    It took over a month to get a very simple repair done on the A/C unit. First technician ordered a new motor and never came back to install it. Second technician cancelled the appointment the day before the scheduled day. Third technician said it didn't need a new motor and fixed the minor repair. The entire process took over a month!!!

    The CHW rep did a fantastic job get someone to my house right away to fix the problem. The reps from Quality drain service were very professional. Also, arrived right away.     Crap company!! Turn down every claim. Search thru their “contract” to find a loophole. So they can get monthly charge. AND pay the contractors for the “visit”. For nothing!! More than one said this is the worst company to deal with.

    I purchased a plan with Choice Home Warranty Aug 2018 and plan was scheduled to start September. I ended up calling in October for a service call of plumbing stoppage. The contractor never called or confirmed that he would not be coming and never showed up for the service call between the hours of 7 am-11 am. I called back to Choice Home Warranty to let them know the issue resolved on its own (so I thought) and I wouldn't need the service call since he didn't show up. I called Choice Home Warranty to say that the issue has not been resolved and would need a technician out which was on a Thursday. They told me someone would be would be out on Saturday.

    I get an email from them stating that the contractor would not be out until Monday. So I called and after being talked to so poorly and rudely after four calls and repeatedly asking to speak to a supervisor I made the decision to cancel and was happy I only paid the policy for 1 year. They have terrible customer service and what I could tell the technicians did not come out in fear of not being paid or this is not a reputable company because none of the technicians would show. Please don't waste your money or time. Please find a respectful and reputable company.

    Well... My KitchenAid dishwasher started making noise. Service person was prompt and doesn't all 30mins filing out paperwork and stated, "needs new motor". Next day CHW emailed stating to costly to repair, will offer $179 towards new dishwasher. A kitchenaid dishwashers start at $500+. After reading reviews, I just accepted payment, which I have not received yet (30days wait), to avoid hassle. I won't be renewing next year unless I get a call from CHW to adjust payout. I would have rather they fix or totally relplace. Now I have to throw in an extra $300 for dishwasher and $150 for delivery/install. Not very good warranty!!

    I called in for repair to my reverse osmosis that was cracked and Choice Home Warranty (CHW) customer service sent out a company to assess the issue and they did not tell me the Reverse Osmosis wasn't covered. If I knew it wasn't covered, I would have called my own plumber! The company they sent out was going to charge me 3 times more than a plumber with credentials for the replacement parts and I had to pay $45 service fee for absolutely nothing. This was my first negative experience with CHW. Interesting enough, I didn't get the usual email asking me to rate my experience. I suppose CHW knew they screwed up and no one bothered to make things right. FYI: When you write a positive review for CHW with 5 stars they reward the customer (interesting choice of words) by extending the warranty with an extra month.

    I was sold a home warranty by a company salesman named Frank. About 60 days later I needed to file a claim. The company gave the serviceman the runaround. Had him on hold for about an hour 3 different times. When I tried to get them to settle the claim they told me I did not have the coverage. Their salesman told me he was selling me. Their way to remedy this was to try and refund my premium and the company (BRAD) even offered to do so and was willing to waive all associated refund fees, thus in my mind admitting they are in the wrong, and the claim they would have to pay was more than my premiums. No one should deal with these crooks in my opinion!!!

    Clogged drain - Making claim was very easy and response time was timely. Plumbing issue that was going to have CHW vendor take 5 days before they could get out to us, so we got our own plumber and went the reimbursement route. However, hold time for authorization to get work completed was 3.5 hours. It's only been 36 hrs. in total and everything is taken care of and my reimbursement is already approved.

    The claim was taken within the 24 hr requirement, however the plumbers had other priorities and would not make the repair for 6 days. Choice covered the water heater and labor only. They would not cover the plumbing that was cut out on the intake and outbound lines. The resolution manager Brad gave me a passive I don't care attitude and then offered 2 free service charges on my next 2 claims.

    So to summarize, Choice paid $1025 in labor and unit and the plumber charged an additional $900 that were classified as "modifications". The "cap" on water heaters is $1050 in case people do not know. This is the 3rd time I have had to deal with Choice and it is a very frustrating and emotional time period. It is also criminal that their contractors take advantage of the situation by overcharging for services not necessary (ie: valves, drains, and copper) on units less than 10 yrs. They will look for any excuse to discount or refuse coverage.

    CHOICE falsely advertises and does not do what they say. When the salespeople sign you up, they tell you items under warranty will be replaced at the same level of quality when they can’t be fixed. Untrue! My garbage disposal was a super cheap version and not at all the level of quality. It does not work well. The washing machine - not enough replacement funds were even given to replace it. I am out a washer and do not have enough replacement funds to get another one!

    I had my primary home and a rental with this company and when the heat exchanger broke on my central heat and air unit, they refused to cover it. They based it on the fact that it wasn't "normal wear and tear". So I paid for an independent heat and air technician to come out, and he claimed the crack in the heat exchanged WAS from normal wear and tear. Parts of it were rusty, but he said that was normal too, as most units sit outside. They denied it the second time because they said their policy excluded anything that had rust on it. ?!? They are crooks and frauds, and will do anything to avoid paying an expensive claim.

    I put in a claim for my AC/Heat pump. I was pleased to get an appointment the very next day and that the time frame window was reasonable. The technicians called prior to arriving which was well within the time frame. However, they fixed the heat pump, it was blowing nice warm air into our home, but then the techs were ready to leave. The AC still wasn't fixed. There was a problem with the outdoor unit. As they checked it out they must have been trying to drum up some side business with us, explaining why the motor wasn't working so well. Claiming they could service the unit for a cheaper price than anyone else because it wouldn't be covered under our warranty. They jump started the motor, made sure the AC was working. After that they left.

    A few hours later as the temperature dropped outside, I turned up the heat in our home and started to hear a very strange noise coming from outside. We checked and it was the outside unit's motor. Now all of a sudden it was making a horrible screeching sound that it hadn't made before and no heat was coming through. I called the phone number to the warranty and was told that customer service was closed until 9:00 a.m the next day. I was able to place another service call and have already received an appointment for Monday morning. So I'm not able to call on the same claim that I have to file another claim. I can tell you right now, that I am not paying another service fee to have someone come out and fix whatever damage they caused. I feel they did this so we'd call on them again to come and fix whatever they broke and charge us an arm and a leg.

    I bought their warranty. At the time of purchase they were very good and helpful. Once they got money they didn’t care. After 6 months I call them for plumbing issue and they said as, "Too late. Has old system valve we can't replace and we will give you only $132 to fix it." They didn’t cover my sump pump too. After too many phone calls and getting back forth they gave $600 for repair which cost me &1600 to fix. When I didn't second claim with them after almost year they told the mechanic it's too expensive to repair and then send me email saying, "Your boiler has no fault. It's working fine." They are one of cheap company.

    I set aside 4 hours for the plumber to show up and fix the problems (running toilet and dripping bathtub faucet). He got to my house and determined what needed to be done. He then spent time in his truck to figure out what you would allow him to repair. After about an hour he told me what needed to be done and that he would have to come back another time. I still haven’t heard from anyone. He could have gone to a local hardware store and bought the parts if he didn’t have them on his truck and made the repairs. I now need to set aside another time. I am not at all happy with the service or your company and tell everyone I know to not purchase a home warranty. I would not do it again. I don’t blame the plumber because he can only do what you tell him to do.

    This company is a total scam. They might help with minor problems but they will not cover the big issues. Please read every word of their contract before you give them any money. When my HVAC system failed the way most systems break down they would not help us even though it was due only to usual wear and tear. Today I demanded a cancellation of both of my policies and requested a refund. This after fighting for days over the situation. When you google "best home warranty companies" they are right up there but if you read that fine print you'll learn that on most of the sites they pay to be at the top. In Georgia there are 29,000 complaints that have been lodged against them. If you really want a good home warranty look elsewhere.

    I was disappointed that the part could not be found for my refrigerator. What made it more frustrating was the total lack of communication for over a week while the part search was underway. I would not have known that the part was unavailable except for my calls to Choice. As it is, I purchased the Choice Warranty to avoid windfall expenses.

    I just spent over $2500 to remedy the issue with only $700 support from Choice. I also had to purchase a second smaller refrigerator to use while all this was going on... Total out of pocket will exceed $3000. That is a windfall expense I could have done without. I will have to consider my decision of whether to renew with Choice with greater balance. Final note... your online system does not seem to be supported by Chrome. After several unsuccessful attempts to check the statis of my claim (could not log in), I switched to Microsoft Edge and was able to log in. At that point, there were zero updates along the way so I had to call.

    I lost power to the outlets in my master bedroom. Choice sent a technician about five days(!) later. He troubleshot for four hours and couldn't identify the problem. I called Choice again and they sent another technician. He troubleshot for a while and couldn't identify the problem either. He hypothesized that a rodent had chewed through a wire somewhere. He had no evidence to support this, but he reported it to Choice anyway. Choice then denied my claim saying, "CHW is not responsible for rerunning of new wiring for broken wires." Choice never took responsibility for fixing my problem and took the first chance it could to deny my claim. I regret that I paid for three years of this shoddy service.

    I had a pipe burst in my ceiling that caused a lot of water damage. The Plumber who was dispatched said he turned in 3000 dollars worth of repairs as the pipes needed replaced along with reconstruction of the ceiling. I waited 3 days just to find out that Choice Home Warranty authorized a 10 dollar leak fix (the plumber sent me a pic of the coupler authorized for the fix). ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. I will share my experience, and if that doesn't bother you as a company then I guess you don't care much for the people you call customers. Thanks for nothing!

    I called up last Friday. My washer is broken. The serviceman came on Monday morning and told me after he diagnosed it, that I would receive an email from you on Tuesday morning with the way we were going to proceed. Tuesday afternoon never haven't received it. I called you up at 2. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone going in circles. Your rep told me that the technician never diagnosed it but once he does I could wait 24 hours for a response. I explain the circumstances and what I have been told and asked if they could come to a decision in less than 24 hours, on the same day instead due to the circumstances. Since I got nowhere with her I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there were none there at the time. I asked for a call back and also ask until what time you are open.

    At 7:45 I still had not received a call so I called you but I got your recording saying you're closed at 8. I called back the following day which was Wednesday and spoke to a manager finally who did help resolve it a little quicker. I called and left a message for the technician yesterday and still have not heard back. This is very frustrating being without a washing machine for such a long time.

The only problem I see, was the tech was not taught exactly what to do. He said he had not been involved in the insurance before. So I handed him $ 45.00 and said that is the first step.     Toilet stopped flushing and gurgling pipes were happening with each drain of the shower or sink. The service from clog busters was amazing! The hidden additional fee from Choice was infuriating.     I called to set up new service. I already have 2 accounts with this company and I also referred 1 person to CHW. The person I spoke with told me that my service fee would be 45 dollars but when the new account email was sent it said $60. I called back and spoke with multiple people who kept referring me to another person. Finally the last person I spoke with said he would fix it but it was never done.     I had a claim on my HVAC System that was denied for "It has been determined the failure is with a compressor that has locked or open windings. Compressors and air conditioners have a standard life expectancy of 12-15 years, and with proper maintenance are shown to last 20 plus years. Catastrophic failures as such that predate the standard life expectancy are caused by one or multiple issues that indicate an abnormal operation or malady in the system."

    The system was a 2002 manufacturing date and when the claim was made in 2018 the standard life expectancy was out by 1 year and the HVAC tech said that it was either wear and tear or age that caused the issue. He also stated that Choice Home Warranty would do something crooked to get out of repairing my system. I hoped that he was wrong however he was proved right and my claim was denied. I would not recommended Choice Home Warranty. They are crooks and will take your money but as soon as you need to use the warranty they will deny the claim by any means that they can.

    The initial experience was OK, but the repairman said we needed parts to fix it and that they were going to go back and get authorization from Choice Home Warranty. We did not hear back from the repair company. Choice Home Warranty sent us emails about scheduled appointments for the repair, but after calling twice to the repair organization, they said they had no knowledge of a repair appointment. CHW only approved one of the parts recommended by the repair co. We are still waiting on the repair co. to return with the parts and an estimate for cost.

    My parents called on Saturday 10/20/18 for service for no heat, first appointment they gave them was for Tuesday 10/23/18. Of course no one showed up and now they have to wait again for a new service appointment. When you call up to possibly purchase a plan they tell you 24 hours for service calls, when you go on the website it tells you 24/7 they are available but try and call the office they tell you hours are 9am - 7pm. So now I have 2 elderly people 1 disabled sitting with no heat for 5 days.

    When I asked for a manager last night I was told the manager went home for the day, eventually she gave me a supervisor who advised me she understands the situation and will file a complaint against the sub contractor they chose to hire and will try and put us in for an appointment as soon as possible. Now call me crazy but if this was your 70 year old parents stuck in a freezing house you wouldn't be happy. This is the second time they have done this to them.     Our refrigerator failed on 10/19/18. Called Choice at 11:55 am to start the claim process & request service. A service visit was scheduled for 10/20/18 between 11am-3pm. The Choice rep said that there was no way to expedite the service call even though it was a refrigerator. The service tech showed up 1 hour late at 5pm (29 hours after Choice being notified). The service tech had no explanation as to why he didn’t call me to advise that he was going to be late. Needless to say, I was a bit annoyed after sitting home waiting for the tech since 11am. Once there, the tech was very professional and made the repair. I was dissatisfied with the fact that Choice does not offer an option for expedited service when a refrigerator or heating system fails. When I called Choice to report that the tech was late, the rep told me that all she could suggest was to get my own tech and wait for reimbursement.

    We purchased a five year warranty with this company, and received one year free. Foolishly, we paid for the entire 5 years upfront. After 15 months under warranty, and receiving excuses why things weren't covered, we decided to cancel the warranty. We fully understood we would have to pay a $50.00 "administrative fee," but we did NOT expect what followed. First, we were charged a monthly fee for each of the 15 months we used of our contract. We paid a total of $2,152.50 for a five year (60 month) warranty. So, essentially our monthly charge, had we paid monthly, would have been $35.88 per month, but Choice Home Warranty charged us almost $57.00 per month for the 15 months we used.

    In addition to paying the inflated fee for the 15 months, plus the $50.00 administrative fee, we were also charged $370.00 for the service fees they claim they paid while we were under contract. So, instead of receiving 75% of our money returned, since we only used 25% of the contract, we received $936.00. They don't pay, they overcharge, and keep your money. Buyer beware!!!!

    Why in God's green earth did you send a 187-year-old tech to my house to repair my ceiling fan? First off, the dude was 3 hours late (outside of the call window). Soon after he arrived, he proceeded to fart, mutter to himself (and the ceiling fan), drop screws, tell me that he was “too old for this job”. After an hour (by the way, he also left my ceiling fan in disarray), he told me that there was nothing he could do and your company had to mail me a check for a new fan. Then, he demanded I pay his $65.00 service fee. I asked if he took a credit card, to which he replied, “Naw. Our thang broke.” Perfect. So, he said, “I'll take cash.”

    So, he and his son (he was waiting in the car whole hour because it's obvious that his dad is too old to drive. I'll get to him in a second), proceeded to follow me to the bank... but GUESS WHAT? They got lost. FANTASTIC. They finally tracked me down and I paid them in cash. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Choice: Your company needs do a better job vetting your contractors.     I submitted a drain clog claim and was told that a plumber could not be found in a reasonable amount of time and I could find my own plumber and submit for reimbursement. I gave Choice another 24 hours before choosing that option. I had a plumber to my house in a few hours. They immediately made a diagnosis and attempted to call it in to the authorization department. They were in a 90 min time frame, on hold, waiting, and hung up 2 separate times while trying to submit. This was my first claim ever with this new policy and it was beyond a frustrating experience.

    Please do not ever try this form of getting your claim, use their technicians to avoid this headache. I called Choice several times during the day to try and get a resolution for my plumbers being hung up on. I finally spoke with someone in the resolution department who put them back in the queue for the authorization department - 1 hour later they still haven't talked to someone. Who knows how long it will take to get my situation taken care of.

    My air conditioning stopped working on the Friday before Labor Day. By it being a holiday the technician from Just Cooling Air Conditioning could get out here until that Wednesday, October 5, 2108. He informed Choice Home Warranty on the 2 parts need to get my furnace running. They agreed to have the repairs done on my system which they have not done as I am writing this report. They gave the technician only one of the parts needed. He had to go back to them about the other part. They did not believe him so they sent out another technician from MJTC Maintenance and he told them the same thing.

    I am getting the run around about them waiting on the technician to give them the part number which they should have from the first technician. This is poor customer service. I would prefer them reimbursing my money so I can get a company to repair my furnace. It is getting cold and my air and heat run off the same unit.     I was experiencing a small leak and corrosion in the manifold system of our water line. All the valves were stuck open. Choice Home Warranty sent out Butler Plumbing, who quickly assessed the issue and worked on my behalf with Choice to authorize replacement of the entire manifold.     Service techs are outsourced and they are of very poor quality. They misidentified a problem, give incorrect information, which lead subsequent denial of a claim. I had a "technician" come to my home and diagnose my air conditioner as needing a coil, and within the HOUR the claim was denied because of "previous rust or corrosion." Not only was it impossible for the technician to know that (he had not removed my air handler panel), the coil they are referencing is an evap coil, which by definition transmits moisture from inside to out... So, I'm curious Choice Home Warranty - what do you ACTUALLY cover? Anything? If your company hides behind its ever increasing list of things it can deny, what's the point of buying, paying for or keeping their service? Save yourself the time, money and aggravation... go to ANYONE else!

    BlueRed Heating and A/C came out to check out the Heating System on 10/17/18. The system seems to operate ok sometime, but other times if required for longer periods of time because of the colder temperatures it comes on, blows warm air, then keeps running and doesn't ever stop, but the air coming out is cold the longer it runs. The only way to get it to quit running and blowing cold air is to turn it off completely. So far this early in the season, it only gets cold enough outside to make the system run for a short period of time before it has generated enough heat to adequately heat the home and cut off normally. Therefore, when the technician came out during the day in 70 degree weather, it was performing correctly and he could not make it run long enough for it to switch over to malfunction.

    I will call Choice when the weather is cooler and it begins to malfunction in the daytime temperatures. Please keep this Work Order open, as it will need to be addressed again when the weather is cold during the day. The tech did not want to check out the unit further to see if he could find out why the heat would eventually switch off since it was blowing warm air when he was here. I believe he could have checked the unit for a potential problem and could have found the cause of it failing if run for a longer period of time. He just didn't want to spend the time to check out the pertinent parts.

I called on Friday and the plumber showed up on Saturday but couldn't get a hold of anyone at Choice to authorize the work. Then Monday passed. Then Tuesday, at the end of the day, when I still hadn't heard from you, I called and was told it was approved. By the time the plumber called back, they don't have any openings until the end of next week.     Home heat failed Thursday during first cold snap of the year. Called Choice 7am Friday to schedule service. Received email notifying me of Monday appointment. Called back to Choice at 830am trying to get an earlier appointment. Choice rep put me on hold. Claimed she talked with contractor A1 total service and my appointment had been changed to a same day Friday afternoon appointment. When I called A1 to verify appointment change they had no knowledge of an appointment change.

    Called back to Choice and the next rep and supervisor both confirmed there was no upgrade to the original appointment date and that the previous rep who FLAT OUT LIED TO ME left no notes to our conversation. My wife lost a day of pay staying home from work based on the LIES told to me by your rep. We expect to be compensated by Choice for your reps incompetence that cost us a days pay unnecessarily. (10 hrs x $17.50 an Hour) $175.00. We expect to get a call to verify that reimbursement will be forthcoming. We're sure you can check your call recordings to verify our claim. The only non-exasperating part of the process was how quickly the contractor repaired my heating problem. He had it fixed in less than 2 hours on MONDAY. Ps - Heat is not a luxury, maybe on this particular service request your company should schedule weekend appointments as well.

I didn’t mind so much as I was not living in the house at that time. My second claim, plumbing issue, reported to Choice 10-2, as of today 10-16 no technician has been dispatched. First technician assigned did not show 4 times, second company assigned scheduled 4 days later. Today, was scheduled between 3 pm and 8 pm. Got an email at 5 PM.     Stay away from this company. Our air conditioner went out during a heat wave. We called Home Choice to fix the problem. Bottom line, we need to replace the unit as it was leaking and not running at all. Before Choice would replace the unit they required a test to confirm the problem. The 'test' they required was at our expense. The test would cost more than replacing the air conditioner. Bottom line, we installed the new unit at our expense. Read the fine print... In addition, our dishwasher would not advance through cycles...long story short, they do not cover doors, latches etc which was the problem. Again, FINE PRINT. We fixed at our expense.     The sale representative that sign me up persuaded me into three years contract. He lied that I could cancel and get my refund with no problems. After having a disagreement I tried canceling and they took almost two years of payment and said it is in my contract. However the contract never downloaded and I believe the sale man word. The company refused to pull the video or refund me the administrative fee of $218.76 they took from me, I only had the service for one month and I was charge for one year plus $218.76 fee. They claim my contract started the day I called in even though I requested service start one month later because I didn’t own the property as yet and I was not going to move in until June 10. I am very upset at the level of dishonesty in this company.

    Zero stars! This company is a scam!! Stay away!! You'll hear how "Great" they are when They are trying to sell you. Do not make the mistake that all of us made.

    Stay away! Your claims will not be handled on timely manner. Zero stars! Representative tells me 80% of the claims are resolved within 4 hours. That's a bunch of lie. I have been trying to get my AC fixed for over a week now and my service call was closed stating it was resolved in their system.

    Zero stars! What happens when it's raining cats and dogs and your sump pump goes out and they can't replace right away? Zero stars! What happens when your refrigerator goes out and they can replace/fix right away? Zero stars! Imagine having no AC when it's over 90 degrees and kids in the house! Zero stars! Imagine no heat when it's below zero! Zero stars! Your problem is your problem! Will not get fixed right away, not even within a day or two or within a week. They'll tell you to find your own technician and they'll reimburse you. So what's the point of having the warranty???

    Zero stars! Read the reviews and the nightmare that all of us had here and save your self a whole lot of headache and stress. Zero stars! When they do send a tech out, it's someone new trying to establish a company. I've never had an experienced tech come out and fix an issue. They always have to come out again or send someone else!     Don't waste your money. They send less than experienced technicians to fix things. First it was a plumber who couldn't figure out that the faucet needed to be replaced when the lines were leaking. Now the AC tech they sent replaced a fuse but used the wrong one which caused the wires to short and blew the transformer. They won't do anything to assist with getting this fixed. I've been waiting a week to hear back from the claim case manager. Today I called the regular claims line to try to get help and I'm told the only person I can talk to about this is the claims manager.

    They fail to understand that I have tried to contact her with no luck. I'm told there's not a case manager's manager to talk with. I ask to talk with his manager. She proceeds to tell me the only person I can talk with is the person assigned to my case. ONE PERSON available to help. Ridiculous. The claims manager I did talk to did nothing but quote contract clause numbers. Useless. I'm canceling my contract right now. Waste of money and time.

    CHOICE includes two important clauses in their contract that allow them to arbitrarily deny any significant payout: first they will not pay for any "preexisting" issues or defects regardless of whether or not they were known issues and secondly, they will not pay for anything that could have been prevented with regular maintenance. If you are purchasing a new home with existing AC/Furnace unit(s), or other existing large appliances, there is no way for you to prove whether maintenance was done. There is no burden of proof on the company when they decide an issue was caused by lack of proper maintenance or preexisting defect.

    The only reason to have a home warranty would be for security when purchasing a home, because you don't know how if/how maintenance was done. Since the company does not honor agreements made in good faith, there is absolutely no point in wasting and money on this. I would not buy a home warranty from CHOICE again, even at a tenth of the price. Save your money.

    My kid cutting grass broke the top of both side plumbing. My first time and probably my last. The company hire by very unprepared, late 2 day from the apt. day. Then send some that try to tell me the bath was done by a non plumbers pro... This bath was approve by v.a. inspector and city of Deltona 2 for someone insult the job like I was the one who did it. Got told what was wrong then had to wait for second man to come out. Gave me a date and then he never showed up. Was told they were trying to find another plumber to come out or I could find my own.     I purchased a 3 year contract after a hard upsell for $1,260.00, there was a one month waiting period for my contract to begin which began July 27 2018. August 16, 2018 I submitted a claim that my A/C was not keeping its temperature setting, a technician arrived promptly. No complaints there. However, after paying the $60 service fee, I was told I would have to pay for a leak test; which I refused to pay since I already paid the fee (no satisfaction there).

    I called to cancel my contract Oct. 9, 2018 because of my dissatisfaction (why so long you ask, because this time I was being even more thorough in looking for a accompany, and was actually reading their sample contracts to see if I thought they were going to be dishonest as well). I was passed to a manager that kept offering discounts, I told him I just want to cancel my contract, he kept it up and became belligerent, I kept repeating just cancel my contract, and asked how I would receive my refund and how much; he mumbled an amount and said it will go back to my credit card.

    I checked with my credit card co. on Oct. 12, 2018 & saw no credit. I called them once again. Spoke with a different person who was easier to work with and asked him what my refund would be; he said $1,062.49, I asked how he was calculating that, he said that they charged a $50.00 administration fee and it would be $46.67 a month for 3 months. I disagreed with them charging me for 3 full months and said this is not pro-rating it, and this does not add up. He looked at again and said that it should be $1,069.99 instead and I would receive the credit on my card Oct. 30, 2018.

    I said that a credit should not take that long, he said it takes that long to process it. I told him I should be charging them for holding my money so long; 1. I paid for 3 threes up front in the amount of $1,260.00, 2. I had to wait 1 month before my contract even kicked in. 3. They charged me for a full 3 months, which would have started Sept. 27, 2018 and I cancelled it Oct. 9, 2018. He started talking about the details of the claim I had made, and said my A/C's are old, I said when the contract began they were not even 8 years old, now they are because I purchased the home Oct. 2010 & the bank put in new A/C's. His records stated they were from 2001, I said I don't know where this came from (my house was built in 2006). Then he said if there is a leak that is rust or corrosion which they don't cover.

    The HVAC repairman never told him it was rust or corrosion because he didn't know because I never paid for the leak test, besides if it was either rust or corrosion which apparently 90% of the time is the evaporator coil, the tech never went in my attic. I told him I contacted a friend who is a licensed HVAC person & it was a loose valve on the outside of the unit, since then my A/C has worked fine. He started a slow upsell and wanted to know how much my friend charged me.

    The whole point I wanted to get through to this company is that I just wanted to cancel my contract and have my refund now, not later as their warranty, not to mention their dishonest company was not going to work for me. I told the service rep. that I was going to the BBB and hung up. I did submit a complaint to the BBB, and since notice Choice Home Warranty has an "F" rating because of all the complaints. I wish I had done more research prior to signing up for a contract with this co., and had read that first. I would never recommend this company to anyone, if fact my neighbor was considering them since I had them, and I was sure to tell him never to use them.

    We paid $425 in advance for the Total Plan contract. We had a local HVAC contractor come out to inspect our gas heating system before needing it for winter. Upon inspection, technician noticed three cracks in the heat exchanger. He turned off gas supply and suggested replacing heat exchanger. We called CHW and scheduled one of their technicians who was coming from S. Carolina. We were given a five-hour window for him to show up, and stayed home all day waiting for him. He was a no-show, and didn't call to cancel or reschedule. We called CHW who told us the service call had been listed as complete.

    When we told CHW the service hadn't even been done, and asked them if we could use our local contractor, they gave us permission to do so. Our technician forwarded a complete report to CHW of their findings and recommendations. CHW told us they were denying the claim because, in their opinion, the gas unit had water damage. Our contractor vehemently denied heat exchanger was damaged due to water damage. CHW came to this conclusion without any evidence, and contrary to our contractor's report. As a result of CHW blatant lies and refusal to honor their contractual obligation, we canceled our contract with CHW, getting only $100 refund. CHW are crooks, in the business of taking money without honoring their commitments. They blatantly lied about the cause for needed repairs of the equipment to get out of paying for those repairs.

    I have had my policy less than 3 months and made 4 service calls. 1st was microwave and they denied it because the claim was submitted to early after their grace period. 2nd plumbing problem went okay. 3rd refrigerator, denied because they said they don't repair leaks, but a technician came and replaced a water valve which is suppose to be covered according my "total" plan. I have appealed this denial and still waiting for the caseworker a Tanisha ** to get in contact with me.

    4th electrical, I am still waiting for the technician to arrive on 10/21/2018 which is 12 days after I submitted my claim. I have had a number of phone conversations with CHW employees at various levels regarding the poor service and asked for cancellation of this policy but get a runaround. Also, I took out a 3 year policy and was told by the salesman, Greg **, who now will not answer my calls, that everything will be covered. The policy came after by email and was full of "exclusions". So I say this program sucks and beware of their scamming!!!

    First, it will end up taking a full 7 days to get our AC repaired, which is unacceptable in Florida. Some of this is due to Choice not being responsive to the vendor relative to covering costs. Additionally, in addition to the $65 service call fee for the insurance, it will end up costing us an additional $135 for costs that the insurance will not cover. (This was explained in a lengthy email from Choice with lots of legalese, the bottom line of which is that they will not pay.) So, we feel that the experience was extremely poor.

    I feel as though this warranty company is worthless to me. I have been trying to get my air conditioner in Florida fixed for about 1 month. I've had to pay over $900.00 thus far. I want to know what you do cover? I'm sure this list is shorter than those claims you deny. I am very unhappy with Choice. I want some help in getting a partial reimbursement of my money. I was told by the technician that the unit is now working.

    The unit is only 2 years old. Modifications were made last year. Once again at my cost. We are retired senior citizens. We are currently at our summer residence, therefore, I only have the word of the companies you use and their technicians. I do not want to be forced to take legal action against all of you, I simply can't afford a lawyer, however if I have to I will retain a lawyer for exploitation of senior citizens. However, I was slightly disappointed in the length of time it took to assign the contractor and the standard email sent when questioned.     I submitted a claim for A/C repair. Sent A/C company to make repair and left. Repair failed, send company to repair 2nd time, it failed. Sent company 3rd time, A/C company said A/C unit bad and needs to be replaced. Choice Warranty then denied my claim on grounds A/C compressor was beyond its life expectancy, that the coils were dirty (when I cleaned them 2 months ago), and oil on lines (from A/C company working on unit). I appealed their decision and they only stated the same thing they said before without really discussing what's happened.

    I went to cancel Choice warranty after signing up with them for 5 years for over $1400, and they are only giving back to me $166 because I canceled before the end of the contract. I have had to pay for the previous A/C work that they could not and would not repair. Choice Warranty IS NOT a warranty company you want to do business with because on ANY major claim they will find a reason to deny it.

So the total wait time here will be about 2 weeks, however, I guess I shouldn't complain. Asking for the home inspection didn't go very well since the Choice employee couldn't click on a link.     I am extremely disappointed with CHW. After dealing with a very pushy salesperson I purchased a one year contract and switch from AHS only for the cost of the plan. On Friday October 5th I discovered water seeping from my tank. I called in my claim at 9 am only to receive a text at 5:36 pm stating that a tech will arrive at my home on Friday, October 12th from 3 pm to 8 pm. This was totally unacceptable, my roommate is a heart and cancer patient and I am under doctor's care for cellulitis a skin disease that requires a higher level of hygiene. To wait over a week was not happening. I called Customer service to express my concerns. She stated twice that I had the option of choosing a technician of my choice and receive reimbursement or I could call the vendor that pick up my claim and see if I could get an earlier appt.

    I called the vendor only to be told that I could call on Monday to see if there were possibly an earlier openings but I needed to understand they were in Hazelcrest and I am in Streamwood, quite a distance. So I called a few recommended plumbers to find one willing to come and look at it on Saturday. The tech replaced the bushing on the top of tank for the hot water return. Problem solved only until it happened again on Tuesday. Called CHW to review my policy as to what is covered and upon her suggestion I purchased the water tank from Home Depot a 40 gallon as oppose to a 50 gallon that was replaced for $444.40. Called the technician to install. Upon arrival per the representative's instructions the claim was called in for approval. The tech called it in at 11 am this morning. By 11:30 am my claim was denied stating the vendor assigned to my claim evaluated the situation and found the hot water tank was leaking.

    The vendor was never at my home therefore this is a fraudulent denial. I have appealed this claim and will contact the Attorney's General office if need be as this is totally unacceptable and requires an investigation of their processes. Seniors are pry for scams such as this, and needs to stop. I am very concern after reading all these reviews.
