    Choice couldn't find a reasonable service response for our pool problem, so you offered us the option of finding our own service provider. We took this offer. When the service provider presented Choice with the invoice for services you tried to negotiate the price down. Since you couldn't provide the services I didn't appreciate you trying to hassle with the provider we PRODUCED for lesser cost. This was very unprofessional and almost cost me not getting service from a supplier we TRUST. Maybe prices on GOOGLE would be cheaper but I don't think Google installs. If you give me the option of picking my supplier, Don't pick at my supplier.

    Upon been convince to purchase Home Choice Warranty with their sales & marketing team, after the policy when into effect with the promise to provide service repairs or replacement in the the event of breakdown. I filed my 1st claim when my A/C unit broke down, upon the arrival of the technician which only took 2 minutes to diagnose that the 9yr old unit was unoperational and determined that the unit needed to be replaced. The technician submitted his report and home choice warranty denied the claim under their provision of unknown or known existing conditions. The term unknown is their umbrella for denial of any claim. The unknown is unknown when your unit will breakdown in the future and of course, since we all do not have a crystal ball to know when it will breakdown. To make the story short, the claim was denied and no coverage was provided at all.

    But upon hiring a different HVAC company for second opinion to diagnose, the technician determine that the unit was operational and in working condition but only low on Freon and was fix by soldering the leak at the connection at the evaporator coil and recharge with freon R-427A at $139. I contacted Home choice warranty to appeal their claim of denial and address the fact that the previous technician had misdiagnosed and exaggerated the unit failure to try to generate a ticket to completely replace the unit. But HCW basically stipulated that any future claims would not be cover, since I did not address to them that the unit was being diagnose by another company and that they were not going to refund me any monies for the repairs and would not cover future repair or replacement for the unit.

    Well I did not only save the idiots a complete replacement cost from their fraudulent technician, but they were completely denying any claims. In Louisiana you can't stay a single day without A/C with the humidity and was not going to wait for their fraudulent decisions after 72 hrs so that's the reason I hire a second opinion technician; who not only resolve the mechanical trouble but expose the fraud within this company to denied a claim for repairs under the umbrella of discretion under the term "unknown" conditions.

    So DO NOT FALL FOR THE SALES PITCH THAT EVERYTHING YOU CURRENTLY HAVE IS COVER. They will tell you that that was an existing condition prior to purchasing the warranty or that you knew it was going to breakdown within 3-4 months down the line and will not cover you. But the misleading sales representative will promise the sky of coverage at any time during the coverage period which IS A COMPLETE FLAT MISLEADING LIE.

    I don’t understand for the life of me why you all deny all claims I submit. It’s a disgrace that the person working at Mister Plumber had to fight to get my work order completed. Is it what you all are paid for to collect people’s money monthly and deny claims. My garbage disposal was never changed and yes we have an issue with a backup that’s ongoing the city can’t seem to fix it so we pay you all monthly so why can’t you all fix it I don’t care if it’s once twice or three times a year!     I was not notified when I did my contract that I needed to provide information regarding my previous contract to have the contract start immediately. Air conditioning went out 3 days later and Arizona temp of 109 required immediate repair. First denied coverage because not covered for 30 days. Then 24 to 48 hours later we could get a pre-approval to fix. Not sufficient response. We fixed it for around $200 and were denied coverage because it was not pre-approved. Great price for lousy coverage and no out of the box approval. I would not recommend this to anyone.

    Been unable to talk with anyone on the phone is leading to great dissatisfaction. Everything has to be done online, by the consumer even scheduling the vendor because Choice warranty could not locate a vendor timely to correct the repair. After waiting for choice to tell me they could not locate a vendor, I found a vendor, had the vendor come out and then was told basically from the phone call to the vendor that due to the cost of it being $329 for installation that it was not covered - the choice representative asked for the cost to be lowered which the vendor said they couldn’t and the choice representative hung up. I then received an email stating that it was considered normal wear and tear and that it would not be covered.

    This policy is a rip-off! My air conditioner failed, and rather than having it replaced, CHW only paid $1,500.00. In the fine print of the contract (under Limitations of Liability), it reads, "You agree that, in no event, will our liability exceed $1500 per contract item for access, diagnosis and repair or replacement." The advertising for this service implies that big-ticket items will be replaced. The reason I purchased the policy was to cover big-ticket items like the air conditioner.     I contacted the service department on 6-5-2020, that my air conditioner was not working and the temperature was going to be over the 100’s. They sent out a technician on 6-6 from Rescue Home Improvement - HVAC. The technician came to the same conclusion that Green Valley Cooling and Heating that my condenser was bad. On 6-6-2020 I received two emails from Choice Warranty to tell me one that my claim was approved for replacement and another that stated my claim was approved for repair. All this communication was thru email.

    On 6-6-2020 and 6-7-2020. I was asked to confirm I was responsible for $400 for labor and extras. I confirmed and agreed that same day. On 6-8-2020 I asked when and requested a manager call me personally no response. I had a doctors appointment on 6-9-2020 to take care of a medical issue and discuss my lack of air conditioning with my doctor. On 6-10 I waited over 30 min on hold to talk to Victer who told me the part had been ordered. .Later in the day the technician called me and told me the replacement part ordered had been the wrong part that doesn’t exist. By that time the service dept was closed. I emailed them again.

    Today I waited til 10:28 am to hear a response from service. I finally called them and waited for 45 minutes to talk with Sandra. I told her how distraught and upset I was to be going without air for 5 days without any solution by Choice Warranty. I told her I didn’t feel very much like a valued customer that all the service people would tell me as they ended our communication. She told me that a request for the correct part was in The Purchasing Dept hands.

    I requested a call from a manager. This was at 11:36 am. Finally At 6:09 pm a manager Joseph called me. He confirmed that everything was in purchasing’s hand to get the part ordered and it should happen tomorrow. I asked him if in the morning he would stay on top if it making it happen and from the tone and response I concluded he didn’t have that authority to do that. So here we are going on day 6. No air conditioning repair for a senior citizen with health issues after she in good faith paid for this service. I don’t feel very valued by Choice Warranty.

    Our air conditioner broke and we live in Phoenix, AZ where the temperatures are over 100 degree every day. We filed our claim and got a notice that the AC company wouldn't be out until 4 days later. My husband called and complained since our house isn't livable and we got the repair company out the next day. The repair company told us we need a new compressor, new coil, and more Freon. Due to the age of our unit these items are not readily available so there would be significant delays to either find the replacement parts or to replace the unit.

    We called requesting a portable AC unit so we can continue living in our house while we wait. We were told they will not provide any portable unit and it is not their problem that we can't live in our house for the time being. We kept up our end of the agreement by having our AC serviced regularly and paying on time for the warranty. The customer service is terrible and they don't care at all about their client's well-being. Requesting a portable unit is a very reasonable compromise to dealing with long delays on 100+ degree weather and they are not willing to help at all.

    Today is 6/10/20 since 4/6/20 I have been trying to get my AC fixed. Choice sent Texas Heat and AC to look at the system. They said it was low on freon and added it then said I had to have the outside system cleaned for Choice to approve claims. That was a 50.00 charge in addition to 75.00 that is charged to come out.

    I called back next day same problem. Tech came out said nothing wrong with system. Multiple times they came out and I paid almost a grand in additional repairs to them. 6/9/20 I informed Choice that the system was still not working. They tried to send Texas Heat and AC back out but I let them know that was not a option as I feel robbed. Another man came out. Found the problem in one visit that the other company could not find in 6 visits. The claim was submitted and they awarded Texas Heat AGAIN. After 2 hour long calls I got a email saying 300 additional dollars would be required to complete the repair.... THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.

    Leaking dishwasher. Very misleading contract from Choice Home Warranty! When we bought the $2400.00 contract for our appliances we were told if unable to fix, Choice Home Warranty would replace appliance with the same (or if no longer available one that would compare to broken appliance)! Would never recommend anyone to buy this warranty. After being told that appliance was unable to be fixed Choice Home Warranty offered to pay us $179.99 to put toward a new dishwasher! After complaining about this price they finally said they would give us $355.00 and the check would take 30 days for us to receive. Needless to say I had to go buy a new dishwasher for the cost of 1004.00. I would warn anyone that is thinking of using Choice Home Warranty not to go with this company.

    The technician diagnosed air conditioners problem. Now we are waiting on Choice Home Warranty to OK and send part. We live in South Texas, the temp outside is in the upper 90's now and Choice needs to allow their a/c repair techs to go to the supply house and get the needed parts to get the air conditioner going asap!!!! The other thing I don't like about this is so far it has been 2 trips for the problem and will require at least one more if that repair doesn't fix the issue.     Air conditioner Repair. The malfunction with my system was the failure and arcing inside the sup panel outside by unit that supplies 220 VAC to outside unit. This panel is required by the city's inspection and building regulations.     I filed an online claim for a broken AC on May 28. Come June first I had still not heard anything from them. I called customer service and waited on hold for 30 minutes before deciding to leave a call back number instead as I was guaranteed to not lose my place in line. No one ever called me back. June 2 I filed an online request for them to contact me about my claim, no one ever called. June 4 I received a MARKETING CALL asking me to use them for my security system.

    Finally June 5 I got through to customer service who told me a technician would be at my house between 11 and 3 on June 8. I got a family member to wait at the house while I was at work and FIVE HOURS LATER no one had showed. I called Choice, waited on hold for 45 minutes for them to tell me it was the technicians fault for not showing. They gave me his number, I called him and he said he had never received any requests for my address and that he doesn’t do work with choice.

    I called Choice back and waited on hold for another 57 minutes and requested a higher up supervisor. I was told this request would take 24 to 48 hours. They promised someone would be at our house the next day. Nobody showed up once again. It has been two weeks in a house with no AC and back to back 90 degree days. There is no way for them to find someone available to fix it? There is no emergency same day request option? I hope no one EVER wastes a single dime on this useless company full of useless call center employees. My AC is STILL broken!!!

    A/C stopped working May 27th. Although a technician, William **, was assigned immediately and he identified the blower motor as the problem, the part was not acquired. We have a Kenmore unit, Model C8MPV10020C; SN AO83045404. In a conversation with Champagne, Choice Resolution Mgr, Thursday June 4th, she agreed to send a second technician without an additional Service Call Fee. Although Choice said to expect a technician on Saturday June 6th, he was unable to come until Monday June 8th. The second technician, Bobby **, confirmed the blower motor as the problem. He told me that Choice would be denying the claim but he would restore our service probably the next day. So we paid him $1250, the price.

    Choice would have paid if they didn’t deny the claim. Cox Bldg Services came today but they had the wrong motor. Their source will not be able to get the part until tomorrow or the next day because it had to be ordered. I filed a rebuttal to the denied claim. Ten days and our A/C is still out. I am not pleased with my Choice Home Warranty contract.

    You company CHW is a rip off. I would never recommended anyone to use your service. My AC was not working, called you the first appointment, they never showed up. Second Appointment never showed. When I called the number you provided wrong number. Now it's week 3. Set another appointment they show. The guy was nice. Told us we needed the core cleaned. You denied the claim. We said, "OK we will pay for core but we also needed freon." You denied that too. What are we paying you for. Missed 2 day of working and still didn't pay for anything. That's when I had to cancelled my contract with you. Good for nothing. Next time I will do my research. You not value your customers time.

    I made the mistake of purchasing the home warranty for 5 years. After one of the AC units stopped working, the warranty did not cover it. After a week of back and forth emails and calls, I managed to get them to purchase the part that was needed to fix the AC but I ended up paying over 2,000 for labor. I tried to cancel my warranty but they said they would only refund me $200. I still had over 3 years of coverage worth about $1600. I kept the warranty. The AC broke again last week. I called the warranty and they sent a technician. The problem now was the panel that powers the AC. The warranty denied the claim because the warranty does not cover that panel. It is part of the AC but not covered. I had to pay the service call $45 and the new panel $150 out of my own pocket. What is it to have a warranty if it does not cover the most important parts of your home. DO NOT BUY CHOICE HOME WARRANTY!!!
