    A/C repair - We had an emergency situation on a Thursday night and were told the soonest someone could get us was Saturday. However, a technician managed to get here on Friday. The tech identified the problem immediately and told us he could fix it but that we could see several hundred dollars by fixing it ourselves. He told us exactly what to do and we had the house cooled down within a couple of hours for 87.00 as opposed to 600.00. I'm not sure corporate would approve of how he handled it but we sure do and we will never call on anyone other than CHOATE'S again! The technician has earned his employer a loyal customer and our recommendations.

    Air condition - Haven't been repaired yet. My mom is 80 yrs old. Do ya'll know how hot it is outside. I guess not. It's not your family member. I pay faithfully every month and this what I get. Technician don't answer phone so why would you leave your number. Don't answer, haven't call back and said nothing so don't ask me how to rate ya'll when you haven't done your part.

    I have had three (3) claims involving my HVAC system. All of which denied when first reported. Thankfully, CHW offers an appeal process, which I used to further explain the situation better. All appeals were approved in my favor. I would suggest CHW rework the exclusion portions so as not to include symptoms of a larger issue which ultimately is covered in their contract.

    Purchase three-year warranty to cover home and appliances and heating and cooling unit. Notified company of cooling unit not working. Sent out technician the next day. Assessment done by technician sent by them recommending a new unit. They decline to replacing unit. Or even to charge the existing unit. It is 91° in the area in which I live. And is scheduled to be in the 90s for the next several days. All they could do is say that I can appeal. What am I supposed to do with a family living in a home with no air-conditioning. The reasoning on which they gave for not preparing or replacing my unit. Was resulting of age and Rust. All things age and Rust. Do not I repeat do not purchase from this company.

    I called on a Wednesday to report the dryer was squealing very loud, and requested a repair. CHW contacted All Appliance and an appointment was set up for Friday. The technician came when scheduled and had a new set of rollers. He promptly replaced the rollers and inspected the idler pulley which appeared to be ok. I gave him some grease, he reinstalled the idler pulley and reassembled the dryer. He then started the dryer and didn't like the sound of it. The squealing sound was gone, but it made a slight thumping sound, so he decided to go back to his office and order an idler pulley.

    On Sunday my wife dried one load of clothes and noticed that several items had cuts and tears in them. I looked inside the dryer and noticed that the front of the drum had dropped down and was not in the proper track, also there were piles of metal filings by the lint trap. On Monday, I called All Appliance and told them what I had found, and they said they would come out as soon as they could. The technician came on Tuesday and disassembled the dryer and found that one of the guides was damaged and the drum had jump out of the track, which caused the drum to wear a hole in the metal piece that is no longer available, and also bent the side of the dryer.

    I am not a dryer technician (I am a retired engineer) so I can only speculate what happened. Here is my speculation; when the dryer was reassembled on Friday, the drum was not positioned properly, which caused it to make a strange sound when operating and the technician assumed it was from the idler pulley. Although my wife didn't hear a loud bang when she used the dryer, the drum must have jumped out of the track, causing all the damage.

    So now I am left with an unrepairable dryer, and since I didn't read the contract with CHW in detail, I'm finding that replace doesn't really mean "replace", it really means that if it can't be repaired, you will offer "cash out" for what you determine is a "reasonable allowance" and it will take up to 30 days to get a check for that reasonable allowance. Also, I am surprised that CHW does nothing to help in finding a replacement appliance and installation. I do want to thank Brittany for helping to relieve some of the burden. CHW initially offered $299.00 and she was able to get that bumped up to $400.00, but I still have to wait for up to 30 days for the check. In the meantime I had to order a slightly upgraded dryer from Home Depot that with installation is costing $680.95.

    Our Fridge stopped working on Sunday and I reported it and on Monday Choice assigned a repair tech to come out Wednesday, not good, a Fridge needs a quicker response time. I called Choice and the comment I got from the Choice agent "we are not an emergency service" but I contend that on essential appliances they should look who can COME OUT FIRST not who RESPONDS FIRST, taking the first responder isn't always the best customer service vs who can get it fixed first.

    Tech came out Wednesday. Said the start relay/capacitor was bad and he would turn the ticket in when he got back to the office and it would take 5 DAYS to get a part. Next day at 3 PM I called the repair service as they had not contacted me, and she said they were still waiting on approval so I called Choice and they had sent the approval an hour ago but didn't get the request for approval until noon (the repair service waited until noon to even submit the request) and Choice took two hours to approve. I called the repair service back and she said she would look for the approval.

    Past technicians would call Choice on the spot and get approval and repair it if they had part or get the part within a day. I called around and several supply stores had the part so why it takes your selected repair service 5 days to get a simple part is unacceptable. I checked, I could order the part on Amazon and have it in two days, why does this repair service take 5 days? This is unacceptable service on an essential appliance. I still have not heard back from the appliance company when they will actually fix my refrigerator, it's been broke 5 days now.

    I filed a claim for my Roper washer on May 15. Tech scheduled for May 20. That was cancelled and re-booked for May 22. That was cancelled and re-booked for May 23. It HAPPENED !~ Technician needs to buy proper parts and indicated 5-7 days before he would return IF CHW approved the repair!!! Say what?? I could have bought the "lid switch" for $12 online and done it myself but I was in meetings all this week and decided to use my CHW warranty. This is not a complaint-YET! If the repair is declined it will fast become one!!! $45 out of pocket 10 days in and no repair?? I don't think so ~!!

    The plumber you sent gave me a 4 hour window. That's half of my work day. 7am - 11 am. He didn't call until exactly 11 am to ask me if I was at home. He shows up in 15 minutes after, take a look at the area and says he would not be able to do the work because his equipment would not fit in that area and the alternative is to go up on the room to the waterline and that his is not insured for that.     One company that Choice sent out showed up to my house before the time we agreed upon and blamed me for leaving my phone at the house. If I don't answer a company should not show up early and hope for the best and then blame me for not being home. Then the next company they assigned me to never showed up to my house. It was more than 24 hours and the company kept saying they are still trying to locate the part. I called out my own company and Choice said they would only reimburse me $260 and I would be out of pocket the rest because the job cost over $400 to complete.

    I was trying to buy a home warranty and Choice sales called me. I was not initiating the call. He was trying to hurry me up to enroll which is fine. However, later in the call, he started to make fun of me and was rude. I was trying to go to another room in my work to get the credit card and anyway I was busy at work.     If it were possible to leave zero stars that's what I would rate this company! Absolute FRAUDS!!!! Stay away from purchasing their home insurance. We have been paying them for over 2 years and filed a claim on our garbage disposal this year. They sent in a company to evaluate a week later, we paid 45 dollar deductible. Then... NOTHING. We had to call them only to be told that they were sending out another company because the other company refused to come back. This was due to non payment on their part. We were then told we had to pay the next company a $45 deductible. Uhhhh, excuse me?. NO! Not our problem they didn't pay the company like they should have. Not to mention they leave you on hold FOREVER! We will be turning this in to the credit bureau. For as much as we paid our we could have fixed it ourselves. What an absolute joke. Get a credit card and pay it yourself!

    I made the error of submitting my initial claim incorrectly. It was denied. I realized my error and called immediately. My first contact said to "dispute" the decision by clicking the link and following the process. I did this, but Case Managers only work M-F. This was Sunday evening. I then contacted CHW Monday morning explaining my mistake and was told that the claim was going to be resubmitted and dispatched. I then received a call at 12:30 Monday, May 20th from my case manager Christine and was told that the case was going to be dispatched. By 5:30 pm the call still had not been dispatched nor had the claim status been updated.     I placed a claim for 2 ceiling fans: one is completely burned out, the other has some switches that are defective. Choice will not pay to have either repaired. They are offering me $70.00 total. They are indicating that they do not cover lighting, which is a part of both ceiling fans. I would not recommend Choice - it is not "peace of mind" when they find a way to not cover an item... It is not "peace of mind" when you can't speak with a decision maker that is knowledgeable of house components.

    I was recently assigned a Case Manager for a prior claim - her name is Chardinique. Chardinique did contact me in a timely manner initially, but when it came time for questions that I had - she placed me on hold...and the call was disconnected. I have since called her back 4 times over the last 10 days & she has not returned my phone call. In retrospect, the fact that she has refused to call me back - I can only assume that she intentionally hung up on me. I have had other experiences with Choice where there is no one to discuss issues with. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

    Bathroom sink was leaking and valve needed adjustment. Took a whole week to finally get someone and they came and then never heard from them again. I called and was told that they would come the next day - waited and waited and they never showed up. Had to close that case and open another and took more time. Finally CHW found another plumber and to find out that I needed a new faucet and the conclusion CHW does not cover a new faucet so I had to find my own plumber, of which thank God I did and it was fixed the same day. If CHW would have found a decent plumber in the beginning I would have found out sooner. I do not believe that CHW had good contractors in the NYC area.

    On 5/8/2019 I placed a claim for my ice maker to be repaired. On 5/10/2019 a repairman came to my home (2 Hours Late for the appointment) and informed

    me that a part had to be ordered and he would get the work order approved and he would be back out to complete repair. He asked for his payment and I wrote him a check. The repairman seemed knowledgeable and was very polite. The work order was approved for repair at 9:38 PM on 5/10/19. I called the repairman on either 5/14 or 15 and asked for an update on the repair and he informed me that he expected the part to be in on either 5/17 or 5/20.

    On 5/21/2019 I tried to contact the repairman and his voice mail is full and he is not receiving calls. I called the call center and talked with Oscar and he asked me to hold on as he would contact the repairman and get back with me. Oscar came back on the line and he informed me that the claim for this repair had not been approved and the repairman was going to try and get approval. I asked Oscar to look at the system and see that the claim has been approved and I do not think he understood what I was saying. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that they would have to call me back. I just tried to call the repairman again and he answered his phone and informed me that the parts were on his truck and he would be at my home tomorrow afternoon to make the repairs. Call center needs some help!

    This company is a total scam. If they do not want to cover a repair, they simply do not assign a technician and want you to do a reimbursement plan. So when you get your own person, they have to spend hours on the phone to get "approval" for a repair. Most companies will not do this so then you have to pay that company for their time and repair if it's an emergency. After that, you submit your receipts for the out-of-pocket repair, CHW simply claims that you didn't follow their rules and won't pay you back. This has happened to me on an air conditioning system that went out in July; a leaky valve under a sink; and a pool filter that went out. I have not received 1 reimbursement dollar from them over this past year. I filed a complaint with the BBB in New Jersey to no avail. I'm filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs to see if that helps. If we customers stick together and boycott this company, then maybe they'll change their ways.

    I have been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks. The first company never showed back up after original diagnosis, the second company identified the defect, but part in back order. Choice passes to another company to come out and diagnose and have yet show. Offered me $600 buyout in a refrigerator that is over $2000 dollars. Terrible customer support, as soon as my fridge is repaired I will be cancelling my coverage and going to a good company. I would not recommend Choice to anyone.

    This is our second claim during our initial (and only) service year with CHOICE Home Warranty. Our upstairs AC unit stopped cooling. We called a local technician who identified the problem as a failed compressor. I then submitted my claim to CHOICE. The service technician from CHOICE confirmed the same problem. I then received a denial of my claim from CHOICE reciting some ambiguous language suggesting that we had misused the item in some way and that the failure was not the result of "normal wear and tear." I brought this information to the local technician CHOICE had sent for the service call and he said the failure was indeed the result of "normal wear and tear", meaning the claim is covered and should be paid.

    I filed an appeal on the 5th day of the 7-day appeal period. Before my "Case Manager" had even called to acknowledge my appeal, I got a customer satisfaction survey asking for feedback on how good her service had been. She then called for the first time several hours later (two days after my appeal) and left me a voicemail. I returned her call (a voicemail) within 30 minutes but have never heard from her again.

    In support of my appeal, I provided CHOICE an email from the technician that said the failure of the compressor is due to normal wear and tear. Ten (10) days have gone by and I have not gotten a response on the appeal, let alone approval of my claim. I could not imagine worse service from a home warranty company. The cost of their service was a complete waste of money. Never buy from them. They deserve to go out of business.

The following was my original posting as well as my second response to their response. I chose Choice Home Warranty because of some reviews I found online. However my experience with this company when I made my first claim on an Air Conditioner issue, has made me realize I made a bad decision. First item is that they used a contractor that was not licensed in my community. Second is that they ended up denying my air conditioned repair request based upon an exempt item listed in the heating section. They would not cover anything that was a "valve" under exceptions in the heating coverage section. This exception was not in the Air conditioning section-remember my problem was that my AC did not work and the broken part was in the Compressor unit itself.

    After filing a dispute and talking to a supervisor I was still denied. As anyone would do I then asked for my money back which was around $500.00 for the payment made for the warranty itself. I was also denied because they stated the cost they had incurred sending the contractor out to diagnose and attempt to repair- even though it never got repaired, had exceeded what I paid for the warranty itself. One last note: Another contractor I consulted with to repair my problem, not the one assigned from this company, was made aware of my bad experience with this warranty company. They use to be a contractor for Choice Home Warranty but they got tired of telling their customers all the time that common issues were not covered.

    The company never had an advocate reach out to me as they originally posted. Yes they did authorize to replace the control transformer and the thermostat. Neither of the items repaired our AC. Once they determined it was an electric coil that controlled a valve, they would not cover anything that was a "valve" under exceptions in the heating coverage section. This exception was not in the Air conditioning section--remember my problem was that my AC did not work and the broken part was in the Compressor unit itself. Also note that the issue was not the valve itself, it was an electric coil that controlled the valve.

    My thermostat they replaced was a Honeywell thermostat that was WI-FI enabled so I could control my heating and cooling on my smartphone. They replaced it with a cheap thermostat. I have now reinstalled the original Honeywell thermostat that works just fine. None of the work they did fixed my problem and actually left my situation in a worse state. They informed me that they could not refund my warranty payment because they have incurred cost that exceeded my payment--again none of their work fixed my problem. So I would like a request again a refund for the original payment I made to purchase the warranty.

    I reported the problem with my dryer on May 8. The technician came and said it needed a new motor and left. I received an email from Choice saying the work had been approved. Had to wait several days for the parts to arrive and technician came out to install. During installation he found it needed additional work. What dissatisfies me is the technician attempted to call Choice and get additional work approved. They would not approve over the phone telling him he had to make the request online and wait for approval. The technician called yesterday and said the work was approved and he would call again when it arrives. It is now May 17 and I still do not have a working dryer and I've had to take wet clothes to a pay laundry in another town to dry them.

    I have to say we were disappointed in how the dishwasher claim was handled. When the technician came out to check our dishwasher he explained that it would cost 400.00 to repair. It would be worth replacing the dishwasher with a new one. My experience with other warranty companies is that they pay the technician to replace the dishwasher. The technician are able to make the purchase at a wholesale discount. We would be fine with paying for the installation. But that option was not provided. We were told we would receive a check for 179.99. That cost would not cover the cost of a new dishwasher. Then we were offered a final amount of 230.00. Which is still not sufficient. Even if Choice offered 300.00 it would make the cost of purchase, delivery and installation more palatable. We have a three year contract for two homes. We believe we have invested more than enough money to cover the cost of a 400.00 dishwasher.

    Purchased Choice Jan 2018. My air went out, they refused to fix it stating it was because of maintenance! You cannot maintain a blower motor! I had to buy a new air handler handler costing me $3400! My $2000 washing machine started smoking, technician came, said it was a bearing. Choice wouldn't pay for the repair and then offered $350! After an argument they agreed to go to $500. I had to pay an additional $800 for a new washer! My dishwasher broke, took the company 4 months to get their act together to get it fixed a $50 part! Now my downstairs air handler stopped working, they sent a kid out that was 5 hours LATE. He looks at the unit for 2 minutes, comes back and says it's out of freon. WHEN I CALLED I TOLD DISPATCH THE LOW PRESSURE SWITCH WAS OPEN! He then tells me he needs to contact Choice to get an approval. Of course Choice denies it.

    I called Choice. They had someone call me to tell me to read, they don't cover a leak test! What on earth am I paying for if they deny every claim! They don't replace it if they can't fix it either! I called my AC company, they said it's $85 for an AC leak test! Choice couldn't cover that? I will update and see once I get a diagnosis if they even repair it! My AC cost me $8500! I am not buying another unit! I am disabled on a fixed income!

    My first time using Choice, there was a smell coming from the sink and we figured it was the trap. I called and I was set up with a company and they called me. The person on the phone was very rude. I end up hanging up on her and called Choice to explain the problem, and they immediately set me up with another pluming company OPS... The person who showed up, was not prepared. He had no bucket to catch the water when he removed the trap. He needed towels and or paper towels to clean up after he got water all over the bottom cabinet. He did not make us feel like he was an experienced plumber. He finally put the trap back on and left. I have no idea if the problem has been resolved, there is no smell as of today. We shall see..

    This company offers you the world, but when it comes to delivering their promise, you might as well talk to the wall. I put in a claim for a leaking pool pump, they sent a tech out and he says that it is old and from normal wear and tear the housing has a small crack and will need to be replaced. So Choice denies the claim, and I must say the rep who I spoke with was outright rude. I had two other pool techs look at the pump and they both agreed that their tech was right, this crack is from the age of the unit and is very common. So if it is from normal wear and tear should they deny the claim. You are suppose to have peace of mind when you buy a home warranty not total frustration when you need them.

Tech was a no show YESTERDAY 5/14 after Supervisor Luis confirmed they would be. I'm at home now waiting again.... CHW only responded because they know that a month to fix a fridge is unfathomable. If their resolution/response time was as prompt as their response on this site to my review...well we wouldn't have a problem then would we? Consumer: They offered a free service call. Which would YOU prefer? -- a free service call or a running fridge for your family of 4?!?! Don't be fooled. CHW suck and they know it.

    Original Review: My issue started the beginning of April when I awoke to find my 21 year old fridge was warm and the freezer was barely cooling and no ice was being made. The FIRST company dispatched sent 3 tech prior to determining the thermostat was not working. Mind you---it took 3 visits. During this time, the constant moving of the fridge back and forth loosened the water line hose, which caused a leak on my hardwood floors and garage (kitchen fridge backs up against garage wall). 2 more Techs came out to determine cause. In the end I had the water line shut because it appears that refrigerator water lines are not covered. Yet ice makers ARE covered. Well... the water line FEEDS the ice maker, so.... WT?!?!

    Fast Forward 3 weeks and another 2 techs later, fridge would cool for about 3 days then go HOT. Fast forward to yesterday. After installing TWO thermostats, fridge is still warm. Tech came and now says defrost timer needed replacing. He replaced and told me to plug in fridge. This morning, FRIDGE is HOTTER THAN EVER. REALLY?!! In the meantime they are taking my monthly premiums. I've purchased AND HAD TO THROW OUT over $400 worth of food over the past 5-6 weeks. We are now eating out. Once this is resolved, you know what happens. Beware. Customer Svc are clueless--they can't even read each other's notes. It's been over 1 MONTH. How would you feel about paying for services not rendered???

    I have had Choice for several years now on multiple properties. I called them last week as my A/C was not cooling and they sent a technician over who said the refrigerator coil needed repair and that it was normal wear and tear and he was sure Choice would cover it. Choice denied my claim saying the technician said it was rust and corrosion. I called up the A/C company which sent the technician to verify and they confirmed that Choice was lying and their report clearly states normal wear and tear. At this point my case was handed over to a case manager who called after 3 days. We live in Texas and the heat has already become unbearable. My kids are sleeping without A/C and it is very, very bad.

    The case manager said that a leak detection test was necessary and we said the leak detection was done by the same technician itself which Choice had sent. After this, I have made 7 calls and am always promised a call back which never happens. I am so disappointed and have decided to fight this all the way to the courts if I have to. Typical corporate crap - deny legitimate claims and harass the hell out of customer. You picked on the Wrong customer. I will not give up this fight.

    I found my hot water heater was leaking on a Friday evening. I made a claim and a plumber was sent Saturday afternoon. By the time the assessment was made the Choice dept that was responsible for approving the claim was closed. I live in the pacific time zone and it was still early here. I had to wait until Sunday morning to get approval. Now the plumbing vendor did not work on Sundays. Luckily for me, the plumber called his supervisor and was allowed to come out and install the water heater on Sunday. I think that since the claims dept is open 24/7, at least one person in the approval dept should be on duty 24/7. Remember, when we call you it is usually an emergency. We shouldn't have to wait for approval. Your business is like the police, fire, and hospitals. It should be open 24/7 The plumber, Andy from 5 star home services was great.

    Updated on 05/19/2019: This will be my second review on Choice Home Warranty to let people know just how they operate. April 29th claim was turned in for non-cooling A/C. Assigned repairman CS Air Services April 29th, came out 4/30/19. Write up ticket states found system frozen leak in evap coil, needs to be replaced. I was told, "We are not responsible for malfunction or improper operation due to rust or corrosion of the system and appliances", claim was denied. Have never heard from a person from then on. And the work order does not state coil had rust or corrosion, says it needs to be replaced. I have still to this day have not talked or received a return email from Choice Home Warranty. Oh they did respond to Consumer Affairs to make them look like they have done something, but not to me. I was told through Consumer Affairs to get a leak check.

    Well I can't seem to do that due to the fact a lock has been put on my outside unit preventing anyone else to service my unit for a second opinion or a leak test... that I'm still wondering why if your repair service just told you it was leaking. I am beyond angry at this point, so I called the service CS Air Services asking why this was done. Was told the locks were already on the unit. He just happened to carry a key which is a lie because my unit has not been serviced since it was cleaned by Choice Home Warranty service repairman Avila A/C & Heating in 10/3/2018, which I paid out of pocket to have the unit cleaned and financed through this service repair company with Choice Home Warranty, and they did not leave a lock on my unit.

    Original Review: Placed a claim 4/29/19 sent out repairman non-cooling a/c. Nothing was done, needed approval from them; denied claim, I appealed claim. Got notice of a claim person. Have never heard from them since then. I sent email notices and called several days. No response. Nothing from April 29, 2019. I have turned them in to the Better Business Bureau and still waiting to hear from them. My first claim with them I had to wait a month to get a check to replace my refrigerator. Also have to file an appeal to get action from them. I do not recommend this company at all.

    This was one of those rare serendipitous situations that just sneak up. We arrived home late Thursday after being gone for eight days. Starved after a day of travel, I barbecued a steak for dinner and threw some scraps of food into the disposal and nothing happened. Early to bed, I tried the disposal again on Friday morning. Still nothing happened, and shortly after 9am, I called Choice Home Warranty to get the problem resolved.

    About 20 minutes later, the repair service called to schedule an appointment, which they scheduled for 10:15am to noon. Not more than 20 minutes later, the service technician called to say he was on his way, and he arrived about 15 minutes later. He got down on the floor in front of the sink, cleared all the usual cleaning materials out of the cabinet, started to adjust the disposal canister, jumped up and let the water run into the drain, played around with the machinery below again, did his magic, and said we needed a new unit. Within a minute of running out to his truck, he came back with a new unit in hand, and in about five minutes, had swapped out the old unit for the new one. I signed the work order, paid my copay, and he was gone. It was probably the shortest, best appliance repair experience I ever had in my life.

We were without AC for a week while they gave us the runaround, refusing to give an answer of yes or no, until late on a Friday.     I have been without air conditioning for two weeks. One might wonder, why? The answer would be, a lack of clear communication, proper follow-up procedures, and a well-executed customer service plan. The initial evaluation takes place on a Thursday. We are told, a part has to be ordered and the home warranty company must approve the part. "You will hear back from us tomorrow with a plan of attack." Fast forward to the following, Wednesday when I call the technician he says, "Your claim was denied." That does not sound right so I call the home warranty company. The claim was never denied and the part was ordered. The part is ready for install by Thursday however the technician and the warranty company cannot get on the same page.

    I wait another week for the warranty company and the technician to set up an appointment for me on Friday between 8 am - 11 am. At 1:15 pm I try the technician but no answer, so I call the warranty company, the response I receive is, "This service is now pushed until Monday morning. " Part of this is the warranty company's issue, part of this is an unreliable technician, combine both and get one of the worst customer experiences ever. This warranty was part of my home buying purchase but I would not pay for this warranty out of pocket. You may spend more money on the repair if you have a major system issue, but you won't be without for weeks on end while someone is pocketing your money.

    The first problem was that they could not find any repair companies to work for them - not a good sign - so they told me to find someone on my own, and then get reimbursed by them. So you pay first, and then hope they actually do reimburse. As many other reviews state, they just look for ways to not pay. The heat exchanger in my HVAC unit failed in the most common way - it cracked after years of expansion and contraction from the high heat it must withstand. Over time, this will cause cracks at the weakest part, the seams. This cracking causes the weakest parts to lose their corrosion protection, and the corrosion forms at the seams - after the cracks have started.

    When denying my claim, they went into details on how certain issues can cause leaks onto the exchanger, but that is not what happened at all, and they have absolutely no reason to believe that it did. I offered to send photos, and offered to let them send any person of their choice to inspect it for themselves. They of course refused. Their only intent is to refuse the claim, because it is expensive ($2200). Their claims people clearly have no technical knowledge whatsoever, and they are simply reading from scripts that are developed to deny claims. The worst part of all this is that there is no appeal, and there is no one at all to talk to other than the person handling your claim. They claim that those people answer to no one, and that their word is final - always. No one in his right mind should use this company. If you do, you might as well invest your money at a casino = you might win, but you will probably lose.

    Washer was not repairable. Originally was offered cash in lieu of replacement of 300.00. I contacted customer service with my displeasure of this amount. I was informed I would be contacted the following day with another option. I was called early on the following day and offered a 350.00 allowance which I accepted. Very prompt response and solution.     Pool filter repair. Was assigned to a claims agent that only called once and didn’t leave a message then it took 7 different calls to claims department and was never able to talk to her. Then after 7 call and almost a week later another agent said only $141 was covered, and in the mean time my pool was getting more dirty and greener which took a lot more than the $141 to fix. This was a horrible experience!

    At first he was nice but seemed in a hurry to get me off the phone so he can go to the next person. Also I wanted to pay monthly he told me I can but after taking my info he wanted to take it out annually for the first time. I said that is impossible and he started to get me off the phone and I told him "If that is the way y'all going to be then I will cancel my sign up." He did apologized and I finished what I needed telling him.

    Plumber from Choice Home Warranty 04/25/2019 unprofessional and caused flooded basement. Carpet in a basement floor is damaged and Choice refused to take responsibility for replacing carpet. I would not recommend this CHW to noone. To pay a claim they looking for a reason to deny.
