warranty! Quick, efficient service! Technician was knowledgeable and friendly. Great service! Great company!

Technician fixed the washer on 2 occasions for the same problem. It broke again a couple days later and technician said he was booked solid and could not come out soon enough to fix it again. Called Choice warranty and they assigned another technician within the hour. New technician diagnosed the washer problem would be more expensive to fix than replace. Choice warranty then offered owner a full replacement of the washer. Such excellent service and excellent turnaround! Definitely worth the money invested buying the warranty. Warranty cost and service call fees are definitely one of the lowest prices, if not the lowest! Highly recommend this company! I'm a happy and very satisfied customer.

Outside unit was not coming on. Called Wednesday night and got a claim number. Had an service call lined up Thursday morning. They came early Thursday afternoon and got the unit running. We were back to a cool house by 2:00. This was a good experience all around.

Placed service call on Late Weds night. Service tech called me Thurs morning 9am and said he would be here 9am Friday. He showed up early. That works for us. He was an hvac repair guy. They do not send a pool repair tech out. He drove over 1 1/2 hrs to get to me. He tells me there must be a clog somewhere along my pool line and that he is only an hvac guy not a pool specialist. Cannot figure out what the problem is. Left with the issue unresolved and suggested I call a pool guy. Really! Why didn't Choice send out a pool repair person in the first place. Cause I don't believe that have one.

My refrigerator stopped working on a Friday night and I placed a call to Choice on Saturday morning. I received the name of a repairman and was able to get to me until Monday. Choice was very professional and prompt and the service man was excellent. The refrigerator was fixed for a nominal fee as described. This was the first time I used Choice and it was a positive experience.

Yesterday, 5/26/16, was the first time that I had to file claim. Choice treated me with respect and got on the situation right away. The company they recommended, Air Source One, serviceman, Steve, was very honest and polite. I would recommend Choice to use them all the time for air conditioning.

Unfortunately, I've had to make two claims this year. Each time, the CHW Team was very responsive. Within 24 hrs, I was contacted by a local repair org. to schedule an inspection and begin the repair process. CHW staff have always been very easy to work with and very respectful of my needs. I am completely satisfied with CHW and will definitely renew my home warranty policy with them when due.

Late in the afternoon. Broken water line. Water to the home had to be shut off completely. No water = emergency situation! CHW responded quickly, and the repair guys - American Pride Plumbing LLC - were in immediate communication and came to our rescue the next day. Given all the circumstances, we could not have asked for a better response and repair!

I had changed my phone number and called to change my contact info for a claim & the rep was extremely helpful with doing this as well as reset my request. I was immediately sent new information in an email for the contractor. These people were also extremely nice & went out of their way to set an appointment with us. The contractor arrived on time and quickly made the repair. I tell EVERYONE about CHW anyway, and now I boast about ConstruXX too. You all are just the best!

I bought this warranty for the first time, and so far had made 3 calls for issues. All of them were resolved on time. CHW is fair in resolving claims and has a good network of repair companies. They are easy to contact through email. In 2 of my 3 issues, they repaired the problem with the appliances. In 1 case, they sent me a check for the appliance since it couldn't be repaired.

This was our first time using our home warranty and I was thoroughly impressed. The first representative I spoke with was extremely pleasant and helpful. Each time I called, the reps were helpful, patient and didn't have a problem trying to get my problem resolved for me as quickly as possible. When I told them I had experienced a communication issue with the company they assigned, the rep went above and beyond to correct the problem and I really appreciated that.

Choice Home Warranty responded to my claim quickly and I had service scheduled within a day. The problem with the appliance continued and they sent service out again to fix the issue. The issue could not be resolved so Choice Home Warranty replaced the appliance.

I've had the most pleasant and professional technicians and customer service team while dealing with Choice Home Warranty. The technicians were knowledgeable and helpful. I was very satisfied with my experience. Within minutes of calling in my claim I had a call from my service man. The A/C man was here by 1 pm - had my unit cooling within minutes. The service man for the dishwasher came while the A/C guy was still here. He determined that it would too costly to replace the timer and said CHW would call me with a quote. They called, said would issue me a check. I was disappointed with amount offered because today you can't get a new dishwasher for less than $180.00. I will use this check for a payment on new one. This does give me some concern if something major happens to my A/C. Will CHW short me on this also.

The service was timely. The technician worked the issue, and, unfortunately had to be recalled. However, he knew what the issue was, and, made the final repairs very quickly. I have not had a chance to use the unit as of yet, but, am confident in that the technician was very knowledgeable.

Unfortunately, if you NEED service after the initial $45 service call - Be CAREFUL. If you have an a/c problem or if your refrigerator craps out - they will DRAG their feet to get to you by one of their "claims specialists" so they don't have to put any money out of pocket. I have tried for 3 days to get their "claims representative" on the line to tell me what they will and won't cover. In the past, they have denied my a/c issues until I put up a big fight and read back to them their policies regarding coverage. Now I am dealing with a refrigerator that has decided to crap out after 5 years - tenants are without a refrigerator for 7 days now, since the initial $45 service call. Still can't reach their "claim specialist" to find out IF they will cover the repair of a new compressor or not. Will write again with the final outcome.

I was scared when I choose Choice as my home warranty but their prices for my plan was great and took a gamble but here we go I had an issue with a leaky bathtub which form a minor flood in basement so I call Choice Warranty. They gave me a claim number got a phone call from local plumber in 15 minutes. It was a Sunday and Plumber advice me - he will see me Monday morning first call 8 am so plumber shows up - great guy, fixed my problem, and now all is good. I registered on the Choice Home Warranty cuz I was shopping for home warranty. As soon as I put my information someone called me a quote. When I got the quotes I told them I will get back to them cuz I'm still shopping. As soon as I said that, the agent became rude telling me why I wasted his time and hang up on me. A few hours later another agent called and I told him I'm interested in their plan but I'm still shopping, same reaction and hang up. Now every single day, I got like 3 or 4 call from them which I don't pick up no more till today. I've decided to talk to them and tell them when I'm ready I call them. Same reaction, he hang up on me. I don't know how they got that 5 stars with that customers service. You can have a great services but bad customer services not a good grade.

In Arizona, we take air conditioning seriously. Without a functioning unit your home is nearly uninhabitable. My a/c went out on a Thursday, I place a repair call late that afternoon. The techs from Just Better Air arrived at exactly the time promised and had my unit working within an hour. I am very impressed.

I called to report the issue. The claim was submitted promptly and I was emailed with the technician phone #. I called, scheduled an appt for the next day. They came out and diagnosed the problem, reported back to CHW, and I followed up and scheduled another date for the technician to come out to replace the motor. Did not fix the blower at the time, had to call in again but that will be replace as well as I have and pay for additional coverage for my pool and spa. So far no complaints. I am new to this company. I left another provider because of issues. I recently purchased this home and inherited the previous warranty provider and my first claim was a disaster. So good WORK Choice, I am happy I made the switch so far.

My spa was leaking, the heater was not working. The Tech found the correct pump, found the correct heating element and installed the items. This took some time because the spa was not a name brand. He tested it and everything worked great. The Tech was very nice and informative. All is working well now. Thanks!

I was mislead from the very beginning with this company. I had a great experience with another company, but bought a 5 year policy with Choice. Unlike the other company which contacted a service representative for me (who in turn called me promptly), Choice emailed me a phone number and told me to call to schedule. The serviceman was excellent & communicated with Choice about my claim. Choice then offered me an extremely low amount to assist with the replacement of my appliance. I attempted to negotiate with them, they came back with an amount that was still not acceptable.
At that point they said they would research replacements & came back with an offer of a bottom of the line replacement for my high-end dishwasher... An extra $20 over their previous offer. (I can understand some discount for age, but REALLY?) I reluctantly emailed that I would take the check. 17 days passed with no response and no check, so I called them. On hold for a long time. A person identifying herself as a "claims supervisor" came on the line. I gave her my information & explained I hadn't heard anything from them. She transferred me to the "appropriate department" where I remained on hold, listening to the phone ring for several minutes. When someone finally answered, she had no explanation for why I hadn't heard anything from them. When I told her I would take their check, she told me it would take 30 days to process and there was no way they could speed up the process.

I am 77 years old and in all those years I have never had a more courteous, professional worker as Brian with Zoom Mechanical. At each step of the way, he took time to explain how the job was going. He was very neat, clean and well spoken. Next time I need your services I hope I will get Brian. Please tell his boss to give him a nice pay raise.

This service was much better than last time. The Reds did came and he did not know what is going on. Did not fix the problem. This time I had the same problem with my AC. The young guy came and he knows what is broken in a second. He did fix the problem in less than 30 min. Really professional services.

I love the fact that I could enter my claim online any time of the day or night. I received a call from the technician in less than an hour of placing my claim and they were at my house to look at my air conditioner within 3 hours of the claim. A part had to be ordered which delayed the repair by a couple of days, but that's understandable. Great service and we have cool air upstairs once again!

I have received the worse home warranty experience from Choice Home Warranty ever. Signed up with them about a year ago in August 2015 and paid my policy premium upfront in full. My very first claim submitted for my garage door opener was rejected on the grounds that they do not cover the wireless receiver unit. Second claim was submitted about 6 months after that for both my microwave and cooktop burner. After waiting an entire week and paying 2 separate deductibles to the service Tech for the service call and trying to get some answers from Choice Warranty (dealing with very long telephone call wait times averaging 40-50 min each time to speak with their service Rep), they came back and rejected both claims on some flimsy grounds that the technician noted that cooktop burner had some corrosion.
The microwave claim for my Maytag wall-mounted oven/microwave unit that came with the house (installed by builder) was also not covered because the model UMC5200AAS says that it is a counter top that can be optional installed on the wall as built-in, and they do not cover counter top units. I have never had any issues with this unit in past as it was always covered as built-in since both the oven and microwave combo are in-built and wall mounted. What a shame and a sham of a business!

When we first decided to take on Choice Warranty, it was on a decision to cut back on finances. My Mother is 85 years old and owns 2 homes. I own 1. The salesman was really excited to have 3 properties and charged us such a nice price for 3 homes if we paid in full for 1 year. We had to make a quick decision. We asked him questions like, "This is to good to be true, whats the catch? Are you sure it covers everything?" He responded yes. He was adamant and said, "Listen, we cover a lot more than other companies". We trusted him and went with Choice Warranty. Since then Property #1 the Bathroom was not flushing with pressure. I called, the customer service rep was a flamboyant over the top representative. And said, "We don't cover low pressure." I asked him to please connect me to a supervisor. And while typing he said, "I am supervisor"... I was just completely defeated. What to do?
I told him that the garage door was broken and didn't want to open and the door was really heavy to lift for my mother. He proceeded to file a claim. A tech came out. And lo and behold. The springs were not covered and we had to not only pay the service fee but also the parts of the garage door repair. Well one month and one week pass and the garage door is not working again. Well it appears to be the sensors that is not covered either. So I contact the warranty company, they send me 2 notification stating, "Please be advised we have re-sent the work order at a $0.00 service call fee". $0 service fee. I was so happy.
But when I called they said, "No its over 30 days that the tech has been there. And there is a service fee." I asked them to please honor what they put in writing. The rep escalated to a supervisor and as a courtesy they would waive the fee. But I still would have to pay $79 just to have the tech come out and align the censors. I will just google it and do it myself... I complained to the rep. She said, "You can talk to a Manager." She escalated to regina in escalations. And Regina was kind to listen. But offered no solution. Just said "thank you" and "I am sorry."
Property 3. Low pressure in the shower in the 2nd floor. Not covered. Foul smell in the basement around the sewer line with visible water surrounding. The policy doesn't cover foul smell. I told them the foul smell is from the sewage seeping from the crack in the pipe. I had given up at this point. I was afraid that I would be charged again. I am so disappointed. All the money I dished out in repairs since I began the policy. I could have paid to my former Warranty company and they covered more. They were a little more pricey but you get what you pay for. My suggestion is this. Read the policy before you get involved. Do month by month so you can get out of the contract if you can. I am sorry I signed with Choice. I sued Choice Home Warranty 2 times in Florida. They were served and I got a Judgment each time for $5000.00 each case plus court costs and fees. Choice hired an attorney to try and get me to reduce it and settle and I refused. Choice is not paying the judgments and is only delaying things because New Jersey has them under an Order of compliance with a State paid person to oversee their operations. New Jersey's court judgment was over $700,000.00 to be paid back to consumers. I have my judgment, and choice will not pay, all the while the Owner Victor Mandalawi takes home a check for $3.7 million dollars per year. The company is a sham, a scam and should not be in business.
My next step is to get a court order and go to their office in New Jersey and start taking property from their office to satisfy my judgment. In my experience is to not ever use this company because they do not even pay their vendors. They are likeMadoff.

This company is great. I would recommend CHW to anyone who is looking for home warranty company. The customer service is amazing. When you call to make a claim it's processed quick and the same day the contractors contacts you to schedule an appointment and CHW also checks with you to make sure that contractor is working with you. Whereas the experience with CHW was great, I was so disappointed with the staff of the contractor prior to their coming to my house for the repairs. I spoke with a male at 8:30 a.m. and a female staff at 9:10 a.m. and they were very rude.

We filed a claim on 3/24/16. The oven quit working and we were told a repairman would contact us within a couple of days. A company called and said they were too far away to service the oven since they were about an hour away so he said he notified Choice Home Warranty. They contacted another appliance company a few days later and Parker Appliance came out and looked at the oven. They determined it needed a new control board.
A couple of weeks went by and numerous calls on why it was taking so long. CHW said that the oven was old and they didn't want to repair it because of the age and the part was not available. I found the part, a control board, available online at Sears and Appliance Select. They just wanted to give us $300 for us to take care of the repair ourselves or buy a new oven. They eventually increased it to $350. I said the contract says they will fix whatever is listed on the contract regardless of age and fix it however many times. So they finally agreed to order the part and fix it.
Weeks went by and numerous calls again and Parker Appliance showed up again. Without a part. So eventually he got the part and came back a week later. He installed it and it still did not fix the problem. He said it also needed a new control panel. I read online that it is not uncommon for a control panel to go out when the control board goes out. So he said he would talk to CHW and get the part. A couple of weeks have gone by and nothing. We contacted CHW about the oven today and they said they were not going to cover the part. They don't cover secondary parts. So if the repair needs two parts you are out of luck. The brochure states one thing but what they actually do is another. I would never recommend them.

Was told I hadn't maintained my AC system, despite a full maintenance activity done just last month! Moved from American Home Shield a good few months ago. Choice Warranty solved our issues quickly. We called Thursday about our AC upstairs not working. They told us how long it would take. The repair company called the same day and the gentleman came the next day, at the time he was supposed to be here. He worked, had the part, and fixed our AC. He serviced the AC also. A blower on our air-conditioning went out. Choice was quick to respond. However their selection of vendor in our area is extremely poor. Simple Air Solutions called and used an excuse that they never received our repeat phone calls asking for status... We went one week without AC in Texas in June. After 17 minutes on hold I was able to talk to supervisor from Choice but the good news is she was able to give me money towards a blower and I was able to use my own air-conditioning person who will get the job done in 72 hours. I will still be out $200 but at least have air-conditioning.

Upon returning from summer vacation we found we had no hot water. We called Choice. Service man was prompt but it went downhill from there. Water heater was dripping but I was told where it dripped from inside heater was not covered. I was quoted $850 and had to pay $45.00 service call. I read my contract and listened to their TV ad and they say water heaters are warranted. Not so. I had my maintenance man replace it for $150.00 and I bought a heater from Home Depot for $350.00. Total ripoff. I should have stayed with my old warranty company.

This past Saturday our air conditioning went out at about 9:00 AM. Contacted Choice Home Warranty and they were very quick to respond and had a technician at our house in less than two hours. I changed our home warranty coverage a couple of months ago to Choice Home Warranty from another nationally known company. Although I lost some coverages, the price differences between the two overwhelmingly supported the move. This is the second claim we've had. This one was flawless. I heard from the contractor within one hour, they were out the next day, and we paid nothing (except our service fee) for this visit. The one thing I didn't know and want to be sure that everyone else knows is that if you don't hear back from a contractor in the time CHW tells you should, be sure to contact CHW. The first time, for some reason, no one picked up our claim, and it took longer than expected. Now I know how their service works, and it was flawless the second time. If you currently have another company or are looking for a home warranty company, CHW is worth a look.

I was told my dishwasher has a broken tub, which was not done by me. The warranty does not have this in its exclusions under dishwasher. It did mention gasket, which is also a problem probably caused by the broken tub. I am disputing the rejection of my claim. I am very dissatisfied with how my call was received. I have rental property, and I was informed by the realtors that the tenants did not have lights in the two bathrooms and in the master bedroom. I called Choice Warranty and within 24 hours there was an individual at the house repairing the problem. I spoke with him the next day and he informed me of what the problem was and made some suggestions of what I may need to do in order to see that it doesn't happen again. The circuit breaker needs to be upgraded. I am following through with the suggestion and in the future I will continue to use Choice Warranty because the people really care about what they do and the electricians who come out really "Know their job". We have had a policy with them for 2 years now because our AC was covered with their policy by the former owners of the house we bought. They have "band aided" this unit twice before, until it went out a third time and they sent a repairman again. He told us we really needed a new unit badly, but he wasn't allowed to say so by Choice Home. They denied our claim altogether because of rust on the unit, a unit that has been in their care for the past 2 years. The freon had been leaking, last time, which obviously didn't get fixed properly.
When speaking to an HVAC business owner, he told me they were the WORST warranty company and they always find an out with rust, which he said all HVAC units end up with, it's normal wear and tear. He said they NEVER replace any units no matter what, with this rust out in your contract. He said he knew people who have filed lawsuits against them, but they always win. DO NOT BUY A warranty from them!!!

A/C stop working, create a claim. Contacted a contractor and this contractor and Choice Home Warranty (CHW) technical people talked to each other and after questioning back and forth the reason for the unit to go bad was due to the age (11 yrs) but for CHW was for lack of maintenance. I have done maintenance on the unit but CHW from another state can see that the unit was not maintain (how). Then they declined the service and only offered me $300 - kind of the same they offered me when the dryer stop working. I can see this company is a bad faith business company and should be stopped. Now I called to cancel my contract and guess what? It needs to be accepted by the company. What do you think? Are they going to approve it??? Really??? BAD COMPANY. My washer was leaking. They had Sears come out. He said it's going to be too much to repair it so as any other warranty company they are going to replace the washer and usually they repairman delivers the item that they replaced. Well that is not what happened. They send me a check for what they thought would be a fair replacement value and I would have to do the looking and purchase the washer. This should be the warranty company's responsibility. Not happy. My other warranty company would purchase the item to be replaced and deliver it. Not sure I want to continue with Choice.

We called because our washing machine was leaking. Choice assigned a repair company, who contacted us immediately to assess the problem. When the problem was found, Choice called us to say they would fix the problem or, if we preferred, since our washer was 19 years old, they would give us $175 towards a new washer. We chose to buy a new washer; and when the salesman at the store tried to talk us into an extended warranty, my husband gladly responded that we didn't need it. The repairman said the AC had a leak and I had to pay for leak repair because it was not covered. On April 30 2016 I filed a claim about the A/C unit not cooling enough. The Choice Home Warranty sent an email to contact the technician. The technician came on May 02 2016 and I paid $60, diagnosed the A/C unit. Took some pictures and said, "I will call you once I hear from Choice Home Warranty Company." On May 04 2016 I got a call from Choice Home Warranty that my claim was denied stating it was not covered due to rust. I was confused and came home to see what technician wrote on the report. The technician wrote exactly, “Checked the system out, found low on charge for upstairs air handler unit. Ran a leak test, found leaking evaporator coil. Need to be replaced."
I called the customer support on May 04 2016 again. The customer service person said that the claim was denied due rust. I said that the technician never mention anything about leak is due to rust. I do maintain the A/C unit by cleaning the coils. I do have the record of maintenance with me. They said, "Sorry as per policy exclusion it is not covered." They offered a free service all for next service call. This was my first service request with Choice Home Warranty. I was not happy and If Choice Home Warranty cannot resolve the issue, I said I might cancel my contract. The Customer service person said they will have someone call me tomorrow. i.e. May 05 2016.
But no one called me and I called them on May 06 2016. The customer service person said that, "Your policy has been canceled based on your request. We have already sent you email." While I call I also asked for a copy the report given by technician who diagnosed the A/C, they said "No. We cannot give you the report and if you want, you may contact the technician directly."
I will never ever again do business with this company. I had a home warranty with one republic home warranty when I purchased the home. They provided a very good service. Instead of renewal with one republic home warranty, I shopped for other home warranty and have chosen Choice Home Warranty due the low cost and low service call fee. Now I repent for choosing the Choice Home Warranty.

We have had Choice Home Warranty for 2 years and never filed a claim. The reason we went with Choice was their motto, "Old things wear out. Nothing lasts forever. Choice gives you a peace of mind." Well, they have made me lose my mind! Our AC went out on Monday. Today is Saturday. They sent a man to my house to figure out what was wrong and he came to a conclusion that a surge protector failed and blew the motor. Choice was to review his findings and call us the next morning. They never called so we called them. After being on hold for 45 mins we were informed that they can't help us because we were 3 lbs low and freon and our coils were rusty. False! The technician didn't even check freon levels. We called him and he said, "No sir, my report stated electrical only and that I didn't even check freon levels."
We have had to call them every day and they just keep giving us reason after reason, lie after lie. We are done with them and will have it fixed on our own and go to another company. I am also a general contractor in new housing developments and have referred them to dozens of new homeowners but never again. It's rather difficult to have peace of mind in the great state of Texas with no a.c. Choice gets a big 0 in my book. Save yourself shine peace of mind and go to another company and look further than this site for reviews to learn about the real Choice Home Warranty.

Company refused to replace air conditioner coil because of some rust and corrosion. These units sit outside. Of course they are going to have some rust and corrosion. They would not pay for the leak detection required to find where the unit was leaking from. I had to pay that out of pocket. I see that after reading the fine print on the policy that these things are not covered, but what is the point of paying for the peace of mind to have your appliance covered, when the fine print excludes all the repairs? I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Have had Choice Warranty coverage for about a year, but this is the first time to use their service for a microwave repair. Called on a Tuesday morning. The local contractor, Expert AC, was also terrific. Choice Home Warranty was real punctual in setting up a company to come and detect our problem with the repair of our air conditioner. The company sent was not real punctual in getting out to do the repair. Did not seem quite right that a leak test that was required to determine what needed to be done was not covered by the warranty. Once the leak test was done the warranty company got back to the repair company promptly and got the repair done as recommended by the warranty company. All seems well now.

They call CHW to notify them and because repair would be expensive, we were offered a reasonable buyout. All transpired in a reasonable time frame. Our central heating & air unit went out. The first company they gave us refused to come out because they said Choice Home Warranty only paid them $10 on top of the deductible for their last job. Once we got a service person out he added coolant to our unit but said we had a leak that needed to be repaired. Our claim was denied because they said "We don't cover rust and corrosion". Our unit has been serviced every year we've had it. It is located outside but I think most units are. I wonder how many central units are not discolored due to the elements outside? When we ask the service worker about rust and corrosion they said "Copper doesn't rust." So based on my experience, I'd recommend saving your warranty fee because you're going to be paying for the repairs yourself.
I also noticed on this website that many of the poor reviews are flagged as 'uncertain - factual basis'. That seemed odd to me that only the negative reviews were flagged. Interesting... Is anyone confirming the positive review? I'm sure there are good home warranty companies but based on my experience, this is not one of them. But that's my opinion...and it will probably be flagged 'factual basis'.

After 4 days of being in our home without any usable plumbing because of a clogged drain line, Choice Home Warranty has still to find a contractor to even show up at the door to fix the problem. They feel they have no obligation other than to conduct business as usual in that they will try to contact another contractor which can take up to 48 hours and if still not successful try again in another 48 hours. The only other option they have given me is for me to hire a contractor to do the work, and they will reimburse me what they would have paid one of their technicians, which means 100s of dollars out of my pocket. If I were going to do that, why pay for this insurance warranty? They state "Peace of Mind and we'll do whatever it takes," but delivers on neither. To me they want to be paid for the warranty but when it comes to spending money or effort to get a problem covered by the warranty, they want to do as little as possible.

So once you wait on the phone an hour to get help you have to wait 24-48 hours for them to consider covering your claim. Then even though no inspection was made something breaks it's your fault because they claim you did no maintenance. The beast of burden is on you to provide proof of service, and when I showed proof they still denied it saying I have to show more proof going back further. There is nothing in the contract or advertising that claims I need to have proof of maintenance.
Furthermore, when I talked to a claims specialist in the same sentence she told me "no you don't need proof but for this claim you need... more proof of maintenance." Save your self the headaches, long phone waits, having to fight for each claim as if you were a criminal and had to prove your innocence and DO NOT GET CHOICE HOME WARRANTY.

Repairman came out on time and informed us that the unit could not be repaired and Choice offered funds to put towards the replacement of the washer unit. I was impressed with the quick reply to our case. I have dealt with other home warranty companies and this so far is the best.

When I called in my claim Choice answered promptly and scheduled a technician. The repair company called me promptly and scheduled repair. Repairman was polite, on time, and professional in his work, and completed the repair. I have used Choice for several years now and will keep on using them based on this call, as well as previous repairs.

I purchased a total plan policy with Choice Home Warranty but when the water heater broke (started to leak water) the first thing they told me was that they only cover the thermal components of the water heater. Consequently they did not send a technician nor replaced the water heater. Before giving them your money consider carefully reading their agreement which is full of exemptions. Lessons learned - save your money and self-insure your home.

Using my home warranty from Choice is so easy and gives me peace of mind and a way to budget my household needs. I love that it covers the appliances in my house and have used it a couple times for that coverage already. The convenient monthly payments and reasonable deductible make it easier for me to fix things when they need to be fixed. Filing a claim is quick and painless and so far the contracted technicians have been prompt and easy to set up an appointment with. Couldn't ask for more and I plan on keeping this coverage for many years to come!

My experience had been diametrically opposite to those on this site. For all my claims, they have used the fine prints to wriggle out of paying. When my oven malfunctioned, they decided that the defects were pre-existing; refused to pay. Their contractor did not even return our calls. When my A/C broke down, they brought out the fine prints that I have to get a leak test done ($100) and repair it. Only then they will pay for the coolant. That is not comprehensive coverage as promised.

How awesome was the guy they sent! I had a wicked stoppage somewhere between the kitchen sink and the garage. Some type of thick black gooey stuff that he managed to push out with his drill. He worked it and worked it and didn't give up and finally got it cleared. And cleaned up everything afterwards even though it wasn't his problem. I am so grateful he didn't give up after the first few minutes, which I'm sure many plumbers would have and tried to replace the pipes.

I placed my first claim today with Choice about my air conditioner. Within 1 hour, the claim had been assigned to a contractor. When I got the contractor, they were polite and efficient. They got to my house and fixed the problem within 1 1/2 hours. What great service and what a great warranty company. I had previously been with the so called leader in home warranty companies. The last two repairs were done poorly by companies with poor ratings from the BBB. On of them on my dishwasher took over 5 weeks to get addressed and it was never fixed properly. I had to pay to have it done myself. I made the switch to Choice and I am glad I did.

I just recently acquired coverage with CHW. My first experience with them has been more than satisfactory. My garbage disposal broke and I followed their procedure by contacting them online. Need to have garbage disposal replaced and they sent some jack leg plumber to my home and was told it could take up to a week to get a new disposal. I looked up the plumber and got his home. Asked if plumber was bonded and was asked, "what is bonded". Also was told because I live in Baltimore City they have a hard time getting a plumber. This is unacceptable. I deserve the same level of service as everyone else.

This is a rental property that I manage. When we had a water heater that had gone out and a washer that needed repair, I received a response to the need within less than 5 minutes from the tech's company. The amount of the trip charge was very reasonable. They came out immediately. Offered to do a follow-up. This was a great way to get the job done expeditiously. The technician came out the first time and told us that all we had to do was change out the filters and it would work. As proof, he removed the filters and it started. He also said that the outside needed to be de-greased. With new filters it worked about two days before it quit again. The next time that he came out, he discovered that it had a bad valve that had to be replaced and then the Freon had to be recharged. Would have saved a lot of trouble if he had done a good job of troubleshooting the first time. But, for Choice Home Warranty's part they did a fantastic job and really got on the technician to get back out here quickly. WTG, Choice!!!

I've had 2 claims with Choice HW in first year I have been with them. Though their repair companies listed with them may not be the best, they have always helped with contacting them &/or trying to get repairs done in a hurry. Their vendors may not be the best which is not always under their control, but they have always been nice & helpful when I am at "wit's end" and needing help with a repair. I would however, wish local repair services had better customer service & more professional work ethics.

I got a home warranty for my home. It is 30 years old. The AC is 30 years old. I have owned my home for 10 years. Every year I get my unit serviced. This year it has a leak. Freon has to be replaced but it can't until the leak is fixed. I had Choice Home Warranty have it checked. They will not pay for it to be fixed for they said my unit has some rust. ALL UNITS HAVE RUST AFTER A FEW YEARS. That is not why there is a leak. They just don't want to fix it or replace it. They are crooks. I am planning to take them to court and I will tell everyone never to use them. My daughter was going to use them for her home warranty and I am so glad they did not.

Contacted CHW and within 30 minutes I had the plumbing service calling me to set up an appointment. I had an appointment the very same day. 4 hours after I contacted CHW the service tech was at my door. 1 hour later my issue was diagnosed and a new garbage disposal was installed. Very pleased and as a homeowner I am glad that I went with CHW for my home warranty.

A representative named Desiree was collecting infos. from me & received an email less than half hour that the claim team has processed my claim and will be notified shortly. I received a call and notified me that T.M.S. services is assigned to check my air conditioning problem. TMS called me the same day and appointment for the next day was made and the technician checked the air conditioning problem. It was an excellent service!!! I am happy to join "Choice Home Warranty".
