The repairman from Lee Innovations did an excellent and meticulous repair job on a motor in my air handler that was done by another company several months ago improperly. He was called on Wednesday and came the next day and did a great job getting my air conditioner back on in extremely hot conditions. Great response time indeed. Thank you.

You guys sent True Comfort out here to evaluate my air conditioner. You give me one day in time. There's a no-show and they call me the time that they're supposed to be here to tell me they're not going to be here and then you give me another time and then they tell me almost a week later. They're not dependable and why you keep using them. I have no idea.

Contractor Handyslavic, did a very good all around job....His timing was off just a bit and although maybe not fair to factor this into the rating, I feel a -5 rating is appropriate. Just me, but I feel a sense of supervision for all work is appropriate to ensure repairs are done properly. He did a very good job with the repairs.

Every time I call customer service they say leave my number and they will call back, however they never call back. Never call back, I never a reach customer service representative. Very dissatisfied and frustrated by not talking to customer service. I would like to get call back when I have a problem with an appliance. It seems that Choice would only like to talk by e-mail.

Low Freon - Work was completed quickly and efficiently- I was impressed with the technician. I have however been getting notices from CHW that additional visits have been scheduled so I assume the Service Company didn't notify CHW that the work was completed. But it is done to my satisfaction.

I feel that it was a good thing, but now after several tries on signing, it won't allow me to get in... Why, I can't even sign up into the policy, and will not get me in! I want to get this warranty signed out and off! Please disregard my signing up.

The LG tech came early because he lives in the same town. He was great and would recommend him to everyone who need LG appliances work, the appointment process went well too. I don’t have any more to say but great great great great. Service technician was great and explained everything that was needed to fix my dryer.

The technician was good. He did what he was suppose to. He explained everything thoroughly. He submitted the claim and the very next day it was denied, As usual Choice denied our claim. Not sure why I have Home Warranty coverage. It is expensive and so many things aren't covered.

My dryer was not heating up. The repair man that came over was professional and figured out what the problem was immediately. It was a bad fuse which he had a replacement for in his truck. He replaced it in no time flat and then went on his way. Problem solved!

The technician’s name was Justin Sweat of J’s Heat and Air. The claim was made to Choice Home Warranty on 07-02-25 and the technician came out 07-03-25. Justin arrived on time and was very professional and courteous and resolved the clogged drainage pipe in a timely manner. He answered all of our questions! I would highly recommend J’s Heat and Air!

The technician that came out to service my garage door opener name is Josh. He did a great job of identifying the problem to solve my issue. He then sent the information to Choice Warranty, and it has already been approved. I just waiting to be scheduled for the next appointment. Thanks to all involved!

AC wasn't cooling in 100 degree weather, so I called the local AC technician who inspected the unit and said the Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) wasn't working and needed replacement. I submitted the invoice with Diagnosis on CHW website. When the technician replaced the TXV he found an evaporator coil and replaced it also. In the meantime although I submitted the initial Invoice with Diagnosis an estimated cost of $500 from the local technician on Fri June 27, CHW assigned an HVAC Co from Sioux Falls, 2 1/2 hrs away for an appointment the following Wed July 2nd. With repairs already completed for $1200, CHW said my claim was closed and I would not be reimbursed. I attempted to submit the $1200 completed invoice from Lee Heating & Cooling, but the CHW website would not upload it due to the document containing too much data.
Lee ** from Cust Svc called, apologized for the mix up and said CHW would reimburse me $500. I said I wanted my $1200 minus the $75 service fee. Lee ** said she would working it. She requested I send the completed invoice via email, so I did and thought the matter would be resolved to my satisfaction. I recently received a notice from CHW that my $500 Repair had been approved and CHW wanted the paid invoice for TXV replacement. I have already submitted the final invoice for the total repair cost of $1200 as requested and expect a reimbursement of $1125. If this situation is not settled to my satisfaction, I will find another home warranty company who will take care of their customers.

We did have issues with the appointment, but the technicians did come at a later time. We also had an issue with the technicians because there were 2 guys and my wife was home alone. NOT GOOD AT ALL!! TELL US IN ADVANCE!! However, the install was professionally done.

Ross was a great professional. Explained the situation, the solution and provided a clean finished product work area upon completion of task. The electrician stayed with the problem until he figured it out and was able to repair the ceiling fan. It took some time, but I am impressed he didn’t have the “It’s broken, you need to replace it” quitters attitude so frequently seen in this day and age. Bravo to him!

Great turn around time! Had an appointment within 24 hrs. Great company Eric C’S Electric Company did an excellent job! The receptionist consistently kept me informed on the schedule and was very nice. The technician did a fantastic job in finding the issue and swiftly fixing it. The two technicians (Marty and Jay) sent to repair our plumbing issue were very knowledgeable and experienced. They were courteous and considerate. They tackled the problem quickly and left everything clean and tidy. They also gave us good ideas to prevent the problem happening again. We would highly recommend them.

The repair tech was very friendly and knowledgeable of the situation. He took the time to explain what it happened and how this could be remedied. I appreciated his prompt service and the fact that he had the parts on his truck made the job go faster. In addition, the repair tech was well groomed and well dressed. Unlike some repairman, who dress Slaven Lee and their grooming needs to be given attention, this young man was very polite, respectful and again well groomed.

Review for Jonathan – Appliance Service (6/3/25). Jonathan provided exceptional service when he came to repair my appliance on June 3, 2025. He called ahead both the day before and the day of the appointment to confirm his arrival time, which I truly appreciated. Took forever to get a response from CHW. Very disappointed in the lack of communication. This is a complaint that we heard from others also using CHW. Slow to respond. This was a warranty issue so the delay was worse. Needs improvement. How would YOU react if it was YOU waiting hours then days?? The tech from Mr. G Heating and Air on the other hand was responsive, knowledgeable communicated well.

The technician (Gage) from Airflow Air Conditioning was great. He explained everything in detail and was courteous and professional. He showed up very quickly and did a thorough check of everything and even gave me some tips for savings! Even though there was nothing wrong, I felt better knowing that everything was working fine after my unit was making strange sounds.

We returned home after a three day getaway. Our AC unit was not working. It was blowing warm air. We submitted our claim at around 5 PM. By 11 AM the next day, we were notified that 24 Seven A/C would be out between 3 and 8pm. The A/C technician showed up at 1pm and quickly found the problem and got our A/C unit up and running again.

Our water heater was just giving out warm water. We thought it might be a heating element. Choice sent out Topps Electronic Services from Bluefield WV. Turned out to be the thermostat. Men from Topps were great. On time, pleasant and efficient. Would highly recommend them. We paid our $100. Deductible and Choice took care of the rest. We are very satisfied and have hot water again.

I was researching the different home warranty companies, not ready to purchase, but convinced with the sales person I spoke with. Superb mannerisms, not pushy, and able to get veteran and senior citizen discount. I hope I will not be disappointed. Will wait the 30 day period and try the service out. All the BEST!!!

I had a much better experience this time around. The response was a lot faster along with the repair. From the time I did the claim, initial service, and part ordered and replaced - the whole process was less than a week. Completely different from my first experience when I had to go back and forth about my AC repair.

The real proof is in the pudding. I just signed up as a new customer so I haven’t made a claim. Anthony was terrific on the phone. I’ve honestly never signed up so quickly for a service before. I have had a different home warranty for the past year and needed their service when my refrigerator just stopped. I had their home warranty for quite a few years prior to my home burning down. They changed a great deal. A high service fee and 9 days later and two service providers sent out who were not qualified to do the job. I finally took care of it myself and found “Choice Home Warranty”. I have high hopes for this company. Thank you Anthony.

The service man was really known about the problem with the AC unit. Choice Home Warranty was right on to get someone here to fix the AC problem. He recharged the AC unit. I had nice cold air right away. Choice Home warranty was fast answering the call from the serviceman.

My claim was filed and a contractor assigned. I was given a date and time for the appointment by Choice. The contractor changed the date and then cancelled my claim without coming out to fix my A/C. I contacted Choice and had to file a 2nd claim, they then assigned the same contractor who cancelled my first claim. When I filed my 2nd claim I told them not to assign the same contractor.

When I purchased my home, the sellers included a home warranty with Choice (because of an old hvac). I have had issues with my AC and Choice has been great. When a vendor did not fix issue choice offered to have someone else come at no charge. However, we were having a heat wave and a vendor could not be assigned. I found another vendor I wanted to work with. Choice offered that option to me. They later approved vendor and cost. Throughout this long ordeal, Choice returned calls and emails in a timely manner. So far So good.

Our policy states, “Replacement of a Covered Item means for... [a] dishwasher..., We are responsible only for replacement equipment of similar features, capacity, and efficiency, but not for matching dimensions, brand, or color." What this does not tell the consumer is that the replacement formula is based on wholesale prices, not retail. It took us over half an hour with our courteous and patient - but less than forthcoming - case manager to ascertain how the formula is written.
After a VERY long discussion with her, we finally come to understand that the amount the company was going to pay was never going to be more than approximately two-thirds of the retail replacement price (at least in this case.) Since it is impossible for us to buy a dishwasher at this price, we find it to be a misleading and unfair policy.
This realization came in contrast to our discussion with our policy salesperson, who led me to believe that the payout would enable us to purchase another appliance and only pay our technician fee, but not any installation or haul-away fees. That would have been okay, but we waited a very long time for a technician to come out, and now that our case has been settled, we will be receiving 68% of the replacement value of our Kenmore F43312091; which is based on the wholesale price of the item.
I think that this might have been easier to handle, had it not taken the company over two months to find a technician who was willing and able to come to our home to complete our claim (and we live in a major city!!) As I stated in the title of my review: Wonderful Case Manager, but misleading policy terms. Highly frustrating experience.

The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, He contacted me before the visit to troubleshoot the issue over the phone, he made sure he has all the parts in stock for the repair to avoid multiple trips. The technician followed up with me two days after the visit to check if the issue is resolved.

CHW was fast with response even though they couldn’t find an available technician. I selected my own and got approval right away. I was able to use my pool guy that is familiar with my system. Now I pay and get reimbursed. Hope that goes as well as the claim approval.

Issue with kitchen disposal having dish cloth stuck in blades. Online request for service 6/23/25 - appointment scheduled for July 2nd, 10 days with issues using the sink. Usually the service is faster, I have been a customer for over 10 years. I really expect a service call within a few days. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

Terrible customer service! Hard to talk with a human, don’t return phone calls. We’ve been without water for 6 days. A tech finally came out 5 days after we contacted Choice. Discovered holes in bottom of water heater. It was still under warranty and we were told we’d only have to pay the 75$ deductible. We got a bill for 1,160 dollars. Made several calls to choice regarding this. Requested to speak with a case manager or supervisor. We were told one would call within 2 hrs. 5 hrs later we called back and was told someone would be contacting us soon.
It has now been 23 hrs and still no one has contacted us!! Still waiting to speak to someone and now another 2 days without water. Tomorrow a tech is supposed to install new water heater and we’re supposed to write a check for 1,160 dollars for installation of a warrantied heater. This is the first we’ve made a claim and definitely not satisfied on any level except for the technician. Not sure why we have this insurance. Appears it covers nothing.

First Home Solutions arrived within the specified time and called to tell me that he was on the way. He fixed the problem and the a/c is running wonderfully now! I appreciate his promptness and calling to let me know he was on his way. First Home Solutions did a wonderful job. I would recommend. The other providers never showed up.

My refrigerator went out and needed to be replaced. I wasn't offered enough to buy a decent replacement. Then I had to get one at Lowes with an ecard. NOT. Lowe's is high. Should have gotten a check. Could probably have gotten a decent one at an outlet. Tamara **, a manager, was great. But still not happy. Can't afford to add more for my refrigerator. Minimum payment should have been $1500. Oh, first offer was $818 and Tamara got it up to $1199. My refrigerator is a 28 cu. ft. LG with French doors, with water/ice maker on the outside and 2 drawer freezer.

I am now waiting 13 days to have our air conditioner fixed. First they could not get the part. Then they had the part but didn’t give the installer the number he needs to pick up the part. Then the warehouse only had 1 part, we needed 2. The other warehouse had both parts but the number they gave us to pick up the part could only be used for 1 part. We are now waiting for them to issue an another number that covers both parts. This company is incompetent. There is no one to speak with other than the case manager and when I asked to speak with his manager I was told his and manager doesn’t speak to customers. It is now the day before July 4 which means the earliest my air can be fixed is next Monday. THAT IS AT LEAST 17 DAYS! It is 90 degrees daily. We have been extremely aggressive following up on the company daily. I can’t even imagine the results if we weren’t following up. Find another company.

Service was terrible. Had multiple items break down on several different occasions. Had to locate my own tech for the repairs. Then they denied to pay the claim. If i could give them a zero stars I would. Stay away from this company. I went back to American Home Shield. Much better. Had them for 10 years and very little issues.

Choice Home Warranty refused to replace my A/C unit stating the issue was due to improper installation as opposed to wear and tear. The unit worked 25 years without issue... until it did not. They stated the issue which took 25 years to eventually result in failure was not due to wear and tear. Their description of the issue was semantically wear and tear without using those exact words. I feel I have been scammed and would never recommend this company to anybody.

Waiting 3 days for a plumber to be assigned to change out a garbage disposer that is leaking. It is located at ** in Tupelo, Mississippi. It seems to me every time I need a plumber you can’t find one in Tupelo and have to get one from a far away town.

It seems to always take a min of a week to get a scheduled appointment, The scheduled appointment was 8 days from the report date. Once the plumber showed up, it took 5 minutes to diagnose there was a damaged part. They ordered the part, which took another 4 days, and once received, it took 5 minutes to install the new part and fix the problem. Cascade plumbing did a great job diagnosing the problem, ordering the part and promptly coming back to install the part and fix the problem.

With regular household appliances, I am very pleased with the quick initial response and the repair. A/C repair experience to date has not been stellar. Taking up to 3 days to get an initial appt. to see what the problem is --- Not so good. I would give them a solid B and would probably recommend to someone but would relay A/C wait time is long. I am very satisfied with the quick initial response and repair of regular household appliances. However, my experience with A/C repair has not been great. It often takes up to three days to get an initial appointment to diagnose the problem, which is not ideal. Overall, I would give them a solid B and would likely recommend their services to someone, but I would also mention that the wait time for A/C repairs is lengthy.

Tech was on time and presented a professional appearance. Fixed the problem and told me how to prevent it from happening again. He could have recommended a replacement but he just fixed the problem. Called Choice as had bad leak. Very professional tech came next day, assessed damage and insurance proposed a cash refund towards a new machine/ that was a good solution! So I accepted the offer and will buy a brand new one! Very effective decision from Choice vs a possibly expensive repair!

When you enroll in the warranty coverage, they say that list of all appliances are covered but when you something goes bad and those appliances needs a fix, they escape saying this particular item of the appliances is not covered. For ex. My coverage covers garage door opener and I have issue with the wiring of the garage door opener. Choice Warranty escaped saying they don't cover wiring.

Tech was timely and knew his craft. He did a lot of research and disassembling the cooktop. He was able to find the cause of the failure and stated that replacement of the unit was the only option. Choice however did not believe him or they didn’t understand the situation. A part failed when 3 similar parts function perfectly.

The repairman listened to my husband and I. He assessed the damage we described and came to a conclusion on how to resolve our plumbing issue in our en suite. He listened to us and knew exactly how to proceed to handle the situation. He was extremely professional from start to finish in the handling of this job. I would highly recommend this company for your plumbing repair needs.

I need a new garage door opener and sensors and they cover nothing. I am sorry I wasted my money on a policy. They did not cover a water leak either. They find any reason, excuse not to cover. Do NOT waste your money on policy with Choice Warranty. They do not fulfill their contract. Also difficult to file a claim.

The e-card I will receive won't even cover the purchase of a new dishwasher of poorer quality. All in all probably looking for a new warranty company, second instance where the company in my opinion did not fulfill what was needed to complete job fully. I have placed over 30 phone calls to Choice Home Warranty, Sequoia Repair and LG Electronics. And my refrigerator still isn't working. The Original phone call was the first week in June. Here we are first week of July .Still nothing has been fixed. I am very disappointed in the service I have received from Choice Home Warranty.

The company is a scam! I made claims and the technicians stopped wanting to come because they were not getting paid for the work they were doing. Then this is the worst part, my contract was over in July of last year, after several calls and emails of me telling them I was not interested in renewing my contract, they renewed it for another year without my consent! I called and complained and I only got a call back when I canceled my card on file and filed a fraud claim with my bank. They are untrustworthy and the business is corrupt. The Better Business Bureau has had thousands of complaints due to their fraudulent business practices.

I liked the fact that they got a repair man out quickly. They came with the decision of replacement quickly. Only problem was that I was only allotted $348.00 to replace it. No dryer was available for that price, expecially with the amenities of mine. I thought my policy said replacement cost. Not a down payment. Very disappointed with the amount allowed. It was less than half of the amount needed for a new dryer.

They came out the same day we called and took care of the garage door. We called the same day to Choice and they got us someone the same day. We have never had any problems with them as long as we have had them. I have recommended to some of my friends.

6/30/25, I woke up. I found out the water were all over the floor in the bottom of my GE refrigerator. I check the temperature, Freezer is 29; Refrigerator is 45, this GE refrigerator only 3 years old. Lately, I heard the weird sound was running behind the refrigerator on and off. Everything was in the freezer are melting. I filed a claim online through CHW website for urgent repair, because I will be out of town on July 2, 2025 and the rest of the week. I needed to fix it asap. On July 1st, Malik came and fixed it right on the spot, a relay problem. Now everything is working fine. Now my family can enjoy the July 4th weekend without worry about our foods getting spoils at home.

Very professional. Work completed 100%. The warranty company not so much tired of them side stepping they claim they were better than the rest. But when it's time to fix they have too many stipulations. Not sure if I will be recommending them to other home owners. I have just been told to say more I am just done with the whole process. Write a review and they tell you it had to be a certain length. Here's a thought, how about you pay to have fixed correctly instead of doing a word count. I have had about enough of sketchy warranties that say one thing then when you I need them most they are absolutely worthless. 3 time I have paid for things that should have been covered. Guess I'll take a week to highlight my policy to see if I will renew and recommend.

The agent was rude, unprofessional, and spelled my address wrong and would not listen when I specifically said I wanted additional coverage for a stand alone freezer and a second refrigerator. The agent told me that is what I was getting with the under counter ice maker. Now I have to wait 1-2 days to learn what my monthly bill is going to be.

The service technician was awesome. He helped him anyway he could. I am not totally satisfied with the amount. I’m being paid for my washer and dryer. These two items are very expensive and what I’m about to receive is only a fraction of what my washer and dryer can get me.

The technician came out and was very knowledgeable. He reviewed the first company findings and did not agree that the A assembly on the AC needed to be replaced. He fully inspected it from both sides and found nothing wrong. He did find the system pressure was low, so he charged it, tested it and now it works great. It is nice to have AC with 90+ temperatures and high humidity. He did leave me his business card and hopefully I can request him, if need be, in the future.

If there were a zero-star option, it would be a -1. I've been denied three claims. The last one was covered in the contract, but they refused to repair or replace it. I have been treated with such rudeness on the phone, and I even asked to speak to a manager, but they wouldn't let me. Stay away from Choice Home's NOT-Warranty. They cheat and gladly take your money, but when a claim comes in, they seem unwilling to listen and just say, "Oh, that's not covered" before hearing what's wrong. This company should be investigated by the authorities. Their customer service SUCKS, and I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews. Actually, this is my first. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are one big scam.

I do not recommend Choice for pool coverage. Two of my claims were denied stating it wasn't "normal wear and tear" when clearly a 25 year old system will have issues (which is why we purchased the pool portion). I appealed both claims, the first was blatantly denied due to a stripped thread (seems like normal wear and tear), the second was due to cracks in valves stating over tightening (which I never worked on)?!? Very disappointed and will not renew with them.

The technician was able to determine quickly where the leak was coming from and explained that the tube attached to the bidet burst due to a hole in the tubing. He replaced the tube and checked that there was no more water leaking from either the bidet or the toilet. The technician was able to come a day before the scheduled date due to a change in his availability which was great. He was prompt, courteous and efficient. I recommend him highly.

If I could give Choice Home Warranty (CHW) zero stars, then I would. I placed a new claim for my AC unit on May 12, 2025 and as of July 2, 2025, my AC unit still hasn't been repaired. CHW did initially assign a technician within 24 hours and the technician was at my home on May 13, 2025. I paid the $100 service fee, but the assigned technician never fixed my AC unit. He returned to my home for the same problem three times within three weeks. He canceled my fourth appointment by text message within 10 minutes (7:50pm) with no justifications. I notified CHW and they assigned me a new technician.
The new assigned technician called me five days later by phone and stated he will not fix my AC unit unless I pay them upfront themselves because CHW never paid him for the last 10 services he did for them. I notified CHW and I have not had a new assigned technician since then. CHW stated they do not have the option to refund me the $100 and stated they escalated my claim on June 27, 2025. They also gave me the other option, 30-day reimbursement. The whole purpose of paying or buying a home warranty plan are for situations like this. I shouldn't have to pay $2,000 or more out of my pocket to fix it myself and wait 30 days to be reimbursed. Is CHW that bad that no local companies want to work with them???

Infinite Life Electric did a great job diagnosing and fixing my lighting problem. My kitchen light fan would flicker, and was not bright enough. Technician said the remote was not making good connection. He bought a new system and corrected the problem. Other electric firm said they could not fix the flickering!!

I submitted a claim for one of my AC units not cooling on a Sunday evening. Monday morning, I had a technician scheduled to come between 2 pm to 5 pm but said they would tighten the window. Cool Down was awful, they picked up a contract they knew they couldn’t do. Reassigned to Patriot Services. Those guys were the best. They were prompt and kept the appointment. The tech was very friendly and helpful with the garage door opener issue we were having. The unit was smoking and the capacitor had burnt up. He quickly replaced the part and checked for any other issues that he may have seen while he was there. He made a few other recommendations should we want to make them in the future. When asked for a replacement direct from Choice, she said, "We don't offer replacement." She was firm in the offer and would not budge. Reporting my broken dishwasher online was easy and I received a response almost immediately. A technician responded within two days and determined that a particular part was needed that required CHW approval. Technician Patrick came out quickly, assessed and confirmed there is no water leak, but it looked like the evaporation drain hose got shifted and was dripping outside the pan. He cut the hose to fit properly and all is good. It appears that was the problem, so far, no leaks, ice is producing, everything is.

⭐️ 1-star review: Avoid Home Choice Warranty – waste of money. I strongly do NOT recommend Home Choice Warranty. My AC system is 15 years old, when it is expected to last only 10 years, and I’ve maintained it well to keep it running those extra 5 years. When it finally needed replacement (as the technician clearly recommended to avoid wasting more money and risking days without AC), the authorization team denied the claim. Their reason? Because the outside unit was “dirty.” Really? It’s an outdoor unit. It’s going to get dirty under normal conditions, no matter how well you maintain it.
They completely ignored how long the unit had been working due to proper maintenance and good usage. Instead, they told me I needed to prove I had done maintenance twice a year every year to qualify for the claim. If you don’t have exact evidence of that, they will use it as an excuse to deny your claim, even if your unit is well-maintained and functioning properly for many years past its expected life.
Meanwhile, you still have to pay the service provider out of pocket just for them to come and tell you your unit needs replacement, and Home Choice will do nothing to help you. Save your money. Don’t waste it on Choice Home Warranty. Pay for your repairs yourself instead of paying them to deny your claims when you need them the most.

The time it takes to get a technician takes too long. I have an issue that has never been resolved. Claim **. TotalPro keep saying that it was a crack drain tile which was impossible due to the fact the drain did not go behind the cabinets. Multiple delays and several missed appts. I filed a claim with Choice Home Warranty for a broken air conditioning unit. CHW sent a technician from a company called Advanced Air Solutions. The technician quoted me $2,544.00 in out-of-pocket charges, and at least $1,829.00 of that amount appeared to be fraudulent or unnecessary. When I tried to get an itemized invoice, the assistant at the contractor's office hung up the phone while I was on a three-way call with a CHW manager. Since then, no one has responded.
I have now been without air conditioning for over two weeks in 90+ degree Texas heat with a child in the home. Despite several follow-up calls and emails to CHW, no one has resolved the issue. I was told I would receive a callback, but no one ever followed up. Their customer service is nearly impossible to reach. This has become an issue of deliberate delay, price gouging, and contractor misconduct, with no accountability from Choice Home Warranty and they have yet to contact me nor resolve the issue at hand. We recently had a service call through CHW for our A/C unit, which was installed less than a year ago. The unit failed due to a manufacturing defect. This specific make and model was selected and installed by CHW as part of our warranty coverage. While the technician was prompt and professional, we were required to pay a service fee for the visit. Given that the unit was both newly installed and the failure was due to a manufacturer defect—not wear and tear or misuse—we believe this charge should not have been our responsibility. We respectfully ask CHW to reconsider their policy in such cases and reimburse the service fee, especially when the equipment was chosen by CHW and is still under warranty. We value the technician’s service, but hope for a more equitable resolution process moving forward.

It took almost two months and I got the run around from customer service. Choice assigned three technicians before I got resolution. The outcome wasn't satisfactory. The washer I have cost $800 and choice wouldn't replace it and only offered me $400. CHW failed to replacer my clothes washer with a washer of equal or better value. The customer service representatives only gave me two options when it came to service. One was to have another tech assigned and the other was for me to find my own tech and that tech abide by their unrealistic expectations.

I have been a member for some time & the claim fee keeps rising? And the price of the monthly payment fee rises also. I am on a fixed income & soon I will not be able to afford coverage. Is there any way I can get a loyalty discount or senior discount?

The repair portion of the claim went great. The check and the installation was very good. My only complaint was the time it took from the time the ticket was submitted until the repair was completed. It took over a week. I do understand that this is a time of year when air conditioner issues are at their highest. EP Comfort Heating & Cooling LLC was good and we will use them again.

Choice suggests their website support can be used to follow up on everything related to claims, but that has not been the case on my recent claim. It has been slow, and I had to request updates to see them, also the virtual chat removes the customer (my) comments. I am a bit disappointed.

Air Conditioner (HVAC) not cooling. Called the claim in on Friday afternoon and received an email from Choice Home that night with information on an established appointment with an AC contractor for the next day Saturday between 11am and 3pm. The contractor arrived around 12 noon on Saturday and got the system partially working again but couldn’t complete the repair because he would have to order a valve that regulates transfer of freon within the system. The contractor indicated it would be Monday before they could order the part since the parts company was closed until Monday. We will have to limp the AC system along until the part can be obtained and installed, hopefully early next week.

Submitting a claim online was easy and to check if our plumbing problem was covered. The claim quickly emailed us with what to expect next and how. Since our problem was not catastrophic a plumber appointment was scheduled within 48 hours. The plumber called ahead to inquire if he could come earlier and arrived on-time. The problem was resolved with a temporary fix until replacement parts arrive for a proper repair.

I've used Choice so far about 5 times. I have had ZERO issues with getting anything repaired. Just call and pay my small fee, choose my appointment and wait for the repair person to come fix it! In my opinion, Choice is definitely worth my peace of mind knowing whatever may happen, I'll be in good hands.

The owner was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained what was happening with my exhaust fans and told me what to do to resolve my issue. He was polite. He put on shoe covers after entering my home without me having to ask him to. He also cleaned after himself and left no debris.

We took these warranties on both our new (to us) townhome and the loft that we own. We have never used it for the loft, so far, but used the heck out of it for the townhome. In every instance it has worked out very well. We do believe that the reason for the warranty working for providers is because it offers them an opportunity to upsell. And we have gone for it in two cases.

I was extremely pleased with the service person, Tracy, was prompt, explained everything, and told me some things about the refrigerator that I didn’t know. I receive two requests to tell us about my experience and it has not been completed as of this morning. Choice Warranty will not give me a breakdown on the costs and what I am paying for. Currently I am dissatisfied. Previous claims I was paid pennies for the cost of a new appliance, which I had to pay the difference. Now the new Hot Water Heater has not been installed and no costs breakdown. I am not satisfied with this company.

I’m deeply concerned about denied claims. We purchased this home warranty for an extended period of time and now we are concerned that older systems are not actually covered which is of huge concern and not what was sold to us. Most recently our disposal stopped working and the tech came out, we paid him the service call fee of $100 and then when he told us the unit had to be replaced he said the claim was denied. Since we still needed it fixed we had to pay an additional $310 to have the replacement part and labor for installation. This should not have cost us $410. The tech was great but the denied claim has still not been explained. The $100 should have gone toward the the total and not in addition too.

If I could give zero stars, I would actually give negative stars, which would be my true rating. Somehow, the technician diagnosed that my AC unit needed to be replaced, and CHW denied the claim as routine maintenance. That is just about the silliest thing I have ever heard. I even followed up with the technician, and he told me he reported everything he told me after the service about the unit needing replacement. Other than CHW trying to get out of a high-cost claim, I do not know how such a huge difference between the CHW denial and the actual diagnosis could occur.

Every time I call, it is impossible to get a live agent. It is very frustrating and disheartening. I am trying to get a water heater. We pay a hefty amount so we can get help for emergency situations like this but can't seem to get help. I have already taken a day off from work to get the job done, but I can't seem to get in touch with anyone to confirm.

He wore booties when entering my home, checked my system thoroughly, and made sure the dogs didn’t get out. My A/C stopped working at about 10:30 at night, but it was cool outside so it was not too bad. I called CHW at 7:40 the next morning and they got me an appointment for between 8 and 12 the next morning. I called Lioness Air Conditioning at 4:45 in the afternoon to make sure they were going to be there the next day and expressed to the lady I wish they could come sooner. At 6:20 that evening I received a call from Lioness and he said he could be here at 7:40 if I was ok with that and of course I was. He came at 7:40 and fixed my A/C! I was super happy and he was great!

My hot water heater served me very well for the last 21 years but it started leaking so I knew it was time for a replacement. I have been a Choice Warranty customer since 2016 so placed a claim to replace the unit. I received an invitation from a claims representative for a conference call since I had questions on the non-covered charges that I would have to pay out of pocket. Jessica went through the needed expenses and gave me the amount that Choice Warranty would cover under my plan. The technicians who came to replace the unit were very courteous and worked hard to do the install. They cleaned up in a timely manner. I know the new heater will not hold up like my old one but will keep fingers crossed.

Extremely disappointed with Choice Home Warranty. They consistently took my monthly fees but the moment I needed real help, they backed out. When a repair exceeded $500, they suddenly found loopholes and excuses to deny coverage. It felt like their business model is built on avoidance rather than assistance. In my experience, they’re not trustworthy and offer little real value when it counts most. I strongly urge others to steer clear and look elsewhere for a warranty company that actually honors their commitments.

I thought the price was high. My home warranty only covered the broke belt. The other I covered. Over 500 additional for maintenance of rollers and one other small thing. Not covered by warranty. There were 2 different days sent and 3 different times that the tech would be there. It took 7 days for repair. Had circumstances been different, this could have been a big issue. As I could not have gotten my car out for a week.o

The last claim I put in for my washer the guy was awesome even though he didn't keep me updated of what was going on. I had to contact him after a week went by. The entire process of making a claim was very disturbing. Multiple telephone calls waiting for my case manager to call me back. A $500 gift card to Lowe's for an $800 dryer was an insult. And, I have to wait one month for the card. I have so much more to say but I'll leave that right here. I own a real estate company and we send all our business to Choice. That will change moving forward.

Our air conditioner stopped blowing cold air on Monday of this week. We then contacted the warranty company, which sent a tech from Cool Storm Air Service in Metairie to our home. Within minutes, they identified the problem with the capacitor and replaced it. The air compressor began working immediately.

My name is Jimmy ** and I live in Lufkin, Texas. I have had a contract with Choice Home Warranty since 7-1-2019. On June 9, 2025 I started a claim on my freezer. It was not freezing correctly with the temperature varying from day to day. Choice Home had assigned me 2 separate technicians of which no one showed up as of today. I contacted Choice Home daily and still received no firm action, just a note, "We will help you as much as possible." Danielle offered me $300.00 to go toward either getting my freezer repaired myself or toward buying another freezer. Today I cancelled my policy and would not recommend this company for home warranty work. I lost quite a bit of food and they made no effort in giving me money to replace the loss. Fed up in Texas.

The repaired was scheduled for four days from filing my claim. The technician repaired the sink leaks and also found that the faucet was leaking, which I was unaware of. The extra repair was accepted by Choice and in a few days I had a new faucet. I am happy with my experience but wish I could have had a choice in the style of the new faucet.

The repair time from the calling in of the request on 6/19/25 to the estimated completion time of 7/3/25 seems excessive. We had to follow up with the technician to get an estimated completion date. It seems there should be better communication with the client and a shorter closeout of the needed repair. Even though this is not a highly critical item, it is still important for some quality control with a maximum turnaround time.

When my $4,000 fridge broke, I had a newborn at home. The first repair company they assigned never came back. The second repair failed within 3 days. I went four months without a fridge, during a time when I was also dealing with postpartum depression. I lost all my food and stored breast milk, spent hundreds of dollars replacing groceries and buying takeout, and eventually had to buy a small fridge out of pocket just to store essentials for my baby. I also spent countless hours calling the company, stuck on hold, explaining the situation over and over again.
I had to escalate my claim to a manager Lydia ** who is not suited for a role in customer service, especially not one that involves speaking to people in distress. She constantly interrupted me, spoke over me, used a defensive and condescending tone, and showed absolutely no empathy or willingness to help. During this time, I was going through postpartum depression, and the way she dismissed me and spoke to me could have pushed someone in my situation to a breaking point. She had no idea what I was going through, and her attitude just makes things worse.
If Lydia ** is going to remain in a customer-facing or managerial role, she needs immediate retraining in empathy and communication, because kindness, patience, and listening are not optional in customer service. The company also needs to seriously evaluate the kind of people they put in charge of handling already stressed-out customers. You never know who’s on the other end of the line. This company clearly operates with one priority: to protect their bottom line, not their customers. The company failed me, but Lydia ** made it personal. I hope someone in leadership sees this and realizes the harm that can be done by putting the wrong person in the wrong position.

I had to resort to the reimbursement option in order to have my septic pumped because Choice Home Warranty was not able to find a company to pump it for me. This is in the plan I chose and am paying for and I still cannot get the pumping done until next Tuesday by Howard Septic. I do not know if they are in the network and they do not know either. So, I wait until next week and in the meantime suffer through toilets that will not flush and showers that back up. On the other hand, Choice Home Warranty was right on when they were able to get someone to take care of my A/C problem. So, kudos there. You do not want images.

I’ve been with Choice Warranty for almost 3 years now and this is my second claim. The first claim was for my AC on my house. The AC went out and my house was at 98°. It took them roughly about a week to get a repair person out. They came out and repaired my AC just recently within the last week, I did a claim for my refrigerator and it took about two weeks for them to get someone out, but once the guy came out and checked everything the turnaround time for them to replace my refrigerator was within three days. On June 11, 2025, I called Choice Home Warranty to file a claim. The person I spoke to I told him/her that I have not had hot water since June 9, 2025, today is Friday June 27, 2025, I have not gotten my water heater repaired, Monday will be two weeks with no hot water, the technician that came by was very kind and informative, but I have not heard from anyone when it will actually be fixed or replaced.

If the install is as successful, I will request using him for future projects. One of the biggest criteria when using contractors is following through with a job. Our water heater busted from the top and flooded our garage and we had to call a plumber and replace it immediately and came to find out you supposed call the warranty company and let one of their affiliate to come and check it out within 24 to 48 hours if it needs to be covered. Are we supposed to let it keep flooding and damage other things while we wait 24 to 48 hours. Doesn’t make no damn sense.

Could not fix my microwave and only gave me half of what it was worth. And for the AC, it took over 2 weeks of discussions for them to fix my AC unit.

When I purchased my policy, I was told that if it could not be fixed it would be replaced. When my washing machine would not work, I called for a repairman who came 2 days later, looked at the machine, who explained he would need to order a part. A week later, a repairman came with a part,installed it and the machine still would not work. After many calls, I was finally told that the part was not available. Choice Home Warranty refused to replace the machine and offered me approximately 1/3 of the replacement cost of the machine. Basically, I was told take it or leave it---the choice was mine. Don't believe the promise of replacement.
