    OK, this is the second time that I have had Choice Home Warranty (CHW). Since December 2017 they relentlessly called and badgered to get me to sign up with them. Well I finally did. Now my hot water heater breaks, two days after I renewed my contract. Only to find out that after the technician was there CHW said that it was not covered. Really, I just paid you $1050.00 for coverage, after you badgered me and told me that everything was covered no matter what. If you're going to use the "TIMESHARE" tactics in trying to sell your product and not back it up then you will hear from other people. Now this was not a simple toaster oven or blender. It was a hot water heater. A permanent fixture to the house. Even though they covered $400.00 to the hot water heater they should have covered it all due to the selling practices that all their employees practice.

    I may not have been so damn mad but three years earlier they had the same tactics and I bought in to the warranty and my heat pump broke in the middle of summer. That one cost me $3800.00 because they said they didn't cover that either. Because the BAFOON technician that was called out replaced a fuse and the system started working but the compressor was hissing and blowing fluid out. Their justification was that the fuse caused the problem and therefore the system was not covered. It's the middle of summer so I forked out $3800.00 to get a new one. What a mess that was I got tired of fighting with CHW and just accepted.

    I'd like my money back on that one also. WTF. The book that they send covers it but never the contract or the people that you talk to that inform you of the NON COVERAGE. With blind faith you enter in a contract with them always to find out that you're not covered. WTF...in good faith does it ever cover anything. Now to be honest with you I have been SCREWED again by a NON REPUTABLE COMPANY and want resolve. I'm send the same to the BBB and the Attorney General's Office of Indiana. So if anything at all I will get the deceitful practices changed. Now if your sales tactics dictate that you LIE to get a contract then SHAME ON YOU.

    A REVIEW HELPS BUT WITH CHOICE HOME WARRANTY WE NEED TO ACT. PLEASE PLEASE take a minute to read and make a difference. We need to do something 843 Negative Reviews. I just became 844 same story denied claim, all of the excuses in the book not to accept the claim. I see the pattern. Mine was like this and reading the other reviews it goes like this 1 - They contract with small contractors. All they need is to have a Business Bond Insurance and a license for AC, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, etc etc. It's like a UBER. THEY SEND YOUR REPAIR OUT AND WHOEVER GRABS the work order is who they assign to you, a company that you have never heard of. They send you a e-mail telling you how to contact the assigned company, in most cases the appointment never the same day (2-3 day good luck on that AC not working or what ever urgency matter stopped working issue you have ).

    2 - The Company assigned technician arrives. He collects first the 45.00 service fee here is why, because he knows you are going to be mad from previous experiences. So he goes and looks at the problem. He starts the call to HOME CHOICE WARRANTY. He gets them on the phone tells them the problem in a private conversation, then the technician ask that they want to speak to you, so a so called specialist introduces him or herself and makes a decision with the technician on the phone, on speaker asking for you to be listening without even accessing the issue. They deny your claim 99.9% of the time, they say it's a pre existing condition... What just happen? You just got scammed out of 45.00 dollar call fee that you paid for the technician showing up not his fault right? He is just doing his job he maid 45.00 dollars in less then 10 min. They are also in the scam!!!

    Are we just doomed to be a victim of this CHOICE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY? Or is there something we can do about it? BBB WHY ARE YOU NOT PULLING THEIR LICENSE TO PRACTICE. I feel so helpless when you become another victim of this HOME CHOICE WARRANTY. Dishonest company with the same line and tactics. They are misleading and false advertising. BBB please help the consumer, help me pull their license to practice, you have enough complaints read them, see how they have a pattern, the stories are the same.

    It looks like they all have the same training, not to do anything for their policy holders, and deny all claims we need to do something. Victim of Choice Home Warranty open a complaint with the BBB. Only this way we will stop them. On the Left top corner it says 'File a Complaint' in blue letters. You need to take a couple of minutes please, please or call BBB. Only this way we can STOP THEM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

    Claim for broken HVAC. Took five (5) days for work to be completed, but only three (3) days were extremely hot. Original appointment scheduled by CHOICE was for the next Saturday, and it was luck that I called contractor as they were not open on weekends. Rescheduled appointment and they were prompt on first visit but communication with me could have been better. Various parts required replacing, and the contractor was delayed by CHOICE having to approve the acquisition of parts. In summary CHOICE gets the three (3) star rating, but the contractor gets a four (4) stars!!!

    When I contacted Choice originally and had the Garbage disposal removed the contractor did not do things properly, which caused leakage and the garbage disposal went out. Then when I called and waited from 11-3:00 pm, the contractor never called to express that they'd be late. I called them at 3:08 and then their dispatcher had informed me. Then later she changed her story and claimed that she called at 8 am and left a message. I screenshotted my missed calls and voicemails, which there was nothing from them. They never showed up! So now I have wasted time, money and now have water damage. What is your solution for this problem?! Your contracted people have made things worse with my kitchen.

    The visit was a waste of time for me. The technician got the model number of the stove and said the board needed to be replaced and he would be back in 5 to 7 days. Why couldn't the model number be put in on the original report? With the problem that I am having it don't appear to be unusual so he should have had the part. Now I have to take off again.

    Choice Home Warranty website Says First Month Free! Incorrect. You do not get a Month free until the end of 12 Months. Customer Rep and Website both say Coverage will start immediately if Information of Current Home Warranty Provided! Incorrect. When submitting Claim Choice Home Warranty would not cover claim because it had not been 30 days Even though proof of current Home warranty was provided. Choice Home Warranty says they will reply within 24 hours unless it is a Emergency! Incorrect! A emergency was in effect and because they did not respond or even call back the resident homeowner to tell them they would not be sending anyone else out further damage was caused.

    When you call and ask to speak to a Member of Management you either get hung up on or sent back to main menu that does not give the option for management. This Warranty was paid in full from the beginning and After calling a maintenance man out he had explained his displeasure with Choice Home Warranty as a Contractor choosing not to renew his Maintenance repair work for the Company. I do not recommend This warranty company for your Home Warranty Needs! Because of their false Advertising the damage to the home exceeded 1,000 Dollars in repairs!

    I reported problem on 4/23/18. Choice assigned a repair firm an hour and one half from my house. I cleaned out the space under my sink and packed everything in boxes. The appointment was changed 3 times. I sat here for 3 days from 11 o' clock until 3. No call, no show! Finally, I called the co. She promised they would be here, but it would be late. They finally came at 6:30 pm. and left at 7:15 pm. They were nice and did a good job. The delays from Friday to Tuesday wore me out and I was losing confidence and patience.

    I have been with CHW for roughly 18 months. In this time I have made two claims. On the first claim, after diagnosis by a tech (and paying service charge), CHW notified me that the system was not covered by them. They gave me a free service call after that issue. 2nd claim, tech was assigned promptly. Didn't show up on his window, rescheduled for another day, then no-call-no-showed for that appointment. Asked CHW to reassign the claim, which they did (to the same tech as the first time). I then asked them to reassign it again, which they did (to the same tech as the first time). I went ahead and scheduled again with the tech. You probably guessed it, no-call-no-show. I called the tech the next day to ask where he was and what happened and this gentleman responded with "you know what, ** you buddy! You're a whiny **.".     Choice has offered a settlement on my oven for 340 dollars. I have looked at GE range models and the lowest on was 964.00 an exact match is 1613.00. The absurdity of this offer would be laughable if it weren't so pathetic. I am so disappointed and frustrated I don't know where to turn.     I went online to look at home warranty companies. Unfortunately in order to get a quote you have to put your phone number in. I was just shopping around as my current plan expires in September and I wanted to see if there was something better. Within a minute or two I received a call from this company and I explained that I was simply shopping around and was not interested in making any commitment at this time. I asked that my number be removed and was assured it was. In the past four hours, I have received at least 6 calls from this company, one from a different number. This is pure harassment at this point. I guess they are hard up for business. I would not use this business based on their harassing tactics. As I am typing this, my phone is ringing with yet another call from this company. I guess they don't understand.

    First time making a claim under policy# **. Called and was referred to using the CHW site to make a claim - positive to me rather than waiting on phone. Made claim and promptly received email acknowledging and that CHW was seeking a technician to address the problem. Subsequently received another email that CHW potential technicians had not responded and that I could use my own Service Provider. When I pressed the link to see how that would work it sure looked like I had made the election to find my own technician; confirmed by receipt of CHW email that CHW would now stop looking for a tech. Additionally the phone #s in the email and that in "Claim Reimbursement Process" form for getting approval were different. This "force" to find my own technician was why 4 stars rather than 5. Should have been my election - not mandatory just by clicking the link.

    Eventually I called my pool company, which I have continually used for over 14 years. They evaluated the problem, called CHW (I do not know which number they used) and got authorization to do the repair at the quoted price - my reimbursement, to be paid to me within 30 days would appropriately be reduced by the $45 service fee. Pump has now been replaced. In this particular instance it was great to be able to use a company I was very familiar with to fix the problem. It was also a very positive experience to find that the claim was promptly addressed.

    Except lower premium for three years, I have not see any benefit with this warranty company. They have network of bunch of low caliber, unreliable contractors. They do not cover any part which is rusted, which I think is a bit strange. All parts rust with age. Look at fine print before you sign-up with this company. I would not recommend this company.

    One of our garage door springs broke and is listed as covered with our plan. First, my wife had to go through arguing with the first person called when making the claim. Finally, after speaking with his supervisor, we got the claim established. Next, the repairman scheduled to make the repair the next day backed out. We were forced to wait two additional days before the next repair slot was available with a different company. This shouldn’t have happened. Once the 2nd repair guy was at the house, all went well and we’re happy with the work.

    Although I was approved for reimbursement of $110 I had to pay $280 plus a $45 copay. The original contractor sent to repair did not even try to fix it but reported he did and the repair would be take something that was not covered. I reported this to Choice Home Warranty customer service and was told they stood by the contractor they sent out. But if I called another company and showed it was taken care of as I originally reported (submitted a detailed receipt) that I would be reimbursed. I paid $280 and was approved for a reimbursement of $110. It was not my fault the contractor sent out by choice warranty did not complete the job they were supposed to do and if choice warranty paid them that is on them because I called and told them it was not done.

    As a new home owner I was told that after I make my purchase and move in I could call CHW and they will come out and fix the little issues that are going on with the house. Once I called them they listened to my little problems and told me, "Well out of the 5 we can only service you for 2." Then tells me to send in my inspection report which still doesn’t help with anything. So know here it is, it’s been 3 weeks almost and the two items they sent people out for only one has been completed. Once they finally complete this one last claim I’m leaving CHW. They sell you false hope!

    Spoke to a fellow by the name of Matthew last week and told him I had to discuss with my husband and get back to him. He gave me his number. I called him today 30/April/18 and told him that we were interested in purchasing the home warranty. All was good- gave him my c/c number and then he said that he had a program if there were seniors, military etc. in the home. I said, "Yes, senior," and he told me about the program. When I did not want to go for the program to lock in the price, the sales pressure was on. He did not want to take no for an answer. I told him I was not ready to put down that large sum of money for 3 years. He had a answer for that. I told him that I would try the warranty company for one year or I would find another company. He told me I didn't have to threaten him. I didn't threaten him. That was what I would do had he not stopped and understood that I made my decision.

    Did not appreciate his sass and attitude. I am certain he has a different take on the matter but I was not threatening him. I would have cancelled the warranty and gone somewhere else.     After our contract run out on 3/2019, I will never use Choice Home Warranty company again. The customer Service representatives that I encountered were arrogant, uncompassionate and impatience. Since 4/15/18 to 4/29/18, our refrigerator is still not repaired due to the fact that Choice Home couldn't locate a repairman in this area in a timely matter. One representative told me that the company is NOT fast turnaround company. Each time I contacted them, all the representatives used the speech/verbiage, telling me to be patient, they were working on my issue as fast as possible.     Been having problems with my refrigerator for a while. The first technician put duct tape to make my freezer to stop making noise. The only reason I know that is because it only lasted 6 months and I called again to send someone out again. They send another company out. Took it apart and says, "There is duct tape in your freezer." Well that was January. Still waiting to have my fridge to work properly.     I called in for a ceiling fan not working and they approved a replacement however "contractor grade only and without a light" replacement. I have a $300 fan with a light and they are replacing it with a $70 basic fan without a light! What kind of warranty is that. Beside the fact that the replacement is a cheap basic Walmart fan, they are not even replacing it with like for like and are not including a light! I was warned about Choice Home Warranty and now I know why. The great price is not worth the service.     Do not do business here. Stay away!!! We had an A/C that lost its cooling. I filed a claim with Choice Home Warranty. They said that an A/C company would contact us in about a week and a half. Then we were contacted and told that the appointment for the repairs had been moved out another 3 days. Then another call and it was moved out one more day. Then it was moved out again. When the technician got here we were told by Choice that a large number of pictures needed to be taken of the A/C unit and submitted to them and then a decision would be made determining if the A/C problem was covered.

    I was told that even if there was dust on the unit the claim would not be covered. Choice would not pay to have the covers on the unit removed and replaced for the taking of pictures. You WILL NOT like the exclusions that Choice demands. These exclusions are directly aimed at Choice NOT paying for the repairs that you paid then to conduct for you! Repeat: Do not do business here!

    I recently purchased a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty for my ten-year-old house and paid a one-month premium up front. After one month waiting period, I filed two claims and got both declined. One is for a broken swing pool check valve. Choice Home Warranty told me this part is a durable part and it should not break in one month - counted from the day I purchased the policy. The other claim is a leaking water supply line for a kitchen faucet. They declined the claim because the faucet is not covered. I figured out they will decline every claim I file for all kinds of reasons. I canceled my policy right after I heard the BS and ended up paid two-month premium for getting nothing. Choice Home Warranty is a joke.

    My air conditioner was properly working last summer, but it stopped cooling down on first hot days of Houston in March 2018 when my house was 8 to 9 months into its warranty period with Choice Home Warranty (CHW). Their trusted technician came in and said there was no Freon gas in the system. Then he apparently tried to find the leak with no success. After consultation with the claim department over the phone, they came to the conclusion that someone had stolen the expensive gas because there was no leak!

    Then I called two more technicians at my own cost, and they both said the leak was from the evaporator. CHW did not admit the leak in the evaporator as it was a big cost for them. Simply, they did their best not to cover the cost of the evaporator or Freon. My several attempts to convince them about the reality and other technicians' opinions were not successful. Finally, I had to pay to replace the entire unit which cost me more than $7,000. They reimbursed me $100! Very disappointing!

    I have had two HVAC technicians come to the house. Both indicated the issues with my unit were normal wear and tear for an 18 year old unit. I am also pretty sure the first technician shorted out my thermostat. I have the pictures from the 2nd technician and am trying to get the pictures from the 1st one. CHW makes it very difficult, if not impossible, to share the pictures they have. This should be a very simple process in today's age of technology. I can only assume it does not help CHW's case to share photos with Customer. I have spoke with three of your reps. Every time I countered the reason for refusal to cover the compressor I was given a new reason. I understand we can disagree, but CHW makes it next to impossible to have an educated and honest discussion about the decision made by the mysterious CHW technicians.

    First excuse I got was debris caused the issue. I went and looked and there was 1/2'-1" of debris in the bottom of the cabinet, which is below the level of the base of the compressor and my compressor is enclosed in a galvanized insulated cabinet debris does not get to it. Then I was told it was the coils that were clogged, not true. Then I was told the coil fins were knocked over, I was not able to see this issue thru the cabinet, likely not true. The three photos I have do not show any of this. Then the best is rust and corrosion on the lines and compressor. There is a quarter size spot of surface rust on the compressor, which in no way interferes with its function. I have not been able to find corrosion on the line. Again, only the quarter sized spot shows up in the photos I have seen. You send two separate technicians out to inspect and they say normal wear and tear, (per what they told me) and your in house technician makes the opposite decision.

    This is purely an attempt to not make good on my contract, versus serving the customer with an honest effort. The Last Rep Brad (4 stars so far), was the most helpful and calm of the ones I spoke with. Gina seemed to be raising her voice with me. I did not raise mine, but I did interrupt her a few times. I understand it is all about money and the bottom line and there are legitimate reasons to deny a claim. But, I have not been provided the evidence that even partially supports CHW's decision.

    My Plummer showed up on time. Plunged the sink for quite a while. She was in and out the front door to her truck for various things, different plungers, tools. Time went by and I walked into the kitchen and my white floor was completely covered with black scuff marks from the rubber sole of her boots. I was upset. I said, "Look what you're doing, you're making a hell of a mess, where are your shoe covers?" "Oh, yeah, I’ll get some..." I turned around and she had black footprints from the front door across the living room. I was livid by then.

I tried to call and lodge a complaint with the company but she answered, she’s the boss. Can you imagine that. She was the most irresponsible person I had ever met. Even the cable guy puts shoe covers on. Worst company, you need to take her off you contractors list. I want to have my carpet cleaned and send the bill to her.

I’ve called Choice 2 times since that day to find out why my garbage disposal still hasn’t been fixed yet.     We purchased Choice Home Warranty while renting a home 4 years ago and loved the coverage. When we purchased our home 2 years ago we made sure to go back to Choice Warranty. We had a electrical issue after Hurricane Matthew, Choice sent a very good electrician out. He took care of the issue and we were satisfied. Later we had a issue with our refrigerator cooling, again Choice sent out another quality repair service. Then we had a problem with our well pump. Now things change, the plumber they sent was out of his mind, he wanted to practically reinvent the wheel and Choice denied the claim. My husband ended up fixing the issue himself, and he is a disabled Vet who didn't need to be doing the repairs. He suffered for days after working on something we pay a warranty company to repair.

    Then we had a stopped-up drain from our kitchen. The plumber came out (which he behaved a bit sketchy). Told Choice the access was under water. He couldn't get to it the blockage. He didn't have a snake long enough to get to the problem. Again, Choice let us down. We were stuck repairing something a good plumber would have taken care of in less than an hour. Then we have Heat/Air cond. problems. Bear in mind I have made CHOICE aware of the fact that my 78-year-old father who has breathing issues and has oxygen lives with us and we have to have A/C!!! THEY DON’T CARE!!! First tech came out. Looked at the unit. Said he had to order a part. A week later he came back. Installed part. In a week we had another issue. A different company comes out. They say the person before let Freon out and created a leak. Another few weeks go by and we are having A/C problems again. Yet another company comes out, never the same people.

    This company has one tech and he is young and has no clue. He looks at our unit inside and says it's rusted and that's why it's leaking. Choice denies the claim. Come on people it's aluminum in that area he is referring to, and it's A/C. Have you ever heard of condensation??? So we pay $95.00 for a well know reputable A/C company to come out and they review everything and put in writing that COIL is NOT RUSTED on their invoice, but all of our Freon has leaked out. Now mind you we have paid $45.00 for every incompetent person Choice has sent out. We still have NO A/C or heat unless it's on emergency, which is outrageous to use. Then we have one more issue, we lose power at one end of our home. Our home was built in the 50's and has several updates but there are still areas that are original. At any rate, Choice sends an electrician. He takes one look and says, “It's old wiring it's not covered,” and he was very rude!!

    By the time my husband dealt with him and Choice Warranty people he was so angry, I thought he was going to have a heart attack. COME ON PEOPLE WE HAVE A WARRANTY FOR A REASON!!! Would we need a warranty if we lived in a NEW home. Needless to say we are very unhappy with Choice Warranty and their service techs. What have we paid for for the last 2 years. We will be cancelling our so-called warranty this month! None of these companies seem to want to fix anything they say they will. Oh and replacing something if they can't fix it, WHAT A JOKE! They will just deny the claim before they would ever do that. We are very unhappy consumers!!!

    CHW has failed us big time. They offer something called "peace of mind"! In our case they failed to deliver! They offer an umbrella on a rainy day but will quickly yank it from you when it begins to rain. In early Mar 2018 my 11 yr old A/C heat pump failed. Having been a member for 4 years, I called CHW. Two days later, their $45 technician arrived. Within 5 minutes he had the top off the outside unit, took a few phone pics, went back to his truck and sent them to CHW. Within 10 minutes they contacted him, "Claim Denied"! Apparently the coolant had leaked out, due to rust and corrosion!

    I contacted ARS who had an $89 technician here that day. He advised that Tech 1 could not make that diagnosis without checking the inside unit in the attic, probably because he was too lazy to get his ladder and do a little climbing. After all, the job only pays $45. Tech 1 did not even have a company name on his truck or on his invoice. The following day, a $6600 unit was installed at my expense. I have filed two claims with CHW. Their response, "they will not pay but will refund my premium". I requested they send me the form to do so! Three weeks later it has not arrived! If you are looking for "Peace of Mind" stay away from Choice Home Warranty!

    We have had this water heater issue since last Thursday. After a week later and taking two days off work to accommodate two different technicians (I was informed that the first tech was not qualified to order parts - this can be streamlined by sending the right tech to save time and money for CHW and customer) we still don't know when the heater will be repaired because the parts haven't been ordered yet. As a business owner, who places customer satisfaction above everything else, this is unacceptable to me.     How should I begin? I called M & S SERVICES to reschedule for an earlier time. The person; I'm sorry the owner basically answered the phone with a "Hello" not identifying the business name.     I’ve had my policy for several years and try to use it for the first time when my air-conditioner broke. They refused to replace the air conditioner and wanted me to pay $300 for it to actually be looked at and find a leak the unit is 14 years old and uses old refrigerant that is more expensive than replacing the unit.     I put in a claim for water heater on 3/24. Tech. came on 3/26. Told me it would take 3 days for part. I called three times to check on part. The first time I called service rep. said that the part hadn't come in. The second time I called rep said that the company didn't have part and that my tech was checking another option. The last time I called on 4/10.

    I went through three customer service rep. The first rep. was the basic service rep. She apologized for my situation and forward me to her supervisor. I spoke with the rep and she offered me $305 to replace the heater but I would have to wait 30 more days for the check to come. I explained to her that I have been without hot water for 2 1/2weeks. I have small child in the house and I couldn't wait another 30 days for hot water. This rep. forward me to her supervisor which was Tia who offered $305 for heater and my service call fee returned. But I would still have to wait 30 days and there was nothing else she could do. I explained to her also that it has been 2 1/2 weeks without hot water and that I have my concerns about my small children. I then said, "I'll see you in court." CHOICE had the "BALLS" to offer $200.00 less than what it will cost to replace the stove. The answer "This is the price that we have on file to replace the stove."     Heating and AC - We purchased a home warranty 7 months ago when we purchased home. We recently noticed a gas smell by unit so we called Choice. They sent a technician to look at unit ($65) and he reported the unit could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. Choice then called us and said they would not help due to the fact the previous homeowners did not service the unit. If you don’t have service records from the previous homeowners the warranty is worthless.

    I entered into a home warranty contract with Choice Home Warranty in Feb. of 2018. The first claim I filed was for my malfunctioning refrigerator. The first appt made was missed by the tech being over 2 hours late. The second appt. was made and the tech came to my home. Took 10 minutes to diagnose the problem, collect $60 from me and left. I waited 4 days as he requested. It still didn't work. Another call to CHW resulted in CHW denying the claim because of dust, even though the malfunction was not cause by dust. The second claim was for my A/C. The first tech determined the problem was a leak and a leak test needed to be done. CHW does not pay for leak tests, so I paid $190 for it. The leak was found, pics taken and submitted. Denied because pics didn't show the leak.

    The tech came out on his own time, spent 3 hours dismantling the unit, took pics of the unit leak and submitted them. Denied again because pics were still no good. After some discussion over the next day CHW admitted that the pics WERE good enough but claim denied due to "rust and corrosion". After 2 more days of discussion and after them admitting that "rust and corrosion" did not cause the leak, it was denied because of "poor maintenance". This judgement was made by CHW techs in New Jersey. (I live in Florida). After more back and forth CHW refused to approve the claim. At that point my A/C unit was in pieces. I filed a claim to have the unit put back into the same shape it was before their tech took it apart. It cost me $475 to have the unit put back into one piece again.

    CHW states in the contract booklet they send you that the malfunction had to because by "rust and corrosion" to be denied. The "poor maintenance" is used when no other reason can be found to deny a claim. All in all I have paid nearly $1000 in two and a half months and haven't received a single thing from CHW. I had to close the bank account I was paying them from to keep them from taking even more money. During the time I have had this contract, I have been lied to repeatedly, called a liar and have experienced the worst customer service ever from CHW. Reviewing CHW's website and various social media sites I see my experience is the norm rather than the exception and negative comments outnumber positive ones by about 12 to 1. It appears that they didn't learn their lesson from the lawsuits and other litigation that have been directed at CHW.

    Updated on 04/16/2018: So, after much conversation with someone who identified themselves as Tracy ** customer advocate, said that they would bring my account current so that I wouldn't have to worry if an expensive item quit working or needed repair. Isn't that the most ridiculous thing they could say? They have cost me $100s of dollars already, why would I want to use their service again? At first, they said they would give me back my contract fee if I would sign an agreement to stop writing bad reviews and posts. I told them the only way I would do that was if they gave me $665 the amount I have paid out of pocket.

    Tracy ** contacted me back and said they would give me $665 if I signed the agreement, properly cancelled my account, deleted any reviews or posts, not write anymore, mark the dispute resolved and waited 30 days for a check. I told them that I had zero reasons to trust them to send a check after I did all the things they wanted. I told Tracy ** to start the check sending process and I would not write any more disparaging remarks, would remove all current remarks, cancel my account with them and mark it resolved when I had the $665 in hand. Nothing from Tracy ** after that. Which leaves me to think that just like the many reviews I read, they would have what they wanted and never send the check.

    I asked Tracy ** if I had their personal guarantee that the check would come. Using semantics that they are very good at I was told that I was guaranteed to get the check. Note that isn't a personal guarantee. Tracy ** may have been trying to preserve some personal integrity by using the right word. I have heard nothing about the agreement or the $665 since Friday 13. They did call me today to say my account was current and that I could once again call if something covered needed repair!!! I have to now believe that there was never going to be a check sent once I did what they want in that agreement which is the norm and not the exception.

    We made one claim 9 months into our coverage. A questionable plumber came over and said he would have to detect where the plumbing leak was coming from. It surprised us because it's obvious is coming from the tub. He said he would be back and it would all be covered. 3 weeks later we never heard from him. He did take out $45 fee though. I called Choice Home Warranty and they said we have to pay for the detection of the leak, then they decide whether or not it's covered after the detection is made! What a scam, we then went to cancel the remaining coverage for a prorated rate, they said there is no refund to be had. This company is a scam. Do not purchase a Choice Home Warranty!

    I switched to Choice Home Warranty (CHW) last year based on a friend's recommendation. One of the worst mistakes I ever made. I paid for multiple years (3.5) warranty because of deep discounts offered and only $45 service fee per call. After 6 months, my first claim, I needed Freon in my AC, CHW denied saying I needed a diagnostic test first that was not covered by them - that cost $200. After I had diagnostic test, the tech who serviced AC said I had defective valve but could not replace until Choice Home Warranty approved. CHW denied the valve replacement. WHAT?! I have used Home Warranty Companies over the past 25 years and NEVER had anything like this. I cancelled this policy immediately.

    When I cancelled, 4/6/18, after 9 months of their service, they charged a $50 admin fee. I had also prepaid 42 months service and only used 9 months so far. They only reimbursed me 30% back instead of 60%. AND on phone, they said would be 7-15 days to see credit, then sent me an email that said it would be 15-30 days to see credit on my Credit Card. All of this FRAUD!

    I purchased a Home Warranty Protection Plan from Choice Home Warranty and I would not recommend them to anybody. They claim they only cover mechanical items which usually don't malfunction too often but after talking to several people, they do not cover mechanical malfunctions either. I have had problems with my refrigerator and the spring broke on my garage door. They did not cover any of that. The contractors/professionals they use do not contact you in a timely manner.

    On 2 Apr 18, I contacted Customer Service at Choice Home Warranty to let them know I was not pleased with their service and wanted a refund (my contract took effect 1 Mar 18), they informed me I could only get $108 back (I paid them $375 for a year). They informed me that they will contact the garage door company they use and they would provide me a discount rate to repair the spring on my garage door... I am still waiting on that call. Needless to say, after two days of waiting for their call, I called a Halls Building Supply and they repaired my door the same day. Also, I called several Lawton Refrigerator Repair Services and they informed me they did not do business with Choice Home Warranty because they don't pay.

    Had a claim for my heat pumps. After telling the lady that help with the claim how old our heat pumps was, she said it wasn't a problem and it would be covered, after the repair manual came and told them what the problem was, I was then informed that they would not cover it and that all they could do was issue me a 100.00 check to cover a 6000 repair. After waiting 30 days I called about the check and was told it was mailed to wait 30 days for it. Called at the end of 60 days and was told the check was canceled. I refused to pay the 34.00 due to not receiving what was promised. So I am still without a heat pumps. The money is not important but the poor customer service.

    This company is WORTHLESS. My water heater went out on a Sunday. Called Choice on Monday and they scheduled a tech for Wednesday. A tech calls me Tuesday and says he’s on his way. Says he needs a part and will be back the next day to install it. I don’t hear from them until Saturday, after I called. He comes to replace the part, it doesn’t work and he says I need a new water heater. I call Choice on Monday, they say they will send another tech out Tuesday to get a second opinion. The guy confirms that it’s best to replace the water heater.

    I call Choice again, they say I didn’t “maintain” the water heater like I was supposed to so that voided the warranty. Mind you the technician confirmed it was all wear and tear. I explained to the rep that I just moved in 8 months ago, he says that’s very unfortunate. Now I have to go out and spend $700 on a new water heater and get someone to install it, I’ve been without hot water for over a week with 2 small kids, all after I’ve already given $500 to CHW for them to do NOTHING!!! Before I put this bad review, I emailed "the lady that wants to hear from you before placing a bad review" twice, never received a response. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

    Kenmore Washing Machine Issue - 2 different companies were sent to my house and both were unprofessional. The 1st company Metru Appliance Repair LLC and the 2nd company was Action Appliance Repair Inc. I wasn't satisfied with either one of the companies and Choice warranty handle it immediately and issued me a check for the repair since the 2nd company didn't respond in a timely manner, as a matter of fact, Action Appliance Repair responded the day after Choice Warranty had given them enough time to reach out me and they failed at doing so. Adolpho (which was rude and unprofessional the first time I spoke to him and didn't have a clue about the order) was the one who called me April 3 to follow up about coming out to do the repair. I informed him that at this point he needs to contact Choice Warranty and he was still rude when I informed him with the suggestion.

    I spoke with a supervisor after the electrician told me I would need a whole new ceiling fan. She said I could only have $155 to purchase one since the electrician had stated that would be the cost. He meant to replace only the remote, but she stuck to her guns.     I just signed up for the home warranty contract today. I checked a few other places and found Choice Home Warranty has a 9.9 rating in the Better Business Bureau. When I googled them, they came up first with the best rating. I got a good price and I'm locked in after my contract expires meaning they can't raise the rates on me. It is having peace of mind knowing they have you covered just in case something happens.

    I signed up with Choice Home Warranty to cover my household appliances. The first time I called them was for my hot water tank that I noticed was leaking. They made an appointment for the next day between 11am & 3pm. No one called or showed up. 2 days later I received a call from the company that was suppose to show up and made another appointment. Paid the $45 was told the unit needed to be replaced. 2 days later I get a call from the plumbing company telling me that Choice denied my claim and they would do the job for $2000! WTF do I need this insurance for? I could have just called in a plumber on my own. I already knew the 30 gallon unit had to be replaced. I'm canceling my contract! They also said they don't cover a faucet replacement (I already have the new faucet)!
