In doing market research on home warranty programs, I was called by this company. I was only looking for information. The sales person was only interested in making a sale. I felt pressured into getting the service. After conducting more research, I request to stop this service due to misleading information... stating it was a number one company... when it was only a C+ on the BBC site, as well as many bad reviews regarding the service and claims experience.

We purchased our home in Venice 3 1/2 years ago. We were new to area. I signed up with Choice Warranty since we had no knowledge of area contractors. We have complied with their “maintenance” requirement. This year we called a contractor for a maintenance check on our air/heating. When he came he said that one coil was leaking, the other severely corroded. He would not even attempt to try to do any cleaning since he felt it would “disintegrate” the coil” - also noting if that happened there were no longer parts available for this model.
He suggested a new unit and provided a bid. We then called Choice to have their contractor come out. He basically said the same thing and added 1 lb of Freon to the leaking coil. We then get a call from Jessica a claims supervisor who informs us that we are not covered because we did not meet the maintenance agreement! How is that possible!! I have filed a complaint with the Florida State Insurance Commission as well as the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

The technician scheduled me for today, an earlier time instead of Thursday, 2 days later. I really appreciated that since I had to turn my water off due to a broken pipe. He stayed late and repaired my plumbing so I could turn the water back on. My biggest concern was with the company's automated appointment scheduling system that doesn't allow the agent to make adjustments or indicate special problems or situations, which can be very frustrating. That really needs to be changed in order to provide better customer service!!!

The service person has fixed the issue. Due to over power usage, 3 rooms were out of power. Apart from putting on the trip off switch, the service person did something else to correct this issue. Email alert service is excellent.

Jim Wilson Plumbing was very courteous and prompt. They even wore shoe protectors into my house so that they would not rack in mud and water as it was raining heavily today. He diagnosed the problem very rapidly and had the disposal changed out quite rapidly. I was very satisfied with the service and I will recommend him to my friends.

My service is not complete so I can't rate my experience at this time. I called on Saturday got an appointment for Monday. That part was very prompt. The technician arrived and now I am waiting to hear back from Choice or the technician.

I started my search for such a program and wanted to check out a other companies as I would normally do, but I had some difficulty getting understanding of this. Ultimately, I decided Choice had what I needed. Now I am looking forward to see how this plays out servicing a claim. I expect this to be a very good experience.

I clarified before purchasing a policy that I could receive an invoice for the remaining balance so the title agency could pay out the difference. I was told this WAS possible however I have yet to receive this. I got an invoice for the full amount with a note under seller’s information explaining the remaining balance. This is not sufficient for the title company in this case. If this can be resolved please let me know otherwise I may need to cancel my order.

Looking for a more comprehensive and less expensive policy on our new home. Seller provided 1st year with another company and we were not satisfied. "BRITTANY" could not have been nicer, more informed or enthusiastic about your product. She alone convinced us to do business with your company!

I have been having CHW for almost 3 years and referred some of my friends as well. But when something broke in your home, they are not covering anything. They are coming up all sort of reasons like wear/tear /rust/old etc. etc... to close the claim. For my past couple of claims they didn't cover anything for last 1 year. THE WORST COMPANY I HAD EVER KNOWN. Even for diagnosis, I paid out of my pocket $200 to do leak test for my A/C. But end of the day they are not ready to cover anything at all. Last year when my washer broke, they didn't cover as well.

Salesman was Francis...nice at the beginning but a real ** after that. Was suppose to call me back...never did. I had to call back. Advised him I had American Home Shield at the present time and never said anything about a 30 day waiting period. He already charged my account the 39.69 which would be for nothing eliminating the 13th month free. I was under the impression that if advised you that I had American Home Shield your coverage would kick in right away. He did not tell me once that I had to wait 30 days...therefore why I am being charged the 39.69 right now for coverage that was not to start til 03/16.

Response time was fast as well as excellent and friendly service. The technician was on time and very nice while performing his duties. We were pleasantly surprised with the repair work that was performed. We will definitely recommend Choice to our family and friends in the future.

I told Greg **, that I would accept Choice as my new home warranty effective 5/9/2018, but I would not accept a charge to my credit card, before the warranty took effect. I said I don't want a early charge to my account, I see it's listed on my credit card statement. Plus he said he would email me with all the details, I got nothing.

I canceled my coverage after 3 days and they kept 50 dollars for admin fees and 65 dollars for sending a contractor out. Very poor company. I do not recommend them to anyone. You will get ripped off and they have all kinds of limits on what they cover (it’s in the fine print).

I enjoyed my experience with the representative who signed me up for service with Choice. He was quite respectful and informative. Also, I like the service. The representative went through all of the information I needed to hear. He also mentioned all of the services Choice provides. I was really impressed with that. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs this service. Also, the person who I talk to First was just as polite and apologetic for being disconnected. I thought that was so so nice. She stayed on the line until I was connected with the right rep. Thanks.

The purchase was pretty easy to do but I do feel as though you are kind of pressured a little bit because the signing up process was done very quickly. The gentleman who I spoke with was very helpful in answering my questions. I have not yet used the warranty as of yet.

Returned home to find a leaking toilet upstairs. Called Home Warranty and had a reply and appointment set up in very short time. Repair was made today and appears to be fine now. Very pleased with how quickly this was done, and how pleasant and efficient all my contacts were. Thanks for making a disaster a bit more easy to handle.

Bought a home recently with a Choice Home Warranty included. They kill all of the "covered" items with fine print and set extremely low limits on repair costs covered annually. They let me open a claim, have a plumber come to my house, pay the $45 dollar fee, just to then say they were not covering anything because the 500 dollar annual limit for plumbing repair had been used by the previous owner. $45 dollars spent, and an issue that would have been otherwise covered (even after sifting through 3 pages of fine print) just to be told the limit was already hit. They couldn't tell me that when I opened the claim??? I would never be a customer, nor recommend them to anyone, ever again.

Hot water tank was leaking in and around the relief valve discharge pipe and the bottom drain valve. Repairman was prompt and very courteous. He diagnosed the problem and changed a couple of valves. We contracted with them to fix another problem not related to the warranty, and they came out a day or two later and fixed that at a reasonable cost. A good company experience for us.

CHW responded to my shower drain clog problem immediately and a plumber contacted me the same day. There was a scheduling conflict but the contractor worked with me with a scheduled visit that fit my time frame. He came the next day. He was very polite and discussed my problem with me and took only 20 minutes to resolve the problem. I am very satisfied with CHW and recommend them to anyone in need to a home warranty.

My faucet in the bathroom is leaking. I called Choice and they said it need a stem replacement and refused to cover the repair in the warranty. This was just the most horrible service I have ever seen from a warranty company. One should never go to Choice for service.

I purchased a policy from Choice Home Warranty from a very aggressive sales person, who explained in detail that whatever the reason for failing, and no matter the age of the covered item, if it fails it will be replaced period!!!! When my heating system failed, I notified Choice, and they informed me that they could not get anyone out to inspect the system. I called a local technician and he informed Choice that the system had failed and need to be replaced. Choice refused because they said the system was not the proper size for my house.
I then called Altrol and they sent a technician down to inspect the system, and they also told Choice that the system had failed, and that after checking all possible reasons why, a definitive reason could not be found, and they recommended that the system be replaced. I sent that diagnosis and the description paperwork of the system proving that it was the right size for my house to Choice. Choice still refused to replace this system, because a definitive reason for the failure could not be determined. DO NOT!!!! Purchase a home warranty from this company. They will not honor the warranty!!!!

Within minutes of putting in request I received information on who would be coming to my house to repair, company name, number and time they would arrive. The company they sent kept me informed of the arrival time and was prompt. They did a good job, got proper approval from Choice Home very quickly and replaced my unit. They kept everything neat and clean. I was very happy with the service and the speed that everything was done with.

Representative was very knowledgeable and courteous. He explained about all the features of the program and different options I have and answered all the questions I have. Initially I wanted to go for 1 year option, but after hearing about the discount offered for 5 year plan, I opted for 5 year plan and got 1 extra year as a bonus.

I first visited the site and tried getting a basic quote online, once I did that I got a few emails including one from Myles who later called me. It was very annoying as a customer for him not to realize he'd emailed me and I responded. He also called me by another customer's name which makes it a VERY impersonal experience. He was very condescending over the phone and got upset with me because what he was saying didn't apply to me--as a customer, I was just trying to help him better understand my situation so he could sell me the right products. He spoke over me for much of the conversation until I had given up on the negative interaction and just hung up.
I later did some more research on this company and others and decided to try to call and try one more time. After a few transfers, I finally got on the phone with Patty who was a manager in the resolutions department. She was VERY pleasant and walked me through the different plans you have even though she's not currently in sales. She wanted to make sure I was okay with being transferred to Noel in sales which I appreciated. Noel was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was mindful of my time and made sure that we got what I needed in my overages for a good price.

We are very unhappy that we were offered less than 1/3 of the cost of replacement for our dishwasher that your rec. deemed not fixable. We bought your warranty in good faith. We were told we had replacement cost for our KitchenAid dishwasher when we bought the policy. When it broke you offered a ridiculous low offer not even enough to buy any dishwasher. Bad business. Bait and switch. Expected a reasonable resolution.

Terrible customer service, take your money and give excuses for why they don’t cover things. Warranty claims to cover all appliances then deny you and say it happened over time, outside of the policy coverage. Technician came out and charged the service fee of $45 for me to get almost an immediate call with a denial. Now they want to charge me to cancel the remaining months of the coverage. Never doing business with this company again. Use Sears!

After canceling with AHS I was hopeful I found a decent and honest home insurance. I guess it wasn't the case. They didn't accept the claim and they kept 100$ over my decision to cancel the policy when I have already paid 2 installments for 250$ (which started 2 days ago!!). It's a theft, they charged for cancellation 50$ fees plus 50$ greediness I guess... It's despicable and sad, please read all the policy if you ever decide to go with this company, because they can get you just like they did with me. At least AHS charged only a one month prorated fee for cancellation. Do not recommend.

I called on the on Feb 12 evening about a main line sewer stoppage. And as told that a plumber would be out the next day to check my email for the info, and the company's call number. (I have the email with the day showing when I called). The next morning I checked my email and they said that the plumber was schedule for Feb 14. So that means that we can't use our house for 48 hrs. So when I called your claims department they said they have 24 hrs to send someone out. I told them that the Feb the 14 would be 48 hrs.
They said that's the best they can do. I told them I can rent or buy a snake and do it myself if they can reimburse me what they would have paid the plumber. They said they couldn't. So I asked what do they pay a plumber for the jobs so I can call around to have another plumber and said that they deal with around 7000 plumber and they pay an average, so I said then call one of the other 7000 plumber to come out. She disregard me and politely said good bye.

Sal ** called me with information and answered my questions efficiently, completely, and made me feel confident enough to join the family of Choice Home Warranty customers. I am a bit leery of programs like these. I am sure like most insurance policies it's perhaps a gamble. I am going to accept the opportunity as trusting and sleeping easy knowing I am covered. We choose Choice Home Warranty because they had the best reviews and they have absolutely not lived up to them. We even approached the salesperson after having issues with customer service who sold us the warranty and her answer was "I'm not in customer service". It was a huge red flag for us. We had an issue with our bathtub and without going into too much detail they sent out a company that is registered as a home care for the elderly not a plumbing company. To make matters worse they misdiagnosed the issue which we only found out after we had a real plumber come in and do the repair. Don't waste your money or your time with them, there are far better home warranty companies who will treat you with respect and only have reputable contractors sent to your home.

I have had several claims with Choice Home Warranty and each was handled efficiently, quickly and professionally. I can definitely recommend Choice for your appliance insurance coverage. The claim is responded to within minutes of filing and a repair company notified who come out to access the situation within 24 hours.

We signed up 3 months ago, and our first claim you denied. We have the Total Plan, which our contract states includes water heater among other items. Apparently to keep you from reading the fine print (haha). You denied the claim which I'm beginning to think is your standard operating procedure.

Wait is too long, over an hour on 2/11 to get a claim rep. One of the reps just said, "I have put in a order and dispatch will get in touch with you." Said sorry a many times!! Also said supervisor was not available but will call me back. Supervisor never called back. I feel your ads and the way someone convinced me to join you was totally fake. I had another company for many years and I changed in good faith. What a mistake. What they cover you don't. People should have integrity and a conscience.

We created a claim for the dishwasher problem on 7th December 2017. The first technician changed a part and said that he will come with more parts, but he did not turned back now and choose created another claim for the same repair. We are washing all dish with hand for 3 months.

The female who answered my call at around 4:30AM was very cordial and understanding. She listened to my explanation of what woke me up. She explained that there was no one available to come out immediately, but she would dispatch it to a company who would contact me in the morning. I did receive a call at about 9:00AM and they said the earliest appointment to come out would be 3:00 Monday. I appreciated the concerns which both persons took.

Phil ** was my sale representative. He was attentive, pleasant, not "hard sell" and actually pronounced my name correctly on the first try!! On his first call, he called right at our dinner time. When I asked him to call back, he actually returned the call the next day. I can only hope that the next 5 years of service from your company is of equal quality.

Typically, I am quite understanding of thankless job that customer service entails. However, this was difficult for me to overlook. When it was below 20 degrees, my furnace decided to go out. I called in to report a claim. Spoke to a service rep that took all my information and said that someone would be in touch. After an hour or so, the online claim status did not show any progress so I decided to call to get an update and found out that the claims department was closed. As a result, I went back to the "new claims" department (I guess the after hour service) that originally created the claim. The "supervisor" showed no empathy for the problem that I was facing. However, she was happy to read a statement that basically said "if you don't like the response, you can call your own service person and deal with reimbursement."
Although I understand that policies and system/process limitations. I was completely taken back that someone in a "supervisory" position had NO ability to connect to another human being and did not even make an attempt to understand the situation. Hopefully, the recording of the call can be used to train future employees that might actually provide customers with service rather than reading off a statement.

I was informed today when I made my first claim that the information I was given on my initial phone call; which I repeated and had repeated back to me was incorrect. I was told that, the $45 charge would cover repair or replacement, this obviously, incorrect. Luckily, my repair was minuscule and covered, but had it been a large repair I would have been in trouble.

Derrick ** was the person who helped me through the process. Along with the 20% discount Derrick got me discounts for seniors and a military discount. By the time all the math was done, by my math I'd miss out on the savings of a lifetime if I didn't take advantage of all those savings.

Dryer has worked fine for 15 years with yearly maintenance to remove lint from the exhaust vent, which is on my roof. Technician came out and diagnosed that the dryer needed a new motor. CHW refused to cover my dryer because they said it wasn't properly maintained. I was still charged $45 repair fee.

On their website it says they cover water heater. Mine went out. The tank started leaking. I put in a claim and they said it’s not covered. Only certain parts, but not tank. What! What is a hot water heater without the tank?!? Anyways sure enough if you read the details of contract they only cover certain water heater parts. OMG... what a joke. I told them I know other warranty companies would cover this. They said that may be true but they have a higher service fee. I told them I would gladly pay a higher service fee to know my warranty would actually covered what would be expected. I think this company is good for little things but if you want to get good coverage, pay a little extra and ask the warranty company, "If such and such happened would the entire appliance be covered?" This will give you peace of mind.

Home furnace completely stopped heating, even with twice yearly maintenance. Inducer motor locked, cracked heat exchanger, blower motor not working. The furnace was no longer operative. As instructed, the furnace tech communicated the analysis to Choice representative. After Choice review, the decision was they do not cover these items, as one led to the other??? Choice also indicated it's stated in my contract that this would not be covered. There is nothing in the contract which speaks specifically to the items causing my furnace to fail. Choice would have had to cover expenses for a new furnace, which, I believe their techs would in no way make a determination in favor of the customer. Will not renew and will never use again.

I was shopping for home warranties and was going between American Home Shield (which we’ve had before) and Choice Home Warranty. I talked to Noel. He was very direct, fast, and knowledgeable and had me signed up for the total package. Hopefully I would just a good of an experience with the service. M contractors should the time come.

Came home from two week trip to find furnace running on six heat. Determined heat pump not working. Called in a claim and had service man out same day. Claim was denied to what they determined by pictures that it hadn’t been maintained. I don’t understand how they can make this determination by pictures. Very disappointed too but a home warranty and to have only claim I have made denied. Will not be renewing this worthless warranty.

Response seems slow and CHW has shown some difficulty in finding service in my area. I live in a community of about 100K. The rep on the phone when I called to ask about my claim was rude and snarky. Did not like the “find your own service” and get reimbursed in 30 days. I signed up to avoid high out of pocket expenses.

Prompt and accommodating! We have used the service twice now. Great service at a good price. So glad I made the decision to buy this policy. They come out within a day, and even with custom parts, they got it handled!

Very easy to use so far. Website very easy to use. Just need to see how the claims are handled at the home. Are they timely, are the contractors good, do they understand the problems. Did not need to talk to anyone which is good most of the time. So far so good.

At the beginning, I chose Choice Home Warranty for a peace of mind, also because their rate is the cheapest. Now I know there is a reason that their rate is “cheapest”, and I have made a big mistake. Two months after I ordered the plan, one day I found my refrigerator stopped cooling, and I called CHW for an inspection. Technician came and detected condenser fan blade and control board problem, charged service fee and said would come back to repair after one week. One week later, nobody called us, no any follow-up, we had to call the company to check status, after over one hour waiting and transferring, finally one manager answered the phone “oh, we were just trying to contact you, and your claim was denied”. When I asked the reason, he said “your refrigerator problem takes many days to develop, so we can’t pay anything for your claim”. So which appliance problem doesn’t take days to develop?
This is the most unbelievable excuse I heard from a home warranty company. It seems to me that CHW only wants my money, but refuse to pay any claims. Now I understand why it’s cheaper than others, obviously they don’t pay anything. After my denial, I checked CHW reputation online. It’s a pity that I only started checking Choice Home Warranty review after they refused to pay any claim. On BBB, Choice Home Warranty has over 86% negative reviews! I should see that before ordering CHW plan. Also interestingly, the review rate went downward sharply in year 2018, I saw a lot of unhappy customers like me, a lot of 1-star ratings. I even saw comments that CHW refuses to pay any claim higher than $300, which was true according to my experience with CHW. I am writing this just to advice future new homeowners, if you choose CHW, better pray yourself won’t have any repair beyond $300.

Was very surprised to find out my warranty did NOT cover the ice maker on my refrigerator. I had a previous insurance and switched to this company due to a better price. I thought I was getting a good deal, but now I am not so sure, as the other company covered ice maker repairs. So now I will have to pay for the repair on my own. Very very disappointing. Had I known, I would have stayed with other company. Customer service was fine.

I had Caribbean pool service come to my door after calling and letting me know when they would be there. They said between 11 and 3. They got here about 11:30 or so. They went to work and found out the problem in no time flat. They probably would have gotten thing done faster if I had kept my mouth shut but they tolerated me and answered my questions with language that I could understand. They had to come back another time because they didn’t have the part for my pump.
The second time I got another person who was as courteous and nice as the first. He had it going in no time. Thanks Choice Home Warranty. You did it again. Always having the best people and very knowledgeable about what they are doing. Hope not to see you for a long time but when I need someone you will be that company I will call.

I was trying to re-activate my policy and the representative with who I spoke was rude and hung up on me while I was asking questions on the policy. I was asking about cancellation policy and coverage. He was cutting me up and hung up on me.

I used to be with American Home Shield and I switched to Choice because of the lower deductible fees and what a mistake it was by me. Pretty much any claim you make will be pre-existing and they will not cover it. I placed two separate claims for my AC and fridge 6 and 8 weeks after my initial purchase and both got denied. They question you about the broken appliance to death trying to see if you are responsible for its being broken. Afterwards, when they send the technician, they will claim that the broken part became defective long time ago prior to your purchase of the policy. In my case, they even lied to me about my fridge and said that it was the compressor that was broken and it takes a long time for it to be broken.
However, after I spoke with the technician, he denied that and said it was an electrical circuit board and an overload relay that needed changing. So when I called them about it, they said it's still pre-existing and will not fix. After complaining again about the case two months later, a resolution manager offered to pay half of the costs only because I caught them lying to me about the diagnostics. I cancelled afterwards and will go back to American Home Shield as they never denied any of my previous claims. They are a fraud company and most of the people that gave them good reviews got paid for it. Go check BBB and see what they say about that.

While still living in New York I had Choice insurance. We had 2 or 3 appliance problems and every time Choice came through for me. I am now very pleased that I have Choice coverage again. It is a relief to know that I am covered for just about anything. Gives me peace of mind.

The gentleman that answered the phone was ‘wonderfully polite’. He verified information and set the wheels in action to get service. Explained that the thermostat cranked to 71. The furnace was only getting the house to about 64 degrees, once to 65.

You are very prompt on sales calls and sometimes overly aggressive. When transferred to claims or customer service the wait time is way too long. When you specify a hold time the call is never answered within that time. If a customer has been given a name to ask for the request should not be refused.

Refused to cover the cost of repairs to my air conditioner because they stated the cause was not due to 'normal wear and tear'. However, the technician their company sent to my house stated it was caused by normal wear and tear, and he even spoke directly to the people. I will never use this company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone!

My claim was for a garage door issue. The assigned technician is over 80 miles away from where I live. Therefore, in our first phone call he asked me what the problem was with my garage, then he told me CHW will not cover the issue. If he were to drive from his location to repair it anyway, he would charge $400! It seems CHW does not have enough techs in my local area to properly service my home. I have decided to end my contract.

Bad service by warranty company and provider, company refuses to cover anything it says it would, just took my money, but won’t pay out a dime! “Jacuzzi covered” but motor is not covered, what is the point. Water heater “covered” BUT AGAIN actual heater not covered! Plumber they sent looked and just said “need a new one” HOWEVER my own plumber came, fixed it! In 30 minutes! BAD COMPANY IN COVERAGE AND IN SERVICE THEY SEND! NEVER SIGNING AGAIN! Beware before u sign up to be “not covered.”

I signed up the 3 1/2 year plan. I feel a sense of comfort and look forward to a great working relationship with Choice Warranty. I'm new to this but if all the things that were told to me are true, I am giving you a full 5 stars across the board.

This is my initial use of Choice Home Warranty. Lewis the claims rep that I spoke to was polite and competent. I explained my situation and Lewis assured me that it would be covered and that a local plumber would be contacting me shortly. So far it has been a very pleasant experience.

Every time I used them for my hot water boiler or heating system, even though I paid a premium to sign the contract I still have to pay $45.00 bucks! And the contractors they send have little or no knowledge about the systems they're working on. Then the contractor tries to tell you whatever the problem is it's not covered. One recent guy came and tried to charge me $400.00 bucks plus the service call! Got my own person $257.25 complete. I have two contracts with them on two properties, and canceling right after this post.

I purchased my policy on Jan 4th. I was sold the policy explaining all the wonderful benefits and everything it covers. Last Night Feb 5th about 3:30 pm we realized we had no heat. I immediately was relieved remembering we had Choice Home Warranty. I called and filed a claim and was amazed at the fast response. They set an appointment for 3-10pm the next day. With below 30 degree temp we figured we would stick out even with 3 kids in the house. The next day the technician comes, diagnosed the problem as a valve and circulator pump and leaves. At this point I am furious. I was under the impression he came to fix my heat. I call Choice and they tell me they have to wait for the technician to call in the problem and then to see if they will approve it and if so they will send him back when he is next available to fix it. So another night no heat below 30 degrees out.
They then call me back and tell me it is a preexisting condition. That this part does not just go. It goes over time. I ask then what is covered because in reality everything breaks in time. They told me to call back the technician. I call back the tech who tells me that is not true. That this part can go at any minute and they told him they were denying the claim because I have only had the policy in effect for 2 days. In effect to me means in effect. I also called another plumber and asked the same question about the parts and was told both those parts can go at any minute and it is not something that goes over time. I called Choice back and was told it is what it is. It is denied. I explained that they are denying the claim for something that is incorrect.
They very clearly stated it is what it is by a very nasty supervisor. I am extremely disappointed in my first attempt at using this policy. I was mislead when told it covers my heating system and would like to know how it was too soon to file a claim if the policy is in effect and was purchased over a month ago. I am wondering what their policy is on how long you must wait. They insinuated that it was preexisting and then waited 30 days in sub 0 degree weather in NY to file a claim. When as of 3:30 on Feb 5th I had heat and I purchased the policy Jan 4th. This company is a scam!

I bought a 3-year policy and every time I submit a claim it's either not covered, if they can't fix it they give a small monetary concession that is nowhere close to the replacement cost or they use a bogus technicality to put the burden of cost on me. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I'm in sales and if I treated my customers the way these people have treated me I would be out of business. I could never recommend these people to anyone.

Worst company stealing money from everyone. I signed up for 3 years and was told if I don’t like service I can cancel anytime and will get full refund. I called this company twice for service. Both time they said they don’t cover. Finally I decided to cancel my service and was told by company manager I will get only $237 refund. Originally I had paid more than $1500. I told the manager person who signed me up he told me I will get full refund. He said no and I asked him to listen to the conversation we had before I signed up. He said, "We don’t have any recording." People don’t waste your money on this company. Salesperson to supervisor to manager they all are uneducated people. They talk to you like you are **...stay awayyy from Choice Home Warranty!!! Waste of moneyyy!!!

I contacted them about not having any hot water via email. They emailed me back within 5 minutes and another email with a scheduled appointment in 25 minutes. As of today the repairman came and fixed the water heater in less than an hour. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to any and everyone in need of a Home Warranty company.

We were experiencing problems with two burners on our Whirlpool ceramic glass cooktop. Called in to make a claim to get it repaired, was told timeframe contractor was going to be there, didn't get a chance to schedule time that might work better for me. Repair man reviewed problem with the cooktop and submitted report to Choice Home Warranty (CHW). Then CHW informed me that my cooktop would need to be replaced. So far no problem, then everything started going south.
They offered $230 allowance for a new cooktop, which I rejected, because we were suppose to get a like product. I had to then phone back and talk with a supervisor (Brad) whom said he would see what he could do. He first tried to deny my claim because I said I had a glass cooktop and they didn't cover glass. After more conversing, he said that he would attempt to get a higher allowance. I informed him at that time that I had gone online and reviewed a number of the stores around and found that the cheapest for $404, but that $450 was common low price.
He came back with an offer of $350. Again, I said that the lowest priced cooktop was $404, so the $350 couldn't buy a replacement, and he further stated that within the contract the replacement was their call, which I had no problem with, it was the allotted amount I had issue with. He then said that they could purchase a ceramic cooktop for $350, so that is all we would be allotted. I said fine, buy the replacement cooktop and have it installed. He then informed me that they were on a purchasing freeze. I asked how long this was going on, he said that it was indefinite from when it began to when it would stop. So I asked then if it was on when I purchased my agreement in 2016 and he quickly adjusted his answer that it started in December.
I asked him directly if this might not be a little bait and switch, since I purchased an agreement for repair/replacement and I can't even get what it will cost me. Additionally, I had to pay for the service appointment and now will have to pay for the installation. CHW is not keeping their end of our agreement, and they are pushing costs onto customers, like me.

I waited from 3-5p 5th, as Choice told me, then called Service; they said it's 6th that Choice Warranty scheduled the wrong day. They had 6th @ 3-5. I made arrangements for someone to be home and my personal schedule's disrupted only to get home and find no one came to repair over and called to be told they were not scheduled.

November, bitter cold, my heat quit working. I called Choice Home Warranty and within 2 days I had a reputable service company at my door. Said my system was old but in remarkably good condition. Something stuck in the condenser. Fixed and went on his way. Lasted about 3 weeks. Same issue - blowing cold air and making high whining noise. Again bitter cold and approaching a holiday weekend - Very difficult time getting in contact with Choice Home Warranty. (Story for another day) Several days later (bitter cold and I'm an old lady) a fellow comes to my door with NO CREDENTIALS. Said he drove more than an hour to get there. - Not even a hat with logo. Thought the heat pump was fine until I mentioned the outside part! He said unit is old and a part was rusty.
Called Choice and was advised that they don't cover rust (real reason is the parts are obsolete). Also said I had a Freon leak but he had no Freon with him. Was there for hours (I also had to pay another deductible) and was advised that rust isn't covered and I could get another opinion at my own expense. I did get another opinion at my expense. Unit is old, but no Freon leak. Can now only maintain an inside temp of 62-63. Yes better than outside but not comfortable inside. I submitted all documents to CHW and was advised I should hear something within 24 hrs. So here I am 6 days later, still bitter outside and very cold inside and haven't heard a peep. Also I live in what's considered Metro Atlanta, so why did they send a tech from 70 miles away? I have COPD and this whole situation is not good for my health either.

Leaking water heater. Was fine last night but got up this morning and water everywhere. Tank has had not problems since I purchased the property over one year ago. Have a plumber ready to replace today. Water has run under my wood flooring and I will have to replace it but I won't know for sure till we replace tank and check all the floor.

Was difficult to work with getting their contracted techs scheduled. Decisions were made to deny repairs even after I had two different techs give them the same "diagnosis" of the problems. Took forever to contact them and was transferred multiple times to "supervisors" who made decisions based on pictures rather than on the technicians' statement. Just overall had bad experience with them on two different issues and felt they were doing everything to not pay for repairs.

Update on 12/31/2018: It has been a very frustrating to deal with CHW regarding hot water heater claims. I had an issue with lukewarm water in master bathroom. Plumber determined it was a non-working check valve between recirculating pump and water heater due to normal wear and tear. CHW denied my claim stating they are not liable for sediment or chemical related causes of hot water heater related issues. You will always have potential sediment or chemical related issues as they exist in the water. So be careful if you think most hot water heater repairs are going to be covered because CHW has many exclusions. BTW, this was the second claim they denied as they used the same contract denial clause to deny fixing the thermostat control value on the water heater. I will not be renewing as this is literally money down the drain. The cost of replacing the check value exceeded the cost of the service contract so I have a double loss.
Original: I filed a claim for my water heater soon after my coverage policy started. They originally denied my claim stating that it is a pre-existing condition. The water heater temperature control valve can go out at any time especially during cold weather. The plumber agreed and said there was no way to determine if it was a pre-existing condition. I was on the phone with the claim supervisor who vehemently said it was a pre-existing condition. I was able to get them to pay $150 of the $685 bill which they said was a good-will gesture. Anyway, don't waste your time or money with these scammers as they will try to deny all your claims. I will not renew my coverage.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the 3rd claim I filed and nothing is ever covered. Although they gladly take my $45 and get me for additional charges then in the end tell me they can't cover the issue and I have to outsource it. Terrible!!! Even had a plumber chip my tile and never received a response back about it.

I was told everything was covered. According to the contract, many things are excluded. This is dishonest in my opinion, and I sincerely hope it does lead to cancellation. Exclusions were never mentioned—just tried to sell me a longer plan.

Last February our oven stopped working so we filed a claim with CHW. They were very responsive and sent a technician to repair the oven in a timely manner. We renewed our contract a couple of months later and unfortunately our oven broke again in November. We filed a claim in December expecting the same level of service, but have been VERY DISAPPOINTED in the level of service we've received with this second claim. CHW sent a technician to assess the oven, but after submitting his recommendation for the necessary repair CHW determined the technician (one that they had selected) to be "unqualified to trouble-shoot ovens".
After numerous emails and calls with extremely long hold periods to follow-up on the claim, they finally sent a new technician to our home for a second opinion (1 month later). The second technician submitted his findings and now CHW is denying the claim stating that the technician has reported multiple issues needing repair which the warranty company deems outside of the "normal wear and tear" policy (even though one of the issues is with the same part CHW's technician replaced in February). After being on the phone with multiple representatives they cannot provide an answer as to why certain repairs were covered under the exact same plan last February, but not covered now which leads me to conclude CHW uses loopholes in the contract to enable them to avoid payment of repairs. As a result, I would NOT recommend doing business with this company!

My A/C unit broke a couple months ago and I am still trying to get reimbursed. CHW originally denied the claim stating that mold was the cause of the failure after a tech said there was some biological growth inside the unit. I paid over $400 to have a mold test done which came back as being negative for mold. I give CHW the results and then they change their mind and say the unit failed because of rust or corrosion.
I had two different A/C companies come look at the air conditioning unit and both verified that rust or corrosion was not an issue and did not cause the failure of the evaporator coil. The A/C company even called and explained to the representative this very thing. This company was not even the contracted company. They had nothing to gain and everything to lose being they would lose business if CHW honored the claim. CHW also refuses to give me anything in writing for my records. They always want me to call even after I explain to them I want written correspondence for my records.

The only problem I have in speaking with her then the conversation with Lewis ** is the discrepancy in information they gave me concerning when your company actually request maintenance record. It is a great concern of mine in respects to my other contract **. I was going to cancel this new policy due to worries I had in this respect.
My father has for the last 50 yrs or so actually installed and maintained A/C, Heating, and electric and even some plumbing systems and has maintained all these years. I'm worried that if they need repairs or even replacement that they would be denied as my father has never kept such records. It is not a question of him no longer maintaining said equipment but one of age. He is now over 100 years old and I don't want him to have to do repairs himself. Lewis insisted there was nothing to worry about that records were really only requested when the contract is fairly new.
At this time I see no need to call in any claims as everything is currently working fine. So after all these discussions I agreed to not cancel the contract. I will be extremely upset, if when your services may be needed for that contract that it will be denied due to lack of said records. Either was both of the people I spoke to today were friendly, patient and seemed to be very knowledgeable concerning the questions I had.

He thoroughly explained to me how the warranty works regarding service calls and the monthly charge for the warranty. I have a home Choice Home Warranty that covers most of my homes problems and plumbing. I had a plug in my Bathroom sink. Guy was out for 10 minutes and fixed problem (NOV 2107). It's now plugged up again. I called and the Warranty on the back of the paper I signed for the work is invalid. NOT COVERED due to 30 warranty thru Choice Home Warranty PROVIDES SO... I HAVE to pay the $45 again. They DIDNT CARE, neither the plumbing company nor the Choice Home Warranty care about the time it was fixed... What??? NOT RIGHT.

I was absolutely blown away with the fantastic customer service skills of this employee... I had a complicated claim that hasn’t quite been resolved due to my heating system trying to decide if it works or is on strike. Numerous visits by service company, numerous appointments... I could barely keep the details straight but this employee NAILED it and was so helpful and professional and LISTENED!!! (rare trait) Give that lady a raise!!! Thanks!! I have 27 contracts with Choice Warranty, every time I file a claim they find a reason to deny the claim. A/C unit is too old, water heater has a rust spot, etc. I am paying thousands a year for their service and after I pay the service call I am denied any repairs, I then have to go and pay for repairs myself. So I pay for the contract, pay for the service call then I have to go pay for the repairs myself. This company is a total SCAM and I will cancel all of my contract with them this week.
Updated on 07/11/2018: Choice Home Warranty once again turned down a a/c repair, they claim my unit has a rust spot on it. They are HORRIBLE. They pay for NOTHING and cover NOTHING. Here is the letter they sent to me so they can not dispute what I am saying; "This letter is in reference to your Air Conditioning claim. We have been processing your claim for coverage and a determination has been reached. During the coverage period, our sole responsibility will be to arrange for a qualified service contractor to repair or replace, at our expense, the systems and components mentioned as "Included" in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract so long as such systems and components:
Are located inside the confines of the main foundation of the home or attached or detached garage (with the exception of the exterior pool/spa, well pump, septic tank pumping and air conditioner); and Become inoperative due to normal wear and tear; and Are in place and in proper working order on the effective date of this home warranty contract. This contract does not cover any known or unknown pre-existing conditions. Coverage is for occupied, owned or rented residential property. Your claim was submitted on 07/09/18 and was assigned to Arrowhead AC on 07/09/18. After the appointment date on 07/11/18 the technician submitted details pertaining to your system failure.
It has determined the cause of failure of your system is with the evaporator coil, which is leaking refrigerant and must be replaced. Evaporator coils that leak have been exposed to corrosion or acidic materials that have infiltrated the air stream and air flow throughout the house and have damaged the integrity of the coil. The acidic agents cause sections of the coil to become corroded and/or rusted which are weakened and develop tiny pinhole or microscopic leak. Please refer to your terms and conditions section F number 1; we are not responsible for malfunction or improper operation due to rust or corrosion of all systems and appliances."

The prior home warranty company, American Shield contacted Meyagie's Services (817) 849-2066 & they changed out the A/C unit with a brand new unit. Aug. of 2017 I also have photos of the Meyagie repair guys on site working that had replaced it prior. The unit began having problems again of not cooling. I turned in a claim with Choice Home Warranty since I was now contracted with them.
They sent a company out to see the issue (I don't recall the name of that company though but I am sure Choice would have it on record) and I was told by the two repair estimate guys that came that Choice would not cover it due to rust and the guys who came out stated they could take care of it for me just to help me out if I paid $1500. cash directly to them and they would do it on the side (sounds crooked to me). I contacted Choice and they asked that I fax them the repair from Meyagie of Aug 2017 in which I did Nov 2017. I have not heard from Choice to date and it's Jan 27 2017. I sent them another email.

I contacted CHW around 7:00 AM on 01/25/18 to report problem with heating unit. The claim was filed. Within an hour of registering the complaint, I received an e-mail informing me that an appt had been scheduled for that afternoon. Powell Heating and Cooling Services had been assigned the claim. Tech was timely and completed the necessary repair. This was remarkable service.

Placed call to CHW, I talked with a customer service person, explained that my garbage disposal unit was leaking, they stated a plumber would call me with 24 hours. I received a call from their plumber and had a new disposal installed with the 24 hours as stated. You can't beat that. I would recommend CHW to anyone.

So I wake up this morning and was checking my email. There is a message from you to call as soon as I can. So I call the number and I'm told that it's not covered? Discovered yesterday that my hot water was leaking from the bottom into the overflow pan and thru the drain tube and on the floor. Called your office at 6am for a service call and received an email explaining that you do not cover corrosion! I feel that I have been represented. The sales person told me all of the appliances that you cover and your contract clearly states on page 3 you cover hot water tanks but makes no mention of reading the rest about exclusions. It was also my understanding that at purchase I was buying the best plan you have, but try to use it for the first time and no coverage! Please stop my payment plan this month. BTW I work in the plumbing department at Home Depot. I will be sure to tell all of my hot water tank customers as to how you mislead the consumers.

The first repair company did not show up or call me to let me know they weren’t coming. You then waived the service fee as a courtesy and set me up with another service company. Dishwasher was repaired by a “mom and pop company”, not very professional looking service people and no uniform shirts. I have no idea if they did a good job or not since dishwasher motor doesn’t sound like it’s working properly now. Don’t know if they put a new motor in or a refurbished one. New motor should not go bad so quickly.

We've had 2 problems since being with this company. The 1st problem... leaky hot water tank. Took 3 days till someone came and if I hadn't called CHOICE back on day #3 (night before Thanksgiving) to get a special other phone # of repair company, Turns out-they had forgotten about us/the repair, it would have been several more days till the repair was made. Last week we lost our home heater. Choice got someone assigned immediately, but it took them 3 days to get to us (in the dead of winter). I spoke to the repair tech (the day the claim was assigned) and until the repair was made, he said/we suggested to heat our home by boiling pots of water on the stove. Thanks to the tech, our home was warm and cozy until the repair was made.

Updated on 06/19/2021: Although the technician did not have the spare part on his truck, he was able to switch the bad one with one that is not used a lot. The problem was not fixed but I am happy with the workaround.

Our heating went out on Jan 1 this year. Temps were at an all time low for us... teens and below. We reported outage and waited. After waiting 55 hours we called and were told we could call our own provider as no one had picked up the ticket. They explained reimbursement process. Turns out it only cost $220 for repair (combustion motor). Wait time for auth was horrible. Our technician could not wait for the 40 plus mins it took to get a person. I explained and was directed back to another dept. She emailed me forms which I then faxed in. I faxed papers several times due to one form they kept saying was cut off. I called Fri 19th to be sure they had gotten a clear copy. Rep told me they would contact me if there were any more problems.
On Sun morning when I checked email, there was one saying that after repeated attempts to contact me were unsuccessful they were closing the claim! (I still have email.) When I called rep said they could not process claim because they had not talked to a technician. I explained what happened, asked would they compensate the technician for his time to call them again and was told no. I'm ashamed to say I did lose my temper. I was so frustrated that there was no way found to resolve my situation. Also the rep told me I just wasnt hearing what I wanted to.
Keep in mind I have worked in retail mgmt for 30 years... I know there is always a way to help a customer who has had a verifiable situation that doesnt fall under "the rules". I'm just thankful the technician was honest and didnt gouge me in my emergency. I paid for 4 years upfront for this coverage almost 3 years ago and this is the only claim I've had except for a washing machine repair last fall. VERY disappointed. I originally sang their praises after my 1st experience, but now know it's not always so. I'm not sure how long they thought we should go without heat, but I think we were reasonable. (We bought and borrowed electric heaters... which scare me). Three days was rough. Dont think I will be renewing my contract with this company.

This company is a total ripoff. I just put out 5800.00 on a new HVAC and they wanted to give us 200.00 as they said they do not pay for rust and corrosion or leaks. I asked what older system doesn’t get rust. The HVAC technician that installed our new HVAC stated that our old system was well-maintained, but Choice tried to say our system was not maintained and that is why it was leaking. Do not learn the hard way like we did. DO NOT take out a Home Warranty from this company. They will just take your money. There is also a Facebook page titled, Choice Home Warranty Ripoff, making people aware of what a ripoff they are. Awful comments - I wish we would have seen this page before we threw our money away. Beware of these thieves.

We have decided to sell one of our Condo units. I have used and have a current Home Warranty on a unit and wanted to review other Home Warranty companies. Not just for price, but what do others offer. I read many reviews on the Web and selected three companies to review. In reading the reviews they were for the most part the same, the good, the bad and the ugly so you have to read the reviews between the lines. One agent called me back at once and was concerned and interested in me with what were my wants and needs. The agent, Joe ** was professional, knowledgeable, well-spoken and concise English, explained all about the company and its offerings. He knew when to accept my needs and needed to go no further. In this day of voice mails, texts, robo calls it is refreshing to hear a human voice that knows the benefits and features of his product line. I signed up.

I've had Choice Home Warranty for over a year or so. I've had only two claims and both were not covered under the warranty. Just recently I had a problem with my refrigerator. It took 3 days for a technician to come out to inspect the problem. He indicated to me that I had a bad compressor. He reported back to Choice that I had something installed wrong and that caused the compressor to go back. This was never indicated to me and was surprised to hear this from the Choice customer service representative. I will be researching to find me another home warranty protection plan that I can depend on and one that will give me honest workmanship from their contractors.

After 3 e-mails, Choice Home Warranty resolved the issue with the offer of a $500 payment toward the new water heater. I very much appreciated their willingness to do this since I realize it was an uncovered repair. My issue was that they were unable to furnish me with a tech to do the work at a reduced price, but I am satisfied with the reimbursement and will continue to use their services as we have for the past 6 years.

I sent this to Choice Home Warranty re: Uncovered replacement of water heater. I am requesting some token reimbursement for our expense since they were unable to supply their own technician to do the work at a more reasonable price than we had to pay a private contractor. I filed a claim online 1/18/2018 for leaking water heater and received a return email from you stating you were unable to locate a tech to do the repair in a timely manner. You authorized us to get our own repairman which we managed to do. He contacted you with the information and he understood that you would reimburse me for the repair, and proceeded to fix the problem.
I was then informed by you that this repair/replacement was excluded under warranty terms and that I would not get reimbursement. You also told me that if I had used YOUR technician (you didn't have one), that they would have given us special pricing on the repair even though it was uncovered. I am requesting that you pay us the difference between the price YOUR tech would have charged and the amount we wound up paying our own man since you were unable to help us per the contract agreement by supplying the repair technician. Please advise. We have been customers for many years and I just renewed my contract last week again. I am hoping you will take this into consideration and help us out with some form of reimbursement.

Choice Home Warranty is in violation of CAN SPAM laws. They send their emails under different addresses/aliases each time, and do not honor unsubscribes. I receive at least two emails per day from this poor excuse for a company, none of which are relevant to me. I have unsubscribed many times and continue to receive them. Each separate email in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act is subject to penalties of up to $40,654 - the FTC needs to enforce this for us poor consumers! I'm about ready to change my email address just to get away from them.

When we subscribe to Choice at the beginning (Sept. 2017) we had agreed on a 2nd refrigerator in the garage. When we filed a claim 1-22-2018, we found out that it was not covered. Stay away from Choice Home Warranty!!! I'm a Real Estate broker that got a Choice Home Warranty for my own home. What a mistake. I put a claim in on my washing machine. A tech came out to check out the washer 3 days later. He told me before he could fix the washer he needed Choice Home Warranty approval to get parts to make the repair and that he would be back the next day. The repair tech never returned so I called him up. He told me Choice home Warranty denied the claim to repair. I called Choice Home Warranty and got the runaround. Finally I got someone that would talk to me. I was told since the washer was only 2 year old we must have overloaded the washer and that it was not normal wear and tear and therefore not under warranty.
We never overloaded the washer. It's just my wife and myself. We don't have big loads. So I called the tech and asked him why he thought we were overloading the washer. He told me that he put in his report that it was normal wear and tear and Choice Home Warranty made the decision that we were overloading the washer and that void out the warranty. So I called Choice Home Warranty back and got a supervisor. After some choice word with the supervisor he offer to pay 50% of the repair. I told him that would not do. Parts were about $225 plus labor. (Just going to get a new machine.)
Well my contract with Choice Home Warranty expires in about 6 weeks and their sales office has been calling me about renewing the warranty. Sorry I don't think that's going to happen nor will I ever refer them to any of my clients and I will pass this info on to all my agents and other realtors. A lost to Choice Home Warranty a lot more than $225. To all that have been rip off by Choice Home Warranty please reach out to your realtor and let them know about your experience so that they will not refer any more of their client to Choice Homes Warranty. Realtors reach out to Choice Home Warranty and let them know that we will not stand for our clients being ripped off.

Plumber called and after looking told me I needed new water heater. Old one was 11 years old. Plumber called Choice and was told it was not covered. I have Choice Total Plan so I called and was told it was not covered. Plan does not cover tank leakage. (That’s the main reason for Warranty Co.) Well plumber was able to get new water heater on this Sat. evening and install, work completed by approximately 8:00 PM. I PAID $1055. Choice Warranty paid ZERO.

Customer Service was excellent. Noel was very knowledgeable regarding the items covered by Choice Home Warranty. Noel was quick to recognize a Retired Marine Corp Veteran that spent thirteen months in Viet-Nam. I was immediately offered an option to use the Veteran five (5) years Saving Program. You need to show the complete coverage on the document you sent to us today so customers know what they are buying and what to expect from the plan. Also, it should not take two weeks to get the customers their contract. When does the 30 day period begin? For us is it today or when we receive the contract? The ratings below are based on getting what we have been told we would receive.

In late October of 2017, Choice Home Warranty denied a claim on a 13 year old AC compressor because failure was deemed "not normal wear and tear" as per their disclaimer. Have had their Warranty product since March and at the time of this writing I still have it. The fact is, an electrically-shorted, hermetically sealed Trane Compressor cannot be diagnosed for failure type unless it is cut open and examined for root cause of the electrical failure. Technicians from two different HVAC companies have verified and agree with the aforementioned statement. Choice cannot and will not provide, in writing, the type of compressor failures which are considered "normal" wear and tear because this will obviate their ability to dismiss ALL claims due to the "normal" wear and tear clause.
I purchased their product because, according to their marketing/advertising materials, it is supposed to provide "peace of mind". It has done anything but. I now have to cut open the compressor and determine root cause of the failure and document such, get signed statements from the two technicians, file complaints with the BBB and the NC Attorney General's Consumer Affairs/Fraud Division and submit my "evidence" to Choice for their determination yet again. In the meantime, I have spent $1350 to replace the compressor and get the system running again. I would give them ZERO stars but the rating system doesn't allow for it.

Lynch electric responded in a very expedient fashion and resolved my issue in short time. I was thoroughly impressed with the gentlemen’s work ethic and knowledge. My technician was very pleasant and addressed my issues with a smile. Great Job Lynch electrical!!

Lady in office left me a time and day on my voicemail. When I called to make arrangements she was extremely rude and told me I needed to call Choice Warranty to cancel and reschedule. Please do not send that company (Hobbs business) to me again.

Cancel my order. I tried to e-mail you. No luck. Your rep made me feel like I was buying a bad used car. I called today. After waiting on hold for 1 hour the person I talked to would not let me cancel my order. I called my credit card company and closed the card.

Service was good when placing the order. However I called to cancel the claim as the service was no longer needed. I had on hold the first time for 20 minutes never spoke to a representative. Called back again. Was in the phone for 15 minutes. Still didn’t speak to anyone. Finally went in the website. Didn’t see anything that said to cancel a claim so I went to the area to check the status of my claim and sent a reply to cancel. Also called the company to cancel. Not impressed with your friendly staff member!???

Choice Warranty could not make an immediate appointment for Heating System Inspection and Repair during freezing weather period. I was required to wait two days for a first available appointment. Priority was not provided for this emergency. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied when I purchase a "Total Plan."

This is at least the third time that I have requested service and there was no one close to me. I have paid by act debit for quite some time. If I don't get a call from someone else on their way soon, the last draft really will be the LAST DRAFT. I will not pay for a service when I receive absolutely nothing in return. I have a burst pipe and was told that providers have 24 hrs to even respond to tell me they are too far away.

The claim was placed promptly for broiler element and taken into the system but after a day, I received an email that you cannot get anyone to come out and that I should get my own repairman. Not cool... I will click on that reimburse link and do just that.

The people were polite and spelled out everything very clearly so it was easy to understand. And, since I was a Vet and over 62 yrs old they made it very affordable to buy this warranty. I have not used it yet, but if they are as kind as they were when I got it, I am sure that there will be no problem in the future.

On October 30th, 2017, I called Choice Home Warranty because my heater was not working. I was scheduled for an appointment for Tuesday October 31st, 2017. My claim number is #**. The heater contractor Cedric ** came to my home on Tuesday October 31st at 5:00 p.m. and looked at my boiler and said that there was nothing wrong with my boiler area but I needed an electrician. I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday morning November 1st for an electrician to come out to my home, my claim number is #**. I called the electrician J. Morgan Contractors and he said he could come out on Wednesday at 1:30 but came at 5:00. When he got there he worked on my boiler for approximately 2 hours, he went to the store and bought 2 transformers and came back and started fixing on it again.
After he got frustrated because the transformers he purchased burned out, he said he had to call the company because what he needed to do was not in his contract and that they were not paying him enough money for what he had to do. He left my house with all the wires hanging and open and the boiler apart never stating that he will be back to complete the job. I called Choice Home Warranty and talked to Latasha and she stated for me to call a manager the next day. I talked to a manager on Thursday, 11/2/2017, Charmine she said that the electrician J. Morgan Contractors will be out to put my boiler back together on Friday. I waited all that day Friday for J. Morgan Contractors to call me back and he never called so I called the company back at 4:00, and talked to another Manager Gregg. Gregg got J. Morgan Contractors on the phone he stated that he will return to my house at 5:00 p.m.
When he returned to my house I thought he put all my wires back together but he didn't. I called another boiler company (Polar), spoke with Jerry and he scheduled for Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. A contractor came out and looked at my boiler and stated that the people who worked on your boiler did not put all the wires back together and they did not want to touch my boiler or be responsible for what Choice Home Warranty started. They suggested that we call the people who installed the boiler to complete the job.
We had to call E.S.I Heating & Cooling on 11/11/17, at this point we were without heat for 3 weeks. E.S.I. Heating & Cooling fix the boiler and left the receipt for $200.00 about all they had to do to get my heat on. I am so disappointed with Choice Home Warranty because I never used this and I had them for two years. Choice Home Warranty really let me and my family down. I am asking for a refund of $200.00 to be returned to me because another company had to complete the job for Choice Home Warranty. Thanks.

I have been reviewing and shopping for Home Warranties for over a week now. Googled, the top rated companies of which you are one. I have spoken with several reps from each asking why should I buy from your company. All except Eli wanted to satisfy me by reducing the price. All are comparable in price, and all are good. Eli complemented the others while establishing Choice as the best while giving top notch service and backed up his conversation with places to go on the web for justification and written documentation. I paid more but feel good about my decision. He then exposed me to other options for savings and long term commitment. I can only hope that your service is as good as his sales professionalism.
