    I had your product protecting my home 3 years ago. So, I came back to you for coverage of my new home. The ordering process of your product was extremely easy. Later, I checked my checking account. I was horrified to see that $40 was taken out of that account. My horror came from what I repeated over and over. "I am closing on a home on the 23rd of this month and I need all my money for that event". The warranty is for that home, I repeated stated that I need all my money to put towards the closing cost. In spite of my repeated statements, the first month's payment was taken out of my checking account, last night. I was very angry and called back to your company at 8:30 PM, Eastern Time. A manager was still working and he resolved my problem.

    The low rating above is a direct result of the fact I was never told at that point in time that the first payment was going to be deducted from my checking account at that moment. I understood my protection plan would start on January 6th and I assumed the payment would be deducted from my checking account at that time. I will come back to you after I close on my new home. I was told the discounts I received will be in force when I call back. I am pleased with the outcome of this adventure. Thank you!!!

    The only thing thing that I am dissatisfied with is I have paid 6 times for a service call in one year for a washing machine that is 10 years old. I could have paid for a brand new one with the 45.00 service fee and not having to go three weeks without a machine.

    I have a 6 yr. contract since 2018 and this was the first time I used the service. My fridge was freezing everything and I called for service on Monday, Dec 2. Repair facility came on Wednesday, but did not have the parts required and had to come back on Friday. Much of the food had to be thrown out due to freezer burn and I was not too pleased with having to wait 5 days for service, totally unacceptable! Repair men were very good.

    I was told from Choice Warranty to look for the technician to at my house on12/4/2019 between 7;00 am &11;00. My husband is sick. I have to get his bath and breakfast. Nobody show up or call.     My refrigerator stopped working out of nowhere, so I filled out the online Choice claim form and an appointment with a local service provider was set within a few hours. The appointment was for a specific date/time (within 36 hrs of claim) and if that date/time didn't work for me, I was given a contact number so I can change it. Thankfully the date/time worked. The technician called me in advance to confirm, and he showed up as promised.     I purchased a home warranty because of the deal I saw online and was emailed about after I obtained a quote. When I bought the policy, it did not match the promised deal, $75 service fee instead of the standard $85. When I called and asked about it, they said it was in with the manager for approval and I would receive confirmation via email. I never received the confirmation. All I am looking for is Choice Home to honor its deals with their current customers.

    I had a hot water heater expire so I called the Choice Home Warranty and told them that my hot water heater had gone out and I needed help. Nowhere along the way did anyone tell me, "Oh I am sorry we don't replace hot water heaters." The big sales pitch is if your appliance goes out and can't be fixed, Choice is there to replace it. The claim went in, a plumber arrives with the hot water heater to replace the old one and lo and behold, Choice sends back a text that it is unauthorized. Well what a shock!! If I had known that there was not a replacement I would have shopped around to get a good price and a plumber of choice.

    The excellent plumber was here, I was in an emergency situation, I told him to go on a put it in. That is what happened. I am dissatisfied with the fact that when I bought the contract and when I called in the claim, NO ONE said, "Oh by the way, we don't replace hot water heaters." Naive me, I didn't question anyone. Foolishly I paid for the year in one sum. Never again. I am wanting to know if it is possible to have a refund on the rest of the contract. This experience is not one I want to repeat.

    So far made 3 claims and none are covered. They say they cover all system but please read the exclusions. There are more exclusions than actual coverage. For some reason, most of the defects are fall into the exclusion criteria. As far as I am concern, this is not a good way to do business since they do not disclose the exclusion to any customers until the actual claims. I will be changing the company and ask for refund.

    I filed the claim 12/01 at 8:59. The claims appointment was not until 12/04 between 7am - 11am. This is too long to wait. Also, they did not show up until 11:30. Bad enough it is a 4 hour window, but to be late is not acceptable. What if my A/C went out in AZ when it was 120 degrees, 3 days would be unacceptable. My washer could not be repaired and I was offered $300. I bought a new washer last night, which was $749 and that was a food sale price. I bought the replacement of what I currently had, so I should have received more money. Not all washers are the same.

    I put a claim for my clothes washer. Result came back that the repair cost would be more than getting a new washer. The front load washer I have cost is $600 plus. At first they only wanted to give me $299 to get a new one. I called my case manager and she eventually ended only giving me $425 still not even close enough to place my washer. Her reasoning was that’s their cost to replace it. I understand in the contract it says it could be less than retail value but this low is ridiculous. With coming out of pocket 85 for the service call and now having to come out of pocket again to cover the rest of the washer this Warranty in my eyes is not worth it. This company low balls their customers. Also chooses not to replace the appliance saying customers weren’t happy with what they choose. After this transaction is done I will be canceling.

    I was approached by CHW to cover a new home we had purchased. Four months into the policy we had submitted a claim for a microwave. The control board in the microwave was determined to be bad. CHW chose not to cover this because the board is located in the door and doors are not covered. Now it is a matter of a technicality to what is covered. I stated all my appliance have controls in the doors are they not covered as well. I could not get a clear answer. They did offer a $200 settlement in lieu of replacing the appliance.

    Upon trying to cancel the policy I was informed that any and all money CHW had spent during the contract period (3 years $200 so far ) will be subtracted from the refund, as well as a $300 admin fee as well as a cancellation fee. This results in a return of $ 675 return on a $1500 investment 4 months ago. This is contrary to the assurance that “If at any time you're not happy all the money will be prorated and a refund will be returned”.

    Choice is only good on small item claims. I have now had 2 heating system claims and Choice has said that both were not covered. My out of pocket cost for both systems has been in excess of $18,000. The main reason I bought the Choice Warranty was 5 years ago when I bought my house the HVAC systems were old. I knew someday they would fail. After 5 years with Choice they did. They find loopholes not to pay for fixing or replacing. I won’t reup my warranty from Choice when it expires.

    The only complaint I have is the response time. I had no heat at all from approx. 5pm until 11am the next day and the temperature dropped below freezing overnight. I think in a situation like this, it should be considered an emergency and responded to within 4 hrs.

    I called last week or so to check up on their specials as I got something in the mail with it. Then I asked them how long I got to decide should I purchase into another promo deal of $1050 and 6 months free on top that I paid from 2017 to 2020 but wasn't then before given exact time when to decide on it. I realized I don't recall them telling me that I was covered for heater that I called up separate company for and paid out of pocket for replacement of something till they told me they sent me policy but I don't recall that being it was stated there. Today, Dec 4, I talked to up to 4 people around 340 to 4 pm Pacific time and I called last to two Sales Manager as I felt I got the run around with them.

    The one I mainly had BIG time issue with said things that he twisted stories I didn't say then I told him he twisted stories and he like put me on speaker or was distance away as I wanted to confirm everything again to make sure what all was done for me and what I was covered for. They act like they have all the information to tell me but they didn't and that manager was rude to me being sarcastic to me telling me off then I slammed the phone on him. I then had to call back to a Henry and he said we got you recorded that I was the one who twisted and slammed the phone on him.

    I told I did NOT twist things that it was the other guy who was but I admitted I slammed the phone and he sounded like he wanted to argue with me so I slam the phone on him, as well. Wow! I can't believe this company and people go for this. I can't believe they 'con' me into something into their corrupted little world of messy screwed up managers who can't do customer service relation whatsoever. Boy, are these people messed up!!

    The person that sold me this warranty promised me I could pick my own contractor and that their customer support was not outsourced outside the US. Both of which are not true. If I can't trust the people who represent this company how could I ever trust them to uphold anything they say in the warranty? I have canceled.

    This is the most frustrating warranty company you will ever deal with. I have to say the only thing good about it is the cheaper service fee. If you are expecting them to cover your work you will be highly disappointed. I have had it for 3 years and had approximately 5 claims of which they found reasons not to cover. How can you have a heater that is 20 years old that you had serviced every year that decided it couldn’t go anymore that had some rust and the warranty company wouldn’t pay because they don’t cover rust but they cover normal wear and tear. Even the service guy laughed at that one.

    I had a ceiling fan come loose from its bracket and was hanging by the wires. I had to disconnect it from the wires so it wouldn’t burn my house down until the warranty company could arrive. They told me they wouldn’t cover it because it wasn’t installed. I’m soooo done with these people. What a waste of money. I should have never bought the 5 year plan in one lump sum. The funny thing is I read the reviews but I sure don’t know where they come from.

    I had just gotten home from a trip; my refrigerator had an error code on the door and it wasn't cooling. I called Choice Warranty at approximately 4:27 PM on Monday. As promised, Refrigerator Plus Repair Technician, John **, was there on Tuesday morning to repair the fridge. The fridge needed a part associated with the fan that Choice approved for the repair.     I encountered a rude CSR when I called to purchase the plan the 1st time. I asked for lea or John, I believe were their names and was rudely told she was at lunch and anyone could help me. I guess I was asking too many questions and he was irritated so I told him I would check around and he again was rude and ended the call.     I've had Choice Home Warranty since July of this year and have made two claims. The first claim was on a broken part for my furnace. The cost to repair + the service charge ended up being $900, I received $200 from CHW due to their 'policy'. Next, my downdraft oven fails over Thanksgiving. Choice sends a technician that deems it cheaper to replace than repair. So I get a "great news" email from Choice saying they are going to replace my oven for me by providing $299.99 and leave it on me to find the new oven. A replacement downdraft oven is going to run me anywhere from $3,000 to $3,500 and my kitchen cannot support a traditional oven so I am limited to only this type. So after my dispute with CHW, they concede and offer me an additional $50 to support the coverage. Low and behold, I will get 10% of my oven cost covered by my so-called 'warranty'. Definitely a scam.

    4 months ago I had an LG Front Load washing machine in one of my homes break down. CHW decided that it's not worth it to fix the front load washing machine. They told me they will give me money to replace the machine. They offered like $300 approximately. I told them it's not possible to replace the machine for that and they said the amount of $ offered is based on the wholesale prices they pay. I said I am fine/happy if they want to have a new machine delivered but they said they don't do that. I said how can you know what you pay if you don't buy machines anymore... Anyway they agreed to (I think) $400 or maybe $450 as the most they would pay.

    A new front load HE LG brand machine was like $700-900. So only thing I was able to do was buy a reconditioned used machine that came with a 90 day warranty. The "new" machine worked fine for first 4 months. Then had problem. Contacted CHW and they sent repairman who said the main shaft or something like that died. The manager assigned to help me was named Kevin. He was nice and professional but basically told me that they won't pay for a new repair/replacement on the machine because it was only 4 months etc. I am not happy a reconditioned machine with 90-day warranty died after 4 months. We are all inconvenienced when machines break. Bottom line is they are refusing to help me. I had no choice but to buy another machine. This time I got a refurbished one with 6 months warranty.

I went to comparison website for new plans to see what other companies offer and figured maybe good idea to try another company. So... I did not put my phone # in but a moment later I got an email saying CHW is my best option and CHW then called me. I told the guy I don't want to renew or buy a new CHW plan and he hung up. I don't want to go to small claims court but I am feeling like I have no choice. CHW contract does not say they will require someone to buy a new machine. I am hoping someone in management at CHW sees this and reaches out to me to resolve.

    The day before Thanksgiving our furnace decided to quit. Choice contacted a repair service which was scheduled to come out the following Monday. I called the repair people directly and they agreed to come out first thing Friday morning.     Our AC stopped working in our vacation home. We put in a claim to Choice to have it fixed. We paid the $60 service fee, and had to pay another $70 for them to find the leak. After spending that money, our claim was denied. We had to hire another company to actually fix the problem. We spent over $600 all together. I've been very disappointed in this home warranty service so far.

    This is the second claim we've made that has been denied. We had to pay the service fee plus pay someone else to fix the problem. It's not worth paying the monthly payment and $60+ each call for nothing to be covered. We will be looking for another company. I really do not like giving bad reviews. I'm just very disappointed in this service right now. It's right before Christmas. We wasted $135 for nothing, then paid out of pocket to get the problem fixed.

    On 3 August 2017 I purchased CHW multi-year contract #** with full payment up front, in order to get the most favorable conditions. My evaporative cooling system recently began to fail (spontaneously shutting down at irregular intervals), and on or about 7 September 2019 I filed claim #** with CHW. Technicians arrived within a few days and did a very rudimentary check of the system. The lead technician told me "the motor is the wrong size and improperly installed, is over-amping, and the belt is too tight". I paid the "diagnostic fee" and they left.

    The next day I received an email notice from CHW that my claim had been disapproved with no reason given other than that the belt was too tight. I filed an appeal, and soon received an email from someone who purported to be my appeal manager and single point of contact for resolution of my appeal. **. Case anager | Choice Home Warranty. v: (800) 814-2534 ext **. e: **. Hearing nothing further, I began trying to contact that individual with no success. Over several days, phone calls went to voicemail (I left several messages) and emails went unanswered. On 14 September 2019 I called the claims line and eventually was connected to a woman who identified herself as a manager of some sort. We discussed my appeal problem and she assured me that she would mark my appeal as "urgent" and I'd be contacted within 24 hours. As of 18 September I've received no further contact.

    On 18 September I again contacted CHW by phone, opting to discuss an existing claim. I spoke with 3 different representatives and was disconnected each time. I managed to complete call number four without disconnection. “Giovanni” assured me that my claim is being elevated to a claims manager and that I’d be contacted within 24 hours. Sounds good, but that’s exactly what I was told four days ago. Interestingly, the motor in question was installed by a CHW-designated technician in September, 2018. It appears that I'll have to pay for repairs out-of-pocket, as CHW is so far completely unresponsive.

    UPDATE: On 18 September I received a call from Kenney, my appeal case manager (finally!). No excuse offered for the nearly 2-week delay when he was not available to help me to a resolution. Cutting to the chase, now: Kenney contacted the company that had refused to work on my unit, got some bad advice and denied my claim. I subsequently bought a new motor and repaired the unit myself. A bad experience all around. This was the only bad experience I’ve had with CHW over nearly 3 years. Someone needs to speak with Kenney. Arnold **. 12/03/19.

    I disagree with the wording rust vs. corrosion that was on the outside of the water lines. Technician stated "rust" on initial viewing until he stated rust would inhibit water flow. During repair he said there was good water flow which would mean rust was not present on the inside of lines, only cosmetic on the outside due to faucet leaking. I stated I knew I had to purchase a faucet but was adamant that no rust inside, with good water flow meant that my Warranty should pay for the work on the line itself due to normal usage and aging.

    Updated on 12/09/2019: Continue to get the run around on a claim. Dishwasher has been down for over 2 months. Had now two of their repair guys come out. First guy quit on them, because he wasn't getting paid. Second guy just told me he is done as well as they owe him money. They offered me $150 for a $300 repair or an $700 dishwasher. I can't get anyone to call me back. Just people who will give you a runaround and tell you that all of the supervisors are busy. I've made daily calls and have yet to speak with a supervisor. This is the worst home repair company I have ever dealt with and I currently own 4 homes.

    Original review: I had a dishwasher claim... It was easy to get a claim filed and someone to take a look at it. However all of the follow-up with getting it actually repaired fell upon me. Been waiting over 45 days so far and can't get anyone to help me. The repair company acknowledged 30+ days ago that the claim was approved, but they are not returning calls and the warranty company has yet to escalate this so I can get someone else on it or to give me money to replace the unit. My guess is they are struggling to find the parts, but 45+ days without a resolution is not acceptable. I have send email and spoke with several people, but all they are willing to do is continue calling the repair company.

    Reporters and fully described the the issue online of a leaky plumbing trap under the sink since I had someone come out and diagnosed the problem. I wanted to use the warranty I paid. Home Warranty sent one of the companies they subcontract 5 days later. When the plumbing company they sent out checked it out, Home Warranty refused to cover it after the plumber already started fixing it. Plumber said I had to pay them since they already started to do the work. On top of that, Choice Warranty still charged me the $65 fee. I ended up paying $200 out of pocket. Choice Warranty is a scam! Worst part was I recommended them to a family member when they closed on a house. Exact situation happened to them with Choice Warranty. I will be reporting them to BBB and Consumer Affairs.

    I purchased the top-tier policy when we purchased our home, and we recently filed a claim on our heating system. Choice Home Warranty wrongfully denied the claim, and upon appeal, I waited over a week and half to get a call back from a claim manager. No return emails. No returned calls. A week and a half! With no heat in my home! Today I called, and a claim manager finally called me back. I shared with her that the reasons they denied our claim were inaccurate and that I could provide whatever they needed for proof.

    She kept referring to a report the technician sent in, and put me on hold to supposedly call the him to ask questions. I asked her for a copy of the report so it could be reviewed with me and to help me understand why I was being denied. She didn’t. And, even though she was looking at the report, she claimed she couldn’t send it to me - I had to request it from my technician. She basically told me there was nothing she could do, and that my claim was denied.

    I called the technician as soon as she hung up with me, and he said she never called him or anyone at his company! He also said that he can’t send me the report because they have them fill them out through an app portal, and he has no way to retrieve it. He said that I have to get the report from Choice Home Warranty. So, bottomline, I feel they wrongfully denied my claim, ignored me while I went without heat for almost two weeks, never sufficiently provided proof for why they denied my claim, and they lied to me. It has been a HORRIBLE experience and a total waste of money!!! BUYER BEWARE.

    Choice Home Warranty has the reputation for being a great home warranty business, which is why I went with your agency. However your customer service for initial enrollment was not up to par. Your salesman was way too pushy and couldn’t accept no for an answer for all the add ons, and really didn’t make me feel great about the purchase that I did make. I’ll keep the year long purchase that I chose to go with, but I won’t do business with your agency beyond that due to the poor experience I had for my initial enrollment. And I won’t recommend your agency to my friends simply due to that interaction, which is unfortunate because you do actually offer good value for the coverage.

    I have been using their home warranty for 2 years now, I've been with AB May before for a few years and after they hiked their prices I thought I will try Choice home warranty. That was the worst mistake I made, in the last 2 years I have made 6 claims, all of which would've been covered by AB May. Choice denied every single of them except one. Most of them were denied upfront, right next day after the claim was raised, couple of them they set up contractor appointments and they would deny it after I've paid the service fee! It's a wonder how they are still in business, I had enough and going back to someone better, like AB May.

    The 2nd claim I had with them was for a failed septic system that was backed up. We were without a toilet and shower for almost a month. With me telling them the first I called about this that it was the septic system they instead send out a normal plumber who snaked the drain line we had already.. They advertise it takes 24 hrs-3 days for them to process the claim and send someone out but it took 7 days before sending the plumber which we of course had to pay the $60 even tho it didn’t work and the plumber knew this and said we needed the tank pumped which we already knew..

    Then a new claim was opened for the septic system which took them around 2-3 weeks to find someone to send out and all they kept saying the hold up was due to was finding a contractor in Our area. They offered the choice of us paying for all of it in them reimbursing us but we didn’t have the money and is why we had a warranty. So we waited some more then finally I called him and asked him why we couldn’t use someone in the area to do it and they said oh you can and then we can our area. They offered the choice of us paying for all of it and them reimbursing us but we didn’t have the money and that’s why we had a warranty. So we waited some more then finally I called him and asked him why we couldn’t use someone in the area to do it and they said, "Oh you can" and then they said that They would pay them and then they asked for the names and numbers of some septic tank workers in our area.

    After providing that I asked him why couldn’t they done the same thing I did by googling people in the area that could work on a septic tank and they had no answer the they would pay them and then they asked for the names and numbers of some septic tank workers in our area. But yet no one ever googled it and looked it up and got back with me so by the third week that’s when I gave them the info.

    Finally it was fixed after having to pay another $60 but at least it was fixed unlike the last time we had to pay the $60. But because the workers had to come back out because they arrived here light that first day of fixing that septic tank we then had to pay another $60 the next time they sent someone else out to finish it. So long story short after all this was fixed and several months later I found another Home Warranty Place I wanted to go with and upon calling to cancel it with Choice Home Warranty I was transferred to the resolutions department and they told me that they give me a couple Fremont and then upon the end of that when I called to cancel it they said that if I would stay with them they would send me $100 check for my troubles on the last claim.

    After a month of waiting for the check I called and Customer Service told me that they did have a record of it but it just hasn’t been sent out yet. So about two weeks later I called back and spoke to the resolutions department the department that issue the check and they said that the person that offered it to me had it in the records but that the manager vetoed it and said that the claim for the septic tank had reached its limit therefore they couldn’t send me out the hundred dollar check. But nobody told me if there’s two weeks prior to that when I called customer service and they told me that it was more than likely on its way.

    So after finding that out and speak into the resolutions Dept the guy named Odane, was offering me two more free months to stay which would come to a little bit over $100. I told him, "No". I did not want two free months. I wanted to check that equals $100 and how could they offer me two free months if I could offer me the check. So I told him I wanted to cancel and he kept trying to talk about the two free months and give me the runaround about the check and the whole time I was trying to talk to him about my frustration he was trying to over talk me and then I kept saying was I want to cancel. I wanted to cancel and he kept talking for five more minutes till finally after I got ugly he said he canceled it.

    However it may or may not be really cancelled. I say that 'cause HOME CHOICE SAYS ONE THING AND DOES ANOTHER.. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND I HAD GEEN WITH THEM FOR 2yrs and ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT. You pretty much always have to wait at least ten minutes on hold with each transfer. Plus they don’t really cover as much as you think and you can find a company like I did called TOTAL HOME PROTECTION that's almost half of what choice home charges. And total home provides more coverage for way less and their customer service is great.

    Updated on 11/28/2019: Choice home warranty, is a big rip off. They invoke their BS right to not cover a water heater due to a replacement part not made anymore. So, they offer me $200 to cover the supposed cost to replace the part, which is not made anymore. Instead of replacing my water heater, which cost me $2,885. They take your money each month for "coverage" but when it comes to replacement of a broken item, they balk. Professional run around on their side. The worst kind of crooks.

    Original review: I called Choice Home Warranty on a Friday morning re my hot water heater, which had stopped working. It took them 5 days to get a plumber to my house. After a review of the issue, he said the internal gas line had two holes in it and he would call the local distributors to get the part. We were told the part was no longer made and then called the manuf. who also said there was no part number and this water heater was not made anymore. 15 calls later, and a "professional runaround" I am still without a new hot water heater. This company is totally useless and works on the business model of avoid and BS the customer till they just give up. I will be installing the unit on my own and taking them to small claims court. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    This is the third time that I have requested service and upon reviewing the vendor's reviews from other homeowners. In my opinion it is CHW responsibility to verify and ensure any vendor you use should be no less than 3.5 star rating and at minimum be connected with the Better Business Bureau and have a website. This latest claim CHW referred me to a company with a 1.8 rating and not one homeowner was satisfied with the services. I refuse to deal with any vendors with sub-par standards.

    I will do my due diligence on anyone you refer to me as long as I am with CHW. The vendor North Star Electric that fixed the issue was PHENOMENAL ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. This vendor had a website and overall 5.0 of all the homeowners that used the service. You need professionals like this on your team. Bottom line, CHW needs to do a better job with obtaining quality vendors. Customer service reps need to be more professional and emphatic to the current need of the customer.

    Beware of this company!!! If I could give them zero stars I would!! I was going back and forth between Choice and Select. I chose Choice but then found out Choice was being sued by the Arizona State's Attorney and decided to cancel the NEXT day. It has been 36 days since I canceled and they have not refunded me. I've called at least 6 times and I get a different story each time. I finally decided to have my Credit Card dispute the charges. Good luck should you choose Choice. I find them to be beyond shady.

    Before turning on our central heat we like to have the unit cleaned and checked. We have that service with another company since Choice does not offer that and we were without heat for almost 3 weeks of cold weather in San Antonio. When the company finally came to check the blower was not working and needed to be installed. I called Choice that same day, they in turn contacted a company that same day who called me that same day and came out not the next day but the next, confirmed that the blower needed to be replaced.     ConsumerAffairs. I speak from personal experience with Choice Home Warranty. Long stoty short, Choice had asked the technician they sent to check the A/C to fix it. He informed them he was 2 weeks behind and it would need to wait or they could call another company to get to it sooner. The technician informed me of this before he left. When I called Choice to see who they would be sending, the decision had been changed to a denial of repair. I then called the technician who was angry and ended up telling me that the agreement with Choice Home Warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on!

    CHOICE HOME WARRANTY IS A HUGE RIP OFF!! STAY AWAY FROM CHOICE HOME WARRANTY. I have been saying this to as many people as I can personally and with every opportunity I get on Social Media!!. And I've been doing it for over 6 years. And it will continue so hopefully I can prevent Choice Home Warranty from ripping of others!!! I'm sure you can deduce from my post that I immediately cancelled my agreement with Choice after the A/C fiasco.

    I was displeased with your warranty. The service man was fine, my complaint was that my dishwasher didn't work properly and that the racks were broken and rusted, he immediately informed me that the racks were not covered, when I bought this policy I never saw anything about what you don't cover, all the add said was that dishwashers were covered, when I received my plan I didn't bother to look through it because I had no doubts about the coverage, now he can repair the motor by replacing it but what good is it with rusty places where the racks broke off. I haven't used it for some time now because it wasn't working properly and the rust in it could be a health factor, My husband called and asked about buy off instead of fixing it, you denied it, so basically you're fixing something that I probably will never use because of the rusty racks, so my opinion of your warranty is very low and you can be assured that I will let people know that your ads are untrue.

    I contacted Choice Home Warranty over the phone to submit a claim on my rental properties clothes dryer on 11/11/2019. The technician did not come out to the property until Friday, November 15th. I paid him over the phone on November 14th $60 for the service. My tenants stated that he was not very personable with them, that he acted as though he was in a rush to leave and it was an imposition for him to be there. He notified them that he needed to order parts and he would be back the next week, but he did not give me a call to inform me of the status.

    I called him on Monday, the 18th of November, to ask him when he would be back with the parts and asked why he did not notify me. He asked if I wanted him to call me with updates and I said yes because I am the owner and I need to be informed. He said he should have the parts by Wednesday, so I told him that I would like to be updated and he would need to call my resident to let them know when he could come back to work on it. My resident stated that he came back on Friday, November 22nd, and after taking the dryer apart he told them that it was dead and I needed to buy a new one and that he would call me when he left. I never received a call and the claim status was never updated online. I called him and left a voicemail but never received anything back. I submitted a response on the online portal inquiring about status, mentioning my experience.

    On the 23rd, I received an update from the online admin stating they would get in contact with the technician. On the 25th, today, I receive a notification that my claim has been reassigned (they actually spelled it "resassigned"). I then submitted a new question asking if I would have to pay the $60 over again, mentioning again that I had to pay my tenants $40 during this process for coin laundry. I also stated that I am a Property Manager full time for a very well known company and I am aware of how these processes are supposed to go. I asked for a phone call.

    I was unable to take the call because I was at work but I called back immediately. I spoke to a man who was not very helpful. He stated that it has been reassigned and we would have to go through the whole process with the new tech again but I would not have to pay again. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor twice before he finally transferred me to a woman named Jade. Jade told me that she could not give me the corporate phone number but she could give me their email. I let her know that I wanted all forms of contact for corporate and she said I could only have their email and address.

    The email she gave me was their standard email, info@choicehomewarranty.com NOT their corporate email. The address given is **. She once again said that the whole process would start over with a new technician. I asked her why they would dispatch a new technician if the previous tech was not able to fix it. I also mentioned the lack of communication and how this is acceptable in their business? The lady was very short and rude. She did not provide me with accurate information.

    I will be getting out of my contract with Choice Home Warranty due to this whole situation. I could have already bought a new dryer for my residents for the amount of money I have spent on their technician and coin laundry for my tenants. This company is very unprofessional with their services and their services take too long, I have wasted money on them for the past two years. I will be leaving reviews regarding their company all over to inform others interested in them to stay away. I will also inform my corporate office at my well known Property Management company to not contract with their company, and we are all over the U.S.

You pay local pro $90 if you pick your self and you pay $60 if you have warranty with this company. With all the time lost talking back and forth and $500 a year, It doesn't make sense to take this warranty with this fraud company. The technician was supposed to at the property between 5pm and 8pm and I got this from Choice warranty and the didn't show up.

    "It has been determined that the cause of failure of the refrigerator is an internal failure of the compressor which was caused by excess overheating from a lack of effective maintenance. The condenser coils are fully impacted with debris. Dirty or restricted coils cause the system to not properly cool the compressor or refrigerant and thus damage the internal windings and valves. Maintenance not being effective has caused overheating of the compressor which has resulted in the compressor failure." I called the technician about the his diagnosis and told he never told choice it was due to maintenance issue. Isn't it the Fraud??? I would avoid taking warranty from this company.

    I have a home warranty with Choice Home Warranty. On Nov. 19, 2019 I informed Choice that my furnace stopped working. On Wednesday Nov. 20, 2019, Choice told me they could find no heating repair company that would work with them in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area. They dispatched a technician on Nov. 21, 2019 to diagnosis the issue. A diagnosis was made and Choice contacted with the information by the technician they hired. As of 9:00 pm Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 my furnace is still not repaired. Repeated conversations with Choice have been met with no result or satisfaction. I pay my premium on time to Choice and have met all my contractual obligations. They have not fulfilled their contractual obligations to me.

    I am being denied the comfort and joy of my house due to the cold temps and their failure to honor their obligations. "Christian" Choice Warranty Resolution Manager told me in a phone conversation on Friday, they will examine the issue and make a decision next week on my furnace. In the meanwhile, we suffer with temps in the 30's. Choice has told me untruths since the first day. Choice has blamed the technician, the technician blames Choice and I freeze in the middle. Choice may be a good option if you live in New York City or L.A. or downtown Chicago, but if you live in the Pittsburgh, PA area, they seem to have no vendors to work with.

    Initially, it all seemed great, but then they failed to actually resolve the issue at hand. After having the warranty for almost a year and not having need of it, my freezer failed so I filed a claim. A technician came out which I had to pay the $65 fee. He didn't have the part so I had to wait a couple of weeks for his return. He replace a part hoping it would fix the problem. I thought it had at first because the noise was gone and the freezer started cooling again. However, a couple of weeks later I went out to realize that it didn't actually freeze (wouldn't drop below 40 degrees). I called the technician. They said I would have to go through Choice Warranty again. I called them back. They said my account had now expired and they refused to help me in any way even though the claim had been filed before the expiration and had not been resolved. Do not waste your money dealing with Choice Warranty!!!

    I am extremely dissatisfied with the purchase of your services. I placed a claim when my furnace stopped working. When signing up for your plan all that is said is the appliance needs to be in good working order. I purchased this house less than 1 year ago and the furnace worked until a few days ago. Now you are denying the claim because of a previous repair... I have never had it repaired before. How am I to know how the previous owner handled it or what you would consider a bad repair. The “previous repair” you denied the claim for is not the reason it doesn’t work as it was working both last winter and the beginning of this winter.

    You should not advertise that it only needs to be in good working order to be covered, instead you should complete your own inspection of each device and determine if it would be covered. I feel that the money I spent on this plan was wasted. If not for the furnaces I would not have purchased a plan at all. I have called around to multiple other home warranties and they provided a copy of their contract, my furnace would have been covered under their policies.

I would have given the top rating if the determination of technician skills required would have been attempted before sending the wrong tech, and thus costing me an additional $60 fee. Suggestion: if there is a heating failure, ask - are breakers are being tripped or other symptoms present? Then, if so, send the tech that can address electrical issues, too.     My experience with Choice Home Warranty was a complete disaster. They absolutely do not care about their clients' welfare and only for the gains and profit. My recent experience is a traumatizing one as we just newly welcomed our baby to the house and the heating stopped working properly. Choice warranty sent out a first technician by the name of Yi ** from One Stop Heating & Air who was absolutely incompetent and could not tell us anything about what was happening and still demanded we paid $45 for coming out for nothing and this kind of practice is deemed acceptable by Choice Warranty.

    We complained bitterly and informed Choice Warranty that this was an emergency as we have a few days old baby at the house. After much complain they sent out a second technician by the name of Dustin who was a better technician and said the problem was the defrost pump as it's an older unit and he would have to send the work order to Choice warranty but clearly told us that they usually deny heating and cooling jobs and would rather focus on cheapest work.

    He submitted the work order and we were assigned to the worst case manager ever in history who denied our request regardless of how serious this was and lied that the problem is from a paint even when the technician stated otherwise and was just not a professional in handling our case and it's a shame a company has such people working with them. THIS IS A SCAM HOME WARRANTY

    I have been a CHW customer for a couple of years. The first year they were great in helping me with the two repairs I needed, but in the last year, after renewing my contract, I feel like I have to fight with them every time I report a claim. The most recent claim involved my furnace, which had been condemned when a person came to my house to perform a tuneup and discovered a hole had burnt through the heat exchanger. This was a few days before the first huge snowstorm of the season in Michigan.

    The technician that Choice sent out to check on my furnace was not only unprofessional, but made sure I knew that he wouldn't be able to do anything to fix the furnace for another week and a half. I couldn't wait that long with the impending freezing weather so I told CHW I was going to find my own technician to perform the replacement. A few days later, I was able to get the technician out to my house and had the installation of the new furnace done a couple days after that. Initially CHW turned down my claim due to their policy on water damage and damage from erosion and corrosion. They denied the claim without even alerting me. When I sent them the findings of my technician, that clearly stated there was no water damage and this was not due to erosion or corrosion, Choice Home Warranty changed their reason for denying the claim to denying it because I didn't get approval from them. This is completely false.

    I spoke numerous times to the same manager at the company who agreed to keep the claim open until they heard from my technician. Despite the fact that my technician called them and furnished the necessary information in support of coverage for this claim, they closed the claim without telling me and denied it. I even reviewed the policy with the technician to make sure that the furnace issue was not excluded in my policy. Normal wear and tear was not excluded. Choice Home Warranty is a scam and I wouldn't be surprised if many more attorneys general follow Arizona's lead in suing them for fraudulent practices. I will not be renewing my contract with them and will not be happy until they do the right thing and reimburse me for my furnace repair.

    I have been denied warranty coverage on multiple big items in the house to include a refrigerator, water heater and A/C repairs. Be sure to read the excluded items as they find a way out of covering those items. If you have a little dust on the vents of your fridge, they will say you didn't clean and maintain the fridge, even if that is not the reason for it not working. If your water heater goes out they will not replace the entire water heater because the tank itself, which holds the water, is excluded from the warranty...even though the tank will always need to be replaced. They pull the same crap with the A/C, no matter what the issue, they blame it on not doing regular maintenance and upkeep of the unit, even if you have a service contract with a company that looks at it twice a years. They send out technicians that look for reasons to to deny service...and most of their technicians that they send are unprofessional and not part of a well or trusted company.

    We have coverage on 4 air conditioners - we pay extra to cover all 4. When our first air conditioner went out, after trying to fix it a few times, they paid for that one. After 3 years, the compressor went out in one other air conditioner and they said that the compressor should have lasted for 11-15 years. It quit at 10 years, so they wouldn't cover the $1700.oo it cost to fix it. They gave me $200.00. When my refrigerator went out, they gave me $500.00 to cover a $2600.00 refrigerator. I have special insurance on my pool and they wouldn't cover the filter or the manifold. They wouldn't cover our hot water heater because it was the tank that started leaking. I am done with them. I still have a year to go on our policy and they will not give me any money back. They are good until you need to use them. DON'T USE THEM!!

    2 claims, 2 appeals, zero service. PLEASE choose another company for your home warranty needs. We had two claims denied by this company -- the first was for a leaking water pipe in our garage and the reason Choice denied it was because the leak was caused by the pipe 'migrating' over to a screw in the drywall. The second claim was for the heat pump on our HVAC system; Choice denied this because, after reviewing the pictures their technician provided, it was determined there was a refrigerant leak that was due to corrosion and or rust, and corrosion and rust was not covered. (Not covered, on an item situated on the outside, exposed to the elements. Okay.) This determination was made by Choice, NOT by the technician who performed the inspection -- the technician reported that the leak was caused by everyday wear of the unit.     I have been a customer of Choice Home Warranty for at least three years. In this period of time, I may have called your company to fix four or five minor issues in my home. They have burned me on a bad washing machine connection valve, a burst pipe in the wall (covered the leak, but not any other part of the job to get to it, so I was still out over $400 on that), a water heater (paid NOTHING), and I finally replaced my 22-year-old HVAC without even bothering with them because the hassle and BS are just not worth it - $7,0000 out of pocket.

    EVERY contractor who has come out from one of their claims has reiterated that they are terrible, and not only do they screw the customer, but they screw the contractors too - it is an inherently dishonest business model...a fraudulent company in my estimation. Save the premium and fix your own stuff - poor value and dishonest company.

    My warranty states "A home warranty provides repair or replacement of all covered systems and appliances...." and "best course of action - repair, replacement...." The case manager (assigned after a ridiculously low offer, as the unit is a built-in high end GE Profile microwave- you offered $165, of course less the $65 service fee for a net out of $104 for a $400+ appliance). When "discussing" the matter with the case manager, she stated they could not get parts-- I asked to simply replace the unit as it is available. She firmly stated "We do NOT replace defective equipment". This is direct conflict with our warranty and the language contained therein.

    Additionally, the email received on 11/15/19 stated "Great News! We have received the diagnosis on your claim. It is more cost effective to replace your Microwave than to repair it."; yet the case manager stated that you do NOT replace defective equipment. This unit should have been replaced (installed) but that was never even offered; indeed, it was stated that "we don't do that"....

    I regret the purchase of contract with this company. I was told at the time of purchase with this company that I could cancel and get full refund if not satisfied. After have inept but clearly well meaning plumbers come only to break my plumbing system in another way costing hundreds of dollars in water bills I was then scheduled with a company and then cancelled by Choice warranty after half day waiting for this company to rectify the situation. I only heard back again when I called and at that time when I went to cancel was told that I'd receive less than half of my invested money if I cancelled.     First of all, they claim to replace your appliances they cover. Negative, they have you pay $60 after waiting days for a tech to diagnose the problem, then as I found out with my washer that needed to be replaced, they only covered $350 of a $1000 washer. By the way I had to wait nearly a month for the check after paying in full for a new washer out of pocket. There is no way to leave reviews on Google or Facebook for this company either. If you click on Facebook those reviews are actually part of their website and no way to leave a review. So misleading it should be criminal.

    Now I am waiting three days for a tech for my furnace. Thankfully, I managed to get it going at least for heat for my 13 month old. Unfortunately I have already paid over $1000 up front for 3 1/2 years of warranty so I am stuck, but if your reading this do not sign up. You're better off with gambling on another company. There is a reason there is a "Choice Home Warranty is a scam" Facebook group.

    The company that came in did a pretty quick and good job of figuring out the drain. The only thing that stopped him from being a great service was it was rusted so I had to cut it out and apparently the actual replacement of the drain wasn't under the warranty which I don't see why it wouldn't have been it and it should have been. So now I have no drain stopper and he said it'd be about $300 to get what he cut out fixed, when that's what the warranty was for and it should have been covered.

    You assigned ANNIS HVAC to come look at my microwave, which I thought was weird, but the technician was very good. He assessed that the Microwave part that broke was expensive and it would be better to replace the unit entirely. The one thing is that he wanted cash as his payment. We managed to scrape it up between my husband and myself, but honestly, who carries cash anymore. I received an email offering $179 to settle the claim. I was disappointed that the policy wouldn't replace with a matching Elite, but I have to take responsibility because I didn't read all the fine print. It actually never occurred to me to ask.     I had a dryer stop working. I filed a claim on 11/3. As of 11/19 still not working. The company they sent out never finished the work and doesn't have a working phone number. Yet, Choice Home Warranty won't do anything to correct the problem. They now want to send out a new tech to start the process over again. They won't give me a buyout on my dryer. They make customers with 6 people in the house spend $40 a week at a laundromat, pay them their fee each month, pay the service tech their service fee for the call and never get the parts or appliance fixed. Then when you're over two weeks into it, they won't do what's right. They tell you they need to send someone new out. This is nuts. Stay away from this company. They won't do what's right for the customers. They want to save a few bucks.

    I was with Choice Home Warranty for maybe five years and I had several service calls over a period of time and the repairs were made. When my furnace went out in the month of January 2 yrs. ago, they refused to repair it claiming it was too old. The policy says as long as the units are in working condition they are covered. I had to purchase a unit on my own without any assistance from them.

    A year later my garage door opener was in need of repair. I called and made a claim. A contractor came out for the assessment. The claim was accepted for repairs. The contractor informed me he had to order the part. There were several telephone conversations and appointments made, the contractor never returned to make the repairs. Customer Service was no help, I was informed that I had to wait for the contractor to show up, after waiting a month with no results. I canceled my account. I would not recommend the company to my family or friends.

    Called in my claim and was given a claim number which I have erased and it was a very smooth process from your agent and got a follow up call from Lightfoot a/c and was scheduled a time for him to come and next morning he called and said he had an opening for that day. Showed up in 30 minutes and heater unit diagnosed in 15-20 minutes and told me my blower motor was bad and replaced it. It worked ok for several hours then started blowing cool air. I called the technician the next morning and he was there about an hour and checked system. Had had found a bad circuit board and replaced it and heater works fine now.

    A great a/c company and very honest technician who was very knowledgeable. I was told by the a/c guy that comes twice a year or more that I needed a heat exchanger replace wich he said would be $2800.00 to replace and lightfoot's tech said the exchanger was ok and that it would be some other issue with the unit and he was right on the money and saved me that $2800. I had forgot I had this warranty until the first guy told me how much to replace the heat exchanger would be and my brain woke up and remembered the warranty, what I learned from this is the other a/c company did not know what there doing or they are padding their repairs with expensive repairs that really aren’t the issue. I will be using lightfoot not my bi annual checks on heater and cooling.

    While all employees we have dealt with are nice, no one can get our heating system fixed. We called in on November 4th because we had no heat. Choice sent a repairman out who could not fix our unit after 2 visits and told choice he did not want to come back. We had to wait for Choice to get a second repairman who could not fix the system. He wanted to replace the heater motor and choice said no. He was told to clean the motor first. My husband stood there as repairman was cleaning the motor and not one bit of dirt was in it.

    We just received an email telling us choice was not going to do anything for us because the motor was dirty and burnt out the motor. This is a straight out lie. We are beyond frustrated. No one cares we are without heat. We are already into this for $105.00 The people Choice choose are one man companies. They have no staff. We have to wait one to two days for someone to return. All Choice keeps doing is telling us, "Sorry for your inconvenience." We have done the escalation process and still no heat. FOURTEEN DAYS WITHOUT HEAT.

They sent a guy that looked like he was on meth to repair my AC, he wanted me to pay him first and of course he didn’t come back so they sent another guy that submitted a request for repair, again they said it wasn’t covered.     I have had a contract for 18 months and had one claim (A/C) doing that time. Repair was performed promptly and to my satisfaction. I have now decided that I want to self insure and make my own decisions on when to replace the A/C and other appliances so I canceled my warranty expecting a pro-rated refund of one half my original 36 month policy. I was told by the sales rep in writing that I could cancel at any time and they would pro-rate back for the time I didn't use. When I canceled I found out my refund would be the pro-rated amount less the cost of my one repair plus $50. I believe this to be unfair and as a result cannot recommend this company.

    This company is a joke. I honestly don't know where to start. Signed up with them 3 plus years ago. The one time I attempted to use the program I was given the run around. I did my yearly maintenance. Was told it was dangerous to use and needed to be upgraded. When I called I was placed on hold for 20-40 minutes, after that when you finally speak with someone they are extremely rude. I explained the issues I was having and they basically talk over you to get you off the phone. They finally got me set up for service I was told that they would be coming the following day and I would be contacted. I was NEVER contacted and they NEVER showed up. We called to see why they didn't show up and it was because no one set up the appointment. Whoever I was on the phone with lied and never set it up. 3 Days later someone finally came and was the house for less then 5 mins.

    Looked at it and said he would call them and they will be calling me back. Another few days passed and no call no email nothing. After that my husband was extremely frustrated and called to see what was going on. Again he was placed on hold for over 40 Mins. Whenever we got someone on the phone it was the wrong department and again placed on hold. When we finally got someone on the phone she was so rude. Said the claim was denied because the tech saw rust. We then asked to speak to a manager. She Refused to get a manager on phone and threatened to hang up. We then hung up and called back, got a person who was willing to help, and they passed us along to the manager. He was even worse, he wouldn't give a last name, said he didn't have an email and also said he doesn't have a direct line or extension. What manager of any company doesn't have a direct line or email come on.

    He said there is nothing he could do. We were extremely disappointed with the whole thing, being a customer for over 3 years paying every month and this is the way you are treated when you finally make a claim. We followed up and they said the cost of the replacement would be $6000 and that they would give us $200 to cover the labor. That doesn't cover anything. They sale you on the fact that this will save you money for repairs. But when you finally use them they make you jump through hoops, and find basic everyday things that will of course happen to an appliance to deny a claim. I will be filing a complaint with my attorney general.

    This company is currently in a law suit with the state of Arizona for doing this to other people. They have also been sued numerous times from various states. They are a scam. I encourage people to do a quick google search or even a youtube search and you will see the million complaints as well as a great video of the slimy Owners (Victor Mandalawi & Victor Hakim), running from a news crew when they went to their main office looking for answers from all the complaints. Terrible, terrible company.

    I have paid premiums monthly since 2015 for coverage. This summer on July 6, 2019, I made my first claim for my refrigerator. It was freezing vegetables. Choice sent a Sears repairman SIX TIMES. After the rep running back and forth to talk with someone, I was told that I had to have the ice maker fixed before they would consider any further actions. So I’ve now been without refrigeration OVER FOUR MONTHS. This review needs to remain on this site. We’ll see if Choice has ANY integrity at all!

    Asked Al about various coverages to various systems, and AC was especially one that we wanted to make certain of limitations, but he never mentioned that the company didn't cover gas AC units. In trying to get him on the phone again, proved useless and impossible, though he said he is easy to get on the phone, and gave his extension. We even left a message on his extension and he never returned call. Company is no different than a used car lot. We will be cancelling, and suggest to read the full warranty coverage contract before you join.

    Below is the person they sent to my home after Choice couldn't get anyone in my area to respond to their customer repair search. JSO: has identified (Robert **, alias Boston **) after the 50-year-old Jacksonville man had to crawl out of a 2008 Mercedes ML350 SUV after he crashed into a two-story home. JSO said the man was intoxicated when he crashed his SUV. The incident happened 11/01/2019, early Friday morning at 1261 Rensselaer Ave in Avondale. JSO was already on the scene by the time he managed to get out of the vehicle, a police report said. ** had a "strong odor" of alcohol when questioned, JSO said. When asked about the crash, ** told police that he had been cut off, forcing him to make a hard left. That's when he crashed into the house, he said. As ** was being searched, JSO said they found a small bag of ** in his left-front shirt pocket.

    This person acted very strange when he arrived at my home, which led me to tell him to leave. He then stated he wanted the $60.00 deductible. I asked him several times if he could handle the needed electrical repair to which he would not respond. He then got on the phone to Choice, telling them I wouldn't pay him & handed me the phone. The Choice representative told me I had to pay him my deductible. When he arrived I explained to the rep what was going on. They did not care what I had to say. While I was trying to vent my feelings to the rep he started talking loudly over me at which time I had had enough of the ** & told him to leave, which he did not, so I hurried him out the door. He was yelling into his phone to the rep that I was acousting him as I shut the door behind him. He then said he was calling the police to which I replied 'fine'.

    The police arrived & told me the repairman wanted to place assault charges against me. I explained the entire confrontation to the police who told me I had every right to make him leave my home & that he was acting like a nut outside. They then all departed. I called Choice & asked them what the hell was going on & how could they send such a person to some ones home & provided them with all the above in writing & verbally. The rep offered no response & very indignant.

    I checked every available reference to service personnel my area & there was no listings whatsoever to this so called repairman! I cancelled my account with Choice immediately! The very next day they charged my bank with the current month's installment. I told my bank of the fiasco & they immediately reversed the charge. You can do much better than this company!

    I recently file a claim regarding my HVAC system. It appears the Zone Relay switch went bad. When I called in and spoke with a representative because I thought the problem was the clicking zone relay, she could not interpret the verbiage regarding the exclusion using the word "add-on". The service technician called CHW for repair authorization, my claim was denied because my home was built with zoned HVAC. "Please refer to your terms and conditions section D number 5 “Excluded”; CHW is not responsible for add-ons for zoned systems." The claim representative contended that it was an add-on feature that was not required for the furnace to function, yet my furnace was not working.

    I was not given an HVAC option when the house was being constructed so how is it an add-on? As I expressed to the claims agent, I would have never purchased a warranty that did not cover items in my house, and I was not presented the exclusions for review until I paid for the warranty. The best offer I received from CHW was one month free warranty coverage at the conclusion of my term. I'm glad I requested my usual HVAC person to do the work, because he worked with me on the repair cost. Please request to review the exclusions before purchasing a warranty from CHW or any company. Make certain you have total understanding of any exclusions so you are not literally left out in the cold by the warranty company like I was!

    Don't be fooled into signing up for coverage. We had only one claim during our coverage for replacement of a hot water heater. Of course they denied it because they do not cover problems with any type of tank!! Well how would they ever cover a hot water heater? There are clauses in their contract that exclude them from covering any type of problem. You will never get coverage for any appliance or equipment! If there is any rust they won't cover it; if you can't prove that you did all types of maintenance, they won't cover it,; If it involves a tan or a fan or a ???? etc they won't cover it!! You better read the fine print BEFORE you sign up and pay! Lots of consumer complaints. Technicians don't like them. They say that they rarely cover any claim!

    I called about a plumbing issue, l had to wait 5 days before anyone would come out to the property to fix it. While l was making my claim, I told the claims professional that l have 2 problems with the same system. The claims person told me that fine it will cost me 1 co pay. Skip to five days later the plumbers show up 2 hours after my schedule appointment, and l was charged 2 co pays. I called Choice Warranty to find out why l was charged 2 co pays. Both times l was placed on a long hold. When l asked to speak to a supervisor. I was again put on a long hold. When someone finally came back on the line, I was told, "All of our supervisors are busy, but someone will be call you in the next 30 minutes."

    No one call so l called back to find out what happened to the phone call from the supervisor. I was told, "The supervisor will listen to the call, then call you back." Here it is the next day and l still have not received my call back. I'm disappointed in the way l was lied to about the co pays. Their customer service is horrible, it seems they don't value the customer. I've been a customer with Choice Warranty for 3 years. And every year the service get worse than the year before. When this contract is done l will be taking my services elsewhere. I do not recommend that anyone get a home warranty with them. I wish there was a way l could get a refund from the remainder of my contract.
