The plumber worked with my schedule and was very prompt. He quickly and efficiently assessed the problem and figured out the repair needs. He fixed the toilet leak and was in and out in a very short time and my toilet leak was repaired. He took the time to explain how to avoid future problems of this type.

Choice reduces the worry about leasing our home in another, distant state. The response time was excellent from both Choice and the selected vendor. The vendor was prompt and professional explaining what he did and recommendations for future issues. We subscribed to other services before but feel that switching to Choice was the best option over other warranty services.

Last Friday late morning we didn't have any hot water. I made a call and a claim was filed and I asked about using a plumber locally that we have used in the past and gave the name of company. I was told to submit my receipt upon completion of the work. The paperwork was sent to me quickly. On Tuesday I received my invoice from the plumber and it was over $100 limit, I called and was told to submit the reimbursement form and invoice to start the claim. I received a call from Joel who informed me that because the repairman had not called in to get authorization. This step had not been explained to me on Friday when I talked with the representative. Joel worked very hard to resolve the issue. I will be referring my family to this company.

Good service from vendor, very professional and arrived to my home in timely matter. Gave great advice in his recommendation to continue yearly inspections for our unit (Air condition). Very polite and professional at his work. Would definitely use his service in the future.

Our Dryer stopped heating. I sent in a claim online that night, which is very easy. A repair person was sent out just 2 days later. Needed a part ordered. The part came in quick and the repair person came back in less than a week to fix it. Wonderful customer service and great quick service.

I called CHW Tuesday and told Cristen I lost power in different parts of the house and we could not figure what it was and within a few hours received a call and email telling us who they got for me and set up the time. Was happy with the service.

Great service, my AC went out on a Saturday and on Monday it was repaired. The customer service representative and the technician were very professional and eager to help me with this situation. I feel that this warranty was well worth the money!!!

Each step of the way from quote to using, they have followed through on each promise or statement. Worked with Jimmy in Sales to make sure the right plan was selected. Then we made sure that other properties I had could also get coverage as needed.

My dryer was fix in a timely manner. I have been with Choice 2 yr. I am so glad I have them. I have no worries when anything breaks in my house. The monthly fees are reasonable. The contractor are great, friendly and on time.You always know what you have to pay.

I didn’t think it (dryer) was covered but to my surprise, it was! The repair guy came to assess the issue and ordered the parts, scheduled to come back the following week and came back the following week. He did a good job fixing it. Finally, I can wash and dry clothes. Thanks!

I called in my service request, the lady that answered was super nice. The assigned plumber contacted me within 30 minutes and scheduled to fix my problem the next day. I was sent a text immediately after speaking with Choice confirming my appointment. I’ve used other home warranty services but didn’t receive the service like Choice. I highly recommend using Choice. I am 100% satisfied.

My a/c was not working properly and it was 100 degrees outside. After a brief hold, the Choice representative said I would hear from a technician right away. I received an email immediately and a phone call from the technician shortly thereafter. Great customer service!

My garage door was not opening and it sounded like it was in the motor. I called and it was covered. A garage service rep called me the same day and it was fixed the next. Be sure and read your contract carefully before signing to see what is covered but they are very good at getting service to you immediately when called. Service reps are friendly and professional. Good value for the price.

Pump out septic tank, company sent out courteous service technician. Made sure the job was done correctly. Also explained what he was doing and what to look for concerning future issues. Cleaned thoroughly and replaced the section of the yard where the grass was dug up. Offered to even bring back soil to level the low spot in the front yard due to removing the septic tank lid.

Repair washing machine - Called on Sunday, repairman was here Tuesday. Part had to be ordered and repairman said that he would call to set up appointment to return when part came in. He estimated 2 to 4 days. I wish that he could have fixed it Tuesday but I understand that he had to get approval to order part.

They were very professional on the job they provided for all my problems. I thank them for doing such an outstanding job. Thank you for everything that you did. Had some problems but they came through of what needed to be done and of course they doubled checked everything that had it’s problems. Plus they found another problem that they locate and fixed that as well.

Daryl with Daromel Mechanical came out to repair my blower on the HVAC unit. Took a look and is replacing PBC/BCB board, got the ok to replace it, and as soon as it comes in he will call and replace it. He was very knowledgeable and polite.

I requested a quote and was called promptly. After told how it works, I asked if there was a limit on how much they would pay towards the replacement of a furnace. The salesperson said it's covered 100%. On the Consumer Affairs website, it states that only $1500 would be covered toward the replacement. When I stated that, the salesmen just hung up the phone. Buyer Beware!

Outstanding service and quality workmanship (Leaking Garbage Disposal). Technician was courteous and efficient. Choice Home Warranty was responsive. I had been with American Home Shield for over 20 years and became disappointed with their service while living in Texas the last 5 years. Plus, after 20 plus years of loyalty, AHS wanted to double my premiums and deductible at renewal time. I decided it was time to try another company. Researching all of the great reviews with Choice Home Warranty, I switched to CHW. Glad I did. I am a happy camper.

I have heard many horror stories about the company. I have had two claims and both were contracted out within 24 hours. There hasn't been any major issues but the two issues I had were stove top went out and a pluming issue. Again, I can't complain...

I had to get a plumber out and of course I called Choice Home Warranty. The lady that took my call was very friendly and took care of my problem right away. I was called that same day by a plumber and they scheduled to come out within 2 days. My plumbing need wasn't urgent so the 2 days later didn't bother me at all. The plumber that came out was prompt, courteous, and efficient. I am very happy I have Choice Home Warranty to cover my unexpected repair needs.

Toilet tanks was overflowing, flush valves would not cut off even after trying to adjust them, causing water to continually run out of the overflow. Solution was to cut off water supply to toilet until replacing the flush values. Flush valves were replaced and systems now work fine.

I have heard a lot of bad things about home warranty companies. I have to say that I have experienced the opposite. I had a problem with my washing machine, and they sent over a technician to look at it. Within an hour after the technician left. I received a call from Choice Home Warranty stating that they would be sending me a check to replace it! Thank you!

Horrible customer service, Every time I call item not covered. Water heater leaked. Every advertisement from them covers water heater. My internal tank was leaking that is not covered. When talking to plumber, he said he never heard of that not being covered. He also said that is the most common thing to go wrong. I cancelled the contract. I has them 3 months no service calls and they refunded my $237 out of $415. They is their version of prorating. Buyer beware.

Occasionally my shower stall drain will clog. I submitted my claim to Choice Home Warranty and the technician contacted me soon after. When he arrived he not only fixed the problem in a reasonable amount of time, he gave me several very practical tips on how to avoid the stoppage in the future.

AC broke down last year and Choice Home Warranty sent a contractor that showed up several hours late with excuses about his truck breaking down. Finally showed up and promised next day repair but never showed up. Made several calls to the contractor and home team to get the matter solved. Home team ended up scheduling another contractor. In the meantime the first contractor shows up late one evening at our front door with the part...6 days late. I live in Arizona where the days were 120 degrees. He brought a friend with him that talked about just getting released from jail. I have a wife and daughter that could have been home alone. I have no idea what he served time for but this is unacceptable.
AC went out again this year and I called a reputable company with reputable policies and people. I went through the proper procedures with Choice Home for reimbursement. They told me that since they could assign a contractor the next day that my choice to use an honest repairman could be denied. For the safety of my family I chose to use the reputable company. My AC was fixed within 3 hours of my call. Choice Home reimbursed $220 of an $800 bill with no explanation of how they arrived at this decision.
In my case their so called background check failed. When in a heated conversation explaining my action to a home team rep I was told by her that everyone deserves second chances. I asked if she would accept an Ex con into her house. I don't think she responded. In my case taking 6 days to repair a fan motor that is readily available through any reputable AC company was unacceptable. The smart attitude of their rep was also brought to her attention as I was talking to her. She quickly retracted her attitude once it was brought up.
In my opinion a 1 rating is not low enough. This company should be blacklisted. They are dishonest and don't send reputable companies to your house. Expect a person with limited tools and parts and expect an untimely repair. Good luck and beware. I will continue my quest to warn as many people I can about this company. You have been warned.

The technician was courteous, knowledgeable, and really cleaned up after himself, as he had to remove one of two toilets to fix the blockage on both. We really appreciated how quickly we received service from the time we set the initial claim.

As a real estate agent, I have recommended and bought many policies through Choice Home Warranty, but until recently, we found out that our own furnace wasn't covered. They only cover mechanical failure because our heat exchanger cracked and that part was not part of the coverage. Most heat furnace failure is due to the heat exchanger cracking. How conveniently they exclude the coverage to the most fail part of the furnace. Never going to recommend nor purchase another policy from Choice Home Warranty ever again. Terrible company! Terrible customer service! Terrible coverage!

Garbage Disposal Repair - It was so easy and hassle free to submit a claim with CHW. It usually the next technician appear to fix but this time it was 3 days later (probably) to make to weekend! The technician called and appeared on scheduled time. Reviewed the motor and replaced it with a new one. It's that simple.

I've had to submit two claims to fix a toilet by no fault of Choice Home Warranty. Both claims that I've submitted were very easy to do and I got almost an immediate response. The wait time on the phone was minimal and in both situations, I had an appointment time within the hour. I've appreciated how easy the company is to work with.

I called on Wednesday the 18th of October and by Friday the 20th we had Jim Hill heating and cooling looking at the heater found out it was the motor by Sunday he was putting the new motor in and now we have heat and air. Great service. We had no power in the light sockets in the garage. The electric company responded quickly. The electrician check all of the outlet's and found a wire loose in the wall socket outside. So they replaced the old socket with a new one.

Both my ac units went out, 1 not working, the other needing Freon. I filed a claim online and quickly received a confirmation. The next day I received a call to schedule a service call. The technician called before he arrived letting me know he was on the way and thoroughly checked out both units and let me know what he was doing, took pictures of what he found and explained what went wrong. He had them up and running in no time. I paid the service call fee and it was all very easy and affordable.

The associate assigned to the order (Toilet leaking) came at the appointed time. He was courteous and made the repair in a professional manner. We are quite pleased with the entire process. I was especially pleased with the agent that I spoke with and all in all it was a pleasant experience even though it was due to a problem at our home. The provider, Don, was OUTSTANDING! He explained what was wrong and how he was going to correct it. He explained the problems with the previous dump pump installation and corrected it accordingly. He explained why my basement flooded, not just due to the dead pump he was replacing but also the improper installation.

Washing machine making really loud sound through the spin cycle. CHW had a service company call within hours and had someone out the next day. The machine part was not worth fixing due to cost and age of the machine (13 yrs,) CHW called within a couple of days and said they would send me a check to defray the cost of replacing the washing machine. I was very pleased.

We recently had our roof repaired. The work was done without submitting a prior claim to CHW. Afterward we submitted the claim by contacting CHW. They were unable to give us a full reimbursement for the full repair but we are pleased with the amount we did receive.

This was a complicated repair, and my garage door opener still wouldn't work. Choice worked w/ me to get it fixed and settled my claim fairly. The repair process has taken over a month but Choice worked w/ me so I could keep the original equipment.

I submitted my claim for my oven on October 4th. I expected to have to wait at least a week before someone would be available. A repair center in my area called and was at my home the following day. The part was ordered and the technician replaced it promptly once it arrived.

Two days ago when the temperature outside was 98 degrees our AC failed, I called Choice Home Warranty who dispatched a technician Travis the following day. Travis diagnosed the problem submitted the paperwork and the following day the work was approved and Travis returned and repaired the AC. Thanks to all involved.

The L&F HVAC service person began his professional manner even before he came to my home by giving me a phone call to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived at my house he was not only professional, but pleasant. I am really very impressed with the overall service. I interacted with Choice Home Claim Department, Service Team in Home and Claim Closing Discussion. Everything was too smooth and fast. My electric water heater wasn't getting the water hot. The tech knew immediately what the problem was, heating elements. He replaced them and stayed until he knew I had hot water. Awesome professional. He called to confirm time and arrived in a timely manner.

Upon contacting Choice with my pool claim, the representative was very prompt and professional. I was contacted within 48 hours by the contractor and my pool was repaired the next day! Excellent customer service! Although the repairs were greater than the warranty allowed, the repairs were completed and the contractor was also very professional and prompt! Email correspondence from Choice was also very concise, accurate and informative.

This particular week we had experienced two conditions of problems with our dishwasher and washing machine. In both cases CHW responded efficiently and with knowledgeable repair technicians. Antonio with Anytime Home Services was exceptional. He was very efficient. I was satisfied with the jobs he did. As for speaking with someone from Choice Warranty they need to improve the English language. The person I spoke with was very hard to understand.

Buyer beware with this warranty company. Seems to me they are in cahoots with the technicians they dispatch. Had an AC problem and after I paid the $45 and an additional $99 for a leak test, it was confirmed I had a leak in my AC. The claim was denied because the technician told Choice that it was due to rust and/or corrosion. Which, conveniently is not covered under the warranty so the repair was not covered. I asked to see pictures and the repair estimate and was told they don't have that. The only thing they had was a recommendation from the technician that it was due to rust and/or corrosion and that's not covered.
I got a call from the technician the next day asking if I still wanted to do the repair. Coincidence, I think not. I had a separate problem with my AC after that and decided to go with my own technician. When I explained the past experience I had with the Choice technician he said that there is no way their diagnosis was correct. I paid this $212 to repair the issue at hand, and then submitted the claim to Choice.
They will only cover $65 of this repair. I feel this company is happy to take in your premium, but uses every available technique to not try to pay out claims. I wish I had not purchased this warranty in the first place. Definitely do your research because it seems there are more exclusion than inclusion when it comes to repair, and the technicians they work with know what won't be covered so they can get your repairs outside of the warranty process. Total scam.

Very quick response after reporting the problem (faulty garbage disposal)... a new part had to be ordered. The person stated that he would pick up the part and return in 48 hours to finish the repair. So far the contact has been very pleasant and very efficient.

I followed every rule. Had my air conditioner regularly serviced twice per year since I've owned the home. Been continuously covered without lapse by other home warranty companies. Switched to Choice at renewal. 4 months into the contract, the air conditioner broke. They said it was a preexisting issue and will not cover it. My regular serviceman fixed it; it was not a preexisting problem. The next year, it broke again. They said it is still from the preexisting condition that never existed. Their serviceman was wrong and they will not cover the air today or ever, and they will not refund the price I paid for the contract, all because of their technician's incompetence.
They also denied a claim for my pool, because the pool filter is outside in the elements. That is where pool filters belong. Their technician said that every home warranty company he has ever heard of covers the issue except for them. My fridge has been broken for 3 months. They have sent their technician 3 times. He cannot fix the problem. They have not contacted me not even one time. I have to call and be put on hold for over 30 minutes each time I call, only to be told that they will send someone else. This is absolutely the worst company I have ever used. I will never ever renew with them. They are dishonest and unhelpful. Every experience has been bad.

Our microwave oven quit. Choice Home contacted a contractor to come out and service it. He deemed it un-repairable. Choice Home said to go and buy one and put it in and, "We will reimburse you something." I thought, "Yea right." So we went bought another microwave and had it installed and moved forward. Our inside unit of the air conditioner was not coming on temperature in house was 86. I shut off A.C., called CHW, they sent Island Breeze AC the next day. Tech arrived on time, checked out AC. He found no problem. Next day the problem was back, called again. This time tech found the problem. He replace a part and it is running fine now.

I am SHOCKED at all of these great reviews about Choice! I feel obligated to let you know MY experience: Substandard contractors that misdiagnose and claims are denied. (Tech wrote wrong item number down for a part and since it was a wrong number, told me "there was no part available to repair"). I was offered a settlement price. When we DID find the part OURSELVES online, and paid for the part to be shipped then Choice would not reimburse me for the part, only the tech's labor. This was supposed to be a covered item.
If you use them to do any minor repairs and then that unit breaks they'll deny your claim as a "pre-existing condition" (had this happen when a pool pump gasket was replaced, a few months later the pump failed and they denied coverage. Even the tech said the failure was completely unrelated. I paid extra for coverage on this item-denied. If you try to reason with them on a legitimate claim they'll tell you they'll "send it to the review committee" and then NEVER get back to you - I'm still waiting to hear from the committee on a hot water heater claim from two years ago... Which again, was supposed to be a covered item.
If they come out and the contractor is able to "jiggle something around" and then the unit appears to be working, albeit, "barely" they'll deny your claim because "NO PARTS WERE ORDERED" and make you pay the whole claim to the tech... Even if they approve the claim and give an approval code, they still can deny paying the contractor for whatever reason they found not to pay them and that contractor will try to come after YOU to pay them. YES, this has ALL happened to me. Sadly, I had opted for the "three year special" so I was stuck. I have since been paying my own qualified people to do any work and not even bothering with making the call to them, knowing I'll be denied for everything anyway and saving my service fee. Frankly, I do NOT know how they have such a good rating, but take my word-it has not been anywhere close to a good experience with Choice Home Warranty.

The master bathroom toilet was running, and the water bill increased 67%. I called CHOICE Home Warranty and was immediately assigned an authorized service technician. I called the assigned vendor and scheduled an appointment. The plumber arrived, assessed and fixed the problem without hesitation. I paid the required service fee and the claim was closed. I signed in within few minutes and they are so good with that and taking your credit card and money. When my microwave was not working I called them and they let me wait for like an hour on the phone to get a claim. Then three days later a technician came and diagnosis the microwave and said he will get the materials from them. Three weeks later I called to check and they said the technician gave all wrong information about the microwave as if he has inspected another one. And it took me so far 10 calls, three weeks of the same call with nothing. Every time someone new calls you asking you the same question, what is the model no and serial no and nothing and now they want to send me a new technician to do this and we are back to square 1... When I ask them to cancel the policy and refund my money they said, “We can't refund you all your money,” and they escape the subject.
When I told them, “but the issue is your mistake by sending me the wrong technician,” they repeat the same thing, “we need to send a new technician...” Simply put, this is the worst experience I had, they are scam, useless and I don't think I will get anything replaced or fixed from this scam company -- don't read the stars online -- and don't fall for them... Avoid them at all cost – it’s nerve racking working with them... Plus they put you on hold for like 45 - 50 minutes every time you call -- I called them 9 times, do the math… I will give them minus 5 stars if I can.

Needed a new balance or new fixture.He went to purchase new fixture, and 2 new bulbs. After installing new fixture, one of the new bulbs was no good. He had to go get a new one.It finally worked! CHW does a timely job in scheduling. To be honest, I was not satisfied with the diagnosis of contractor (incorrect). Had to call another service provider that correct the problem and when I notified CHW and provided them with appropriate documents, I was reimbursed for the service fee and cost of repair in a very timely manner. After Harvey, we resigned ourselves to the fact that getting a service technician would be impossible! We called Choice Warranty and they sent a repairman out in a couple of days. I have an above range microwave oven that continues to blow fuses. I have had the fuses replaced on 3 separate occasions using CHW recommended service companies. There is an obvious fault with the microwave. The first claim for the blown fuse was in August 2017. The microwave worked for a little more than 60 days and the fuse blew again. The second claim was on October 4th. The fuse was replaced on October 6th with the technician telling us that there was most likely a internal fault causing the fuse to blow. The 3rd fault was on Oct 15th. The technician came to the house on October 16th and called CHW recommending replacement of the microwave due to an internal fault. The request to replace the microwave was denied, with CHW telling the tech to replace the fuse again. I am dissatisfied with the service that I am getting from CHW in regards to this claim.

After an initial inability to get through to a Choice contact person the first night, I did reach someone the next day. I called the repair person and he told me he would definitely arrive that afternoon. He did and it only took him about an hour to fix an electrical issue and get my AC system up and running again. I have finally made the right CHOICE in a home warranty company. After purchasing CHW I had a problem with my dishwasher and I was told that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. CHOICE contacted one of its authorized service companies (Go Appliance Technician "GoAT"). When the company contacted me they were very professional and courteous. The AC in my house stopped cooling so I contacted Choice Home Warranty, they dispatched a contracted technician, the technician checked the unit and said I have a leak in the coils and they need replacement. While the technician still at my house I contacted CHW and told them what the technician said, the adjuster asked the technician for pictures. He took pictures and sent it to the adjuster, the adjuster right away said, "We don't cover because the leak is caused by corrosion." The technician said these are aluminum coils don't rust, the discoloration on the coil is cause by the Freon leak. The adjuster told the technician, "You don't know and you are not supposed to say that." To make story short they refused to pay for anything, I filed complaint with the BBB. They offered to pay me back the remainder of my premium but I refused. These people are fraud.

For as little as I have needed Choice, this was a quick and easy experience. Though the service contractor I was assigned to, scheduled for Thur, I called them and told them I was working from home on Wed. They had a cancellation and fit me in. They actually had (2) guys come out, as the first one couldn't fix, so he called his boss. Fixed quickly and efficiently. If I only had one critique, it was a company where they spoke Spanish to each other and I felt that I was not in the loop at times, but overall it was fixed to my satisfaction.

We had flooding in our basement due to sump pump failure and I put in a claim. They send a guy next day and he didn't check anything, just looked at sump pump, took $40 and left. We had flooding again and then I called warranty again. They said they will send the same guy again to verify his work, I told them if they could send someone else and they said that will take another day or two and we can hire independent contractor and submit reimbursement for the same. As flooding needed immediate attention we hired independent contractors and now we are requesting reimbursement and they are saying no to that. I was planning to extend my warranty but after this horrible experience, I myself is going to cancel the warranty and also I am going to place as many reviews possible to spread awareness not to buy this warranty, customer service is horrible and rude. I wish there was an option to give negative stars this warranty.

Our dishwasher was not completing cycle properly. We were getting "EO" error message. Technician came & changed the pump but problem was not resolved. He suggested us that sensor is not working. He said he will order the sensor & will be back in 48 hours. He came back after 3 days & changed the sensor. Now it works well.

My check valve was broke so I called CHW at 5 AM & a dispatch order was arranged. At 7 AM contractor info was sent to me & I called him to arrange arrival time. Gunther plumbing showed on time, did great job & they were done in less than 30 min. I highly recommend them.

Choice did a fine job this time. The representative was helpful and efficient. Two branches of the same appliance company called me to set up an appointment and claimed it was due to a new system that Choice had implemented involving email, so there was a bit of a snafu there, however my dryer was fixed fine and except for the communication between Choice and the appliance company, things were fine.

Mr. ** arrived right at the time he promised. He evaluated the fridge a realized what had happened. He took out enough of the fridge parts to access the area he needed and started melting and chipping out ice. He told me what the problem had been (a leaking valve) and said he would replace the valve as soon as he got authorization.

The AC was repaired promptly. When I purchased the warranty plan I informed the agent that this house was built in 1976 and had old appliances and he told me it didn't matter it would still be covered. I do regular maintenance on everything here but that does not mean that these appliances are not old. I would be very disappointed since the agent talked me into a three-year contract that something would not be covered because it was old. I do maintain and change my filters every month. If this is going to be a problem then let me know.

My air conditioner stopped cooling. I called Choice Warranty on a Friday and told them the problem with the unit. A service technician came out first thing Monday morning. He repaired the A/C unit, added Freon, and had it up and running in an hour. Very courteous gentlemen. Excellent service. Highly recommend Choice Warranty.

The customer service representative began his response to my claim by suggesting terms to describe my problem only to then inform me at the end of his "information gathering" that because I had used a specific term (that he suggested) to describe the problem - that it would not be covered. My issue was a water stoppage to our shower that has made the shower unusable.
The rep informed me that only "drain" lines are covered under their "plumbing system/stoppage" support and that is no provision to assist a policyholder if there is a stoppage of water flowing to a shower, sink, or tub. Rather they only offer support to a drain issue and then only to 100ft from the access point. Additionally, I have had this policy for 7 weeks and despite two requests for a copy of the insurance policy - still have received nothing and must access their website and read their "flyer" to determine what coverage I have on this property.

When our AC broke on October 3rd, I went online to my Choice Home Warranty account and ordered service. Less than an hour later I received a call from CV3 company that they are ready to come in one hour to check the AC. I was at work. Then we made an appointment with them for another day. The Tech came on time, checked on the AC. The AC fan motor needed replacement. The tech called the parts company and Choice Home Warranty, the repair was approved in a minute. Tech picked up the part and came back, fixed the AC. Paid the service fee of $60. This was top service, fast and we had no hassle. I recommend Choice Home Warranty to everyone.

The toilet tank would not fill up with water thus making it unable to flush. Within a very short time, after calling Choice Home Warranty, we had a call from our assigned plumber. He arrived very timely and after putting in a new part, the toilet worked fine. The plumber was very courteous and professional. The other wonderful thing is that the charge was only $45 which is half of what we would have had to pay with our previous home repair contract with another company. I've had nothing but problems with this company. They're slow to make repairs, then the stock answer is, "Oh that is not covered." The last time they did this it actually WAS covered according to their own policy. They had the vendor give me a copy of my policy, however it was NOT the actual policy, I looked at mine and the repair actually was covered. But CHW refused to pay it, so I paid the vendor and then followed up with my state attorney general's office. Thankfully once the AG was involved CHW reversed their position and reimbursed me.
Also be aware that they are headquartered in NJ and there was a class action suit that was settled by that state's AG. So if you have an issue and fight, you can win. Now there's another repair they claim is not covered. I have to return to study my policy book and deal with it while in the midst of moving out of this home. I don't know if there is a reputable home warranty company, but I can't recommend this one.

I had problem with my air conditioner. The first time when the technician came he was able to identify the problem with valve leak at the compressor. He replaced it and added a pound of freon. Replace breaker switch - I called to see if I was covered for the problem I was having. I was told that I was covered, and my claim was processed very promptly. I was given a date and time that the electrician would come. While he did not arrive within the time I was given, it was shortly after. That was satisfactory. The electrician was friendly and very accommodating. Everything was fixed.

I cannot express how much stress/anger/wasted time we have gone through with this rip off "company" in just 4 months!! I shopped around before looking for a Home Warranty and I read a lot of "reviews." I was amazed of how much good feedback and experiences they showed to have that I decided this was the one. The way they get their "good" reviews is by giving there customers free monthly service when they give good feedback/good surveys. I however will not be bought that way and I like giving my honest truthful opinion. I paid a lot of money to have this warranty. I am not a wealthy person. I can't afford to lose money in the way I have now with CHW. This is why I am posting my experience and giving my opinion. I wouldn't want what happened to me to happen to someone else, please save your money and do not throw it giving it to this company.
CHW were so pleasant to talk to at the beginning but once I called that I needed service, it all changed. From the way they schedule your service to the time it takes for a Tech to come service the problem to the way the Tech handles the repair. So with all this stressful/hassle/headache/wasted time I decided I'm done. I want my money back. I was expecting to get prorated so I had this warranty for 4 months. Paid $345 upfront for one year. After the prorating, $50 canceling fee, charge for the garbage disposal repair (since it was done during these past 4 months) I am now left with $38 refund. I find this to be insane!!!
Please, Please do not waste your hard earn money on this company and if you do decide to get them READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE because they sure like to repeat that on their calls. They like to point out it's written in there. And of course they're going to be all polite and sound pleasant when they're trying to take advantage of your money and say, "Call me back" And give you there "personal" number. They don't say, "Hey have you read our terms and conditions policy whats cover whats not" before they take your money.

Our AC stopped working. I called Choice Home Warranty. The whole phone call took about 4 minutes. Received an email immediately and another one an hour later confirming a technician would be out to my house later that day. Technician came and fixed in 20 minutes, paid my $45 fee and my AC is up and working perfectly again. Highly recommend and very professional.
